"You a blowjob. Jeff was astonished. He'd never been propositioned before but his surprise quickly. Turn to panic. He was at the precipice of a slippery slope I. It's a brief hook up in the library bathroom. Then the deluge each of Ghaith thoughts will come flooding back. Then he's thinking about bones and dismemberment and the next thing you know he standing over another dead body so he told himself not today. It would take more than that to throw Jeffrey Dahmer off his righteous path. But the close encounter your head reawakened. Something he couldn't keep all his sexual desires repressed forever. Maybe he could find another outlet the substitute for an actual human human lover while walking through South Ridge Mall one day. He found exactly what he was looking for a male mannequin. Beckoning him from a department store window. It wasn't exactly a person but it was person shaped and it couldn't get up and walk away. Maybe this mannequin would be enough so right at closing time. Dahmer hidden inside the store until the last employees had locked up and left. When the coast was clear he undressed the mannequin? Put it in a massive sleeping bag cover and carried it right out of the store. He took a taxi back to his grandma's house and that was unfortunately after only a few weeks grandma dahmer found the mannequin. In his closet. She talked to Lionel who talk to Jeff who explained that he'd simply stolen the mannequin as a prank. He promised to return it to the store. And Linux let it go but with the mannequin out of the picture. Jeff had to look for another option. It occurred to him that if he wanted a corpse he didn't necessarily have to kill anyone. He could simply disinter a recently deceased body from the cemetery. He tried that but digging up a grave isn't as easy as is it. Sounds on the I ninety attempted it. He realized the ground was too solid to dig through with a single shovel he quickly gave up went home and never tried again. He'd tried alcoholism college. The army Miami Religion Mannequin theft and and grave. Robbing there was only one option left. He needed a living man. Luckily Milwaukee it was the perfect place to find one coming up. Jeffrey Dahmer enters the night at life. Now back to the story. In nineteen eighty-five Milwaukee's gay culture was thriving despite a history of conflicts works with the police the recent emergence of AIDS and a generally repressive cultural atmosphere the lgbt community had carved out a firm place ace in the city by the nineteen eighties. Milwaukee had one hundred twenty three gay bars and counting all of which operated openly under Wisconsin's sins first in the nation anti-discrimination laws into this flourishing scene. Came Twenty five year old Jeffrey Dahmer. The last time he tried to pick up a man it had ended in rejection homicide and a close call with highway patrol. Since then he'd been fighting down any trace of his sexuality pretty worried that one thing might always lead to another. Luckily there was a place where hookups could be conversation free. The bath breath houses male only saunas that were thinly veiled venues for anonymous sex. Dahmer was a pretty good looking guy by Milwaukee standards so he didn't have any trouble soliciting partners but sex by nature is reciprocal and that was a problem for him as we discussed last week. Dahmer Moore was motivated by the need to dominate and possess another person his lifelong isolation and secrecy made it difficult to relate to others so the pressure of meeting another persons needs was exhausting for him. What he wanted really was someone who would just lie there and be quiet so in June of nineteen eighty six? Dahmer found a solution. He got a prescription for sleeping pills mixed them into bottle of liqueur and brought it with them to the bath house he would partner up poor the other man a drink head into a private room about half an hour later they would fall unconscious leaving him full control of the situation for the most part he would just lie next to them and masturbate without feeling the need to violate relate them any further than he already had sometimes he would fall asleep next to them with his head on their chest and listen to the heartbeat. Obviously obviously some of the men realized they'd been drugged and complained to the management others didn't say anything at all. It's common for victims of sexual assault to the field to ashamed to report the incident to the authorities. That problem was only magnified by the fact that the victims in question were gay. According according to Gary Hollander served on a Milwaukee Commission into police community relations in the years prior to Dahmer's arrest the LGBT community. Had I tried to remain off law enforcement's radar in order to avoid the kind of police harassment that had been common in the past up until nineteen eighty-three sodomy had been a crime in Wisconsin. And even a few years after that law was stricken from the book's going to the police about a sexual incident at the bath house would create more problems than it solved as for the bath house owners whose venues have been rated countless times over the years. Their main priority was is keeping themselves out of the police's crosshairs. If the cops found out there was a serial rapist on the loose they'd never know peace again by Dahmer's count. He managed image to drug at least ten men at the same bath house over the course of a year all the while the management quietly ignored it then then in one thousand nine hundred eighty seven. A young man accidentally overdosed on the pills and was hospitalized for a week. That was the last Straw. Dahmer was officially banned from the Bath House but still no one called the police dot. Even the man who had been hospitalized bizarrely even after after word got around. The Dahmer was drugging people. He was still a welcome presence at the local gay bars. His Main Lenehan to was club to nineteen allowed bustling dance club. That was either the first or second hottest spot Milwaukee depending on which side of the local rivalry are. You believed. Typically Jeff took up a stool at the bar and just sat there alone watching the drag shows and strippers until closing time. He never mingled rarely struck up a conversation. He seemed troubled but in a harmless and almost vulnerable way. It was disarming. Usually Dahmer didn't make a move until the club was about to close and everyone was trickling outside at that point in the night. It didn't take much much to convince his target to come home with him. Bringing men home to Gramma Dahmer's house was a risky proposition. So instead he rented a cheap broom at the Ambassador Hotel. An Art Deco city landmark that had decidedly fallen from Glamour in the past couple of decades from their dahmer repeated. The same routine he'd mastered at the Bath House. Poor them drug drink. Get Down to business and wait for them to falsely once again. No one ever ver- made a formal complaint. In fact he even ran into some of the men. He'd previously drugged while he was out at the bars and they were perfectly cordial towards him. But all the while Dahmer's rap she'd was expanding in other directions over the past year he'd been arrested three times in April nineteen eighty eighty five. He earned a disorderly conduct charge after threatening to shoot a bartender who refused to serve him four months after that he got a citation for giving the finger to a police officer on the street then in September nineteen eighty six. He was charged with indecent exposure. After two twelve year old boys caught Kloten masturbating by the river. This last arrest got him. Stuck in court. Ordered counseling for his sexual deviance impulse control issues. It was the first first time he'd ever seen a psychiatrist at may have been too late to do him any good according to his therapist. Dr Evelyn Rosen. He was extremely family. Uncooperative during sessions he wouldn't talk about the incident that led to his arrest. He wouldn't talk about his personal life. Sometimes he refused. WHO's to speak at all for the entire fifty minutes session? Of course he couldn't tell us therapist about all the crimes he hadn't yet better arrested it for eventually. Dr Rosen diagnosed him with schizoid personality disorder which we discussed last week it's defined in the DSM five as detachment from social relationships and a restricted range of emotional expression. Dahmer was also sent for an evaluation at the University of Wisconsin's ends clinical psychology department. There Dr Kathy Bows concluded that he could become psychopathic deviate Hor sociopath. She noted without some type of intervention which is supportive he could gravitate toward further substance abuse with possible subsequent increased masochism or sadistic tendencies and behaviors. She had no idea how correct she was. While Dahmer was attending court ordered therapy he continued to lure men back to his hotel room and drug them on November twentieth. Nineteen eighty-seven his his chosen target was Stephen to me. A twenty five year old restaurant Cook from a small town in Michigan. They met outside club to nineteen right after closing time. Time went back to the ambassador. Hotel went to bed and the next thing jeff knew he was waking up with a terrible hangover and black and blue blue bruises. All over his arms. Stephen was lying under him with his head dangling over the edge of the bed and blood trickling from his is mouth. His chest was beaten so badly that it was completely caved in as hard as he tried. Dahmer couldn't remember era thing about what had happened even years after the fact either he killed two Omi in an unconscious state or he'd completely erase race the memory from his mind he recalled. I felt complete shock. Shock horror panic. I just couldn't believe it happened happened again after all those years when I done nothing like this. It had been more than nine years since the murder of Stephen Hicks Wchs and in that time Dahmer hadn't heard anyone he still had violent fantasies but he'd been able to stop himself from acting on them until now when when they inexplicably found a way out. It's hard to say with certainty what happened here. It's always possible that dahmer was just lying about forgetting to to avoid sharing the details but given how thoroughly he recalled his other sixteen murders. That seems a bit unlikely. Another possibility he is that he was experiencing dissociate Amnesia. This is when an individual is unable to recall a certain event usually of a traumatic or stressful restful nature given how severely Dahmer's first murder affected him. It's possible his mind blocked out the memory of killing Stephen Tomi to avoid the same guilt and stress or to avoid taking responsibility for what he'd done. Dissociated Amnesia is often seen in people with personality disorders including schizoid Schizo Typo borderline and antisocial personality disorders. All of which Dahmer. I was diagnosed with at various points. Jeff spent five hours pacing. The hotel room chain smoking cigarettes trying to figure out what had happened. And and how to get himself out of this mess finally by one pm he settled on a solution. He put the do not disturb sign on the door hoping the maids would heat it and slipped down to Woolworth's to buy the biggest suitcase he could find then he came back to. The hotel stopped to his body into the suitcase and loved it out to the curb. He called a cab to take him back to grandma Dahmer's house where he'd have more space to dismember the corpse. The driver helped him lift the heavy suitcase into the trunk commenting. What do you got in there Abbadi? Dahmer replied yeah. I.

Dahmer would eventually kill all but but to were people of Color. It's hard to say what to make of this criminologist Jonathan James and John Proof found that eighty six point point eight percent of cereal sexual murderers target victims who are the same race as themselves and half of them searched for new victims who resembled pulled their previous victims so going after a wide range of white black Latino and Asian victims is highly unusual dahmer or insisted that he chose his victims based solely on attraction and opportunity since the area he lived in was heavily black his victims skewed skewed that way as well he emphatically denied any racial motivation. Although how much we can trust Jeffrey. Dahmer Word is anyone's guess. Furthermore some of Dahmer's acquaintances recalled him making racist comments in daily conversation. We can't ignore the possibility that at least on some level he mainly chose people of color because he felt less empathy for them. The race of the victims may have helped keep them under the police radar but the murders didn't escape the notice of Dahmer's neighbors during the spree of killings. The property manager confronted. Dahmer are several times about the terrible smell coming from his apartment the first time. He explained that his freezer had broken and some meat had spoiled. The story was accepted but when the smell didn't go away. Dahmer got another visit this time. He insisted that as tropical fish tank had malfunctioned and a few of the fish died. He even showed the property manager the large barrel in the closet. We're an unidentifiable mass was decomposing and Murrieta acid. Dahmer promised to get rid of the peril and he made good on that promise but that meant that after he killed Tony Hughes he had to leave the body lying out in the open been until the at the time and energy to dispose of him. Naturally this lead to more complaints about the odor this carelessness with the disposal process us was a sign that Dahmer was devolving over the coming months his crimes became more and more reckless on May twenty seventh just a few days after he killed Tony Hughes. Dahmer found his next victim outside the Grand Avenue Mall. He had no idea who the boy was but he guessed he was in his late teens and probably East Asian in heritage he was actually fourteen and Laotian Russian. His name was Kona. Rock Sim bossom pawn. Then we'll look at the media frenzy surrounding trial and what it says about our culture them with the murder of Stephen Hicks. June of nineteen seventy-eight. Jeffrey Dahmer had thrust himself into a nightmare from which he could never return. The eighteen. Eighteen year old was still living at his parents. House in Bath Township Ohio at his parents were still nowhere to be found for the rest of the summer he was alone with the memory. Emory of killing Hicks and the horror of what he had become. It's hard to say whether he was more affected by what he done to Hicks or what he done unto himself by having to cover up the murder. People often assume that killers like dahmer are completely devoid of empathy and incapable of regular commotions. Whether or not that's true is impossible to quantify years later when Dahmer was asked if he was remorseful for his crimes he said yes. I do have remorse but I'm not even sure myself whether it's as profound as it should be. But the sheer fact that he was so upset about the first murder seems to suggest that he wasn't as cold blooded as we'd like to believe he clearly knew right from wrong he we knew that killing was bad and at least for a time he struggled with the bizarre compulsion he felt to violate those moral rules. He ultimately lost that battle but in the years after he killed Stephen Hicks. We can't ignore that. Dahmer did try to keep his violent side and check and By charting the next phase of his life his evolution into a serial killer starts to seem less than inevitable in September timber nineteen seventy eight Lionel. Dahmer finally returned to check on the family for the past several months. He'd been living at a motel just ten ten miles away the moment he stepped in the front door he realized something was seriously wrong. The house was covered in beer cans and liquor bottles. Those no food in the fridge when he asked Jeff wear his mother and brother were he simply shrugged and said they moved moved out finally a few years too late. Lionel realized to son had a serious drinking problem he immediately moved back in and tried to help jeff get Kazak together. Despite his protests Lionel Enroll Jeff in college at Ohio State University within weeks he was moving into his dorm. ORM and starting classes for the nineteen seventy-eight fall semester. Supposedly Jeff was majoring in business. But he was still drinking so much that he could never get get up to go to class in the morning when he was alone. He wept thinking about what he'd done to Stephen Hicks. After only a couple of months it was clear to everyone that college was not for Jeff. He dropped out at the holiday break and went back home with options dwindling. Lionel suggested that Jeff joined the army. The regimented structure of military. Life might be good for him at the very least he'd have to stay sober through boot camp. So just four days after Christmas. Jeff left for training at Fort McClellan in Alabama by the next June he was shipped out to West Germany which the US less was occupying during the Cold War. Predictably once he was through the rigors of Basic Training Jeff was back to drinking himself into a stupor. His poor performance formats got him discharged by early nineteen eighty-one barely two years after he enlisted. He was given a one way ticket back to the states when he was asked where he wanted to land. He chose Miami. He'd never been to Florida before but he figured the warm weather and Sunshine Might Cheer Him up now twenty one years old. Jeff spent the summer in a motel room near the beach. He got a job at a sandwich shop and spent his off hours soaking up the sun but within a few months his constant drinking had caused him to lose his job by the end of the summer he could afford his motel room. He packed up the few possessions he had with him and found a spot to sleep at the beach lying there on the cold shore as drunk and miserable as ever Dr. Jeff realized he could never run away from his problems. He needed help. He finally gave in and called his father. In September of nineteen eighty one. Jeff moved back into his family house in Ohio but being in those familiar surroundings only made things worse just two weeks after removed back to Ohio. He was arrested for disorderly conduct at a Ramada Inn. He was drinking from an open bottle of vodka in the hotel bar and vehemently refused to leave. Even after the police were called. This was Dahmer's I arrest so he was let off with a citation but the incident was the last straw for Lionel. They done everything to help. Jeff turn his life around but all their attempts had failed if they couldn't get through to him maybe his beloved grandmother Could Jeff Respected Catherine Dahmer whom he called a very sweet lady and a perfect grandmother when asked directly if he loved her he replied. Yup She's lived in that house a long time. Ohio which is about as close to an expression of love. Has Jeffrey Dahmer. Ever got so. In December nineteen eighty-one Jeff was sent to live live with Catherine in Milwaukee Wisconsin removed from his familiar surroundings. He made a vow to put his life back together and walk the straight straight and narrow catherine was a devout Christian. Jeff of course was a gay murderer but he started reading the Bible and tried to banish those sinful sinful desires both the homosexual and the homicidal for about two years. He had considerable success with a steady chorus of Bible. Study and church. Attendance his nightmarish thoughts about Stephen Hicks finally receded into the background and then one ordinary afternoon in nineteen eighteen eighty four. Dahmer was reading a book at the Public Library when a man walked by and slipped him a note it red meat me in the second can level bathroom. I'll give you a blowjob. He could simply disinter a recently deceased body from this cemetery. Jeffrey Dahmer enters the night right life now back to the story. Since then he'd been fighting down any trace of his sexuality pretty worried that one thing.

How I Cold Emailed My Way Onto 27 of the Top Sales Podcasts

"One of the big challenges we have sales people is really building social proof in utilizing correctly to either get a meeting with an important prospect or to close a deal in a lot of US including ourselves up until very recently because we've made a big push to get podcast and really increase increase social proof are in a position where maybe very few people in your industry no of you so into reaching out to a prospect that may have never heard of you before they may have heard of your company but they're not quite sure who you you are and hopping sales call with a prospect especially as it can be. Kinda tough if they've never heard of you prior to you sending a cold email to them Andy Mandarin. We're GONNA have any relevant case studies for their industry. One of the ways that we overcame this challenge was for prospecting was making a really big push to hop on on more podcasts specifically sales to podcasts and if you're wondering we'll hate jason run a business. How is this going to help me sales people you can hop on podcasts as well-made. Scott's podcast podcast where he interviews top one percent sales people is a really good example of that and if you're in sales getting on a podcast of being able to share that interview especially really if you're talking about something maybe not sales related and more about something in your industry can really bring in some credible industry expertise as well and it's a really great wave for prospects to learn about you that are proactive about finding solutions to the problems but also as something that you can share in a follow up after a sales call so that they can listen to you it again. It's social proof the here you WANNA platform so it's a really good way to offer extra value and get in front of people that may or may not have heard view before so let we tell you a quick story because we've read a big Lincoln Post on this. That's linked in the show notes. I definitely recommend you check out but we were able to get on twenty seven of the top sales podcast in in the last eight months and I got on all of these including Scott's for this this opportunity just through through emails so the big thing that we did when we got started and where where you want to start with this. Is You want some social proof to get on the PODCASTS. I'm GonNa talk a lot about social proof. In this episode. You want to get a couple podcasts under your belt so so that you have something to share when you reach out to these other ones so the way we started is I just asked around on our network and I knew a couple of podcasters and I said Hey can we hop up on your podcast and I'd like to talk about something. I think it'd be really valuable for your audience and I had a friend Bras and another friend list in they helped me get on their podcasts and I could been linked to those in other emails when reaching out to other ones so this is what really helped to get that initial social proof to share with bigger podcasts like you know seller dive on recently with Jeffrey Dahmer make. It Happen Mondays with John Barrows and a few other those if I didn't have social proof I wouldn't have been able to get on so step number one build that initial social proof get on some podcast uncast again. Check out that Lincoln Post. It's a really in depth guide to not only how we did it but how you can also do it as well. Step number. Two is finding podcasts so again. Scott has actually put together an awesome list on the site detailing enlisting on all the top sales podcasts. That's a great place to start and where and we'd take it. A step further other is going in and qualifying some of these. You're going to build an countless different than if you're prospecting for any other type of solution or offering is you're. GonNa come up with an account list of podcasts and you're gonNA come with qualifiers so what I recommend doing what we did was they had to have at least ten reviews on itunes a four star rating and they had to have released an episode within the last thirty days what I found out doing a lot of the sound reaches that a lot of people don't have active audiences because they don't post content consistently gently enough and if they don't have a lot of reviews that's usually an indication. There's not a lot of engagement on there. There's nothing wrong with getting on those podcasts to get started but I wouldn't make that it'd be part of your strategy. The next thing you're going to do is find the contact information and

"Gals first off massive fan. You guys get me through my grill and commute on the Los Angeles Metro. WPRO ANY WHO I'll get to it I moved to. La about a year ago but before that I lived in a small city in Missouri called Springfield you know the home of Gypsy blanchard. Oh sorry ammos Missouri yes it is. Oh my God. I forgot that road deleting you cut that out. I lived in an apartment downtown for about three three years and had many sketchy things happen but this was by far the sketch the scariest I kept seeing this creepy dude with Jeffrey Dahmer glasses and dirty s shirt skulking around the premises assists for a while. I assumed he was a new tenant. The just the whole story reminds me of late night lived in Hollywood that and it's terrifying yeah he always creeped on me in the basement laundry room. No no and I would ignore his attempts at interacting fucking apartment building laundry rooms. Is there anything scarier or more dangerous. Totally you bring a weapon and get real real confrontational. Someone's quote unquote creeping on you in the laundry room. Turn around and go back she'd bananas on that Erzen. Just stop washing your clothes or get a friend who has like washer dryer. Take out a loan from the bank in quarters. Yeah take it on down to very full laundry a great idea one day. I walked to the gas station around the corner unnoticed. He was following me. I thought maybe it was just going to the gas station to but he followed me. There waited outside and then followed me back home. I was freaked out but I told myself. Maybe it's just a stupid coincidence. Well guess what it wasn't later that week one of my female neighbor. I had told me she'd gotten attacked the night before by a man in glasses he had come up behind her and tried to grab her and drag her down the stairs. Luckily she fought back and got away from him and call the police turns out he had been squatting in the basement for about a month and my idiot apartment manager. It did nothing about it. I guess what neither did the police they let him go because there was already an ongoing investigation involving him that they didn't want to interfere with also all caps also was a registered sex offender. Jesus cry. I the ongoing investigation they were talking about involved him raping a thirteen year old girl. Holy Shit needless to say I trust my gut now and it tells me someone is a creepy fuck head. Yes thanks for being the Best Lacy Jesus Christ skies so there because it's an ongoing investigation that he might be a child rapist right. Go ahead and let him do it. I trust trespassing S. passing and getting him in for trespassing derail the investigation we we have to watch our own fucking backs because well and also yeah. It's if you are in. If someone is walking behind you and there's more than one gestation in your town. It is not a coincidence. You're allowed to turn around and pepper spray people that are following too close to your also allowed allowed to turn on gotTA. Get the fuck away from me. I'm not kidding. Do whatever you want. Yeah say be confrontational. Be Aggressive like those people need to know that you're paying attention yeah and that you'RE A or B or turn on take a picture of him. Emulate your rate cut me now. I have a picture of you taking it to the COP. That's a great idea you know. When I got <hes> I got boxed in like someone trapped me off the freeway because he thought I cut him off and I couldn't go anywhere he got out of his car came to my window and I was panicking. I didn't know what to do with yelling emme. I started recording him with my phone and as soon as I did that. He acted all normal and walked away. Yes that's right yeah yeah. Get get them. Get proof. snort collecting your own proof and showed them. That's what you're doing. Yeah show them that. You're not pretending they're not there. 'CAUSE you're scary. Show them. You're scared therefore you're going to go nutso love but yes please love it also involve your friends involved the guy that works at the gas station yeah say to the guy that works the gestation. Can you help me that guy's following yeah like it is see if anyone will jump in on at Rayo totally but also save it for save it for when you now yeah carry pepper spray. Make sure you're not that's not happening a lot. Yeah you know be your own best editor but when you truly feel it go with it. That's right got. Your pepper spray has only a few spray Zenit. Eh Remember that too. It runs out pretty quick but know that people will help you look for a mom type. Yeah the and look at her and go this. Guy's freaking me out or stop and be like. Can you pretend that we're friends really quickly because I this person's following me. Just don't be afraid to rope in others that looks safe have clean shirts. You know right this. We just get right into this what you're also add that. I even got my scaredy cat sister and my boyfriend who hates most things into FM. I guess thank you you those two. Those are the victory people guys who aren't interested and women who are like. I can't listen to high. I thank you so when my older brother was a teenager. He was a regular again and it was always getting into some sort of mostly harmless trouble one day in two thousand eight. When my brother was a junior in high school he decided to stay home when my parents sister and I went on a little Lake Day a few hours away <hes> just when we were about to get ice cream. My mom got a call from my end. This is what I heard what he's where is he okay. He did what Oh my God okay. We'll be there too few hours so it turns out my seventeen year old weather and a group of his pals were hanging out in one of of their female friends. Nice ass wealthy neighborhoods filming a movie in this movie. They were pretending to kidnap the girl. Well girlfriend had been taking acting acting since she was eight and pulled out all her girl they dragged her into the car kicking and screaming and then sped away the girl's neighbor saw this and immediately called nine one to report her. Oh kidnapping shout shout out to the neighbor for calling nine one one and asking questions later while the police wasted no time put out an amber alert and shut down the highways. They pulled over my brother and his friends and arrested them. Oh my they brought them to jail and we picked him up after we finished our ice cream looking back on it now even even though it was a pain in the ass for my idiot brother and my parents. I'm super glad that neighbor took action when she thought she saw something happening and the police reacted so quickly and took it so seriously if my brother was a real kidnapper they would have saved a girl's life. I don't think they're ever charges filed against my brother and his friends but I was only in the forest grade so I was dumb. He's thirty now and still basically dumb teenager. He hasn't kidnapped anymore. Girls so we are seeing big improvements stays sexy and always tell your neighbors before you kidnap doc your friends shelby shells. Larrea and identify having a troubled older brother also I. I wonder if they still use that but it. I bet it was great. Seriously kids in high school who make movies on their own are so cool. I think wait a second that was from Shelby Tarantino in the beginning Louisville okay. Here's another one ready. I'm just going to tell you it says. EMT Not Story Great Howdy Howdy Howdy my great grandmother was murdered by serial killer Donald Harvey which inspired my lifelong love of true crime. I'm well. He'll timidly landing me in career field. I am in today. This has nothing to do with that by. Oh that's just her opening. Yep <hes> an emt not and Morgan employees. I have lots of stories from both of these but the ones that keep me up at night the ones from the morgue noche but <hes> I have seen it all but my favorite is about what I accidentally brought home from an autopsy. This summer was disgustingly hot as we all know which lead to some particularly unique circumstances for us at the morgue contrary contrary to popular belief more are actually pretty clean and we use enough bleach that it doesn't smell too horrible so when I walked in the door and immediately gagged. I knew it had to be bad. We had a case in which is something on us too but what I wasn't expecting was all the little critters during the autopsy. A few hundred maggot started dropping to the floor okay gross but no big deal. Here's where it hits the fan. A fucking mouse leaps out of the body bag and onto the floor. I can handle anything except for rodents. I built to the other side of the room and the little mouse's else's darting around searching for a place to hide. So where does you decide to go right towards me. Great thankfully my shrieks of fear scared it off. Can you imagine being a morgue worker and an an T and and you've seen so much shit. You're scared of my that's what I was GONNA say. Just everyone has their thing yeah. Everyone has their thing for some people. It's like I don't understand how you could would ever do it. Autopsy and then the other people like I don't understand how you could ever look at amount yeah. I like that one. There's clearly a right and wrong thankfully including my shrieks of fear scared off and it runs under the door and into the supply closet after the day is done. I come home and take off my shoes expecting to shower and eat cheetos to only to find that somehow a maggot got under my shoe covers and into my shoes fortunate leaves only one but after the mouse I was just over it to make a long story short. I panic over little critter pathetic. I know are pathologists. Eventually finds the mouse a week later who sadly had the ironic fate of dying at the morgue. Oh stay sexy and adopt up catch to keep the mice away from Cincinnati. Wow Tear at thank you for doing the work you'd yes. It's important. We don't mean to make fun of you or the little your fear now we you're brave in many way it's ironic. It's ironic and Alaria if you were we'd say to your face yet because it's cute and you yeah no it yeah okay now. This goes almost in the other direction say sexy and think twice before you call the police okay right all right a lot of things times entertain entertain in that episode make judgments. Yeah Judgment Calls Halos. I grew up in Claremont in Western Australia and as such had a natural obsession with serial killers in in fact both my parents were witnesses to the first disappearance in the Claremont serial killer as they were exiting club. Bayview known back then as club Baseb- you when then she was taken. Oh my God why they were there. When I was about seventeen I was home alone when I heard a knock on the door to police officers had come by to show local residents wants photos of possible suspects in recent attack of a fellow officer at Clermont train station. I had a very long look at the faces and said I would get in touch saw anyone and who looked suspect nearby cut to the next day. I'm on the train going to work and I see two older men across from me who I recognize immediately. I changed carriages is and make a frantic call to police. The two assailants are on the train heading to Perth city. I get off the train in the city and they're easily eighty police officers storming the platform ready to take down the

"Race to the end faster i kind of liked the goofiness of dahmer trying to be a class clown and get attention i was glass clown as a serial killer myself i understand these things but but but you know like faking faking being mentally ill in public you know just for laughs and doing it at a mall and seeing what people think in filming it these these are all things that i had seen it done myself but i'm curious what your direction was with with ross because especially the scene where he goes on the stunt in the mall at that point it is it is crystal clear that d'oeuvres and his friends are doing it to laugh at him not with them and there's a distinct difference there and you see him start to melt down in which he's losing his sense of self and that scene as well and i'm just kind of curious your direction of it because there is a montage feel to it that has a dizzying effect so it wasn't a linear scene where we saw a series of events but we we could glimpse them so how difficult was that to kind of get through to the actor and to tell it through vignettes as he did essentially will always story board and so it was way more meticulous on my storyboarding on this so we could all gather around the storyboards and sort of see ourselves visually on how we think we're going to attack the scene that was such an unruly you know we took over an abandoned mall and kind of converted a wing of it so we could film it with lots of extras and we just had to shoot a lot of footage of him doing the spasms is and the cinematographer and i knew that really what that spouses about was looking inside of his head and showing that his sanity was slipping away but at the top of it it's like he's there to taunt them because he knows that he's been hired like as a trained monkey and so he's going to pound those beers before he goes there and sort of rub it in their face that they're sort of higher.

"In in the atarot or you mean like even grabbed just in the script and your tuition to the all the stuff that you were taking out of this i think two hundred twenty page graphic novel to boil it down to what i would presume was probably one hundred twenty page script the the the things that are in graphic novel that are like during wintertime just you know we just knew for practical reasons were never really in the film like there was a version where i was trying to capture the change of seasons and that just became way way too hard to do so that was either easy to sort of lose and actually was so many years ago i don't really remember having written all their things since like what i lost then but i do remember in the edit room that there was like a big aha that we started cutting out scenes that we had labelled in the second half of the film is aftermath scenes like there's an incident where dahmer after leaving the prom weights in the parking lot in the book and in the script to apologize to his prom date and then convinces her to drive her home afterwards which actually happened but we realize that as his psyche is slipping when we're in the room is that that was just getting in the way of us getting to the next thing in his life that really matter to his sanity slipping so we labeled that like an aftermath scene and then we started to see more of those aftermath scenes in the movie that we could chop off and it just made the edit of the form of the film just sort of.

"Sometimes the tag of the villain is something internal not like he is the boogeyman he is the villain and were coming to empathize with him so i didn't need another external villena just needed like the the psyche of him to be haunting him so he's always trying to like hold onto his sanity or trying to be normal and slipping further and further away from normalcy and that's kind of way that i kind of measured out the sort of emotional journey of who he was both in writing and then when i was working with ross i mean it's interesting because because technically you're asking the audience to do a lot you're asking them to empathize with somebody that we know killed seventeen people but at the same time you have some gravitons to the story because who actually knew him and admits in his graphic novel and clearly your film to kind of tormenting him a bit almost has like a may copa of sorts in this movie where it's almost cathartic for d'oeuvres to kind of work out whether or not the influence of him and his friends affected pushing dahmer in one direction or another i think if there was no actual connection to dahmer that that this this project wouldn't have the roots that does right it it's such a unique perspective that fell in his lap that he grew up with a guy who became jeffrey dahmer that he knows that he's partially to blame but so is the community the school's family it's just the jeff fell through the cracks and so people that we met that still live in the area that knew him view it also as a tragic story about this kid that really fell through the cracks and unfortunately you know he's not the last troubled teenager to go onto horrible things so he felt like there was something really relevant about this story from seventy eight d did you beat bridget is prom date because i'd seen that picture before of of his his his kind of ill ill fated prom.
