Why Football Fans Don't See Many Night Games in Lubbock

"Lubbock seems to be on the up and up. It just seems to get better every year. It just seems to one of those cities that just keeps going, rise, climb, climb, climb, climb. Yeah, I know when Texas came to town this year, it was a hell of a deal out there. Love it. And I love this rally, but it doesn't seem to have any night games. I love it. It seemed to have a lot of love. That's more, yeah, that's performance based, really. I mean, there are night tomorrow, Pat Mahomes is going into the Hall of Fame tomorrow night, so that'll probably be a rowdy one, but. Lubbock's got over 300,000 people, but the best probably tell you it's the college towns, like Baton Rouge is a huge city, but it's a freaking college town, right? Like Lubbock getting big, but it's a college town. Those are the ones where people like shut it, shut it all down. Like Fort Worth, no matter what, it'll look like TCU is, you know, that's obviously four words. DFW's big 12 school, but then you have SME all this other crap, but dude, most of the alums from other schools are all tech, Texas a and M, university, I mean, all over the goddamn place just because it's too big. So, I mean, TCU actually like they actually have a hard time selling out night games compared to early ones sometimes. I know that sounds insane. But it's because of the people that are there.

85% of COVID Deaths Could Have Been Avoided, Says Dr. Peter McCullough

"Peter McCullough with Joe Rogan saying that 85% of deaths attributed to COVID-19 could have been prevented with early treatment. Play cut 38. I testified in the U.S. Senate, November 19th, 2020, I told Americans under oath, that 50% of the lives at that time could have been saved. We are at about 250,000 deaths. Based on what I do, I then testified on March 10th, 2021 in the Texas Senate. Sworn testimony, I upped 85% of the deaths could have been avoided. We know that, because we carried out studies we did one with Procter and douse Fort Worth, where we demonstrated that even the early primordial protocols before the monolith coronal antibodies when we used drugs in combination, were associated with 85% reductions in hospitalizations and deaths compared to fair compared to our groups in for death we used the trichina area in DFW averages age adjusted. How often do you hear that on your mainstream news? 85% reduction in deaths, hospitalizations, and what he's saying is exactly what we've been saying. 71% of Americans Think the Country Is Heading in the Wrong Direction

"The American people are not just sitting by and taking this. You know, I tell this story, there's anecdotal story. They don't even have enough people at a Wendy's. To serve a burger. They don't have enough staff. They can't there's not enough people. People are not working. American Airlines, what was it 2000 flights canceled over the weekend? Were you stranded? Blaming wind. DFW nice try. People aren't working. People are not working, call your credit card company, you'll be on hold for four hours. They don't enough people. 71% of Americans believe the country is headed in the wrong direction. Americans are standing up. Americans are rejecting the failed policies of the left, let's go Brandon sort of reflects that. We started the hour talking about that chant, it's being heard at college football games all over America. Happened at the World Series? President Trump, Melania going to the game? People chanting, let's go Brandon. He smiled.

"Seven beautiful DFW locations or you can do it 100% over the phone soda and the Dallas Cowboys are say it with me now State of the art l I f news and information still at 5 70 am and also at 96 point. Three, HD two. This is the real money pros. We are back into real money post. You can visit us online at the real many pros dot com. By the way, the week the action. I mean, we saw the markets go down just a little bit. It's negligible. By the way, When you look at the Dow 34,584. That's where it closed on Friday. It was only down 22 points, so we're not going to really call this week last week. We're only talking about 22 points of 34,000. You're talking about less than half of 1%. I mean right around. It's about a third of two thirds of 1% so not much at all. The S and P 500 steady as well. When we look at the markets were comparing those two what we know and then when we are looking at insurance, we're trying to figure out what we don't know. And, uh, that's that's why it needs to be done by making an assessment based on need. Yeah, it's got to be based on need. It's not what you want. I mean, nobody wants to die and see or see. Somebody die and then get a bunch of life insurance from it. And well, maybe you do, And then you've got it some other psychological problems, but, uh, 8777473221 or relational issues and you probably should get some help before that happens, But, um Insurance needs to be intentional, and we see people who have guilt over these inheritance, especially insurance inheritance, and they won't spend it. That's right. We've seen so many cases where people say, like 80,000 bucks for Mom and dad, That's all they had. They died or whatever in the or they'll say it's invested in X Y Z Stark and and we'll look at it saying, Yeah, that was great for Dad. But that doesn't fit you. You're not going to use the money for 30 years? Well, my dad bought it. I gotta keep it. Well, Yeah, Your dad gave it to you as a gift, right? You don't go taking gifts back, and you don't put requirements on a gift. It's not a gift. It's not a gift. No, it's just then In that case, it's a tether. Yeah. 8777473221. I want to finish up this Medicaid medical Medicare, Social Security, food, rent assistance. All this other stuff. It's all intended for a certain target to include mutual funds, Stocks, bonds any of this stuff, there's a certain market where it's appropriate. Yeah, well, then there's a market where it's not appropriate and it just some things. They either don't work there. And so they don't happen or they shouldn't get sold there. Okay, So now let's talk about being a martyr. Because if you've got a C P A. That looks at a certain tax deduction. Credit something that you're missing because that CPA has some political problem with whatever it is that gave you that deduction or credit You need a new CPA Well, and we talked about this because I mean, I'll be the first to say that if you're in a situation where Medicaid covers your long term care expenses, I think it's completely fair for them to then attach the house until it's sold to recoup these costs. We don't public money. Yeah, and we don't live in a socialistic health care society. We we don't and if you are private pain, you might pay for something different. That was a different level of care. And so I'm okay with that. But whats in my client's best interest when I'm sitting with them when they have family history is not to ignore the things that we can do strategically when we have time to protect assets to include high net worth, people this Yes, this is a It's been a conundrum for me, Alex for many, many years, which is And I'm going to say for at least 15 years. There's always been some sort of tax law. There's something that I just didn't have a moral agreement with the law, but I still have to advise my client to take advantage of it. Take, for example. A non asset requirement program, which is called the Affordable Care Act, the advanced premium tax credit for health insurance and to include Medicaid, by the way, the five year look back working through these rules, right. You and I have several clients that have zero issues with the ability to afford either health care, and I said, either either healthcare or To pay for Medicaid, right, But there's term care. But there's ways there are ways and so people say, Well, these are loopholes. Yeah, those loopholes were designed into it. And as an advisor, if I don't tell my client about the loophole that they're eligible for that may say them for save them. For example, take Danny's not even our client. We may have just saved him 2700 Bucks a year that he could use in another in another place. It's to his advantage to do so. But I work under fiduciary capacity. I must tell him to do that, even if it doesn't benefit me, and even if I disagree, right because it's not about what we believe in philosophically on these rules. It's how the rules work and play in their personal situation and what's in their personal best. Interest period gives a rat's blank about what you think about estate, planning, taxes or state taxes or any of that other stuff. It only matters when you're sitting across the table from somebody in your telling them. These are the tools that are available to you, and you should use these tools because they're going.

"I don't remember the other one Irene or something like that was, you know was there three years and went through two hurricanes a derecho in an earthquake. Never lost power once on any of them, So all right, let's see. Let me go ahead and jump into this. I saw the story yesterday, right as we were winding down and the statistics are That in the city limits of Dallas. I'm not speaking of DFW as a whole, but as often is the case Dallas tends to make its dirty laundry more public than other cities here in the DFW area. But bottom line is that violent crime and targeted areas of this city of the city of Dallas, and that's where I sit right now. It's not where I live, but it's where I sit. Seems to be down by double digits. This is Chief Eddie Garcia, he told the Public Safety Committee said homicides and robberies are down in the last three months, he said, We put an all hands on deck type mentality out there violent crimes off 46% in the targeted grids compared to the 18 week pre intervention period. He said. 11 of those 47 grids are gonna have to be carried over into face tube. High police. Visibility is what seems to be making a different sheet. Who to thank I was thinking about that. Gosh, what would make crime go down? Fear of getting caught fear of being arrested? You think maybe Yeah, I would think that would at least play into it to some extent. Now I have been through this before. I've lived in multiple cities around the United States and I've seen announcements and I'm not saying that That's the case with this. So please don't get me wrong. I'm not. I'm not pointing fingers and I'm not questioning the veracity of this. I'll just operate with the idea that all good well, that's positive. Violent crime is down in the city limits of Dallas. That's good, happy to hear it. But what I have seen happen in the past and this is something that I would alert anybody to look out for. Is that When there is a crime emergency type situation. I saw this happen in Washington D. C. I saw what happened in Seattle. Saw the remnants of it happened in Las Vegas when I lived there When it seems like it's unsafe to walk the streets. That's bad for the Chamber of Commerce. The brochure does not like to reflect things like that. So what ends up happening? And actually, I think this has taken place in the city of Dallas before as well. I think it's the first place I actually saw it happened was back in the odds. Crime had gotten pretty high. People are really concerned. And of course, when crime is high, and people are concerned, they call their representatives and the representatives called the police chief and Call him or her on the carpet and say, what in the world's going on over there. You've got to fix this. I got unhappy voters. And what I've seen happen in the past is that cities will change the definition of what constitutes a certain type of crime. Now, once again. I'm not saying that's what they're doing here. Eddie Garcia seems like a pretty stand up guys. Police chief So we'll give him a chance. He hadn't been in the office very long. So I'm giving a complete chance and say his ideas are working. Okay, that's good. But what we've seen is they will change the definition. That a violent crime doesn't constitute. Uh I don't know. Assault and battery will now define it in a different way. And so while AAA. You define it in a different way, And suddenly the crime statistics look a lot better than they did. Look, crime has gone down. This type of crime has gone down by 29%. Because we no longer define it. The way.

"And they spent a few thousand dollars. They went to a three day thing that they had gone to pre pandemic. And i came back. You know ridiculously disappointed Because there's like you know i mean i just. There wasn't anything i could really sink. My teeth into. There wasn't anything that i could really practice. And i kinda got fixated on that word. And i know you are too. Which is why you inserted that word. Achieving it's one thing to learn something to intellectually. We know it but now let's put it into practice so i got grandsons. I got two grandsons. Junior high we were talking about their math class. They just started back to school and talking about their math. And and the youngest who's just started junior high. Says you know i'm gonna have my teacher said i'm going to have math homework every day. This year you know so. He was lamenting that his father. Who's practically a math. Was a math. Major in college is a master chemist for a pharmaceutical company. Here in dfw. But he's explaining to him that you know. This is the way mathematics work. I mean you can intellectually think that you can grasp these con concepts but your teacher is having. You actually perform this stuff. It's no different in the workplace. I mean it seems to me. That is exactly the point. Yeah i mean you're just not going to. You're never going to be able to apply. You know that way and but this is why we talked to about why group learning is so powerful right because we can read things we can all of us learn in different ways right some of us are more auditory learners or visual kinesthetic learners or whatever but the reality is that when we engage one another in in conversations and dive deeply into these things and can help one another work through whether it's Grasping an idea or literally solving a particular problem in doing it together We're going to gain a lot from that You know like..

"Kidd will make its way back to the ticket and seriousness. Today's nba players seemed to be more responsive to coaches who were players especially ones who were fairly recently player. I don't think that the positive cuban talked about it and they play that on them users this morning that he thought he needed naxos coaches and now he's decided it's better served having a relationship. I'd like to get some sharp assistance. And i am really curious what this nico- can do with relationships as far as going in getting free agency. It's still going to be tough to get someone to come to dallas versus new york or california teams but he does have a relationship. You do have luca. Puccini our talking about it. Seems like we aim for the high profile free agent in not often. Try to go amid range like somebody. Who's really good again. Speaking as an unbiased unbiased third party. I have noticed that they do make runs at some high end free agents and then just ended up having to save that dry powder for the the following. Get used to that feeling buddy. Because that's you. For the next decade. I would agree with that. Has put us back about thirty years. We'll be in vegas before we were gonna say the las vegas. The good news is now that jimmy jackson's no longer here. Jason kidd is free to pursue toni. All he wants. I have done bad things in my life. I have jimmy jackson. I've had sex with toni. Braxton areas gonna learn how to end it just so he can get us out of this episode. Whenever a pretty good idea. If i just showed up at your house with a baseball bat hitch. We'll have to lock the door. The way that lake griffin locked the door and didn't allow cuban to talk to the entree jordan. The free agency period any concerns about kids off field behaviour. Four years ago. I mean honestly look. There's five people sitting here right now. I don't work for a company. But i work at companies so if anybody sitting here right now things that they could go into their office and find out that nobody anywhere in their organization has ever been arrested at any point in their past for anything. Good on you work somewhere amazing. Certainly not the catholic church. It was twenty four years ago if he does something arrested and put him under the jail. I don't care. I hate domestic violence. But my god he literally was a kid. He's a fifty year old man now if he's still doing it now. Execute them in public square. I don't care market and so we can't do quick hits without talking cowboys excited that we're actually getting a true training camp in california. We had a good draft at least in theory. I fear that. I really fear that. I'm gonna put this out there for everybody for all six people that listen to this podcast. I don't have any doubt the nfl and ask jerry jones to do hard knocks that he would do it because he loves marketing. There are rules in place. And if you have not been on the show in ten years and you haven't been to the playoffs for the last two years and if you don't have a rookie head coach if they tell you you're on your on they used to give you. The option and team started declining. The option to go on and the nfl made these new rules. That said you don't get an option if we tell you you're on your on having said that everybody makes his big deal about the jinx that comes along with it go back and look at it teams. Don't regularly to meet their expectations. Coming off that show. There's a lot of bad teams that go on the show. And then they have bad seasons but when the owen sixteen cleveland browns go on the show and then they come out seven and nine. They were sixteen year before they weren't on hard knocks the bed football team. If you're a super bowl team discount derail you. i am looking forward to. This'll be fun. Entertainment we just recently. Chris and i re watched the amazon with the cowboys behind the scene. And listen jason garrett doing the over custer listen guys. Were out there playing football okay. If you don't want to play football fine if you want your mother you can stay home. We don't tolerate any footing around. Okay we're sending out for lunch. Sorry to interrupt you want for lunch. Let me see the menu okay. Let me have some waffles waffle. Mix from the gut store. I'm talking home for made bluff. Also have any organic strawberries. I'd like some of those. And some really. Kick blueberries of big ass blueberries. What i'm saying. Love those but can blooberg think it'll be fun regardless it. It adds another spice. Hey cowboy quick. did you guys see. I think either came out today or yesterday the gm survey of quarterback rankings. They had dak number seven but the controversial part was that he was one space behind. Matthew stafford good that that was a lot of there was a lot of people saying that was a bad. It's stupid but they're all they're going to get stuck right up their backside and i don't care seven's not a bad spot but i do think that he is probably when healthy better than stafford. From all accounts he is doing really well in camp. i'm really looking forward to seeing the hard knocks. Just so i can see more of his progression coming off that injury to see how well he moves around the pocket. You know what kind of improvements. He's made to other parts of his game. Outside of just as mobility. Lotta times when quarterbacks get hurt like that they focus more on accuracy. They focus more on reading defenses. Those are things adak knew how to do already but because he knows he's not going to be able to rely on his legs as much as he did in the past. I'm hoping that has kind of made him try to improve other parts of his game to make him more of a pocket passer and i also think the second year with the same head coach. We already had an episode very talked about. We feel like the defensive coordinator is gonna make some changes so as always being a internal cowboy fan. I'm optimistic but at the same part guarded. Because as i said yesterday on twitter watching england versus italy and england ended up losing it i went. I felt like i was watching your cowboy game. Why do i care one or not. But i did. Have you seen the pictures a cd-rom. He's bigger buffy to get to like does size bigger. I don't know these that big people talked about how he was a little slight for a wide receiver. And he's not because he was what twenty or twenty one years old last year too. So some of that's just natural. You're just getting over all right. You mentioned mccarthy. I think we'll have a much more accurate assessment of him after this season. Because of the fact that you've had the full training camp and everybody's healthy and they're back after this season will really know a lot better whether he's a keeper or not. Well you've taken away. A lot of the excuses. Reality is last. Year was a strange ear with all the cova protocols and all the weird off season so i think this year hopefully things will be more normal down one or the other things that i'm looking forward to seeing is we've been seeing snippets here and there of zeke being in shape and being faster than he has been the last couple of years having hard knocks kind of exposed. That even more will be good just to make sure that it wasn't all kind of a smoke and mirror propaganda campaign try to make. It seem like he was. He's he's lost a lot of weight. Yeah he definitely looked better translates to the fields a completely different question because running backs can fall off the hill no matter how good a shape. They're definitely thinner. Do you think he was motivated by pollard. Or was he just motivated by the fact that he didn't even restaurant thousand yards. Yeah i think he may have been motivated just by having a bad season and i stand by. There are studies that show. If you had cova there could be breathing consequences in your lungs. So i think that was another factor. Hopefully he's one hundred percent and we can get something going. Put this one in the books. We'll probably be talking cowboys again. "Assassination independently fascination. All i can remember is jason kidd when he first signed was excited that dallas had a boston market. Even love that food. Has he already confirmed that. There's not going to be a parade wasn't having parade. And i don't think the mavericks decided to have a. I just hope that he has the locker room divided where the professionals on one side tax mayors professionals tax payers. Well at least they that means that there will be more solid eight forty bits in our future as the return of the fake. Jason kidd will make its way back to the ticket and seriousness. Because of the fact that you've had the full training camp and everybody's healthy and they're back after this season will really know a lot better.

"And welcome to a new episode of how many the only podcast on the internet. That really counts. I am your host jesse jackson. Joining me is scott. Bob me gary and junior and we're going to do a very quick sports quick hits. I can't do a norm. Can you insert a fake norm. Here can't be the and trump or an abortion. I ended up watching a little bit of the euro game. The soccer game england against italy. Because i had had a couple of people on set listing bruce that were from england that we're excited about it so last night when i turn on the tv it was on espn and the rangers were about to pick so i went. Oh okay i'll watch this. Not that i will know anyone so any hot sports opinions about the ranger top. Pick yesterday with the second. Pick of the twenty mlb draft the texas rangers. Select jack lighter a right handed pitcher from vanderbilt university. Jack ladder sudas name all year long with regards to being the top of the draft. And now he goes number two fastball. Plays up with everybody and could fits in the majors right now. Feeding arguably the best fastball in the draft the comp is walker bueller same school same. Same stuff as a chance to be just this giant thumbs up. Yeah from all accounts. The draft went very very well for the rangers. They got the highest rated pitching prospect. I believe in all of college baseball right boy kind of a lucas type deal best player in the draft but wasn't taken first overall. Yeah i i guess what they said is like. He's the top pitcher from the top college. That produces pitchers. I'm sure he will end up failing because it's the rangers just for now. We're we're a little happy. They did make a really good point this morning on the measures where they were talking about. Not only does he have the arm to throw the pitches but having had a dad who was a major league pitcher knows how to pitch like not just a very very successful pitcher. His dad was really good. Question would be how long till he actually hits the field so they said last night if he had to could pitch in the major league now. I hope they don't run them. Yeah that he's that good but if they take their time and do it right. This would be nice for us to have a solid homegrown ace for multiple years so probably be in the rotation by twenty twenty two. So that's the thought that he might show up sometime at twenty twenty two but you're almost guaranteed to have twenty twenty three. I think the most interesting thing about lighter is typically. You have these high school kids or the college kids when they're coming out especially these. Ace pitchers their arms. Just get worn out. Because they'll throw him they don't care they throw them in throwing role. He happens to have been coming into his own college at the same time as all the kobe and stuff was happening. He has a lot less innings on his arms than most. These guys do coming into the league. So i think that's actually going to be a really really beneficial thing. He has not been overtaxed the way most of those guys out. That's what the commentators last line on. Espn said the same thing that there's a lotta tread left on the tire. The other big news is a little things in the mavericks shaking up. I know we have two massive spurs fans here gary. Let's start with you. Did you think it was time for a change in both the general manager aniko coaches. I did. I had problems with done. Nelson carlisle throughout the years. But it's hard to argue in there really enough if you win season after season and you know. They got to one finals and they won another finals. There's a lot of things over the years. That donny didn't value the draft. So there are a lot of wasted picks. Lucky was having fun with it instead of actually taking the chance on heading out again the second round or whatever so i thought it was time for carlisle's not one for developing rookies. So if you're luca and you show up you're just ready to play. He's great if you're not luca and you're not ready to play. He's a big jerk now. You are a big jerk. So apparently luca didn't particularly like that carlisle was mean to or not good for some of the other guys on the team even though he was kissing lucas shoes. It didn't matter because it bothered luca the treated other people so i think it was time for a change. I'm extremely excited about nico harrison. And i am more than willing to give. Jay kid shot a shot. His first real shots at coach. He'd literally been out of playing for nine weeks when he got his first coaching job. So obviously yet he's had some time to learn some things on that front end in. I you gotta think that his time as an assistant coach with the lakers will help him. Learn how to coach quote unquote. When he was here he learned a lot from coach clemens but he didn't learn a lot from coach mata but.

Former President Trump's remarks today at CPAC are expected to address cancel culture, which both he and American conservative Union chief Matt Schlapp say is an intentional targeting of conservative voices. Wet Notes 5-6-2021

"This is wet. Notes here on scooby. Shock radio for may six two thousand and twenty one. I want to start off today with a story. That is a bit of personal meaning to me. And that's a story about what some recreational divers found while diving out in hawaii. Awful and i. Now i have quite a few dives out there. Awful and i and these divers found some unexploded world war two era ordinance. They found two bombs. One was at seventy four feet and the other one was at ninety four feet. The divers immediately notified to hawaii division of aquatic research. Who went out to investigate it and confirmed it was unexploded ordinance the report indicated that the munitions were about three hundred yards offshore. The exact location wasn't disclosed when but it may be in the area of the first and second cathedrals again personal for me. Because i have probably about at least twenty. Five dives onto cathedrals as of now. There aren't any more updates and there was no mention on the divers website and they run many charters out to the site. Let's see where this goes. I recently checked out the four ocean blog to see if there was anything of interest will there was a lot but one thing did pique. My interest for ocean occasionally does a blog on plastics around the world. And that's where they identify articles or stories that talk about the plastic crisis facing the world. Now one article was from interesting engineering and it was written by deora as deamer and this was about plastic eating mushrooms. Yes certain types of fungi can ingest and eat plastic apparently in two thousand eleven some yale researchers discovered rare mushroom in the amazon forest and it was able to digest and break down plastics. One of the scenarios suggest that these plastic eating mushrooms could be placed at the bottom of landfills interesting over the years. There have been various successful experiments. So what's the holdup perhaps speed. It takes times for the mushrooms to eat and digest the plastic and there's also competition for other investment now. Here's a bit of disturbing news that i saw from dima apparently there's going to be a virtual meeting of the florida fish and wildlife conservation commission or dfw see on may twelfth and thirteenth one of the topics on may twelfth. I think it is a two. Our discussion is to review and update the goliath grouper. Now this review is to look at if they should allow a limited highly. Regulated harvest of the goliath grouper. Why well that's a really good question now if you go out to the f. w. website you'll be able to find a detailed Presentation on this review. Even if the science holds up and supports the harvest. I would have to ask if the enforcement is of a regulated harvest. Dean feels that. The economic value of the goliath grouper are better served without any harvest and continue the protection they currently have. Sos thousand island. Well what's that all about. Well for those of you are familiar with the saint lawrence seaway in the thousand island region. Sos stands for save ontario shipwreck thousand island chapter now. This was reported in scuba news. Sos thousand island wants to create an artificial reef off of brockville in canada. Why are they making such a bold proposal. Were there are three main objectives. I an artificial reef will reduce the pressure on the local historic wooden shipwrecks and then second. An artificial reef can preserve the maritime history of ships that had been destined for scrap and finally this effort will assist the local aquarium in promoting maritime heritage and discovery. This is still a long way off but there is some good news in that day of identified a ship that could be used and it is the former canadian coast. Guard vessel the c. c. g. s. mont. Mandy now this ship was built in one thousand nine hundred sixty three and it was decommissioned and sold in nineteen ninety nine. Let's see where this one goes. Well here's something that. I just saw from patty. I think it was on the patty pro blog. Patty women's dive day. Two thousand and twenty one is coming and the tagline on the blog was celebrate the connection between mandy and the ocean. This year's patty women's dive day is july seventeenth 2021. This event started six years ago in two thousand and fifteen and it was started as a way to encourage more female participation in sport scuba diving to date there have been over four thousand patty women's dive day events in over one hundred countries. I'm sure last year was a little tough to get events planned and executed safely this year. More places are opening and travel is picking up. Everyone can participate be on the lookout for patty women's dive day event in your local area or maybe even travel to a nice destination to participate and finally today. I thought i'd give everyone and update on traveling. To the bahamas. As of may first the bahamas ministry of health has released new guidelines for entry departure. I if you are fully vaccinated for covid nineteen that's two weeks from your final. Does you don't need a covid. Nineteen tests prior to entry. Nor do you need to fill out the daily health questionnaire or get a covert test. After your fifth day on the island. You'll still need to apply for the bahamas. Health visa prior to entry. And you still need to get a covert test before travelling back to the united states. Now we're heading to nassau a may twenty six th so these changes make things a whole lot simpler. Hopefully more countries will open up. Like the bahamas. Well that's it for wet notes on may six two thousand and twenty one here on scuba shack radio

Our state Department of Health yesterday reported the lowest Monday numbers of new covert cases since October, 26th. Just 3615 that is also out of only 25,000 tests over the holiday weekend. You expect fewer tests. Good news is that the 70 average of new cases which has been trending downwards, and Jamie Wraith is now under 6800. Statewide positivity rate. Was it 6.83% bride? 7.41, Miami Dade 5.88. Of those continue a general downward trend seen over the past five weeks or so. Well, yeah, about that. The latest report shows just under 4700 people hospitalized coded 19 across the state. That is a decrease of about 3100 in the last four weeks alone. Across the stage is under 3.5 million doses of the vaccine have been administered. And only 5% of our population fully vaccinated. That's at 5%. I want that more with the doctor Mulligan at the 7 21. Unequal is just under 12% of the U. S population for only 4.5% fully backs in. So if you look at it that way, Florida's ahead of the curve, Uh former CDC Director Tom Frieden told CNN that the downward trends of covert we're seeing across the country. Are not because Americans are being vaccinated. No, I don't think the vaccine is having much of an impact at all on case rates. It's what we're doing right. Staying apart, wearing masks, not traveling, not mixing with others endures, baby. Basically, we're getting over a huge surge around the late year holidays, and now cases are plummeting. But they're still high. We've had three surges. Whether or not we have 1/4 surge is up to us. Aaron and Freedom rather parroted. The same concern made public health officials are worried about at new variants are being to take all across the country. Lee into 1/4 surge well Depends. Well, White House coronavirus senior adviser Andy Slavitt urged Americans to continue their efforts at mitigating the spread of the virus for a few more months or not there yet, and it would be such a shame to take your foot off the gas too early. We don't want to go through another spike, even if it's despite the size of only went through over December and January, continue to follow the guidelines. Where mask listen, the CDC Because we get the vaccinations up over the course of the spring, it will change the course of this pandemic. Clavet says he's not sure if there will be another increase nationwide in the near future. A new report out yesterday claims there at least seven new lineages of the virus going across the country. But these we believe that these vaccinations, Fizer maternal will work against him. New variants also said to have been spotted across the country, and experts warn this new very end. Could be dominant the U. S by March, But again, what we know so far is that visor and Madonna vaccines work. They were worried about the AstraZeneca one, but we're not sure about that quite yet. So, um, look, it's it's starting to get better. And look, if you're at the tail end of this just, you know. Take that in consideration escaped so far escape a little long. And hopefully we're just being careful for a shorter period. Texas Mayor Believes Women Should Be Silent In Churches

"Down in Town called Wiley Texas. I'M GONNA say it's how you would say that. Why are you It's kind of in the dfw sort of metroplex whatever somewhere in that somewhere in that area. Somewhere I sense of it. I didn't really look closely tech. Most of Texas is in the The Dallas Fort Brawl. As far as you can get it is amazing like it is honestly truly amazing. Any who their mayor Who is described in this article that I found as a magician Minnesota wild this is a triple. He's got all of them. That's that's the dream you guys. I don't know what what you guys wanted to be as kids but I'm pretty sure we all wanted to be magician. Minister Mayor just seemed impossible and this man has done it so Kudos to him. Well they one of his city council members a man by the name of Jeff Forester And the mayor's name is Eric Hogue should he be wondering He he emails him and says mayor over the past five weeks members of youth with a mission have been walking through Wiley and praying over our city and citizens. I believe this is a great testament to the youth in our city and devotion to God with your permission. I would like to ask a couple of the young men to come to our next meeting and lead us in prayer before. Let me know your thoughts and I will arrange to have them come. Jeff Okay. Youth mission all right. Yeah walking around praying what what good. What a good thing for young people to be doing what what productive work? Yeah and so the mayor response he says. Hey Jeff sounds good. I would like that all I ask. Is Those leading the public prayer? Be Young men. Here's why I make that request as a preacher for the Cottonwood Church of Christ we take the the two versus below literally the puts them in here I Corinthians Fourteen thirty four to thirty five a let your women be silence. Silence in the churches for it is not permitted unto them to speak but they are commanded to be under obedience as also Sayeth the law. And if they will learn anything let them ask their husbands at home for it is a shame for women to speak in the Church. And then yeah. That's that's one of those ones. Where like when Christian started to like I I would like when I hear about a church that follows that even though I think it's a horrific stupid right because at least you know that's one more that they're not being hypocrites about right so so there you go mayor with me. Yeah then then I Timothy two eleven. Twelve let the women learn in silence with all sub subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach nor to usurp authority over the man but to be in silence and so there says so. I have always requested that. A man lead the invocation. I understand. Not everyone may agree with me. But I can't go against my conscience but I would love to have the group count and visit with them and then let a couple of guys leader. They're just just. Don't let any of those lady you come in and pray ruin everybody's doing well first of all. Here's the deal. Does he understand the word? Literally we'd be starts off. He says that we take these two verses below literally and the nurses are talking about church. Yeah and well as teaching everything that's literal about. These says absolutely nothing about a prayer at a city council meeting he. I I think I think he's. He's also looking at the spirit of the law which just women shut up no matter what you know. There's the letter of the law. But if you're really GONNA hold to the word of God shut the hell up ladies than don't talk about liberalness right anyway. So this is all leaked out And I WANNA know who leaked it. Do Okay who leaked it? Oh No oh it's gotta be somebody's wife. Right I the other Jeff Forrester the city council member. I my is He. He thought that was kind of weird right and laughed and chuckled about it. And you're right but I mean this is like will here's the deal. Wiley Texas DOT GOV. It would have been easy this public record. They were using both of them. Were using their official government email and so I mean if somebody wanted to just request them get their hands on them that you're not doing if you've got a a pastor or priest or you know a minister of some sort in an in an official position in your local government. Somebody needs to be doing. You know FAFSA requests of their up all of their documents at all times for reasons. Because you're going to get you're GonNa Stumble on Shit like this all the damn time. Yeah again I don't know how it came out but it's really really remarkable. I mean first of all you know. We both clearly object to the idea of there being a prayer at the beginning of the meeting and all right. This absolute douchebag Maher who also I guess because of Cova There may there may election was postponed to November because the pandemic so the guys getting like some extra time in office. I think it's people who kind of pissed about that too so I love it here. Here's the other thing that I love. I love the idea that like 'cause we talk all the time about how in this country is unconstitutional. If you're at very least if you're going to allow anyone to give a prayer you kind of have to allow everyone to be able to give that prayer and that's the basis of many many for Lawsuits and whatever but does it say anything about the gender of the person. Because I don't know I think there may be something beautiful in will allow anyone to pray but you have to go by the letter of law you have to. If we can find something in your life we get to police your religion and it's An and you have to obey your religion. Exactly that'd be something great about

I keep track an end. You know we have to record the show earlier. Because Seth is turning into a GRANDPA and Sunday starting to starting to do woodworking and go to bed early trump would it becomes a teacher just random side story about shop teachers I actually didn't get take shop class in high school. We sort of had one. But I I did a drafting course. Instead which turned out to be very valuable and useful to me later in life and so I'm happy I did it We I was like the last year they did paper drafting with the square and know the arm moving around and doing all by answers really cool on and then learned cad later but separate from that My wife was telling a story last night as we were talking about some of these things and I bought more tools or power tools on having the crap turns out matters a lot but she's timing the story about how she did something in shop class when she was like in middle school and hers wasn't very good but her sister who's a year younger than her came back and it was really good in much straighter lines and this and that and I'm like oh she probably is that the right the right the fence and had it all working correctly. I don't think we had that was like how could you do that? You use a table. Solid data blade without a French. So now you just held it carefully. This that's Super Dangerous. Did have missing finger cystic wait. Why get another kids ever lost fingers in Class? And maybe maybe the shop teacher lost in a different way. I don't know but just from a visual perspective in the image. You're trying to project. I don't see how that's a good idea. Not One of my which teachers told us to tell us how he'd come in on weekends with dead dear to cut them up on the we're GonNa be completely topic here for the first couple of is a friend of mine who lives in the catskills apparently China some stories about their neighbor once the stupid APP Arnold next next next door next door chats or this or that in something. I have not far in my life avoided getting into it and I'd like to keep about if you like to read just just completely nonsense cyncical stuff and crazy neighbors. It is definitely for you. I spent a decent amount of time in my life on twitter quotient. I need man all right. So let's dive into some stories here. the first one is a propublica a article about the. Tsa over a million in ninety five masks even the airports are basically emt and TSA staffing levels down And it really doesn't need one point. Three million in ninety five masks and so this was concerns were raised back in April and You know they were saying we should donate these and people said No. We're not GONNA donate them. We're GONNA WE'RE GONNA keep them Very interesting are the. Tsa agents working at the customer facing roles wearing masks at all I think they are right at the PX. They are okay but like started masks. Not An five sir. I'm pretty sure they're surgical haven't seen in ninety five used as sort of a weird thing with just the whole and ninety five situation at those are the ones that are going to see. A product guarantee knows transmission By what you know when you ask the question like one is the goal of wearing the mask and how much of it are you trying to control? Obviously one hundred percent time for. Everyone doesn't work right because we don't have the supplies and so someone someone wanted. Today is gonNA open up a warehouse in fine wherever the government put like all the ones they hijacked from the states and from everybody else they're going to be stored somewhere but it is kind of weird and it's instead the says that CSS quietly stored many of them in a warehouse near DFW. We're paying for the warehouse space. Yeah so anyway. It's it's it was expected that this would this would last thirty days. That surplus would last thirty days for all of their security officers but did did not account for the decline in the number of officers needed lately so with air down like ninety five percent in the US. I would suspect it would last a lot longer. I would pose the question. They asked you change their staffing levels knowing them. Let's that's a good question I don't know here's the thing though forty days. That's only if you take. What are one point? Three million two hundred forty only thirty two thousand five hundred so that really don't have there's only thirty thousand thirty thousand. Tsa agents working working per day on for some number's higher. I don't know it seems low for sure and also only one master person per day. The lunch break. You gotta put it back on. The in theory is a really bad idea. Of course I've been wearing the same one for three months now so nothing. Maybe maybe some people out there who were flown have seen what the what the. Tsa agents are wearing. Just let us know. Because I mean I've only been once during all this and other than that have been getting updates on their twitter so next up so Cessna has a new plane. The Cessna Sky Career completed. Its first flight this week. New Clean Design Clean Sheet designed aircraft. Pretty Amazing thought it would never happening again. I will say it.
