The Most Conservative Congress in History? Rep. Troy Nehls Weighs In

"Now have Congress and Troy Nell's congressman, what are you hearing on the floor? Charlie, it's good to be with you right now. There are 7 individuals that have voted for an alternate candidate. Obviously, it was significantly more or less yesterday with 20. So now we're down to 7. So let's see what happens here at the end of this vote. Maybe it'll be 8, maybe it'll be 9. But we've been making progress. And I applaud both sides. I applaud those in the house freedom caucus that had been voting against McCarthy. I appreciate the leadership team sitting down with these individuals at a table, having a conversation, you know, breaking bread and trying to work out our differences. So if we're going to come to an agreement, let's get that agreement done. Let's get it done so we can work for the American people. So congressman, can you give our audience some peace of mind about what a conservative Congress can do if Kevin McCarthy ends up winning. Some of our audience, they are not convinced. They're not persuaded. They say, Kevin is awful. It's terrible. We don't want him. Some of our audience says that it's the same as having hakim Jeffries. I don't agree with that. I think that is, that's not correct. Can you walk us through, what can we expect, the oversight, the investigations, the checks and balances, the restoration of an actual functioning House of Representatives, make the case to ask the question? And I will say this as it relates to you use the word investigations. You know very well. It's been very clear that Jim Jordan, he wants to get to work and the judiciary and he wants to have a lot of investigations. We need to investigate Christopher wray with the FBI. Yes, we do. We need to investigate the DoJ with Garland. We need to look at major orcas with DOH. We need to have Fauci in front of us. We need to have all those individuals in front of us to ask the questions that have not been asked by this one party rule under Nancy Pelosi.

"Welcome to something rhymes with purple. Why? Why? Amazing. I'm jazz brandreth and with me is my friend, Susie dent, the world's leading Mexico, and we're speaking to this podcast is coming from the stage of the cadogan hall in London. Yes. Of Sloane square. Yes. It's a beautiful hall. Once upon a time, I think it was a Christian science church. Okay. Then it was acquired by Muhammad fired. Do you remember him? He wanted. He wanted to have it as a home. This room that we're in now, this huge all seating 600 people with galleries, wonderful hall. This was going to be his sitting room. I'm not joking. This room was to be a sitting room. But for those who can't see us, we are actually in a city of quasi sitting rooms that we're sitting in some lovely purple chairs with our purple cushions and our purple iPads and everything is purple, apart from Giles jumper, which is a snakes and ladders jumper, I think. It is. It's a reminder. If we needed it, that sometimes one goes up in life, and sometimes one comes down. Yes. And so that's why I'm wearing this. And we've got a lovely audience of purple people and some people who are new to the podcast. This, I think, is a 148 edition of something rides with purple. What do we want to discuss today? I want you to talk about. Well, it's been very easy to get down, hasn't it in the last few years. And to get sort of bogged down, I suppose in the language of despair because so many of us have been feeling that over the last couple of years. And actually, if you look in a dictionary, English reflects that a lot of the time. So dictionaries love to be negative, reflecting, of course, the fact that we love to be negative. So they are full of words that are quite bad and sad and dwell on the same side of life if you like. But today we're going to buck the trend and we're going to talk about words for happiness and positivity because we thought that was a good theme for the year to come. So we're going to accentuate the positive. We are. When you say that the language is negative, in terms of emotions, there are many more words you're telling me that describe the depressing, the doubt. Yes. And there are the described the positive and the up. Yes. And when you say that, how do you know that? Have you been through the dictionary counting? Or is this just anecdote? No, but you can just tell, you get to flavor every time you visit the dictionary. So I used to think it was just dialect dictionaries because I de genuinely spent quite a lot of my time just flicking through dictionaries. You know, I did on the podcast as well during time. I'm literally looking at my screen looking at virtual dictionaries. And if you look in a dialect dictionary regional language, you will see that we love to gosu the other people and we love to insult them. So go back 50 years and you will find hundreds of words for people who are bow legged bandy legged instead of have smelly armpits. I mean, we just, yes, this does not include you, jazz. I have never had the dedication to use it. But lots and lots and lots of different words for those. And I thought, okay, that makes sense because dialect is largely spoken and we are a gossipy by nature. But actually, look in the normal OED as well. And it's quite difficult to pull out the positive words. And when I do find one, I just leap on it and think, finally, you know, this is one that we can use. So as we will see, I mean, take a letter a, okay? So I've just taken a handful of words from the letter a, just to give you a flavor. So there's a panther pee. A panther piece. Yes, a panther P is the desire to be away from other people. Which I always think is quite useful at Christmas time. If you're feeling slightly up anthropic, it's just please leave me alone. That kind of sentiment. Then you've got a bond. Then you've got Abd apps in the screaming variety. Hold on, give me the origins of horrors. So just something. Yes, and the Herrera bit actually gave us horror and horrible, as well as horizons. Did you know what her appellation is? I'm taking, I've got some cream for it. Okay. Her rip relations, what is happening? Yes, we might have cream for it. When your hair stands on end. Oh. So, yeah, so her colleague is, you know, when you get those cartoon cats, the scaredy cats and their hairs just standing up in a kind of shock. That's exactly what her repulsion is. So that is what something abhorrent does. This is why people listen to something rhymes with purple. There is a word for the hair standing up on the back of the cat, and it's her revelation. Her replace. When you see that. Like that. Oh, look at that Herbert. Yes, and that's amazing. What gave us horror, as I say, abhorrent, anything that just makes you stand back in horror. Then there's all over it if you're feeling a bit all over it. That is probably the 18th century equivalent of meh as well as probably one of my favorite all over it. Is that old? And that means oh, how are you feeling all over it? Just a bit. This mayor that you use, that's MEH, is it? No. What is it? What is the origin of it? Well, it's just, if you were to express it in emoji terms, it would just be a sort of straight face. Has anyone seen the emoji movie? Okay. Various it's not the best to be fair. But there is a lovely emoji who is met and wants to be anything but. So it's just kind of, well, you know. How recent has met. Very. So I think if not this century then very late 20th century. Quite a few words come from The Simpsons, the television series. DOH stick with the a's. So we have exceed who? They exceed it is it goes back to the Greek for without and then care without care or concern. So that means it's not really so much carelessness in the sense of you are not taking consideration of other people's feelings. But it just means totally kind of apathy and unwillingness to do anything. And that of course was seen as being quite sinful because you were doing absolutely nothing for yourself or for society. And there was one aesthetic. You know, the people who just lived very kind of paired down lives acetic acid. I would say aesthetic aesthetic aesthetic. Is that ASC? I should know this. That's been a good thing. Yeah, ACE TIC isn't just the AFC. I see. And this was one who lived in the Egyptian.

"Fun and just as much sex and just as many relationships and just as much love in our life as everyone else and arguably as a lot of close friends have told me like more so. Was this something that you realize about yourself and your own experience and that like 96 gathering when you start to meet other intersex people or was it before that? It was before and after. And it's weird to talk about this because it sounds braggy and I hate to do that. But it's an important part of the message. Please brag. Yeah. Thank you, okay. So when I came out in college and even before that, like the first guy I slept with in high school because I wanted to see what sex was like and literally no one was at his queer. So I had no options to sleep with a woman or a girl, right? We were girls. The first guys had sex with propose marriage. So that was positive. Then later I go to college and finally I'm able to start sleeping with women and I have like every girlfriend I want. And more, right? And it's just like a theme throughout my life to where I've had several male friends. I've had like several of them approached me like God, I think it is because you're intersex, right? Like what is the mojo? I mean, is it as simple as you are intersex and you love that about yourself and that confidence is sexy? I'm gonna go with that 'cause other people I've seen that have that. It's true. And I think it's for everyone, right? If you love who you are, and I think of a lot of gay men that I love who were like my role models as an activist as a marginalized person, they love who they were. They're like, you know what? Fuck you all. We're fabulous, like, right? So it is sexy. And especially now that so many intersex youth are embracing their androgyny and they're coming out as non binary and that's how they feel like this is really the nug of it, right? We need to create a sexy space. We're sexy. In just to have that official third gender and sex option on official government forms like a passport, you know, that legal recognition. It's hard to overstate how significant that is. It's massive except it shouldn't be, right? It's massive because it took so long. There was so much resistance. But it's actually just reality. Ancient cultures, like all other cultures, until we reach the age of colonization. Every society recognized us, like we've always been here. You know, there are creation myths that feature intersex. People play doh wrote about intersex people. And like three 70 BCE, we've always been here and yet it's amazing that it was so hard to get the U.S. government to admit it. Is there any worry or fear that a new administration can undo that? No. None of.

What Does It Mean to Live a Good Life in Private and Public?

"So Jack in today's time, all the chaos around you all the darkness. What does it mean to live a good life in private life not just in public life? Well, so, you know, I kind of go back, I really am a big fan. I don't know if I'd consider myself a Thomas at this point, but Thomas Aquinas, yeah, I'm a big Aquinas fan. If you read it, what he's doing was he was trying to basically take the principles of Christianity and then combine them with like play doh and Aristotle. So take the take those values and put them all together with the teachings of Christ. And so of course, played on Aristotle, they talk about talent. They talk about potentiality. They talk about actualization and what Aquinas did was he said, God gives you just as I was saying in the last bit, he gives you those talents. He gives you your potentiality, of course, that comes from God that's part of your creation. So, you know, the fully actualized Jacob so big and the fully actualized Charlie Kirk are going to be different things. Just the same way, you know, and this even gets into politics. You talk about the rights of the individual, right to the collective. And the idea that you can't have equality because everyone is different because everyone is going to have different unique talents. But the idea, though, is that your life is a journey of being able to realize your full potentiality for good and that in achieving so along the proper path actually brings you closer to God. And this is where some of the logo could go. And so this is where myself, you know, becoming a father over the past couple of years has really kind of changed my perspective on so many of these things. And it also gives you skin of the game. You become the head of a household now. You have these children and you have to raise them. And so it makes you want to go back to your own teaching to your own traditions to your own religion and say, do I understand this stuff? Do I really feel that I'm properly trained and able to actually pass this on am I doing the right

"Are paying one hundred thousand dollars to travel into space The whole ozone layer this whole back in the eighties. Right remember that well. They decided to ban cfc with the idea of protecting the ozone layer. Because guess what if we don't have the ozone layer basically We all just get caught on fire. The whole planet just burns okay. We all get radiation. It's a mess. It's not a good thing There's not a good scenario without an ozone layer so they actually did some stuff here and said. Hey let's try to stop this so banning the cfc's it looks like it's actually working yet. We finally have some good news on the whole climate change frontier because not only is it helping to make the ozone hole smaller but it is also shaving. A few degrees off of global warming so good job eighties us. We did great on this. I actually i just did. A couple of episodes three episodes to be exact on climate change global warming. The first one was about the financial impact of climate change. And then i did something on the wildfires smoke and then the water so check those out. It's over on learning more. There's a link in the podcast description. Here it's episode number sixteen seventeen and eighteen of learning more. Please do go check that out if you get a chance. It is also national working parents day today now both parents working how many of us are dealing with that about forty. Six percent of households are dealing with with the mother and father working and that is for the households with a mother and father. That's how they did the research and now at least one parent being employed. Well that's eighty eight percent of families with children. Now that's actually down from ninety one percent the previous year and i guess there's covert to blame for that and so here's the thing. A lot of us are working from home. Now right and national working parents day we got to think about working from home and being a parent and that can be a little tough right well. Because you know you're bringing your work home with you literally. You're not leaving your office ever. You could literally never stop working. But let's think of some of the advantages here. Well you know this means that maybe there's time for making dinner. Maybe there's time for taking a break in the middle of the day and go throwing a ball with your kid or just picking him up dropping him off from school. Whatever it is work life balance is very important. Make sure you shut off that computer to certain time in walkaway from those devices so that you do get that time with your kids for especially for today from national working parents. Day is also national. Step family day to day and looking at that. Same data from the previous story there well over thirty percent of the population under eighteen. Live in a stepfamily. So here's a day for you. And of course i had mentioned the brady bunch i mean. Come on the most famous stepfamily of all. It is also national. Plato day today. And as i mentioned in the open there i love the smell. I don't know why maybe it just takes me back. To childhood thing was though plato. Originally it wasn't meant to be a toy. it was actually meant to be a wallpaper cleaner seventies. is that right. Yeah joe mcvicker Made this stuff. It was a simple mixture was basically water flour and salt. Those are the main ingredients of and may turn it into a toy. They made red blue yellow and white. And as we're the only brands now of course there's about fifty different colors available. Of course if you make something then it all just turns into that weird gray color it is also national cinnamon raisin bread day today per slice yet about one hundred calories in this thing which since. We did the story on the boston cream doughnut. I believe that was three hundred calories. So you can have three slices of cinnamon raisin bread or one of those boston cream donuts from dunkin. Choose whatever you want. I won't judge. It is national guacamole day today as well and this one. I'm going to judge on. 'cause i love me some guacamole and if you don't make a right not going to be happy. So what do you do. I'll tell you some ways to make it but first let's talk about. The origins of this comes from central mexico. Where avocados just grow naturally right there. There and aztecs were there so they started kind of making guacamole and guess what they didn't call the avocado and avocado originally. It was called an alligator pear. I think that's actually united states. That gave it that horrible name but eventually it would become avocado. I can't imagine eating alligator pear toast at just doesn't work anyway. So here's what you do for guacamole. First of all you can either. You got an option here. If you like chunky then you're gonna use one of those Like potato masters. If you don't like it chunky like it more creamy than us a couple of folks. I squish it down with a couple of folks i and you know all you have to do really is add some garlic and some salt and some lime and you are good that is all you need typically for guacamole but you can also add some of the same ingredients that you would add until like salsa fresco. You know tomatoes and some sort of chili type of things onions. You can do that. But i like it just like you know. I like to taste the avocado. So only putting all that other stuff in there. We'll garlic little salt little lime. That's all you need by the way the largest serving of walk molly ever well. That was eight thousand. Three hundred and fifty one pounds and that was achieved in mexico for the avocado festival in twenty eighteen year. Wonder how much to charge for that charge. Like five dollars for a spoonful anyway. Let's take a look. At our historical events. Starting sixteen twenty. The pilgrims set sail on the mayflower from england. Yeah okay not exactly the best time to sail across the ocean especially back then right now. They were originally said to leave at the start of summer but there were delays in getting supplies so it didn't quite work out for them so there you go. They left on this day. They spent sixty six days at sea only to arrive in an unfamiliar place in the of winter because it was winter you know they can really set up camp properly and only fifty of the one hundred and two. Pilgrim's survived through that very difficult winter. Now here's the thing. French and dutch colonies were already fishing and gathering along the east coast of the. What would be later called the united states. By the time the mayflower arrived and the spanish will they had already settled. Florida like decades early. So when we learn so much in history about the pilgrims why is that well it could be because maybe the you know the brits want or so those who win gets tell the story but it also could be that william bradford one of the pilgrims aboard the mayflower kept a journal and he kept his journal for nearly three decades and those injuries within the journal contained much of the history of that time. Okay we had so many days to talk about so much information to go through just about guacamole really couldn't cover all of the events so let's tell you some of the other ones real quick here. One thousand nine hundred general motors corporation was in one thousand nine hundred sixty eight richard. Nixon appeared on. Laugh in in nineteen eighty-four miami vice premiered and in one thousand nine hundred ninety four. There was a fire in the lighthouse. Smokey electrical fire not too much damage. But let's take a look at some of our birthdays for today. James cash any was born on this day in eighteen. Seventy five lauren. Bacall was born on this day in nineteen twenty four. Mickey rourke was born on this day in nineteen fifty two molly shannon jones fifty seven mark. Anthony is fifty three. Eighty polar is fifty alexis. Bledel is forty nick. Jonas is twenty nine. Boutique coffee without all the hype. If you're a fan of tropical fruits, then you'll know that their origins lie in faraway lands, which is why it may surprise you to learn that pawpaw originated here in the United States. This fruit is often confused with papaya, though their color taste and texture are quite different. The pawpaw has been called a Kentucky banana or hillbilly mango, which gives you a hint at its tropical flavor. It was reportedly a favorite of George Washington and part of the Monticello garden cultivated by Jefferson himself. During the core of discovery, Lewis and Clark wrote in their journals that they were quite fun of the pawpaw. On national papa day, celebrate a tropical fruit with all American roots. Fun is in the eye of the beholder. Take wallpaper cleaner, for example, when Joel mcvicar first invented his clay, it was useful for picking up soot. But when the fuel in our furnaces changed from coal to oil, wallpaper cleaner was no longer needed. That's when Joe saw a new life for his compound and in the hands of some preschoolers in idea took shape, the toy showed promise when he renamed it Plato and added some color, but it took a certain captain to move it up the ranks. When Captain Kangaroo featured Plato on his new CBS show, the clay became a household name. Inducted into the toy Hall of Fame in 1988, it's hard to imagine a world without this creative invention. "Second wildcard is really truly the only goal there for the ace for the la angels. Twelve games out right at five hundred coming down the stretch here. Just watch so hey otani have him dominate win. The mvp go into the off season. Mike trout get him healthy. Maybe back into some game action here by the end of the year. You're not going to rush him back but get him some action get him filtered back in get him right for twenty twenty two. But it's all about shohei. I'm in get him to fifty home. Run scared him. Do one hundred. Rbi scare them to ten wins. Keep many are under three. The guy's going to win the mvp and angels the organization. They're going to be able to market that. In the off season they're going to be able to sell a ton of merchandise market him as the best player on the planet market him as the unicorn that he is so keep shohei healthy. Get him to fifty bombs and kind of grow from there in the off season and then get some get some pitchers. I get some starting pitching to help them out there out west and then the last team in the american league the texas rangers. I'd i don't know what to say about texas i mean. Aj alexey he's been fantastic. Is rookie was excellent. That's what you got to see if your texas here see more the kids it's september let the aaa guys play. Doh luis garcia. Looks like somebody. Who's gonna stick around in the lineup for quite some time here. Aj alexey again. He was good so can anybody else play. That's really what we should be looking at here is can anybody join. Aj alexi alexey. However the heck you pronounce it and ultimately looking like a mainstay for twenty twenty two because it does look like a long rebuild their in texas but ultimately you got to find some guys who are going to stick around for next year..

"Interview with marie. Colette and of course you want to go back. You can always search out all ball and kind of go back to your to. You can hear part one point. One is a little bit more about his playing days in high school and college. What led him to ohio state. Not saying it's not interesting. But now we're now we're getting into the meat reading a rabbi. Right you know that the the tenderloin counterpart the rabbi or bite into your this. This system really good stuff. Poor get to that. I do want to hug low basketball with you because team. Usa won a gold medal. Which i think is monumental achievement. And i know what happens is There are some guys that i do feel like when over the top. And so we have no chance. And you could label them haters. If you want those guys. I think kevin durant is probably talking about with draymond green when i throw out the cautiously pessimistic. This shit does not look good. I'm also reasonable to understand that things can change. And the addition of criminals and devon booker introduce holiday There's a lot of things that help them evolve as a team but let's be honest. Those three especially booker and holiday. They really changed this team for the better and when they lost france. Those guys just gotten off the plane right. So let's let's let's go through it one thing that has not been mentioned. And you're gonna hear mentioned right now and all. You're you're listening to this. Most of your basketball people is the one of the best part about the smartest thing they did is. They really had ten gots kelly. Johnston didn't play doh magadan play. So why is that. Look you bring twelve. Nba guys are all stars. They wanna fuck play and it's really really hard to match any program you know. The magic number is eight eight the magic number. Because you games are much shorter and it's much harder to get everybody and etcetera etcetera etcetera. So eight is really good. Because now you feel like your backup big backup guard backup wing you can rotate through guys and you can get everybody in and then you know. He played a win in the second half. He played win the second half when she gets it like ten guys. It's hard now in a remember. It's forty minute game. Not a forty eight minute game. It's hard to get people minutes. So i do think that selecting mcgee who was just their gills an enjoyable personality and always a goofball but he also can block some shots the idea of me..

"Fucking moment. Thank you thank you for sharing that man. Oh it's amazing. i think so. Few people are lucky enough to have shit. They jerk off to. That doesn't make them feel guilt or shame. There's a great book about that. Very subject called the erotic mind by guy named jack. Marin and i i recommend recommend it becky asks what's something you'd like to say on the podcast but the opportunity or the right time hasn't come up yet. That's a great question. I honestly can't think of anything. If anything. I sometimes feel like i make this podcast too much about me and i talked too much about shit and and i'm being you know drama queen or all the other shit the mean voices in my head say to me stymied asks what is your litmus test for going off a drug because it's just not doing the trick anymore. I'm still wavering. Thing he could be a lot worse. At least i'm not weeping uncontrollably your suicidal but my creativity i'm an artist is at a standstill. Unlike i said my enjoyment of life is usually in the dumper. Thanks paul for all the times you podcast is made all the difference for me. Well thank you for your your nice words. That means a lot to me and this question is the reason i started this podcast in late twenty ten. I had gone off. My meds and i was suicidal and i didn't know that it was because i went off my meds because the first five months of being off them i felt great so when creep back in i thought my life really did suck and i really did need to kill myself and one day. It occurred to me. Oh my god. This is the depression back on my meds and within three days i felt better and i thought there needs to be a discussion about this and I up podcast would be a great medium to do this. And i didn't know if anybody was gonna listen if anybody was going to get anything out of it and You know here. I am ten eleven years later and if i had an answer to that question it would be It's complicated. I don't always know the answer to it but one of the things i ask myself is where is is my enjoyment of the things. I normally enjoy in life Because you know the drought of going to the bank or doing the laundry that stuff can be there. Even when i'm healthy but Difficulty leaving the house and not taking enjoyment and things like woodworking or guitar. are usually assigned. That's that something going something is going on and doing things compulsively you know especially video games and sometimes pornography as much as i hate to admit that And i will tend to pull away and not open up to people and just say oh. I'm doing fine So i hope that helps that answer. This is from the shame in secret. Survey filled out by taylor. H and shagged. Nf is his straight Doesn't say how how old she is. she was raised in a slightly dysfunctional environment Ever been the victim of sexual abuse. Some stuff happened. But i don't know if it counts. I would say it absolutely counts. When i was seven. My sister who was twelve at the time did some really disturbing things to me. It started with her just wanting to look at my body. She wanted me to touch myself but for a while she never touched me. Then i guess she got more confident and started to touch me. It kept getting worse. One of the worst moments was when she used might play. doh dented. Dentist kit tool that was shaped like a drill slash driver on me. She did this often. I was terrified of her. And i would call my mom. My mom's work phone crying and screaming that she was hurting me but my mom would always hang up on the because she thought we were just normal siblings fighting and is so fucking awful. The sexual stuff lasted over a year. I've never known what to label what happened to me. Was it sexual abuse. was it. just kids experimenting. No this to me was not kids experimenting. You know the very first part you know. Wanting to look at each other's bodies you know. I think that could be childhood experimentation. But when it crosses into touching each other's in a in a sexual way then it gets into an area that Is really complicated when it gets into putting objects into an unwilling participant. That is absolutely abuse You right she was only twelve or thirteen. Is she. innocent in this. You know somebody can be innocent in terms of. They were a child but it doesn't diminish the pain and trauma that it caused. You know whether or not somebody would be found guilty in a court of law is irrelevant in the validity of the trauma that you experienced and the need for you to take care of yourself as an adult and to tell yourself that you are worthy of healing. She's been physically abused and emotionally abused. My sister would hit me. Kick me pull my hair. The bruises would stay for days when she wanted things from me. She would manipulate me and blackmail me. She constantly insulted me calling me fat and telling me that if people really knew me they would hate me for it was. She projecting her own stuff onto you eventually. It all got me in a few years later. Hello eating disorders. Any positive. experiences with the abuser. My abuser was my sister who was older than me by five years. I remember times when she was nice. She would play with my friends and i. She acted nice but since the abused i started. I don't think there have been any positive experiences. I hate her with all of my being. I don't think in a positive way darkest thoughts the most shameful thing i think about when thinking of what i went through is my part and what happened. I was so young. I don't remember the exact order of what happened. I don't remember how exactly it started. My sister would constantly tell me. It was my fault that i was disgusting and that was her projecting all her stuff on you. There is a power dynamic. That is in unbalanced with a sibling. That much older than you. You know you can even be the same age or or younger. Sibling can oftentimes even be The abuser it's it's i don't remember how exactly a i read that. The other thing i have thought about if my sister disappeared one day i truly wouldn't care i'd be happy. Probably i don't think i would feel bad if she died. Darkest secrets the details of the things that went on between sister. And i like the play. Doh tool are my deepest secrets. I can't imagine actually saying the words of what happened. Allowed and you know what you have to go right to that we can start off by just sharing with someone who safe you know. I went through shit my childhood. That really fucked me up. And i think it's still fucking me up and i'm not ready to talk about it right now but i need a hug. Can you come over and watching movie with me. So much of recovery is baby steps. Sexual fantasies most powerful to you. I have a lot of very dark. sexual fantasies. were the victim of nonconsensual. Sex a feel disgusted with myself for thinking that way especially after what happened to me. It's it's so common it is so common and do not blame yourself. You know like i said earlier. Our sexual blueprint is handed to us. We do not get to choose what turns us on. What if anything would you like to say to someone you haven't been able to. I'd like to talk to another girl who was touched by my sister. I haven't talked to her about it. Because i don't want her to turn around and blame it all on me did some very shameful things during that time and i don't want her to blame me the same time. I would like to talk to her and see what she remembers. I'm just scared of what she might remember. That i don't. This would be great stuff to run by a therapist who specializes in sexual trauma and childhood sexual abuse. What if anything you wish for. I wish more than anything. My sister faced consequences for what she did. You know your sister may never face consequences for what she did but you do have the power to take care of yourself and to give weight to what happened to you and to feel loved and seen and supported because there are people out there we may not find them immediately but we work with keep searching we will find our family our family of choice not our family of origin. Have you shared these things with others. A few months ago. I told my parents at first. They were worried. I.

But let's continue this podcast so you may be wondering what is plato. Plato was a type of clay that you can usually play with. And it comes into a little container and it's pretty soft. It's like regular klay except a little bit softer and it's made from different. That's made pretty similarly took just different materials now. Plano calms many different colors. Manning different sets you can even rebuild ice cream fit and you can build lots of different types of things with it One of my favorites is that little kitchen. Air said where you can make plato food now. Probably good recommendation for age is probably really any age. As long as your child does not put stuff in its mouth yet. Probably not end up well because you are not able to eat plato. Because it would be really bad for your body so if your child's still does put stuff in it's mouth. Esteem faint like toys and things and its mouth is probably not a good idea to offer them play out yet but when they stopped putting things in their mouths then maybe you will. That's my opinion. Even though i don't play plato. Too much i still really like the touch and the smell. The smell i mean. Plato doesn't really smell to too nice. But i still smell it sometimes but the first time i smell it smell i dunno like oil ish. I know i can exactly like tell much about the scent but it didn't really the best anyways you can always buy your plato online or the store next to you. You can really by plano anywhere anytime and it's getting it's not like clay but it is very similar. It's quite. It's just for kids. And i think this would be really good for kids. Who like like to build stuff like Just thinking of making things out of materials. I think that would be perfect for those kids who love doing that. But yeah so. Plato is really it comes in little containers and and there's also different sets do kitchen food type of play though sets or just regular plano and containers and you can buy anywhere anytime online and near a store near you and really. It's recommended for any age unless your child puts thinks that it's not. There's probably not a good idea to get them. Plato then you would probably have to teach them not to eat plato. Because eating plato would probably not be too good. But yeah you guys. I hope you enjoy this very short. Podcast about plato and again. I'm really sorry that i haven't been making podcasts. DoH coming to Chrome for Android

"Does not going to be able to type it in. DO H. is coming to chrome for. android. Although the desktop releases of chrome? have offered the enhanced security and privacy that many of us love offered by DNS over https. which appeared in chrome three two. Major versions ago? It wasn't added to the IOS or Android wins back then but last Wednesday's chromium blog was titled a safer and more private browsing experience on Android with secure DNS. And I think I would argue that that's a good place to have D- DNS over https. Paraphrasing from Google posting for the sake of Brevity, and to skip a bunch of stuff that we all already know they said. With, Chrome eighty-five. We're extending support of secure DNS in chrome to Android as we did for the launch of D. O. H. on chrome for desktop platforms will progressively roll out do H. on chrome for Android to ensure the feature stability and performance as well as an I think this was significant to help do H. providers scale their services accordingly. As we've talked about the fact that that arguably. Setting up. Persistent. https connections to DNS servers is a significantly more burdensome process for the server than just fielding UDP packets DNS you know traditionally over UDP is incomes a packet and A reply. https involves the whole T. L. S. handshake to set it up, and then you're maintaining persistent session and I don't want to have to do that every time you make a DNS query or a be way slower and nobody wants a performance hit when you get authentication and privacy. But still you're you have to maintain state over at the server end in order to offer this service and that can require the PRI- The providers to scale in order to make that happen. So presumably, there are gonNA be keeping an eye on how well this does and in fact, they talk about that a little bit about the possible need to fall back they they said. android chrome will automatically switch to DNS over https if your current DNS provider is known to support it. And I just hit the space bar by mistake of scrolled. This also applies to your current android private. DNS. That's DNS over. If you have configured one, they said this approach means that we can preserve any extra services provided by your configured DNS service provider such as family safe filtering, and therefore avoid breaking the users expectations making it transparent. They said in this automatic mode chrome will also fall back to the regular DNS service of the users current provider. For example, if you had configured DNS over T. L. S.. In order to avoid any disruption while periodically re trying to secure DNS communication. So presumably, as I said if the provider were become overloaded or stop offering the services for a while, it'll just smoothly drop back to traditional DNS. They said in case this default behaviour isn't suitable to your needs. Chrome also provides manual configuration options allowing you to use a specific provider without. As. Well as the ability to completely disabled feature. They said if you're an IT administrator, chrome will disable secure DNS. If it detects a managed environment via the presence of one or more enterprise policies, we've also added new DNS over https enterprise policies to allow for a managed configuration of security and s and encourage it administrators to look into deploying DNS over https for their users. So anyway, basically, it's what we've what we've seen before. By. well by by chrome and pretty much now, all of the browsers who who are wanting to move their clients and and users from DNS over UDP traditional DNS over to https. So it's just gonNA happen seamlessly chrome will start supporting it if they see that you're using and it comes with a list of known providers. If they see that you've already switched your DNS there than they, they will just upgrade you to. To that provider if that provider is known to offer the service and because it'll be an automatic grade if there's a problem, they'll back you out of it and then in addition once that's provided under chrome for Android, you can also switch it to. Sort of a non automatic mode, provide the IP address and other URL requirements for http or for for D dns over https and start using it so again. To be I think that makes a lot of sense especially when at a mobile devices out roaming around more you're away from home where you're dns has only going essentially never even going. Public at all, it's just to to your own local provider in order to get resolution. So. Good to see this happening, and of course, we've talked about how this is also being rolled out for windows

Washington, DC - Fairfax Co. student leader asks fellow students to share concerns

"School lots of questions as you might imagine, right now about what the upcoming school year will look like this fall at a student leader in Fairfax County, wants his fellow students to share their quest two days after the Fairfax County School board said the new school year would most likely begin 100%. Virtually Nathan Ana Budo, the student representative on the board, shared his concerns about potentially having to spend more than 10 hours a day working solely on his laptop. Oh, that's a play Doh. I even have the willpower to accomplish that. He called on his fellow students to e mail him and tell him about their concerns and expectations. If you have a question, I'm here to try to work to get an answer for it on a Bhutto said he's been receiving a lot of questions from parents and teachers, but not so much from students. I want to be a better advocate for them, Nick finally. W T O P News

Aromatic Dressing Featuring Paige Sorenson

"Today we're excited to sit down with page Sorenson as she talks to us about the process and benefits of aromatic dressing page. Thank you so much for coming in and talking with us today. We're so so happy to have you so happy to be here so this is a topic that I think a lot of people may be a little no more unfamiliar with. So how would you describe. Aromatic dressing Oh. I'm so excited to share its superfund aromatic. Dressy while I have to say I didn't come up with this I didn't design it. I learned it from a woman. Name of Vanessa Ovens. She's actually a top leader Indo Tara in Australia and I saw her speaking one day on stage and I just got chills all over my body because I knew what she was saying. Just lined up perfectly with me and my message and my life and my career and so so really just over all aromatic dressing is a a quick practice that you would do in the morning or or in the evening whenever you jump out of the shower and I think it's bigger than the oils and the actions however the oils are so important in this. Yes and and then you just take it like one body part at a time and I always start from so okay. Let me back up. So you'RE GONNA make a small mixture Mr so When you jump out I usually do fractionally coconut oil and I do some oil some of my favorite oils and just a couple of drops here and there? So you've got this fun. John Little Mixture to rub rub all of your body and I usually start with my legs and I moved my way upward and but the secret about it is. You're saying positive gophers to yourself. Okay how loud. And so I feel like aromatic. Dressing is super powerful. It has a lot of ways to involve golf healing in your life and acceptance radical acceptance and infusing love and goodness and all of that is just wrapped up with awesome oils. And so I just love it. I've been doing it for a while and I teach it all the time and I think it has some power. So did that even answer your question that you asked me. What was the question? How would you describe? Yeah yeah so it's very it's the funny thing is is when I teach people when I teach the crowd sometimes I can just see body language. It's awkward it's uncomfortable. You know a lot of times. People need to hear that they are. They allowed not even talk nice to themselves like that. Random new concept for people I know within the culture. Everyone's a little bit more progressive in that area. We're very you know into self care and self love but overall it's really fun to watch people experience it and then move into like a comfort level level where they're like. Oh my gosh this can really helped me. And so that's fun to watch the transformation with people so I love that and I love the fact that you brought up that some people are very very uncomfortable with saying Nice things to their body and this aromatic dressing making that space for people to give a little bit of love and honor to their body is such a beautiful thing. Yeah yeah absolutely. So how long have you been teaching and practicing aromatic dressing. So I think I learned about five years ago maybe four. I'm so bad with the numbers but I'm GonNa go oh with five and implemented it immediately and once I did it after a while I just knew it was just using from me I needed to. I share it with everyone around me and so like I said before. I've taught a lot of people to do it. Probably a lot of women respond to it really well all because they forget like I just feel like a lot of women get stuck in the Rut of taking care of everyone around them they forget to take care of themselves and so oh I feel like this is such a really good daily practice that takes less than two minutes and has a positive effect on the rest of your day and that is great. And it's so quick and so easy another aspect where you have used this aromatic dressing is in your work as a fashion stylist and now the fashion world definitely has a bad reputation for you know. Low body image and difficulty with positive body image. So how has air matic dressing and how essential oils helped you promote that positive body image in this kind of toxic environment. Great Question Love It. Yeah I get a lot of questions like fashion styling and oils. I don't really. I understand how they crossover. That's kind of the beauty of Dough Tara. In general I feel like Doh Tara can and essential oils. General can just work their way into so so many interesting avenues in life and so when oils and fashion crossover for me it was just. It was magic. It was magic for my life so my basic fashion philosophy or my foundation is identifying who you are on the inside and then expressing it on the outside side. Okay so just a quick background on me. When I was little I I knew I had talent in fashion and I just I I knew like I think it was eighty nine. I knew I had something where I could express myself through clothing and it worked really well and I started ready to rely on that probably just as much as verbal expression while so I've always really relied on my clothing and sharing who I am and showing up and making connections based on what I'm wearing so whenever I enter room I always think to myself. What can I say or how can influence this room before four? I opened my mouth. So that's kind of my foundation is if you can identify who you are. Then you have an easier time expressing who you are on the outside so with that ad in oils and mental health and really being preventative with with you know putting bad things into your body or trying to just have a healthy lifestyle overall oils play into this and so many areas. I mean I've have done things where I do a lot of really fun campaigns on social media but Fun things like right now. I'm wearing a bright yellow shirt so I would post my outfit and be like what oil would would you pay with this one royal matches this what oil you connect with if you look at my outfit or you know just somehow connect that together and then with my profession nightdress a lot of public speakers and right now I'm actually addressing a lot of authors so people who are using their words and putting it down on paper and having having an influence and effect on you know their fan base or who. They're speaking to and so lots of times before we go out on stage so all dress and style all them for their for their event and I always take into consideration. Who are they? What's their identity? What's their message? How can align the clothing to elevate their influence and so with that I utilize oils as well so before any of my clients? Go out on stage. I'll be like do. We need to get some balance on you. Or let's get some peppermint or past tents on you. I always recommend past tense and balanced together. If you are public speaking it just does beautiful thing. So I- infused oils oils in every angle of my life. I use them daily. I share them daily and I love allowing people around me to experience them even if it's their first time like most people. I'm I always offer lemon. Do you have the senior water you know. Because it's like so wonderful to drink addicted so I try and I mean I'm not not trying very hard. It just naturally comes to my life where do oils fit in. How can I elevate this human and help them express who they are
