"So lots of other great stories and laughter and just good times. So the bottom line is, if you want to be a part of this, like I said, as a recording network, 85% sold out sold out so quickly. There are still cabins left, but not for long. Probably only the next week or so, maybe two weeks or so. So if you want to come join us, please do Chris Jericho Cruz dot com. If you've bought your cabin already, you booked your cabin. We haven't even announced the lineup yet. And that's what I like the fact that this is sold so well just on the name that Jericho Cruz because people know they're going to have a great time. So it really is like the Super Bowl or WrestleMania or double or nothing a WW or nothing like you know what it's going to be, which is just a great show and you don't even care about any matches or don't even care about who's on board. And I'm already working. I've got some stuff going on. We've already have offers out to a bunch of people. Some people have already accepted some people have already declined. But it's you're in a pretty good position when you've sold out pretty much before you even go to the talent. So because that's the one thing I never wanted to be was a promoter. And I went from order. I have to say, well, he's offered this guy X amount of dollars. And offer that guy X amount of dollars. And give this band that, give that band this. And every year, when the cruise line comes out, people say who they signed up to see, but because we sold out so fast, all we had on board on the list was Chris Jericho and AW. So you know they're going to be on there. Both of us, AW and Chris Jericho. And of course quarantine is going to be on at fozzie, paranormal 60 guardians of the jukebox, vaudeville. So those standards of beyond there. Of course, red cup, Jeff will be on there. The head bartender, the goodwill ambassador teddy Irvin will be on board. Dave spivak project will be on board. So all the usual suspects, but who's going to be on board this year that's different from the last well, like I said, I'm working on that lineup right now as we speak and getting it all together, you know, and once again, every year we put on people that might not be as big stars as you think until the next few years too, no one really knew MJF and Britt baker, right? Cruise three, orange Cassidy, something he's on board and Wheeler you to onboard. And Ricky Starks is on board and will Hobbs on board. This year, who is it going to be? That's going to stand out as kind of the top new name action Andretti was on board. Top flight was on board. The sandy Guevara and Danny Garcia and name after name after name swerve Strickland. So who's going to be on next year? We will find out, but like I said, I promise you it is going to be the vacation of a lifetime. If you're joining us for the first time, I'm super excited about that. If you're joining us for the 5th time, I'm super excited about that. And of course, anything and everything in between, we have a great history here and I think we've got a great track record of people having awesome time. And once again, that's what it's all about. So I get all of this information every day on a daily basis. So I'm following every single number every single demographic, whatever it may be, I'm on it to make sure that you guys have the best time that you could possibly have. And that's basically where we're at. So just to let you know we have coming on board. This is great. 30% of our guests for the 5 alive are first time cruisers and 12% or 5 time cruises. So that's great for business. In the fact that we've got such a huge turnover of new people coming on board. You guys are going to have your socks blown off and then of course the OG's 12% have been on board every single cruise. So I thank you for that. We'll see you on the 5 live stay tuned for talent releases as far as who we're going to put on board. All that sort of announcements and who the podcasts are going to be and that it's crazy to think that we still got 11 months to go before the next cruise and we're still working on it. I got off the ship, still wearing my Dan hills and makeup and we were basically working on 5 alive from the moment before these global ended. We announced the 5 alive at the sail away show on the four leaf clover. So that's usually how it goes. We decide the next year pretty much a few months before the actual cruise goes out so you have all that information ready to go. So you want to keep it going and keep the ball rolling and keep people excited and that's what we did. And so like I said, we're going to end it off now with about 20 minutes from WWF in the 80s is what I call the podcast. It's hacksaw Jim duggan. It's Brutus the barber beefcake and it's IRS Irwin R shyster Mike rotunda. And I booked these three guys with the idea of doing this podcast, originally haku was going to be on board and then he dropped out. So then I think we put beefcake on, but I like having that element. It's not just current wrestlers, but it's also some of the OGs as well. And we had a great time. Hacksaw was so hilarious, one of the stars of the show, for sure. Of course, all three guys were great talkers at great stories. We're going to talk about where they got their gimmicks from, how they got into the WWF from working basically regional promotions. We had a great time. We have a full house. We had a lot of fun. So we're not going to air the whole show, though, because I want you guys to get exclusive content on board the Jericho cruise. So just a little taste of the fun that we had with three of the all time greats. So enjoy the rest of this show. And we'll see you on the 5 alive next year. If you were quick enough to buy your cabin and once again, if you haven't bought it yet, there are still about 15% of the cabins left. So join us if you can. All right, take it away. Hacksaw Jim duggan, Brutus, the barber beefcake, and I are. All right, so

"Up close and personal. There are many cops and sergeant Dan Hill said, and firefighters M s That do not want to get vaccinated. Because they're already immune because they've been exposed. They don't want to do it. Now, Joe Biden is going to make them do it Make cops are like in my mind like soldiers defending America. They must do it. Then he exempts the Postal service because they contributed to his campaign. Let's continue. Got me all pissed off. Let's go to Mark and Lebanon, the home of the Golden Lamb and Marco Hedge on the Bill Cunningham, Sir Mark, Go ahead. Well, I I have a question. You know, they removed all the liability from right all the drug companies, right? And I think you know, I don't know what I think, if people that we're concerned about what happens two or three years from now. They put their money where their mouth is and say, Okay, let's if it's so good. Well, we'll take care of you. Mm. I mean, uh, my son's 30 years old and they just had their first child and I'm sure they're going to have more. But He's they're both concerned and they're educated people. Mark what I'm concerned about. Is the status of our nation that we have a wide open southern border unattended. We have an invasion going on of largely millions of individuals who don't fit into our society that don't have skills that we need. They're going to flood the public schools and public health care. We have a currency. The dollar that we borrow $5 billion every day because of the spending in Washington that cannot be paid back. We have the American soldier and generals incapable of winning a war. We're about 76 years into it. No victories. We have Afghan Taliban and terrorist released by Obama in order to get Bergdahl out. We have five of the best terrorists in the world now running the Afghan government on 9 11, they're going to have a gigantic celebration of 9, 11 and Kabul, Afghanistan, talking about the victory over the Great Satan. We have large urban public schools incapable of educating Children about to blow up into more riots on a regular basis, middle class jobs and manufacturing jobs are almost non existent. And for a young person facing that, mark, I'm a grandfather now and a father. I'm greatly concerned about the future of this great country greatly concerned. And now The federal government is going to cause millions of employees to leave their jobs because the benefits of not working exceed those of working. So let's continue. We have Larry Bryan, Cathy and Chris. We have, of course, full lines of one ever becomes available. 749 7000, Plus, I have a text Another good friend of mine. The hunter. "Friday of next week with the Los Angeles Dodgers in town. But until then, so much going on, we've not heard from the mayor of Cincinnati, John Cranley in quite a while. Many issues are percolating Number one with the mayor Andrew Ginther did in Columbus yesterday. We then have the indictments of his main competitor to become the Democratic nominee for governor, whenever a headline says Unsealed warrants show FBI suspected Dayton contractor of bribing Mayor Nan Whaley. That's always a bad headline. Plus, we have the comments of Sergeant Dan Hills of yesterday. So the man with the answers is the mayor of our city. John Cranley and John Cranley. Welcome again. And the Bill Cunningham showing Mayor how are you? Well, I'm very good. Good to be back with you two or three issues of percolating number one I had on your friend and mine's Sergeant Dan Hills who is not vaccinated, and I think the city Is going to implement a policy requiring employees to get vaccinated or to be tested once a week. He wants neither he along with most of the coppers, firefighters, EMS personnel. Have been exposed to the virus to have the antibodies. So what do you say to the Sergeant Dan Hills and the firefighters? Etcetera who do not want to get vaccinated for whatever reason when they've already been infected with Covid 19. Why would you require them to do that? Well, first of all, um It is my understanding that the city manager is working some issues out with The police and firefighters and asks me are big three big collective bargaining unit, and they had asked for some help on Testing and You know on how and where to do it. Um, but fundamentally, we believe that Thanks. Either testing or vaccination is a condition of employment. However, we are slowing the process down to work out some kinks to make it easier for folks to either test or vaccinate well, and Sergeant Dan Hills his case. He claims that to have the The Popsicle stick stuck upside a nostril and bringing out some of your brain is bad for him because he's on blood thinners and they will call some some blood to be expelled. He doesn't want that. Plus, like many Americans in L. A. It's uncomfortable to have that happen on a week. They can't speak for him. I'm sure you spot you speak to him, and he said, it's almost punitive and painful. Either You do what we tell you to do, or else we're going to hurt you every week. Is that the message? No, no, the messages that or I believe in freedom of organizations. You know if a cruise line in Florida wants to require vaccinations that's free market and and their competitor cannot require it. But the city believes that people should test or be vaccinated, and I think everyone will be. I personally hope that everyone Gets vaccinated and then ultimately the booster to end this pandemic sooner rather than later. But I don't think it's unreasonable to ask for one or the other, because if if you're not vaccinated and you have it, you may spread it to others, and so it it just seems like it. It's fair. To require. What are the other now? Having said that? The way in which we're requiring it. We slow down to accommodate some of their concerns. What about the fact that Sergeant Dan Hills and he claims most of the coppers firefighters AMs They've all been exposed to it? They all have antigens or antibodies, and he can demonstrate he did recently that he has sufficient antibodies in his system from age 78 months ago when he was infected to ward off infection. The vaccines. Purpose is to provide antibodies is would you consider it acceptable if city employees presented evidence every week or every two weeks that they were indeed filled with antibodies and didn't need the vaccine? Would that be a factor? I know that That issue has been raised, and that's one of the things that we're looking into. I don't know how it will be resolved, but I know that he has raised that issue, and I know the managers taking it seriously and trying to figure out what the options are. Page two. Columbus Mayor Andrew Ginther announced on Wednesday yesterday he would sign an executive order that would require everyone regardless of vaccination status to wear masks inside publicly accessible buildings. The order becomes effective tomorrow on Friday, the places where it applies Involves courthouses, grocery stores, restaurants, barber shops, movie theaters, any other publicly accessible indoor area. Is Ginther, right or wrong. I believe in local government making the best decisions for their people, but we do not intend to pursue that here. I don't believe that people who have been vaccinated should be required to wear mask and it's impossible to know. Whether someone isn't reason, so I don't think it's a practical way forward. So as the mayor of Cincinnati, you will not follow the lead of Andrew get through to require mask mandates in the city of Cincinnati. I respect his right to do what he thinks is best for the people of Columbus. I think it's too impractical to do here and I know our police would not what we really do not want to enforce it. It's impossible to know by looking at somebody whether or not vaccinated or not, and the CDC. Is only recommending that people who are not vaccinated wear masks. Are you vaccinated? Absolutely yes, and I encourage everyone listening to get vaccinated. Would you get the booster? The extra booster when you get three? Whatever it takes, would you continue to do that? Absolutely. I know many, many people who have who have gotten the Delta area after being vaccinated. They tend to have milder cases, although not all of them, But clearly the vaccination helps in the booster helps. And this may be like the flu shot, something we have to do once a year for the rest of our lives. Now I'm told by the infectious disease experts around the tri state the nation in the world that this Particular virus will be with us at least through the end of this century. Now, I'm not sure you and I will be here and 79 years, but nonetheless, it's going to be here a long time. And I think that's uh truthful statement. You just said now Page three. It's always a bad deal when you're running for the next high political office and the headline says Unsealed warrants show FBI suspect that Dayton contractor of Bribing Mayor Nan Whaley It goes on to say, among other things, that there's wiretaps that they had, and, uh, and one part of this story. It says that Blackshear who is one of the one of her Bobos Uh, that was on the tape, he said. You know, the city of Dayton Commission doesn't have to come out here. So Blackshear does all the running black shirt comes out here and collects all the money. Quote unquote quote. Even Nan Whaley is in on the deal. And one of her one of the co conspirator said, Oh, yes, very much. So it goes on to say that. In another unsealed search warrant requested for a city commissioner Joey Williams, home, an informant said he had heard Rouse quote had donated thousands of dollars to the mayor's campaign. I current city of Dayton Mayor Nan Whaley. Williams indicated the date and businessman had donated $50,000 their campaign. And 25,000 never made it to the campaign. And then the Columbus Dispatch went over and looked at the Montgomery County Board of elections. And there's no donation whatsoever from Rouch. So it appears from the FBI that she pocketed around $50,000 in cash that did not hit the campaign, nor did that But it did hit her pocket, and I would assume she did not declare that on her taxes. But that's me speaking, she ran in 2017 is the Democratic primary opponent dropping out supporting Richard Cordray..

About the idea of continually delivers. If our life is constantly in jeopardy when it is not 375,000 Americans die every year of tobacco used, but many people I know still smoke. There's about 80,000 Americans die every year for alcohol abuse. But Budweiser has advertise everywhere in Crown Royal. So there's all these things that we do. Another noted person died in a motorcycle accident. There's hundreds who die every year riding on motorcycles, but we don't ban them. It's a risk that we take in life live with it. "Device to as well, um, coming up in in just a few. Here on the show. I think you got to step back to and look at as we talk about things like violence in Cincinnati yesterday had Dan Hills on from the F O P on the show, and we've heard a lot from the decision makers and power brokers. But we know that there are some crimes that are happening in our city and elsewhere across the country. Extremely violent. Why this is right now and why we're so tense is beyond my pay grade. And you know, we're just We're seeing it in every day Walk of life, too, that people are literally Walking on a walking on a razor's edge. And you see things that in your day to day travels I did yesterday. I wanna get this after 9 30. Maybe think about, um what? We're listen. What we're seeing with violent crime and white people are why young people are shooting each other. Why? For example, in Chicago, Um, and this story got lost in the mix because we're going through a spate of violence right now. We had I forget how many shootings with 200 something shootings? I think across the United States but in Chicago Um, And this this this blew me away. I mean, literally because it's not getting any attention. At least it isn't here. So some undercover agents 80 F officers in a Chicago cop there at six o'clock in the morning. Over fourth of July weekend there on an on ramp to the highway, and all of a sudden the vehicle pulls up next and opens fire. And the officers struck. They're going to be okay. But again, you have cops that were shot. This year alone in Chicago, and keep in mind were only into barely into July. 36 police officers in Chicago have been shot this year, 36. In over the Fourth of July weekend. Um 100 people citizens were shot. 18 of them died. And that includes a 15 year old boy in about five of the victims were under the age of 13 to the point where an alderman was begging President Biden to go to Chicago to give them extra assistance. What they can do, I don't know, but He said, Listen, we've got about 100,000 armed gang members. Who are literally are running the city. They're wreaking havoc on Chicago in specific neighborhoods. Anyone Chicago and have people scared to death. They let their kids play outside. Which sounds a lot like what happened. In in Westwood with the eight year old boy who's still lying. On life support. And it happens all the time. And that's probably a lot of those individuals like that shit up at 36. Police have shot you step back and go. Wow. You know, you hear about wanting to to crack down on this nonsense, the same type of violence right? It's young people have guns in Chicago. Same thing in Cincinnati and If you want to do that here now there's been pushback. I think from different civil rights organization saying Well, now we're going to start profiling. Yeah, that's kind of what we're doing here. Young black teenagers generally are the ones doing the shooting. Now that looks like profiling. Well, that's a group right now. And I'm not saying that doesn't happen, and we'll certainly white communities have problems, too. Or if you go to rural areas, God knows we've got problems, but the fact of the matter is urban violence. Is almost exclusively a minority problem. Okay. It doesn't mean that we're targeting them directly because of cover their skin. It's because that's where the hot spots are. And so how do you bounce it between dealing with with, you know, not violating civil rights at the same time? Stopping the violence. It's a tough line to walk right. And as I said, You know, we're seeing this. This type of I'm not hair trigger kind of nonsense happening, and pretty much every community. It just seems a lot more tents out there not just did in the inner city. Certainly we're seeing the gun violence, but Elsewhere around. Well, probably not just Illinois, but also here in Ohio. Want to get into that after 9 35 some ideas on that, um, and your calls to right after Brian checks, The news on 700 wlw news, Traffic and Weather news Radio 700 W L. Galligan, Cincinnati. "Alright, the gun violence in Cincinnati continues to be a topic I will state. It's not like it's an epidemic right now. All right, We're not having all time highs in in various categories and like we're seeing an uptick certainly. Some neighborhoods. It's much worse than it used to be. But overall not so much, however. Would have to say it's part of a scary, disturbing trend. Would you agree? When you start to hear about eight year olds getting shot in the head in Westwood? When you start to hear about teenagers 500 out of that 500 there's a few handful That are causing some serious problems. The point where there's gunplay on the Fourth of July, and a 16 year old shoots a 19 year old. The 19 year old shoots the 60 year old and they're both dead. Coincidentally, there were three innocent bystanders who were hit. Luckily, it was only 31 young lady is in critical condition. Still, hopefully she pulls out of it, but she had no did nothing to do with this. She's there enjoying yourself. Next thing you know, she's hit by around. We can't have this in the areas where we're renovating. And making more livable and encourage people to come downtown. And then you hear these stories and has the exact opposite effect. And we've had story after story after story about young people acting stupid Not just acting stupid but Felonious. Think acting stupid is what you saw Kings Island a couple weekends ago, so it's not just Cincinnati. It's all over the place. We had something like 150 shootings this weekend in the United States over the Fourth of July. That is intolerable. To the point where Joe Deters is on with Willie yesterday and said this about the gunplay. It's the same violent group over and over doing this, and I told the chief today That if they arrest somebody, they can exercise their rights on Terry versus Ohio, which you're familiar with. Stop and frisk if they believe these people are carrying in Stop them. Frisco if they got a gun if they're under disability. If they're illegally caring the gun arrest them. They will be indicted in Hamilton County. We are doing no plea bargains. We are done with this nonsense. We're doubling down in the court system. Uh, no plea bargains he's issued. He's laid it down. We're not dealing with the issue. You pull a gun out. You shouldn't have won. If your disability you're underage, or you're just you're gonna shoot shoot at somebody. Guess what? No plea deals. We're going to throw the book at you. That's a felony. That's some serious, serious stuff. Now. That's declaration. My question. How long has been okay if you're a cop? How you gonna handle this? You know you have the Citizen's complaint Authority. I talked to Dan Hills in the first hour of the podcast. Today You can get that in the I heart radio Apple tweeted out to have to show at Scotts alone on Twitter Follow me and asked him point blank about the same for a police officer. In that you're an environment you make baby. I don't know. 50 60 grand a year, Let's say and you have the Citizen Complaint Authority. Dan Hills was very skeptical about at this point, saying they're looking to get officers. So if you're on If you're been put on blast by the sea, see a saying, Hey, we're looking for you. If you have too many stops if you stop to many people of color If you stop too many young people, too many stops in one particular neighborhood. We're going to come at you. However, Joe Dean was saying, Guess what? Stop and frisk Let's start knocking on windows. Let's start stopping people. If we see something suspicious, make the stop. Those two things are directly at odds at one another. And my fear is that officers are going to look at that and go. Do I want to be? No, Derek Chabon's a bad example. But do I want to be a do I want to become Derek shop? Do I want to be Ray Tensing, who, by the way, was exonerated twice. And now lives somewhere else outside of Ohio because he lives in fear. Do I want to be Ray tensing. The answer? Of course, is Hell No, I don't want to do that. So what I do is Yeah. Good luck, Joe. We'll see what happens, though. I think at some point the community and I'm talking about people live in Cincinnati. What winds up happening is they're going to get sick and tired of this is gonna be too many eight year old shot in the head. And people are going to revolt and say, Listen, we demand prosecution. We demand that you knocked the stuff that knock this stuff down because that is the silent majority. That's out there. Now we're learning a little bit more about Milo Watson. I haven't heard much about Dexter. Right, Junior, the 19 over the 16 year old. Now listen, this stuff. Got a call this morning, um, that there was an incident. Princeton football game last year, and Milo Watson went to Princeton, and they wouldn't let him back in because of well issues like bringing a allegedly bringing a brandishing a gun, a firearm at at a football game. That's what I heard. We're going to find substantiate that, but that sounds about right. He was set. Watson was to appear in court Friday as in this Friday On charges that he and his brother Beat the hell not only beat the hell but face stomped. Had stopped a 31 year old dude outside the Walgreens in Springdale. And there's video of it. And this happened. I think in April he still has Headaches from this back. Injuries. Broken nose, broken ribs collapsed. Long, serious, serious injuries. Milo Watson got probation for that If you watch this video And you look at the predatory nature because Milo Watson's a Predator. He was a predator. I should say preying on this 31 year old man Now I don't know what the beef was. But you're stopping the guy's head in front of a camera. There was no compassion whatsoever. None whatsoever that Milo Watson showed the 31 year old victim. He gets probation for it. He's out on bond. Your profile cages. Probation Fine. He was due back in court. He winds up shooting at a 19 year old. Again. He's not supposed to have a gun. The 19.

"And then these officers, and generally they're the wives. There were, there was some female officers mainly were wives and Children standing up and down the steps ahead of one Plum street because so many cops are getting killed. That the cops demanded better equipment. Kevlar vest. They demanded two persons per police car, and the police had like a nervous breakdown. Because there was a sense they're getting killed at a faster and faster rate. Cincinnati was the murder capital of cops. In the United States of America. And the final straw was probably Birdsall, who was murdered by a Wayne raid and Russell Bell that by the way, less gains and I represented them, and it was a time in Cincinnati. That was incredible, Vice Mayor. Imagine if those circumstances are present today. And the 1000 cops, uh, went on strike refused to report to duty. And snapped off the ignition and the ignition, the keys and what and and suddenly they were hearing after hearing on city Hall Now we got problems. Yeah, it would. It would have been, it would have been terrifying And I'm sure it was terrifying for the council and the mayor at that time and terrifying for yourself to be there, But Um, if you're not that message, you know, we probably would not have gotten bulletproof vests when we got them. And And in those bulletproof vest today, If if officer Bennington had won, he would be alive. No question. In fact, imagine. Imagine his courage Dennis Bennington. That as he's dying, he pulls out his his six shooter. And and murders just a split second after he had caused the death of fellow officer Robert Seifert. By sadly, he was struck in the head by a bullet from the assailant and then Bennington expires, killing the assailant and so and imagine the police officers reporting to that scene. I'm unbelievable. They were there today. Those officers who came to the scene an officer came to me and said I was there and I held Bennington. I mean, these were the kinds of stories That were being relayed today. I mean, they were officers, retired officers who came who were crying today. Um, it was a very emotional time and the officers were saying it's like I'm reliving. What happened all over again from 42 years ago, and the families that were there Now the now the grown Children that were there. Their messages were incredibly strong. I mean, Tina Message, um and and and robs message, both of them very supportive of law enforcement, really talking about the recommitment. The integrity of law enforcement and making sure that we advocate for their safety. Our officers deserve to go home and we have to make sure That we are clear about officers who lose their lives in the line of duty. The greatest sacrifice that we never forget them. Today was today was a just a very small gesture. Really, for us not to forget these two heroic officers who lost their lives in the line of duty. And I appreciate you giving me the time. You know when I think about Dan Hills are the F O P president, Um I want to acknowledge him in the work that he does and representing sit tonight police officers. It's not an easy job, particularly in the line of work that they have. So I'll tell you opportunity for me to lift up the F O P president Um and, uh, and thank him for his leadership. Christopher. I'm looking to my left and on CNN Right now they're going through the rubble of what happened in in Miami, Florida with the collapse. 11 floors pancake of that building. And the PTSD that individuals must go through. Imagine the horror of picking up a slab and finding crushed human bodies. Imagine the police officers Bennington and see for an imagine today or tomorrow. That firefighters or cops show up on I 71 or I 75 scraped three bodies out of some car that has crashed. And they have to deal the first responders who go there day after day day after week after week, and they say the most horrible things that human beings are not supposed to see. And I look at that. And I think also about Tony Timberlake and Hawaiian terrorists, retrieving his gun from his car during a volatile of scene. A couple nights ago, and several Children, two police officers, the media very officer Deon Mac has his service revolver is nine millimeter out gun on Tony Timberlake saying, What are you doing? Stop stop, and Tony Timberlake was Was was thinking, okay, I'm going to get my gun out of my car. And so with officers guns on him, he goes to his car pulls out. A weapon, which by the way was unloaded. But the officers didn't know that he was not within a split second and getting shot And then Officer Mack has the wherewithal not to shoot him, which is a miracle and then berates him and the police car, which he should have done. And I'm thinking might what an officer going through man. It's unbelievable. It's a It's amazing the pressure that you're describing Colonel Fiji, Colonel Davis Councilwoman Keating and, Um, uh, Lieutenant Cuomo. All of them have been working on getting the right funding for counseling. Support for our police and firefighters and I want to need it up they needed. I want to lift up Councilwoman Keating for her work in this area, And so you're right about What they're seeing on a daily basis, and I saw it today, Willie with retired officers. So emotional breaking down as they came back to the scene 42 years later. They're still relieving reliving what they saw when they got to that scene. And so I think, as Utah I love Willie. How you bring it back to today, Meaning we have officers today who are going to be stopping vehicles. I know you know this, but there is no routine traffic stop. They are the most dangerous for our law enforcement officers across the United States of America and in the city of Cincinnati, And so we have tenant windows and our officers are going up. They have no idea what they're walking into. And there will be officers across this country and across our city. That will be officers will be stopping vehicles and the potential of an ambush is still real as you and I are having this conversation, and I want to make sure that citizens as you who are listening to me. Please give our officers the benefit of the doubt. 10 and to welcome tenant. Keep your hands on the wheel. Answer the questions. Don't be a clown. And what would happen on Hawaiian terrorists with with Tony Timber like no previous record, and some some kid threw a brick or Iraq through his window. His his kid went out, beat the crap out of that kid. Then the kids buddies and his family showed up and all Tony Timberlake is thinking about what the hell is going on. And he's retrieving a gun without thinking that what are the cops thinking when someone that doesn't know in a tumultuous situation goes into a car comes out with a gun? That they're thinking he's going to kill us. They didn't know the gun wasn't loaded. One sheriff. There was a bullet ammo in the in the chamber unlikely, And so he was within a split second and of Officer Deon Mac of CPD had shot him. And then it was discovered The gun was inoperable. Oh, hell would have broken loose? That's very true. That's on the other hand, if they don't respond and the guy shoot somebody Shoots a cop. And then you're saying like Bennington inside for it. I should have shot earlier. But if I shoot earlier, I got to deal with losing my job and getting indicted. If I don't shoot early, and he kills somebody else, I'm liable for that. Split second life and death decisions, man. What do you do? Well, what you officers deserve to go Go home. Um, that's what they have to do. Um, and and again. You think about officers every day that go into the line of fire? We have officers that go to domestic violence situations. I know you're aware of that, and officers who then lose their life in those situations, So you know it's the traffic stops in the domestic violence calls..

"For those, you know, I live in a really safe part of town. And I'm grateful for that. And I think about it all the time, because it is a you know, I It isn't the same for everybody. Right? So you know, uh, but it should be the fact that I can walk around my neighborhood, but, you know, without fearing You know, uh, for my safety is a is a basic to me a basic fundamental right that should be provided to every single person, and that's where Um, I think this conversation is headed, which is we are denying people that basic right and yes, for these young Children to be able to walk to the grocery store and come home without Having to even think about the the idea that they may be caught up in the crossfire. Some shootout um let alone get hit. You know, it's just I mean, it's absolutely awful and people not much older themselves. Talk about a 19 years shooting an 18 year old here to over over stupidity over a beef over. It wasn't a drug deal. It wasn't uh, you know, it wasn't theft robbery. Nothing like that. It was like they had an argument, shot each other broad daylight and didn't care what the bullets went, Um, that that I think the more the police department is getting really strategic about getting these guns. That's that's the big thing, and the more we can invest in that the better number two and we're starting to see more and more officers walking to be. I was on Warsaw a couple days ago. Looking at you know the pedestrian safety issues, which is a big one. I mean, it's a big issue. But what I loved seeing more than anything else was officers up and walking up and down the street. That makes a huge difference in terms of People not wanting to be around their if their intent is to do you know, bad stuff and then three. You know, we increase your jobs by the largest, you know, in the largest percent ever. And all of that starts to materialize this summer, and I believe it will have a huge impact on getting kids into better opportunities. All right, not to belabor this any longer counseling Greg Lanzmann, but final point on this. I had captain Steve Saunders. Um, in the first hour of the show. It's on the podcast to 700 wlw dot com. The I Heart radio but also keep II best him the question, said the guy who is accused of this. The 19 year old was out on an O R bond for a gun charge when he committed this the shooting and shooting three other people got shot in this thing, too. Um, that's that's a justice system argument. That's a court system argument. Dan Hills from the union will be honored with Willie 12 6 to talk about this. Steve Saunders was not happy. I can imagine. Imagine what Dan Hills is going to say. What do you say as a lawmaker? So I think that I think they're right to be unhappy. II was stunned by that, too. I mean, you know, um, the O R piece. Obviously, there's something that you know, we saw more and more of during the pandemic because of the overcrowding and and just because of the nature of the virus and keeping people at the Justice Center and saying, Look, if we don't need to, But if you're on It was a gun charge. It was supposed to be for nonviolent. Offenders, right, But I'm not sure what the gun charge would have been. That would have deemed this person non violence, So I I absolutely think it's a big issue everyone we're going to have to deal with. We definitely get an answer. There are let me pivot on this one. Um and that is as you look at the upcoming budget. I think you vote on this in less than two weeks. If I'm not mistaken. A lot of money at stake here, including the Um, 69 million in federal stimulus and stuff that you have to allocate for. Um, I know one of the big issues coming up in Cincinnati Waterworks. And if you have to get a water bill, and if you're listening my voice you pay a water bill. Even if your landlord pays the water bill used to paying the water bill. You know what I mean? We have seen price increases on water in the city. Cincinnati go up exponentially over the years, largely because we have a lead pipe issue. Um, And there's about 15,000 lead pipes, um, on our side of the street, which means there's two sides as the site you guys are in charge of which would be the service up into the meter in front of your house or apartment. And then from where that box is that shut off is underground to your home or place a business is your responsibility. All in all, there's something like 60,000 lead pipes, most of it in the public infrastructure, but a good 15 20,000 on the on the public side of it, too, as well. We're talking about replacing those pipes because they contain lead. Is that something that seemed to absorb by waterworks and paying 100% other cities are picking up 100% of the costs were Cincinnati on this is that part of the budget? Yep, That would be part of what we would pass three quick things on this one. I think it is a one of the bigger things that we're going to do, at least since I've been on council, which is three years and not long. Uh, one is that water? We don't think of it like a basic service. But it is a core service The city provides right of public safety, garbage collection, street paving but having clean water It's got to be at the top of the list in terms of core services. Things that people depend on Number two is that we do have a lead pipe replacement issue, meaning that we're not replacing enough lead pipe. And on the private side. Um you know that that that that leads to About 3 to 350 acute lead poisoning is a year for Children, and that is devastating. That is a that's poisoning that that undermines the development of these Children. In a just a disastrous way. And we have the ability with this investment to get to zero to become one of the first cities that the lead safe. And I think that's a competitive advantage. Like if you want to raise a family come here because this is a city that's invested in the removal of all lead yet from pipes pertain come here because it's a Let's take place. I think that is going to be a competitive advantage and were, you know a decade away from being able to say that which is pretty incredible. The last thing I'd say is the infrastructure of the water infrastructure. Is huge. So if you remember Riverside when there was that big issue, and we had to spend a bunch of money to protect that, um, major artery to downtown, there are still issues there. There are issues like that all over the city. We have to invest in this infrastructure if we don't And I'm not trying to be doom and gloom. But this is a pretty intense, important thing for people to know if that pipes Or any of the pipes that sort of funneled into major areas like downtown. It goes out, you could see like a power water shortage of water outage for months. Right. Uh And so we have the ability to invest in this infrastructure. Get rid of this lad. And, you know, have the cleanest water in America and yes, that does require Waterworks being able to bond more in order to do these projects, and so there would be a rate increase. We're at about 30 $32 per Person now a year and Columbus and Dayton and others around 35 36. This would take us to 40, which over several years and I suspect that will keep us, uh, you know about where other big cities are, but we are well ahead of that It will be well ahead of them in terms of having the best water. We will..

Greg Lanzmann Dan Hills America 100% Columbus Steve Saunders three years Dayton first hour 19 years 60,000 lead pipes 15 20,000 less than two weeks 40 Willie 12 6 two sides 18 year old Cincinnati about 15,000 lead pipes Warsaw

"Off the air from a funeral director. He says. One will morticians get their vaccines and the dead. Give off respiratory droplets. I don't know. When will radio talk show host and producers get ours? I mean, the fact that matters everybody wants. The same thing is kind of like everybody wants to go to heaven, but nobody wants to die. At this point. We have a very limited number of vaccines. Unlimited number of people. So this issue with Dan Hills and Law enforcement began when they looked at their brothers and sisters in the fire department's getting it and they were not prioritized. In fact, they didn't they want even thought about. In fact, when I called Sergeant Dan Hills of a couple hours ago to say, Can you come on and talk about it said Well, what's going on? I said, we have the covert 19 situation happening. And how about cops getting and he said, Well, we're not getting it. Said, are the cops knocking down your door saying, Why aren't we And honestly is that not really And so it looks to me like the picking, and choosing has got to be based upon scientific fact is supposed to opinion. God knows we all have belly buttons will have opinions. And at this point if you're the officeholder, you're the guy in charge. It is up to you to make that decision. Critics and the pundits on left and the right can say, Well, you should have given it to cops. Then they'll be large numbers of those who work in nursing homes among the frail and elderly that would not get it. We have approximately now about 2.5 million Ohioans fitting categories. 2.5 million to get the vaccine, according to the one A and one B category, and the one see starts on Monday. At this point, we're gonna have 2.5 million Ohioans and wind reports He's getting about 100,000 vaccines per week and the need is well over two million and that does not include All the cops. Corrections officers. Deputy sheriffs doesn't include those who work in grocery stores. So those who come in contact with the public The fact of the matter is all of us who wanted out to get it. But then, secondly, you and I've dealt with this About half the American people what refused to get the vaccine and if required to do so. Many was still would not get it. And so if if that's true, and anecdotally I believe it is true. Governor, DeWine said that 60% of workers in nursing homes will not get it. And that half of the police department the fire fighters offered it will not get it. So to get to like, quote, herd immunity getting to 65 75%. We may never get to that point because too many of us refused to take the vaccine. I would take it as soon as it's available. I think most of my callers would say yes but by thin margin I had a call on the other day. From Adam's County. Forget the guy's name appeared bright and loose it, he said The great majority of people and Adams County in rural America would not take the vaccine if it's offered, anyway. And so well, it'll be months and months and a year or two. If that's true before we come out of this pandemic because you can't have half the population inoculated against it. And the other half. Refusing to take in, in which case is able to be spread. And I would anticipate Webvan 1918 1919 situation more than 100 years ago with the Spanish flu in which it really ravaged American society. Resulting in today's numbers about 600,000 deaths. At this point we're about 430,000 aren't away to 500,000 deaths, so we have to get to 600,000 to get the same number 100 years ago. And by today's numbers You do the do the math. It would equate to 2.2 million dead Americans today If the same number of 600,000 is acceptable and around the world. It was 50 million deaths coming out Award War one, and it went on and on for like a year or two. Because they weren't vaccines, of course, and the treatment did not include monoclonal antibodies and didn't include room desert here. They didn't have any sense they were masked, and that's about it. And it was not a political issue whatsoever when political Woodrow Wilson was not held to account for it. And the next president, who I think was Calvin Coolidge. Uh, it wasn't a campaign issue was simply a flu, and so we have a limited number. And then we have unlimited to man and we have large numbers of teachers and schools that want to get back. Melanie Bates is coming up later, and I spoke with her off the air about what's happening in CPS. And she told me off the air that they have clinics in each of the schools, health clinics, and they also have AH large restaurant operations where Children are being fed. Etcetera, and they're not in school, So the school in Cincinnati is a hospital. It's a restaurant and it's a school. What terrible awful results. Traditionally, school was not perceived as a place you go eat in a restaurant, and it went perceived as being Ah hospital or health care clinic. It was where you went to get educated. And parents used to send a brown bag to school with their child. And sometimes they would offer shall I say, hot meals most of time. They did not you simply it was up to each parent, too. To give a brown bagged your kid. You had some time to sit down and eat. That was lunch and the idea of of a health clinic being in a school that didn't happen. So now the schools because of the breakdown in the American family, we do have the worst generation of parents in American history Now living right now, the worst generation is today. That they take on the roles of families to care for Children that in the past would not have occurred. And so another reason to get the kids back in school, which they should have been since September is the fact that not getting properly fed more being abused? Educational achievement is not existent, and they're not getting their shots appropriately. So when Dwyane looked around and said the urban school districts in Ohio are largely shut down. In fact, most urban districts in America are shut down while suburban districts are wide open and Catholic schools and procure all schools are wide open. How is that possible? How can you be our lady of victory in the West Side? How can you be a cub Calf or Covington, Latin or LaSalle? And you're functioning. Because you have parents and kids that desire to be there and will fight through to make it happen. In urban areas education, which ought to be a prime responsibility of a parent. Get the kid out of the hole. The ditch in which the child finds him or herself is not in a sense, prioritized. And when I watch Laura Mitchell is the superintendent of Cincinnati and watch some of the school board meetings, which I do. You're gonna line them up out the door of pissed off parents who don't think they're kids should be in school. And they're paying almost confiscatory real estate taxes, and still, the kids are not in school. So It's a terrible situation and everywhere I look as the great American I can't recall a time. Uh, certainly since the 19 sixties, when America was more angry at itself. People are just pissed off about everything. For example, the right wingers or pissed off at the election that their guy Trump lost, and they firmly believe the election was stolen. It was rigged. That's what those on the far right believe. So they thought it was somehow justified because they're angry at the outcome of an election. The storm the United States Capitol, the hold it for several hours, resulting in five deaths, including at least one murder. And then you'd feel justified that what they did was OK, That's OK to take the U. S. Capitol, the United States Capitol and hold it for a period of time on the far right. That was okay. Look on the far left and it's justified in acceptable. The burn, loot trash and vandalized 100 American cities. If someone gets pissed off about an individual cops behavior, it's okay to break out Windows vandalized doors to loot to kill. And 100 American cities that somehow okay waiting for the next event to transpire, which will cause the left wing mobs toe once again March and destroyed downtown areas, whether it's Seattle or Los Angeles, Chicago, Cincinnati, whatever it might be, New York Just last week about 28 cops or injured in a fight with right wing Antifa activist..

"In the tri state enter to snow on the ground. Many people are unhappy about the lack of coverage our city streets by the Mayor John Cranley, but he's coming up later to talk about that and so much more. One of the issues happening now in the Tri state. The nation in the world is everyone's unhappy with everyone else. Everyone's all pissed off When I look on my right, I got the Antifa Tom on my left. I looked at the anti fur types trashing American cities on the right or the fanatical trump supporters taken over the Capitol occupying it, resulting in five deaths. And cops are mad. Firefighters are mad Teachers are mad. School boards are mad. One man, that's quite happy, though it sergeant Dan Hills, talking about vaccines and Maurin Sergeant Dan Hills, the head of the F O P in Cincinnati. Welcome again to the Bill Cunningham Show and Sergeant Dan, How are you? Really? I'm not mad at all. Yeah, e Yeah, They're saying that there's things I'm mad about, But I'm not. I'm not that way hit on yesterday. Your good friend Mike DeWine and others. And there was a missive of posting by Sheriff Richard K. Jones and Butler County about the lack of shots given two cops. And there's something the range of 32 35,000 police officers in the state of Ohio and they've not been prioritized by the governor, because We got to share. You got this shot. We got the shaft and and that that doesn't include E. M s and fire fighters. So can you tell the American people this afternoon? What is the status of vaccinations for Cincinnati Cops that represent many other cops in the Tri state. Well, last I heard we got pushed back by the governor, Teachers and some others got put ahead of us. And kind of put us in a group one B or to be or something of that nature and that kind of put us in with everybody else. You know, elderly and folks that you said it before. We're just not a priority group. Uh, some some police officers have been getting shot. When the firefighters have room to give us extra. So if they break out a batch, and it has to be used because of the tempter that it stored at and they run out of firefighters, that one the shot. We're going to get the shot that day, then no, no call for the police department and we've had some police and get shots. But we're We have. We got left over Fireman shots. And so when Tim Dickie and others said the far unit says, Well, we got a few Schlepps. We have to take care of. We've used all of our guys. Let's call the police and get them over here and see if they want to get a few shots. The host the whole police department it since, and I just kind of an afterthought. Yeah, pretty much. Victor thought I That was the way itwas in the early days of covert, too, when it came to the The gear, the special face mask and all those things do. We just never seem to get much stuff, But nobody seems like the police much nowadays. Really? It's just one of those things that Z It's been a long, hard year 2021 for police officers, and we're open things. Turn around a little bit. 2021 force do you sense Ah, Are you aware since you represent 2000 men and women who wear the blue and the city Cincinnati? Is it a problem? Do you hear from your rank and file that Hey, how come we're not getting shots and everyone else but not US teachers beginning today or getting shots at CPS. There were shots administer two custodians and God bless the custodians. I love custodians. I used to be one in college I used to. I used to clean toilets, and I used to do things and savior to help pay my tuition. I did those things. However, there's custodians in Middletown public schools getting shots. But to men and women in blue are not getting him. Why it's a mixed bag. You know, because you have some concert film plan to get the shot or want to get the shot. I think there was more anger. Heard more anger. When we were failing to get the gear we needed to clean stuff we needed in the beginning of the The coded pandemic and you know the thing is is that we just can't. We don't have the time. Sometimes the don the gear and hand the gear. That's a fire does and and we have tol We have to be, You know, in a different state of readiness, the police officers, you know, are much still more worried about getting shot than they are with, like a bullet. Not not not O'Neill. They're more worried about getting shot than they are. Getting the virus now. That doesn't mean they're not worried about getting a virus because we've had dozens of our officers stricken with the virus and some of them very, very hill. Some of them are in very long recovery because Um you know, lung damage and everything else so it's the virus has been very, very hard on the police department. But, you know, police officers are kind of used to risk their kind of They need a look out there every day, and they have to worry about certain things happening to him. And so they had. They had to also take this on as well. It's very brave group of people and sergeant. And isn't it true that cops come in close contact with May I say some of the worst elements in our society at least on a regular basis as firefighters do right? I mean, I imagine a firefighter is also coming contact with individuals, but generally it's not the duty your requirement of a firefighter to arrest somebody and maybe wrestle him to the ground. Cops do that all the time. You would think cops would be equal to firefighters when it comes to the vaccine. So how come firefighters got presidents over the cops? People like firefighters. You know, firefighters come and they help you in your sick and they're just generally seen as great people and we like firefighters. I like firefighters. But, you know cops like I said, for whatever reason. Society is kind of really Hit us with the ugly stick end and who we're not quite priority and your 100% right. We're face to face with people that often even more face to face with people than firefighters. And firefighters have the full respirator mask and everything they could take that extra second. T o don that type of equipment, and they're not as worried about the tactical issues. They don't have to walk down. Always, you know, wondering whether or not they're gonna be facing a gunman or whatever. So that's why Uh, police Officers don't even like some of that equipment again. We're more worried about getting shot in the end, then they are. Um then they are getting The virus. Despite the fact again the virus has killed hundreds of police officers across the country and and like I said, has made dozens upon dozens of Cincinnati after sick and some of them very, very sick, But I think they recognize that no matter what they do, they're gonna be exposed to the virus in some form or fashion. But they don't want to be exposed Tolo flying lead because that tend to be deadly at a much greater extent than thunder viruses. Insurance Sergeant Dan Hills.

Colts face different Titans' threat with Ryan Tannehill at QB

"Sunday. It is the titans and Ryan Tannehill. Dan Hill really happy for him. By the way at the Indianapolis Colts Starwood Tannahill and the November December Munster known as Derrick Henry. Well here's the thing with tannehill now barring the complete face plan the question is just how many guaranteed years does he get from the titans because because he's GonNa be the quarterback next year. They're really the running an efficient effective offense. I think he's up around fifteen yards of completion over his last two games. The problem is with Tennessee. Hennessy is. He isn't throwing the ball a whole lot so we had eighteen. Pass attempts against Jacksonville last week. Now of course two rushing touchdowns in two passing touchdowns so he he wants somebody a lot of money in DFS. But it's it's one of those things where decided Lamar Jackson. You really don't think that that's tenable. Because he's a good Ron. Everybody's not an explosive one but then he had the nineteen pass attempts against Kansas City. A couple of weeks ago. This is how they WANNA play. So I think Tannahill the hill is a streamer streamer the quarterback the problem is i. Don't trust any of his wide receivers because AJ Brown had the big game and Jacksonville but two weeks exco. He had the terrible game just one catch against Kansas City. So I'm not really trusting any of that. I think Corey Davis is flat out droppable right now because I have a tough time saying to myself. When am I going to play Corey Davis in any of my line at this point and so I think he's droppable? Ryan Tannehill has accounted for for over nineteen fantasy points and multiple touchdowns in each of his five starts his nine point two yards per attempt is leading the NFL. He's playing really well. And I think the colts are a gettable matchup even if it's not a pristine one but the guy you always trust here is Derrick Henry. You had a third touchdown last week wiped out because of a screen pass. The the colts are really struggling to score points right now and we heard this week. That t y Hilton so far isn't sure he's going to be ready to go on Sunday. This projects to be a lower scoring game in Indianapolis and that means all systems go for Derrick Henry locked in rb one locked in court. DFS play tight end for the titans writings. Nobody worthwhile nobody useful Delaney Walker. Could be back. Johnny Smith didn't even have a target last week. He had a carry their they got one in target for Michael Pruitt. Firkh sir. Didn't have a target Dennis Kelly the backup. Tackle got a touchdown. The tight ends and Tennessee are useless. It's really Tannehill and Henry Henry at this point of the season the only two guys that I can consider with any sort of confidence.
