"Probably have the best interior line in the league. Right now. With three guys and hardgrave Cox and Jackson and while we talk about that potentially not being a premium position. Each of those guys has an ability to get after the quarterback and when you're rotating them in they're all going to be guys that are going to be coming in and out They probably not gonNA be fatigued That's GONNA be a tough group to deal with. So I like the hargraves move And again he's a guy that isn't just a run stopper but can get pressure from the inside. That's the whole thing but the interior line. Why some of these guys signed for so much. It's not a premium position until that guy can get pressure from the inside and pressure on the inside is the quickest point to the quarterback and quarterbacks eight pressure on the inside. So if you can get a guy who compression from the inside all of a sudden he becomes premier player I just don't want to be overpaying for run stuffers and twenty twenty. That's kind of the point to the interior linemen discussion. If it's a premium defensive line in a position of strength Philadelphia Eagles one of the biggest question marks remain the weapons that they have available offensively we saw mile sanders come into his own. We know he can be a game-breaker out of the backfield but receiver for extended periods of time was essentially a black hole for Carson Wentz Philadelphia. First TEAM IN NFL history with Carson Wentz to have a quarterback throw for more than four thousand yards without a single wide out contributing more than five hundred yards Nelson. Allergan Alshon Jeffery most likely gone all the speculation Philadelphia. We'll try and address the receiver position through the draft DEA. Feel they did enough offensively or knowing trust you have an eagles organization. This is all part of a calculated. Plan that Hey. This is one of the deepest receiver classes out there. We can go out there and address that whole through draft capital more so than anything else very very deep position you do have to Sean Jackson returning. Still some question marks with L. Sean Jeffrey if you can get some of the guys that had to step up in be key cogs last year that now take a lesser role. That could be beneficial as well. Right all of a sudden Greg Ward won but teaser. Three he probably becomes a little bit more of a contributor. They weren't he's not asked to do so much. Jay Jay Segal whiteside someone. They still very much like specifically in the red zone right all of a sudden if he goes from being your number one outside to being a guy in the red zone he might be able to excel in that situation to your point though. The draft is loaded with receiver. But it's a tricky season we already know. Receiver is one of the toughest positions to acclimate yourself in immediately that first off season what. We've seen draft a wide receiver. It's very very rarely. He's a massive contributor year one. And that's why like Lorenzo much because it's such a tough position to get going and now how were looking right this off season where there really isn't going to be off season program. I think it's probably going to be even more difficult to implement for sheer wide receivers into your system but they are going to make some moves through the draft. Maybe they add a veteran guy In free agency or or through a trade but they are certainly looking to get some help At that position without doubt should be an interesting team. One that I know we were both exceptionally high on coming into last season. Injury bug never really gave them a chance to operate. At full capacity and then with the injury Carson wentz against the seahawks saw their season new premature end the team that they are able to eclipse for the division title was of course. The Dallas Cowboys. And when you look at the cowboys we know their focus. This off season endless has been on fortifying. Their offense they resign Amari Cooper. They bring in Blake Darwin a deal. That was probably under league average so I think a good signing in that regard but of course. This is a team. That's still trying to figure out a long term solution contractually with Dak Prescott we know Ezekiel Elliott under contract but a big loss and the offensive. Line Travis Frederick retiring for group that. Hey let's be honest had truly been elite over the last couple of seasons. I'll like the unit that we lauded years ago. When you look at the cowboys offensively we get to their defense aside. Because I think that's a little bit more fascinating. Do you think this team did enough to maintain the level that we grew accustomed to last season. At least from a season-long statistical performance. We know they didn't exactly play. They're absolute pass when they stepped up in class. Travis Frederick is is a tough loss. I think he is a guy that we've dedicated extensive time to on this podcast previous years. You lose your center. It's it's tough in terms of like the bigger wile moves Amari Cooper. You know it is what it is when when you make an aggressive move many times it's going to require a second aggressive move down. The line gave up a first round. Pick to acquire them like eighteen months or so ago or however long ago it was. They knew it meant he's going to have to sign for big money so if you look at him. Four time pro bowler. He's only twenty five. He has shown a willingness to play through injury. I think a lot of people see the headline grabbing hundred million and they panicked but reality. Is You know if the cowboys wanted to be. It can be a two year forty million dollar deal. So if Cooper suddenly isn't performing or suffers an injury or whatever come twenty twenty two. He's got six million as dead cap number. You can move on from him at that point. If you don't think he's worth the twenty two million which is the number. You'll pay him if he's on your Austrian twenty twenty two blake jawline. Yeah go ahead. No go ahead. No no no I was GONNA say interesting. Because we saw Marietta's absolute best last season and we know how he was able to open up the cowboys offense dealt with a bunch of injuries down the stretch. And You wonder if him and Michael Gallup as a one day and call Gallup at one be at least I don't think yet he does have that potential. I think it'll be interesting to see those guys out there performing off even want to step on your toes in regards to your thoughts John. I think that's the other thing there you know when you have a young guy who's produced as well as he has early on. You're going to be looking for Gallup to ascend. Take that next step and you have another young guy who you mentioned in Blake Darwin. I think he's a guy that we were pounding the table for last year to get into the lineup over Jason. Witten only played thirty nine percent of the snaps last year. It seems like the cowboys are finding listened. It's certainly a steep price to pay but again you look at that contract. It's really two years for ten. And a half million not four for twenty two and you'll look at a young guy like Jarwani's twenty-five he's entering the prime of his career. He's shown some flexibility to where he can line up in the slot receiver as well. This is more to me about projecting the player he's going to be based on you know evaluating a guy that's in your face every day than it is paying a guy who is a proven commodity that you're paying out of like previous production. The hope for the cowboys is that like Charlton is is kind of able to you. Know extrapolate his short sample size production over this increased role. And I think when you look at some of his numbers whether it's you know yards per target or yards per pass router catch rate. He was really in that six to twelve range of all tight ends. He's a guy on a really really good day. That can run four six so he's a little bit of a matchup problem in that regard as well but again this comes down to jar win. Basically being paid for what they project him to be. And that's part of your scouting department. That's part of your evaluation process. It doesn't just stop at the draft if you have a good evaluation department. You're self scouting your current guys to see if you need to get a head in sign him before he truly hits the open market. That's really how you can save a ton of money if you can get ahead and say. Hey we've seen with. This guy has done in his second year and we don't want him to get to his fourth year free agency you can sign him prior to that on a team friendly deal And I think that's what they see in Blake. Darwin let's see. Obviously the past production doesn't insinuate that he should be getting paid the kind of money they are but God forbid if he put this on film for a couple more years and then hit the open market. They're paying more for. That's part of your your talent and evaluation team the doing their job properly. Let's see if it comes to raise your like you said you're paying potential more show than production and oftentimes if you can do that properly. It can pay. Extreme dividends defensively obviously going to be a much different scenario for the cowboys. You look at their departures Byron Jones. Who heads off to the Miami Dolphins Robber Queen Gone at the Chicago? Bears incomes Gerald McCoy on Terry Po. You also have to inning. Matic Pass rushers. I guess for lack of a better term and to be politically correct in the form of Alden Smith signing a one year deal and Randy. Gregory who I think's potential becomes tantalizing and he just hasn't been able to stay on the field. And then Mike McCarthy reunited with one of his former members of the Green Bay Packers Defensive Backfield in ha ha Clinton dix. When you look at Dallas defensively we know Rod Marinelli never got his group to play up to its potential and some of the expectations. I think we had coming into last year will the changing in personnel and the chain faces for the cowboys defensively benefit them. Or do you think there can be some evitable growing pains? Listen JEREM McCoy Dante. Bow To veteran guys that are both still above average players Who signed short term deals in? You're looking for contribution right away because you're in win now mode. I just think that they are going to be able to help. I do And then you look at some of the other guys you mentioned Alden. Smith has to step up. Randy Gregory has to step up to guys that are pure pass rushers if you can get them in there focused form surprise some people. That's the big question. Mark is the focused form. And you would hope not. Only when you're bringing in veteran guys to contribute like McCoy and show that they can maybe assist with the mental side of the game as well..

"They still desperately lack an edge rusher but I guess the first move I want to start with pain and then you can obviously go into some of the guys that we've already mentioned. Were you surprised that? They put a franchise tag on Leonard. Williams. Dave gettleman not wanting to be wrong. After making the deal in the middle of the season. You know. Listen if you're a giants fan you better hope that Daniel Jones is good and takes the next step in. In somehow Dave gettleman can bring some talent through the draft. That's kind of what I'm going to say. In terms of Leonard Williams is what it is. Dave gettleman on the hot seat so by tagging Leonard. Williams you don't commit long-term to them which I think is is probably smart. There's only a few interior linemen that you should be breaking the Bank for. It's not a premium position But at the same time you don't WanNa lose that type of talent when you're on the hot seat and the one element of your defense. That was actually good last season. Was Your run defense and you know when you look at some of those numbers. The giants finished seventh in defensive rush efficiency they only allowed forty one percent of runs degrade successful Leonard. Williams was a substantial reason why they were that good. He is a very very good interior linemen. When it comes to saving the run it just hasn't materialized as a guy that can get pressure on the quarterback consistently from that position and so again interior linemen. That just stopped. The run is not a position that you wanNA spend major bucks on in free agency. So I mean that's really the deal with Leonard Williams Y- you don't want to get rid of them but you don't WanNa pay him long-term and you're on the autopsy so that's GonNa chose to tag him as far as some of the giants needs and or moves they made. Do you think they're headed in the right direction? Or do you still feel that? This is a franchise that doesn't quite know where they want to be in what they WANNA do to become contenders within the division again. They're not quite the New York Knicks yet. But another like off season or two with Dave gettleman. And you're certainly trending right there. Listen to me. The off season hasn't been great. And I know a lot of giants fans are very happy and There's a lot of folks that have graded out some of their offseason. Acquisitions is being a huge help to the future. Listen we like James Bradbury a decent amount and statistically I think his numbers look good and Carolina's scheme and he was certainly playing a division in going up against the likes of like Julio Jones and Michael Thomas and Mike Evans and Chris Godwin so a much more talented quarterbacks so I think when you move him to this division with less talented. Qb and wide receiver. Now he could even take another step and he is in his prime. You'll get this deal. It's really two years And it shouldn't be a shock that they went out and spent on James bradberry right. This is like the worst kept secret. Ever Dave gettleman drafted him in the second round when he was the Carolina. Gm so this isn't a shocking thing. I think James Bradbury is a fine player but the contract insinuates that he's one of the best three corners and football and I'm not on board with that Blake Martinez think it's probably a solid signing in. It's a position of need if he can return to like his two thousand. Eighteen form is two thousand. Nineteen production wasn't good at all one of his worst seasons as a pro horrific against the run Had trouble shedding. Some blocks got bullied a lot at the point of attack. Carl banks seems to like him. And maybe it's as a blitzer to help get some of that pressure. You alluded to from the linebacking position. He was decent in coverage as well. So you know if you bring in you know bring back Leonard Williams who help stop and fortify the run and your issues or more in terms of getting pressure and coverage Blake. Martinez might help in those two. Two categories and interesting team will see what the giants can do. Offensive Line remains a major mystery. Oh she clearly into your point pass rusher. I mean listen. The giants went into this off season with a ton of cap space. I'm not sure they address their two biggest needs. Which were both lines of scrimmage you know just you see the Thi. This is what's so frustrating. Right it's twenty twenty this past I leak and you see where certain teams are spending their money and where other teams were doing. This smartly are spending their money and their two drastically different things. This is a pass firstly to thanks things pressure and Zach the quarterback in prevent your quarterback from being pressuring getting sacked. And Right now. The giants haven't done much to improve their offensive line. After Daniel Jones was pressure more than any other quarterback in the lake and defensively like they were averaging pressure rate last year in their below average accurate so they haven't done anything to address those those two areas and they spent a lot of money. You'd have to think the giants hopefully don't screw things up in the draft because drafting at number four assuming that they don't make a move they'll have a chance for either offensive lineman or to get a defensive difference maker in the form of maybe like an is am so that'd be great if curious if Simmons You know falls there. And we've seen the Dave gettleman isn't a guy that that trades back He's been in seven drafts and hasn't trade back one chat yet so he's probably locked in their at four but you would think with some of the areas of concern you could maybe move back picker tune get more draft assets and fix a couple of holes. But I you know you would hope we're think but Hey history doesn't always become a predictive measure of future success. In as you talked about. Dave gettleman has done one thing in the draft and one thing only so we'll see if tiger can change its stripes and allow the giants to go out there and fill a myriad of holes that they still have to deal with on both sides of the ball. We talk about the secondary and James Bradberry. I mean your feelings are well known there for the giants. I know you're much more bullish on this particular move. We talked a little bit about the impact and whole that area slave trade was going to lead for League for the Detroit. Lions he of course gets shipped to Philadelphia for third and fifth round pick. Philadelphia. Signed him to a three year deal. And then when you look at the rest of the EGO secondary. Did this do enough to help a secondary that was routinely a liability. They bring in Nicole Nicole. Ruby Coleman as well and a lot more expected of Rodney McLeod von Maddix Jalen mills and will parks around their defensive backfield. I love the Robie. Coleman signing let's just put that there Listen there are two things that are very true. The secondary's not nearly as bad as the national media portrays them but it is the weakest part of the Eagles Defense. Okay and you know you throw in the film in your an opposing team. That's like devising a game plan. Here you'RE GONNA attack the secondary but if you just look across the board like Philly finished sixteenth defense pass efficiency. Ten passing success rate a lot seventeenth and explosive pass rate A lot. They obviously want improve that unit. But it's not like this abomination by any stretch the organization's savvy. They're very analytically driven. They comprehend that's compete for Super Bowl's like the secondary needed fixing and that those metrics that I kind of rattled off. They're probably aren't as good as they are on their surface because they faced the bottom ten schedule a pass offenses so they wanted to upgrade that position. And Robie Coleman certainly helps in the slot and again it's an analytically driven deem and they comprehend that the slot position is a premium position in twenty twenty and it's vastly undervalued in the market right now so smart signing their Darius slay is someone that we've talked about it nauseam on this podcast and his importance. That was a good deal for all parties. That's good business reitzle's happy. The Eagles are happy. The lions are happy. If Darius slay who's I think got a season or two or maybe three left of prime football if he can get back to his two thousand sixteen two thousand seventeen form when he actually liked playing football. This is a great sign. He aided his coach. He aided the organization he wanted out and got paid and kind of dicked around a little bit. But I think you know the hope is for the eagles and their secondary is. They're hoping for health right. Leblanc played four games when he was there last year. Allowed point eight yards per outrun avantis. Maddox played twelve games. Allowed one point two yards per outrun Sidney Jones now two years removed from a torn. Achilles put his best season together but he only played ten games. Jalen mills played nine. Games all indications are that he's going to be the guy to move to safety to film Malcolm Jank and choose there there. Is this internal shift to be position. Lewis in the secondary between mills in mathematics in parks in Robie Coleman what they want from those guys to move them around down the down right one time. The guy is going to be playing slot on time. The guy is going to be playing safety. The overall point here is I think if you can get slayed a return to form and the team is an infected with the injury bug the secondary is going to improve your when you look at the signing of Giovanni hargrave to pair alongside Fletcher Cox on the defensive. Line obviously helps any secondary. When you have two guys can get after the passer. I'm one of the things the eagles have done as well as anybody over. The last couple of years is apply pressure rate. Did they pay too? Big a premium to bring him over from Pittsburgh. I don't think so. I mean the guys in absolute monsters coming off back to back elite seasons. He can not only stuff the run but he can pressure the quarterback from the inside and he just turned twenty seven so again when you look at some of these deals what is the true money. How long is it? Where are they at in their career? So when you're signing a guy when really it looks like a two year deal. And He's twenty seven and you're fighting for a championship. I I don't mind that signing. And then when you compare him with Fletcher Cox which guy or you double teaming in the answer's probably neither and what becomes interesting is what happens with me. Jackson who you signed last off season to a big deal to pair paradox right..

"I guess their biggest offseason edition comes in the form of Ron Rivera. Who went out there and brought in familiar face trading a fifth round pick for. Kyle some interesting comments last week that said Hey if the pandemic protocol tends to get in the way for implementation of new system Kyle and cut out the inside track. I'm being there day. One starter. Do we think that's more fire up dwayne Haskins anything else or do you think when there's smoke. There's fire as it pertains to new coach in his level familiarity with his pivot under center. I think listen he. He might have the The upper hand knowing the system a little bit better I don't know of ownership's going to approve of that move Saddam would have the upper hand in pocket presence given what we saw over the last six to seven panthers. Let's put it that way. Yes I think we kind of know. Keilan is she's a guy who's GonNa come in there Knows the system. Well he's young enough. He's not probably overly threatening but he is going to at least push the man in front of him and I think he's there to to. Maybe help a little bit to get him up to speed with this new offense. You know the problem was if you bring in Cam he's going to have to be your starter and he's he's way too threatening to that situation. So I think Kyle Allen makes a Lotta sense there it's not a signing that overly large in the grand scheme of things for the redskins. I don't believe would you look at some of their other offseason editions? Not a team. That went out there and did a whole lot in the way of flashing Dash. They bolstered their secondary bit with Kendall Fuller. They bring him back. You bring in Ronald Darby yet. What feels like another running back. So I think they'll have seventy two on their roster bringing in Patan Barber. Jd mckissick familiar face for Ron Rivera. Brings Thomas Davis back but honestly pain? I mean Terry maclaurin triple coverage. Every time he goes out to run routes because I'm not sure there's anybody else in this redskins roster they can catch a pass and you're like not as high in McLaren's I am You know what is my. I've seen some public firm in showings where he's kind of like McLaren can't be number one. Well I mean I'm not sure you want to go in with McLaren being your bona fide number one if he becomes your default number one so be it but I don't care how good guys you do need some help on the other side of the ball Even redskins fans. I'm sure couldn't name some of their secondary or tertiary receiving options going into the season as things stand today. I really like Terry maclaurin. However I I want to phrase this in pitch this as the redskins are certainly trying to get help and That help can make a play for Amari I. It was more than the play. It was It was close so you know I don't WanNa crush them for not bringing in anybody. Because they were they were close and I think they kick the tires Austin Hooper's well and all of a sudden they saw the price tag on hope. Not sure we're going there but you know they do need some help on the offense of side of the ball. They realized that this is not a one year fix. This is not a one here. Rebuilt this is going to take some time. Ron Rivera was hired to bring in a certain type of culture and I think that's what he's going to try to instill in your one. Certainly you know you WANNA help. You're young quarterback and bring in some weapons. And they're going to do that. I think you probably GonNa add a veteran guy in free agency post after probably going to focus on Picking up some help there in the draft with young options. But I think defensively you mentioned some guys. Whether it's Kendall Fuller Ronald Darby or Thomas Davis like Kendall Fuller. A lot we raved about him. I think a few seasons ago in how the chiefs basically robbed the Redskins in that Alex Smith trade when Kendall Fuller is basically just throw in. He was more than a throw it. I think he was like the best slot corner that season in the entire league. So you know to me. He's a versatile guy He played in the slot a little bit last year with the chiefs but transition to save about two thirds of the way through the year so he is very flexible there. I think the redskins absolutely need some corner help. And that became an issue by what I feel like was probably the brain far to the off season trading away Quinton Dunbar for a fifth round thing for nothing. Yeah absolutely I mean this this done. Moore's top ten corner the last few seasons so only get a day. Three pick from a premium player at a premium position is is mind boggling aside from that like. I don't mind the Redskins offseason Ronald Darby is interesting. It's a one year. Prove it type deal. I think he's probably a starter based on his experience plan outside There's really not a lot of guys on this roster that have proven they can play outside corner you know. Listen he's going to have to have a big year. I'm an FSU guy. But I'm not gonNA sugar coated here. Your hope is that Ronald Darby can kind of return to form now that he's healthier and he's on this proven type deal because you know if you look at his production last year Darby was the cornerback that allowed the most yards per route. Run on the entire Eagles It was over two yards. So you know. I don't think the Redskins are done at this position. They're going to be again doing some bargain shopping in free agency. They're going to probably be drafting a player or two but either way if you look at the redskins a not very good in the secondary one of the ten easiest. Schedules faced pass offenses bottom third. In the League in defense pass efficiency and explosive pass rate allowed so that position. Some help you mentioned? Thomas Davis. Yeah he's got ties to Ron Rivera. I think he's there to be more of a locker room culture guy than like this. You know eight hundred snap contributor. He had a horrible season with the chargers last year. My feeling is Thomas. Davis is both insurance and help for Reuben Foster. If Ruben Foster need isn't fully recovered early on then Davis can can take reps as a veteran before he wears down. But I think you know when you're looking at Reuben foster extremely talented. He just needs some guidance in both the locker room and in life and I think Thomas Davis probably fills that role as well for him. But you have to imagine a redskins if they had the chance to grab chase young. It'll help if they can bring pressure on a fleeting quarterbacks knowing how questionable their defensive backfield appears to be on papers it stands right now but before we move on from the redskins pain I have to ask you about the offensive linemen which has remained the biggest question for the redskins. When is this Trent Williams situation going to find a way to resolve itself? And what can the redskins realistically expect? If they're gonNA use him as a trade ship whether it's for draft capital or for other proven asset. I would think soon you know we've said this. I think through last couple podcasts. Whether specifically or have kind of hinted at like the general ideas of how these teams operate. But you know we're getting close enough to the draft where team's GonNa see if they can resolve their remaining deficiencies in holes through the draft. If they can't that's when like the remaining veteran start to get picked up Trent Williams his agent have been like trying to seek a trade for for over a year and I think they demanded that that gets ratcheted up a few months ago but around that time there were like multiple teams interested in Trent Williams services. So you had Cleveland. You had even Seattle and one of the very first teams that made a call where the jets and Joe Douglas and from what I was told asking price was like astronomical like Washington was demanding a first-round pick and that's where some of this is getting ugly behind the scenes because trench representations doesn't believe Washington's really acting in good faith. Now I'm hearing that like Washington is is willing to take a second rounder in. Maybe something else. Washington doesn't have a second round pick in this draft. So let's see I believe they use that right last year on like moving up for Montas Sweat. Could it be? I think something like that. So they don't have a second round pick. Let's see what comes of this but you know if you're looking at Washington and or you know what they could potentially do in this draft. It'll be interesting to see how they decide to move on from him. You know it also I think is gonNA come down to what the jets in Cleveland. Do It at ten and eleven if they addressed offensive line. They're not good for Trent Williams. If neither of those guys are one of those guys. Don't take offense of Lineman at ten and eleven. Then Trent Williams makes a little bit more sense but you would think he is going to get moved near the draft whether it's a couple of days before whether it's during the draft whether it's a couple of days after if it leaks on past that Washington really starts to lose some leverage so you know that is how I kind of foresee that that unfolding. Some team doesn't get their offense Lineman of the future they go and make a play for Trent Williams at a second round in touch more level. Or you know a third round and a touch more level that that's kind of what I see coming of that situation jets become very interesting there knowing what we talked about last week how I mean. A lot of people have them slotted for either a wide receiver. An offensive lineman. But if they're able to get a deal in place it's pretty reasonable for a proven commodity. Even one that didn't play at all last season and they can get their wide receiver. Then it may make some sense for the jets. Cleveland like you said interesting as well as they can go on a variety of directions with their particular. Pick when we look at the New York giants? This was a team trying to figure out a trade between the redskins and the browns browns get through every tackle. Browns get some cap space browns. Get some other draft picks and then. Ob Jay is reunited in New York. I mean you know what if we could have a hot take session here on obt going going gone to the jets. Bang the IT if some of the guys on our lovely social media feeds. WanNa get involved. Whether they're redskins fans jets fans were browns fans. I want to throw out some of those ideas. I'm sure we could re tweet. And circulate them knowing that there are some decision makers in the National Football League that hang on your every word that comes on this podcast go there you go so when we look at the giants speaking of O. J. They go out this off season and they add James Bradbury on a three year deal shade less than forty five million. They Tab Blake Martinez from the Green Bay packers offensive. Line Cam Fleming. I I don't really know what that does for them..

"Toss Michael Kissed here with Benjamin so lack league relation espy nation. Bringing it all to you. Ben Dan what did you see from from the defense. Because I saw I saw lost. I saw some communication issues. I saw some poor tackling. There's just a lot man. I understand that Washington had a a good plan coming into it with what they were doing with Haskins. They didn't ask a whole lot from 'em lot quick passes and so on and so forth that the eagles just can't seem to get right for an extended period of time on defense. What happened to the defense that was there was holding the seahawks that was I mean that was kind of lucky to that was holding the Patriots that was holding offense is like you know even subpar offense offenses that? I would put in line with this team. Like Miami like the bills like they seem to struggle for the weirdest reasons. And it's and it's hard to contextualize why and I'm going to give you a shot at doing it because I just. It's hard for me to explain that. Oh well thank you. I appreciate that. I'm the one in charge of this. uh-huh I mean you could say you don't know either you can you can say well. Let's let's start with Italian McLaren touchdown because And this this may be this. I may save this in. This may sound crazy already listener so strap in the eagles wanted to bring pressure. So they played Ma'am coverage across the board MHM In that they want to bring pressure. They initially had players of the line to line discriminate. who were threatening to come but those players were not actually going to come? Different different players were and accordingly avant matic's who is a slot cornerback. He bailed to the middle of the field. Play deep safety because of the motion right the rock rock and roll in the safety. It's because of the motion. That's typically how they respond meanwhile Washington up pretty clear. Plastic pass situation They got a fullback. In the backfield they have to wide receivers off to the side. This is again quite frequent for them. They throw it in jail Mills Ontario maclaurin Florin which Ronald Darby on Terry mclernon. Man Coverage didn't work and was just in time agronomic coverage didn't working week one jails men coverage on Ontario McCoy and this will work in week two so we try that. And how do I say this. It doesn't work and gentlemen doesn't cover record and misses the tackle the Terry McCormick a four three five and he's been wide open space with nobody up there to get him. The Eagles continue to try to do this. And it just simply has not gone well will ever. This is the not the exact same. Look the exact same theory. The exact same concept that gave up the Julio Jones such down at the end of the game against the Atlanta to gave up the secondary slayton touchdown Obama. First half against the giants they try to blitz and play man coverage behind and do not have the personnel to do so and then next week they do the exact same thing right and like on that third and twelve. I'm going to go into the play by play now to make sure I'm just talking about it. It was third and twelve for the Redskins Adenine in the fourth. Incomplete slant route the Steven Sims. The redskins advocating field goal to go ahead by the tie game at at twenty four pretty for third and twelve fringe. Fuel Range is Jim Schwartz GonNa Blitz and play cover one behind it or zero nine two and he did again Afghan unburned on it last week. He did again which like. I respect the Chutzpah all I do. I do I really do like. You've got a coach through it. You know what I mean like. You're you're not playing well so coach through it and just continue to call the same stuff as a favorite plant. Well that coaches are maniacs. This is like on the side going running the gun thing. It's objectively stupid but I respect it this team anytime. The opponent drops back to pass is in danger of giving up seven. That's where we are. Okay what I will say what what to me. Is additive tip about this game. Is that a redskins rushing attack. That has not been that great recently. Had An impactful Bay Peterson. Sixteen for Sixty six. They had that one drive when it was seventeen eighteen fourteen. They brought all the way back exclusively running the football. That was really impressive. Drive and that that was a drive of multiple runs a believe they ran the ball seven seven times for that drives kind of control. They had the big run from Haskins on that drive as well. That's irregular for the Eagles. I don't anticipate that being weekly thing. I don't think the run defense. Subtlety going to get worse. But Mike what I say. Finish the sentence for me if the team is willing to throw the ball on the eagles. They're gonNA score thirty thirty. I mean that's what I on. MS podcasts. I've said that like four different times are willing to throw the ball into their thirty residents scored twenty seven and might be their biggest offensive output of the season. If Nari serves. It's it's one of the top two and when the eagles have even when they get opportunities in the passing game to create turnovers. They have butts for hands. Ronald Darby drop one Jenkins tipped when I get it but like that interception was there waiting in the wings. That was more bad luck or they can't create turnovers it just it just. They're allergic to it. And that just makes everything worse. Overall I mean the created greeted the turnover on the Hail Mary but the guy who seconds left great bill right so like what like. Let's let's put this in the context of like the playoffs. In the event. The first the cowboys coming up and that in and of itself matters a great deal again even beagles continue the offense put up thirty one points in this game. They put up twenty three points across five quarters in the giants game. You're going to need twenty four plus point efforts from this offense from every game here on now. The defense is not holding opponents to less than twenty four points not GonNa Happen. You're not gonNA like like again the zero point in the second half from Eli Manning. Why 'cause you could just just say Zona be okay? It does not happen. I said like Oh you know you might be able to you. This could be a game where you're able to do it. It wasn't a good ball game. Basketball game is played. You'RE GONNA give up up twenty four plus you're gonNA give up thirty Burgers you're GONNA give up even more to the best offenses in the playoffs. You're probably GONNA give up at least the Dallas. There's nothing that can be done about about that now. That ship has completely failed. You need significantly better personnel at linebacker and a corner and probably safety in order to start being a dominant defense offense and you probably need to do defense accordance well a four being honest that ship sailed right like what's interesting is what the eagles can do. In terms of time of possession with deals heels can do in terms of running the football and Carson Wentz limiting his mistakes and not giving the opponent short field. That's GonNa be the Formula Win Games so Dallas Eagles take the over because if eagles are gonNA come out and play and I expect that they will. It'll be on the opposite side of the ball. Defenses is a they do not have the personnel. or The schematic ingenuity to deal with the personnel. While playing in Amari Cooper Randall. Cobb Michael Gal Dak Prescott. Passing game won't Happen Man. It's GonNa be interesting against Dallas and of course is very very peeled for this Dallas game. I if there's more clarity on the on the deck thing too that I wanted to touch on before we get the free words they ask them twice. They asked the man twice and he said again you you just gotTa say defer and apparently the cowboys were really interested in making sure that they weren't going into the sun in the fourth quarter because you know how the Dallas stadium is constructed right catches assign. Yeah yeah this four thirty games. The Sun comes writing to your is. It's actually a really distinct advantage to not be going in to the sudden in the fourth quarter so dallas kind of tries to play its own advantage and and they know that you don't want to be going that way and they end up giving up a free possession innocent. Mrs Rose Zero as it stands now Doc just got sacked or whatever anyway Ben you want to go to three words or do you want to touch on some other things because I think there are some actually really good three words here that we can kind of expand on and and talk about here with the under the umbrella of the game here but what when I do want to talk about real quick at Ron underscore. Spur to ours says draw on third and eleven thirty and eleven is made to be one word. The only reason I'm reading this because I think this is cheating is because I want to talk about it now. I wanted to talk about these draws some very good. You might not believe this but if you go through and pull third and ten thirty and eleven thirty and twelve and when you compare the conversion rates between pass and run there are certain situations and it's actually kind of even it's as much much smaller sample size for runs. I get that. But they're actually sleep pretty equal and there are certain circumstances where running converts more than passing. It's not it's it's crazy. It's going to sound crazy but the eagles not not only converted both of those third and longs but on the first one day caught clairvoyant. Doug crossed odd right they. They ran cross dog so they got caught up. And you've got one on one was seniors against Landon Collins in space on the other one. I think they were coming with an overload to the right and they ran it over to the let like really good calls. If you thought that's what you were getting because you got the right call and you got the conversion I thought I. I don't mind those calls. I mean I know it sounds crazy. For how much we we laugh about. Establishing the Rhine and second long long runs and whatnot but those changeups have actually worked pretty well for the eagles over the past couple of years. I'm just GONNA put two numbers out there with no context you're the analysis on this podcast. West Carson wentz ends. The game was six point. Two yards per attempt Mile Sanderson's the game was six point. Four yards per carry on third and eleven tactically. The more explosive number one I think of course in check into the first one not positive. I think it's all light box checked into a don't quote me Sakhawat. It seemed like it was called in and it was a little bit of like a you know quote unquote cowards. Draw situation because at that stage on that third and eleven it it was restored in ten. You're at the twenty five thirteen forty three and you're down by four. You have yet to kind of had like you know you. You scored a touchdown to start the use. You of course is going to get the lead but there's still a ton of time left you don't necessarily in the fourth quarter. You don't necessarily want to start pushing just then I don't hate that call at all if it was a little bit of cowards draw when it sanders will we see what can happen when sanders gets the ball and the thing about a draws you got a lot of space yep vertical space to climb there be the in angle and then boost and obviously fifty six yards more than the the price of admission for short on those at all especially of course check that was carson checked into runs all game long. Yup Yeah I was about to tweet this but then I figure people yell at me so I didn't best offensive. Plays Carson made all day checking into runs and like Mile Sanders throw. Yes grave war touchdown throw. Yes Carson's very self-aware in terms of if he has a box count that he likes game four yards. That's what he needs to do in this offense and that's very important. Because if if he were not willing or capable of doing that you have so much more difficulty moving this ball down the field given the limits of their passing offense so critical for Carson to be willing and able to check in Iran's take for yards gained a second insects and then what the second hand of that ride the other side of the state. The U Pick Up is you have to be able to convert on third down. If you're going to run into lightboxes pickup for yards and roll with it. I mean Philadelphian third-down was out of this world was out of this. This World Eagles on third down eleven of sixteen. This is back to the freaking twenty seventeen season it's unsustainable but it comes up every week so it's Sustainable question mark this. They're really really good at getting into third-down calls that they like getting six yards on five getting eight yards on seven. I mean like they do who are really nice job. Winning those individual matchup sprees nap and post nap. It's good game planning as well see I. I didn't mind the third down draws if they hadn't worked to always be hearing about what they. Hey did that makes it easier to cosign them. The other thing. That Peterson did that. I want to cosign even though didn't necessarily work that well is I loved loved. Loved loved loved the fact that when they were ending the first half scores ten fourteen Washington. One forty six left. Pearson's boss taking time outs Washington nine. You're not they're gonNA take this now. He takes the first time out..

"Charts? And now, you could just feel it. The eagles had taken over the Superdome and Bobby a bear in the poor New Orleans Saints. So at this point was still for all of their history. A completely hapless organization as well. You could just feel the tide had turned the momentum was on Philadelphia side in the waves were crashing on Bobby Abe air after being pinned back near his own goal line. Reggie White came through the line for a sack and a safety on a bear. Register with. Safety. Same thing process, Iran's you're right over Bobby Abeer. Coming from a bears right knocked spanned Brock down runs over him and knocks eight down for two point safety. And then thing about it for defensive lineman. He even knows the signal that made the score twenty six to twenty a ruse field goal. Followed to make it twenty nine to twenty and then Eric Allan put the icing on the cake. The little cherry on top Jerome Brown. Devastated. Harman was one of the guys. Airbags? Buyer gallon. Get ready for Dallas. Eagle that eighteen yard interception return for a touchdown. Made the score thirty six to twenty and the eagles finally got that postseason win that had looted them for the previous four years cutting him finish the game with a ninety two point four passer rating going nineteen for twenty five for two hundred nineteen yards. Two touchdowns in an interception. It was easily the best playoff game of his career. He threw for more yards in the fog bowl, but also had three interceptions. And of course, they lost that game. And don't forget cutting him had gotten pulled in the Redskins playoff game. In nineteen ninety buddy. Ryan was just trying to do anything to try to save his job because he knew he loses that game against the Redskins. Norman brame wanted Buddy Ryan out. Anyway, it's unlikely that anything other than a Super Bowl win. And maybe even a Super Bowl win would have been able to save buddy his job. But certainly losing that game in one thousand nine hundred third straight year. They had been kicked out of the first round of the playoffs was enough was enough to. Earn buddy. Well, wasn't fired necessarily his contract was not renewed. But we all know what that means, buddy. Ryan was let go and nineteen Ninety-two Rich Kotite cleaned up with Ryan guys. And finally got that postseason win that Philadelphia had been craving for its first in eighteen years. One of the unsung heroes in that game. Of course was Sherman who ran the ball twenty one times for a hundred and five yards. Most of them just running over people heats Sherman was just a little bulldozer, and he was he had a he had a nice stretch run in the second half of ninety two never did much after that. But for that playoff run. He was he was outstanding for the eagles gaining really tough yards when they needed it. Unfortunately, the eagle's playoff run ended the following ended the following week getting blown out by the Cowboys in the divisional round of the playoffs. Thirty four to twelve that was of course, what spurred the Cowboys onto the first of three titles in the Troy Aikman Emmitt Smith. Michael Irvin trio that they would get three in four seasons and the eagles just completely outclassed in Dallas after outclassing Dallas Philadelphia on that Monday night game in week four of the season..

"Keiichiro CBS sports radio. Good morning. How are you buddy? John thanks for taking my call, man. Hey, I'm just stuck down here. I thank time is in the rain. Oh, no. We're we're we're getting nothing. But rain also believe me. Oh, hey, I know you're not talking NFL, but we're getting into it. Now. All right. Walk called last week and had to hang up and step into work and uh. But man, here's my deal. I'm not a Cowboys Homer. But I'm born and raised in Dallas Cowboys fan. Exactly. And I know that you know, you're an eagles guy. Right. Yes, sir. And Bill Parcells always said at thanksgiving. You are who you are. Well, we beat the Redskins thanksgiving and then seven days later. I don't know it's Saint had an off game or Dallas just had the best defense performance. It's had in the last ten years. But my question is this app to John then I'll hang up and get your take the first one is or the Cowboys who they were on thanksgiving and against the saints and second they beat Philadelphia today. Does it say more about where Philly is or more about the turnaround the Cowboys the, Pat and John diamonds come eat? It are you know, what I'm to do that. We will find a time to do that. I promise you. We'll do. Thank you, buddy. I would suggest that. The cowboys. First of all, our this is one positive one. Disclaimer the Cowboys are the far more healthy team. That's a disclaimer. Truth is the Cowboys are the better team that will be on the field tonight. Injuries or not. The Cowboys have been the better team through twelve games. Yes. The eagles have had a lot of injuries. But the players who have been healthy. Have not played to the standard that they've played before. So in that case, you know, my rule of thumb if you listen to this show long enough, they'll wind to me about injuries. In fact, last year the eagles won a Super Bowl not whining about injuries. They won the Super Bowl, overcoming the loss of their starting middle linebacker. They're starting left tackle their starting running back. They're starting quarterback. So I don't need anybody whining to be this year and saying well look at the injuries. The eagles have had. Yes, the eagles have had a ton of injuries. They absolutely have. But stop with the excuses. Dallas has been the better team. And you know, where Dallas has been the better team. They've been the better team along the offensive line by far and the eagles offensive line, which did a great job. Last year has not done a great job this year. I'll make a pick in that. Dallas eagles game later on. But let nobody spin anything here. The Cowboys have been the better team this year. Wine about injuries. Don't cry about making a bunch of excuses. Dallas has been the better team. Do I think that means anything moving forward pass this year? Nope. Not at all. Not at all. I know. And honestly, I will tell you as a fan of the NFC east. Anything that keeps Jason Garrett in Dallas. And keeps Jay Gruden in Washington. Sign me up for signed me up for it. I'm all for you. You tell me the Jay Gruden staying in Washington. And that Jason GARRETT'S going nowhere in Dallas sign me up because spoiler alert. I already know what those teams can do when the money's on the line and the pressures on the line and big opportunities are on the line. I already know that there's the books already written. I know the ending. I don't have to watch. It's like every single lifetime movie or what's that? What's the channel with all the Christmas movies? My wife likes the hallmark channel. Like that of already seen it. I know the movie, I know the ending and anything that keeps those guys in place is good with me as an eagles fan. But I'll be honest with you. I'm not sure that I'm not sure that the giants haven't been better coach this year. Then the eagles. And and any eagle fan using excuses. Like the injury excuse stop it. It's a bunch of garbage. Yes. The secondary is ravaged a couple of weeks ago. Five of your top six guys were out. Okay. I get it. But the other units on your team have to perform up to the capabilities. If you want me to take the injury excuse into play the other units on your team have to play up to their potential. So then I can say, well, they're just betrayed by injury. Because they're playing great everywhere else. And anybody who's watched the eagles this year knows they're not playing great everywhere else. And anyone else who's trying to spin it that way? Well, it's just injuries. That's a it's a bunch of garbage. And don't fall for it. I said before. I really believe this Rams bears game tonight is huge. Because it's the saints that everyone in the NFC should say we cannot allow the saints to get home field advantage. If you're going to be one of the playoff teams. You have to wake up this morning. Look yourself in the mirror and be honest with you. Be honest with yourself be honest with the fan base. If you're an NFC team that has dreams of going to the Super Bowl and ending up in Atlanta. You cannot let the saints have home field advantage because I'll go on go on record right now. Right at in sharpie. Saints get home field advantage. Saints are coming to the Super Bowl period. They are. Put the Rams. They want the Saint staff to travel. I don't think I don't think the Rams are winning. If they have to go to the Superdome to try to win. I don't believe. So I don't believe that they in that atmosphere, which by the way is a real homefield advantage with the ramp which Rams do not have. I don't believe they're winning in that situation. I I don't see that happening. It's a huge huge game. I want to see about the chiefs. How did the chiefs bounceback? How did the chiefs lose one of their best players show that they're not going to skip a beat? Is that going to happen? And we're gonna talk to Matt Chatham coming up. As the New England Patriots. And I talked about it the first four last year. When you got to the final four last year. Yet Minnesota and the eagles. Eagles win in the Super Bowl. They're six and six this year. Minnesota the runners-up. Six five and one. Now New England's their usual. Great nine in three. Even though that that great is disappointing many New England fans. And then you had the Jaguars at four and nine right now. Last year's final four teams twenty five twenty three and one. If my numbers are, right. That's one of the worst runs to this point in the season by the final four teams from the year before in something like two decades. The NFL's fluid goes year to year, we see this. Man, this is pretty ugly. Matt chatham. He knows a little bit about the insides of winning Super Bowls being part of those teams. And I'm going to ask him the handicap the field we're gonna look at the field of contenders. And if he's New England does he feel that he's ready to take another stroll to the Super Bowl in Atlanta, the jonky Kato CBS sports radio. This is the John Kincaid show. My number two does not look like a number two. I don't know what to call it. Is there? A number three. Table.

"And we saw games like the saints tormenting the falcons the other night. The chiefs Rams game. Which was one of the most entertaining uses of my time ever is an NFL fan. Absolutely. Awesome. I wanted to somewhat historical perspective of things Anthony pianist said one you should go to a twenty two year. NFL veteran in Sean Landeta who seen it all in his time. And he joins us here. The Jackie Kate show. Sean when you were watching Monday night. Chiefs Rams what was going through your head as just the ex football player that played the NFL for more than two decades? And then the fan was the same opinion of of what you were saying. Well. I mean, I've found myself like most fans liking what I was seeing just the amazing amount of offense in the game. They're worse than that's a place to talk about. There's no defense in the game. But defensively they were a lot of big plays made. But it took me back to a game I participated in almost thirty years ago same situation. I was with the giants. We played the forty Niners. We were both ended one. The game was seven two three seven two three. What's considered a great game back and forth at the time. And I just thought you know, if that game was played today. All we'd be talking about is how boring this game was especially watching what I did the other night. I mean, I'd never seen anything like it. I don't think any of us did. But it seems like that's what the fan what shall was it this. I think what the NFL wants because every rule that they pass is in favor of offense. And by the by the ratings of the highest score. Do you realize the highest scoring games combined scores in the NFL this year? All fall in the top ten games. If you talk about the top five scoring games. They all fall in the top five top ten ratings games. So fans love the offense. They're coming to the table for it. No, you're right. You look at the rule changes that such different game than it used to be. I don't think so much for the negative certainly defensive coordinator. I don't like it and traditional folks like to see the, you know, fourteen to ten games a little bit more. But listen, you know, the leagues made these rule changes as you said it always benefits the offense. And there's no question. These games are very exciting with all this scoring Sean. You know, what it's like the championship organization and as an eagles fan. I'm shocked by the foreign six record at this point. And I know there are reasons, but I don't believe there should be excuses. This is a to me in a Bismah way to follow up a championship. Well, it is. And unfortunately history says that the eagles aren't alone here. I mean, I was fortunate to be on to Super Bowl winning teams. And I remember we all looked at each other. Like, you know, hey, we're going to be back next year. We're all the same guys. And it didn't happen. We didn't get to the playoffs. The next. Year either time and a lot of teams have not seems like unless you're the New England Patriots. You have a hard time getting back, and there's a number of reasons for it. But the AFC being one of them. Yeah. Yeah. It's sort of helps that's New England a lot. Yeah. There's no question that has, but you know, this year with the eagles are very similar to what I experienced in the past. You know, you you have a seventeen nothing lead in the fourth quarter. You lose you have a seventeen three lead the fourth quarter another game, you lose, you know, a couple of these things go differently. We're not talking about this. But it's what's happened in your right? You know, the eagles inner situation where if they lose today to the giant basically their hopes for winning the NFC east and any other team wouldn't even have a chance because the NFC this year's we know has been so poor. If you're a if you got to put a paycheck down Dallas eagles Redskins who wins the east. You got to put a paycheck down, Sean. I'm in now, I want I want some big money late on this. You know? No disrespect to their team in their group. But sorry to say that I would have to go with the Cowboys simply because you know, they do have a two game lead. And remember, there's only five games left a lot of games left here. And I look at the eagles. I don't think they're going to beat grams that gives them seven losses. So they'd have to win every other game to be nine seven Dallas has several home games left right now. I think they're the favorite to Cowboys of the favorite. But let's see what happens if the eagles can win today. It gives them a great. The are the giants playing themselves out of a great opportunity to replace Eli manning next year. I don't feel that way. A lot of people. Do you know, obviously, if you're not going to get to the playoffs, you you talk about getting a better traffic. But remember over fifty percent of these first round draft picks don't work out. And it's even higher for quarterbacks. I mean this past year we had five quarterbacks taken in the first round. And for all these young men. I really hope it works. But history says three of a market turn out. So I know that's not a reason you don't pick for one. But I think you go out and play the best. You can go to your fans yourself and don't be a good player there next year wherever they pick Sean Landeta joining us twenty two year NFL vet joining us here jonky Kate show CBS sports radio in the if I was to give you the the saints and the Rams and the chiefs and the patriots. Those are the final four teams who's the best team of that four. And who's the worst team in the four? Patriots. Patriots chiefs. Yeah. Record wife. Ironically, it's the patriots. And I don't know that they're not the best to those four. They don't have the best record. And I do feel of Kansas City can get them the AFC cuddle game at Kansas City. They can beat them. I mean, they can beat them in New England. But if you're much easier at home. Right now, we stand here the New Orleans Saints are the best team. But again, if they have to go play an LA for the NFC title game and New England has to travel the home teams. I would choose. But very exciting year. You've got those four teams you mentioned that all about your enjoying each week. But at the same time, we can't wait to see those four hopefully square off in January, Sean, I just made you an NFL general manager. You gotta you're taking over a franchise. In fact, you're taking over the Browns. Okay. And you have and you have every NFL head coach their contracts up. You can hire anyone you want who we hire? I think being everybody else would hire Bill Bella check. I would just because he's done what he's done if I had to pick one. I would take him. I tell you right now. I'd be looking at Sean McVay. Good choice, and I'd be I'd be willing to try it. I'd be willing to try it and roll the dice and say I'm going to go with this young guy with the tremendous upside. And no one could argue with you for that. That would be a great choice. But if I could pick one I took ballot check did you too much this weekend. Here's their heart. You know, what one of the one of the first times? I didn't affect my wife said to me. Are you feeling? Okay. I said, yeah. Why is she? You only had one with. That for now. So for whatever reason everything was great. She always does a great job. But I guess it was a good thing. But it it was great. I hope your thanksgiving. Also. Thank you so much. Appreciate it. "Brett Maher lines up for a field goal. Mike Mayock some tempers starting to flare the stands to our left other some cowboy jerseys in front of some eagles fans in that little boy. Yeah. That's never good forty two yard field goal. Try for Brett Maher trying to make it a sixteen to six ballgames snap ins. Now, the kick is all the way for Maher. Good. He missed it wide to the right? This is fourth of the season and the eagles. Keep the Cowboys off the scoreboard with seven thirty nine to go in the third. Jones got a doubt got the lace spot bomber just pushed that one to the right? They cut Dan Bailey in training camp. And that was kind of a controversial move. But the young kid mohair kick Burg very well until missing a field goal. Very important field goal against Washington and a three point loss. Maher misses this one see if that comes back to haunt the Cowboys whose lead remains seven with seven thirty nine to go in the third and Carson Wentz. And the eagles will take over first and ten thirty two yard line. Three receivers to the right of the line wants out of the shotgun. Small to his right. The give to Smallwood sweeps left side got one block of a stiff arm trying to stiff are band rash out of his way that didn't go well for small would throw into the turf and the thirty five yard line after a pickup of three good block out in front by Jason Kelsey, probably the most mobile center in the entire NFL. But this band director first round pick at two hundred and fifty five pounds. He can run with Sean Lee injured in Sean lease one of the best linebackers in this NFL by far, but he's injured so often, and he makes so much money. Now, Dan rash is next up and lease out again with a hamstring. Second down at seven at the thirty five yard line from the gun went square action. Throws a quick slant. Low throw, but a good throwing catch to Jeffrey at the forty five yard line that was low by design that time Geoffrey went down to get it for the first. Now, I think Carson throws that ball. Well, as anybody in the leg, and it's just a it's it's an RPO quick quick fake to the running back. And then the slant the Jeffrey I think he feels comfort by the size of Jeffrey who's able to get the defensive back on his back. A Wuzhou was that defensive back on his back? First and ten forty five three receivers left to the line. Jeffrey second catch. He's got twenty one yards receiving. Adams the running back play action whence with time pressure comes now. He's in trouble. And what's it's going to be sacked? He pumped once he pump twice dropped at the forty four yard line in the arms of tyrod proper. I thought he had Zakar it's about twelve to fourteen yards on a deep end route. And as he climbed the pocket as you said, he hitched onc- hitched again didn't pull the trigger. There was a lot of traffic in the middle of the field. I think he was concerned about another turnover. Second Dallas sack. Four eagles sacks tonight. Second and eleven at the forty four yard line up. Philadelphia left to right with the eagles in his third quarter with three receivers to the right of the line. Carson Wentz is in the shotgun. Gets the snap. Looks to the left steps in the pocket. Throws left side high knocked away. Jeffrey went up for got his hands on it. And as he tried as it of way to pull it back. Jalen Smith with one hand through riverside. Jeffrey was on a deep outbreak in about fourteen fifteen yards and he was sandwiched in between the safety heath in the linebacker. Jalen smith. Very difficult fro and and almost impossible catch for Jeffrey Maui third and eat eleven at the forty four. They are own for five tonight on third down. Haven't heard Dallas Goddard at all tonight. Which is surprising. He's been emerging recently. Matthews emotion on the right side of the line. Whence gets the shotgun. Snap four-man pressure for the Cowboys. Throws right side. It is out of bounds toward a map news crossing to the near sideline at the thirty eight of dark thrilled by Carson Wentz and Matthews with the catch for the first hour. He had plenty of time to throw the pony needed. It for Jordan Mathews working on the Nickelback Anthony Brown really nice job by him stepping into the throw and putting it right on on the sideline I conversion tonight on third and it's a big one gets Philadelphia to the Dallas thirty eight yard line. I out at ten pick up on the play for the Philadelphia Eagles a trail at thirteen to six. Whence awaiting the shotgun. Snap delay. Now. Quick toss on thirty took a big hit at the end of the catch at the twenty six yard line. But he swings back up like a weeble. Xavier woods with the tackle at its first. Now, we will wobble. But they don't fall down. And and I'll tell you what he did take a big hit. And that was another RPO, and that's a tough guy. Catch right there. He knew he was going to take the head. He protected the football got down low. That's by the way, he's on the sideline right now. All teammates coming over and hugged him. And thank them for making that physical. I down ten at the twenty six of Dallas eagles on the move down. A touchdown Wentz. Crouching gets the shotgun. Snap gives it to Adam's. Adam's picks his way up the middle band rash with the tackle twenty two yard line. Four yard gain though. One of the more successful runs of the night for the eagles. Which kind of says something about with eagles run game has been for most of the night. And you know, I keep talking about the lack of a big back at center, but but it really comes down to the offensive line. And and I don't think the offensive line has been his healthy or consistent as it was a year ago, and that's reflected in all aspects of game. Wait Johnson, of course out tonight. He suffered a left knee injury in London against the Jaguars. Fifty three yards rushing tonight. Legal second down along five wall in between the twenty one and twenty two of doubts Adam stays in tale. Back to the right of Winston the gun play action. Swing pass galore on the right side. One on one and galore goes up the sideline close to the. I doubt Bank down just shy of a sixteen yard line. By Damian Wilson. First time we've called the name of Damian Wilson psych galore still.

Michael Thomas of the saints caught a touchdown pass. And then immediately ran to the goalpost and lifted up the cover at the bottom of the goal post to pull out a phone. Yes. Cell phone to use his celebration. Like he was calling somebody well Megan's laughing in costs New Orleans fifteen yards on the. I'm sure a fine will be calling. You can now celebrate. But you can't use props. You can't use prox-. Yes. Now, if you're among those who were saying yourself, well, how did he know? He was going to score a touchdown at all. And if he did he know it was going to be in that end zone. Well prior to the game he planted a phone in van both zone. Of course, he did. And I think he's probably I don't know what the fine is going to be. But he will get a fine kind of a forgettable stunt if he asked me like as far as is anyone going to remember this a week from now, I can't believe you put that much thought into it. Sure, they will really. I still remember the sharpie still remember the Smurfs. Smurfs. And on a sad note. Number thirty in your program, number one in your heart. Bill brown. Former running back of the Minnesota Vikings passed away in a nursing home at the age of eighty for those of you not old enough to remember. I do thirteen years as a Viking from nineteen sixty two through nineteen seventy four how good was Bill Brown. He still holds the Vikings record for games. Played by a running back still holds the Vikings record for most consecutive games. Played by Vikings running back. Second in game started second in rushing attempts and fourth all time in yardage for the Vikings behind. Oh, just a couple of guys named Adrian Peterson Robert Smith in Chuck foreman. Yes. "Let's go to our frisky team of the week. Frisky. Click, I now we'll start with Willie here, so I'm going to Washington Redskins. They went down there. They played details off six point favorites, but I also feel like Alex Smith center where he left sending. He let the situation with Patrick Mahomes. You would think that maybe he'll be on the downslide though he played well enough, and I was be honest, I'm a Adrian Peterson fan, lightweight, Adrian Peterson, he looked good. I like joint arena and so and I think their defensive line is sneaky. Good. They got to kick them out Obama. I think pain, right? Doesn't name him. So I for me the Redskins. You ain't gotta figure Dallas eagles giants. That's all they talk about. You don't hear enough about the Redskins team will watch. See to me, I feel like he's done. Oh, frisky means because I was a whole stems from the rundown. Yeah, and frisky to me means you can't be one and all you can't be winning games and Alex Smith. By the way, he's the most districts affected player in the NFL. All he does is put up ten to eleven wins every year and get passed over every year. For me. So I, I don't think you can say the Redskins are frisky. My frisky team is the forty Niners. So forty Niners play the Vikings law. They actually made a game out of it. I mean, Jimmy Julian play, will He he. threw ball. He threw three interceptions, but there are team that I could see consistently losing tough games all season long. So there my frisky team of the year, but I think we all have different definitions of, I. Right? I thought it was gonna team that doesn't get enough love. That's how our proceeds. I was going to be like, yours. Yours to me like the Redskins would be. Are you a believer team like they're one in? Oh, are they the real real deal? The jets would be? Are you a believer if the forty Niners win at homeless weekends line? There's like six point favorites with that. Make them frisky. I think they'll just mean they wanna game. There's play. They just happen to be playing the lines this week who? Okay. Right now maybe the worst league can I, I'm putting the dolphins as my first type that makes them frisky to intercept will. I think specifically this week they'll be, I mean, they just beat a playoff team last week at home. The weather delays. I, I e is a team that consistently loses, but plays tough. Okay. That's like a frisky team. Well, this week I think the dolphins are my this game is I all over it. We talked about it on the after show, but I've seen the jets lose this game a million times to the dolphins, everyone's hyped them up. It's a whole name, lay downstairs competition adopt. We're gonna win. Probably thirteen ten. Even see like a weird squirrelly. Fourteen eleven, absolutely insane store score. So the dolphins ending. You're gonna really. So we'll have different definitions. Yes. Yeah. We might just scratched the segment. I am out a loop on the dolphins because of that game that was so wacky when no-one, by the way his answer this question for me when did rain delays and weather delay what it was. Lightnings Lightnings since when has that always happens in Florida? How close does it. So who played football was weather delays. Oh, bullshit. So it when there's a siren that goes off, I don't know what they call it like the thunder alert system, whatever lightning and literally it's like a, it's like a scream. Like horn goes off. You hear it to recipe like bringing in and we, this time remained every every team has it that they're practicing. It's mainly Florida teams. The bucks have at least once. Happens all the time regular season. I know right now being fed misinformation. I know growing up in the early, like as of, let's say, seven years ago, there were no weather delay. Lightning came. He played through it. It very seldomly happens in the north. It's actually lightning delay. It remains. Tampa, only light thunder, fine..

"Plus teams gear up for you skill. They get ready to off season. When you come there, the Super Bowl champion. I remember, you know, winning the Super Bowl endeavor. I'm on the conference call and they preface everything, and then you wonder SuperBowl last year, how do okay? We know we wonder Super Bowl that team that we come into face. They know we won the Super Bowl. They elevate their level of play fans in the stands. They wanna beat the defendant, Super Bowl champ because that gives them credibility. They might not make the playoffs, but what can they fall back on? We'd be Super Bowl champs, so let's get this is how it works is not easy. That's why only one team has done it in the last twenty years. The patriots did an oath three. Oh, four. So did the patriots get fat and happy? Did they have hang over land because they had an opportunity? Repeat, no team played better. You? Did they see Attal? Did they get fat and happy? No, just play better. Made a few more plays. I don't believe. I don't believe the Philadelphia Eagles got fat and happy, but you do have to guard against injuries and they got injured at the one position that you really don't want to have that the quarterbacks give them. He had a very serious will agent Peter. Adrian Peterson didn't terriers AC mailsail. He tore his ACL MCA did Elsie l. is a whole different ball get is Adrian Peterson also is superhuman. That's that's an anomaly and see the thing is giving that APD and they try to no, no, no, no, you can't do what APD you're gonna take a little longer, but Philly. It'd be just fine. The loaded on defense. They got a lot of injuries. Alshon gonna miss two or three weeks Carson's not there, but if Nick foles who use eight years, this shouldn't be a problem. Yeah, it's going to be a problem because Nick foles is gonna play very well tomorrow night against the falcons, and they're going to win that game because of Nick foles in, it's going to create more and more of a quarterback quandary as Carson Wentz is cleared to play, and I believe he will be sooner than later. And then what are you going to do? Coach Peterson, Dougie pe- as you call him when ready is choking, he is coming apart. He's. Is coming unglued trying to handle this controversy because he's never been thrust into this kind of spotlight. I'm going to remind you again just ten years ago. He was a high school coach in Shreveport, Louisiana, and now he's facing a whole new set of problems. I agree with you on defense. They are loaded. So the defense is going to keep them a lot of close games. Are they going to win those close games? I think they'll lose a few of them depending on who the quarterback is because I'm gonna remind you just a year ago. Carson Winston is rookie year wasn't very good. That was really good. His rookie year Carson really struggled. They went seven and nine and nobody saw them coming last year one year ago. Right? This minute. Nobody was picking Filadelfo to get to the Super Bowl or win the division. Right. So will they be a playoff team? I think they will, but I don't think they're going to win the division. That's just the oldest. It's loaded. You go to NFC South Carolina and Atlanta if slip just a little bit back across. That fine line between winning and losing. You're gonna miss the playoffs. Greet people dug about the Packer, Minnesota Green Bay. You like you like Dallas eagles. I mean, somebody somebody's gonna miss. Yes, be left and Al Sean, Jeffrey is not available right now. And he was there an Kwan Bolden last year. He was that guy who made that catch at that moment where he's got such a huge radius..
