"Stay cool tomorrow windy conditions north winds fifteen to twenty five with higher gas highs seventy two beautiful for mother's day weekend low seventies for Saturday mid seventies for Sunday I'm meteorologist Dan burn off in the care of the weather so well it's right now some high clouds seventy five degree sat with some wind KRLD good morning it is ten forty on John little live the Mercedes Benz of Plano news center it's good to have you here you can listen to us while you're at home on your phone or computer by using the radio dot com app we're all dealing with the pandemic in our own ways and it's important to realize what stress can do to our well being Dr Kent red cross is with us now to talk about it Dr red cross what can stress due to our health it was interesting everyone we returning it I just these think of stress is something that's a badge of honor almost as if we're supposed to have it we're working hard I'm here to tell you that's not true because we know the stresses associated with high blood pressure obesity and diabetes so we want to stamp out sure it's one of the things I've been hearing a couple of things I've been hearing from my pages because of the coronavirus increase stress and problems sleeping as well so there are some tips and things that we can think about they can make a pretty big difference I can so relate to that especially during this time so what can we do about our stress especially to help our sleep patterns well there's two things I want to think about that age I think about homeopathic medicines here because they don't require a prescription number one there over the counter the other thing is you don't necessarily have to worry about anything like risk of dependency so for instance for sleep quietude into homeopathic remedy is made by a company called boron a reason why I like quiet too it's been shown to help sleeplessness and also restlessly and then on the flip side for anxiety or stress the daily as important helps with nervousness or irritability and most importantly fatigue and it is also something that is non sedating and so that's something that's very very important well we're still trying to get to our days and figure out how we're going to manage the symptoms that go along with the corona virus such as stress the lack of sleep when you start taking a supplement like that you need to still talk to your doctor at least check in with him or her about that you know you should have but the good thing about homeopathic meds that they don't interfere with the there's no drug to drug interactions with me interfere with that's something they can give me at least peace of mind but you're right should always that your doctor knowing only that learning and educating yourself looks on I'm a western trained physician and I learned about the daily and quiet to just do my experiences with patients in trying to offer something that didn't require me to not only write a prescription but check blood test and that sort of thing but you're right you should always give your doctor a heads up it is let them know Hey I wanted to try this for stress that I bet your doctor would be happy to to give that a try instead of writing you benzodiazepine or something that okay because other challenges and now what are some other ways that we can reduce stress during this time naturally yeah so think about this guy two things I really like to mention number one is creating a gratitude journal and I know it sometimes sounds a little hokey or little corner here but I guarantee it'll make a difference because even when I look back in my journal and some of my entries I realized that even though the coronavirus is very difficult for me right now and for patients and so forth I look back and say you know what there actually were some times there were a little more challenging before in the past and I can make sure that I have gratitude for where I am now and really embrace that the other thing is performing a random act of kindness for others you know that's a little different here John I'm in New York and so we tend to be a little tough here with number we've been doing that here and it makes a big difference so some of those things to make others feel better I promise it'll make you feel better as well Dr Ken Redcross appreciate your time and helping us out with stress during covert nineteen all the way your traffic and weather together on the aids and we check in on the possibility of storms overnight tomorrow morning.

Hi, Mon a trip around the world. Yeah. Consider that if you can get I mean, do you feel the same absolutely one hundred percent I loved my wedding. So do nominal time at your wedding, my wedding, whatever, but I would advise that just in terms of the headache. And just what you could put that money towards them day. Did you have a moment when you were planning your wedding? Were you looked at Jodi with an eye and said faked my own death changed my identity. Did you ever look at her during the wedding planning process and say, we should we want to do this like maybe too late Matta we Dylan? No, I did not have that moment. It was a great process. But if you have the freedom to do the city hall or backyard thing, then just do a thing with a bunch of friends. I say go for that go for that, man. I would say go for that. In terms of something that I insist on spending a premium for that. I don't need to it's always food. It's always always food. And it's always I want to try as much as possible at restaurants. "You're gonna say I especially if your son daughters, really leaning towards Tennessee, basketball, or USC, tennis, whatever. Right. And you wanna make that real you want to have that impression with the coach well, Dan, and you cannot farm this out to mama h on that farm this out ten okay? You know, as I said earlier, some defining qualities do like the stick it to the man, right? My MO. We'll to the fabric of my being. Yeah. Everybody knows this about you. I also tend to over think. Yeah. So I would probably approach this from a deep psychological standpoint. I don't want to get too fancy with this dinner, nor do I really want to try and impress who's ever coming over to the house. Right. I want to try and get them at their absolute weakest moment. Most vulnerable moment when I can see truly into the soul. Yeah. Of the coach. I want something messy, and I want something informal. So maybe a big greasy burger, okay? Maybe we make wings. They we by wings from Dan street here. I want something messy, I want something. I can cook on the grill. You want them rolling up their sleeves rolling up your sleeves. Yep. I've never done a a boil. But maybe we do a boil out your own for it, something, that's that's messy dirty and informal to get the coach at his or her most vulnerable state. So I'm giving the coach and opportunity because I know this is apparently the code amongst coaches. They are always supposed to ask for seconds, really always ask for seconds because it indicates to the parents. Oh, my God this meal, you've prepared so good. It's very flattering to go. To somebody's house and say this meal is so good could I possibly have more. Could I have the recipe, and so that is a code amongst coaches. So I'm going to do. Something that would make it so obvious, and I would allow them to ask for seconds. I'm just making a giant panel Zonda this why I don't wanna spend too much time away from the coach a lot of questions. How are you gonna use my daughter the triangle offense? How are you going to is my son only to play doubles is my son a three down running back like an answer that right now, probably not pro. And I just need that one pan that one, you know, dish meal that you just throw the noodles you start layering. You get your meat sauce, yet some Italian sausage in there. Plenty of cheese. You just throw it in the oven. You don't think about it? Maybe throw together a salad, maybe some roast vegetables. But I don't wanna be doing too much. I wanna be sitting down with this coach. And then just hear the time ago off an outcomes lasagna, and then give the opportunity to coach to say, you know, what if you don't mind, I got that corner piece. If you don't if it wouldn't be too much trouble. Because this is the best lasagna. I've ever had throw me the corner pace throw me an edge that money edge. So I think it was on my answer. All right. It to spend optimal amount of time. I like Intel answer good answer. Good answer. Good answer. Okay. Why this is a question that I find myself having to answer, and I don't answer it. Well that often. When you're finishing up a meal at a decent or a nicer restaurant anniversary or just like, you know, what we need to go on a Friday night date term. We go. Sure. And it's maybe it's a little hip street where everything is printed in like typewriter font on a piece of paper that's four inches by eight inches. Those that kind of place they got truffle things. Yeah. Right. Server ask you if you'd like to see a dessert menu clean your plates..

"It's just topic for me to depict saying where the field stops in the football begins. I love the shades of grain. And that's obviously because I've been to an of watched so many autzen stadium games. But I love the sort of lighter darker green alternating. That's it's true at number of stadium. Yeah. I like nothing's nice terribly unique to autzen. But I do like that. I like how you can sort of keep track of yardage really easily that way on the fly. I think North Carolina's field. I think that that tar heel blue that they line it with I think it pops really nicely with the green turf. My number one's going to be. The Rose Bowl field. I like how they paint the sidelines up until whatever points with the colors of the teams that you have that the dark end zones that you know, that it doesn't just say Michigan or USC. It's that you know, they have the the Michigan blue all throughout that that end zone in the cardinal of USC, whatever there is something that is incredibly striking of the rose in the middle of the field. There is something just looking at that turf. And not even talking about the the bowl not even talking about the San Gabriel mountains the angle with which we watch at which we watched the game. It's a pretty low angle. Right. The Rosebowl angle. Yeah. And you almost see blades of grass when you're watching it. You know, I think he SPN probably what fifty sixty frames per second. Yeah. So there is something about the Rose Bowl that is so comforting turf -lize and I've walked on that turf before a couple of different rose bowls. And it's just it's magic. And so that to me is. Probably my number one overall field, but elements wise, I think you nailed the other ones the LSU Tennessee, the blue turf doesn't do as much for me. But I do like that. Sometimes birds land on thinking, it's a pond water. I enjoyed that element of it. But outside of that, I think those are all of my answers. Yeah. I mean, if I'm not going blue turf, I think I'm with you on the Rose Bowl. And you're right to point out the angle from which we watched the Rose Bowl as television television viewer. Do you hate any fields or any elements of any fields? Do you know what I absolutely love? And it's so terrible. Because I love watching the team. And I love the tradition around the field. And I love the colors and everything that happens. I hate clemson's end zone. Yeah. So much the Sarath zero Clemson get out of here. I think it's awful. I think it's tacky. And I hate it. I really that. I hate I need the Clemson M'S on. I don't know how I feel about the Notre Dame end zone. I think down on it. I'm anti. Yeah. I think are used sort of like it. And now just like the slashes are just it's there just to be there. Let's let's update there is a very simple quality to the Notre Dame field. Right. That I understand I like the turf of Notre Dame skilled they do they play on grass. They play on term surf now. Yeah. I like the simple nature of the field. And I can understand. Zones too much into that. But it doesn't do it for me give you the checkerboards. And I don't think Notre Dame needs to go ostentatious with their end zones. No, no, no. Of course, not just add a little let's let's go a little bit. You know, if there were some sort of shamrock easy design in there. I think that'd be great. Listen, we've had shamrock we've had issues with the shamrock series in the uniforms. I don't have any level of confidence that they could pull off the shamrock in the end zone on the home. What about Thai stay with me here? Pots of gold. Pots trying to get kazoo. It is the end of the rainbow. Right right, metaphorically speaking, I could go with thoughtful, classy pots of gold. I think you're onto something there, Dan. All right. I'm gonna give it some more thought. But I think Notre Dame can do something that with I'm going to think more about stadiums a hate or fields that I hate. All right. I think we're done with college football. So if you don't wanna keep listening. Thanks for the download it's been a pleasure keepdriving safely. Don't.

"That you're going to contribute to helping to payouts, whatever families specific is charities, whatever. However, whatever means you're going through. But you're budgeting what you like. And what's important to you where your money goes aside from quarterback give me specific player archetypes that you feel most strongly about investing in. I am sinking all of my money into building the two point. Oh of clemson's defensive line from twenty nutty. Okay. All of my money. It might not be the super sexy plan. But it is as we saw an enormous out getting Jerry, Judy. No, it is an enormous. Competitive advantage stops the run it affects the pass. It's part of what truly has set the SEC apart for all these years defensive line play. Plus if you can do what Clemson did and get three defensive lineman drafted in the first round, you better believe that moving forward the up. That's a position group that recruits at self long into the future. Yeah. So I go defensive line, first and foremost the way that it can change a college football game is something that you can't put a price tag on. I've been scarred by a couple of pretty poor defensive coordinators tie as an Oregon fan recently the time Don Pellum in the Brady Hoke eras, and thus I've watched some bad linebackers. Okay. That I should say bad linebackers. Maybe they were but bad linebacker play. And there is something about. A nails inside or middle linebacker, depending on the scheme. You're running gets everybody set makes calls, you know, run stuffer can drop in coverage. If I'm talking about somebody on the level of potentially Patrick Willis, Luke Keithly somebody like that. I think that's where I am just all the chips are going in that direction yet yourself like two or three Josh Allens. It's not a bad play. No. I mean, he's sort of stand up edge rusher. But. Yes, I I need line. I mean, you watch the Ohio State Oregon national championship game did not a lot of Zeki Elliott tackling happening in that game with an incredible defensive line with Eric Armstead into forest Buckner in front of them. So there is something a mentally personal about developing that like I I want a neck roll, I want a lot of pointing and yelling I want a lot of sideline towel waving. I want a lot of celebrations on padded balls. I want that captain anchor of a middle linebacker inside linebacker in. If he presents himself. That's where I'm spending my cash Kimmy defensive line all day every day. Okay reasonable. It's interesting that neither one of us took offense with this though. Yeah. I think you can develop receivers I think running backs the injury risk is pretty high. I acquit Nelson type shirt thing inside there. That's. If especially if you are team who's going to run a good amount. That's very attractive the road grader wrote greater. Yeah. You give me a Quinton Nelson. Type. I'm listening. I'm not hanging up the phone, by the way, Dan since we're talking about money, and you know, buying group. Yeah. This show are you credit card bills keeping you up at night. Sometimes. Yeah. You got into a lot of diapers time. Yeah. Interest rates in the double digits..

"But right now, I think the ACC isn't a bad place. Right. Hot takes. I host a podcast called sports wars. I need some stores in the where we go in next next. Let's stay in that general region. So last year, South Carolina went through the middle part of their schedule. So like late September or October early November, whatever five games there. They play not the best not the worst teams on their schedule. So this was not early season dumping. This was not Clemson lates who actually played pretty well against and each of those games on average was decided by field goal something like three point one or three point two points. And we used to refer to them as are we did refer to them as they were like the most competitive team they were in so many games lates. We were like, well, they're not going away. And they're not really good enough to put away these teams that are pretty good. So they're just competitive and these were decent enough teams marine Florida teams like that. So this year when you look ahead, and I think by the way, the net points per drive scored and allowed like netted outs point. Oh to it worked out, really really well, South Carolina. So when you look at the twenty nineteen. Season who strikes you in this. I guess is in the same vein as the most average coach. But who is the team that they're they're pretty good? They're just not pretty or good. They're just they're aggressively competent and competitive. I think the answer's Iowa. They're going to be in every game. Really strong line coming back on both sides. Okay. Nate Stanley lose two tight ends. But Nate Stanley Glenn love, we love. I think the answer's Iowa here. It's pretty good. I think it's north western. I both went big ten. We're going big ten. I think Missouri is an interesting answer. Yeah. I think they're especially they gave Georgia trouble last year. A game at half time. I don't know of anybody that I would take right now. Cal's a half team. I don't like taking a half team like the defense to keep a minute. But their offense is gonna start to keep him out of bunch of games. They were two lopsided last year. They do they'd win a game fifteen to ten, but then they lose a game like thirty seven to seven. So I'm not I'm not down with Cal there in the big twelve. I I think man, I always states had some blowouts, but I think they are they have gotten to a point where it's going to be hard to comfortably beat Iowa State. We saw Oklahoma struggle these past couple years going one in one last Kim Butler had his way with some some Oklahoma DB's. So I think I was state's a pretty good answer there that they're just aggressively competent, which like we mentioned earlier step in the perfect direction for the loans. I think it's the Nate the Nate Stanley thing I'm gonna load a list upright now. But I was talking about this with our pal Andy Staples before we did. The sl live draft night party thing that we did for the during the first round who is twenty twenty Daniel Jones who is the quarterback. Why do you keep bringing up Daniel Jones? Sorry. I know you're are you are you still a giants fan barely. Okay. Who is the twenty twenty quarterback that college fans will look at is like that guy. Re this him who is that guy. Man. I'll give you know, Andy's answer was who fully by Franks. Oh, man. That's a good egg arm. Great physical tools athletic. I think Nate Stanley's on the list man, who I think somebody could talk themselves into because I love Jake from. I've liked him since day one. Right. I think people are going Jacobson Easson Isa's one that jumps out at me heats. He jumps out at like he's going to make some wild throws. If he wins the starting job if starter he'll make some crazy throes and he'll finish seven. It'll be the seventh or eighth most efficient Pac twelve qarterback in somebody's gonna talk themselves into Jacobson because the measurable z- Nate Stanley. I think is that conversation. I think is pretty good. I just wouldn't take them in the first round. I guess right now from picking Jake e Sohn. Is interesting to me. Oh, man. I need my time with this one though will Brian Lewinsky looking at his officiency metrics from twenty seventeen you can't can't shine twenty eighteen though. Daniel Jones there for a long.

"But Tommy Stevens long thought to be perhaps the league's are for the starting quarterback job at Penn State has a side. He's not gonna not gonna roll the dice in state college with Sean Clifford's guy for star recruit. Is that who it's going to be for sure, it seems like you'll be the parent at this point. Okay. Cliff? A lot of folks pre. Hi, Sean Clifford was apparently not a slam dunk. Itami? Stevens is going to get. That job. So now he is keeping his options open. He's looking elsewhere Kentucky is school. I saw popping up. Mississippi State may be reuniting with Joe Moorhead don't know of either of those make a ton of sense. But hopefully it works out for him. Because certainly he put in his time in state college hoping to get that job and has injuries. So yeah, we'll see that. That's really the only notable thing for my end Daboh, Sweeney's everywhere. I think he threw out the first pitch in Milwaukee today was at the raptors game last night as we record this on a Wednesday just playing some pickup on the court. Also, Daboh Swinney may have purchased all of the Azores. He's doing well. He's doing well. For himself actually have four. Hi, I'm gonna use Daboh to get into our first, Dan QNA Q. What is your first burning question for me? Okay. So I burning question is we now know that Dabo Sweeney is slash will be the richest coach in football ten years ninety three million dollars of everything hits kind of thing. Well in college football. But who is who do you is college football's most valuable not rich as most valuable power five coach, which basically to me means which eight plus win team. Yeah. About that could most. Easily backslide because of geography school commitments the conference, they're in whatever. Okay into consistently not bowl team, if they were to leave and be replaced by the most average college football coach also who's the most everage college football active power, five college football, coach the most average power five college coach is something that we did discuss G chat..
