"I love. Mum's Mum's <Speech_Music_Male> is our main supplier <Speech_Male> but obviously in <Speech_Music_Male> Canada <Speech_Telephony_Male> <Speech_Telephony_Male> I actually talked <Speech_Male> with Tom. Stern's <Speech_Male> last summer Roseana <Speech_Male> refi <Speech_Male> mowing seeds <Speech_Male> and they seem to be doing <Speech_Telephony_Male> a really good job <Speech_Male> of becoming <Speech_Telephony_Male> more of a of a <Speech_Male> of a Mike. <Speech_Male> Breen seat supplier <Speech_Male> not only <Speech_Telephony_Male> in carrying lots of a <Speech_Telephony_Male> good quality varieties <Speech_Telephony_Male> from doing their <Speech_Male> pathogen testing <Speech_Male> as well <Speech_Male> so <Speech_Male> in terms of going <Speech_Male> back to that conversation <Speech_Male> of <Speech_Male> of creating <Speech_Telephony_Male> relationships ships <Speech_Male> was the <Speech_Male> seed companies. <SpeakerChange> <Speech_Telephony_Male> High Mowing is <Speech_Music_Male> a really great <Speech_Male> company to do that <Speech_Male> with and <Speech_Male> this actually goes back <Speech_Telephony_Male> a couple podcasts <Speech_Music_Male> ago Diego when <Speech_Male> we focused on seed need <Speech_Male> high mowing <Speech_Male> great company because <Speech_Male> they've always been <Speech_Music_Male> an organic seed <Speech_Male> company and <Speech_Telephony_Male> organic <Speech_Male> still very <Speech_Music_Male> very small <Speech_Music_Male> niche in in. What's <Speech_Telephony_Male> a growing <Speech_Male> industry? The organic industry <Speech_Male> which is <Speech_Male> still very dependent <Speech_Male> to degree on <Speech_Male> conventional seed <Speech_Male> and <Speech_Telephony_Male> high mowing <Speech_Male> the company. That actually <Speech_Male> works directly with the <Speech_Male> seed growers <Speech_Male> in many cases <Speech_Male> to produce their own <Speech_Male> seed instead of buying <Speech_Male> everything on the <Speech_Male> commodity market. <Speech_Music_Male> So <Speech_Telephony_Male> they're they're <Speech_Telephony_Male> a great relationship <Speech_Male> building the <Speech_Telephony_Male> company. There's a great <Speech_Telephony_Male> opportunity there <Speech_Telephony_Male> so I'd <Speech_Telephony_Male> really. I'd really <Speech_Telephony_Male> recommend like trying <Speech_Telephony_Male> to find a coup. What <Speech_Male> a lot? But <Speech_Music_Male> this grower <Speech_Telephony_Male> growing in a greenhouse <Speech_Male> <Speech_Telephony_Male> You know in Florida <Speech_Telephony_Male> is having another issue <Speech_Male> so it gives them <Speech_Male> a sense of how different <Speech_Male> seed performs <Speech_Male> in different systems <Speech_Male> and the way they do <Speech_Male> that is from feedback <Speech_Male> from growers <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> excited to <Speech_Music_Male> Sadler Finger. <Speech_Music_Male> Real <Speech_Telephony_Male> relationship <Speech_Music_Male> with is my sify. <Speech_Male> Here's it's <Speech_Male> something that I've been <Speech_Male> Why's <Speech_Telephony_Male> just I haven't <Speech_Telephony_Male> had really the time <Speech_Music_Male> or <Speech_Telephony_Male> predictor to do it <Speech_Music_Male> because <Speech_Music_Male> we were swamped is <Speech_Music_Male> just starting <Speech_Music_Male> the business that Nice? "Fifty. Cuneo to keep track of all those different kinds of just heard super eight film. And I thought oh my gosh. It's a blast from the past. All right. Well, we finally have an answer we think at least two why Megan Kelly wanted Ronan Farrow in the room, she negotiated her exit terms at NBC. This is the Colleen and Bradley show. Mytalk one zero seven one streaming live at mytalk one zero seven one dot com. Everything entertainment. Colleen lindstrom. Bradley trainer. And bradley. Why is it? Well, I think it's what we always thought. So I brought this story. I think earlier this week and said why why are we talking about having Ronan Farrow in the room? Why does Megan Kelly want Ronan Farrow, a pharaoh in the room when you're actually was at the end of last week. Right. And I'm gonna sneeze. So. Okay. So what we had heard was that Meghan Kelly's lawyer had sort of leaked to the press that Ronan Farrow was requested in the negotiations when they were talking about this sixty nine million dollar figure that. That Megan Kelly was requesting from NBC contractually as as the terminated her employment. And we thought well, what does Ronan Farrow have to do with it, and you were basically saying Ronan Farrow, there was news to him. I mean, the only reason we could think of Ronan Farrow being in the room because he likes to talk about the metoo movement. And maybe Megan Kelly has some things to say about the metoo movement in the context of NBC, well headline and Megan Kelly to NBC always at my lips for ten million dollars. Kelly tells NBC this is according to TMZ today that she will not spill whatever beans she has on the network and the people who work there. For the hefty price. Ten million dollars? Actually, it went from ten million all the way up to. A lot more sources familiar with the negotiations. Tell it TMZ NBC offered her thirty eight million dollars, which apparently represents the balance owner contract. So what this says to me is that she was playing hardball, perhaps insinuating that she had stories to tell and or at least, even if she didn't have stories to tell insinuating that that was something she could at some point, do, wink, wink, nudge, nudge, NBC, you'd better give me what I want because I might just get to write a book all about the things I saw when I was over here at NBC just like, I did wait. Oh, where at FOX, Fox News. Right. Okay. So you okay. Okay. Because I have a couple of things I'm thinking about it at the same time number one. Do you think that there's a possibility that she could be bluffing and using that as a bargaining chip? Okay. Because if she was bluffing then. Okay, fine. But if she's not bluffing, and she actually has information, then I'm I'm irritated by that. Well, would he be surprised in the least though? No. But what bothers me about that is like I just don't think in two thousand eighteen we need to hear that people can be bought to be quiet. Right. Because that is part of the problem that is the system that has been set up is that people have been bought to be quiet for years. And let's just be real. I don't think Megan is saying that I don't think our people are saying that I don't think our attorneys are saying that overtly to NBC, right? I don't think that's what's actually TMZ is just sort of boiling it all down. But in addition to the thirty million. She's saying, hey, if you want me to sign a confidentiality agreement you're going to have to add some figures, so all of this. And again, I just go back to the reason that she mentioned Ronan Farrow, the only thing that makes sense to me is that she wanted them to think that she had something potentially to share. Right. Maybe I mean to your point could be total bluff if it is. Of course. It's gross. Right. But I feel like when you're talking about tens of millions of dollars people get kinda gross because all of a sudden they're sitting in a room with their high powered attorney, and there are people who are all on team you because they see dollar signs, and they're, you know, they're concocting these things in a way that seems completely plausible and acceptable to them from a cynical take care of me point of view. But you know, I don't think Megan Kelly sitting there contemplating what's best for the metoo movement when she's negotiating or exited NBC and yet at the same time like, you know, I don't know. I it's it's hard for me. I also see it from the perspective of like good on her for knowing her worse, or for understanding that you know, she has some power in this situation and going into NBC and saying. Yeah. You know, like, I know what I'm worth. And I I if you want me to be quiet if you want me to not take you down. He's I know things 'cause I've worked in this building. And I've seen how this operates. And I've watched how everybody talks to each other. And I've seen well and you'll run into the inner workings of this place. If you want me to be quiet about it. You're gonna have to pay for that. Then remember in context, she was encouraging investigation at NBC back when Ronin pharaohs allegations about his piece. Yes. Being killed at NBC were made public, right? So she was very outspoken. Toward NBC. So more shall be revealed. I just think this these are the dots that I would connect especially when I saw like, oh sure you want me to not talk about things. Well, it's gonna cost. You can. I also just say, I think that's gross. And here's why what I'm saying is gross is confidentiality agreements. I understand. Why businesses want you to sign those things? But have we learned nothing over the last couple of years? Well, it's not even Ben couple years. When did this all start last like right around? Now exactly a year ago right around October November. So if we've learned nothing else, it's that confidentiality agreements. And what else are they called nondisclosure agreements and us? Yeah. Those are are ways for perpetrators to protect themselves or institutions who shielded perpetrators from many use a word. That's just gonna make me sound a little unhinged. Justice, you know, like people that shield others from their do. You know, they're do. Yeah. That's gross. And so I just think that like in this day and age like, I know people are like, well, okay. I know that sounds I don't care. It's just it's sad that Megan Kelly can have her silence bought for ten million dollars. Don't think that's anything unusual to her. No. And I fully agree with you. And yet at the same time again kudos to her for knowing the system within which she works and working at to get someone who is going to say, I'm not gonna do that. Because I'm not gonna I'm not saying she's protecting anybody or any wrongdoing. But if you were at some point somebody has to say like, yeah, I'm not doing that anymore. I'm not I'm a Meghan Kelly, and I'm not and I'm not expecting Megan Kelly to do something. But somebody has to say, I'm gonna come work for you. But I'm not gonna lie for you. Yeah. I mean, yes, I would love for somebody to do that. I would love for somebody to be the person who says I'm not going to be my silence. Won't be bought. And in fact, I won't take your money. And I'm gonna go talk. You know, not gonna have any kind of boring. Evidentiary not necessarily gonna talk. But you're you're gonna know that I am going to tell you if somebody asks I'm gonna tell them what I saw or maybe.

"Wait lower than anybody else in the world and y'all piston moan if the price of food goes up so if we if we actually eliminated agricultural subsidies i got news for everybody you'd have to work five jobs to features often you would not be able to buy the next edition of but i want the iphone well that who has to make a decision what do you want do you want inexpensive food or do you want really food that also fortune it is a conundrum that's one thing i really thought into my brain the food in this country is very very cheap and there's something almost kafka ask us out complaining about that because if food wasn't as chief we'd all be complaining and the only reason we can complain about our socalled food system is because we're so affluent and we don't have to worry about food the world are not in a position to pitch about their food system there they're just not state you know food is free pricey i think my biggest complain about the food critics the people who say are food system is broken is that man you have got way too much time on your hands and you should find some worthwhile way to spend your energy it's kind of maddening if you really dig into what makes the food system tech kind of maddening to listen to people who don't know a thing about it plain about it once in your book as it seems like that kind of complaint has existed forever you you draw out of parallels between meat prices being sort of like gas prices have been the last few decades where people freak out if the gap price of gas goes up and then they stop thinking about it it goes back down uh it sounds like all generations have been angry about the cost of beef that's the point i made right at the beginning about entitlement and that's how i opened the book in the cuneo period.
