"Get out of the damn house. So they They, uh Put down the controllers. They walked outside. And I kid you not when I say. As they were walking outside. They start sort of rubbing their eyes like they've been in a movie or something for the past, you know, five or six hours. And we didn't see it for the rest of the day, and it was great. It was it was like they were outside and they were actually doing kids stuff. And that's the thing about when we find ourselves in these situations where The power's out. And you begin to realize just how what's the best way to put this you begin to realize Just how dependent And I'm not criticizing. Please understand. I'm not criticizing. But you begin to find out and realize. How dependent you your kids are in. Maybe you are On the electron IX and trying to keep your kids occupied. And it's terrible. So so here in in our house what we try and do it and trust me when I say one. I'm not little man's father. I am a step Dad in training is what I am. Is. I'm a step Dad in training. So you know a Amy's mom, but we work together, You know, to do the best that we can. And you know, there are times when when we do say you know what? For the rest of the day or for the rest of the weekend. No more Electron IX just not gonna let you do it. Because we want to make sure that he doesn't always have to have a controller in his hand, and I know I know. I know there's there's people out there. They're screaming at the radio on that right now, hopefully could listen to the radio. I know power's out for a lot of folks, but I know that there's a lot of people that are screaming at the radio right now saying but madness You know, they're great for for brain development, right? All those video games. They're great for brain development. I get it. I totally understand that a lot of these video games they do help, and there's some video games that are really, really violent as well. And by the way, I'm not one of those guys that thinks that violent video games are you know, leading to serial killers that that's not what I'm saying at all. I don't believe in that. I believe that? Yes, there were some some video games that are very violent. However, there are literally millions and millions of people who play those video games and the vast majority of them do not end up as serial killers, So that's not what I'm saying. But what I am saying is that when all you do is play video games, and then all of a sudden, you know you don't have a video game at your disposal. Then all of a sudden, if your little kid, you start freaking out, because you don't know what to do with your time. Let me tell you something. When I was growing up. "I'm happy with it. I. Think it turned out. All right. It was an interesting choice. You know absolutely know I dug the scene it was it was really really cool there's more sci fi talk so stick with. Let's get back now to. Colin. Cunningham. You lost crazy last year, and if nobody wants to listen to this spoiler part here you're GONNA lose lyle this year Brad Kelly's lyles. So that that that was big. A big hit for pope. And certainly even bigger hit for for Colin, Cunningham and Brad, his Brad has become such a dear friend of mine and and you know he was one of the original all he wanted like the original Birkir and and you see him the see him go You know is a real real real tough for me. It was like, Oh, you gotta be kidding you know and So yeah, it was it was tough. Rather a wonderful actor and he's he's he's just he's such a great guy and he just did a great job at the part and I remember really love bouncing off of them because I didn't really have a second man in charge since the beginning you know. So when Brad Kelly's wild came around you know I I was just superstock Y- Y Y and sector both names from the wild bunch yeah. That's right. You're if I'm pretty sure it was Ramey that put that together Remy Albashaun but yes oh, very sad to see him go and Still. Kinda. Irked about it. 'cause he just such a guy I love working with them to fight in the first episode. I believe. He does have this. Falling skies. What I mean if anything everybody from the beginning nobody knew when they were going to get bumped off and get bumped up people die in real life they're gonNa die TV shows to especially today God you know game of thrones and all the rest of it is. Yeah. Lead on on a show look out because I thought you were the first to go not the last anyway. So So yeah. So I'm just hoping to come the day that pope hope dies he goes out on a big. Ball of fire. That'd be pretty awesome. Yeah. I don't think I. Don't think they could skimp on his death if they're gonNA do that. This year about it. Yeah. Apparently, he slipped in the shower somewhere. That's. The thing is though he is. You know his voice though is we would miss that voice that cynicism that you know those off off the cuff comments that he makes you know about the masons everything he it's a necessary part of the show by now and they would really lose something if we if we were to lose pope at this point. So well, I appreciate that but Hawgood things also do come to an end. So a I don't think I'd be slowing anything to say by that. Is Not die. For, all right if If we're blessed enough to do a season five that that I can't guarantee. We'll see what happens I. Think you guys will make it and actually the cool thing is paired with the last ship this year and Michael a series, and I seen the first three episodes and I. I like it I, think it's A. It's your nice book ends for each other and I really like the combination. I think you guys had the rocks reality show last year I think following you and that was or preceding you one of those and I just didn't seem to fit for me but putting another. John Ratio with you guys I think. That's a different kind of invasion and I great cast too. So I'm I think it'll be really cool I think people will will tune in for both. You know the walking does not around so. People that affects. People cool. I'm cross cross our fingers. There's so much talent and so many people working so hard not angie yeah and over at dreamworks and you know. You Know Justin foul the and Daryl and just in Michael Right over TNC. These are these are of course, Noah Wyle. These people that definitely have a passion. Or for for doing their best. For getting things as good as it possibly can be. So as anything I'm just grateful feel off the right you a credit. No very few people go from do one hit series, and then he did a series of hit movies and Librarian, and now as on falling skies I mean that's You know I know he's also involved behind the scenes but at the. That's a it's amazing to get that kind of kind of luck happened to like that. So it's gotta be twice as hard for him to because he's got a balance. Yeah. You know the the actors and their needs with being a lead on TV just as any lead actor would be going to him. He's the captain of this ship but also it's something let's say he disagrees with or somebody's being a little needy or whatever he he has to also balance that out with not telling you to go stick to these producing trying to make sure that every runs well. He's got to deal with not only his own artistic integrity and trying to get the best out of himself and get best out of his cast. He's also GONNA make You know do all sorts of political diplomacy God only knows what the man has to do just in order to keep the bar high just to keep the show running smoothly you know so but he's anytime is a problem every all the actors no is the first person that anybody goes. That's great. What's it's been like for you because this has been, you know you've been on, you've been on all four years now with the show I mean that's That's that's not a bad thing for you. I mean, you're you're getting a lot of exposure as a result of this. Well, I certainly appreciate that I look at the end of the Damn House and and it sounds lame. But I'm just happy to be employed. He'll say money can't buy happiness I say Yeah that. So Nice. This this show I'll tell you money may not make you happy but no, it does make me happy paying my landlord not having to run a run away from my landlord when the rent is due that makes me leary asleep. You able to take my girlfriend out for a Turkey, Sandwich be able to buy my my niece you know of. A kite going plan the park and those things cost a little bit of money and it makes me static. Can do that and health out some some other actor friends of mine that might be short on the rent. That are that are you know I'll I'll pass nine guys on my way to starbucks every morning that that aren't working And I am you know so I can't explain it. So right now I'm riding high on the wave, and then it'll drop down again and one day soon enough Italy who the hell whatever became Colin. Cunningham. and. You'll find me with a headset at Taco Bell and just waited it is a funny business but you know it's the cool thing is you brought all your experience and you know with the riders really helped create this guy you know who he is I I was thinking about it. The other day on the walking dead has their Daryl Dixon. You are the Daryl Dixon of falling skies. That's appropriate. Awesome he's the John. Pope was walking dead. Maybe he is. And it's funny because it's like you know he's he was a guy who is. In the business and really wasn't doing good some high profile things. But this is definitely its own phenomenon eases I. You know he's beside himself a little bit but. It's cool. It's cool. But yeah. But I'm looking forward to it just as if anything the Jenner I just got again that he's been so. Generous every time as a screening or anything they send Pie to my house they send ties to my mom. That's great that like two different pies from my mother. That's. 'cause they're awesome and they're gonNA, apparently since the screening is this Sunday, just ask for where are you because we want to send you something so He's always sending me something. So thank you. You guys are awesome I. Love You got. Yeah. They're doing some cool stuff in the summer and they have some other shows that I watch. That aren't John or that are.

Maybe uniquely situated to be pretty resilient in a time like this you know but but even people like like you and me like it's hard. It's hard for me and I know it's hard for you to you. Know something like the trauma and the unpredictability and just the the deadening constant body blows of Weird News and bad news is just. It's constantly low level to medium level traumatic. You know and it's hard and it really just. It makes me sometimes urine friend who had also I understand in such a compassionate way. The people who are just like throwing their hands up. And you're like I can't take this anymore. I'm sick of it. It's not the right or appropriate response. But I understand it. Fundamentally from the core of my soul But something that I find really does help from you just feel like I'm not alone. You know from other people what their struggles are like how it's hard for them And so I've been trying to be more intentional on know. I know you have to just about sharing lake where we're at when we're having trouble with that. Yeah 'cause like being like the Shiny Happy People who are I got this figured out. It took me a month. I adjusted. I'm fine what's wrong with you? Loser says that. But like sort of the implication when you see someone who's just like posting shiny happy bullshit on their facebook or whatever it's like you're probably struggling man and you're just not being honest about it but it makes me feel less good right. It's almost like a sort of passive shaming excess. That's a great. That's a great phrase. It's like passive shaming. None of us. Has this figured out? None of us has ever been through this before so to project an air of like. Yeah I've got this is is not real and it's not like it's disingenuous and harmful. I would say yeah. Yeah because we're all. We're all struggling our way through. And so you're right. It is helpful. I think to just be real about like you. Know assessing taking there are pretty much. Every state at some level is making moves toward like reopening at various levels. And it's very different in lots of different places but even Washington state which has done an excellent job. I think of Flattening the Kervin and and getting to a place of containment is beginning stages of opening up. And so we're going to have new decisions that we're all going to be confronted with as things do open up like you know today. I I read that. Dentist offices can start opening backup in Washington watching Washington state now and so you know Lake. Well are due for teeth cleaning like. Is it something that feels essential to do that right now? I'm going to go to a situation where cannot wear a mask and have somebody else. Who's wearing at best an end? Ninety five mask which is still only ninety. Five percent effective breathing heavily six inches. No well but here's the thing here's the thing. There's some new who do need dental care. So and even though we're due for cleaning like this is not something like oh well clearly. I'm not GONNA do that. No what the actual thing that's happening is is evaluating. Does that feel safe? I don't know let me check in with myself. Like there's there's not a well of course not that that's that's exact thing that I think that that feels sometimes like implicit shaming to other people who are struggling through those decisions that make sense. Sure so like it's that kind of stuff. We're all going to be confronted with new decisions about what feels right. What feels safe. And what kind of activities require a little bit more risk than others? You know. We're all going to be dealing in. That kind of uncertainty is vulnerable right like. That's the core of it like being uncertain about about how to move forward especially as circumstances. Continue to change around us. It's vulnerable feeling such a fraud environment to right because it's not like if you make a bad choice it'll have mild personal consequences. If you make a bad choice you could kill. Someone's mom yeah exactly but again these. These vulnerable feelings tend to make us want to make statements of certainty. You know so it up because it feels feels otherwise uncomfortable to deal with that right but it's also okay to to sit with the uncertainty to sit with the vulnerability and make a good decision and you know like the make a good decision based on expert advice. Make a good decision based on you know what the level of need is to to to engage in that activity. Yeah right now but it's going to be that it's going to be that exercise that practice over and over and over and Calculus about everything we need to get used to that and we need to give ourselves grace when we get it wrong. We need to give each other grace in the process as well because we're just not all going to get it right every time. It's not true and I think we also need to hold each other to account. Yeah absolutely that can be that can be done in a non punitive non harsh way to you. Know what I mean but like I think it's important if you see someone like who is sort of like in your life Who is screen this up? You know to like if possible like try to provide them with constructive helpful feedback you know in a non threatening way like not an not threaten threatening agency or their ego but you know but figure out a way to communicate with them that you're concerned you're concerned for their health and wellbeing right. You know it's not a control thing. You're not being an asshole. It's just that you don't you love them and you don't want them to die because they've let their guard down right. You know personal. I'M TALKING TO MY STAFF. because Because that conversation I had with my sister. You know it's just a yeah. I'm concerned about my parents going out there and relaxing their guard and and killing themselves. You Know My dad apparently started going grocery shopping. You know whenever he feels like it to three times a week just drift out of the grocery. That's like normal. Yeah it is. And he's you know he's he's wearing a mask and he's wearing gloves and he takes hand sanitizer with them. And he's doing the social distancing the six foot thing like he's being super careful like those are those are things that make it less dangerous the thing that makes it not dangerous staying in your Damn House. Everything else has a much higher level of risk right. And they are a couple of people who are in their seventies in your my dad's six and your mom has pre existing conditions that would make the virus really dangerous damn tinderbox. If she gets US thing it's over. Yeah so let me look at Tornado through a trailer park. You know what I mean. Yeah I'm worried about it. I'm really worried about it. My mom apparently been going out running small errands going to like the paint store or something you know which I mean. She loves. Painting has become this late late in life hobby for she's like repainting their entire house and I love it. I'm so supportive wonderful And she has she gets so much pleasure out of and it's great. It's it's so it's adorable. I love it But you know it's just another place for her to go where someone else's poor decisions might impact or negatively. Because the thing she could be doing the absolute best job wearing her mass. Her mass doesn't protect her romance. Protect other people right well. She pretty surely doesn't have this because you've been in the house until this week. You know for like a couple of months but like what if someone else who was in the paint store five minutes before her. Not Wearing a mask asymmetric carrier breach talking loudly. He coughed sneezed. Whatever there's droplets in the air they hang out for fourteen minutes people. She could walk in five minutes late after the person left the building. Walk Right through a cloud of that stuff and inhale it through the edges of her mask man. You know what I mean and like that's it that's the whole game right there may like it doesn't matter if there's a bed for her in the Er like distinct will take her out and it's not a question of rationing ventilators or something like that. It's a question of interesting. It'll probably destroy her right. And that's a huge worry. You know so. What are you thinking about communicating with them are using? You'RE GONNA take it up with that. It's funny maybe at some point honestly. I don't have bandwidth right now. I was talking to Mr about that earlier today. Like I feel a little bit I tend to feel guilty about this but honestly I just think it's something I need to do. Right now is not take too much on because I also am et reduced capacity and I also am struggling. I also have my own stuff I'm dealing with and we're doing. We're finishing an album and we're doing our damn fundraiser. And also the podcast. There's so much stuff like you and I work constantly. Yeah and I just don't have the time it's fine. I don't have the emotional bandwidth contemplated right now like could spend half an hour and a phone call. Sure if we're GONNA be late and easy breezy but I don't feel an easy breezy about it right now. So my choice. I'm making right now is just punt. Yeah you know it's it's perfectly okay. The oxygen mask versus the phone calls out of their house to you know what I mean. If they call me I'll pick up. Yeah you know at the call right back but my like trying to borrow that trouble right now. Yeah I am not. Yeah and in their case you know Probably the people are putting most at danger by their actions are themselves you know and I mean at the end of the day in any circumstance whether it be protecting one's own health and safety from a deadly virus or taking care of any other you know issue in a in somebody's life. It boils down to that choices to that person makes for themselves. I mean obviously there are ramifications for public health when we make bad choices too so I get that but in their case. I'm what I'm saying. Is they're probably putting just mostly themselves in in in danger by engaging in these activities which has to be super clear for everyone else who's listening like NFL endemic in a situation where there's a virus out there for which there is no current therapy or a vaccine door not just putting yourself at risk by engaging in unsafe behavior. You're putting every single person your community at risk including the people you love. Yeah it's true. Just WanNa throw that out there. It's only ten gentle to what you're saying say it and this. It's really hard though to see just like we. We've you know we've seen friends. Who are you know killing themselves addiction?.

Kevin Maney Talks Unscaled
"Good Morning. Welcome to marketing over coffee. I'm John Wall today. We have Kevin Meinie with us. We have talked all around Kevin. We have talked about play bigger book that he was CO author on and we've had Christopher lockout about that. We've talked with Mike Damn House partner of his who does a lot of category design stuff. Glad to finally have you on the show great to follow my two colleagues now backing us up a little bit. Because we've talked about all these guys. How did you get involved with both Christopher and Mike tell us? Where do you fit in on this? Oh well I'll I'll give you the short version of very long story. There's four authors of play bigger. One of them is L. Ramadan. I'd met L. Twenty five years ago. Probably when he was running a company called Kwaku sports and we became friends and kept in touch all of these years ground. Two thousand fourteen. He by that point in time was doing advising discs to start ups around some of the ideas that we ended up becoming play bigger. They thought they had some interesting takes on the idea that creating categories was the way to create a Big Bang company Chris. L. Dave Peterson at that point. Form together a firm to do this kind of advisory work and they actually invited me to a dinner one night in San Francisco and told me what they were doing. I was a journalist. I was a technology columnist writer for twenty years by that point and I was listening to their approach and their reasoning for why categories such a big deal and it kind of clicked with me in line with other work in the context of things that were going on technology and digital markets. Were changing things and I thought these guys are onto something and they thought well. Let's explore the idea if there's a book there and So we started to down that road together. The four of US meeting out it Chris's Wonderful House in Santa Cruz California. Riding Your bike to the beach in between long conversations and over time. Tease out this idea of category design which didn't exist before we all got together talking about this stuff and then knitted all of the concepts. These things that they had been already doing testing with companies with Other concepts that I brought into the game and that we thought of as we're working and knitted all of these together into a methodology essentially a discipline that we dubbed Category Design which turned into the play bigger. Which has now. We're actually become a major head in the intrepid earl in venture capital community and I as an author journalist. I thought that I'd be doing this book the next one and instead because the movement was so strong and there was demand for what we have written about. Those three guys pull off they pulled me into it and also Mike who've been part of the family of these guys for a long time. It's done work back. Dave Peters said at one point worked for Mike long ago so as this book generated enormous poll for this idea of category designed. It ended up pulling in like can I We formed a sister for category designed advisors. And I've been doing this work for two and a half years or so working with dozens of companies all over the world right and so the big thing that we're wondering today to is. Actually you have another book coming out that covers category designed specifically for the medical industry. Can you tell us more about that? Sure to watch it back to that. Play beer story saying I'm an author journalists. I actually did go onto the next book. Not Thinking that this was going to categories. I was going to be my career. I started working on a book called unscaled that I authored with Hemant Taneja and hemant is the managing director for General Catalyst. One of the most successful PC firms out there so we ended up doing this call scaled which was about how all these new technologies that were inventing almost all at the same time. artificial intelligence and three D. printing in genomics and He's these world changing technologies. And how there are all coming together to allow us to take apart. These Scaled up industries that we built in twentieth century and do the reinventing do them in a new way and there was a chapter in that book about the Health Care Industry and how this scaling process was going to impact healthcare industry so that became out. I don't know maybe you're a half or something like that two years ago and then we got together with a kind of Steve plasco. Who's the CEO of Jefferson Health? One of the bigger healthcare systems in the country basics and Stephen Heymann tonight took that essentially took off from that. Healthcare chip chapter scaled to write A. It's kind of. It's actually more a short bill. We actually call it manifesto about sixty pages long describing how all these new technologies can take apart the old healthcare system which was really based on taking care of people after they were sick. And that's the way healthcare system. The healthcare system makes money is by anchor sick people. And how technology can create a new industry. That's built to keep people healthy and out of sick care and still do that. Profitably at scale in a way that changes. Everybody's lives in a way that we haven't seen in healthcare in a long time and so this. This new book describes this version of healthcare ad or actually putting the book the release of the book on hold because for for maybe a month or two because everything we describe in. The book is about what we're going to what we're about to see happen in healthcare driven by this Corona virus that is going to accelerate what we're talking about in the book and so we finished just before all this it and we're going to have to take another look at adopted to what's about to happen over these next couple of months

Sell Or Stay? Australia's Fire Zone Experiment
"Australia is still recovering from bushfires destroyed. More than two thousand homes. Some of those homes may not be rebuilt. The government of one Australian state has historically offered to purchase empty. Lots where fire has destroyed homes. The goal is to help people moved to safer places but NPR's Rebecca Hersher reports that there was this crucial flaw in how that policy was rolled out. Donna Wilson late to cigarette and pollster truck out of the parking lot at the real estate firm. She manages in King Lake Victoria just bicycle idea from. Hey Ya damn houses. To houses went as in went up in flames on February seventh. Two thousand nine bushfire destroyed a huge chunk of this town. This whole straight pretty much weight. The flames moved so quickly that many people couldn't escape one hundred. Seventy three people died in a matter of hours most of them in and around king leak thousands of homes were destroyed three days later then. Prime Minister Kevin Rudd address the Australian parliament the seventh February. We become each national memory as a day of disaster of death and of morning. Black Saturday as it came to be called was Australia's most devastating modern bushfire event five times more deadly than the country's most recent fires and one of the questions that emerged afterward was whether all the houses that earned should be rebuilt. Maybe it was too dangerous. The solution was to try a set of policies. That would give people a choice. You can either build a new house. That was more fire resistant or sell your land to the government and move somewhere else. Wants land was sold to the government. Home could never be built on it again. It was an experiment. The assumption among policymakers was that the more traumatized a homeowner was by the fires. The more likely they would be to sell and relocate and Donna Wilson says to some extent that was true. It was a a godsend for little king. Lake is a small town. So Wilson knew a lot of the people who are coming into a real estate office after the fires and many of them were really struggling. Everything they owned was gone. Many of them had lost family or neighbors in the fire so selling their land to the government and preventing anyone from living there again was both simple and reassuring national. They couldn't deal with a all. They dislike that idea that no no build on that block. But as the so-called buyback scheme unfolded it became clear that it wasn't working for everyone. A key problem was the detained almost two years for the government to commit to it. And in the meantime people had already decided what to do even people who had nearly died in the fires last onto Kookaburra court. Then you will arrive at your destination on one hundred five degree day in February of this year. Npr producer Meredith. Rizzo and I drove the half hour from King Lake Down to flower gale. A town of about six hundred people surrounded by tree covered ridges. It's almost eleven years to the day since black Saturday. High joke the seventy year old Joe. Millburn takes us into his new living room. Which is right where his old living room used to be. In fact on black Saturday Joe was sitting right here reading when the power went out it was evening and I looked over the to the window between the Kurds and it was a red stripe and before sunset so when the front and the sky was read within an hour his entire neighborhood was on fire. He remembers trying to get to his neighbor's house for help. And I looked up and this is the only time I thought it was not die. The fight was about. It muscle he and his neighbors and their grandchildren piled into two cars and drove through the smoke and flames to an empty field. That had already burned. They watched as the fire devoured. The ridges. Joe's house was gone. His fire insurance policy provided enough to build a new house and he thought that was the only option available to him so less than a year after the fire he went for it outside the building by the time. Now it's going to do. The BUYBACK MISSED OUT AGAIN. Story my life by the time the government was ready to pay people like Joe for their land. He was already living in his new house. I wouldn't build this and in the decade. Since the forest has re grown the fire danger is high. Officials recognized that the delays in rolling out. The buyback offer made it difficult for many people to use it. Craig Lapsley was. Victoria's Fire Services Commissioner after the two thousand nine blazes leaks acution took forever and it was extremely frustrating. Make decisions so what did I do in the end? Most people who lost their homes on Black Saturday did not sell to the government and many people rebuilt houses in places with very high fire risk but Lapsley says he thinks that offering buybacks was a good idea especially when that option was coupled with more stringent building standards. Those are lessons that other parts of Australia and the US are looking to as they grapple with how to help people make safer decisions about where and how to live Rebecca Hersher NPR news.

See there you know. You have to prepare for emergencies. I don't care what kind of emergencies you need to prepare. And it makes a huge huge it makes a world of difference. You know I mean you know Houston flooded you know a while back you know and you you've got hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of guys from Louisiana different parts of Texas coming in there and their boats Holland people out you know and and getting these these people out of these homes and stuff you know well a lot of those people in those homes if they would have prepared they were known how to got now those homes okay by how many people because those floods really rise really quickly okay and they can go to all the way up to the ceiling in your house then they can go all the way up into the attic addicts or your house so okay so now you've plan w knocked your scuttle whole out and you're up in your attic that water still come and you know well you know why why don't don't people go ahead and and make a hatch in their damn roost were they can get out and get on their stinking roast is because they've made choices that other things eggs are more important and they're not preparing for anything and that's where most city people are they are not preparing for anything dying they think peppers or nuts you know they think all these farmers out here a bunch of hillbillies you know 'cause they're not in the city they're not hip you know the you you know they don't understand technology all these things you know former out there knows he knows how to live he knows how to raise at damn food he knows knows how to process at damn hog got out back you know and he knows how to do all that without electricity okay he knows how to build the Damn House without electric and he probably has tools and his born that he can do it with you know and it it you wouldn't call him a proper you'd call him actually he I just had a good common sense okay but actually yeah ee was appropriate because he has been his lifetime knowing that that something can happen and he's test has always been all those years knowing how to process those hogs knowing how to raise those guards. If no one with the chickens higgins are how to you know and that's we're city people or we'll be the problem but how do you prepare that. How do you prepare for the one of the more likely cle- ones is at the nuclear in that whole plant is like the? That's some Hiteki. Most people can't like build up a shelter. That's going to screen them from Nuclear Wasilla. That's that's a difficult one to to prepare for. I would say other than getting somewhere other than digging like going underground. I guess it's you know. And that's the choice. Is You know it doesn't matter if you're prepared or not. Sometimes something of that. Nature takes you out takes you out. You know it's just way the as you know. But but also the United States government created charts years ago showing were if Russia attack the United States all the different areas areas that would be nuked and then it also showed where the wind comes from. And where the wind is going to be taking it and blowing it so there are a lot of places in the United United States. They're very very safe from nuclear fallout because of the wind. Currents I heard you just have to be. I was living in one of those areas. You you know in in Texas and so you know. I was very blessed where I was living because of that so now getting out the city was was obviously something I had to think about because at the time I was in. La You know and this was a phase that you know like I said in the beginning of the show that that was going through for sure. Sure you know I I eventually let go of it because it was a lot to deal with but as a city boy but the whole thing by getting out of the city was all the all the roads and all the all the roads will be blocked. And all the there'd be lots of checkpoints and they'll be let's all this stuff so there's actually the suggestion in that you go somehow go get a uniform in some credentials and this guy in the book. Neil Strauss in the book. He went and got. He took a rescue course. Where you you get like an official badge and you get a uniform basically just to be able to get through checkpoints easily and he? He said that when he went to the rescue school in the city The instructor the school. WHO's some sergeant or some captain captain? Something like this of the police force or firefighters or some kind of rescue force. He said the first thing he said is if something goes devastatingly wrong in the city we are not going to help you. The police are not going to help you. The firefighters are not going to help you. No one is going going to help you so even kind of what we're doing right now. Learning how to rescue in a major situation is it's not really that helpful but it's good. This is for like train wrecks and things like this small small but more contained catastrophes but even the nine eleven. Obviously you know so. That was a huge hit for me so I mean I think that is the the real the real hitting home pointed this is even the rescue workers and the officials you you know. We're heading up these departments. Everyone knows the government is not going to help if everything goes to hell simply because they can't they can't they can't excited that. I want to positive preparation. I wish study my political science more so I could help rebuild the social structure after the after the collapse of still she'll structure to you gotta eat. I Louis you gotta get yet. But I'm just saying after all that comes down you need you need the policy the government like nerds to come in and and and rebuild. Also you need the people that stored all the PINTA. Pinto Bites of porn. Distribute that among the masses that neither porn that had porn like three weeks. That's important too. It's not all just about you. GotTa stay alive but if you don't have any heart if you can't even watch porn then people are going to get disheartened. So that's that's important too as saying so you get people should start storing porn on car drives and Wayne Let's start swinging into thank you lou for that Let's start swinging into kind of the I mean I think we've we've hit the point home that yeah we're kinda screwed. If something happens step step in just a second. Oh sure just guys want a little bunny justice short show. It's your show and and then then I'll go right back but can I send you my email low where you can send me some of that really good porn you. I'm actually I'm actually. I'm actually the worst maxine not the person to help you because I'm all I'm all cloud porn. I'm all cloud porn Wayne. You're not really you're not practicing what you do. Have the preemptive the premium account though on porn hub. So I can. I can store some of the porn but not enough to help era forever. I'm not I'm not I'm not I'm not practicing true. That's right you know all right we're GONNA. I never porn prep episode drives. There's all those old computers too. That are just take come space. Those could be storing porn. I'm saying at least or at least old movie. Entertainment Entertainment. That people need to watch. It's a wonderful life. They need to store out so like people should start storing. Don't worry there's going to be in the world. They had to find a prep who actually has generators or solar or whatever so that they can wash the damn porn and go watch this. Watch this and say that Lewis totally wrong weighing was right like looking like a big ass. Now we're watching after the humanity. You GotTa Mike Leo Jamba for for for for me known the people come and all they have is just the porn. You know then and I've got the electron density you know. I really don't eat them but I will. I would like to have their porn now. That's when you start a bus with policy. Economists nerds are start a barter economy to. That's the first step towards getting a full bank. Would you feel what do I do to make it less hot. Did you just watch my screen. Yeah Man Okay Horn yes. That's a huge part of Doomsday. Prep absolutely I think we all can agree on that Let me ask you. I want to ask I really actually this more my favorite part. Tell me all the things you were doing to get ready to do this. Go and watch my screen green. Look you know. Actually I won't go ahead. Go ahead when you Actually I was making really good money time and so I was able to afford it and So you know I had a building this S. probably every two foot thick rock walls outside inside. You know the only way you get to that building. was you know. There's a couple of bridges you you know and this is way out in the country you know but you know there's all these ranchers out there and they're not gonNa want the city people coming out there trying to get their shit either and so you know these people cause your our own ranches and stuff we got dynamite. You know because you got to blow stuff up every now and then and plus just have fun with diamond and so so you know Israel Israel easy to take those bridges news out you know and then people you know they can't drive in then you know they gotTa Stop Walkout Way. Do as if you need to shoot if you need to shoot him you should you know this. They're they're now they're in your damn territory you know and they don't need to be in your damn territory you know and so so oh you know I started collecting. Ar Fifteen and a lot of your fifteen's Naiad thousand very controversial rounds of two twenty three shells. And so I would probably be considered by the normal snowflake community that I would be a terrorist because I had all this stuff and and so. But you know if you've got the guns and you got the AMMO. So what are you really protecting okay. You're you're not only protecting your life but you also protecting the water. You have and food that Jim have store you know and so much food. How much food did you have stored lasted easy three years? And what do we tell three years. So what how does that look like. How many how many can't have any balked how much like how much physical space is that.

"If you agree with me. Nancy Pelosi is done here when it comes to the state of the union first time in American history. And that her conduct is unbecoming a speaker of the house. And that she's on a power trip. A power trip which undermines our constitutional order where she's coming between us the American people and the president United States whether you voted for him or not. Making it extremely difficult for him to give a state of the union speech to the nation. Then there ought to be an effort a moment by Republicans in the house of Representative. To expel her. To expel her. Even though it will not succeed, given the majority of Democrats. The case needs to be made that fight needs to be taken to her. Enough is enough. I don't give a damn what sour lemon on CNN has to say. I don't give a damn. What Chris bozo on CNN has to say, I don't give a damn what fake tapped out has to say on CNN. Are any of the rest of them? The fact of the matter is that what's taking place. Here has never been done in American history by any other speaker of the house while we've had presidents giving speeches live speeches in the house chamber, the house chamber does not belong to Nancy Pelosi. It does not belong to the democratic leadership. It does not belong to the Democratic Party. That's our damn house of representatives all of ours. Whether it's Barack Obama Bill Clinton. Whether it's Bush Bush or Trump. We have a custom in this country tradition in this country for the last hundred years. Where presidents deliver a state of the union speech in the house of representatives. It's not because Nancy Pelosi has the power to stop him from beginning. A state of the union speech. It's because she controls that chamber. So I am calling on the Republicans. If you have one that's left. What else I gots left? That you act to remove the speaker of the house, even though it will not occur. That you show the American people who stands for what? And you make it abundantly clear that you're doing it on their behalf. Now, you were seeking to protect the constitution of the United States and the ability of president of the United States to do it. Every single president before him over the last hundred years done. I am sick and tired of this conga line. A Democrats this Chris coons this Chris van Holland. Same schmucks? That's right. Day in and day out. They don't think for themselves. They don't think for themselves. It's party first baby. All of a sudden everything they supported fifteen years ago in the border out the window every damn one of them, all of a sudden open borders, all of a sudden, they wall is immoral not partial birth abortion. That's not immoral. A wall said Marl, hey wall that protects the American people walk that protects people south of the border from coyotes from kidnappers from racists, somehow, that's immoral. We don't need lectures about morality from the Democratic Party, the party of slavery. The party of segregation the party, Jim crow. We don't need lectures from that party. And we don't need lectures from Nancy Pelosi who the hell is she? Nobody. That's number one number two. Mitch mcconnell. Wake the hell out for once. You invite the president of the United States. They give his state of the union in the Senate. There is nothing that says the speaker of the house only. Gives the invitation I'm saying something, and I want the backbenchers to repeat it. I know go at your plagiarism, but repeat it. The senators certain vited the supreme court members are invited. The heads of our military branches her invited. The Bassedas are invited. And only if there's room and there won't be then members of the house of representatives. Otherwise, they can turn on their damn TV sets and watch it with everybody else. The Republicans control the Senate now wake the hell up. These are very very treacherous times. You must beat forced with the constitution. Now something else happened today in the Senate. And eleven Republicans voted with Democrats, and these eleven Republicans think they're really doing the right thing. These eleven Republicans have no better idea. What separation of powers means? Then the progressives. Our buddy at rights group. Nearly a dozen Republicans voted with Democrats to stop Trump from lifting Russian sanctions and hear their names. So Chuck Schumer puts up a Bill a resolution rally. There would have prevented the Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin from D listening three companies associated with sanctioned oligarch Oleg Deripaska, not not aware that the president's thinking of doing this. But it's a presidential power. Not congressional power. Foreign policy. A government is decided by the president with the assistance of congress and Turks of authorizations and appropriations. Far policy. Foreign policy. This is a separation of powers issue. We cannot have congress. Telling a president of the United States every time which companies to do this with which individuals to do that with. That's not the intention if there are major decisions by president war. Thank congress can declare war or congress can fund it or not funded. But the president will decide three companies are sanctioned or delisted we had this battle in the Iran contra case with.
