"The backfield, but if they're not going to be able to run the ball on their eagles team, they're in trouble. That is going to be a problem. They're in trouble because the eagles secondary is veterans, right? They're veterans. These guys that make turnovers create turnovers. I mean, yeah, it got slate back, come on, big game slay. You know he's itching for a party to think that you can throw that out or you can try to pump fake and throw that depot. Bro, I'm going to be all over that. But I will tell you this this is one thing that does worry me about this game for the eagles that can go in favor of the niners. I'm picking the eagles to win. But if the eagles defense goes in thinking that they can punk brought purdy, they're going to be in for a big surprise. 'cause I don't think he's, I don't think he's punk able. I think the kid has got some moxie. I think the kids got some grapefruits. And I think the kid can play within the system that he's been playing well and so he's not, I don't think they're going to scare him. But you can out scheme him. You can't be a very aggressive man. Back to the game last week with Dallas though, you know what was really telling. You said it perfectly. Every time I brought that out on the bootleg, he was getting chased down bow down. You was just getting mauled back there. He's getting harassed. Yeah, he was getting hit a lot. But when he did straight back drops, Trent owned Parsons, bro, he parses had to just try to rush the pocket. He got on there. Well, that's how you last week. I wanted Parsons, all this LT talk that people's calling me a hater last year. I said, don't you dare mention this man with the name of Lawrence Taylor. Just on that point, there's so many. There's a long line. Yes. Way before you even get the. You're not even javon kirsch. Bruce Smith, you're not like, come on now, guys. Stop with the comparisons. So early in the guy's career and last year, when defensive player doesn't look, he's gonna get a dish here. Those wars are hard to win, so the year you were supposed to win it, you gotta go win it, but last week what I wanted out of him was to put his stamp on the game and wreck the game if you're Lauren. If you're the next Lawrence Taylor, you write that game. You messed that game all up. We were walking away two years from now going, yeah, you guys saw parking was going to be all that until he ran in the Michael Parsons in Dallas in that playoff game. We're not going to be able to say that now. Because he didn't wreck the game. So I'm looking for a guy like slay tomorrow to wreck the game for the Philly defense and just put San Francisco on notice that you played some good teams and then Dallas, look, that was defense played great. That throws the two picks. I mean, I hate to put it on deck, but he turned the ball over twice, and there's the game. Wealth needs to really look inside and that Dallas situation. That's your general manager Jerry Jones. Oh, absolutely. Here's the deal. Absolutely. All right, because here's my thing. Yeah, decked in play great. They didn't play well at all. In fact, no, no, he did. He didn't. He didn't. But he did. And then there's this one, this one still shot on Twitter. Everybody has, they find the one oh, look at this. All right? Fred Warner was lined up in the a gap. And Kerry CD lamb down the hash. And everybody's like, TY Hilton's wide open over there. But I'm like, dude, I Fred Warner all pro, don't get me wrong. Yeah. But your number one receiver is getting checked by a linebacker who was feigning blitz before the snap up the scene. Up the scene. That's got to be one. That right here. You say he's got to make that throw. There's got to be separation. If I'm CD lamb, I can't get I can not be guarded by linebacker. If I'm seeing lamb a linebacker can't check me. No, no. No, not at all. And then look at the other. Look at the other. If you look at the other half of it still, S T Y Hilton over there. Yeah. At the start of this football season, TY Hilton was doing just like me and you. Watching TV. Sure was. And now we're thinking TY Hilton is going to be, you know what I'm saying? That was the Odell Beckham constellation. I was about to I was about to throw that in there though. They had to just should have had to just pour the trigger on Odell. Being what you saw, being what we saw last Sunday. Part of me thinks that Odell couldn't go. I pardon me things that you're with me. Okay, I'm with you. There's no logical explanation, otherwise. Yeah. He wasn't, when he went to go do his physical and they worked him out. They looked in her like, yeah, you look like a 31 year old receiver that's had two ACLs, bro that's how you look right now. And we just in the NFL, I got you. I'm with you. But I look at Dalton Schultz and is he even cracking the list of top three, 5 tight ends in the NFL? He's going to get paid like it. I don't know. This is something to think about. As you're moving forward, insanity is doing things the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. Yeah, and just also really quite last week, I went on my show. I did a rant where I think Dallas biggest problem is Jerry Jones. I think their biggest issue is Jerry Jones. And no one wants to say it, but it's true. To me, that Ross has to improve

The MMQB NFL Podcast
"dalton schultz" Discussed on The MMQB NFL Podcast
"Hello and welcome to the MM QB NFL podcast I'm Gary gremlin, and I'm Connor rohr. Connor we have worked our way down to the final four here. As the laws of nature and man, demand, we are going to go backwards in time through divisional round weekend. It should be called conference semifinal weekend, but that's okay. And we're going to start this one off with the cowboys forty-niners game that we recently watched. And once again, the cowboys kind of go out with a whimper, especially in the offensive side of the ball in the postseason. Yeah, so I guess my big question is, when you and whatever style points optics, none of that stuff really matters to coaches, it matters more to us, but when you lose the way that you did to the forty-niners last year, where you were unable to get a spike off and you're in the waning moments of that game, how do you put yourself in a situation where you're equally as poor in terms of understanding and interpreting the clock. I feel like reading a room a little bit and then I don't know where you want to slot Gary that final play call in our stack of important things to talk about, but holy Moses was that thing just absolutely ridiculous. We can kind of do it up top here. And again, just like last year, it's unlikely they win the game, even if they manage that final drive correctly. That, of course, ended with the dak Prescott on the quarterback draw, and then they ran out of time before they get next snap off. In this one, we had dull and Schultz. I don't know, man. I don't know if he just forgot the rule about forward progress, which I know some people and look, Greg Olson was astute to point it out, and people pointed out that Greg also was a suit to point out, but also everyone who's watched professional football in the last like three years knows exactly what that role is. It's become, I don't know, is you come like the ten second runoff on a pre snap penalty in the final in the final two minutes there. It's just something everyone knows this one. I don't know how Dalton Schultz didn't know that and kind of just gave up on the play and then obviously one play later I don't know what that is. What are you doing? So do you want to hear my what I think was going to happen? Yeah. All right, so for those of you who didn't see the play, Prescott, it basically a swinging gate sort of thing where you have some of your offensive linemen out wide. And then you have Ezekiel Elliott by himself as the lone offensive lineman and he's snapping the ball backwards. And then what happened in real time was that Zeke snaps the ball in a very wobbly fashion and then just gets plastered by whoever the forty-niners put over the ball and was unable to get up and then dak Prescott just throws like a 6 yard comeback and the receiver gets tackled and the game is over. I think they did not expect Ezekiel Elliott to be covered and I think that he was going to be kind of like the flip back guy. I think that they were probably going to hook in ladder that. Yes. So that's what I think was going to happen, but how did you not expect that, I mean, kudos to D'amico in the forty-niners defense. They were just like, no, we're just going to clobber this guy. And it was awesome. It looks so cool. One less person to run with the ball. Yeah, it was, what I was thinking was once the cowboys saw they didn't have the look. And they didn't have to look once they realized that it was going to get plowed over on that play. Just clocked the ball. Just take the snap clock the ball and line up for another play. And do it that way. Again, we're talking about whatever a thousand to one chance that they win the game in this scenario anyway, but what a weird, yeah, yeah, the two Dalton Schultz plays, you had a really weird opening play there where like dak Prescott just sort of didn't even really lower his shoulder just ran his face into Eric Armstead in the end zone and then just like spun out of it and it was like, boy, this is. This is not going according to plan. Early on here. And I would argue that, I mean, I don't know, so we'll kind of slowly back it up to the previous drive, which I think was sort of the most damning and so I'll start by saying that I understand why Mark Mike McCarthy did what he did that did not stop me from dunking on him on the website for doing what he did. But I think that you have to kind of take a broader look at the game flow at that point. Like the forty-niners run game had started to work. Now, under normal circumstances, I get putting the game in the hands of your defense and in the hands of Dan Quinn and in the hands of Micah Parsons and all these guys. But they started to get tired and it's not like Sam darnold's your quarterback. You do have dak Prescott. You have CD lamb and I looked this up to make sure that I had it right. Dak Prescott was the 6th best quarterback in the NFL this year on throwing downs where the defense expected a throw. If that makes sense. Yeah. So if there was a 70% chance or greater that at any team in that circumstance is going to throw. Yep, dak Prescott was the 6th best quarterback in the NFL. Patrick Mahomes obviously far and away number one. But, you know, he could pick up ten yards, right? I mean, I don't know. I don't give the ball back to that offense. The forty-niners offense, like they're built to milk the clock. They're built to make you use timeouts in ways that you don't want to use them. And I don't know. To me, that just seems like a maddening use of your resources there. Why would you punt the ball? And look, give credit to you. Are you team punt? You love the cowboys. You might be team pun. Oh man. I was kind of team hopeless at that point. It just seemed like it was over. And look, if you don't get the fourth and ten, the game is over right there. I go for it, but there's just, there's probably nothing good coming out of that. Like, where's the calls at the week one of the season? Nathaniel Hackett's essentially pre fired for taking the ball out of Russell Wilson's hands. This is taking the ball attack Prescott's hands, right? Basically the same scenario, I mean, only you don't have a similar similar scenario. Yeah, yeah. I mean, your defense and look, give credit to Kyle Shanahan that forty-niners coaching staff for basically figuring out their run blocking in the second half of this game. And I was kind of wondering a half time. Are they going to have to put the ball in Brock purdy's hands a little bit more here? And not really. They figure out what they need to do up front with the cowboys, you know, moving those guys around constantly and that's what Kyle Shanahan does. And that's how this one ends up wrapping up. But it just, it felt like it was. I know that's an answer. But it just felt like it was over. As soon as they got into that fourth and ten situation, and that was just the way it was going to be. Again, I'm trying to be even though I've already turned in a column bashing the decision. I'm trying to be as equal in fairness to Mike McCarthy. I put a line in there that said that Sean Payton is not a market improvement over him. So let's not start that. I think that's a silly thing to start doing.

49ers beat Cowboys 19-12 to advance to NFC title game
"The forty-niners broke through after a low scoring first half to hold off the cowboys 19 to 12 to advance to the NFC championship game. Although it wasn't his best performance, Brock purdy was 19 of 29 for 214 yards. Play a football is not easy, so to go and to pull off a win like that against a great team like Dallas and now going to the NFC championship. It means a lot to us and for myself when I take a step back it's pretty cool. Very thankful. Christian McCaffrey had a two yard scoring run and Robbie gold kicked four field goals in the lost, dak Prescott was 23 of 37 for 206 yards, including a four yard touchdown pass to Dalton Schultz. "Yeah. Yeah, so yeah, we can stay away from that game. I guess you take the points just if you were thinking it. Right? If you can't pick, I don't know. All right, what's the next game? All right. So we do have a couple bets. 31 and 27 on the air. First one. Two team teaser. We get 6 points in each game to make the ads minus one 20. The eagles are 7 and a half point favorites over the Giants, tease that down to one and a half and the chiefs are 8 and a half point favorites over the Jaguars T is that down to two and a half. Yeah, I like that. Yeah, I feel confident that the eagles are talented enough to win that game without a completely healthy Jalen hurts. And go ahead. Also, does it feel to you like the Giants and the Jaguars won their Super Bowl last week? Yeah, it did. I mean, the Giants, the Giants getting into the playoffs. It was like an achievement considering where they started. And the same is true for the Jags. And they both have really impressive wins for different reasons last week. Really impressive wins against opponents that were flawed, but respectable opponents, but yeah, they're not expecting much. And after this, you're right. If there is some emotional reservoir, they emptied it. Yeah, they did it on the field and whatever was left. They shook out in the celebration afterwards. Both teams, both coaching staffs have to be incredibly reassured that they were able to win a high leverage game. Like just genuinely doesn't feel as high stakes for them as it does for the other playoff teams. Which is weird because if either one of them upset one of these teams would be massive story, but it just feels out of reach. Next one, dac over one and a half touchdowns. Passive touchdowns. I just think that they're playing the forty-niners. We know the forty-niners are going to score are most likely going to score less purdy start shitting the bed. I feel like that coming off is the best plan game of his career is going to keep slinging it. Yeah, I mean, hard pressed to get me to argue against dak. As much as I love this forty-niners defense, I do believe that he could get two touchdowns to get this. How many did he throw against him last year? Because they didn't score that many points last year. I mean, it's a whole different team now. I'm not sure that that should impact our betting, but yeah, if he threw four last weekend, I think it's reasonable to guess that he might throw to this week the way Dalton Schultz is playing and CD lamb. Mike, just give him one the way that he both Samuels does for anybody who's playing quarterback for forty-niners.

Prescott outshines Brady, Cowboys dominate Buccaneers 31-14
"The cowboys finally beat Tom Brady in advance to the NFC divisional round with a 31 14 round of the Buccaneers. Brady had been 7 or no lifetime against Dallas, but he was outplayed by dak Prescott as the cowboys quarterback through for 305 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions. Prescott's third TD pass made it 24 zero just under 5 minutes into the second half. Dalton Schultz had 7 receptions for 95 yards and two touchdowns to help Dallas earn a meeting with a forty-niners next weekend. Brady was 35 of 66 for 351 yards, two touchdowns and one pick. It is a final wild card matchup with the NFL playoffs right now 6 28 to go in the first quarter in Tampa Bay, the Dallas Cowboys and early 6 zero lead over the Buccaneers was a Dalton Schultz 22 year touchdown pass from dak Prescott so far, the only point. On the enforcement that your Bloomberg world sports update, Ryan. All right, Dan, thanks very much. We're coming up on 15 minutes before the top of the hour. And we are joined in our studios here in Hong Kong by Vanessa Chan, head of Asia fixed income investment directing at fidelity international. Vanessa all of a sudden, it seems, has come on us in the last month or two. It's starting to look a lot rosier for, let's say, investment grade corporate bonds in Asia. Yes, indeed. For Asia fixed income given the dominance of the Chinese issuers and ongoing impact of the China COVID policy last year, it was pretty challenging overall. However, as we move into this year, we start seeing the China reopening together with more supportive government policies. And this provides a more positive backdrop for the Chinese economy and this will actually benefit for the wider Asian region as well. So what we start seeing is for investment grade, some of the spread tightening have happened for the past couple of weeks. So the spread was a 180 and now we're probably down 140. So the spread tightening have happened. There's also a better kind of base rate because of the rate hike for the past years as well. So in that sense, we do think that investment grade really attractive on the absolute U bases and also at the same time just the potential of gradually adding on duration, which means that you can take advantage both in terms of duration risk as well as the credit risk as well. We've had the story of course that there's going to be 24 billion in refinancing support for high quality property developers as well. Can you say with any confidence that the worst is now over for that sector? I will probably break it down into three components. A lot of the financial support, if you would, be it in terms of the loan side, the debt side or even allowing some of the selected developers to issue in the equity market for refinancing for the debt debt outstanding. A lot of this are more focused or targeted on some of the high quality developers. We all know that there's a whitelist out there. There's a selective kind of a bunch of developers that will be benefit from this financial support. So that's one part of it. There's also the other part of it where some of the weaker developers are some of the ones that are already in pretty stress and distressed situation or even in default situation would probably need to go through the restructuring and default process in order to come out of the tunnel as well. The last part that also want to mention is that yes the policy responses has come in, putting on the financing side, yet we have seen yet to see some physical market rebound and this will probably take a bit longer for the physical market contract to sell to come back up again. And that's probably also hinges on the overall economic outlook because for individuals to have to propensity to buy property again, they will need to have certain confidence in regarding the economic outlook as well. Yeah, that's one big bucket property. And rather than even wait to see gains if it just stabilizes that could clear the path for other investors coming in some other areas like consumption because consumers won't get out there and do their thing. If property is tanking. So let's look at some other areas consumption being one, Macau gaming, be another. Any of those areas look particularly enticing. Yeah, I think consumption is definitely looking more and more interesting on the back of the China reopening story. There's a lot of factors that we can consider. First of all, we start seeing mobility have improved. So if you look at the kind of subway traffic, it's back to about 60 to 80% compared to 2019. If you look at the saving rate, it's actually increased from 31% to 35% now for Chinese. So in the sense they have built up certain savings, reopening and mobility does help in terms of consumption. And I think the other thing is we also see a pickup in terms of booking flights. And that would definitely benefit Macau gaming in 2023 is they do have a heavy reliance of Chinese tourists and that will help them in terms of both the gaming operation as well as some of the non gaming operations in Macau as well. Vanessa, I just want to quickly get your views on the BOJ meeting tomorrow. We've had JGB hovering above that target of half of 1%. Does that get moved higher imminently and to yields rise immediately to meet any new target? For BOJ, I think that there are still some economic consideration for BLJ. First of all, it economic is still weak. If you look at GDP number in Q three, it's -1.2% for Japan. If you look at the real wage for Japan, it's -3.8%. Yes, there's a potential inflation impact, but at the same time, a lot of this will hinge in terms of negotiation and also in April there will be a new governor in place as well. So what we anticipate is that there could be some adjustments on the policy, but we are unlikely to see a change of tone

"Chef the Adam Schefter in place. Mike tannenbaum riding shotgun in studio and I'm your host Jordan cornett filling in for Laura Rutledge. Let's get right to it, fellas. Everybody knows the rules. I read and you react that we start with Dalton Schultz. Coming off career highs in every category last season and tied with a team leading 8 touchdown receptions. Chef, what's the latest on Schultz? Well, Jordan, no deal got done between the Dallas Cowboys and the tight end Dalton Schultz who now is set to play this year on the one year $12.9 million tight end tag with $10.9 million tight end tag Schultz will be up after the season contractually speaking. And that's really appropriate to have Dalton Schultz play on a one year deal. He's a good player. He was productive last season, but he is not a dynamic game changing athlete. I wouldn't be surprised to see him play out the tag this year and move on while Dallas allocates precious resources to other positions. He's a good player, but certainly not a great player. The one tied into another dolphin's Titan might get sicky, also posted career highs, 73 receptions, 780 yards last season. Chef, he gave it to me. What's the latest? No deal here. No deal close to being done. No deal ever got close to being done here. And so Micah sikhi right now is scheduled to play this year on the one year tag and also like Dalton Schultz set to become a free ATX of the season, but he signed his franchise tender, so we'll have to be there for the start of camp. Guys, I was in Miami when we drafted Mike gazecki. He is a great athlete, but about 85% of the staff last year. He was detached from the core. He's really a wide receiver, not a great blocker, but he's a great mismatch. He's somebody that would Garner a lot of interest in the market next year. If Miami doesn't re sign after the season, he can be a difference maker, especially on third down and in the red zone. How about those boys from a jungle? Bengal safety Jesse Bates also tagged. A Bengals mainstay on defense, making 67 of a possible 69 starts in the regular season, including playoffs. Chef D Bates. Hey, Jordan, another situation in which a deal did not get done and did not really come close to getting done. And unlike the other two players, Jesse beitz has not signed his franchise tender. So he is not obligated to be a training camp when it begins he can show up whenever he wants to sign that tender. There's no pressure there, but no deal between Jesse Bates and the Cincinnati Bengals and he's a defensive leader there. He's a leader off the field, but on the field, he's extremely versatile. We saw him play close alliance scrimmage at linebacker. We've seen him play slot corner and we've seen him play traditional free safety. He is extremely versatile and very valuable to the spaniel defense. Jordan, for your Bengals to get to where they want to go. They need to keep him long-term somehow some way. Mike T you get my co signature for what it's worth. Finally, chiefs versatile tackle Orlando Brown junior made the Pro Bowl. Each of the last three seasons, he's moved to that left tackle position probably because he wants that money that comes with it. Chef, what's the latest on Brown? Well, Jordan, the chiefs offered him a 6 year $139 million extension that included over $30 million in guaranteed money. He did not take the deal. He did not get an extension done. And so today's deadline for franchise players was about as eventful as the supplemental draft this year and there is no supplemental draft this year. Four players eligible for deals, none got done. Again, sort of like watching you supplemental draft. Yeah. Look, I'm a little surprised to have this thing get done Orlando Brown is a good tackle. He's not a great tackle. If there was meaningful guaranteed money in the software, which I'm sure there was, I would have taken it if I was him because I can't imagine someone's going to give him that much of a bigger deal on the market next year. If I'm Kansas City, I am planning for his replacement and I'm drafting attacker early next year in the draft and letting him move on. Nothing personal. Just business. Speaking of elite guys up front offensively. Over the last two weeks, Jeremy Fowler has been releasing the top ten by position. According to a survey of league execs, coaches scalps and players. Today was a final position, offensive tackle. San Francis Trent Williams, Thompson list getting nearly 80% of the first place votes right behind him. Tom Brady shield 23 year old Tristan worse from the bucks. Mike, take a look at that list. What draws your intrigue? To me, what's really interesting, guys, is the age of these players over half of them are 30 years old or older. So it just shows you that if you have the ability and understand the nuance of playing tackle, you can play at a high level for a long time. One name that to me, I was surprised to make the list guys. Jordan mulatta, who really has a very atypical background, didn't play college football. It was somebody that the eagles drafted late in the 7th round. To me, he is a guy that has all the physical Billy in the world, and he's just gonna get better and better. We're seeing him here. He plays with nasty demeanor, he's tough, he's smart, and he's only gonna get better. I know how much they like him. And I think he will be somebody when we're talking about this list and years to come. He could actually work his way Jordan into the top 5. Well, let's stay with those eagles and they placed three players in the positional top ten all coming on the offensive side of the ball too offensive lineman, lane Johnson and Jason Kelsey along with tight end Dallas coder. Two more offensive players honorable mention. New receiver AJ Brown in the aforementioned tackle, my lada. So as you look at this, so much around Jalen hurts, how much of the pressure inevitably falls on the off talked about signal caller. There's a lot of pressure on Jalen hurts because they've done such a good job of surrounding him with so many productive weapons, but at the end of the day, Jordan, he's not good enough. And here's why. When the ball travels 20 yards or more down the field, he's only completing about 37.9% of those passes. And that's 20th in the NFL and I promise you guys, if I know that, opposing defensive coordinators know that. And what that does is it shrinks the field and you can impact your spacing from a defensive standpoint. It's just hard to complete the ball. So we need to see Jalen hurts get the ball down the field. More accurately consistently, if he can do that, this offense can take the next step. Well, Philadelphia Mike needs to see him get the ball downfield more accurately. And I think that they believe that either he can do that this year and they're going to ride with him and if he shows he can't, then they're set up next year to potentially go find his successor because even though this team moved up the board on draft night and even though it traded for AJ Brown, it still left itself with enough picks and enough ammunition to go out and maneuver around the draft next year if that's what the eagles need to do for a quarterback. But that's for a future day. What their hope is is that right now that Jalen hurts surrounded by all this offensive firepower and there's as much offensive firepower here as there is on just about any team in the NFC that he will take the next step like the rest of this team prove he's worthy of being the face of the franchise, the quarterback of the future and Philadelphia could continue to ride with Jalen hurts. There's a great scouting axiom that applies here, which is the tape sets the floor and character sets the ceiling, meeting, will a player maximize his ability. Jalen hurts his character is off the charts. So whatever he has, they're going to get this year has a really good offensive coach and Nick Siri. It's going to be great to watch this year. Can he actually develop and take the next step? I agree with what Adam said, which is multiple first round picks. Now, if you're Philadelphia, you're dealing from a position of strength, you're not locked into jail and hurts long term. Next year's draft looks like it's going to have a lot of good quarterbacks. So you have a lot of optionality as a season goes on. Well, piggybacking off that Mike T is you talk about character. I mean, the captain lane Johnson and speaking about hurts, pontificated on his poise, his leadership is professionalism and says, he demands respect. So I heard you earlier today talking about that Prescott and the character there and how those intangibles matter, it seems like they've got that all the way in spades when you talk about their quarterback in Jalen hurts. So reason to be optimistic there. All right, we've got a developing story here on NFL live. Regarding the Houston Texans and deshaun Watson, for more, we bring in chef, he wants more. What is the latest here?

"To the league salary cap numbers, but they're just never right. And they're never updated. Jason it over the cap does the lord's work. It actually puts in the effective cap space, so we don't have to sit there with, you know, calculators for half of our day. So God bless you, Jason. Thank you. But yeah, Miami is really interesting to me because Mike McDaniels, their new head coach, is Kyle Shanahan's run guru and has been forever and is sort of the secret sauce behind that outside zone offense. I think there's a big reason why you saw the forty-niners run out and get Anthony Lynn who actually was a running back in that offense to try to replace him and get some of that institutional knowledge back. But here's what I'm looking for and I'm curious kind of your take on this, like when we saw Kyle, when we saw Kyle going to San Francisco, they were super aggressive in free agency, but in weird places, right? Like they needed Kyle used check, right, to make everything work. When we saw Matt Lafleur go to Green Bay, they wanted guys like marcedes Lewis. And there's all these very specific players that they need that are extremely important. Like if marcedes Lewis got hurt, the packers would have been SOL. And if Kyle used check got hurt, in addition to George kittle, the forty-niners would have won like four games last year. And I think that there are these players that they desperately depend on to make the outside zone work and I'm really interested to see now because Nathaniel Hackett's got a job somewhere. Mike mcdaniel's got a job somewhere. Like, half the league is running this offense now. And the other half is trying to still figure out how to run it without any of the guys to run it, basically. It's like you can go back 6 years and look at what happened to the Seattle defense. You know, getting those long cornerbacks who weren't necessarily burners, but the long arm guys were kind of the market inefficiency. They had found with that covered three style defense that they played. And then as we move through kind of the late 2010s, everyone kind of wanted those guys, not literally everyone, but most teams wanted those guys. Now that's a little more broad because cornerback is just sort of a purely reactionary position and being being a big guy is helpful anyway. But it is really interesting because there's, I mean, and I guess that's kind of the problem with picking off the coaching tree. You want to do it, but at the same time it's like, okay, well, now we have to get those kinds of players in here, and there are only so many of them. There are only so many Kyle used chicks. There are only so many. I mean, even the offensive lineman who, you know, they need those quick nibble offensive linemen. The forty-niners have kind of a loose sort of metric analytics sort of approach to what they're looking for as far as size and some of the testing numbers in their offensive lineman. And there's only, there's only so many of those guys out there. Yeah, and what's really interesting to me, I mean tight end is so it's so central to this whole thing, right? And I'm looking at you look at the free agent list that you have so artfully put together for our website. And the best, I don't know. I mean, where are the great, where are the great blocking tight ends on this list? I mean, Dalton Schultz, but other than that, you know, I don't really know where you're going. And that is something you have to have. So I'm thinking about like mcdaniel and David and, not really a blocker. Either. So I don't know, you're going to spend, you can plunk $14 million on the table for Dalton Schultz. Are you going to CJ uzama is probably someone that I like as a blocker and absolutely destroyed some people in the Bengals backfield this year. But other than that, there's no, it's hard to come from George kittle, who basically revolutionized the position. And I'm not saying that Mike mcdaniel is not going to be able to figure it out. But I'm just saying you do need these certain guys and are all these guys going to be bidding against one another for the sort of the scraps on the market. What was the Moneyball, the movie? What was the guy who threw funny, the reliever, the submarine reliever? Oh, I should know this because his actual baseball. And I used to know baseball back then. But I didn't know it. Bradford? Oh, Chad Bradford, yeah. Chad Bradford, yeah, so now we're all looking for Chad Bradford. Instead of just having a bunch of Chad Bradford's lying around, you know? Oh man, it's not a good band name. It's good album name though. We're all looking for Chad Bradford. Just like a morose woodsy cover, you know. But I don't know, 'cause this team needs a lot of work, right? Just taking a look at the roster, you're an awful. I mean, Brian Flores got blown up during this whole thing, but like Chris Greer could not put an offensive line together in 7 years. This is a bad offensive line. It's not a good offensive line. It's still not a good offensive line. You're okay at wide receiver. You're pretty decent on the back end of your defense, but that was also because Brian Flores was your coach. And the half of your defensive line is pretty bad, you know? Half of it's pretty good. So, but if I'm Mike mcdaniel, it's like, okay, well none of this works if we can't run the ball. So that's like one and one a is like we have to figure out how to make this happen. Yeah, it's gonna be a really interesting there. And it is a good point with the defensive line. I mean, they held together pretty well defensively last year, and they are keeping Josh Boyer there, but gosh, a lot of this was sort of Brian Flores in his creativity and the way they sort of worked around the fact that they don't have dynamic guys. I mean, it's a page read style defense. They didn't invest big money to get sort of the game changing superstar type of pass rushers that you have in a lot of spots. So you have to come up with different solutions there. And we'll see what happens defensively. But yeah, that offensive line is just circled and starred and highlighted and however else you want to do it because they've just they've with time and time again in the draft. And now you probably got to go out and shop in free agency or this is supposed to be you're trying to get a read onto a tongue of Iowa before you have to decide to commit or not commit and they're committed to them for this year..

Behind the Bets
"dalton schultz" Discussed on Behind the Bets
"Said this before, I like Tony Pollard. If I'm the general manager of the Dallas Cowboys, I'm not paying Ezekiel Elliott all that money. I think Tony Pollard could carry carry the load. And he's a lot better in the passing game as well. So I think we're going to see less, I think we're going to see a Zeke. Ezekiel Elliott, I think we're going to see him on a pitch count. I think we're going to see a lot more Tony Pollard tonight. I think he's going to get more volume. And again, the saints, they're great against the run. In the last two years, running backs only average, less than less than four yards per carry against the saints defense. This is what they pride themselves on. The only team that I was able to see run effectively against the saints in the last two years was the eagles. So I'm going under 68 and a half rushing and receiving yards for Zika, you get that at minus one 15 and also I think Dallas knows the only way that you're gonna be able to beat the saints is to pass the ball. So I think dak chucks The Rock a lot is you pointed out, you know, Amari Cooper is supposed to be active. Again, how active and attractive is he going to be? We're hearing that he's still feeling the ill effects of COVID-19. I do like the fact that when Amari Cooper is in CD lamb, then moves to the slot. He plays the slot 80% of the time. I think he's going to get a lot of targets. And you know he's good for yards after the catch as well. So I think they passed the ball a lot, so I'm going dak Prescott over 35 and a half passing attempts. So those are my two favorite Dallas prop bets heading into the game. Yeah, I got three and they correlate with what you were saying. I'm gonna play Zeke under 45 and a half rushing yards. He's averaging just a shade, 3.06 over three yards per carry over his last three games. New Orleans, meanwhile, has the best run defense in the NFL, allowing his 3.24 yards per carry it allowed. You couple the fact that I agree with you, I think Tony powers the more explosive runner. At this point in the season, he'll vulture some touches, New Orleans is a pass funnel anyways. So like you said, the cowboys should. If they're coaching smartly, attack this defense, not with running the football even though they have two good running backs and a good offensive line, but they should put the ball in Dax hands and let back make plays. So I'm playing Zeke under 45 and a half rushing yards. I'm playing Tony Pollard over 16 and a half receiving yards because I think Pollard again should be almost feel a little bit more. The touches for these running back should come in the past game, more show than it should come in the run game and Pollard has cleared this mark at least having 17 receiving yards in 8 of the 11 games. He has played this season. So slightly under 80% that he's gone over 17 receiving yards and then Dalton Schultz, dynamic tight end. Has been really, really good this season doesn't have much competition at that position with Blake jarwin on the shelf, but CD lamb, Michael Gallup, Amari Cooper, plus those running backs all together for the first time in this offense all season long. So I'm gonna play Dalton Schultz under three and a half receptions at plus one 30. As long as it stays a juicy return at plus one 30, I'll play this. But again, all these guys are available now for dak to throw the football to the target distribution is not concentrated. It's spread out now and New Orleans is really, really dynamic at defending tight ends because they have really good athletic linebackers that just match up well with tight ends in this league because they can cover athletic players like Dalton Schultz. So Zeke under 45 and a half Russian yards powered over 16 and a half receiving yards, Dalton Schultz plus one 30 under three and a half receptions to the New Orleans side of the equation. What do you like for the home team and far the prop market is concerned? No surprise here, Taysom Hill overnight. Unfortunate yards. I stop you right there. I agree. It's written down on my play sheet as well. Taysom Hill over 36 and a half rushing yards. Surprise, surprise. And anytime touchdown that you can get at plus one 27, he had four filling starts last season for Drew Brees. He ran the ball 39 times. He had four rushing touchdowns. And, you know, he brings as we know. He brings a different element, a different offense that Sean Payton schemes for Sean Payton, one of the best in the business when it comes to that. And as I said earlier, listen, this is an audition for the for next season. Dude, we're talking about $12 million more per year in his contract. If he gets that starting quarterback job through 2025, so a lot is on the line for Taysom Hill tonight. I think he balls out. So again, over 36 and a half rushing yards in any time touched down at plus one 27. All right. We agree about Taysom. Only other one I'm gonna add on the New Orleans side is wide receiver tra Kwan Smith under 40 and a half receiving yards..

Of shalt it's very very close. Fryer abusers schultz schultz firemen. Yeah shiraz matchup worse than famous. Bravo's have touched on. Tanya they have faced mark andrews five catches sixty seven yards. Darren waller five catches fifty nine yards. Ricky seals jones to catches twelve yards. Those are the noteworthy ones. They've played so that's pretty. Good against andrew waller okay dallas. The tea is oh. This was the wide he. This was low and too low on the dallas. You have them seventeenth jamie as an eighth. Dave hasn't v. that was it. okay. I still going to stick the broncos. I still gonna stay Stick with the saints as the as the team. You're too low on but cowboys to jump out of me. All right i got a cup. A how many games do we have left. Probably ten buffalo at jacksonville. All right start all bills. Sit all jags unless robinson place. What if it's carlos hyde you know you can have it lot of touches any interest. What's your what's your interest level in him. Desperation flex by maybe i would be maybe a slightly more kind. Maybe the high end flex play. Where do you zach moss. this week. right around twenty. Yep yep up just Ahead of Daryl williams and the broncos right. I mean this sets up well for him. He's the fourth quarter guy. Hopefully he can score. He's been involved in the passing game. Two of the last three games but right the only concern. I would have is if they don't throw him the ball because he's never. He's always been blow four yards per carry. I think and jags have not given up yards per bay of been very focused on keeping that rushing defense in the top five. Yeah look you talked about it last week right. You didn't like alex collins because we established this that the jaguars have a good run defense but they give up fantasy points to running backs because they have a bad defense and you were thinking well. It's not like the vikings. There's not like the seahawks. Have this great offense and so collins. That's the difference. The bills do right right. So that's i think you probably need that touchdown from from moss. Hopefully you get you might get to you. never know. that's the nicely. I think have two different outs. He could score the touchdown or he could get the six targets again. Either one of those gonna make him a number two running back. Okay so why okay. So then i know you're gonna say moss but jamie mosser Boston scott oem back to back Moth okay zach. Moss or james connor moss moss.

"He needs a long touchdown. He's gonna stink. I think he's better than that. But we've seen dalton schultz really step up in this offense. He started to take work away from everybody in there. And i don't think he's going away so the cowboys has had this unbelievable embarrassment of riches in their passing game and They're getting michael gallup back on top of it. Yeah it i'm i. Hesitate a little to start amari cooper each week. But i figure that there's probably other receivers on the team that i just can't trust as much a seven on cooper a six on lamb and a six on-deck The vote the pass volume is just almost disappeared and they've not really been a team that throws thirty percent of their passes to their number one number two wide receivers. It stayed pretty constant around twenty percent. I'm i'm worried if we're talking about relative to where redrafted i'm worried about Lamb cooper and dak not meeting draft expectations. And just on something else. We speculated on the bengals are negative two minutes per game in. I'm a possession not near as bad as seattle who is negative ten thirty amazing amazing new so gina smith one other problem. Well chris a good point about that. I mean russell wilson so efficient and they do connect on those big plays that gina smith might actually help their time of possession and they might run more plays i think they have the fewest in the nfl. The seahawks the cowboy schedule. They do not have a lot of good offenses that they're facing patriots than a by minnesota denver atlanta kansas city. That's the immediate future. I don't know that they're going to be throwing much in some of these games so All right so. We davis not quite as worried as heath is. But there's still some concern. There next is from thai cub. He is worried. About deontay. johnson and higgins are. Are you guys basically zero on deontay. Johnson worry ometer. Yeah all goes out. I'll go one on the andre johnson. Just because i don't understand why he. No i'm gonna go three andre johnson. He said he's been hurt like seventeen times over the last two years. So that's always a little bit of a worry and the fact. He had to targets last week. Is i have no explanation for it whatsoever. Yeah all right. But we're not but he's a must start in his usually usually gets his double digit targets from ben only through twenty five passes last week. He's he's he was forty or more. Each of the previous. Three t higgins. Worry ometer on t. higgins five. There's there's a concern that there will be games where Chases the one in tyler. Boyd is the two and t higgins three. There are concerns that the bengals stay. Run heavy and slow. And so if higgins if chases getting twenty five percent of the targets twenty percent of thirty passage six targets game and that's not a starting wide receiver. I don't see higgins an explosive receiver either. He doesn't make a ton of huge. Plays downfield. I think as long as play the year. He does have a twenty eight yard or he's a perimeter receiver that needs touchdowns in order to come through. And he's not getting the volume that you like. I'm more worried about higgins than i am a mark cooper higgins. One good thing is it's really small sample but he does lead the team in red zone and green targets but they just haven't thrown that many but that's missing two games..

And i think he could come close to that weekend and we got. I trust him. If you're streaming the tight end position after that It's ugly jamie. Maybe you've got somebody who's better than ricky sequels jones. Our evan ingram. I'm not really feeling those guys Although it does look like heineke as the thing for throwing for two seals jones Yes he'll jones is I think runaround on almost every drawback that heineke has in the last two games that thomas had missed So that's something by now. You have heard samuel Missing time with groin injury so that should help You know if if you wanna buy into joko. I don't know what to tell you you know. He had the decent game in week one when he had Three cats as for seventy six yards after that he combined for forecasters for thirty four yards on five targets in his next three games. So he's he's shown you at least already the season that he can disappear after one strong performance. But you know. They're looking for something because odell beckham not getting it done. So people's jones in rashard higgins and now new joke you know. Maybe this is a jumping off point but for me the top. We would be henry. Arnold and ngos don't i wonder if we are reaching a point at tight end where it's going to be kind of static you know dalton schultz dawson knocks of entered. Must start territory You got logan thomas. He's out at least two more weeks. He's sixty six percent rostered. But i just don't know who's gonna emerge at this point. I'd i'd i don't know i i couldn't believe how bad the tight end waiver. Wireless was this week. Which is not an insult to you jamie. I mean it's not it's not your fault. I'm just saying it's just options blue. I didn't mean to say as if you made a bad list. I'm just saying it's the options are so bad out there. And i hope you have your tight end Because i can't even think of like a prolific offense that could produce Tight end they ca- that's maybe onion gets back in the mix or something like that i. It's bad i mean tons the same guy weakened and we you're hoping he catches a touchdown that's why you start them and there's a bunch of tight ends. That are like that off the waiver. Wire for all we know. That's what hunter henry is. We just like that. There's a lot of targets attached to them for now by the way new jokue the seven targets the ad the most targets. He's had in an nfl game since september of twenty nineteen antonio. He has eight or fewer yards in four or five games. I mean that is taking touchdown. Her bus to an extreme pardew outside..

"Finish up the podcast. Let's talk about some buyer sells dynasty addition. I think we went running backs. Receivers the last time so vacs in tight end some guys that you're buying renowned ghazi you're selling. I want your opinion. This guy for stolen You've seen with what we talked about him a little bit. So we'll just real quickly. Do you think with last couple of weeks. He has trying to buy an. We're actually trying to sell him. Yeah i mean dalton shoulders. Somebody i mean. The problem is i personally. Don't want to buy a tight end. That's in a too tight end offense. So i i wouldn't want to buy as a zach or dallas scott. I wouldn't wanna buy blake. Darwin winnner adult in scholtz I'm i'm looking more for a tight ends that are going to have more of an exclusive target share in those offenses by i mean something that sort of brings them back into fancy relevancy as if they're in a a offense that's going to be highly productive so i mean maximums in the cardinals. Offense has been an outstanding fantasy producer. So far this season. And that's because the cardinals have such an explosive offense Dalton schultz and blake would have both had pretty good seasons this year. And it's because dak prescott throws the ball so much. So i mean i think because of that you can sort of make some exceptions sometimes for these tight ends so donald schultz. If he's if he's somebody that some someone's looking to sell in my league for nada. Very you know heavy price. I would be interested in acquiring him especially if i don't have one of the big names at tight end that you're kind of forced to start each week. But yeah i mean he and he's still me still relatively young. So he's he's somebody that i would i would look to buy. But if he's if he's somebody that i own and there's a person out there that's really looking for him in really interested in willing to pay a high price forum than i would definitely be willing to move him for. I'd say right now. Trade by as far as picks. Because that's kinda like breaking down. I don't think he's a second. I don't disagree. You might be worth on early third. So i'm probably if i have probably gonna keep hold on him. I might actually be interested in buying it. Just because later on the season continues his trajectory. You won't be able to get him for a cheap price. he's probably go into second round. Pick mangin another guy that's been really interesting dawson knocks. He's had a great season so far. Also knocks is a guy. That envelope Because i know they've been cleaning up a lot of points. The last three weeks thirty five reported. I mean joss allemand. He's is cooking this season. But i'm not sure sure because we've seen kobe veasley emmanuel sanders. All these guys have success..

"That's hurting cooper an laugh so so let's talk about how value them of season than what do you think. A first of all is it easy to say. Dj more to stay in. This game dj. Moore's ahead of them. Yes and robbie. Anderson does not know robby robby targets. Though so i i. I don't know how fantasy managers are truly gonna feel but my hunch that many of them will cut him and that you will see robbie on the waiver wire and a bunch of league. What about tyler lockett. Too great game. Start the season to crap games in a row. Now so who do you. Like better cooper lamb. Lock it it cooper lamb. I think i'm gonna go lock it. Lamb cooper all right. How about deebo samuel or cowboys. Wide receiver cooper lamb. I think i think i have to say deebo. Lamb cooper and. I do think there are people who have deebo samuel or mike williams who might sing especially mike willing to the bad game this week. Who might think that they are really selling high on depot where mike williams getting 'em for them and so if we're saying that that's the way that you could get what you get for them now and this is a bit of a separate subject but mike williams and deebo are totally separate to me. I mike williams feels so much more legit and sustainable than deebo. In the way i see anyway yes well again. We'll see for game. But i think so. Yes if his fourth game is six targets with four catches for sixty yards than it's going to feel different. Maybe but i just just the situations this. it's the faith in herbert. Basically compared to the faith in the forty niners passing game but but i digress drop robbie anderson. He did have eleven targets he and he and dj more were the only players on the team with more than five targets so drop her stash. Robbie anderson i think he's a drop candidate not somebody that you should absolutely get off your team if you need the roster spot if there's somebody off the waiver wire the you like better you make the move. I think we've got. We set the bar the beginning of the show. So i would draw him before miles gaskin and juju but i would drop brandon euch before him last question on this game dalton schultz. I think you already answered. This will make answered again. Dalton schultz dawson knox and. Throw one more guy in there. No fans how would you rank them. Fanshawe i showed second knocks. Third all right. Do you want the running snaps for these games. Adam only if you think they are super relevant shuba hubbard forty seven percent of the snaps rod smith. Thirty seven percent of the snaps. All of rod smith snaps were passed plays. So it's just terrible for it's really bad for if if offers second down back on this team that's not good. Yeah hopefully hopefully only one more game. Kansas city forty to philadelphia house. All your fab ally mitchell and juba hubbard managers. Kansas city forty to philadelphia rude here. We didn't know that ally mitchell shoulder was gonna fall off. He's still stunk against the eagles. You know it's true. Okay all right. Sorry fab on if you need. Listen not not that. I went out and spent ninety percent of my fab on either of these guys. I couldn't bid. I put a bid for for chubu's probably in the thirties or something but leave it or not kenneth gain. Well is the best running back on. The eagles. recipes rolled my eyes at that went on twitter..

"Too many times. But when i am when i am by on beverages every night all of a sudden that i sound like doors ron. I'm a video of it unless you want to do right now for the people i feel like you should. I have done not have enough liquid courage that i can do. You know rendition for you okay. let's hear it. What tag is ivan junkie. I we went to lsu ut game and we all know how that ended up three sheets to the wind at that point. It was very liquid. We were all liquidated Basically i ask. Because i knew i was sitting by derek eagleton's house like i should be on better behavior but i i started i drink. Watch the game. The white clause told you otherwise. The game i was having great vinson. I drink water. She walks up to me at this tailgate. We're at and i don't know what i was doing. Besides i don't know being dumb and does this meeting everyone in their moms and being like let's be best friends yet and she does this ed or zahran impression and i just was. I was slain. I was deceased. I was i was not ready me in. The white cloud said it with our whole chest so like that. Was that what i gave you right. There was nothing but listen. I know my team didn't win day but that moment itself was a victory for thank you all right. Well you know. Yeah yeah yeah number. Three i digress. Yeah you're up it me okay. Let's see number three. I have the strip sack of drew brees in the twenty eighteen matchup whenever you say strip sacked. I always think of strip sack. Mila when von miller in that strip poker so. I'm glad that you have will not dirty mind. So where's your brain. My gal apparently strip poker. I don't know and fulfilling some of our listeners are not complaining but continue it was. I was like reliving this moment. I looked at a couple of different like breakdowns of it. And i think the best one was drew. Brees sack party gives cowboys chance you view. That reminds you anything about how that game went like everyone was getting a piece of the pie. They're like we were out here. Knocking over drew brees that they woke up and they were like today is the day i hit some bitches and eli led the charge on that for sure. Well it was cool too. Because i mean this is the game again. We feel like we stand a lot of people because to ers as individuals podcast. I want everyone to win. It was dalton schultz's verse first touchdown of his career The the saints were like unstoppable. Right i think they're averaging thirty seven point nine points or something like that. I was reading You know per per game in offense in and they had won the ten straight in this no one could do anything about it and again de la that week was like on and lo and behold not only does the defense like have a fucking game like they're like nah were like we. Don't care sean. Payton we literally do not care that you are sean payton. You're incredible and you're gonna go down in history not tonight. They held him to one hundred and seventy six yards. And that's literally the fewest yards. They've ever been held to since two thousand one but it was just like it was it was just like a next level out of left field performance and as we all know like this even it this was. This was the rod marinelli days so they definitely had their moments in time. That were the positive. But this defense is struggled you more consistently than ny instead of have a performance like this against a team like that was just kind of legendary will and if you think about think the fourth quarter speaking of people we stand like randy gregory was he was having a game they were just they were going off. They were in rare form for how they were at that point And just brandy gregory. His third sack of the day. So crazy He stripped the ball and demarcus lawrence recovered it so they that brought them like up to what was twenty one fourteen which ended up being the final score de las solidified. It with a sack in like the last fifteen something like it was club dwindling down. He sealed the deal like do. I had a game in. He boosted everybody around him. It was sick nasty support for this episode comes from locker room the app. That's changing the way we talk. Sports locker room is sports. Fans dream come true. "Garrett on wild card weekend because they wanted to steal the spotlight. Jerry Jones. That's a mad scientist because what he calculated in this game to get that attention was pure brilliance. Here's suck, Gilb. Is it more drama with the Dallas Cowboys? What did surprise may Jerry Jones probably saw this video said, Huh? Is that that Prescott in the video, not take him out? We don't want that Prescott in the video. I'm about to negotiate and remember. Oh, I think it was a year ago. But we had Jerry Jones talk about how you need to get Your bachelor's degree before you get your master's degree and the importance that you could learn things from the initial stages in college, which the bachelor's degree that could help you when you eventually get your master's degree in something and how he knows with all these negotiations that if you're in the forest And if your hand gets cut up, you could stitch up that hand. And you know what? A stitch up that hand? Not necessarily because you're a master at something, but what you knew in the initial stages, huh? Yeah. That's how Jerry Jones was talking about the Dak Prescott contract situation a year ago how he's been in so many contract negotiations that he knows how to win these negotiations. And then he basically lost all the leverage because, he said, this is a deal that I know I have to do. Really? That's the deal that you know you had to do. Well, why didn't you get the deal done with Dak Prescott last off season and the confusing thing to may. I think to me that I am still just very mystified by with the whole Dak Prescott contract situation. It's not is it? The Cowboys don't believe in him. They offered him more years. They wanted to take the five year deal at the 35 $36 million. They offered him over 100 of it guaranteed, So this was not the Cowboys saying. Hey, we're only gonna give you $28 million Hey, we're only going to give you three years now. They said 35 36 million and Oh, yeah, We want you here for five years and Dak wanted the four year contract. Have this gripe. And to have this play out so publicly now well over a year with your quote unquote franchise quarterback. I don't get this. So here's what I'm referencing. And do I think this is an enormous deal? No, I do not. But it's the Cowboys. We liked to have fun at the expense of the Cowboys, and just the small, tiny, teeny, tiny, teeny, tiny chance That this was intentional. You got to talk about it. Maybe it was intentional. Because of how much the Cowboys are associated with drama. It would not surprise me if it was intentional. So the Dallas Cowboys first off why they're releasing a video now makes no sense to me. No, the season just ended. And you're trying to have one of those social media pushes. Oh, our 2021 season our quest for championship it starts right now. Because Cowboys fans haven't been in the big game since 1995. So I guess they're missing what it's feeling this time of the year, so you have to give him something to look forward to in February. So we need a premature hyped video. When you don't even know really Who's going to be on the team for the 2021 season and I'm watching this video. Actually, a buddy of mine texted it to me and he goes. Watch this video. Tell me if you find anything bizarre about it. And I watch it the first time and because I'm not always the most astute person in the world. I said, What's What's bizarre about this. So 35 42nd video prematurely. Get ready for Dallas Cowboys football for the 2021 season, the 2021 season starts right now. He goes, Watch it again. Tell me if you don't see anyone in the video So I'm slowing this thing down. I'm pausing it at the four second mark the 11 2nd Mark the 14 2nd Mark and I go, Huh? With that little hint. Notice of anyone's missing. I go. I don't see that Prescott. Now, Dak Prescott did not play in a bevy of games this year because of the horrifying injury that he did suffer. But you have Dak Prescott footage because when the team was losing early on the season, it wasn't bad Press Scott's fault They were putting up a prodigious amount of points each and every week. Your defense, though. Look like Swiss cheese a lot of holes in that defense. So I went back. I looked at the names that were actually the video CD lamb worthy of being in the video. Jalen Smith. All right. We've got a contract extension worthy of being in the video. Then I see guys like Darian Thompson, the safety Don't lie Safety. Nothing special. See Dalton Schultz in the video. But we don't have that Prescott. Hmm. Interesting curb Your enthusiasm didn't didn't didn't and and then and then and then and then and 29,000 and 10 and 10. Is there a little stare off coming here between Jerry Jones and Dak Prescott? You know, you really get a slap in with the franchise tag again and not get a long term deal done. Are you really going to do that? I would say no right, like it wouldn't surprise me that given the franchise tag, but you gotta think they're going to get a deal done. But then yet again. Don't you think they were going to get a deal done last year, and they didn't Are you going to treat someone that you love? Some of that you think is your future Someone that could be your next franchise quarterback for the next? What 8 to 10 years. If he has his health, if not more than that. And Dad still has a long ways to go. I think that at times shows you he could be a top 10 quarterback in this league. I think he's hovering right on that 10 line, though. Some weeks, he goes past it some weeks. He's not quite in the top 10. But I put that Prescott of what anywhere between nine to let's say 13 is the range. There's been some games or he's shown you. Hey, I could be a top five quarterback. But you got to see a little bit more consistently. He's a good quarterback. There's been some consistency on the level of good. I need to see him take it up to the next level being great. The Dallas Cowboys have already told you we think he could be a great quarterback with the offer that they gave him last year. And you're still not getting this deal done. So the longer this goes on, it just gives more value to a story like this as a name as it may sound. All the cowboys. No way they intentionally left Dak Prescott out of the video. Do you doubt.

"What about the last and final elimination today is most disappointing to you. What part? May We lost the football game that we knew we needed to win. I mean, that's that's the disappointment. Dallas Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy, probably happy he won't have to answer any more questions for a while from the media. About this disaster of a season. That was 2020 good morning from our WB. AP Sports Chess Game Steve Lamb McCarthy replace Jason Garrett back in 2020, with an experienced quarterback toe lead an explosive offense. When Dak Prescott got hurt. The cowboy season went south in a hurry with one loss after another. But yet there they were yesterday with a chance to get into the playoffs. All they had to do was beat the Giants, and they needed the Eagles to beat the Washington football team. Neither of which happened. Obviously, we've had a about every kind of adversity that you can ask for throughout the season, and I mean I love the way that we responded, especially down the stretch came down to one game the end at the end of the day. We just didn't make enough plays the to get it done. But, you know, I think nobody's hanging her head about it. I mean, if anything, I think it gives us a little bit ammunition and Gives us a little bit of Dr Toe push that much further in the off season and get back to a next year tight tight in Dalton Schultz, who turned out to be Andy Dalton's favorite target yesterday, seven receptions for 70 yards. But Dallas loses the game 23 to 19 having to play catch up on a sloppy and cold feel in East Rutherford, New Jersey, and the end their season with six wins. In 10 losses Last time, the Cowboys were six and 10 back in 2010 when Wade Phillips was the coach before he was fired. Replaced by Jason Garrett. And I've got a friend who is an A and M fan and send lamb if you don't mention my Aggies on Monday morning. I'm going to be upset. How about Texas, saying him beating North Carolina in the Orange Bowl 41 to 27 would much rather seeing them play in the Rose Bowl against Alabama. On Friday at 18 T Stadium that you checked on sports. I'm Steve Lamb. Drive home this afternoon at five with the Constitutionalist Mark Levin now the morning news with Al J and Brian Estrich on news to allocate 20 tell them you'll be a P w b a..

Cowboys vs. Eagles score: Michael Gallup leads aerial assault against Philadelphia, keeps Dallas alive in NFC East
"Dallas cowboys ended the philadelphia eagles season on sunday afternoon at. At and t. stadium. That's right the eagles now with only four wins with only one game left even though the cowboys will need some help from them. The philadelphia eagles are officially done. And we'll have to look forward to two thousand and twenty one when their quarterback will be jalen hurts full-time or carson wentz. Who knows there's a lot to get into as it as it relates to this game again so many things happen. Let's start the first highlight to show you here. If you're watching on youtube sean. Jackson did indeed have an eighty one yard touchdown. Jalen hurts finds him about six minutes left in the first quarter. Just absolutely rose. We had absolutely chance. This is the type of thing that we've grown accustomed to seeing. Unfortunately from sean jackson he has gotten the better end of the cowboys for a long time over a decade. Schon jackson has been shown the cowboys now with multiple quarterbacks in multiple home stadiums schon jackson has had success. I'll give it to him that. At least this time. He remembered to score the touchdown and not fumbled the ball right in front of the goal line. Let's keep on. Let's get to some more happy. Highlights and michael gallup who was in contention for our star of the game. His first touchdown was a beauty as the second quarter. Began getting the cowboys. Back in the mix narrowing the margin. Fourteen to ten michael gallup like i said look at that elite camera work from fox. We'll talk about that in a second. Michael gallup quickly got to work. He had a big gain a little bit after a few minutes later. Look at this starting his own thirty five running down the sideline a bunch of eagles chasing him. Michael gallup doing all the work doing all the work doing all the work and then speaking of work you know the cowboys as we all know they like to feed ezekiel elliott. This was later on that possession the cowboys trailing fourteen. Ten and ezekiel elliott. There's no video of this so apologies. If you're watching on youtube you can see our freeze frame image. A looked like ezekiel elliott. Who had a really great game really looked like he scored on. This place is a bad angles from the tv copy but to me to my naked eye it looks like zeke. Elliott is over the line. I think that that's a touchdown. Zeke mike mccarthy did not challenge this. The cowboys wound up settling for fuel narrowing the margin fourteen to thirteen. They would ultimately start their climb back and they're ferocious. Climb back in fact. Let's get to that. Climb another michael gallup touched down here at the end of the first half andy dalton not even messing around just looking right for him and michael gallup again just a superstar a true wide receiver. One cowbys have three of them. Dalton schultz you can see very happy for his teammate. This was a phenomenal performance by michael gap
