"Any athlete understands recovery is essential an arguably just as important as the workload itself to achieve peak performance in recent years even among amateur athletes, we've seen a growth and acceptance to what's the necessity of taking the time to really focus on recovery. But what has actually entail for one year muscles require time rest and particularly plenty of sleet repair and grow, but taking the time for active recovery such as stretching. And Foam Rolling Yoga also play a large role in keeping the blood flowing and helping rebuild from intense physical activity. You're listening to twenty minutes fitness and I'm your host Martin caster twenty minutes fit is partly powered by shape scaled up and three d body scan that visualizes your body composition photo realistic three in recent years technology has rudy started to supercharge the fear of active recovery there methods such as icing cryotherapy. Percussion therapy also commonly referred to as massage guns, compression therapy. All the way to infrared sauna have been long used by various. Bro Athletes for recovery for today's show, we've invited highs founder and CEO. Anthony, cats hi FIS has been one of the leaders in the field is known for its iconic products such as the hype vote massage gone the Viper vibrating foam roller as well as the compression sleeves their products have. been used early on by NBA stop there such as Lebron James and the late Kobe. Bryant and today there aren't they use by pros and all the major us. Leaks the English premier league as well as Olympic athletes. We chat more about how he first got started with icebox neoprene and also take a deeper dive into the science and also some of the best practices behind some of these recovery methods and devices. Hi Anthony I'm excited to have you on the show today. Can you tell us a little bit more about yourself to kick things off? Yeah. So my name's anthony cats on founder pipe price. I founded the company about ten years ago it started out really just as an arm project like I was before this I worked in education was a high school teacher I was married to professional. Athletes and I was still really active and I still play sports and was sort of looking for ways to improve my body and sort of slow the aging process and I started my by started kinda get more soar after do things and you kind of start to see like the wear and tear you know grown up in the in the Dark Ages fitness in the ninety S. People used to basically do bodybuilding it wasn't very functional and that control my body in in. So I start looking at like, what would it winter pro athletes doing? You know because obviously they put the biggest premium on. Their bodies and sort of the new kind of things if there was anything new that they were doing that I can adopt and when I did sort of the research on, it was funny like the word recovery didn't really even a quiet sports like that. We use it now and there's a category now but they're back then. You know recovery meant like alcohol recovery or something you know. It didn't mean the same and so the industry was really dominated by like sort of these like medical device companies that would make products that would live in athletic training room for in professional sports and mostly what guys were doing for like you know just. To recover faster faster was was ice was ice tubs. Getting, getting a cold tubs and then, and then they were icing their joints and then if you getting a massage in athletes paper massage and stuff, and that was kind of that was kind of what the recovery will look like in two, thousand ten and so I figured okay well, you know if you can't really market a cold tub but athletes are icing their joints every day and they were doing it with plastic bags and ace route or Fight in every single day. Yeah. It's really wasteful and just like you know it's just not really convenient leaks in you know Dallas is kind of what they were doing. So it Kinda struck me and around this time two, thousand ten. So beats by DRE was relatively new. You know they debuted at the two thousand, eight Olympics and the Osa basketball guys were wearing them kind of adopted this idea that you if someone wearing something right and you know if I could make something that was good enough for like pro athletes to wear that people would see it on them and because it's on their body because it would be like wearing potentially like wearing them, you know on the sidelines or Photos, in your starting, it was Kinda before instagram. So it wasn't really the access to like the behind the scenes of what these guys do is not really the same level of now because I feel now we have a much better window into what what sort of the athletes are famous people do in their you know when the camera's not on. This kind of struck me. If there was a documentary called the last dance about Michael Jordan and it was showing how different famous then where he was the most famous person in the world and he'd get off the team bus and they would just be like a thousand people waiting at the hotel just like watch him walk in the door and we don't need to do that anymore because now everyone has we see what people do in the cameras. And we have twitter, right? Yeah and so people and and then there's way more content right? So there's just way more content of like, okay. What is sort of what is an athlete? Do? They're not court in got used to be pretty mysterious people in an intriguing so I figured that if I could make an icing product because athletes have to is every day people see maybe what sort of kind of catch on A in obviously not a school would beat because it's music that's universal but I still felt like young athletes might adopt it. So I had the idea to make like a really cool looking is compression device, and so I started researching therapy. The. Compression was import element of it and I had. A friend of mine who's a college basketball coach was regularly working out with Kobe Bryant and in Kobe was known as the biggest like that. He he is more than anybody and there was articles well-documented about how he really took care of his body. So I thought if I could make a prototype and I could show it to him and maybe you know maybe get into weirder sort of my thinking and I showed it to them I. so I literally was cutting up wetsuits and going into like wetsuit factory's GonNa live in a beach community southern California. So like there's some of the old Lexi factories that are still around back then so I was kinda compression sleeves and then taking ice bags from like you know from like rite aid or whatever, and and and just kind of like putting them together these compression sleeves. Trying to make something and you know he was really receptive to the idea that there could be a product that would make more efficient and it would actually look not just be so wasteful. So I a couple times in he kind of gave me some really good criticism that was constructive and what I realized like this can't be an art project like this is not how businesses have to like if I'm. GonNa do what I gotta do it. Right. So I gotta go get like. So I was calling manufacturing companies and it was during the recession and people weren't really interested in talking about no experience at all and just sort of this but one company believed like, okay. I kind of had proved that I was like interacting with Koby in the disciplinary doing for him and they kind of just took a flyer on. Maybe we'll try helping sort of developed sort of come the extra separable and so took about a year I. Got I, finally convinced him to do it. We took about a year to kind of develop the product properly I had the idea to put an air release valve at is bag because when ice melts, it creates like air pocket in compression doesn't work because it blocks a compression. So if You have a button that releases the air. The compression always makes contact with the ice and then you get your eyes compression therapy and that's that's the whole idea behind it was that I would watch guys ice and then I would see these like there's a big air bubbles forum. It's like because the heat from your body is exchanging with the ice and then that creates natural gas, which is A. Form of like air and

You're in a different country every week. What have you been doing? What have you been doing this whole time? Well I took time out to press reset so long nights up on the computer projects whiteboards making sure that I keep everything together sourcing or started out making sure that I have at least one hour straight jogging. While treat run streets straight men tash straight for the bring a up and at least forty five to fifty minutes. I'm ready to go. Go go go go. The brain has to get that and the first meeting of the day. Since all of this quarantine has been to wake up and start working out a no no wait cardio exerciser but I went to a secret warehouse where somebody been working on something for five years okay. I'm not going to give names. I'm not gonNA talk about it. I'M NOT GONNA yeah. I didn't even tell you murder last night. I didn't even tell you what I did trae. Now you're GONNA love this. I don't go on rides in Disneyland and all that stuff like the real big the big rides but what I do do do do what I do. Is I go what I do. Is I go into the virtual rides you know where you sit in the chairs and the chair in everything moved but you watch the big screen and it's like you feel like you're flying and you're moving and everything's moving. You know those rides. Everybody knows it closed door. Take Black Room. And you're moving. So I did go to Disney world once with Justin Bieber. Him Selena and I got bullied into going on a roller coaster which was worth experiencing. They were laughing at me for the first five rides in and I was like okay. This is embarrassing now. I have to do this to save some kind of face with the two of them because it was like becoming embarrassing anyway so what I did last night. I know this trainer right so I see him about a month ago and he text me. I want to show you something I've been working on. You gotta come try this right so I'm like okay. I'm like I don't want to run a private studio. You'll be by yourself low blah. I'm like all right because it's corona. You can't really do anything so and it's closed so he's come by. I don't write him back for a month so two days ago. I finally goes mad because I'm like I WANNA start. Actually training with a trainer even been working out a little bit and I got bigger Murdo. Right my soldiers back is huge right now. Big Boy big boy bigger much bigger the swear anyway so I finally look at this thing and he sends me this thing and I go. What is he sent me a youtube link and he goes. I've been working on this for for five years and I want you to try it and I was like okay so I see this video. I'm like I don't understand what this is okay. Are you ready? He goes. It's not. It's not a jam. It's out of a building in a warehouse. So I take the Rolls Royce. The Green Rolls Royce in a back alley somewhere. And I'm like what the fuck. Where am I? He greets me outside anyways to me and he takes my temperature and he puts me on oxygen meter to make sure that I have no Cova Corona. And he's really crazy. 'cause they're not open he just wanted me to try this and show me dry. I walk into this room right the doors close and it's twenty bikes so like soul cycle and I don't go on by them. I think to go cycling. And it's a huge fucking screen and he goes to put your heels. Keep your shoes on for the first time. I get on one of the bikes and he goes to start going start. Going all of a sudden he goes. Where do you WanNa go I go? I don't know let's go to in San Diego all of a sudden the fucking San Diego comes onto the screen huge full screen like a movie theater. I get on the biking pedaling and guess what the bike starts going. While I'm going. It starts moving left and right up and down so I thought moving looking at the screen. It looks like I am going through the fucking thing like in the movie theaters like Disney. Except I'm riding the bike exercising going one hundred miles an hour. It was the best exercise. Bro It's San Diego but then if we went through Malibu we went through all this stuff in the middle of it. It's all music videos that are playing and and it just comes on really quick to get you going in and you're like back onto the roads in San Diego driving for writing by the ocean. Stand up sit down and you're like moves. The whole bike moves up though everything going. You don't WanNa you don't WanNa stop. I WANNA stop. I did the whole hour. Almost can't walk today and I didn't WanNa stop and I'm ready to go back tomorrow. Well how cool is that good? That's the newest new. It's not like regular cycling. It's like the. He's doing exactly what he was talking about right working. He's working right now. On the other side we come out more stuff to go. We're going to see the difference on the other side. I interested in now. I know posted that live thing which raise like a million dollars. Were you were you part of that so? I want to show you something. Everyone South Orion right by you waited. Everyone did it too early and I hated the ones on TV. They were more depressing number. I respect back to see or the culture's been the same thing to me just seem right. Everyone was jumping on I. G. P. or three. It chair at a very good coming up with creative stuff. But as sort of to do sermon give them but then she said it to me one night he wanted to do the show. That's a tribute Terry. What was premiums? When he mentioned it should unemotionally was Sunday. I mean probably said a couple of days. Oh probably thinking. Wow we will. How can we do it with one or to or get given raising money for Coleman just what we're going through right now they don't want it to seem with all the bells and whistles all the sponsor yellow people to come.

When is it time to take out the trash?
"Friends and podcast land. Thanks so much for tuning into dre. His point of view. I'm your host is Dreux and each and every week. I'll be bringing you a topic that I feel passionate about doing that. In ten minutes or less for those of you is short attention. Spans are mind wanders with those longer shows so wanted to keep it short and sweet and I'll be doing that with absolutely no co host at all that way you can totally only a completely yet dreyer's point of view that being said. Let's jump right into this week's topic ones at time to take out fresh shoes you know. We all have back Goto pair. We've had for months sometimes years. We notice a little bit. Wear on them for inside of them but yet we still keep them although we have other shoes that are comfortable. That's our favorite pair so we just keep wearing them. We've got close that we can still wear but haven't worn in a while some we haven't worn it all tag still on it yet. We still keep them in our closets or in our drawers. Why is that? Why don't we just toss them? Donate them sell them friends. We have we've known for ever. We grew up with these people. Were not as close. Life happens but we still consider them a friend. Maybe a different level. Maybe they're acquaintances. But we still keep them in our contacts as our facebook friend. Why is that so we can just add to our number make a little? We've got a lot of friends some people you don't hear from except on her birthday or maybe holiday is that considered a friend. Why do we still let certain people get a pass? Why do we give people a pass? I was in a restaurant the other day I saw this couple. Sit Down and the lady. She had a she said. In one side the wicker chair part and the Guy. He sat and the comfy booth part and she asked them. Why didn't I wanted to sit there? Why can't I sit on that side? She went on and on about it for a few minutes. Couldn't hear his response but UTAH. She was unhappy and the fact that he allowed her to be. Unhappy was really gap me so I told a friend of mine and he was like well. You know clearly. It wasn't their first date. She used to treat Nur and he kind of way and she accepts. It knows what kind of history they have together if they have kids together. What have you and it's it was a sad situation either way. Why do we tolerate certain things from people? I believe as adults. We have a choice on who we allow to come into our lives and sometimes people will no longer serve any purpose. It's okay to be alone. No you don't need everyone you don't need to hold on everyone that comes into your life. History are not. Why do we still hold on things past their expiration date? Sometimes it's time to take out trash you're in a relationship in a cheat on you or they become abusive. Why do you stay at? What point do you leave? You know you feel comfortable. You don't WanNa be alone. You're afraid but you know it's not right yet. You still keep them in your life. Why is that? Everyone's tolerance level is different. But if you know something life is too short to wait for somebody to act right. You're unhappy let it go. Just why do we hold onto things and people? I don't I don't know just just think about giving some thought in your current relationships on future relationships Wednesday time to cut the cord to delete some of those contacts to spring clean so to speak. "Rock and Roll Hall of fame in Two Thousand Sixteen. That's Dr Dre all That's what I grew up with. I had an older sister so I remember her. Having the cassette tape of Snoop dogg style. Doggy style and I remember the artwork with the dog house and like the doll with like the female booty it was like so Raunchy and just like oh my gosh I remember like sneaking looking at it I really I just really was a drake fan. Said that been there done that song I loved. Um He did. He had the firm with Foxy Brown. It was foxy Brown as he wasn't Nas too but I remember that firm album had the jam that like all the stuff that wasn't really too popular when he was really aftermath lake. I really just like I was on that as a kid like I was tuned into that and then to see him just lake Reemerge aftermath grow with Eminem and fifty lake and then with the beats lake. It's pretty dope amazing just to watch that journey and just the delay man. Nobody thought hip hop would go. As long as it's gone like people thought it was a fad. It was just going to go away. But y'all see these top ten globals in played in the US league ninety percent of the songs in the US. One hundred percent of it is hip hop globally. It's usually like eighty ninety percent. Hip Hop is universal. It ain't going nowhere and Dr. Dre became a billionaire off of it. Kudos to you sir. It's been fun watching him now. I definitely appreciate your time. Is Disney Plus one of the biggest launches of all time?
"Launched in November. We've seen a lot of hands of the service was popular last night. Though Disney laid out just how popular in less than three months Disney plus was hit. Twenty eight point six million members. Now I know nothing about streaming so just Joan had just. How big is that really. That's really big like bigger than Netflix. Not Not bigger than Netflix but Netflix has been streaming for a decade. Netflix says at one hundred sixty seven million subscribers so twenty eight point six you got a long way to go still but Disney plus just launch like less than ninety days ago. Okay so in three at that as well. How many how. Many months away already from Disney killing Netflix. That's a really good question. Everyone wants to know that and we don't really know exactly except that we know that Disney is already like so they said it will take them five years to get to like sixty to ninety the only and they're already almost halfway to the lower end of that threshold so they're growing much faster than they thought. They were better than any expectations. The other thing. That's interesting is even though Disney. He plus launched in November got like these millions of subscribers mostly in the US net flicks is still growing in the in the US. The managed in in the midst of all this competition. They didn't grow a lot. People were not real happy with how much they did grow. But you're still adding members even as Disney's vacuuming up all these other people for streaming services. So what's really really hurting is cable. Oh no poor cable giants. I really got to feel it. You know I feel really bad for them. Missile where where's Apple. TV Fin on all this so they launched around the same apple. TV launched on November first and Disney plus launched less than two weeks later. And we don't know like it's apple they don't say how big they are the things that we can kind of cobbled together. We can't even coupled governor any sort of numbers. We can generally generally estimate that they have a lot of subscribers in the sense that they basically gave away apple. TV plus to anybody. That's device since September. Anyone who has a new iphone. Anyone that got you know something under the Christmas tree or for a holiday or a president. Whatever during that holiday shopping season They also were able to just like flip. A switch basically internal probably means they have a lot but that's no not paying them so so what's next like when are we gonNA see Disney. Plus you know maybe have a eleven joining the avengers or something. I don't know if that's going to happen. That would be really interesting crossover but I mean we do know that Disney. Plus it's going to be launching into Europe watching the Europe Europe and India. They're gonNA lodging. Your Evan Indian March. They're going to be expanding. Hulu to international markets markets. Right now who is only in the US. They're going to expand that next year they as in Disney Disney Disney owns who also Ho boy. And then in terms of originals. We know that there's going to be the first marvel original original series that ties into the marvel cinematic universe. That's first one's coming in August. The next season the mandatory ends in October. And then they're gonNA have their second marvel original in December so there's a lot coming up this year all right well next up spotify. It's still in the lead of streaming music services This morning spotify. It has hit one hundred twenty four million subscribers and that twenty twenty two hundred seventy one million people that are listening to spotify total Joan. How's that stack up with competitors like title and Pandora It's funny title isn't really talked about much because no one. It's not really music so Amazon. Music says they have fifty five million people listening that's not necessarily subscribers. Because he Amazon music included they said there are fifty million listeners apple in June so that Apple Apple Music has sixty million and so obviously you know spotify double that number of subscribers not to mention the fact that like it has more than two hundred million people listening every month. It's just it's a lot. It's the biggest subscription music service and the reason that they think that they can become even bigger focusing on podcast today. They said they were going to buy bill. Simmons Ringer like network which is a website for news. But mostly our podcast network at this point. Because you know every single title title's it's actually an interesting example but Pandora Apple Music Amazon music. They all basically have the same catalog staff. Titles the one that has like these exclusives from it's owners but obviously that's not really really working really well for them so spotify thinks that in order to distinguish themselves they need to go after not necessarily music but podcast. Because that's not the Gimblett recently. They've given it last year. They bought anchor last year. They budgeted up to five hundred million dollars to spend on podcast. Acquisitions why does spotify care. So much about podcasts. Listen how much would they like to buy the daily charge they do. You have like five hundred million dollars budget you start the bidding there. They lay podcast because they think that. That's a way to distinguish themselves from everybody else. And you know. It's also going right after apple. PODCASTS are called podcasts because of the I pod like dominated rock for a long time. So it'll be interesting to see as everyone moves over to streaming instead of downloads if spike can eat apples lunch. Well Yeah I've seen that for Apple Apple Music. The the bigger draw for their PODCASTS. Live radio station stuff right because that's what I've been hearing about it because there's news that happens on those Nicki Menaj goes on some rant. Like Travis Scott's baby like on her life podcast hey like Dr. DRE will say something new right there. I mean is that Kinda what spotify is trying to go after radio one. You're talking about radio. One which beats radio and I think I whatever. I can't even remember what it's called but That's it's not part of their subscription. That's like that's something that anyone can listen to inc for free and so it is a way to like drop interest but the main reason apple music it's people to subscribe is because they're in a responses offenses because they're on iphones and it's the default saying
How to Leverage Unfair Advantages in Your Marketing
"Welcome to another episode of Marketing School. I'm Eric Su and I'm Neil Patel and today we are going to talk about how to leverage wjr unfair advantages in your marketing. So Neil what are some examples of unfair advantages. Sure unfair advantages is like Kylie Jenner really releasing Kylie caused medics when she already has a huge following and allows her to instantly become a billionaire but close enough in which I know. That's not Overnight success that's a overnight success ten years in the making it's more so she's able to leverage her brand and grow superfast or beats by dre leveraging aging all their celebrity connections to having them where their product and then apple ends up buying him out. But the list goes on and on. And you're seeing this kind of stuff in Seo Seo email marketing you know like people getting influencers in having him on their landing page giving testimonials which helps improve conversions. But there's a lot of ways that you can have have a unfair advantage over your competition. Yeah my opinion is if artists start all over today doing a business. I think it's most important to build an audience. I you know if I were starting. I'll all say look I gotTa Take Care of survival so maybe I might be working fulltime for a while so I gotTa Take Care of you know my my bill's GonNa take care of my food and everything like food and drink but once I got to think about okay how can I start building. My brand and example of this would be when I think about Jake and Logan Paul. They built their brand off off of vine. Initially and now they're superstars not only on they. They have like a huge volume. They have a huge instagram volunteers. All over the place so I think fundamentally you build the audience. I and that's how you build your unfair advantage and to Neil's point once you get your unfair advantage going. You're going to have a group of people that you can serve your audience and you figure out what they need and you can build around that where we can buy around that. But the unfair advantage is Warren Buffet and Charlie Munger always talk about the moat. I think when you look at Coca Cola is an example. Their brand is there moat right. That's what makes him such a good company yet and Eric's really spot on like a prime example of this is what with Uber suggests now Has Grown. I'm not saying it's the best APP or anything out there but the reason is also grown so fast because I had a huge brandon had such a large traffic traffic in the marketing SEO space. I probably in the digital marketing specifically space performance marketing. I probably have more traffic fake than anyone else. When you combine social and web like blogs podcasts all that kind of stuff yes there are Gary v's who have a huge audience but He's not necessarily in the performance marketing space. But when I did that and I ended up. Releasing Uber suggests I'm getting more monthly sign ups shorts free but but I'm still getting more monthly free sign ups than any of my competitors are even if they have a free version like sem rush. I'm still being an. I'm doing that without paying for ads. But it's because I built up millions and millions of visitors and followers over the years. The question than Neil is people are thinking okay. Look we're starting out right now. How do we build an unfair advantage? In how long did it take you to build your unfair advantage. You think like to get it to start to take off. It takes three plus years ears. You know I said it takes three years to do anything decency traction. You should see results within the first six months but really three years for anything to truly start taking off. It doesn't mean you'll get to where you want in three years. It just means us when it really starts taking off and what you'll find is the web already saturated. Yeah you already know yet to go Omni Channel. We've talked talked about this. But if I were you and your unfair advantage start off with the channels at your competitors. Aren't leveraging you know a lot of them aren't leveraging social platforms like tick tock yet and you you may say it's not a right fit for my audience that's fine. You'll also find that Lincoln's been around for a long time but very few. Your competitors are posting on there on a daily basis this or going live on Lincoln even though they have that feature and gets tons and tons of reach yet very little to no people are using that feature online. Did Yeah Awesome but also from my side is as I see that things are things from personal side. When I look at the twitter that I had in the past and my other channels I really wasn't touching it that much and I was kind of leading people? My team manage it but once I started to manage it. The engagement rates shot up. Because it's actually me talking and it's stuff stuff that I mean I post stuff that makes my blood boil right and I test different things. So keeping here is if you're building as your unfair advantage is starting to build. It's starting to snowball all you have to think about how you can also try to deals point earlier go a little Omni. Chen diversify a little bit and let the snowball continued to build. It seems like you might be losing focus there. But which if you had the same focus message across. Those shouldn't take you that long to repurpose it. And you see everyone starting to repurpose now. So everyone's doing it. Then you are not going to have advantage if you don't do it right so think about that as well
NBA 2020 Predictions
"About My tween twenty bold predictions now. This isn't just for the regular season. This is for the off season. This is the beginning of next season to these addiction that I think that potentially could happen. I'm going to say them here today. And maybe you can agree with me some. You may think this crazy in some you might agree with. We'll have to see my first pro. Prediction is that both L. A.. Neither one of the LA teams will not make the Western Conference finals. I think a team will beat them or since the clippers. Don't take care too much about seeding in the Lakers. Stay the number one seed if the clippers land four or five. They'll play the clippers in the second row. They'll play Lakers around. which would men? 'cause obviously semifinals matchup US and other Western Conference finals match. But I also feel like there may be a team that could upset me maybe Houston is probably the most likely that could upset one of the LA teams and. I think that they're going to keep them from making the the the Western Conference finals. I know a lot of people were expecting that to happen. A lot of people are wanting to happen. I'm sure it will be great for the Lee but I really think that that's something in my opinion that I think is going to happen. That's one of my first. Bold predictions of the twenty twenty season in further on my eh prediction is that the Golden State Warriors will form another super team. Now I don't know if there's going to be with Jaanus. It could be a cry towns because Golden State is monitoring situation but Golden State clearly knows. Listen with the way the League is if we want to be on topic how can we need to get an update US another super team together and I think that they're definitely trying very hard to get another another star player in there now. I do like that. Probably means that's the end of Draymond Green. But I think that's what they're aiming for taming to get their aiming to get another star in there to see to come back with clay and to come back with Steph potentially really they can make you trade for star because they if they do get a top three lottery pig. deathly do not be surprised. If they try to make a trade with that pick honestly they honestly could have just picked up an amazing asset for them because they could use that as trade bait in. That's good trait rate. You know maybe the team star is disgruntled. Maybe you never know. I mean this isn't somebody would think about like the sons have another bad year. We'll we'll give you our top pick and another guy. And we want Devon Booker. Obviously Yona how that work I mean you know. They're kind of doing the right now. And the end of the Russell even yeah no. We Really Devon Booker may be a better player Neanderthal Russell. But that's definitely a prediction I think could potentially happen. I think that the warriors warriors will form another super team. But it's not going to be as top heavy instrument of Kevin Durant who like the second best player in the League. That's why think if they got Jaanus it would be stacked because of state Stephan Klay can play like they play and then they completely put a better supporting cast around. Then you could say okay. Yeah this team is going to be very tough to beat. Even laker teams have a team. They may be looking up to but it will have to see because if they get any towns houses. This is a great player but we don't view him as view when Kevin Durant was there which means even though it would be very top heavy west conference. But that's when also and my pro predictions one of my other pro predictions. Are I think that revenue from the C.. BA will increase which will lead to more players undeserving of big major contracts. Getting big major contracts. I'm going to say any names. But it's like okay. Well I'll say this because I don't know if he's GonNa get it but there are people who are sometimes wonder now dre walgreens supposed to be a free agent this offseason offseason Draymond Green. We know he's not a guy who's going to score points we can do live. And he's a great gadget player. I would say but some people wonder. Would somebody pay draymond green the Max would they give draymond green that Max deal. That is something they definitely wonder about and like a question. Like why would you give you Max. If if there's more money to be spent draymond green could potentially ask for Max and if you like laundry a month you might give them close to it. I mean we already have players now. who try to sign that? First Max deal then take a shorter deal. Just didn't end up getting of that. Ten Year supermax dill. But you know it's one of those those things where I think that this will lead to more players being signed overpaid and I mean you obviously can see more cat room. It can lead the teams being in very weird financial situations with cap every team six Performing up to expectation and then you played a lot of guys a lot of money who may have never actually deserve the money in the first place so. I think that that's going to be something that's going to be interesting another addiction I have is. I think that James Harden will make it to the NBA Finals Cheer. I know that's pretty big. That basically means you're saying he's GonNa beat one or both La Teams. I think James Harden. This would be the best year for him to do it. I think right now this I flew. This is his best year do it. So I'M GONNA go ahead mcnabb. Oh predicts names hard. It's GonNa make the finals. These the rockets are GonNa make the finals. This may be shocking to you. But that's how I feel. I feel like that. Jr potentially do it. I feel like if he was able to average at least thirty in the playoffs and Russell could give him about twenty twenty three. That's fifty three between the two players and they have some good supporting cast. You can't forget about. PJ Tucker can't forget about Erik. Gordon Clink Appel. You definitely feel like they have all the potential attention in the world so potentially be a top team and so I would not be surprised if they end up being the top team they think they can be and making it to the NBA NBA finals. This year in basically just creating just such a great agree moment for the city Houston also another prediction. I think Diane if he comes back as soon as they say he come back. We'll still win rookie of the year. I think Zaylon has all the talents. Be A star of Zion. Comes back in balls out in just twenty points a game in gives you a lot of highlight plays. I think he will be able to squeeze out winning rookie year only only playing half of the year again. That's a pretty bold prediction but as I've anybody can do a Zairean can all takes his cause. Remember even the Luca one owned by a lot last year. You trae young exciting second half which made it interesting and don't be. We don't feel like John Moran is doing with Luca Danni last year so it's not as far fetched is not as it's not like oh it's completely impossible for Luca played so well and then trae young play well in the New Year but he's still play. Okay well it's like John Mirant is playing. Maybe the best right now. But he's not playing at local level from last year so of Zion can have maybe a trae young like surge in the second half of the season. I think he'll go ahead and win the rookie year. But it all depends on when he gets back. 'cause I do if he didn't get back to maybe mid February with that he wouldn't. It's only two months left in the season. At that point. He has to probably get back to move in the next two weeks and then just start going on a tear from game one because dial is full practice recently so he's clearly about to get there. Obviously you've seen him take jumpers you've seen him dunk Donc so I definitely things I on can win the rookie year if he gets back in time and my last bowl prediction is that the Atlanta Hawks will add a star player. This off season. I don't know who but I feel. They're gonNA add some but I feel like some of the issues they've had I flipped. They're going to add a star. Because I feel like you need to especially to make trae WANNA stay there because rotations rumblings that he might and I wanna stay. That may be something that you may want to do. If Your Hawks Front office you need to add some talent in their yep some good young talent but you're going to you know how it is as league view in a win you're gonNA have to give up that good young talent for solidified star. Obviously I feel like trays untouchable. But maybe Kevin Heard. Or maybe you D Andre One hundred maybe a cam reddish maybe push them shelby John Collins and I think they're gonNA make a trade for a proven star in this league and we'll have to see whoever that star is how far the Atlanta Hawks may potentially get because of it but that's it for me thank you for listening listening to the GMC football basketball podcast on the GMC podcast network. "So. Today is the twentieth anniversary of the Sophomore of one. When Mr Andrew Young Aka Dr Dre crunch thousand one the album featured such steel? Dare next episode. Forgot about dre. The I'm went on to go. Ah Copies and diamond worldwide and is considered one of the greatest projects west coast there produced. Yeah arguments they're called me a fresh for about how songs steal was famously. Written by Jay z the entire song. The goal go. Dr Dre documentary. Looks like seventy the documentary on apple music about the making of crunchy thousand one and he said that they were almost down to album and they wanted the first thing in the next episode and Jimmy. Dean was famously. Says it's a lot of orders. Let's if you've watched anything about veto drake you just need one more. Just need one more. And so Steve Stoute hit up dray looking for Hit Up Jimmy having looking for beat from DRE and Dray sent him some beats a bunch of beats to Steve Stoute and one of those still. Dra beat and he said he got it back in twenty four hours later entire song written bunge AC Dot dre offset documentary that the idea for the crotch thousand one came from him signing him in him constantly working with him Would Dr Dre said he's inspired by like moments like he said chronic came from him just sitting down being like being around. His brother warns you stepbrother. One gene like Oh. This is like which is doing here. Let me look. I'm inspired to make this right right. Jim You said yeah that's dollars. We got doggy style because Dr Dre was still clearly inspired and it took him nine days dogs Taisei but had it been more than that he would never got nine days brunt. That's it's a great album you made at nine days a week in two days. Only got it because it took that fight and he said 'cause they had made drilling and he pushed any longer probably never got a week and a have to Gallo basically a week to make one of the greatest albums one of the greatest albums history crazy forgot about dre was originally written eminem. My Name wrote that song for Dre and Snoop but dre seventy hurt the reference. He was like I think it sounds good with him on what imminent rotate he said He. You just turn it in that way you were you. You made a statement but you made a statement. They got some people in a frenzy. So Dr Dr Dre. Here's why I said this on twitter when With Jesus King kind came out. I saw people on twitter saying like Oh this is this is kind of crazy of the producer of all time. I saw somebody say greatest producer of all time which once I've seen people mad. People are greatest producer of all time. Say That you have to leave your entire town. What's it's now? Me and fresh have been very vocal about our disdain for kind of your currently but to not take away from who he is or what he was. Kinda is one of the Gracie property as we said the other week disdain doesn't stem from him musically it's all that extra stuff he do. So here's why Dr Dre and my opinion is the greatest hip hop producer. Tab One. The man cl- influenced an entire region of the country. Musically hip day is no hip hop in west coast. Without Dr Dre at all every time I go and talk to older you know Caucasians about what introducing the hip hop a lot of them say. NWEA who produce olive NWEA. Dr Dre who discovered easy who started in W. A.. Dr Dre I love Snoop Dogg Snoop Dogg at your love. Who discovered cover him? Dr Drew Produce Doggystyle Dr Dre nine days nine days. I'm not letting you go nine nine days to nine days to make they run around. I think dogs that was leftover chronic indefinite. Here can you hear that Andrey said he didn't want to be on an album. I but you know he said it was Deal see convincing to wrap on that Andrey said if you've listened to it. He's not as much as you would think he is. He said he just sequence. It makes it seem like he's on there so much. 'cause every song got a feature. I don't know I'm thinking about about it you now. What have listened to doggy staff like the next two weeks and so but yeah that but I only just that just west coast Eminem is around response because because of Dr Dre you fifty cents at biggest into club which gary very influential Bunda biggest songs of all time hip hop wise by Dr? It was Dr Dre Busta rhymes his first and only number one album with big bang that he produced the entire album and it was hard. It was arguably one of buses best albums you find me one hip hop producer that. y'All revere I think it's better than dray and asked me who's not influenced by him. Who would want to have a career? Lie Dri okay. Let's we'll go back to Konya Konya once again. Gain is produced some great albums to produce a lot of grace offered artists. But what artists is kind of you put out there to sold as much new dog. Don't worry I'll wait because before. SNOOP DOC highest selling debut hip hop album of all time the fifty cent and who produce their albums. Dr Drey has one and two Kanye West. Is John Legend and he didn't produce the entire project not even out guy what's his. How is John Legend? I know somebody driver. Scott Scott that signed to Kanye so try again. I really wish you hip hip hop started liking in two thousand ten would stop trying to debate with us to have been like a hip hop because we born into it about. Who's a better producer? Dr Dre that's why people see people say like what kind is produce hip hop being you. When did you stop? Because there's no way you're GONNA sit here or stand through. There's no way you're going to sit here and look at the history of your pop in production production-wise an influential wise. You say there's no way. Stop doing it. Like what are we talking about here. Like what what. What is your argument? Why AH I want to hold onto? Hope you'll get better. It's not gonNA happen. Stop it Houston Sima Jolson Lakewood Church KNOB. It's over Dr Dre is number one. Sorry man you. You'd be hard pressed to find.
The absolute BEST noise-canceling headphones of 2019
"Beats by Dre a has a new set of headphones that of power beats pro there to fifty dollars and they're over here they are independent of each other and they have an incredible sound quality I tested them out a few people on our team tested them out and they they're great noise canceling they have great bass it's it's a really good sound system I think comfy they're very comfortable they write they they rest on your ears they don't tan interior right interiors the way that some do you can wear them for a long time we really like and we tested a bunch so well and what's interesting is just to remind people as you know apple and beats are together and so you kind of get the best of both worlds here and I do think a lot of our listeners and viewers don't go in for it like the big over here they can yeah hands and you know what something is a little more so and these are waterproof or is it like from a yeah there's no way you can go swimming with them but yeah that you can get him pretty well but the cost the cost soon
Prepping for Baby #5
"Today. We're GONNA BE TALKING ABOUT BABIES. Those of you who listen to last week's episode or have been reading my blog know about our exciting news so yeah we'll be talking about that and how things have changed changed over the past five years of the past thirteen years in the case since my oldest was born and different gear recommendations that people have sent in so thank you all for doing those out. We're going to be doing more episodes about advice. Various people have for the baby stages and such. I just can't believe there's a thirteen year age. Spread that is amazing. Matt is going to be you're. GonNa have a built in babysitter right and maybe at least for the older kids. I'm definitely comfortable. Leaving Jasper with the older children home town in newborns are complicated well. We'll we'll see how that all works out. I'm so excited for you. I mean you guys I sort of had this like inkling and I can't even remember why anymore and then when she told me it was like so I just I just I'm so excited for this and oddly enough some of not just lower but like I feel like a lot of my very close those relatives and acquaintances are all having babies at the same time so we are very excited to do this episode and talk to Laura. More about everything this US expecting although although she of all the people I know having babies. They're all having their first and you're having number five question for you. Is You feel like you're inducted into some kind of like special five because I do feel like you know two to three a three to four okay four to five to me. That's like that's like the Line Yeah I. I don't know I mean I always joke that. Zero to one is the big change everything. Oh I totally agree more from the outside of helping okay. Yes as whether you have a truly early big family yeah I duNno big families. Are I kind of in my mind. Put Four to five as the same bucket and so then then the six plus is where it starts getting interesting. DRE this inevitable. One more than you have always seems seems big big deal but six six dots crazy only crazy people do that now. We we did the reveal for the kids this Halawani about reveal yes so I had bought shirts for all the kids that the older two boys had wants big brother again Alex Scott one that said newest big Bro and risk got a big sister shirt and then I had a little onesie that said little brother and we all sat down we'd gotten back from our California vacation and we were sitting around the table. Call the family meeting hit everyone on route the shirts and a Jasper looked at it in two seconds like you're having another baby like Yay yeah because he put the pieces together like already put the pieces together. I think he mentioned that he had talked about with Sam at some point that they were speculating about it because I mean he's not an idiot. He's twelve. He's in. I am not Flat Tummy Right. You're listening for twenty weeks when we told them subtle. It's at twenty weeks pregnant with your fifth kid. It's it's not entirely so I would say. It wasn't totally out there. I don't take a lot of people were guessing that it was was the case. Probably imagine a lot of what you choose to wear putting wearing flowing hide it but if you were wearing a form fitting tank top. It was probably being evidence so they were very excited. I mean the big heads. Were just like jumping up and down like oh my goodness. This is so excited. Alex was a little bit more wary but I think it's more that was just overwhelmingly no context for what this even means rights but he arrested him. This isn't their first Rodeo zone their first radio edit over the next day. You're too. Alex definitely was getting into the idea and the funny thing I mean. They're all coming up to me wanting to feel the valley. Feel the baby kick like they're talking adding to the baby because this is the thing I've been so aware of with four other children is I mean he's my baby but right. He's their sibling and there's more of them and they're welcoming him into this tribe of theirs which by the way I'm not a member of that tribe I bet tribe is the thing and so they have their own interactions I'd just really a reminder that fits baby comes into you a whole community that is already there and that's kind of fun to welcome to Josh use the phrase we were thinking about number three and we were thinking about the a significant spacing between two and three which is nothing like five but still he said Oh. This is going to be a family baby and I like that idea like you're totally having a family baby baby. Everyone has one and so the kids talk to him there. They've been calling him a a name which I don't know if that will be his name but it's going to be hard to not not named him that if they keep calling ads really not some of the names. Alex suggested Alex suggested Kylo Ren for instance the baby will not be Kylo blue. Wren remember that one of my good friends in high school they were a family of sex I think and then they were having a baby girl and he was. He named his baby sister. They picked a rather unusual name. Her name is Roxanne to like getting some Cyrano Diversion Berge at the time so academically inspired but it was pete's are thought it was so cool that like he got to pick the name and yes so maybe maybe that will happen in your family yeah now. They're they're all into it so very very fun. That is so hard for kids to wait. Wait another four months but they
Holdout Ezekiel Elliott still absent from Dallas Cowboys as first game draws near
"Saturday multiple outlets report that there is some progress negotiation zeke and the cowboys and the expectation was that they would have something worked out by the end of the weekend then last night multiple reports stated that negotiations had fallen flat once again the category on structure the contract like total guaranteed money over how many years not necessarily how much the contract could top out at basically zeke is holding says i want todd gurley contract and then some the cowboys you're saying no because the dot girly contracts hawks folks because todd gurley is not right and if the rams were asked hey. Would you like to go sign. The curly contract again like no no. We're good. We love me on that one. This amid word you always has more cowboys have consistently shown willingness to sign their best players to extensions with two years remaining and make a player. The highest paid his position the fact that they're preparing to start the season without ezekiel ezekiel elliott has a holdout says a lot about how they view his demands. I drafted zeke elliott in in one of my fantasy leagues would have drafted him yesterday and the other fantasy league and my logic is there rawson rachel. He didn't really have have anywhere to go. He's under contract going anywhere and the whole sitting out thing like all right. He could sit out a couple of games. They're not gonna lose to the redskins or lose to the giants or lose lose to the dolphins which is not and this is not the lady on bell situation. He's not a free agent. Franchise tag like he still is under his rookie deal. Deal cowboys are in fact offering him a contract above and beyond that of a franchise tag. They're offering emigrate deal. Cowboys need him. They need him for later in the season need him to win a super bowl. The team is built around. Having a solid running game takes the pressure off dak prescott because it helps it helps to hide the fact that dak isn't deck. I mean that isn't that special. He is an elite but when is given all the weapon who work for he's going. He's fine. He's he's. He's he's draymond. Green deck is dre mongering with the cowboys really really effective without the cowboys and all they have probably just a guy but it's really hard to i find it draymond green just hard quarterbacks league and he has the equity and he continues to grow in terms of being a leader but this is ross and rachel. They're on a break but they're gonna get back together. A namesake tony pollard won't matter in a week or two weeks or a month or whenever and it it feels like the the cowboys probably went back and said look. We'll give you tell total dollar value of that todd gurley we just want to protect ourselves from your legal and bad the way the todd gurley did the cowboys haven't publicly once said anything said anything about you know dude. You were suspended six games and we went to the mattresses for you. Hey dude you almost got suspended this off season and we would have been therefore you. We would have said how wrong it was. We have fought for you. There is some there is some some some sweat equity from zeke but there's also some equity from extended from the cowboys and the other thing about the ross and rachel story to be honest at some point it did take away from the show right like i get it ross rachel. We'll be back together. Who are they dating now. When can they get back together all this other stuff but i like chandler. I like joey. I like how you doing.

"But it's also you can tell that the people who made it at so much affection for this subject, which is totally different from someone being sycophantic. But so when you have Dray talking about different ways of scratching, and and kind of working with music, they'll be subtle little things when he's talking where they give those treatments to his voice. It will slow down a little bit pan from from either side. And it's when something is made with love it just is completely different already loved us. She goes every band on the way or every music largest on the way up or even an engineer like like like open whose name is pronounced Pronounce deferred. deferred. Outfit. Absolutely love him for it. And the fact that like you see that pretty much every musician stock out has the same. I have no idea. What's going to happen to here? I'm just going to give it a go. But of the point of the idea of, you know, access without sycophancy, and we've all seen a lot of rock documentaries co-produce with the subject, and you kind of going pretty easy on them. I didn't get the impression with this. And I think later on when we look at the episode Dylan you you'll have seen this. When we look at the episodes of Dr dre assaulting a female journalist, I've not got that far in the series. But apparently, it doesn't flinch it all and say, it was an absolute precondition of Allen. He's that he would only do this dre talk about episode. I think this is often been the case in documentaries. But now when you're working with people, and traditionally particularly in our world, there would be sort of separation between church and state. This is what we're doing in order to make you look like this. But actually that whole process now is what people want to and they they don't just want. They demand it and they're quite right to and there's a. It's not an era of transparency we live in a in a far more transparent age, for instance, when we're doing a cover shoot. Now, whether whether it's for the website or whether it's for the magazine. Part and parcel of the the actual image is the process. Everything is filmed everything is film from from. "No hear me out here me out here i took one loan in college i took it for one thousand dollars and because i had no extra funds i bought clothes and a playstation two thousand dollars cool so listen my point is i don't care if you want to put a link up it doesn't hurt me to not donate people may donate i mean you think it's the same thing is getting a scholarship because i got a scholarship now it's not the same earned that scholarship dr dre loses a trademark battle with a gynecologist named dr drey dra i so there's dr dre the hip hop artists there's dr dre the gynecologist they have been in court since two thousand fifteen dr dre the hip hop artists as there was confusion but it's dr dre real name and secondly dr drey the gynecologist literally a doctor right don producer hip hop guy is not literally at doctor so the court said no dr dre the hip hop artists you can't own dr drey north texas school ends birthday spankings after complaints wait they they do birthday sinkings an elementary school in north texas has ended an unusual tradition birthday spankings for the past eight years students have been called to the principal's office to receive spank for each year that's creepy they also get candy and a special pencil though this is just now getting addressed how long has this been going on in april two complaints about the practice surprisingly only i know and then the letter that students at the school always had the option of getting a hugger high five instead out of here but instead they got the spankings hurts well but you have to understand they also got a pencil candy can't let me give you a spanking.

"Oh you're all potential i think apple has always been kind of building on other people's products make something that's really just wow and have the killer app and i think that's really what the home hod and they're offering starting off and missing and general in industry could really use something that's like neat and cool and with his background and the machine learning with apple already they have the design team they're thinking put that together to really kind of well everyone i think everyone really appreciate that then fewer podcasts about them sucking hey i'll live with that i would love nothing more nick your thoughts i think the addition of john john dre at apple shows a restructuring of their organization before they were extremely decentralized unstructured in terms of ai i think they noticed how much progress amazon and google were making by centering their businesses around artificial intelligence and so they went out and got an industry leader to help them create some structure and some centralization because ai and the way it empowers voice are to stay that's for sure there's some interesting tidbits in this article from voice spot bread can sell a who wrote this did a nice job really laser in on a couple of important things one of the things that i thought was interesting is that this gentleman is going to be one of sixteen people that reports directly to tim cook and the article you know the bread has written here portrays that as a positive and perhaps it could be a positive you know the guys not reporting to joe smith middle manager you know way down the food chain in the spaceship.
