"A consistent presence in grand kids, okay? I'm gonna demonstrate how you source of long today she is not able to figure it out. Um, this is sad. And Alan Watts is the one who went on social media and made this all public and his wife doesn't mean that he's hurt his wife getting a d wi, uh, whether it should be convicted or not, We don't know. But his wife Getting pinched for Wi doesn't mean the end of his career, but then him going on and vilifying our cops and demanding an apology and demanding it be thrown out the next morning. I mean, she cannot be in office if it's true that she was drinking and driving. And the stupid receipt of water and eliminate doesn't mean by the way. Here's more. We have more details. The cop when the cop pulled her over when the window rolled down, the cop smelled alcohol boom right there, like not even getting into the car. When, when? When Mrs West roll the window down in the traffic step. Car smell reeked of alcohol, according to the affidavit. Second of all a McDonald's Cup in the, um The Council of the front in the Front council smelled of alcohol. And so there's some more stuff you may may not have known she had Mrs West. Her lawyer claims that she had a previous brain aneurysm behind her right eye that maybe that impaired her, But I'm not buying that at all. In what I'm seeing. Um West lie to us. Mr West lie to us and said she had no issues with the field sobriety test or the Breathalyzer test. That's Not accurate at all. It's being untruthful with us. Um, chief, Garcia said that West paint the picture. I'm really sharing some details that I got from this, uh, this story from the Texas Tribune. Chief Garcia says that Mr West had painted a different picture than what occurred and it was a mischaracterization. And I agree, and I'm glad that the chief defended his Uh, officer Miss West as I mentioned, was veering to the right hand shoulder before the cop pulled her over. She was veering like she's like halfway. I'll driving on the shoulder. What is that crap? The video shelter, then stop in the middle lane of the highway. And the officer said, Basically, this is me putting in words. What the hell are you doing? You idiot! Pull over the side and pull over to the side street to a size three. And then she pulled over the far right lane. The copies to get again. These are my words, not the cops. What the hell are you doing, lady Pull over in a side street for the second time on the road is stupid or drunk, huh? Again. That's me. Um, the officer in the warrant put, uh, in the affidavit also says that Miss West clothing appeared to be clothing hair had signs of possible intoxication by being all dis shoveled. I mentioned that the out of the three sobriety test she failed, uh, several living areas in there. We also see that, she said when she messed up the Breathalyzer test and not following simple instructions. They said Okay, well, we're going to take you down to Parkland. We're gonna have to do a blood test. She said no problem They arrested for D W I They go down to Parkland. Miss West said She'll be happy to do blood draw when they get to Parkland, which is a nice little delay. Of what 20 minutes. I don't know. And then they're about the the nurse comes in to draw and then Miss West Coast. Oh, you know what? I changed my mind. I want to lawyer up. So then our Dallas police said, Go get a warrant against Miss West. So the real big question is. What the hell are you hiding? What game? Are you playing? After failing some of these tests on the side of the road and driving like a drunk or or or an idiot. Uh oh. Here, the The West Family released a five panel instant your analysis test Monday morning that also included an alcohol test and they said, Well, it goes back up to 80 hours. How do we know it's for urine? This is this is not going to go hold up in court. It doesn't look doesn't mean anything means nothing to me. And I mean that it reminds me of what's his name Michael Vick. Or one of the, uh, when I was in Atlanta 15 years ago, there was the Wisden ator. You remember the Whizzinator? You can buy that to have it can hold the urine and you can use that when you have a test. Get out of here with this garbage. And, uh, Mike Mata from Dallas Police Association says the Colonel West thinks he's especially special He's special that he should get certain treatments that every other citizen doesn't get. Is it because he's a politician? Is it because he's running for governor? Well, that's not how it goes. We believe in fair and equal treatment of law, and so do I. And you should to take off the blinders. Modern also says the officers went beyond normal policies to contact West family to pick up his grandson. Department policy usually says, Call CPS and let them pick up the three month old in the back of what appears to be a drunken driver. Does anybody care about that? By the way? These Web CPS. They didn't do it this to anybody on 15 with a drunken driver gets CPS. Actually called West family. And for that he vilifies or for that some folks vilify them. I stand with our police officers. Maybe she won't be found guilty. Who knows? But I stand with our cops. So far. I still do even more today. And you should, too, Dr Robert Jeffress. Pastor, First Baptist Dallas, Joining me next to tell us what he knows about Christians who are stranded in Afghanistan, no matter what Jen Psaki might.

"One david. Amy on a thursday morning blood test results. Show the wife of gubernatorial kid. Allen west did not have drugs or alcohol inner system. the night she was arrested by dallas police on suspicion of dwi dallas police association president. Mike motta joining us now this morning to talk about the the arrest. Good morning mike. Are you doing today. Good so the dp content continues to defend. Its position that the arrest was warranted right. Absolutely absolutely i mean look at the title the charge suspicion. We don't arrest. We don't arrest people decide guilt or innocence at the scene. It was suspicion of driving while intoxicated. And i think when you look at the body camera and you look at all the clues absolutely there was reasonable suspicion improbable calls to make that arrest. I think we can I think we could all agree that the police do their jobs of the best they can. And as you pointed out the word is suspicion and there are a lot of people. I would say relatively a lot of people who are arrested suspected of drunk driving under the influence and then later found to have been into been cleared by that. But but colonel west is still insisting on an apology. And i really don't know that the dallas police department Should be in the business of issuing apologies to people who were found not to have been guilty of a crime. Well an apology of what you know. The officer obviously saw we all saw that she straddled two lanes she in the middle of the roadway twice she failed to signal all of that is probable cause for to make the traffic stop. We would all agree to that and then once you walk up to the window you see the buckshot. Is that in itself. Could be just that. She's tired but that is a clue of intoxication. You get her out of the call you give her the five different tests multiple clues throughout those five. Different tests led to believe this possibility. She could be intoxicated. She tried to do the breathalyzers. She could not complete the breathalyzer as instructed. Another clue to possibly be intoxicated. And so again. When you add all these clues up then the officer and the field has to make the best judgment decision on. Do i allow this person to continue driving down the road. Or do i do. Or do i err on the side of caution and make the arrest only ninth. What happens sorry. Only nineteen minutes That tape was released in a lot of it was a highly edited I guess for time purposes and now lieutenant. Colonel west is asking for that entire tape to be released. Is that something. the department would release in its entirety. Absolutely i mean that's open records request. He absolutely can do that and again. I think we don't need to sidestep the fact that Why chief garcia one of the reasons. Why chief garcia released that that video because of the unsubstantiated accusations at the officer would rude that they were discourteous that they manhandled her. That they you know were You know Insinuating that they would arrest or forever single 'cause if she didn't comply none of that happened but yet he has not apologized for that so again She has every right to be upset that his wife was arrested. That's only human nature but to docks that officer like he did to call her out like he did to the point that she was receiving death threats and they even you know people found her parents house and put her parents house on social media. And that's unwarranted and unnecessary. Mike thank you very much for taking a few minutes to talk with us about this absolutely and again you know. It's very unfortunate that Miss west went through this. And you know being arrested not something. That's fun but the process worked. The justice system does work all right. There's mike motta. He's of course. The dallas police association president coming up on k. l. i. f. and other toilet paper supply issue. And you won't believe what california's doing now. We'll maybe california it's california. Yeah anything goes now time for your morning. Cliff notes on five seventy. Klif divided supreme court. Late wednesday denied an effort.

"I want these charges against my wife dropped. I want to record to be expunged and I want her to go home. This has been traumatic for my wife. One listener tweeted over the weekend at me. All I did was take that story from the hit The news. And I said, This is not a good look. One listener said. You, too, Chris. I'm surprised third time in the last couple of months. You have made a huge all caps. Mistake like this. Our loyalty won't last forever. You are fast losing credibility with your audience. Do better. So it's not possible that Colonel West's wife drove intoxicated. So the police that you claim to revere are now suddenly suddenly liars. So the police that you back after you watch a 27 minute video with the black lives matter, idiot acting like an idiot and getting shot. Now you see it with Colonel West wife and now they're bad. Now the cops are bad. I don't understand why Colonel West even play this card. I don't believe it could be that She wasn't intoxicated, but it doesn't look good. Looks horrible. Another thing coming up today, the affidavit say, Angela West's eyes were bloodshot red. I don't understand why he would die on on a hill like this for this. I don't believe that he's being truthful. And if this if he's not being truthful this what else has he done with his power? And what else would he do with the power of the governorship? He just destroyed his candidacy. Charles and Cleveland. You're on w B A P Yeah. Chris, I just want to tell you, man, I don't normally this near station, but you just came across really rough really Rough. I thought you were making decisions. You were judge and jury. And I don't think that's right. I think that lady might have been a 61 years old. Maybe she couldn't stand though. One leg. Maybe she didn't see well at night. Maybe this ring she won driving. You don't know. So why do you make those kind of decisions and be judge and jury on the dad come radio What would you like me to say instead? I'd like for you to give the benefit of a doubt the people I mean, you don't know You don't know the facts. You're looking at that that dumb TV or something and saying, Okay, now she looks like she's drunk. Therefore she is Do you want me to give the death? You said you want me to give the what you call the deference or something? Or the what was it? You want me to give? You want you to be open minded? In fact, it's possibility. Other way could have happened. Right? I would like you, Charles to be open minded and think the other way could have happened and I would like you to be open minded. With the police. Do we Huh? We don't know that do we don't know which way it was. But now we're here, though. I'm sorry, Mind and have both sides of the story. Right? So I would I would like you to keep an open mind. And listen to the police. Doesn't sound like you have an open mind with this with the police. Yeah. I have an open mind of the place. I sure do. And I know you put me on the defensive. You know that you were given an opinion and you were to judge and jury. Mm. This is interesting. So are you giving that the deference are you leaving room for? Maybe the cops are right here. Do you? Do you think that maybe there there? I'm saying we do not know. So then how well they you know, so as I sit here And I observe number one. First of all, do you? Do you believe that it's that? Do you believe that 61 year olds drive drunk? That is entirely happens. Happens all the time. Do you know that this lady was drunk? Do you? Do you believe that 61 year olds will drive drunk with a three month old grandchild in the back? Yes, I do believe that could happen. Do you believe that police officers state, but we don't know. Do you believe that police officers? Of the chief and the Federal police and the spokesperson Mike Mata say that this is this woman is actually various officers very trained in this kind of an issue. Industry to spot and hello, blacks. Please relax. I didn't jump on me. I didn't jump on you. Please don't jump on me. Do you believe that this officer as as the Dallas Police Association said. And the chief says is trained to spot somebody intoxicated. Do you believe that when the eyes flutter with whether if you have you follow an object left to right that that indicates intoxication. That in the affidavit, the list bloodshot eyes that could be is one of the indicators of possible intoxication that when she can't do the heel, the toe heel the toe that could be intoxication or one second, my friend hold on my second, my second one second, my friend. When she lives up one leg. She can't do it without our arms up in the air, which you're not supposed to build here. I believe we can't do that. Because relax one years old, Just okay. Uh, What's your name? My name is B. J. B. J. Would you pull his ardor down so I can finish and then I will let him respond. He keeps jumping. Do you believe that? Um When he she says, uh, You walked this many times, however mint. It was two or three or whatever, and she does more than she's told to You believe that any of that could be, But it could looks like it's intoxication because the officer says it does. And do you trust that officers Because she's trained for? Go ahead, sir. Chris. Look, man, I'm just telling you, you don't know. I don't know. Why do you make opinion like that and go on the T V and judge and jury on her already? Why do you suppose Allen West came out and said he demanded an apology this morning. I would estimate that he was rather upset that his wife got arrested in the middle of the night with a friend here in fire. And he.

"Along on this Monday afternoon drive, Um, spoke with Lieutenant Colonel Allen West retired about very difficult situation for he and his family on Friday night. His wife, Angela, was Detained and arrested for suspicion of D w I, um with me now is Sergeant Mike Mata, president of the Dallas Police Association. It's not my intent to, uh to support or jeopardize. Defense or prosecution. But a lot of this doesn't make sense. Uh, Lieutenant West. So, Lieutenant Colonel West said he had a receipt for lemonade from P. F. Chang's, which is proof that she wasn't drinking. That's obviously not true. Um, I mean, he may have the receive, but that's not considered legal proof that she wasn't drinking. Um Then he continues to give out the police officer's badge number name. Not really sure where that comes from, Unless it's a place of Bangor for something he's been told, Um, he used the term Gestapo tactics by the police. I think that will Be readily, uh, resolved by body camp, And then he said the child, her three his and his wife's through your month old grandchild. Was endangered because it was left in under the supervision and two police officers. There are other things like, uh, you know, how did he get the information from the Breathalyzer except I guess from what his wife told him. There's just too many things here that don't make sense. Um, Sergeant Mike Mata, you've gone through that, and I appreciate it. Lieutenant. Colonel West also says he wants Eric Johnson, the Dallas mayor. The district attorney, Chorizo and the chief of police to come to his home by close of business tomorrow and apologize to his wife and his three month old grandson. I'm guessing that's not going to happen. I would tell Lieutenant Colonel West. I wouldn't hold his breath that that's going to happen. What? What? You're in the business of law enforcement ever. You're saying every single day I'm the black sheep in the family. They all went one way I went together, but a lot of this doesn't make sense. What Can you fill in some of the blanks here for me? Well, you know, First of all, look, I'm going to say does does Mr West have every right to be upset that his wife was arrested? Of course he does. That's human nature. But he knows I mean he was an elected politician admitted to the guy who wants to be This is and how it's done. Um and he knows the process that it takes. And so you know, it's very discouraging that he continues to say the officer's name and badge number, and I think that is Is a complete, uh, way of attempting to intimidate her and get her dots. Um, I've received dozens over a dozen. Very, uh, aggressive, hateful. Phone calls from people who are very loyal to Mr West, and so has this officer and it's just not right. Well, he's also calling for the officer to be fired. And that is unbelievable. You know that this hasn't even gone to trial. This hasn't even gone to an evidentiary hearing. This hasn't even sat in front of probable cause hearing he wants the officer fired for what's for doing what? Her job. And you know, I've already been told And I'm sure you'll figure out you'll see here Pretty soon The police department has released the body cam video. So you will see for yourself this officer Was everything that they that the citizens of Dallas one and a police officer professional and showed the highest level of integrity when dealing with Miss West. I guess the final question. First of all, I appreciate you coming on on such short notice. But what's next in this thing? I mean, Lieutenant Colonel Allen West is running for governor. His wife, I would imagine a bit shaken by all this. You've got a police officer that's now been Put out there for every and I can tell you being in the public eye. That's not always the best place to be, but with her name and badge number and request for termination, which I totally don't understand what's next in this case? Well, I guess that plays on 22 decision that, you know, Mr and Mrs West need to make you know, obviously, if he feels and she feels that she is, uh, not guilty of D wi that she should she should vigorously defend herself in court. And I think you know, Lieutenant Colonel West Miss an opportunity. Uh, to win. She was arrested. What He should have said was that I steadfastly support my wife. I believe in my wife. We will vigorously fight these charges in court. And when she has found not guilty, we will take appropriate steps afterwards. That's what a person does who believes in the rule of law. What he has done is not what is best shown by politicians and are in the state of Texas Sergeant Mike Modern President Dallas Police Association. I appreciate your time, hopefully We will talk. Talk again soon about something in a more positive note. I appreciate it very much, Sergeant. Absolutely. You have a good day and thank you for your time. You do the same your calls you've heard from Lieutenant Colonel Allen West. You've heard, uh, from Sergeant Mike Mono, the president of the Police of Dallas Police Association. Don't know if you've seen the video yet. I have not. We'll take your calls next with no fees or minimums on checking and savings accounts. "But he said just prior to that, um, she didn't know what the Breathalyzer results were. I'm thinking. Okay. Well, did he get preferential treatment and somebody giving that information is that the case? No, not at all. You know that's going to be in the arrest report, and you have to open records that type of information and again that would be also presented to his attorneys in court and again. It's very simple. He can give that all that evidence he feels he has. He gives it to his attorney, his attorney requesting immediate Probable cause hearing and he can do a motion for dismissal and that probable cause hearing if the elements of the offense and the judge feel that wasn't met, But that's what we do in the system that is at hand. We don't do it in Social media. And that's why I think he does think he deserves special treatment. But we wouldn't continue down this path and I think he's going to be very discouraged. Um, you know, because I believe the department will probably released his video and he's the C and the the citizens are going to A very courteous professional officer who treated Miss West with integrity. Talking with Sergeant Mike Mata President Dallas Police Association concerning this Very, uh, high profile. Certainly in the public candidate for governor, Lieutenant Colonel Allen West. Retired wife, Angela was, uh Pulled over and arrested for suspicion of D W I talking now with Sergeant Mata. When we come back, I'd like to know what the sergeant feels about the request of Lieutenant West. That the D a. The police chief, and I guess it was somebody else. I, uh, got too much going through my head right now come to his home to apologize to his wife and his three month old grandson will do that next. Inflation is here. Price increases grocery stores manufacturing. This is happening right now. Bottom line here at what happens next. Everybody's experiencing inflation will happen here..

We've got a hot forecast for the rest of the week, and we'll hear bread with that in just a minute or so. Yeah, but happening right now. The Plano ISD is hosting an emergency school board meeting. Brought into and left my grandson to Dallas police officers. Luckily, they were able to get in contact with our youngest daughter who was able to go and pick up Jackson. "Your head of the loop, all you have to do is ask Alexa Open W B A P 49 80 Mike model for the Dallas Police Association. Kind enough to join a site right now representing Dallas Police officers. We had Colonel Allen West on uh And obviously, Mike, you've seen this video that he has put out You've seen his demand for an apology from the police chief from the mayor. From the district attorney from your perspective, and from what you know. Did this officer Act out of line at all. Absolutely not, You know, and, uh, I think we need to rephrase. I don't think it's a demand. I think it was a threat, and I don't think that's really the proper way for a past elected official and you know, and hopefully for what he would like to be a future. Governor of this Texas to act. Um so I think it's very disingenuous and discourteous and unethical. To be honest with you. I could see his frustration. I mean, obviously going to defend your wife. You want to defend your family? But there is a process here that has to take place. He did bring up an interesting question. We are guilt. We're innocent until proven guilty. There has been no trial. Yeah, she's been charged. Obviously. Yet, he said. Within 48 hours, she has to put a monitor on her car. You know that's that. Well, that's that's a policy. That's uh, that's Dallas County policy. So this is my thing. Why does Senator widest Lieutenant Colonel West think that he should be treated different than any other citizen? He goes down to the jail. He demands to see his wife. That doesn't happen with anybody else. They have to be processed. They go in front of a judge that given a bail and they're released. Then he wants I'm not a second, but Let's go back. Well, was she drunk? Well, that's what a trial is for that we have to wait. No, no, no. You have blood test and you had you have blood tests. And you she had she blew into the the testing. She did. She walked the line, and that's what you want to call it. But I mean, certainly we should know by now if she was drunk Well, No, So okay, So let me tell you, First of all, they're called indicators. So the breath test let's start with the breath test. The breath test is very simple. It's a very small machine. The one that's doing out in the field is a very small machine and the one that's done. And Lou Stuart. They can be. It can be failed by two ways. User error. The person that's taking the test doesn't do it correctly. An example. If you do not do a constant, hard blow of breath. For five seconds. The machine will not register so the person doesn't do that. Even if they try once twice three times it's going to default to double zeros. That's just how it happens. And so if that doesn't come back then they asked for a blood. Sick specimen. So in the field the traffic remember this isn't a patrol lawsuit. This is a This is a traffic officer. This is what she does every day write citations do action reports and VW hires. They do extensive training outside of what a normal patrol officer does, And they do the field sobriety tests and if those clues are met throughout the Field sobriety test. Then they're arrested.
