"Player. Now I think a player that is coming back into the fold at he's just he's the best wide receiver they have like in appear skills through position. He's better than those other players. I don't have them ahead of Sutton because I think sutton offers more touchdown upside than Emmanuel Sanders does us but kind of digging through the mock here. Are you going to find somebody you're happy with at all with Joe flacco thrown him the ball or or is this a bunch of wasted breath because we shouldn't even be talking about wide receivers Denver. <hes> certainly someone could emerge. I mean I remember the days were Joe. FLACCO threw a deep as well. Those those were neat. Steve Smith were also yes but it's been a long time and the question is was that because of his weapons or is that because now he is much more of a Dinka dunk passer giambra Eileen that direction direction Eileen that you know which means Dejean or manual. I'm not as bullish as you Andy on you know I've seen the same videos but you're you see those with everyone. You know you see them running against air it not in pads looking looking sharp looking great and I think that there's a another world to get to when it comes to being on the field in contact all of that and <hes> so I I lean day sean for the short stuff but if you WANNA throw your your pick account for who has the best chance to to really emerge as a relevant a very very good fantasy option I think it's gotta be Portland Sutton because if someone comes through you want a red zone option and he's the big bodied guy he looked great and spurts he disappeared in spurts but a lot of what's being said around Denver is that it looks like he's ready to step up into that number. One role he himself assumes he is going to be the number one option and if that's the case as if he's stepping up to be the new damaris Thomas hopefully someday they get the new peyton manning yeah I mean I have my problem with Sutton is that I wanted him to do that. I mean all these same refrains. Were there for the second half of the season. It was time for Sutton to step up and be the next Mary's Thomas Still Rookie season sure but it was disappointing yes it was there anybody happy with I mean he was no people were swarming to pick up cortlandt Sutton for his opportunity and that was without without Emmanuel Sanders. It's all of this is going to be an offense predicated on running the ball and having a rejuvenated defense. I don't I want him to succeed. I want him to be great. I don't know if the volumes GONNA be there for him. Yeah that's fair. Do you have any interest at all. Noah fan you have first round draft pedigree for tight end is still his rookie tied in I don't but I mean what we have seen before is Joe flacco hyper target his his tight ends and now he has a very athletically radically gifted one. I don't doubt that he will have four games..

"You imagine craft could be in line for that. But there are other factors. Greg is well that craft could be up against after what was a highly unfortunate event in his life. I'm not even gonna put an opinion on this. But I heard that there are some talk among hall of fame voters here at the combine wondering about how that would impact as chances in that they thought it would it's very important to him to be to be a hall of Famer. And that this certainly could be something that would get in the way that voters are specifically instructed not to take any of that into account when they're voting which is really frustrating. I agree west because they seem to totally I mean, they back they do. So they do in other news Legal News Damaris Thomas who we lost less? Obvious carted off the field with. Lower leg injury wide receiver with the Texans was big years. Of course with the Broncos. He's been arrested on alligators in including regular assault stemming from a crash earlier this month. So just add west. I don't know. Did did he land in the top one hundred and one agents? No, he didn't make this is a guy that already said a great career in the NFL. Who's back was against the wall on the wrong side of thirty coming off a lower body injury. Now he has legal proceedings. It is not going to be a hot free agent market. Put it that way. No because he's not going to be able to work out for a while with that achilles injury in the last two teams that had him the Broncos and Texans have no real interest in this time around the Texans. Their GM Brian game was talking today, and he really likes his wide receiver core right now with KiKi cute t- emerging in willful or coming back from an ACL entry. I mean, he got bigger problems though. That's the no joke. Yeah, they Hickey or you know, that that's a no joke. Charge that he's facing. All right. That's that's what's happening in the news. A like yesterday. It was fun yesterday. We did some other takeaways from what we've seen in the last twenty four hours or so Greg going to get us going with some other takeaways. Wow. What do you want me to get a gun? Now. I I I've noticed the last couple of days with the Viking stocking. Rick Spielman Mike Zimmer Gary kubiak is running the show in that building on offense. There's a guy Kevin sa- fancies there. I don't know if you remember he was the offense coordinator after they. You made a change in December last year interviewed for good job. He has a title offense coordinator, it doesn't matter. Coops has come in there. He's running the show. He brought all these assistants in. They're not even trying to hide it. They're bringing his entire running scheme. They're going to look for different zone runners in the ways Zimmer was talking about kubiak. He's just like excited to hear kubiak talk about all the old days under Bill Walsh. And all this stuff. It's a strange situation. But they're acknowledging that's the fancy who has the title of offense coordinator is basically reporting to kubiak. I can't remember a setup quite like that before. But I guess it can work Kevin's defence. Like the analytics department in Cleveland. There was a cross section of thought he very highly of him as the perfect mixture to make the next head coach. And maybe Mike Zimmer is not carrying so much about the analytics results on Kevin Stansky. I think kubiak is sort of like the offense version of Wade Phillips. He's one of the best offensive coordinators of this century. I agree. Let me throw. Some out there. I don't think it's really been anybody's kinda speculated on that. But Doug Baldwin the star wide out for the Seahawks pekair revealed during his presser that bald underwent knee and shoulder surgeries after the season. This is a guy that seems to be beat up a lot. He also is now on the wrong side of thirty. I checked out over the cap, which is a great resource for anybody. That falls football and the Seahawks are flush with cap space seventy five million excuse me. They have fifty one million cast base which puts them in the top ten..

"At that point time they inquired about Damaris Thomas. They looked at other wide receivers. But they were never able to get anything done. And they didn't get anything done in part because there was not the desperation with Josh Gordon on the roster now that he's gone. There is a little bit lack of depth. If they have other players, but his Lewis mentioned, they do not have Josh Gordon's skills check. So they got to make do with all the players that they do have or certainly capable. But there's no doubt that this is a blow to the patriots offense. All right. So with the patriots now compromise boomer pass linebacker Tedy Bruschi has this inside on the teams that are the best. The AFC has to offer team in the AFC that you trust the most. Yes, do you wanna tell them? It was the New England Patriots. Past tense. It was it was past tense. They can't be the team to beat right now after they've struggled against Miami. And the Pittsburgh Steelers were moving on here. Okay. This is a week to week the league this AFC is up for grabs. Would you agree is working nobody? I'm scared of nobody the patriots the chiefs anybody. That's changes things it does. But for right now, it's the Los Angeles chargers seeing them both back on the edge. Derwin James is a great player and Philip rivers. Mike williams. I really like how they're playing the team to beat right now. This week is Los Angeles chargers. John Harbaugh will return to the ravens coach next season. They are working on an extension beyond twenty nineteen. He's taken Baltimore to the playoffs. Six times winning the Super Bowl, of course, in twenty twelve the raiders expressing interest in playing in San Francisco in twenty nineteen. They are moving to Las Vegas twenty twenty have no lease for next year. We mentioned the dodgers shipping. Yossi Wigan mad camp to the reds along with left. The Alex would deal that brings back Homer Bailey who they will cut ties with so as roughly fifteen million off their luxury tax payroll for twenty nineteen perhaps perhaps clearing up a role for Bryce Harper addition to water parades on sportscenter withstand barracks. Well. Offers a great fit anywhere. You can put them in any town any lineup. All take a Bryce Harper. The curse thing is though with.

"The. After. The eagles won the Super Bowl. We said oh my gosh. They didn't even do it with their number one guy. Carson Wentz is coming back. I think Carson Wentz is struggling with that. I think he is. And we'll see what the addition of golden Tate does for him. If they he just needed extra weapon. But I still like Carson Wentz a lot. I have them at number four at number three. I have Sam darnold. Why said that Josh Rosen would be the most pro ready quarterback in this past draft. I said that over time. Sam darnold would be the best. And I look at Sam darnold, and I say he is a franchise quarterback. He's the he is a guy that can lead the jets for the next decade and turn that franchise around. I've darnold that number three. At number two. I have. So don't call me a Homer, Patrick Mahomes. I have Patrick Mahomes, and it's not because of any negative against Patrick Mahomes. It is because of who I haven't number one to Shawn Watson. Look, what company Patrick Mahomes is keeping with the way that he has started his career one of the guys started his career in a similar way to Patrick Mahomes in terms of being prolific throwing touchdown passes. Just Shawn Watson. We forget that. He was sensational to start his career. And then he got hurt. And now, he's working his way back. Now, he has another weapon in Damaris Thomas. I told the story a few times now of how wheels text me. I was calling volleyball game wasn't really paying attention to the draft kind of had it on my phone, but not looking and I got a text from wheels saying the chiefs traded up, and I and I immediately looked to see who I've been drafted before DeShaun Watson wasn't. And I started freaking out because just Shawn Watson was my guy that was the guy going into this draft. I said if the chiefs can get a quarterback, it's gotta be dishonor Watson. Now, Patrick Mahomes has certainly proved that he's going to be a great quarterback in this league. But does Shawn Watson did what Patrick Mahomes is doing last year. And now he's getting more and more healthy as the season goes on the Texans are starting to pick it up. And as I said has the addition of Damaris Thomas now, so does Shawn Watson would be my number one pick. If we combine the first round QB's for the last three years. I welcome your thoughts on it. Two eight six zero zero four six you take the three. The last three years the quarterbacks taken in the first round who's your number one pick two eight six zero zero four six we will get to your thoughts on that. After we take a look at your Thursday.

"And our three hundred thirty six radio Phillies around the country. And when I look at the college football rankings. I don't look at the top four. I always say who's going to get screwed. This year is central Florida gonna get screwed again this year because they do have a good schedule and a good schedule. The rest of the year Notre Dame schedule is actually sneaky good. Couple of tough games. I mean, I don't know what US's going to put up. Syracuse is better than advertised here. Florida state might wake up, but I always look at who's going to be out on the outside looking in when it comes to those college football rankings. All right. Well, we'll play of the day stat of the day. Mclovin will have is poll question coming up as well. How your team acts at the trade deadline can send a strong message to your fan base after he traded for golden tape. Beagles GM Howie Roseman said he wants fans to no we're not taking our foot off the gas. Now, some other people looked at this and said man of the eagles, desperate. You don't want your team to mortgage the future for a declining player. But you also want to know if your team is all in or not and if they're not all in. Okay. What is our strategy here? Like if you're alliance fan today. What do you think it? We just traded golden Tate. He averages ninety two catches a year. All right. He's in a contract year. But he's still golden Tate and he's a good wide receiver. Does. He great. No z. Good. Yes. Is he reliable? Yes. Damaris thomas. He's okay. Any might be a good fit for the Texans. You know, the eagles with Tate the Texans with Demaria's Thomas the Redskins. They got ha ha Clinton Dix. The rams. I thought the Rams did. Well, getting a edge rusher in Dante Fowler, each move shows that these teams aren't content with where they are despite having winning records or leading their divisions. No excuses now because now the fun begins can't wait to see if there's an aggressive move that will pay off for one of these t. Teams when the playoff picture begins to take shape across the NFL. And then the Steelers couldn't trade lady on bell. Not that they didn't want to it just they couldn't because he didn't show up but lady on bell is gonna be a spot starter. Share Carey's touches is we like to say with James Connor, and we'll see how the Steelers are able to use U poll question. Mclovin. What are you have for me, by the way, the Premier League mornings clash of top clubs its arsenal? And Mohammed Saleh in Liverpool. That'll be Saturday at one thirty eastern on NBC. Yes. Mclovin. Okay. This kind of a stupid question. But of the five players big players traded yesterday, which one has the most value golden Tate. Damaris Thomas Dante Fowler, junior Clinton Dix. Ty, Montgomery, actually. Is that addition by subtraction with time on Gumri? And you know, paulie brought this up on Monday. You know, do they cut him? Do they trade him? And I thought well, he still has value. But he's not good enough to be a starting running back. They do have a couple of other running backs there. And he's not good enough to be a very good wide receiver. So put himself in limbo. And if Aaron Rodgers doesn't like you chances are you're going to be gone. And that's what happened, you know. Rogers was demonstrably upset with with Montgomery for what happened there with the kickoff in the Rams game. And they probably said do we really need this guy? I mean, the Packers didn't add anybody. I always look at who's going to add, you know, the patriots didn't add anybody. And I said this I had a friend who told me, hey, keep an eye on the patriots. And then all of a sudden, they didn't do anything..

"The Damaris Thomas deal over to the Texans. I think makes a lot of sense because Shawn Watson has looked lost to me at this point. Will fuller goes down with an injury that significant and the value wasn't much essentially it was a Damaris Thomas for seventh rounder four or six hundred sorry for. Forty four to six around there. So not a lot of value in the trade. And you bring in somebody. They can maybe help fill that gap in another division that looks like it could be winnable, even if the team isn't great. It's I think it's a pretty aggressive move by the Texans and Texans are playing the Broncos this Sunday in Denver. See you can be certain that he'll be getting asked immediately. What were you? What were you working on over there? What can you bring to the table in terms of head on up there, the old white board and show some place and what's going on? You know, interestingly speaking of your raiders as we just were Amari Cooper hasn't made his debut for the Cowboys yet. I wonder if Cowboys are looking at around at what some of the guys on the trade deadline are getting in return for the for these wide receivers and wondering. We have given away first rounder, right? Because none of the other wide receivers going today are going anywhere near that. Well, and I have to wonder though, golden tape for a third round. And you make a great point about the compensatory to pick. But golden Tate for third round rental. It does feel like there's a sort of a strange value on wide receivers that nobody can pinpoint what they should be worth in. That's going to be the interesting piece of it looking for because these trades absolutely play into how they're viewed the pick that went from Dallas to the raiders is always going to be attached with the Maury Cooper at this point. Now, I do want to point out one other trade today that a lot of people think is a super huge deal. I'm a little surprised by Dante Fowler, jR, gets traded from the Jags to the Rams again talk about paying a lot for a third and fifth round draft pick third round twenty nine thousand nine fifth round pick in twenty twenty and he's becoming an unrestricted free agent after the season two, but he hasn't had a particularly good year. So I think that's a lot to give up their that. Again, it feels like tea. Teams in their window right now decided to overpay this year for results. And that's that's stunning to me. Well, and maybe they you know, he he's he's got some off the field issues. Maybe he's a guy that they just think needs to be put in the right situation. And they'll get the best out of him and be able to convince him to stick around because it is a good team in a good city. And maybe that's their hope because you're right. Suspend not on a guy who hasn't been dominant and will become an unrestricted free agent after the season is kind of surprising. But if you look at their defensive line rotation they've got Aaron Donald is leaving the NFL sacks. Sue and Brocker all four former first round picks Fowler third over on two thousand fifteen Donald thirteenth in two thousand fourteen th SU second in two thousand ten brokers fourteen twenty twelve so if you're if you're the Rams, and you're very very confident in your offense. You wanna make sure your defense can keep up every week. I maybe maybe you feel like again the. Window is there to take advantage this year? Yeah, you're right. Maybe a depth plays worth it. When you think you're in this moment where heck not only are they talking Super Bowl for the Rams, but it's a question of when or if they'll even lose this season. So we're not done talking about the trade straight ahead. Tom Brady said he's inspired by Aaron Rodgers. But did a Packers player get traded because of Aaron Rodgers find out next pain and Fitz on ESPN radio and the ESPN app..
Browns fire coach Hue Jackson ahead of trade deadline
"General manager with their old. Hey, coach, hue Jackson. It was destined to fail. And it did finally on Monday when the Browns released Hugh Jackson with time left on his contract this season and next season. So the Browns will be paying him through two thousand nineteen but it will give John Dorsey and Alonzo Highsmith and Elliott Wolff in the Browns for an office the chance to go hire their own head coach, they are I in the pool this year. They get the start looking for an interviewing coaching candidates right now, if they want to go talk to Lincoln Riley at Oklahoma taking go do that. If they want to go talk to any other college coach, they can go do that. They don't have to hide behind anything right now. The Browns are the first out for a coaching search. And then of course, they make the change in offense coordinator firing Todd Haley and bringing in Freddie kitchens who doesn't have extensive experience running an NFL offense. So it'll be interesting to see how kitchens calls play. Days starting Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs. And so the Cleveland Browns the first team to overhaul their coaching staff, but the real changes came Tuesday with a flurry of moves that made this one of the busiest trade deadline days in NFL history. Last year was very busy. Because at the last moment in the twenty four hours leading up to the deadline. We saw Jimmy Garoppolo traded from New England to San Francisco j Gye traded from Miami to Philadelphia Dwayne Brown from Houston to Seattle. Marcel Darius from buffalo to Jacksonville and Kelvin Benjamin going from Carolina to buffalo end the almost trade of AJ McCarron from Cincinnati to Cleveland, the got foiled when the Browns could not get the deal done in time by the four o'clock deadline by the four o'clock deadline this year. There was no such thing. Holding back a flurry of moves. We saw de. Ver- trade Pro Bowl wide receiver. Damaris Thomas and a seventh round pick to the Houston. Texans for a fourth and seventh round pick. As will the interesting part of that trade is that Thomas is first game with the Texans will come Sunday in Denver against the Broncos team. That just traded him. Thomas was the longest tenure Bronco and get the Broncos say goodbye to him because really they weren't going to keep his fourteen million dollars salary around next season in my mind. The most surprising move right before the deadline. Came win Detroit traded golden Tate to Philadelphia for a third round pick. So many teams had made so many inquiries to the lions about golden Tate. But they had resisted all overtures for him. But finally, they broke down and dealt Tate to the eagles who for the second straight year made a trade right at the deadline last year Gye this year Tate, as they look to try to keep up with the rest of the NFC east another team in the NFC making.

"Now, he's we don't know if to Mary Thomas or manual Sanders are going to be traded before the deadline today. So we need to talk about it from both sides. But if you look at the snap percentage, the amount of snaps Coralline Sutton is getting its slightly below Damaris Thomas kind of in the same range as Mary Thomas over the last few weeks. He is the rising star of the team. And this makes sense for Denver to go. Get something for a player that's going to be a free agent into Mary's. Thomas a big cap hit or I'm sorry. He's got one year left does. Yeah. That's I was just one year let but look he's not part of their future. No, end Cortlandt Sutton, getting more opportunity this year to develop is important and for fantasy owners, it's huge because Sutton is a touchdown monster. He is a big play monster. Her. So how do you value Sutton? How do you adjust your bidding on Sutton based on whether or not a trade happens? If a trade does happen. I'm you know, I always say ten percent of the budget is usually my cap for a wide receiver because I'm always picking different guys up. I'm looking short term. But if DT is traded, I see Cortlandt Sutton as the chance to be a wide receiver to rest of season. And if you've got a guy that you can plug in and start him weakened weak out. I'm willing to spend twenty twenty five percent of my budget on Cortlandt Sutton. But that's only you will know by you know, by that time when you have to make your bid if Damaris Thomas was traded. And if you're the Broncos, if I you know, John Elway I trade to marry Thomas for anything you offer me a fifth rounder. I would say, yes, it's good for my team to get rid of the contract and give Cortlandt Sutton, more work. We're not winning anything this year. It's it's just. Win win his contract. Just for quick context. Next year. He would be a seventeen and a half million dollar cap hit earning thirty two. You can easily argue that Thomas has lost part of his game. An or they could just cut him for a three and a half dead cap. So if they don't trade him, I would widely suspect that Thomas will be cut so trade him for whatever you can get. And if you're in a keeper league, I would I would bid up a little bit more too. Because at the end of the season Sutton could be a keeper worthy type of guy for Jay Glazer just talked about the fact that the Amari Cooper trade him going for a one has over inflated a number of the asks around the league. So right now a lot of the maybe teams are calling that the prices are too high NFL GM's Jerry Jones has already spent his first round pick. So you're saying Mary Thomas should go for Dallas second round loud and clear, although it'd be so great that'd be so great. We fixed. Looking at some other wideouts. I wanna bring up while they're several names owner bringing let's start with DJ more rookie wide out and Carolina just on the kind of on the heels of Sutton last week was his highest snaps. I believe on the Seila. Yes. Second most routes run of the of the wide receiver position. Like it. It had to do a Torrey Smith not being on the field ninety as well as it's time. It's now time to get the first round rookie wide receiver going as they make their push towards the playoffs. Their schedule is solid you fantasy wider. See you. See that coming out of a bye for the rookie. Right. Okay. We had our by week. We're pushing for with the rookie. That's a great sign yet. And now this week you get Tampa Bay. Oh, yeah. I mean, this is DJ more is absolutely in the conversations to me. It's it's ironic because I looked through and I start picking out the names of who. I would say are my primary pickup. They're all rookie wide receivers for me other than one guy. It's it's like the week. This is the week of rookie wide receiver opportunity at least and seeing if they can come through. But DJ Moore is a great pickup against Tampa Bay. And he's got elite talent. And now if the opportunities there with the match up, that's the trial. I would say the what did he say that triumphant?.

"Know? So that's the goal. That's Emmanuel Sanders with our very own Cory Lopez and talking about getting ready for a week one and playing the Seattle Seahawks. And he's absolutely right. The expectations are to win. And you gotta come out fast. If you're the Denver Broncos this year simply because last year was so miserable five and eleven with multiple blowout games where you weren't even competitive, and you've got a stab some sort of identity in this week one and I'd say week too. Because you start the season out with two home games. Now, the Broncos are six at home openers and have a great opportunity today to go seven zero against this Seattle Seahawks team, and as I mentioned kind of leading up to. Two toss into that. Emmanuel Sanders interview, it's a show me year for both those guys I think because I think when. Cortlandt Sutton and day. Sean Hamilton were drafted this year and the second and fourth rounds that those two guys were put on notice that you have to produce in this league, or you're not going to be around very long and those two guys Damaris Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders are capable of producing at a high level. Now, we're going to give him the benefit of the doubt that the quarterback play was sub par for the last two seasons. And with stability at the quarterback position that both those guys can be better. We didn't see a lot of Damaris Thomas in the preseason. And that's okay. I still think he's a pro. And he'll be ready to come out and play. But you need your playmakers to make plays. You need them to show the way and Emmanuel Sanders is one of those guys that's a high energy guy. He can be an inspirational guy his passion for the way plays can be contagious on an offense. And if they established that connection between a Sanders, and a keenum, it's gonna be fun to watch. It's going to open up a lot of things for other guys as well for Cortlandt Sutton for Damaris Thomas for anyone of the tight ends, and I'll get into that in my extra points about establishing a number three receiver. But this offense has to be better than last year. And I think it starts at the receiving position. Yeah. They gotta be oh, come out run the football to play complementary football. But that's going to be one of the match. Today is the Broncos receivers against this transformed. New secondary for what used to be the legion of doom. Now, it's more the legion. Of whom they're not household names. Like they used to be and the Broncos have to be able to take advantage of that another matchup. You gotta watch for today. Is the offensive line being able to protect case keenum. That's a key. It doesn't matter who the Seahawks have rushing the passer. Roles in the Michael benefits are gone. The Sheldon Richardson all gone from that Seattle Seahawks defense, but they've got a guy named Frank Clark. Who's had nine thousand nine hundred six in the last two years. So this guy can get after the quarterback as well. So they're gonna have to protect well and give him the time, and they're also going to have to block well to establish around. It's been a topic of conversation for quite some time around here is having stability at the offensive line on paper. It looks as good as it has has been you got Paradis at anchor in the center position. And then you got the guard big Ron Larry at left guard. I think helps stabilize the left side was still a young tackling Garrett Bowles who's an athletic guy got great feet. That's going to have learned a ton with all the playing time. He had last year, but he has to cut down on the penalties. Not about doubt about it. Can't have the penalties that the Garrett Bowles had last year. And he knows that. And then Jared Valderrama at right tackle alongside Connor McGovern. They gotta deal anchor that rags side, so there appears to be a little bit more stability on the offensive line and showed signs and flashes of it in the preseason of effective running the football too as well as being able to throw the football. So this isn't gonna be Peyton Manning's offense. Where you're throwing the ball around thirty thirty five times a game. It's going to have to be a balanced offense throw in about as much as you run the football. So it's incumbent upon the Broncos to be effective running the football today and establish that ground control that they do and and and ball control and clock management. They were dear. Last in the league with only twenty three minutes of possession per game last year. That's pathetic. It should be closer to thirty thirty every game. So that means opposing teams were on the field. Thirty six minutes a game. The Broncos have to have to be better at in that category specifically as well as the plus minus turnover ratio last year, minus seventeen twenty two interceptions. Twelve fumbles some of on special teams, we all know about that with Isiah McKenzie that has to be better as well. So there's a lot to improve upon a lot of expectations in week one. But I think the Broncos are up for the challenge. And I think it starts with guys like Emmanuel Sanders and Maryse Thomas on the offensive ball being team leaders and getting the wild factor back in this offense. All right when we come back. We're going to get into my extra points. What the Broncos have to do to roll what they have to do to win. Win my version of the keys to the game. And I like to think outside the box. It's not you're just run a mill run of the mill keys to the game. This is what I really truly believe the Broncos need to do to be effective and win the football game today against the Seattle Seahawks. And then I'll be coming up next as.

"I can give you some names. So right now he is sandwiched between Adam Phelan and Larry FitzGerald. Right. And is there any scenario where Baldwin or Larry FitzGerald right now? Take Larry. Wow. I would take Doug. Yeah, I would go Larry. But, but I'm with Jason that I am. I'm absorbing the risk of Doug Baldwin because the upside of Doug Baldwin is a top five wide right now you don't have to or right now you can draft deal in or fits or hill or Cooper. Sure. Would you drive Baldwin or hill? I think I would win Otake bowling? Okay. Cooper or Baldwin that why now Hooper with injury to duck Baldwin. All right. Number sixteen is to marry us. Thomas. It was a year that he, he faced challenges at the quarterback position. He still received the tenth. Most targets in the NFL. He had a much stronger second half of the season much more consistent second half of the season right now. His average epizootic is the fourth pick of the fourth round. And we expect to Mary's Thomas to be better because we expect case keenum to be. More consistent than the quarterbacks that he's had over the last few years? Yeah, it for Damaris Thomas last year. It was if fishy it was quarterback play, hit the average gap of top twenty wide receivers. When you're talking about where they finished in target total to where they finished in fantasy points this past season, it was just under two positions, meaning that the wide receiver who got the sixth most targets, they're going to finish right around there in fantasy finish of the guys in the top twenty of targets. Only Dez Bryant. Damaris. Thomas had a negative gap of ten meaning his quarterbacks sucks. That's just making it as easy as Paul verified opinion that, yes, this my verified opinion that the targets were there. The quarterbacks were bad to marry. Thomas is not the same player that he has been throughout his career. He is aging. He is not as dominant athletically, but he's a contested catch beasts. He is figuring out how to play in the NFL with with this aged wide receiver body, even though he's not ancient in terms of rage, do you believe that Cortlandt Sutton can threaten the value of Damaris Thomas this year, wide receiver rookie for the Bronx. I do think so. He's been on the field as a starter in training camp and you know, he'll in three wide. He's on the field Damaris Thomas. If you compare his game speed from twenty sixteen to twenty seventeen. There's a noticeable dip for him when as he's getting older, he is slowing. I agree complete. Only he can box guy out and contested catch the heck out of a ton of targets..

"Since that super bowl loss is brock versus peyton and trevor versus paxton and it was a keep to leave shooting himself in the leg and tj ward getting traded and being pissed off about it all this team has been as drama for like the last four years and the fact that they're going into this mini camp and i'm not saying the interest level isn't there because there are lot of spots where the broncos made moves and it's going to be interesting to see but i the broncos need their mini camp in their offseason programs to look like spring training in baseball not like the jerry springer show like they just need to go out have their position battles there's not many of them to be quite frank on the roster just go out have a drama free offseason yet through your lot in with case keenum which i think versus kirk cousins was a mistake but will but at least you have your guy and he's way better than what you have before i think the broncos need one off of just let's get prepared for this season because our division is once again going to be extremely difficult there have been other teams that have been worse than us that look like they're getting better like houston white cleveland so this team needs to be without the drama and i think they will be over the next three days tuesday wednesday thursday i am interested to see how the rookies look i am interested to see case keenum build that trust with damaris thomas in his receivers i am curious to see.

"The connor nope we're the same we gave him at a dude i completely agree like looking at the track hills like it i the day before the draft was making fun of john elway on facebook live and in the b r f about dude can't draft he's gonna mess this one up anyway and i don't know if was gary kubiak influence or i don't know if john had an epiphany about scouting but they had a really really good draft because i do think there's some starters here and guys who maybe are a year way they drafted it positions of few future need which is so so smart bradley chubb and von miller holy fuck they're going to be great together insane damaris thomas is getting older emmanuel sanders is getting older see you draft their replacements in court sutton and dejean hamilton i'm with you roy screaming around three he might start a running back for them so file that note away when it's fantasy football time and alma josie jewell guy i really am i know he's not a great athlete but man you you can't time instincts on a stop watch of the combine and his instincts are so good that i would not be surprised if in a year he is a starting middle linebacker for them so i i really liked their drafting did not expect to at all these they've made all like i felt like my guys kind of selections and also i like staying at five and taking bradley shut the trade get your guy you know the colts behind you they're gonna take him get your guy great pick denver i mean man they got shaq barrett and shane ray behind those guys i don't like shane ray but still when he's your fourth pass rusher denver.

"I'm not too sure where it's going to be our at the jets how of the fourth most capspace browns have the second most let's see whereas denver up denver hasn't doesn't have who denver doesn't have them much actually let's see arizona's eighteen most cap where's denver at i'm just missing are denver as a seventeen most capspace right they're looking to try to keep to leave so that's going gonna create some more space pry bring in a bid if they get as little eleven million dollar contract out out of there all right so now where does kirk end up personally i think that it's going to be denver all right because john away has struggled drafting quarterbacks brock osweiler didn't work out trevor simeon didn't work out paxton lynch did not work out the broncos were foreign twelve team the season i believe and i think that was more had to do with the fact that they had bad quarterback play rather than uh rather than anything else they people like to say oh yeah their defense took a step back i'm not too sure about that did denver's defense really take a step back or was it just a case of them being on the field constantly throughout the game and not getting any breaks and pretty much you give up a touch down games already over i think that's what the case was with denver detroit denver's defense they have talent on that team right for them to go out and plays poisy did this year poorly as they did this year i mean there's got to be more behind it and that's where i think to quarterback play comes it all right you got guys like even on the office so you've got guys like damaris thomas putting up near a thousand yards with playing with three different quarterbacks mentioned he could do the gallic her cousins are you sure you wanna you don't want to take her cousins you want to draft a quarterback in this year you wanna take baker may feel possibly josh alan maybe sam hamdan if he falls to you.

"He did healthy gold iras all that's a five year ago pliers it on it yeah fair enough so there's guys out there right now i just went did a look jarvis land landry is going to be a free agent josh gordon who my love which that'd be a rough one sandon watkins available they're trying to get out from under damaris thomas contract to turn around and pay another guy john thomas yeah absolutely why wouldn't you i mean there's plenty of guys out there to go get paul richardson you could look at for a dollar at long i kidding you've watched him play right yeah the broncos don't have anyone like him emmanuel sanders isn't like the now matteo's anti that all of them eur one eight you wanna put your faith in him as you're number one guy no i said i said there's guys out there's guys out there it's it's all going to shake up slightly differently i'm just saying i don't i think the keep to leave loss will change the team a lot more than losing the wide receivers because i liked the various thomas but he has had the drops these mmhmm and i don't think he's the guy he was when he was with chievo will you make a good point there and emmanuel sanders also he's going to do as complain the ball was it there he threw it over the middle and got me her he's not throwing it to me enough i don't have enough targets like you just i feel like getting rid of him addition by subtraction for me now that being said that the broncos they'll have any other wide receivers there's the covered his bare.

"What do you where the broncos go from here were they i think you have to i think you have to look at your silvana sleep like from the front office down jonah was my teammate love john elway you look at what they have drafted in what they assembled talent wise on the opposite side of the ball it it's not good but they they have not been able to find an offense of wine or offense of lying combination that can actually block people k they're receiving corps i mean damaris thomas at one point was a an elite wide receiver he's not anymore can't beat one on one coverage consistently is not physically dominant they don't have a third wide receiver they can separate that threatens anybody in the middle of the football field they don't have a tight end that they can line up in and beat man demand coverage against linebackers um there are certainly not have a quarterback the can play are a mess and then you know you you keep changing coaching staff like continuities import you keep changing coaching staff like that's going to make your personnel better the personnel that you've put you look at john elway's track record drafting off its of players just look at the first three rounds ming cody latimer's a bust higher men third rounder tied in bust uh pacts than lynch is a first rounder that that can't beat out trevor simeon two years in a row that brock osweiler seems to be a better answer four.

"Both teams are good and i also think a lot of people are underestimating what san diego chargers can do they had a lot of injuries last year lost the latah close games they've got talent on both sides of the ball and i'm not saying that the broncos are going to lose tonight but this division is stacked top to drawing it visu at where you need the best player the broncos don't at quarterback they've got the force fourthbest starting quarterback in the division whether it's a brock or trevor it doesn't matter which one so i mean that's an issue in its jerry it's how many times is brock osweiler showed intentionally on the broadcast nine too many that's good that's their first sideline camera angle craig texan i've been crying all weekend about how you feel about the uh it aegis randomly tech said hey guys i've been crying always you know what i'm most worried about uh tj ward brought some teeth to the defense now we can see here in argue all day long whether who's better simmons parks tj we can we can argue this all they long but the fact of the matter is having tj ward over there on the defense brought a little bit of teeth and i also think that he was one of those guys it was able to keep it a key in line a little bit you know what i mean he he would they were both kind of more yang than yin but i think they kind of could work with each other and i don't think that there's that guy on the defense now except maybe possibly vaughn miller that can have any say onto what a key to leave does which might be an issue i went back and i looked at okay'd the playoff teams from last year what do they have in common how good or their quarterbacks houggard the running back because i think we would all none of us would deny that damaris thomas and emmanuel sanders is one of the most talented receiving course yeah for sure they have their issues but dared talented i feel like that's a good group for the denver broncos we would agree that even with their problems against the.

"The marius thomas has a floor that is i mean when you talk four you're talking about what's the lowest they're going to finish and i believe mike right has him were aimed as kind of you know when we rate we do that average that medium this is a round where they'll finish i think he has a marine ct below where his floor is and and here's the case damaris thomas is a career wide receiver one in fantasy football now i understand that the peyton manning evidence is inflammatory and intended to cause prejudice okay we can throw that out i mean sure three great years with peyton manning where he finished as the fifth best wide receiver the first best wide receiver and the second best wide receiver in fancy football he doesn't happy manning anymore but you cannot deny the damaris thomas himself has the talent to finish as a as the number one wide receiver invisible because he's done it he just doesn't now have the quarterback to get that done however we cannot throughout that final year of peyton manning and we cannot throw out perac osweiler the worst quarterback that has gotten play in the nfl in recent memory during that year where brock was better than peyton manning he finished as the wide receiver eleven so he was still a wide receiver one during that time and then last year you come into a season where you didn't know who is going to be the starting quarterback they didn't have him on the roster they were expecting to have brock osweiler brock osweiler wyler winter texas and they had to fall on a previous draft pick in the seventh round a guy who had only played one snap in the nfl before so for all intents purposes he was a rookie his one snap was to neil the ball down get that's all trevor semi and had ever done.
