Democrats Underwhelmed With Latest Jobs Report
"You know we discussed at length yesterday on the show How the big Moe and it's not it's not an obese guy named mo but the big mo momentum is a real thing in politics And the big mo momentum is going against Joe Biden There's not a single sphere Joe Biden is touched Immigration economy healthcare education whatever it may be that he hasn't destroyed and decimated And it's all starting to turn right now This is not good news for the country The jobs report came out today They were expecting 500,000 jobs produced The number they got 210,000 for the liberals listing that's less than half They were people on MSNBC confidently crowing this morning in case you missed it which you probably did because no one actually watches MSNBC outside of the racial madhouse show But they were confidently crawling this morning Oh we're going to get 600,000 jobs Yeah not so much
Dan Bongino: Republicans' Message Should Be 'Get up and Go to Work. No Excuse.'
"Why is none of this working Why is Joe Biden's approval at 36% Why is consumer sentiment Positive consumer sentiment down to 67% from 71% Why is right track wrong track The overwhelming majority of Americans saying wrong track right now Why is all this happening Because you have a supply curve you have a demand curve in the economy that meets it right Jobs are created when companies invest in their business When companies invest in marketing and business and quality control and they create quality products people want None of that's happening right now Why Because companies can't get their inputs because of the supply chain crisis They're having a hard time finding workers because Democrats are incentivizing people to stay home and not work through this bevy and portfolio government benefits you can make by not doing anything sitting on your ass Get up get up and go to work Why isn't that the Republicans message Go to work if you can There's no excuse
Joe Biden's Approval Rating Is 36% Because Nobody Trusts Him Anymore
"The big Moe's turning against them Another reason the big mow is turning against Joe Biden and momentum is going against It was not just because of his dreadful policies But nobody trusts him anymore Folks the guy I can't say this enough He keeps telling his autobiography autobiographical story and it's in the fiction section of the story He just keeps making stuff up every day So it's bad enough that his portfolio of policies is failing based on every available metric Labor force participation inflation consumer sentiment GDP growth It's gone down since he's gotten to office based on every single available touchable feel about metric Joe Biden is losing But Democrats usually run cover for Brad Democrat presidents when their policies blow it So why is Joe Biden at a uniquely low 36% right now approval rate Well not just his policy suck but the guy can't get out of his own way when he's telling his own life story and nobody trusts the guy anymore Listen folks one of the most damaging political narratives out there is a political narrative that changes a preexisting thought about who you thought a candidate or a person was You know it's why I make the case to you during the 2016 campaign that all stuff I came out about Donald Trump You know everybody had already heard it before They'd heard it before It didn't change a preexisting narrative about people already heard it before They already understood it all Think about Biden as Biden ran in 2020 against Trump as a stability agent As a guy who was going to level off these emotional peaks and valleys the country was going to under Trump That's what he ran on there He ran as like a man of integrity as a lunch bucket Joe was a Scranton kid Folks the reason this guy's approval ratings are 36% is because none of that's
Joe Biden Begins National COVID Strategy Originated by Gov. Ron DeSantis
"So the ironic part about this whole thing is Biden keeps trashing every Republican out there like Ron DeSantis who are doing things that are actually effective Florida's unemployment rate is super low The infection rates from COVID have taken a nosedive hospitalization rates because Ron DeSantis thought it was a good idea set up monoclonal antibody centers That's funny You have to trashing to Ron DeSantis It doesn't work that pseudoscience witchcraft voodoo Sounds kind of like Joe Biden's doing the same thing Here's guy Benson on Fox News last night addressing exactly that point Check this out Part of what the president talked about today was this doctor Nicole Safire also familiar to our Fox family tweeted today Part of President Biden's winter COVID plan is forming surge teams to provide monoclonal antibodies in other treatments to people infected It's a great move One that was met with criticism when it was done months ago by governor Ron DeSantis guy Yeah you got to imagine governor desantis is sitting down there in Tallahassee or wherever he's traveling in the state and saying you know that seems like a really good idea Maybe someone should have thought of that Of course that's precisely what he did in the state of Florida He was criticized for it First they called it sort of quackery It wasn't going to work It wasn't proven science and then more doctors came out so actually this is a very effective treatment for COVID And so the next allegation was that somehow this was corruption on the part of governor desantis that he was pay for play or involved in something like that That did not pan out at all And now you've got the president incorporating precisely this exact same idea into his national strategy his battle plan for the winter against COVID and it looks like governor desantis down in Florida is emerging again as
Botswana Health Director Reiterates That Omicron Is Mild
"Botswana which is having a little bit of a problem with the coronavirus They've had a few cases of aron So they'd be good people to ask right Well here's Botswana's health director Pamela Smith Lawrence talking about cases of a crime now You've heard in the media from everyone else Oh my gosh I'm a Kron reverend Kane Jim Put your mask on get your facts back deep Get your vaccine and shut your pie hole shut your soup cooler Say nothing else There it is reverend Kane otherwise known as Joe Biden Joey bots Here's Botswana's health director Like yeah we've had a few cases of not that bad A couple people had symptoms some people had no symptoms at all I bet you don't hear this anywhere in the media outside of this show and like Fox Maybe newsmax and OAN two That's it You want to hear it anywhere else Because it doesn't contribute to the ongoing fear campaign Here check this out Listen to her own words I don't total of 19 of these cases including the first four 14 or foreign nationals and we only had 5 who are local local residents and citizens So far what we are seeing from most of the context of these first 19 cases most of them have tested negative And we are continuing to follow them up during their quarantine period to say on completion of quarantine have they actually incubated the virus But so far all the contacts have tested negative and most of the cases themselves really nobody had any symptoms One or two people might have had a few mild flu like symptoms but resolved in one or two days At the rest really nobody has been
Justice Clarence Thomas Asked the Most Important Question in Abortion Case
"He was clarence Thomas asking the key question yesterday In front of the court and this is why he's the goat the greatest of all time Clarence Thomas says listen you know when you get a case in front of the Supreme Court and you're talking about the Second Amendment I know exactly what we're talking about The text is right there The right to bear arms It's right there I can read it We get a case about the Fourth Amendment I know what we're talking about It's right there in front of my face I can see it I can read it He says why is it when we're talking about abortion You all can't seem to clarify what exactly we're talking about What we're supposed to be looking at what we're supposed to be reading it's almost as if you guys and ladies are making this thing up And the attorney had no response at all other than a word salad A bunch had thrown together phrases hanging participles in whatever trying to explain away why she can't indicate anywhere in the constitution where a so called right to abortion exists Jim queue up for me cut to This is clarence Thomas asking specifically the question of the day what are we talking about here You can't seem to point to a right to abortion anywhere in the constitution Check this out I understand we're talking about abortion here But what is confusing is that we if we were talking about the Second Amendment and exactly what we're talking about if we're talking about Fourth Amendment I know what we're talking about because it's written it's there What specifically is the right here That we're talking
Dan Bongino: There Is No Right to Abortion in the Constitution
"So we had a couple of guests on yesterday Margot Cleveland and Jenna Ellis both lawyers talking about this landmark case in front of the Supreme Court The dobb's case on abortion This is a real opportunity for us folks This is a real opportunity for us to not again figuratively but to literally save lives And I mean lives by the millions This is a real opportunity here And I'm hoping that the last thing legacy of the Trump administration won because there could be another one that the lasting legacies that transformation of the courts and Supreme Court Folks who worked their entire lives for this I'm just going to be candid We can not be let down by Kavanaugh Gorsuch and Coney Barrett This is a clear cut case roe V wade was a terribly decided judicial decision even leftist lawyers will admit it There was no fabricated penumbra There is no such right to abortion in the constitution If we win this case to be crystal clear don't listen to the leftist hysterics out there who lie to you all the time because they think you're stupid Abortion will not be illegal If roe V wade is overturned it will be turned back over to the states You will have 50 states with 50 sets of voters in those states the way the country is supposed to operate deciding politically what's best for them what's best for their population and what's best for abortion Excuse me for the reproduction and the right to reproduce The left calls it reproductive rights but it's not reproductive rights in their terminology It's the right not to reproduce That's what they want You want that liberal states That's your
Miranda Devine: The Media Is Still Avoiding the Real Hunter Biden Story
"This has been going on since the beginning of Joe Biden's career really I mean he's the center of the Delaware He won the election when he was 29 years old And from then on because Delaware is this unique state in America where so many corporations are headquartered there because of its tax laws but mainly the opacity of its corporations law He had really a lot of power in the corporate world and he was also very powerful positions on both the legislative affairs committee and the foreign affairs committee And he was faced by these corporations and these donors gave him lots of money and also other things such as grace and favor jobs for family members especially hunter And so Hunter Biden was given inflated salaries and from that money very early on straight out of college he was expected to pay bills for the rest of the family And so there were stories along the way and even The New York Times have stories I mean Byron York did some brilliant work which I thought in the book on Joe Biden sort of real estate purchases which were very dodgy back in the day MBNA which is a credit card company in Delaware board a house from him a lot higher than comparable houses nearby An executive of theirs And so there was there was quite a bit of reporting done not enough in my view But I think that influence peddling is a Washington disease
Miranda Devine: Joe Biden Financially Benefited From Hunter Biden's Businesses
"Cabal Has anyone from what may I hate to turn mainstream media because they become sadly not mainstream But if anyone from what would old times be considered the mainstream media right Has anyone reached out to you I mean you put it together for them in this incredible book footnoted research ironclad case about all the issues going on in Hunter Biden is anyone reached out to you number one and second do you have any doubt anymore that Joe Biden's business interests after baby linsky and what you found on the laptop or intermingled with hunters Well answer that second question first Absolutely not They were bank accounts that were they shared There were debit cards they shared They were there were bills of hunter of Joe Biden that hunter according to emails hunter was expected to pay thousands of dollars in maintenance painting a few property in Delaware and so on Air conditioning and AT&T bills and so on So look I think it's clear that he was financially benefiting from hunter's businesses And also the fact that they're so much documents about the cut that he was supposed to be getting 10% for the big guy and so on As for the other media I mean no no one's called I think CNN is they're ignoring it but I wouldn't say they should be ashamed for having centered and ignored and introduced our reporting back in October before the election when it actually
Miranda Devine Exposes the Kind of Father Joe Biden Actually Is
"I thought it was the most important book of the year and I was not being hyperbolic about that So a couple things about the book and the Biden family and just the disturbing revelations in there You know Miranda my takeaway from the book is about Joe Biden himself who puts a guy like this Hunter Biden his son who he knows well it's his son obviously What kind of guy puts a kid like this Hunter Biden in this central position in these mega business deals with corporations and businesses all over the world knowing he's got this troubled history It's just it speaks to Joe Biden as much as it does to hunter's character You've absolutely nailed it Dan that's the overriding impression that I had was what kind of a father puts the sun with these addiction problems in front of gushing torrents of unaccountable cash And that's what he did at Hunter Biden is even admitted that in his memoir earlier this year beautiful things in which he talks about that money that came from burisma was like play money He said it was $83,333 a month And he didn't have to do anything for it and he said that really that was what led to him falling off the wagon and really indulging in his crack addiction And I think when tens of millions of dollars of ill gotten gains are coming into your bank accounts And you have an addiction problem What are you going to do And I mean it destroyed his marriage He had a really lovely wife and three quarters girls And he's like just unraveled from there on So and the other thing about burisma was that as soon as his father stepped down from being vice president was Margaret out obviously Hunter Biden's 83,000 plus salary from burisma went down to half that much It was cut in half Just crazy
Jenna Ellis Reacts to Supreme Court Abortion Case Arguments
"As well So Jenna the Dobbs case today this landmark abortion case I had Margot Cleveland on before I spoke to Michael Knowles about it Your perspective today on what you saw what I saw and empty left that has no good argument for terminating the life of infants in the world not one Not one at all No And the council for the Jackson Planned Parenthood it was just awful where she kept saying that viability makes the most sense Well scientifically what actually makes the most sense the least arbitrary line and the biological line is that life begins at conception period If you draw the line anywhere else then it is arbitrary It's movable and then you talk about different weeks and so forth I thought that this solicitor general from Mississippi should have raised that point Overall he did really really well And clearly I think the last particularly with justice Sotomayor was simply a test new member support That was awful And she tried to make the point well if we just if we overturn this case then we're just making a political decision This is going to be the optics or bad And that's not a good argument And I thought justice Kavanaugh was brilliant when he brought up all of the cases that were overturned because the precedent in those cases that was overturned was just bad precedent That's always been the standard of the Supreme
Jenna Ellis Analyzes Supreme Court Justices During Abotion Case Arguments
"Jenna Sonia Sotomayor came in I don't even know It's so unprepared or I don't know She's not bright I mean I don't want to attack the woman's intellectual capability but the questions were so ridiculous and believe me I'm trying to I am an avid supporter of life I am a pro lifer through and through But I really tried to listen calmly and objectively her questions were bizarre I mean at one point she seemed to imply that the child in the womb feeling pain was not an indication of life And I'm thinking to myself wait what Did she just say that So you have a child in the womb recoiling in pain from a procedure but don't worry that doesn't mean that child is a lively That's kind of a ridiculous thing to say in it It's insane This is the same left that if you found one cell on Mars would claim oh my gosh we found life right They're so full of it This is them trying to bend themselves over backwards to not answer the moral question which is what justice Alito got at very well The moral question of when life begins And it is philosophical of course but just to say that viability is somehow more workable and that there is no advance in science since 1973 Clearly factually false And no the left doesn't have any arguments And justice Thomas raised a very good question He asked okay what right is really an issue here Because the left is talking point saying that there's a right to abortion is absolutely false that is nowhere in the text of the constitution or even implied And so what right is really an issue And what counsel for Jackson health argued is that this is a right to liberty that's found in the Fourteenth Amendment and he went back and it was so brilliant because he said okay so at the time that the Fourteenth Amendment was adopted what state constitution or statute actually provided for a liberty interest in abortion The answer of course is
Michael J. Knowles: A Thought-Experiment for Liberals on Abortion
"You know this is a thought experiment that I give to leftists a fair bit very similar to the question you're asking It's not even just a thought experiment It's a simple risk analysis I'll say okay so you're a 100% certain that a baby who was just born your 100% certain that that baby is alive and that baby is a human being Okay And then the week before the baby is born you're still basically a 100% sure Okay call it 99% Okay And then a month or two before what are you You're 70% and then maybe three or four months before what are you 50% 40% 30% Now listen you and I know that the baby is alive from the moment of conception We know the baby is a human being is not a platypus and he's not a giraffe He's a human being But okay let's ask the leftist All right how confident are you that one month after he was conceived That baby is not alive in that baby is not a human How confident are you at the moment of conception If you are even 5% 10% uncertain maybe it is a baby Maybe it is a human Maybe it is alive Are you really willing to take that kind of a risk since roe versus wade 60 million babies have been killed in this country This case it is not an overstatement to say this is the most important Supreme Court case that we have seen in our lifetimes that we will see in our lifetimes Countless millions of lives rest on how this case is going to be determined And as you mentioned earlier on the future of the conservative movement if the conservative legal movement can not defend this most basic thing we lost marriage We lost the definition of sex We lost Obama We keep losing But if we can not defend life if we can't overturn this egregious roe versus weight decision then the conservative legal movement is useless
Michael J. Knowles: Liberals Can't Articulate Their Arguments, Resort to Screaming
"You But you put it very well which is you don't need to be a rocket scientist to recognize that it's wrong to kill a baby that the constitution does not defend or articulate any right to kill a baby and that it's time to overturn it You don't need to have some advanced degree You don't need to have all of the PhDs and all the various accolades and credentials that the left seems to value so highly and you don't need to use lots of complicated jargon And it's pretty simple We actually can know the difference between good and bad and right and wrong and true and false And I think that the reason that the left tends to get a lot angrier and screeching gal and you remember after Trump won they started screaming no and they all went viral because the value literally screaming at the sky yeah That's right And the reason that they get so angry is because they can't see the reality They can't articulate their position If you understand an issue then you can just state your opinion and you can say Tom lady and you can be forceful but you don't need to scream and yell and pull your hair out But if you know that you're on shaky ground as the pro abortion people are in this case specifically And as the leftists are generally then they have to get emotional and they get frustrated because they can't articulate their views There were two demonstrations outside the Supreme Court today There was a group of pro lifers specifically there was a group of young pro life women and they were singing the national anthem and they were waving American flags and they were praying and they seemed very grounded and reasonable And then there was a group of pro abortion women who were screaming and yelling and literally taking abortion pills You just look at those two groups Dan which one do you think has it more accurately
Michael J. Knowles Reacts to Mississippi Abortion Case Arguments
"And the pro life lawyers did a great job And I think you said it very well This is the issue A lot of times whenever a conservative makes any kind of argument you'll hear the liberals and the squishes push back and they'll say oh is this really the hill you want to die on And first of all I never intend to die on a hill But when it comes to this issue if there is going to be a hill to die on it's got to be this one because this is the most basic issue it is literally about life and death And as you point out if we don't stand up on this issue then conservatism doesn't make any sense America doesn't make any sense if we don't stand up on this issue In the Declaration of Independence Thomas Jefferson predicates the country on the unalienable rights given to us by our creator those rights to life liberty and property You can't have a reliability in the pursuit of happiness might be understood as property You can't pursue happiness if you don't have liberty You can't have liberty if you don't have life It all comes down to life Go through every bite that you have in the Bill of Rights every legal right you've got in any state in this country none of them matter whatsoever if you don't have the right to life And as we have seen as we heard the lawyers discussed today the roe versus wade decision was incoherent Justice Thomas asked very well He said so is this about the right to abortion Where is that You asked me about the Second Amendment and I know where that is But the right to abortion where is that And the pro abortion lawyers ran their mouths on a filibuster basically Just tried to say a bunch of words to make it seem like a coherent sentence They have no answer There is no right to abortion in the constitution It's one of if not the single most egregious error in the history of American jurisprudence and its long past time we
Steve Deace: There Have Been Two Constants About COVID Since March 2020
"Very few people have covered coronavirus the political implications epidemiologic ones Better than you you've been a very sober mind on this And of course that's made you a target You've written a few great books on in Fauci and bargain and others You know is this something like Groundhog Day again with a crime here I mean how many times are we gonna go through this It's the same cycle Steve over and over again A new variant emerges by the way which happens with respiratory viruses often This is nothing unusual right We don't get the data We're not sure what the R nought is the fatality rate the case fatality rate the infection but we don't know what even The media goes crazy gets everybody losing their minds Draconian lockdowns ensue none of it works Everything kind of dies down but there you go boom another variant appears I mean why not summing that up accurately You are summing it up accurately And what's particular sinister about this one there's actually a report out in just the last hour that shows that this new variant was actually detected in Europe that they've actually traced it to Europe weeks ago And it was just not reported to the medical community or to the world until the medical community in South Africa flagged it that it was brought to them actually And they're the ones that flagged it And then they got repaid of course by being quarantined from the rest of the world what's really sinister about this is if you look at the timing of this you know it does seem to coincide right around the moment that South Africa said to the WHO and to Pfizer that they were not going to sign up for their recurring every 6 months three months 90 days We don't know yet We don't even know what fully vaccinated means now because we don't know how many times we have to keep boost during you It is kind of funny that shortly after they said we're not going to do that We're going to opt out of that Shortly thereafter lo and behold here is this new variant from South Africa and they need to be cordoned off and quarantined from the rest of the world Then there have been two constants Since this began on March 16th 2020 there have been two constants Number one whatever you're not allowed to talk about right now on Facebook or Twitter will be proven true in 3.9 months later That's number one Number two there can be no control groups Because control groups give us observational truth They bring us to objective realities okay And so that's why we don't have random controlled studies on masks That's why they don't want last year We had to ignore Sweden when they didn't lock down and everybody else did We went from being told for 20 years by left the blue check marks we got to be like Sweden to now they're like Sweden rectum barely knew I don't even know where to tell the sweetness It's like okay And then now it's the same thing on vaccine This is why everybody has to get even the naturally immune like me I had COVID back in May It was awful for about a day and a half It felt like there was a entire iron on my chest okay But now I have natural immunity No there can be no control group that shows that maybe our vaccines don't work or have waning efficacy or lo and behold might even be causing three antibody dependent enhancement the variants to become worse And so all of this has been about no control group and things that you are not permitted to say until certain times Those are things that are not about health and they're about power and control Those are authoritarian
Steve Deace: The Number One Driver of COVID Surges in the World Is Vitamin D Deficiency
"That's exactly right Nobody is lobbying on Capitol Hill on behalf of vitamin D seasonality If your name's Matthew McConaughey or Jennifer Garner and you get an audience with Anthony Fauci as a big Hollywood star and you ask him about vitamin E he tells them the truth and even admit hey I take 8000 IUs of vitamin D a day Well you know last year when everybody was locked down instead of sending him checks that just crushed our inflation rate why do we send everybody at vitamin D pack Because the number one the number one driver of COVID surges in the world is vitamin D deficiency The number one driver That's because that's what is connected with the seasonality here But we would do things like this if it was about healthcare And it's not And the mask mandates were to condition us for vaccine mandates The vaccine mandates are to condition us to hand over our bodily autonomy because once we've handed over our bodily economy we are essentially now handed over That's what this is about This is about a mass acquisition of power and control We are seeing hospitals now that are losing lawsuits about Ivermectin who are then still after the patient they're going to chase last weekend where a guy got Ivermectin and walked out of the hospital A few days later they are still appealing it How dare he survive They're still appealing He's not setting a president that they have to do this There was a case in Wisconsin where the family said we'll bring in our own doctor You don't even have to put your hands on it and the hospital still said we won't let you do that even if you bring your own doctor in and then the guy died Whatever This is insane We're in control as I
Media Gives Joe Biden a Pass Despite 100,000 More COVID Deaths Than President Trump
"It So back to what I was talking about before the grotesque disgusting abhorrent media coverage of coronavirus and how the left in their media acolytes butt kissing losers The sycophantic slobs in the media How they've taken advantage Of this disease which is deadly the many people would preexisting conditions people who could be older How they've taken this disease and weaponized it You know when Ron DeSantis and the state of Florida had their annual every year sadly seasonal spike in the summer where people go indoors And it's easier to spread around The media had a field day Oh that's Santa's Ronda said this uniquely unqualified but what's odd is now that Joe Biden is now lording over the presidency with 350,000 dead since Joe Biden was inaugurated which is a 100,000 plus more than all of the people that died in 2020 when Trump was the president despite not having Therapeutics or anywhere close to the detailed knowledge we do now to the mechanics and the virology of this virus all of a sudden Joe Biden gets a free pass by the media Why is that Because the media are unprincipled losers Their purpose is activism They're one job is supposed to be as stated on the masthead Their job is supposed to be to get you the facts and data so that it informed American electorate can make the proper decisions moving forward for a more healthy constitutional republic That was the original intention of the media and making sure enshrined in the constitution as the freedom of our press Well they have taken those freedoms which I believe we need and should respect But they've taken those freedoms and they've as I say all the time that involves the freedom to be stupid as well and they've taken advantage of it at every single

"Dan Dan Lok you know So just to tie up that last story and tell you what's coming up next So yes we are now living in no longer in a constitutional republic It's clear as day We now have politicized law enforcement and intelligence agencies rigging elections We know what happened with the collusion hoax in 2016 somehow Donald Trump was managed to overcome it And then in 2020 where there's now no longer a doubt the intelligence community worked with the media to not only suppress the information about Hunter Biden's emails and his dad and the corruption and the big guy and Tony bob alinsky was their business partner who came out and said hey this guy was involved in this But they actually attacked anyone else who tried to get the truth out there that the Hunter Biden emails were real We now know that that's a fact Speaking of elections the Arizona audit there's going to be a hearing on that today Now KJ which is an outlet out there Got a hand I got their hands on some of the documents that are going to be presented And there's a couple of interesting interesting pieces of that I want to put out there but I want you to understand the difference between this first because the media doesn't Folks there's a difference between validity and reliability The media is suggesting that oh no no now we know the race was a 100% valid because the vote tallies were huge pretty closely to what the vote tallies were determined to be in the end in Arizona even after the audit But that's not the full scope of what the audit said It said listen although it may have been reliable the numbers the vote tallies they may have been reliably wrong They leave that second part out You can't leave the second part out It's like weighing yourself on a scale that's always ten pounds off.

"You exist dot com where people could go on there and they can post a picture and like sheriff story of their loved one whoever it was their significant other or their kids or their dog and it was absolutely just heart in mind. Bending i mean it was just a incredible experience for i think for the fans to be able to have an outlet and have a song. They had the words to say and to share someone but for us like looking at those stories of just a mike. We wrote that song just because we really liked it and we wanted to say something to our fans that we are just a phrase that. Dan had written down on his phone he said in his everyday life. Glad you exist and when you bring a title like that up in the room like that. This is not an easy thing to like. Yeah that sounds like the perfect bluebird moment is glad you exist so to have both where it's just it. Truly is my blowing to think that millions and millions of people you know even at this very moment or having that experience With our music and connecting with that in such a personal way have every single person is a every little you know view. You see one view if you look at like man. That's not a lot of us. That's one person but then you look at the family that that affects in the night is just a trickle down effect. And it's just i. It's so insane to me that it's meeting at that house. Party was not only the changing moment for all of us. But now look what we've got to be a part of because music is so much bigger than all of us. I mean it goes out into the world and we're not responsible for what it does after that and it's just every single person has a story in a connection with that and music not just our music. The music in general is literally can change the world and bring a smile space. And i think that's a pretty incredible thing. Hey guys thanks for listening to the sunday. Sit down podcast. Stick around to hear more from dan shea right after the break. Hey it's.

"That i'm gonna murder you. How do you separate yourself when you're writing for yourself. I prefer it. Because the first thing i always care about is the structure and the story and making the the whole thing works so the main thing that i'm trying to do is track the whole story so you're building it that way. Once i know. I have a structure that works then. I'm putting myself in those scenes. And i'm trying to think like are there any laughs here. Is there any tenderness here. Is there a love story here. I think it'd be harder. Founds just writing a character named mike gerald forty brown hair heavyset. And just doing my tone. I don't know how to do it. But you get to voice spiderman you get a call for your rasic world. What was more important to you. Voice of spiderman or jurassic world. I mean if i'm being honest they're all the same later. You look into these parts the way they are chips on a poker table actually probably any job. I get it going back to poker. It is just more chips. I get to keep playing as long as i get to do. Good work. i'm still playing so spiderman was great but the reason i like spiderman is peter. Parker was written beautifully. The scenes that i performed in that that writing was phenomenal. My name is peter parker. I was bitten by a radioactive spider for the last twenty two years. I thought i was the one and only spider-man you see i saved. The city fell in love. I got married saved the city. Some more eighty too much. My marriage got testy. Made some dicey money choices. Don't invest in a spider themed restaurant then like fifteen years pass blah blah blah. Super barn broke my back. A drone flew into my face. Very may my wife. And i split up but i have like a champion phil. Lord who rewrote spider versa. Lot we had great staff that there'd be days out up to record and he would hand me something that he had just printed out from his computer and he would always preface. It like sorry. Just try this. It's not great. It'd be like a typo in it. And i'm not kidding i. Would you know around like others. I don't like to overly show emotion. I'm from my just different part of the country in a different era where my age group not as open. But i would at times. Have like that like lumps. Feeling like there's like an. Mj seen that would be really sad and not have to go. I really well written nice where you guys are very talented. Let's let's record and for me. That's the stuff that really excites me. I loved the writing to peter parker. That's why i want to do another one. I just want to say those words man because the words were good. What are you gonna do with your life after that well. I hope it doesn't happen for a while. Because i like ryan okay okay. I got poker chips still dan. I'm doing okay. I got a few fifteen nines. I gotta tell you when you turn it saturday night live. Was there any part of you. That wanted to audition for saturday night low. I really as a kid really wanted to be on saturday night live and then when i got there i realized how much of a business it was and i realized how naive i was so i was twenty years old. I was in a sketch. Comedy troupe. in new york we performed everywhere. We would read like the old porn theaters in times square and charge a dollar for people to come. We were all these old like theaters in the lower east side. And i believed you did that. And then all of a sudden you were will ferrell that like your performed for eight hundred a sold out place doing stuff with your childhood. Best friends and then like the king of hollywood. Has you like a bucket of a goal. To and i wouldn't get headshots because you don't need him. Didn't i didn't have much interest in an agent because like i don't think you need it. I realized very quickly. When i was at snl that these were professionals and there was a hierarchy to the industry that i needed to learn and so it made me take a major step back and figure out like oh i probably need to go to l. a. I need to get an agent and start this thing. Did you see yourself in any of those people on saturday night live. No you know who. I saw myself as comedic. Who really i looked up to was Mister show did you ever watch that old sketch show with bob. And dave. You know when. I saw mr show. I was right out of high school and that was the first thing i saw where i thought this is really what i would like to do. Though when i saw bob. And dave doing that show and i saw how good is like actors. They were and they would do a skit. But they would like fully commit and like david cross's character work and that was like so funny. And so three dimensional. And bob who's now like revealed himself to be like one of the best act like you sense that and their skits weren't just little blackout skits like weird endings. They were whole stories. And so i wanted to do that really badly. You brought up something when you were twenty eight twenty nine and maybe you were not going anywhere but did you ever feel that guilt. If mom and dad are disappointed in you or you let them down the ceiling for me from my parents point of view i think was pretty low like my brother with like the smart kid in my family. The stores were. How like you know your other your older brother. Dan was reading the newspaper at three. You know my sister was like the creative one who was drawn in like every story even to this day when now my kids are hearing stories but had an older brother sister. And you're the baby monkey. What happened why. Why aren't you like the others. All that's left is like the one who's got like like muster insurance. And so i think the fact that like i'm not living with them such a happy thing for that. Is there a big picture goal for you that you say i wanna do that. You know what it's more abstract. When it started. I grew up. Watching cheers cheers for me was the perfect show and i watched every episode of it multiple times. I wanted to go to the bar. Cheers and i wanted to be in cheers so as an actor. I wanted to be a show. I wanted to be in a tv show. That felt real enough for people. So that i could experience what it was like to be in cheers and at this point what i really wanna do is. It's a little selfish but there are certain jobs. I'll have where the actors are really good in the writings. Really good in. Everybody cares and it feels really good doing it. So there's a a story. I heard growing up. It was a improv teacher. Did a thing about like everybody believing in the process and they were doing a scene in a kitchen they did a whole scene like a forty five minute seen a couple in a kitchen and then they asked the audience who were all students in that. Make believe kitchen with no set. It's two people in two chairs of the fake kitchen wall that they never talked about. What color was the paint. Eighty percent of the people all said like light yellow or whatever. The color was because those two actress had done. Make believe so great that the people all had a collective unconscious and they all saw the same walls together. And that idea. I think is so cool and so all i really want to do in the future is get more of that. Where when we go to work with a group of people who wanna do it for the right reasons. We're all fully committing. Nobody cares about celebrity. Or how many followers they get or if the angle of their face looks good in this shot but we're all just there to try to do this thing that we all do professionally and if we can hit it and i can be part of those for a few years. That would make me very happy. When i finally get knocked off this ride would character. Would you have been in cheers. Probably an even dumber. Woody body wise growing up. I thought it was going towards orm..

"Daddy and he says yes. I test him on this over the ensuing days and he consistently says yes. So why. Put it on the books. I buy plane tickets and book a room. I tell my parents to clear time in their schedules as the trip approaches. I'm increasingly concerned that he's going to have a full on temper tantrum when i pick them up and try to get them in the cab to the airport. What if he doesn't wanna leave mommy. What if the entire trip is traumatic and awful for both of us. What if he won't let me put him to bed. I used to put him to bed when he was a baby but ever since he's been able to speak he's had a whole problematic sleep career he will not let me put him to bed. His mom can put them to bed. His nanny can put him to bed but not me. In fact one time i arranged a night where both his mother and his nanny were out of the house. So i would be the only option i remember. He was sitting in the bath before bedtime. And after i'd finish shampooing him. It dawned on him that i was to put him to bed freaking out and whining. In a way that suggested a full-on bout of crying may be in the offing. One of the cats having to walk through the bathroom at that time i asked alexander. Would you be okay with ruby putting you to bed. And he said yes. I asked him why he said because she's a girl so there i was second fiddle to ruby. Can you imagine being there. A fly on the wall see. Dan slumped his son. Adamant the cat. Nonchalant whoa we.

But thankfully, I had a nice chair in front of a big TV trying to avoid a whole lot of chatting. I said hi to everybody when I first got there. So then I can kind of be antisocial just focus on the game. While it was going on. You have a choice to not go to the party. I did. But I had blown it off a few other times. And in speaking with my wife, she said let why don't we go for the first half may or may not stay for the, you know, the halftime show. And then she promised me we'd get backed by the second half. So I could sit at my laptop and watch the game in the privacy, everyone homework on guests and all that kind of thing. So I worked on nicely. Got some food said hi to some friends and by by the start of the third quarter. I was home. And it was it was quite lovely. I went into. An isolation chamber in the bedroom and headroom. Yeah. So the bedroom. That's probably I'm not a huge TV you're dealing with. No, I had a small TV, but the distractions downstairs with the kids I did not want to risk it. Not the issue was I had made a huge Chile two kinds of meat. No big deal. And I had to eat that in the bedroom, which my wife was upset. I'm like at Super Bowl. We all have to do things adjustable with adjust. Yeah. I did the same actually not in the in the bedroom..
