A Firsthand Look at the Mexican-US Border Crisis With Sheriff Lamb

"Us a scale sheriff lamb of Arizona is a big state. So how big is your territory? How many guys have you got? And what's happened to the collaboration between your team, the county team and the state assets. And the feds since Biden took over. So we're 5400 square miles, which is the size of the state of Connecticut. And we do that with 240 deputies. I have 600 employees because I have a gel and I have 6 million. But we do have how many guys are on patrol at 100. A hundred guys total, 25 at a time on patrol to patrol an area the size of the state of Connecticut. We have a population of 500,000 people. So we've got our work cut out for us that it is. We don't need the federal government to add more work on us by not securing the borders and having to go out and work in the desert. Now, what was it like before under the Trump administration? What was work relations like with HSI CBP and DHS? We've always had really good work in relationships with border patrol, CBP, ice. We continue to have it on the ground level, where we don't have it, is outside of the state of Arizona. It goes cold. And it went cold January 21st, 2021. The day after. The day after they were put in office, we lost all communication from Washington, D.C.. And I've still never heard from anybody high up within the organization of DHS or border patrol. Outside of Arizona. How many times did you make it to The White House on official business under the Trump administration? I came to The White House ten times. And how many times under president Trump? And last year and a half, zero.

Adam Laxalt: Opponents Rely on Out-Of-State Donors

"Your opponent is a radical radical leftist This isn't hyperbole She supported this Minnesota freedom funding where they were actually bailing out people who were rioting and burning down America's cities If that were a Republican like you doing that you'd be in jail right now in a gulag in Washington D.C. This is a radical Don't let her get off with this moderate crap It's all an act Yeah look the only reason some of these races are tight it's because these Democrats have unlimited money and my opponent has for example 90% of her money comes from California New York and they're showering in these small dollar donations And all these things our candidates got so outspent over the summer that they're buying these races They're recasting themselves this centrist a lot of our candidates couldn't respond over the summer and now that we're all up on TV and we're actually able to tell the other side of the story It doesn't matter how much she pretends like she supports law enforcement The reality is all the law enforcement that supported her in 16 when she was a former AG she got law enforcement They all flipped to me because they knew that during BLM and during the last few really tough years for law enforcement she was nowhere to be found And every major national vote where she could have made her third she voted with the Democrats And as she does for the economic agenda for the border policies and so they just are willing to say whatever it takes to win and we need small dollar donors And I know by the way I know it's a tough time And the inflation crisis is hitting our donors Much harder than is their rich donors from San Francisco and New York But they need to dig deep they got to help candidates like myself and Adam Lang sol dot com And these key races

Is There Hope for the Future of America? Dr. Mike Burgess Weighs In

"Hope not that we're going to turn the conservatives will win back the House Republicans will win back the house and hopefully the Senate that at least can put a damper on some of these things and moving forward because I mean, we went through an administration that frankly just does it seem to care. Just your last hot take on that. I mean, what's the feeling right now in D.C.? Well, if the election is about security, if it's about immigration, if it's about border security, if it's about cost of living that has been out of control for months and months and months, I think Republicans have a good have a good shot. There will be a lot of effort on the other side. A lot of time and effort spent on trying to make the election about other things. But look, the president in his 60 minutes interview the other day said, oh, inflation is just an inch up. I'm sorry. It's an inch, but it's a puncture wound, and it's hurting American families. And they're dealing with it every day. Sure, gas prices have come down a little bit because you exhausted this strategic petroleum reserve to artificially depress the price. That's going to run out about the same time that we come into this fall election, but that was that was the strategy to deal with inflation is let's just buy down gas prices with our strategic petroleum reserve, but every other price, every other pocketbook issue is hitting people and sitting them pretty hard. Supply chain continues to be a problem. I don't know about where you live in Georgia but I'll tell you in north Texas. It's not unusual for me to go into my neighborhood Walmart and see a lot of things that are just not available. A lot of empty shelves that has been going out at one point. You said, well, that's a pandemic. President said the pandemic's over. When are we going to start to find the goods we need on the supermarket shelves? So these are these are big questions that people who are going to the polls as follow are going to have to answer if you let yourself get distracted by something that it's not about. And that's what the Democrats are going to try to do.

"Next guest here on the podcast is doctor Michael Berg as congresswoman from Texas who we got to know each other serving on rules committee. We got to know each other in Congress, but we got to know each other the best because we're both early risers and we both would go to the gym in the mornings to get ready for the day and we'd see each other and it started my day off right if there's one thing that I miss about Congress, there's a meaning things that don't, but a lot of things that I do, one of those is being with Mike murders and having him greet me in the mornings as we travel this path together. For those out there, he wrote a book called a doctor in the House. He is a expert on healthcare. He's an expert on what has been going on. He came into this job and provides just a steady voice of reasons in many capacities. And I'm glad to have you on today, Doc. Well, Doug. First off, it is good to see you again. Even if virtually, and it's wonderful, thank you for letting me be on your podcast. And am I allowed to convention of people that you are a pastor? You remember the clergy. So you might pick my brain for medical questions early in the morning, but I certainly sought your help on the pastoral level on more than one occasion. So we sort of bolster each other between the two of us. We perhaps made up one normal individual. We worked on it. And also, and also we're probably some of the few members of Congress who still understood what a glow plug was. That was part of our discussion in the early morning hours. That's right for anyone unfamiliar with the diesel engine at Google. It's an interesting analogy. But especially to D.C. and you came in off camera, we were talking about the fact that, you know, the glow plug is finally lit under the Democrats who've realized now for ten almost 9 months that they had to do appropriations bills by September 30th. Liberty University’s Dave Brat Breaks Down the State of the Economy

"There is a tremendous amount of economic confusion today, actually just going on generally, to help unpack that is a brilliant economic mind, Dave brat, from Liberty University, Dave, welcome to the Charlie Kirk show. Hey, Charlie, thank you. Patriot mobile is great, by the way. I was just up with her team at D.C., your spot on. They're really great. They're doing a good job. They're actually solving the cell phone crisis via conservative approach patriot mobile dot com slash Charlie just to remind everybody. So let's just start with the top line news. There's so much happening here, Dave, the Dow is down 600 points below 30,000 bear market, the economy is all over the place. We have these contra indicators, how would you rate you're a doctor, not a medical doctor, but you'll pretend to be a medical doctor. How would you rate the health of the American economy right now? Oh, seriously, I mean, the economy, right? Which is different than the stock market. That's econ one O one. The economy is a corpse laying on a table. And we've been shoving blood through it in the form of fiscal stimulus spending through the federal government. And 9 trillion on the Federal Reserve balance sheet. So 31 trillion in debt on the federal government side, 9 trade to keep it alive and it's still in a recession for the last 6 months growing at zero. So the economy is a one or a two and then the markets follow, right? So earnings are going to go down, profits are going to go down. We're going into a recession, the fed has said we're going to force a recession to get the wage wage price spiral down, right? Inflation is bad enough, but if inflation makes its way into the wage rates, that becomes what they call an economics sticky. Stinky prices would stay around for years. And so the fed has to end that. So they're engineering a recession and you had it right. We're about ready to find probably another 10% or maybe even 20% down in the markets.

LULAC Decries Gov. Greg Abbott's 'Political Stunts'

"Back to lulac. So they are actually suing Abbott because they think that Abbott's tactic of sending the bus loads to D.C. and where else did he send him, not Martha's Vineyard. That was D.C. in New York. Do you see a New York? So he thought, oh, you are just dehumanizing these people. These Latinos, from Central and South America, they deserve human rights. They deserve to have rights. Well, you know, here's the thing. They are breaking the law, right? So really by that logic, that means that if somebody breaks into our House, what we have to feed them, we have to treat them with respect because they broke into our House. Hello? Well, the situation here though is complicated, I think, because even though you're right, that these are people who are not lawfully in the country, in a way they're not like people who broke into your house because you never collaborated with them to get in the house. Think about it. The Biden administration. Yes, but that would be like, say, our community, HOA, collaborating with them without our consent. Without August. Because that's what's happening. Is that the Biden administration is not asking the folks in the Rio Grande. If it's okay for these people to come over or anybody else. Not to mention the Texas as a state doesn't want them. And so governor Abbott in his sense of saying, listen, you guys claim to be sanctuary cities. Yes. You are pushing for. You know, and the brilliant thing about this is that nobody and I mean nobody is down there at the border, filming these people coming in. So what Abbott did, what desantis did is he's making it an issue. He wants the reporters to report about illegals because otherwise nobody else is reporting about a year. No one knows there's illegals in this country,

Rep. Ben Cline: Dems Are Trying to Roll Back the Industrial Revolution

"Out west, California, you know, all those areas and I remember about 20 years, it's been about a 15 year drought. And there was a main news article the other day said, this is the worst it's been in 1200 years. And I got to thinking for a second, I said, okay, I'm from north Georgia, but math is something I can do, and that puts it at 800 AD. And I thought to myself, well, what was causing it to be so hot in 800 AD? We won the combustion engine, one population that wasn't the cows and methane. And it's just like they don't really think about what they're saying. And I think this is why I mean, look, there are human elements to global warming. I've always said that. But it's not everything that they're making it out to be. But yet it's being the dominant discussion in Washington, D.C.. I mean, is it really is it appears now? I know it was when I was there for a little while, but you as well, it looks like it's ramped up this term that everything is about getting something done because one, they're fearful of losing the house, but they're very committed to this ideological position. Well, and you didn't, you put just the right term and knowledge there when you said destroying the economy, they're trying to roll back the industrial revolution. That is their goal. And a lot of what they have done, the thing about climate change and I'll put quotes around climate change is that it gives them license to interfere in just about every area of the economy. So you could talk about energy, but they also want to talk about highways and transportation. That's why the infrastructure Bill was such a bogus bill because it was mostly Green New Deal. And you want to talk about they're getting in the middle of our national security because they're saying, oh, well, climate change is a national security issue now. So we have to get involved in The Pentagon's budget. Make all of our not just education with the school buses now being being built electric at a cost that is just ridiculous to comprehend, it's everywhere. It's almost a religion for a lot of these people. And they are going to wreck the economy and the country, as you say, if they keep pursuing it to its logical conclusion.

What's NOT Shown in Ken Burn's Documentary on the Holocaust

"I want to talk a little bit about Ken burns new documentary on the Holocaust, not so much for what's in it, but for what's out of it or what he doesn't cover. Now he has every right, of course, to pick his topic and his topic here is the his the American response to the Holocaust. And Ken burns begins, of course, by conceding that we today are kind of commemorate, or at least remember the Holocaust. Of course, it's famous, the famous phrase associated with the holy ghost, which is never again, there's a Holocaust museum right off the national mall in Washington, D.C., kind of remarkable in and of itself. I mean, think about it. The Holocaust did not occur in America. It happened thousands of miles away in Europe, and yet here we are when the museum of natural history, the museum of American history, you've got all this Americana in Washington D.C. and a series of museums that talk about the Wright brothers and now I talk about Albert Einstein at Princeton and talk about all this stuff. American history replicas of American presidents, the. Cutlery and the dresses of American for his ladies, and then somewhat anomaly, the Holocaust museum now, it looks like what Ken burns is trying to do here is say that the American response to the Holocaust was inadequate. And in that he's right. Americans didn't, first of all, no fully what was going on. Second of all, there was kind of an isolationist sentiment that was happening in Europe is none of our business. And it's a European war. I mean, today we call it World War II, but you have to think about it all of the world was not equally involved in this war. To some degree World War I and two were Europeans civil wars.

Effective Action Comes From Texas and Florida, Not DC Republicans

"When we scanned the landscape of American politics, we noticed that there is very effective action taking place at the state level. And I'm thinking now particularly of two states, Florida and Texas, which are really two of the largest, if not the largest red states. And the governors, but not just the governor, the lieutenant governor, the political establishment in the states, seems to be moving on multiple fronts. It seemed initially in Texas that Greg Abbott got a bit of a slow start, at least in this term. And he got battered a little bit because he had a mask mandate on, not for that long. And this was, of course, at the very beginning of COVID and then he decided he thought better of it than the mass mandate disappeared, and it's never coming back. Of course, in Florida, desantis went to kind of full bore and decided we're not shutting the state down at all. So we will deal with the pandemic. We will take the measures we need to. We will provide a treatment that we need to but we are not closing off economic activity and we're not going to stop people from going to churches, none of that. Turned out, I think, in retrospect to be the right call. And desantis has taken leadership in a number of areas. I mean, it's almost like every week or even some cases every day, the guy comes up with something new and just off the top of my head a few initiatives by desantis number one, let's set up an election integrity unit. In fact, I think he calls it an election police unit and they've arrested a bunch of felons who have been voting, so desantis is on that issue. Number two, he is on the issue of woke corporations. And of course, Florida got into a skirmish with Disney. They pulled Disney's special subsidy that allows Disney to operate almost like a city, desantis is all over the so called ESG issue. The issue of, again, large corporate corporate funds deciding that they will only invest in companies that are inclusive in terms of diversity, or companies that are that follow climate guidelines. And decide to say, listen, if you want to do that, you could be my guest, but the state of Florida is not going to be investing in you. We're not going to be putting our pension money where the pension money is being used as a kind of ransom. For companies to move in awoke direction.

Who Will Win the Seat in Minnesota's 3rd District?

"Let's tell people first for the third district is in Minnesota who you're running against and how the race stands. Well, the third district in Minnesota is the western suburbs basically of Minneapolis. I'm running against congressman dean Phillips, a self proclaimed moderate who's voted 100% of the time with President Biden and speaker Pelosi and their failed agenda. And it's a suburban district that actually was Republican for about 50 straight years. And so four years ago, congressman Phillips pulled one out of the hat and brought it over to the democratic side, but it's a district that I think is ready for ready for the Republicans to take back. It's a business centric district with a line of sort of pragmatic independent voters at its core. Along with that conservative base and the two issues that are really impacting obviously all minnesotans and all Americans inflation and crime, the 40% of those in the district to identify as independent definitely believe that conservative principles are the way to attack those two issues affecting all Americans. So I think we're in great shape. This November 8th to get a victory up there in Minnesota's third district and bring conservative Midwestern values to D.C. to represent the great folks in Minnesota. "Know that Kamala Harris keeps telling us the border is secure. It's not secure. When more than 2 million people are coming in illegally. So what Ron DeSantis did, what governor Abbott there in Florida is doing by sending sending all of these immigrants to other locations in the United States, what they're doing is they're highlighting the problem in a way that makes it relevant for those populations. And therefore relevant for those politicians, it's easy to sit in your ivory tower, you know, whether you're on the Federal Reserve, worrying about interest rates or whether you're in government and you're far, far away in Massachusetts or in Washington, D.C. or in Chicago, from the challenge that Texas is facing at the border. It's very easy to say, oh, Texas, you got to just make it work. Well, Texas can't make it work. You know why? They don't have the money. They don't have the infrastructure. Sen. Ted Cruz: Everyday, More Illegals Should Go to Martha's Vineyard

"Ted Cruz says this should not be the end of all of this. He says that every day, every day we need to be sending more and more illegals to Martha's Vineyard, cut 11. To put in perspective, Martha's Vineyard is a town, its population is about 17,000. The median home price is over a $1 million. Let's compare it to Del Rio Del Rio is a wonderful town in Texas. It's down on the Rio Grande valley. It has a population of between 30 and 35,000. In one single day at Del Rio, there were 15,000 illegal immigrants, mostly Haitians, crossing illegally in one day, as you know, I went down to the bridge and I videoed over 10,000 illegal immigrants under that bridge, Martha's Vineyard lost their mind with 50 and the little town of Del Rio and towns all up and down the Rio Grande valley are dealing with hundreds or dealing with thousands. Let me say Sean, I commend Greg Abbott for sending the immigrants to these blue cities. I commend Ron DeSantis for doing so, and they need to do more tomorrow. Martha's Vineyard needs a hundred. The next day they need 200. The next day they need a thousand D.C. says it's a crisis to get 6000. They need 10,000 they need a 100,000. They need 500,000 because Joe Biden has allowed 4.2 million people to come in illegally. And I know these rich billionaires say, well gosh, you people just let them eat cake. You got to listen carefully to his unhinged response over Martha's Vineyard and Washington D.C. crumbling because of a couple of busloads or plain loads of illegals, this is actual kidnapping, you can't put illegals on an air conditioned bus or plane for D.C. or Martha's Vineyard. It's cruelty. It's kidnapping. And this specific case, I think, especially when you look at the immigrants sent to Mark there's vineyard, we have reports that they were lied to, that they were a trick that they were induced with false promises to get on planes and then ship someplace where they weren't told where they were going. That to me is a violation of the federal kidnapping statutes, the legal term of art is in vaguely. As I think most people can kind of, their horse sense can kind of understand. If I roll down and find a bunch of teenagers and I say, look, kids hop in my van, I'm gonna take you to Disney World, and I take them to Busch gardens, you know, and I take them to the old Williamsburg, that's kidnapping. I didn't take the kids where I said I was gonna take the kids, right? So I think that in this case, I give you my word, I'm promising you that's not that's an actual news clip from MSNBC. That's an actual Democrat pundit named Ely mistel, saying if you take kids to Busch gardens after you promise them a trip to Disney World, that is kidnapping.

"Of closing that. You know, I wouldn't have been because I do think under the right circumstances that carried interest if it's done properly should receive capital gains type treatment, but I hear you and I think you asked the right question. You've gone from a potential democratic idea to raise revenue from the proponents and institutional shareholders related to private equity transactions and instead imposed a tax on labor union pension plans and 401k participants. Everyone who invests in the market who has a board of directors alert to ways to improve their long-term return without damaging growth when their stock price is out of line with where it should be properly valuable. Congressman, let me ask you this as a policy question. I think there's a fair argument to be made that over the years if you were to look at buybacks broadly, they have been an overused tool that has been in some cases used to goose compensation, they've been used in context to goose stock prices. It hasn't worked. I mean, there's been a lot of wasted money over the years, buybacks, if you were to look at the total use case of them. The question, therefore, is there anything from a policy perspective that should be done to try to limit them at all? Well, Andrew, again, you ask a good question, but I go back to Warren Buffett's maxim about stock buybacks, then if you can buy dollars for 80 cents, isn't that in the fiduciary interest of all shareholders in a good decision by the board, which is not to say that if management shouldn't be warned that if they imprudently buy stock back, paying too much of a price, they destroy capital. They destroy the growth prospects for the company. And they ought to be punished by the analysts, the owners, and the broad shareholder base of that company. I don't disagree with you, but I think the issue is that we have effectively incentivized buybacks and effectively disincentivized dividend out shares for dividend dividend out shares to investors, for example. So right now, a dividend is disincentive on a relative basis to a buyback. I don't know if you think they're comparable at all. Well, look, companies, we've authorized buybacks more broadly since about 1982 and the return to shareholders over that time between dividends and cash buybacks is basically stayed in the same range. Companies have to decide within their industry and within their shareholder competitive environment. What's better, a growing long-term dividend or occasionally using stock buybacks, when their stock price indicates that it should be used. It's not a routine thing unless the company is perpetually undervalued to that intrinsic value. I still think despite the tax disadvantage of dividends that long-term dividend performance is something that's valued by shareholders, certainly by income investors. And therefore, they both are very good capital return mechanisms for shareholders. And shareholders benefit small and large. I think that investors have seen through attempts to use buybacks as a financial engineering and they embed discounts to those particular stocks I'm with you on many points, congressman, but we were talking to congressman ro Khanna yesterday who represents silicon valley and I asked him specifically if some of his major constituents corporations in and around his district, like the apples, the huge stock biggest purchasers of their own shares have complained to him about this proposed 1% tax and he said he hasn't heard anything. I haven't spoken to them on this issue, but I've spoken to them all the time on other issues and the fact that, frankly, that I haven't heard from them on this issue. I guess to be they're fine with it. This doesn't prohibit companies from buying back shares. This just makes it a little bit more a little bit grittier to buy back shares. So what's the real issue here? At the end of the day, companies can still do that. And if there is true value in buying back their shares, paying a 1% tax, shouldn't really make that much of a difference. Well, Melissa, you raise a good point, of course you're talking about one of the richest, most profitable companies in the world that has been doing it. But two comments one back on Andrew's point. If you look at academic studies done back in 2019 after a record year of stock buybacks in 2018, they didn't find any difference between companies that had compensation plans tied to performance or not that it really was not measurably different, not materially different in the stock buyback plans. But look, just because you can tax something, doesn't make it good economic policy. So if Apple says, well, we don't care. It's just a little bit of grit as you say in the gears. A lot of grit in the gear damages capital formation. And I don't believe this capital allocation decision is the government. And they are through this SEC rulemaking proposal and this tax trying to send a macro government signal from the federal government. Chuck Schumer and Bernie Sanders lead proponents that these are bad and somehow they hurt shareholders hurt capital formation and hurt the American economy and I just don't think the evidence supports that. A congressman final question from me and it goes back to the carried interest piece because it sounds like you are in favor of continuing to have a carried interest treatment. Why are you in favor of it? And I ask because I understand the rationale for a capital gains tax. I know there's a debate about whether there should be a capital gains tax onto itself. Whether we should incentivize capital. But in this case, we're talking about individuals who are not contributing their own capital. So we are taxing effectively their fees, their income at capital income rates, capital gains rates, and we have incentivized people at the highest end in a way that we don't, for anybody else, including yourself, myself and all of labor across the country, but we've decided this one particular industry should be incentivized differently. Why? Well, Andrew, my view is, look, if somebody wanted to reform the definitions in and around on how the carried interest tax treatment could be reformed without throwing the baby out with the bathwater, I'd be happy to look at that. But the bottom line is this is risk capital in putting out large capital investment. And now we have over 15,000 businesses that are privately held that are employing millions of people. So I think it would be very disruptive to that part of our capital system. I understand that. We should talk more about it. I would just say it's yes, we should keep that risk capital in the system. It's not the risk, though, is not at the expense of the individuals who are managing that money. It's the pension money and everybody else's money that's actually at risk. And that's why there's a debate over this very issue. Congressman friendship, we appreciate you being here this morning. Thank you. Now, as you heard, our ongoing conversation about the stock buybacks portion of the inflation reduction act was kicked into high gear with Mark Cuban's tweets, and he's got our number. Literally. Wouldn't you know it? The Dallas Mavericks owner, billionaire investor and entrepreneur called us shortly after that interview with representative French hill to set the record straight. Melissa Lee and Andrew Ross Sorkin were on hand to answer his call. Andrew, we do want to go to Mark Cuban. On the phone. Yes, on the who joined us on the phone. "Of hydrocarbon processing podcast series, the main column. Today we're going to be looking at the continuation of the history of the HPI series. This one, we're looking at the 1970s. Crises clean air, plastic bottles, and the DCS. So this podcast is adapted from an article that is featured in the June issue of hydrocarbon processing magazine. So now the 1970s. In the 1970s were marked by several historical events that affected not only the hydrocarbon processing industry, but nations around the world. The decade witnessed two oil crises that would disrupt the global supply of oil and increase prices substantially. New regulations by the U.S. and Europe ushered in an era of clean fuel standards that are still in transition today. Novel technologies introduced the 1970s revolutionized emissions reductions from vehicles, tailpipes, advanced process controls and automation, and changed the way society drinks carbonated beverages. Now the decade also witnessed advances in catalytic processing technologies, such as the commercialization of catalytic to waxing, wax hydro isomerization, and continuous catalytic reforming. For example, mobile developed the first catalytic to waxing process in the mid 1970s. The technology referred to as the MD DW process utilized the company's zealots to Coney mobile 5 catalyst to increase the cold flow properties of diesel. The invention of the zsm 5 catalyst was actually detailed in the history of the HPI section in the May issue. Now in 1971, UOP began operations on the first CCR platforming unit at the coastal states refinery in Corpus Christi, Texas in the United States. So according to literature, the CCR section enabled refiners to continuously remove Coke accumulated on the catalyst. This allowed lower reforming reaction pressures to increase reform it and hydrogen yields, high reaction temperatures to achieve higher octane levels for gasoline blending, thus enabling lead free gasoline and increased production of aromatics for use as petrochemical feedstocks. Now let's look at two crises within the industry during that time frame. So the 1970s were rocked by two global crises. Those were the oil embargo of 1973 and the oil crisis of 1979. These two events had detrimental effects on oil importing nations around the world, as well as stress the importance of energy security. Now first we'll look at the oil embargo of 1973. So the first oil crisis to affect global economies in the 1970s was the organization of petroleum exporting countries, oil embargo in 1973 to 1974. So the embargo was a retaliation against countries that supported Israel during the Yom Kippur War with Syria. In other words, countries like the U.S., Canada, Japan, and a few African and Western European nations. Now, it banned petroleum exports to targeted countries and incorporated crude oil production cuts which led to a quadrupling of oil prices..

"That atmosphere and clearly like watching it on their faces, how much this meant to them. It felt like an occasion. And then the occasion delivered. And I think that's why I voted that way. But yeah, I think going back to the fight, it would have been 6 to four, either of them or a draw. I think that is pretty much the consensus. And I think depending on who you talk to, someone saw, it seems like everyone saw it a little bit of a different way, but I think draymond had 6 four Amanda. I think so. Yes. I didn't see a mannequin in sex, but I think it's those first three rounds that get tricky. And she outlanded Katie in the tenth man X on the broadcast had in those first three rounds had two one Serrano, I believe. So he was giving two to Serrano, I was looking online and I'm seeing people give all three to Katie Taylor, all those first three rounds are really, it was until that moment that Katie got trapped in that corner and decided I'm going to trade with her man of Serrano. And she went into that corner, looking all fine. She came out disheveled. Confused, bleeding, profusely from her nose. And it was like a complete, it was like, where did you go? Did you go into the time warp? What happened, Katie, holy shit. She went to a place you'll never go again. And it was like, oh my God, it was truly that moment of, oh my God, this is going to happen. And she's falling forward. And I mean, no matter how you view the final scorecard. It is amazing to me how Katie was able to dig out of that. What heart? The fact that she was able to not only come back to her senses, but fight even better as the fight went on. And not touching the canvas is huge. Not touching the canvas because anyone else touches the canvas at least. And in the scorecards, she touches the canvas there. We're not talking about it. I mean, she might even get up, but we're not talking about Taylor winning this fight. Yep. With that being said, this is the biggest case for three minute rounds for women. You know, I've got to go 12. I would argue, if you want to keep it tubing around, you at least got to go 12. 12 and two or four ten. Three. If in the 5th or 7th round, Madison has three minutes. Fight's over. And that's what I was thinking. It doesn't benefit Katie. So in a rematch, we're not going to see three women around. No. The three minutes does not benefit the person without power. The person without power in this case holds all the cards now. Here's the reverse argument because again, if it is going to be three minute rounds or 12 rounds, you're training differently, too. You're training for you. Your body will build up for it. Yes. So that's where I, I get to see a case being made for both of them, right? Because Serrano after unloading on Katie Taylor there in the middle and having your dead to rights, she also gassed out. Yep. So now imagine two more rounds or four longer rounds of Serrano being tired and maybe we're talking about Katie Taylor one that decisively. Yeah. Or Katie might really stop her. I can't think of a scenario where I'm like, okay, like that's that favor Serrano more than Taylor. I don't know. Two minute rounds. If you have rounds 11 and 12 in that flight, Serrano landed Katie in the tenth. Yeah. What happens is Serrano and lens are again 11. And then in the 12th, we have that stretch. Like so many what ifs. I want to know. I just know this is a time. And this, again, we're talking a leaf Fraser. We're talking those classics. This is that moment in women's boxing, where this may not change the rules for this trilogy. Yeah, this is going to change the rules going forward. Yeah. And we're going to go into say, I sell out 19,000 seats. I can do pay per view. I can do all this. There's no reason I should be fighting any other rules than men. Yeah. Because at this point, our pay is creeping. Our venues are sold out our fan bases are equal, if not surpassing 90% of the men out there. Because best believe I've been to legit world championship fight. How for pound fighters? I was at this Loma fight. Whatever lasts lumify, he's not selling out 19,000 at the garden. Some of your best fighters are not selling out 19,000 of the garden. So shout out to Mike Ross in an ESPN amazing article if you guys have time go read it. It's on his Twitter, it's on. I retweet it from ESPN ringside. Breaking down why women don't have three minute rounds or 12 minute title fights. And it's literally everyone has caved except for the WBC. And you can't roll until the four sanctioned bodies link up. And Mauricio Suleiman is the only one holding on to that prehistoric idea, which is odd, because the WBC does a lot of other wildly dumb shit that people say, don't do. This is where you draw the line in the sand. How about your million belts? Yeah. So it's crazy. I think more of the public understands that understands the WBC's role, the more we can put the pressure on them, more we're going to see trains. But listen, change is coming. Yeah. Last thing I will say about the fight is that I know Katie doesn't know a rematch. It doesn't have to want to. Why would you fight anybody else? There's no bigger money. Why would you fight any of those plus for her and all they were talking about? I was like, well, she wasn't as motivated for her other fights, which is why people are thinking she was lost. She just fought someone neck and neck. And she's got to know it. And I did win, but I was in for it for a second. But like, shit. Why else would you find anybody else? No one's giving you that payday. No one's setting up your future. No, now you're the clear a side. Yep, you were like, are you going to take 60 40? Probably cash out at a $4 million payday. Especially with the 60,000 people. In your hometown, you get a little bit of the gate man on his own pay per view. You got pay per viewpoints. You could get 5, 6 mil, tell you a white just got 8 million as a B side in Europe. You can get 5 Amanda can get three. We can roll. That's a pretty cheap fight for what you're going to deliver. I got to say is like, where do I buy my ticket? Yep, I'm going to be on BT sport pay per view. I've been to Ireland yet. I'm going like, oh, sign me up. Cool. I'll get a two bedroom. You crash with me. Let's go. I'll do video for.

"It's not because Jake Paul the fighter, 'cause Jake Paul, the promoter. And how he promoted himself. He promoted himself like he promoted his YouTube. And it works. He was like, I can transition the same logic to this sport, because everyone's independent contract. Just like YouTube. And do the exact same thing. And I was like, lo and behold, it works. And he was like, oh, you know what? You think it's just me, 'cause I did come in with the following, right? I'm going to partner with Amanda Serrano, who doesn't have this following. Who's one of the all time greats in women's boxing, was it selling a thing? Last year, she fought on the equivalent of a combate card. She fought on a card where you can only get it in Puerto Rico. Dominican Republic and like three parts of Mexico. I had to track down this footage so tough. Last year, maybe 300 people watched that fight that I know of. This year, everyone watches fight. And he said, I'm going to show you that I can inject my exact same type of philosophy as a promoter. And make her start. He did. He did. Why can't he do it? When in boxing, we allow Oscar De La Hoya to do it. When in boxing, we allow Floyd Mayweather to do it. I'm not talking to OGs, right? I'm not talking to Aaron. I'm not talking Eddie Hearn to a degree, 'cause his father promoted fight. Like Eddie Hearn's second gen and all this, right? Like Sky Sports everything. Like Eddie Hearn is next level. So he was born into that. So not talking to them. The promoters promoters. But the new wave of TMT, golden boy who's had an incredible stable, why can't Jake Paul be that? 'cause I'd argue right now if Jake Paul side, Ryan García, Ryan would be bigger than he is on golden boy. I'd argue if Jake Paul signed javonte, I have to use done with Mayweather and they've done great with his career. But he's not a viral sensation. He's still like, he's the hood's fighter. That's really what it, like, the hood's winner. But I think Jake Paul could take him and make him different than that. I think Jake Paul, along with his partnership with Steven espinoza showtime, and the keys are running the backend stuff. Who was chief financial officer for UFC, making sure people get their money. I'd argue if you are a boxer 20 through 24, you should probably sign with Jake Paul. If caveat, if you're not signing with top rank, if you're not signing with matchroom out the gate, I might sign with Jake Paul over PVC. Because we're both on showtime at this point. Right. Like Jake Paul will put me on showtime on his cards and that can have my own showtime cards. That relationship is pretty solid. Like if Jake Paul has a stable, I'm sure a showtime would be like, yes, Jake, bring your whole stable here. So I would sign with Jake Paul over PBC and now hey man, I think, you know, I think it's an expectation of like, oh, you're a boxer. You're going to be promoted as a boxer. And flawed logic now. And where Jake Paul has changed the game, is he's coming from the he's like, no, no, no. I gained my popularity at different way. And I'm about to inject this into your sport. So of course you're going to have the people who are very resistant to change. They're very old school. They're going to be the first line going, no, no, no, no, no. You can't come in here. This is the old boys club. You can't come in. You can't come in here with that. What's funny is who's going to want to who's going to want to watch a YouTuber fight. Guess what? Those fights were doing better. Incredible. They were doing, they were gaining more, were they getting pay per view vision? Because they weren't pay per views, but they would like, they're going to generate buzz in the 18 to 25 demographic, which is a demographic that boxing is nowhere close to, but guess what? Everybody loves everybody loves an 18 to 25 demographic if they're trying to sell products. So every time every time that wins, 18 to 25, it's gold. And this is where Jake Paul has come in. I think it's interesting you mentioned Ryan García. There was a point in the night that they were interviewed together. Yes. And immediately, I went, um. It would make sense. Interesting. And if I'm if I'm golden boy, I might be looking at that and going uh oh. Yeah. And like a year's time, I think Ryan Ryan Seinfeld. Ryan was there. And insane amount of fights. And he got to watch that crowd. Yeah. It's one of those things. That was a commercial for Jake Paul. It's one of those things where it's like, yeah, well, we don't like a traditional guy, right? Where we want the traditional guy, traditional promoter. We haven't had that in years. I'm like, you're going to say Don king was judicial promoter. But he kind of was. The closest we had to that now is, I mean, Al haymon's older. Jay prince, take prince isn't the traditional promoter. That was rap a lot records. Yeah. And there's princess. There's a whole document documented persona there. I will talk about this later about the Shakur Stevenson fight and J prince. Man's cool as a cucumber. But really, the new promoters doing something in the business. Who aren't 60 year old plus or from a linear 6 year old plus sorry Eddie urn, but you're like, trust fund kidding in the kid in this. And I love Eddie Hearn as a promoter. But you were grandfathered in. So all the new promoters, J prince came from rap, hip hop, it was just like, yo, I like boxing. I'm.

Nobody likes to see heavyweights get into the octagon and bounce around like dancing bears and i know that that's probably sacrilegious for somebody who's a fan of mixed martial arts to say but we love to see guys get in there and slug it out. That's why guy like mark hunt who was never champion. Could be a fan favorite so sewing sewing sewing. So you're telling me right now ryan clark because tom aspinall's so skilled and he doesn't just plod forward. No i'm trying to understand what you're saying. I was trying to tell you. Use this as no say nelson dc. Nope nope not going to do this to okay. Just because you're talking about amanda new news. You want me to do this. You want to be new. Crosshairs autom- ashman. Oh i'm actually. I'm actually commenting and complementing aspen. All because he is getting lows. He's getting those violent finishes. He's getting the violent finishes that makes us love heavyweights plus the skill because the game has changed. Kale can write. The game has changed now. You need to have the skilled. If you're gonna stay stand across from the rogan's right. We saw that with derek lewis. So he has that type of skilled in order to stay in that fight but he has a finishers mentality right. He's a guy that understands when he smells blood that the sharks have to circle. And that's what we want to see from heavyweights. That's the reason why he can be the knicks star but everybody can't be a heavyweight dc. Everybody can't always feel like they could go out here in dominate and we saw trevor lawrence for the first time and it wasn't fun. This is the first time that trevor lawrence has lost a regular season game in his life. I'm going to repeat that that's absurd high school. It's absurd that's absurd. That's that's that's how good dude has been high school and college never lost a regular season game. But this is the difference between the pros though. Dc this is the same thing like guys fighting amateur and then getting their opportunity against the world's best. Nobody thought the houston. Texans would be world-beater but trevor lawrence marches out there with the jacksonville jaguars who are not a team. That's prepared to win that. Trevor lawrence in just his talent alone can't propel excellence and he struggled he was. He did throw for three touchdown. Some of that was late. And some of those yards were garbage yards. He did have one early on the scene but he three interceptions. The this is not what we're used to seeing from trevor lawrence. And that's why. When you asked me about quarterbacks and you asked me about patty pimm blitz debut who i picked. This dude is accountable for the entire team but he also needs the other ten people on the field to do their jobs to an excellent level in order to win. That's the difference. Patty pimlott or tom espinola. There's some of these young guys that you were talking about. That are now making headway. The ufc they have to depend on one person when inside the octagon. That's not what life is like for. Nfl quarterback so think about that for you to for you to wrestle or for you to be a.

Beer imported by crown imports chicago illinois. Hey ryan we paid some bills. We got some ad reads are his demand are as we continue It's week one in the nfl so the first time we got to see. Somebody's great young. Quarterbacks trae lance justin herbert. We got to see a in new england. and we see trevor lawrence. We saw matt lord. Sorry i forgot their names but rc. When you see these guys for the first time you see the star potential another guy. We got to see for the first time. A couple of weeks ago was patty pimlott and we saw his star potential. So when you look at these young athletes making their debut to the national audience or to the international audience bright. How much pressure comes with that. And who are you impressed with. In those debuts between the you have guys and also the guys made their starting quarterback debuts last week hey well listen. I don't want to be the football guy. That's on the show that says all the things are better right. I don't want. I can't let the football hear me do that. May patty was impressive. And i think for for me. It's about energy right. It's about what you bring to any place that you're in the prefight right. The prefight had us excited. Obviously walking against the octagon and then the potential being shown inside the octagon right the hook finishing the fighting and then have to finish it in the fight being able to come on afterwards and have an energy have a confidence have a bravado that was full of appreciation right patty pimlott p- didn't come on in and make you feel like he. He was entitled to that win. He didn't make you feel like he had never gone through anything for him to say you know what with the adversity that i've dealt with not only in the fight game but adversity i've dealt with in life. I was prepared for this moment. And so now you not only have this captivating dude that has this haircut. Like mark davis. Who's do owner of the las vegas but you gotta do get goes out. Talks the talk. Walk the walk and then show some humility afterwards. Says you know what i'm just like. Yo i'm human. I've had to deal with things. But because of the stuff i've dealt with. I'm ready for this moment. And i think that's what got me more excited than anything. We've seen dudes walk into the octagon. In debuts right and be great we've seen them answer all the questions that we needed them to answer when they showed up but it was everything that goes along with patti pimlott. That's important because now that's where the fight game is gone. The the fight game is no longer you just get to get an octagon and do what you do. People pay money for the right if people were paying. We're paying money for that. It wouldn't matter about brand. It wouldn't matter about social media what this dude is and what he can be is the next star of the ufc and we all know that dana is looking for stars. You know what i love about. Patty pimlott was that he got hurt. His fight right so it looks like oh my goodness. The plans are going to be spoiled. Then he wins in the fascinating did but then he goes on the microphone and he puts himself on the same level as defense but he put himself above the other prospects because he called. nobody out. I'm going to be the guy and not everybody understands that you have to do those types of things to really separate yourself from everybody else because we've seen a ton of people and young athletes make impressive. Having to talk with michael bring in the octagon who is a wordsmith himself handle himself the waited he did leave the dancing singing. How you like me now. Going into the back and dropping dimes over and over again was absolutely perfect but ryan. I gotta be honest for as impressive as patty. Penalty was kind of left apex day. Not about eating thomas. i'm sorry. I'm sorry that i'm a big guy that likes to big guy right because guess what the vast majority of people like the big guy. Hurricane ida took us off for a little bit you held us down with ask dc. But now it's time to get into some of these real real kim in me. You know what my man is. Good to have you back. I'm happy you and your family got through everything safe to all the good people in louisiana. I hope you guys are bouncing back with coming up on this show. We will discuss prospects in sports. Because we saw quarterbacks make their debut last weekend we also patty permanent weeks ago. We never got to discuss that. Then we'll talk about my guy. Gabled steve sin signing with the wwe was that the right move. And lastly are c-. Are we going to see anderson silva vs. Jake paul would world. Did you ever think that would even be a possibility to see anderson j. Paul i before anything else ryan. We gotta talk about your boy. I mean this dude. Cada mcgregor is at the vm. As over the weekend and he gets into a fight on the red carpet with mgk. Look i gotta be honest which. I barely know who. Mg k. is. So when i hear takata mcgregor's funded in g k. I cannot believe it. rc lemass you. When you look at things from the outside and we watch com gregor all the incidents you talk about. The gimmick has conor mcgregor lost control of the gimmick right. Is he now living. The character is getting the best of it. Why don't necessarily know if the character is getting the best of conor mcgregor because this character is who conor mcgregor is. It's what made him. It's what people fell in love with when he was winning fights but see. That's the difference when he was throwing cranes buses and when people were on that bus and they were hurt oh where he was fighting in bars in ireland. A lot of these things were happening but he was still winning fights and so he had kind of turned into the bully right. What he started with started like petty has started. It was a guy you rooted for. He was fun and he was braggadocious. But then when he got into the octagon he put people to sleep. Those things have changed now and when those things start to change sodas our perception of the person. I don't necessarily know if conor mcgregor is now any different vinnie ever was and i'm gonna tell you this. Dc because this is what. I've learned whether you're a fighter whether you are a football player whether you are an actor and entertainer a rapper or whatever it is all that money and success does to you is amplify who you truly are right. If you're a dude that would fight on red carpets. If broke you don't for sure array corporates if you've got money because now you can post bail and so one thing i do. This machine gun. Kelly can not beat up conor mcgregor so it was more than anything for everyone. And this is what. I'll tell you about machine gun kelly if you will know a little bit about him. He's from cleveland. He's a rapper. But the thing that he's most famous for dating megan fox. And so you don't want to mess up. That pretty face fooling with conor mcgregor owner red carpet. Conor mcgregor has to think about this though. Who does he want to be. Dc who does he want to be perceived as because to a fighter like you you think. It's a gimmick but to people who are now paying so to watch. Jake paul fight. May being character is more important than being a champion. You know we'll do crazy thing. About mcgregor is is is when i say that i mean the billionaire right lull run and fancy cars money because the reality is it's the wwe right you get a character. Your character could be the billionaire. Vince mcmahon right vic man is the evil boss. Would vince mcmahon when he hits that curtain in the bat he lets go of the evil boss. any becomes vince. Mcmahon the ceo and chairman of the wwe. It's the same. With ric flair when ric flair was ric flair stalin in profiling kiss the girls and make them cry but when rick flair would hit the curtain in the back he never stopped he continued to live as ric flair in ultimately debt was his undoing. Right that's why sixty saw ric flair still wrestling because he had spent so much money. Need live such a wreck was life. It wasn't it wasn't sustainable. Conor mcgregor is the fighter. Conor mcgregor also lives big life in. That's when i asked. does that. give mccaslin over. Taking who conor mcgregor is as a person now when it comes to convert mg k. Fighting mg k. Can't beat conor mcgregor kinda mcgregor. Exactly max kellerman talked about the to fight kelly. That's easy right easy. Work for countable gregor but only did connor approach machine gun kellyanne a few choice words to sail obligate makita gene kelly and these words absolutely.

If broke you. Don't for sure ray corporates if you've got money because now you can post bail and so one thing. I do this machine gun. Kelly can not beat up conor mcgregor so it was more than anything for everyone and this is what i'll tell you about machine gun kelly if you will know a little bit about him. It's a gimmick but to people who are now paying money so to watch jake. Paul fight may being character is more important than being a champion..
