ABC made it clear it wanted nightline to return to its live roots with anchors that worked 5 nights a week. Scheduled at Ted Koppel just wasn't interested in. So he left, he didn't really retire. He just left, and for his finale, because that was a big pen cople fan. I always thought it'd be a funny skit if, you know, if you were Ted couple son. And you came home late one night, maybe you stunk of beer or maybe you had some marijuana smoke on your jacket and you walk into the house and your father is that couple. And for those of you who don't remember what a fatherly figure he was like, I'd always thought of a funny joke would be you walking you creeping in all of a sudden the light flicks on and that's your dad Ted Koppel going. We're here now with my son who has come home an hour and a half late. Man, I smell your breath. You know, just destroying his son for being out too late and having fun and all this kind of shit. Maybe it just makes me laugh. But it always made me laugh at ten couple as a father. Would be so scary. I remember his finale, he did something with a guy, Mitch Alba, a great author who wrote one of the best books Tuesdays with Maury. And he said goodbye on his own terms.

"I just listened to one of my favorite podcasts with David Spade and Dana Carvey. Love those guys. They have such a great podcast. What the hell is the name of it? Flying the wall. Flying the wall is great, and they always interview people who work on SNL. And they just bring back so many great memories. So I just heard about Jimmy Fallon and Will Ferrell and horatio sins and the other crazy guy, we're in that famous tail bell sketch. Memory Christopher Walken, we need more cowbell. You know, I put my pants on one leg at a time in the morning with the differences. I produce gold records, so they're talking about that sketch, and it was one of the first few weeks that Jimmy Fallon was on that show. And this sketch as great as it was. Remember Will Ferrell banned the cowbell? What is belly out? His shirt was short. He just didn't hear Chris guitar ratio stands. Jimmy Fallon will fell brilliant. And thalam was talking about how the stage was shaking when they did that sketch. And obviously I've been on that stage. I've done this show. I did two sketches there. Back, I don't know, 20 years ago. I'm probably everything I tell you is probably 20 years ago, but it shakes when the laughter is just so huge. And Fallon was saying, this sketch was a sketch that came on at ten to 1 a.m. or 5 to one, the most sketches that they probably don't think are going to work out so they put them at the end of the show. Yeah, she went to look at these centers in Texas, which happened to outnumber abortion clinics substantially. They don't offer abortions they offer information and counseling and alternatives to abortion. But they also are dispensing information and our team took a look at some of that information and questions about whether it is accurate. And also pointing out that these are largely public funded these crisis pregnancy centers. So we took a deep look into that tonight. Breaking news this afternoon involving an Amtrak train derailment in Missouri we're seeing some dramatic images what do we know so far? Well, the early reports is the train may have struck a truck that was crossing the tracks. The idea that this beautiful nurse could have actually killed her husband and then cut him. Up is just incredible. Of course they were salacious aspects. Maguire is a registered nurse and prosecutors. Say she had an affair with a doctor. She didn't fit the profile. I guess of a murderer over the years students and colleagues vowers have come to me and said you know melanie mcguire. Procr- proclaims her innocence. And we'd love to tell her story. I started thinking. Oh maybe there is a little more than this case than what you see on the surface and then the idea of a podcast came up and i was all in on direct appeal. Ghana Becomes 1st Country To Get COVAX Vaccine Doses

To crime. Ridden about twenty, five true crime books over the years and I think many maguire is perhaps one of the most interesting ones and baffling. This is Melanie. McGuire arrested today minutes after dropping offer children in daycare. Melanie, McGuire a New Jersey nurse was accused of killing her husband cutting up his body and throwing it into the Chesapeake Bay. In two thousand, seven, what was being called? The suitcase murder trial was generating an enormous amount of media attention, not just in New Jersey, but all across the country three bazaar discoveries, three separate suitcases, all containing human remains the woman who is on trial for her very life. She says the real truth behind the crime has never been revealed with no history of violence and no apparent motive for murder. Could she really have done it? She was this beautiful young nurse and they were the seemingly normal middle class couple and the murder happened in such a grisly way. The idea that this beautiful nurse could have actually killed her husband and then cut him up is just incredible. Of course, they were salacious aspects. Maguire is a nurse and prosecutors say she had an affair with a doctor. She didn't fit the profile I.
