"Team fouls on the fighting. A line I seven team fouls sends Andre Curbelo to the foul line for one and one needs. An 80% shooter with the freshman missed the first one off the back iron and on the Rebound. Level whistle on a stoppage. It's like there might be some blood on the hand of justice suing, so we'll get that taken care of with 4 45 to go in the first half. This is remarkable Start to this game for the fighting a lot and for Ohio State, but the fighting a line I one of the best shooting teams in the country, their 11th and effective field field goal percentage. That's fueled by 41% 3 point shooting. You're a big scoring team, and, you know, 80 plus points per game, 83 points per game, and the Buckeyes haven't locked at 19 right now, with under five to play in the first half. That's kind of been the opposite of what we would expect for an offensive showcase for Ohio State lately. There. Three point team percentage is actually been dipping into the 31% is a group. They shoot it really well from the two point land, But it's kind of that combination right now of Ohio State, taking the right threes and making them after a while of making sure that guys like Adele are having some good to point touches, making them at it. Just tremendous clips. Seven of 9 78% So far the align I One for five something they normally are over 40% of the team Ohio State with the basketball after the stoppage for 28 to play in the first half. Ah 37 19 lead for Ohio State on the road first time they played in Champaign. Four years 16 days Justice suing old deep in the corner, but guys come to him. Washington with one of the shot clock will have to take a difficulty shot with Io do sumo right in his face and airballs missed the iron. Shot clock violation that gives the ball back to the fighting a lineup they had an opportunity to throw it to him for the fade away or a flashing Lindelof the high post he had shook Coburn off the week block wrong decision. Illinois with four guards. Working around coffee. Colbert Colbert in the High post Shielded away. I Odo Sumo now holds it on the right wing. Hands it off to the freshman point guard Aundre Curbelo, the swing to Grandison now deep in the left corner, Frasier rocks and fires the three and has a word for the Buckeye bench after he knocks it in 37 22 Now still a 15 point Buck. I lied in the first half, and that's a huge make not only for his confidence but also They had an inability to get Coburn the ball there. They tried four different ways. That's how good the Buckeyes interior defense. Woz justice suing Pops to the point puts it on the floor of the left hand hesitation, leans in and travels trying to make some space with his shoulder. He's done that a couple times driven it into darkness, and now that one will turn it over, and there's a time out on the court with 3 31 to play in the first half. 37 22, Ohio State leads Illinois, You're listening to Compass media networks. Ice the shooter. He was big on that. One more here for Miller Cop. This one's good. They makes two of three The Wildcats within 4 to 12 8 14 37 to go first half. Curbelo brings it up against Ryan Greer spins on Greer bounces for Frasier. Now Miller gives it off to Curbelo High on the left little pressure there from young and dress. And he shot barely skips it to Williams. He missed the shot down was tipped by the shaman Billy back to Frasier. Curbelo left point, hands it off to the freshman center. Hawkins, her Bella gets it back circling, right? And he travels. Kind of came to a sliding stop there. Hey, hey, drag pitiful. No, no doubt about that. Wildcats with ball down for Anthony Games. Displayed Many games against Illinois but missed the two games last year when he missed most of the season. Here's Ryan Greer takes it right. Hands it off to cop circles to the top, puts up a jumper straight on God, it Miller cop with his first field goal. It's a two point game 12 to 10. Nice to see him get going early here. Here's Miller to Carmelo lobbing inside, deflected out by Ryan Young, denying the ball machine is feeling And here comes beef against peace Now copious coming in. We'll see the battle inside. Sumo is in Highbury. The Wildcat freshman is gonna come in. He replaces awed each I have 63 freshman from Newton, Kansas. Sumo lobs it the Hawkins puts it on the deck drives to the foul line. Did you back to Ohio and out on the left Frazier against the freshman Berry feeds it to Coburn in his past the Hawkins going down the lane. He put it up, mister, but he'll shoot too. In his past. I kind of thought it was just off balance. I like this match up. I owe gains his garden. I like that matchup. Balan, Ryan Young, his 1st 3rd team foul Hawkins at the line. 58% foul shooter. This is his 11th game. He's out of Sacramento, California. First one up in good. Illinois's a team. Third worst in the big tent. It's 68% Does that make you feel better? I am ready.

"He bumped right into next hiccup. Georgie Bichon is really coming in as Colbert will take a seat. Now you're the memory guy wasn't last year He killed us down there and Illinois. Somewhat here he got, he went off. Yeah, well was in the big 10 tournament, 2019 26 points. He went 12 with 15 in that game, And here's Andre Curbelo, the freshman originally from Puerto Rico, played high school ball. Long Island, Frasier out Miller cop to trigger left sideline. Is it? The Bui Bui drives right hands it off to wadis circles to the top. Can't get a shot up. Bob's it back out the cop. Those finance high post hands to buoy. He'll put up a jumper from straight on it won't go and the re down, scooped up by Curbelo Curbelo down the middle accelerating, lost his footing. Saves it outside to Miller and now back to Williams at the top. There's a foul on boo booing Valentino. Sumo is heat drove towards the basket. So Boo picks up his first bell. I don't know what God has called that he was crying about. That's exactly what he was saying that he was using his arm to bump him. Buoy comes out. Nance comes out Ryan Young in and Ryan Greer in for the Wildcats, who trail 62 to 16 25 to go first half here's Curbelo circling, left handing off to go sumo. It's a screen from the shot is really falling down bounces to Williams that back out on top for Bello Inside Bichon ish really puts up a jump hook on the baseline. Good over young. It's 8 to 2, Illinois. So Sean is feeling comes in scores. Here's young at the other end against Bichon ish really spins to his left puts it up off the glass, and he scores to shave. That is 8 to 4, Illinois. You don't double them in the post, he could have scored down there. Here's Miller to Curbelo skips it across three ball from the left.

"Scholes, Our producer in Jeff City. A sluggish shooting start for both teams. Illinois 29% shooting. We're due in 27 3 Pointers. Illinois Nothing of four. What do you want? A five you said about a four minute scoring drought and another two minutes story ground. They go on one for their last 11 a line on a six run to find a gravelly 12 9 benefits produced bad shooting or are good defense. But I know Kofi Coburn bothering gravy on Williams. I think it's a bit of both Brian actually, I mean, but you know if you watch this for duty playing so far throughout the year, they're prone to these ebbs and flows. But they've done a really good job. Illinois that is on the inside against trade beyond which is called producing real problems. Ivy ass inside tray beyond Williams. Try it again to the left up. Scoop shot won't go covert another rebound. He's upto four fellow on the court coming down across the time line here in champagne. 12 9, Illinois on a six year old run Curbelo spinning his lane to lane and now we double dribble trying to shake off Jaden. I've either 64 freshmen to freshman going at it on the turnover gives it back to produce. Panel leading the Big San and assist in league play overall, averaging just under five assists in just under 10 points a game commits the turnover there for do down 12 9 11 14 for the half. Here's the short jumper by Ivy from 10 light of the lane. No good. Miller got poked in the face rebound comes to Illinois, Fraser grabs it near mid court. Now they may want to check on Adam Miller. You got poked in the eye, I think going for that rebound underneath the basket, and you could see his reaction. And when he didn't get down, which is a really good stop is just by the referees cause he advantage was over on the transition, so we gotta make sure the players are healthy and make sure they get so That was a great stop by the referee. Pretty balanced scoring by Illinois early leading 12 to 9. They'll take a peek at Adam Miller. Paul Smith. Well, he's holding his al over his left eye. I owed a sumo out there with Rabello de Monte Williams, Kofi Covert and friend Frasier, Frasier with a catch Tom Turkey Left sideline Curbelo 15 to shoot. Put it on the floor, Lost the handle, safe it and then threw it away. Got it back. Hold too fast Doing right to Erik Hunter here comes for do Human short jumper in the lane. No good rebounds. Colburn fouled by Mason Gillis. Yeah, that's what it does things. You know, it's gonna be Feaster Famine, sometimes with the young point guard. He's getting himself a little bit too deep. When trying to do it, you know, produce been scalped me. They know you want to get into paint, so they're gonna call that thing up. So as you see, coach is over there telling they move the ball. Well, Europe here, the our location. You've got to stop. Sign up. Hey, slow down for yield sign or whatever the case is going A little fast. 12 9, Illinois by 3 10.5 to go first half in champagne. Here's a pass to the free throw line from William for those who knocks down a 15 footer Boy that was a pretty feet from Monty Williams was sumo has six on the line. I had their biggest lead 14 9 10 15 ago in the first half and champagne out top Gillis against the Illinois man to Man here is Ivy. Holds it high in the black and yellow shoes. Way out. Top Gillis left wing to train me on Williams hoping backs away. Williams down inside the paint five to shoot back out top. Here's a tough shot by Newman Force it up from 18. No good. Rebounded Monty Williams when I want to push it, Curbelo earlier on the brake Robert and slams it in time out for nude Carmelo from the deep corner Lance to his left with his great career. Whole vision found Coburn storming down the lane threw it up near the rim and Kofi Hammers it home and Coburn with four points on five rebounds Already Time out, Matt Painter, the align eye on a 14 2 and 10 0 run on Matt Painter says enough 16 9, Illinois with 9 48 to go in there. You want to talk about a perfect transition Later. First you get that you do a great job defensively. You get the rebound. You get what's called the early up when they kick the ball. All of the court when you got a big, like coffee that can run the floor. Oh, my God. They don't make it easy that live to the basket and six others. Finish it the way you can almost see as it unfolds. Each possession. Illinois is trying to push it produced, trying tow slow down time. Illinois beat him down the floor because Purdue recognizes there, then they they've never really been made to run. Sister Lia Robinson left there back in my day, so they've always been a team that invoice didn't methodically work you over. That's why they have Biggs. They do what Ivy so they could try to find those half court situation out of the time out, trying to figure out how the scores for do there one for their last 15 ivy. Inside et overcovered had a block over in another block, all loose on the floor out of bounds off of et. Great hustle by the airline. I in the corner as propeller and others were down there surrounding the ball, and it went off of Edie's big foot out of bounds. I could tell you this. I don't think he ever found anybody like hope. You try to block him down, but the big fellows right there with you. He's bigger and stronger than most people He's gonna play against. Not today, though, 9 26 to go in the half 16 9, Illinois. The line on a 10 hour run. Borders haven't scored in nearly five minutes. Right side. Those sumers drives on Hunter lost the handle 100, flex it away too similar back to get it tend to shoot. Williams left side Carmelo under the basket on her head of past, Fraser. Past those full moon. Right wing three. No good rebound. Coburn battling with 80 out of bounds off of Kofi, It'll go to Purdue. Well, I know three to go in the half The line I shooting at 35% missed all five of their three pointers. Kofi goes to the bench,.

And he'll be back within 176. And again, it starts on the defensive After Illinois defense has started off. They've gone extremely well hold. It produced 27%, but not just that getting their hands in their creating deflections. There's a jump pass inside of the 7 ft four eating. He puts it up it in. Exactly. He had three and their loss and Rutgers on Tuesday night. It's 9 to 6 inches about a 3.5 minute drought for produce pass inside. The shot is feeling inside of hooking her up good. Over. Ethan Morton, who checked in the game on morning draws the foul ball. The other bakers over 25 even Morton and Count the basket for Coleman Hawkins Way did not see him in the last game against Indiana, but shows up big early. There's a young man that's going to be really good for Illinois as he continues to grow as a player, but you see your 69 center that's on the floor right now, with a nice low drop off as Georgie skill level is so fun. What's a produce? This was tied on the end one that Hawkins cannot complete it. The rebound et at 7 ft. Four campaigner working the sidelines, the longtime automaker coach 98 Produce. Both teams really struggling to score Illinois to for their last 10 produced one for their last 10. Miller left elbow in and out of traffic tend to shoot out top to hock it Right way. Curbelo cuts down the orange Lane turnaround. Jumper is no good. Tapped up. My Hawkins won't go. Hawkins stays with shovels to go. Sumo short jumper won't go down but a foul. I want to do watch Tak E T with a foul. What a pass by Hawkins and Man. Is he active early today? That's all unless he watching him work around there on the board. He's taken that 66 9 16 Frank and those long arms and using it, but then getting a skilled using a skill level to get the little drop all pass I owe in the paint. Gets two free throws 12 28 to go in the first half Illinois shooting 23% for doing 29% of Sumer because two shots first one up on good shot is feeling has a seat. "Well, Indiana's later when away here in champagne On this day after Christmas, most of the ball game they jumped out 51 and 93, Illinois, a couple of many runs in the first half to grab a two point lead in half. 29 27. They're currently Illinois is on a Seminole run. They've hit their last five shots. Coffee. Coburn has exploded here in the last few minutes. 15 points, 11 rebounds I owed a sumo with 17. Those are the top two scorers for Illinois on the line. I have surged back in front of Indiana 51 49 with 8 17 to go in the game, but beautiful assist from Carmelo just ripping. The bullet passed it. Oh sumo in front of the Illinois mansion, He knocks down the three, prompting the Indiana time out. But talk about what Carmelo does for. I mean, he allows Io Did not have to be on the ball to be able to work off the ball. So if there's an outlet transition I owe could run the floor and now he doesn't have to worry about too many defenders around him, so he has a right to drive to the basket or as in that instance, right there get the wide open jumps out from three. Carmelo is a huge plus by open to being able to play off the ball four assists for Curbelo. Five assists for those sumo they have nine of the line eyes 13 assists on 20 baskets. A line I lead by 2 51 49 80 wait for the game. Here is Jackson Davis Fires the past of Finnessey missed from three in the deep, right corner, rebound. A big coffee covert. Here comes Curbelo up the left side. Carmelo, spinning down the lane on Finnessey throws to do sumo in the right corner catches it on the deflection. Baxter Curbelo shot clock in 15 plenty of time to go out. Stop. Shawn is feeling the line I with a ball in a two point lead, Curbelo lobbed it. Coburn's puts him right in his hands covering up in under, Mr Chip shot wouldn't go down, Rebound. Indiana loose fall on the floor, deflected the Carmelo. Here He comes on the brain, her battle to the ram, and he's knocked into the basket foul on Indiana. Carmelo's okay, gets a pat on the head from trend, Fraser. Train huddles him up. That's on Tennessee. Trying to save a lay up is the ball. Gotta loosen their mid cord. You're Bello beat everybody to it raced to the rim and got hammered into the basket. What the beauty of that was and yes, well over the pick that up tricks hustle anyway. He dove for them all because the deflection which allowed of course, Carmelo to pick it up, pick up the foul Carmelo for the year 83% from the line, and he makes that one high off the rim and falls in. Bellow with five points. Shooters bounce for 50 to 49, Illinois's biggest lead today has been three. It's that right now. They've matched it second when it's up, and he missed it. Rebound, Coburn taps it out the Indiana here come the Hoosiers on the break free on three. Finnessey bounce fast kicked out of bounds might have similar like a goalie. Protecting the Net 50 to 49, Illinois, the Hoosiers in another scoring drought, and this has been there. Bugger. Good times. 2.5 minutes. No points a line. I lead us three after leading by 2.5 7 24 to go in the game. Here is Jackson Davis with three fouls The top of the key now between the circles to finish the right wing Durham for three. Missed it. Rebound. Coburn with his 13 rebounds, outlet, Curbelo. Here he comes to sumo dry. Pull up, 17 footer rim down. No good rebound bouncing around. Sean is really trying to save it. He does on the corner in front of the Illinois bench. Gets it out to Ohio thought about a three passed on it on. They reset it on brand, Underwood says. Get it to five. Curbelo 6 50 for the game. 50 to 49. Illinois Does sumo crossover on Finnessey finished? He pokes it away. I'll gets loose flares of three Has the shot clock expires and he knocks it down from our time boy finish. He was being a passed out there. It's not now we get another time out. This is a Indiana calls a time out The line I with their biggest lead at 6 55 49 is the shot clock was running down to assume ooh, with one Let it fly and varies. The three point shot to give Illinois the 55 49 lead and those sumo with another 20 points, two rebounds and climate says It's become very, very commonplace for him to do that it was and that was just great recognition because you're Normally, if you got a bug, a boo and away fantasy was being that tied for him and get it understand that he had one second on the clock and then knock it down with huge on Io did that for sure. No matter your favorite game day food little pair perfectly with the Coke together, taste better then by the align Ivy's the Rewards card. They present today's game with Indiana. True, fans.

"Three of eight for Indiana Free throws. Illinois five of seven. Indiana five of six points in the paint, Illinois. 20, Indiana. 16 2 similar leads Illinois with 12 Franklin leads Indiana with 11. But neither team Dion and either half so far has been able to get very far in front. No again. I'm missing before. We don't know if it's a great defensive effort of or bad offensive effort. I will say that both teams are clicking on defense and no one's getting any clean looks at the basket. But the few that we have had or that Indiana has aged right. We just can't throw the ball in Lake Michigan. We're a long way from there to a T least Some of us are here is Finnessey handle? Get out top on the left wing gets it to Armand Franklin. Hands it off the hunter, now back to Durham. Durham drives down the lane Missed the layup, attempt, rebound, dancing around like a volleyball, and it's out of bounds off of Illinois. Indiana will get it for the shot clock in five Illinois's lead US 3 35 32. They led 29 27 half after Indiana had a six point lead early 15 9, but nobody's been able to get any further. Evan that inbound Hunter got three under the basket and missed the chip shop rebounded. Johnny's really Out of there with it. Here comes those sumo right corner. Curbelo now to go sumo do sumo dribbles between the circles. Grandison is in right side. Curbelo cuts to the rim under the basket among the trees. Put it up. Wouldn't go rebound Indiana out of their weather. Here comes Durham Durham crossover gets away from those sumo we get a collision under the basket. And a foul on Illinois. Yeah, Granderson on the hole, which is actually they're smart files. And that was a smart file because race Thompson and did a great job of sealing him off. And if they had passed the ball was an easy two points. We did the right thing grabbed around the waist. Now you take the ball out of bounds. Granderson out of the game to Monty Williams. Back in here is the lob in the right corner to Franklin. Way out. Top left wing hunter top of the key to Finnessey Curbelo on him. Cross court pass Franklin pull up from 15 Nice, sweet shot, and it's good. Come on Franklin with 13 that looked like the Keith Smart shot in the N C. Double a tournament all those years ago. 35 34 they align I lied is one Miller run in the weave out, Tom. Here's the Monty Williams getting the Indiana defense to go side to side. Curbelo drives down the lane fell down, lost the handle possession arrow is he gets tied up Is Indiana tried to split the zones with the zone? That's I mean, that's all but the screen. And not enough space to get through there. But you mentioned Keith. Smart shot. Same number two, isn't it? I think so. You know that same look. Little spot there right on the Lou Henson jacket here on the Blue Henson Court here in champagne. 35 34, Illinois by 1 14 43 to go in the game across the timeline is Finnessey, Tennessee Right Wing? This is Duram. Duram out top to Hunter guarded by Williams out of Tennessee. Tennessee guarded by Curbelo shot clock it four seed down the lane off balance shot hunter. Your fellow with a rebound 35 34, Illinois Curbelo coast to coast under the basket. Wild shot through it. I've had it block headed the other way. Jackson Davis to the other end of the Lay up won't go 14 on the loose ball, and we're gonna get a foul is a goaltending counted? Yeah. Georgie tip there while I was bouncing around on the river. No, count the basket for me. Deanna shortest way getting ourselves too deep under the basket. That was the second time card. Carmelo kind of put it. Carrillo put himself in an area where he couldn't pass couldn't shoot. It's gonna have to stop a little bit higher around that big 10 area that way you could shoot it as well as five people in the past, but It was one of the things that you learn as a freshman difference between high schools in the big 10 14 08 to go in the game. "So that he's going to have to find a way to kick the ball out. And then you have wide open jump shot shooters. On every time I owe touches if they've surrounded him, as you mentioned every time coffee touches it, they've got him surrounded. Neither one of those young men are in there now. Andre. Carmelo's checked in to run the point. Grandison is any catches the inbound That's right back to the rim and Miss Celia Rebound. Indiana Here come the Hoosiers Rightto left in the red. Out there now is Jerome Hunter and over 21 67 sophomore from picking in Ohio handles it right side. Do during has got the orange shoes on today. Race. Thompson out top. Holding in his Galloway Galloway cross scored left side This is finished. See, you did not start today. Now Galloway drives off balance over the shot is really put it up it in trade. Galloway has his first two on the Hoosiers leads 721 14 56 to go in the first half. Miller Out top to Frasier left side Curbelo a line I without a field goal here in the first five minutes, Right side, Miller inside Georgie be against race. Thompson at the height advantage, backs his way in spin move to the basket. Wait up. Shawn is feeling with his first two of the first bucket free, little on great matchup for Georgie on the interior race would not be able to defend him. Long's. He takes his time. As you saw. They didn't crowd the paint the way they do with Kofi was in. So that would give Georgia an opportunity to take advantage of that matter. 73, Indiana with lead 14 17 ago in the first half in the right corner driving in there's a jumper from the baseline 10 FT. Out. Jerome Hunter buries it for his 1st 267 soft Warren. It's 93, Indiana. Here is Carmelo all the right sideline Cross court. Left corner. Adam Miller for three off the back iron? No good. Which shot rebound your own hunter. Here come the Hoosiers Finnessey into the left front court at the left elbow. Cut off like Curbelo. Now hand off to Durham. Tell Johnny Durham Durham dribbles to the right wing. Hands it off now to Galloway. Galloway, guarded by Miller Pass, deflected out top retreat by Thompson tend to shoot in front of the Illinois bench. Here is Durham, Finnessey. Touch passes out top Galloway right wing Thompson with two for three, and it sticks against the glass in the ribs. You know, that was an excellent defensive everybody. Illinois Indiana did a really good job of driving and kicking and passing. But Eleanor was right there on every catch, Great effort, and that's what they need to do if they're going to get this thing rolling. Hell, annoying one of nine from the field, Indiana is four of 11 on the line. I early on Frasier over to the Civil for two, Coburn over too. Alternating possession on the ball that stuck up against the glass means that stays with Indiana. Monty Williams checks into the game and the Taliban trained Frasier. So now it's William's Curbelo. Grandison does sumo in the shot is really on the floor for the fighting a lineup in the inbound. Here's the catch. My Jerome Hunter dumped down inside Jackson Davis over the shot is really miss close in Shot Rebound, Carmelo Here He comes into the front court bounce fast, similar to Leia. Yes, Carmelo making things happen. A little bounce pass running the floor. Does Simone his 1st 295 Indiana on? That's why, when Carmelo's on the floor I owe could really get out and just be that wing player and they can't focus on them, so it allows him to get to the basket. Free passes from rebel. Oh, great finish. There's a back door cut attempt. Intercept. It is Jackson Davis through and right to Curbelo. Here he comes into a head lamp with left hand on. Capello puts it up there. He's already handed sauce to the mix Here. 97, Indiana's lead to jumper the other in No Goodbye. Durham Rebound Illinois Grandison left side back to Curbelo. Lob division is feeling pretty feet inside layup, his goods. How about Andre Curbelo? Well, Margo, coming in creating magic from the very beginning able to find not just his own basket. Finding guys in the right positions to score. Wow, What a perfect pass. The machine is fairly right over the head of his defender on a line I on a six so run to tie the game at 9 11 58 to go in the first half after a one for nine start driving his Finnessey along the baseline, stumbles and falls out of bounds, trying to get around Granderson and well, then we go to break its champagne. 11 52 to go in the first half. "Today and earn points every day on all of your purchases Supply today and a lot of guard dot org's That's a lot I card dot org. We're in Happy Valley or the fighting, Alana. Taking on Penn State. Brian Barnhart with Doug Old Murder tied and 52 rebounds, Total rebounds. 17 15 Penn State But as Doug mentioned have been many rebound chances because Illinois has 15 assists on 21 baskets. They have 32 points in the paint, but they're tied with Penn State and 52. So how do they change the I'm just going to go on like this the rest of the game or how do we change a zoo? Old coach to say Coach Hansen said over 40 minutes, you know, the better team's gonna win. So you gotta stay patient and you gotta wear these guys down and we were. We got a lot more depth than they have only play. Maybe seven tops. Eight guys of that. Really, really Six guys play a lot, so we're gonna keep you know. Keep the pressure on him. Andre Curbelo. Last three games. 18 assists, four turnovers, but also 13 fouls. He's in the game handling the point guard position guarded out there by Lundy gets a pic from machine is really tie game and 52 down the lane. Curbelo, the off balance lay up Mrs. It jumps over the advertising signs under the basket and a foul on Miles Dredd. That is his first on that is five in this half on Penn State. Illinois, headed for the bonus here pretty quick. The rate that the many lions were going with 15 11 left in the game tied at 52 Carmelo, tying his shoe at the free throw line as he gets ready to shoot a couple. That's the thing about fellow what makes him dangerous that he doesn't pick up his dribble. He keeps his dribble. But on top of that, he's always looking to make that extra pass. So if you come over Tried tol help out or slow him down. Another guy he looked. He looked for that open spot. Free throw for the freshman is good. He's up to six points. The Subaru has 13. Coburn has 18 Monty Williams with five and five for Adam Miller, 53 52, Illinois. 15 11 left in the game in Happy Valley. Second Free throw Good for Andre Curbelo. Hey, came in that first half we'd have a lot of energy on Hey, was a savior coming off the bench. He is like the old Energizer bunny coming off the bench. Driving in here is Brockington drops it off in the lane of Myron Jones. With the left hand layoff Wouldn't go rebound pulled out of there. By Frazier outlet. Curbelo shot his feelings in the game. Carmelo fakes the past drives into the lane. Had it knocked away flips it out to Frasier misfires from Three rebound inside a monthly Williams keeps it alive. Taelon I reset, but Jonah's video, Carmelo past those Sumer right side three is short rebound this time Penn State fighting for it on we're getting in over the back on Penn State. I think we're both teams are playing small ball right now. With Kofi gone, we're going to the four guards Sistemas well, A spent state look like Williams a good position, but those that they might have called him for the follow think he's surprised they've announced the Monty Williams on the foul. With 14 30 eights ago in the ballgame, Illinois up 54 52. I'm not sure about that. The refs are going to the monitor here to take a look at something that wouldn't that will propel us in the game. That ball, you gotta be. You gotta have your head on a swivel. Because if you're open, he's gonna find you. And he picks up the pace on the offensive end way played a much higher motor. He has seven points and forces four assists for Frasier. For assist for Dough. Sumo Way have an official review here. I want to see what they're reviewing. I other than Monty Williams battling for position inside with Miles drafted Brockington. Is there an inadvertent elbows somewhere? I sometimes they look for that the hook under that zit flicker trial. Now it looks like both guys were going up for and I could see Maybe why they call Williams for Polly sort of held on Dreads toe arm there a little bit. They both were trying to go for that rebound. So the review happening down on the floor.

"When you're on the go like a good neighbors, State farm. Is there a couple of games in the big 10? This one tonight, Of course, Ohio State with a huge run at the end of the game, Rutgers led for most of the game, but the Buckeyes win it 80 to 68 in Columbus, Rutgers with their first loss in Big 10 play. Here it is fenced, able to lead 23 to 12. They hit Illinois with some big uppercuts 19 to 4 on one of the things brand Underwood talk to me about before the game was there, not a big team, but they play fast and when they're hitting their shots, Look out, Boy. We saw that early. They weren't missing. Yeah, we're we're chasing right now because they're really moving the basketball and they just are a little bit to step quicker. But they're big guy Harari guy, the second file, so he's out, and that should help coffee as well. And he's perfect from the field so far, But if you keep getting that ball inside for coffee, that'd be patient and tighten up our defense on the perimeter. All right, Curbelo was found right before the break. The first free throw is good for the 61 freshman four points, fouled out The other night and Rutgers averaging 9.9 points for game but already with several assists. Second free throw is good for Curbelo. Coburn leads Illinois with 10 Myron Jones has 11 for Penn State, Illinois, in the Orange Penn State in the White Resume action 11 50 to go in the first. Damn Here is Jones dribbling Right elbow out top to Buttrick Electric back to Jones. Pull up from 16 is off the rim. No good rebound. Curbelo took it away from the bigger Buttrick. 68 here is Carmelo on the brake Left corner. Miller head fake drives in left baseline. Lost the handle Gets it back, looking to post inside his Coburn and Carmelo resets it 23 14 Penn State 11 25 to go here in the first half in Happy Valley Here is Curbelo cuts to the rim up with the underhanded stoop hadn't blocked my buttery taken out of there by Penn State Brockington left wing Lunde and a foul. On Adam Miller reaching in on that last defensive possession for us, we did a much better job coffee did he came out on was really active and got a little bit of positioning, helping out his teammates. And then he was able to roll the basket and, you know, do some rim protection. So on both that's perimeter and inside. Nice effort by the Big fella. Four fouls on Illinois course they had 26 the other day and Rutgers. Handoff on the inbound on the side. This'd is Jones out. Top to Lundy Shot clock winding down in 19. As many lions go toe work up 23 14 Way out top metric for three Got it from the top of the key metrics 68 senior out of Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, Nails his first three and again with Harry and foul trouble. She's out there for several minutes. 26 14. In favor of Penn State. Adam Miller lines up a three and nothing but net from the right wing Azi buries it for his first basket of the ball game. 26 17. Penn State here come in in the Lyons dribbled Dr Brockington with a left handed flush, and nobody stopped him right there. He got to turn the corner go downhill. Miller didn't communicate on this on the switch and freshman wasn't there to help defense and Kofi was up trying to help out after Buttrick hit that big three couldn't really help out. Much 11 point lead for the Nittany Lions 10 12 to go in the first half Illinois in the offensive end against Penn State. Man to Man here is Adam Miller. Right Wing Curbelo Cross scored left side to Monty Williams shot clock It ate right side. Curbelo bounce fast, Right baseline. Kofi. Tough spot bangs his way inside the blue paint area, and we're gonna get a foul on Penn State. You could see the turns the corner right there and gets to the basket. They're gone. He's left handed. You gotta know that rocket and he's really quick on Isaiah's. So again, it's again. They're not big, so we should be really switching on defense. There's no reason for them to get anybody guys get caught with the screen again. It's just communication Ln Oita inbound down 28 17 a trail from the get Go Curbelo near the shot clock. Fires that office. It sounded. He missed it left in short, rebounded. Penn State here comes tomorrow. Wheeler Top assist man to turnover ratio in the big 10. Holy has four turnovers so far this year in the first five games feeds it left to the post turnaround jumper Lunde from 15, and he knocks it down along these 6 ft six. You got mismatch with Frasier. Good patients by Penn State. They exposed him and try to come over and help. It was too late. 32 17 Penn State with lead 9 20 to go for Stan left side three ball. Does Sima Randall's it in those sumo with his first basket shooting for the year? 10 of 26 39% from the art Brockington the other way with an off balance shot? No good. No sumo takes it out of there comes up the left side of the court here at the Bryce Jordan. Skip Pass Right corner. William's head. Fake drives in Pass out. Stop Curbelo. Little touch pass to do sumo. Three pointers, short rebound of the corner. Penn State Wheeler outlet ahead to Myron Jones. They do Played a quick pace. It is 30 to 20 Penn State by 10. Yeah, I'd be careful. We don't get in the three point shooting contest with these guys. And here's a quick switch drive to the basket and an easy layup by Jim Ari Wheeler is Monty Williams got turned around. Yeah, Georgie right there again. He gets caught in no man's land, and you should have come over and help, But he was worried about this guy going up to the top of the key. Shawn is really in for Coburn right now, with a catch from do sumo. Guarded by Buttrick drives into the paint back in his way in right now left spin shot up in block by Bunch Regatta bounds 30 to 20. 12 point lead for the Nittany Lions here in the first half on again, Myron.

Now, here's a long three for Flagler, and he knocks it home. That possession was going nowhere and Adam Flagler ends up with a three I just I'm so impressed with the agility and quickness of the bigs for both teams, especially Baylor as long as they are. I mean, that's that's what they could do A positions like that. You're right. It was all discombobulated. They want to get the three and now they're gonna block at the other end the sumo blocked by Flo Samba Baylor, leading by six in possession, Flagler again for three. Not this time long rebound, though. BOT keeps it for the Bears. 9.5 minutes to go. Flagler has the past drives into the lane. Short jumper up in in the Baylor League grows to aid, its largest tonight, legs smell. You see blood in the water here the bears. They are after it, putting a run together biggest lead and all the moment for the first time discernible tonight in one direction. That's what the Bears out of Flagler's got. 14 points off the bench to lead all Baylor stores. Line. I working around the perimeter. Now, Curbelo into the lake drops it off for Kofi. Covert alone at the rim for the two heads stuff. Terrific fellow. Let's talk about good shot. You can't get a better one than that Two handed slam puts a little dent in the moment. Um but still Baylor getting the better of it here in the last 34 minutes. Over Just with four is Macy O T got fouled, able to flip one up on the left hand. No good team to the line. 8 47 to go. Taylor 54, Illinois 48. If that's Coburn, Is it leave? It Does. It is Number four on Kofi, who has not been able to stay on the floor tonight? Colburn with the four fouls and consumer with a three for 12 from the field here. Now, you gotta wonder was Coach Underwood going to do? "He'll wheel lefty three off the glass and goes down. We'll take it any way they can get it as the ally and I draw within three. And a quick time out taken at 10 33 to go here after that bank three pointer to draw Illinois within 49 to 46. Well, that was, you know, sometimes I hate to say it better to be lucky than good, because that's what it was. It really was. I mean, Baylor came out of the time out. Got into their three quarter court press. Gotta steal. Got an easy one came down, scored again Got the lead up. To six, which is if I'm not mistaken, and I am not mistaken their biggest lead of the night and then to play the really energetic defensive possession, really getting out after it instead of being rewarded with a stop. Frasier throws when it off the window from about 22 ft. Out. Now it's back to the three point game, but you need a break or two along the way, and that was one the line I'll gladly take well. You are always We go across the country coast to coast. We've done a cc, Big 12, PAC 12. How good is the big 10 going to be this year? This is Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan State. All those teams all in the top 10 here early in the season. Yeah, it's it's loaded. It's absolutely loaded and haven't seen Michigan State last night. They're the real deal and I'll get a chance to see Wisconsin Louisville plays Wisconsin in I'll be on that local call for that one. So I'll get a good first hand. Look at just how loaded this league is ready for an inbound trying to find out why we have the disruption here. We're waiting on a Baylor inbound on the baseline. It's like one of the officials is at the scoring table here. Don't know if it's a timing issue right now. 10 33 on the clock and Baylor leading 49 46. Both teams with five fouls here in the second half possession arrow in the favor of Baylor, and now the Bears will be handed the ball. Bobby. I said this last night. "Experience it firsthand and recognized the severity of the problem on another note we saw in Miami Dade County, which is again another area because of sea level rising because of its vulnerability to hurricanes. As is a place where that actually didn't pan out. That area certainly has had some of the worst effects of climate change in the country that had a Republican congressman Carlos Curbelo, that represented for years who was one of the more aggressive climate advocates in his party. And he lost his election last time to a Democrat. That seat flip back to Republican hands, and it's unclear though I imagine issues related to the president's criticisms about socialism certainly appealed to the Cuban And Venezuelan voters in that area and climate plate less of a role in powering Trump's win there. Let's go to John Hickenlooper of Colorado who won his race for Senate. He has an interesting climate change track record, doesn't he? That's right. I mean, as governor, He was certainly a proponent and defender of the oil and gas industry, and I don't think he is at all who your average environmentalists would choose to represent them in the Senate. However, he beat Cory Gardner, Republican and helps, you know, certainly bring the Senate numbers a little bit closer, though it looks like Mitch McConnell will will keep the Senate at least until we find out the results of the Georgia special election in January. But Hickenlooper has changed his tune in recent years. He's sort of pledged to be more aggressive about climate change. I think he represents An older sort of democratic approach to climate and we saw this during the Obama administration. They consider climate excuse me. They consider natural gas, a bridge fuel and an essential part of their climate plan. I think a lot of young voters and climate voters they're sort of fed up with that messaging, and they want to hear about your renewable plant and how you gonna transition off of fossil fuels, including natural gas as quickly as possible. So Hickenlooper's definitely going to face pressure toe up his his climate game when it suits he gets to Washington in a couple months. That brings up my next question about the Senate because I'm glad you went there about feeling pressure is the climate change issue public and visible enough that we may see some Republican senators. Crossing the aisle, perhaps to vote with Democrats on climate issues. I do think so. I think that President Trump is going to be the last candidate we've seen who has just a climate denier platform reacts like the problem doesn't exist, and then he goes in the other direction and rolling back climate regulations. I think the young people in the Republican Party and their people like Kevin McCarthy, the House minority leader, who has specifically said the party needs to doom or on climate. We haven't seen any plans yet. That would be meaningful E address that, But you know these kind of sea changes don't happen overnight. I I think that McConnell will face some pressure to do something on climate. Now. I'm not saying he's going to do anything that's tremendously meaningful. You know, I do think some of the members there will pressure the party, the Republican Party to get a climate stance that moves beyond the denial stage it into something that actually addresses the issue. Yes, This is politics. One last question for you Anything that surprised you Andy outcomes That surprised you. I think What surprised me actually is a Democratic reaction in the last few days where they're sort of focusing on what clearly was a dominant night in some ways for Republicans, and they're ignoring what was literally the most aggressive. Climate platform in presidential history, gaining a record share of the vote. I believe to a Biden has had more than 70 million people vote for him, which is more than any other candidate presidential candidate in history, He set the stage for what's going to be a new presidential platform. No other president running at least on the Democratic ticket is going to be able to have something that's less than his $2 Trillion plan to deal with climate change, So I think Their victory has not set in for Democrats have sort of been just surprised at the level of defeat was on a conference call with a bunch of environmental groups. This morning, you were talking about how they can't do this in that the Senate, But once they realize this sort of climate mandate they've been given. I think they're goingto have a little bit more confidence in crafting policy going forward. This is something that transcends age transcends that a bunch of different ethnic groups and I think it's really starting to transcend even party division. So I think that there was a sea change in climate that happened on Tuesday, and it's just now playing out just now becoming apparent people. Scott Wolfman. "Of ST Pete Ford, and I know earlier on into the show org You were talking about climate change, and you disagree with some conservatives who believe it's You know, either, not a big deal or not man made But you say it is something we need to address, and that's something that you wanted to discuss. Sure, it is definitely ah, major concern it. It impacts almost every part of life and impact. A lot of things that Conservatives have always been very concerned about like national security we saw with Michael, What did what that did to four Tindall up in the in the Panhandle. There are a lot of military installations that are located in areas at a great risk. Here in Tampa, we had Central Command, um, that that is at low levels. It's right on the Tampa Bay and would be in serious jeopardy if sea levels continue to rise. So those air The things we've focused on. In terms of solutions. We prefer things like carbon taxes, Tio just command and control regulation. But you know, there are some places where regulation is also necessary. Um Carlos Curbelo was former congressman from down in Miami. Actually Republican who sponsored a carbon tax. Uh, hey, didn't last because you got defeated in 2018. But there are Florida Republicans more than most, I think, understand the The challenges that we face in the state on the climate is going to be for going to continue to have a Florida We need to be able to address climate change in serious ways. You know, even even Mac gave up again up in the Panhandle. It understands climate pretty well and has been pretty progressive on those issues. Yeah, it sounds like you focused a lot on flooding in sea level rise that that's kind of one of the biggest certain concerns to you when it comes to climate change. Yes, Those are major concerns. It impacts other things as well and impacts the agricultural system, You know, Florida Citrus industry, It's tow have a future. Needs to be able to address what climate is going to do of the acidification. Of the oceans were a major. We're state that relies quite a bit on on tourism and also on, you know, Ah marine agriculture. Aquaculture that that's really important. We we want to continue to get our great seafood than Ocean acidification is something that we have to be concerned about. These are the other issues that need solutions. And they can't just come from the left. You know, the right also has to be engaged. I think a lot of people on the right are concerned about About how it would affect the economy. I mean, you talked about a carbon tax. How exactly would that work? And could that hurt the economy? There's a lot of different ways they could be structured. Um, the thing to keep in mind is Climate change hurts the economy. So there isn't there isn't a situation in which you have no economic damage. We're we're we're staring economic damage economic catastrophe right in the face. Andi. What solutions can you come to, uh, that reduced that damage and continue our ability to thrive and live free lives. Uh, and some of those things have a cost, but doing nothing also has a cost. So explain again, then how a carbon tax would work through so generally, carbon taxes applied Ah, high up in the chain. So at the Maybe at the refiner level on and what you do with the The money that you generate. That's where there's debate. I mean, we have proposed using a carbon tax to zero out other taxes. The difference of business taxes, Tio Bring them down, possibly to zero so that companies still are able to grow and to thrive, Um and reduce the damage you could. You could also apply a carbon tax other things like the payroll tax. The people who are hit by a higher gas prices or higher energy prices. Uh, get You know that offset by not paying as much Ah, their wages. Other any M. Other solutions to this, Possibly one thing I've heard before is that we really should switch to nuclear energy or natural gas. I mean, is that something that you guys are street Institute with support? Sure we I am not the energy expert, so I don't want to get out of them beyond my skis. But the general transition away from coal. To natural gas is one of the reasons we've been able Tio reduce emissions as much as we have. We also do support. Nuclear. Um, there's Concerns with nuclear that have to be addressed What you do with waste and how you deal with the liability if there's an accident. But those are things we think can be addressed that nuclear is absolutely got to be part of the mix, moving forward. So was there anything else that you wanted to discuss when it comes to the environment here in the state of Florida and climate change? Sure. I mean, we, uh, read an interesting moment right now. Um, I do think there are there are conservatives who are coming around on the question. We're no longer fighting as much about whether it is happening. There's some who still deny that it's happening. But moster understand that it's happening, and then we're talking about Water. The trade offs that you have to make in coming up with solutions in that. That's where we think we can play an important role in our street. So my my area in particular is just don't make things worse. Remove incentive. To.
