"If you have $50 billion in assets, you got to accumulate a large position. People are constantly scanning a blockchain for that now. And I think this will only get worse. I think it'll get really bad, right? So I believe that in the future, privacy preserving protocols will be a huge, huge demand. Anyone that will allow someone to take and do Dex trading privately to take in accumulate a position to do over the counter deals, for example, if you wanted to take and buy a large block of eth or something like this, if you could do that privately through a protocol railgun, this is going to be really really, really important in the future. If DeFi is going to be like the remake of traditional finance, there has to be privacy in it. And I believe that if privacy is a part of it, the voyeuristic collection and selling of your data will be too overt and it won't make it. So you're talking about Dex, I'm assuming that means that you guys will have your own decks as well. Yeah, absolutely. So the project that we're building, we're calling it Rayleigh swamp, whether or not it'll be called that in the future is neither here nor there. But what we're designing is a fully internal Dex system, which allows you to take and do swaps in a private fashion fully within rail gun, which is really, really exciting because this is like true, dark pool type stuff, like no one will know what happened, why it happened, who did it, anything. So one of the first integrations that we're building is a Dex integration, which will allow us to take in trade from railgun privately. So you can kind of think of railgun as this big, huge black hole of liquidity that you're partaking in. This black hole goes out into uni swap and swap some tokens. They don't know who it was, but they see that, well, you know, somebody swaps some tokens for swap some tokens for other tokens. They swap dog shit X for some dye. Don't really know why or who did it, or how much dog should ex they own still. But did you just call it dog shit hacks? X? I really thought you said dog shed hacks. No, you know, no implications to the hexagons out there. I just thought that's what you said. No, God, no. In fact, you know, we like the guys over at hex. Yeah. We just ripped it on the show and he's an interesting cat. And honestly, I'm still, I'm still undecided. You know, I'm just gonna let things play out. Yeah, I mean, true story, you know, Kieran, or Kyrie and I should say, excuse me. Our lead developer actually participated in developing a large amount of code for X before he came over to develop on railgun. So we're pretty close to these guys. We know them. You know, Richard's just a good dude. I don't have any illegal against him. But suffice it to say the internal deck system that you're talking about is going to be really, really cool. We're really excited about that because that's where true dark pool liquidity starts to happen. So there's a lot of stuff going on with railgun. You know, what are some of the future developments of the projects, maybe integrations of new chains? Also, I heard through the Grapevine about some private NFT transactions down the road. So maybe tell us about what are some of the things that folks can come to expect from real gun in the future? Yeah, so.

"Interesting data to data points over the weekend involving crypto. Have you ever heard of decentralized exchanges? It's where all the DeFi magic has been happening lately. And according to some new research, Dex had a big year reporting more than $1 trillion in 2021 trading volumes as of December 23rd, up 858% from a $115 billion in volume in 2020. Monthly volume peaked in May at a $162.8 billion and leading the pack of the Dex is uniswap with over 75% of the Dex market market share. But don't cry for the centralized exchanges. That last bit of data was from the block, and this is from the block as well. Centralized crypto exchanges reported over $14 trillion in 2021 trading volume. And that was up 689% year over year. Binance is the leader here in centralized exchanges, facilitating 67% of the total volume or over $9.5 trillion. Quote, all these numbers are from the blocks legitimate index, which takes volume data from the largest exchanges that are known to be reporting volumes more accurately and quote. "So I decided to print business cards and go to a networking event in Santa Monica. I think it was for dodo expert which we're all familiar with. And I went there. Handing out my business card that said, pitch Dex specialist on her on and bumped into a friend from college. It's like what do you have Tools like while I make pitch decks and he was like, okay, interesting handed about true business cards out and he ended up making a referral to me, and that was my very first. Pitched backslash kind that I created. Um, which was super exciting. Amazing what happened on and I know we touched on this a little bit. But who's your ideal client? Yes. Oh, my ideal client is is an earlier stage start up just because they tend to really need help and the education at that point. A lot of the service is It's consult its consulting. So we give them the information. We definitely explain the mechanics of their deck and why it's working for them. Why we do it The way that we do it on Ben. We get to help them to the life of their business as they go on to raise the series, a series B and so on. And you're fully self funded, right? Haven't raised any any round of funding. What was that process like? It was. It's funny how so? Well, how is it Still? Yeah. No, I mean, I I broke even in my first year, which is awesome. Amazing. Yeah, and I, you know, in through stumbling on figuring out how to start a business how to open an loc or an escort for which one I needed. I knew I needed a business bank account. So I went and open to business Bank account. And the banker said. Okay, Here's your business credit card. You have a year free of interest and like big wood. And what is my credit limit? And, um I had no idea that that was even a thing that that was an option. In the second, he said that I was like, Okay, I know that I can use this credit card and rack up just enough that to get my business off the ground, and I know that I'll be able to pay it off before interested, right and that was my goal, and that's what I did. And I was able to pay it off before interest hit and now it's Off the wool and it's just amazing. Yeah, that's good. It's hungry. If you could go back in time to young jasmine, even though you're still young, But when you first started pitch genius, what would be kind of one piece advice of advice that you would tell yourself? Your former self? Absolutely, um One piece of advice would be to think bigger. I think I've started out so young that it was hard for me to understand that other people had money. And it was okay to ask for money. And it was okay to charge what I wanted to charge. Uhm so because I was young Didn't have a big pocket book was in a much different place in my life. I think I was thinking much smaller than and now that I realized what the business world is like and What? What My worth is and what the services worth it worth is looking back. I would have told myself like this is worth for a lot more because I used to charge much different prices when I first started. How did you even come about with pricing? Did you just like pick a random number? How did you do that? Yeah, well, when I first us What about my pricing? It was OK. Who is my client? Tone right. Early stage start up So early stage startups don't have a lot of money, so it needs to be something that Is affordable on. So I was first starting to create tax for like 507 $100. All revisions included, right and it was personal ID. And there was a lot of work but that when I was first starting, I was like, Wow like this is still good money when I was like, No, no, it's actually not s So then I had to reassess pricing. What I really did was call other services and Get quotes from them went through the quoting process with them and realized, OK, This is kind of where the market is that I want my service to be premium. No, not all. Clients and all founders will be able to afford this service and ice created workshops and allowed the education to come through in that way. Um and then, Yeah, I just figured out my pricing through again competitive analysis. And what would you say? Your top three tips are, however many tips you want for people who are just kind of crafting their idea and starting that elevator pitch process or just the pitch process in general. Yeah, absolutely. I think it's important to real. Lies that you don't need to raise money from investors, although that's what I encourage and help people do all day. You can be so funded right, and those are two very different paths. Taking an investor's money and growing a business and scaling it very quickly is completely different from organically growing a business a solid small to medium business that can eventually become very large, of course. S o first decide. Okay? This is my idea. How much money will it take to get off the ground doesn't require raising money, Or is it something that I confined myself so I can keep 100% ownership. Do I even want to raise money? Maybe you do it right, so thinking that through and going with the option that makes most sense for you that agrees with your lifestyle, agrees with your personality. It's not for everyone. Um so I would say that and then the second piece of advice would be to give 100% commitment to it. A Ziff, You've just had a newborn baby. It takes that much attention and love and care to your startup to really get it off the ground, and I know that there's a high turnover rate or failure rate for new businesses, but I think a lot of that is attributed to people. Not giving 100% and not not seeing it through right. Right. People get to a point, and maybe they don't see the money that they want to see. Maybe they see it's not viable and sure if it is not a viable idea, letting you go is the best idea is the best option. But, um I think 100% commitment is what's going to get you to that first year mark where you will see some tragedy in second year Mark You will see you. It will come to fruition. I just have to keep working on it. And the last thing would be to take care of yourself mentally and physically because the only way to give 100% commitment to your business is to take care of yourself. Um, it's it's so important to be in that right mindset. And to have the physical energy to be able to go through what it takes to start a business because it's a lot of work, and it's a lot of hours on Dure the most important piece to making that happen so Gotta take care of yourself. Yeah, Absolutely. Where can people learn more about you and pitch genius? Absolutely. So we teach workshops every once in a while from accelerators or or will host them ourselves s O. The workshops are a great way to touch base with us. Get to know us. Get to know me a swell as our website. I don't do a whole lot of social media. But we do have at pitch genius understood?.

"Dot com. But I really liked the two year option that's available in some of the fixed income annuities that we're working with right now is that you could ride the market up. For two years. And get all the return. But if the market has a negative return, you get zero. And then if you were riding the market all the way up for that two years, some of the companies have an incentive. So depending upon your strategy, let's just say that you're in the Fidelity dividend, and Dex will just pick one. And let's just say that the market went up 10%. That's what you are credited with. You're going to get a little bit more than 10% of the market. But you're never going to have a negative but on a brokerage account, you never have the opportunity to write it up in to collect the return. We could do that on the two year because that returns gonna lock in and become your new floor, which is significance if you currently do not have a strategy where you're locking in your growth on a single year or multiple year. So that that's just how many people have been to the million mark on a portion of their portfolio, and then it's dropped down to 708 100, they said. If I had my million back, this is what I would do well with this type of strategy. You don't have to say that because your million from a worst case scenario. Froze are that the platform very very large and When they are used for good, can generate a lot of money especially to light nonprofit organizations are community based organizations and especially small businesses. I think a lot times sites will amplify. Small black businesses or business owners were creating things and it literally opens you up to people to support your products i. think in ways when you utilize your platform to uplift. And encourage and support resources in things that are out there for black folks I think that's something that more of. These types of sites can start to do. In DEX on social media, you know we are on twitter. So much is referred to as black twitter. There are dedicated top tracks and Hanson laps but offered a lot of articles and videos sexes enabling sudden use cases in verticals like public safety, healthcare and education. That's that's great. So we talked a little bit about your experience with Knox. So let's talk about what his decks done related to security. Decks doesn't really interfere with security it fully. Applies with the policies set by administrator tool that Yemen. Say you want to attach a picture you took on your full intuit email. and. Hopefully in the voters will open and you'll be able to come home but I'm just not sure when that's going to be. Let's talk a bit more about decks. Now, what exactly is decks? So Samson becks is a software platform that. Or smartphone or tablet into a desktop computing experience, it is built into many of the latest Samsung smartphones and tablets. It's free. You don't have the by anything all of you to get started using decks just a monitor hits, GMI ADAPTER END keyboard mouse, and with Dr Latest Galaxy Note Twenty you can use decks wirelessly on most of your TV's support meter cast. Of the best part is why you are running backs on the Monitor. You can continue to use your device at the same time. So you're attending video conference on the big screen, but he can also take notes are bras to your emails on your delays at the same time. So you're saying now it's it's made a cast ESPN larger display to MIRA cast wide leslie vendex was launched with Galaxy S. eight. Yes. There were a couple of hardware accessories like a cradle was quite boo Pluggedin v graduated from there wireless activity now there are. Certain limitations, any number of APPS can run a while you're connected wirelessly. But you have the option of just going into a meeting room connecting to a display, AD Leslie and running your presentation software full. So can you tell me where did the name decks come from? What does that mean? Yeah, anything ending with exit? Catchy. Right. But decks is a shot version of a desktop audience. Helps the body avoid that cytokines storm which could cause a lot of trouble for people. For more on how these steroids are helping in the fight against Corona virus will speak to Joseph Walker, reporter at The Wall Street Journal. Back in June, there was a United Kingdom study that found that Dex a method zone, which is one of these generic steroids been around since the sixties. Very cheap, widely available Doctors really familiar with it. And this UK study found that the use of this drug and hospitalized patients were very sick on ventilators reduce deaths by about a third. This is back in June. And Mr Big surprise really welcome surprise because it was the first drug found to significantly reduce deaths in covert 19. And so that was really sort of. Ah, bit of a shift in sort of thinking about how to use these drugs and what drugs used, But they were so sort of some questions lingering around how robust these data were just one study, these results would need to be confirmed. And so today, What we have is a bunch of doctors and scientists convened by the World Health Organization analyzed seven different studies using a whole bunch of different cortical steroids. And found really consistent results across all and essentially that patients who received these drugs hospitalized and then pretty bad condition had their risk of death reduced by about. Ah, third compared TTO patients getting in there a placebo or just the usual standards care so we really confirms his earlier result and also opens up the use of Many more cortical steroids. Not just excellent. So, and the reason why they say this helps out because they're anti inflammatory drugs. They say that it dampens the effects of an over active immune system. So AH, lot of times you have been hearing about the cytokines storm where your own immune system is going haywire, trying to fight off the infection and its doing, mohr. Bad than good. So they're saying that these thirds help out in that area. Yeah, exactly. I think we've talked about the sighting Kind Storm thing before. And actually, one of the dark shadows speaking with for the article today is saying that well, he cited kind. These proteins that are involved in the immune in the immune response are sort of part of the problem here. Do you think it's not just the side it kind of the whole bunch of different things going on with immune system And that may be why the steroids or having a beneficial effect? Because they're sort of blunt instruments, the sort of damp in the immune system broadly, they're not very specific, and that's one of the Sins by doctors have been a little bit lost in to use them. But it seems like that sort of broad want. The fact is maybe why they're having such a benefit in these patients where there means that you're just going crazy. You're going haywire on DH. Usually you're mean system is the thing that you're counting on to fight the virus. And in this case, it's just been way more than you needed to is actually turning on yourself. Sort of, like friendly fire is one of the doctors talk. Tio put it. So far, we don't really have any drugs that have been proven effective to treat the earliest stages of Cove in 19. So in the guidance this is really only for the sickest patients. As you mentioned a lot of times, people that might be on ventilators, and they're also recommending that this Not used for milder cases, even Cho. Good as you well know, it's tricky virus. Right? So we think that they're different stages of the disease right in the earliest stages. When you want your mean system to kick in and concerns of the virus. It doesn't work as well as who wanted Teo. And then after time. He means it's some starts working way more than we wanted to write, and so with his guidance is saying is that in those earliest stages when immune systems kind of chicken, you want to avoid the steroids because they in that stage might actually have AH, harmful effect right? It'll be dampening your immune system. When you want to kill the virus and really toe Wait Until you're sort of these later stages, Mississippi would have would be helpful. It just seems like a very delicate balance in fighting this, But at least now we're kind of confirming that with the help of these steroids, we can treat the worst parts of it. You know, when it gets really bad in these patients, so good news all around, and as this is just kind of how it keeps going. We're just gonna keep learning more and more about how to treat this virus. The longer we have it with us. The longer we encounter it, so good news on all of this for now.

IGN Expo Day 1: Everything Announced and Revealed
"There was other announcements that happened yesterday. So John is doing their summer of gaming with their Aegean Expo and day one yesterday had a bevy of announcements. Mostly you know smaller, India or double A. Games, but Brittany we have you to talk to us all about everything that was revealed for Yuccas Leka drag over. It looks so good. There's a crayfish name Nancy. Is that all we need to know. Yeah, that's literally all anyone ever needs to. Get into this game, but no, so the main takeaway for me because I'm. I know I'm going to play this game surprising. No one is I'm trying not to learn about the plot point and at one point Oh gosh, someone from. The team was talking started talking about kind of like where the story was. Go and I kind of tuned out after that so what I did is I went to Yakuza Hughes a PC gamer. And I pulled some of the top things that they found from the stream, and it was all salisbury free, so the Games turn based. Combat, which includes a job system. All takes place in the protagonist head. He's imagining real. Fight says he's absurd. Encounters are full of special moves so apparently. Yvonne is a fan of Retro Gaming, and in order for him I guess getting like the Groove of fighting. He imagined that all of this kind of stuff in his head, and that's how we applies. Is like fight to it? I guess I. Don't know. Like I got map it out. You can level up bonds between characters called drink links in with higher bonds. They'll do follow up attacks for you and combat, and it sounds like you can maybe romance other characters Nikko. We're getting a little persona alert or with our links with our like drink links is actually a very. There are nineteen jobs each have their own unique outfits classes I'm assuming this can mean and then the new setting Yokohama's apparently three times, the size of Maroteaux with nine different districts, which is just absolutely insane to me. I thought Colorado was big enough, but hey, you can always go up three times bigger. And there's. Significant business management mode where you take over a feeling, confess confectionary company, and turn it a greedy great holdings, company and it'll. Shareholder battles and there's straight cart inquest which are embracing mini games in can. You pick up cans and rickshaw out. Collect other Ken collectors. I mean more I see, it's just I can't wait. The, beauty of the series is that it has some really. The main narrative is really intense, and there are some super deep impactful moments. I've tried several times. I'll play these games, but you have this off the wall. Goofy side content that really. Lightens the mood up and. Sounds like ready to beginning a lot of that I'm really excited. Obviously, we still have a release date their keep saying day and date for the new consoles, but if I had to guess I'd say it's probably coming out maybe in a few months or so. Wait, so this is one of the Games is coming to current Gen before dex. Chan right I'm assuming this. They're being really cagey with the wording of it. They're saying you know I. It was only confirmed for Xbox What's IT called series? Yeah, but the thing where you buy, you can play it on. The other has no the backwards compatible one of a smart delivering. Yes The name of it but I know what you're talking about. Yeah, so as part of that, and then they just officially announce that long ago. That of course is coming to PS five as well an PS for an xbox one, but they're saying the same day that it's going to release for all these like how does but but. Yeah so I. Don't know why they're not giving a release date I. Really don't understand because we're already halfway through June so if they're. They're holding it to relaunch it on launch day for five or xbox series that they can't give the release date because the farmers having well. No, they're saying they're going to release on the. They're all GONNA release like on the same day is what it sounds like, but maybe that's what they're also. Maybe that's what they're saying is like. It's going to release on PS. Fi first or xbox were I we don't know. Why am I confused here? Yeah, yeah, it doesn't make sense. It'll all become clear I'm sure I would guess that they're tying announced date by the end of the summer. Typically three if we don't see dates at e three announcement and their holiday, we give them games calm because that's another major marketing beat that's directly ahead of the holiday season. Big spend that we usually see retailers doing so hopefully. We'll know by the end of the Ceylon, and where you'll appreciate this. Apparently, there's two hundred and fifty two Suji Mon and you can become a Sushi mind master. If you collect these dangerous beans that are called Sugerman I, see challenges, the green, red and blue kind, and then it's an encyclopedia and you build another coke addicts. I just like. It looks cool. Who that was a lot, and there certainly was some other news that happened this week, but of course we are focusing on this massive playstation reveal event, and not to discredit any of the games that were announced. Extra Day One. There's just like so much to cover. We just cannot. Crawl into one episode of our show, but we are looking forward to doing even more next week next week's going to be another massive show with more watch along because I'm going to be creating a streaming. Streaming schedule calendar that I'm going to put up for you guys. You know exactly when we're going to be live on our twitter channel and you can watch along with us, but I do want to do have quick follow up on a story that Brittany and I talked about on the Monday show, which is the bundle for racial justice and equality that it. has been blasting out so their initial fundraising goal for this bundle that we talked about was I can't remember it was what was the initial goal was like a five million it was. I don't remember the. Over five million dollars now and their fundraising effort, which is phenomenal. The bundle originally had around seven hundred forty two games. I WANNA say now has over a thousand, and it says it includes more than fifteen hundred works from at least one, thousand, one, hundred and ninety eight creators, so they're adding more games so this bundle all the time, and it's raising money for the N. double ACP legal defense, and Educational, fund and the Community, Bail Fund proceeds from the fundraiser will be split fifty fifty between the two organizations and

"At all and having that ultimate peace and since of sanity is priceless and the only reason because the only reason that not going to say the only reason but one of the main reasons that one of the parents will will kind of allow their moods to shift and change and then dictate if that child you know if they're gonNA be cooperative or not with the child. Visitation of the child's conversations with the other parent is because they see that it affects the other parent. They see that it's a way to still control the other parent or it's their way of getting revenge man Yep So let me let me stop preaching for a second and let me let me get back on track but with with the things you know a lot of the things that you were describing as well. I'm going to go back to that three part series video that I that I posted on my youtube channel. And for those of you listening. If you haven't checked out that Youtube Channel yet it you can find it by searching coach energy. That's coach in our G. Y. Right there in your youtube search bar and you see is called the visitation in custody problems parts. One two and three and the subtitle is listen to this before having sex and in each of those parts. I pose a question that says is the person who you're dating or Mary too or just simply having sex with is that someone whom you can live in the same household with for at least eighteen years even if you two are no longer quote unquote in love with each other even if you two are separated and being able to do all of that for the sake of your child being able to have twenty four hour access to both parents and both parents being civil with each other. That's something that a lot of us don't think about even when we're just like. I said you know dating someone getting to know them. You know filling them out or if it's not even that series of a relationship but if it's someone that were just you know sleeping with you know what people call it friends with benefits type of thing. What if you end up being pregnant? Is this person that I'm that. I'm assuming risky whiff right. Is this person someone that I can see myself with for the next eighteen years whether we are together or not whether we are still in love or not forsake of our child having twenty four hour access to the of us are child doesn't have to be passed back and forth for the next eighteen years and I think that if we you know if we all ask that question at the beginning stages of getting to know someone of witches have that in the back of our mind as we're going through life dating meeting.

"During the separation phase one all the emotions are high and you know at some point. I was like plan. This is this is terrible. I know better and so I had to check myself. I had to say okay. I've got it you know. I have a choice to continue to go through this the way that I've been going through it or I can rewrite how things have been going for just my life period because I started seeing how affecting my child and I saw the familiar the familiar. Let try to say that word. The familiarity that word I saw the pattern and what she was then going through as a child that looks just like what I went through as a child and I had always told myself if I ever have children I will never put them in a situation that I was put in as a child but then guess what I did but you know it kind of goes with what I was saying a little bit earlier in this conversation. It's never too late to to stop and to get things on track. It's never too late to just press that pause by and say okay. I can do better. I need to do better. I have to do better if not for myself for this child because this child is not deserve it so my heart goes out to the child but then at the same time being an adult knowing the things that I know now I my heart goes out to both the DADS and moms whether they are involved or not. What are their absent or not. My heart goes to both of the parents as well because if as parents we're still going through those things were still having. Those petty moments were still having those bickering moments. That's because we have. We're still not at peace with something in our lives and like you were saying all this type of behavior is rooted into something is rooted in something and that means that with this type of behavior is abnormal and with this type of behavior going on between adults then one or both of those adults are still dealing with something that happened to them years ago and my heart goes out to them because I know that feeling but then I also now know what it's like to be on the other side and having gotten rid of that weight having gotten rid of whatever that issue or those issues were and it it one thing that I tell my clients is it takes high and it's going to hurt but you have to be patient and you have to want it. That's the only way that things will change. That's the only way you yourself will be happy and at peace because you want to. I want to get you to a place or WANNA help show people how to get to the place where no matter. What the other parent does or says it will.

"It's crazy because a lot of that stuff sticks with child as they grow up and as they get older and as they go through their own life their life situations their relationships and a lot of the stuff that children go through as innocent as they are. It's white it's those things that affects them as an adult and not every child once they become an adult goes through or knows how to cleanse themselves of what happened to them as a child and so they allow those things to affect them and their decision making skills and then so start a cycle. You know so now. They've come from a broken home. They've come from a home. Appear Mom and dad argue they come from a home where mom and Dad Or where one of the parents just you know are not present at all so you know not having that balanced household of both mother and father to them. That's abnormal 'cause what's normal to them is a one-sided type of household either the mom or that and so they go through life having to navigate life with that type of mindset with that type of understanding and so. I know personally it took time and it still takes time because it's an every day process of literally and I'm not trying to go biblical but renewing my mind to not allow my past experiences to affect me in a negative way now as an adult. I so I I mentioned that. Yeah I experienced that as a child but then I also experienced it as an adult as a parent myself. I was married. I got divorced for the first year after being divorced. That was the timeframe that I went through the same co-parenting type of issues the the terrible communication type of issues. I haven't had to deal with that after that first year have been divorced because then my ex totally abandoned abandoned us not just financially but abandoned us just you know what the permanent the with his parental responsibilities. So I've been a complete single-parent for what is this almost fourteen years thirteen years.

"I am coaching. My Mail clients is to give them to understand that aspect. Because if you understand that piece that small piece but you see how large it is and you see just how big of of of an effect that it makes everything else after after him. Then that's when it's like. Wow Piano it. It kind of puts things back into perspective. And it makes you know people were guys or Mel's to kind of reposition themselves and say you know what I am an important figure. I am an important piece to this puzzle. I am important person in my household so therefore let me fulfill that role. Let me step in those shoes and walk in those shoes. Because sometimes people have to know that they are needed and that they actually that that the part that they play or their existence just period them having breath in their body their existence is is needed for them to say you know what. Let me step up. Let me do what I do because now I see the effect that it hats on the child. Now I see the effect that it's going to have on my grandchildren or you know on on my ex. Even if those two were together but now they see how if it affects the household which then affects. The family affects the community and affects everything else. And sometimes people don't see the importance that they put it. You know how important they are and so for me. I just I I worked towards just showing guys men. The dads that your your part in this is necessary. So that's what I have to say about. That could put your foot down. Y'All are important too. That's a mean. I say that all the time like no. Y'All are important you know. Of course the MOMS are. But Y'ALL ARE SUPER IMPORTANT. You know we can't. We can't as women as the females. We can't do it for ourselves that Fema no understanding that we end up doing ourselves because we have to but we kept. We really can't do it by ourselves. That's why we end up having to as a child gets older and especially if it's a son as our child gets older older we end up having to find what a male role model a male mentor because we just cannot do it by ourselves. Because we're it's not meant to be a single parenting type of situation period so before I go to the next question. Did you have anything to say following that that was no I agree? One thousand percent I'm with you one thousand percent as far as you know the male Supposed to be you know and and I'm just piggyback on everything that we just technically just said. I mean it's no excuses. I don't believe in that part right there. You know so. I guess the feedback that use. That was saying that you know. Of course it's work to do with everybody. You know. Everybody has some some work to do. But that's definitely the number one things that as a mill you have to. You have to take responsibility and You know of course with everything and anything but you know the head you know you have to week so definitely just disagree assigned so okay. Everything in life is about choices. You know that's something I talk about all the time you know. Life is all all about the choices that you make wherever you are in life. Every single moment in life is due to the choices that you made you know within what you can control of course so has a lot of people now both of course. They were both females and males. Who Make this particular decision that I'm about to bring up next? But as a mel you had a choice to walk away you had a choice to to be a total absentee father and of course like I was saying earlier because I want to make sure I put this out. There is not just you know the the males who walk away or who abandon their parental responsibilities females. Do it as well. I want to ask you. What made you choose because there? Everything is choices. What made you choose to step up and be an active parent. Even though you and your son's mother are no longer together or were not together. Even at the time that you found out that she was pregnant. What made you choose to say I'm going to do what's right that that that goes bye-bye you know. Of course I mean I can only say this for myself but you know the mentors are the people who will you having your life. You know that you seem you know be a positive role model. You know what I'm saying. I mean your life but also it has to be in your heart. You know you have to know it. You know as as a father and of course as a man so you have to be ready for it. You know like okay. You know what this is what I'm going to do and this is what I'm going to stand for. You know Standing strong and moving forward in warning to to do it in passionate about it So it is a is a couple of things so I would say definitely mentor. Ship on who of course is in your life are who have seen in. Ob that example. Then it turns around as well as you know you as a man has to take on the torch and what to you have to have that passion because we don't to just like? Oh well oh well I'm just going. Keep moving and that's not the way to go because it goes right back to being a real man. You know what I'm saying like you gotTA stand strong. You'd ahead you know your delete her so you have to lead and in order to do that. These are of course tools and avenues that you have to just stand up on as a man you know you have to take care of your responsibilities as well as the fact of being an example only taking care of your responsibilities being an example to your child you know So they can see well. You know what? Wow that is doing this doing that. That's that's good. I WanNa be like that when I grow up. Whatever the case may be but I WOULD. I would say that. I don't WanNa jump jump too far to deep foot I hope that your question absolutely. Oh Yeah for sure. Cope goodstuff kits. And so with that. It makes me want to go to this next question. Like what's something that people so thinking of everything you just said thinking of you know all those variations and or variables you know for a better word thinking of all those variables that you have to consider you know the lifestyle that lived the company that you kept you know. Bertha five feather flock together type of thing Having people that you keep around you or that you surround That you end up going around and spending time with you know having them being an example whether it's a good example or a bad example considering all those things what something that lets people may must understand if anything at all me misunderstand of being a single father you know whether it be other Mel's who chose to abandon their responsibility or whether it be the females themselves though the mothers to these to these kids that are out here you know what something that people in general misunderstand.

"Had no idea of how to be a parent and you literally had to figure it out and learn as you go. Great Question No actually see You know I had my parents you know that. That's a blessing My Dad I you know of course looked up to him and I saw him how he led led the household and how he took care of the family. You know you know I mean you know by self took here my mom and my my sisters so I was. You know the I had an example. You know of how it should be but again you know is a whole nother ball game. When you're in that position yourself you have to take on that responsibility and figure out things and find out how things are going to actually happen. You know what I'm saying so definitely to answer your question. Yes in a way of more so of a viewpoint. What's the word I'm looking for like a an example? You know yes. I'll you know I I saw that growing up and experienced that growing up. But as far as you know taking on you know. That's you know that lead of doing it myself. You know as a whole another. You know what I'm saying so I mean it's one thing it's like. Wow so then you really actually experience what it really use. Meaning fatherhood and single being a single parent or just being apparent in general you know saying on how to move forward and how to really make things happen. And that's what is definitely all about so Yeah I hope I answered your question start. Yeah so I set that question up in order to Segue to the next point and see if you can add more to it because with the discussions. I've had with some of my clients the MEL clients. The single asset are out there one of their reasons of Nantes really being involved a being an involved parent To the degree of what they need to do. And where can at least do more out is because they always say or one of the things that they say? That's very common is well. Because I don't I don't know how to be a parent you know. I don't know how I don't know what I'm doing. I don't know anything about diapers. I don't know anything about you know if the child gets sick. I don't know anything about you. Know whatever even those just day to day activities and you know I always have to say well the mother she didn't know either you know and so it's like yeah. You may not have known how to do it. You may not have known how to be a parent. I really don't think anyone you know. Even our grandparents and parents knew how to be a parent until they stepped in those shoes and they also just had to walk the walk and figure it out day by day and so with that you know it always poses a question of like even though you don't you may not know how to do it. That's still no reason or an excuse to just four point. Throw your hands up and say well. I'm not going to be involved at all. I'm just GONNA leave it all up to the mother and mother. She has no idea either. So that was That was the setup to the question. I wanted to ask you. You know if you if you knew if you were ready if you were already prepared and equipped to be apparent you know even being able to take care of those day to day at titties day to day responsibilities. You know when the baby is crying. How do you know how to how to keep them from crying? You know the you know if he needs a diaper change at that point you know if he's hungry the you know the as an upset stomach like no one knows you know until you actually go through the process and so I just you know. It's one of the things I have to work on most mostly with my single dads who are parents to let them know by God. No one has a playbook on being a parent you know have to figure it out and not knowing not being able to be in control of it not being able to say oh. I got this. Confidence is no reason to not fulfill the role. Definitely no excuses you know. The the mail is the head in general and leading the life of you know what he's supposed to do responsibilities in general I feel personally and that's my per topic and that's what I've been introduced to you know throughout the years and things so of my life you know San My father take care you know the family as well as the fact of just in you know positive men mentors Take care of their family. So it's it's no excuse no matter what because they're single mothers out here that definitely go through a lot a whole lot. You know you know and have to figure out schools after figure out you know how the you know how how to go to the Health health insurance all this stuff. All this information That you know a Lotta people look over and don't even think about you know Scheduling breakdown. How's this going to be houses going to work out when you know when the child wants to be in a sport or something? Are you know gymnastics? Whatever at the end of the day you know that mom is truly breaking it down like I mean. This is just surface level stuff. We haven't got to you know super parenting. Thanks so when you know I want to be so deep but you know you gotta explain urging the bees as well as periods. You know like you know that comes up as as mothers have have on them Especially you know strong mothers like yourself. So yeah definitely. Yeah and I'M GONNA I'M GONNA Cosign what said and just to let you know you're not the only one thinking that way and you're not out there by yourself with that with that thought process of that mentality. I also agree that the MEL is the head period point blank and the reason I agree with that is why you'll see everywhere anytime you will hear it. You'll see it when I'm talking about you. Know what. What is it that I do what my platform is about? You know who my primary clientele is that I coach and work with our and I break it down this way and I always put that I. If you look at any of my written copy you can go to my bio. If you ever hear me talk I always say yeah. I'm a I'm a coach or single dads and single MOMS and I put that I because y'all men are the leaders. Y'All are the head and without y'all everything else starts to break down without y'all playing your role and being in place everything else starts to crumble slowly but surely and so you're absolutely right. The MEL is the head. And that's why it's so important for me to not. Just be another advocate of single mom. Single moms you know P- just or only single moms you know men have to you know. Have an advocate for them as well and that is. I'm so passionate about that because I understand how when dad the mel the man is not in his place when he is not present when he's not playing his role or his part. Everything else is not to be right in the way that it was supposed to be not in the way that it was created to be so. I just wanted to say that and let you know. I'm in agreement with you when you make that statement because it's so true and it's because of that statement and that belief of why I am very intentionally when I say I work with single dads and single MOMS because we. We can't do it without each other. Parenting is not a one is not created or meant to be or structured to be taken care of with just one side with just one parent might and you can't so I better start there with that particular point because yeah you don't understand like that is so huge and that's one of the main things that I I work on when.

It's rare that single dads will participate so I am super thankful that you were willing to just kind of join in and and share your perspectives your personal perspective as well. Let's just you know in general. The man's perspective a Dad's perspective when it comes to doing a single parenting thing and when it comes to the CO parenting issues that we all at some point as a single parent may or may not have dealt with so you go ahead and get started awesome. So we're going to start with a little bit of background. Just tell us a little bit about you yourself as your experience and your journey of being a single parent. How did that start? How many years ago Did you have to embark on that journey? Was it something? That you planned. Was it something that caught you off guard kind of tell us a little bit about how you became a single parent well How I became a single parent. I was actually. It was about thirteen years ago. Exactly and I my my son I have a son and he sees a junior super super super proud of him He's amazing amazing. Amazing Young Man So No it was not planned At all come to find out that I was out of town and then I found out you know. My son's mother was pregnant. And in even with that you know information was Kinda surprising you know to the point of even doubts in a beliefs of if it was my son you know so That was really Kinda. You know definitely a challenging thing but with that it was because We was not even together anymore. So we you know Broken up in that came next so it was kind of like wait a minute you know. How do I take this you know? Is this real Do I ignore it You know all those things was going in my mind and my brain. I was reading. I was really really young. You know and so with that. It was just really really. It took me off guard but you know I was grounded. You know with my parents as far as them helping allied through the process But Yeah I was surprised to answer your question and I had to. Of course go through. The you know the parenting life you know for the first time right absolutely and so when you found out that you now had a son in the world. That was a coming soon. What were your. How did you prepare for it? Mike emotionally and then you know with whatever you have going on in your life at that time I do remember you saying that you were young or younger So I don't know exactly what you were doing at that moment if you were in school or if you already working I know that you're DJ. I don't know if you were maybe already on tour. You had just a bunch of things lined up and if you know how did it affect you and how did you prepare? Did you have to make a major life change or a huge transition? Yes actually Before like I found out when I was actually on the road when I was actually in core on some artists so I found out that way. In then I'm it. It shifted You know I thought it was going to shift my whole entire life as far as my. You know my heart's desire in my career. But you know. Thank God that you know I was able to. You know managed the right way But Yeah I was. I was It changed a lot of things drastically as far as preparing mentally I had to get my mind together. You know and refocus on as a man you know refocus as you know growing up and knowing that look this is a different kind of ball game. This is straight strong responsibility day. You're you know you're going to have to hold out if you know. Of course if he's your son in in that and that's the thing I deep down felt that he was you know my son you know so that was the positive the positive thing about it and then on top of that you know. I just knew that I had to of course do what I had to do. As a father you know and of course grow up quickly with knowledge and wisdom and understanding so yes I mean it was. It wasn't easy A lot of things have to be on pause allowed things at the you know. Stop drastically as far as my career. So then of course I can regroup and plan accordingly. You know on how I can be an effective father. You know for my son's absolutely and you said something that I want to ask you about. You said that you had to put certain things on pause and drastically and I do know that. That's one of the things that a lot of us can. A lot of us can can ask not really do trying to think of the best way to say you know when we find out that we have a child coming and especially if we are in the situation of becoming a small parent or You know we see where we're going to be in a co-parenting type of situation and you know when life starts to I guess reality sets in you know we realized that okay man you know. I had all these plans for my life and for myself The Piano Now. Having a child this is going to have to cause some things to stop and a lot of us. We tend to fight that we tend to have a real internal struggle with having to change and shift from what we thought. Our prints were what our plans were for our lives in order to Do do what's necessary to be calm that parent to make those necessary changes to become that parent were to get ready to be a parent and you know when you stated that you had to highs when you made that decision. Was it a struggle for you? Did you have those thoughts or fears of? Wow Mike. I've had. These are all things that I've been working on. These are things that are already in motion. You know I've got on career going things are like. I'm on top of the world to whatever degree bat looks like for you and was there any fear in there. Was there any hesitation of you know but you know yeah? There's this child that's coming but at the same time man this career you know this is. This is everything that I've dreamed out. This is everything that I've been working for. Were there any fears or or Not GonNa say hesitation and but you know maybe we can throw that word in there as well You know when it came to you having to actually say you know what I've got to put things on pause yes Definitely I was I was I was really nervous And then the yeah. I mean I could use that work. Fear it was it was I was. I was scared that I would not be able to complete the goal that I of course wanted to complete and with you know with my career and also just in general life you know certain things of course has stop and you have to put on your you know your pants and keep on moving forward as as a man you know in general because your leader you know and being a man and of course in that in that whole entire state of mind being young you know you know you just had to definitely move forward and do it you know. And that's where you know. You GotTa activate your faith you know saying and push for all I really a lot of things that I desire to do that. I want to do and opportunities that I missed out on you know. Of course you just have to definitely have faith. You know what I'm saying and know that. Hey the time will come in. When that time comes it will all work out. You know In in the right plan because of course there's a plan always you know so Definitely I was a nervous scared but after you know gaining the strength to to move forward I was I was I. I can do this. You know as a man and so I asked this question because again with you being a a a single dad you know. You're there are a lot of people a lot of guys who need to hear from you who needs to hear from your perspective so one of the questions I want to ask is and this is a little. There's a little sarcasm in here but not really 'cause it's a real question so before you know before your son before you were told that you had a child on the way. And then the moment that he arrived. Did you know how to be a parent at that time? Was it something that you saw? You saw examples of. Did you review raising helping raise? Maybe other your nieces or nephews if you have any or any cousins or or Godchildren or was it a situation where you literally.

The SEC Is Suing Kik for Its 2017 ICO
"The drama surrounding the SEC suing the Qin project for its hundred million dollar ICO continues. So the SEC's building a case against Qin on the simple premise that the token was a security on the company behind it failed to register with the SEC and kuenz counterargument to this is that the SEC is stretching the legal Howie test, way beyond his reasonable limits, and they say won't stand up in court. So that's the contention in the coin desk article that I read this morning said that this is pretty much the same approach the SEC is taking against other ICO's. I just wonder how they decide which ICO's to go after since the was so many right? And then they'll having to go back in pig wants to take the court. Maybe they just look the ones that raised the most money, right? If that's the case, the smaller ICO's raise say just a few million. Maybe they'll just be protected. It by strength in numbers may below ignored since the SEC just doesn't have the resources to go after every single one of them in the legal processes, extremely time consuming having said that, though, if the SEC wins the case against Qin will they'll likely be able to use that as a precedent, and then other cases more easily.
Galaxy S10 and more: Our big Samsung Unpacked preview (The 3:59, Ep. 522)
"Tonight or Roger Chang. I'm Alfred Samsung unpacked is tomorrow. And it seems like we've got a handle on some of the big stories coming out. There's a lot of products to impact here. Jerry's leaks point how to at least a mainline galaxy ten phone gal ten plus this rumor budget phone or the galaxy S ten e were hearing and potentially a five G model, and we'll probably hear more about the the foldable phone which this morning. Evan blast put on Twitter saying it'll it'll likely be called the galaxy fold of it's unfortunate that the foldable phone is not the main event here. I really wish was an event for that. I I'm sure a lot of people are more buzzed about the foldable phone than they are about the ten itself considering all the leaks that have happened. Yeah. I think you make a great point. It's a little weird that, you know, the full phone will likely be jammed into the town, then because Samsung will obviously want you to focus on the ten and the phone that you can buy now. But I imagine a law folks will be more captivated by the foldable device. Yeah. I mean everyone's talking about foldable phones this year. This is like the big piece of gadget innovation that. Everyone's been look. For and to see it being tucked away in this kind of meant is kind of you know, discouraging for me. But at the same time, I mean, we'll we'll see how they present. And maybe it'll be there, you know, one more thing, maybe it'll be maybe it will get the spotlight that deserves. But you're right. It's a little weird. They're jamming everything in. We've got a rumors of wireless ear buds as well. There was a leak about their smart watches from from Friday. I mean, it's they've got a really big show. Coming up is deck's still thing decks thing. Okay. I mean, we don't know if they'll talk about it tomorrow, but the last several presentations they've decks has made an appearance. Yeah.
