"Is that is the authentic dan campbell. He's not going to bite his tongue. He's gonna he's going to say what's on his mind and play respect that from a player perspective. That's all we want. We want guys to be authentic. And that's what dan campbell is no that no doubt about that. He's one hundred percent authentic. What he said detroit ever much to rebuilding side anything. We think they're going to be a playoff side. But interesting setup. Interesting coaching set-up. As well that dynamism of i guess positively around a franchise that has had a difficult time in recent years. Jared goff is is the player that really stands out for me at the moment because here he is a couple of years of from a super bowl and being one of the the the shining lights in the nfl again. He's a player on to written off. That suddenly gets bounced it out of la into a difficult situation. Where you on gough. Do you think he could surprise people with with a bounce back year. I think it's going to be a little. It's going to be a little rough. You know the detroit lions they you know. They lost like kenny gala. Day right on a free agency to to to the new york giants and this team is clearly. They're kind of in rebuild mode. But the one thing i'll say about jerry golfing and the detroit lions the shorelines gonna build is thing the right way. They got they got a bunch draft picks from that trade with matthew stafford. You saw this for the first pit. They directly kit. Out of oregon. The the officer tackle. They're gonna make sure office and line. It's right they will make sure jerry. Goff is protected. They can run the ball. And i think dan campbell. Simplest thing the right way to more questions for you before we let ego team that is going to surprise a lot of people this season that not enough people are talking about. I'm gonna say. The los angeles chargers the los angeles charges our team. That people should be talking about a lot. More about justin. Herbert had maybe the best rookie season from from From the quarterback position that we've seen they have a bunch of talent. I thought they knocked out apart as far as the drafting for. Abc addressing off the line which will probably the biggest weakness you know going into the off season they did a tremendous job addressing off of the line they have weapons on the outside canaan allen mike williams defensively they got one i think just from a talent perspective they got one best ross's defensively in the national football league their head coach bryan staley coast up the number one defense in the league last year with the los angeles rams so he's bringing that back then they're getting back derwin james this year german james is when he's healthy he's one of the best players in the league period and so i just think the loss rams mean los angeles charges our team that a lot of people should be talking more about love that pick and the flip side the team that you feel is baps over hyped going into the season wow team this over height is.

Texans hire Ravens assistant David Culley as head coach

"Search for head coach appears to be over, but now they may need a new quarterback. The team reportedly is hired Baltimore Ravens offensive assistant David Cully to be their next head coach, But ESPN is now reporting quarterback to Shawn Watson is formally asked to be traded. ESPN analyst Damien Woody says Kali is walking into a bad situation. Can he possibly say at this moment in time to convince the Shawn Watson Hey, won't you stay here? Although only stupid opens and showing his hand to you? There's nothing I can really do so I don't know what he could say to convince him. There's been no official comment so far from either. The Texans nor Watson

NFL players approve new CBA, runs through 2030

"Radio one big measure that allows the NFL to move forward with business as usual is the approval of the new CBA time for straight talk brought to you by straight talk wireless players this weekend voting in favor of the new collective bargaining agreement which means there will be labor peace for the next decade it also means that we will see a seventeen game scheduled as early as twenty twenty one the vote was close closer than many had expected ESPN analyst Damien woody clearly there's a lot of work going on as far as it relates to this new CBA deal you're talking about a difference with two thousand roughly two thousand please holding only fifty votes sixty votes were the difference on what this new CBA passing another narrative was you had the big money players you know saying no and rank and file is going to be it's going to follow through but that wasn't the case that was clearly not the case but it's both clearly there was a lot of racquetball player they did not agree with that with this new CBA also the union has some work to do CDA passes this weekend but as you heard passed by a margin of just sixty votes ESPN front office insider Louis Riddick yeah it's one of the situations where obviously you can you can tell that there's a lot of the desert there's a lot of uncertainty when you have the you know a boat that was separated by less than a hundred boats as far as accepting this new deal not accepting his new deal obviously there were people not just the top one percent of your top five percent with the rank and file as well that we're not comfortable with this you're talking about making deals like this but I understand that was part of the rank and file one point time and understand what our media hundred thousand dollar increase would mean but I you know I also believe that you know there really wasn't a chance of there being a work stoppage in twenty twenty they're gonna play games this year regardless and I think you know having been on the front office side of things and I've been around contract negotiators for the better part of the past two years of my post playing career twenty two years my post playing career when you have leverage you have time on your side the smart ones are the ones who try to lock you into long term deals early and entice you with cash flow immediately because they know they're going to make it back on the on the on the backside they're gonna make out it sounds like that's exactly what the owners got the players to do and I think once you start breaking it down and talking to people who really understand how CBA negotiations once before but the revenue sharing split actually really is and how revenue is going to explode once now owner start negotiating TV deals your movie centered on some one time prior to the two thousand eleven CBA that we were basically net net fifty fifty partners in now we're forty seven percent partners and we're going to forty eight point five percent part how did that were not actually fifty fifty partners anymore when we basically are the capital where the human capital and tried the game and we signed a deal that with the Europe tour early and we didn't have really any reason to do so because they were going to stop us from playing really this year anyway so there's a lot of questions I'm sure and that that right there it looked like it in the wake of both played itself out we really didn't get into this look man I mean I'm I'm I'm happy that he won because football is my life and that's you know I everything I have I owe to playing the game at the highest level inflated manifold the deal making deal making and owners are very good deal making I think they showed once again you're talking about the vote we have a lot of social reaction the Twitter reaction early on on the show in the ravens Marlon Humphrey tweeted that five hundred players didn't vote on the CVA we have the numbers last that's about right what do you say to that that's ridiculous man knocking Buhari's thing it's American will know what happens when you know you get into a situation involved voting and then you just don't even participate but then you're one of the people were complaining about how many things turn out if it doesn't turn out the word benefits you will you have no right to say anything that is one of the most important things outside of obviously what is going on a global basis right now which believe me I've gotten my attention and everyone else is but as far as your profession is concerned what is more important now than a ball players and his cast your vote one way or another educate yourself about how this new CD is going to affect you tell me five hundred plus people dissent I'm either on vacation I don't have time but you know I don't like don't we are you kidding me that's amazing to me that that the medically non participants when it when it comes to a democratic partisan voting there's just no excuse for his non otherwise don't don't say a word please don't say a word whether or not this is good or bad you don't they work if you have no you have no voice anymore you just elect not to participate that's very very disappointed new CDA passing by sixty votes with five hundred members

"Terms of the pieces that we need in order for us to be at the next level and I'm continue to reiterate it we're going to do the best with the guys that we have within our locker room now. It's just something that we signed up for. We knew what we were coming into. The beginning of the season guys are going down left and right for us you know. Gt's Al Dj got her tonight. Wilson's just coming back and have complementary young guys as well have done a great job for last year so collectively so like we have great pieces but obviously that it's pretty glaring that one more piece or two more pieces that will complement myself Katie. DGT'S SPANS Karasin. We'll see kvas one or two more pieces that will complement myself in Katie just inexcusable inexcusable. I'll get to that a little bit later on in the show show can't wait to take your phone calls on that matter but we have some breaking news That we need to address right now as of minutes ago literally minutes ago. Oh as first reported by Yahoo Sports followed up invalidated again by ESPN Carlos Beltran. The new manager for the New York. Mets has been fired. He is no longer the manager of the New York. Mets for those of you who do not know This scandal involving the Houston Astros and they're Signed Ski Stealing Scheme that was exercised during the two thousand seventeen world series and postseason overall. Are they won the world series but they were stealing signs a technological advancement they had equipment placed out in Centerfield field or monitor place near the dugout where they literally could monitor the signs at Catcher was given a pitcher and they were stealing these signs signs are to facilitate better at bats for their hitters. It ultimately delivered a world series to them. We don't know how far far it extended beyond that. Because according to the Commissioner's report nine page report it stopped around September of twenty eighteen or whatever and they ultimately lost in the postseason that year. The Boston Red Sox had one. If you recall Alex Cora the manager for the Boston Red Sox was was the bench coach for the Houston Astros at that particular moment in time at twenty seventeen Winning the world series obviously helped him get jobs manager with the Boston Red Sox where he won the world series using twenty eighteen The Boston Red Sox announced that they mutually agreed to part ways about thirty six hours ago. We all know that was a lie. Alex Cora Gore was fired and obviously would would Carlos Beltran being a manager ultimately he has been dismissed. It's appropriate because if he was dismissed. It's clear that he was involved in the signs stealing scam and and as a manager URA leader and you set a standard that others support as opposed to follow for those of you wondering why players themselves yourselves clearly complicit in all of this because if guys are banging trash cans to indicate to you what pitch is coming next and you're a player and you listen listen to it that means you will fully aware of the scheme you are participant in the scheme and you did nothing to stop the scheme from continuing so they are Bevy of Houston. Astros are guilty of this but according to numerous reports of the Commissioner's Office essentially granted the players immunity in the event that they told the commission. Exactly what was going on. And that's why the players are not being punished list for this and instead the punishment is being exacted against the managers and in Houston case general manager as well. Excuse me cough second as for those who want me to again. Highlight why the managers and not the players. It also is important to point out that in September of twenty seventeen prior to the Astros winning their world series. The Commissioner Rob Manfred Manfred has sent a letter to all the teams front offices manages etc.. Letting them know that they were hearing about about such activity and it needed to cease and desist immediately and if it did not the manager and the general managers would be held accountable. That was his warning to the respective teams. Houston obviously didn't stop got caught. And that's why the manager and general manager or without a job Alex Cora the bench coach in Houston before becoming a manager in Boston so he was a part of back to back. World Absorb Champions Houston and then Boston clearly to cheating tendencies. He's gone and Carlos Beltran if you're the mets while he was a player or are you going to punish him because he's a manager now that's what and what kind of example you setting now if indeed you keep your job. That's clearly the position dishes that the mets are taking. Why must have met take this position? Why could they not sit idly by? Just let things go. You know why because they're in the same cities cities The New York Yankees. That's why New York Yankees just acquired Garrett Cole Off Season The New York Yankees are clear favorites to win a world series. They are the Bronx bombers. They are the standard. The mets are perennial fairweather. Step children to the New York Yankees and with the Yankees expecting to have the season. We're we're all expecting them to have this season. There is no way around the fact that if you are the New York mets you cannot. You cannot have the back pages of every sports section in the city and throughout the baseball community when they talk about you this issue dominating the headlines when you're up against the New York Yankees that's just not going to cut it. That's just not gonna cut it and so it's because of that reality that the mets had had to take this position there is no way around it. It was the right call the make and there's no way to.

Jalen Ramsey: 'Disrespectful' Things, Front Office Led to Jaguars Trade Request

"Strikes jags best the Titans twenty to seven ending a four game skid in the AFC south series in avoiding the franchise's second and restart in four years the rookie QB postgame cabinet cabinet you know is also also experience with these guys and bam bam bam nine tells all getting closer and closer to and the family do it in a home for them has a lot of fun. what do we never thought I'd get this opportunity so now they do have it I got to make the most of it so. we're grateful for it but I know you know. through every have one of my career you know the situation and I may only get one so you got to make the most of it says on trendy now all right so with all eyes on Ramsey who may have played his final game for Jacksonville Menchu the sixth round picks starting his second consecutive game in place of the injured Nick Foles completed twenty of thirty passes two hundred for yours in those two scores chalk up Damien woody as one that is impressed with talk about going to miss a lot of these guys to get into these situations six round pick he's not afraid to swing into the ball in now to get us a big Bob product plan in that in that pack in that water I stay system where he will sling the ball fifty times a game is paying dividends early on in his career certainly is but let's not forget about that Jacksonville defense they sacked Marcus Mariota at nine at times including three by colitis Campbell his coach Doug Marrone eight real strong in the first game they get the Texans you know it's tough he really can't say enough about the consistency of what type of player he is to ten acetate ID has the way he goes about the game you know he's long he's relentless he it's just a great pro and it's it's very difficult to stand up here and you know and saying he had a hell of a move tonight another way that could you know I I never I haven't seen that yeah and back to Ramsey a rip with the Jaguars front office ultimately led to his trade request speaking on the seventeen weeks podcasts he said an upsetting conversation with Jack wars management after Sunday's loss to the Texans was the final push and that led him to seeking a trade earlier this week a source telling ESPN's Josina Anderson that Ramsay expects to be dealt before the Jaguars next game September twenty ninth at Denver Anderson reporting that Kansas city Baltimore Minnesota Oakland Philadelphia and Seattle have made enquiries and almost every team has placed the call so how about when this might get done Adam Schefter earlier on get up Jacksonville is determined to get its. price Jacksonville wants to wants for the guy to I think Jack's was gonna get to ones from old only I don't but I don't think it's gonna be terribly far off and so Jacksonville doesn't feel like it has to move him in told has what it wants and I think that they're not gonna move him into a hole the Jaguars have what they want with that offer comes in this weekend next week all right before the October twenty nine trade deadline will say we will indeed now Ramsey did say some disrespectful things were said on the other end referring to management he did not single out coach Doug Marrone after their disagreement as seen on the sideline in Houston Ramsey was active for Thursday's game against the Titans but might very well be as we mention his

Chargers, Melvin Gordon And Ten Million Dollars discussed on SportsCenter AllNight

"Time Joseon adders are reporting the agent for Chargers running back Melvin Gordon has requested a trade because charges are not backing off their offer of ten million per season which represents a roughly twice the salary schedule to make in the final year of his rookie deal they remain at a record you know not wanting to report because he feels like he's valuation is higher than ten million when you have to put that in the context knowing that Todd Gurley right now is what at fourteen point three lay beyond del thirteen one David Johnson at thirteen million my understanding is that the comp that in being out there right now is that David Johnson and Melvin Gordon are similar in terms of how they should be paid and they are definitely still at a gap between those numbers and so right now he's going to stay out until the situation gets resolved nice of Gordon toll charges that if he does not receive a new deal that's acceptable obviously he'll sit out demanded trade he's followed through on both threats Louis Riddick Damien woody Chris Mortensen with insight on how this plays out in if Gordon has any leverage in this hold out he doesn't have the leverage because the charges obviously feels so his replacements is number two or number three players like Austin Meckler Justin Jackson will give them enough of a of a level of production a percentage of production may not equal what number will give them enough to where they have enough other weapons on the field to make up the difference and they're just going to go with the you know one year at a time type of philosophy and if he doesn't like it then they're gonna trade I think he's out on the football team before the regular season starts and hopefully he can find that one suitor who not only is willing to pay a high price to get him but is also willing to pay him long term which is what he's after after lands a former running back and running back coach and the one thing I know by if the land he's very confident that he can find another running back you mention it already the fact that Philip rivers in the last year for the of Joey Bosa is coming up they have players in the pipeline so to think that Melvin Gordon's going to get you know the levy on bail early heard Todd Gurley absolute because are guaranteed a lot of people looking to toggle the contract and is like wool we don't want any part of that so okay Melvin Gordon is in a situation where he's not gonna get paid by the Los Angeles Chargers and more likely he's going to be sued no with another team actually ten million dollars is the charges off and that's kind of where the value him and they do have other contracts to get done and they're not a cash rich team we've established that for different reasons that without getting into details Melvin Gordon's only played one full season out of a source for any is a good back is he an elite back you can argue one way or the other but the bottom line is the charges are going to get permission for Bilbo is represented to go get a trade they want to control the situation he's not levy on bills he has a contract levy on bill did not have a contract last year so it's not a similar situation ten million dollars is the charges off and that's kind of where the value him and they do have other contracts to get done and they're not a cash rich team we've established that for different reasons that without getting into details but Melvin Gordon's only played one full season of the source for any is a good back is he in the league back you can argue one way or the other but the bottom line is the charges are going to get permission for Bilbo is represented to go get a trade they want to control the situation he's not levy on bills he has a contract levy on bill did not have a contract last year so it's not a similar situation ultimately I think the charges feeling and we talked about this yesterday and make your Damian Moore and and the lens perspective is they do fill like if necessary if gore insanity assigned eventually then you can put them on the market as a team it is the one with the agent do the shopping Eric Williams covers the Chargers for ESPN provided this take on why the charger should find a resolution with Gordon if they have aspirations to make a run in the playoffs he was on Spain and company yeah I mean it's basically a stand off at this point you know Gordon wants to be paid amongst the highest running backs normally he thinks his his statistics over the last couple years point to that he should be pay you know like David Johnson girly let me del the Chargers obviously disagree on that date they are pricey them again according to reports and and I believe they're accurate about ten million per year you mean another structure the contract how much of that is guaranteed how much that is fully guaranteed when he would receive that type of money so those are things that are going on in terms of negotiations to try to get Melvin in the camp I did the things that are promising if both sides want to get a deal done Melvin Gordon wants to play for the charge the Chargers want Melvin Gordon the place so you would think at some point there there would be a compromise that could be made to get Mel in the camp because he remains to be seen you know Melvins representation that told the Chargers that you know that they would demand a trade at the contract demands aren't aren't made the charges are willing to trade him they basically haven't control for the next two to three years due to make five point six million in the following years rookie deal and they get franchise in another couple years no but it is important in terms of where the charge you want to go in the post season they can win games without knowing the crew that last year they want **** when no one was injured the issue is is can they want simple without melon and I think the answer probably is no and so I think that does give me a little bit of leverage yeah well he might want to look Gordon at levy on bell scenario the now jets running back doesn't second guess himself for sitting out last season a decision that cost them fourteen million in salary he did say you wish you could have told fantasy owners some type of way to not draft him or pick him never made it on the field

Latest On Tyreek Hill

"Today. It was announced tyreek. Hill will not be suspended by the N._F._l.. N._F._l.. Hill was accused of assaulting his son. The League launched an investigation and right around ten A._M.. This morning Adam schefter reporting that the lead could not find evidence that he did but the case will remain open. A further evidence emerges of here is the N._F._l.. Statement today with regards to tyree kill the N._F._l.. Said similarly based on the evidence presently available the N._F._l.. CanNot conclude that Mr Hill violated the personal conduct policy accordingly he may attend Kansas City's training camp and participate speeding all club activities he has been it will continue to be subject to conditions set forth by the District Court Commissioner Goodell and the chiefs which include clinical evaluation and therapeutic intervention the chiefs have now weighed in all this as well. Let's get to Kansas City. This is what the chiefs had to say based on the information provided to us by the League. We have decided it is appropriate or Tyrique to return to the team at the start of training camp. The club fully supports that conditions return laid out by the League and we'll continue to monitor any new developments in the case we are glad to welcome back to the team and look or to the start of training camp next week okay so now that we have all that information. Let's get to Adam. Schefter has been following this story closely for mullets now Adam. How did the lead come to this decision Jack? This has been a lengthy investigation from the N._F._l.. which is found itself in the investigation business and during the course of its investigation the N._F._l.? Never could find evidence that that tyreek Hill was basically guilty of essentially assaulting his three year old son as he had been accused of doing. I think the longer the investigation went on the more became apparent to the N._F._l.. And it's is that Tyreek Hill here did not essentially wound his son and was not guilty of some of the things that he had been accused of doing. I think the chiefs organization felt as a whole that tyreek Hill put himself in bad situations but he did not break the arm of his three year old son and in that eleven minute audiotape that many people have heard the sounds of where tyree kill is essentially saying to his then fiancee unique to be scared of me as well using profane language. I think the N._F._l.. Fill in listening to the full eleven minute tape of that sound that in its context that common does standout it does grab your attention. It is deeply deeply disturbing but if the N._F._l.. In its opinion listened to the whole tape and felt that in the context of IT Atari Kill did nothing wrong and this is a league remember Jack that really has gone out of its way to discipline players from everything I'm from smoking marijuana to deflate footballs to anything could and in this particular case a league that has taken a hardline stance on so many different players with so many different issues over the years decided here in one of the most deeply disturbing in cases of all Atari. Kill is not guilty of what he's doing in the League left open the right to go back and discipline them. If further evidence emerges right now Jack Tyreek Hill will be a training camp will be a full participant. Is the full go for the upcoming season ahead. So what do we expect to happen. Next year is at this point done in something further emerges in less something further emerges tyreek hill is in the free and clear at this particular point time as you mentioned kitchen he will be a camp and keep in mind. This is an organization that had banned him from attending off season activities because the organization itself wanted to gather more information as the N._F._l.. Did as well I think both sides came to the conclusion here as as much as it was looking for evidence that he did something it could not prove that can conclusively in this case. I know there's a skeptical public out there with good reason because so many times there are people involved in instance like this that are so deeply disturbing but in this case the N._F._l.. L. Determined that tyreek Hill did nothing wrong at and we appreciate the information we want to get to this too before we get back to you later on in the show as tyreek did respond on twitter. He said the last few months have been very difficult for me. especially as a father of the false allegations originally reported in March were highly highly publicized involved the care of my son. I'm grateful for so many things for so. Many people have supported me during this challenging time I fully respect and accept the N._F._L.'s decision to the N._F._l.. Commissioner Goodell and everyone who assisted in this investigation thank for your time and for conducting a thorough investigation I will not let you down so Damien Woody. What is your reaction first? Let me say that would Li funding Incan inconclusive as far as the assault concern. Everyone deserves the presumption of innocence. There's no question about that. Martha's moving forward is clearly from the audio. He did threat his mother. This child okay combine that with a pattern of tyreek hill in these types of incidences dating back to college and so for me was disturbing is that there's no there's there's nothing no punishment at all in this particular situation compared to Ezekiel Elliott who has six games and I'm lift SCR. I'm left scratching my head as to why can't we be more transparent superior about how they how they got to this point because I'm sitting here and I'm just looking at everything and like I said there's a presumption of innocence that tyreek Hill deserves in this particular case but there are things there are breadcrumbs news a lot this that's been going on along the way that make you think this do doesn't get anything but Ezekiel Elliott get six games so I just want some more transparency from the league and how they got you got to this particular situation because that's a that's a complaint invicta noses. That's a complaint no only from the players but I think the fans themselves in regards to how the League administers disciplined on the topic of transparency the problem is Adams said the League in the investigation business that that's the problem the N._F._l.. Doesn't have subpoena power doesn't have the power to compel witness testimony so the to the extent to which it can even conduct one of these investigations is limited and any evidence in fines with the to help law enforcement. It may not be able to reveal to the public because that may be it may be confidential. It may be something law. Enforcement didn't want them to share so there are all kinds of reasons that transparency is not going to happen in situations like this especially when it comes to a case involving the welfare of a child those those matters are even more closely guarded but the issue is why is the League doing these investigations in the first place and is it right for them to do it or should they let the legal system take care of it. The one thing is there's no more criminal case pending against against tyreek Hill Adam said unless something further emerges in terms of evidence what's going on. There's a hearing proceeding in Kansas called a child in need of care proceeding not a criminal proceeding but it's to determine what's best for the welfare for the child. If something were to come out of that the league were defined out a detail that supported the idea that he broke the personal conduct policy required discipline. They're reserving the right to go back into this and say okay we found some of that but to this point versus versus Ezekiel Elliott. They felt like they had evidence there whatever anybody wants to say they felt like they had evidence there. They felt on this case that they didn't have evidence that that was sufficient to warrant a violation of the personal conduct policy. That's the only part that kind of <hes> you know that I have questions questions about as a as a player if I was a play what's the barometer like what what makes one incident more severe than the other. What how are you gauging this as a front office or as as the N._F._l.? As they go and conduct these investigations how do you decide which one is more severe than the other. How are you justifying a six game suspension for Ezekiel and zero game suspension for tyreek Hill when they both essentially were in? You know the news for something <hes> putting the N._F._l.. Putting the shield in a bad bad light so I just that's the big thing for me as a player or you know being having been a player in that locker room is how are you gauging this N._f._l.. How are you going about this business? Engaging one against the and that's the thing it's case by case. They're not using past cases to to inform current ones but the problem is it's case by case but each case doesn't come with an equivalent amount of supporting evidence or information they might have had more cooperation from people on Ezekiel Elliott. They might have been able to find more information than they did on tyreek. Or vice versa you know so that's the problem with this. You can't equate one situation or another because behind the scenes when they're doing these investigations so much rests on what they can get and very often. It's very little if the hell out of the business. It really all comes down to listen if you're the N._F._l.. I think what's more important the N._F._l.. Needs to take this whole this whole piece of the Pie and outsource it somewhere else okay because clearly we're going WANNA keep asking these questions again because this is gonna come up again with another player. We're going to have the same type of questions again and again so if I'm the N._F._l.. Outsource that somewhere else and just get back to what you do really well which is marketing putting on a good product for aw fan and let the legal system take care of it and let them dean whatever they want to deem is the proper punishment for for whatever the crime is and we'll go from there far less important. I think we all understand that but the reality tyreek hill is going to be playing football continue continue so we all gotta understand understand that. What does he change for Kansas City? I mean obviously a talented player or else. We wouldn't be talking about this like this. It's huge. I mean obviously a guy coming over fourteen hundred yard plus <hes> receiving season twelve touchdowns I mean a huge weapon of for Mahomes and in from home just going to have that fifty touchdown caliber type of season that we all know he can have obviously coming coming off of fifty touchdown season he's going to need tyreek hill and he's going to to play at a high level and having him back having them there for training camp and not missing missing a substantial amount of games or whatever the case may be is huge for that team to continue to build and continue to go through the things that they want to go through in order to get to that pinnacle and that's the Super Bowl. You'll wanna tell you what it means. He has something that you can't teach speed. I don't know how you convict we. We all talk you ask players as teams. He might be the one player that scares teams the most out of any offensive player in the league because he has something that quite frankly you just I don't know if there's any other player that can really touch him as far as his speed and explosiveness and it scares teams to death so bring him back into the mix for the cancer genes put some right back in the fool to try to represent the A._F._C. so we will be back to hill with Adam schefter later in the show but thirty one other teams was super bowl dreams as well. We're getting all the day we're GONNA hit every training camp

"You know, I I would like to see that happen. Now you wake up the next morning, then you put on the radio, and you watch a little television. And you have all you know, you hear these sportscasters talk about well, you know, the saints CNO they had their chance they should have scored a touchdown. You know early in the. I corps. They could have put the Rams away. Don't these people understand that there's another team that they're up against that. The other team is trying to keep the saints out of the end zone. I mean, it's ridiculous for anyone to say such a thing that the saints had their chances the saints were robbed. They were rob. They were robbed yesterday on a no call. But they would things that they did to hurt themselves as well. Michael Thomas was under lock and key. They could it run the ball affectively. Sean Payton could have made better decisions coaching yesterday. Drew Brees could have had a better game. Let's not take complete credit away from the Los Angeles Rams who played their tails off. Wade will Wade Phillips had a tremendous game plan. Keep to leave have Michael Thomas on lockdown, Marcus Peters showed up determining to make amends for what happened to him during the regular season in Dahmer consuming Aaron Donald and those boys played big Fowler. A key. We'll forgetting the fact that in overtime. It was followed that caused that intercepts. By getting a hold of drew Brees on, you know, you know, interrupt and his pass which ultimately was intercepted. The Rams did a lot to win this game as well. Let's show the Los Angeles Rams the respect that they deserve. I do believe that the saints were robbed because that game should have been over in regulation. But it's something to be said about the Rams to come into the very confines you described, sir. And a make that a game and the fourth New Orleans in a situation where they would need a right call body officials in order to win in such hostile confines. And then to get it done and over time. And how about the kick zero align with two big Tom kings, one end regulation, one near the end the regulation, rather and one in overtime to win it. There's a lot that the Rams did good to earn his victory, and let's not disrespect them. That's all I'm saying. There's no question. I totally agree with you. I was saying wait. I have something else. Are we up, sir? I'm running out of time. Wait, the Anthony Davis. You know, NBA NBA television of viewership is up, you know, it's Jerry king records, and it's good. You know, but let me tell you how many times I have heard on the radio that, you know, we're going to get what day we don't know, Jerry. We don't know. We know he wants to go. It would have to be traded. But call me on another day when we're talking basketball, and I'm happy to put you on and talk extensively about this particular subject. But not right now, I'm talking about the AFC NFC championship game. And I gotta go 'cause running out of time. I appreciate the call. Thank you..

"So what is way Phillips wanna do? But typically in game. Okay. It's one thing to be prepared going up to the gay. But where the game is going to be one is a chess match in the game between Wade Phillips and Josh mcdaniels and Bill Bella check and so on and so forth. So that's what that's what I'm going to be looking for is the Ingraham adjustments during the Super Bowl. Josh, Dan, get an edge. I mean, when you consider the young minds coaches that are being hired right? When you consider all of that, you combine that with fact that way Phillips old school, you know, been around longtime, or what have you might be beyond this pry, but still knows obviously he's gotten more football than most of us know of. But the Rams defense wasn't really anything that brag about excessively before these playoffs began. So I'm wondering who you give an edge to. From the coordinator spot. It seems like it could very well come down to wait Phillips against document Dame's. Listen, absolutely. I want to give you know. I'm going to give you another matchup that I'm looking forward to the patriots office wine, which no one seems to talk about and they just they just been fabulous fabulous all year in particular in the playoff going up against that Rams front because you got Aaron Donald and then dumber consumer and Steve name. What do we always say about Tom Brady and in any quarterback, basically king? You get pressure up the middle. Those guys do not do not like pressure the middle. So that battle between the patriots off Zion. Particularly the inter you're part of the office line going up against Aaron Donald shoes. Shoe? That's to me. I think that's where the game is gonna be one a loss. Then would appreciate your, bro. Looking forward to talking to you in the days leading up Super Bowl, fifty three. Thanks a lot buddy. We'll talk so. Yeah. No problem. All right. Then right here with Steven ESPN radio..

"And he has maybe there's some of that can be due to age, and you know, other factors that may be going on. But drew Brees is earned the right to to play as long as he as long as he can. I mean, this is a guy that you know, has broken numerous records in in the National Football League who had an outstanding here this year. So listen he didn't play. I don't think he plays well down the stretch. But by no means to drew Brees hanging up come back. Again. I want to see drew breeze out there playing more because the National Football League is better. When a guy drew Brees is out there swinging the ball Oreo who's the MVP in this game from the ram side of the football years to Mason. Wow. The MVP of the foot Rams for the Rams for the Rams on you know, just based off yesterday's game. Who is your MVP for them yesterday? Men it might have been in Dhamma consume in Dhamma consume. I thought he played a heck of a game yesterday. Play the heck of get and Steve Nate, we've been we've been saying all I take where's in Dhamma consume bid most of the season, but it but the past couple of weeks, this guy has shown up this guy has shown a big time. And I thought he had a big time game against New Orleans Saints really shutting down that New Orleans Saints to headed rushing attack and making the New Orleans Saints one dimensional and also in the game. What you saw album Camaro was coming out of backfill eating up the New Orleans Saints coverage, and you saw Dhammika sue out there shipping on Alvin Kamara which to me was was a critical adjustment that that the defense may for the Los Angeles Rams. So I thought played great yesterday. What about a keep to lebeau? Michael, tom. I thought he played great as well. Listen, I when you playing defense, sometimes you gotta. Sacrifice per your personal stats for the greater good of the whole defense. And I thought you know, what I saw yesterday was guys sacrificing their traditional roles in order to better. The the defense the whole I knew that the Los Angeles Rams are gonna play better this time around because now you have to keep to lead and guys and starting to play more into the roles that they were that they were slotted to play before. So a key delete a key to leave shutting down, Michael Thomas. And and and the way they made their judgments for Alba Camaro to me, those are critical things that helped Los Angeles Rams when they gang anybody right here with Steven ESPN radio ESPN news, all of that being said, we've got the Los Angeles Rams going up against the New England Patriots as of right now. And you reserve the right to change your mind. But as of right now, how you view in Super Bowl fifty three in Atlanta two weeks. I'm going with the New England Patriots is is to me is is. Is I don't know. It's hard to go against the pages man because I look at it as experience when you got the great coach Bill check and Tom Brady who's been in this thing. Nine times nine times he's been in the Super Bowl, and they all the wealth of experience. And and everything that comes with it, and the preparation and all the little things that take the win a football game. Like this. I'm going to take their experience and all the things that they've done to this point to go up against the upstart team. That's what very well coaches with Sean McVeigh and Jerry golf at quarterback. But I wanna give the acid New England Patriots to win Super Bowl for the third. Would that being said, though, what about the notion that a team to leave if I remember correctly? He was a cornerback on the Denver Broncos when they knocked off Tom Brady New England Patriots in the AFC championship game. A few years back having somebody in the secondary experienced in going up against Tom Brady. How does that factor into your decision making in any way? Well, I think it's all about what is how does way how does way deeper the coordinated way Philip deploy a key to leave in those guys in the secondary. Because you know, New England with. Two two weeks a preparation they're gonna be they're gonna move guys around and put guys in advantageous situation..

"Does this validate is think about what you say about Bella check out? Great e is as coaches. Well, does this validate Robert Kraft reportedly intervening shunning Bill Belichick suggestion in regards to Jimmy Garoppolo and certainly just implementing the new era and holding on the Tom Brady and being willing to let go of Jimmy Garoppolo in favor of Tom Brady. Does this validate Robert Kraft choice a sticking with his guy? Looking last year with Tom Brady won MVP last year? When one MVP last year, you'll get this year the back in the Super Bowl again. So you tell me does that validate everything I mean, this is the third straight year that the patriots are going to the Super Bowl. And when you this the young man's game. Tom Brady is forty one years old and still you have to look at him as a top five quarterback international football league. Forget all the the stats that people want to throw out to you in the in the most pressure personalized situation. What quarterback do you want more in the pressurized situation? No other quarterback Tom Brady. I can tell you that as we sit here Damien Woody. And we talk about the New England Patriots. We have to transition to the team that they beat yesterday. And that was the Kansas City Chiefs. How we the look at Andy Reid today. Andy Reid is a damn good coach. Andy Reid is. Knocked on a door several occasions throughout his career went to like five NFC championship games when he was with the Philadelphia Eagles one Super Bowl appearance. He in Kansas City. He was in the AFC championship game came up short yet. Again. This is his twentieth year coaching in the National Football League. What do you say about any? This was his year. Those was his year. You do all this work in the regular season. You get home field advantage. The number one see throughout the playoffs. You have this young exciting MVP quarterback and Patrick Mahomes. You have Tari kill Travis Kelsey Sammy Watkins, Damian, would you? You have all of these everything is lined up for you to go to Super Bowl, and you don't get it done. And we've seen the script from Andy. And I'm not knocking into rita's the coast because I think Andy Reid is a terrific coats. Why think Andy Reid, I think I think of along the lines of mardi Sidon alma mater, steinheim was a great a great coaches. Well, just came up short in the postseason, and I just felt like this was the year for him to get to the Super Bowl and ultimately win. It ultimately came up short is it then I'll. Who else which back to New England in this sense? Your defensive coordinator on the New England Patriots because we rave about about a Bill Belichick all the time as the head coach but Bryant Bryant floors who's perceived who's believed to be the next head coach for the Miami Dolphins. They're ready hiring assistance for crying out loud. No doubt. He has everything to do with that. What do you make of the job that he did yesterday? How much credit do you give to him compared to Bill Belichick? Well, listen to build, you know, Bill coaches, his coaches, disliking coaches up his players in Brian floors have been a guy that's been he no. He's been schooled in a lot of different areas within their organization and lets you gotta give them a lot of credit that game plan that they had against the New England Patriots yet the Bill have input on it. Absolutely. But I'm not taking anything away from Bryant floors who's been in that system for a long time understands the defense understands that it takes that it takes all loving guys to make the whole thing. Going divas aside, the football the way they were able to take away time. Sorry, kill Travis. Kelsey the way they were able to pressure pet Mahomes think about the pressure that Mojo's head throughout the whole game. He was literally running for his life in that game. So you gotta get major prosper blah on Brian floors for the for the defense the game plan. Let's transition to the NFC back to the saints in obviously, the Los Angeles Rams. We saw a lot going on yesterday on both sides of the ball..

"Everyone knows that Terry Hill has Olympic type speed in. And that's one thing you can't coach you can't coach speed. But the one thing we we also know from coach ability check is he likes to make you play left handed. He he's going to take away the things that you do will the things that you're most comfortable with. And when you look at the Kansas City Chiefs office who are the main targets Travis, Kelsey and tyreek hill. Oh, and he made he, you know, he basically X them out of the game and made and made the Kansas City Chiefs, go go other places, but that to me speaks to the brilliance and just the star power, Pat, Mahomes, even with the Pacers design the differences on to take away. Those guys they still score thirty one points still had the opportunity to win the game. Just shows you that this patch Mahomes kid, he this guy. He's going to win multiple championships in relief. What's the biggest reason? The New England Patriots won this game your estimate Damian. Stephen A. Everything comes down to everything comes down the situation. Third down. Just look at third downs in his game. How many times do we see the patriots in critical third down situations? Whether it be third, and, you know, short thirty medium, especially third and law, and they were able to convert time and time again that's demoralizing for defense when you able to shut them down first and second down, you get them to third nine third and ten and it's still able to convert to me, that's the tell that will kill the game naming we converted. No most critical third down. Amy. I'm looking at it over, Tom alone. Third and ten thirty five Brady cost the middle. Adamant twenty yards third and ten Casey forty five Brady over the middle. Adamant fifty yards third and ten a minute. You know, eleven fifty seven third Brady short left. Rob gronkowski fifteen yards. Three third. Ten situations. He converted you've seen Tom Brady. You got two Super Bowl rings with Tom Brady when you look at the New England Patriots right now. And you look at Tom Brady. What do you see at this stage in point in his career because there were people who lamented what they were seeing from Tom Brady and was wondering whether or not the end was here. What do you see right now? As we stand here today. A stone cold killer. Stone cold killer this guy, he's the most feared player in the league. Because Stephen when when when Tom Brady gets those gets gets the ball back in those particular situations. I guarantee you most of America's thinking here, they go again, we've seen this familiar script from Tom Brady into New England Patriots and it unfolds that way because they are. So prepared Tom Brady has been there. He's done that. He's seen everything that you could possibly throw in him. He just execute in. The most pressure situations that you could possibly put on a player. How many guys I mean, we talk about the Aaron Rodgers. And and the drew Brees. But how many guys really come through in the clutch like Tom Brady? Nobody nobody Stephen does this. Now why that's why that's why that speaks to his greatness..

"Family to champion of with the New England Patriots, former New York jet as well the one and only Damien Woody is on the line with yours truly right now. What's going on me? How are you? Matt. How's everything? I'm good. I'm good, man. How're you doing? All right. You. Watched New England win. You watched. The Rams went in New Orleans. New England winning Kansas City. What was the most impressive to you? See may being in those hostile environments, man. It's now it's not easy to win those type of games. There's a reason why most of the time you see the home team advanced needs particular situations, the conditions that you gotta deal with the noise the communication that. Both these teams we saw Jerry golf how he was struggling this really down in the Superdome. They were down thirteen nothing. I'm and I'm sitting there thinking, oh, boy they bought to get blown out but his ability to come to calm himself and calm down that offense and get things on track. You gotta give a lot of credits. Jerry Gulf a young quarterback in this league. That's you know, probably haven't been in the hostile environment like that. So just the fact of dealing with those conditions, man. People don't understand how hard it is. Yeah. But I'm asking you. I appreciate all of that. And you're right on on point. But considering both hostile confines into Orleans hostile continental our stadium in Kansas City, the conditions and everything else that came with it. What did you find more impressive? New England's victory or or the Rams. I'm gonna I'm gonna say New England. I wanna say New England. I know that Tom Brady is a five time SuperBowl champion, and you have gone onto his knife Super Bowl and in eighteen years, which is which is just unreal. But man, this this this patch Mahomes kid is is things. Unlike anything we've seen. He is unreal. Their offense of the Kansas City Chiefs. They can literally score will and to watch how the patriots just put together a game plan that methodically Kip. Patch Mahomes on the sideline I thought it was it was just it was a masterful job. Coach Belichick is opposite to me the greatest coach in NFL history and his ability to try to take away some of the things that you like to do and Tom Brady come down the stretch and late in the fourth quarter overtime. It doesn't get any better than that. Stephen is you know, it's doesn't. Get any better Damian because you've got people don't talk about Sony. Michelle you had one hundred thirteen yards rushing average nearly four yards. A carry you talk about animal men, and and, you know, his third Mr. third-down, that's what you want to call it for crying out loud, seemingly every important pass that needed to be called e court a law gronkowski as well. We're really really stood out in my mind was Bill Belichick holding tyreek hill to one catch albeit for forty two yards. One catch on the entire afternoon. I never ever ever in. My wildest dreams would have predicted. That would happen, man. We'll listen.

Kill we agree. Clips and played the best game in Cowboys stadium. This year. Clemson. Clemson Clem a me yet. And what's your point? I mean as a Cowboys fan that was the best game. I've seen all year in cowboy stating. Well, listen, it depends on how you look at it. Clemson wasn't playing against NFL competition they were playing against a Q NFL caliber players but not against an NFL team. All right. That's college. We talk him pros. And the reality is that the Cowboys got to go against somebody. And I personally believe that the Cowboys beaten up the New Orleans Saints on Thursday night. Football was spectacular performance by the team. Oh, yeah. I think breezes going I think going to I think raises don't come down to come down in him Brady. And we'll see I think we'll see I think Mahomes sent to say about that, bro. I really really do. I really do. Honestly, I was hoping I was hoping to see Houston against. What having statement? Now chief's fan and the patriots or three thirteen in one all time at Arrowhead. They got that going for him. It wasn't going. My only my only concerns the is. This is Andy Reid gonna revert back to being conservative when you know what hits the fan or now that he has Mahomes open up the entire is he gonna open up the entire playbook. Let me sound you. They haven't been to the super that may stop. Let me stop you. I will say this. The Andy re that I'm seeing what Mahomes is unlike any Andy Reid I've ever seen. He lets this brother go because he seems to know he has one spectacular talent at his disposal. I think that's what's going on here. I just don't see how New England is Bella check isn't going to be able to take away just one guy 'cause New England will get murdered another areas. They've already proven they can hang with New England toe point for point. It's just it. Kansas City defense plays this coming week like this last week. Then I see Kansas City winning. Say that say that stop stop stop. Of course, if they play defense like that the question is can they against Brady and the crew 'cause this is indie we were talking about they did that to Saturday New England's the different animal come postseason time and the discussion edited say ESPN, it's inundate seven to nine three seven seven six. All right. Does what I say. That's just that's just me. All right. Let me ask you another question. Real quick. Go ahead, man. What what what what do you think our chances are realistic? Monthly realistically based on what I saw yesterday fifty fifty now I don't believe for one second Andy Reid and Bob certain we'll be as transparent as the charges will with their defense. But Kansas City has have problems defensively all year long in the last time they face New England Brady dropped forty three on them. So I would I would. I mean, if gronk is going to be healthy running overdue if James Weiss go be able to catch passes out of the backfield. If Julian elements gonna look like a stud away yesterday. I'm sorry. I give the patriots a fifty fifty shot. It's a pickup game. It's a pickup game. Because there's no way in hell that New England defense is gonna shut out Patrick Mahomes than those boys. Not retiree kill out there. They they shut out Kansas City like that the way that they beat up on the charges. That's not happening. I promise you that. Well, I believe we can make a one dimensional though because they're running game anus. I right this, right. This right there. Okay. So you turn them into a passing team. He's your problem. "I think it's going to be a different ball game on I take I pointed out one plan particular, Sheldon rank defensive tackle for the New Orleans Saints. That's gonna be a huge loss a huge loss for the New Orleans Saints on defense is in particular up the middle. We saw with the Rams into the Cowboys. Cowboys had one of the best defense in the league. And they just bullied them all over the field. And I think coming in this game randomly looking to do the same thing. Run. The run the football with Todd Gurley and CJ and C J Anderson down this newest things throat, it's going to be that physical type of attack that you're going to see some Rams, and obviously they're gonna they're gonna play accident and and have Jerry golf make plays down the field. But it's gonna be that Russia that that thing is going to give New Orleans Saints problem. I'm not gonna ask you wanna between Kansas City in New England. 'cause we all know you're gonna pick New England. That's just what you do. Okay. That's as a former two-time champion with the patriots. But what are you trying to call me a home? Something something like that. What about what about the saints Durant who you're gonna win? I'm going with the Rams going with the Rams upset on the road. I got I got the Rams on the road. Real quick. You also played with the New York Jets. Adam gates press conference in New York today going on right now. How do you feel about him as the new head coach of the New York Jets to form a government will listen, you got a lot of you know, bigtime background and offense. He's worked with a lot of different quarterbacks different style of quarterbacks. You know, may you know, made them successful, which is good. My only moment issue is you know, we've seen this. We seen the script before we see Rex get Fargo hard again. Then work we see Eric Mangini get fired hard right right off the bat didn't work. So what's to say that this is gonna work? We'll see, but they got a lot of work to do in Florida. Parts of Bill that roster backup. Appreciate your big. Boy. Thanks a lot, man. I'll talk to you soon. Yeah. No problem at all, right? "I mean, most people including myself with saying that the Indianapolis Colts over front was one of the best units in the National Football League. Those guys were playing outstanding coming into the game. But you gotta give credit to Chris Jones. Justin, Houston, d four those Boers 'cause they were getting after the Indianapolis Colts offers line they weren't able to run the ball. And they were getting pressure on Andrew luck. Just completely throwing all that that officer scheme that the that the Indianapolis Colts not want so credited a defense man defense got after how much credit do you give? Inclement weather, particularly when it detrimentally affected a dome team like the Indianapolis Colts how much credence do you? Give to that argument. I don't give I don't get much creep because the ended up was called coats. They're built for all weather. They they're officer line. They're all there. They can go play anywhere anytime the way that they're built right now. And so that's why I give the Kansas City Chiefs on the credit in the world, especially defensively because come into the game. You know is I don't know Stephen aid that one of the things that we talked about was that she's defense. I mean, we there this has been historically bad. And that was one of the question was coming into the game was would they be able to hold up against Indianapolis Colts opens a line and to see them go out there and perform the way they performed gotta give them all the pets in the world. They Woody right here with Steven ESPN radio. ESPN news NFL analysts in the house with yours truly now that that's all being said, we've got the Kansas City Chiefs going up against the New England Patriots handicap that game from me. What will you be looking for? Wow. What listen being that? I'm a form of you know, I play with the New England page before I know how they operate. They try to make you play. And they're going to look to try to take away something, you know, something that the Kansas City Chiefs that they do well, whether it be taking players away like tyreek hill Travis Kelsey or take certain scheme where the kids choose like to do on the flip side, you know, be interested in seeing New England Patriots day just morph into a lot of different things. But we've seen them lately they like to pound you run and run the football like rounding pal. I wanna see how the cancer that. She's hold up against that that Russian attack that during the H gonna bring the Iran stadium with that being said, I think that patch a home the difference gonna be patching holes. Patrick Mahomes is just different is special. I don't know if we've seen a ten like him in quarterback. In a long long time. He is that good of a player and with all the players or the Kansas City. Chiefs have on offense. You can't take all of them away. They have tyreek hill they have Travis Kelsey SME walking's, they had Damian Williams can't take everyone of them away. And you know, that pet Mahomes gonna find somebody. They mean what he right here? Let's get to the NFC before I let you get on outta here. New Orleans versus the Rams the Rams don't have Kupa Cup. But Todd Gurley is healthy. C J Anderson is dead Jared Goff and those boys have to return to the Superdome in there wasn't a dominant sue citing who played lights out Saturday night in the playoffs because the Dallas Cowboys where you at with all of this. "Put a great number put all the same numbers. But it's never been able to to you know, kick through the door and and playing the Super Bowl, and it's unfortunate because to me this was his best opportunity. This was this is this might have been his most well-rounded team since he says he's coming to the National Football League. This Los Angeles chargers team, really really gonna both sides of the ball, and unfortunate because coaches went able to Jess and do the things defensively to kennel with the pace was doing too little rivers now sitting at home, which is unfortunate because he really had a great season this year. And I'm looking at Gus Bradley's resume four year. Head coach, Jack. Jacksonville. His record was fourteen in forty eight. His best season was a five and eleven in Jacksonville in twenty fifteen prior to that four years as a defensive coordinator under Pete Carroll in Seattle his last year twenty twelve he had the number one ranked defense in points allowed number four in yards allowed. And then after that he becomes the head coaching Jacksonville that spoke for over the last two years. He's with the chargers. Okay. They were number. What is it? Number three last year this season that eighth in terms of points allowed. But I just don't know what to say about Gus rally right now in light of what I just saw having said all of that. Let me transition. My surprise my disappointment of the weekend Damian was charges. My shock of the weekend. My surprised at the weekend was the Kansas City Chiefs beating Indianapolis the way that they did to for any to be playing the way that it's been playing and then go down and Kansas City seventeen enough. Before they had a chance to pass gas was shocking to me. What did you make what you saw from that game? Particularly the beginning when Kansas City jumped all over them and went out to a seventeen and nothing lead. Yeah. Listen, I think that the most surprising thing was ways the cancer is chiefs that defense play be defense. They literally would the ended up Costa officer line which come into the game..

"And that's that's those traits that you need at the quarterback position in the National Football League. Then Woody right here with Steven ESPN radio. ESPN news. Let's transition to the AFC based on what you just said. Do we see greatness from Tom Brady yesterday? Or did we just see inefficiency and ineptness from the part of the Los Angeles chargers in light of the beatdown that they suffered at the hands of the New England Patriots yesterday. Or if you I think you saw both listen, I I was that charges game playing was distressed. I mean, let's you talking about once you saw that the patriots got up fourteen seven clearly you knew you had to you know, you had to readjust your game playing defensively they weren't touching receivers. They weren't rerun the receivers they weren't getting any personal Tom Brady. They were just giving Tom Brady all the answers to the test before the play was even snapped. And if you're gonna do that with Tom Brady, good luck. It's not gonna happen. Now. Listen, you don't throw for three hundred yards by luck. That's still the greatness of Tom Brady and being able to distribute a football eat, and rob gronkowski only have one. Catch. So listen, it people want to sit here and talk about, you know, Tom Brady, and quote, unquote, his demise. But last month check, this dude is still still playing at a super high level wanted to talk quarterbacks that National Football League. Yeah. I I listen he's looked he looked absolutely spectacular yesterday. But I want to piggyback off of that and get into this to Los Angeles charges a little bit more. It makes no sense to me that you had seventy Bs that you've been advertising it and telling the world, that's what we do. And you go ahead and do just that when you're going up against a Bill Belichick team that seemed to have made no sense whatsoever. We even got callers like call the Tampa for crying out loud talking about how you know James white should have been spied or you should've key on them. You should have doubled. Jillian Ataman Accenture. We saw none of that from the charges. How do we explain it? Or think some of these coaches Stephen in the league, man, they run what they wanted. What about that? Is they have a certain system, and they want to do what they wanna do which is to me. It's just ridiculous. You always have to have a judgments because game of football is is like chess. You gotta you gotta be able to make adjustments of the game. And what we saw from from from the charges 'cause Bradley deeper the coordinated comes from that Pete Carroll lineage, they're gonna run one style a defense and that and that's it. And clearly the patriots expose it, and they weren't able to adjust a just do it. And that's why they're there sit down with us. If you're a guy like Philip rivers who's been in this league for so many years, right, and you're knocking on the door starving for an opportunity to capture championship that kind of thing. Right. And then you watch your defense your head coach sign off on a defensive scheme that was clearly so inept, how are you? Left feeling on daylight today in how does that affect your future aspirations to play this game of football? I feel bad for Philip rivers. I mean, listen, we're Philip verb is going to be talked about in the in the vein of Dan Marino, Dan, Fouts great player..

"He was Stephen and ESPN radio and ESPN news was Daming. How will you meant? Daming? Can you hear me? I gotcha. There you go. There you go. I as I do you like McAvoy? I mean, it's quite nice. Cowboy had a main. I mean, how do I mean it really is a nice hat. What did you say? What did you say it's entirely apropos based on what you saw transpired to the Cowboys Saturday night. You know, what I picked the Cowboys along with you. I might add. No, I did not who were like I I get seven percent chance to win yet. But I still pick a gets them because they wanna Cowboys which means that seventy five percent. They would find a way to lose. That was my go ahead. Yeah. Listen, I'm kicking myself because I'm like here. It is. I'm putting my faith in the Cowboys. And they let me Dale. They let me down man I'm going into the game thinking, okay, the Cowboys front both on both lines offers deep is one of they're gonna come through. They're gonna get after Jerry golf and those boys. Just ran rush out all over the Cowboys deepest. I'm like what in the world is going on. So I'm I don't know if I can ever pick the Cowboys again what what happened. I mean, did they get out coach that they simply get beat up. What happened to the Cowboys Saturday night yesterday? Mason. What let's this that game was one in the trenches. I it really was Rams come into the game. The Rams office align I felt like took a little bit of a step back towards the end of the season. And what we saw from the Rams in this game. They literally impose they're willing to Dallas Cowboys Dallas Cowboys come into the game had one of the best defense in the National Football League particular particularly their their one their run defense was ranked in the top five. So you thought you would think like, okay, they're gonna make the Rams one-dimensional and put it on Jerry golf's hands. But that wasn't the case that was off the line completely dominated the Dallas Cowboys, Stephen there, you know, this when you can't make a team wanted dimensional. You have no shot and that was and that's what happened in the game talking to Damien Woody right here with Steven ESPN radio. ESPN news. It's one of those situations. You heard the news about Jason. Garrett Scotland hand they're called basically stunted you had a situation where the Los Angeles Rams knew exactly what they were going to do. And and ultimately were prepared for it. How much of an indictment if any at all is that against a coaches, and what should be done about it, your estimation Damian? Well, listen, everyone has tendencies, you know, when you watch film. And also the things everyone has tendency there things you can pick up just by watching film, even in New England Patriots have that. But for the for the Rams their for their coaches and players you'll be able to say, oh, we knew exactly what they wanna do. Really? I mean, that's an indictment on the coaches because you can't you can't be have. He can't be tipping all the opposition to what exactly you're going to do. And also had a problem with Scotland hand Jason Garrett not using deck as far as his legs are concerned. That's one of the best parts of his game. You we'll try to use them on the run. Past options or trying to have him run the football some it's just this their whole game plan by the Dallas Cowboys was trophies in in my opinion. They mean what he right here was even eight years PM radio. ESPN news this move on. We saw the reigning defending Super Bowl champion. Philadelphia. Are people sleeping on the Oklahoma City Thunder

"I want to get to another team in the west. That's been a surprise. Obviously we're talking about the nuggets. But how about the thunder Paul George had twenty five fourth quarter points and Russell Westbrook past Jason Kidd on the all time list for most triple doubles has the thunder win again. Okay. See has jumped all the way to second in the west guys. Let's not forget Russell, Westbrook's real real good. Stephen it. Are you buying thunder as real contenders combine them by them? I think Russell Russell Westbrook is a superstar in this league. Yes. And he is the he's the most ruthless competitor. There is in the word. Everybody that's not wearing the same uniform for those forty eight Paul George is something special and the watch him continue to Bob considering the injuries that he incurred. I give him a lot of credit where credit is due right now. He's averaging about twenty four point three games. Stephen Adams is obviously good. And then you look at some of the young talent grant and entrusted to pick up a forgot land. Big Tom pickup. I like what I'm seeing from them. I still don't have them go into the conference finals. Obviously, even though if the players would to begin today, it will be the Lakers vs Golden State in the first round. And then the legs will home, I'm thinking, nobody. But the Golden State out west would beat the Lakers in the postseason. But I will tell you go Oklahoma City is a force to be reckoned with because without having to deal with the whole mellow issue. And it's just about the big two in Stephen Adams in young talent that game Schroeder coming off the bench. I got to admit I'm very impressed with what I'm seeing from the Oklahoma City thunder right now, I. Cannot take my eyes off of them. I don't say it don't say they'll say, I'm kind of hoping the rockets don't get good this year. It's look so bad for Carmelo right now. Like, you take them off the team look at how much better they get. And I understand they're deeper and there are certain differences in the team. Now, then forget about Carmelo several years ago. But but but not take this team versus the team that failed against Golden State in game seven at oracle several years ago. Yes. There are some differences that make a difference. But we all know the NBA at the highest level is about your very best players guys. They pose zero threat to the warriors because they couldn't get past the warriors before the warriors had K de Paul Georgia's excellent is he is is not K D. And now Katy is on the warriors. So since their two best players used to be K, D And Westbrook. And now, it's K D And Paul George and now the team that they couldn't get past as Addie, Katie. There's no way for them to beat the warriors. There are threat to anyone
