"Okay you said a whole line. We're gonna have to get into clemson but jay objected to a couple of things What's on your mind. Well if we're going to sit up here in look nor dame had a double digit lead. I saw florida state comeback. Florida state's underrated. Like i'm not going to sit here. And say notre dame is overrated ranked number nine in the country. Oklahoma barely beat. Two lane is oklahoma overrated. Unc oklahoma rated key oklahoma overrated. Yes or no no oklahoma's barely too late. I mean you're talking talk about but but that's not the my my point though jay is the man handed them seven points so when you had the team seven and then all of a sudden you make a decision to go with mckinsey milton at quarterback because the other guy helmet came off you stuck with him in the fourth quarter which was a fine situation by norville. It's a head coach. But you decided on fourth-down backed up in your own end to try and go for in other words. It could have got you. Did it on the third cooler. You give them seven points. I hear you but there are down. Though they were down eighteen at one point the game. Yes i seven j when you say. I want to hear that because to me. There's a bigger point weather. Notre dame is ranked ninth or fifth or eleventh or. I doesn't matter right. Notre dame has a national following because once upon a time they were what alabama has been right. Okay man long long time so now. The bus was born with our ages combined right. But it's been a long time and so they're kind of perpetually overrated no so overrated. I mean i i don't think so per brickley i mean just watching the scene where jason the way. He played the treasurer wisconsin. Mike mayor people were talking about on. The term gets used a lot baby brock. Nfl scouts. I've heard to make mention of him. Multiple times cow hamilton. Like who had two interceptions who played his ass off. I've heard professional scouts rave about him. I started hearing over ratings. Were being thrown out. Are we allowed to say that on. The radio need a quarterback for florida. State throwing the balls to hamilton. He was throwing. I can't get off the hash right now. Go get those balls but chemo. Who can play in front of you. Stop man. I'm not saying that all i'm saying so so comes over the radio because they lost in it so it does even mass clemson's over here to do pick six losses. I wanna get. I wanna get to class. You said gonna see trash. So let's get to clemson is overrated. Saudi boy okay. Let let let. Let's get to clemson because Ski talk about bryce young. Who right away. He's not making mistakes that cost you. He's using his mobility. Keeping his is down the field. Gray and an alabama is rolling and a couple of years ago like two years ago. I'm thinking oh time out this alabama dynasty the fact that you know and we're saving this is being challenged by clemson dabo right now. No i don't think it is anymore after that. I don't think it is guys because once again alabama looks crazy good. They looked better than everyone else. And clemson lose with the okay. I'm with you. On how alabama looks. But i'm not to sit here and call clemson overrated because alabama went up to another notch in what they've been able to achieve. Look they still jameson. Wilson williams from my from well how st john mentioned i get how reloaded they are. And it's incredible to watch. I'm not gonna sit up here and say because clemson lost in a dog fight to georgia georgia audience. Look incredible as well. Georgia called georgia over. Emerges offense is never going to be good. They got d kirby smart as a defensive line. That is what he does he. He runs an engineer's defenses. His teams will never be an office juggernaut. So you're gonna see a ten nothing a thirteen three seventeen fourteen. That is the way georgia's gonna win. Football teams overrated. Well hold on hold on j alabama. Let stand you're just defining overrated differently based on rankings you had how many teams in the acc phone offerings j. In the top team. i'm not making. I'm not making excuses for north carolina. And i'm not making excuses for miami and blitz. The way they did at all. I watched the sam. Three was horrible three teens. I said top ten top fifteen. You had three teams in the top fifteen in acc conference clemson was one of the big ford and we always talk about when we say. Give us the big four. Ohio state oklahoma clemson alabama. That's what we do every single year. This time then point. That's clemson gave us nothing like that's the point like an let's expand that even more. It looked like we just blink and it looked like they were ready for it to be their time because championships head-to-head everything. It looked like they had. They didn't look like they had run. Even with alabama and could have taken the lead as the premier college football program in the country. Would you say that this morning. Could you possibly make the argument. You can't can't you just can't go back and you can't go back jay in almost call. Max oh jeez zubi but j. j. max you can't just look at this game. We go back to last year and look at the game against ohio state. You just have to. You have to start to look at those things and start to see. Okay the shoelaces might becoming untie right. Now when you go back and you start just looking at it. That's how i assessing it is going to be interesting when we get through the acc schedule because comes really doesn't play anybody until the acc championship. But it's not like clinton can't be in the final four. It's not like clemson can't progressively get better throughout the course of the year also for. Dj you out. I don't think. I think they i think they shot. There's already upped. Because if you take for instance we'll give if is in oregon. That comes out of their undefeated in a one loss. Clemson team i think those two teams in the pac twelve. Get a nine well. Let's not let's not bring up the pac twelve. You brought up the bruins. They're the only ones making the pac twelve. Look i right now. Hold on heather. Heather which is ready to join us john. J. max is presented by progressive insurance. Espn college football senior writer. Heather ditch joins us on the goodyear s-curves things clemson brought to you by goodyear with you for every mile.

Choose Love, Not Fear in the Workplace With Gary Heil

"Some people might wonder what the heck does law have to do with building great teams right question before like take really gary really and then and then i read this really cool book. Called transcendence that scott coffin. You know that. I wasn't as far off the mainstream as island so i went out actually not looking for the app i went out and i started interviewing ended as five hundred introduce with leaders trying to create change trying to figure out why everybody talked a better game than they played. You know. everybody's got the language everybody's heard the speeches. They've read the self help books. They just weren't making many changes we spent about. What sixteen billion dollars a year. Trying to create better leaders. Were not much better off than we were two decades ago. What i wanted to know why. And so we went and interviewing leaders trying to figure out why methodology aside we found a couple of things we were not surprised but one of the about but one of the things i was really surprised about is every time we found a great a really good team not one that just one games or made huge profits but sustained itself over generations. We found leaders and teams. That had a fundamentally different relationship. And i didn't really wanna find that. But i'd sit there and walk in and you can feel the energy when you walk through the door. We go what is this. And finally this crazy football coach in south carolina and dabo sweeney. Us is is talking to us about love. And i think he's a little crazy. He break before the national championship visas. We're going to win because we we love each other and you're like okay and you start to think about it but it reminded me of what guiding yawn carlson who is the leader managing director of esus the scandinavian system airline years ago. He said the first choice. Every leader needs the baker's. Choose love or choose fear. I thought i got it thirty years ago. I get davos talking to me. And i'm starting to get it going. Is that what i'm seeing. Here is a culture where people really cared deeply for each other more than they do just about money. Make no mistake. Data cares about wedding so carlson running airline of the year. But there's something deeper about the way people

"dabo" Discussed on The Family Podcast

"Hello ladies and gents and welcome to another episode of the mid week. Wrap-up with your boy. Sami one half of the family pulled cost now. If you're new to this show we simply take one song and we take some of the best parts of it and we use it to inspire you to see out the week in powerful powerful styles without forever do less onto it. My recommendation for the rest of the week is jay electronic irs renaissance man taken from his mix tape. What the fuck is aj electronica. This guy soared into the atmosphere off. The his track was featured on the ea sports. Fight night champion which was released in two thousand eleven. Everybody heard the track was like oh my days. Who is this guy. Came in. Like our blast on judas askari and pilaf in a cherry. Who is this guy and so it went through went through the motions and was really getting recognition but never really dropped album until very recently by he had this huge body of work in this mix tape the fuck jay jail electronical and one of the songs on there. Is this song the renaissance man now. It was produced by the immortal legendary. Hip hop producer. J. diller ariston impede and in this track jay talks about his struggles and his frustrations around not being where he wants to be around authenticity in the music industry and he's touches on some things that you know everyday people can relate to especially those of us who are chasing the dream and trying to sit down foundations for something that is bigger so we opened by saying everybody told me to be patient but who was sleeping from couch to couch and basement to basement but jamie sea and china block my shine light ray bans and we feel like this sometimes as if all of our progress has happened in way too slowly and that people can only see a certain side of us when actually sometimes we'll carry in a really big burden and sometimes people think that they're being helpful by saying. Oh my like you really doing it man. You're doing it and you're thinking yeah but you don't even understand how far away i am from where i wanna be. What the truth is they do. Have a point because you know where you wanna go. You can't always see where you've come from and some people can and you go take with a pinch of so of course because your job is to go out there and be as useful as you can be by also good to reflect but one of his most poignant lines and is one of his most simple lines is they say good things. Come to those who wait what i know about that. It draws attention to phrases that seem like maxim sympathies but on close examinations not true or wise. Good things can't nutty. Don't death comes to those who wait and unrealized dreams. If you want something you have to go out there you have to seek what you want from your life with passion intention and verb. You'll find people who don't go off to the things that they wanted. Don't have written down at. Don't revisit it often. They're always been pulled by other people. And maybe that's you for you have to make a decision about whether your life is going to be for other people or wherever your life is going to be lived for yourself. My favorite line in this track is magnolia crack soldier creeping on the komo. My grandmother won't leave the fucking projects. I got a raise a slum those nerds at record labels played me dumb and dumber so i showed industry ask crack lack of plumber. How much defiance is in. And it's a beautiful of ryan that illuminate some of the internal struggles. That people have around leaving where they come from diva. When it's dangerous and or has a negative effect of being there and their loyalties to the people who live there and maybe an image of what that police could be with the right sort of infrastructure and jay's very clever allows for some interpretation is he a crack soldier in the sense that each patrolling the streets against the use of crack. Or is he a pedal that when you read it the first time it sounds like. He's calling himself a cracks or july. So you think maybe this is really selling crack out here. But then that doesn't make sense with the other line ma. Grandma won't leave the fucking projects. I've a razor slama. You don't raise their slump by selling people crack. We'll maybe suggested position of trying to dabo in life while trying to uplift and some people are in that life between doing something you know that might be considered nefarious in order to bring about a better outcome for their loved ones. We see when if you've ever watched the series snowfall. You see franklin has. It's about would i think in franklin's case he exhibits of psychopathy wherever that applies will not. That is up for interpretation. But i think it's very clever how he's put that on the listener. The listener will take whatever they want from. That line is something to think about. When i listen to this song any time of the day. My friends this doesn't have a set time. You can listen to any time because it's such a human song that covers off frustration with people who position themselves as also pours but don't show up it touches on the fakery of some industries and we all know that whatever industry you're gonna come against people who say one thing but a mean another would a hedge their alliances and you can't trust them. They're in every single industry. Not just the music industry not just the entertainment industry. If you work at a bank you a person like that it also touches on feeling that you haven't hit that part of your life that you've really wanted to you. Can you can do it and you can achieve it if they get off your backside and you go to work and you go for your struggle and you learn what is to be confident and to be authentically yourself you know in any finishes by saying this is the force of a soldier and if you don't like your play dead or roll over and once again. He offers a listener a choice between being their own person willing to sacrifice themselves for they truly believe or being. Somebody's toll to roll over. Play dead and i think we all have to reconcile with that. You can paint your life anyway. You want by the end of the day. You're going to get to a point where you either have lived your life for yourself and for your values or you've lived it completely for other people and that is something to chew on people and it's a mouthful anyway. That's me i'm out. You already noted. They'll follow us on instagram at the family. Podcast to keep up with me and don visit. Www dot the family poor cost kodo uk to check. "All right so context matters in the form of conversation when it comes to name image likeness now context has changed a little bit or at least the quotes have changed a little bit from one of the biggest coaches in college football. Dabo sweeney from clemson. Now this is in two thousand fourteen. He was quoted as saying as far as paying players professionalizing college athletics. That's where you lose me. I'll go to something else because there's enough entitlement in this world. As as it is. I should say he has since clarified that. At the time he was talking about payers being played a salary. Not name image likeness. He's walked that back over the last couple of years since name. Image likeness became a conversation. It's become a little bit different in his tone. So he says in two thousand fourteen. I was referring just to the concept of players. Being played that being said he was. He has addressed the team into that. Daring wrench of the clemson. Running back was on packer. And durham yesterday and said this when asked about what advice dabbagh has given the team boys with grow quick. He's excited he kinda catches some things out of context but he's excited for us and make the most of this opportunity. He's equipment us with everything on the on the as much as they can their in to make sure we have as much content as much connections as we can and he comes on a great job up to this point of like. I've been on several several companies. That hopefully i'll get the do partnerships with over work with so thought has been set up to win for a very long time and now we're kind of just get release to go be all we can be. I mean he's so right about the release and the amount of people around certain programs but it does raise an interesting question. You all about sort of the approach for recruiting and the approach for transfers. And what all this means. Because i can envision. I use georgia as an example of a school that over the last. Several years is recruited so well at the quarterback position that they find themselves frequently having three four different guys and then they make their decision right or wrong who they're sticking with and whoever they don't go it seems to transfer somewhere. I mean are we gonna live in a world key in your mind where the transfer decision especially in a transfer portal where you can go and play right away somewhere. Is there some moment where in your mind. You're justin fields in you. Want to transfer to ohio state. You're going to make that decision. Maybe now based on not just where you wanna play but also where you can get paid to do it. I don't necessarily know that adjusted feels tight player. A star four star recruit is making a decision based on where they could monetize their name likeness and image and make money. You're still talking about nineteen twenty year old kids that or trying to get to the nfl. If you make a short term decision based on some money your d you could potentially derail your opportunity to get to the next level. And i know what you mean thinking that okay there's places like clemson which i think dabo sweeney even always walking back and he does a lot of you know that's just albouy. He just talks but he's done a tremendous job. And i know at first hand with how he has constructed his program in being able to help his players on all walks of life he. He has done that. I'll tip my hat off to him as far as that spent a lot of time with him doing my son's recruitment in in followed the program from the time that he took over his hair coach to where he is today. But when you make a decision you gotta make a lifelong decision long term. You cannot make a short term decision. Oh i'm going to transfer to michigan. Because i'm not playing here in all of a sudden you get to michigan and you may not you may not get on the field because you gotta remember. You're not the only person that recruiting there's other players that are in high school that they're recruiting and other guys in the portal that they're recruiting and you would say to me. Well what if they told you that they're only going to take one at your position. They're not gonna take anymore in so you would think okay. I got a shot at doing. It doesn't work like that it just. It doesn't portal. The portal is interesting. It's so backed up right now. There's a number of kids man that left schools thinking. Oh i'm i'm getting a four or five star teams. Don't even have room for you. I may be alone in this. But i think this thing is just a smidge overblown right now. This whole like how. I l is going to play into it. As don't think we're dealing with a upper echelon of athletes that can command command solely on who they are as athletes and their hutcherson right. Then you're gonna have some. That are your social media stars that are funny and quirky on talk right and that i can go across different sports but this idea that i just i. I'm just a little bit cool on it. Well and i think it's a little bit. i mean it is. It is a lot itsy in monica to. It's a lot. People are putting a lot on. And i've been trying to tell people there's only a certain amount of players. Yeah there's going to be able to benefit for everybody just because you on a college team and you have a social media following everybody making. Everybody ain't making that type of money. Well and i'll say like what i first and foremost want to do is take the social media aspect of it and separated a little bit because that is if you've created a tick tock brand like the gymnasts that is blowing up then good on you go get every dime that you possibly can for..

"Services data. Not really dab. Oh, uh, but, uh, he he walked back the comments a little bit since then, specifically saying that he wants to make sure any payments. Are tied to academics. Well, not not exactly on that one. No here as well. He's declined to comment on the new N I l rules, but he his tail back Darien, Rencher says. The Dabo is quote excited for us to make the most of this opportunity. He's equipping us with everything as much as they can to make sure we have as much content as much connections as we can end quote. Yeah. I mean, look, Gabo is in the winning business and it is a loser moved to be against this now, So I'm not surprised to see him do this. I think a lot of the coaches will see this. As a distraction. It could be a big time distraction in the locker room with the players. I think they see that as a distraction, and I say that because They've lost control to me extent. Now the coaches and the universe enters, um, lost control. I mean, because you know one of the a accompanying conditions of this change. The players can hire agents now, now that you and there might be they're supposed to hire agents only to help them, you know, realize their name, image likeness value, but they're going to hire agents. Okay, They're hiring representatives who are going to represent them when they move on to the professional ranks. Are those agents going to be making advance payments to those guys? Probably. So that would be against the rules, but probably, so, so. But, yeah, you're right. And you're going to have so many guys who I mean, is the agent gonna be a practice? Okay, The agent certainly going to be you know, around in their ear when they're when they're not at practice, And so, Yeah, I would imagine That's the thing The coaches don't love and with the changes that they have made to the transfer rules Where everybody is effectively a free agent. If you don't like the way that your current school the current name, image, likeness opportunities that are being presented to you at school X You can be at school. Why, in a couple weeks? That's right, right? That's that's the scary part of this because If someone doesn't like the deal they're getting at Lincoln, Nebraska. They may say what's going on in Starkville? What are they doing in Starkville? What are they doing at Columbia, Missouri, or Austin, Texas? What are they doing down there? That may benefit me and my family. I think a lot of these guys will use this money to help with their moms and dads, too. Because there are a lot of lot of poor kids who play play the game of football who want to do for their parents, and they deserve it. If somebody wants to give you money for your endorsement, I think that you should be able to realize that value but what it's going to do to college sports college football in particular. Uh, this could be a big this could I've changed my mind..

Yeah i mean having fun with tribe naming and that's good because as we've seen it's a tough thing to do you might as well have fun with it and how far they could have pushed it. They've just made it like i hate this. Would they have been. Can you name this. i like what like. How much does it. We're getting into interesting territory. Where production will be like no. So how do you have to push. Production will veto it. I think they came up with a great balance. I definitely want us using dang more. Dang lockdown i love dan. Green is great. I really love. "It's been pretty special and do it with such grace and such humility and with the brightest of the brightest of the brightest lights in unbelievable scrutiny. In what these kids go through today is so different than when we were coming up in. The scrutiny is unbelievable. But there's never been a guy more prepared trevor. He's been dealing with this as the ninth grade when he won. The job is a fourteen year old at carville chagrined program and he beat out a senior quarterback a really talented player. Who by the way was the starting tight end in alabama this year. Okay but he had been a quarterback up until trevor made him a tiny in history. He drafted this year as well back. He was at his wedding but just the expectations the scrutiny social media the then you get into the several sevens the elite eleven's. You're supposed to win every week and all that and then you come to clemson. You're supposed to win. The job is supposed to go to a national championship. You're supposed to do this this this and you know supposed to be the number one east been dealing with this stuff forever. But guess what that's his nor that's that's what he's used to. That's normal to him But the beautiful thing about him is. He's not he's not driven by that stuff. He is a very s. Why fit our program very well because he's a very inside out person. He's he's strong in his fate. Incredibly strong in his faith He's driven by that. He's grounded by that man that has served him well and will continue to serve him. Well you know coach. What kind of special quality does trevor lawrence have when it comes to that ability to raise the level of his game his teammates. You watch steph curry. Shoot the ball. Is you just go. Wow by a kiss his just just to sit there and watch this guy. Shoot a basketball. Well that's how you feel when you watch. Trevor throw football when you get to see him live and you get to see him move. You just go. Wow i mean it's just it's just different. He's a he's a face of a franchise. I think trevor can be an international superstar. Football players at become international superstars Adding part of the part of that is just you know we all wear helmets and uniforms in you know you kinda get identified by that and then you take helmets often. You know you become a normal person. Sometimes you blend in. Trevor doesn't blend in In any regard..

"We just always have kept the main thing. The main thing our goals have been very simple. They've never changed We want to graduate our players. We won't equip them with the tools for life that they need life like we don't wait till football and We want to prepare now and we want them have a great experience and we want to win a championship. That's really what everything is driven in. It's never it's always stayed in that order which kept the main thing the main thing so okay in no nine as easy to say these are the goals of our program or twelve years later. Okay have we done well. We have a ninety eight percent graduation rate in the last ten years. Were the second winningest team in the country on the field but nine out of those ten years. We've been top ten along with duke in northwestern. That's very unusual. That's unique and our guys have a great experience. If you meet guys from they love this place And every signing class oh nine has worn a championship so it. But we've done it by staying focused on our core values. Being inside out not being distracted. You know not become an outside We'd been inside out programme. Having a belief amina attitude of belief lots of discipline. Lots of accountability. And it's not for everybody. you know. we have a lot of fun but it's a no nonsense place man. I mean if you're not serious about being great. It's not going to be a good experience for you. I'm talking about being excellent in every area of your life. I mean if you look at the initial by the way they want to go to the nfl and so sets up in the head coach. Second draft picks second in first round picks all right but we got a ninety eight percent graduation rate and that to me has been. Our greatest accomplishment has been consistency. We're not gonna win the national championship here. And i and. I love the fact that people were mad if we don't win it and that's great. I love to be in a place where we built expectations. Now where it's not just winning division or we ten gains now. People are upset if we don't win the national championship. We went thirty five years that win a national championship. And now then you go into in three years and you play for four of them. There's this and i love that. I love that ad but it still comes back to just not being defined by that you know we're defined by daily commitment. Our daily habits you know are of value of excellence. The type of men were developing through our pro bass what were defined by and if we can stay committed to those things we'll have we'll have our special years here and there And we will always be a team that will have a chance..

"And now move the sticks with daniel jeremiah and bookie brooks. What's up. everybody walk them to move the stick. Dj you and fuck man. The draft is almost here you can. I think he can almost smell it. I don't know. I don't remember what cleveland smells like. It's been a while since i've been there but i i'm starting to get fired up for this thing manage right around the corner. Yes right around. The corner menace always an exciting time. I think for a team. Builder scouts This is akin to the super bowl. This is what all the hard work culminates in. Is seeing your works in who you pick seeing the kind of contributions that you have to rebuilding The roster respected change so yes. A lot of excitement going around. No doubt was a lot of excitement with the best player in the draft who we agrees trevor lawrence out of clemson going to be the first pick their of the jacksonville. Jaguars gonna hear his name called. He's not going to be in cleveland for the draft. He's going to be with his family. But we are going to dig really deep on trevor lawrence coming up on wednesday because we are releasing really our favorite project we do each and every year which is the move. The sticks three sixty series. It's where we do. A deep dive on a few players in the draft and trevor lawrence is first up for this year's three sixty series and buck. I mean the guys we've talked. We've talked to his his brother. We've talked to people that coached him in high school. We've talked to his parents. We've dug deep. We've talked to teammates a you name it. We have checked every box. And done our homework on trevor lawrence and i cannot wait to share that with. Everybody is a fantastic project. It really gives us a an opportunity. Go behind the curtain to really reveal who these prospects are who they were coming off and how they've gone to handle their success on the way to being at this stage in on this platform so it's an exciting time to talk about a lot of prospect of particularly about trevor lawrence. We've known them going all the way back to high school year. Round with the elite eleven. I had a chance to join up there at the opening to watch him compete with justin fields. Again a fascinating story with them growing up so close to each other and actually having spent some time working out with one another. We're actually going to talk to the coach. Who trained both of them at the same time so again. It's a phenomenal episode. Can't wait for you guys to listen to this one. Hopefully you'll enjoy it as much as we did making it. One person who has a lot of insight on trevor lawrence who. We recently had a chance to spend a lot of time with was his college coach. Dabo sweeney one of the most successful coaches in college. Football has really built sustained. Excellence there with the clemson tigers and it's always great when.

"But i don't think we'll have a year like this ever again. It used to be member. 'member the big discussion christian. Mccaffrey didn't play bogeying now. This is a whole different conversation with these guys play in a year. So you never know what the scouting world challenge facing. It changes from year to year. But definitely this year a very unique challenge as you try and stack these prospects. We are headed inside the body shop. Today we are going to bring raider nation into the move the sticks bodyshop to see if we can't fix this engine and fix this vehicle here. That is the las vegas raiders and buck. I feel like there's already been some some work done on this car offensive line. The overhaul has begun here. When you look at some of these changes yet. James those significant you talk about the removal of three veterans from an office of line that i believe might have been the best unit on the team as though now you have to think about repaying the office a lot while also devoted your time and attention to the defense because this defense has been bad and they need upgrades up at linebacker safety corner anything defense. They can take it. They need to upgrade the divas of unit with a new defense coordinator. Gus bradley coming up now along with those changes the offensive line. They really like andrei james. A young player they recycled miller to a long term contract. So going to be different looking offensive line. But let's start fixing this engineering. That's what we call doing using the draft to get this vehicle up and running so seventeenth pick. I'm gonna go jeremiah. Sukor moa the linebacker slash safety from notre dame. Somebody that can play a variety of roles. Could be your big nickel and be your will linebacker gus. Bradley really values those linebackers at the second level. That can run in cover. And that's what this kid can really do you talk about darwin. James and his versatility and gusts defense. This is another chess piece for bradley yet. Absolutely is a nice. Gsp's because we've talked about the versatility that's necessary to be dominant defense. You have to have one player. Who could be the swiss army knife. You're right about j. o. k. Being able to be the big nickel weakside linebacker the playmakers designated blister eve brings a lot to the table when it comes to really solve with some of the and black biggest needs. Yeah so again..

"Chat room, social media all over there in our own digital playground study groups are available to we have, like Bill Cooper, Tracy Twyman and others you go into, you could read and actually be in their study groups learned from what they have to say. And this way you get a well rounded education. What's happening here? We back up everything we say with research, and that's why we want you to join aftermath on media. Rather than just being a part of a social media group. You could be part of a movement where you're educating yourself and learning from our library and learning from the things we research here tonight. We have a very great show of real. I'm finding this show fast. It's good to have J dire with us tonight. I wanted to point out something about Bertrand Russell, who was an associate of wells after Wells died. Um Bertrand Russell wrote, Uh, 1950 to something called the impact of Science of society. The idea of establishing The technocracy that we are seeing now would be rival of doubles. I mean dollars has been around since 19 seventies. But just the idea of Dabo's having more power in the World Economic Forum establishing their power allowing for juicing Ping to say, Welcome to the New World Order, and now we're happy. The United States is going to jump on board with us all. This is what Bertrand Russell said about the impact of science on society and you're being told to follow the science of the supplies. He said. I think the subject which we of most importance politically in the future. Is mass psychology. Its importance has been enormously increased by the growth of modern methods of propaganda. Of these. The most influential is what is called education. Religion plays a part, though a diminishing won the press the cinema And the radio play an increasing part as well. It may be hoping in time anybody will be able to persuade anybody of anything if he can catch the patient, young. It is provided by the state with money and equipment. The subject will make great strides when it is taken up by scientists into the scientific dictatorship. Social psychologist of the future will have a number of classes of school Children on whom they will try different methods of producing an unshakable conviction that snow is black. Various results will soon be arrived. At first, the influence of home is obstructive second. That not much could be done unless indoctrination begins before the age of 10. Thirdly, versus set to music and repeatedly intoned, are very effective. Fourth of the opinion that snow is white must be held to show a morbid taste for eccentricity. But I anticipate it is for the future scientists to make these maxims precise. Discover exactly how much it cost per head to make Children believe that snow is black and how much less it would cost to make them believe that dark that snow is basically dark gray. J. Dire, You know, what he's basically saying is is that we need to teach the kids that two plus two equals five if the party says so, if the child is not learned that two plus two equals five, and we will banish him to poverty, or we will probably do worse to it. Yeah. George Bernard Shaw also spoke along the same lines and and they basically said that in the future, technocratic dignity dictatorship, you would have to come to them and convince them as to why you should be kept alive. So it's It's a totally psychopathic minds. I don't know where I found it Interesting he talked about. He used the term teaching the kids. The snow is black and and convincing them to see their black or dark. Gray doesn't sound a little ironic that he's bringing that up when you realize that the next agenda the big agenda of Dabo's Is to tell us that the world is warming. Rather than snow being black. The world is warming and we know that with all the volcanoes have been erupting. We know we're all things been going on. The planet is cooling down now. And even with all of the geo engineering that Bill Gates is backing we can see that you know, through Kim trails or whatever you wanna call them. They've been trying to cool the skies for the longest time. Well, that is also another PR thing that we used to be that it was global warming. And then it became climate change. And so really, they just kind of change it to fit. Whatever is needed at the moment. I remember reading articles some years ago where they were saying that we will never have snow again that snow is going to be a thing of the past because there's so much global warming. There's too many people that you know. Humans air heating up the planet. And because of that, we're just forgets. No, no more snowmen number snowball fights that will never exist. Children are being born right now. That won't even think there is such a thing. It'll be like a distant you know, Golden era fantasy of this stuff called Snow. Just the most absurd propaganda that they've been pushing out for a long time. But That fits perfectly into what virtue Russell's talking about which I like the reference that you had there to O'Brien in 1984, which is, you know, he says that you're gonna have to convince them. That not just that. You're saying what they they want you to say and what they want to hear, But they really want you to believe that two plus two is five? Yeah, e I mean, pretty soon you're not gonna be able to fake it. You have to believe through every fiber of your being. Two plus two equals five. You have to believe that this is how it went down. You cannot question it. There is no second opinion. The party says it is the way it is, therefore, that the way it is, If you question it, then you certainly need to be de programmed or need to be going toe. Education camp around it up. I mean, you're hearing all these Nazi buzzwords lately, like cleansing the population or you've heard now that they say that people like you know, Ted Cruz believes in the big lie, and I'm thinking they're taking these these words right out of gerbils. They're taking them. I mean, you were looking at the propaganda master of the Nazi party. Basically using terms like the big lie and using terms like what Gates was on Stephen Colbert, and he called the vaccination. He said that it was the final solution. And then when Colbert corrected him, said, I don't think you should call the final solution because conspiracy theorist will have a heyday with that new lab feels good point. Good point. But then again, Bill Gates is a mouth Uzi and Bill Gates, the disciple of H G Wells. He follows him and George Soros and and and and, you know Henry Kissinger. And and all of these others that have been these mouth Uzi and social engineers that have been part of this from the very beginning. Yeah, well, you mentioned Kissinger right? State Department Memorandum 200, which was to you know, engineer, famines, food crises and so forth to depopulate the third world when he wrote that Now, of course, that's that's going to be engineered for the whole first world. And that's what they mean by that great reset. This is an older revolutionary idea that if you look the French revolution, for example, they wanted to reset the world back to quote zero and for club swab and Davos. The idea as well. So called capitalism is caused all the problems of the modern world. So why don't we just destroy it? And we'll have an austerity right? We'll go back to austerity measures. Everything will reset. That's why they've been promoting. Things like, you know, living in tiny houses and be a millennial Don't don't own your land or anything like that. Just roam around And don't you know, make up Don't have kids. I have a family. That's just just be a mindless sort of consumer. And that fits perfectly into that, you know, move you into a mega city to a smart city. Live in a coffin.

"This is the worst crisis I've seen in my lifetime. Harvard Professor Ken Rogoff on what President Biden needs to do fast. Have the ability to a process called reconciliation to pass this with just 50 Democratic votes. Gene Sperling on Pandemic Rescue plans it be merged mercy with mites in the mites with rights and poet Amanda Gorman. All this and more coming up in the next hour of Bloomberg best. All right. One of the big questions of the day undoubtedly is. How will President Biden's rescue plan's impact the economy? Right, Denise? And Of course, this is igniting a new level of debate over how much deficit spending is good or not good. And one of the people we caught up with this week to talk about that was Ken Rogoff, He's professor at Harvard Bloomers, Tom Keen and Francine. Look, Wall asked Rogoff What? President Biden you should be doing. First and how out of whack the fiscal situation is in the U. S. And they start here with the deficit spending thing. Let's listen in. Well, we're in a war time situation and a situation like this. You do whatever it takes. And you figure out how to pay for it later. I think the thing that's probably most out of whack is we probably need a more robust system of taxes and transfers to deal with inequality. But in the short term, there's really very little alternative to continuing these deficits as long as the markets will permit it. Remember conversation can with you with Professor Stiglitz and Dabo's where you were in agreement on an optimism to grow our way out of our fiscal difficulties. Are we gonna be able to do that? With the new potential GDP of America? I mean, I think that's not the point at the moment with the pandemic is not over. This is the worst crisis I've seen in my lifetime. I think since the Great Depression, this is worse than the financial crisis on. We have to try toe have a robust plan for dealing with it. And this is this is catastrophe Relief. This isn't you know, stimulus yet. I think we have to get there with infrastructure spending and such. And President Biden has a lot of ideas about that. What is true is as we emerge from the wartime economy whenever that is,.

"Dawned on me as I was reading a lot of disenchanted post of Cuban on followers. That Cuban on now has a lot of explaining to do. And I got back to my ideas before when I was talking about how it was a self organizing collective intelligence that was created by in Q Tel operatives. The day Betray is talking about back in 2012. What do your thoughts on the purpose and the origins of Q and where we're gonna go from here? Gee, that's a big question Well, I think I'll start with the last thing he said. Where we're going to go from here. Um, I think it's it's been pretty clear to me at this point that Chewing on The movement never has to be delivered on these promises that Q has been making this whole time. It has been a constant carrot on the stick. You know Something's going to happen tomorrow. Something's gonna happen in a few weeks. It keeps going like that, so I think it's Extremely possible that they could twist themselves into such a pretzel. Even after biting gets inaugurated. This is I mean, this is a pretty wacky prediction. But I think that they've twisted themselves into such a pencil that in some strange way they could actually believe that even if I did and steps into the White House and gets inaugurated Somehow, Trump is still the shadow president secretly guiding everything and Hey, crazy thought that they could even somehow twist themselves into becoming pro Biden. I know that some sort of strange, but they don't want to believe that Donald Trump is going to leave the presidency. I could see them on some level, still continuing to believe that he is somehow the shadow president. You know, that's interesting. The hideout in the bunker, right? It's just you should bring that up because somebody had told me Who is it is a Cuban on follower told me, he said. He was one of the guys I was talking with, and I asked him. You know what? What do you think's happening? And he was saying the pieces. Here's something that you need to think about Clyde and what's that he goes. Guess who's gonna be a Dabo's When they had the World Economic Forum, and I said Who? Donald Trump. But why would they invite him to Dabo's? He's not gonna be president when they go. Apparently, he's been invited to Dobler's t Be there at the world Economic forums reset meeting, So I mean, I don't know. That could be true. But I got that from a Cuban on followers. So that idea that he's ruling from behind the scenes sounds a little weird when you consider he may be a Dabo's Yeah, I know. It's strange. I mean, I think they will continue to pull things because the Q and on movement at large has been very good at pulling little kernels out and sort of creating narratives around it to make it appear. That certain events are happening like you know, there's certain things happening in the Italian government right now, For example, where it seems like, you know, the kind governments having some huge problems, but Acumen on woman has sort of been saying that this is all part of some kind of larger upward. The Vatican's going to go down the pope's going to be arrested and that the Italian government is going to collapse like tomorrow. Completely right. So this is sort of what they what they do is they inflate these real little things you hear in the news? And I think you're asking earlier about the origins of curing on. I mean, I specifically listening to you. Your intro I This is the first time I have heard this this theory about the in killed in Q tel thing with General Petraeus. So that's very interesting to me. I'll definitely have to look into our DARPA. DARPA was thinking long and hard. It was after 9 11. They were talking about creating what is known as the self organized intelligence, collective. Or it was a It was the idea that algorithms basically what you do is you. You create something where you give a statement. Statement that whatever Q is, is a computer that basically says I'm going to make a statement and the statement is the following People in government are pedophiles, and they are using human trafficking to fund their their evil ways. And they drink the blood of these Children. On a daily basis and people that's so outrageous. I can't of I believe that because you know, we've heard a lot about human trafficking all the way back to the Franklin scandal where we had boys of the White House being abused. We hear about what goes on a bohemian grove we hear about all these things go. All these horrible things That happened, of course, is something that you want to even you don't even want to think about But you know, in the elite circles go people like Epstein and others. They're trafficking girls. Or, you know other people that are involved in that sort of thing. So, yeah, I mean, it's it's something that you you know, we don't have the proof, but you certainly have the speculation. Then people feed into it as they feed into it. The organized.

"320 to Thursday. It is 7:21 Sunday morning the final day of the NFL regular season going to be kind of a crazy day. We'll find out who makes the playoffs in the NFL going to be very interesting. I'm excited to watch the Buffalo Bills play the Miami Dolphins. I'm really hankering to watch Daniel Jones and the Giants play. I want to see how he does. Today's episode is very short. I'm not going to hold you here too long. I really just want to talk about college football will talk about college football playoff who won who lost and we'll talk about Georgia Cincinnati at the very end. I want to start today by talking about this though on New Year's Day in the college football playoff semifinals, Ohio State beat Clemson, 49 to 28. And first of all, it's a fun game to watch. I really want to give a shout-out tspn something. I very rarely do the presentation of the game. Awesome, the whole game felt epic and I mean that the hype package before the game. I was so excited and then I really was glued to my TV. The first half of this game was amazing the second half drug on a little bit as a Ohio State pretty girl was going to win but shout out to ESPN and they did a great job and it's kind of kind of shocking actually like this game was so well done by ESPN and it's like it's such a superior product to Monday Night Football, which is all done by ESPN. It's like like why can't Monday Night Football be as good as this was I don't know maybe maybe a playoff atmosphere helps. I have no idea. But every time I watch a really hyped up big intended college football game on ESPN. It's really well done. And it makes me sad that Monday Night Football isn't better. My only criticism I guess of the presentation was that I didn't like the yellow first-down indication on the bottom right of the screen. Mimic I'm thinking that there was a flag on every single play Elsa go first. And then is there a flag was just cuz it's yellow for some reason. I don't know why they did that but otherwise man every facet of the presentation. I don't normally talk about it comes to games phenomenal very well done Dabo Swinney Clemson had Clemson's head coach. He put his foot in his mouth and he was wrong for whatever reason. I don't really understand. Well, he'll tell you his reason. I think it's stupid Dabo Swinney ranked Ohio State number 11 and the coaches poll behind Palm Coast North Carolina, which is laughable..

"Not Rob would fork well. Sandy Clemson coach Dabo Sweeney is the butt of jokes after his Tigers took a 49 28 beating from the same Ohio State team, he said he ranked 11th in the Coachespoll because the Buckeyes didn't play enough games. So it's fair to ask after a three touchdown loss in the college football playoff dab Oh, you want to take that back? No, I don't regret any of that and folds have nothing do with motivated. Both teams were highly motivated to play. Mr. They're a great team. I said they were good enough to be that's good enough to win the whole day. I didn't think anybody that didn't play at least nine games in my pole. I'm gonna put him in the top 10, so I wasn't gonna change that. Just because there was a chance we could play him. Aside from the gloating Ohio State rebelling in one of the greatest performances the football program has ever seen. "I mean, you're you're super involved now with the NBC and I love that Craig Robinson's done a phenomenal phenomenal job taking over being active. Like I feel like that organization was dormant for years and he's done a great job. And I know you you're involved in that you've been involved in some other things because otherwise your wife's going to I mean, like like there's no way if you're not doing something. What do you get going to be annoying her? Well, she know what first of all she's really busy and and everybody with with the zoom meetings and everything where you know, I mean one party email. She's another you know, we got the we have to find out what when I can walk in and out of the kitchen, you know, because she's there in that area. So we gotta get our schedules coordinated, but but you're right just you know, as far as the dog See, you know, the National Association of Basketball Coaches is our governing body, you know for all of our divisions all divisions of college basketball and we're very proud of the association and I'm I'm very proud to be on the board of directors of that. I've been on that now for for a while and and now that you mentioned Craig being on new executive director and he's doing as you said so well a tremendous job of like us and supporting us, you know, we have great leadership and you know take anything away from Jim Haney, you know, but Craig is jumping in now and Baton has been passed to him and and we're proud to be a part of it together and I want a few committees. Actually. I'm on I'm co-chair myself and Frank Martin from South Carolina. We co-chair the racial reconciliation committee, which is a very important job that was created after the George Floyd murder and I was asked to share that and I was wow, you know, it was really blown away that I was asked to do it and but we've taken initiatives, you know, we've been fighting for certain things with them. Organization to help you know us to you know, bring about change to make a difference, you know in our society and through basketball, you know, whether that's the elimination of trying to take on elimination of old SAT and ACT test standardized test, you know, we're doing things when we were heavily involved with other coaches as well with voter registration, you know, some different things that have come up, you know come down and I have been a part of you know, something as anchor coaches for another initiative. That was his his baby in his brainchild is called a John McLendon minority leadership under the name that you guys, you know know who and and Bob you probably you probably knew, you know, coach McLendon. I wish I did know I didn't yeah. Oh totally well aware of. Yes, just the legendary faith. And and so we're we're you know, we have that's a coach driven initiative. You know, we're all coaches. We have Patrick Ewing. We have Coach K. We have Dabo swinney's Nick Saban football basketball. What channel is the one he and I have kind of been the anchor coaches, but it's been he's driven. It has been his idea. And that's something that we're bringing about having minorities more minorities women and men wage being having exposure and access and opportunity on athletic campuses to become Future Leaders, you know, we've talked about how do we get more? You know black people African Americans minorities in leadership positions. Well, this is one of the ways that we can try to do that to help diversify athletic departments.

Clemson Coach Dabo Swinney Ranks Ohio State at No. 11 in Final Coaches Poll

"Davos, Sweeney can do whatever he wants with his pole. It's kind of why nobody pays attention to the coachespoll anymore. Now that we have the playoff committee rankings, we don't need it. Because when dabble places Ohio State number 11 Hello, Florida and Oklahoma and Georgia, Cincinnati and Coastal Carolina as well. It clearly was just to make a point that Ohio State did not play enough games in his mind. Not that there's 10 teams. Actually could beat the buck up the same way no power. Five coaches put Cincinnati in their top four. But seven group of five coaches did see the coaches are always acting in their own self interests. Davos swinney has been using it basically since he took over as the head coach back in two thousand eight and I know we're not supposed to be here. We're does willow beer but we about the Tigers man. I'm so proud and just quickly remind us. How much has little clemson accomplished in the last five years? And how do those accomplishments stack up against some of the all-time great teams. This will be their fourth national championship game in the past five years and obviously they have won. Two of the past three national championships backpedaling Lawrence flips absorb open wide open just native. Where's the pen strengthens? Its the championship game really witnessing one of the all-time great runs right. After or maybe you know in conjunction with the dynasty that Alabama has had attack territory with very likely a victory formation and a fifty fifth win but this clemson senior class. The Tigers Tigers reclaimed their crowd by four Alabama. We are really truly talking about one of the great runs. We've seen in this sport and yet they seemingly get no respect at least if you listen into what Dabo Sweeney has to say we win to the team that beat South Carolina. And it's we we get clemson out. It's the dad gummed state so it's big because you know they can't vote us out. I mean we gotta we gotTA WE GOTTA go thirty. You know I mean we got no choice forced but Stewart I wanted to talk to you about some of the things Clemson has had to overcome to get where they are today because in some ways it makes her accomplishments even more remarkable. So let's start with the schools location. This is a school that is in the tiniest towns announced in college football. The main drag is a half mile if that they have one of everything and only one of everything one starbucks Fox Walmart. You've got this eighty thousand seat stadium hundred fifty thousand people rolling into the town on the weekends. it's incredible bull and but then they all leave. You know Monday through Friday. We kind of have our own world and it's named Clemson. It's not named university. University of their state and Frankly University of South Carolina has a much bigger fan base in that state. CLEMSON's not even the biggest Followed team in their own state. And I imagine it's harder to build that fan support when you don't have the state name in your school's name 'cause fans can identify so strongly with the state there from. Yeah I mean obviously the one big exception in College Football History Notre Dame that has a true national following but that goes all the way back to the nineteen twenties and and new rockne is taking them on the train and playing games all around the country. It's truly unique when you think about the kinds of programs that we're used to seeing at the top of the polls the Alabama is the Ohio states. It's the US's these are schools with big huge national fan. Bases Clemson truly is still even with all the success mostly a regional school well and a lot of people might not realize this but clemson has had to recruit locally for the most part I mean. It's remarkable if you look at their roster. How many of the guys as our from North and South Carolina Georgia in Tennessee every program? You know the the core of their recruiting class is going to be in their backyard. But clemson's up until recently. He was almost entirely from their backyard. And really that mirrors Funston as a school their alumni base something like seventy percent of the alums live in three states South Carolina North Carolina and Georgia. This is not the kind of place where anywhere in the country you go. You're going to find clumps in Bar And one other big thing. That's working against Clemson. Is They play in the ACC weaker conference where where they don't really have a rival and it's almost like people forget about clemson during the regular season because you know they don't have very many marquee games. Yeah everybody watched. Trevor Lawrence and Travis E. T. N. and and T- Higgins in last year's national championship game and saw how great they they were and then the season starts in people. Stop watching the game. They played against Texas. Ain't ammon week to was the most watched game they played this season A little over six million viewers. That was not even one of the top twenty most watch games in college football this season. And if you look at that list of the top Twenty Games Ohio Hi oh state was in five of them. LSU was in four of them Michigan. who wasn't even all that good was in three of them? When talks about lack of respect the thing that bothered him most is this year? was that none of those star players Trevor Lawrence WHO everybody assumes will be the number one pick when he's coming off his junior season travis? CTN has been one of the best running backs in the country the last three years. None of those guys made the heisman ceremony. And none of those guys were even finalists for the award for the best is player at their position in. That's not because they're not great players. It's because nobody watched them this season. How has clemson been able to overcome some of these kind of systemic? Systemic challenges. The fact that they aren't this historical powerhouse. The fact that they're in this tiny town in the middle of nowhere South Carolina would have been the keys to to them building this program into what it's become. Yeah well it really all starts Dabo swinney. He is a extremely unique personality in college. Football one moment along the way that I think have stuck with everybody was Dave beat Notre Dame in practically a monsoon in twenty fifteen regular season and they interview him after the game on. ABC what nine listen. We're giving scholarships give you stipends in tails in a place to live. We're giving nice uniforms. I give you good service tonight. It was big. Well Gee Bring Your own God put some dads and to me that personifies daboh like. That's not something. Most coaches coaches would say in a post game interview and kind of set the tone I think from their Dabo. Swinney is the fun coach. He's the coach who when they built their new football facility. They put in a PUTT. PUTT course welcome to the outdoor pavilion miniature. Golf Renfro just happened to catch the game winner in the National Championship Against Alabama. We'll see what he's got here. Your place on Punsalan rest for the weary. We'll at hunter and so that became their brand there. The Fun School there the place you want to go if you WANNA play college. Football get an education education and have a lot of fun doing it and to amplify that message. Clemson was really ahead of the curve. I think With how they used social media to appeal to recruits they are constantly putting out videos And other images that show exactly that that show that take you inside side. The Locker Room and inside the facility in show you how much fun they're having Show you Dabo swinney dancing in the locker room after a win Stewart. How would you describe Devil's dance? Moves dance moves are about a clunky and awkward as you'd expect from a middle aged dude but but certainly in keeping with his his personality. There's also a video that they posted of Disney filming a football ball movie at Clemson last night. Any five thousand people here. We have to shoot three plays and the entrance from valley in a half of a half time. Half time the real players went off the field and a whole bunch of actors and Clemson. Uniforms came running onto the field and the and the the crowd cheered them on. And and you know made it seem like a real football game and the footage is going to be spectacular. It's one of the three loudest crowds in Clemson visit history. And what role has the rest of the Clinton coaching staff played in the rise of the Tigers when Dab oh I started getting a going at Clemson they weren't a national powerhouse yet. They were starting to get better. He did something that was a little unusual at the time and basically took a lower salary for himself in order for them to spend more on. assistant coaches. Because at that time. They weren't necessarily rolling in money like some of the programs that they were trying to compete against. They they were paying their coordinators top dollar money and those coordinators played a huge role. I mean they were the ones that certainly Chad. Morris was the one that recruited and coach Sammy Watkins Skins and certainly does Shawn Watson. The guys that got this run started now. They are rolling in money. An data was making nine million dollars a year. And that's you know that there's no longer a disadvantage for Clemson. But they were very smart about how they went about managing that in the early years of this run.

LeBron James continues fight against NCAA, announcing support of 'Fair Pay to Play' Act

"College sports yes you're listening to caspian los angeles lebron james has this thing called the shop right this show on HBO and gavin newsom the governor of california has been talking about newsome awesome was a baseball player at santa clara yes so he knows that they monetize student athletes all the time so you do you have this i do okay this was newsome with lebron maverick carter on the uninterrupted deciding whether or not to sign a bill that would allow college athletes to be able to monetize their name and likeness and to be able to make endorsements our cash here's gavin newsom i don't want to say this is checkmate this i don't want to say this checkmate but this is a major problem for them to be brought the maverick carter put pen to paper right now what is going to change and what's it gonna do it's going to initiate initiate dozens of other states introduced similar legislation and it's going to change college sports for the better by having now the interest finally of the athletes on par with the interests of the institutions now we're rebalancing that power arrangement let's do it let's do all right so he actually signs the bill on tv cowboy this this is this is number one reason reason why we've created this platform to be able to have moments like this where we got the governor of california signing a bill to allow athletes in college in here's a little bit more from lebron sure i don't wanna say this house opinion about it went off to any one of these big time colleges where i'm pretty much that twenty-three jersey would've sold all over the place without my name on the bag but everybody would have known the likeness my body would have been on the NCAA basketball game two thousand and four and the sosthene center would have been sold ought every single night there so coming from the this me and my mom we didn't have anything we wouldn't have been able to benefit at all from it and the university of neighbor to capitalize on everything that i would have been for that year or two or whatever so understand and with those kids are going through i feel for those who've mcguire that's wild personal in that obviously was today at training camp mason and orland ESPN LA lebron james there you heard from gavin newsom to me this is the silver bullet solution to paying college college athletes it is well first of all let's make a point here though this particular bill does not authorize colleges colleges to pay athletes what it allows is for them to make money off of their name and outside agent and to be able to be due to endorse somebody or something like to endorse nike if you're a top-flight athlete and this to me is a very fair way to deal with compensating college athletes because those athletes with a high profile will make a bunch of money those athletes without a high profile won't necessarily make anything so to me this makes perfect and complete sense if you are as he said lebron james at the collegiate level last year if you were zion williamson you could have been a nike endorser by the time you were a freshman at duke and it would have been totally okay the biggest stars would make the biggest money and and that's the way college sports should move forward this is insanely overdo it should've happened a long time ago ed o'bannon was in the room and ed o'bannon was the guy hi who originally filed a lawsuit against these guys because he was the face of a video game that made millions of dollars and he got zero from it when when he when the national championship at UCLA the NCAA which if you listen to the show you know i think a bunch of phonies and i wish the whole organization organization will go away but the NCAA makes billions with a b. often these kids billions and as brand points tout the kids often in the case of of some of these inner city kids come from poor households come from single parent households could really use a little bit of what all this money that they're making and and let's make no mistake here when lebron stock would not allow us ed oh man manning is an example when obama was at UCLA they sold a number thirty one UCLA basketball jersey in the student store that sold out as fast as they can get it in their UCLA was ranked number one in the country ed o'bannon wore number thirty one and they were all wearing it at the games how do you make the argument that that's not his name and likeness of course it's his name and likeness and if he is being marketed and sold like that he's entitled to a percentage uh of the prophets and the funny thing was mace they wouldn't put his name on the back so his actual jersey would say o'bannon by the students store would just be number thirty you're just get around paying him and lebron's one hundred percent right yep that that this is something that that should happen a long time ago i'm glad that gavin newsom here's some stake in the lead on this and your next thing's going to be well the NCAA is threatening to keep teams from california out of let's say the college football the playoffs are out of the NCAA tournament the way this bill was written first of all it doesn't come into effect till twenty two twenty three correct so nobody that's a student now is going to benefit from it it's it's gonna start in twenty twenty three and they've written the bill in a way that the NCAA can't do that can't can't single them out that's how they've prepared the bill how's that we'll read it read the LA times article today it explains it in detail they've written the bill which basically soclean prohibits anyone from in indemnified these kids from being ruled eligible for this for this specific so campaign NCWA keep a school out if a player is making money i don't think they can well that's what that's what the NC double a. threatened has threatened to do but the way this is written is that it would make it illegal for them to i would compare to the donald sterling case donald sterling when he sued the the NBA his shelly had already indemnified the the sterling's from being able to so he was an essence ensuing himself off the NCAA if you read the times article today it lays out in detail how the NCAA can try they can try and and do this but the way the bill has been written is it would not threaten their eligibility now the NCAA rules they try and change the rules but andrew how they're going to do it with new awesome i think this is going to it's going to force the other states to what is it going to go on like i i can imagine a world where if california's by itself and california schools i would imagine since he NCW becoming an advantage owns the college football playoff and runs the NC double a. tournament i can imagine them being excluded however this bill is now picking up steam in south carolina it's which would affect clemson it's picking up the contrary very to you know dabo sweeney who says the day college athletes get paid he's gonna walk away so this guy with one hundred million dollars guaranteed state of new york is now pushing this legislation nation i think the reason why twenty twenty three why in five years this goes into effect is to allow other states to catch up to the state of california when you're which by the way other states are always catching up to the state of california right well think about it if the other states don't follow suit it gives the the state of california a tremendous advantage in recruiting and other stuff they have to follow suit or their kneecapping their own teams is the the interesting thing to me is that so many people at the NCAA we are now trying to say no no no this this is a bad thing it's a bad thing because of course they're going to say that it puts them out of business it takes money out of their pocket but you know what you watch all the conferences are gonna come out and they're going to say they're disappointed the twelve does say they're disappointed in the past passage of SP SP to a six believes it will have a significant negative consequence for our student athletes and broader universities in california well of course they're going to say that larry scott by the way makes five point three million in dollars per year and he's not good at his job now he's terrible terrible it is a job okay so the bill and it was the person who brought it to the due to the floor was a state senator named nancy skinner she's a democrat out of berkeley and here's what i was talking about with you before present sound too liberal prohibits hits the NCAA from barring a university from competition if it's athletes are compensated the university of california system the california l. a. -fornia state university schools stamford in USC all opposed the bill saying they feared it would increase costs to ensure compliance with the law and lead defines or expulsion but the bill specifically prohibits the from barring university from doing that so let's see how it all plays out now he's newsom said that that presidents and boosters urged him to veto the bill let he felt strongly the state needed to address the racial gender and economic injustices justices that exists now in college good firm decision absolutely the right thing let's see where it goes

Introducing the College Football Playoff Predictor ... which likes Clemson better than Alabama

"Analytics releasing its college football playoff predictor yesterday, the calculates every teams chance to make it to the college football playoff into win the championship in the criteria are strength of record f. b. i. number of losses, conference championships and independence status. And of course it's Alabama. Of course, it's Alabama. No, it's not according to model, Clemson has the best chance of reaching the playoffs with a sixty, seven percent chance to thirds chance that cleanse it will make the final four and twenty four percent chance a one in four shot that Clemson wins the national championship followed by Alabama Georgia. Notre Dame in Washington, ryen russillo I thought what jumps off the page you there? Clemson's loaded on defense their entire defensive line. One of the linebackers top thirty players in the league. They have a little bit of a quarterback controversy, which is ironic because Alabama also, number two. On that list. You could say the two top teams have some quarterback questions, but. Least they have depth of that position. It might have more to do with Clemson schedule here, but they play am. Bama plays Louisville just like Clemson does as well. So maybe it's the LSU game. But I imagine some of the analytics projecting a slightly easier road for Clemson, but talent wise, there's no team that's more has more depth than them. So it makes sense. I'm gonna probably clues returns, fifteen star, Alabama returns tan. There are a lot more likely to win the ACC than family. The SEC and Dabo Sweeney has clearly distinguish themselves wanted to top coaches and recruiters in
