"Got so flustered during this interview that he bailed on it mid interview and just handed the phones to his communications staffer and then it had three of those emoji faces looking pretty incredible with this and then that tweet got re tweeted by Natalie enters the Wall Street journal congressional reporter so that exchange receiving national attention I expect that will increase as people listen to the interview because that's the bottom line is nobody expects a presidential candidate to react like that and I mean we could have if Ryan had jumped out of the bushes because I would not have done that Efrain it jumped out of the bushes outside the Hickenlooper home at two in the morning and leave well no I I wasn't implying you what okay kissing I wouldn't but if Ryan had done that you would fully expect a presidential candidate to be able to give a direct answer to those questions it's a central issue when the twenty twenty campaign but to the other point is we go to the phone lines eight five five four zero five eight two five five what is the significance of Hickenlooper's conduct in that interview with at what point taken the bread to say how we acted it's separate love your thoughts because I think there are a lot of different ramifications and implications and and revelations from his approach to that interview but the point being central issue in the campaign it's not as if let's say we've been doing some investigative report and had been following a candidate or how and then all of the sudden you get something on tape that you surprise the candidate with by the way candidate for Congress over here what about this we found on tape it was nothing like that it's a central issue in the campaign and by the way I have never in twenty five years agreed to limit the questioning in any interview the only candidate who never asked for the act was Cynthia Kaufman and she wasn't candidates who was Attorney General at the time and we refused and she didn't come on the show and to infect the condition that was being imposed in the Kaufman interview center Kaufman not Mike my could never try to impose new conditions was that I would not be allowed to ask her about her decision not to investigate Planned Parenthood and in so no I'm not gonna agree to that condition she didn't come out and so no we we would never agree to limit the questioning and that's why I asked Brian and he did it typically call that campaign and let them know that that we are not limited that you know we want to talk about everything and play in the campaign and he did that in advance but even if we hadn't done that you should be able to look for should be able to respond directly to that very fair central question and as you heard for yourself I treated him with great respect as as I always have over the years and and as I try to treat everybody so I think it's very telling I will go back to the phone lines and this will start with Steve in beautiful larkspur Colorado you're on the Dan caplet show eight five five four zero five eight two five five what do you think it's the thing thank you so much down either I mean the guy obviously is not prepared but I think what we need to remember at least from my standpoint is two things regarding Hickenlooper such as he was in when he was an entrepreneur he knowingly hired an illegal immigrant he ran kitchen restaurant with illegals one of those illegals killed eight Denver tops and then select the next Stephen fairness asking this in fairness I remember is certainly an amber Craig and I raising money for the family but I don't think Hickenlooper there was ever proof that Hickenlooper's company knew that this individual was the legal when they hired him right okay all you give them more benefit of the doubt the night yet but you certainly proof of questions that occurred when he was running you know for the office after that happened certainly you have to realize that this is a guy who overturned a a jury decision in this decision to put somebody else instead the face of a family seeking justice what is the mayor jump on this for a second because I I I think you get to a core point and that is the deceptive Mister John Hickenlooper because he said he's been very successful and I think creating this false image of being some kind of moderate when I think that interview exposes him as too extreme for Colorado if you're not willing to say that a baby born alive sitting there on the table is entitled to medical care you are not a moderate you're too extreme for Colorado embodies receptiveness because after the interview we get this strongly worded email from the Hickenlooper camp as saying oh yeah we told you we come back on your show but we're never coming back on your show I'm paraphrasing the email I've seen it once and and and this interview was conducted in bad faith so because Hickenlooper screws up the interview now he accuses us falsely of conducting the interview in bad faith for the good thing is everybody got to hear that interview for themselves there was no trickery there was no badgering they got to hear it for themselves and and so now rather than interceptor sponsor ability he tries to blame others the.

"Want to make it clear Dan wants to ask about everything because I wasn't going to do the interview if they were gonna put limits on me and in his staffer told Ryan yep everything in the twenty twenty campaign for game which is the norm as you might expect that is the norm in this business particularly for presidential candidates nobody tries to limit interviews but that tells you a lot about John Hickenlooper let's go to the phone lines it is explosive right now we'll start with Donna in Colorado springs you're on the game caplet show welcome hi there thanks Dan so completely disgusted by Hickenlooper I'm I'm just stunned by that interview he's got to be feeling embarrassed by his responses to your legitimate question I mean Dan I'm a woman and I'm still not buying his fate concern for poor women trying to earn brownie points with women when he was cornered he just kept repeating that phrase Intel core one emporium and you have to be in her shoes not buying it Hickenlooper and it was so obvious he was lying when he pretended to have only a couple of minutes remaining to talk with you and that he was baffled that you were talking about abortion and then pretending to have a room full of people when they get off the phone basically hanging up the phone on you when you can and down on the after birth treatment of a baby that didn't survive an abortion and he could not get a clear answer it just showed what a disgusting human being he is and I'm not gonna come a disgusting human being and I don't think Donna he is a disgusting human being I think that he is simply not ready for the big time he is the last thing you should be as a U. S. senator or president he cannot tell you what he believes and why and defend the position I eat one of the last people should be a U. S. senator from Colorado well I mean for him to pretend that it's a rarity to leave the baby who survived an abortion just be left to separate receive no medical care I I would say that defines at a disgusting human being I mean he couldn't take a stand on even just this piece yes well what's interesting here hello he was lying see the call and again I don't think he's a disgusting human being every time I've been around John Hickenlooper in person I've enjoyed the time he's been very polite and kind but the reality is he should not be a U. S. senator you should not be a president everything I've told you about him and predicted about him has come true and the reason why is seen in that interview like in if you haven't heard it yet Ryan's gonna get a post on our website I could not have been more polite I did not interrupt him the only thing I did was kept coming back when he dodged the question and and ask it again and ask for a direct answer to a very important policy question and he cannot handle that he he in Colorado he refused if you tried to do that in Colorado you got cut off and never got to talk to me again which is why I hadn't been able to talk him for seven years until this interview today and then this one lasted what Ryan three minutes seven years seven years for yeah that was eleven years I waited for that eight hours of preparation for this interview you should see my notes and any such a light weight and I don't mean that in the human being sense I mean in the professional sense as a candidate for high office he's such a total light weight he couldn't simply answer very foreseeable questions that he should have expected and told us what he believed in what so to Donna's point is we go back to the phone lines you know by mission and you know you can judge for yourself as you hear it bio mission I think it's clear he is not willing to say that if an infant is born alive dead dead infants should receive medical care I I think it was to me at least judge for yourself clear from his comments his position as a Ralph Northam position if in infants born alive following a failed abortion then the mother gets to decide those were his exact words on that topic but his inability to just say no if in infants born alive following a failed abortion any other should be medical care it's remarkable it truly I don't think anybody could listen to that interview on either side and conclude the tech I should be a U. S. senator from Colorado Dan in centennial year on the damn kapple sure everybody in the line will find a way to get you an error in this segment Dan welcome to the show Hey Dan thanks for having me sure eight thank you very much for doing that interview in the way you did it that just shows what a what a circle talker and light weight no integrity guy that it if there's one issue is the hottest issue it's been the hardest for twenty plus years when he should have been fully prepped to answer that question very specifically in very quickly exactly and what and what you see is the other version of a lot of good and bad temper talking circle so that they don't have to take a bite yeah good point and he proceeded to call my friend will go to mark in beautiful pueblo Colorado you're on the Dan caplet show welcome mark Hey good afternoon down I just like to preface this call and I was very large long Democrat up until two thousand sixteen or my first Republican that I voted for was Donald Trump historic well here's the reason why I want to talk about this is that I noticed when when I was young men are at their wrist while Reagan George Bush Bill Clinton in all these guys and they would answer questions no matter what the question was from whoever M. S. U. M. and the problem that I have with chicken liver and it's the same problem that I have with the G. and see right now is the D. will not allow people who were adversarial test questions and not fight are you opposed the whole world will will speak to your your Washington post he doesn't in the question he may call on fake news but at the same time he won't answer the question that is a great point great point mark and and my apologies I want to get rid of it you make a brilliant point and and and that is and marks a perfect example of this I think you had a lot of people vote for trump who disagreed with trump on lots of things but at least he paid them the respect of telling them what he really thought you listen to John Hickenlooper that was disrespectful on multiple levels he would not tell you his true position on late term abortion because he knows that is true position would cost him an election in Colorado eight that is disrespectful to you mark hunt I twenty five hopefully in a vehicle you're on the Dan caplet show welcome yeah Dan it's good to talk to you number two I wanted thank you as a Catholic for your unrelenting fight on the abortion issue thank you number two and as far as Hickenlooper I absolutely agree that with you that he is a total lightweight I mean I would almost relish the race of him against Corey guard just see what Cory Gardner would do to him and I do agree with you as well that it was disrespectful that he wouldn't even answer a question and when it comes down to anyone's integrity or their ethics I would back you a hundred percent more than I would ever believe Hickenlooper's tame saying that you've blind sided him I I just think it's offensive that he would his name would say this he wasn't prepared his team I think has banned uber professional with us they are big time and I have no problem with this team but we went way above and beyond the norm in this industry mark when we put in a specific call to them at least an hour or two before the interview saying Hey Dan wants to ask about everything and and we were told they everything in the twenty twenty campaign fair game so but you should never have to have that conversation that's my point that the norm in the industry is not to limit topics no talk show host with integrity would agree to limit topics and and I've never done nobody's only two people a vast mark Cynthia Kaufman's team and I said no and they didn't do the interview and and John Hickenlooper steam didn't even ask to limit it we went out of our way to make the point to them we're going to ask about everything and then he refused to answer and tried to hide behind their well and absolutely and I agree with the lady who called earlier that said it was clear that he was trying to get all the phones I office with the problem I bet me a blister do you for it will send soldiers a file that tells you how long I've lived through you and I'm a conservative Catholic which we are few and far between and hopefully growing strong well I think it was clear that he was trying to just don't get the phone to one of his team members and say get me out of this yeah you know which is I mean it was a no mas it where was waving the white flag it was a remarkable thing to senior I just hope every Colorado voter I wouldn't be at all surprised if the Democrats you know running against him as will soon join that race for US Senate if they distributed to everybody because it just shows he is he is a light weight not as a man that's not my point but as as a candidate as a public servant he's a white way Dustin Castle Rock John the Dan caplet show welcome Hey Dan thanks for taking my call I'll try to keep it quick what I found really interesting about that conversation or the seem to be you can use audiences pandering a little bit to that conservatives libertarian class with the statements of you know fewer less government you know why would you want the government make connections for a moment yeah and you know I'd be curious to see how the conversation went about the guns today because I almost bet that he'd have a reverse statement about today you know right everybody's in agreement that this red flag law so I just be curious to see how that would protest no that's right and I wish you had allowed a true conversation because this response I mean that's that's a fair question is what a second I mean you guys say you want small government right but at its basic level government's responsibility is to protect the innocent from being killed and so it's it's government's responsibility to protect this innocent human life from being killed but but yeah it's it's amazing what you think Dustin that somebody running for president would expect these questions and be prepared to tell you what they believe and why and and they wouldn't run away when you insisted on an answer yeah I think he probably would've been prepared with the right audience and I think we know the I. N. C. B. for his answer with but in this case he definitely got caught off guard and it was humorous to hear well it's common for needing to cut off guard because of us you know you got caught off guard because he is unwilling to take a position and defend unwilling unable perhaps but whatever I think it proves he should not be US senator from Colorado think about that job US senator from Colorado in particular you know you your job is to go out there and to make the case to persuade to tell people you know what what.
