"Jody, 20 to 40 seconds. Something like that. So they're almost like they're America's firemen now. There has to be one on call. I was once tuned into my radio one day. To Stephanie Miller. Doesn't she have a dalmatian? Comes a lady she is terrible when she breaks down again you know why the banks ask you just one way they say you want space free courtroom and of course Chicago sexy liberal. This Saturday with representative dankowski. Thank you for return appearances. Good morning prosecutor. Good morning. We're really looking forward to Saturday night. And my being way beyond my comfort zone. Really, live on stage. Oh my God. I just occurred to me that you have a dalmatian because don't you feel like America's firemen and women because you just we need a legal analysis every 20 seconds for something the whole trope has done, right? Never thought of it that way, but as soon as you said it this morning, I was like, yeah, that is how we feel. It is amazing how many issues we could talk about. Every week, it's a question of how many, you know, things should we disband and what should we talk about in the few minutes we have? Just horrible. It seemed like the Trump crime industry, though, seriously, is one that just never ends. MSNBC or I call you guys slide down the fire pole. To get back on TV to explain something. The legality of something in his presidency is over, but this just goes on and on, right? Yeah, I thought we would stop being so busy once he was out of office. Who knew that he'd commit even more and horrible or is that a word or a crime? More horrible crimes. Yeah. Out of office and threaten our democracy. I'm into the election count act reform right now I think that's one of the most important things we can do to preserve democracies to make sure that corrupt rogue governors don't certify who they want to be the president instead of who the people of their state voted for and that could happen. Right. Let's get to that in a second, but I have to ask you about this whole special master thing. So Trump's legal team Monday night resisted a request to elaborate on his claims around declassifying documents recovered last month for Mar-a-Lago and a filing to the court upon its special master that Trump requested his attorney said the time and place for making such a disclosure would come an emotion in a criminal trial as an effort to recover his property. Otherwise the special master process will have forced the plaintiff to fully in specifically disclose a defense to the merits of any subsequent indictment without such requirement being evident in the district court's order. So I explain legally what he shot himself in the foot again, hasn't he? He's the one that demanded a special master. The judge granted this ridiculous request. Now the special master is saying, okay, prove it, that you declassified these documents. And explain to us legally what's happening? Well, legally, I can't explain it because it's inexplicable legally. It has no merit. First of all, there should have never been a special master appointed because there's no factual or legal grounds for it. But your point about how bad his lawyers are, that they got him into this that they let him, as you said, shoot himself in the foot because he makes a request and then it's granted and it's exactly what he doesn't need or want in order to defend what he asked for is going to have to do that. And otherwise, judge Jerry, who is the special master and is a former, I guess he's a senior status judge, so he's still a sitting judge. Can say, you're denied this. If you don't prove to me, these are declassified, but I would go even further and say, even if you were able to make this argument, which is ridiculous that he magically declassified things without any formal process. Even declassified these documents are a threat to our national security. And therefore it is illegal for him to possess them in the same way as if they were classified. Secondly, President Biden can reclassify them. He has the power to do that. So it doesn't matter if he declassified him all Biden has to do is say, they're classified, they threaten our national security. So it's all ridiculous. And it was bad lawyering. It's sort of like in lawyers, you have to play chess. You have to see two steps ahead of yourself. You can't just do what's right in front of you. And he doesn't. He just does whatever his emotions say to do. But I mean, the speaking of bad lawyering deal, isn't that exactly it? As lawyers, you're not supposed to insinuate things, right? They sort of insinuated that he had declassified the documents without really saying so we're making that actual claim because that would be fraudulent, wouldn't it? If he, in fact, as we all suspect, didn't declassify anything. It would, and they have to be careful to represent facts, not just stuff that they can never prove in court. It's just, you know, eventually if this ever got to a trial of any of the counts that are set forth in the warrant, or any of the others that are passable, you know, because it's not just those three statutes that he violated. There could be false statements, there could be conspiracy, young, ordinary conspiracy, under titles, three 71. I think there's a lot of stuff that could be going on. And in a trial, all of that is going to come out and he's going to be really sorry for all the things he said and did. But he's been very careful, Stephanie, to do all of his lies to the public, not to the courts. He never filed any written statements in his impeachment trials. He avoids appearing, and claims the 5th when the consequences of lying would be perjury and going to jail. He says it to the people who believe him who don't care that he's lying. Yeah. So, okay, so what happens next? Now with this, what's just happened with the special master? What is the deadline and what happens next? Well, the deadline has been set as November 30th, which is sort of bad because it's too far out, I think that it's quite likely that the stay request for the hundred pieces of paper, the hundred documents that are classified.

Sometimes you have that experience anyway but people at all day thanks in part because of the hopeful nature of genes vision but also because of its message of diversity and inclusion revising producer. Butch lukic talk to me about batman the long halloween now an animated movie. Hi how are you good. How are you. i'm doing great joan. Great when you sat down with jim and tim to talk about adapting this instead of approach i questioned approaching what you cut out. What is it that you absolutely wanted to make sure you had in in both parts of the of the film. Well i mean the obvious You know main villains law have to stick calendar man definitely stick. The story of hard bent absolute Everything going you know towards the rogues gallery and really. It's the central part of dent story. Cat-woman story desperately. You know obviously batman l. He tries to figure out how works to be a you know. Detective gordon was also in the running and we were it was written for him and have more family in or action in the storylines or in the act this script because of time and footage that we only allowed to send overseas. We have to scrap a couple of sequences for that. But i think it's still works. 'cause gordon still prominent throughout. Yeah and also i forgot l. Coney yeah and his definitely. I mean he's the centerpiece of of the villainy throughout so talking about david dalmatians calendar man. I totally blown away by it performance. Yeah so he came in to record a studio when we had the glass in front of him and it was on. It's almost like how we did. The final walk work and We had a born artists sell sollozzo. Ragas she wanted to come in to watch because she was a fan of is but she was also bought in that sequence so he and he immediately went into acting. Will you know these started pace in the whole area around so she was picking up on that so most of them all the movements that you see in the version. That's stuff that she jotted. Donald scott he was all. Wow that's pretty cool now. This is supposed to be a direct sequel. Batman year one. Would this nice companion piece to the batman. Year one video. That was done a few years ago. Yeah it might be it just kinda looked. It feels like from frank miller's version of some of the characters they kind of they might match up. It's hard to tell. I strictly stuck. Will tim selling jeff. Lungs version of those characters. Lana does i think the falconi wheat that is a lot more towards the straight you know crime figure dot fodder type than what the version in that movie is. He seems to be more like tony. Soprano yeah with more like the godfather version of that There's more sci fi talk so stay tuned back on sci-fi talk. I'm tony was anybody that was cast once. They started recording. Today anybody surprise you. Not really. I mean i think You know just all in all all of them were definitely you up for it and we had a time like i think they're all great overall of course already knew she was going to be able to pull it really be so and also it was kind of like well. Johnson khandu batman. It's a no brainer. Perfect and troy baker. Of course how okay. Yeah getting jack quaid from the boys to that was a coup. Yeah yeah that. Jack was probably a supplies. His week with Before he got boys we were caught his. What probably yours. Wow though yeah. He was a surprise. Alberto how much Nurturing emotionally put into the as far as holiday. I i was talking to him about that and he was up. The character was challenge to to do this How did you kind of approach holiday when you guys were planning it out. Yeah i mean the holiday killer. It's like in the books. I just kind of keep conveyed showing up in the moment when people expected to leave You know to do whatever the killing us to do on a slow. You know whatever's going to happen as far as leaving the call and cotton and all that so it's always something that happens you know after the sequence and then all they kill shows up and leaves the car then does the murder was just trying to keep it Towards the way the book approached was the animation style similar. To man of tomorrow is at a style that you like or did it just kind of fit for this. No initially a good socil- a i i did. That look is for halloween. This movie was supposed to be released before madison okay. The style was actually adapted long halloween and then manage tomorrow because we carried on from there was continuity from long halloween. I think there's a piece in mana tomorrow where lois is at the xerox machine. And you know. She's got a xerox photo. Batman and she has posted says cole k. That was supposed to be a reference in this movie which was supposed to actually be outhustle manage tomorrow so warranty had basically the batman existed before superman did that was the original version but things changed so we ended up in minutes. I mean that's really not the first movie of this lot What's it like to be the supervising producer and kind of. Have you know working with jim and tim on this particular project. The nice thing for us in the you know when we first started all this was that we had a little bit of prime more than usual then to work out. How the with that. This long halloween two movies and what we needed to get rid of and what we needed to keep and retain and it's also the things that we found just by. We have a you know. Full sessions talks in jim's office and go over stuff and still trying to figure out how we connect these guys up. and how. How do you connect stuff that was kind of you know not really it was bits and pieces in the in the actual original books that had some some plot holes. We felt we needed to fill a little bit and just to make sense of Something a little bit more doing that. We ended up with some lucky. You know accidents.

"Man. Cgi dogs are weird to are. There's so much cgi dog in this movie. And i just want to be like you know like real dogs are a thing right and it and a lot of these scenes like don't need to be cgi. It's just a dog like standing next to somebody or a small dog being held by someone right like it's it's weird. There's also some weird like physics. The go on sorry were Spoiler full cast year. So i truly cannot imagine someone being upset about spoiling the movie cruella deville neck courageous crew. And i'll come to that in just a moment. There's this weird stuff i mean. Okay whatever some some guard. Dalmatians of things Odd yeah like tackle crew ellas mom and knocker over a cliff right. That actually happens in the movie that so is actually killed by amount donations. Yes yes that is true and say look. That was people meaning on the like. I didn't believe it. Like i was like. There's no way no it. It happens and the dog that knocks off. Like you would think if dog has that kind of momentum hits her and the two of them tumble off right. No have you ever seen video or seen a friend. I dunno used to do this like in like middle school gym when they had the wrestling mats on the wall. You know you just like ron and flynn yourself with the wall bounce off of it. Yeah yeah yeah yeah. Yeah that's that's that's the physics of what happens with this dog. It bounces off of her. Like i bounced off of a wall in seventh grade. So if she's that stout how does she go over the wall i. I don't know it's weird. It's weird and the the well the final other weird thing that i was going to mention about. Crew ella is also kruah. Evidently has no last name for the entire film. Even though we're showing shown a mother were shown her in school and stuff. It's very strange And then a car. They wind up stealing car and one of the side characters. The thieves.

That's one million drawings done and traced by hand a ton of work for a movie that ended up costing the studio a million dollars. And here's more on how animation worked back then quoting the smithsonian artists. I drew concept art to create a character. They sketched characters on animation paper or cheap newsprint and then assistance cleaned up the sketches. Making sure they were uniform. Consistency was key for characters as assistance had to follow every detail of a sketch down to the buttons on a jacket. Once the drawings were ready they moved to the inkers. The sketches on the front side of shiny sell sheets after drying the cell was then turned over for painters to paint the characters within those lines to get them as opaque possible. The line work grew even more complicated. Different colors weights. Thicknesses were vital forgiving animated characters. The realistic qualities viewers expected the color of the paint also demanded extreme attention. Disney mixed its own paints making their animations unlike any other in fact women in the ink and paint department took refuge from their compaq's applied to snow white's cheeks to give her a natural look in the nineteen thirty seven film and quotes unsurprisingly. The artists that disney animation studios were scrupulous in innovative but after the financial failure of sleeping beauty. There was serious discussion about closing up shop. "On your TV. You breed the 30 bucks. Yeah. So I watched Cruella And I pay we, you know, we just We're in debt. Big time We bought a house, so we just said, Why not throw another $30 on top, So we paid for the premier access on Disney Plus To watch Cruella at home, and we actually had a couple people over and then we shared. You know, it was like $5 for everybody. Whatever. So, so that's a way to break that up to, like. Have a party have some people over and then you can break down that $30, but it's phenomenal, and I didn't know what to expect. Going in. Because sometimes these prequel redo. Things are kind of mere. Um, But this movie is excellent in my humble opinion, and I really like and it is not a kids movie. Okay, That's what I was wondering. And where does it starts so well, really. It's ruin its when Cruella as a child, and so it starts, way, way, way, way, way back and you start to see some of the things that happened through Her childhood. Um, that helped mold her into what she becomes kind of as we know it, but also the movie ends in a way. That it makes you wonder. Well, now wait a minute. I don't know how she gets from this point. How the movie ends to, you know, making get stealing, 101, Dalmatians and all that jazz so well, there's rumors of another one, so that does make sense that it could. So maybe they're going to fill the gap because a lot of people were like, wait a minute, because there's all these rumors of the sequel like You said, So people are the initial responses. Wait a minute. How can there be a sequel? There's already 101 Dalmations. I think the genius says, who made this movie eating cash money, uh, set it up in a way, so that making jam maybe one more in there, and I think it's I think it's getting great reviews and you know if you can find a way to spread the cost out and have some people over, I mean it's affordable. If that's what you'd spend if you go to the movie theater, right, that's kind of how we justified it. No, the Raisinets or the reason and that's so My good. Yeah, it's really great. How about him? Stone. How did she do in her portrayal of very, very well, You know, it does start a little slower because it's kind of the you got to get through the back story of the childhood stuff. So it does like there's this fabulous moment and I'm not spoiling anything because it's in the trailer. Um, so it's that moment where she walks into the party. While Carella walks into the party, and she's got like the, um like a hood on and like a total, uh, long covering dress, and then she throws some magic dust or something. And then the paper dress kind of burns off and reveals her with the white and black hair, and she's got this bright red dress on and it's phenomenal, But yeah, the acting the acting is excellent all around, I would have to say And I think that I think Emma Stone does a tremendous job too. And there's melt into the role you're not thinking. Oh, that's kind of stone. Yeah, no, no, no, no, Exactly. And there's some twists and turns in there that you don't really expect. You know, there's like a murder plot. Whoa, don't Don't you just love the dogs, right? Um, And so there's there's a little There's a little bit of that and then try not to give too much away. But I also love the time period in which had said it's got that old timey just Really grandeur of the past field to it, So I also love that, And I'm always amazed by the sets. I mean, this is a real live action movie. And so you know some of its computers and stuff and C g I, but a lot of it's actually just like a real set they created and it's like the hat. The one mansion house is always so amazing. I just love seeing the scenery to even that's wonderful in this movie, so I'm a huge fan. Yeah, they got they got some bucks, and they do it, right. What about dogs? You see a lot of dogs. Are they house? Um, does that look well know and believe it or not, they they have. There are two or three. There's a handful of dogs. Um, but but it's not the 101 crowd, obviously. And so they haven't grown to that size family yet. We're not far enough. So you're you're back in the story to where it's only the handful of it, But, yeah, if you can splurge and you're looking for something, I Give it two thumbs up for sure. So for kids you're thinking, Yeah, 10 and above. That is an interesting question. It's a hard one to answer because you know the maturity of your child. It really doesn't matter, and there is like a there isn't but it's artfully done. But there isn't and for, uh, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. No, But there's all but there is that death. There's a death boom. Yeah. Um there is that you make me feel uncomfortable. There is a death situation..

A podium i this is. This is the crux of the problem. They're having right now. I believe you know the bummer. Though is that like you know. So when these dalmatians kidnapped and everything like dog society and and barnyard society joined together. Sure to save these dogs where we're all these mother fuckers asleep at switch when this tiger was murdered. That's a really good voice. Come on well he. The tiger didn't send out the bark. That like you know started the way. That's true but also i think they're trying to quit like one. Tiger equals one hundred one domain says. There you go. That's the shale. Yes but this is also not in the original. I was a little shocked that the possible puppy death was in the original. But it is it is i was kind of the the little game it dies in the car to know it. Just it's a weird scene. I'm like which had like stillborn baby cat. Almost dying in a in the aristocrat like fucker. You do one of those things. It's it's burned into my brain more often than not leaving the house and especially i'm doing the cartoon itself. I'm leaving the house like did i have. He's on me. I do and yet i wonder and those lines that is burden on my brain that i use like twice a week. So here's what i can remember. The we just watched The cartoon version I dunno maybe like a couple of weeks ago. Sure couldn't remember in. The cartoon does pondo have more of a role in like resuscitate him because he like licking him or anything. No what is watching. I couldn't remember. Roger is like rubbing this dog like. It's pizza dough at this. It does yourselves. Because i think this sequence of jeff daniels meeting his bride is is more embarrassing. The dumb and dumber diarrhea c. abseilers mile. So who the fuck is riding bicycles with dogs on. Leashes saint jude. Identify yourself up for a death. Wish and he finds another stupid individual. That does the exact same thing. It's funny that you bring up the dumb and dumber thing. Because like i thought like when i was watching the the the scene where tongo is on with mike mike. This is dumb and dumber jokes. His face is very like or are and that's why you got the role right. Yes oh here's this big dumb idiot kind of he's riding high also. It is important to point out. This is a post. Both of those home alone movies screenplays written by john museum self. Yes the slapstick is out. He was fucking high on scientific after those. Do busy who've just goes away and it turns into home. Loan three it. It absolutely does. Kind of a bummer. A bummer of it. Just sucks Home along plus beethoven ego pretty much. Yeah i don't think this. I mean crew. Cruella proved me wrong. But this is a premise. That's not gonna work live action. I have a hard time. That's the thing that's why i don't think they. They knew they couldn't make a move. Another one hundred and one dalmatians. 'cause they're like people love dogs do much. What we can do is explain. How torello eventually what is to kill. That's the big question i had. What is the animal abused situation in this. Maybe late as she horny for josh absolutely. I think it's the only way she could shoot like masturbating then. She doesn't over dog death. This w- predicting crew. Allah opens up like the beginning of shape of water. It's bathtub with an egg timer. So it's like that. Tom six movie. That hasn't come out the club club. Which is why fuck already all of these women getting together and fucking just totally gone to town on themselves watching like nine eleven pack videos it's that with guerrilla with y'all abuse like like she watches them. Sarah mclaughlin commercials have just starts rubbing one now. That's how it started. Now she's bribe and the guy down at the animal shelter. Lemme watch some gas s. She's just in the corner. You know working at anytime. Six movie made more than six thousand dollars which they never did. You would definitely be in line to direct some disney cartoon. Live action ownersh. I'm doing brave little toes. Madore oliver company. I talked to would be beautiful to make a cut physically talk. Fdr we will make the fucking think. Talk i swear. That's right and the dog. Yeah actually it does sound okay. An english accent which does bring a gripe here. Do as much as i love the man that i love the man jeff daniels. This american video game designer living in foggy london. What is going on with that. Like why is he there. What is this about. And say i mean also like. I don't think that where you wanna be. If you wanna make video games is like moved to england. Move to fucking japan dude. That's where you wanna go like. Correct me if i'm wrong. Gamers out there and whatnot but like in the mid nineties was a hot spot for game development. Maybe i don't know but either way aside from him like kind of looking like the animated by there's no reason why you had to go with jeff daniels. The animated geise funded songwriter. He's like the fuck jeff daniels when i think video game designer jeff daniels. This is about as far away from what i'm thinking about as possible of fucking living duck. And he's like what i would imagine. He's also ten to fifteen years older than the character probably should be. You know what i mean like. He's down and out. Kind of guy bachelor i did. I did the math and it's depressing. Because he was forty one when the movie came out so he was like forty while making. Yeah let's like two years away for me. sure reach these heights. Dog breeding video games. I like victim but the song thing is really important though. Like hey that makes sense be like he does the song cruella deville like it's kind of agreement who out just this bullshit. All the inspiration of our weird puppy adventures has brought me to make carillo davila. The video game villain. It is a straight up like this dude is like you know what honey i fucking hate that friend from college relative ill because in the animated one she's just the the the She was the school to school with really. The wife is just a college friend of grill developed and like when she comes stomping into that movie. They're like. Oh jesus fucking crew relative phil again. Thatchet writing a song about how. 'bout you hit your wife's friends playing it for her at her. Last name is the davos. That's that's not a name. I would expect that to be part of one of his weird. Al songs dollar old london town is that real like in the actual cartoon the actual cartoon. He's got us on. The goes grew his de ville like develop is actual characters. Live some calls you well. "Movie's called crew. Ela E. Think, Give you some advice. You can't care about anyone else. Everyone else is an obstacle. You can't was an obstacle once or feels you're dead. So how about it? Is it a good movie? Well, you know, it's sort of like, remember Melissa isn't the Disney movie that way coming shouldn't and yeah, well, this thing does the same. This will be the same thing with It tells us that she wasn't really the monster we remember from 101 Dalmatians. She was mostly misunderstood. She had a tough childhood, and she had to work against odds to become the famous fashion designer that she became. And she had a great nemesis in that effort. Who was the baroness in this film? The young crew l O is played by Emma Stone and her nemesis. The Baroness is played by Amma Thompson and these two actresses have a really great time camping it up in 19 seventies London. Trading barbed remarks and sneering scowls at one another and affected line readings. So if you enjoy that kind of camp, you'll enjoy watching these two masters of it Duel with one another is doing fashion designers. It's also a beautiful, beautiful movie to look at. It's got great costumes, of course, being set in the fashion world. It has a beautiful It's too juvenile for adults, at least for this adult, and I thought it was pretty tedious. Overall. I think it's going to be a big hit. These kinds of movies always are. But I wonder whether they went in the wrong direction. Trying to turn crew L a DeVille into a misunderstood person rather than a monster. It's available on Disney. Plus is well, It's in theaters by the way, all right next Netflix Zombie movie because we haven't had a zombie movie in 20 minutes or so. This one.

So they didn't get into a lot of that stuff, but I thought was pretty good. So Patrick Conroy, Giorgos roommate, how is our quarterback feeling about? No rehearsals before the great on they did some scrimmages within within their team at so stadium which looks amazing by the way I don't know if you guys gotta channel my Gosh I can't believe we can't go to it. Yes. So he's he's done a lot of that stuff. You also relaunched brand which last year on my brought in a couple of teachers but it was just the logo before, and now he got the team that kind of made a couple more clothing options for everybody more like a rather than just a logo So he's donating all his arrays, all the procedure going to the Unified Inglewood unified, school district that has of the brand merch items. Yeah that's awesome. Senior. J. G. for Jared Goff but then it looks like the number. Sixteen. Doesn't have like. A little bit of colored as to differentiate the sixteen or JD in the sixteen. But this is just a black and white or Bra I I will contribute to the costs I would love I'm going to buy one of those hats I like that. Yeah. That's really great. We'll Patrick thank you so much for coming on. Glad that you n our quarterback at the Rams Jared Golf doing well together, and I don't know when we'll see in person but we'll definitely talk this season Bre Housi- film about playing with. No fans. I think it's an he's in different I mean obviously it's not going to be the same vibe in the stadium, but you still gotta handle the business on field so whether our fans are not, it's kind of the same mentality.
