"And by the way for any of you out there I am not a deep state operative. But Even if I wass I couldn't tell you. So you know you can't take me from my word if I was, but I'm not assuming you believe me. Look, um I'm going to try to have a little fun this hour. And I hope some of you out there. Will will enjoy the hour. Okay, so let's let's let's start it off. Celebrities. Ah, and and sports figures have been endorsing candidates on during the first hour. I mentioned that there's a Ah, pretty substantial list that support Donald Trump and Joe Biden and and we'll get to that list. Including the endorsement that Bobby or made for Donald Trump in New Hampshire today. But you know entertainers. Entertainers also have a lot of influence. And yesterday. Donald Trump was endorsed by Little Wayne Mera Youa Little Wayne fan, you know. You know? Not at all. Well, I'm a huge little Wayne fan. It's meta fact, Little Wayne and I have fairly close. Okay, many people when he comes to town, we kind of hang a little bit and so I just want to play a little bit a little Wayne here. In cut 17. And I want to compare it to a song that share has written and I want to find out from some of you who you would be more influenced by little Wayne or share Little Wayne's with Trump. Shares with Joe Biden. So if we can hit a little bit a little Wayne for those of you, and I'm sure most of my audience are big, little Wayne fans. Have you even ever been to like to a little Wayne concert? Mariel. No, we'll see. No wonder you don't like him. I mean, you know You know how many little Wayne concerts I've been to Yes, yes. All of them exactly. Exactly. You. You know me well enough to know that that he would be my guy. So little Wayne. This cut 17. This is the guy that yesterday a great rapper almost as good as my pal Curtis Booker C four who did a rap song for nightside a few years ago, which which which we would Which we still I think having the archives this little Wayne, this is endorsing Donald Trump. Yesterday. He's sweet. This's classic little so you get a sense a little way in here. Anyone who would not like that? I don't know. I mean, it is just very, very hip. At the same time share, wrote a song. About Joe Joe Biden. It's quite different. Um and I want you to listen particularly those of you who are Joe Biden's supporters. This it is the music icon share. Now I consider a little Wayne music icon as well. But many of you consider share She's been around a little longer. The little Wayne But this is cut for share. Singing about Jo. Just hold six. He's got away makes No, I don't know if this is going to be one of shares greatest and I'm quite following it, but She's singing for Joe. So if any of you wantto don't wanna weigh in as to who would I don't know who you'd be influenced more by share a little Wayne. You know, I'm I will admit I'm I'm kind of partial little way now. We also had a very interesting Um, parody. That, um That was done, which I thought was pretty funny. Ah, and I thought it hit the tone Very well. And if any of you have seen this parody Ah, it actually was done, I believe by a woman who Really did a great job here. She is playing the role of a spokesperson for the Democratic Party. Ah, and we're going to hit Cut 34 here because this is its Parodi. Don't get me wrong, but There's always a little A little truth in humor. Cut 34. I'm spokesperson for the Democratic Party. And.

"Is known Curtis Booker actually he and his a backup singers basically telling you would not sense all about billing Danvers knows what night side is all about Hey bill welcome back how are you yeah yeah great great it's been a while I've been well I was sort of depressed for a few weeks away around I'm a little up lifted them I mean mass but by business over the line in New Hampshire so thankfully governor Sununu we open we can be open retail I'm in the mall location allows business eggs I want to give your business a plug so we got to do some business what do you do what do you sell up there at the fresh fruits movies directives guy Byron I get rich he's a talent slash a character limit which which has been yep it about twelve years so which more small you wind up their bill Allman but Rockingham great ball and great well and want to generate some business for your household but a little discount for anybody walks in and says they heard John night side yeah I'll get I'll put him down for the month discount they get fifteen percent off all right fifty percent in the fourth place again is rob him all in the name is what it's got about fresh fruits movies perfect thanks so you're feeling a little better that's good well a little bit I now what happens with the stores there's a few that are never gonna reopen death you know you know walking through the mall and talking to the regulars and I you know J. C. Penney still has it open they're supposed to open even if they do file for bankruptcy because of the liquidators have become in Macy's will be open on Friday so I'm I'm happy about that Macy's is re opening a nation why are they out on Friday they are okay Friday but JC Penney's is that you know I don't I don't know I look at CNBC today but with this whole thing started you know I was looking at the best year ever had been I gotta tell you I was thrilled you know I just renew the lease and I just bought equipment and what a new ice machine that but in different cabinet you know so I spent five six thousand Bucks and then you know we were in your head in the again and I knew it was probably going to last longer than they said because anything they say and it's proved out route because of the governors and and the way that things have gone it's always another week it really moved the by the bit that they bend the curve but if the goal post keep changing now I thank you know that I'm telling you right now I think that it's going to I think we're gonna get back once we start to open up if we all you know do it reasonably and rationally and and we can get through this and there's no reason in my opinion why if we follow it governor Baker and mayor Walsh and governor Sununu say you know we'll we'll we got some ground to make up people people are going to want to get out and spend some money is a lot of pain you know I I've kept I've kept my employees on payroll and that in the pay roll protection plan was an easy just came in last Monday for me but what a great gift when you think about it because if you keep on the payroll to June thirtieth that loan turns into a grant as I understand it right yeah and I'm already dropped out of my account so that check for you guys to actually that came in and it's just the whole thing I mean ultimately I I feel better than I can save it now two weeks ago I would have said Hey I think it's all over you know you're gonna be fine probably take B. twelve to eighteen months to fix it then that's okay that's okay we'll we'll all pick ourselves up off the mat simple as that they were Massachusetts fellow small business colleagues and they're not gonna make it to the pain they have and I know that but obviously that's why I'm glad you called tonight and I'm glad you're doing well and and give a give a little bit of a break to people say they heard tonight's side simple as that okay everybody dance I will and you yeah yeah I'm sorry sorry but to me lately I've been you know but I'm I'm back in the game and so yeah your voice because you represent a lot of people in your situation and when you speak this this this is the hundreds of small business owners right now we say thank god bill called the show simple as that okay this is a great podium it's a great microphone you heard in thirty eight states use it use it thanks thank you have a good idea you have to let's go to Chloe in Michigan calling in Michigan how are you tonight I'm fine thank you thank you I do have that sorry I said thank you for calling you go right ahead okay I hate real sympathy for the gentleman that just but found but as a senior in this small county where I live with some a college that has supported heavily by trump supporters I am scared to death to see them come back into town this is the one that when the students come back when the students come back he would scream if you wouldn't mind telling me what school to if you wouldn't mind cal star college well yeah sure no I know that I know that school that's a really good school and it's one of the schools that I went there in my day good for you good for you yeah but it it's scary the most I I am sure a hundred percent in almost every case through twelve in our county will be closed I'm not starting in the fall sh it's just it I think the parents I have a lot of grand kids to have kids and two of them are not sending their kids to school if they do start because they are afraid of this virus we have a small hospital yes I'll bet if I could if I could ask Chloe how badly by the way I don't think you've ever called me before tech correct once before a long long time ago okay listening call more often hello how many cases have they been in the in the town or has has your crank out yes yes we have had we had a real rush because the parts we have a long term care facility sh and it got in there and we lost I think it's nineteen I just came home from my daughters and find I haven't really read all my papers it was like nineteen that we have a lot of spare and this is another part of that I lost my son about us almost four weeks now she and she came home from work and felt that on Tuesday she came home went back to work he'd give the plant manager of a local factory which was not open but you still you know at work to do sh and he came home and the second day and I had a severe headache and wasn't able to breach collect all of the hospital yeah sure and it was ruled as congestive heart failure when you cast show how good if I could ask a household his son fifty six full still it's a young man very very athletic do you smoke but he did not have a history of heart failure bang out of heart problems and and it's going to be ruled as it's congestive heart failure I have a price let me ask you this do we have any sort of prior history with that or no no no and like I said he's he's now he was very healthy stay healthy I'm so sorry I'm so sorry for your loss clawing yeah it it's a horrible thing but I I'm scared to death by before this I would I I'm seventy but so be it seventy eight and I was driving the flint which Michigan well my daughter's family in a family of the live there and dot and they have little children and I've been doing it for seven years straight and twenty fifty miles every week that care for those children my grandkids you know yes and and she's a teacher and so she's at home now but man I I just hate to see those kids and I the there be no way that they go back to school on flat well there will be no way hello yeah okay I mean you leave the spaces when you tell me that his son passed it would go and obviously I don't know if corona virus had anything to do with it or not it could people tonight Alex yep unexpectedly yeah I'll get this right yeah it it should but I just I really feel that talked about she I think he and governor Whitmer are going to be Michigan state here because she's had so much backlash from from her you know trying to check that it's the you can down yeah but we get about you do if you do have to balance that out a little bit I I do think I really do Khloe I'm I'm way past my time I gotta take a break I just hope you'll do me a favor I'd like to kind of keep in touch in contact with you would you call me you know couple weeks so just let me know how you doing share share in that I really mean that you know we talk about this issue on and off throughout the week and any night you feel you know look to just have you check in okay okay well I appreciate it and I enjoy listening to you thanks we'll talk soon have a great night that's a tough call six one seven two five four ten thirty triple eight nine two nine ten thirty if you call and I'll try to get you in under the wire be back right after this side with Dan right the news watch never stops WBZ newsradio ten thirty "He is known professionally with his backup crew and they're singing about night side and I talked to Curtis earlier this week he's on go through a little bit of a medical procedure it's nothing that some in any way shape or form of the serious nature but it's a procedure and those of you in the audience who believe in the power print if you'd just offer up a prayer for my pal Curtis Booker C. four I know he would appreciate it because he's very spiritually oriented I know I would appreciate it let's get back to the calls let's go to Mary Beth in Hanover high merry Beth how are you today welcome hi Dan so I I'm trying to think of the positive things that come with this but you know I'm looking online I'm seeing a lot of people that are offering their services like thing my kids don't have school tomorrow they'll be happy to go to the store to pick up description things like that you know I work in an elderly complex for Housing Authority those people always are pulling together for each other and you know I'm not one that will panic about something like this I'm trying to think that it might be a good thing in a way that everybody has to take a step back and slow down and you're not going out as much so spend time home with your families you know it's a good opportunity I was sick last week and when I started feeling better I urge like three rooms in my house and got a lot of things done I mean there are things that the good things that will come out of this you know just don't go out I work in a restaurant it's really impacting us financially that way and we're really doing so much in the restaurant you know sterilizing bald and tougher than me and like everything everybody's being really cautious about that you know and just trying to be upbeat for the people that do come in so I don't know that's just my take on what I think that's a wonderful take as a matter of fact I'm going to be going out with some friends on Saturday night to an Asian restaurant I I am not a huge Asian restaurant fan but some friends of ours invited us to join them for dinner and I'm looking forward to it I really am I'm I would assume right now that restaurants are paying particular attention to of making sure that the the dining experience is probably to be a little less crowded so would it be it'll be a positive but I think you're right spent some time with your kids spend some time with your with your parents sometime with with your family members are we we all are so busy we're like that the little mouse there on the treadmill and we're just going to go in and out of it yeah and all of a sudden now people are holding you know they're taking precautions and not well you know my family we're not panicking we're all just like you know playing board games and you know it's just it's really nice hang out together because we're all so busy all the time very possible and by the way our restaurant just got out one eight and one I waited one eighty and they're really on for that for the day which will let's do this let's give the restaurant a plug what where's the restaurant what's it what's its name Mary Beth Almon Ave in Hingham and I waited on you years ago in your case yeah it was that in the one of the hideout is that is that in a tell your story it's it's the wahlburgers restaurant in absolutely yeah it's it's it's wahlburgers right it's not Wahlberg is a domino V. the they all have to need to have the mom yeah mom did I waited on you years ago sure okay great to give you a great deal give you decent tip I hope absolutely and I was so excited because I always listen to you so I was so excited to wait on you I remember I remember the rent the restaurant I was there I was there was I think my L. jacked already from college type who is friends with yellow who who's one of the wall breaks the the the great got it I got a sticker for my car so we got the menu there are few weeks ago and I eat on it all the time and I love it so much I guess stamina Brussel sprouts it's amazing if that's still is looking a little worn in the car I do me a favor drop me a note and I'll send you some replacements okay I will I'd love one of Sears anyone wants a it's Dan ray voice of reason sticker for their car just send me a self addressed stamped envelope make it easy on me and I'll fire a couple in the in the in the mail to but Mary Beth you don't have to set the self a just sentence Mary Beth from Hanover and I'll send it right out I promise okay you know and I just wanna say that Shannon was a doll by the way as you recall yeah my god she was a dog yeah can you imagine how much courage it takes if you're twelve years old to dial the leave of all right absolutely I love we get well young people particularly kids that is that's great there's a young kid that calls into I think is like eighteen or nineteen eighty calls and every once in awhile and so intelligent I love looking I can't member's name but he always had so much and he's just so smart you know I think you talked about with the B. Harry from from Walpole right so yeah I think it is Harry from Walpole Norwood and I was listening to him he's a very smart kid we have a lot of lot of greatly rated great listeners great callers may Beth thanks very much I love you suggestions we'll see it will all get through this so you know it's just everybody enjoy you know your friends your family thanks Dan absolutely thanks for about talked to since they had everybody in the restaurant have a great night excellent bye let's keep going to galas situate I know Galen situate hi Gail how are you tonight thanks for checking it hello again Dan I've been listening to the pastoral forty five minutes in art I listen I heard what mark and Matthew had to say my lord Matthew seems to feel like he has entitlement because he knows people in China yeah I can get on the internet and get to know some people in China doesn't make any difference okay so coronavirus here's are want to say my concern actually moved back up I'm into question earlier in the show you're asking how are we dealing with it and maybe in terms of our work I cannot get in home I have to work I have to show up at work based on what I do so there's that hello my concern about this whole virus Dan is is how it's going to affect us financially and I'm hoping and praying to god that we do not have a crash because the Dow went down a thousand points today I think was today until it went down two thousand today we're officially in a bear market no no don't let gale here's the deal okay here's the deal this is going to come back D. this is not what we dealt with with nine eleven we got through nine eleven we got through the great stock market crash we got through the the recession of two thousand eight so we're going to be okay here and I think we need to focus on the positive it does none of us any good anyone who's selling stocks today in my opinion is making a huge mistake a huge mistake I don't know if we're at the bottom but I know we're a hell of a lot closer to the bottom as someone said to me today they went out to the top so just yet yeah that that that that crash we had in two thousand eight two thousand nine with the game changed answer everybody people lost thousands in there for one K. H. my concern is financially I just hope it doesn't it doesn't I'm just hoping we don't end up in another recession because of this right click the button on the only way that the only way that they lost thousands in their four oh one K. is if they sold in there for a one K. remember you're not supposed to sell out if your one K. when you think about it you're supposed to hold that into you reach seventy and a half right originally I remember people seeking their four one K. and then when the crash came they lost most of it that's what I remember was it was anyway yeah go ahead I just want to say is a four oh one K. is supposed to put the money in and then you write you if you decide to withdraw from it early you're going to pay a penalty so yeah you have to say that money is I put that away so the market went down just what sixty five hundred points and it was up as high as twenty nine thousand men couple weeks ago so anyone who was in the the the stock it in with a four oh one K. in the two thousand seven two thousand eight two thousand nine did dip quadruple what they had there in in in in it at that time okay well okay it took only the four one K. and I mean I'm talking about it could adversely affected financially in other ways I guess it's my concern as well you know we can sweep a start we basically go every we go by what Wall Street journal personable Shakespeare John works on for fear so I don't think I want to say is I think we should we need to keep a closer eye on China unemployment China should distance China both of the country they gave us the words back in two thousand three remember that one should do we need you may also get did they also give us the avian flu as well yes I was gonna regards just gonna bring that up yeah I just I'm not I've never been to China but I read about it in the news I read and I watch the news and I just think we need to keep a closer eye on these people that's all I wanna say right not but just just to be clear it's not the people of China it's that dictatorial government over there that yeah yeah they didn't let we wanted to have CDC people go in there earlier and and the Chinese the Chinese government kept our CDC people out of China yes so they try to recycle over there hi rich this call to be honest it's not mainly along the mainland China I believe the mainly in China are part of China's still would allow the people to have internet well no YouTube no and by the way our high tech companies many of them Facebook and in all of these companies which are trying to restrict in many cases the free speech here in America they they comply with China they abet China and and they they prevent what China they cooperate with China with China tells them that they don't want to see as a government can you imagine if if they cooperate with Donald Trump Donald Trump or or a president Biden said to Facebook keep all of the critical stuff about me off your your your websites that's what that's what these websites deal with China seriously right right because is one point is one point two billion people they want to get into that market yeah look at the NBA last fall the NBA no hotel to China there was one general manager of the Houston Rockets who made a comment which was sympathetic to the protesters in Hong Kong and he hated member he was excoriated for it you're right on the money I don't I I don't want I don't fully MBA but I believe you don't forget to keep an eye on them thanks Gail talk too soon stay well stay safe talk to you soon all right have a great night six one seven two five four ten thirty triple eight nine two nine ten thirty Hey I'm Lovin tonight's conversation I hope you are as well please feel free.

"Tell C. for Curtis Booker is known as C. for professionally and he put together that musical interlude which I think does really capture what nights that is all about Chillin on the back porch of north America's back porch and we're exchanging thoughts and ideas we can do it in a civil fashion certainly on something like this which does represent a potential danger to everyone of us everyone of us Davis in Brockton Dave thanks for calling in your next on nights your thoughts Dave hi Dan how are you doing tonight we're doing great thanks for calling go right ahead I I kind of wonder about what people have been thinking about up until this this virus outbreak my parents were raised through the depression so I was raised in a family of preppers as you would my call we always had home canned vegetables and we conquered and we finished in addition to going to the supermarket and now all of a sudden I don't understand the connection between this virus and toilet paper well when we have snow storms and then you go to the store there's no bread there's no milk and there's no eggs I never understood the connection between snowstorms but that's what they do I just I I just want to know who's getting all the French toast that's the whole idea yeah I guess you're always ready got French does forever I don't know I just think you know if you if you don't if you wait wait till last minute if you end and then you go to Walmart or wherever and the shelves are bare and then you scream bloody murder because it's not fair yes this is the way I was taught is if you need one by two sure you got to have a little bit of a but I but I don't think you need a hundred rolls of toilet paper you know for a family of four please be realistic the people of middle member the people used to have you know you know they they would have beans and and canned goods and I mean I'm talking about enough like to live in case of a nuclear disaster in the bottom line I guess is who wants to live it there isn't a clear disaster I don't know but call me a cynic twelve it said it if if there's a nuclear disaster you can't you'll never have enough no matter what yes so you know you can ridicule ridiculous people if you want nine I I do have a significant stashing at home to make sure that my wife and I can get through pretty much no matter what happens you know they would be if they lock everything down for a couple of weeks and you know you can't go anywhere you can't do this you can't do that okay so what I fire up the grill I've got burgers I've got bacon I've got sausage that I got everything I need we do not leave your address because if this happens I'm coming over your house okay yeah you'll be you'll be more than welcome there is a day that I beat you again you injected a note of sanity into the conversation tonight again you're right you you want to have a some simple enough it one of enough but the same time the stock all nuts on this that's all I mean let's see where we we we let's see where we are tomorrow let's see where we are next week we're all in this together for better or worse let's sum let's care for our neighbors and I think mayor Walsh at tonight check on some of your elderly neighbors if someone's not feeling well you know just let's let's some let's get through this together whatever it is whatever we don't know for sure I think we're in a better position than many people realize and if I had to take his X. game tomorrow night I'd give them to you but I I don't I don't watch basketball so thanks anyway I did not talk soon okay have a great night have a great night you too let's keep it rolling they're going to go to Frank in Wakefield Frank next unless I were the ladies this hour with a bunch of women callers and then dropped off go ahead Frank hi Dan Frank from Wakefield how's it going couldn't be better what's your take on this Frank well I'll tell you what I mean I've been listening to you Dave manning didn't WBZ TV and radio since I was a little boy my brother was born in the blizzard of seventy eight we're seeing all these things I'm almost fifty now and I mean I think it's I think the best thing is is to err on the side of caution got canceled I mean we know what I I nobody while she doesn't like the parade in South Boston it's a headache they have you know what I mean well I I think he likes it I think he likes it as a mayor I think he likes it is a participant there have been controversies in the past can this group marched in that group who's in charge ed but and those are all kind of in the review mirror he's dealt with snowstorms what do you do when you got a blizzard that that has happened and whoever would have thought that the that we would miss a cell of St Patrick's day parade in South Boston because of this but I do cancel the one in Ireland so they did all they did not have a morning that morning yeah I agree with all that so what are you know you said a few minutes ago you said a few minutes ago we're better off than a lot of people knew damn right we're better off than China we're better off than it was I found out tonight it we invented the word quarantine and I thought that was interesting because they have the whole country and watch them but by the way just I don't know exactly what that means because when when someone says to me the whole country is in lockdown are they saying that nobody can come out of the house I doubt that you know kids are they saying that nobody can travel from where they live to another community I don't know what eight if you're trying to definitely restricted public and you know cats rabble okay well again I'm not I'm gonna look into that tomorrow because again when you say a lot down some people do I think about a prison they have a lockdown is a ride in the prison everybody is in the cell and they locked themselves I'd I'd love to talk I'll find out by tomorrow what exactly it least doing and so we'll talk about it I just think that knowledge is knowledge is important but but as far as as far as that goes I mean this is what we know in the last twenty four to thirty six hours you know the number one numbers doubled part of it was because of the Biogen convention down at the Marriott long wharf I think fourteen or fifteen people were exposed yeah I am a I'm fifty years old but I got a four year old little boy you know I made sure and I I don't I don't I don't want to go to work I I work around a lot of people I I'm not I I work on power lines by truck plans with a different crew on the daytime and I work at night yep so there's all kinds of exposure did you did you know you can pick this up I definitely think the fact that it takes three to five days that you can carry this and not show symptoms you know communities credit is you know it it it rationally it makes sense to me yeah everybody is on the side of caution the ultimate impact and then there's this thing looks back and die down I think everybody is is on the cautious side now I think this thing will die down and we won't have great great numbers I mean you know you said Boston is that a Medical Center we know that Colin and for the most part are countries like that but you know I don't want I don't want to pick this up at work take it home and then have a good night yes but at the same time so you're going to go to work tomorrow now I'm sick as a dog right now I got running those car then I wouldn't go to work you and I will write in I will write work what I'm I'm at work the end I'm convinced you should ignore coronavirus well how do you know him you should hold your your you were you were basically doing the exact opposite of what you just advocated Frank what do you how do you know you don't have to run a virus okay I know the symptoms I know gonna get chronic bronchitis this time here at the okay so so that's all and I don't and I don't and I don't have a fever and I have called my doctor okay with you but if you ran into me right now you would be like geez this guy really has a cold you wouldn't want to bump elbows with me well I guess what's in it I'm fortunate I can isolate myself that worked in tandem but here's my question now is is my question yeah you know how many cases with their I. worldwide well why I I know it's a hundred countries it might be three thousand I've heard different numbers I I don't know none of this is it does it well what I wanna do been about four thousand deaths the number of cases worldwide a hundred and fourteen thousand you know many people live in China of course is the balance would be delicious taking the data that's all I'm suggesting I hope you feel better don't bring anything home to your wife for your kiddos okay I'm up on my break and I got a lecture on Frank thanks so much for calling you have a great night stay safe out there going to congratulate Colleen Russo of revere Colleen won the four pack last hour.

senator from believe Montana but Mike in Mansfield hi Mike how are you tonight I'm fine how bout yourself I'm doing just great do we need to do we deserve to know the make up of our population yeah I I think we do but I'll tell you Mike this thing I don't like it the way the president is going about it is just another it if the date is there obviously we have estimates on the amount of illegal aliens and citizens in the country already I'm not sure how good that day here at the where it comes from I really don't know well I tell you were part of income so they can help you real quickly for many many years everybody thought eleven million twelve me love Emily twelve million in the Yale did a study don't know what their protocol was what the procedure was last fall instead we have anywhere from twenty to twenty five million people so was almost well once twice as much it was an extraordinary of jump and therefore you got a spectrum whole opinion from eleven to as much as twenty five and as for me I don't know what the basis of that twenty five eleven is I I don't know how they go about doing it but if the information is there and it's really important to the president he couldn't instead of working on the census question you could have gather this information in any that you don't have to make it a dividing now and you know I was told by the now discuss it I just I just about it maybe he didn't realize it was going to be dividing issue because it's been on past census so he didn't they always gonna be that big a deal as a matter of her sense of regret is sixty years no it's a half years Dan just explain to spin on the five year census so it's been there it's so my guess is they didn't think is going to be that big of a deal and then once it turned into a try it would be it I don't okay hang on let me finish let me finish I don't think he thought it was that big a deal and then once it went to Supreme Court came back like okay fine we'll do it this way and they've they've found another way to do it and it's the Democrats that made it that big a deal not not the White House well one independent Democrat or a Republican but I I think it's silly both sides sit there and very like you difference anyway that whatever data comes out on the sense that there was a Democrat they can use it for their benefits I didn't say that like let me ask you okay you're an independent why don't you think I'm curious what you think why do you think the two sides have done again so deeply on this are the Democrats clearly we're very happy with spring court decision obviously the trump administration I suspect was deeply disappointed what's at stake in your from from where you're sitting from where you're standing what what why do you think there's this division politically over an issue that to me seems reasonable I am I being unreasonable with that or not tell me the truth well I I think the reason is on the senses it won't really get a chance I can remember when I worked in issuing the commonality eighty very construction and right now we have a lot of illegal Irish I'm Irish myself need to come in by the way Mike I'm actually also an Irish citizen that same year so and talking to some of the guys and some guys I work with they're like we're we're not gonna answer senses when it comes out when that any of that so low is if you're not old choosing it hi neck in the instance dense really not getting up this is a question is you can be legal that is an obvious I mean on citizen right I mean this is to buy your US of the you know I had a there was a citizen for years so I think so what is this what we want from you where you're standing from your perspective what are the motives where the motor needs ani on I think the motive mostly on the card against is that it will it will really was not going to tell us what's on a census question who is a citizen who's not because and why would you get the answer then why would they care for someone to answer but what will work when your arm you put the cell but why is the other side making a big deal about it because they know once I will always ask for what happens when you know you've seen it on social media see an okay so let's let me ask you this Mike in your opinion again you're a guy in the middle he said do you think that the motives on both the Republican and the democratic side are both but nine or do you think that both malevolent what what or or is one benign and one malevolent in your opinion no I think the book will mullet malevolent Amanda both they got their own a gender and I think the president is the massacre at at finding you ignited in the in the end okay we're talking about now right I mean so this data is there in it we all know it's there right I mean I know it's somewhere to get the compilers somewhere you could one out on your own you said and I can't be the present in no you get the status somewhere else you could just is that important you get your bill getting up ever press conference and lot of money to do what he's doing in my gases and I'm just guessing just like you're guessing because neither of us know what's in his mind and I'm guessing that thought it was easy just to add a question to this sense is to get the information instead of paying federal workers to bring in all the data that's what I think is going on here well I don't I don't but I think what's going on is just like you know I think you mostly use trying to ignite a a baby and get people fired up I don't think he I think maybe the closes with luggage is I don't think about at least you know this pain you know crazy off by other one of his rally that mammograms became elected because he is a very Christian but he knows that that's something to get his side fired up and I think this is just another thing is why would a Mike what what he meant was that what what do you mean he's not Christian you are I don't think he's here is another look at another a good Christian myself but I don't I don't think you you don't think he's until he became running for president I don't think he's ever really been aligned with the evangelicals and now you know you no no no no you actually right about that but the bottom line is I mean he's also he's also a politician and if his support if part of his support is coming from whatever based it's coming from any and he feels that having having knowledge into that and his what should you do if if all of a sudden he has a rally it works out wherever and half the crowd as evangelical and they want to say a prayer Judy say Hey wait a sec we sat quite sec you know I've no no not baby but he he wants to be free I I was surprised by this and I went there with this of going back like rap you look elected but I think blind sided with the another you know saying that one of those rallies beforehand you don't find that a little disingenuous no it sure is should I mean if the people at the no I need to see what you're saying I'm saying they're not evangelicals but that doesn't mean they're not Christian that they don't they don't believe in god to go to church I don't think they are not I'm not I'm not saying that but it is the difference between believing in god is not going to church and now have been a political rally he's a president and an audience that has been cello goals then yeah I I just to me we had not a rapper Rick Mike we're heading down a rabbit hole there and I I don't think we're I think we're talking past each other so let's let's give it a shot we did it for seven minutes I don't think we've we've got an agreement here I think you made interesting points and we'll continue on okay okay thank you very much thank you very much let me go to Tom in Dorchester we're getting away from that the issue here Tom go ahead hi Dan and Nancy and Tonya are you against you stole my son a lot about the the politics about the year doubled in media representation in the different states where are you this is this I I I definitely want to know who's a service and was not answered I think they should use the verify I love to see Donald Trump what thousand a year edge is going to stop these are the other people you legal from coming in I I especially illegal criminals as O. R. and Mr determine in this country no we we talked earlier tonight with the Boston police commissioner of bright about MS thirteen and by the way a president Obama early today there's a group of progressives who are demanding that Joe Biden apologize for the number of illegals who were deported under the Obama administration I don't know why he needs to apologize maybe they should ask president Obama to apologize I this seems to me it seems to me kind of weird that at this point everybody's the everybody's got their the makers yeah you know our old are ya gonna lose his life in my hand while it's terrible things up president Obama did I mean I mean he everyone in peace I mean he did some terrible terrible things when he was president and nobody said anything he did exactly what will Tom how he did exactly what he promised he would do he said that he would bring fundamental change to America and I think that he did bring fundamental change to America and I think a lot of people like you were upset with that change let people know voted for don for both for president trump for president Obama yeah he wanted to bring fundamental change but he didn't you tried it tried like a bomb a kid was a fundamental change I think that whole and the address will so it did so many things that were really bad Lois Lerner and the always name holder I recall that given weapons still yeah Jack tells me I don't think Tom yeah I don't think that he was giving weapons to the cartels to help the cartels I think it was a stupid crazy program that somehow someone came up with I still don't understand why but again I'm sure if he did what he thought was in the interest his but his interest of the country is he perceived it I mean presidents take us in different directions yeah I know that you strongly disagree with it but I don't think president Obama said I'm going to do this to miss the country up I think he really believed that we needed to have some program called obamacare what what constitutional obamacare centers on constitutional and abortions on costs will will will also free quote but in both cases toward what do you were I agree with that the Supreme Court is the one that decides whether it's unconstitutional abortion is const it is allowed it is it's not constitutional but it's not unconstitutional ordered would it or roe versus Wade never would have been decided that way in a lot of that message all I know what to say but yeah hello this is Madison I did yeah I don't know.

"People. Curtis Booker let grind you gears. I'll take book it doesn't make us. I love that bump. Everybody's that Bob -solutely. Let's go to Linda Linda, welcome. What grind you gears Linda? Hi, I can I follow up with what you said about what ground unity is. Yes, I was going to go down to the fire department with a donation because I had been getting calls. Good. But I didn't think that would be politically correct. Look, they always have if you go down with a donation and say, look, I just got solicited national organization do. Do you have a, a charitable local guys? I want to give you a local guy. Sure. Just go down. And by a couple of pizzas. Yeah. Senate. All right. Linda, what grind you gears? Well. Ground. My did last time. I was on cars that don't have headlights, particularly black ties at night that Dak night. I almost had accident. Oh, Linda, thank goodness. You didn't have a car accident. How close? Out, take a right. Coming down the straight way, I had to right away. And I didn't see it. Until that's a stealth car. You know, Linda, I happen to believe that you probably have a very careful driver. Am I right? Or wrong on that. I pretty good. I'm I, I did have how many accidents, have you had lender in the in the last five? Maybe to maybe too many years, they will little does nothing serious. Right. Was serious. Oh, no. Yeah. I, I walked in both at all parties walked, but the car had seen better days, who was replaced, we would fault in that one. Yes. Linda's one of the most we have I was, I would brush graded, I went through a red light. Will you just pay attention or did you go through the red light intentionally definitely not a deadly. Okay. So you frustrated distracted. And what did you hit a what hit you a car? They had the right away. Okay, you you're on this person. I, I would have blamed it on the other guy if I was you. Getting back to that this. So I bought it up. I said, you know what can we do about these could you put out public service announcement? How can we will putting on Email or a text, or shutting emergency warning or something? To run that will run that suggestion by public service department. Please stay hit and I talked to them and we can't do anything. Something we gotta get the black cars. Get their headlights on. Just say dot cars dot com. Okay. At dusk is supposed to be the lead side and someone said, well, it was probably because the automatic lighting lights headlight, thank didn't come on yet. But when I did I. Yeah. They turned them on the automatically and they. You know the regular life. It was a radio like they have to turn on. All right. Okay. So we go to let's try, we'll try to we'll try to maybe get something get some action for you. Okay. And please define what dusk is. And also, what about rain situation? Thank you. Thank you very much. Would points. Thanks, lynn. The six one seven two five four ten thirty triple eight nine to nine thirty Chuck is in New York, Chuck help us out, what Greig us. I got two one is when you're trying to talk on the radio and people are trying to talk over you that really grinds Mike. Here's sometimes that happens. Avid listener. Distracted driving and or under the influence of driving. Perfect case example, I was headed out till the other night guy came down in offramp. I'm gonna tractor trailer. He never made the turn at the bottom, he bounced off the side of my trailer. Dan? Many ran for another, fifty three miles I called the state police three times never caught up to him. He got off an exit ramp over by buffalo. I'm like I said, I'm gonna tractor trailer though. I know I know. I'm chasing this guy down the road. And we finally got him. Stop five cops after ran one of them off the road because they were coming north and he was two times the legal limit. Wow. Wow. Queue times what time of day? It was two o'clock in the morning. Just left the Kasai just left the casino and New Hampshire tags. And I'm from New Hampshire. Absolutely. It drives me looping. Wow, that's damage to my truck, but I- ripped his mirror lately off. You know what I mean, I would think so. Yeah. So he ended up in the I'm assuming under arrest. Oh, yes. Able to watch him go through the I'm sure they gave him the sobriety test. He wasn't able to perform, and he couldn't stand up to police officers get once they cut them head to carry them back to the cruiser. They had to take him back to the station for the actual Breathalyzer. And you chased him for fifty three miles in attractive frailer? I certainly did. I and when he got off I actually was tempted, not to go. But, you know I've seen what drunk drivers through to people you. Good. I was I was determined. How let me ask you this. What speed will you guys are moving along the throughway. Well on the throughway we're doing about sixty eight but when we got on the back roads, we're in a thirty doing sixty eight and he was pulling away from me. Why am I was on the phone with the place? I mean, I let him know I said, look, you call the state police, I've called them four times, and they haven't even shown up, and, you know, sixty miles, God forbid, if I had run a car off the road they would have been there, you know, five minutes later but it is what it is. We'll check I hope everybody should give the, the big the big trucks, wide birth. You guys have a tough job. And without you guys would go to the grocery store, and they'd be nothing there. So ain't no doubt. A person deals with comes on a truck. Let me ask you this going. Three fifteen down eighty one pounds in three and a half months, buddy. That was, I was going to ask you that eighty one pounds God, love, you, Chuck stick with it. Stick with it. Definitely, you're going to be a shadow of your old self. This is over. Hey, Chuck Congratula. I looked at look forward to meeting, you someday, my friend. Thanks so much. All right, Dan, thanks. Thanks. They stay safe. Stay. Well, six one seven two five. Four thirty triple eight nine to nine hundred thirty the question of the hour. What grinds you'll gears weaken back rob, we're gonna play that, that open. One more time. So people know we're talking about what grinds you gears, just something little in you life. There's a bunch of things that grind my gears. I told you earlier one of them, but I'd love to hear from you. What grinds use people who don't know where Delaware is people? Don't know Delaware is, I'll tell you who's gears that grime Sione dollar has a lot of small towns like y'all do, I know y'all think of Delaware's being this east, first of all, probably dollar. But anyway. He's a truth teller. He's a truth teller. I mean, he's courageous to confront islands and tell them with an accent with a fixed an accent, next president United States, ladies and gentleman. Does that grind you gears coming back on? Nightside. Nightside with.

"Nice. Can get the dulcet tones of seaboard Curtis Booker and his backup singers. Thank you folks, very much that does really I think captured the spirit of nightside we can agree to disagree. Reasonable people can do that. Let's see, Sherry is in Cambridge in Sherri joins us next. Hi, share next on the ringcentral nightside Kona Langa run head. Look it, it's only the United States on the embassy. No matter where in United States year nine to stars and stripes. Now, the other thing I've seen many unto Caesar around our own embassies around the world in their beautiful one flag is fine. I we're we are on the same page. Sherry, it's, it's interesting that some it looks as, if there is some long term, longtime State Department employees who have decided that they will do what they wanna do it respective, what the officials State Department policy is. I wonder if some people may end up being fired, or if maybe some folks would like to be fired, so they could then go on a lot of shows and say that they're, they're they're points points of view of been suppressed by the Trump administration. Interesting. I don't know. Just living in very turbulent times, though. We, we certainly are and. Thank God you're on the air every night. I thank God that this folks like you who listen to Nancy and me every night. And. See, I don't you know, I meant to say hi to both of you back. "The nice. Can. Cbo Curtis Booker. Thank you very much with the backup support really does look forward to that every night. He Curtis great guy and really talented really Talia and put that song together any has all the elements of what we're all about here. So we had Dan from Brookline and Dan, you're going to be next dropped off. Come on. I want to hear from you Brookline residents out there were trying to help you out tonight. This is what Brooklyn Brooklyn Brooklyn, Brooklyn. Brooklyn Brooklyn knights in Brooklyn. My fellow citizens from Brooklyn. Right. If you wanna tell us exactly, I think Brookline Ville. No, I don't know figure it out. Give us a call a particularly Brookline. That's a good thing Brooklyn. Dan from Brooklyn. You were next up. We want to get to you. Let's go next to Ed in worser Ed, thanks for calling in your taking all of this. Ed. Hi, I guess my first comment would be. The colors. Unusual tonight, some unusual calls something if we had to submit an EMMY nomination for a program with the, the strangest set of callers, I think we would be very close to winning it tonight. I'll tell you wind up in congress. Some of these collars, Emily qualified. They're putting them on the intelligence committee. That's, that's the way I would say congress did today did you? Did you congress spent the entire what talent reading Mueller report out loud today on the your tax dollars at work? For a couple of days. He was released with an ankle bracelet. GPS GPS. Yeah. Hope it has a blinking red light on it. So he can keep writing squeaky. In brooklyn. They'll look after that. I'm sure they'll be. Absolutely. Sure, there's ankle bracelet has a blinking red light on. I think they should give him one of the new green line by bikes. Also these the bird by bird bags, whatever they also it's free likes Brooklyn. Actually, I really wanted to address that caller from framingham who is about an hour ago. The shopkeepers finding him have to put up with this. My answer to have outraged about that is he is outraged about this differential is okay? But answer to him would be if you do the things that need to be done to cut down on the high crime rate in framingham and the much lower. But maybe increasing crime rate in Brooklyn. You're gonna get a lot of people in Brookline in Cambridge in new in wealthy and they're going to write big checks to the Civil Liberties Union lawyer lawyers, and they're got to write in the globe. And they're gonna hold fundraisers. And the thing is this criticism of people like John in framingham will support them will agree with them. But the difference is they go home at night to Brookline and Newton and Cambridge and wealthy were those things don't affect them. Framingham. Those things do him and the people who live in. People like him to fall for that scam. And shame and formed plan as long as they say that they don't have to take the consequences of they'll keep doing it June. I think I think that at the heart of John's concerns was that somehow us doing this story in raising the concerns Jimmy concern, that, that he felt we will calling the whole marijuana legalization marijuana interdisciplinary, and we weren't trying to do that. And it was so frustrating because of what I said to him when I said to him, if there was break ins in your neighborhood. Would you like to see an additional police present a higher profile police presence he saved? Yes. I thought that would have ended the Meno, but no. And the fact that my taxes, which are outrageous Lee high in Brooklyn goes to make sure or part of it's supposed to go to make sure why we have a good school system to that..

"America's. Pelle Curtis Booker or see for Curtis put that together with Ray. I was watching the gym pretty little absolutely Curtis. Does a great job he doesn't. And he if he picks up on the lines of the station and put it on the lines of the show, North America's back porch. Where people can agree to disagree. He got it. All. Talented guy. We've talented people. Okay. Let's get to the calls for the mayor and the school superintendent, and I'm going to ask everybody to try to be as direct and as brief as possible. Now, we do have, of course, Michael hanging on the line. No idea. What Michael's going to want to save it? Michael Europe for a cigarette. You first tonight on the ringcentral nightside caught a line with your mayor and the new school superintendent in Boston. Superintendent for coming for the first female city of Boston schools. Second, michael. Yeah. Live in. I I. Two. Go used to the east Boston fighting said this was the first major fight you've been at. No, I didn't say I might say, no, I wouldn't say the first major. There's no question about it. The my my first major fire was that was in two thousand fourteen where we lost. The second one. Tonight. What's what do you drink tonight? Come on. Tonight. Correct. So noted Michael much. Appreciate the call. Have a great night six seven to five point swinging tonight, by the way, she pretended. That's one of his friends. Yeah. Yeah. They had no idea what he wanted to ask you, let's go to Jeanne Charleston. Gene you. Other ringcentral she's much nicer. Go ahead. Deta? I'd like to congratulate the superintendent on her position she has a wonderful who actually listens. And I like to think that even though I didn't have children I do recognize important of educating the children, I think that if some of these children that now adults and getting in trouble and committing crimes like they do at had a better education more benefits outweigh that might be a less of this trouble with seeing rightly so I wish you luck and be well, all of you. And I hope you have a long maybe more than thirteen years. Maybe fifteen you'd be well Jean. Thank you. Call six seven two five four ten thirty triple eight nine to nine thirty. Dave, you're next on the ringcentral nightside caller Lenka read ahead. Hello. This is Dave. Move established gerrad ahead. I'm calling. I'm a product of the Boston public schools. I attended the Gacy's school in to make a plan at no longer exists. My sister is a graduate of the girl's Latin school, and I give full kudos to Latin school yourself. Thank you. I wanted to emphasize I've been a schoolteacher quite a few years, and I really feel that one of the major things you missing. I listen to the new superintendent talk about all of the programs to bring up the the lower end of the accomplishment. And I think that the one thing she didn't mention and it's critical from what I've seen is. You have seven hours a day that parents have them seventeen hours a day. I can say is direct correlation between two parent to married parents family. We know that Dave, I think you stating the obvious. What's you question? The question is, well, I don't think that superintendent emphasize that. But. Saying the sun rises in the east and sets in the west, Dave. I mean, obviously if a kid comes out of a strong household with a couple of parents, heat prob, he she might be a little bit more advantage than a kid who comes out of a more difficult home situation. We we all when you look at you. Population. Dave. Dave, look, we're not doing sociology one. If you have a question be happy to take it. If you wanna do sociology one, call me up some nine we have a longer conversation pre sheet, the call let me just just quickly things day talked about was the school day when I get elected in two thousand thirteen we had the short a school in the country. We were able to negotiate that and no longer have the show to school in the country and just for the people. And fifty two percent of the families the heads of households family families in our city women. So we have a lot of single parent families as far as in our city. I don't think that you know, when we think about education our kids, whether you have two parents in the house, so one parent in the house, we live at your grandmother would not going to we don't care about that. And that should not impact how our kids get educated the buffalo schools back to the phones, we go we go to James, James your next. The I grow with Boston. Mayor Marty Walsh, the newly Newt bosses school superintendent, Brenda Casella, go right ahead. Okay. One point. I heard the last idiot make those let me address this to the MIR J don't be the next. Okay. And you don't need to call people idiots here. Just just make this make this point. I used to be a long time resident Boston I left, and the reason why I left because I got tired of being a law by and being harassed by police over stupid stuff mazing when you leave the city of Boston eagle to another city that has crime and drug abuse. Ironically, not walking me because their their kids, and he looked like them. But that nobody got pulled over. So my question is this. If people want to fight climate, Boston real criminals, people if paid by how many kiddie porn raised me bus as opposed you know, arrest in the working guy going home give him a ticket. So you got to money go after those people in in heaven on the cups. Question here, James or we're compete speech. Okay. Well, here's my question. Number one in the city is it's crime or just money out working. I really fit question James much show where we live now. And Lynn, I apologize for. If you had a bad experience in the city of Boston. I think that one of the things that commission across is doing every day in a police department is working on. I would hope our number one job is community service. I would much rather have police officers focusing not have to worry about crime in have zero crime in the city, Boston and really focus on community service and their job is to is to keep the people of Boston safe in the job is to respond when when the people of Boston need to systems and a lot of times police officers get calls situation that might not be a criminal situation. It could be something in a house working with with families with addiction or what have you? So I think kind of stereotyping every police officer the same way is really unfair. You know, we work very hard in the city of Boston. On on all kinds of different policies. And I if you had a bad experience, I want to this that let me say James is a frequent flyer on this program. He he is very capable and talented at at asking questions like that. And he sees things to one side of the prism. And I'm not surprised by his question. We'll take a break..

"Killing on a nice. Thank you. Curtis. Booker C four always helping us out here on nightside. So look we've referred to this as the Jesse smollet case. I think it's a Jesse smollet fiasco, and I think that we have to get the truth as to what happened here. And I think that it's going to be very difficult to get the truth because the the documents the underlying documents have been sealed, this was a grand jury case. And this is someone described as the equivalent of disturbing the peace. It was it was much much more than disturbing the peace as far as I'm concerned. This was a filing a false police report that resulted in I believe they're estimating one hundred and thirty two thousand dollars worth of resources from the Chicago police department, which is appropriate. When you're talking about a an attack upon citizen, and particularly when it is up ostensibly, a hate crime rocky rocky love to get your take on this tonight. Rocky. How are you? Iraqi, I mean, hey, Dan, you're an attorney, correct. Yes, sir. Where are we going as a country man with with two twin boys? Well, what do I teach them? You know this kid. He's dead. They got him dead to write lying. She hates. Trump hates Trump supporters. Staged. I hate white crime felonies day, God, I'm now they seal everything and the DA or whatever whoever she is say, she's recusing herself. If she's friends with somebody. She re recused herself. And then she reentered the the case, so interesting. So I mean in the scheme of life. This is nothing. But as to what's going on in the world, it's a big deal, and they seal it, I mean, what do you mean what the kid was it's felonies. And remember this anything that is sealed theoretically can also be unsealed. I mean, if if if for some reason the federal government wanted to go in there with the US Justice department, and the FBI there could be certainly a way to get to the truth of all of this. The problem it gets cut you out such a slap in the face to all the guys and the police detectives and all the crops to do the diligence to try to give people a fair shake. And then you've got these people that are buddy somebody buddies with somebody and it's sitting in the in the systems face. I don't get it. I mean every day job us, you know, letting illegals run out the back door courts. And and I mean, it's nuts. Whatever what happened win. It all go wrong. Well, I don't have the the the the comprehensive answer. And I couldn't do that for you on the show. I will tell you tonight. If you wanna be really appalled by a case. There's. Does a story out of Kansas tonight. Okay. A forty six year old man from Mexico. Was convicted of raping a eleven year old child. I'm not sure if it was a boy or a girl, and he served I guess it was nine years in prison. For this rape of an eleven year old, okay? His name was Simone were shelter vantage. He was a he he served his time again convicted of rape of a child under the age of fourteen and aggravated intimidation of a witness. He he upon his parole was turned over to federal authorities, and he was deported in February. And he is already came back into the country within a matter of days. Days. He literally nine days after he was deported in February. He now is back in the Kansas jail. So there's a lot of problems that are going on. But I I just I mentioned that case because we we may talk about that later on or or even or even tonight in the context of immigration. This is an immigration. This is an American high profile American. I mean, make it a lot of money as an actor. Apparently, he's he's had a career onstage, movies, etc. Television series. And for some reason, the the motor that was given was he was trying to pump up his career and and. And I'll let you all of them out to myself personally can call conspiracy whatever they want. I think it's a lot of these Democrats hate Trump's guts. And this is the way of getting back at him. That's all I got to say, thanks. Appreciate it. Very much. Yeah. There are a lot of people who don't like the president. And who really don't like him at all. But if somebody stages a crime a racially charged crime in a city like Chicago has serious crime problems. I mean every weekend for years, we've watched as six or seven or eight or nine young men, many of them African America to the south side have lost the lives. That's a police department that has a lot on their plate and to put a phony racially charged case to claim a phony racially charged case, which the city of Chicago spent just I guess hundreds of man hours on over this two or three week period. That's. It's it's a pretty selfish act on the part of anyone that would do that. And it again, it certainly appears as that is exactly what Jesse smell. I did. Again, you don't give up ten thousand dollars and. If you are innocent as the as the police superintendent, Eddie Johnson said Lee, you're next on nightside talking about the Justin smollet fiasco in Chicago. Well, let's stop beating Bush. We all know what happened here. Okay. And the fact that pretty prominent democratic politicians are champ cars. Left with this guy the trial. I mean this picture of him with prominent democratic politician Oprah Rocco Bob on down. Right. But remember this if I could just for Secondly, you're correct on that. And there have been some suggestions that there were emails and all of that. But a very prominent democratic politician is Rahm Emanuel. Mayor of Chicago. And who used to be President Obama's was President Obama's first chief of staff, he is seemingly as upset about this as you, and I are I'm surprised because the, you know, the democratic Paul. Is an Obama ally. Embarrassed, his city has been embarrassed. He said that that his city suffered a great deal of embarrassment as the mayor. He he doesn't wanna see his police department spending tens of thousands of dollars chasing a figment of someone's imagination. I think the police department basically what I do is office say what the hell is going on. And you know, I know you're allies though, baba, but cannot let this what slide now we suggest that you go in front of the cameras and start protesting. This action yourself. Speculate, you speculating. So let me ask you is. How do you think? Let's speculate a little more. How does this get resolved? This. It would seem to me. Not going away. First of all, they already probably no, I'm sure they definitely go US postal service has inspectors which, you know, ever since the early days of you know, Weiss, and and even before they are quick with the investigators to get to the bottom of any kind of. A a terrorist act of the male, you know, fully or otherwise, they already know what he did. They already know. I'm sure what you know, the the benign sources, which was. The they already know that he was you know, the the instigator rebel. If they know that they they should bring federal charges against him for using the mails. Thank you. Equivalent of a terrorist act against himself. Can I think that you know, it's up to the federal government to do. So the step. Well, let's let's let's see what hap let's see what happens certainly, President Trump and his Justice department. They run the FBI. So I if I was Jesse smell at I would not be sleeping real salary tonight. Guys doing victory laps right now that guy saying that, you know. This is not gonna recanting story at one bit still covering yourself at choosing. It has to be taken down. Let's say we'll see what happens Leah. Appreciate your call very direct to the point. Appreciate your honesty. Please keep calling the show have a great night. Six one seven two five four ten thirty triple eight nine thousand nine hundred thirty talking about the Jesse smollet. I'm calling it. The Justice smollet fiasco Sophy Haskell for the city of Chicago. It's certainly an say the police superintendent out there covered himself in glory. Eddie Johnson if I was ever the mayor of any city in America, he could be my police superintendent, we should be very proud of that man Rahm Emanuel. Now, maybe you don't like Rahm Emanuel. But I do believe that Rahm Emanuel feels as upset about this as as he appears I don't think it's an act. Let's open up the BC box office first time tonight. Sorry, there were a little bit late on this..

"Curtis Booker C four and group backup group takes Curtis. That does I believe encapsulate. What this show is all about. So we're talking about the the Jesse smell case is interesting because there's been a development also today in the Bob Kraft case that broke late today. So who you have to high profile individuals, and we will talk about the craft case later, but Bob Kraft, apparently, not only has rejected the plea agreement. Then it proposed done in Florida. But he also says he wants a jury trial. We're going to get to that as well. But it is interesting because despite how different Bob Kraft and Jesse splint are obviously one being a young happens to be gay African American actor the other being an old older Seventy-seven-year-old NFL owner. They both are caught in the criminal Justice system and looks as if Jesse smell lead has extricated himself from a situation that would that would make Harry Houdini. Look proud. I don't know what's going to happen with craft or who knows? Anastasia next on nightside in station. How are you? Fine. I I'm hearing things that are disturbing to me Michelle Obama's name is being mentioned as having a hand in this disturbing. Could you mentioned her a little bit before the show because I wonder does anybody know where that's coming from or anything behind that? Actually, Nancy shack who has stepped out of the studio said that I think NBC is reporting that she former first lady had put the the county attorney they call the state's attorney in touch with the family of Jesse Sma let which caused her to recuse yourself from the case. Now, here's the issue. That doesn't surprise me. Jesse Smolin is well-known actor who apparently either grew up in Chicago or Chicago is home President Obama and first lady came from Chicago. I think that that doesn't surprise me. I don't think there's I don't know that you can connect dots at this point. And at the same time it. It is not uncommon in the criminal Justice system where people put people in contact and he was seen at as well for for a couple of weeks at least as a victim of this vicious. Racist assault. But I mean did Michelle Obama thinks that he's actually not guilty or itchy have used. Her clout to get him off with those. No does not well that sometimes does happen. But there's no suggestion of that. She again, what NBC is reported in Nancy is not in the studio with me. So I might ask her to step back into the studio. But what what NBC is reporting. If I recall while Nancy, categorized it or. Encapsulate would NBC said was that MRs Obama when when the first when the incident first occurred, and it was depicted by Jesse smollet as two white guys in maga-, hats attack him with racial invective and putting a noose around his neck. She he was a victim perceived as a victim. And MRs Obama put him as the victim in touch with the prosecutor. But there's nothing that that NBC story which suggest anything beyond that. I hope you've been picking on what we're talking about. People wanted to wanted to get a clarification on the use of Michelle Obama's name. There's nothing that I heard you say with to suggest that Michelle Obama did anything more than no she put this. She put the state's prosecutor in touch with smarts family, which would be normal in a situation. Now, I well, no it, isn't it. It's not normal for the state prosecutor. To get because these you you don't do that at that point in time. He's the victim. Hold on a second. Let me let me defend Michelle Obama. Okay. Stop the presses. Mrs MRs Obama, could no Jesse Spolete. And obviously if he was in fact, the MRs Obama was chief staff. Okay. Well, her chief of staff, I'm sorry. Her chief of staff knows Jesse smell Ed just like if in Boston Matt Damon a Ben Affleck were attacked somewhere. I'm sure that most of the major politicians in Boston would know Matt Damon Albarn Affleck, and maybe they put the the prosecutor's office, which also deals with the the victims of crime. Most prosecutors offices in America today have victims advocate programs, correct. I don't I don't really know how that works. Well, there are a lot of victims advocate programs. And so it could have been something as innocuous as that. I just I'm not. Yes. Appears to be more than just checking in with the family. First of all, you know, she wasn't checking in with him. She was checking in with his family. He's coming has nothing to do with with this. I mean, he and he didn't it's not like he was an injured. You know, an injured victim that that was convicted. You know? That's when that's when you see prosecutors talking to family members when you have somebody who's who's severely injured something really, I think it's a reach at. This point is interesting that the name has come out. But I'm glad you clarified it. And it wasn't the first lady. It wasn't wizard chief of staff. Right. Yeah. I had nothing to do with that other than the fact that she hired the woman who was the chief and the chief of staff isn't looks like she's not anything wrong either. That's what I'm trying to say, it could be she could be the next door neighbor of the family, and and just put them in contact to reassure them that that he will be that he'll get a fair. She I mean, so personally, which is kind of weird, and to be honest with you, and you know, it's not usually the district attorney himself who goes, you know, it's a victim advocate like you're saying before. So the fact that she established a personal relationship with these people is why she had to recuse herself. Well, I could see I've seen the mayor go to people's homes when when they were the victims of racial assault of seeing that he's not prosecuting. No, I understand that. I understand that. But again, it wasn't for a moment it, well, he wasn't being perceived at that point as involved in the hoax. That's what I'm saying. Now. No, he wasn't. But actually, it's come out that the police from the very first were a little we're a little suspicious of what was going on. But they held their tongue because they wanted to an investigation. So they were suspicious of I think there were a lot of red flags from the get-go. I think there are a lot of red flag. He was he was attacked at two o'clock in the morning. He didn't surrender cell phone. So what it looks like with Kimberly? Fox's that she was I don't know how to put this gracefully. She she. He was a celebrity and she wanted in that's part of it. So that's why she would talk to his family not because she was any great victim witness advocate. The the problem is she should not have done that personally her office too should have done. But I'm saying if there was a famous actor or actress in Boston who is attacked and assaulted. Yeah. In what might have been perceived as a racial assault. Yeah. I guarantee you that you would have politicians, and maybe the district the current district attorney or past district. I have no problem believing that politicians would get involved the district attorney and. Strange. Strange happened. I will be in the minority. Which is fine. I would just say that when you have someone who is perceived to be the victim of a racially. Instigated attack. Okay. That that this? There was a lot of sympathy. I gotta run here. Okay. Oops. Thanks. Thanks for bringing that out. So we're going to disagree on that. I I understand that is smart district. Attorney a smart or smart state attorney will send over the victim's advocate people in all of that. I can see not knowing that the politics of Chicago feel free to disagree with me and agree with sandy six one seven two five four ten thirty triple eight nine hundred ninety thirty. I guess I'm not in a mood to rush to judgment almost anything this week. But but I want to hear from you. You could rush to judgment coming back..

"See four Curtis Booker putting it all together for us. And I do think that in twenty second bumpy doesn't capsule late with nightside is all about now. This is a story that to me is extraordinary. So let me run it by you, those of you who sometimes might think well, Dan's gonna kinda pull my leg in this one. This is I am dead serious on this. Okay. Apparently, there is a new development called drag Queen story hour so at their website. They ask what is drag Queen story. Our many of you, probably when you were young, sir when you were young remember going to the library or maybe having a teacher come in the room when you in the first second grade, and they would read you stories storytime. Well, this is sort of like that except it's very different. Okay. According to the drag screen drag Queen story our website. And by the way since. Nancy you and I talked about this earlier today. Why don't you explain it? Because you probably a better at this than I am what what is it drag Queen drag Queen is a man who dresses like a woman and and performs like that. They can be gay. They can be straight. And he it it can be either one and I have no roof policy drag cooking. And I have no problem with that. If people want to go to a club and see men dressed as women do it in your living room or go out to dinner as a woman. God bless you have a great time. Nothing wrong with that. At all how I draw the line drag Queen story hour, this is from their website. Okay. The group's website is just what it sounds like drag queens reading stories to children in libraries schools in bookstores. Drag Queen story. Our captures the imagination and play of the key word here key phrase, gender fluidity of childhood and give gives kids glamorous positive unabashedly queer role models in spaces like this kids are able to see people who defy rigid, gender, restrictions and imagine a world where people can present as they wish. We're dress up is real. Now. You will be interested to know that this group has chapters in I don't know it looks like about twenty cities worldwide around Boston is the top of the list, Boston, Chicago, Long Island LA, Milwaukee mobile, New Orleans, New York Palm Springs, Puerto Rico, San Francisco San Marcos, Texas, Sweden, Tampa Bay Tennessee Tokyo, Vermont Washington, Westchester county, hit some of them. Okay. Now. What do they do? Well, they do exactly what they said they go in they need with children in libraries and schools in bookstores. Well, this story came to my attention because at the Houston public library. The officials there say they mistakenly allowed a convicted sex offender to read books to small children during a drag Queen storytime event in many parents are wondering what in the name of the Dewey decimal system is wrong with the the librarians there. Okay. The individual in question was Alburto Garza thirty two year old drag Queen who goes by the name Tatiana mallet, Nina. And he was a registered sex offender, according to the department of public safety records Gaza convicted of aggravated sexual assault of an eight year old child in two thousand nine the Houston. Chronicle has reported he received five years probation and community service. Well, anyway. That happened in Houston. In two thousand eighteen a drag Queen in Lafayette, Louisiana admitted all but admitted to city council members that that storytime was about pushing an agenda. This is going to be the grooming of the next generation Santana. Pila Andrews told council members we are trying to groom the next generation. Last year Houston parents filed a lawsuit to stop drag queens storytime, but a federal judge dismissed the case in January. So. Have we headed in Boston? And the answer is the NC. Yeah. Yeah. One is you let folks know when in we're drag Queen story hour or drag crane story our has appeared in Boston. Let's see it has been at the medicine pan branch of the Boston public library. That was oh last weekend we had in Jamaica plain drag drag Queen story, our that was February second and in January. There was one in the lower mills branch of the Boston public library Dorchester center. New member. It wasn't the conman square branch of Dorchester center, oh Charlestown in October. And then last September fields corner in Dorchester. It doesn't seem to be anything listed for a there's no nothing going forward. They just list on their on their Facebook page places. They've been in the last six months looks there. They probably yes. So so will it be your neighborhood next? Now, there's an article this is from may nineteenth of two thousand seventeen and this was out of the New York Times. And this is what the article. Read like this quoted story our lawn. Mommy in me staple had never looked so carful. She stood well over six feet tall. The reader at the Hudson park branch of the new York Public Library in Greenwich Village. This was two thousand seventeen her hide aided by six inch heels on purple patent leather boots her outfit was an oxymoronic neon camouflaged body suit and a purple Tutu tuft of flu shot here. Hope I pronounced that correctly. Curled under a spandex headdress with fabric covered cylinders lined up in a row, like a Keith haring inspired mohawk is she entered the adults clapped politely. But the preschool and kindergarten age children huddled on a rug went wild with the elation typically reserved for a frozen character. That's a Disney movie one toddler screamed and clapped furiously screaming in his mother's lap. My name is harmonica. Sunbeam the reader said and a voice used to loud rooms used to loud roofs as a warm-up. She had the children saying this land is your. And then March vigorously in place. I'm getting you ready for zoom. But she said to laughter from the over six set. She sat down and read aloud from Morris Mickle, white and the tangerine dress by Christine Baldi, Cini Balducci, chino. The book is about a boy who were a beloved dress to school every day at one point Morris. His friends inform him that he isn't allowed to play on their imaginary spaceship because astronauts can't wear dresses. You get you get the drift here. So the question is this Nancy? I know you have that list. It doesn't appear to me that drag Queen story. Our is taking place in suburban Boston. It looks to me like it's all inner city Boston. And it's not in the back bay. It's not in not in Brooklyn's rocks. Green, right. Some of the Tony or suburbs. And I wonder how many of you are aware of this. And I wonder if you think it's a good thing. So we're gonna just open up these phone lines and give you a chance, and if you'd like to have drag Queen story our in your neighborhood, and you'd like to volunteer with love to hear from you. This to me is absurd. This is absolutely absurd. I got nothing against people who want to dress up his drowns. Let them do whatever they are not transsexuals. These are these that's something completely different people who have gone through a medical procedure. Who have a identity sexual identity issue? And our that's not what this is. This is this our men both both gay and straight who dress up as very colorful women. And it's very would you take a five year old to see lot kasha fall or to or to see too often like love, Julie Newmar, would they understand any of it? They wouldn't. And that's the same thing that I think of in story our that they don't under. This is a clown to these children. They don't under. This is somebody who's dressed over the top. They don't know what this is. And why would you do that to a little child? Well, I know the drag screen drag Queen story our tested because they say on their website. They are very honest. It's just what it sounds like drag queens reading stories to children in libraries schools in bookstores. Drug drag Queen story. Our captures the imagination in play of the gender fluidity of childhood and gives kids glamorous positive and unabashedly queer role models. I mean, I think that's what five year old kids need. They don't need role models have police officers and firefighters and soldiers they need a queer role models in spaces and call me salts small minded if you want I'll I'll take the heat in spaces like this kids are able to see people who defy rigid, gender, restrictions and imagine a world where people can present as they wish. We're dress up is real. And it says drag Queen story our events are happening all over the world at library schools. Bookstores museum summer camps after school programs and other community spaces click on the links below to connect to your local chapter. It's your community doesn't have a chapter with got resource to help you organize your own event. And by the way, Nancy. You reached out to them today? Have we heard back? We have not. Okay. So to those of you don't think they will give and they are welcome here any night, and defend this absurdity. Can I point out by the way, this is these are public libraries, which means it's your tax dollars, and of course, public libraries and public schools your tax dollars your hard earned tax dollars at work. I think this is. I think it's an obscenity that you you exposing kids who have no clue about what's going on. We're paying for and we're paying for it. You know, the number six one seven two five four ten thirty triple eight nine two nine ten thirty. Let's light it up coming right back on nightside..

"Four Curtis Booker. All right. Let's get it going here. Bob in Waltham. Good, bob. What's going on? This whole thing. I I am. So Impala rate of the the intolerance that's going on. And I've been telling people that we may be headed to civil war. And sometimes I feel like I'm spewing hyperbole. But when I see stuff like what this j ws is doing I started thinking, maybe it really is true that we are headed for. So let's hope not let us I can't stand Trump. And I think what they did is completely wrong. I mean, if they wanted to not have this group that should have never given him the reservation in the first place, but that wouldn't have even been right in my book because it freedom of speech. I'm going to quote from the American president, Michael Douglas. He did a speech that I love at the end of that thing, and he talked about what American citizenship and free speech automated. And what it means to me? And what it meant to his character. And I believe is name is Andrew shepherd is that freedom of speech means that you should be defending the right of somebody else to shout at the top of their lungs dot, which would spend a lifetime opposing that. Is the kind of free speech that America is made of in my book, and it used to be the groups like the ACLU would defend the rights of those crazy hateful Neo Nazis to March to a Jewish community in Skokie, Illinois. Now, only defend left as if that's true. That's very sad. I I'll tell you because I was he was asked about whether he was carrying member of the ACLU as as per by one of the reporters in that movie. And that's kind of what it was about. And if the ACLU is not willing to defend the rights of folks. Like Laura Ingraham as much as they are. Let's say someone like Louis Farrakhan. And that's wrong. I mean, that's ridiculous. I couldn't agree with you more. And I mean, we see more and more of this on college campuses. This is going to cause this is going to cause more elections of people like Donald Trump is all it's gonna cost to me. It seems. And I don't want that. Shame on the Democrats. I see a couple that. I like some of them are too far to the left. I mean, I can be pretty far to the left in my principal views. But when I think about what I really want passed into law. You know, you're gonna look, and you got to think about what could be affected. It's gonna have on people. I think the leadership of both of these parties has lost track of what it means to be a regular American, and I include Donald Trump in that too. By the way, you know. You said it. Well, I appreciate your call you, and I are on the same page us. Hope we never we did. I hope we don't get the civil war that I'm afraid we're headed that way. I feel very sorry for young people today. Thank you very much. Bob. Keep calling the show have a great and good night. Six one seven two five four ten thirty triple eight nine thousand nine hundred thirty Jeff in Waltham. Jeff next on nightside Kuroda head. Yes. I wanted to comment on congress, Omar who's mitigated doll. Okay. It's really bad for a boon to public and party of in this time. I think she's really survey to just raise the Democratic Party in so far as they either a chapter or Las over her. Indiscretion? I can't imagine what Nancy Pelosi and other democratic leaders are saying her for her for her to go after President Obama, and look I had the criticism that she wants to make because they were things that were done under the Obama administration that a lot of people had trouble with. But the fact of the matter is he is a revered democratic leader at this point. Impolitic perspective of being valid it. It's it's bad politics to do that aside. Mitch. Validity. But also in regards to the foreign allegiance issue, certainly if anybody represents finally to assure appears to be that she serves to represent civil article element there. She is probably the one most. I disagree. I disagree with you on that, Jeff, I think some people some people might. But again, I don't know at what point the Democrats now the debt what the Democrats did was they they gave her protection yesterday. She was not singled out. She was not censured. She was not removed from the foreign affairs committee. She was given protection with that resolution. And she turns around the next day. And apparently has this this interview with politico and makes these comments about President Obama, President Obama. Yeah. I think she hurt politically she's gonna end up hoisted by your own petard. Or she will contribute to the election of Donald Trump. Yes. I really by predict that appreciate your call. Thank you have a great night. Six hundred seven two five four ten thirty triple eight nine to nineteen thirty Mary is in Braintree. Mary you're next on nightside. Gerrad ahead. Dan. Thank you so much for doing this topic. It's all week. I was hoping we we did talk about this a couple of nights early this week, by the way, Mary just so, you know, this is not the first night. We've taken up congressman Omar just for the record. And I'm supposed to tell. Okay. I really need your help on this. I need you to think serious. I need you to educate me on this. If you will I don't I I've been hearing it through all the different TV channels. They show putting up her tweets are and. All about the Benjamins baby. I don't think I don't appreciate a congresswoman talking like that. Kind of like, you know, like, I think a con a congress. One. And then I don't have tweets when people also, but it's more. It's worse than that. It is an antisemitic trope because she's basically saying that individuals who are supporting Israel are doing it only because of the amount of Jewish money the flows into their campaign coffers. That's what she's saying plain and simple question. I have for you. What is a trope trope is I guess an old insults. I guess that's that's that would be the west way best way to describe it. It used to be called a an old blood libel. But it's a it's a relatively modern phrase. It's T R O P E. It's basically something that everybody knows what you mean by saying you're not saying it directly, but you sort of saying it in a cute way. And everybody gets your point. But me, I'm not understanding what the gentlemen before was talking about allegiance like she said. Like it's dangerous or something to have a foreign allegiance to another. Yeah. But she was understand. How would that antisemitic? When she saying like, my part of my family is from Ireland, and I can't feel an infection or an affinity towards Ireland blessing to know what she was saying what she said in one of her comments. Whenever her texts was whether or not certain members of congress, whether their allegiance was to America or to another country, and she was talking about Israel now there irate members. There are men men and women who Irish-American on Irish-American, I'm a dual citizen, by the way. I got my Irish citizenship, Mary, but. My loyalty is to the United States of America and don't ever accused me of having a conflict in my loyalty and don't ever accuse members of congress who may happen to be Jewish and who may support Israel as as we should don't accuse them of being more loyal to Israel than the United States. That's that's what we're talking about Maria. I gotta run because I I'm coming up in a prank take so much you keep calling the show. Okay. Have a great night Jenny in Weymouth, Jenny. You're next on nightside. Go ahead. Hey, dan. Thank you as always taking my call it. I'll try and be concise. I just. Staggers me. It doesn't surprise me. But it just stagnate where the leaders of the Democratic Party as well as fellow congressional labs. Contorted themselves. To how about for this woman and her she's been very forthcoming. And I mentioned to you in another call that Lalu modern American journals was banned for life from all platforms have Twitter Facebook cetera, just accurately reporting on a lot. Oh, my and she was being her life for exposing just repeating what this woman. So it's a very sad state of affairs. The situation in the country. I also don't understand why somehow now the face it somehow so protected in our society. I don't know if I ever mentioned to you. But there's a really startling video of a festival Dearborn Michigan. I've seen that. I've seen the video the Whitehead pre charity just says God is the only way or whatever imagine the NFL if that was reverse and that was an imam, and there was a group of Christian throwing bottles and stones and the police came up and threatened to arrest mom with being assaulted. We have to ask ourselves these questions the problem with the problem with a lot of the videos on YouTube attorney for me is I always want to make sure that they are factually accurate. I al-. I always I always try to make sure that if they are presented as an event that occurred in Dearborn Michigan. Did it actually did occur in Dearborn Michigan? And that's the reporter in me. Okay. And not an again, just I want you understand. I always view anything. I see Donald Trump talks about fake news. I always look at anything that I see on the internet with a jaundiced eye know, and I respect that. But I I looked it up. It was on a it was actually I read a report from one of the local news. You know? That's good. Well, thank you for doing the homework on that horrific thing what happens now in this country. The fact that, you know, no, no religious group should be ostracized or should be. You know, what I mean called out for their faith? And you look at the way Kamala Harris spoke to these Catholic digest that came before. Or Dianne Feinstein, though, we should pay me Barrett. Kohnic something's going wrong dance. We've talked about it and Jenny. I guarantee you will continue to talk about it. And one last thing in the very kind and gracious, I really just want to tell people love God wake up, you know, get out of your apathetic state in the us your voice because we're losing our boys any night of nights Jenny you use your voice. Thank you very much for doing that. Keep doing it. Talk to you soon. Have a great weekend. Six one seven two five four ten thirty. We will open up the BC box office. "Curtis Booker backed up. There was some lovely backup. Singers, talking about nightside. My guest is John Eisenberg sportswriter author nine books. This is a great one. If you're a football fan gives you the history of the league. So okay league struggles where in the nineteen thirties. You got a recession going on got a depression going on you got World War Two. When does the league begin begin to break out of that shell and all of a sudden, he says, well, this is not necessarily ugly? Duckling? Maybe we're seeing a swan materialize. I would say there there you can actually make a direct point to to the league meeting before the nineteen thirties three. She was just a turning point in this league. They didn't to that point. They didn't have a championship game. It was they didn't have a scheduling protocol. And so many things changed before the nineteen thirty three season, George Preston. Marshall, and George Halas really chipped things up that is that is the meeting where they opened up the game to the forward pass before. Then there were number rules in place that discouraged passing the ball was kind of fat and the rules are such if you're say you're on the five yard line. He threw an interception or I'm sorry. You threw an incompletion that that bounced into the end zone that was a turnover. The other team got the ball. So there were a lot of rules. Was that the same ruling wasn't it note, Newt rocking invented the forward pass. Did he not? Oh, yeah. Was it the same rule in college at that time? Yes, the rules are the same as they follow the rules in college football. And so they they separated from college football. They opened it up. That was also the year where they can split the league into two divisions and eastern and western had a championship game. And suddenly before then every game. The final score was like, you know, nine two it was under golden age of hunting. You know, there wasn't much going on and suddenly after that the modern game arose. There was more passing more deception twenty eight to twenty one big scoring. And so I would say nineteen thirty three is the first time the first time when you see them say, they may have something John you also had some some horrific championship games was one. If I recall, and I'm doing this from memory was there like a seventy three to nothing championship game. I wanna say the Redskins and bears nineteen forty one or something like that. Or? Yes. You you have you have nailed it. That's exactly right. And. I did not look this one up from the back of the mind. Yes. And the the nineteen forty one something's telling me nineteen forty I'm blanking on there. I will check it out. Now, maybe on the computer. No. Yes. But but the the seventy three nothing game. I think helped I think it was. It was the bears. Nineteen forty was the bears over the Redskins in Washington that score. I think sort of fascinated people across the country. It was like there was a very high brand of football, George Halas to put together an awesome team in Chicago. And they were just spectacular. And so I think you know, we cannot get excited by stuff like that. It's like watching a car wreck, you know, rates or whatever. So I think that actually helps some people like seeing that it was a it was a an amazing display of football. But but lopsided. Yeah. It was. They ran out of balls. The last two touchdowns the the Redskins went to the bears and said can you just go for two? We can't we cannot kick the ball into the stands they were kicked up, but they didn't have the nets then. And so by the way. You're right. It was ninety nine hundred forty I pulled it up here. Yes. Yes. Yes. Okay. So so the the big moment the big moment has to be the the the colts and the giants nineteen fifty s. The last seen in the book. Yes, it is. Sudden death. Yeah. Why was that game? So important. Well to to get to that point a lot of things had to happen. The NFL had to they went with a big moment. That's totally lost in the midst of history. They went with unlimited substitution in nineteen fifty four. Then there were big limits on substitution college continued college football continued to have them. So you had two way players and not as much specialization and once again NFL open that up suddenly you had like a war. We know now quarterback driven league. You look in the fifties. There's tons of great quarterbacks throwing the ball all over the place. It just opened up football. The pro football, suddenly became really an impressive athletic sport. And the television lights came on. That's the decade of television. So Justice pro football was getting exciting but the quarterbacks Johnny United and Bobby lane. And all these guys the country was starting to watch on TV and that all came together in thousand. Fifty eight nineteen fifty eight championship game at the at Yankee Stadium. You've got the the the giants and the Baltimore Colts. And the game goes into overtime. That's a great drama there. Suddenly and forty million people watched it. So that was the day without doubt that pro football with stamped as a as a big big big time scored on the American sports landscape. There was no going back from there. Well, those those of us, and I think you're probably pretty close to the baby boom generation, I'm a baby, boomer. I mean, the the video of Alan amichi's score on the touchdown. And I remember that. The play. A field goal tied the game. The giants would have won at the guy had had missed a field goal. And it was a it was just a classic game. It, of course, next thing we have a we had the American football league. And we had the Boston patriots. In here in New England. Everybody in New England was in New York Giants fan people forget that long before the the New England Patriots came along. We all watched the giants on that was we were giants fans because we we rooted for Charlie Connerly and why. Title and and Sam half. And and all of those great giants players and their games were against the Cleveland Browns and the patriots came on and in the sixties. You you. They couldn't give away tickets for some seasons. And. And I believe there will be some people who might want to call and remind us of of the patriots games that they might have attended at Fenway park or Braves field or at Boston College alumni stadium or at Harvard. Youtube. Yeah, they did they did play at BU as I said, we'll call Braves Braves field nickel Sheffield. I remember. I'm told this story before when Hank Schram was coaching the Dallas Texans before they became the Kansas City Chiefs. They had a a game where your quarterback was getting cotton Davidson. And it was a Friday night games. Play Friday night games. Unheard of now and they were driving for the winning touchdown. He tried to throw a pass into the end zone and the and the Texans had a receiver named Fred Albany's who actually had one. I. Right. And he had a little depth perception. Final play the game. Incomplete passes the running off the field Davidson who had been dinged up. A couple times early game tells the coach there was a fan that broke that pass up and strength thought that he had a concussion, and you know, he's talking about when they got back to Dallas. And they looked at the game film, which really was Gainesville Sean half that game was won. By by a Boston patriot fan who who broke up broke up the pass up my Friday night. This a true story on it. At Hank Schram told me that story himself on a on a dimly lit field. So let's let's move. It ahead a little bit more for our audience. Some people might not remember the fifty eight game. There's another great game comes along. You think it's called Super Bowl three that made a huge difference in this league. Correct. Yes. Yes. That was. Name within the colts, and the F L NFL rivalry, which was still felt even though they agreed degree demerge. They agree. They agreed to merge in nineteen sixty seven sixty six sixty seven with the merger to take effect on the field in nineteen seventy but they were still playing these games. And there was a tremendous amount rivalry the colts had a great team. Don shula. And we're very heavily favored, and the the NFL was very smug and taught with better league, we're playing bear football. There's no way that we're Lombardi at one the first two with Green Bay Packers. And they just thought there's no way AFL brand of football. Could match ours? Or the reality was a f l was playing some pretty good football from the get-go lot of passing and excitement and a little jazz here style play the the truth is they were a little more integrated and open to that was and so that all came to fruition in that game. And the jets beat him. No, one could believe it and probably the greatest upset. The colts lost United's in that game. I think Earl moral probably played more quarterback that game the United States. Well have been heard all year he'd been injured and moral and had a tremendous season moral. I believe with MVP the league had had a tremendous season for the colts and United had been injured and come back and they've won without him. And there was a big story in Baltimore. They're gonna. I mean is where I am. I wasn't there. I grew up in Dallas. But you know, I've been here long enough and heard all the stories. I mean, you know, I just he didn't mind he wanted to play even though Earl moral had led the team to that point. And eventually they put him in. But they put him in. They were behind sixteen to nothing up mistaken. Top Mattie was the backup quarterback that game. That's right. Mattie was the backup quarterback running back. Right. Colds had a great team. But whipped in that game. I I saw that game recently one of the history channel's or whatever it was. They really the jets defensive great job. It gets a call to that game. Well, it was it was a moment. It was a moment in time for the league. Look one more segment coming up with John Eisenberg. I'd love to hear from some of you who might want to remember your first trip to see the patriots. This a lot of people going down and see the patriots. It's amazing. It's amazing that it is the Boston slash New England Patriots that have emerged as the dominant NFL team. I mean, if they win the Super Bowl, I think that gives them most Super Bowls of of any any team? And this was a team that really didn't get to its first Super Bowl 'til nine hundred eighty six. So it's it's a great story for New England, John we've had so much success with the Red Sox. And of course, with with the patriots in the first twenty years of this century. We're we're blessed people who are under the age of twenty five or in the age of thirty. They think it's always been like this not. So so. Let's give us a yell. Tell us you football story. John Eisenberg who has written books about amongst others. Cal ripken. Some and Camden Yards as well. Six one seven two five four ten thirty. Triple eight nine two nine ten thirty. The book is the league. How five rivals created the NFL and launched a sports empire, and it is a sports empire. Join.

"To fifty one. America's. America's. Chilling. Curtis booker. Thanks very much C four put that together. I let's keep it rolling going down Attleboro. And we're gonna talk with Elizabeth in annaborough. Elizabeth you are next on the ringcentral nightside caller line. Welcome. ID and Hawaii. Oh, I'm great Elizabeth. How are you doing? I'm doing fine. Thanks. I I was listening to your last caller. You are a leader, Dan. But I have to say I'm in your corner. I'm absolutely with you a hundred percent on your views of the FBI. And I guess I wanted to say that from I thought Trump was going to take down the government the way he was handling the Justice department. But that being said this morning's I just wanted to say that Roger stone is I heard some information about him and Manafort being in business together back in the eighty very true. Very true. Paul Manafort, Roger stone at a guy named Charlie black. Let me ask you do. You think there were enough FBI agents there today? Do you think? Had a few more just in case. Yeah. I know. I don't know enough about Roger stone. But I was really happy to see them taking this seriously. They will they said they were twelve agents. Have you seen the video yet of them rushing? The the his hideout. No, I haven't. I just saw the videos of them outside the building by you mean, the courthouse or outside of his his highest house. I thought it was his house. I didn't know it was a condo. Well, it was. It was I view it's kind of as where he his hideout, and they they were able to take him down without a shot fired. And they did it with only twelve or so agents, they might have been a few more. But I think they needed. I hope they had people on on all four sides of the hideout because okay could have sleep. I, you know, I just think the whole government was at stake the way Trump was running things, and it was just. The whole government. I really did many people felt that way. You know, many of us concerned when he was elected that frankly, we were thinking about was nuclear war possible. So far we've avoided that catastrophe at least. We've eliminated some of the catastrophes that have possibilities. But I'm still scared. There have been nights that I thank God. We've had you on the air. But. I think we all can tonight. Sleep a little more solidly tonight. Elizabeth I know when I go home and put my head on my pillow knowing that that this guy stone is under arrest. Under indictment. This might be the beginning of the end. Oh, thank goodness. You know, you never know. Goodness. You know, they were talking about. I don't know if you saw the the football game. Are you football AM? Yes. Of course, the patriots. We hope we're going to win the super. But I know if you saw that play down in the New Orleans, Los Angeles Rams game where past and it's really stole the game from New Orleans and baton, absolutely. And you know this. There's a lawyer down there who's suing the NFL to try to get the commission the NFL to reverse the score of the game and basically declare that the saints were were robbed of the victory. Yeah. He's got a point. I think he certainly does and a very similar fashion. I hope that if if thank goodness Trump is actually impeached that we don't follow the normal course. And then have Pence's president. I think they should turn around and say, hey, this election was was was stolen from Hillary Clinton in the first place, and let's restore her to the to the position that she that she actually won. Bye. Bye. I say my prayers every night. But I I have to tell you the truth. I did not vote in this election because I could not. Justify hiller. I was not a Hillary fan. But I was not a Donald Trump fan either. Well, I did not vote in this election. I voted in the election, but I chose not I chose the blank the presidential ballot as well. Elizabeth so great to talk with you. Okay. But sleep a little boy Sally tonight. Okay. Okay. Thank you so much. Thank you for being on the side of the good. I appreciate it. I'm trying to I'm trying to try and his best. I can't. Thanks, elizabeth. We'll talk good night. Yeah. Bye bye author. Arthur, how are you tonight? Hey, Danny boy, how are you doing couldn't be better author? What did you think today? Oh, why kind of TV on? I gotta was a movie, you know, something they may make a movie out of this. We could call it something like the takedown. Steven Seagal could be here Trina. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, hey, you never know. You gotta go in with enough force. I mean this. This guy has been on the Lam now for two years, Arthur. Okay. What a shame. I don't know what a waste of money that was well, at least, we're we're secure and our knowledge that. That that they got him. Got it. To coming up tonight. Do. Guns drawn. The machine wouldn't have gotten. Oh, no, not for you know. We need is to baseball bat. I think you could handle things with your bare heads from our previous conversations. I don't think. All right. Hey have a great weekend. Okay. Thanks. Let me go to Jamie and end over Jamie and end over your next on the ringcentral nightside caller line. Thanks for calling. Good time to finish my cream. Spinach was very good. I actually like spinach. I'm one of the few as a kid. I this must be something wrong with me. I liked spinach. And I I maybe I watch too many Popeye the sailor cartoons. Well, it turns out. It's got all these things for your is. Like, my wife, I make a powder collard greens is like improved incredible compared to her sisters. That's good. That's good to know. I still no matter how much spinach eight I still couldn't hit the curve ball. You know? What's your take on this, Jamie? Well, I'm going to state the obvious. You don't send twelve agents around to arrest a political operative you send twelve agents around swarm into the house and take the computers in the cellphones before they can be erased. That's why they're there. Just like with Cohen. Well, do you think that if they just send someone what do you think you would have done barricaded? He's been he's been on the Liam for twelve years. Say oh, just a second and then hit delete. And if you ask them to come in, then he'll probably take a pickaxe. It people. Do I hope the way it works? Yeah. What are you proud of the federal authorities today or when they took down Elian Gonzalez, which which which they made you more proud. I don't know. I don't think a pride. I just think they were doing they were doing their job. According to the protocol of their job today. You have to get in there quick and keep everybody button off of their equipment in order to confiscate the equipment, and you give him seven charges which are minor because you can bring down other charges on top. And when you file those charges just before you can hint that you know, about all the other people who are co-conspirators, and that's exactly what they did. So so you you look at this then as as a great day for for law enforcement. I just think it's a professionals. They're professionals and they did their job correctly. I hope they had all four corners of the house covered all four sides of the house covered because I'm sure they were going in the back door at the same time. Yeah. So so even though we saw twelve going in the front, hopefully, we had at least fifty surrounding the house. And you're gonna take one guy you just need to people. I mean if he shoots his career is over anyway. So. His life is over. But if you're going to take the electron IX, and if you're interested in formation, which is the obsession you're gonna come in from all around the house with a swarm of people, and you know, tomorrow there's going to be right. These these vans with two or three hundred plastic bags. You know what I mean? It's gonna be a full custom search of his house. I'm sure that was done today now. But but but what my my concern is is did we have enough firepower? That's the only question that I would have had more than that. You think there was enough today? I don't think the guns really mad at that much except they are agents. Well, the guns were they might as well run. I mean, yeah, you gotta have the guns ready to to to to do whatever you have to do. I mean now this guy had been had been the subject of a lot of focused for about two years. Daring them to come for him. You know in the end, right? But do you think that he might have had the opportunity to delete any of this stuff the previously or do you think he might not have been sharp enough to think about that? Well, that goes to personal opinion. But I actually believe he was so. Smoking that he just went ahead and did whatever dealings. He wanted to figuring. There's no way they would ever come because of his friend. You know, who's his friend? Oh. So you think okay? So so so then then this guy really probably figures that Trump's going to take them off the hook. Anyway. Yeah. Well, he probably went beyond that, he probably figured that. Trump would interfere with things, you know. Yeah. He figured that. Trump had some way of making things happen. You know? Why do you think Trump didn't do that? Then. I mean, he is crazy is a owl. He's he's most skillful with the public, and he burnt out all of his neurons when it comes to all the people who could carry out anything like that. And he's able to determine whether any of them are pro or for they're not, sir. You know, there's no HR alderman's out there because you know, those people he knows or less competent than that the people who are like that. He can't even find them because he's Friday the departments will Haldeman Haldeman went to jail Haldeman and early, but they both went to jail, by the way shortly after the fact, well, look what I'm saying. I'm just to talk to someone else. Who is so proud of the FBI that they were able to get this guy. How do you think they figured out where he was? Good police work. Well, don't underestimate the the the complexity of something like this. This guy was in somewhere in a hideout, and they were then they don't property property that he owned. And there are dozens of them that can watch all the properties. So that's the point this guy on his cellphone to well. He's probably has many cellphones. I mean, this guy is this guy's a mastermind when you think about it. This guy stone was able to steal the White House. I mean, that's the bottom line and. Know, we're dealing with a man with a mastermind, and and again, I just think it shows again, why how what a great job the FBI did today. Well, you know, another way that they could find him pretty easily my daughter's in Infosec and your tire valve stems. If you have a recent.

"There is little bit of a break from an early sign up. Trust me, it will be a fabulous event. Be there with you all the way and looking forward to meeting so many of you who have gotten to know over the years, and by the way, if you live outside of Boston. Outside of New England Colette can arrange your travel either from where you live or through Boston. It will work for you whichever way works best for you one eight hundred five eight one eight nine four to collect. It's why we travel. America's fat. Nice. That's exactly what this show is about C four Curtis Booker, great arrangement there. Let's go next to Bill up in danvers Bill. Thanks for your patience. You're next on nightside. Gerrad ahead. Yes. Standard inside. It's great to talk to you. Welcome back. He said the Franco did a great job while you were gone I to plug in absolutely Morita in Jordan, rich. I couldn't think of two better people. The overall divide. Unfortunately, I I don't think it ultimately ends one way or the other because somebody's gonna win and somebody's gonna lose long-term just like any other conflict anywhere in the world or anywhere. And if you just look at demographics, and you look at age, and you look at an education system, and you look at what's coming up, and you look at the young lady from New York, and you look at the other day his comments about maybe the constitutions of relevant there. Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. I'd never heard that one you serious. Oh, yeah. I'm serious. There was a story. He basically questions like, you know, John working out a it's two hundred and something years old that we babysit just move on past that. And and you know, when you have a younger generation, we don't teach what they mean the amendments. And basically, I mean, you think about the stories once in a while in college campuses that it's just a bunch of white guys that got together, and they were slaveholders, and you look at this doctor nation. I mean, you can see a way I mean, I talked to a fellow small business owner today. And he says, you know, twelve to fifteen years looking real scary. And you know, I happen to agree with them. You know, I feel guys like you and me, Dan, who maybe have a, you know, more of a traditional look, I say more of a traditional view, you know, where you know, going the way we're going to be almost in the museum. Just the younger crowd, and you just look at the pendulum, and I just you know, when you look at the millennial generation, and you look at what they came up in going to college the way, the great recession, and there were huge Obama did a great job bringing the young people live, and, you know, look at the stagnant economy compared to what we have now. And I never thought I'd see GDP growth over three percent. I really thought we were going to be. And I gotta say, you know, I'm enjoying the sector economic time. Now because here's the thing. Let's first of all let's not despair number one. I think unconcerned as you are about the direction in the drift of the country. But I have every confidence in the world that there are people tonight listening to this show listening to what you just said who are under the age of thirty five under the age of thirty some under the age of twenty five who did learn civics in highschool who do understand that the constitution is a precious document. And we must never surrender the constitution. And I didn't see I was away for a few days of beta O'Rourke said something that stupid. He he doesn't deserve to have to be considered seriously by anyone. I think it's easy when you're in your twenties and someone says, oh, here's all you. Gotta do you know, we're gonna go to socialism or something like that. I don't think that's the answer. That's not the answer for this country. But I'm I'm concerned. But boy, you sound more even more concerned than I am Bill. And I it's. And I'll tell you I had a guy at the counter, and he is in the trades. And it was probably thirty maybe thirty two at most. And you know, I'm a business. I don't want to go too deep, and you don't know, and I just kinda wild. Let's hope that people vote the right way. And you know, the guy you gotta give them credit the oval, you know, I mean, he's stimulated things, you know. And hopefully, we can keep it going people. Appreciate the policies. You know? I mean, not the personalities, but the policies are right. And you know, when I says, you know, I mean, you know, you know, if you had the sources of line like Bernie, and you know, what he said he goes, I kind of liked that socialism. Here's a guy, that's benefiting. And basically, you know, he wants. Yeah. So I mean what I see it Todd. I try to stay. You know, but I just very hot dang because I'm exposed to this. I deal with the public, and I talked to people that have probably I have had a few young people that have surprised me only if been probably I count on one or two hands there. But overall, it's just you know, it, and I travel to I mean, I go to the country I've been overseas. And, but you know, I talked to people from sixteen sixty six to eighty six and you know, why why? You know, 'cause I deal with everybody. Yeah. And I'm looking at a piece here. I can't find anything about Dato Aurore suggesting we needed to move on from the constitution. The only thing I saw him was he did an Instagram having his teeth cleaned the other day, which is. Yeah. He did that I think it was a day or two after that. There was something. Another caller may call up in. Looking at a piece from today. An opinion piece that is out of the Washington Examiner has beta O'Rourke has nothing smart to say. And I would think that if he had made a comment like that. It would have led the lead the the the article, but you know, again, I just whenever someone mentioned something. It sounds to me. Just unbelievable. I'm wondering if I told the herald today, I know mobile was in the the herald. But so far. And this is a pretty critical piece.
