"C. suppose accommodative on average score forty fifteen K. T. this is we go on I don't feel like laying more than three touchdowns on the road a lot of Georgia lap I am in the ground natural become a you know a trendy city to travel to and carrying out the the it's a pass for me yeah it's a tough one when you start seeing better than three touchdowns total fifty seven fifty seven and a half up to fifteen have some places of the total but a point a half swing there one place to the other so depending on what you want make sure you get the best number Pittsburgh there at home or do these guys he's still there but he's got to change things quickly now he brings back can you take it his quarterback French in mac pretty good receivers coming back defensively he's got some decent guys but were shot weaver he is out for the year that's a big loss for the defense there for pet only guy on the offense of line back is a good one and Jimmy Marcy but they lost running backs quadri Alice in as well as Darren hall those two guys twenty three hundred fifty seven yards and twenty one touchdowns gonna be tough to replace that do meanwhile for you know a Virginia team Bryce Perkins is ready to go is a little bit banged up but here's a kids' refer twenty five touchdowns nine picks rushed for another nine twenty three and nine touchdowns PK tired your apparent there in the backfield four linebackers are back including Jordan mac inside linebacker very solid and snout and Snyder is well eight defensive starters back for Bronco Mendenhall is doing a nice job there I think Virginia is the best team on the coastal side of the ACC I think they're better than Virginia Tech on offense and so that's why I like them to win that half but they'll have to take care of business add pigments and never easy to open up on the road it's a proud program I just don't know if it's going to be able to score points they usually play decent defense are tough in the trenches at home but they have trouble scoring at times and Virginia to me with Bryce Perkins a dual threat very consistent last year yeah this is one where the markets a sharper and and then then when I was fifteen twenty years ago I mean a team that won the coastal division your ago and they're at home they're defending division champs they beat Virginia on the road last year and yet the market has Virginia and the the the correct team favored in this game but I just I I think ten fifteen years ago it's for the least lane for a year I like what Virginia brings back I like the job rock on mine and I was doing there I like Bryce Perkins I like the defense a person now and again I think Pittsburgh's overrated but with that being said I don't feel like laying points on the road in week one of the conference matchup update on the ridge that you for the Toyota towns were were now thirty one twenty one Colorado up by ten per do leads Nevada thirty one seventeen wolf pack right now a second intent on the produce thirty eight a score any type of score there for Nevada could get them at least to the number with a field but more than likely with only ten minutes to go the trying hit paydirt keep an eye on that game single are and the Purdue offenses really slow down in the second half the play for Brad powers he got the number early Missouri going to Wyoming to take on Craig bowls pokes showing chambers his quarterback validate in the backfield three back on the offense of line review business kid one of the receivers defensively couple linebackers that are outstanding but Logan Wilson the best of the bunch no question Tyler hall Antonio whole pretty good in the secondary there for Wyoming is force for Mizzou barrio them it's the transfer from Clemson in Kelly Bryant Larry Rowntree the third this guy over twelve hundred yards eleven touchdowns on the ground Albert an outstanding tight and and they've got Jonathan Johnson as well pretty good receiver three back on the old line including left tackle use here to rant leading the way on defense cal Garrett he's a tackling machine a hundred twelve tackles last year mark is a seal anchor that secondary your take on Mizzou now the line sixteen and a half total fifty three and a half but bread you got this line really early yeah I got Missouri minus fourteen and guys if you listen to this fact met and then we want a little weird because the line's been out for several months it will be like this drug course this even though I am not brag or anything then I got back to me in a line that had a time and I have some stronger played as we move along here but and the current numbers just a lean for me here's what I saw I mean I mean I've seen Missouri be a great goalie I went Wonderland double digits let her know straight up nine into against the number average covered by fourteen points per game and check this out average score when Missouri a double digit favorite Missouri fifty five their opponents eighteen certainly burial was not afraid to run it up I like the personnel from Missouri I don't like the personal for Wyoming I know it's in Laramie seven thousand feet up any travel spot Burnett he's the team but I it's all about the Jimmy than Joe is there and how easily Missouri got a lot more will give me the tires nine eight minutes to go seven games to get in Oregon Auburn one of the big games of the day it'll be late afternoon aria Cristobal and Oregon right now catching for to Auburn at Jimmy's house in Arlington fifty six the total Auburn gonna go with bone X. over Joey Gatewood movie with low back in the backfield cam Morton as well Anthony Schwartz still listed as questionable with a hand injury we'll keep an eye on that for Auburn but all five on the offense of line back in a defensive line with co brown at Davidson that is outstanding for Oregon neighboring back all five on their offense of line a young man the dope and Gus Cumberland Cumberland or I should say both defense events they're going to need to get some pressure on the young freshman there they did lose Jaylen jokes but they have Troy die a hundred fifteen tackles his brother Travis died in the backfield over seven hundred yards or a combination with him and CJ for dell to help out Herbert as seventeen hundred fifty yards between those two in the backfield that's pretty solid jawan Johnson is listed as probable now the transfer from Penn state ten back on the offense for Oregon this could be a good game I I I I know it's SEC over pac twelve so you lean SEC but I'm gonna take.

"Missouri and Kentucky it depends on what you what matters to you could put those next six almost any order depending on what you care about evade these last if you're talking jobs let's go to Larry in Florida. What's up Larry for noon good afternoon? Can you hear me okay. I can hear you even better than I would have ever hoped all right super <hes> real quick. My name is Larry But <hes> most people say won't come from call me gator Larry so when I start saying something about Georgia I don't want you to <hes> <hes> take it as just because come from Florida but you still by my thunder is that <hes> George hasn't won the national title since Nineteen Eighty and it's only one yes and that particular not not crying about that the better team before came within a hair's breadth of beaten with Herschel Walker that year and then everyone had a win one national title they pulled it off late in the fourth quarter and beat us and they ended up going and win the national title. Is it a loss that day no shots national title again that year had one and then he'd be the best job right. I mean you and they've only that's also why live my prediction is. They won't win at this year because they haven't won fifty years. Why should I think you know they should win? Is this your forty years. <hes> I don't care how good they are. They find a way to lose news. That's all I can say about that and the other thing was and so don't come down the last game when they lost when to beat them and that that unbelievable play I think every Gourds van that held I hope in finally give it up if I understand like I you know I don't but I disagree with him. Georgia's GonNa win one. They're GONNA win one before it's over because there there there's too much talent there. They're going to win one and they recruit at a level right now. The three best recruiting schools in the country are Alabama Georgia and Clemson and at some point Georgia's GonNa win one my win one in about six or seven months they might but you're not gonNA convince me. They're the best job until that happens John and Kentucky what's up John My head giant. How are you today? Thank you good. How are you glad well yeah? Actually I'm from Huntsville but I'm driving through Kentucky okay. I'm a truck driver. Hey I'm GonNa ask you to personal questions. It's none of my business but I'm going to ask you anyway. I've heard you speak of that. You're from close to the Kentucky Tennessee state line. When you correct yes yeah? Is that over around seventy five yeah I'm not. I'm not JELLICOE. I'm down Cumberland gap where middle's Berle Cumberland Cumberland Daniel Boone came through. That's where I am well. Let's beautiful country. I got to tell you this beautiful country Korea some more and more thing why in the fail at you not announced you're running from the Senate. Well I mean I haven't announced yet John Because I'm not doing it yeah. That's a question that I don't think and I appreciate the call never been asked on the Paul Finebaum show host you think they've ever asked a host the Paul Finebaum show. Why haven't you announced you think Tony Barnhart swagger? Maybe someone asking how is Tommy Tub reveal L. Doing. Isn't he running. That sounds familiar. I do not know I'm not certain of this but I'm fairly sure Tommy reveals running for Senate in in Alabama. He's running for the Republican nomination according to Google you're correct yeah. I wanted to see winning that I don't know I haven't gotten that far in yeah. I thought he was running. It's like there's three or four people and he's one of them. That's interesting you know not a lot of former coaches. Coaches have one so former athletes who've run for Office for Senate..

"On the break. It was only one guy back, and it was Trevor more Cronin was pointing at him the entire time and saying make the play and what he's talking about make the play course Cronin will tell you. There are no lay ups in the game. So with for the dunk any foul them, nothing cheap going to the monitor to see if it was flagrant or anything like that mcduffie at the line to shoot two for Wichita state. And his first foul shot is good Marcus picked up the perfect four for four from the line. I guess when you shoot free throws that well, you can pull guys off line. I'm they wanted to do as little line shift with a substituted a lot of their players. Jaren Cumberland right back into the game for Cincinnati. Second foul shot. Good. So Marcus mcduffie. Taking advantage of five free throws in the first nine and a half minutes of the game. He has seven points in the Bearcats lead is one fifteen fourteen. Cambridge looks toward his head coach. The dribbles into the front court holds up five fingers on the left hand indicate the play broom with a crossover dribble. Just inside the three point line passes backward. For Jaren Cumberland, Jaren defended by Dexter, Dennis passes, inner corner with broom gives it right back to Cumberland Cumberland will shoot a straightaway. Trae it's an airball ball flowed out of bounds. He rivalled it over to Kane. Kane had some Kane didn't have it gave it right back to Jaren and Jaren settled for the long three instead of getting the guy on skates and get into the basket Cumberland has one for his first five overall over to from outside the three point line, the seer Brooks will take his first break. Haley also semi who did not get in in last night's victory over SMU checks in for the Bearcats fifteen fourteen Cincinnati. We are midway through the first-half. Texter Dennis outside, the are kind the right side of the floor drives on so semi passes. Top of the key for Burton's now. Dennis wipes the ball in front of so semi launches a three point shot barely hits the ram rebounded by so semi who outlets for Jaren Cumberland Cincinnati the ball up by one nine forty left in the first half. Keith Williams, passing for Cumberland here. The top of the circle Jaren tripling with a left hand stops near the left elbow passes backward. For Jennifer Justin now driving into the lane. Shovels it under the. The hoop. Handsome, semi lays it in dunk the ball young fellow. Great pass by Justin getting traffic. Scoops it over for the layup. Seventeen fourteen Cincinnati nine seventeen left in the half mcduffie drives wild shot. No, good rebounded by so semi outlets. The Cumberland again long lead feed caused by Trayvon Scott. And the ball got poked out of his hands out of bounds by Eric. Stevenson. Cats are pushing the pace trying to get this team running up and down. And I think the cats have the better athletes to be able to do that the worst three point shooter in the copper and Ricky Torres will check into the game for Wichita state. This is not hyperbole on my point. He is three for forty two from outside the arc this year. That ain't good Jennifer passes into Cumberland on the right wing. Jaren driving toward the free throw line handed it off to Trayvon Scott. His jump shot is good. His second three point basket of the game. Bear cats are up by six. He's confident in his shot is stroke looks beautiful that ties his high two three pointers in the same game. Torres has it outside the ark for Wichita state passes. For Burton toes on the three point line Williams holds a hand in his face Burton one hand feet. Four mcduffie contested three showers. No good. And a late foul called on Trayvon Scott as Marcus mcduffie is fouled for the second time in the first twelve minutes while shooting at three point shot. Well, if this crew I don't get upset at that. But at this crew was in the last game.

"Brooks at the free throw line to Jennifer outside the arc back to Brooks down. Low for Scott touch passed a Jennifer for three hands went right after short rebounded. By shag wa tomorrow McMurray who has scored nine dribbles into the front court for SMU guarded on the perimeter right now by Kane broom and a two three match up zone. Dixon has it outside the arc to the free. Throw line is AM Mike outside the ark for a wide. Open. Mcmurray. You can count that just off Cumberland. His just his offense is affecting his defense right now. SMU leads it by a point twenty three to twenty to twelve points in the first half for Jamal McMurray. The one guy in this game for either team that can make a shot. Here's Kane belong three. Barely grazed. The ram rebounded by Dixon. Cincinnati four four fourteen from outside the arc. Isaiah Mike driving into the lane scoop shot up at any time by Mick Cronin. And he's looking at he's looking at Gerry Cumberland like are you gonna play defense and Jerry keep putting his hands up like it's not his fault. So he's gonna pull him out of the game. Trevor more we'll check in. We'll keep it here. One twenty three left in the half. SMU leads by three twenty five twenty two even though the Bearcats have sixteen offensive rebounds in the first half. And they're losing camp. Finish around the basket Nassir Brooks has been dominating. Trae Scott has been getting been active down low. They'd been doing what they want to get second opportunities. But they're not looking to score down low. They're looking to kick it back out for three point sides. Mickey's home run plays it a catching the ball towering up to the rim and scorn coming into the game. Cincinnati was tenth in the country and offensive rebound percentage. Rebounding about thirty seven percent of the messes percentage is much higher than that. So far tonight. But as you pointed out because you get. Offensive rebound. Doesn't mean. It's back in the basket. It looks good on the stats, but you have to be able to convert those that you can convert those it's a much different story here. Trevor Moore did check in. But not for Jaren Cumberland Cumberland is still on the floor of the cats are gonna go small. They've got four guards on the floor to go with this year. Brooks masturbate way to go. You're going to play two three zone. Need to get somebody in the high polls. Everybody else of the perimeter Berlin in front of the SMU batch passes between the circles, Justin, Jennifer couple, a right hand dribbles, lobs it to Brooks touch pass the Cumberland around the perimeter of the left side and Kane Brome Cumberland four three shot too. Strong rebounded by NAT Dixon. Fifty four seconds left in the half. SMU with the ball with a three point lead. Mcmurray. Top of the circle passing for NAT Dixon, Dixon. Now. Driving spinning lefty Bank shot. No, good, offensive rebound Farrand, HUD, into the corner for Dixon, and he hit two three point basket goes for. For the block not one guard goes in there to rebound the basketball. That's what happen when you take prey Scott out the guards to sit over there. And look for everybody else to get the rebound, and they get the opportunity to shoot another three dot a big crowd tonight. But a noisy crowd SMU has taken a six point lead with a fourteen to three run down seventeen seconds left in the half. A one second difference between the clocks two three zone for SMU. Jennifer, ten seconds left in the half fakes a pass to the left. Throws it to the right? Trevor more for three it is. No, good rebounded by SMU. Two seconds one. Second McMurray from sixty feet. His shot is no good and the Bearcats will head to the locker room after probably their worst first-half offensively syntheses and opener against Ohio State. Just look very disinterested. Cumberland seems to be looking for calls. He's kind of upset the guys are grabbing him. He has pouty. Look on his face as the leader of your team. Just to Jennifer the leader in the. KABC three point percentage has yet to connect. They have every offense rebound. But yet they're not able to finish. So it's gonna be a long game the Bearcats attempted thirteen more shots.

"Meeting wins wanting wins, desperate, even you can save for wins. Panthers. Had lost six in a row. Oakland has dropped three in a row, and there will be just five games left. Make it four games left after tonight for the Panthers. And that is why every game critical the rest of the way if Milwaukee wants to qualify for the horizon league tournament starting lineups are sponsored by Pepsi, grab a Pepsi and some friends and get in the game starting five now for the Oakland golden grizzlies as I say there are seven and seven the league eleven and sixteen overall five and ten on the road four and four on the road in conflict. Since starting five includes a six foot freshman guard from Hilliard Ohio. Brayden Norris Norris who comes into this one as the top three point shooter percentage. Wise over all this year hitting on forty six percent of his three pointers. These number one in the league when you look at the overall numbers also at guard, a six freshman from Novi Michigan. Trae Mattis junior third guard in the lineup. The six three redshirt junior from Wilmington Ohio shaven Cumberland Cumberland in conference the third leading scorer in the league at eighteen points per game. Then inside the six seven redshirt junior forward from Greensboro, North Carolina. Exude your Hilmi's. He'll as is. They're scoring leader. Overall this year through their twenty seven games that almost nineteen a game. And Brad bracketing the six eleven redshirt junior Senator from cedar springs, Michigan wearing number thirteen and directing has been playing very well of late Panthers. Didn't at the deal much with him. Certainly in the first match up, by the way, he's going. They'll have to deal with him tonight, Norris, Maddox, junior, Cumberland, bracketing and hill. Maze. For the thirty fifth year head coach at the grizzlies. Great campy six hundred thirteen wins for campy in here. Thirty and now the Pepsi starting lineup for your Milwaukee Panthers. Four and nine in the league nine in seventeen. Overall, six five at home this year had guard a five eleven junior from Chicago Illinois co captain is Bryce Barnes..

"Man's Bruton. Looking looking having trouble getting it in then almost a five count? And it is and it is turnover. Number thirteen. The Bearcats have not had a turnover in the second half. That's pretty amazing and they get the ball right back. Wow. Bruton couldn't get it in great d- by Mick Cronin's defense and Cincinnati they hustles coming out of a timeout though. That's the thing Cumberland having trouble. Then finally gets it to Scott. He wants to go back hands the ball. Jennifer, Jennifer hounded by Bruton still not in the front court gets there with a second and a half to spare. Jennifer brings it to the right side and Mick Cronin. This parking out. What he watched three oh five to go in the game. Not a Cumberland Cumberland brings it right time line with ten on the clock looks over at Cronin. Three to go in the game here, and he's gonna work on Thornton. He's taking three over him on the way Remi no rebound Davenport to get away from. Bruton still down six to fifty to go Bruton will bring it up look at it adds zone. Bruton works between the circles gets it at the free throw line Davenport right corner Thornton right back to Bruton. He works. The left side kicks at Martin left corner. He's got the look he's got the bucket got his spot. I let him open left side if the fifty five one possession game inbound with two twenty eight to go to Williams right back to Cumberland picked up by Thornton tells everybody to go in Thornton tries to steal the ball. Finally, get to the front door does Cumberland nineteen on the clock. And they dot h. HSEN foul called on me. That'll be his fourth. That'll be the seventh on the U of M and Cumberland a very good brief throw shooter. We'll get a one in one here. The he took a shot a moment ago. As it. It really make a lot of sense. Let's see our line pays it back. We're going to replay man that was so close. I didn't think there was much contact. Didn't they get quite turn it over yet and somebody had a call Sutton, and they did so Cumberland's gone to the line one and one. He is two of four from the live free throw on the way, nothing but net. Fifty nine fifty.

"You see me, raise, a fist or your red or black whatever the color is. We're gonna foul other than that. That assumes the Keith Williams makes the second free throw. Yes. It's a two point lead. His first foul shot was too long. Cincinnati fifty three percent from a line in this game. Eight for fifteen not good. Sophomore from Brooklyn dribbles three times does a deep. Knee. Bend puts up the shot around the rim. Cincinnati leads by three and the Bearcats will call a time out. So the coach Cronin can tell them exactly what he wants with five fifteen thousand a three point lead with sixteen point two seconds on the clock. So you're gonna see salt pressure. You may see two to one style salt pressure just to get them to have court. And then once they get the half, Gordon utilize one thousand and make them take the ball out and half court Brimmer, Dan they've had three it's this game where they couldn't get the ball. They just threw the ball directly out about on a out of bounds play. Whether it be underneath the basket on the sideline. We'll take my chances. Make sure they get the half court get that thing down to about ten and then you follow him for that nine second. Mark. The only have nine seconds make them take a couple of times to get a couple of seconds to get the ball in someone to get it in the half court. They have nine seconds or eight seconds to attack your established defense. The other thing you can't do as powering guy while shooting at three to give him three foul shots. Yes. You gotta be smart with the fouls. If you use them seventy one sixty eight Cincinnati, sixteen point two seconds left and regulation. Everybody's standing up your fifth third arena with twelve thousand plus. Looking on. I'd say Michael throw it in passes in four McMurray. Mcmurray. Doubling towards center court thirteen seconds left. Carded by Jennifer down to ten seconds to go. The bear cats lead by three McMurray. Step back three point shot. Point three seconds to go. The Bearcats did not commit the foul. They allowed McMurray to shoot a contested three. Excellent defense by Justin Jennifer articles Cronin. He was sitting over there and have been down saying foul, and Justin Jennifer was like, no, I'm taking on the challenge any. Luckily, he missed that. Because if he would have made that shot, you talk about losing your hair. Jumping up and down because he was opened up and down saying foul foul, and he didn't do it in the air bold. Cincinnati will have the ball four point three seconds left in regulation as SMU called its final time out the Bearcats have one left. So if the inbounder has trouble getting it in Cincinnati can call one more time out to avoid a turnover. Justin, Jennifer is going to take the ball out most likely in the play to get the ball to Cumberland Cumberland is the one that has is in his veins. Everybody else seems nervous. They don't have the same of freedom of play as Cumberland is allowed always allows to your best player. You get a chance to get away with more stuff. He's the guy with the looser game Luther personality to try to get it into Cumberland. But whoever catches the inbounds pass doesn't have to do anything other than just hold on tight. I stand corrected. Cumberland will throw it in probably two. Justin, jennifer. Or you to good free throw, shooters and Kane broom trace Scott unguarded on the opposite side of the floor. Now shag wa starting to walk back there. They're trying to create some space for Cumberland to get it in balance. He cannot run the baseline. Jared bounces it in for Kane. Broom there's the foul with three point four seconds left. Cain will make at least one of these. I mean, he comes in here shooting. Couple takes under eighty percent. Seventy nine percent forty to fifty three from the line. And he's been pretty close with the free throw line early on this season. One foul shot will do it. If he makes one it's coffin nails has got to coming. Seventy nine percent for the year, the senior from east Hartford, Connecticut. I file shot up at rattles air. And that's the ballgame. Cincinnati up by four with three point four seconds to go haven't seen so many high fives and dancers the Super Bowl last year. I mean, everybody's like yes, finally people are putting their jackets on now. I mean, this was a hard fought victory against a team that many people really underestimated because they thought the short bitch should be a deficit. Second foul shot. Good eleven points for Kane. Brew Bearcats backup defensively. Here's a long baseball pass. Sagwa catches but steps out about Dan turnover for SMU after the free throw all.

"Facebook at Facebook dot com slash Nick de show. So Jim Ryan, welcome back. Thank you, sir. Okay. Before the before the break, we were talking about the the piece that you wrote about the the the X files. Yeah. About the X files. You wrote a panel soundtrack from the extra X games and the music was associated with that. Yes. And that's available. Where's that? Last week. So that's up there. Now, we were just talking off the air that you just interviewed John cusak. I did. Yeah. That'd be running. I think next week in the daily herald and he's coming to town to to host a screening of high fidelity. Yeah. February tenth of the Genesee and Keegan when did you talk to him talk to him a week and a half ago? So we talked specifically about high fidelity, which I know you're not a fan. No not. But I can't. You know, I can't be objective about it. Because I sure I adapted. The thing to the stage before they made the movie, and so I can't be real objective about it. There were some interesting things that because you figure it's hard to believe that movies almost twenty years old. It's crazy to start with. But one of the one of the questions, I got a real good answer from him on was the fact that that movie now almost kind of memorialize is these these venues that have fallen to gentrification because I you've got jacks. And then since the movie has come out you've you've had the double door well, both of which play fairly significant roles in the movie. Yeah, it is. It is it is. It is really it is. And you know, and it does it does certainly capture a very specific time and time and place. Right. The film does and it it does have a great soundtrack. I I'm not thrilled about the movie, but the, but the soundtrack is great. That was the other great answer. I got out of them because we talked a little bit about how since the record industry has fallen in the early two thousands. You've had since it's been harder to sell. You've had less of a focus on good soundtracks. And you and I have talked previously about baby driver. That's the one in particular that that comes to my mind recently that just that soundtrack function. Powers every element of the move and gives me hope. But I I asked him I said, you know in a perfect world. Great soundtrack like that. What does it do to drive the narrative, you know, of a movie that was that was that was when he really dove into? Yeah. Yeah. Well, you know, they have some really great songs for that for that soundtrack. And. Yeah. So no. So the deal is is he introducing the movie in the Q and A after I believe that's what it is. Yeah. Okay. Okay. So that should be cool. He did one last year Chicago theater to for for for high fidelity. Yeah. So it's so it's cool that he's doing those kind of things here specifically, you know, what's really funny. I just realized this. I can't remember the the. The venue. But Jeremy Piven is coming to town a yeah, he's doing stand up sketch comedy. I did see that stuff. Yeah. And I can't remember what the venue is. I want to say it's tally hall. Maybe I don't think it's I think it might be the same place. It might be the judge might be the same place. I can't I don't recall, but it's it's in March. He's coming in March to do stand up and sketch sketch interesting real interesting. I, you know, I used to know these guys they I was I was friends with those guys like back in the late eighties early nineties. Okay. I knew them they live together. They lived in ten we hung out a lot. We went to a bar called works all the time and hung out. And and I saw a lot of their new crime productions the theatre company that they were a part of the cusak. Ran and there was a period of time when I hung out with those guys a lot. And then that just after a while just completely stopped. It was right around after red after Piven got PC you, okay. I love you too. I do too George Clinton's shining moments. It's hilarious movies. Great the movies. Great and pivots. Very funny is, but but it was right after you came up, which was not an enormous any stretch of the imagination you, and I really like it. You know, the the overall public did not respond as well to it is, you know, weeded the star on David's fades. Yeah resume. Yeah. Well, I do think it's one of my favorite parts of that movie. Is if the flashback of. Of Piven going nuts and David Spade in with his braces or whatever like writing covers because he's terrified because Evans drunk and scream and run around like a lunatic. Yeah. I mean, it's it's a funny movie would was right around that time period when he came back to town when he was not the same. He was not the same. You know? We're not really working actor living in Chicago right came back. And he was basically he was joining the notoriety. He was the character. He played from entourage. Let me just God. Okay. Yeah. He was Ari. He's already. I'll tell you what though. I'm not exaggerating. He did. I mean, he that was his close to Piven as you can get okay. With his personality. He was great on that show. He was he was it was fantastic casting though because it was perfect. Interesting that those dudes are doing like a QNA like wacky theater thing. That is you're correct by Saturday March second at the Genesee enter there you go. Now, are you a fan of Grosse Pointe blank? Yes. Not as big as a lot. I know a lot of people who door that move. That's another great soundtracks when I was gonna say because we got into that a little bit because he started telling jokes drummer stories. Summer was involved in scoring that. Yeah. So that was cool too. Yeah. You should have asked him. You know, you should ask them about the time. You spent with hundred Thomson. Oh god. Oh, you did. Thompson. They did a stage adaptation of fear and loathing. Wow. Okay. I didn't know that ninety nine hundred ninety one while I saw it like three times. And he spent time he was out, you know, living in the trailer. He was out in the trailer drinking while Turkey and hanging out with with hundred Thompson shooting guns blown stuff. Oh, man. Yeah. Storage side would imagine. Stories. I've heard it for I've heard those stories firsthand and they're pretty fantastic. I gotta tell you. And their production was big and crazy and overblown. But I liked it. I thought it was. Yeah. So that was that was a long time ago that was like a ninety one is when they I think that when we went up in ninety one I think fall ninety one so you'll pivoting cusak. Former roommates are now going to entertain the walking in theaters. Well, that's interesting. All right. Let's see you. Did it you you wrote a little bit about Christmas music now? I know it's the end of January right now. But I wanna talk about somebody. Did you good ones? Yeah. Talk about that. You talk to Brian Wilson had Brian Wilson again. Yeah. Let me let's let's talk about that. Because that's Brian Wilson fan a really fun three and a half minutes. That was about a long. It's okay. That was about how long it took. I think the first time I had him on the phone with six and a half minutes. This one was I think three and a half minutes. But he what was really interesting to me. Looking at the story of the the beach boys Christmas album in sixty five I think is sixty four sixty five predates barely predates pet. Sounds which is where everyone points to him really beginning the studio exploration, maybe slightly before it. Yeah. Summer days and summer nights. But the first time he ever worked with a full orchestra was on that beach boys Christmas album is that right? Yeah. And he brought in Hebron in the guy who produced and arranged the four freshmen, which are his, you know, be all end all every every vocal thing. He he patterns for the beach boys is all after the four freshmen, so he brought in that producer to arrange the strings, but I think you could make the argument, and he confirmed it that a lot of that studio experimentation began with that beach boys Christmas album because that was the first time he was thinking in terms of much much bigger rain events. So it really came to fruition on pet. Sounds about a year and a half later, but he started it you could make the argument that he started it with the Christmas album. So that was time on the beach boys Christmas album and the release of Phil Spector's Christmas album that close close Phil Spector's was I know that because Phil Spector's Christmas album is amazing. It's one of the greatest albums ever not just Christmas albums, but. Think that it came from that guy's mind. Yeah. Yeah. Sorry. It is. And it's such a such a legendary, right? A Christmas album. Yeah. Ten love and the run outs. Yeah. That's wonderful. Yeah. Great stuff. I knew that they had to be released pretty close to one another. Yeah. I think they are. And what about Billy Gibbons you love Billy given. I know you do my favorite person interview. Yeah. I know Billy Gibbons in telling the story about the burrito. The burrito establishment will the unique you talk over Reto thing on Cumberland Cumberland, man, Cumberland, like a like a beacon on ninety. But. What I what I posed to him was I can't think of too many other artists who could make the make the claim that they have worked on Christmas music with both William Shatner. And lemme right? That's pretty unique company and Dave Grohl because Dave girls on the song. Lemme too, right? So that's that's unique company for Billy Gibbons. So he mentioned that he was a fan of of Christmas music for for about one month a year. And he's glad that it's not playing the other eleven months a year. I think a lot of a lot of. Disagree with that. But now, unfortunately, I mean, he's a fan of it for one month a year, but we get it for three and a half months. I mean, they start playing Christmas music and October point. It's gets more and more ridiculous. Completely other fame other favorite holiday music. What what what what came up there? I had a head Lucia Mika rally who who played who played entre may play the anti the streets. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And so we talked quite a bit about it. She's a huge fan of of NAT king Cole and some of the more traditional Christmas stuff. But she she singled out, the the the beach boys Christmas album sounds able to kind of in my in my piece them together. Go on right into the other school. But she's great in term as amazing. Yeah. Well, yeah, she she told a couple of stories actually about working there were two Tremaine Christmas episodes one where her parents come to visit and her mother was played by. And it's scaping me. Now, I can't remember she was so thrilled to work with this major major legendary actress whose name is escaping me. Okay. Great radio. The second Christmas episode was she was having dinner with Jefferson's family in the huge compound in New Orleans, but the kind of explaining what it was like to to work in those episodes where she was totally out of her league as an actress and just kind of watched those scenes unfold with, you know, people like John Goodman. Yeah. It was pretty amazing. Yeah. That's cool. Yeah. She was great. That's great. Our Jim hang on. We're gonna take a quick break. We're going to talk more music with Jim. And then a little bit later on. We are going to play around of music. I IQ and see how well you've have you? Did you win both times? No, I didn't win last time last time. It was was a, Dan. I it was Dan, Dan, one on the first time when I ambush Dan with all the jazz. That's right. Well, we have a different, Dan. It's going to be different because we have a different, Dan. That was Dan she grew. This is Dan long. Dan, you ready for some music? I will I will also not hold up under heavy jazz. Yeah. Well, none of us. Really? Well, I mean, we've anytime there was a jazz question and come up with all go boy, but we'll do that in a little bit. So let's take a break right now. Jim hang on. We'll come back and talk more music with Jim Ryan right here on seven twenty WGN. Blackhawks.

You got no chance. So does your bread deserve your have a chance? Obviously Xavier has a chance. No, no, have a very very good chance. I would say in recent history has been on the side of the Muskie's. What are the fact since nineteen seventy nine hundred seventy year. That's not that's not a good. That's a. Since nineteen seventy it is twenty four to twenty four. It's very even very split. It's about as even that can get, but we're going to talk about more recent history. The Muskie's eight out of the last eleven four out of the last five, and let's be honest. It comes down to Xavier's offense versus the defense and the slowdown offense two of the four cats, and I really. It was just a quick slip. College is about not showing enough respect for you're not showing respect my time hanging out with handy MAC has eight consecutive NCWA. Turn remember that first team that the Meccan herited hugs left in the cupboard was bear the cupboard was like rim. Now, what happened and Mick beat a really good Xavier team over there at the at the old shoemaker center who was president in nineteen seventy tell them nineteen seventy was a Nixon. "For a family plan seventeen eighty five By one of the reforms that I wanna see in healthcare. Is the elimination of the family plan it just is crazy to me that a. Family of six Gets off paying the. Same thing as a family that has one kid isn't that crazy racket there is surprising changes that are. Starting to go out in the insurance business over that but Goofy thing that, is anyway that's the cost four. Hundred ninety five dollars for a single plan seventeen eighty five for a family pled in Burlington it's higher five hundred? Seventy seven dollars for a single plan but the family plan is lower sixteen thousand nine, hundred In both cases Those are the rates Even though act can allows the Berlin and Burlington to make the employees kick in for. A fairly significant cut Of the cost of their health insurance Do you know how much the teachers and other employees? In Berlin are paying for their coverage nothing Nothing Do you know how much they're making the employees pay in? Burlington. Nothing In, fact to be fair to all of the school districts of the state. There are, hardly any school districts that are at making them pay anything in? Fact New Berlin, in Burlington have. The rare, distinction of being to school districts that have never made their employees, pay anything before act ten they paid nothing and after at ten they. Paid nothing They're only a handful of them that fit that category you want me to read the list the dubious list you could make the case that these might be the most. Abusive school, districts in the state, of this is the list of school districts in the state in which the employees have never paid anything for, their health insurance. Either before or after, Atkin Burlington Cumberland Cumberland somewhere up north think Erin Lacked to Flambeau number, one Lake Geneva both elementary and high school Berlin Saint. Christ, central union grove and winter Summer is. Better than. Witter. Smith data winters a community that's it Those are the only ones. There are others. That at one time made the employees kick in. The don't wa, tosa all told there are twenty three school districts. It, was constant. Which the employee's pay zero for their health insurance Twenty-three a. Small there's hundreds of school districts in the state while we're toes also seeking. A referendum And they should be criticized as well. Obviously, the need. To have to borrow a ton of money for buildings and all of this stuff Could be significantly. Limited, if they simply had the employees take out a portion of the cost of the health insurance Just work in the numbers there Ten. Percent of four hundred ninety five. Let, me get. The right numbers. Yeah new Berlin four hundred ninety five is. The monthly premium for single plan. Teacher pays. Ten percent of that that's forty nine. Bucks right there for family Pat it's one. Hundred and seventy eight a month you're getting add that up across all the employees of the school system and you have significantly lowered one of the major. Costs Of operating a school district healthcare costs are killing everybody as we all know Which is why almost all of, us have to pay a portion, now in the? Case of Burlington into Berlin what they will say is this do you know do you want to know. What they'll say to defend themselves take a guess No this is what they would say see you know you just can't think like a liberal here's the as, we come up we. Came up with a less. Expensive. Plan so that's the trade off they. Say in both cases where we, both have high. Deductible healthcare plaids and that's what they'll say in both communities who has high deductible healthcare plans everybody on the planet that's what. We have here mind I. Kept to kick in for mind we have a high deductible plan said everybody has. We all have high deductible Plaid's it's the. First few hundred bucks comes from you and the rest comes. From the insurance company that's the, way they work so let's say what we didn't have a high deductible plan before we did, not we do now NBA exchange for doing that the employers then have to pay for a portion of it it's just a load, of crap and it's the real, answer is Berlin thinks that they can because every referendum his passing go get the money from the taxpayers and, just keep screwing the employee's by, not even making? A minimal attempt to work through act can but tell everybody? All we've done Everything we can which they always same thing down in Burlington Peterson about, the superintendent down there same thing The other school districts, that if the two. Or three that area I don't know if they ever randoms coming up this fall but I sing aloud new Berlin in Burlington. Is too grotesque, cases have communities that don't make their employees pay a one plug nickel for. Their healthcare What are the, most expensive cost the government has paying the health insurance but, they turn around and. They wanna borrow tens of millions of dollars both of these communities for tax referendums Razzie say if you're and this stuff here Macabre institute created this database and we're gonna work getting links up on some of this stuff but they, they create. This database that allows us to? Go in and compare so you can, see which communities are at least trying to make the employee's pay a portion for these lavish benefits that they have in, which you're just saying screw it I have applauded new Berlin for, not going to referendum for a number of years and I frankly, feel as, though I'm just a sucker for having applauded them the likely explanation. Is he gets school board members on they're they run they claim they're conservative and I backed a lot of the current newborn Lynn school board members and I, just God I mean I felt for, their crap that they were going to continue to be, fiscally, responsible well. We've been fiscally responsible in the past that isn't a guarantee of course that you're going to, be in the future True somebody who didn't use heroin last year. Is, it likely to use it this year but there is there, are people who do start we wouldn't have the epidemic And, it's some of these districts communities that had been fiscally responsible no longer. Are but for the two of them to not make the. Employees pay anything it's obnoxious abuse but they do it, because they think they can get away with it make the tax. Payers pass a referendum and hope that enough people aren't even aware of, stuff like I just mentioned and I'll grant you in Nebraska, and and some of these communities there is, some citizen blockers who try to get things outed every now, and then there'll be a reporter for what? Are the weeklies who knows what he or she. Is doing but usually not In my in my case here, fortunately the macgyver institutes digging into every district in the state and we have their. Numbers and we can see something off but otherwise house the guy like, I can't go, and kill you what every single district in southeastern Wisconsin with the employees. Are paying for their healthcare somebody in each local community has. To go out and do it but in many of, these communities all of the pressure is the teachers aren't gonna wrap. Themselves out for being able to get these incredible benefits nothing for their, health insurance in your Berlin nothing for the health insurance at, Burlington both districts are seeking massive tax increase, referendum this fall Didn't even make the attempt to. Make it look good by saying, we know we stretch to the bone we're making the employee's pay ten twelve thirteen percent which is still way lower than the private sector the private sector the average right now is about twenty five percent of what employers are paying their cost of the premium some higher, some lower but that's about the average I think it's in the twenty somewhere zero in both of those districts zero, I did, contact I did not have an opportunity and fairness. To, Burlington I did not contact them to request the response here I did contact Joe Garza the superintendent in Berlin and. The president of, the school board of new Berlin and as of a four o'clock neither of them had gotten back to me to explain just how, it is that they can run around and try to Jack up. Taxes at a referendum when they, are sitting there taken at and just essentially spitting added and not taking anywhere near full advantage of it not, even getting the employees to kick in a. Dollar and a half a year for. The.
