"Deadline. That's going to be the focus for the next week. It's all around one Soto. And I know you were busy with events in cooperstown. So I just want to give you some of what I've learned in the last week. The Padres to me the most motivated team in the conversations for once Soto. I think the kit cardinals, the Padres are the most motivated team. The cardinals of the team probably most capable of making a deal because of the absolute volume of high end major league ready players that they have. I look at the Mariners as being asleep because they have a chance to make the playoffs for the first time since 2001. And the conversation among executives that I speak with, they think it's probably breaks down about 75, 40 or 25% in terms of who thinks soda is going to go and who thinks this is about Mike Rizzo just gathering information and I'll tell you this, it's really interesting this particular deal because it's being made by Mike Rizzo, the perception of how he makes trades is he targets very specific players in other organizations and really just keeps working on that team as opposed to casting a wide net and circling back and circling back and circling back with each of the teams and trying to goose the offers. And I think what everyone is wondering, what is Mike Rizzo thinking? So what's your guess as to where we are here? Yeah, it's a great question. I'm with you on the Padres to me they have the biggest need and just imagine as we've talked about trading for Soto to teach junior comes back. Those three with Manny Machado hit one, two, three, for the rest of the year. I'm on the 75% group that I think he's going to get traded in the next week. I don't know how it's going to happen because it's going to be a mega deal of all mega deals, but obviously if you trade for him now, you can get him for this postseason and the next and the next. I would think you could get more for him right now than you could after the season like at the winter meetings or before next season or certainly this time next year, but so I think I'm guessing, of course, I think he's going to get dealt before Tuesday for that reason that Mike Rizzo who's very smart and very shrewd will look and say, all right, I might not get this spectacular deal a year from now. I'm going to do it now. And I think the biggest clue that we can draw upon and the question of whether or not he's going to be traded or not is based off what Rizzo told us earlier in the season. If you remember in mid may, you and I had conversations about Soto and whether or not he might be traded because the ownership situation in Rizzo's response to this whole conversation at that time was we're not trading one Soto. How can I make that more clear to everyone? I don't know, people aren't believing me, well, he's done a one 80 on that, which I think is a sign that behind the scenes, the ownership transfers playing a major role in forcing this to a decision. Right. And that's again why I think I'm guessing that he'll go before Tuesday because clarity of the ownership situation is critical here. They have to know as soon as possible. Is he with us? Or isn't he with us? And I think that will affect all of the ownership situation. So that's why I think it makes sense and you're right. Mike Brazil was telling the truth. I'm not trading Juan Soto until 440 million got turned down. Ownership situation changed. And now he has to speak differently on this because everything has changed in the last two months. And we don't know what his marching orders are, but I don't think there's any doubt that whatever those were in mid may, those have altered. Been altered. All right, let's look at the American League standings and how that might affect the buyer sell conversation of some of the teams. You have the J's, the Mariners in the race kind of separating themselves a little bit in the wild card race three, four games ahead of the group of Cleveland, Boston, Baltimore, and the White Sox. Take me through the thinking in your mind of those four teams. Cleveland, Boston, Baltimore, White Sox, is to be buyers or sellers. Well, I think the White Sox have to be buyers because they can not have this kind of expectation, especially after last year and they give up at the trade deadline when they can not only win a wild card, they can still win their division. So can I jump into I'll jump in here on this too. They're in the most winnable division. Right. It's like they're chasing a juggernaut. Right. There's zero chance they are giving up in any way on the season. They will add, not subtract. Not so sure about Cleveland, even though they've done exceptionally well getting to this point. I see the guardians being buyers, but not significant buyers. I see the Orioles, not unloading any of those key players. Mullins, I don't think so. I think they owe it to their fans. And I think they're going to hang in there for a while because I don't think they're going to get enough for say Trey Mancini to justify trading him. That's what I think. The Red Sox to me are the fascinating team buster. They have had a horrendous last week, if not two weeks. And something has to be done quickly. I don't see how they can give up on this season either. But heim bloom is not the kind of guy that's going to go out and unload all his prospects to get one player that might or might not get them into the playoffs. They're in big trouble right now. It'll be fascinating to see what happens, but I don't think they're going to sell up. I still think they're the Red Sox, and they have to buy not sell. Just to double back in a couple of those, the Orioles, Jorge Lopez, if you're running the Orioles, ease your all star, but as we know, relievers are like hot stocks. And when they have value you typically move them on, if you're sitting and running the Orioles, what are you doing with him? Well, again, I say they don't trade too much, but let's face it with all due respect is great as he's been this year. This is his only great year that he's had and if they can get something for him, I think he's the kind of guy they move. But if they're going to win at all moving forward, they need saint yandere and Hayes and Mao castle and Cedric Mullins. Those are the guys I'm saying, they're not going to deal nor should they. But if Lopez goes, I wouldn't be surprised. Yeah, and again, within the context of how relievers are viewed by teams, you look at a guy like David bednar of the pirates, Joe maniple of the Diamondbacks, to me, if you get a reliever that has value in a moment, you don't feel like you're in a position to contend, then you should take advantage of the value. Yes, absolutely. And the Yankees just lost Michael king for the year. That guy's really good. They are really going to miss him. And they're not going to hold off the Astros. They're not going to beat the Dodgers in the world series unless they fortify now with the injuries they've had. So yes, I think there will be a very strong bullpen market because there are so many bullpen arms that can make a difference. So what I'm hearing about the Red Sox is that they could be both buyers and sellers. JD Martinez is out in the trade market. And the perception is that he might be the most likely veteran to get moved in part because he's in the last year of his deal. This is probably the end of his time with the Red Sox here in the next few months. And with the DH now used in both the national league and American League, he probably have teams that would be interested in taking him on. And you can fill a DH spot and still contend. You could draw from guys they have internally. Maybe Bobby dahlbeck. Moves over to the DH spot and they see if he can find himself there. You trade for a better defensive first baseman. What I was hearing yesterday was is that the Red Sox at the moment are not inclined to trade Sandra bogarts, a, they're still hanging in the edge of the race and B, I think they want to keep that channel open to potentially resize and or moving forward. Yeah. Look, buster, they need to do whatever it takes to make the playoffs. But more than that, they have to keep zander Bogart. Somehow, one way or another, and they have to keep Rafael Devers also. I personally don't see how they're going to keep both of them.

"And another thing I think it's worth at least thinking about is right now obviously diverse is the guy. They're not going to fool around there. They're not moving endeavors to DH while JD's here. They're not moving in first, but Devers is the guy at third. But if Deborah gets hurt and has to miss a month, who else is going to play third? I think right now if Deborah's gets hurt your third baseman's Bobby dahlbeck. I would agree with you find someone else to stick it first, right? So there's that added value that brings, even though most days, his ability to play third is a non issue, because third base is filled. But the fact that he can do it gives you a little bit of insurance at third base and I think also adds some value to him in the short term for the Red Sox. So yeah, it's an interesting position because all back had a good second half rough first half defense wasn't great. But how much are you really going to invest in first base when arguably the best first base prospect in baseball is sitting in a potentially two months away? So is he on the regular roster coming out of spring training if the Red Sox had there? Brothers, Kristin Cassidy make it. No. I don't think so. Because I think they want him to play triple-A. One thing that cassis has, he, I think everyone universally agrees he has tremendous power potential. He could be 30, 40 Homer guy. But he's never slugged 500 in the minor leagues. He's now, I think, then you see what he does, like in the Olympics, right? He plays 5 games, hits three home runs, all three of them go ahead and owners. I think it's there. And I think they think it's there, but that he is a smart enough young player and a confident enough young player that he has spent the minor leagues honing his hitting, right? Being a I mean, he has a legit two strike approach. He could go up the middle. He does, he has never once tried to just sell out for power and show everyone that he can hit massive home runs. I think that's just in there. And when he I think there's a chance when he gets to a stage when he needs it, he's going to be that guy. But I think you still want to see it. And I think you still wanted to go back to triple-A, get some time. You know, I mean, he's pretty young and mixed in here as a whole minor league season that was lost. It's not the worst for him to get a little bit more development time, especially in triple-A and then especially when high bloom has talked about that he thinks triple-A is a vital step for these guys. You know, in the past under dombrowski, you know, Devers basically skip triple-A, been attende basically skip triple-A. I don't know that we're going to see that very much under high, because he has talked about that he thinks triple-A is a vital step along the way. And so I know I don't think there's much of any chance that cassis makes team out of spring training..

Euro 2020: England Send Germany Out and Ukraine Leave It Late
"Made it to the quarter finals. Of the European Championships and football fans here have been celebrating long into the night in a long time, but we didn't have to go to bed away, so I'm very happy. What was our best result? We're gonna wish for odds before Germany. We're going to store but we just turned the box email is calling on it's gone government or we'll have more details of reaction to England's win over Germany. But first let's get the details of the football and the rest of the sport from Andy Barr. Well, England football boss Gareth Southgate praised what he called his sights fabulous performance with that two nil win over Germany in reaching the quarter finals of the rescheduled euro 2020. It was thanks to go from Raheem Sterling and Harry Kane, England take on Ukraine in the quarterfinals in Rome this Saturday. Southgate says he'll be keeping his players feet very firmly on the ground. With their fans expecting the team now to go on to lift the trophy, the feeling around the country that we've only got to turn up to win the thing and we know it's going to be an immense challenge from here on so I think the players know that they've been to the later stages before they know how difficult that's been. But of course we we came here with an intention and we have not achieved that yet. Ukraine got through to the quarter finals of a major tournament for the first time in their history in the round of 16. They beat Sweden to one attempt in Park in Glasgow. They substitute RTM Dahlbeck scored the winner, his first goal for his country and it came in at the time at the end of extra time. Now

"Enough but fantastic composer and a fantastic musician. Seeing him perform. I think the last time I saw him I saw you perform in the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas and then I saw him perform at Pepsi Center. And the concert of Pepsi Center was just I mean, you got to be kidding me. So, so, so good. I don't know if I don't know if there has ever been in my lifetime, a better musician. Uh, better artist in Prince to be totally honest with, you know, there's a lot of people out in the country world. All of the artists, our musicians, they all they all play play, but I don't know if all them can. It seems that all the ones That I've been paying attention to can play the guitar. But I don't know if all of them can play piano drums and do all of that stuff. Well, there's some of them. There's some of them the can like you Look at somebody like you, Keith Urban, whose marriage in the court Yes, Keith Urban is one of those who can play piano. He can play the guitar. I mean, he's considered one of the best guitar players. In the format. Then you take a look at somebody like Bruno Mars. Now now brutal. Mars plays guitar, does he? Oh, my goodness. Does he play guitar? Oh, he rips the guitar. Plays guitar plays, keyboard and piano dances as good as anybody you've ever seen now him. He could say he can saying he can say See, is that ice cold. Michelle thought for that white go smiling. Hey, man. Look, man, that guy, you know, I've never seen him in concert, but I think he was your Pepsi Center. I didn't see Oh, my goodness. It was You know how I got to see him. It was sold out, like sold sold out and I was coming back from Um, why do I think that that I had a late I know I was coming back for a visit Minneapolis. I was in Minneapolis for some corporate meetings. And while I was in Minneapolis My friend Tim Dahlbeck, who lives in Parker. Works for Bruno Mars Record label. Oh, and I ran into Tim Doll back in the Minneapolis airport, whose son, by the Way, is in the Boston Red Sox organization and incredible picture. And the large nose to Tim Doll back is and I said he's like, like, what are you doing? He's like home head back to head back to Denver Got Bruno in concert to know And I'm like I said, You know what? I was trying to get those ducats. I just I just couldn't do it. He says you need a pair. And I go, I go. I go. Hey, man, let me just tell you I've been gone. I've been gone for, like, six days coming back home. If I told my wife that we were going out tonight, and I was taking her to see Bruno Mars, I go. That would score me some serious points, and he's like he's like he's like done. Where were you sitting? Like, six rows, six rows from the stage. And you know what? It didn't matter where you were sitting because you want it. How much would you You weren't sitting like I was. I would have got a chance to see Michael Jackson and concert never saw never saw him right. But if I could have Front row ticket. I would pay as much as I don't know. Maybe I knew it was the last time he was going to do a concert. Not like one of these concert where you come back out of retirement and you go in retirement. Come back out of retirement, You know, like some of the groups who? Yeah. I knew this was the last time and he was coming to Denver. I pay as much as $3000 sit in the front row. Yeah, it would. It would be be worth if it would be worth it. I think you know what I'm gonna be taking calls. Right face value of Super Bowl ticket is right. It's about three is a 38 $100. It's something like that. Yeah, something like something, Whatever it cost for face Value or Super Bowl ticket. That's what I would pay. To see Michael Jackson concert in the front row. Yeah, I cannot. I think of all the people that equipment for a sports fan. If you're a football fan, you got a chance to go to the Super Bowl. Face value in the car on the ticket is $3800. Is that is that equivalent? Being in the first row of just saying in the stadium. Well, I mean, so how long's to take Helen's the Super Bowl last three hours? Okay, So that's you get three hours of entertainment. Uh, starts all right, You know, you know, with the warm up act and everything you know, right around 33 3.5 Miles No. Hello. Yeah, I went 30 minutes with them with the headliner. I I bet you Well, maybe maybe 90 minutes with the headliner, but it's usually like 70. 70 was like 70 minutes. It's usually like an hour and 10 minutes. No, that mean that name is with the head roll up with an encore depending on who they are. Yeah, I mean, 90 minutes with the headliner, and then you know a few groups that go before them. It's a whole day like equipment to go into a Super bowl like I think when Garth Brooks played The stadium when he plays it was it was, uh, in power field, you only played in power field at mile high. No warm up act. Just Garth and he played for. I think he literally played for like he did not play for four hours, but he played for like 30. Yeah, that's unbelievable. Right? You know, that's a lot of lottery tickets. I know that is that's a lot of lottery tickets. I haven't you know. Played lottery. I think three times in my life. Hey, man, Are you ever gonna go turn those tickets in some way? Made any money? I could actually let you do it. I mean, no, it's OK. It's OK. I don't know how much you like. Six or $7. Let's let the large turn it in. Oh, what is that? Fine with you Be large. I mean, you are you are you do have the money, and I'm the he's in urine, right? Yeah, I was here. He was the one who actually pointed out that we had three Powerball number Now I was cool Was the cool, cool? Well, it's certainly not gonna let Coover cash, you know, no. By the way, the cheapest ticket at the Super Bowl. Face value is only 9 50 0, really, for the upper corner. Yeah, but for that was for last. That was for last year's Super Bowl. 2020.
