Energy Plan Launched by Tesla in the UK, Short Shorts Update
"Everybody Rob our here and today we are primarily talking about Tesla Energy Tesla has officially launched its energy service in the United Kingdom, and with that they've shared a lot of interesting details on their plans in that market. We then also have an update on delivery for Tesla's latest product or add. So starting off with Tessa Energy, tussle today, updated their website in the UK you can actually access this from I believe any country as long as you just go to the drop down and ginger location. So in the UK on Tesla's homepage there now, featuring a new product quote, the Tesla Energy plan designed for homes with solar and Power Wall. And Quote Tesla also has a nice little two minute video. They're sort of running through the entire process end to end. But basically what this energy plan does is utilized tussle power walls to create a virtual power plant in which Tesla will utilize their audit or software to manage energy storage levels in different distributed energy storage products such as the power wall. This adds value in a number of different ways, but I think the simplest way to understand it is to think of it as somewhat balancing the grid out Tesla can purchase energy when it's really cheap store it in the distributed network of power walls and then resell it when energy prices. Are High that's all managed in real time automatically by auditor software that helps balance out the grid and then tested profit from the differences in though selling prices. It involves whether you're power costs are fixed or variable your provider, the energy source that you're using whether that's renewable, -able or something else all of those details fit under what would be described as your energy tariff. So if we focus in on pricing, there are a couple of different charges. The first is what's known as a standing charge that is a daily fee they are paying basically for actively and UK power dot co dot UK says that the average staining charge for electricity in the UK is twenty point, five, eight pence per day twenty, point five pence is equivalent to twenty seven US sense. So that doesn't sound like a lot. But over the course of the year, that adds up to one hundred dollars on average. So that's the standing charge and there is a unit rate. So you're paying per kilowatt hour. Think we're operating used to that and on average that is fourteen point four pence per kilowatt hour sources vary on this, but it looks like the average home in the UK uses about four thousand kilowatt hours per year, which would lead to you `electricity costs five, hundred, seventy, six pounds per year. That's about seven hundred, fifty US dollars. So all in standing charge plus the actual payment for the electricity you're at about eight, hundred, fifty dollars per year and probably higher. If you have to charge electric vehicle. So with that context, let's look back at tussles energy plan and affect you. It says, what are the tariff details? Tesla says quote no standing charge on your bill, a twenty four, seven import rates of eight pence per kilowatt hour for current Tesla vehicle owners and eleven pence per kilowatt hour for non Tesla vehicle owners the lowest flat rate tariff available on the market as of October twenty twenty. So at eight pence per kilowatt hour and no standing charge over the course of the year at four thousand kilowatt hours you're looking at three hundred, twenty pounds or about four, hundred seventeen, which will, of course round. Up to four, hundred, twenty US dollars. So under that example, you're saving more than fifty percent more than four hundred dollars per year or about thirty five dollars a month remember though that's for the average around four thousand kilowatt hours. If you have an electric vehicle charging that, let's say that's double eight thousand kilowatt hours that should get you ten thousand fifteen thousand miles per year from your electric vehicle. Then your annual electricity costs go up to a little over twelve hundred pounds or about sixteen hundred US dollars under Tesla's energy plan that same amount of energy would cost about six hundred and forty pounds or about eight, hundred and thirty, five. US. Saving about seven hundred and sixty five dollars per year or sixty, five dollars per month so that all sounds great. The energy on this plan is all renewable but where the rub comes in as you have to actually by the power wall and in the UK that cost eight thousand pounds, that's a bit over ten thousand dollars. So if you're saving sixty five dollars per month while the payback period on that is about thirteen years. So on the surface, this looks pretty attractive and if you happen to already have power while. In the UK it seems like a no brainer. But unless I'm missing something on the math here, this is a complicated subject to me. It's not clear that this is something that everyone is immediately going to be scrambling to adopt where things get a little bit trickier to understand her on the math on is when we switched over from purchasing electricity actually selling electricity. So in the UK, there are a couple tariffs on that. There's a generation tariff and an export tariff.

7 Little Known Copywriting Hacks
"Welcome to another episode of Marketing School I'm Eric Su. Today. We are going to talk about seven little. No. In copywriting hacks and kneels GonNa Start I with any, you're gonna Homey Star I. Okay. So number one, what's funny is most people being by copy like, Oh, I want to be amazing like Ogilby for. Oh. I wish I can have my words to slow super smoothly from just like how Frank Kern does it. So the first copy I have for you is you don't need to be amazing writer the key to converting in getting people to renew your copying buying becoming a lead is actually answering What issue someone may have when on your landing or potentially buying, you answer those objections. A good example of this is you can use survey monkey hot, whatever you want type farm to survey people on your page, find out what issues they have an integrate those within your copy answered, their objections to suck at writing more conversions. All right number two. So when I'm writing I like using sentiment analysis tool, so you can just sent him an analysis, but put him whatever copy you have whether it's a headline or maybe it's Longer form thing, and you just dump it in there and basically score how positive or negative your content is an in general. If I'm trying to write an ad I wanted to be generally more positive. I. Don't like to induce too much fear. Yes. Fear is certainly one emotion you can tap into, but the Jenner I tried to look for positivity. So just go sentiment analysis tool. The third copy hacked that I have for you is all about showing the right copy at the right time. So for example, you have a Webinar may have copied that convinces people to watch your Webinar. If someone doesn't attend your women but registered you wanNA email him copies about the missing the Webinar. So what I want you to do is come up with multiple headline variations, fair copy, and you want to try to figure out which headline resonates the most deal customer. You is usually start unaware, and then they become probably wear. Then they become aware of a solution than your solution, and then you can make an offer to them. So think about that, you can use DA right awareness, interest, decision action, kind of similar, but unaware problem where solution where your solution, and then you give him off i. that is basically how you take from top to bottom when you're trying to actually get the. So, I have been I, guess following your excellent work in the world for several years and I am so inspired by what you say your mission in life is your purpose, which is the relentless pursuit of freedom. And so. As I watched. Some of your videos you talked about how you started early in your career really teaching principles of freedom to young people. But where you are today is rather than just share ideas. You really giving people a taste of freedom so they won't settle for anything less. So yeah. That's exactly a good way to to frame it out Because I'm a big ideas person and obviously freedom is it's an idea but it's it's really a lived experience. It's a feeling you have and I. I spent a lot of years. Trying to through just argumentation and education. Trying to expand the scope of freedom after myself and for others you know trying to argue for freer government policy is in, you know people that took to make choices to make themselves more free in their lives and. I. Found that it's really hard to envision. What you have to know what could be you have to have a bit of a taste of it in order to be motivated enough to make a change. So there's my favorite economists Ludwig von me says, there's three preconditions to human action. One is dissatisfaction with the status quo to is vision of something better, and three is a belief in the ability to get there and I find that whether you're talking about education, which is a space I've been in a lot or just any other career government, any areas of life it's not that hard for people to feel dissatisfaction discomfort with where they are. Of Vision of something better is a little harder, it's a little harder to be and I know that there is a superior version of my life over here and then I think the hardest is a belief in the ability to get there even if you have that that vision of something that might be better and so. I thought I've been I've been basically trying to convince people that the status quo. Socks, and to a lesser degree that there is a superior vision of life over here. But if they don't have that belief in the ability to get their nothing's going to happen. So if you just tell somebody you know, for example, the public school system is Scott all these terrible incentive. There's always reasons that it's bad. They'll shake their head and you can convince them pretty quickly and then if you say you know. homeschooling and run schooling. You know Sudbury model school or some other alternative is this better vision they'll. They might come along with you on that as well, and then they'll kind of walk away and say, so what because they don't know how to get from here to there and so I just I had this realization that. If you start with hey, her something for you give it a try. And if it makes your life back and it makes you more free, you'll want more of it. You don't even need to be intellectually convinced at all. You just choose to live that way without any argument required. And that's kind of to me entrepreneurship, it's creating the alternatives creating kind of world you wanna live in instead of just complaining about what's wrong with the world today so that it took me a lot longer than I wish it did not to go to that place where I realized all of his energy I had was better spent creating new experiences for people. Then merely it doesn't mean I don't WanNa talk about ideas, but then merely talking about the ideas. That makes such good sense to me. You know as I unschooled and allowed my daughter's to self direct their education. So many people said, wow, you're so brave to do that and it looked so risky and. She created better insoles for high heels and I think she's doing around like two hundred, thirty, two hundred forty thousand dollars a month in profit. Yeah I think so fashions coming back. There's way too many people that are spending time trying to figure out a new AD channels figuring out new creatives instead just focusing on. Hey, how do I maximize conversion by my downfalls might funnels, so I can scale from one hundred to two hundred three hundred. Because if you don't have that, funnel right over time. It's already proven you. You know other than co bid that adds continually rise, even during a recession I think covered was a rare circumstance because you had a lot of people had a shutdown, because business couldn't have people but I would really focus on commercial optimization, because it's pretty much guarantee just like taxes that Google ads on facebook. How to 10x Your Headline Success Rate
"To another episode of Marketing School. I'm Eric Su and I'm Neil Patel and today we're GonNa talk about how to ten x your headline success rate. So what was a quote from David? Ogilvy Neil I don't know what the quote in need of your dollar is spent on the headline there. You go so you gotta right good headlines. And by the way when we do these podcasts episodes. What will happen is myself. My team will put it a bunch of ideas and Neil later on his ideas as well. But the key thing as we're working on writing great headlines We think headlines that you're going to click and that's worked out well for us right but I think we want to give you some practical tips on what you can do with being consistent with your headline and one of the things. I love doing what it comes. The headline writing is I love making swipe files. What does that mean so facebook? I might find an ad that catches my attention. Al-samet in facebook you could actually save it and save it to collection minds called ads that. I like instagram. Save it adds that I like. I'm just screen shotting and I'm finding the things that stopped me in my tracks and what I'm trying to do there is. I'm trying to take the template of what they have. So maybe the headline is five simple ways to grow your instagram to a billion followers. Or something like that right. That's a template and then you can take that template modified to whatever you're offering but the whole idea here is you have a Swipe Library of ads or headlines that I've stopped in your tracks. And here's your trying to modify a template there and then you're trying to test these different headlines. That's an easy way to go about doing so. Eric when we started this podcast than the David Ogilvy s for you guys were listening and it's somewhat similar real numbers it at ten people read your headline but only two out of ten will read the rest of your content in other words if your headline is appealing. You're going to get way more people reading your content. Most people don't hence most people stop once. Read the headline. They don't continue going forward. The biggest thing that I like doing see most people wanting headlines I think of keywords when it comes to Seo or they think about Click Bay Alec evoking Yossi because vocal curiosity. I don't really consider that Click Bay. It's more so it gets people really engaged and hooked and it keeps the follow through so more people read your content or take action. We your landing page potential even buy from you so when I mean by evoking curiosity. Let's have an article on the benefits of green tea. I may end up putting like the seven benefits of green tea number. Six will shock. You and I'll put number six will shock you in parentheses right and I would only use that if number six is really amazing and most people don't know about it and it truly does benefit them because if it doesn't and it's not that great then you're just using click bait and I find out everything that I've done when it comes to. Evoking curiosity has generated the most amount of clicks and the most Monday engagement than anything else. The hardest part is figuring out where people are super curious that you know the one engaged in read cool so I'm going to add onto a swipe library. I was talking about earlier. The other thing that you want to do with your headlines to is when you ride them go to five or six people and try to get their attention one of the best strategies that I've seen someone do. This was John. Moreau and I'm probably butchering his last name. But what John used to do is go to group of drunk people and read off his headlines. The one that got their engagement and strike the conversation up and they wanted to continue talking. That's the one that he knew was a winner. It's a little bit out there to do that. Strategy is a little bit of work but it's a smart approach because if you're going into room people who don't want to pay attention to you and you can say something that grabs their attention. How have this outreach program? Because it's a it's not a cold call or code message but you reach out. I mean I have heard about podcast. Don't see you before. I think maybe stumbled on you when I've done searches but have you had good response on that. Yeah so we launched around two months ago now and we've got around two and a half thousand people using the pot full. I'm we've sparked about two and a half thousand conversations as well so it is going quite. Well it's been really interesting for me because typically I'm used to having a website with loads and loads of pages in and with matchmaker we've literally got one pages. The London Page. So it's been a very different approach rows but yeah it seems to be working seems to be kind of moving in the right direction and it takes time as I said I signed up. I mean right before we started and it was a quick process as I. I enjoyed that then I did I. S A like a guest. I like to have guest on my podcast but I haven't been guests on so many products in a way. Maybe I should think about more about that in the future But then how would you describe your salad for what should I say is a very short and sweet potato? You should have me as a guest. Because I'm a contrarian think differently regarding marketing and zone as I said I'm not maybe an expert but I've found my way through blogging. Since two thousand and two podcasts incident. Two thousand six. I have some kind of guidance would philosophy in me so maybe I could be an interesting guests fair. I don't I don't know maybe but I already signed up for but I want to have guests and already. I've got a person that contact me here right before we started recording so I will talk to him and we'll see because I'm very to have guests on my podcast. Then we could talk about. Maybe you don't see them as a competitor uh In the Green Room. It's a big market here and lots of space for lots of organizations companies and so on love. Have you used or have you heard about podcasting gifts dot com yes. I've used it but I have heard of actually and I've spoken to the founder Assad Service on Lake so yeah so I'm aware of that and I think Paul Chaser. If you're aware of that thank you say yes. So they've been working on similar. Say this as well. I'm like I said I I think ultimately competition is a good thing personally. I think it's agreed i. It's it's a good thing to know who your customers Focus on trading the experience. They want Not Really Worry. About what other businesses if doing. Yep The because I had an interesting experience we put causing guests because I wanted to. I mean I've been impulse for long time but I am very open. Would we'd my clients and stone. I could guide them how they should do a cost but I say that I have struggled with my own podcast. We'd say to do it on a regular basis because I served others on headwaters out of things going on but I haven't given up. I'm still continue with it `Bout give good advice how to do it on a on a regular basis so then I want to have more guests and I got like more than ten guests in in the pipeline and that was a good thing away but it was also. I mean how to schedule it. And so on and and to know when to put it in I've got almost overwhelming wellness. Where Australia interesting. Yeah but I I like this tested and then pod chaser very. I think still under wraps in a way because I feel out the long human you know survey and I say that too and a cold van later on to joke that okay. I'm all for data mining and SOM- but I I I did some sometimes funny comments on it Because they collecting data here that could be valuable for them and for people who want to match posters and guests. So I haven't seen anything there yet but I mean they are working. They want to create their database on. I like their service. Ev- idea very much but it will take time because you know. As we do the wrote to prepare plan blue record marketing podcasting production editing et Cetera et CETERA. And then it's a new round so to go on other sites and someone could be fine but I think it's a great initiative to to say to be like the almost like the movie database for posters but it will take time. Well I think I think I'm I'll be really interested to see how whether achieve thought. Because I do think that's kind of needed. And ultimately the industry itself is so early stage even though he's been going for a long time in the people at Yourself Paul casting for a very long time actually united but as a soul of widely recognized industry. I kinda feel like the last few years would of Audie I. What kind of web video walls maybe ten years ago where it was suddenly this big influx into online video? Everyone was creighton videos and uploading them A. Now you've got five million videos being watched every day on youtube five billion videos being washed up on Youtube and I think we're only at the beginnings of all of that with audio personally. So what kind of at that kind of early wild west phase? I think there's a lot of opportunity and everything's kind of up for grabs. Potentially the most important thing for me is like saying about competition and monopoly is the most important thing you can do is to focus on your users of what it is that. Yo uses guessing ounce of your service from the content marketing that we would doing around poke cosstalk. I we kind of realized that there was this gap people on the Cast of organization elements. You know that you were saying once you've got all of these Then suddenly there's more Tools and services that we can build within matchmaker to help people and we wouldn't have really realized we hadn't been doing the kind of type of content strategy and outreach we were doing on Polka stock and similarly we probably wouldn't have even build Polka dot co if we haven't overbuilt radio dot guy because we doing live radio streaming where suddenly getting them out down on demand audio as well so this stuff is you know obviously all connected and that's interesting As a how to say full directly The Green Room used Word Monopoly and according to my view monopolies only when we state is involved. So I mean it's always a potential to pop up and you competitor on services on and if the market will be free to to work then it will be a good way but then of course you have very strong how to say companies out there for example Apple Google. Now you could say we'll spotify and others but still it's market shares out very. Nobody's controlling it because they can't the thing is could be that is how. How do you use like the standard like the Horse's feed for example? I know that the the guys Royal Robe Greenlee and do what's his name in blueberry and they have talking about that on new media show. Maybe it's time for like a R s dot to dot or something like that because it's working but it's an old technology and we don't we take it for granted but as it is and I think someone someone public will come along and change. Sure so there's a bit less than seven million people that have just become unemployed and for the rest of the April by the time you listen to. This'll be towards the end of April. It looks like the unemployment rates are just going to get much much worse than this summer saying that in the United States alone there'll be more than ten percent unemployment rate which is thirty to forty percent. I heard Goldman Sachs a ten percent. I've heard some people say fifteen twenty percent I see the numbers ranging the problem with how they calculate unemployment is. It's not as simple as oh. You don't have a job like if you've been unemployed for over six months. They considered you not unemployed. They considered you. You Stop Looking. Which isn't accurate. Either right so it depends how they wanNA end counting you as unemployed or employed so actionable things in terms of what you can do during hard times right now. So what now better than ever like? I actually spoke to someone. That's that's freelancing right. Now it just depends on what you're doing maybe doing advertising. It's hard to say. Oh I'M GONNA go get clients right now but if you do want to get a job right now. They're a lot of people are still hiring and I will say that there's actually a in Silicon Valley. There's all these starts posting whether they're hiring or laying people off or Amazon hiring a lot. Cbs's Walgreens is is the biggest lead at three hundred fifty thousand but those are some of the people that are hiring Walmart. I believe this hiring like crazy right now. Well but then let's think about these other sites that let's say you have marketing skills or web design skills or whatever. There's a ton of remote job sites that you can go to we work melting DOT com. There'S UPWARD DOT COM. There's freelancer dot com and at the same time. Lake for you right now. Now's opportunity for you to shine. Let's say you're looking for paid opportunities but you have free time. Now's an opportunity to reach out the people that you look up to whether it's through instagram diem or emailing them and saying look. I know what you're going to right now. I'm willing to do some stuff and Neil talk about this. All the time is working for free for a small period of time building up that report quickly and then you know getting into some type of pave engagement. Now's the easiest way because people aren't making that much right now but they could use to help the easiest way to try to find a job right now is looking at skill sets. You have go find any venture funded company that's been funded recently. Because I mean they're flush with cash crunch base has a big list of them and go email the CEO the founder and the investors. What they're doing wrong and how they can fix it and lay it out in step by step instructions at the end just being like look best selecting this if you need help and you're looking for to hire someone. The Best Type of Content to Create During Rocky Times
"I'm Eric Su and Neil Patel and today we're GonNa talk about the best type of content to create during rocky time so again we're in the thick of it right now in this cove in nineteen. We hope everyone staying safe. So you know what we'll go ahead and jump into this right now because typically what you would do when you're creating content letters blog content video content. You're on a normal cadence you know. You're talking about the newest at least for us. Neil nine on this podcast new tools new marketing tactics all this stuff right but you know in times like this happen you have to kind of adjust a messaging that you have and think about truly marketing is is thinking about what are people's desires during this time and a lot of people they safety right a lot of people they want to be able to save their business and want to be able to keep the lights on. So you have to think about how you might adjust your content strategy and I think one of the smartest things that you can do is if you're lucky enough to have really let's say you have a product and you have special data profit while for example or even this. I'm looking at this website. Right here is go. Dot Within Dot Co and the euro the sub folders retail dash pulse. We can search for that and this agency right here. They spend about five hundred million. They manage five hundred dollars in ad spin. And you can see. Let's showing the different categories like ecommerce getting crushed right now. You know fresh is not doing that. Well and I think just having data and presenting a very simple way for people to look at their signs that is something that is genuinely helpful while not trying to prey on other people kneel. You can also use any cure research tool and type in you know industries that you're considering going after you'll start seeing trends over the last twelve months and that'll include some of the past few months during the krona virus as well and that'll give you ideas of what's growing popular and what's decreasing. You can do the same with Google trends as well. And when you do this you'll get feedback on what's growing on a day by day basis. Could Google trends can do hourly or daily weekly monthly? Whatever you want and then on Google trends you can also see what's trending on. What's hot right now? These will all give you ideas of the type of content. That's working the other thing that I want you to do is go into your Google analytics and look at. What's been the most popular over the last thirty days and compare that to the previous thirty days. That will also give you some ideas of what's working right now versus what was working before. Yeah and I think a couple other tools that you can use. You can definitely use twitter search feature. It's I often find. The trends are really helpful. I've actually been using twitter quite a bit more than the other social networks actually back. I should delete off my phone but I get a lot of my news from twitter and h refs is good because they have a content explorer section. And you can see kind of what's trending very similar to that but sumo actually keeps up with the trends is also combining these together. You're going to be able to you know be equipped to well be in the know in terms of other types of content great and Neil to my my first point. You actually did something on your blog. Posts around Corona virus correct. I do something around current a virus. This is when it happened really early to let people know not to freak out about the traffic and I broke down. What industries were decreasing in increasing in? How much buys Walsum conversion data? Funny enough it was probably one of my most popular posts in the last twelve months. Didn't have any intention of that. The Post in generate any revenue of course because there was nothing to really pitching there but more so to keep people at ease. Because they're like oh my traffic's diet. Google extra factors. 'cause it's something that most of us have never been through technically probably all of us haven't been through and yet it did really well but the problem with those data rich post is it's really hard to create them. Not everyone will another option for you. If you see other people creating these data rich posts you can use tools like Info Graham in Cambe and turn it into info-graphic cite them as your source put on your website. Head of all the people that linked to original source in Sheridan and ask them to share content linked to it. And you'll find that you'll do quite well doing that as well. Yeah I mean you know coming back to to earlier like don't talk about mindset that much but if you think about people psychology right now think about maslow's hierarchy people want to survive right now. That's the most important thing so you know when people are worrying about marketing. They're probably working in advertising or they rely a ton on advertising or Seo right so they wanNA bring about how the protect their business because that ties in with their livelihood and that ties in with their employees livelihood. Now you know for the survival blog that I have more. We're looking at the traffic when we look at some of the things that we have been creating content wise. It's basically what everyone's looking for. They want tactics on survival. They're looking for specific equipment. They want reviews as well so because of that not seeing anybody is trying to take advantage but knowing what people are looking for right now a creating it at the right time. That's all you thrive in terms of your content creation. And then during this time you don't want to write content too much in advance and schedule it out because things are changing so drastically you ought to be able to play by the day and what. I mean by. That is if you're one who likes planning that's fine but be willing to change around which content you publish each day depending on what you think may do well during that time and if you don't schedule too much in advance you know look a few days beforehand and right on what's working there has yes. There's still volatility but not as much as there was during the early days of the corona virus will. I don't know about you but I basically stopped posting as much to instagram. Because it's like you kind of have to be aware of the stuff that you're posting. Make sure it's not tone deaf so I don't know about you. Yeah being more careful on what I post because I don't want to be too aggressive not necessarily even The things that aren't related to corona virus. But still. I just want to be sensitive enough post anything that could potentially offend anyone even though it's about marketing or whatnot
The Marriage of Voice and Wearables with Dave Kemp of Future Ear
"I wrote a post two years ago about this called nurse Siri You could think of it. As health coach Siri or nutritionist theory. you know so. It's this idea where you're actually getting the voice assistant that provides you with actionable insight into that data because collecting all state is one thing but making sense of the data is sort of the the more important piece of this and. I think that that's where it gets really exciting. Is this idea that you know if it's nursery? What it could be doing is it's you know it's constantly monitoring this in. Its using that longitudinal data set to serve as a benchmark for you because it knows over the course of five years. This is what normal looks like. And when it detects abnormal in your heart rate in your blood pressure in your glucose and all of the different types of metrics that are slowly being able to be captured by these types of sensors Then you can start to get these. Really interesting actionable insights. Hey David your heart rate's been off for the past week. Let's get you into a doctor. You can imagine this being applied to your your diet to like you could have this Connected to the types of APPS that might be used to collect this In again using the voice assistant scenario where you could envision this idea where you're like okay so for breakfast a too hard boiled eggs for lunch a Turkey Sandwich And so you're you're actually using the voice assistant to log all of your nutritional information and so what's exciting to me about all this is it's a new type of data set that. I think it will be really interesting to see how this gets integrated into the broader. Like you know like electronic health record data set as well so that we just have a you know this i. I can just foresee the scenario where you go into the doctor and the doctor. You know you've already basically conveyed all this through voices which is probably communicating with doctors. Voices then so that he has this. He has this data set in front of him. He has like all of these actual things so that it's not just like me just sort of you know. Shoot from the HIP hop. I haven't really been feeling not good and it's you know he doesn't have a lot or she doesn't have a lot to work off of now. They have like this really coherent type of information sitting right in front of him. So that's the gist of what I talked about. In as I went through I talked about how this will. It really be impactful for the end user for caregivers for all different types of stakeholders in this whole thing. Amazing that it's such a great summary of what you talked about the idea of the wearables and then I I love that sort of leering. The voice on top of it as the new interfaces new operating systems and talking about it or that sort of thing and then becoming hands-free with all of this and Oh it's so good. So that's fantastic. That's chapter six in the book voice and wearables by David Camp Amazing I've say thank you to you for for the effort. The time that you put into writing that it's such a wonderful A part of the book and Really really important part so Yeah I just say publicly. Thank you for thank you for doing that. Yeah absolutely Terry. It was a really cool experience like I said You know it's one of these things where I think we're kind of at the leading edge of it. But what excites me? The most is that it's really a young technology voice. Technology is and I really am bullish on this idea. That wearables will though serve two main purposes Actually they're going to serve a lot of different purposes but in this context are gonna serve two main purposes. They're going to be the data collectors and I understand that there might be ethical questions that come from this. Privacy questions concerns So a lot of these things are going to have to be worked through. I'm not just trying to say this is going to happen and But I think they'll be data collectors and then I think that they'll be the home in which the voice assistant resides whether it be in our here on our wrist and I think that's a cool idea because again it's this idea of you know think we tend to or for some people they tend to think of. Alec says like this way to check the weather or You know way to play music but we know I think a lot of us in the voice industry know that there's such a bigger vision here it's truly like a new computing platform and so It these things really excited me and I think that they're going to really work in tandem well together so two areas that I would definitely recommend everybody to keep an eye on In terms of how they work together. That's amazing and that's a great segue so for people to keep an eye on what is happening in this field. What are some resources that you could suggest an? Of course I want you to highlight your own. Yeah no I would definitely say you know with my blog future. Ear Dot Co My podcast to a future ear radio. Podcast you know. I think there's I I try to bring on a wide variety of people that are at this intersection. You know whether it be audiologist or people in the voice side people on the wearable side So I've had a lot of experts on that I give away better understanding of the complexities here and I think. What's exciting is that a lot of people are coming at this from different directions. And they're bringing their own style of expertise to the table. And I just think that they're you know what's given me so much assurance that this is that there's really exciting things on the horizon Is How intelligent the people are that I've met in how well thought out this all is you can tell that there are people that. I've talked to on my podcast. That have been thinking about this for twenty years. And they've been at this for their whole career So definitely check out future ear and An all the different types of people that I brought
