Why People Are Backtracking on Their Hardline Anti-LIV Stance
"There's going to be legal battles kind of up the ass here and you're right, man. If they're taking if you're taking all this money and you're playing over there and the PGA Tour says you can't come back, whatever. That's fine. Also, now kind of Davis love was even backtracking. He came out today because he was super like, I don't want anybody that's affiliated with Liv on the president's cup team, blah, blah, blah. And then I just saw that quote for him today, and he was like, well, you know, maybe if the PGA Tour didn't require 15, and then the lived in require those guys to play 14, maybe there's a way these can coexist where we have our biggest events. They have their biggest events and guys kind of mix and match throughout the whole day. There's a lot of and I wouldn't really call him a hypocrite at all 'cause he's a a plus solid guy. But, you know, he's probably looking at the big picture where he's like, shit, can't number two player in the world's going cam Smith, British open champ. Hideki, he was rumored to go biggest player in all of Asia. We need those guys. We need the dollars for him. We need the dollars from Asia. We need people watching the PJ tour. We need all this stuff. You know, at some point it's a business. You know, Rory Rory's backpedaled with his comments a little bit. So I think in my opinion, it might end up the best thing ever for people that actually like to watch golf. You might watch these guys at all the biggest tournaments.

"Everybody knew I was playing. Everybody knew I liked whisky. And so all of the Mormons that were in the tournament, which was Daniel summerhays, Zach Blair, Tony finau, and that there's like a few others that didn't drink. I wound up with like 7 bottles of TX whisky that week. It was a hell of a deal. I still have a couple of them. It had like the jacket. It had like the plow jacket, like on the top of it or whatever. Yeah, the plaid jacket. Yeah, 'cause you know how they recycle boots, right? They recycled boots, and that's what they put on the top, is a recycled food. Some are pink, you get some cool looking tops. And this was the plaid jacket. Yeah. On the top. So that was a hip hop. It really cool deal. But anyway, I wound up with 7 signed TX whisky bottles, and I think I left. You remember, what's the guy's name at colonial, the big dude. It's been there forever, dark hair. He's the locker room attend had been there for 30 years. I'm sure you've seen him before. I can't remember his name. But anyway, that dude wound up with, I think, four or 5 of those. So those guys, there's locker room attendance, the guys that really bust their balls, the entire week that really don't get much, much love. They wind up with a lot of merch. A lot of tournament gifts. Yeah, no, I had one of those colonial TX bottles and I had it here in Lubbock in I was at my neighbor's, I was on my neighbor's Christmas party a couple of years ago when we were talking shit about whisky and I showed him that, we just drank the whole thing, probably just should have kept it. But anyway, it was a nice bottle. And then I don't even know if I'd ever even had TX on like that is good shit. Yeah, but like the balls. Yeah, dude, if I MC hammered, I'm giving all my balls and gloves and hats to whatever sometimes I'd give them. There's always a guy in the parking lot. It's like working his ass off in the sun, sweat, and then you come back Saturday and every single the guys got on like a Callaway or tailor made hat. You know what I mean? The guy's got like on a few different house because guys are just giving them away out of the deal. They love it. Dude, yeah, locker room guys.
For Sports Agents LIV Golf Is a 'No Brainer'
"I think I got to take the perspective of an agent right now. Because if you think about this, the age of right, when you're a player, a lot of these high profile guys, they literally are on a leash by their agent. They don't do anything that their agent says not to do. A robot and the best sense of the word, and then when their agent tells them to show up where this, eat that, talk to him, get this phone number, play golf with him, they do it, right? They do it. So a lot of these dudes, especially these younger guys, can get swayed by the agents. So much and if I'm taking the agent's perspective here on Cameron Smith and he's got a $100 million fishing line out in front of him, guess what the agent fee on the PGA Tour is the normal one is. 20%. It's 20 percent. So 20 million dollars of that 100 million would go to this agent. That, that's generational money for the agent. Not just Cameron Smith, so what do you think that agents pushing for? What do you think bubba Watson and Dustin Johnson, all their agents were pushing for? All Greg Norman has to do is get a bunch of agents on his side. That's it. And he's going to have a full roster period. But so that's kind of my perspective on it. I've got kind of an aged point of view at this point with the live because the agents want these guys to take it more than anything. It's the biggest cut in professional sports. There's not another pro sport that pays 20%. To their agents.

"Just in case, just in case I needed to. What's the easiest club? It was also a thing like it was also a situation where all this shit's free all the time. I'm just going to take as much as I want. Not even free. They're paying you to take it. But what do you think, what do you think's the easy of the easiest club to switch? Like for me, it was always like, I was lob wedge, like fresh grooves like this new was like an advantage. Like I had no issue at all. I could switch, I could have shoot a 59 11 days in a row with the same live weight and switch to a brand new one day 12 and not even feel like it's an issue. Well, what was it? I was probably this. I was probably the same, but if we for discussion's sake, it was a hybrid or a 5 would in some sort of ten yard gap in there. And I would switch that all the time. I remember I went through three two irons in a month and a three iron and then I'd have a 5 way that was weaker that I'd put in every now and then. And then I had a steel shafted 5 wood and all that I could fly it a little bit better. But yeah, if it was a lob wedge, it was like a versatile 5 wood two iron kind of deal and I don't know how many of those I had. All my buddies that come over now that have come over in the last ten years. I used to have, you've got a massive garage full of clubs and I don't know if you keep your Friends from taking them or how you've stopped your Friends. You just take all my shit. They just take it. But I don't have anything left. I mean, I had a ton do and I've got nothing. I had probably 25 circle teas at one point. Probably 25. I might have four. Yeah, no. They're just gone. Like everything's just gone. I don't know where it went. I was playing to the buddy of mine I haven't played with the other day and he pulled out this beached double O 9 GSS. I was like, hey, that's a sick butter dude. I looked at it and had peed on the toe. Oh, God. I don't even remember this one, but it's been gone for ten years. And of course it was at racially and he threw it in his he threw it in his bag without a head cover, just clanking everywhere. Of course. $10,000 putter. Yeah, of course. So I don't know where they would, but that's part of the deal. You get all this free shit, you lose track of it, and then your buddies take it. Yeah. Well, especially when you get older, like, when you're younger, like you are on tour, you were on tour pretty young, so you're a lot of your buddies like, didn't have money. I wasn't, well, when I was on corn ferry tour for a while I was young, you're still getting free shit left and right there. But they'll take it. But now you have the same asshole friends and they're making good living and they're still looking for free shit. The whole time. They can buy literally everything in your garage, no problem.
Are the Cameron Smith LIV Rumors True?
"I'm sure that he's getting Cameron Smith is getting yelled at and called a trader and whatever. I mean, I'm sure that's happening. This week. And we don't even know if he's going yet. A lot of these rumors turned out the just back just that rumors and fake news. So I don't know. I don't even know if he's going. I don't know what to believe anymore in the Twitter sphere and the Internet scene, but it sure does appear as if all the experts on the tweeter think the Cameron Smith is out of here. Yeah, I mean, he's the other thing, dude. I mean, some of these guys will straight up say, no, I'm not going like if it was more a car where a lot of these other a lot of these other rumors but cam Smith is not said that he is not going. Like he is all of his comments have been, you know, don't ask me. I just want the British open. You know, I'm here to celebrate that. And then this week it was, I'm here to win the FedExCup, you know what I mean? If the guys are not going, they're going to say it like immediately, I am not going. You know, maybe he's going to renegotiating a little bit after that British open situation where who knows. I mean, if he's taking a $100 million, which is a lot of money, which is what it was rumored on there. And that's the other thing reason you think it's probably true is there's a definite amount people are talking about. But if he's taking a 100 million racks and he won the British open, which with sponsorships and whatever, we thought might be worth 20 or so. Especially for him, number one Australian guy, who knows, dude. Maybe he's holding out for something. But you know, he could win the FedExCup too. He's playing well again in Memphis. I think he was two going into the FedExCup, so you know he's way up there. So if he plays well, he's going to win the damn thing. How about that? What if the Brit rainy British open champ and FedExCup champ leaves leaves the tour? Well, then you'd end up with this situation.

"They turned it down super last minute thing. And it ended up not being, I guess there could have been precedent. The PGA Tour was good that they didn't, you know, that for the PGA Tour, those guys weren't able to play, oh, and I like that too. Why are we actually on this side of that too? Yeah. If they want to be independent, let them be independent. Who gives a shit? If you pick one pick one, you shouldn't be able to play both. I agree with that judge. Yeah. Yeah, so anyway, the transcripts and things like that throughout that throughout the Taylor gooch was the other guy. But the transcript throughout the thing, you know, Sergio, I think some texts between him and Norman were kind of leaked or whatever, not late. They were part of the evidence. And yeah, they did they had been talking for months and months and months. And Norman was basically saying they can't ban you for a single day, let alone a whole year life or whatever it is. Obviously, you know, that's not true. But there's going to be legal battles kind of up the ass here and you're right, man. If they're taking if you're taking all this money and you're playing over there and the PGA Tour says you can't come back, whatever. That's fine. Also, now kind of Davis love was even backtracking. So I think in my opinion, it might end up the best thing ever for people that actually like to watch golf. You might watch these guys at all the biggest tournaments. You know, it's going to absolutely put kind of the second tier tour events in shambles because, you know, they won't see any big guys or it'll be, you know, whatever. They might have one guy, two guys on the top 20 or something like that or 5 in the top 50 because they're playing all these other big ones or they're taking time off because they're bouncing back and forth between this live thing. So that might suck. But you're going to see the biggest guys in all the majors, which is what you want, right? And then maybe a couple other couple other big events.
Did Scottie Scheffler Walk Through Cameron Smith's Line on Purpose?
"Did you see scheffler walking through cam smith's line, the pictures or videos or all that? Do you think that was a deliberate deal or do you think that was just whatever. I mean, when you look at cam smith's face looking back, he's like, he gave he's like, what the fuck is happening type scenario? Yeah. What did you make of that whole ordeal? I don't know. I don't really care. I think it's just one of those deals. I just don't really give a shit. Like, who cares? Who cares? It gets much couple golfers. It's a couple golfers. It doesn't matter. There's nothing happened. Even if he deliberately does. Even if it was deliberate, they're not going to ever we're not going to know their golfers, bro, it's not like they're going to fight it out after the round. We're never going to know. They're going to be like, because I heard on the broadcast yesterday, everyone was talking about it. They're like, oh yeah, they were joking about it in the locker room after it's not a big deal. But that's what they were going to say regardless if it was deliberate or not. It's golf. You're expected to be a gentleman. Gentleman's game. They're not going to be like, oh man, they went. They got to fist a cuffs in the parking lot afterwards. It was tough. It's not going to happen. So I will never know. I don't think we'll know if it's liquid. I mean, I'm sure that he's getting Cameron Smith is getting yelled at and called a trader and whatever. I mean, I'm sure that's happening. This week. And we don't even know if he's going yet. "You know, there's a lot of nice things that they can do as far as convenience with travel and stuff like that. But really, unless you're in the, you know, I'm keeping my card every year for 5 year type situation. I'm not even sure why a guy would want to have an agent out there. It's like equipment number dollars and stuff like that. And then they're a big player. Wasserman's huge. They run toured at like they've got, they've got a massive stable of players, but and then what I ended up doing was going with a company called blue giraffes forts out of Atlanta and they were like a star they barely had anyone. Sure. And I did it because the guys came to Baton Rouge and party with me one night. In hindsight, it was the dumbest move I ever made going with these people. Like they had no connections that didn't know anyone. They didn't even negotiate my contracts. I only got 50 grand from Titleist. And in retrospect, the first team all American coming out of college, won the national championship. That's nothing these days. That's a $500,000 minimum. Nowadays with these kids, but I remember telling them, I remember telling them like, hey, I want to keep all 50 grand of my signing bonus from Titleist. And they're like, all right, cool, like they just let me do it. And they didn't have anything else for me. Like not one other endorsement at all. Everyone else in my situation came out of school with all kinds of stuff. And that's what I regret. If I was going to tell these kids, I don't know who's listening. I think our age range is high school to 40, 50 years old. But these kids, man, when they come out, if they're a can't miss kid, signed with a big IG wasserman yeah, you're going to pay a little more in fees, but man, do they help a ton that got an entire travel section?
TPC Southwind Is a Sneaky Water Ball Course
"Is this week is pretty good. I like TPC south wing, pretty nails course there. It's tough. It seems like they're going a lot lower this year than in years past. I remember always around even par was the cut, maybe one under. And you don't realize that dude, it's a sneaky water ball course. I think it has more water balls than any course on any course on tour every single year. You always say it's like TPC sawgrass or whatever, but when you think about it, this place has got water all over all over the place. Especially on the back 9, you have like 11, 11, 12, 14, 18, couple catastrophic holes there. So on TV, like, I don't know. It's not as fun for probably the viewers as some of those other courses and not as recognizable, but it's a good test, dude. I only played that event once, and I played decent. I think I made the cut. Actually, I think that was the year you probably Monday. That was 2012. It was the same.

"And we can't let that happen. We just can't let that happen on this podcast because we are for the people. At the end of the day, the guy's a hell of a player. Beyond nails. That is the hardest part three of the PGA Tour. It's a hybrid, three yard or four iron every day. It's for the people. You're the last group off off a split tea horseshoe on number ten, and you do a happy Gilmore. What the hell's wrong with that? Well, it's playoff edition of FTP. FedExCup playoffs. This week, there were a little late catch up to you on the weekend, but right now they've got two arrows remaining. Over there in Memphis, my opinion, one of the greatest golf courses, the PGA Tour place all year. It's always one of my favorites. It's the first tournament I ever Monday qualified into. Special place or luck art or Memphis also probably the best barbecue food week of the year. Yeah, everyone talks about the rendezvous. Barbecue there on the range, rendezvous on the range. In my opinion, the Germantown commissary right down the road takes a big steaming shit on rendezvous barbecue. It's playoff season. We've got a good leaderboard last I looked, will zalatoris. He's through about 16 holes on Friday, or sorry it's Saturday. And he might just get his first pug here tour win this week. Anyway, we don't really have a tone for you, but two shows a week. That's what you get. Here we go. What do you got, JJ? Not a lot, honestly. This is this week is pretty good. I like TPC south wing, pretty nails course there. It's tough. It seems like they're going a lot lower this year than in years past. I remember always around even par was the cut, maybe one under. And you don't realize that dude, it's a sneaky water ball course. I think I made the cut. Actually, I think that was the year you probably Monday. That was 2012. It was the same. Yeah. Yeah, so it was good. I actually played with daily three times. That tournament. That was his home course at the time. So like massive galleries. And I played good on Thursday, Friday and Sunday, and I played horrible on Saturday, and I played with JD Saturday and we had a kazillion people following us and I was pretty sure I shot the worst score of the entire day except for one guy who was John Daly. Pretty sure he fired a higher number than I did that day. You know, it was like, you always let play with JD, but I was like, I feel as if I should be playing with someone else tomorrow. Please do not let us tie again today.

Because you have keen abilities at seeing the future electorally politically. You are a pundit, you write at town hall dot com. You've got your various radio shows, so today, I know we're talking about current events, but what do you want to talk about specifically? The article that you wrote, how often do you write a town hall? Because I think you might be pretty awesome. Yeah, I publish every Sunday. So if you're enjoying your cup of coffee before you're off to church, you can log into town hall and have 800 words with me and hopefully that'll put you in a better frame of mind. Starbucks Is Closing 16 Stores Over Safety Concerns
"Anyway, Starbucks, they've been woke for a long time now, and they've tried to force that upon their customers. And all they want is that they just want to fork over their $5 so they can get a burnt cup of cold coffee. So in 2018, there were a couple of guys and there were black guys and that's important to the story and I'll explain that in just a moment but two black guys go into a Starbucks and they were wanting to use the bathroom and they said, no, you can't use the bathroom because the bathroom is only reserved for grace baker, the bathroom is reserved for customers. Customers paying customers, right? Now is that a bad thing? I mean, it seems to me that's a pretty normal thing. Now, you could, if it's an emergency, you could ask the Starbucks people, and I'm sure they would say, okay, you know, just this once. But these two guys go in there and they said, no, you're not allowed to use the bathrooms because you're not a paying customer. The place was packed, and so the guys refused to leave the store. So they called the popo. And so the popo come down, and the popo said, you gotta leave the store and you're trespassing. You're not a paying customer. You've got to leave them. The guys said, no, we're not going to leave. They got arrested. National news story, Starbucks accused of racism and they immediately capitulated to the woke mob. And so Starbucks implemented a new policy and the new policy said anybody is welcome to use our bathroom. Now grace baker, when they first announced this policy, I thought to myself, heaven help anybody who's going anywhere near a Starbucks for coffee. Yeah, it's a good point, because they're letting anybody. It doesn't matter. So what happened? So every homeless person in the cities started showing up and turning the bathrooms and the stories, folks, it's the lunch hour for those of you out on the east coast and we don't want to upset your baloney sandwich, but the horror stories coming out of those bathrooms. Gross. Unbelievable. But beyond that, you had all these mental whack jobs that were coming in. They were fighting with the customers. You had drug addicts going in and shooting up in the bathrooms. And this was all documented. I mean, they're just been horror stories since 2018. So finally, Starbucks said enough is enough. I mean, people's lives were literally in danger. If you were a barista at Starbucks, your life was in danger. If you worked in some of these, these Starbucks locations. Terrible. Now here's the interesting thing. I've got the list of all the Starbucks that are shutting down every single one of them in a Democrat controlled state and a Democrat controlled city with DAs and every one of these cities who are soft on crime. There you go. All of them. I'm seeing a pattern there. Again, once you go woke, you go broke.

We're Still Waiting on That Nathan MacKinnon Extension
"We are kind of living in the afterglow if you will of the Stanley Cup for the Colorado avalanche and Joe sakic sort of retooling a couple things still waiting on the Nathan McKinnon extension, assuming it's just a matter of time right here if they're working on a Mark. Yeah, I would imagine. I mean, there's a lot of work to be done. That one's going to get done. Those ones just take time, right? They time and a little bit of a little bit of caressing. Joe Sakic Wins the 2022 NHL 'GM of the Year' Award
"Joe sakic Wednesday NHL GM executive of the year award and so deserving and again, it's a regular season award that was voted on, but boy, it would have looked kind of silly to have given it to somebody else after you saw the way the avalanche went out and won the cup. In large parts of the moves he made, man. He pushed every button and hey, we've been pretty lucky here in this town to watch. Guys that were great athletes championship athletes also kind of show their chops as an executive. First John Elway and now, Joe sack, yeah, and that's pretty rare. Isn't it? To have a guy who's awesome on the ice or on the field, be able to spot talent and have and have a knack for putting a team together and understanding the levers to pull in the buttons to push, 'cause a lot of guys man, a lot of guys are just instinctively so good and they can't explain why and they can't put it together and I know some will accuse John Elway of having a little bit of that later in his career, but he brought us another Super Bowl as an executive and Joe sacking, this award much deserved to me, you look at Jared bednar and that's Jared bednar is just a reflection of Joe sakic's approach and just trusting him to get his team on the right track. A guy who was not well known and gave him the reins and so much deserved a joke sacking and let's go get another

Blackhawks trade DeBrincat to Senators before NHL draft
"NHL draft day began with several moves involving veteran players the biggest of which was forward Alex to brink at going from the Blackhawks to the senators Chicago received the 7th and 39th picks in this week's draft along with the third rounder in 2024 The 24 year old to bring it just tied a career high with 41 goals and established a personal best with 78 points The Stanley Cup winning avalanche acquired goaltender Alexander georgiev from the rangers for three draft picks And the penguins signed veteran defenseman Chris la Tang to a 6 year $36.6 million deal I'm Dave
Joe Sakic Set to Meet With Pending UFA Kuemper's Agent
"Well, maybe we shouldn't be so hasty in. Saying goodbye to Darcy Kemper and thanking him for his one year winning the cup, but time to move on to somebody else because as will Peterson writes that Denver fan dot com. Joe sakic made meeting with Darcy Kemper's agent his first real big free agent I guess intention, he brought back Andrew cogliano, that was nice, but that was just the appetizer. We're all wondering what's going to happen with the big guys, right? What's going to happen with Kemper, kadri, you choose skin. Burke costy, Manson, all these guys. What does it tell you that the first real outreach was to Darcy Kemper's agent? It tells you that you know it's a weak free agent market from a goaltending standpoint. So Darcy Kemper is probably your best option. Your best option might be willing to take a little bit of a hometown discount and I think a thirdly, I think it just points to the amount of respect that grew during that playoff during the playoff run, especially against Tampa when you know you're not a 100%, but you're going out there and you're just, you're just throwing your body around, trying to block bucks. I think they grew in their respect for what he had to accomplish. What he had to go through to be able to show up every night and get that

"Prior to that it was a good time. Like okay Basically starting is going to say that the indoor has like an east coast midwest feel to it like whenever you something being in the stadium gonna play like you just feel like it belongs in in like we plan you know. There's a team in up up north internally. There was a team in ontario. Close closer to me here And it was a team. Down in san diego Unlike you playing those games in like it. Kinda i dunno. It just doesn't happen. You go play like the in the city like Saint louis that you just like it just fuels like or belongs there so i can imagine that. It was the beer in southern california. I mean just. There's no reason to be indoors. Beach soccer makes a lot more sense of anything else. Does over your neck of the woods especially Go back to beat soccer. Twenty twenty one world cup coming up this month Just in when people this a few days from now so let's start with. Qualifying wasn't a breeze. How'd that go now. Agrees qualify always attesting that. I i feel like qualifying is almost meaning. Obviously you're bringing in big teams for the world cup. Qualifying is difficult in the sense. That like every every team wants to be in that world cup. So there's like because once you make it to workup it. It's not like you made it but you did accomplish you like you made it there. So he's kind kinda cool but to not make it is like feels tear. It urge you really like so For qualifying that everyone's like going crazy going hard trying to win and we have some good teams in cock calf and El salvador who actually ended up We ended up playing the final. Who who won the game. They're always they've always been like for as long as i've been on the team. They've always like a competitor for us and the nexico obviously is always a big clash And this year we were able to knock him out. In the semis. Which was like an amazing yeah. It was off year for mexico all around. She felt good to get that win. is history with mexico. And kinda missing out on on a world cup and stuff like that so Yeah i mean it was. It's it's a tough this this qualifier. We have some newer faces. Some guys are making debuts stuff so it was it was cool it was like a little bit of a challenge getting making sure that we kinda like it will come together and everyone was like You know doing their thing But in the end. I think that's like what we have. Is that like we. We come together reunited in kind of play hard for each other. And then we have like a a roster of like some veteran guys in a lot of skilled guys. So yeah i mean there's some there's some some games that aren't as demanding. I would say as as you get later in the in the into the termine but yeah the last. You know panama's a team that we have troubling before the tournament so we beat them was good game for us. And then you don't mexico's one in mexico is the big one right. That was the one athlete is gonna go. What are you guys going home right right. Rosa a that was like you and you qualify so so that yeah that was huge and and if you have that that one play them. I mean last the previous world cup qualifying. It was like the reverse where we played el salvador in the summer is and we beat them in in. Pk's in at mexico in the final So this time was like pretty funny. I kinda swamped it. it But the result was similar in that we were able to qualify so really stoked on that pompton excited tournament in so it gets started. What are the dates. Does it start the august night. Eighteenth ninety it's nineteenth to the twenty nine. Yes that's exactly so. August nineteenth twenty nine. You guys are in not you guys us. We america we are in group a with. It looks like they're calling them. Or if you so i guess that's carry over from the drug scandal so the russian mesh federal indubitable union or some shit like that rather than is russia so as russia. Us paraguay japan as you said. At the beginning. I know japan is a series team. Russia is one of the better like they've actually won some of the world cup's imperishable. I i think is pretty good. Right there no pushover. Paraguay said until the last world cup. I didn't know much about paraguay in terms of be chartered but Yeah they They hosted the last cup right. They did they hosted the last one so we went there and we actually had the group and it was the last game of our group We were kind of you know bit a bit beaten down by the results of the other games They came on. They played well man. They were fit and they escort some goals. In so i just. I realized that you can't really take anyone and you shouldn't ever whenever you're playing a sport in general but Especially with beach manage so many so many things you can account for in terms like the bounce of the ball and that sort of thing referees make calls there's always some weight drama or something You just got really take every team as seriously as as as the other team And really treat it like it's a big match because especially in the i mean you have three games. He had three games to to make it onto the next round. And the all as says the next one's not so. I mean i assume you're an athlete. So you're going into your competitive so you go into the second like we wanna win right. We wanna win the world cup. But what would you consider to be like a failure. If you've made it out of the group would you then be like well. At least this has been a success based on two thirteen to two thousand nineteen or is there something more you want more than that. I mean for sure. I think it's one of those things. Where like you mean we want. I mean there's no point in competing if you don't want to if you don't wanna take it all like why why are you doing it Obviously the are.

"And i want you to come in house like okay. Yeah so yeah. So that happened. I went to el salvador. we did like I didn't know at the time but it was like it was like a some sparring games basically with el salvador to get right or the world cup so We went there. Played a few games and then at the end of that trip. You kind of had the same conversation he was like. We're going to woke up. I want you to come and so yeah go somewhere around like a month later. I was on the plane with the team. Had into the hiti for be charles woke up first official like official official tournaments It was pretty crazy like hat. Images happened so quickly that it was like kind of a surreal. Surreal thing in the admits. It's wild out. I think about it because feels like a lifetime ago but at the same time it also feels like it was yesterday so with the how the how the two thousand thirteen beach world world cuppa go. Free guess It's it was. It was a tough one. We we have drew a pretty a pretty tough group. So we had spain tahiti who was hosting and then Uae and prior to that world cup to he had been training pretty regarding for it amount of months leading into it because they were hosting. They wanted to you know. Have a good showing and then. Spain has always been a strong team in beach so that first game against spain we ended up losing five four. I think like at the at the end of last minute of the game. Something like towards the end. It was a close game. That than the tahiti game we actually went into overtime and ended up losing in overtime Which was kind of a heartbreaker and then The uae game. We won in that game. I played the most in. And i ended up scoring my first my first and second goal in that game and in system game so it was like a pretty cool pretty special game for me. Even though considered we didn't move on past the group stage was it was pretty special to be able to get a goal in that tournament Nba involved in it to that extent. So so yeah we. Unfortunately the last two times we've gone we haven't gotten out of the group setting because i mean man is the world cups like not no joke. You got a lot of good teams in there that their training and playing lot. You're out so it's tough to compete with some of those is But i think this year you know this next month this month becoming. I think i would give feeling we. We've got a good team guys from the that i go around still in the mix and then we have some senior guys. Nick mixed. it'll be a. It'll be cool. Cool thing to see like how we're able to to perform come together and put online nice to support your point. I know that in two thousand thirteen. I think tahiti and spain were both in the semifinals of that world cup. Yeah they weren't. They weren't pretty deep. I think ethics. I think he might have gone to the final or now around. Spain did. Spain lost russia in the final. I did research here legit people. I'm shocked. I know shocking. People by the i know little over here. Tahiti tahiti lost brazil in the semi in the goal. What third place game Out an and spain lost to russian final so listen those were the two teams you had croup stuff and there's a lot of and like it's only getting the team's only getting stronger like as time goes on so Actually this this world are we drew a the host russia and then we have Japan in paraguay and those are those are two significant teams as well. So i mean it's not going to be an easy in easy but I do think that we have a good shot at at it nice. I got more questions for you on the twenty twenty one world cup which is coming up people. Listen to this. It's just going to be a few days in advance. And that's part of the reason. I wanted people to get a sense of the most interesting man in the soccer world number one but also wanted people to know the world cup the beach world cup coming up in people's would pay attention because the us us in it in. It should be a lot of fun. And i've watched on tv and it's first of all it's a different game. They didn't the normal soccer. But it's a lot of fun to watch on. tv. It's really sort of tv friendly. But let's talk about soccer real quick. So i've played soccer one time in my entire life. You're probably surprised by this but there's actually a pretty nice beach here in chicago lake as opposed to ocean so different but there's actually a very nice beachfront in there is a beach leagues. That play down there. I played one time And my experience involved. The keeper on our team getting his Not as femur but whatever the shinbone. His bone snapped in half. I assume moves a just a free play That he had went in on a on a sort of a challenge with guy in his shinbone snapped. And it made a sound that i will never forget. It was so loud. And i don't think that like scared me away from beach soccer at all because like. I think that things can happen anywhere if you're playing sports and especially soccer. But it was the greatest. It wasn't a grace off by two things. Were this guy's shinbone snapping and making a sound that was just still chills. My my blood number two holy shit. That was hard insane and all heads the house. I okay yeah. You know what i'm going back to the grass. I'm getting back his regular soccer for somebody who's played a lot of heat soccer and knows the game inside out what are sort of the big differences between b. soccer and normally soccer. Yeah I mean it like you said it's it's almost different like completely different sport in a way at the same time. There are a lot of similarities to soccer in the sense of You're playing with soccer ball the way you're the way you're moving you're connecting passes but at the same time the way you're connecting passes is different because instead of keeping.

"God net going low that right now just out of like pure Because we just beat city but if you would ask me before the city game narrative absolutely helen All right let's go rest of world. She had sucks. Man has a little ball for for what ours. Low fans are feeling great sits in. That's something's up that sums about Speaking of shit socks barcelona so messy obviously gone of the door. A but barcelona bounced back in the first game in associated. Four to two in a game that was on pri- like basically a national tv on abc which was actually a lot of fun is Say was a a great game because the first eight or so minutes were just ever since calls. Barcelona was just sort of walking over associated. Had put up no fight until the eighty second minute and then they came back with a vengeance made it a game in barcelona scored another one is salted away for two good game though In a in a good performance. I would say bye bye. Barcelona who before the game before the day before. He didn't know if they were going to have enough to actually play the shadow to pk for. Basically playing this season for free lending his He's fucking care about a dollar side with that house. I mean he's like in top five most famous woman in the world. That's fair i mean. He doesn't need the money now. Obviously it's the brady giselle of the soccer world that's fair. I think it's fair. it's not brady despair. Whatever it's also fair Preview the weekend the game to watch i would say probably still barcelona Play athletic club. Bilbao says probably a game to watch his affairs. Avi on monday another one. Throw it there. I'm ex i'm excited for. Espn covering lolita buddhist heads a major upgrade for people to watch a different soccer too good show. Yeah i mean. I don't know if being still say i'm not convinced that actually is is never id. They can barely ever stream it pretty much fucking anything. Anything portland's he sent me. You can find anything. The park avenue. That's that's uncalled for your the producer you can artois No but you're right. I bet a very good call. I'm so glad. I know i've said this before. I'm so happy that espn slash espn plus. Now has lita so we can watch it. it's funny that they got it now. That messy in alto. Both left appeal not exactly ecstatic about that but it should be fun fumbling to to wash for sure germany lot of things talk about germany so a goal for gio rada in a big win over frankford this weekend debut for joe scally Who was young. He plays for gladbach and they were playing a little team. Kart called by munich editor. If you've heard them for them for but He basically. I mean it. Amazing game play left. That is typically a right back left back and he had an awesome game against biron medic in his bundesliga day. I mean let's put it left. Backs are in right now as eighteen year old. It's just amaze like Joe scouts it's awesome. I was so happy for him and they played the big game coming up this weekend. They play limerick gladbach goes at leverkusen. That's a a big game on saturday. And the other one i'll shut out a rb l. In studio play on. Fridays gut won their first in rbm. Lost the first game to might so that is a really big game for rb l. because You know if they're going to challenge buyer can't try to reports in the bundesliga syria so they did not play this past week in their opening day. Is this coming weekend. The game i saw that i sort of immediately glommed onto was napoli hosting venetia vinicius. Now of course. America's further coolest instagram club of all time is also true advantage. They they're instagram game. I assume that twitter game Lamentable like their social media game is in at stadium is so gorgeous to. It's just like one of the cooler clubs like ever their jerseys cool. I mean the emmys. Venice which is one of the cool cities around people. Stay up if they can stay up. be great and i think their own are they not owned by americans or at least personally owned pressure it does actually Got his debut for for vinnie in a league. Kokin the snapping said. They're gonna get smoked. Yes please came as we'll see how that goes hopefully desperate plays hopefully busey plays but yeah the team that Is sort of must follow. At least i don't know at least not exactly Mls quickly before we get the best bets in gauloise anything to call out. I mean i chicago. One which is worth mentioning. Just because there's only has the sounds. Let be as real. Mls after dark. Never disappoint yeah. I think tommy was the one actually back when we were doing. The rankings wouldn't waiver on seattle. You were like pretty stuck on seattle. Right i was. I was stuck out as well. But i didn't have a look tom. I had to england followed right but that to spot. I remember floating case ian stop Couple of guys were pretty slim. Yeah so mls is like the last few weeks. It's it's been weird with all these guys gone gold cup and all this stuff and then of course like actually gonna get into World cup qualifying before long. What are we like two and a half weeks away from world cup golfing so like it's gonna get. The season just feels disjointed and at the end of the day. what really matters is playoffs. So like it's you know we're basically looking towards who makes the playoffs because if you make playoffs in. Mls you got shot. That's all that's all really matters But yeah new. England just keeps rolling if doppler tougher power rankings for for months of pretty hot the more. Yup i sort of did chicago little dirty right there. I think in the last ten games. They're four two and four which isn't as terrible as sort of making out to be. But still gimme your right around ten. Yeah we got a little ways to go. Jose that nashville keeps doing their thing like they've been drawing games left or right but beat the pants off. Dc united this weekend five two and then of course as you said seattle portland which was the last game of the weekend on sunday night in. That was an awesome cave six. Two's is what the final score was. But some of those goals cool who wasn't madrid madryn hall pulse goals. I hit off of korbut just from twenty thirty three yards just incredible. Let's move onto best bengals dukes. Alright best bets. We don't have mitch so we don't need any alternate line up. Picks here unless somebody wants to give a.

"Recovery process. The only thing you wanna do when you get back is play and just and just feel it again. You know feel feel the energy and feel the excitement and feel that the desire and the dedication sacrifice to win And obviously when when i ended up playing in the last game of the season You know even before. I played them the game. I knew i wanted to go somewhere I think i think there was this big question internally amongst league you know win. The season was actually going to start again in twenty twenty one Trying to figure out obviously the the pandemic and and how the season would work in you know it. Was everything going to get better. So the big question. Was you know if if the season didn't start and i was and i stayed in mls And i didn't go anywhere i would. I would potentially be off november december january february. I mean we're going into maybe five six months of not playing after. I just came back from a nine month. Rehab of e surgery so for me you know that that essentially would push me back an extra five six months of getting into finding the best form That that i was at which is kind of the science behind it I think they said it takes about sixteen months From from your surgery To kind of could kind of find form. And i see i could be missing a little bit there but something that you could be to some extent. That's right so yeah. I think ultimately might decision was i wanted to go somewhere and then it was just it was just about working with the league Sorry working with my team. These united To try and figure out. Okay where can i go. Where is it you know. Where can where i potentially still be protected. Where could the team potentially look out for me because you don. I'm still a mexican citizen so for me to play in mexico. I don't count as a foreigner You know which is a huge benefit for for some of the mexican clubs so Could i go down there. But then the question became you know what if what if i was overused You know what if i was heard. What if something happened And obviously still technically trying to maintain my knee and still go through this recovery process so there was a lot of different things that went into went into it and to me end up me ended up being swazi The dc united owner. Jason levian is also part owner of swansea And i think for me when he when he kind of presented that opportunity to me talked about. If i was interested in going. I said absolutely i would love to go You know there wasn't ever a doubt in my mind thinking. Okay you know i. I don't think there's any player that that comes back from an acl injury and you know his fourth game back. He is in the is against manchester city. United mean Ahead of me. I'll just ask you. I mean it's it's tough man. It's tough so obviously i was extremely. I was extremely excited to to go over there and it was just. It was a tough transition To be honest with you You know. I definitely can say you know wi with a lot of confidence that i kind of went over there as a Reinforcement of positions. Which kind of made it tough for me because again. I'm coming back from acl injury. And all i wanna do is play. I want to be in a position where i can constantly get games where i can find good form where i can continue to show myself in gain the confidence back And unfortunately i just didn't really get the chance to do that. And and you know never really found myself On the field. And when i did it was it was in. You know tough tough situations And yeah that's you know that's kind of how how it went. And obviously i ended up getting injured. a couple times over there Which kind of. Just push back my my. You know my rehab and and my recovery time at at the end of the at the end of the day that it makes sense for me to continue to stay over there until the end of the season You know when when i was probably going to be out for you know an extra month and a half or so so that was kind of bad decision to come back early to at the c. To to get guys who have worked with me before who know my body You know to kind of help me recover and obviously they did and and you know my quads been fine sense but Yeah it was definitely. It was definitely an experience. I'll tell you that It was it was it was something different And you know. Obviously i'm extremely eager to prove myself and you know there's another opportunity to go to go abroad and and you know it's a play in europe. I i definitely will take it but obviously has to be. The right situation has to be the right environment for me You know because at the end of the day you know. I want to succeed. I want to be successful And sometimes you can help yourself by You know knowing where the right spot is and and you know it might be a little more difficult so so. You're a as you said you didn't quite get as much you weren't over there as long as you would've liked asli given the injuries but your debut was against manchester city in the fifth round of the fa cup. I mean what was that like.

"Doing and specifically how your your hamstring doing. yeah physically. Obviously it was tough You know to have to go out of the first game With a hamstring injury. I think you know looking back on and what kind of everyone's told me. It was a very smart decision to kind of go myself out. I kind of felt it start to a little bit. Tighter and tighter Just in the beginning of the game To to the point where. I thought you know if i really keep going. I think you know i really hurt myself And luckily with with my experience and and you know. I think being a part of the gold cup and just kind of Kind of kind of feeling like veteran in kind of understanding the situation. I i kind of made the choice. Hey i think now is the right time before you know. I push myself to so the time the you know. There's no turning back so luckily You know it's nothing too serious. Obviously you know something that that. I've continuously worked on You know for little over a week now and you know every day making progress so The hopes is obviously to be on the field as soon as possible And you know whether that comes in. The quarterfinals are not You know to be to be determined but You know feeling good at the moment. Feeling making a lot of progress like i said And really just excited to contribute. Okay do you think you think if this was your first rodeo. You've been around a little bit at this point. You've been around the us men's national team. He played overseas. You've actually don't allow mls If this was like your first game on the us men's national team in your life felt that twins do you think you would have played through it and the apps yourself up. I think so. I think for sure That's kind of like you know what what i was hinting at. When i when i said like i had the understanding that. Hey it's a long. It's a long tournament. Why why risk your your body and especially me obviously coming back from an acl injury you know what people sometimes don't understand is that your body is completely different. You know when when you have to go and you have to put you have to make a a graph out of you know a different ligament attendant or whatever it is and re put it somewhere else like you're teaching your body you know it's just never your body's never the same after surgery In you know. That's something that i all by also had to learn. It's a difficult thing. And that's why there's a lot of ups and downs post post the acl knee surgeries. Is that your body's continually trying to to adapt and learn that you know it is the way it is now and you know you're going to have to figure out the best way to to stay healthy so obviously this is kind of another obviously a small obstacle but You know have my acl. I went through a couple of quad quad quad injuries. I've dealt with a little bit of tendonitis in my left hamstring. Over the past. Couple of months. So it's just kind of adaptation trying to trying to get better Which can be obviously super frustrating as a player Especially when you know. I i feel like a explosive type player where i rely a lot of my energy. A lot of running and getting in behind and distance covered different. Things like that And so sometimes when when you know your body lets you down You know it's extremely frustrating. But at the same time my body. I gave me a sign a warning sign to let me know. Hey you know you might need a. You might relax a little for now so You know that's kind of those kind of the way i took it but Like i said. I'm definitely i'm definitely grateful to to not have a habit significant injury in you know. Be ready to contribute. As soon as i cam. Hopefully you'll be back in there soon. If not the quarter-finals the semi or the final movie. max Okay perfect now. Before we get to d c united and Questions on your adventure in wales Let's let's stick with the national team for a little bit so you just beat canada one zero. I should say we can't because the united states. I've even be canada one zero and one the group so You know three wins out of three. What was the mood. Like in the locker room after the game against canada was it more. Was it excitement where people guys happy to run the group and looking forward to the knockouts or was there. You know some frustration that perhaps the performance and especially maybe. The scoreline wasn't as impressive as perhaps people were expecting coming in. Yeah i'll tell you one hundred percent The attitude was was excitement. knowing that we didn't play necessarily the way that we wanted to play. And maybe not not the way the fans want you to play But i'll tell you. What i you know i i think we all understand it here and even the younger guys at this is their first. This is their first time at the international level is the first time at a at an international tournament. You'll take you'll take the winds as they come in. Our first objective was to win the group that was number one when we when we came in and we sat down and we talked about okay. What's important for for this team to be successful. Number one thing was when the group And the bottom line is it doesn't matter how you do it. It's that you do you know so. Yeah i think could we have made it a little bit easier You know winning the group if we would've had an extra goal against Martinique or maybe not concede a penalty absolutely But those are kind of things that we grow as a group you know. I think a lot of us understand is very young group It's a group with not too much experience. I think it's pretty well-balanced group And yet i think we all know we didn't play you know how we wanted to But at the end of the day it's against a team that that is you know rising up and and you know. Obviously canada thinks that they are Similar to us. There's this growing rivalry that we've that that we've built over over the past couple of years so for us at the end of the day. It's it's one of your rivals. It was a huge game is a real test for us And also like i said when the group three different formations. Three different games It two shutout shouts and you know given up. One penalty kicks so You know the goal is obviously continue to get stronger and and work towards work towards the finals. Which is now. This is the fun part of of the tournament. It's the knockout stage where you know every single every single play matters. And that's where you wanna be if you're if you're a professional athlete would berhalter His post-game speech What did he say he said. Obviously you know number one is that you know we had to win the group Into when you talk about being Relentless that's one of our. That's one of our big word words that we use to describe ourselves and and when we think about how can team be successful. One of the one of the main words is being relentless and being relentless for us i thought. That's that's what we did You know when our back is up against the wall when you're protecting the lead You know when you're defending with everything in the and in canada throwing everything forward You gotta be relentless. You've got to be well. You've got to be willing to do anything it takes to to keep the clean sheet and win the game And so you know he was. He was happy with that. We're we're super super excited about that and obviously Like i said again you know our main our first objective which was winning the group was was done and now we can move forward We have a week week to kind of prepare for for whoever's are So at training or not necessarily just at training but at training and in the games I've been there for both Unlike a lot of people like me keyboard warriors who just gets the you know the game kiva. Listen i'm the as a big old keyboard. Warriors there is out there Big big twitter muscles over here. That's big muscled off twitter Who's impressed you the most at this a note this trade at this camp. Yeah that's that's that's a good question. I think there's been multiple players man You know i. I really really liked james sands Jimbo we're trying to call them. Just still below. Bill love their jimbo. He's he's been he's been impressive. He's been great You know The communist that he shows. And i'm sure fan saw as well on the games. The communist study shows the combativeness the the understanding the game. Extremely smart.

"To add on the topic right although then It's terrible terrible. Just everything about it is terrible. There's no good silver linings from this type of thing. The twitter twitter people are going absolutely wild with this like his name. Guilty is being used in the flexed in in various ways and means that there are so many jokes out there that if it turns out to be not true of course it's easy to just delete a tweet but imagine what that would do does rep. So i really don't have anything else to add. Just a just a wild wild updates for whatever. It's nothing that through for move onto some actual stuff so us men's national team big week relatively speaking anyway. We had two games since last night and is have chatted we had martinique who we be pants off of sixty one and then we played canada. Be canada one zero. Not much to say about the martinique game. I mean like darrell decay. Just absolutely manam little boys they in that game anything else. Stand out from that. Game quickly. shouldn't concede the goal to martinique. But that that's a good point. Kellen emmy first of all that. That penalty was so weak. But at the same time kellyn kosta has to be smarter became. Put your hands anywhere near a guy in the box like that and he just absolutely fell over else but mean as somebody who had The over three and a half in. Us to i think two and a half I was a little nervous when he gave away the penalty. But no problem seven five one at that point right was it. I think yeah owed support with a three one two if to whatever my mask bills are not talk goal. The second one was that the one that bounced around the box. Dj sorta headed towards the goal. And the guy like basically put it in the net himself. That was very where it was. It was decays gold. And they said no goal or own-goal. They awarded it to decay. Because they were like you know what we might as well give it to. I mean basically grabbed the ball. Put it that he had to be over to the decay that was questionable at best but good for him But let's move on to canada. Where the the decay love. May it may take it a little bit. The decay hype train gotten Off the tracks just a little bit so we only beat canada. One zero performance itself was was not great the first twenty to twenty five minutes Especially i twenty seconds. I should say were a very good sir. Shack moore scored. I think twenty seconds in the game which is just like earliest goal. we probably haven't scored but from there I guess you could say the first twenty to twenty five minutes. Were pretty good from there. Things went downhill badly. Like connec sixty five minutes candidate is the better team on the field End you know we were just. We're being battered around by by canada. Which is not fence. The candidate but like we're better the canada even team. That's out there right now. we should. They don't have elephants davies. They don't have jonathan david like there's no reason that we should not be doing to them what they were doing us for last sixty five minutes. What what stood out to you guys about that game whether it be from the starting eleven Technical changes in the midst in the middle of the game or know anything what stands out disorganization. It didn't look like we. That early goal. I mean slater might might have been too early right. But i don't know it. It didn't look like our back. Line was all that organized and we had a ton of trouble actually getting it up through midfield and into into the attack third We just little mistakes here and there. I don't think it's anything to worry about. But i think we need to be better against canada. Gutter is canada's definitely better than the last two games. And i think this is the first real test for this grew at the gold cup and just like the first nations league. Everyone was kinda. I don't know. I don't know hesitant about the us player. I think you come out with one zero and you learn. I think a lot of these guys learned a lot about themselves as a group. And that's what you want. I mean you said it's not the result that matters. It's the friends we made along the way exactly. That was my gunner. Second-grade was the orange slices than made a couple of friends. But no i. I i think then being tested against a i mean. Even you're saying without those two guys. It's still a decent and narrow the very solid emily. You know team so. I still think the next opponent. They play that Madore i know. I think either. Costa rica jamaica. Loser of the game tomorrow between jamaican costa rica. I think that's we play the another test to so i'm excited for that one So i think you touched on it mitch but we are midfield was overrun like for. Basically the last hour of the game That sort of bleeds into my last point which is going to be. Whose stock has risen and fallen. Or you know who who's impressed. You not impressed you just quickly on that wild. Some of the midfielders clearly did not have great games bushido a being among At the top list. Although i think he's talented shit he's going to be very player. Didn't have a great game. You actually didn't have a great game gets more me either but What stood out to me was like that. Burkhalter didn't make any changes seventy five minutes into the game when we were getting absolutely murdered in midfield for at least fifty minutes there at least forty minutes ago And he didn't make in changes. The changing made i think was in sixty i. Change made was in like the sixty. And that was reggie cannon infra shack more in the back which i mean i guess sh maybe. She's mike got tired or something. I don't know but the fact they didn't bring in Williamson or even a matthew hoppy. Cristian roldan finally came on I'd say he helped a little bit in the midfield. But like i don't know the fact that berhalter stuck with that that formation in that light of as long as he did was not good was questionable decision. I didn't like this artist. Decay top to start. I don't know what you know. Listen he sees them in practice so maybe he saw something that he thought the together. They'd be a good combination. I i wouldn't. I wouldn't have said it Going in in coming out a month definitely. Let's a good experiment that we don't need to guess The the decay in hoppy up top against martinique. I think only worked because we were playing martinique. Didn't work because it was a good tactical change it. Only it just work because we're playing martinique and trying it against canada Seemed like ill-advised ill-advised okay. Good words Yeah you know. I listen i get it. He's baltar is trying new things he's tried. I think he's used different formations in all three of the game. So far He's obviously done a lot of substituting in rotating players get it. i think that's okay I like i put out a tweet or instagram. Something about basically saying what Questioning this question right there and somebody on on instagram. saying like i'm a huge berhalter. Hater caper. Hold it off and defending him like often when people are you know instinctively just hating him because he's now molest geyer instinctively hitting him because his brother was on the essentially hiring committee or whatever. I've definitive i still think he's i think he's worth. He's deserves the job in. We'll see how he does in too early to judge him at this point but i think you can make criticisms of him invitation in the midst of what he's doing But i didn't like that. I didn't think broader had a great game..

"Up to speed. Get our sea legs under us Listen mean international tournaments. You come in. You have a week to practice with these guys. You know that you don't see that often if ever and then all of a sudden you're thrown in there may that's tough goes for these teams. Were planning to so. It's everybody's playing with the same ball on the same field anything but i just. I'm i'm glad that we play canada last because as you said backs i think canada's a legitimate at this point you want to play last resort exactly Now quickly You max made this recommendation released through this thought out there about combining copa and the gold cup. Tell us a little bit about that. When you give us the pitch for that. And i know people always talk about it and And i'd say it never could happen because there's too much money that the comex for copenhagen is too much money for the go cup making it at the for the goal the goal cup for conquer calf so I wouldn't bring it up as much. But when i saw the euro's and i'm like man. This feels like a world cup. This is getting bigger and bigger. Have like ten or eleven teams. That are credible portugal. Germany didn't make forensic make the quarterfinals. And you still had a functioning tournament with everybody knew everybody so that the european growth is so massive than not to mention the last world cup. And i think non-european teams will do well and cutter but when it was in russia was like six of the four semifinalists from europe. So when i saw that and obviously he was building up. And then i see the the real tough situation in south america and they can't even hold a tournament. Komo vote is out of control. It's not going to just flick a switch. They kinda need infrastructure. They need money they need. They need help in a lot of ways. The gold cups going to be great but they need personalities they need teams more than ever as well if they want to keep up with the european. So i think it's never been a better time where they go look. We can actually do something great here. If we combine forces bite the bullet we come off possibly make more money on the other end and then the gold cup. Whatever you call it gets brazil argentina columbia which is the big ones then uruguay chile etc. And then the the south americans get the the us infrastructure they play it there where it's easily manageable and the stadiums and the money the tv money which also includes mexico. Which is the biggest dog in north american. The second biggest dog in the americans. I think it's brazil then mexico and in the rest fall in line. But it's if. I think they have to start to look at it because they're gonna lose a lot of ground now because he's euros are just going to get bigger and we're gonna kinda get the scraps from the rest. But if we came together as an america's do it would be it could compete it certainly could if it was and i think in hold these tournaments at the beginning in. Us mexico where he can really have a problem. Which i know the south. America's won't like they'll get paid for this they'll get paid for their participation. And i guess enclosing to argentine is a big time but when messy goes. I don't know if they're going to be as marketable. And maybe they get a new messy but they're not going to be as marketable that's why brazil mexico and the us it. I think are the big three interesting that you gotta call the super copa americas like geico com or. I said tournament tournament of the americas. Which anna now but something like that was going off the super cub's everybody shed on in england. Where in europe with the bringing together the different leagues is chateau word. I don't know that is edging. I think i think gary lineker shed on the field years ago. If i'm not mistaken guy gary Show if you guys are boys now love anybody who can roll with the punches when you make fun of him for taking shit on the field. I love that guy. Anything else mitch. Tommy you got any Skep- what he thinks on board with that idea. Wanna show to the meetings. We're going to run it. we're gonna do it. I think there's a finite amount of time when messy will be marketable in the united states. And i think it's stupid not to take advantage of that if you can sell a tournament in which like you said the big four are competing and you know is at the height of his game. Name is at the height of his game. Who'll six of his game Those are such big markets that it's hard to ignore. And i think that's such a such a dramatic change that is needed like you said they need infrastructure accountable and we need more casual fans and what's better to get casual fans in the best player in the world. So i'm on board on your on the board. I'm on board for this too. I think i've been to a couple of games where it's like. Us mexico or us argentina's a fan in giants stadium. And you just see the the crowd that those teams can pull and most of its four in argentina or or messy and for me. It's it's a no brainer to to try to do that in. Try to have it in the us or us slash mexico. I think this country specifically but the whole region would benefit a lot from that. I think we should buy it on that. In a millisecond playing devil's advocate. I think the biggest sticking points are going to be you know the powers that be vulnerable and kaka calf right because they because are making money already say he can make more money right by if you can convince them. The i bet they do. I mean i really i. i don't know fearful we should say we had. We had the scenario copa america in two thousand sixteen. Which was basically this. And you wanna mir that and I i was the most that was really exciting yet. All these parties. And but you never had a chance to grow from that. So and does it though for the martinique's of the world because they wouldn't be able to probably even qualify. Maybe you have a little qualifier. You call that the gold cup and then you have a couple of minutes. I think he'd probably take all ten south america teams but maybe the last four have to qualify something. But this is what the euro's deal with you know once in a while team. Slips in the faroe islands lichtenstein. I don't wanna hurt. they don't make it one. eighty okay. The northern maybe find a way where you get you get the minnow bracket and one of them slips in. I shouldn't throw another narrow ireland in san marino in the faroe islands. Like they're not play. Yeah no they're legit team. Okay i like it. I think we're all sold it. We just gotta get the the fat cats at caffeine coma ball on on board while dan. Max i like that idea. Resenting she's going to come in with the giant pizza box of money and build. This is what you get that overtime money mitch. If that bag for overtime we can make this happen. Overtime will be one of the founding sponsors. I like this move. We're moving in the right direction here. Okay let's row. Let's round this out with the best bets in goeas everybody's favorite a segment. We'll get to that in a minute. Let's go best bets. I i'll go first England italy under. I think it's going to be a terrible terrible Ugly i'm gonna say this from neutrals perspective a terrible ugly affair. it's gonna be taxable. it's gonna be you know. It's going to be slightly kaka cathy. I think italy has like just a little bit of calf in them when they want to. And i think it's going to be one zero england in the end. I'm going to go under. i think that's It's a lack and also saying that. Three two three two barber. Let's do this. But no i do think as we wanted to england So many go under in that game. Anybody else i got one emmy martinez with five plus saves nice. I'll hogan hollywood coming out for that to coming out of left field. He i think. I got this in the last episode where you texted me right before. We were going denmark to score in twenty minutes in the first one. Twenty minutes against england. Which i mean. That's a dark horse. Bet right there. Because england hadn't given up a single goal They took twenty nine minutes. So if you had said thirty minutes. I'm gonna be honest with you because it's on record I was gonna put thirty but it didn't feel like two out there too risky enough. Sounds like you know what screw i was. Actually thinking thirty two balls got a little too big just a little too. Big little bit is still good. That though still good bet max metro you has got one i against the us. Haiti like an alternate line of the us minus two and a half. My last. my last week's best bet did not go over well. I said argentina cover. They did not. But i like..

"Scared he goes. I'm gonna eat you alive. Which is a direct translation to spanish. And send you the second to another guy goes. Yeah get rid of that. Ball was a little bit flat like he was just riding full-time but then he said it till the very last second and made the say it was. It was pretty amazing where the spanish spanish challenge people like us. There's a translation video ankle subtitles. Now i think i did see. That's pretty cool. I'll have to look into this nice And then there was also the are all the argentina guys including messi who were basically Were they clowning. Year amina right on his dancing of why were they. What was so bad about as they hit. Why is that such a big thing they were they were really going in on him. They were but i think it was like the only thing that that was the one thing that you could point to so they might as well you know. What else are you gonna mock kind of thing but yes the videos. Apopka gomez in the room. I mean that's just three at its finest. They clearly was was a call. They took a tableau that when it happened when he hit a penalty. And we're gonna throw it back in his face and boy. Did they ever ways the entire team did including messy it was. I don't know what messy talked. Shit it just catches my eye because you know he's normally dislike you know buttoned up Just murder you on. The soccer fields hepatitis anyway. Oh quickly predictions. Anybody think argentina can do this tommy okay. I can go with the dream. Final to dream outcome. I would love nothing more than to see messy when I think his night ends in tears. Either way I hope they're happy tears and you think anything they can do. I do think that i'm team messy do too but i think and i think it's more like max do with martinez than messy i. Would i would add tommy if they're to do it and to make sure they do it. Mris ghana i mean because a lot of the big games. He's had he's done well and they always go. He couldn't finish here. I'm taking this renault doesn't work that way. I know they'll more pants. Don't play asset. He out good. Just keep it. Seize the moment if you get one. I know that we've talked a lot about brazil. Hoping does but i don't think he does. Your numbers okay. Well i think. I think he has a shot but i think brazil may just a little too much. They do have a ton of talent. But i was looking at. You know. i've been watching the last couple of games. Got a lot of talented. Like argentina has a lot of talent. I think i think i thought what did i say. It was. laois said he's he thought. Argentina or messy had more talent around him now than like he's iran before. I'm not sure i would disagree with. I mean they have a lot of talent there right now and they also have a team that's really built around him. These guys worked for him and was a great foiling. He makes any other guy upfront. Look good so. I think there's a there's something to be said about that so last thing i'll say on this game as scared as i am. Italy in england sucking. I think this is going to be awesome. I think these teams are gonna come out. There's not going to be fans in the stands. I don't think they're going to feel that pressure quite as much. I think they're gonna come out. I think it's going to be an awesome game to watch what he's doing. Mitch i i think this is going to be a far more fun game. So the casual fan because it's going to be more chances pagan it's gonna be a little more of an open game to go talk about like the talent around messy right now. I disagree with what alexis said. Because i don't i don't think he has a tremendous amount of talent around him and the way they've been playing him. Recently they have been dropping really deep and getting on the ball or real real early. I think for injured actually do anything in this final. He needs to come up with something special. not that that's rambled possibility. And it's irresponsible bet against messy I don't think he doesn't i. I like what tommy said about. Did you write that beforehand. That is night ends in two one way or another like tom. Rinaldi over there w normally manifested out of their. Tell me oldham okay. So we get to brazil's think max and mitchell both brazil tommy in the romantics bro. Federated tina i think he's going to be an awesome games. This is copa. America final on saturday and then we get the the euro finals on sunday. And that so that's on the afternoon and then sunday night now we'll talk about the third segment here. Us men's national team would get the gold cup up and running Look i i gotta say. I'm looking forward to the tournament. A few like a lot of people probably gonna like shit on that because aw it's all. Mls we're not gonna see police it when agassi mechanic and all that. Yeah i get it but these are the guys that are going to fill out the roster right. I mean we know the the best probably ten twelve guys a pretty sure. We know them. But you need to see this sort of second. layer That i'm excited to see who really steps up in this tournament because we got you know there's holes in the roster spots to be one Anybody anybody coming into the school cut. Matt's what's your sort of. What are you looking at. What are you looking. For a fair assessment to and maybe the united states gets a Plenty of pine site for doing this for the other countries are sending their big stars and not looking for that next group of guys that could help them made. Maybe that's the difference between the united states. Not only making a world cup and making a deep run when they get there. I'm on board with world. cup priorities. World cup qualifying olympics gold cup. Take a back seat. Although i think they'll do well here. It's built nicely for them. I i like how the tournaments drawn up. Usa has all their games in. Kansas city's so they can really ramp up Homefield advantage to there is The venues i'm gonna try and get out there for that final august i in vegas and Obviously some of the big stadiums like Jerry's world and all that involved and they're gonna be big mexico crowd so it's going to be a compelling tournament and i think the us is gonna do well with this group it's not. It's functional enough the big questions. They beat canada in the groups which is much improved beginning a lot of games. It's going to be tricky. But i think they should if they don't win it. I'm not going to sit here and scream at the heavens. I get it as you said samad said about getting to that Getting ready for september qualifiers and finding those guys that will play a significant role so just so people know. The games are sunday against haiti Than a few games or few days break till thursday we play martinique a small island somewhere in the in the ocean out there. I haven't even know where mar martinique sounds like a place. I really wanna go visit. It is a french. It's it's an extension of the french and the caribbean very small. So it's not even fee for recognized so they can't qualify for the world cup so this is as good as it gets for martinique. Oh boy well good for them for me. They got some. They got some vollers as some guys are probably could would've wanted to play for france that kind of slipped down there. Yeah okay. that's smart smart smart to grab them and then finally as you said canada. That's the big test in our group. We play canada on the following sunday. So june july eighteenth. And i'm glad we played candida in that third game. I'm glad that we can sort of get a few. You know practice in practice games but that was mean sorry eighty martinique..

"All right welcome. Back sam's army episode two point one. Oh seven we got lots to talk about euros. Recap of the semi-finals and of course preview of the finals to come on sunday some copa chatter. I forgot to say one word this time so i got three this time up for last week. You're looking up at your. So you're in the second place in the western conference. Pacific you guys are looking up at phoenix rising Have you had any any chatter about you. Guys may be getting into the one dollar beer a night game like feel like that's really what sets phoenix apart from the rest of probably the country. We have we do have a dollar beer night but are you saying we're playing them in a dollar beer game or do we have our own dollar bear game. You can make it up as you go. I was thinking about for the fans. But i can see where we come from with the players here. Maybe that that really say apart yet. That could we had one mid week. I want to say three or four weeks ago. And i've never seen a rowdier mid week. Crowd definitely worked. I don't know how everyone did it. Work the next day but they enjoyed that night for sure. Great i'm sure but yes this perfect. Bring that back. I gotta get to one of those one of those games. I've been hearing about it from for phoenix for a long time. So now iowa you guys orange county is gonna get in this game. I gotta i gotta get out there In addition to tommy we got the other. Tweedle mitchell goulet overtime mitch. Enjoying his last few weeks in paradise before moving back east to the concrete jungle so Mitch on your in your twitter. Twitter twitter tinder in your tinder game. Are you using this to your event like all baby. I only got like two weeks left in like you know getting the no strings attached dates. Or how you have to. You have to leverage that. And that's just kind of you know one one one one of the good parts too is that you get the girl that are like all manila for the weak link which we do. And i'm like oh i don't know i don't know the place all that. Well i'm leaving in a little bit too now. It's just not checkers out here. I promise so. Does that end up with you in her. Like looking at the stars in holding hands all night like you told us before. I i don't kiss intel because that's impolite but you know maybe okay and the last definitely not least. We got the g the og soccer. Oh gee max brito says you guys remember him. Well he's gracing us with his presence and his gravity gravitas up gravitas gravitas. Reseda max. Great to have you back how you doing do great. And i just want to re emphasize why the g i got married in two thousand nine and i never got to set up a tinder account so i have no idea what it's all about but basically everything i'm hearing suggests that i'm missing out in a big way. I'm sure i am. I'm sure i am. But hey at something. I'll have to take to my grave. So best of luck on your movement and best of luck on the playoffs tommy. Thank you i love it. I love it. Yeah this is how. I learn. Sort of get. What tenders all about is for mitch and mikey. When he's on and not not so much family at the moment sounds like he's i have winston and give a hard sell though. I've one of you match that. How long have you lived in. La for maybe two questions. Now how long and you still use the out. I'm not from here not area. Yeah i can pull as like a year and a half of it has been during this whole pandemic so yeah see i have. I have all my boxes checked. And i do have my favorite spots to go to but it's easier to play them smart. That is smart low if the bar is low expectations. It's hard to disappoint people sort of one of my mottos for life. So i like where you're going with that let's go on to To some soccer talk here so euros we are almost done. That's the that's sort of the the bad news because this tournament has been amazing of sort of spoken. It's praises for for weeks now. But we are done. With the semis. Were down to the final two teams the best two teams. Some might say some might say. That's not accurate But england and italy have survived. The soccer may be coming home. Or maybe to rome home or rome where it's going but Yeah let's start with italy. Spain so italy one one after extra-time in italy won on penalties. Let's start with. Max we'll be bringing you back here. What are what are your thoughts on this game. What stands out for for you from this final From the semi-final. From spain italy game it was a i thought the spanish had this game in for the first time you saw the italians really uncomfortable in a lot of ways and i think that's a testament to a spanish. We didn't really expect much from so that was a that was a pleasant surprise for me. I always argue with folks and be an older guy myself. It's a young man's game. You get the kids in there earlier and it pays off nine out of ten times not all the time but in the spanish situation it did with you. Guys i almo. They took a bit of a risk on and he was great. I mean he was running rampant in that game and then obviously Pay the roy. Saw some stat completed all hundred percent of his passes and he passes up the lot. It was very cool to see. Just the the striker situation in italy plays it right. Italy's played everything right in this tournament. It's it's pretty remarkable. How good they are. And i've gotten this one. Someone passes me on this twitter. Follow that the guy is an expert in penalty shootouts. His number one criteria if the team was in a shootout right before the numbers sixty five percent. They're gonna lose. So i kind of tweeted the same thing. And i've nailed it twice because the swiss lost an spain lost so i i give credit to italy forgetting to penalties and winning it and then play that game with Kill leany which was there is no. There is no pleasantries in that. That was all stage to help win the penalty out to be all nice to kill them with kindness. And then wack killing me in the house going to say if there was one i was. I i had money on. Spain's was completely unbiased in this situation. One your money. I felt that was one of those games where i felt like it hurts the most because spain or the underdog coming in. I thought they were. They were the better team coming in. They look like the better team out there. I thought they had the better chances..

"On today's show season three episode for the Endless Cup I'm going to be reading from chapter four of the Dow Dejduang and then commenting on it after that we will have a short break and afterwards I will talk personally about some of my life experiences coming up on your favorite podcast show cup of Dow starting right now. You're listening to a COUPLA. Dow with your host Chris. L. Mcleish Chris's a man with many roles many juries in one spirit hello. How are you today. Eh I am well like you caught up in sometimes the day to day stuff that I guess we all lose track because the important thing sometimes in life because we get caught up in things but anyway let's dive into today's topic about the Endless Cup this time I will be doing reading from Chapter Four. I'm going to be using the Derek Lin. Nineteen Ninety four translation of the dowd aging chapter four the Dow is empty utilize. It does not filled up so deep. It seems to be the source of all things it blunts. The sharpness unravels the nights dims. The glare mixes the dust so indistinct it seems to exist. I do not know whose offspring it is. It's image is the predecessor of God so so in this chapter. We learned that the Dow is an endless cup a source of all things. This is the theme that will be repeated over the next few chapters. The Dow is not just the source it has active influencing things intervenes and regulates. Where did it come from. We don't know who made the Dow or why it exist is older than any source or I cause that we can can imagine way before humans way before Earth. It's ancient we and everything that we have done will someday someday be dust. The Dow will always be as it is the endless source of all that there is. It's truly that bottomless a cup of soup. We can only scratch the surface chains of interconnections things like mice helium networks physical laws and all our theories only scratched the surface of an incomprehensible force that we are all part of those who are nihilist would say it's offer nothing that our lives are meaningless but do we know that for sure. Could it be that we're part of something larger than ourselves. Everything's connected. Live your life like it really matters because it just may I'm going to take a short break. "On today's show season. Two episode twelve review today, I'm gonna go over some key points that I hope you have obtained from the podcast in the past two years. This episode will wrap up season two and then I plan on taking a break and then coming back for season three in the near future. So please a subscribed. Are you ready for the show? Okay. Let's start your favorite podcast show Cup of Dow beginning right now. Coupla Dow with your host El McLeish Chris's, a man with many roles many journeys and one spirit. Hello. How you doing today? I hope you're doing great. Today, I wanted to review of season one and season to some of the key points that I hope you have obtained from the podcast if this is your first time ever hearing, the podcast, I would encourage you to go back and listen to previous episodes, I because I don't want you to substitute this brief review for basically the meat of some of the things that we've talked about. And if you have heard the show for the past two years, you might want to go back and listen to some of the episodes to kinda get familiar with some of the concepts that I present here, especially in the first season. So let me go ahead and dive on into some of the key points that I hope you've obtained. The first one. If you wanna get rid of something expanded, we often go against the grain and fight things like stress the key point here. Is that the more we try to get rid of something? Sometimes it has the opposite effect of it strengthens it. So in the case of stress and anxiety. See it as for what it is it is a warning system in your body. Maybe visualize it don't allow it to be bigger than you. You might try instead of fighting it and pushing against it to say okay, you're there bring on your best, baby. Hit me with what you on. You're not going to defeat me. Point number two. We engage in what I call the ace agenda of widens control in scape. We try to avoid uncomfortable circumstances. We try to change things that we can't. And we use a scape strategies that are often more destructive than facing our fears. Some of these include overworking, drinking drugging oversleeping, obsessing not going to places because we're afraid to that cetera. So did defeat this. Sometimes we have to step outside of our comfort zone. We have to do things that are different than what our brain is telling us to do in order to get better. Point three. Learn about mindfulness. Practice. Would I call the four L's look what is the situation? Listen. What is your mind telling you about the situation notice your mental interpretations label put it a scripture for what your mind is doing? Just the thoughts that catastrophes ING recognize that these are just products of your mind and finally, let it be recognized what you can't change in what you can change about your situation, and you must let go of what can't be changed just because you have a thought is it mean that you have to get rid of it, but it also doesn't mean that you have to believe it fully remember, sometimes we can ask our mind. What are you telling me, this is just a thought? Okay. Now in cognitive therapy, they would say to collect evidence for the thought in evidence against the thought. But the problem I have with that is we're good at collecting evidence for thoughts. And if we collect it from another person, they might be biased. For example, if I thought somebody had been treating me like a jerk, and I asked my wife for her input on that thought she might agree. And it's not that we're saying, oh, well, it's just thought it's no big deal. It's more that we're trying to learn to separate ourselves from our thoughts, because if you allow your mind it will really control. You thoughts. So it's good to be able to kinda step back a little bit in realize how damaging our thoughts can be to us. They can really cause us to feel horrible. And even if the thought is true, let's do a healthy action and remember, just because thought is true doesn't make it healthy. The fourth point is, we need to enjoy what we have in front of us even in the roughest of situations where you must deal with the hand of cards that you are given try to look for that one strawberry. That's hidden in the mud. My fifth point is that fake it till you make it is not always a bad saying go outside your comfort zone. Because that's when growth will occur. Take some

"Onto the show season. Two episode eleven I discussed the concept of synchronicity, and I touch a bit upon reincarnation for the question of today. I answer about explaining to others. What Taoism offers in how it's unique coming up on your favorite podcast show Cup of Dow starting right now. Coupla Dow with your host, Chris L, McLeish Chris's a man with many roles, many journeys and one spirit. Hello, everybody. How're you doing? I've been dealing with sinus issues and infection in generally, not feeling. Well, so I hope you're doing a lot better than I've been doing. Thank you for joining me today. I would imagine I never will be able to answer a question on my mind as to what happens after death. So is death the end. What did layouts who have to say about this? Well way out to said, we return to the source, but that can mean many things that can mean we return to diced, or it could be as cool as our consciousness returning to some sort of cosmic consciousness of unity. I think as humans we really feel like were unique in that were special, and we feel like we have to continue on in some kind of way. Now this episode might be uncomfortable for you. I'm going to challenge you a little bit regardless of your beliefs that might be a little bit uncomfortable Lissa POS. We lived a hundred years on this earth. That seems like a long time. Right. But when you think about it compared to a turnkey hundred years compared to an infinite amount of time is like almost nothing. So people would say we live here. So we can gain lessons to use in an afterlife that last print turn ity. Most people don't live hundred years. But even if they did it just seems like a small amount of time compared to Infinity. The other aspect is some people say that God would judge us during this time? So based on our actions. We may end up in paradise or we may end up being eternally damned based on a few actions during the small amount of time. Our whole Infinity would be decided. It just doesn't make a lot of sense. Does it? Other people would say well, look at evidence of reincarnation, and I've looked at a lot of evidence. There's a lot of evidence out there. But interestingly enough, you can find evidence of ghost spirits, you can find evidence of people seeing things when they die. You can find evidence of you photos Bigfoot, you can find evidence of almost anything if you look for it. But there is some compelling evidence about reincarnation lists examine that for a little bit. So in each life, you learn spiritual lessons. To what purpose that serve. So that you have actually gained what they would call Sam Sahra you become enlightened in your at a state where you never have to return. Based on each of these lives. But in each life. You don't remember the past life, or at least most of the stone, right? So we gain these spiritual lessons and we've learned. To what purpose does that serve? Witness cosmic consciousness already have all the knowledge it needs. Or do we stay unique? If we stayed unique, and we have all our knowledge of what we did wrong, or what's right or that life is love God is love. So we gain that then what to what purpose to set serve? Some people would say well shows. This being is constantly evolving. Now, that's an interesting thought. So instead of this being or God or cosmic consciousness if it's not a single being if it's a collection if it's constantly evolving. Then it would mean it didn't start out being perfect, right? It has to evolve installer lessons. But then you'd ask for what purpose would that serve NATs possible that we don't know the purpose is that what you're thinking kind of the answer is beyond us in. You're right about that. It's just all interesting. When you think about it? It doesn't make sense. Of course. Then again, it doesn't make sense why we are here on this planet. Our odds of being born are pretty low. And survivals not a guarantee, and when we do survive like I said, we don't live very long in the scheme of things. So let's say that we reach the state Osam Sahra or that we go onto heaven because we've been such great people, then we're in paradise forever. Right. We're happy. We have no jealousy. No anger. We just see people. We'd love and we're just happy for a turn ity and eternity in eternity. No competition. No need for any kind of suffering whatsoever. How are we different than the tree or plant then or Iraq for that matter repeatable zombie? So we continue on forever because the creator loves us. Or is it more that we feel like we're so special that we have to continue on. We can't stand. The thought of us not existing. Or is it that we serve some greater purpose that we don't understand. We're like a cell in the body. But yet if you lose a cell in your body, there's many more just like it, right? Now, we're so unique that were special. Yes, I'm being a little sarcastic there. But I'm doing this to challenge you a little bit. What makes us so important over say squirrels? What if you thought about squirrels living forever or going to heaven for that matter? Now, I have heard theories that I like. Like what if the universe constantly recreates it self over and over again? Not this far away from us. But. Given an infinite amount of time. What if the universe constantly redoes itself? What if these multi versus intersected sometimes that's why we can remember pass lives. Maybe sometimes that's why we get glimpses of things like ghost are people within Vance technology. You have those.

"But it wasn't really until World Cup nineteen ninety eight that I full on got back into it. The French road French World Cup team in ninety eight. I am such dude. Boehner those guys are fully cop to it. And the second they'll subsequently I got interview Kyrie on once and tells him that that ninety team was, you know, my favorite of all time is still like pretty auspicious honor. And and for me, the ninety eight games were so cool because of the results because of who played in them like in people. Don't even think about, you know, brought g stew or hundred on Crespo's like me think of Argentina now. Right. Like, the only needs you think about her messy could grow mosh Dorado. No one's really unit consult, he like doing talking about these great names, you know, for me being fan of the World Cup ninety eight and then getting to play on a squad with documents, Seedorf stamp and Bandra sort. It doesn't make sense. Thing that to in my life where we should. I mean, Oh, but. but. And while you literally living my dream as I said. Tyrian retu- because he is honestly one of the players that I enjoy watching. You know, I used to enjoy watching more than any of them. He's an arsenal guy. I'm huge Tottenham fan. You're a huge Tottenham fan as well. How'd you get into Tottenham? All you Spurs. Yeah. You know, I in. So it's still funny. Because naturally when you're a fan of any Premier League team, you're gonna take a profound about a profound amount of abuse from opposition teams yet I have gotten more scathing indictments from fellow quote, unquote, fellow Tottenham van anyone else because you know, when I sort of I declared does, you know, my my sound guy was saying out of sitting when it's so tribal declare for any any team don't like. You know, don't like, you know. Like publicly put out affiliation. Because you're Elliott whole sections of your fan drills. And I he's probably right. But then I thought those little bit of like a bitch main move like I'm bleeding for like step off the Mike have a dog in the fight. So I knew I didn't want to do one of the forbid clubs, which when I started a city really wasn't in the conversation was United Liverpool Chelsea or arsenal. And I just didn't wanna do that. And so I remember I put out kind of a call to arms through my Twitter feed. I asked my fans long after the the show started breaking through in England. Someone had sent to me said please recommend the team. Like, what do you think is sport? And everyone had all these different reasons and someone random sent me a hundred greatest goals at the lane. So I was watching, you know, gas coins beautiful penalty and arsenal the north London. Divy, you know, our deal and Hoddle beautiful link-up play that they have Ricky villa? The FA Cup finals, you know, just amazing amazing goals by Jemaine Defoe. Probably chango Dimitar Berbatov older goals by Jimmy Greaves by a Juneau. Just incredible men. So's really falling in love with that. And then I had gone to England for very first press junket, and that's when I saw Gareth bale rag, Mike, turn up and down the thirty. During a game against injuring just make him as bitch. And I was like, oh my God Gareth bale baby. Then their head. And by the way, if he does this podcast garrison. I don't want to have. I mean, I I'll be honest. Yeah. Especially if the Champions League final flavorful today. But I so I was really passionate about that. And I'm very proud of Jewish identity..

"Arsenal. Arsenals like we have one centreback what he wanted to buy a creative attacking midfielder from Barcelona on lives on fantastic love it last. Well, the only other EPL team to lose was Liverpool of all teams the same strategy to wolves. Yeah. I tweeted immediately after you know, you never wanna lose a game. But like in the grand scheme of things that's not a bad loss for liberal. Not. If you're going to lose in the Cup loser. -ly they've got a ton of games coming up with with Champions League. And obviously they've got designs on the champagne on the title. So there could be worse losses. And I think the lesson from that game. They lost at wolves to one was that is that if you put out a b side against wolves. You can get beat. Yes. That's just what happens, you know. Big. Yeah. They've just shown what what you can do with, you know, belief desire and lots and lots and lots of Chinese money and a lot of Portuguese band. Well, that's what the Chinese by money. Last game. I had written down other than the big boys. All other than liberal, the big boys. All sorta trounced teams Tottenham city one seven zero or someone three zero United one two zero. So that's a whole lot of goals. And a lot of goal scored against the the one. I wanted to call out real quick though. Everton struggled mightily to beat something called Lincoln city. That's just not a good look forever to the local Nebraska maple club. Something just ain't right at Goodison. Just ain't right? Some smells bad. So that's FA Cup. The the next round has been drawn one that really stands out was arsenal. Hosting Manchester United. That'll be very upset. Very big one. That's very. Yeah. Yeah. But it's cool for I'm for it should be. Versus six so that is at the end of January. I think those games are taking place, which is right here. Which is what like right around the his. So we will will move on. Then will so before we get to the mid week preview. And there's only two games. So we won't really that whole lot preview. We will we got sort of a special segment here, we got let's start with our respective best elevens we haven't shared it with each other at this point. Now, we have I'm sure we're gonna argue quite a bit on some of these. Now. So let's start with goalkeeper. Do you wanna go first you want me to go? I wanna hear your formation versed on just keeping it. Simple going for two. Okay. I did it for three three like that. And I have wingers. So you let's hear yours. Ours. Wanna run through your whole thing or do you want? How do this? Let's do goalkeepers than defend, you know. We'll both by the new defenders than do midfielders. Do strikers. How about that? Go go on my one I'll start at goalkeeper Ugo for nevermind Ugo. I gotta Anderson. I got Neil after I I actually thought I actually knew that you were going to do that. I don't I don't mind it. He's he's stopped lot of penalties. And he's basically got things still be the most impressive keeper first half of the year and be bad and being a bad side. Yeah. A lot of people obviously are going to want Alison to be the the goalkeeper your I I'm sticking with my what I've been saying long..

"All right guys saves or episode forty two welcome back. It is it's one of those unorthodox weeks. I guess we'll call it. We don't really have any legit EP L games to talk about or preview, but we do have other ships. Get a Cup reviews. We got make believe Cup previews. We got some special segments here with source of mid week care midseason. Let's let's call him a wards. But before we get to all that number one. Mikey follower. How're you doing Mike? Welcome back. I'm doing very well excited. I did a lot of preference. I got my eleven I got my Ward's. I got my surprises ready. Boy were we actually did a little prepping. This is going to be a special. This is a fun one. I'm really excited for this. So like you said, we don't have EPL games just regular EPL gains. What we do have FA Cup. Let's let's start there. So this weekend. This is the first round of ethical games were all the teams are in there. There wasn't a you know, sort of huge upset it's not like, you know, Manchester United loss to Newport city. The worst upsets in fact, you called one of them Akron Accoring in Stanley, the Chad of English soccer will call them pull out the one zero win over Ipswich. There were some EPL clubs that went down. So Huddersfield full whom and Cardiff all lost interesting, which is very interesting because these are three relegation contenders. Not saying there's like a conspiracy, you know going on here. Just going to connect some dots. The game obviously long chef for these clubs to ever win. You know that Cup given the the the big the big boys that are there swinging their balls around in it's still so that saying they took dives to focus on the league. But I mean, three of them all lose on the first FA Cup. You know game. This just it smells like they took a dive, which honestly, I don't even blame them. I mean, I'd ING is way more important way. More important way, more important. Yeah, it's interesting that those three teams chose to go out, actually. Yeah. Very very interesting. You may use the right words that chose to go. Yep. There are some other EPL losses. So Lester lost you officially killed Lester, you breathe back into their low than than you absently killed them by getting on their band. Anybody can Venema me fifty dollars. And then tell me something that they want me to wish the opposite for it to happen. And it's a shoe. I'm gonna start a side business. I have actual superpowers that have just now becoming aware of if you want me to do anything feel like I should be putting this power to good. So let me wish something upon you in the opposite will happen just send me semi attacks. Tweet little side gig. You got you got Bruin there? I mean that was unbelievable. I just was giving out sniffers and I gave out Lester twenty five to one boom. Just like that lead to Newport county. Ex-? Unbelievable. Get your shit together. Fox's I carry losses for the club's borne Muth lost Brighton. So it's not a huge upset, but man cherries defense. You guys are just fucking clone show. But I will say they made some moves again the Klein in the transfer window on loan from Liverpool. I love that mov-. I've always been sort of fan of client. How didn't catch on more with Liverpool? I think it goes to show just how good guys like Trenton Alexander Arnold have really burst onto the scene and basically sidelined him. But I think that the client is a good player. So I think I think that's a good move for more. I'm upset he slipped through arsenal. I don't know why we didn't give a look we're not going to happy about that either. I mean, he flipped as one of my that was one of the highlights of my year so far Neil. We're not just going beserk going ape shit. Like he thought he was going to get like a booty call from Thana climb. And you know. You call somebody else. I mean client claims rate had a whole lot to do with the the twenty million paid for selling key. I mean, it was it was funny that you know, defense is just a total clown show, and they spent twenty million dollars on an exciting. But yet unproven strikers striker Timet born of what are you?.
