"But now you've got so many different types of racetrax venues that were going to. That is hard as a driver to get into a rhythm they just finished atlanta. And even though there's not many tracks like atlanta now he's talking about dirt track and then they go to short-track martinsville young then before long. You're going to a brand new road course and austin's just so many things coming up. It's hard to get into a rhythm as to what you need to do. Changes you need to make as a driver and as a team to make yourself better as an organization and be what you want to be in which is championship worthy so a lot of work. And i know they're going to get that they've got all the backing from ford and so there's a lot of extra hours being put in to make sure that they give kevin harvick what he needs and the rest of their drivers to to compete at a much higher level. Yeah you makes some great points there. Dj about the schedule as well. I mean five more road courses coming up here in the regular season daytona raise another talladega race. There's a lot of wildcards ahead. And we heard rodney children's harvey's crucial say last week that the team lost seventy counts of downforce. Because of the way nascar's inspecting the cars right now so couple all that with the fact that oh by the way nascar's also switching new new car next year. How much time and resources could you invest in the career car in the past. I think and you said it really well. I didn't. It's a testament to harvard. Leadership of that team that he still does gritted out and finished tenth of atlanta. No quit and kevin harvick clearly and that's double leadership that that's been great for stewart haas racing since he's been there but yet it seems like they're all these extenuating factors this year. Especially where digging out of this hole is going to be. Maybe tougher than it ever has been for him in this team yet. No doubt about that and and all of those tracks and different tracks that you mentioned only brings up the fact that we're looking at possibly more winners than we've ever seen in a season. So that if kevin hart is going to go to victory lane at some point in time somewhere. I have to believe that but when when you talk about bristol and and these road courses and i got talladega and daytona as you mentioned Still as as such wildcards the competition. Yeah it's really close for the most part. But i think these venues open up. Opportunities martinsville is another one of those. Yeah we we have certain people that we know. Run well there But but that race always brings us something different than what we're kind of expecting so you just talk about so many chances for different winters and then that just starts putting more pressure even on the most experienced and the better teams. That are accustomed to winning. I mean kevin harvick won nine races last year. And you know hasn't even really sniffed being close to win here So far. I realized we're only six weeks and six races in But no for them not to be in a position yet to even think about a a win know. They've struggled to get kevin a car that could compete close to the top five. And that's kind of what you have to do before you can think about winning so a lot of work but as each week goes by and you're struggling continuously then that only adds more pressure to everybody all of a sudden you start trying to make major changes in your cars and if what nascar is doing now with the inspections and you talk about the seventy pounds downfield. That's that's a ton for these guys. It's what they're looking day of built their entire car around this. And when that's taken away all of a sudden you're set ups and the things that you were doing to make kevin harvick the driver that he is and giving him the equipment to compete all of a sudden. That's gone away so now you're starting to search and when you start searching especially in the middle of the season when you don't have practice you're not allowed to test that could make for a very very long your as you mentioned it really interesting trend here to start the year gonna make some drivers nervous if they don't get that win. I don't know how many guys are getting on points. But the twenty twenty one season opens with six races. Six different winners. The last time a season opened with that many winners was two thousand and three nine drivers won the first nine races that year and two thousand ten drivers won the first ten races. So my question. You d jamie. D. does the trend continue and especially with the bristol. Dirt race coming up next week and again those courses we mentioned does a trend continuing and does the cup series possibly get to more than sixteen winners for the first time in the regular season here while the last part. I think there's a very real possibility that we look at fifteen or sixteen winter's here which you know we really didn't think that was possible but because we have these new young drivers that have come in and done their job Then i think that makes it a very viable that that that could happen because when you look at it and what's taken place in these first six. I would say that probably true junior might be the only one that you sat down and said in these first six races that a he would be a winner. I i mean. I think we all knew larsen was gonna win was a union that quickly Was the thing and so. Yeah i think that that. There's a lot to be determined because we have some very talented driving and drivers that we know and expect to to go too big for lane that are gonna do that. so I don't know if it'll continue when you look at. We don't know what to expect this weekend. This is gonna be incredible. I mean taking cars that that are in no way shape or form are they designed to run on dirt and especially you bank dirt track like this is but but when you look at who has the chance to to go there and win or your best options. Well when i look at that. I think of two drivers that have already one that that i put in the top three that that i know that are so good on dirt and that obviously is larson and christopher bail. I i think that that they probably are the two best Own dirt. But i would put in there very close to that of driver that hasn't won yet. And that's austin dillon. Who had a great day at atlanta also and that team's running well but you know austin's really good on dirt to and then you throw in others. That really are good older. Can they get themselves in a position to make all of this happened. Stay out of trouble. I don't know how you do that. I've never wasn't good on dirt in. And so i don't know how you can do that in cars especially that. That aren't going to drive very well. I in this situation. But you have to think about ricky stenhouse Who's been on dirt a lot for his career and does a good job hungry for a win and a heke always runs good at bristol.

"For details. You said and I ask you right off the bat. You said it hasn't sunk in yet. And my questions, a little bit more personal I guess from the standpoint that your dad built this team with Gene Haas Your Dad I remember your dad dragging to the racetrack with this team with a multitude of drivers, and do the years now to come and be a part of the team that your dad runs and has helped build in in the winter race. How big is that for you? And how do you think he feels about it? It's it's huge I. Mean Honestly I mean my dad's obviously I'm. He has played a big role, but at the same time you WanNa make all those people proud in that shop I mean that's the biggest thing I mean I think as a rookie I. Mean there was some races? I was not proud of at the start of the year in These guys at the shop they put their. Their hearts into it and I think the to come out of here with a win. I mean just it makes you feel happy that you took advantage of the cars they build, and hopefully you can kind of fit into the shop and fit in more, and it's just a matter of you gotta earn their respect. Still it's just part of it Colt. My next part is going to be more of. We've heard Kevin and Danny and other winners talk about how strange it is to get out of their car I hate. Fans be? There is saying after they've won. A hate the fact that you didn't get standing ovations from fifty. Thousand fans after making that leuven winning that race, but what was it like getting out with not having fans there? Yeah. It was definitely weird. I mean that's probably the strangest one ever had but I'll take it. I mean that's a I. Don't care how it went in. It's unbelievable day. I! Mean I'm just so thankful for everything I've been a part of. It's just unbelievable. Feeling I mean all these people that are behind me right now I. Just have amazing team in their solo law that we can do better, and we're going to keep trying to work on what we will. We can call following up on that. Obviously visually, it's different. It's one year to the day that you WANNA xfinity. Xfinity series race at Kentucky your typical celebration pre Kobe. Times would be found in a couple of beers. Obviously a visually. We see you're in a public place. Appreciate you wearing your mass and we're coming to you from home, so you talk about how different it is, but you just want another jukebox and you're twenty two years old. Can we put that in perspective? Do you even know what a Jukebox is win? Will you do? Your celebration back there at home I guess. I'm pretty pissed off. They didn't have any Bush lights there in in victory, lane, but Well. Hopefully. I can put the Juke Boxes on Bluetooth together and get her. I mean that. Be Cool, but I mean I think I had I don't even know what to think, but last year I fell off the car. When I want to do so I wasn't very proud of that one, but at least I didn't do that. You had a great run in Indianapolis. a week later. You come in here now. You're in the all-star event You're a cup winter. What does this do for this team? And for your confidence? Heading into to the rest of the season headed into the NBC part. We're going to get watch. Flourish of because this the NBC Tom Now. Yeah I. Mean it's huge I mean just it kind of gets the monkey off your off your back. Just trying to you can bring some more confidence in it into it I mean. You really don't WanNa get lazy 'cause. There's still a lot of things that I can improve on, and I think we can do better, but at the same time I think it's something where you do you. You'RE NOT GONNA. GonNa go into the racetrack second guessing yourself as much so it's just a lot less stress I. Guess is the biggest thing you you're. The first one to win of that rookie group by you know that Christopher Bell in Tyler radic are push. You guys all three finished in the top ten our getting ready to maybe watch a changing of the guard a little bit. You young guys coming in. I don't know I. Mean those guys are pretty good. But. I mean honestly this whole rookie class I mean I mean me tyler. Christopher John Hunter. I mean all those guys have run so good this year I mean I. Think it's just a matter of you know it's just GonNa keep getting better and better as we get more experience with the cars and I think it's I'm just you gotta focus on yourself there. You gotTa make yourself better. Every race and I think we've done that. Well. Congratulations, also making some people a whole lot of money your odds coming into this race three hundred zero one congratulations on your First Cup win and we're going to have some fun watching the race later this. I appreciate it. Thank you..

"You listen to podcasts. Yeah, you think about what you're thinking about a guy like that. I think about Alex Bowman Right. He he kind of did the same thing when he was driving a car that no one expected to run will he was consistent with it in Reckitt got good finishes. That's the way you take the next step in the sport you know John. Chang Claw, and he's he's grind. He's trying to stay up and he's doing a good job representing so well. Let's move into the future a little bit, so i WanNa ask you dele jared I mean this is a compliment. You've been around a long time. You see a lot of stuff. Would you have ever thought that you'd be going to the Indianapolis Motor speedway go to run a road course and they cars, a Gorse with indy cars in the next day Iran the brick yard four hundred with the cars on two days. Did you ever imagine that happening? Now, you said a lot of things there. That could never imagine. Before nineteen, ninety four came along Jevon in one of those being that stock cars would be there a racing eight Indianapolis. Motor speedway, I always thought growing up that as I got into racing that I would never have that chance at the world's most famous speedway of, but as we know that worked out and I, always. Always loved racing there, but then you never thought they were gonNA put a road course Indianapolis Motor speedway, so that happened for a indy cars in Formula One a now we've got the expensive cars and indy cars running there on Saturday, and that's just amazing to think that the two different sanctioning bodies have come together and make this happen for historic weekend This is just incredible. What's? Take Place. They're going to get some practice on I. Ending go racing on Saturdays. Okay, this is just going to be amazing. And then we're going to send the Cup ours out there with no practice, no qualifying no nothing to tackle this difficult two and a half mile racetrack. I'm just so glad that I'm round to see this happen of because again, I. Don't think of US thought that this. This would be something that we would really witness, but glad to say that that motorsports has come together for motor sports. Fans of all kinds yeah. Bravo's to the decision makers, and the list is long. People think it should be an easy decision, but it's not a lot of very important. People had all their heads together in a room to figure out how to pull this off, not done it. The really circled for this weekend for me is the extent of race on the roads. Hard used to run across the street this short track of the speedway, but they never had their own identity. And this is their opportunity to have a marquee event to not be like the cards to come in Indianapolis you the only saw cars are run on that road. Course at how mark you of then look at chase, briscoe off a big win. Awesome singer Kaz net so many road courses already on the extending series normal schedule. Listen very talented racers. There are really looking forward to that event is going to be a ton of fun. And I can't wait to watch. Competitors watched pen right like I can't wait to see the INDYCAR hack drivers ingineers crew want to extending is and vice versa. Let always the most fascinating to me for watch. People allowed know how hard it is in whatever discipline they have, and appreciate what they're seeing series. While one thing. We know they all WanNa. Do They WanNa follow the tradition that are mad? Dale Jarrett started out there and kissing those bricks after winning indy. We're back. "Help us wants the situation. In the conversation, the last six or seven, it raises a lot more than he had earlier in the year. He's figuring out ready. We already talked about quite a bit kosters one. Quite figure out. He's done nothing wrong. He's done nothing great. He's having out. Define is a rookie year at the cup level except these other guys closed. I works of out actually if I pull custer's critique this week i. sit him that another. He's doing everything. He's just fine. I don't make sure my rookie doesn't stark up. With some of these other runs Seattle young drivers I think he can pull it off I. reject no practice is only made evening or mentioned that tens of he kind of flash right back at Donaldson. That might be lost a little bit the back at Pocono. I saw driver. That's made very few mistakes was pretty wrestling. Restart. Your DJ reminds me of the Veterans Iran. Content Michael's run eight to twelve Ryan to just run whereas oester run. They didn't bring a near for fireworks. Just don't wreck on behind. He seems like a wide metro. Yeah, it's been really interesting to watch them. And you'll most of these drivers a pretty much. All of really good equipment but again you can be in the very best equipment, and if you don't have experience at a racetrack, you're not getting breakfast. Breakfast on to follow other grammars and see what they're doing or to figure out and try to make it better. Then you're putting yourself in a really difficult position, so we know all of the the top names, their of these rookies, and what a great rookie class! It is I'm GonNa talk about two drivers Jeff. Rawle one this far from a rookie in Matt. Kenza talking about how difficult this is to come. Come back and drop these cars now because they have changed so much, and that just shows you the difficulty of that, so that leads me to my other rookie John. Hundred Nemechek is when the team that isn't nearly as well funded as these robbers have a, but he's not an outstanding job. Is He? GonNa make the playoffs in the city. Probably not, but he makes enough noise on a regular basis and you. You can just see him improve as a driver in the teen getting better also and I. It's just fun for me to watch him. especially. Since Jeb we saw him and watched him grow up into motorhome lot for so many years into the this young man now is is going out there and taking a car with a team that is not as well funded by doing an outstanding job on weekly basis. "Yeah, always always always, and here's the thing I I I think the one thing as a driver whether you're joy, Lagaan whether you're Denny Hamlin an or whether you're chase Elliott. Expectation expect somebody to run INDIE. That's going to happen at risk. You've got to expect it. You've got to be prepared for a couple of things. I I think I look at that, and and as you mentioned Krista. These guys already have wins, but look at how they're driving. Look at how much how important a NASCAR Cup Win Each and every one of these guests, but especially a Nascar Cup win at Bristol. That is A. Big Feather in your cap. I'm telling you man, so I, I think when you look at it shows these guys aren't disowning in. They're not just Melanin insane here. We're just GONNA go to the racetrack. Not have any practice. They come to win. It come to win every week. I think that came through today maybe more so than anything else, but I'm GonNa, I gonNa go to the joy says it's challenged. That's heat of the moment. Talk, I, I. Think Chase, you know he apologizes, but let's go back to Darlington and it seemed like cow. Bush was trying. Trying to apologize with chase wasn't having any of that, so it really depends on which side your own. At what point? In time during race? Joey was on the Chase Elliott sad here at Bristol. Okay and chase Elliott was on the couch Bush side of that coin. So you know if you're gonNA, it's it's the same old thing. If you're gonNA dish, you gotta take. That's the way it has made. You gotTA. have thick skin. If you're going to throw it out there and be mad at somebody you've got expect somebody would be mad at you. This is just. A chase fired up in the corner. Why because he wanted to win the race? He felt like he had a better car. He felt like it would stick. It didn't stick. Have we ever seen joy Lugano do that every ever seen. Jimmy, Johnson do that or Kevin. Harvick our number of others. Yes, yes, you count on that thing sticking, but it doesn't always stick. They can get test that it doesn't always go where you point but you know at Bristol you'd expect when somebody fires it off in the corner under you with two and a half or three laps to go on the last lap is going.

"Hello and welcome the motor sports our your home for all things racing on Parker cooking and this is Nate Ryan. That's age owner and you might be noticing a lack of KRISTA Voda. They decide bringing the perfect Christmas not here. No I'm leaving. We're on our own yeah. You probably should leave. We need some help on this one and down in Charlotte we have our hall of Famer Dale Jarrett. Thanks for joining US Bud I wanNA start off with. We have so much racing having this weekend. What is the big story lines? You'll be watching this weekend. Well I think the biggest thing every time you go to Kentucky you think about the racetrack just the difficulty of it and and I think this rules package could provide something we haven't seen a lot of side by side racing but at some very difficult situations for these drivers to get in and then of course there's always the points as we get down closer to the end of the regular season. We've got a lot of drivers that are right there. That aren't being feeling very comfortable right now. In their position in <hes> as far as the standings go so I think these store lots and they kind of go hand in hand on a difficult racetrack and where they might end up after Saturday night's over I agree with you. I think when you look back at sixteenth seventeenth eighteenth nineteenth I mean that bubble there from Ricky stenhouse this junior up too big to me and I really look at rouse fenway racing there with Ryan Newman and Ricky stenhouse junior in the conversation of making the playoffs. I remember how devastating it was last year for that organization when Stenhouse didn't make it and now you have a possibility of I'm getting two cars in maybe one car or no car so this could be a huge pressure package set of races here as we enter the summer for Rosh Miami racing so I think this weekend's big for them and his big seventeen car because he's been so good on Mama half so we'll we'll see what happens there but really I mean the thing if you look at the points and we re we keep talking about it every week in the playoffs but what's crazy about it is different names. Keep entering that sixteen. I mean you look at Clinton Boyer in Daniel Suarez now. It's four weeks ago those names. You're like okay. It's on left side of the page. No prior fine Stewart Haas yeah. They haven't won yet but they're going to be fine and next thing you know there could be two cars in that organization that maybe don't make it into Parker's Point Ryan Newman now being points up being in that sixteenth slot. That's his M._o.. Is points racing and being able to get into the playoffs. He's done at Richard childress racing. He's done it. <hes> Stewart Haas and speaking of Stewart Haas take a look at Clint Boyer here I mean this is a major slump. Guys with you. Know tree finishes is that have really put him in a bad spot and agent at we're talking earlier. I mean stage points has been Clinton lawyers refrain all year long really but it's really kinda reared its ugly head here.

He's back in six position when he came onto pit road. And there's only a couple of cars behind him better still on the lead lap winning so he's in pretty good shape. I place back to second. "Hundred winner Dale Jarrett, guys. It's a great American race. We knew it was gonna change someone's career. But DJ I can't remember race with this much emotion at the end, obviously coach talking about a loss Sunjay just a few weeks ago. Such a key member of that organization. You drove there what your thoughts? I think as I sat and watched it yesterday afternoon and those final laps, and it kept showing coach Gibbs, and knowing the story there and being a part of that organization as it started seeing JD come in to be a huge part of making all of this happened. He knew nothing about running a race Dame. But he was able to jump in there and do so many good things and JD gives was one of the finest young man that I ever knew in my entire life. And he just a good person had so many good things. And it was good to see good things happen. You talk about that. Coach Gibbs has done a lot for a lot of people and. You could just tell this one meant more to him than anything that's ever happened. They were hard to share JD's life with other people into you know, you hear so many things great about JD. Well, this gave them another opportunity to do that remind everyone what a great person JD was you saw it from Denny always from his father and all the motion all his children were there. I mean as just a great day for those guys a terrible time time that just breaks your heart to know, what all of those guys are going through. But to be out to celebrate on this day and do it with JD on the post. That's that's a really really special moment or you guys talk about what type of person he was. And we could fill the show with his accolades, but I think on the professional side it's worth noting rumor he found any Hammond, then ham would not be Joe Gibbs racing..

"It's Li fi Dale Jarrett bringing that this Sunday at three pm eastern that one's right here on NBC. It's really really good Dale Jarrett. A very busy man this week as we hear more of his conversation with this championship four in New York. So we have three champions and driver this trying to get his first championship. You're all in different ways somewhat trying to change your part in history of the sport. Because for three of you. There's only fifteen drivers that have won multiple championships through the seventy years of this fort pretty incredible. And Joe you're trying to join that group of people that have that by their name as a champion, do you view that and think about that any at all and not you don't need anymore motivation? But just what this weekend. End could mean to each of you. I think obviously you think about it right up. Here. Do all this media thinking about championship? That's that's the goal when we get to Daytona has to win the championship. And there's only four of us are still have the opportunity to make that happen. And you try to put that in the back side of your mind. But it's there you can't hide from driver. Ryan show is going to be in your face. You know, there's gonna be media around you all day all week in something that you've got a, you know, wrap your hands around and like it and enjoy it. And and it's an amazing opportunity to to be sitting here. Three of the best stockcar races are ever been. And I got a shot at the trophy from them. So I think that's a great opportunity something I'm proud of. And I'm gonna enjoy it to the end Martin. Nobody's won back to back in this format. The way that way we have things. Now, does that show the level of competition and just how difficult this is? Is it's hard to put into words. I mean how I think about it. You know, as Joe mentioned such great talent here, not only these guys behind the wheel, but their teams and being this physician again, I just feel so lucky, you know, I feel like it's a bonus to be here. I feel like last year. I went in there, thanking you know. Yeah, we're we may be the favourite. This is still going to be difficult. And it was it was it was a challenge. It was really hard to get it done. I look at this way the same way. I think we definitely have less pressure on us this year to get it done. But to win a second championship. Just be. It'd be amazing. I mean, I'm still I'm still kind of not sure what to think about the first one. And so, you know, be able to get that second one and to be in the record book with some of those names that are there with more than one is mazing. I never in a million years dreamed..

NASCAR Cup Series -- Blossoming at Bristol: Kurt Busch seals playoff berth after first win with new crew

"There was a hell of a ride last night down in, Bristol, Tennessee and I got the man himself that calls all the. Shots Mr. Tom, tailored Tommy how you doing man Morning sir how're you doing good good good, I, know you're probably running on empty about right now so hopefully. Got enough, to, make a few more laps The. Trucking nation a firsthand report, about all the activities last night. Couple of the boys called up and said it was a hell of a race oh. Yeah a lot of the drivers. Current drivers and Bristol along, time so yet nine drivers. Nineteen lead changes. Among nine driver yet all kinds of. Respond works there was beaten on, the, track you had child Bush again leading early right, into trouble you, had Kyle Larson Santa Paulette early, ran. Into trouble and? So. When. The. Smoke cleared literally we add nine cautions for seventy laps. Hurt feelings folks up sales each other at some point Late in, the, race and he got out of the car and, to drop kicked. Us out of the car Oh baby so Kurt Busch Kurt Busch your court Gatti's I win in NASCAR at Bristol he's not one, there since I was a twelve year drought since two thousand and two thousand six so Six win at Bristol is, thirty career he's now. Won behind, any and. Two behind Dale, Jarrett, in, the hall of fame so big win for Kurt. Busch interesting story this Kurt Busch is not signed for two thousand nineteen but stored Oz racing and. So Couple of press conferences the Bristol this weekend and so. The question was posed the owner Jean of you know, what's going on for. Next year Do you know anything right, now and I'm thinking. Wait a minute discuss on the checks he, doesn't know, what's going on so curb she's come on Talked to the mother. Team so it, would appear, he, has gone. Don't know whether this win we'll get, him to think, twice by keeping him but here's a. Former champion this guy's Jody Wynn donors, Bill former champion NASCAR got again? Six wins at, Bristol thirty news, career and so they. May let it go but and. Then on the flip side A lot, of things avenues weekend Casey now says. He's done he's not coming back in two thousand. Nineteen story broke today racing reached out, to talk to him about, taking the forty one. Ride next year, so obviously curb Bush's gone. And he said no thanks thanks I won't go, more town my family's I'm. Done and then, in the, series, and other. Driver the veteran Elliott Sadler said he's, done so he's, not coming back next year full time. So a couple of the guys saying We're gonna, spend, time, with. The family that of course will start the domino. Effect the drivers so you have Mark tricks, junior defending champion is not resign he. Came out over the weekend press conference said I'm. Going to be looking here because running Running and nobody wants to respond me they we talked? About this about three weeks ago they lost five hour? Energy two thousand nineteen so. He said you know sponsorships will drive the. Bus and so, right now he says you know I. Think another week or do, I have a better answer for. You what percentage of you wouldn't. Come back to, this team and he was very noncommittal so He used the defending points champion the east unsigned Kurt Busch a former. Champion, is unsigned do the. Veteran drivers have gone to the house and you know we're we're done. Elliott. Sadler and Casey gain so an interesting weekend. For personnel now Bristol so, let again opened. Up the door, some of, these young bucks coming up. And young as we call them, so it's, gonna be very interesting we've heard that curb Bush may go check the? Number one ride from chicken Jamie McMurray because he's underperforming? They're talking about him over. There MR, tricks do you're going. To the forty-one replacing Kurt Busch So that's. The case you're going to have a lot, of power team you got that would happen Kevin Harvick. Obviously red hot air took over Dan Patrick, seventy great year and of course the other one Kevin. Harvick and then humility even out the other driver Oh totally. Blackston, a long, weekend but there's four guys and then say oh boy you're Portland so strong team after x. goes there so yes lots and lots of room you're going on. In NASCAR, this week to head off to the southern five hundred Labor Day weekend

"As easy podcast i'm your host nate ryan back here at nbc sports charlotte studios where we have the hall of famer and nbc sports analysts dale jarrett back on the podcast thanks for being here i know that you're coming from florida were zach begun spring training twenty eighteen yeah just got back from from that and excited to go down actually my first spring training experience in florida been two games out in ayers onum louis route for races and things phoenix over the years and so that's always been exciting but my first time in florida actually and so he's in sarasota with the orioles organization and it was really fun a cool experience to see him kind of living out history now of of playing major league baseball and you know he's long way from being on the orioles roster but you know just to get out there and see the extent of what spring training is about and what they're looking for and what they do and what they put drew so i won't say that the days of the longest but they start early and they finish up middle of the afternoon so they get time to get things done and but you know there's so much more than just a own field stuff i mean they have meetings pretty much every day if not every other day at least about different things that you know the orioles and i'm sure that every team is pretty much the same to where you know they're bringing in people to talk to them about their monies and and not he's to that point of having to worry about that but it's still always good you know you never know when you're going to be in that situation and how to take care of it and how to make it work for you and just things along those lines and so many other things that that they're just you know preparing them for in life besides just baseball so it's as much like orientation off the field here's a handle fame and yes.

"Cub driver lineup here's dale jarrett with a really interesting take on how generational shifts have an impact on driving styles when the 2000s gamelong we eta influx of different drivers from different parts of the country the maybe hadn't followed in understood exactly what was going on so it changed a lot and i see this group of drivers and this isn't saying anything negative about anyone but i say this group as a very selfish group which you have to be to be successful in this threat but they're gonna raise hard they're gonna take what they can get and there's a lot more taking among this group than there is giving and so wa i think that is going to continue to get very very interesting as we go forward again on the short attracts road courses i'll that type stuff is going to be a lot of fun to watch when you say that deter you talking more about the younger guys about guys like the chase elliott's or the ryan laney's or kyle larson zach yet group canada yeah and i think it's just the the world that they're growing up in an understanding that and how hard they've had to fight to get to this point and once you get there there there's no reason then changing what you do just because you're there you can't all of a sudden become a really nice guy when you reach the top or you're gonna find yourself back on the bottom trying to climb back to the top again so uh but you have people the veterans the jimmy johnson's the the kevin harvick the mac kansas they've all been in that point before now they've gone over that you know they've had.
