Why contact tracing is critical

"Public health officials say the growing White House outbreak underscores why contact tracing is so critical Almost Michelle Esteban is digging into our state is doing in that area and spoke with Colonel Kevin McMahon of the National Guard in charge of contact tracing in our state. I talked to the Department of Health when it comes to that contact tracing They say that they have work to do. They're not where they want to be. And it is a massive mission. You have to remember. We've got over 89,000 cases since the pandemic began, and we really should talk about what is contact tracing. Since the onset of the pandemic. Our state Department of Health has led an effort to contact every person has positive in our state with a goal to do that, for 90% of the cases within 24 hours of test results. We're not their recent example. Just last month of department health reach 49% of those cases within 24 hours, and then two weeks later up to 65%. They do expect improvement, and that really is just a fraction of the tracing that's done in our state. The bulk of all the contact tracing is actually done by local health departments. And right now the state still working on how to track that data. From all of the county health department. Contact Tracing can happen when someone test positive that triggers the process. State team members the National Guard, They'll call you the request contact information for all your close contacts. That is someone who was within 6 FT. For 15 minutes or more of you to let them know that they may have been exposed and they should get tested. They're encouraged to stay home or watch for symptoms for 14 days. I'll just remind you that this is all voluntary. The information is private Washington National Guard alone says since May, it has made 16,480 calls. That's just a small sample of those contacted. But it is telling, says the commander who is overseeing the state's part of the mission tells me that there's a need and we've got to continue to press hard in this. We've got to continue to mitigate the overall impact to covet. S so that we can ensure that our state and especially its citizens are healthy and are able to return to their lives. It is why the state secretary of health urging all Washingtonians to answer or call back right away if they are contacted by public health,

"The numbers are fudged The Arizona Department health Services is putting out bad information, the very key benchmark that is the amount of covert cases per 100,000 people. Is being inflated because they're not just using only new covert cases. They're also using in that. Antibody results. People have antibodies, the serology tests that's not knew that shouldn't count. But they're using it and it's inflating it. You go to the department Health website. Look on school testing and you'll see it. The numbers don't match up. Second thing. I think you need to know we have the lawyer on that's representing now over 100 bars serious six and cirie seven license owners. Any revealed Doug Ducey eyes basically working with the Arizona Restaurant Association. They're very politically powerful. His buddy, Sam Fox and others, and I like Sam Fox restaurants. I don't blame them for doing this, but they're they're manipulating their keeping bars close. So when people have to go out to have a cocktail or a drink, they have to go to the restaurant bars now not regular bars. And he's saying that that's unfair. It's not constitutional. I mean, it's tremendous we'll have the neuro interview upon my page a canister dot com They're hoping to get the before the Supreme Court August 25th year in Arizona. It was remarkable third thing I think you need to know is that black lives matter out in Seattle was walking in a neighborhood so white people inside a home and started yelling at them. The mob did saying, Give up your home. You're comfortable white people. Black people used to live here. This is black people and give up your home. And give up your land. That's what they're doing. Three things. I think you need to know, by the way speaking all this stuff down If you saw how she really quick, vouch, he came out and said that you can't trust the temperature taking in places where it's hot. Which it's summer. It's hot everywhere, especially here in Arizona. So a temperature check done by a restaurant or a business. You see, it's not reliable. Every day. Something changes with this freaking guy every day. But he did say, he says, there's no reason why we can't do voting in person. So you have that? Oh, no, I love this. Hang on. U S Postal Service is warning is just alert My phone. Absentee voting rules in key swing states may leave some ballots uncounted. They just want more money there. Working with the demos, too. Get bailouts of billions of dollars. Get out of here. Um Let's get some juicy. And then I was squeezing that story about the black neighborhood where the in Chicago where they kicked out black lives matter. Ah ah do suffer, though. Yesterday had some things to say in his little press conference, he changed it because it's boring and stupid and too long. S O. He changeable. Everybody was taking questions. Very interesting one about water parks, and I left this. I left it in there. I left a question in there because I wanted to get the full. Ah, full scale of it. Okay, very important that you Nothing's taken out of context. Um And Ryan. For some reason, I lost the prep with a number on it. I don't know. Always wait. I got it now. Finally is there. 32? 32. I know. Finally I screwed up for once, right? I one flaw 30 to listen to this. Why? Water parks are closed, but hotels with the same lazy rivers and water slides. Khun, stay open. I'll bet you that the the hotel lobby. That is influencing the governor. There. He's screwing over the smaller businesses. Unbelieving. Listen to this. Here we go. Your order allowed, uh, resorts to reopen their swimming pools and splash clubs. But freestanding splash places like like Mesa are not tell me what the difference is because of this glass pad at the Hilton and Splash Planet Maysa. We're working with the larger Places commercial places on guidance in reopening, and we did put guidance limiting groups in the pools in the resort. Understood. But why? Why can't Maces Sunsplash lived by the same rules? It's somewhat the same thing that I talked about on some of these other businesses that were operating Responsibly but underneath the category, it was not. We're working with him on reopening. There's no answer there. He gave no answer. Well, it's kind of like what we talked about earlier and things and Yeah, huh? Yeah. Ah, So obviously, as do Sopher gets lobbied hard, and his must be buddy buddy, helping his friends with the restaurant lobby. Three hotel in tourism lobby. Obviously saying, Hey, we're getting screaming. Think about this. Tourism is down across the board. People are not traveling to Arizona. They canceled reservations in hotels and everything else. People in Arizona just like everywhere else. Having a tough time trying to go on vacation. Nobody wants to fly anywhere, right. So what are people in Arizona doing it? I've done it. You go Overthinking hotel and you look for one that has some nice amenities. Maybe a waterslide. Maybe a lazy river. Maybe a big pool. So I guarantee you this is what's happening. Dues. He gets lobbied hard and says, Sure, I will crush the water parks. To make sure the hotel and tourism industry can make money. If people aren't coming in from out of Arizona will make Arizonans go there because I'll make it impossible for them to go to a water park. I guarantee you, That's what happening. This guy is pure evil. This where I get even more mad that again Republican lawmakers like Gail Griffin. Who called the show a relation of Peter that I know of. Finchem. Red Roberts, Vince Leech. I mean, Kelly Townsend's trying, but I mean, nobody's calling him out on this white what is happening here? We stick up for businesses. That's what we do here. Go now. Coronavirus kills additional Diamond Princess cruise passengers, reports say Israel close to discovering vaccine

"More information on corona virus a self updates from ABC news the FDA is now announcing that the issue of of the drug shortage is is a possibility again these drugs will be ramped up fairly quickly you would imagine Japan has report report a couple additional time in princess cruise ship deaths individuals were a British man in the Japanese when they were the fifth and six passengers to die from corona virus after being aboard the quarantine at cruise ship of course like seven hundred people were actually infected under quarantine cruise ship so not a huge surprise that many people die because that if there were eight hundred people infected what aboard the cruise ship in six or seven people die that's obviously tragic is obviously terrible but that means the death rate is not ten percent or or twenty percent or even five percent so D. D. right right now China still leads the way in from the number of infections apparently at least twenty hundred people according to WHO's South Korea has the second highest national total of coronavirus cases behind China more than eighty one thousand people tested in that country about twenty three hundred had tested positive for coronavirus more than thirty thousand others awaiting test results at this point meanwhile a majority of America out of the cases who were on board the diamond princess cruise ships the the the people in the United States were diagnosed with the disease they were on board that diamond princess cruise ship those placed under quarantine in Japanese waters no American has yet died from corona virus the CDC is investigating the source of the various infections that haven't seen around the country the FDA said on Thursday it was not aware of any reports at this time of human illnesses that you just like run a virus can be transmitted by food or buy food packaging meanwhile there is the other big story from the US government is the whistleblower within the U. S. department health and Human Services had filed a complaint alleging that more than a dozen workers were sent for seed the first Americans repatriated from China without proper training or protective gear for coronavirus infection control this is reported by The Washington Post they suggested the corona virus basically was treated with without any sort of protective gear according to this whistleblower the underlying complaint apparently has not been substantiated at this point a spokesperson for the US office of special counsel confirmed it received whistleblower complaint in the case has been assigned when asked for comment US department health and Human Services spokesperson Caitlin Oakley told ABC news we take always lower complaints very seriously and are providing the complainants all appropriate protections under the whistleblower protection act of value in the complaint have nothing further to add at this time ABC news has not revealed the complaint lawyers representing whistleblower have refused to provide the complaint one of the whistle blowers attorneys told ABC news that the allegations laid forth are accurate this is we are hopeful Congress in the OS you will investigate this case in a timely and comprehensive manner there's no evidence by the way that anybody who actually met the folks coming back for more than that any of those those folks were actually infected with coronavirus none the less that is leading to questions about the the federal handling of this entire situation now what with all of that set there's no question that the Democrats in the media are making hay out of all this Brian Stelter was saying we may be looking at a crisis and meanwhile we're having a crisis in leadership okay we're not anywhere near crisis point United States at this point as we are just not we're not in fact is that we have double digit numbers of the actual infected in the United States is only sixty total infected in the United States in a country of three hundred thirty million people in zero deaths so far so the notion that we are like on the verge of a widespread outbreak now this stuff is good a good move but there's no evidence at this point that a pandemic is in the offing in the United States particularly since the US has done a fairly good job it seems so far of quarantining people meanwhile over in Israel the reports that Israeli scientists are on the cusp of developing the first acting against the novel coronavirus according to science and technology minister over conus I look for to Bernie Sanders or she had to leave I know how to Omar suggesting boycott divestment sanction from the coronavirus vaccine because it's produced in Israel if all goes as planned the vaccine could be ready within a few weeks in available in ninety days according to a press release so we'll see you know how well this this coronavirus vaccine works but at least there are some glimmers of hope on the
