Raz0rfist Describes How Masculinity Is Being Demonized

"Question, I have a list of questions I ask all my guests with regards to the topic of manhood in the manhood hour. The first thing is razor fist is a manhood is masculinity in trouble in our society today. I think it is suppressed. I don't know if trouble is the word for it, because it's not going away in the traditional sense, but it is absolutely being demonized. And I believe of also just as often and perhaps just as aggressively, it's being explicitly ignored. Like muted. That's what it feels like. You know what it reminds me of is that interview with the former CEO of Google where he was talking essentially about censorship without calling it censorship. And he said, you know, we want people to be able to say what they want. But we just want to keep it in a little cubby hole. We want it. We want it to be on the side. You can't find it. But it's still there. That's not censorship, right? It's like that. That's how masculinity is being treated right now. If it's not being explicitly demonized, right? That's really what we do and I come, I come from a different generation than you, but for crying out loud, it must have been even more for you. When I was growing up for crying out loud, he was even compared to that, like now nowadays, it's just ridiculous. We went from the metrosexual thing to straight up heterosexual women, like it's not we've transitioned into just men being expected to be women. That's

"Take away the ability to buy Bitcoin. I don't know if they'll take it away. They'll definitely make it harder, but this is the point I'd like you all to consider if you're listening to this. If you listening to, if you're new to Bitcoin and you're like, a lot of these guys, they say a bunch of stuff that sounds kind of out there. You know, it's in the yay zone. It's in that zone where people are like, hey, I'm not so sure about that. Look, I'm just going to read what he said. I'm also optimistic because today I still have the ability I still have the ability to buy the supreme antidote Bitcoin. This window will not last forever. Capital controls are coming. And when all money is digital in certain transactions are not allowed, the ability to purchase Bitcoin will quickly vanish. If any of this doom porn resonates with you, and you don't own at least a very small amount of Bitcoin, the best day to have bought Bitcoin was yesterday. So again, you may not agree with everything we say here. Maybe 99% of what we say here is completely nonsense. Maybe. But what if 1% of it is right? Maybe you should have some Bitcoin. I'm going to go to Greg, and then we're going to move to rap. Thanks guys really quickly here. What cubby said about stakes and game theory about stakes? Think about game theory and countries selling oil. And that's what I've always said. There will be a country that prices oil and natural gas in Bitcoin. Why? They don't want Fiat dollars for their valuable natural resource energy.

"That's hard. Sometimes, because there are some who just are hesitant to speak up. And making sure that they feel comfortable and get and get their thoughts out, is really, really important. So it's about process on both sides. But the objectives just end up being a little bit different. Yeah. And then I noticed that this concept of listening is like, well, you just make sure your ears are on. They're looking at them. Maybe you're nodding, right? But there's a difference between just listening and helping somebody feel like they're being heard. So if you were to train a brand new leader on how to effectively listen or help an individual feel like they're being heard, any principles or concepts come to mind. Well, nothing new Steven cubby taught this for years. The reflexive listening and just rather than sitting there planning the next thing you're going to say. It's really important to actually hear what they're telling you and then repeat it back in some way or provide something that builds on it. And I don't know that that's a skill that I've developed or just had, but I've been able to do that. I think fairly well. Yeah. Well, no, I would just, I was just agreeing. Yeah. He's a great listener. He's very patient. And which has made me very grateful that he's my companion because he's needed to be. That makes for a good husband as well, right? Yes, exactly. That's what I mean. Abandoned. He's great. No, you mentioned, as far as people before we hit record, you talked about your time as a stake release study president and really connecting with the people you lead and helping them feel loved. And this is sort of almost a cliche we have. Not just in our faith tradition, but you know what, we want people to feel loved. So anything going on as far as how you went about doing that. Well, if I could just kind of tag on to what Greg was talking about and give an example of what not to do,.

Intention: A Simple Memory Tip You Can Use Right Now

"We've talked about many principals having better memory. We talk about imagination. We talk about association. We talk about organization. We talk about attention and does a of deliberation with the. Shah's i wanna talk about one more and that's your in ten shunned her intention. What is your intention for learning. What is your intention for remembering you know. We are bombarded with an avalanche of information right each and every day in it is overwhelming right and you must intend to remember something. If you're going to remember something it's as simple as that if you forgot a name now by the way. Say yes of the you. Have you forgotten name recently. Have you forgotten where you park your car. Have you misplace things that you use every single day. Like you're the rule control. Are maybe your phone. Have you ever lost your train of thought. Have you heard for guy. Would someone just said like maybe something. I just said right and there's a quote from my mentor on his name. Is dr steven cubby. Many of you have read his book. Seven habits highly effective people. He said most people do not listen with the intention to understand. Most people listen with the intention to reply so not or not really understanding because their intention is they're not thinking about how they're going to respond and one of his habits or seek first to understand then to be understood as people don't care how much you know until they know how much you care and that's why your intention matters people could feel your intention now. How are we defining intention. Well in in latin intend just is is your aim it is. It is your purpose right. It can be defined as a thing that you intended in. Aim a plan. The power of intention is is really the power of focus dedicated

"Com. What's up how are you. I'm good doing great right. Harry huge all is well. I want to talk to you because you're based down there in dallas. You're at the ballpark with the rangers. Allot obviously this. Season is all but over at thirty six and sixty five going into wednesday nights action but maliki. They're making some moves and doing a few things including bringing up one of their hot prospects. And that's who. I really wanna talk to you about is curtis terry The first basement tell me about him. And why should range of fans be excited about terry. Became sort of a dragon arranger. She was picking the thirteen round of the twenty. Fifteen draft curtis carried of twenty eighteen. He won the minor league. The tom gries minor league player of the year award in the system twenty nineteen. I'm sorry in twenty twenty. He wasn't on the sixty man. Roster all you know. Do the kobe a lot of minor. League players really hampered developments on a lot of people if you weren't on those specific lawsuit or able to be camps with the team down in florida but he played good this year in the fall league and then this season in the minors seventeen home runs if the three rb is a not at the eight okay. Oh he's been a great piece is going to be a great piece for the rangers. Obviously a lot of them are struggling hidden He came up this weekend for that series against the astros. The astros on a tough pitching stuff so he was held hitless money. Then the lineups win. They night for the rangers against the diamondbacks. The designated hitter. Yeah i mean people excited. There's a lot of buzz about him. So that's great to see the other thing. I wanted to check in on the rangers as that on wednesday The rangers also announced that they signed jack lighter the pitcher of course son of a former major leaguer and he was the number two overall pick in this year's mlb draft and they gave him a huge bonus just under eight million dollars which is the fourth largest bonus in draft history and the largest given to any pitcher since garrett cole got the eight million dollars the first overall pick in twenty eleven Tell us about jack lighter and the expectations and for him one of those two vanderbilt eighth is him along with rocker who he ended up falling the tents and the mets. He's actually dealing with a few elbow issues but lighter was the best pitcher in college. This year actually Even with all the accolade that Rocker had to begin the to begin his career. Low last season this year live was better one of the best bass malls in the in the entire draft killer. Slider i think ranger fans are going to see him called up probably next year. I don't think we waste any bullets with him this year and this sort of wasted season but he had a lot of high expectations with the rangers are known for being an organization that has had much success with their young patriot. Especially in recent years. We've had we've had some are batters. Joey gallo and nick zolak but the pitching gotta calm. And it's gotta come soon. And i think louder is going to get the job. Done forced be a great piece. Great head great. Eighth of our rotation. I should say i do melik right from. Mlb bro dot com. Check him out. He does great work for the website. Maliki appreciate you appreciate appreciated. It talk to you later. Sits jones and for baseball fans take on the game. We hello everyone. This jones how everyone is doing well. I gotta be honest really quick. I'm matt excited for this one right here. The last time i left off. I'll touch briefly on how traceable right around the corner and since then colossal traits unhappy. Or adam frazier go into the project from the pirates and a stable in the twins organization in longtime slugging nelson cruz joining the race. But despite all that there's something else. I saw last week that i have to bring up. I'm referring to the giants dodgers series. Now one might out of all the series. The dodgers entice play so special about this one bro. Well since you're listening to this podcast that means you were born in the last week. So you already know that. This series was going on at the saint thomas the nba finals. And usually i watch games and ordering points mean what's at stake as a result of the game but this come must've me stuck on giants versus dodgers. I mean gays wonderful any heroics yet a fun school for game. While we seventy two chinese with the school was three to two in seven the giant for runs in that any fast forward to the next game. We'll sniff out the get back in the bottom of the night with a three run home run. The following game we saw wilma florez gave his revenge. Would excellent home run in the top of the night in the finale. Another late inning served by giants tadpole stem over the dodgers to win the series. Three one hold up though. Don't think i'm busy. Ignored affective buster posey and his twelve season is hitting greet swinney. What all basements in is over four hundred go with over nine fifty has a catcher and if you miss the series last week i've got great news for you. These same team started a brand new series on tuesday when the giants taking the first three games claiming the best record in the lee in a tough spot in west day by day. We're engine closer to the finish line of the season will pratap tapping every day. Now was setting up for dramatic finish to the season and which may teams all right. there shall reach in theory. Make some deals that could them to the top. This is exactly why we watched the game. We love baseball now. Bringing the closer here's why. Mlb is better than the nfl or nba. And it isn't even close reason. Number four hundred ninety five major league. Baseball is better than the nba am. Better than the nfl. Is that in detroit. They have started the countdown at comerica park the idea that yes miguel cabrera maguy has two big milestones clearly sight and there's a chance that fans could get to see him if they're lucky. So if you're at comerica park in like left feel they now have big signs up where they change every time he gets a home. If you reach either one of those you automatically get my hall of fame vote so there is something to be excited about in detroit even though the team has played much better of late but miguel.

"I i'll give you. I'll give you disappointment. I not perspective. And then i'll give you a surprise from a player perspective and to me it's just it's a minnesota twins you know. I think that they were on the off season. You know so. Many people thought that they were to be a team. And the white sox had a lot of juice and that in the al central people thought the white sock could would be there as well but the twins are really built to win now and you know the pitching was was always going to be a question. Mark like every team by the way pitching always going to be an issue but the pitching was kind of the one weakness but man. I did not see them. I mean getting out of the game slowly as they did and then just never been able to recover and that that to me that there were high expectations in minnesota to me. That's that's the biggest disappointment. The biggest surprise to me is shohei ohtani. I look we got a tip. Our caps to guy. I mean we. We've never seen anybody do anything like this. We were on the set going crazy last night. John smoltz myself only when he hit home. Run number thirty six four sixty three feet. I mean you know even multi state because some hoping for the longest. Has you know. There's a big. There's a big group of people who think he'd be better off being a closer if he's going to go hit every day but because they just don't you know the preparation that it takes to be a starter you know. A lot of people thought the hitting was just going to be too much. But even john i mean he cop last night he said look i was wrong and he said this is what this guy's doing is truly amazing. And i know a lotta people with. Oh babe ruth. But but what babe ruth did compared to what it. It's it's really night day. I mean this guy throws a hundred and he can turn around one hundred miles an hour and he's having so much fun doing it and you know i think we really gotta just kinda soak this in because we have never seen anything like this and you know. It's it's unbelievably special for him. It's probably no big deal because he's done in his entire life ever since you know as long as he's been planning over in japan but to come here and do this against the you know the best players and compete with the best players in the world i mean and be dominant starting pitcher and oh by the way one of the best hitters in baseball leads the league in slugging and homers. I mean it's it's it's not now. Is it historic. it's i. I don't know if we'll ever see it again. No doubt he. He's been unbelievable. Just as advertise and i know people weren't sure when they heard all the hubbub about him but we see it and he is a no doubt a stod. Hey friend thank you. So much for joining us on the podcast and continued success. Check them out franchise on mlb tonight on mlb network. Thanks hey now thank you. Thank you man you you you pave the way i mean you you you. You've been at this for a long time. I mean you continue to do great work and you know without rob parker. There's no franchises and want to say thank you for everything that you you've helped me throughout my career so big to you man. Thank you my man. That means a lot. thanks friend. it's time for the pocket. Protector centrum the analytic numbers. You need to know well. Maybe anthony masterson as his name. Bs analytics is gay. What do you got for me. Anthony with the trade deadline looming on friday. It's time for front offices to decide whether they're planning for baseball or golf. Come october comey thinking about some of the greatest deadline acquisitions and mlb history. Did you know only two players ever hit twenty plus homers for their new team after coming over and july trade mark. Maguire nineteen ninety-seven. The year before he broke rodriguez record. Hit twenty four for the cardinals but jd. Martinez blew him out of the water in two thousand seventeen going from detroit to arizona. Crushing twenty nine home runs in that time including four homer game at dodger stadium in september of that season. Also don't forget. Manny ramirez finished fourth in nl mvp voting in two thousand and eight after playing only fifty three games for the dodgers. Yes is twelve. Thirty two opie. Was that good on the mound. Was there ever a better deadline. Acquisition than the for the brewers in two thousand eight coming over from cleveland. So you went eleven into with a one sixty five. Era in seventeenth starts from milwaukee with a league leading seven. Complete games and three shutouts leading the brew crew to their first playoff berth in twenty-six years now time will tell anybody switching teams. This year will have that type of impact. That was a big week in the big leagues. Four is it fair and now from. Mlb bro dot com. Here's jr gamble. Jr is if foul or is it fair to say the dodgers should give up on. Trevor bauer returning this season and go after norm like max scherzer if they hoped to repeat as world series champions fair any hopes that the dodgers had trevor bauer returning before the play offs or even seasons end is dashed with the postponement of his recent court hearings. Nearly a month after the last pitch for the los angeles dodgers bauer appeared in los angeles superior court friday for a civil hearing in which was to contest at temporary restraining. Order filed against him by twenty-seven-year-old san diego woman and the pitches representatives were to review and defend him against sexual assault allegations. He won't be seeing a courtroom again until august so with that in mind. And the dodgers slugging it out with san francisco and the san diego padres for the division. They are definitely short. An ace in the rotation and over the long haul. It could dead their chances of repeating as world series. Champions if max scherzer is truly available the dodgers have no choice but to grab him up. He's probably an upgrade from bauer. If not at least as equal and he's battle-tested and the world series champion. Imagine shirts pitching on a team as talented as the dodgers. He's actually the perfect peace especially for the play offs because without bauer officers. The dodgers at hoping and praying for world series repeat and. I don't see it happening money into more money. Now it's time for betting on the basis with dave guests that money that money. Hey rob thank you very much a handful games. I'm looking at one in particular angels in as this game taking place though in anaheim patrick sandovol starting this ballgame the important note. He's coming off his last performance which he went eight and a third innings of no hit ball. Opposing side is crisp acid ten and three with a three forty six. Era omitted the angels in this one. Matchup put divisional opponents. Some taking the halos in this affair with patrick sandoval on the other one. I'm taking a peek at the san diego. Padres there at home against the colorado rockies. Rock is one of the worst teams at all major league baseball but they have a mere eleven wins on the road. This season. thirty seven losses ryan weather's versus john gray in that pitching matchup. Of course we stayed in the national league. West dodgers diamondbacks arizona's godawful the season. In fact going this ball game. Forty games under five hundred. I'm taking the los angeles dodgers in the victory in this when the spite fact. Mookie betts has been banged up cody bellinger batting sub. Two hundred they have enough offensive firepower in the pitching staff has been tremendous. La in the victory. When rob was the newspaper columnist he lived by this motto. If i'm writing i'm rippin. Gracious <Speech_Music_Female> me my car <Speech_Music_Female> has storm damage. <Speech_Music_Female> And i had to file <Speech_Music_Female> a claim <Speech_Female> could possibly <Speech_Female> get worse <Speech_Female> when my claims <Speech_Music_Female> team leave me <Speech_Music_Female> for someone <SpeakerChange> else. <Speech_Music_Male> Someone less <Speech_Music_Male> <Advertisement> intense. <Speech_Male> No <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> actually <Speech_Male> when you file a claim with geico <Speech_Male> you get your own <Speech_Male> dedicated claims team. <Speech_Male> Who promises <SpeakerChange> to <Speech_Male> stay with you throughout the <Speech_Female> <Advertisement> process. I've <Speech_Music_Female> <Advertisement> never known such <Speech_Music_Female> <Advertisement> loyalty. <Speech_Music_Female> <Advertisement> I can't <SpeakerChange> wait for <Speech_Music_Male> <Advertisement> the second season. <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> Geico <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> great service <Speech_Music_Male> <Advertisement> without all <SpeakerChange> the drama <Speech_Music_Male> <Advertisement> now <Speech_Music_Male> <Advertisement> bringing the closer <Laughter> guo raccoon. <Speech_Music_Male> <Speech_Music_Male> <SpeakerChange> <Speech_Music_Male> here's why. mlb <Speech_Music_Male> is better <Speech_Music_Male> than the nfl <Speech_Music_Male> or nba <Speech_Music_Male> and it isn't <Speech_Music_Male> even close. <SpeakerChange> <Speech_Music_Male> <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> Baseball <Speech_Male> is better than <Speech_Male> the nba and the nfl. <Speech_Male> And it ain't <Speech_Male> even close you <Silence> know why <Speech_Male> because <Speech_Male> coming up the trade <Silence> deadline <Speech_Male> hit and <Speech_Male> teams get a <Speech_Male> chance to make <Silence> their teams better. <Speech_Male> It doesn't <Speech_Male> happen that often <Speech_Male> and the other sports <Speech_Male> not in the nfl <Speech_Male> you make a trade <Speech_Male> midseason <Speech_Male> and you get the <Speech_Male> missing piece that <Speech_Male> you need to make <Speech_Male> a run in the playoffs. <Speech_Male> Same thing <Speech_Male> in the nba. <Speech_Male> They have a little <Speech_Male> bit better. Luck <Speech_Male> trades <Speech_Male> and getting players <Speech_Male> but definitely not <Speech_Male> the nfl but in major <Speech_Male> league baseball. <Speech_Male> You could be missing that <Speech_Male> second baseman <Speech_Male> or that leadoff <Speech_Male> hitter <Speech_Male> that <Speech_Male> handed arm out of the bullpen. <Speech_Male> Or whatever <Speech_Male> and teams <Speech_Male> that fall out <Speech_Male> of contention are willing <Speech_Male> to give <Speech_Male> those players up <Speech_Male> so you can <Speech_Male> have a team. That's pretty <Speech_Male> good but you <Speech_Male> like man. We need <Speech_Male> a second baseman <Speech_Male> man. We need this <Speech_Male> man. We need <Speech_Male> that and guess what <Speech_Male> at the trade <Speech_Male> deadline. You can <Speech_Male> make it happen. <Speech_Male> Make your team <Speech_Male> better and <Speech_Male> pick up a piece. <Speech_Male> That could possibly <Speech_Male> put your <Speech_Male> team over the top <Speech_Male> and give it <Speech_Male> a chance to <SpeakerChange> win a world <Speech_Music_Male> series <Music>

"As anybody even to graham who can't get past five innings that the mets are in first place. It's almost a disgrace that walker has been overlooked especially considering he's mlb. Bro and black pitches are rare as mlb gain with no one strikes out. There's so many young kids of color pitching. Aau right now would be so inspired to see him on the mound for the mid summer. Classic and boy does taiwan walker deserving the other pitches selected have decent numbers as well but we all know that walker along with his partner. Marcus stroman had been the saving grace for the first place mets in. It's sad that his aerobics are being. Looked ain't no way he doesn't make it it just ain't right take out the papers added. It's time for trash. Talk twitter your chance to trash anyone or anything in major league baseball. This week's trashier is devoured nez. Be senior better known as bright on twitter and he tweeted at me this at the chicago cubs. They are the buddhist of the booty. Wow yes if you want your tweet to make it on the podcast make sure you hit me up on twitter at rob parker f s one. When rob was the newspaper columnists he lived by this motto. If i'm writing i'm rippin. Let's bring in a writer. Broadcaster older new on now. Let's welcome to the podcast content. Report for mlb bro. Dot com league right. Who's in all in texas and covers a lot of our baseball down it down that way. And the all-star game is coming up melik next week in denver. A course feel but the big thing. Monday is the home run derby and we found out that want soto from the nationals joined. The derby makes an joey gallo from the rangers. While what do you know about. Joey jumping into this man. And i both how you doing rob joey one of the best power hitters in the game. we've known it since twenty sixteen down here in texas. We've seen him hit shots. Hit balls in places that nobody and of history of ever put on today. Today's game he went and deep quite why. They announced that he was going in the derby. I think he's very underrated and he's entering this contest today. He's instantly the favourite after entering his. He'd drake's better than otani. Who leads the major leagues with thirty one. Home run so you're going with the hometown guy instead of the best two way player. We've seen since babe ruth now look. I hope i'm wrong. And i hope otani shut me up. Whiskey has done all season. I had no expectation for otani to be the best player in baseball. Put up these. Mvp numbers ya. I mean he became the face of the game so he is able to win the home. Run derby. I think he just add to that that mantra g. is what they've been calling them lately. I mean the numbers. He's putting up his crazy. It's gonna be nice to see superstar in that game. I hope he's he's he's accessible and speaking of that to get the derby or the all star game. Which is your favorite. Some people love the homerun derby. I've seen some great ones over the last couple of years. I remember the judge comeback in miami couple others were guys have just gone off hitting home runs it and it's easy as it looks or you and all star game guy. The baseball all star game to me is still the best all-star game of all. Which one do you like. And why yes i. I liked the new format that they've used recently with the derby. What sort of the tournament bracket style. I feel like it's moved by quicker and made it a lot more interesting for the fans. But i more so enjoy the game. I enjoy things the best mater in the league. The best nature that you don't see matchups in the regular season you don't get to see my trout safe off against you. Darvish the san diego padres or joey. Gallo get to go against people from the marlene. We get to see a kunia next to try it it. It's nice to see all that in next to each other and getting to compete. So i like to gain more than the Serves i'll guess ismalic right. He is a content reporter for. Mlb bro dot com and baseball made a big decision. I just said the all star game is going to be chorus field in denver baseball. Move the all star game originally was supposed to be in atlanta some voter suppression rules and laws that went into effect baseball. Decide to pull the game. Where are you on this baseball. Make the right decision. I think baseball date make the right decision. And they're trying to bring a different audience to the game. But i think by moving here from atlanta they they show that They support sort that out now. The place timber colorado's. I think i know you're going to the game next week. It's going to be a show we're gonna get to see a home run derbies and the bad theater park in all of baseball and then we get to see the game the next day in the same part. I think we're going to get the same. Can we might get deeper homerun in the game. Then we get in the actual derby. So i'm actually glad to say. He decided to move to colorado. It's a beautiful city at that downtown. Beautiful place last thing you wrote a story on. Mlb bro dot com about the black players who were snob from the all star game. Who was do think the biggest player who got snobs and will not be in denver. If you put a gun to my head and make me choose one. I'm gonna say j p crawford and here have a one point. Four defensive war defensive run sage. that's the highest by far with between any position in all of baseball. He's getting it then there at the play who eighty nine batting average and nearly thirty. Rbi he's been the most consistent player on america's team that they had tall Last year's rookie of the year in data bring the offense but with lewis don down and the mariners deal with the fluid. Other injuries played in eighty four. Eighty five games. I think he should have been there representative. I also think that byron buxton could have got a few more votes Even though he's injured we also have mike trout with injured his plate and more games than try. His numbers are better than trial But ultimately i think they cropper tipping in denver. I dare melik reich follow his stuff on. Mlb bro dot com. Thank you welcome. Rob enjoy timber next week. Good afternoon would you like to try a free. Sample of our double fudge brownie. Oh sure that's very good. I'll just take one more chance to be sure. Yep still very good. Some things never change like never being able to take just one free sample and geico saving folks. Lots of money on their car. Insurance is that macadamia nut. I taste you can take one more sir. I thought so fifteen minutes could save you fifteen percents or more to show you how easy it is to.

Das- is now with the detroit tigers and he debuted on june tenth but the following night. Talk about your first major league home. Run a two run home run in the bottom of the night to tie game and send it into extra innings. How proud were you of that moment. No moments right there man so special because i know what it feels like. I know it if you have like you know for him to have that opportunity into actually Have some success at a moments that most people don't think that you guys are ready for whatever may be and so just the fact that he got an opportunity do that man and To help his team win ballgames in itself. It builds confidence in the players and Obviously you know the only thing i can tell them is like how proud of them. Because i know. I know what it's like. I know what it feels like. And i'm happy that he had some successful moments But obviously the bigger picture of the of the processes growth and opportunity growth in the game to find out if you can become that everyday players That your skill set so that you have so you know. I'm i'm so happy for him that he's getting opportunity. Now i'm happy day. You know univ- spurs homeless It's basically You know pitcher team up Against one best clothes in the league So i know it feels. It feels a lot of companies than you and understand that yields and planned to do it awful in detroit. That's that's a lot about you know the ability that you have with the no doubt about it. His name is mike cameron. The former major league center fielder mike man. We appreciate you on the podcast. Best of luck to your son and his baseball career. Thank you so much. I income rob. It's time for the pocket. Protector centrum the analytic numbers. You need to know well. Maybe anthony masterson is his name. Bs analytics is gay. What do you got for me. Anthony all star rosters were announced this past weekend. It any surprise that shohei ohtani made headlines again. He became the first player in. Mlb history voted into the game as both a pitcher and a hitter. Oh and will be competing in the homerun derby in denver as well just absurd stuff thirty. Four first-time all-stars as of the reserves announcement. This past sunday pushes the total number of all stars. Mlb history to one thousand nine hundred and to making show his achievement even more amazing in my opinion even though there are only two rookies currently on the roster youth is definitely served as vladimir guerrero junior at twenty two became the youngest player to be the league's leading vote getter by the fans and the youngest to start at first base since george boomer scott in one thousand nine hundred sixty six in the other league fernando totti's junior also twenty two his twenty seventh home run a monday night pushing his at bat per home run ratio to a tick over nine. That is the lowest by any. Nfl players in some guy named barry bonds. Back in two thousand four. He'll get his first. Start on tuesday at coors on the other end the yankees are all this cabin as era over twenty two twenty two in his last nine outings pushing his season era to four point seven one. That's the highest by any all star pitcher in fifteen years even with chapman slide. Baseball's best will be fully on display in denver next week taiwan walker of the mets didn't make the all star team despite basically carrying the pitching staff this season especially as jacob. Degrom has missed some starts with nagging injuries. Walker kept the mets in first place in the national league with dominant performances and which he had gone deep in games. Jr is it foul or fair to say that walker was a clear all star snob in twenty twenty one fair fair ball. I'm not one to complain about all star snubs because every year. There's someone who gets off. That is probably more worthy than someone who was put on usually from a very bad team just to satisfy this ridiculous role that everyone must be represented but taiwan walk up. The mets has clearly been a top-five pitcher probably in baseball season. In addition to that he's been the mets most consistent in available pitcher as jacob. Degrom has been in and out with injuries at miss some starts. The mets didn't miss a beat because of walker who was currently top ten. Era and wins for team has been offensively in that so we have seen with each of his starts. If you have is that he has been pitching under pressure the coming through every time. And he's the workhorse going seven innings often and he's been a big reason as anybody even to graham who can't get past five innings that the mets are in first place. It's almost a disgrace. That walk has been overlooked especially considering. He's an nlp. Bro and black pitches are as rare as mlb gain with no one strikes out. There's so many young kids of color pitching. So does bans Some some teams that can can can actually kill you with the lion boss but What's taking place now You know we're parts of the game now that people don't assume or to think minutes deemed worthy now which i don't understand because when the baseball us every incentives Every aspect of the again in order to try to win ballgames. And i think he's been shown the way now our like no doubt. I'm with you guys who strike out as much as they do would have been sent down to the minor leagues years ago and nobody even bats an eye. It's it's it's amazing mike Let me ask you about your saen. Dazhong centerfield afoot of detroit tigers and has off to a good start. I know he just got injured. A big toe is on the injured list for ten days. But when did when did you know he had a chance to make it to the major leagues. Because when i was in detroit covering cecil fielder and his son was in little league he was telling me like my key can play man. He's hitting home runs. I think he's gonna make it to the big leagues. And i was like this is just like a prowl. Dad bragging about his kid you know. I really didn't know prince was going to be that good. When did you know das- was to it to the big leagues To be honest with you. I just don't know you know. I know that he was really good at a young age. You know you just see big league baseball. I mean a part of it is like skilled and part of it is luck. Part of it is probably just opportunity at the most But he's been around the game especially from the thirteen on up. "Covers money into money. Now it's time for betting on the basis with dave gas guy. Love that money money rob. What's up man. We'll look if things on a friday as we get into the weekend dodgers and braves in the at l. Who reassess going for los angeles in this one that is why like the dodgers for two different reasons. One reas has been fantastic this season. You can look at walker bueller of course. Trevor bauer even clayton kershaw but arenas has been superb seven and two record three sixty one. Era and that's despite the fact that is rubbed up in his last outing against the san francisco giants where he went five innings and got tagged up a little bit but i look for him to bounce back from taking the dodgers and the money line to win this one in atlanta red sox and yankees also going to get things under way from the bronx. I'm taking the over in this ball game just because the offensive firepower. It's evident for both teams. The pitching has not been stellar alike. The over in this heated matchup between american league east rivals. The other one i do. Like milwaukee brewers biggest reason for this is not because of what they do. But it's because with arizona cannot do wanna worst teams at all major league baseball brett anderson versus matt peacock in the pitching matchup. I am taking. The milwaukee brewers at home and american family field for the win in that affair. That's it i'm out. It's time for trash. Talk twitter your chance to trash anyone or anything in major league baseball. This week's trask comes. From at the governor he tweets that me. I'm trashing the mets for not being able to ever score for degree from and you know what at the garner is right. It is unbelievable. How the mets. Bats don't work whenever jacob degrom is on the mound. This guy has been unbelievable. Era under one and yet it's hard for him to get wins if you want your tweet to get on. The podcast hit me up at rob parker f s one and yes. You can trash anything anyone in the world. The baseball when rob was newspaper columnist he lived by this motto. If i'm writing i'm rippin. Let's bring in a writer of broadcaster older new all now. Let's welcome into the program job. Paul morosi of course fox. Mlb insider john. Paul welcome to the podcast rob. I am doing great. my friend. Hope you do well to what a great time of year. Nba play-offs nhl playoffs. Of course major league baseball love this time of year. My friends no doubt about it told me you know what i'm still scratching my head about the tampa bay rays you know. They keep getting rid of stood pitchers right and they just keep winning. They wanted unbelievable streak of sixteen out of seventeen. How were they doing. what am i missing. And why are they good. Well robert. it's a great question. And what i would say is this. The rays have been very job at at the committee approach to pitching but it only works when they have a tremendous as leading the way right. Now that as is is tyler glass. Now is some of the best in baseball and we talk so much really. They were ahead of time with the opener of course but let's not forget what happened when they started the opener. They had blake snell as a cy young award winners he is what made the whole thing work. And now you have the ability to balance things out with glass now pitching and now richhill richaud. Forty one years young..

"Learn which so good. Now let's welcome to the program and it's kind of fitting because it's nba playoff season. Let's welcome former. Nba guard eddie house. Who won a championship with the celtics in two thousand and eight but for people who don't know played baseball loves baseball and loves to talk about it. Thanks for joining the podcast. Eddie anytime brother. You already know no doubt fernando tat tatis. Junior was named al player of the month. How much do you enjoy watching this guy play baseball. Why the reason why i enjoy the most is because he. He's a new school baseball player. He throws all the old Unwritten rules out the window He wants to have fun Playing baseball and i think at times you know you you stick with those unwritten rules. It can become boring at times you know. I like to see some life in baseball. Like to see you know god go back and forth. You know trevor. Bauer even applauded him. Like hey you know what. He didn't like the fact that he took a look down at at the signing looks like but he didn't mind him with the the the the way he ran around the bases or how he switched to bad is that i think that's a new age of baseball. I think it should continue to go that way as long as it's respectful. You know within the game nothing personal but within the gang. I think he's great for the game. I agree. I love watching the guy play. He's on turning the tv on. You know a gotta see him Let's talk about your oakland. Go up in the bay area. Ricky henderson was your favorite player growing up and the they're going to win the division again. I mean You know they're leading the al wes but they've had trouble turning that into the playoffs. History was saying that this is who they are and you know me and my pot we talk all the time about the as and the reason why they can't get through playoff series and he came up with something he said something to me and it started kind of resonated started making a whole lot of sense where team built for the regular season..

Employers aim for hybrid working after Covid-19 pandemic - How will it work?

"Exactly a year ago the pandemic forces all out of the office and our studios and sent us working from home. Well we were setting up our at home audio booths. A lot of other people around the world were setting up their at home offices and it soon became clear that we'd need some long term solutions for that not just laptop stacked on top of piles of books. So that's when we turn to our senior personal tech columnist to anna stern and some of you may remember. We had a regular segment with her on the task of working from home now a year later. Were hoping that our days of working remotely are numbered but even when we do reach the other side of the pandemic a slew of companies have announced that they aren't expecting employees to go back to work in the same way as in the pre pandemic days. The new buzzword is hybrid. But what does that mean exactly. Well who better to answer that question. Then of course joanna stern. She's back with us today. Joanna so great to have you here so good to be back all right so right now. It's me sellin my home studio you and your home office. But we're all excited to get some more real facetime in person you've been talking to a bunch of companies. What are they saying about this idea of hybrid work. What does that mean. They are all saying the word hybrid hybrid hybrid hybrid hybrid work. It means that you will work some time at home and time at the office and the analysts are saying that the brunt of people want this people want to work sundays at home. And there's a magic number. Two days i heard the number two to three days so many times in reporting this story everyone is saying we'll spend two to three days at the office or two to three days at home. You pick the number of days so that so bad fifty fifty give or take. Let's talk about what that's going to look like many of us work in open offices. How are those gonna change with this hybrid model so it definitely depends on your organization and how they plan to shake things up and move the spaces around but knowing that we might spend two to three days at home. It doesn't make sense for many of these companies to have permanent desk space for everybody. So that's why there are these new models of thinking about what the the office space will look like and go through. What i think are three ways. This could look at your company. One is same old right. Nothing changes you. Actually go back to your old desk. Maybe there's some more distance between you and your colleague that's nice you don't get the smell them smell bad anymore. It's great the other idea. This is number two which is becoming really popular because of that point that not. Everyone should have their own desk because not everyone's going every day. Is this idea. And i promise you. This is not my term in. It's horrible turam hot Hosking means that you don't have an assigned test you come in you get a new desk you leave you come in another day. You have a different desk and again it makes sense because not everyone is in on the same day. One of the people i spoke to for the story is the ceo of salesforce joanne. All saskia and she explained to me how they are moving to that model. Everyday you come in you find with your team if you want or you know wherever whoever you might be working with you grab a desk in there you go. And we have a crew that comes in at night and they reset the monitors and reset chairs reset standing desks. So the next day when you come in is completely clean completely sanitized. So we're already doing that will now. We're going to do that with most of our spaces and then the third one is really a big change and it's no desk. You have no desk. You're really just going to the office to collaborate with people to go to meetings and companies are doing. This dropbox is one of them. They are calling their their new spaces. Dropbox studios really call it in office anymore. And you just go in you have meetings you collaborate you bond with your colleagues and then you go home and you work from home most of the time. So let's talk about that working from home piece. We've all gotten pretty used to our at home. Setups how is this hybrid. Model going to change those. What are some of the new challenges. I think the big when we have to think about is that we're going to be bringing stuff back and forth and back and forth a lot laptops other. Techy wanted home. Or you want at. The office headphones microphones that kind of stuff. In some cases you won't bring it and you will have a situation at your office where you can keep some of it there but i think in some cases you really are going to want to drag that stuff back and forth because you might only have one of them or you like the thing that you use. Some companies are getting creative about how employees get the extra tech might need. Here's sales for ceo. Joanna subscale again. We provide any role that they need so they want an external keyboard they can have asked. They want mouse. They can have that they. Just get it out of the the vending machine. I need a keyboard and outcomes a keyboard. Did she say vending machines yes. She said vending machines and at salesforce. Unlike some other offices that we may work in. You don't get stale cookies or you. Don't get stale doritos. You've met computer peripherals and it's pretty simple. This is just a way for the it department not to be constantly responding to requests. That i need a new mouse or need a new headset. You're in the salesforce offices. They have vending machines. They're inside there. You go you swipe your card you get it and you don't pay for it. This is this is all free. Means like you're getting it from the department at another nice thing at salesforce to is that once you've gotten these peripherals they give you a cubby or locker to put your stuff in so you don't necessarily have to keep dragging back and forth your keyboard or your mouth your headset. You have it in your space at work. You got home. You have your home setup you come to work you grab your peripherals. You set them up. Got it okay. So that's the tech side of things but what about just communication. I mean we've been doing so much communication online. If some people are in the office some people are at home. How's that going to work. The biggest mistake you can make is thinking that you're going to go back to the office and you're not going to be video calling anymore. Don't think terry okay. And i spoke at length with the ceo of logitech about this name is bracket daryl and he knows a thing or two. About webcams impersonal. Webcams are going to continue to be important in enabling conference to superport. You've got Dynamic where it's hard to imagine going to the office for so many companies didn't have a lot of your neighbor rooms where you go by yourself. Do video call with few people do small group. It's hard to imagine video neighboring those rooms especially when it's so affordable. Obviously logitech is very excited about this because this is their business. Everyone has tried to buy a webcam from logitech in the last year. But other companies have said this to me to zoom. Told me this microsoft. Lots of companies webcams everywhere. Okay so we've talked about video calls but we're using technology for a lot of other communication that we would have done in person before right we've been using slack teams google products to collaborate. What's in store for us on that front. Yeah i mean you have to think about it as we're actually all remote workers now even when we're at the office because not everyone is going to be at the office with us. So that means we have to lean on things like slack and microsoft teams or whatever. Your company uses more to communicate because we're all going to be distributed and so slack in these companies are specifically trying to look at their products and change their products to help with this hybrid. Model slack is working on one feature. They told me about where you can send a video message to the entire team so instead of having to do constant video calls someone on your team can put out one short video clip to everyone in the in the channel and say something so everyone on the same page about it and again that cuts down on the friction of. Hey you said something in the office but the other person wasn't in the office and they missed what you said so. It's really important. The other thing that i'm excited about that they're coming out with is kind of like a audio drop in conference call thing that will let you create an audio call and have other other people jump in. I like to think of it as clubhouse but in slack google's doing a lot in this space to they've added some functionality to work space which includes all their collaboration tools like meat and doc slides etc. One feature. That i think is really important. Is this ability to set your status and let people know where you are ahead of. Google workspace aerosol. Tarot also gave me in scope on how they're planning to beef up. Google docs and this is something that we're going to be delivering this year and we started to introduce. How do you move from. The collaboration experienced made us famous. So the idea that we can all jump in and be the dueling curse into to say. Hey let's enrich that and go from like dueling pursers with names to faces and voices that live alongside the document. That's like a marriage of google meat and google docs right. Yeah i'm i'm pretty excited about it. I mean sometimes. I don't necessarily want my editor yelling at me. When he's editing a my script but at least you know everyone is right you. You know what. They're what they're working on and whether they are actually Looking at the documents. I think that's pretty cool. Said like a true boss. Qatari all right. So what about the home office side of things. How are our home. Office is going to be changing the going forward. I don't think they change much. I think if you've set up a really nice office you're going to keep working there and you're gonna wanna keep working there. Some of the companies and the large companies. I spoke to talked about continuing to make employees feel comfortable in their home offices which means nice stipend survived tech or furniture. Obviously the ceo of logitech is pretty excited that we're going to continue to improve our home

Lead and Discover Your Purpose from Your Job Dr. Michael Colburn - burst 12

"In my view. Productivity is the ability to make choices. That's the fundamental piece. Going back to stephen covey remember steven kevi. Gosh circle of so. So he said there's a circle of of of concern visual things. That's all the stuff that's going on in our world around us. You know it could be your job or just in in the world and some of the stuff there that you feel kind of difficult or are frustrated because there's a lot of stuff going on you can't do anything about right. Stephen also talked about. There's a smaller circle in there. It's called a circle of influence. That's the stuff that you care about to you that you can do something about so what i found. Because that's the first chapter my book. I find what happens when you find yourself in a situation where you can't do anything about it. Apparently where you feel like you can even make choices. So there's three fundamental questions. We have to ask. Not what is wrong. Why why do i feel so bad. I can't do anything. So what is it you care about. That's causing you this frustration. I care about my children. I care about success of the organization. I care about a whole bunch of stuff. Then the second question is a powerful question. So what can you do about that. J. people can always answer that question. I always say a small can is better than a big cannot. So then what happens is and i tell stories in my book about that and then the third question which is the most powerful question after that is of all the cans. What will i do. And i think the word will is powerful because that that is ownership and slow by going from the frustration to the can to the will you can. You can translate things into into action. And that's a powerful feeling. You have and what happens is when i do that because i get the same feelings. Everybody else when i do that it. It tends to remember that cubby circle it tends to make that circle of influence grow. Here's the thing about those three questions. And i loved these three questions and i hope people wrote these down and i'm going to review them again but i think one of the things that happens in these three questions that we dashed against cider circle of influence that first question. What do i care about. I think you've gotta get honest first of all with that and even if it sounds selfish you have got to be honest with you. Say you know what. I care about a care about me and what i want. And if that's i think it's you have to get down to that level of honesty being able to look at yourself. I mean that's what it is. What it is right. And so i mean we we. I think we have to. We have to be really honest with you if you're if you care about money and that's what you care about. Then that's what you care about. This isn't we're not talking about something. Bigger and magnanimous that is ethereal and out there. We're talking about just being. Okay what is it that you really care about. And then what can i do. I think this is a place where they gotta get on his too because they short side themselves so quickly because they immediately go well. There's nothing because they get their migdal gets hijacked in the middle of the brain their emotions take over and the go. There's nothing i could do nothing. I can do nothing. I'm stuck here right. That's not the question. The question is what can you do. Rate and people shot down. I have had clients coaching clients. Who you know. We'll say throw up their arms there. I don't know what to do anymore. And i'll say well what can you do. I can't do anything it's like. It's a reflex action. Well that's why the first questions important it have a real discussion about. What's really important to you. What you really care about. And and i really find that deep down people feel bad about ninety year old person deep down on people unless you have some really deep psychological problems right people can discover something beyond themselves and and what happens is the per- the person who says well only care about money. What they have is a very small universe around them right circle. Is it it off three feet from them. And and i'm not sure if someone is in that situation i can help them much At that point except to have them think through a had them question your own values right. So how does that make you

The stigma around COVID can be as dangerous as the virus

"Every country in the world is grappling with the covert epidemic. Some much better than others. In many of those countries stigma around the disease plays a very important role in India. Stigma is directed at Muslims in Haiti at orphanages in Spain at Italians and in the US at asian-americans stigma related to disease his not new and in the US. It goes back hundreds of years. Those who are infected are considered to be part of an outside group and they have been blamed ostracized and often brutally attacked for simply getting sick. Geneva is in North Africa compared to other North African or African countries. We have one of the oldest population with a population of twelve million. To Nisha has one of the best healthcare systems in Africa with well trained health providers but few hospital beds and very few intensive care units so public health and testing need to play a large role in controlling the spread of Kovic. My name is Gibert BELKA KOREA. Young Damien continues. Yeah working For the Institute Jaber is concerned that the public response to co VID has turned into a blame game. We have fighting a virus year. We non fighting people what we seeing right now. The message about Kobe is more about foreign train. People that have the disease as bad people highlighting gators and saying hey the virus or the diseases coming from these neighborhoods. When people are scared it is human nature to want to blame others and create a narrative of outside bad people causing the problem. It is their fault. My family or my community would never have caused this problem by being portrayed as bad people are scared. That basically makes him hide. And we've seen that with other diseases that has to beg colossus or or HIV. Basically people don't WanNa get tested or portrayed as cubby positives in in their communities or in the neighborhoods but when people don't get tested it's hard to control the disease and we can't know about hot spots and we can't do contact racing and individual suffer as well. Jaber told me about one example. He found particularly upsetting burying. Gubbay positives agents or Ned evil. Some communities refuse to have burials in noticing. Theories scored It's it's it's human rights. I mean if it's done properly. It knows no risk. Stigma itself is like a virus. The fear that drives it is contagious. It's absolutely gear driven by giving the correct information. We can remove that fear. Remove that stigma and no the movie This virus from the comed- once we find a way to manage Kovic nineteen and we will. It would be too bad if we eliminate the virus but are left with the plague of stigma.

The Incredible Singing Tortoise

"The incredible singing tortoise once upon a time on a stormy afternoon Zane was hurrying home from school he had just found out it was his turn for show and tell on. Friday and his brain world with ideas of what to bring. He was so busy thinking that he forgot his coat in his cubby. The cold rain slipped over his hair down the back of his neck making him shiver can't wait to get home and dry off. He muttered. Maybe I'll even have a mug of cocoa. He turned to take a shortcut through the woods. Under the trees. The rain fell in a slower. Pit Pat but when the wind blew the branches shook and soaked him underfoot the mud sucked at his shoes with a wet slurping. Sounds maybe two cocoa's he grumbled then cocked. His head had he heard something. He froze listening to the gentle sounds of rain filtering through the forest finally from off in the woods. He heard a soft voice that bow. Scooby Doo Doo. Wow already indeed dining out but he do scuba. Zane heared into the trees. He in a forest really. It was just a strip of woods between a house and a bunch of condos. There wasn't space for anyone to be hiding. Not unless they were buried in the fallen leaves. Maybe somebody dropped their phone. He said thinking of the Joggers who always breezed by listening to music. Zane stepped off the path towards the singing. His feet squelching through the mud. Or maybe it's an old toy. He thought. Perfect for show Intel. He hunted around by his feet. Where is it? He said searching his arms and legs were soon soaked as he waded into the wet leaves. Come on play another song. Do I do as he knew that. Zane pushed aside another branch. Found not a phone but anomaly little tortoise the creature seem to smile up at him and then sang another bar. Zane fell back onto his but in the mud. What how he said you can sing. I can sing. The Tortoise said Zan's jaw dropped. And you can talk and I can talk. She agreed but I usually don't talking tortoise. Is that more impressive than a singing tortoise. Why she asked caulking her leathery head but it definitely is Zane. Said I'm Zine what's your name. Hi My name is Alicia Alicia. You have to come with me for show Intel this Friday show and tell no thank you. I don't like crowds. I'm really pretty shy. She said pulling her head back into her shell a little. You don't seem shy. Zane said he stood up and dusted himself off still staring at her amazed. Well said the Tortoise I see you walking home alone here every day so I figured I don't mind if you hear did did you like it. It was great. I had no idea. Zine said seriously. I thought that it was someone's phone playing like spotify or something in the mud a leash. The tortoise smiled. Well thank you. She said have a good day. She turned and started to walk back into the leaves. Wait no Zane said chasing after her. You're singing turtle you have to come with me. I need to show everyone for show and tell well. I'm a tortoise turtle leashes said and I'd really rather not show anyone else. It's kind of a private thing com on. He said you showed me. I need to show my sister. At least she's GonNa lose her mind. No thanks she said. I'll see you another time. No no Zane said holding up his hands wait here. He turned and ran the rest of the way home. He burst into his front door and skidded into the kitchen where his older sister was putting peanut butter on some crackers. Tayla he said scaring her so badly. The crackers went flying. You need to come see this. He clutched her by the wrist and started dragging her to the front door. Come on come on come on Zeno what she sputtered following him out the door. What are you doing? Where are we going saying my crackers? Just come on. It's worth it. I promise they got to the little strip of woods and stood in the middle of the path. The Rain Patter down and the mud-stained their sneakers. And why did you drag me out here Taylor asked wait? Just listen? They stood together in silence for a moment. Then a minute then to okay. I'm going back inside your own Weirdo. No come on Taylor turned and hurried away. Eager to be out of the rain. Zane watched her leave for a few minutes and then side turning to follow

Where you'll check in immediately when we got to the place it made us feel at home? We got there at a later in the day. We were there at dinner and we all sat down to dinner and while we were waiting for dinner. They gave us a quick neck massage. While we were getting manning served so pretty interesting the rooms. We were very very impressed with the room. They're really nice. They can have either a king size bed. Ed or double beds Our Room had a nice couch in it. It was a desk spacious so we could lay out all of our stuff. Also Our Room had double sinks in the bathroom very very nice room. The rooms also had a deck associated winning which are sheltered and they had a ceiling fan on top of the deck. A nice place to dry your bathing suits out or some gear. Plus there was a lounge chair out on the on the deck area. Now I did notice that some of the decks also had hammocks on them. Let's talk about the food to Tokyo. Restaurant is outstanding. All Nippon Airways Showcases New Seats

"Was that a vendetta. It was great. It was really great. It was right off brick lane in this event space which I had never been to before and they they had these sort of makeshift Goethe's wonderful pagodas you know as wonderful kind of arch ways that they have in Japan the they're usually read the gates thank you. That's the word I was looking for and in the middle of this space on a elevated platform they had a block of the four seats when they had many many many flight attendants in attendance to kind of brief you on how the seats work and the seats are oriented as a block for much like the Q. Sweets there facing each other okay the two seats and I was able to experience it they had the full power connected and the IFP say you could try it. It was very very very impressive. It was really really wide. CA's reminds me of the pictures of the Singapore Airlines that White Yeah if if not wider yeah yeah so you feel like you're in a sofa at home when you're sitting upright the whole thing isn't that why the Footwell tapers to allow for the other person's cubbies and cabinets that you have to your side as well. The screen is is huge crystal clear and the seat itself the padding which you see the as the seat is reclining. You can see how thick it is really really thick seat very very comfortable. The one thing I noticed that I sent to you immediately was if you sit straight and you recline the seat straight. There's no way that I could fit let alone somebody like you. It's it's very very short but then in all of the images the presages they have you can see the person sleeping at an angle and actually when I did that so I moved my head to the adjacent corner that my feet where plenty of runs so again like Singapore because Singapore I would unless I'm bulkhead but even I would usually sit in a diagonal would not sit up straight and the good thing since we're comparing that to that three hundred the old seat now is that he actually so reclines whereas the Singapore seats you had to stand up all aww yet to fold it. Oh that's good that's good what about the door is at high the doors High Yup and it and it comes across in like in the two sections that close together you felt very very private and secluded when you were in the even with a million people walking around you and a lot of noise oviously at an event it does oppose skies so the manufacturer is not the one from the queue sweet although there are of a billion ways to do a seat into fitted in dark ref at the end another day but the manufacturer is completely different and you had the chance to also meet the designer of the seat yes he was going to forget the name of the he built the Tokyo Auguin early this year and he also built the a a in Dundee as y'all which is an extraordinary building a very famous Japanese architect enables alludes because of course thank you yeah. He was very very nice very interested would speak to anybody not that you know that he would never wise but yeah he was he was proud of and he partnered with a London design agency to do and I must say that one of my criticisms of the previous was that it was very clinical lots of metal. Will we said that a lot of time and you know and that absolutely not the case anymore. They've kept however some of the blue color it kept the blue. It's it's much more understated understated it. It's it's an accent but it's it's beautifully done. It's very Japanese very a it's a very very strong seat. They're going to you really well with this what they didn't show or didn't have because it's rolling a little bit. Slower is the new first class yeah I said in the last ZIP is it that for me. It reminds me a little bit of the Swiss first-class which is very large cubicle elitest door. Were you able to even bits a bit like or none of the video playing and I was chatting to one of the cabin crew about it and she said that the news it has a forty three inch four K. screen TV. You'RE GONNA give you two and I said are you sure and then she showed me a brochure brochure of it and sure enough. I should never have huge the seat itself is is beautiful as well. It's lovely gray. They made saga job gets darker than the than the one in in business class which is often the case in Japan. If you cajoled they have darker colors I glass including the lounges compared to Business Glasgow Glasgow. Wow I mean holy cow. So are they not introducing because the reason you had that event was the two things they are opening the route with that seat now from London to two hundred but also I think it was celebrating may be used so that maybe I'm wrong. I'm not sure it was a thirty. That's rare anniversary running of the route. Yeah Yeah Okay so yeah. It was great. I met a few people that I've worked with a in the past who are really friendly. Johnny from the design air turns out he was there I didn't I didn't see him which is which is disappointing. I wish shame yeah cross pass but I think he he was as impressed as I was so it's a it's a great. I don't think you can go wrong in that route because a anna have a very good product obviously and so two gel so expensive however they are not but no one is no one is no no one no one is no one

It's pretty adorable. He looks like he's now. He's saying alibi with all his eyes and ears. It's like something Anada country.
