The Café Bitcoin Podcast
A highlight from U.S. Economy from "stable" to "negative" with Neely Tamminga + Preparing for the Upcoming Bull-Run with Joe Carlasare and American Hodl - November 13th, 2023
"Hello, and welcome to the Cafe Bitcoin Podcast brought to you by Swan Bitcoin, the best way to buy and learn about Bitcoin. I'm your host, Alex Dancic, and we're excited to announce that we're bringing the Cafe Bitcoin conversation from Twitter Spaces to you on this show, the Cafe Bitcoin Podcast, Monday through Friday every week. Join us as we speak to guests like Michael Saylor, Lynn Alden, Corey Clifston, Greg Foss, Tomer Strohleit, and many others in the Bitcoin space. Also be sure to hit that subscribe button. Make sure you get notifications when we launch a new episode. You can join us live on Twitter Spaces Monday through Friday, starting at 7 a .m. Pacific and 10 a .m. Eastern every morning to become part of the conversation yourself. Thanks again. We look forward to bringing you the best Bitcoin content daily here on the Cafe Bitcoin Podcast. All right, good morning to all of you Cafe Bitcoiners. It is Monday, November 13th, and you guys can probably hear my slack snapping off here. Let me mute that shit. Sorry about that. Monday, November 13th, 2023, and it is another awesome day. Looking forward to the week in Bitcoin. Once again, why are all these Bitcoiners so goddamn excited all the time? It's disgusting. What's wrong with you people? You know, I remember when you first started doing Spaces, Alex, and this is before I had extensive experience with Slack, and I could hear it going off all the time in the background. Every time we were having those Spaces discussions in the morning, I was just like, what in the hell are you picking up? My fault. My bad. Morning macro. Oh, sorry. How's it going, guys? I hope everybody had a good Veterans Day weekend, too, by the way. It was fantastic. I worked my ass off. That's all right, though. Good stuff. Good stuff. Good morning, Terrence. Bright and early. On a Monday at like 7 o 'clock in the morning. What's wrong with you people? Macro. Good morning, Peter. Good morning, Jacob. Shout -outs to Dr. Jeff, Joe Carlosari, in the audience. Obviously, we're throwing you guys invites, but you're welcome to just chill. Whatever. It's all good. So apparently, Bitcoin has taken a slight pause from its vertical acceleration and Bitcoiners are attacking each other once again. That didn't take long. Anyway, welcome to Cafe Bitcoin, episode 475. Shout -outs to our supporters on Fountain and Nosternes. By the way, when I say signal, I'm not trying to say it's just my signal. We're looking for the signal. Some people are like, eh, never let us on stage at Cafe Bitcoin. It's an opinion, all right? It's an opinion. It's an opinion. If I don't think your signal is that great, then maybe we might not let you on. I'm not sorry for that. Like we're here to provide signal. And yeah, it's a judgment call and yeah, you might think your signal is more important and that's fine. I'm not mad at that. I'm not even judging you. In fact, here's, Jacob and I were just talking about this earlier. I don't even disagree with you on many things. Some people are like, well, this issue is really important. You guys don't talk about it. It's like, it is really important. Totally agree with you, actually. What I don't agree with is complaining about stuff that you have no solution for, or if you're not building a solution for something. Like if you're building something and it's a solution, we will invite you on this stage and you can talk about it. But if all you're doing is whinging and complaining, like why are we going to waste everybody's time with that nonsense? Am I wrong? Am I out of line here? Serious question. No, you're not out of line and whinging is a good word. I think more people need to use it. Yeah, mewling. I love that word too, mewling, whinging, meh, meh, um, okay. Good morning, Mickey Koss. For today's show, we're going to talk about, apparently BlackRock is launching an Ethereum ETF, or they're applying to anyway. We're going to do a spot Bitcoin ETF approval update this week, maybe. And Joe Carlosari is welcome to come up here and give us his views on that. Otherwise we'll just read his tweets out loud. I got no shame with that. What else? Oh, ICBC, which is one of the largest banks in China, was apparently cyber ransomed last week. That's a thing. So maybe we'll talk about that a little bit. Here's an interesting little factoid. Every $6 ,313 move above $29 ,586 is a billion dollars for micro strategy. Wow. Well, indeed. But the naysayers are going to say every $3 ,360 move down is minus a billion dollars for micro strategy. I was just about to say, I could see the articles now as it drops from $100K to $95K, they'll be just, you know, slamming micro strategy. Meanwhile he's sitting there like up thousands of percent. It's completely absurd, but it'll continue. Just buy Berkshire Hathaway. It's better than Bitcoin. Anybody can buy it. Are you slamming Dear Point? No, I would never do that. Nate, you're so crystal clear this morning. You must be stationary and not driving anywhere. I'm using the updated desktop. They've improved it dramatically. And you aren't driving anywhere. That too. You can't raise your hand, but it is working pretty well. Okay. Question. Are you on Windows or Mac? I'm on Windows 10 or 11 and I forget what number it is. You can't raise your hand on Mac either. You can't raise your hand and can you do emojis? I can do a lot of emojis. A lot of emojis, wow. Like a thousand at a time, apparently. So are you retired now, Nate? For the most part, yeah. I love your story, man. For those of you who don't know, Nate's been hanging around, you know, he's been coming around Cafe Bitcoin for a couple of years now and back in the day, since it started and back in the day, back in them, Nate used to roll around as a, as a truck driver, if I understand correctly, saving his money, stacking sets, man, no, I, I, the reason I people double to check whatever wallet you plan on using and do never, ever, ever, ever enter your keys into a digital device that is connected to the internet. It involves your terminal and just copy and paste. Yeah. Yeah. There's, there's a, there's a path or an FAQ on how to do it on sparrow. Once, once you go to download it, it's how to verify right below it. So please take the time to learn. Um, yeah. And don't lose your Bitcoin.

"Businesses that rely on the ski season continue to bide their time waiting for mother nature. Stevens Pass, for example, has had to delay the start of season again. Of course, Paul Rivera spoke with commish sky mayor Henry Sladek, who also owns a hotel in town. We really need to have it by the middle of December before Christmas break starts. That's that's kind of the the real real real gold. Stevens Pass isn't the only spot that is affected. Those with the summit at Snoqualmie say there isn't enough snow to announce an opening yet. And just a reminder, CoinDesk is a news source and does not provide investment advice. Now a markets roundup. After the hectic activity at the end of last week as markets reacted to BlackRock's filing of an EtherSpot ETF proposal, the weekend seemed like an oasis of calm. So far today, the market looks mixed. According to Coindesk Indices, at 9 a .m. Eastern Time this morning, Bitcoin was down two thirds of a percent over the past 24 hours, trading at $36 ,873. Ether was up one third, trading at $2 ,059. Elsewhere, Filecoin was up 14%, Cosmos was up 10%, Optimism and the Lido DAO token were up 5%. Solana was down 1 % after what has been an astonishing run. Over the past week, the asset is up over 40%. You may remember that in an early October episode, I pulled out the average performance of Bitcoin for the month of October going back to 2010, which was 27%. I calculated that if Bitcoin achieved that average performance during the month, the price would reach just over $34 ,000. Well, that's pretty much what happened. Do please note, I am not saying I know where the price is going, and the October result was pure coincidence, I don't have a crystal ball. But let's try the same exercise for November just for fun. November historically has been on average an even better month than October, with an average performance going back to 2011 of 44%. If this November meets its average, and it's a big if, that would put the Bitcoin price at just over $49 ,000. It's a pleasant thing to keep in mind. In macro indicators, today I have more news from the University of Michigan Consumer Survey. You may remember a couple of weeks ago, I talked about why this survey was worth watching. It's because of what it says about how consumers are feeling, which could impact future spending. Well, on Friday, we got the details for October, and there are some worrying signals in there. Inflation expectations one year out are now at 4 .4%, much higher than the expected 4%, and higher than September's 4 .2%. This is the highest level since May, which signals that the rate hikes are not doing what they're supposed to do, which is bring down corporate and consumer spending and reset expectations. The fact that consumer inflation expectations are more than double the official target is not nearly as worrying as the fact that they are heading up. And it's especially relevant since it is something Fed Chair Jerome Powell has said he keeps an eye on, as inflation expectations can influence behavior. This rise in the University of Michigan's survey result further confirms that rate cuts are not on the table just yet, and probably won't be for a while, at least until this number comes down to close to 2%. The University of Michigan inflation expectations for five years out also came in higher than expected at 3 .2%. This is lower than the 12 -month expectations, which is good, but it does send the signal that the Fed's inflation target won't be reached even in five years.

"All right. So you guys will remember that we covered this quite extensively is that Polygon was the chain that was selected by Disney in kind of this incubator and this incubator was aligning with all those different components of how to build brand IP within Web3. That is what you have to pay attention to because some of these tokens and some of these blockchains that Disney actually is now starting to use I think came from that incubator back a year and a half ago that they were trying to test out a lot of tool sets and of course things have changed a little bit. Of course, Pinnacle is going to be launched. This is the big thing with Disney. But I want to get into this because this will go into a little bit of narrative of what tokens we're talking about here and what token you could start to watch for in terms of movement. One of the things though is the ecosystem around what Disney is doing. This is a good example. This is just another YouTube channel. But it's a YouTube channel that goes into these collectors and there is an entirely large ecosystem inside Disney that really kind of dives into the collector narrative. Now I want to jump over to another clip and then we'll get in some data around this and what token we're talking about today. Listen in. I'm Mario. I'm Liz. And I'm Crystal. And we've collected thousands of Disney pins.

And I want you to think of two things that you are most grateful for in your life. You got to have an attitude of gratitude if you want to manifest abundance, happiness and success. That's right ladies and gentlemen, lift up those spirits, get ready, get out that door and whatever station you are in life, like I said, show up as your best self and turn that frown upside down. Be the go -getter you are.

A highlight from 1 BILLION TETHER USDT MINTED TO PUMP CRYPTO? RIPPLE CEO & SEC GARY GENSLER AT DC FINTECH THIS WEEK
"1 billion in Tether USDT has been minted. What does this mean for the price of Bitcoin and altcoins this coming week? Also Ripple's CEO Brad Garlinghouse and SEC Chair Gary Gensler will be at the same Bank of International Settlements event this week. Will there be some mudslinging and sparks flying? Also Gary Gensler has not turned over the FTX documents as requested by Congress. Now that the SBF trial has been completed, will Gary Gensler be subpoenaed? Let's break it down. Bitcoin has been minted at the Tether treasury. It's valued at $1 ,742 ,500, folks. So what we've seen historically is when there's this type of huge minting happening at Tether, this money goes to the crypto market. And Bitcoin, as we all have been anticipating and waiting for, is ready to go to the next level and that could be at $40K or higher. And right now it's consolidating, it's building its support levels, it's going to continue to work its way upwards. The timing, no one has a crystal ball, so we don't know specifically when it's going to do that. So we just have to be patient and let the market cycles play out, both from the micro and macro standpoint. What we have been seeing is that Bitcoin is still looking bullish and altcoins have been popping off. So the liquidity is flowing from Bitcoin down to the alt. So for example, XRP is looking pretty strong. It's over $0 .64. It's up 15 .51 % from a 7 -day perspective. And other altcoins like Solano also performing really well, Cardano also performing really well. So Bitcoin hit its overbought scenario from the micro, the liquidity is flowing down to the alts, and then those alts will hit their overbought scenario. Then the liquidity will flow back to Bitcoin, Bitcoin will move up another leg, and then rinse and repeat. The liquidity flows back down to the alts. So as I've been saying, this is not a move to new all -time highs. This is just a retracement move. So I'm anticipating higher prices. That's not a guarantee. There's no certainties here, but we can form a thesis and make an educated guess and be ready to take profits as needed. So let's see what this week brings us, folks. But there's a lot of Tether or USDT in that Tether treasury. So let's keep an eye on this. Well, folks, Ripple CEO and SEC chair to headline DC FinTech week this coming week. So it's going to be very interesting. I'm actually very surprised SEC chair Gary Gensler is showing up to this. So the upcoming 2023 DC FinTech week has generated a lot of excitement with the crypto community as it's going to feature Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse and SEC chair Gary Gensler as key speakers as shared by the Bank of International Settlements recently. Now, from what I've seen, they are not going to be speaking on this at the same time or on the same panel. But as you can imagine, they're going to take shots. And I'm sure the shots are going to come from Brad Garlinghouse because he's already voiced a lot of his opinions on Twitter. And the Ripple folks are obviously pretty upset at the nonsense lawsuit. And we saw the lawsuit against Brad and Chris got dropped. Obviously, Ripple took the lion's share of the victory when it comes to XRP being declared intrinsically not a security. So it's going to be very, very interesting. And Gary Gensler and the SEC are not in the driver's seat right now because they've been taking losses across the board. Obviously, the big one too was Grayscale and with the Bitcoin spot ETF plus Coinbase and many others are fighting back. And we're seeing even some of these cases that have not wrapped up yet, the judges are taking the SEC to task, calling out their hypocrisy, their lies and much more, which we have been seeing is a trend. The SEC is not abiding by the law. They will lie and be hypocrites and much more when they're an agency that's supposed to have integrity, right? They're supposed to be the good guys trying to protect consumers, but clearly they have become the bad guys. They have lost their core mission of protecting investors and they've become very political and much more. So let's keep an eye on this, folks. This is going to be very interesting. So this is from November 6th to Monday through Wednesday or through Thursday, I should say through the 9th. So it will be very, very interesting to see how things play out here. Now, quick word from our sponsor, and that is Uphold. Uphold is one of the best exchanges out there. They have 260 plus cryptocurrencies. They are safe to use. You can also trade precious metals and equities on this platform, as well as 37 fiat currencies. Uphold has 100 % transparency when it comes to customer funds. They are reserved. They do audits and they don't commingle like FTX. So I can vouch for this platform because I've used it since 2018. I've interviewed the CEO, the CFO and much more so you can get Bitcoin and your top altcoins on Uphold. So if you'd like to learn more, please visit the link in the description. Now, folks, the other aspect that I think we want to keep an eye on, will Gary Gensler be subpoenaed? There's been a lot of threats on Patrick McHenry and so forth, and the subpoenas regarding the SEC not handing over the FTX communications and documents, because remember, Sam Beckmerfried and FTX officials met with Gary Gensler and the SEC staff multiple times while all the fraud was happening, folks. So talk about the cop on the beat who goes around with his chest out saying he's the cop on the beat and I'm here to stop all the bad guys. And the biggest bad guy committing historic fraud was meeting with you and you did nothing. There were rumors of the SEC trying to do with FTX what they did with Promethium and having that special broker dealer license or whatever it is that would be exclusive to FTX, which would essentially hurt the other players in the market, like Coinbase, like Uphold, like the other exchanges. Thank goodness that didn't happen. And thank goodness that the Promethium folks got exposed. They weren't even offering trading for Bitcoin and any other cryptocurrencies. So it was all a facade, all a lie. And Gary has not turned over these docs. And I'm hoping Patrick Henry and these folks issued a subpoena.

A highlight from Ep 191: How to Build Amazing Work Relationships (with Michael Bungay Stanier)
"So here's a story I've heard dozens of times. You have this senior staff member who needs to be managed out and everyone knows it. But instead of addressing the problem, you hire someone underneath that person to support the poor performer. It feels like no time at all, and that rock star you hired resigns, a new opportunity they just couldn't pass up. But we know the truth. Gallup tells us that close to 60 % of employees who leave are not leaving because of compensation. The main reason? Managers are simply not investing in meeting staff needs as valued employees and human beings. As author and today's guest, Michael Bungay Stanier, says in his new book, people don't leave organizations. They leave managers. This new book, How to Work with Almost Anyone, will be the foundation, the anchor of our conversation. And its foundational assumption is that work success is intrinsically tied to the relationships we build, cultivate, and nurture, and that most of the time we leave the health and fate of these relationships to chance. How crazy is that, right? That's why Michael wrote this book. He believes it's time to commit to intentionally design and manage the way you work with people to actively build what he calls the BPR, the best possible relationship. Can you imagine if your relationship with your employee or your supervisor was safe, vital, and repairable? You don't have to imagine. Today, Michael will share a very clear and compelling recipe. Greetings and welcome to Nonprofits are Messy. I'm your host, Joan Gary, founder of the Nonprofit Leadership Lab, where we help smaller nonprofits thrive. I'm also a strategic advisor for executive directors and boards of larger nonprofits. I'm a frequent keynote speaker, a blogger, and an author on all things leadership and management. You can learn more at joangarry .com. I think of myself as a woman with a mission, to fuel the leadership of the nonprofit sector. My goal with each episode is to dig deep into an issue I know the nonprofit leaders are grappling with by finding just the right person to offer you advice and insights. Today is no exception. Michael Bunge -Stanyer helps people know they're awesome and that they're doing great. He's best known for The Coaching Habit, the best -selling coaching book of the century, and already recognized as a classic. His new book I referenced, How to Work with Almost Anyone, does what it says on the label. Michael was a Rhodes Scholar. He dabbles in the ukuleles, so do I. He's Australian, I'm not, and lives in Toronto, Canada. I've been there. Learn more about Michael at www .mbs .works. Michael, it's great to have you back on my podcast. What I totally love about your work is that you work to solve workplace problems with clear, compelling, simple, and actionable strategies. Your books are easy to digest, not because they're overly simplistic, hardly, but because you don't mince words, you get to the point, and the points you make really stick. So I am delighted you've written another book so that I had the excuse to have you back. Welcome. Joan, what a very generous and kind introduction. Thank you. You're right, I have a mantra when I'm writing a book, which is, what's the shortest book I can write that's still useful? Because so many books are so long and there are so many words and there's so much fluff, and I'm trying to unweird stuff for people. The coaching habit, I think, unweirds the whole idea of coaching, so everybody can kind of go, oh, if that's coaching, I can give that a shot. And here I'm trying to unweird this idea of how do you actively manage the health of your working relationships? Because it's a bit daunting, it's a bit hard, but I'm trying to give people an easier way into that. So you're kind of north of BlinkList of and south a 300 -page book. That's a lovely way to put it. Yeah, I'm like that. So because I've written a book, I always love to know what compelled you to write about this topic? What was their igniting incident? Sort of what drove you to do it? Because you need a drive to write a book, regardless of how short or long it is. Yeah, it's mostly a miserable experience writing a book, even if you like writing books. And I do quite like writing books. Well, there wasn't an inciting incident so much, Joan, but part of what I realized is my best contribution to the world is to be a writer. Like of all the things that I can do, and I'm a speaker and I can coach and I can facilitate and I can design learning and training, and I can do all of that pretty well. But the thing that is most distinctive in what I do is how I write and how I try and move things from complex to simplicity on the other side of complicated. Which is, by the way, no small feat and definitely a superpower. Oh, thank you. So I actually sit with the question, what's my best idea? What's my best guess for the next book I should write? Because I've got all sorts of ideas. I have ideas all the time. A vast majority of them are not very good ideas, but which are the ones that keep showing up. And this idea of actively managing a working relationship, having a conversation about how we work together before you have a conversation on what are we working on. Well, that seed got planted 30 years ago by a writer called Peter Block, who I'm sure you know of as well. And he calls it social contracting. And I'd been using this tool with my clients, with my board when I had a board, with my team, with my direct reports, but also with my peers. And I kind of fine -tuned how I thought this could work best. And I just realized the power of this tool. And I'm like, you know, if I got one tool that I could teach that I haven't taught yet, it might be this whole idea of a Keystone conversation in service of how do you build the best possible relationship with the most important people with whom you work? So you say that we should all be shooting for this best possible relationship. And I mean, there's a part of me that says, oh, okay, so who doesn't want that, right? Isn't it something comes naturally and builds over time? Well, if you're lucky, it comes naturally. And if you're lucky, it builds over time. But I think the odds are against you. I mean, it's entropy. Stuff gets cracked, stuff gets damaged. And the difference is passively waiting and hoping to see if it all, you know, cross your fingers and hope that it all plays out well versus actively saying, what can I do to make this relationship the best version of this relationship? So, you know, your relationships, your working relationships probably fit on a bell curve. You've got some on one end where you're like, I love working with this person, it's fantastic. They get me, I get them. We, you know, amplify each other's strengths. We kind of navigate the tricky things with grace and ease, brilliant. You've probably got some relationships, hopefully not too many at the other end where you're like, oh my goodness, this person is an energy vampire. They suck my life away. If I write a blog post called The Energy Vampire, I'm totally crediting you. Carry on there, Michael. You have to credit what we do in the shadows, which is a fabulous TV show, which is where I got the idea of Energy Vampire from. But anyway, you know, there are these people who you're like, you just can't crack it. No matter what you do, no matter how good your intentions and perhaps their intentions, it just feels like a kind of sucky relationship. And then most of your relationships are somewhere in the middle. They're decent, they're pretty good. You get along most of the time. But each one of those relationships has a potential. And I reckon whether you're at one end of the bell curve or the other or in the middle, there's a way that you can live more fully up to the potential of that relationship. And it takes actively managing it. It takes you going, how do I be the person who reaches out and says, let's figure out how we work best together for your sake and for my sake and for the mission of our organization's sake. I keep coming back to this word intention. So often, people want me to come to the word mindfulness, but I'm a fidgety skeptic, as Dan Harris calls me. I can see that. I'm watching you on video and I'm like, I'm getting that vibe just hanging out with you. But I'm telling you, what you're proposing here, what you're evangelizing about, is to enter into a relationship with intention. And this is something that I talk a lot about with nonprofit leaders who are constantly racing with everything feeling quite urgent because usually everything is quite urgent. And so intentionality is a little bit, is a scarcer commodity than I think is good for a thriving nonprofit. So I love this notion of being intentional about building the best possible relationship. So you talk about three characteristics of the best possible relationship. Can you tease them out for me briefly? Yeah, yeah. So I think the best possible relationships have three characteristics, just as you say. It's not A plus B plus C. There are three characteristics that exist in tension with each other because all best things, all best systems have three principles that are in tension with each other. So I think a best possible relationship needs to be safe and vital and repairable. So let me unpack each one of those three things for you. Safe is the best place to start. And if you've heard of any one of those three, it's probably about safety within relationships, psychological safety, because Amy Edmondson, the OG on psychological safety has made it really clear what a significant role this plays in team and organizational success. Google with Project Oxygen and Project Aristotle talking about how teams and managers thrive. Psychological safety is a key part of the characteristics that they mention. And safety feels an ability to not be in a place of fear. So being able to say things and not fear the repercussions of it. That's how Amy Edmondson defines it. It could even go a little beyond that. Deloitte recently did a study around something they call coverage. And coverage is this idea of, do you get to show up as yourself or do you have to hide some parts of yourself? And it's a really significant number of people who feel they can't bring their whole selves to work. More so, as soon as you move away from people like me, straight white men, old man, I'm like, I'm more comfortable with bringing my whole self to work, but I've got a whole bunch of structures around me that allow that when you're racialized or gender or whatever it might be. There's all sorts of, as people of color will say, code switching that goes on so you fit in and you don't bring your whole self to work. So safety is about an awareness of that. Yes, yes. And I can say as a very quick aside, as a member of the LGBT community, I know about covering and I know about authenticity and the distinction between, I've seen it and read lots about it, about the difference in job satisfaction and productivity of someone of a marginalized community who is able to be authentic versus people who are not. And I often say that LGBT people kind of model authenticity for others who don't come out about all kinds of things. Right, right, that's exactly right. So let's move on to Vital. Yeah, so Vital, I love that Vital has two meanings. Vital meaning essential, but Vital also meaning enlivening. Sort of makes your heart beat a little faster and you kind of in a good way kind of get sweaty hands and kind of go, this is exciting. So Vital is about a relationship that invites people to be brave, to step to the edge of who they are and what they know, to have adventures, to be courageous, to take some risks. And you can see that safe and Vital actually are in a dance with each other. There's this tension between them. You can have a relationship that is so safe that it is deadening, that there's a kind of like, you can't go to the edges because it's all about safety. You can have a relationship that's so vital, so kind of dangerous, that failure is catastrophic because when it breaks, and it will, there's not that safety to kind of balance it. So in any best possible relationship, we're like, what's the balance between safety and vitality that we need to strike? Interesting, I also think about, as you describe, a vital relationship. It's one that when you are in a meeting with that person that that meeting is fueling rather than depleting. Yeah, exactly. It's like Marcus Buckingham talks about strengths. Strength isn't just what you're good at, it's what enlivens you. It's what gives you vitality and what's giving you energy. Yep, repairable. Yeah, so the third attribute is repairable, which is, it stems from this insight, your best relationships and your worst relationships and the ones in the middle will go off the rails at some stage. And an ability to say, how do we fix this so we get back on track is an extraordinarily powerful role to play in any working relationship. And in my research for this, I read a lot of people who write just about the health of relationships. So people like Esther Perel and Dan Siegel and Terry Reel, all terrific authors, all with not all the same, but kind of different, but kind of aligned points of view. And one of the things that was really clear is how poor we are at repairability. You know, something gets slightly dinged and we kind of go, oh, I'm hurt. I feel a bit broken. I feel like this relationship's deteriorating a little bit. And you just kind of assume that that's the way to go because it's hard to speak up about being hurt. It's hard to be the person who builds a bridge to say, let's see if we can get back on track and get back to health in terms of this relationship. So safe, vital, and repairable are the three attributes that make up a best possible relationship. And yes, they're in a dance with each other, right? If a relationship with a colleague goes off the rails, I need to have some element of safety, but I need to feel some element of safety to be able to say either, wait, hold on, that actually did not work for me. That's right. Or can I please tell you how that made me feel? Not to sound too woo -woo or too therapeutic, like let's just face it, there's a lot of therapeutic techniques in buildings and sustaining and nurturing relationships. And how you do it depends on the conversation you've had with the person you're trying to fix this with. So how you and I might repair a glitch that's happened in our working relationships might happen a different way because we're both fast, we're both slightly skeptical, we're both slightly jittery, as you said earlier on. I'm like, me too. We probably do it in a different way because I don't need so much of the blanket of a therapy language to repair stuff. But we figure that out between us. But with somebody, for instance, on my team, I'm thinking of somebody in particular who has much more of that kind of, I need that kind of language and pattern around therapeutic exchange, I'd repair with her in a very different way. But that's the nature of this. There's not a generic way about you showing up. It is a co -created plan to say, how do we build the best possible relationship together? So you talk about building and designing this best possible relationship through something you call the keystone conversation. And I think by virtue of the title of it, I think I know it's a big conversation and an important conversation, that's keystone. Can it happen at any point in your trajectory of a relationship? Or is it best to happen as someone first comes in the door? Yeah, it's a little bit like that saying, the best time to plant an acorn was 20 years ago, but the second best time to plant an acorn is today. Which is like, you can pull back and say, let's have a conversation about how we're working together anywhere through the arc of a relationship. Now, Joan, I'm gonna say this, just because it's on people's minds as they listen to us talk, at least one person is thinking, isn't this going to be awkward? And I just want to say, yes, it is going to be an awkward conversation. Certainly the first time for you and the first time for that other person, it's like, this doesn't happen very often. And it's a bit unusual to step out of the urgency of everyday work, because there's plenty to do and there's plenty to worry about, and there are plenty of fires to put out, and there are plenty of things to be focused on. To step back and go, let's take a beat and talk about you and me and how we're working together. So I love that, I love that. I will also say, and we'll come back to it in a little bit, we actually put your book to the test yesterday with a brand new employee. I love this. And as part of onboarding, and I talked to the manager and Chris, you indicated no awkwardness at all, but an actual wow, like a receptivity to it where both people benefited from the conversation. So depending on when you, it might, if you get further along, it might be, what are we doing? Like, what are we doing this for? But as part of onboarding, it seems to actually be lovely and organic and welcoming. And give the structure to that. But I'm also going to say, Joan, I that love that's onboarding and a manager to a new team member is the most obvious moment when you would do this very conversation. I'm meeting a new vendor this afternoon. Like, they're going to work with me to kind of help produce SEO stuff and help support the launch of the book. I don't understand it at all. SEO stuff, I like that, yeah. But honestly, I've tried to work with agencies like this before. And for the most part, these have not been great relationships. I haven't understood what's going on. They haven't understood me. And it's kind of deteriorated. I'll be using these same questions or variations on them in the setup with this company to say, when you've worked with clients and they've been really good for you, what happened? What did they do? What did you do? When you've worked with clients and they've kind of sucked a bit, what happened? What did they do? What did you do? And I'm going to answer that as well. When I've worked with an agency and it's been great, what happened? What did they do? What did I do? When it didn't work, what did they do? What did I do? It's anytime you've got a relationship that goes beyond it being a transaction, it might be worth investing in the robustness of that relationship. I totally love that. And in fact, it's funny when I always interview potential coaching clients because I coach CEOs of nonprofits. And I know that I have found someone I want to coach when they ask me, who's your ideal coaching client? How do you know that you've had an impact? It's like, first of all, it actually is a very self -reflecting kind of question. It helps me to focus on what I want out of my working relationships with my coaching clients and it gives them insight into me. And so these are the kinds of questions that are so incredibly helpful. So I want to talk about the Keystone conversation and the elements of it. For those people who may be joining or running on the elliptical or something, I just want to say - We salute you. Joan and I are both in excellent shape, so we don't need to run on the elliptical. And so we are sitting on our asses actually. We embody something so healthy, but for everybody who's exercising as you listen to us, carry on, you're doing great. Carry on, indeed. You have our full support. We are chatting about working relationships. We're just talking about relationships. And we're talking to Michael Bungay Stanier and he is best known for a book called The Coaching Habit, which I love. It's a best -selling coaching book of the century, already recognized as a classic. And his new book, which is coming out on June 27th, is called How to Work with Almost Anyone. And that's what we're talking about. Let's get to it. The Keystone Conversation. And maybe you can, because if you go through all five of them, then people won't actually need to read the book. So... Or buy the book. Which I'm okay with. Like, you know, if they're like, I got all I need from this conversation and I can build better relationships, the mission of this book is 10 million better working relationships. And if I can get that through a conversation with you and a million people, improve working relationships because of the Joan Gary influence, then boom, I'm winning. Doesn't matter about book sales so much. But if you want to buy the book, that's fine as well. That's right. We want you to buy the book. But I want you to give people a flavor of some of the kinds of questions that serve as a foundation of the Keystone Conversation. Sure. So I think there are five questions. And I've actually kind of hinted at what two of them are already. So let me just name those and kind of formally tell you what those are. These are questions number three and question four. There's the good date question, which is what can you learn from successful past relationships? Because the key thing you need to know is your past relationships will show you patterns of your future relationships. I know every relationship is different and every person you're working with is different, but the way you show up and the way they show up, there are just recurring patterns that will keep showing up. So you can look back at the best and go, that, what happened there? What did they do? What did they do that contributed to this? Because we've got a natural bias to taking too much credit for the good relationships. It's like, no, it's all me. It's like, it's not all you. What did they do? What can you learn from that? Because telling that to the person you're in conversation with right now, that's going to be so helpful for them. And also explain what you did. So you both get to exchange what best working relationship is. So powerful. But then the bad date question is kind of the flip of that, the dark side of that, which is what can you learn from frustrating past relationships? Because you've had frustrating past relationships, you've contributed to the frustration of that past relationship. It wasn't just that the other person sucked and they were psychopathic and they were terrible and they were bad human beings, although all of those might also be true. But you played a role in that. A relationship is a dynamic between two people. So what was your role? What was your contribution? How do you learn about yourself and how you show up in bad possible relationships, bad working relationships? And just those two questions alone give so much data about what we should strive for and what we should avoid in terms of how we work well together. The third question I wanted to share, number two on the list, was actually the one that your colleague used in terms of setting up that onboarding conversation. Because before you hit record, you told me that story and I loved it. I might tell it again. But no goosebumps up and down my arm. Yeah, it was like amazing. And it was, what are your practices and preferences? So I call this the steady question. We all have patterns, ways of working, ways of using technology, ways of showing up. They the are questions that are often put on what's sometimes called a read me document. They're kind of big on, I think, Silicon Valley and maybe elsewhere as well, which is like, here are a whole bunch of things you need to know about me. And then the old pattern is I've written out this document, I'm going to send it out and everybody should read it and then they'll just understand how to work. They'll just know me. Yeah, they'll just know me. I'm like, you know, nobody's going to read the document or at least read it well. Nobody's going to remember it. That's not how you form a relationship by sending out a manifesto of how to work with me. That's ridiculous. And the content is so useful when you're sharing about your colleague onboarding your new employee. They're like, we started with these conversations, starting with the simplest question, which is what's your name? What's not your name? Yes, I have to actually, yeah. So I do want to talk about this for just a second because I think it was so instructive to me. So I gave Christy a copy of the book last week. I got a, because I have a special friend, I was able to get one ahead of time. I know some people who know some people. And what Christy said, and we have a new staff person and we are a fully remote organization. That's an important thing to know. There are people that work for me that I have never met in person. So we have to work with greater intention to actually know each other. And I believe we do a pretty good job of that. But anyway, so what Christy said was that the questions in this Read Me exercise did seem so simple, but then it just got, it went to all kinds of places. So the first question, what's my name? What's your name? What's not your name? Christy said, it sparked discussion around our backgrounds and our culture and how we grew up. And she went on and what she said is that the introspection required to answer the question helps you get to know yourself as well as the other person. She referred to the good at versus fulfilled exercise. And it completely changes the tone of the manager direct report conversation by sharing answers back and forth. What a great testimony. Thank you, Christy. Yeah, you know. And thank you to Crystal, our brand new employee for saying, hey, let's do this.

Today, the Dubai Financial Services Authority, also known as the DFSA, approved XRP under its virtual assets regime, allowing licensed firms in the Dubai International Center to incorporate XRP into their virtual asset services. Folks, we are seeing global adoption of crypto and XRP continues to get adoption as well. And obviously, Ripple had a big win against SEC, showing that XRP intrinsically is not a security. And that is, of course, a huge win for the entire crypto industry. But I've often stated that crypto is not a United States asset class. It's a global asset class. And we are seeing different countries, jurisdictions and regions are embracing XRP, giving licensing and approvals and much more. Very bullish if you are an XRP holder. So here's what the press release had to say regarding this. Since the DFSA opened up external applications, XRP is the first virtual asset to be approved by the regime. XRP joins Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin as assets previously approved under the DFSA's virtual assets regime. XRP now stands to benefit from legal and regulatory clarity in the DFC and will be available for use by institutions located in the DFC to accelerate faster and more efficient global value exchange. Huge news, folks. Huge news. Very, very bullish if you're an XRP holder. And we know Ripple, their on -demand liquidity product is being set up for global adoption. It will use XRP. They're trying to improve cross -border payments. And we know in Dubai, there are many, many migrant workers, people who send money back home and they want to send it service providers and banks in those regions. And it's great to see, you know, XRP adoption. Here's what Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse had to say in the press release. Dubai continues to demonstrate global leadership when it comes to the regulation of virtual assets and nurturing innovation. It's refreshing to see the DFSA encourage the adoption and use of digital assets such as XRP to position Dubai as a leading financial services hub intent on attracting foreign investment and accelerating economic growth. Ripple will continue to double down on its presence in Dubai. And we look forward to continuing to work closely with the regulators to realize crypto's full potential. Folks, Gary Gensler is punching air right now. He's not happy. Dubai's listing of XRP has the potential to unlock new regional payments and other virtual asset use cases on the XRP ledger. As a key builder and user of the XRP ledger, Ripple chose the DFC as the location for its MENA headquarters in 2020 due to Dubai's innovation forward regulations, expansive network and reputation as a leading global financial center. Approximately 20 % of Ripple's customers are based in the MENA region. Huge news folks, very, very bullish if you're an XRP holder. Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse also tweeted some thoughts around this. He said Dubai's regulators have consistently demonstrated their pro innovation approach with this announcement as the latest example. Ripple will continue doubling down in regions where there is regulatory clarity for crypto. A key reason we're hosting Ripple Swell in Dubai this year. Now Ripple's chief legal officer Stuart Alderati said the following regarding this news, doing business in the DFC free zone puts you under a regulator, DFSA, that is providing clear guidance and rule books. No wonder entrepreneurs are flocking to Dubai. So clearly there's clarity on other countries and regions and the United States is lagging behind folks. There's also some big news that came out today around Ripple and the XRP ledgers. So the central bank payment news account here tweeted out, Ripple is the official technology partner for the national bank of Georgia's digital gel G E L CBDC pilot. According to a press release issued today in next steps, the national bank and ripple will jointly plan the project execution and gradual rollout plan. So this was a press release on today and we're seeing central banks around the world are minting their CBCs on the XRP ledger. So there's a lot of pilots going on, a lot of testing CBDCs and are coming folks, whether we'd like it or not. And they're being built on different blockchains. So don't get me wrong, right? Their block, their CBDC is going to be launched on Algorand, some on Ethereum and obviously the XRP ledgers. So huge news folks, I am still bullish on XRP, still holding my portfolio. And obviously it's been moving pretty well since the lawsuit wrap up news. I expected to do well in the next bull market to hit new all -time highs. That's not financial advice. That's not guaranteed because I don't have a crystal ball, but based on the facts that we have today, based on the clarity we have in the United States, based on all the adoption that's taking place, like the one mentioned here in Dubai and getting clarity, XRP is primed to hit new all -time highs. And it's still my number one holding. I hold Bitcoin and Ethereum as well and other all coins, but XRP certainly my number one holding, still bullish on it, folks. Now I want to end it here with Jurien Timmer of Fidelity, continuing to share his thoughts on Bitcoin. Today, he shared a new chart titled Bitcoin Drivers, which he sourced data from a variety of folks like Bloomberg, Haver Analytics, and much more. He said, with Bitcoin moving up once again, will its adoption curve accelerate as it did a few years ago? And how does the macro trend on rates affect it? Here's some data to consider. Above, I show a fair value band based on both the slope of the internet adoption curve and the path for real rates. The bottom boundary assumes a TIPS real rate of plus 2 .5 % where we are at currently, and the upper boundary assumes a minus 2 % where we were in 2021. The macro can speed up or slow down the adoption curve, which we have seen played out recently. Assuming for a moment that Bitcoin will mature as an asset class that plays on the same team as gold and silver, how should we think about where it would sit in a 60 -40 portfolio and what would be a reasonable position size? The good news is that its annualized volatility is down from its 2018 peak, weekly returns below, although at 58%, it is still head and shoulders above traditional asset classes. So here in this chart, he's looking at a conservative price point top of $96 ,210 for the 2025 peak. However, if you look at the chart, Bitcoin many times breaks out of the set boundaries and goes beyond that. So I think it's safe to assume based on this chart here, Bitcoin will be over $100 ,000 in the next peak, which is in 2025. And I love data like this and looking at different data points like this, because you want to be educated and understand the market cycles because the liquidity usually flows to Bitcoin, then it flows down to the altcoins. So this is really great data. And we're seeing the bullish momentum building again, and I'm excited folks. And I think Bitcoin could possibly, now it's not guaranteed, hit 50, maybe 48, 50 K in the next two months or so. We'll see. Not guaranteed. It could top out at 40, but we certainly have a lot of narratives like the spot ETF approval, and as well as the Bitcoin halving, which I think has signified the start of the bull markets for the last market cycle. So folks, that's the news. Let me know what you think about this XRP news. Huge in my opinion. Are you bullish on XRP? Leave your thoughts and comments below. Do you think we're going to hit a new all time high in 2025? And thank you for listening. Thank you for watching. Appreciate the support. And I'll talk to you all later.

A highlight from Mike Gallagher Week in Review for Friday, November 3, 2023
"United States Border Patrol has exciting and rewarding career opportunities with the nation's largest law enforcement organization. Welcome into The Mike Gallagher Show week in review podcast. Great to have you here. It is Friday, November the third. It's another week chock full of breaking news. Let's begin with this shocker. Over a hundred college professors at Columbia University in New York City signing a letter in support of pro -hamas protesters on campus. The anti -semitism we're seeing in the streets of America, particularly on college campuses, is astounding and we tackled it this week front and center. Over a hundred Columbia University professors signed a letter yesterday defending students who support Hamas. Can you imagine a college professor supporting monsters who put babies in ovens and and cooked them alive? Can you imagine over a hundred Columbia University professors, Ivy League staffers writing a letter supporting the students who defend Hamas? You'd send your kid to college at Columbia, you'd be out of your mind. You would be out of your mind. If you've got a son or daughter who wants to go get some hugely successful career and they think Columbia University is the path to take, you'd be nuts to let your kid go to Columbia, much less pay for it. And donors, you would donate to Columbia University? Over a hundred professors defending students who are supporting bloodthirsty animalistic terrorists. They put babies in ovens. They raped women and broke their legs before murdering them. They chopped soldiers' heads off. They chopped babies' heads off. And these moron professors, and they are morons, they are ignorant fools, wrote a letter demanding for support the moron students defending terrorism. Meanwhile, the House of Representatives has a brand new speaker. He's Representative Mike Johnson, a Republican from Louisiana. Democrats are none too happy about this guy. In fact, they are literally denouncing his Bible -believing Christianity. Wait till you hear what MSNBC personality and former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki had to say about Mike Johnson's religious beliefs. Does the Bible inform your worldview? The new Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson, a little -known congressman from Louisiana, has had the audacity to admit that for him the Bible informs his worldview. Jen Psaki was the White House Press Secretary. She now has her own show on MSNBC, and she is undoubtedly very popular among the left. I want you to hear Jen Psaki expressing her shock and disgust and mortification at the newly elected Speaker of the House, admitting that he's a Bible -believing Christian. So let's take a few minutes to talk about this new speaker. First glance, Mike Johnson does seem fine, fine -ish. Conservative, yes, but he once started a civility caucus with a Democrat. And I mean, if nothing else, he wears a suit and has glasses. How threatening can this guy actually be? Well, he gave us all a little clue as to how he would govern in an interview this week. I am a Bible -believing Christian. Someone asked me today in the media, they said, it's curious. People are curious. What does Mike Johnson think about any issue under the sun? I said, well, go pick up a Bible off your shelf and read it. That's, that's my worldview. You heard that right. The Bible doesn't just inform his worldview. It is his worldview. In fact, during his first speech in his new job, Johnson suggested that his election as speaker was an act of God. Talk about a bit of a humble brag there. So what exactly has God apparently called on Mike Johnson to do? Well, his views on policy are essentially what you'd expect from a religious fundamentalist. They're more divisive than they are divine. She's threatened. They're threatened by a religious fundamentalist like Mike Johnson. And you heard what she, the way she described it. It's threatening. We should be scared because he's a Christian. Now you just heard that, right? I mean, I'm not hallucinating, right? I just played a clip from MSNBC and she's got some MSNBC bona fides. She was the White House press secretary. She's no slouch in terms of elocution. She knows what she's saying. She forms the word. She's reading those words on a teleprompter. Let me again repeat what Jen Psaki just told her national audience. We should be scared of Mike Johnson because he's a Christian. Let that sink in. This is the Mike Gallagher Show Week in Review podcast. I hope you'll subscribe. Don't miss any of the great content that we produce every single day. If you missed anything, you'll catch up with us. The Israeli consulate in New York City invited the media to a special event. They shared firsthand evidence of the brutality of Hamas in Israel. This is very difficult to hear, but we can't turn away. We must be aware of what actually happened on October 7th in Israel. Kelly Jane Torrance writes about it. None of us wanted to see such sites, this person writes, but none of us would give up the opportunity. The world needs to know what happened. Journalists, about 20 of us had to leave our cell phones and Apple watches at the door. Some of the footage had never been released and Israeli authorities had their reasons for showing it only to select reporters and some select others like Joe Biden. They're concerned about the feelings of the families involved. They also don't want such horror and humiliation broadcast worldwide. One retired major general and reservist, Mickey Edelstein said, we have values. This reporter said, human beings still have the capacity to shock if one can call Hamas human beings. I will long be haunted by what I saw. The footage eases you into things, she writes, a little. Terrorists fire at motorists on the highway. They enter a kibbutz and blow an ambulance's tires first. They shoot a dog who reminds, who remains shaking on the street. They light a home on fire. Then, then they start entering the houses. Israel collected video from a wide variety of sources, public closed circuit TV, traffic cameras, dash cams of terrorists and of victims, as well as their social media posts and messages at home. You can hear the murderers breathe heavily as they nervously approach their prey. It was almost impossible to watch the council general admitted afterward. He couldn't even stay for the whole screening. A father tries to get his young children dressed only in underpants safely to a backyard shelter. A grenade lands before he can close the door. He's dead. A terrorist takes the two boys back into the house. The security camera captures their devastation. The blast blinded one boy in an eye, the other falls to the ground, plaintively pleading, why am I alive? Why am I alive? Blood is everywhere. A man with his nose blown off, headless Israeli soldiers, an elderly woman clad only in her brightly colored underwear, never meant to be seen by so many. Piles of bodies surrounded by young men, celebrating, chanting Aluakbar. A broken woman is taken from the back of a Jeep, the rear of her pants covered in blood. We can easily understand what likely happened to her. Young men clamor over trying to get a look inside. Women who were raped had their legs broken, then they were killed. So they were raped, they had their legs broken, and then they were murdered. Many times Kelly Jane Torrance writes, I wanted to look away, but I forced myself not to. We journalists had to see so what happened we could tell the world. Yet here is a line from a CBS news piece written by a journalist who saw the footage, quote, in another clip, a militant stands over a man who appears to have been shot in the gut and hacks at him multiple times with a garden hoe. Interestingly, the words terrorist or terrorism don't appear in this piece. They don't appear in the New York Times report of that screening either. I can tell you it was not a militant who stands over a man. A group of terrorists argue over who gets to behead the man. A Thai worker bleeding profusely from his stomach but still alive. Someone hacks at him repeatedly with a hoe trying to behead him. Every single time the terrorist yells Alua Akbar. That difference in detail is why the consulate staff sat through 45 minutes of misery. They need people to see what happened. Sure, dead babies were found without their heads, but who knows who did the deed, according to journalists from serious publications, supposedly publications. serious She says, the hate I witnessed goes beyond those who entered Israel. A young man uses a dead Israeli woman's phone to call his parents and brag of killing 10 Jews, quote, with my bare hands. He pleads to his father, please be proud of me, dad. That's the culture Israel must fight. Then there's New York City. A day after the screening of this video, thousands of anti -Semites marched into Manhattan via the Brooklyn Bridge after a rally at the Brooklyn Museum. At the front were people holding a banner that read, by any means necessary. This journalist who saw these atrocities committed by these monsters, these savages called Hamas, writes, understand what a sign like that means. These people know what happened October 7th. They're gathering in large numbers in New York and cities around the world, including America, to show their support for the animals who committed these atrocities. They are as bloodthirsty as the heavy breathing terrorists whose voices the people of Israel will never get out of their heads. And that's so important. You must know what pro -Hamas demonstrators are. On the pop culture front, actor Matthew Perry, best known for his role on the sitcom series Friends, passed away at the age of 54. He was found in his hot tub in his Los Angeles home, apparently drowned. A very interesting conversation resulted in vaccines with the shocking death of Matthew Perry. 54 years old, he was one of the stars of Friends. He was found dead in his jacuzzi at his Los Angeles home. And right away, people started rushing in saying he was a big pro -vaccination guy. The anti -vaxxers, as they're known, went bonkers, saying, how does a 54 -year -old guy who was allegedly clean and sober, he had had a lifetime of trouble with drugs and alcohol, apparently, rough life, he had gotten his act together, he wrote a memoir last year, and he was lounging in his jacuzzi, and he died. And so far, the police say, no sign of foul play. There were some prescription drugs found, but no illegal drugs or illicit drugs. And this guy was part of the culture and one of the most successful sitcom actors of all time, and one of the most successful sitcoms of all time, Friends. And apparently, he had his personal assistant go out to run some errands. The assistant came back after a couple hours and found this guy dead in the jacuzzi in the backyard of the pool. A lot of people were tweeting and writing on social media. This is not a conspiracy theory. People are suddenly dying. People are having heart attacks. And they pointed out that Matthew Perry had tweeted out like a year ago, could I be any more vaccinated? Get your shot and then get your shirt. Shop the entire collection. And it was a collection of t -shirts bragging about getting vaccinated. And people were tweeting out things like, do you believe Matthew Perry died from heart issues in his jacuzzi that were caused by him getting so many COVID vaccines? Again, he once promoted a t -shirt that said, could I be any more vaccinated? Well, you know, I know we don't want to open up that whole can of worms again. On the other hand, did you see the story about the new analysis by the FDA, the Food and Drug Administration, said that there may be an increase in the risk of stroke when you get a COVID shot on the same day as when you get certain flu vaccines. A new analysis found the link was clearest in adults over 85. It applied to the Pfizer and Moderna COVID booster vaccines. The FDA said the risk might stem from the flu vaccine alone and be completely unrelated to the COVID shots. I think it's fair to say, and I just want to start right here and say, whether we like it or not, most Americans, I think, and I want you to correct me if you think I've got this wrong, most Americans have a deep distrust over just about any vaccine. There was a horrific incidence of violence this week in New York City. It erupted after an argument between neighbors of a New York City apartment building. It was all captured on closed circuit surveillance video. Maybe you've seen the ghastly video of a neighbor in an apartment building who executed a father and his stepson over a dispute regarding noise. It was all captured on closed circuit surveillance video. It's awful. I don't want to play it. I mean, this guy came with a gun ready to confront this family. There had apparently been a history of arguing between these two tenants of the apartment building, I think it was in Brooklyn, and the family comes out to confront the guy. He's wearing a jacket. He's dressed all in black. And the closed circuit surveillance cameras are just crystal clear. One thing about this closed circuit TVs now, the video quality is as good as anything you see on a TV network. You can get these ring cameras and everything, and they're a real good deterrent, I think, for criminals, because they work well. I've got a whole set of them at a property that I own, and you can see everything. It records automatically. If there's movement, you can set all kinds of settings. Anyway, they had a closed circuit camera in the hallway of this apartment building. This guy's waiting. He's pacing. They're arguing. The dad comes out, and he's very threatening. He's apparently a bodybuilder. The father was this big, hulking, you know, muscular, tall guy. And he storms out with a pair of scissors in his hand, and they're arguing about the noise. And according to news reports, you know what the noise was? The family that the other guy was objecting to, they lived above this guy, and they didn't have carpeting on the floor. So whenever they walked, they were walking on wood floors, and it made a lot of noise, and it just aggravated the guy down below. So the guy down below shows up. He's in the hallway. He's got a jacket on. They're arguing. The family's arguing. The big, you know, bodybuilder is towering over the guy with a pair of scissors. Well, the shorter guy that came up to complain, he pulls out a gun, a handgun. The father immediately retreats. Doesn't matter. This guy starts blasting away. He shoots the dad multiple times. It's all caught on camera. The son, the stepson, tries to get away. He executes the stepson, pumps him full of bullets, and then he goes over to the dad, who's trying to get up. He's fallen by the door and puts a couple more bullets in his head for good measure. I mean, it was a stone cold execution. And there was a big debate on social media about whether or not it was self -defense or not. Well, of course it wasn't self -defense. He executed them. He's arguing with them about noise in an apartment. Now a family is shattered. And the breaking news, the reason I'm telling you this whole story is there is some news. They got the guy. Police shot him at a traffic stop moments ago in Brooklyn. The 47 -year -old suspect, Jason Pass, was in a car when police got a hit on his license plate. They performed a traffic stop, at which point the situation took a violent turn. He charged at the cops with a knife. They shot him. He's been rushed to an area hospital in critical condition. So everybody's lives are... And there's a moral to the story here. And the reason I think it's important to talk about it is more and more people are arming themselves. It's inevitable. Look at the world around us. Listen, I'm starting up the process again here in Florida. Years ago, I got a concealed carry permit course that I took in South Carolina. But you know, it's been years. I was living in New York City. You sure aren't supposed to have a gun in New York. And now that I'm a Florida resident, I'm going to be armed. You were there with Mike Lindell through thick and through thin. You appreciate that Mike has been targeted and they've tried to stop him. Thinking Crypto News & Interviews
A highlight from BITCOIN & ALTCOINS LOOK BULLISH AS FED PAUSES RATE HIKES!! PAYPAL CRYPTO UK
"Welcome to the Thinking Crypto Podcast, your home for cryptocurrency news and interviews. If you are new here, please hit that subscribe button as well as the thumbs up button and leave a comment below. If you're listening on a podcast platform such as Spotify, Apple or Google, please leave a five star rating and review. It supports the podcast and it doesn't cost you anything. Well, folks, we got big news today that the Federal Reserve is not going to raise rates. They're pausing once again and maintaining the rates at the current level. I think this is bullish. I think if something was about to break, they would start cutting rates, but they once again are pausing. So I think the markets are going to see this as a bullish sign, but we'll have to wait and see. There's usually a lot of volatility the day and week of any type of Fed announcement. So just a heads up on this. And you know, my hope or what I've been talking about for a long time is that they can't continue quantitative tightening or they're going to destroy the entire economy, which would be Armageddon. Right. Because then people will be killing each other in the streets for food and much more. Obviously they can't do that. They're going to take it as far as they can, you know, to kind of cool inflation. But at some point they got to stop. And then I believe they're going to start quantitative easing again next year, printing more money. We're seeing they're doing it already from a global standpoint. You know, recently we talked about China injecting a whole ton of money into their banking system and so forth. So global liquidity is on the rise and we're seeing Bitcoin rising with it along with altcoins. So interesting that, you know, all these things are taking place as Bitcoin has been moving upwards. And speaking of moving upwards, Bitcoin looks like it wants to go to 36 ,000. Right now it's at 35 ,400. Well actually CoinMarketCap says $534. So looking strong, ETH looks like it wants to go to $1 ,900. It's at $1 ,846, BNB at $228, XRP close to 61 cents, Solana really pumping. It's at $41, Cardano at 30 cents. So we're looking good here, folks. And as we've been talking about for months on months, we are tracking Bitcoin's retracement move, right? Looking to go to $40 ,000 to $50 ,000 range. My hope is it goes to $50 ,000, but that's less likely. Maybe it tops out at $48 ,000 or some say it may top out at $40 ,000. We'll have to wait and see. Nevertheless, I will be taking profits if Bitcoin hits $40 ,000. And here, Raoul Pal, macro investor, who I had on the podcast just last month, said technically speaking ETH is a gorgeous, gorgeous chart and ETH is primed for a move, a strong movement. As we talked about many times, the liquidity flows to Bitcoin, then it trickles down to the altcoins. And of course it starts with Ethereum, right? Now one could argue Solana and Chainlink and these specific altcoins were leading a lot of the altcoin rally, but we know they're going to hit their overbought indicator. And then liquidity is going to flow to other alts, so other alts will pop off. So we got to be patient and set our price targets for exit. And I'm personally going to be taking profits on Ethereum as soon as it hits $3K and it goes above. So for Bitcoin, $40K and above, ETH $3K and above. So that's my strategy. I personally think that we are not going to new all -time highs here. This is a retracement move similar to what took place in 2019. You're not going to new all -time highs, but you're having a retracement rally. And part of why I am not in the camp of Bitcoin's going to new all -time highs is the stock market does not look good, folks. The stock market looks bearish. And I think Bitcoin and crypto lagged a bit behind the stock market. And I think there's going to be a correction. Now I'm not saying it's the end of the world. Corrections are great for buying the dips, right? Buy the blood on the streets. And then we're going to be in this slow, steady grind going up into new all -time highs, possibly at the end of 2024 into 2025. I think definitely we see new all -time highs in 2025, at which point I'll be taking profits once again, because I'm here to make money. So that's my thesis. That's my plan. That's what I'm thinking. Not financial advice. I don't have a crystal ball, but I'm looking at the both the bullish and the bearish scenario. And right now the bullish looks like it has the higher probability of playing out, folks. So looking good. And you know, we got other folks, other macro investors and institutional investors releasing charts showing the move to new all -time highs in later 2024 to 2025. So here, Jurien Timmer of Fidelity, he's director of global macro at Fidelity, said Bitcoin is on the move again, following the pattern of previous boom bust cycles so far. What to make of it? Let's revisit my thesis from the late 2020. In my view, Bitcoin is a commodity currency that inspires to be a store of value and a hedge against monetary debasement. I think of it as exponential gold. Wow. What a statement. Gold is money, of course, but it's too deflationary and clunky to be used as a medium of exchange. Hence investors own it primarily as a store of value. And one of the many reasons Bitcoin is often compared to gold historically during these structural regimes in which inflation runs hot, real rates are negative and or money supply is excessive. Gold tends to shine and gain market share relative to GDP. Notable example is the 1970s and the 2000s. Yes, gold was a great bet in those time periods, right? But now crypto is here. And as Paul Tudor Jones said, it's the fastest horse in the race. And it's also hard cap, right? Bitcoin is only going to be 21 million. So many of these cryptocurrencies are deflationary. There's a burn system in place. Some coins are lost forever. I think we all know the principles there. While gold, they keep mining gold, right? And in 30 years from now, maybe they're going to be mining off the asteroids in space and getting gold there. So gold supply keeps inflating, not as much as fiat currency, obviously. It's much more at a slower pace. So it's still a good hedge. Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying gold sucks. It's still a good hedge, but I think we see the upside in crypto to be much higher given that it's on the blockchain. It has greater principles than gold and it can be fractionalized. And that means anyone across the globe can put money into the asset class. And obviously that's incredible for the price and the adoption and the growth of it, right? Jurien wraps up saying, can Bitcoin be a player on the same team? I think the potential is there. More on this thread tomorrow. So we shall see what else he puts out. But folks, I think some of the smartest minds in the world are saying this is the feature of investing and a lot of great things are playing out here, folks. So I'm excited. The next bull cycle is coming around. We're going to be out of this quantitative tightening and recession and high interest rates. We will go back to quantitative easing, folks. As I've said many times, the system is based on debt. It is a debt -based system. They have to continue to print money. They will cool down things and try to get things to calm down after excessive printing. And they'll do their things to cool down inflation, but make no mistake about it, they're going to go back to printing money. Now folks, we got some very bullish news around PayPal. So PayPal UK unit registers as crypto service provider. The financial conduct authorities approval means the payments firm can offer certain crypto services and advertise to local clients. Folks, this is huge on and off ramps being built globally. And PayPal we know has a huge customer base. Remember, they also have Venmo and in the United States, they launch their crypto trading services so you can buy and sell on PayPal. But also a few months back, they launched a stable coin on the Ethereum blockchain. So they're all in on crypto and they're looking to expand.

Mike Gallagher Podcast
A highlight from More Americans are Protecting Themselves
"This is your source for breaking news and what to make of it all. This is the Mike Gallagher Show. The father has eye gouged out before they were executed and then their executioner sat down and had a meal and no nation could tolerate that. Look this is a matter of good versus evil. I think this is kind of a new sickness that we're seeing in these college campuses. They're finding out that you know what actually the guy with the mean tweets was not that bad if it means we don't have a war in Ukraine, we don't have a war in the Middle East, we don't have you know an open border. Now from the ReliefFactor .com studios here's Mike Gallagher. There's some breaking news out of New York City. Maybe you've seen the ghastly video of a neighbor in an apartment building who executed a father and his stepson over a dispute regarding noise. It was all captured on closed circuit surveillance video. It's awful. I don't want to play it. If you're watching on Salem News Channel maybe we can send the video out if you like that you know or appreciate that kind of gore. It's awful. I mean this guy came with a gun ready to confront this family. There had apparently been a history of arguing between these two tenants of the apartment building. I think it was in Brooklyn and the family comes out to confront the guy. He's wearing a jacket. He's dressed all in black and the closed circuit surveillance cameras are just crystal clear. One thing about this closed circuit TVs now, I mean the video quality is as good as anything you see on a TV network. I mean you can get these ring cameras and everything and they're a real good deterrent I think for criminals because they work well. I've got a whole set of them at a property that I own and you can see everything and it automatically. records If there's movement, you can set all kinds of settings. Anyway, they had a closed circuit camera in the hallway of this apartment building. This guy is waiting. He's pacing. They're arguing. The dad comes out and he's very threatening. He's apparently a bodybuilder. The father was this big, hulking, muscular, tall guy. He storms out with a pair of scissors in his hand and they're arguing about the noise. According to news reports, you know what the noise was? The family that the other guy was objecting to, they lived above this guy and they didn't have carpeting on the floor. Whenever they walked, they were walking on wood floors and it made a lot of noise and it just aggravated the guy down below. The guy down below shows up. He's in the hallway. He's got a jacket on. They're arguing. The family is arguing. The big bodybuilder is towering over the guy with a pair of scissors. Well, the shorter guy that came up to complain, he pulls out a gun, a handgun. The father immediately retreats. It doesn't matter. This guy starts blasting away. He shoots the dad multiple times. It's all caught on camera. The son, the stepson, tries to get away. He executes the stepson, pumps him full of bullets, and then he goes over to the dad who's trying to get up. He's fallen by the door and puts a couple more bullets in his head for good measure. I mean, it was a stone cold execution and there was a big debate on social media about whether or not it was self -defense or not. Well, of course it wasn't self -defense. He executed them. He's arguing with them about noise in an apartment. Now the family is shattered and the breaking news, the reason I'm telling you this whole story is there is some news. They got the guy. Police shot him at a traffic stop moments ago in Brooklyn. The 47 -year -old suspect, Jason Pass, was in a car when police got a hit on his license plate. They performed a traffic stop at which point the situation took a violent turn. He charged at the cops with a knife. They shot him. He's been rushed to an area hospital in critical condition. So everybody's lives are – and there's a moral to the story here. The reason I think it's important to talk about it is more and more people are arming themselves. It's inevitable. Look at the world around us. Listen, I'm starting up the process again here in Florida. Years ago, I got a concealed carry permit course that I took in South Carolina. But you know, it's been years. I was living in New York City. You sure aren't supposed to have a gun in New York. And now that I'm a Florida resident, I'm going to be armed and I'm going to take a course and I'm going to be prepared for whatever might come my way. But if you're going to be a gun owner, you got to be responsible. That doesn't mean it's the – you know, you should be in a shootout at the OK Corral. That doesn't mean you should sit around and execute a father and his son because you're arguing about noise in the apartment building. And if you execute somebody, you're going to go to jail forever as you should, I hope. I don't know. But that's the concern and I'm not oblivious to the fears that people who don't like guns and don't approve of the Second Amendment always have. They figure as people get armed and more and more people start carrying, there will be more incidents like this. And you know what I have to say to that? It's an awful thing to have to admit, but it's true. There will be irresponsible, negligent morons who are going to misuse their firearm. And you know, that unfortunately is part of the price we pay for a polite armed society. There are going to be people who abuse it. This guy clearly abused it. This guy needs to be – if he survives, the police shooting should spend the rest of his life in jail. It was a cold -blooded killing and he slaughtered two people over a stupid dispute. But again, ultimately, that's not going to prevent people, I don't think. Maybe it will. Maybe you will think twice about arming yourself. More and more Americans are purchasing firearms. More and more people are realizing if you don't protect yourself, no one will. More and more people are coming to the realization that they need to protect themselves. So make sure you're protected. Make sure you're armed if you so choose. And if you choose not to be armed, I don't mean to be a jerk here, but good luck. If you choose not to protect yourself, you're pretty much on your own. And with witnessing what we're witnessing in the country and all the evil we are seeing, how is it a leap to say after what they've been doing to the Jews that us Christians are next? And I would argue we already are. We're already on the chopping block. Already they're mocking the new house speaker, Mike Johnson, because he's apparently very religious. And Lord knows, nothing infuriates the left more than a religious Christian. And they hate Mike. They're going after Mike Johnson, the new speaker. Oh, he's going to cause the Republicans to lose the house. Everybody's going to turn against Republicans now because they have a Bible -believing Christian as the speaker of the house. I mean, that's absolutely what they're saying right now. So the same hatred that we're seeing exhibited towards Jews is going to be directed toward Christians. A lot of text messages coming in, including this one from Philly, situations like the one you just described in Brooklyn make me want to be armed even more. It's not a deterrent at all. I mean, watching people—I told you the story of that punk in Houston who was going up from behind people and slugging them as hard as he could. It makes me want to be armed more. And I'm not alone. I guarantee you, more and more Americans are saying, time for me to be protected. Welcome aboard. It's the first of November. We're in the Relief Factor studios. I hope you jump aboard and join us. The PhD weight loss and nutrition phone number is 800 -655 -MIKE. We have an open line for you. Are you considering getting armed when you look at the world around you? Has the Hamas terrorist attack against the Jews and all the anti -Semitism we're seeing in America caused you to consider becoming armed and making sure you're carrying a weapon, making sure you have a firearm or more, firearms in your home? Or do you think that's a mistake? Do you think it'll turn into a bloodbath? Unnecessary. 1 -800 -655 -MIKE, 16 past the hour. I hope you join me. Again, one open phone line. Let's put your voice front and center. Join me on this caller -driven Mike Gallagher Show, 800 -655 -6453.

A highlight from It's so over: Sam Bankman-Fried testifies (feat. Sam Kessler)
"Welcome back, everyone. I am Cas Pianci, and I'm joined as usual by my partner in crime, Mr. Bennett Tomlin. How are you today? I'm doing well. How are you, Cas? Fine. We're joined by a special guest who has been at the courthouse in some way, shape, or form the past week going and watching the Sam Bankman Freed trial, Sam Kessler from CoinDesk. How are you? Hello. Hello. Long time. First time. This is pretty cool. Thanks, Cas, and Bennett. We haven't recorded since any of the defense's witnesses have taken the stand, so I wanted to get us kicked off with those individuals, if we could, and what they were supposed to accomplish for the defense. We were talking about the, I guess it was the data scientist guy? Joseph Pimbley. So there was him and Crystal Roll, who's a Bohemian attorney who worked for, works for Sam. Yeah. Well, let's start with Pimbley, because it sounds boring in terms of what he was sent there to accomplish. Actually, can you explain what his goal was for the defense? Sounds boring, and it was boring remarkably compared to the rest of this trial, but essentially Pimbley is a data analyst who was hired on the behalf of Sam's team to come in and assemble some documents that show, I mean, it's hard to know exactly how they plan to use these document or these data, but essentially charts showing that Alameda liquidity and FTX liquidity was at a certain level over the course of 2021 through 2022, the fall of the exchange, that makes it look like there was more money on hand than what prosecutors would probably allege. Yeah, and we were all just kind of stunned at the prices this guy was able to get from essentially the Bankman -Fried family, I would assume that that's who's ultimately paying this man's bills. He did 73 hours of work or something and got paid $50 ,000, which is, I think all of us are kind of just wishing we had rates like that. Unfortunately, it sounds like he didn't help win any hearts or minds in terms of people there or the jury, I would presume. Yeah, I mean, it's hard to get into the mind of the jury, but I mean, the way that this went was essentially he presented these documents and then the prosecution came up and the main, I guess, thrust of the prosecution's questions or if you want to call it argument to the jury with their questions to Pimley was essentially, hey, where did these numbers come from? Oh, they came from Sam and his lawyers. So the database that you based all of your analysis on came directly from the client. Then there were several more questions after that and I think they actually belabored that too much and might have actually lost some sway with the jury as a result of that extensive questioning. I know the second one was you mentioned Christina Rolle. No, so it's funny. You said Christina Rolle. There is a Christina Rolle and there is no relation and there was a point made. Please. Yeah, go ahead. What was that point? Because that was what I was going to say too. What was the point that was made in court? So Christina Rolle is a very important Bahamian regulator kind of behind the country's embrace of crypto and Crystal Rolle is a unrelated, which she made very clear because Rolle in her telling is a very common name there, she is an unrelated lawyer who works for Sam and accompanied him when he talked to the Securities Commission of the Bahamas, if I'm getting the name of the agency correctly. Yeah. And just to add some color to what you just said is that from what I heard, Rolle is actually the most common Bahamian surname out there, like the first or second most common Bahamian surname and which like I'm, I don't know. That's just all of these weird little things that I'm fascinated by. There were three Rolle's in her testimony alone that she had to distinguish. So I heard that that also was a pretty unsuccessful defense tactic in so far as her role in all of this was only post -collapse, which kind of negates a bit of what she's saying and why it matters. Can you expand on that for me? I mean, with a lot of this stuff, they're asking a lot of questions that are they being lawyers from both sides that can seem disjointed and sometimes it's because they want to enter things into the record, sometimes it's because they want to tee up other questions that they're going to ask Sam during his testimony, which we'll talk about in a little bit. And I think that her main goal was to corroborate the timeline and substance of his meetings with Bahamian regulators. One kind of contentious thing is just that, you know, Sam essentially froze a bunch of money or took a bunch of frozen money and gave it to, you know, the Bahamas in a very, you know, bad summary of how that worked. But, you know, it can seem like a sort of cynical thing that he was willing to kind of kowtow to the Bahamians in order to, in the view of prosecutors, I'm sure get preferential treatment there. But I think part of her goal, Crystal Rolle's goal with her testimony was to kind of communicate, hey, if he didn't do these things that the Bahamas wanted him to do, he would have gone to prison or faced severe penalties. I mean, that gets us through the first the first expert witnesses. Do you have any more questions about them Bennett? No, my first questions start on Bankman -Fried. Then let's jump into the the weird circumstances of you called it a mock trial. I mean, I, I guess I don't really it's all on record still, but it is without a jury present and everyone seemed a little stunned by that. Essentially without going into the legal details, because, A, nobody wants to get super deep into that and B, I don't understand it as a journalist, not a lawyer.

The Bitboy Crypto Podcast
A highlight from $16 Trillion Dollars Will Flow into Crypto! (US Treasury Has a SECRET WEAPON)
"In this video, we're gonna take a close look at one of the biggest catalysts imaginable for the next crypto bull run, real world assets. There is an avalanche of trillions of dollars that is waiting to flow into crypto right now and it's knocking at our door. The tokenization of real world assets has been a vague path to imagine, but now some of the largest managers and banks in the world have made this process crystal clear. Welcome to Discover Crypto. I'm Drew, here to bring you the truth. Real world assets or RWA as the term has been coined, have quickly gained notoriety among some of the largest institutions in finance on the planet, such as Swift, BlackRock, VanEck and JP Morgan. Not only will they transform our bags into thick juicy gains if we're early and paying attention to the right projects, this will also change our day -to -day lives in a profound manner on what we can invest in. I'm gonna tokenize my toaster. Now, tokenization of real world assets can come in many different forms. As companies embark on this journey, a clear roadmap of accurate data in real time is a must. This is where Chainlink has carved out an insanely bullish niche in focusing on data aggregation and horrible networking. This provides reliable data feeds to smart contracts and is an important key hurdle for us to make it over if we want to see this come to reality because tracking the value of underlying assets and ensuring that that trade is executed fairly is at the top of the list of importance for this transformation. This is why Swift has partnered up with the CCIP program of Chainlink to ensure that data's accuracy. Another project I'm closely monitoring in the RWA realm is MakerDAO and it's SDIE or stake DAI stablecoin. This gives people access to getting yield off of treasury bills. Yes, you heard that right. A stablecoin connected to T -bills through RWA that gives anyone on the planet access 24 seven with little to no fees, completely circumventing third -party brokers and dealers at the touch of a button with as little as a few dollars. The implications of treasury bills being expanded to the entire world at this level are dramatic. MakerDAO was able to tokenize treasury bills by using a process called collateralized debt positions or CDPs which allow for users to deposit collateral and borrow DAI against it. In the case of these treasury bills, users can deposit T -bills into a CDP and borrow DAI against that. The DAI can then be used to invest in other assets or can be converted back into US dollars. The tokenization of treasury bills by MakerDAO was a massive development that has still largely been overlooked. It has showcased other projects that are now on board in practice that this is possible to successfully tokenize real -world assets with one of the most powerful financial systems on the planet. Now, projects offering these treasury backed tokens are helping simultaneously the government that is looking to offload less than desirable treasuries which have recently spiked to a two decade high at over 5 % and continuing to rise. This is a signal that it is getting harder to find buyers of fresh United States debt. We are very early in the discovery of RWA, so it makes sense to take time in implementing something new into major financial systems and taking care when doing so. Rest assured, once this debacle with the SEC is settled and market receives a clear guidance on what compliance will actually look like, there will be a monumental move of capital flowing into the blockchain ecosystem. This need for regulatory clarity is on the top of the mind for congressional members who have taken a keen interest in ensuring American competitiveness. This is an exciting advancement in finance that has led to many top analysts calling for the tokenized asset market cap to hit $16 trillion by 2030. That's not too far away. The total market cap for hyper -focused RWA projects sits at a mere $350 million market cap. There is plenty of room to grow for this crypto sector. Real estate, vehicles, T -bills, and of course, fine art are being tokenized on the blockchain as we speak. These projects that are set up with tokenized assets of tangible goods, backing their liquidity pools and the total value locked will likely have much, much favor from major banks and corporations that are looking to vet out different blockchains to fit into their future needs. The true advantages of these projects will only be told with the tale of time. We witnessed many vaporware projects vanish into the night during the past bear market. Just imagine if some of them had hard assets backing the project instead of a basket of deep crypto picks as we recently saw with Terra Luna, FTT, and Celsius. There are many lesser known projects within the RWA narrative that have explosive potential, but one must keep in mind these projects are shooting for the moon. And if you're shooting for the moon, some arrows will fall short of their target. So always do in -depth research and due diligence on any new hot pick you might have come across in your travels and drop a comment down below to let us know what projects are on your radar that you would like us to see a deep dive into. Thanks for joining me on Discover Crypto today. I'll see you next week.

A highlight from SBF TRIAL Podcast 10/26: Sam Bankman-Fried Will Testify In His Own Criminal Trial Today
"Welcome to the SBF trial, a Coindesk podcast network newsletter bringing you daily insights from inside the courtroom where Sam Bankman -Fried will try to stay out of prison. Follow the Coindesk podcast network to get the audio each morning with content from the Coindesk regulation team and voiced by Wondercraft AI. You've likely already heard the news. Sam Bankman -Fried is going to testify in his own criminal trial, probably later today. But what's he going to say? We really have no idea. He's said so much, or is it so little, already? In the month between FTX's collapse and his arrest in the Bahamas, Sam spun a story for the cameras of the world. In his telling, the crypto exchange's early November meltdown wasn't because it had illegally loaned billions of dollars of customer deposits to his hedge fund Alameda, or maybe it was. But if it was, he sort of didn't know about it. Here's generally what he said. In 2022, the crypto market imploded. Alameda took a hit. It definitely had some FTX customer money, a bunch of which it was allowed to have, and then a whole bunch of money disappeared. Who's to say who knew what? Not him. Not really. I was vaguely aware, Sam Bankman -Fried said during his halting December 1st, 2022 interview with George Stephanopoulos, portions of which have been played during the trial. Few familiar with the crypto industry believed him. I doubt anyone else did either. Nevertheless, two factors were going for Sam at the time. One, he was operating in a low information environment, and two, he wasn't under oath. Both factors are now invalidated and reversed. They work against him as he takes the stand. Let's call his tale to as many normal people as possible. He assumed a unique position of authority as to FTX and its downfall. Sure, there were press reports that hinted at nefarious deals, like Caroline's alleged tell -all to employees of Alameda, but those were all hearsay. Against that, Sam's heady opportunity to be a first -person narrator. Caroline wasn't saying her side directly to the public. He could, so he did. The story he gave to GMA was not convincing. His long pauses bled into hardly artful dodges of difficult questions. Sam admitted he felt absolutely terrible that a lot of people got hurt by the company's implosion, and he wished he took, like, a lot more responsibility for understanding what the details were, what was going on at Alameda, rather than leave it to others like the lawyers. What Sam could not provide in answers, he tried to make up for with solutions. Weeks after resigning from the bankrupt FTX, he told GMA's audience that he was trying to focus on what he could do going forward to be helpful for his failed company. For what it's worth, FTX's new CEO, Enron John Ray III, wanted nothing to do with Sam and ignored his emails and texts. Stephanopoulos pushed and pushed Sam on whether he knew about Alameda robbing FTX's piggy bank, as the press alleged Caroline had said he did. Refusing to take Sam's dodging, the interviewer conjured up a prescient scenario. We'll transcribe it here. Stephanopoulos, if she's in court and you're in court and she's under oath and you're under oath and you're asked, did you know that these funds were being funneled to Alameda? What is your answer? Sam pauses for eight seconds. Sam, I did not know that there was any improper use of customer funds. Over the last three weeks at trial, we've learned that Sam knew about the secret loan arrangement. Not only that he knew, but that he ordered code to be written that allowed it to happen. Not only that he orchestrated it, but that he hid it from his lawyers, that he ignored their pleas to shut off the customer fund valve, that he spent their money on his business, on other businesses, on loan payments, on sponsorships, on apartments and island houses. In the spirit of Stephanopoulos's question, we'll focus on what Caroline said under oath on October 11th. Caroline, he was the one who set up the systems that allowed Alameda to take the money and he was the one who directed us to take customer money to repay our loans. So what's Sam going to say under oath? We really have no idea. The Department of Justice has one last witness, FBI agent Mark Troiano. He'll testify that Bankman Fried was in about 200 different group chats which had auto delete enabled. The DOJ thinks direct examination will take maybe 30 minutes and the defense thinks 10 minutes max. Once that's done, a little past 10 o 'clock a .m. Eastern time, the defense starts its turn and plans to call Crystal Roll, a Bahamas attorney who represented Bankman Fried and was present at a meeting with the country's securities regulator that former FTX executive Gary Wang testified about. There's a little just heard about Roll and the judge has ordered the defense to provide more information. Defense attorney Mark Cohen thinks Rolla will take maybe 30 minutes on direct examination. Joseph Pimbly, the proposed expert witness, will take maybe 20 minutes max on direct examination and possibly around the same again for cross -examination. The defense has a third witness who'd point out there were over a dozen lawyers in the various group chats Bankman Fried was part of, though Cohen said he's hoping for a stipulation with the DOJ to make that testimony unnecessary. The DOJ's Nicholas Rose doesn't think the information is even admissible. For those of you doing the math, all these witnesses may be done by as soon as 1130 a .m. and that brings us to the man of the hour, Sam Bankman Fried himself. As noted above, he has said quite a lot about what he thinks happened with FTX and the defense clearly wants to continue pushing its position that he didn't intend to defraud customers or investors and things just kind of spiraled. For the first time in a while, Bankman Fried will have an opportunity to do just that. Want to follow along? "Home viewpoint and it empowers you to be more of a catalyst for positive change rather than feeling victimized by all the things that are out of our control right now. Yes. Yes. Well, something else I found interesting is crystal children. They tend to be naturally telepathic, meaning they can read or send thoughts easily. And because of this, many crystal children have delayed speech with the majority waiting until age three or four to fully talk. They are very cuddly and communicative and carrying as children, their kind loving and sensitive, their intelligent, their natural healers and gifted psychics, they love to give spontaneous hugs, as children, they will say very deep words of wisdom and will be drawn to all things spiritual, as we said they love playing with rocks and stones. They love nature, deep connection with animals. They know what to say and maybe just as importantly what not to say and they appear much wiser than their years. They're very sensitive and empathic. They don't like to perform under pressure and they will often resist competitive situations. So crystal children, for example, they might not be your soccer player. They might not be best in a football team. They're not to say that they're not team players. They just don't like that pressure to perform and that I'm going to beat you. You know, that type of energy, we're going to win. Their mission on earth is to build an energy of love and acceptance. The indigos, if we wanted to kind of characterize it, they have more of that warrior spirit. And they came into uproot the old structures and really they're holding the torch and lighting the way. And then they're bringing in behind them or the crystals who are a little more even tempered. They're more peace loving. They're more sensitive and empathic. So I think then it leaks into the rainbow children in a lot of crystal children adults may have a rainbow child. That may be their child. They may be with a parent of a rainbow child. Okay, here's what I read about rainbows. They will never incarnate into a.

"I'm interviewing the wonderful amazing nicholas pearson. Nicholas is is a colleague who became a friend over the years. We first met many years back. I couldn't even tell you how long ago now at a conference in ohio and we connected over our love of crystals and we have stayed in touch ever since and i love nicholas dearly as a person just is amazing human but also deeply respect and admire him as a crystal worker as someone who values not only the metaphysics of crystals but also the science and can really dig into both of these things with equal passion. And i think that that's rare in the crystal world and something that i really admire so in this interview today. Nicholas and i are chatting about the ethics of crystals the ethics of mining crystals acquiring crystals bind selling crystals What it really means for a little to ethically sourced. Because i think this is something that we see. This label used a little bit too freely in crystal world right now this term ethical and although i would absolutely be thrilled if all the crystals on the market could be ethical. The truth is that they can't they can't all be and and niklas really breaks this down in super clear example of what it would mean to have about as one hundred percent close to an ethically source crystal as you can get and it might surprise you. What might qualify as an ethically sourced crystal through that lens But we'll also be talking about our personal responsibility as consumers Existing within a capitalist society existing with an the norms of capitalism and the tendency for exploitation of extraction the roots that capitalism has tied into white supremacy. It is really a fascinating conversation. Something that i hope will get you thinking about your crystals and minerals and then we also kind of talk about the flip side. You know why. There's a kind of a big spotlight on the ethics of crystals when they make up such a very small and predominantly secondary part of the mining industry. As a whole so. This is quite a long interview and a truly important one. And because i really want you to listen to the whole thing and this is a long episode This week i'll be skipping our..

"Just stunning so please give that a look. Even though it's it's been old. I think it's still worth checking out if you can't make it to denver to visit that museum yourself. So in the second. Half of the video i show the alma king which is one specific crystal that was discovered in colorado's sweet home mine in about nineteen ninety nine hundred ninety one and it's the world's largest run across site crystals so definitely give that a look. It is gorgeous so if you want to see that video you can just Head over to youtube and look for my channel love in light school and just do a search for colorado's wrote across site crystals from the denver museum of nature and science so after that little tangent. I did want to share a little bit more about crow site so like roy night similar to row tonight. The companion christopher wrote across i wrote across is an or of manganese now although there again really similar in color you can usually tell them apart they also have different growth habit so wrote across site frequently forms in kind of stalag tick type shape so it shows really distinctive banding when it sliced. That's pretty cool. Eeoc those in the video. That i'm posting this week. I have a few small pieces. That look like a really cool. Like tree rings slices but all in pink and white they can also take on that deep dark. Magenta almost read jemmy semi translucent form. Now if you didn't know this another name for roh crow side. An older name is inca rose and it said in some historical sources that the income people believed it to be petrified blood of ancestral kings and queens and they use the stone for funerary jewelry and items. It often is found near silver or so. Sometimes you'll even see these two combined into jewelry and ornate items There are still really large quantities of right across site that were left behind in incan silver mines even after all of these artistic pieces and adornments had been created has part of the silver mining industry. it's kind of interesting. There's several chemical constituents in roco site that supposedly interfere with silver mining. Probably with the smelting process. So in the us and europe wrote across site as a byproduct from the silver mining industry used to get tossed into the slag heap the rubble pile until modern rock. Hones started picking up for collector. Specimens jewelry and other decorative uses because of its color motocross. I the national stone of argentina. Where some of the very best specimens in the world come from and in south america. It's even said that somewhere under the andes. Mountains lies a giant heart-shaped piece of road across site which beats once every two hundred years so some really interesting mythology and lower there so quite an interesting crystal on. "Well that leads us to our main topic for today the healing properties of road across site. Now as you know. I was like to start these healing properties episodes with an affirmation for working with each crystal. And here's what came through. Run across is a minimum warn new and might seem like a strange one definitely a little bit different than most of them But i'll explain in just a moment. So here's the affirmation. I call forth inner crystal healer and i go deeper with my crystals than ever before now. It might seem weirdly specific. But here's the thing. Ronan crow site has this ability to open us to such deep compassion and empathy. And if you know about the way that. I teach in the way that i view healing work It rests on the three pillars of my crystal immersion method. So there's intuition compassion and confidence and feel like our compassion. Our empathy thing that connects us to the world that can access to humanity is so important for our work and our growth as healers so it really ties into this affirmation about calling forth your inner healer and connecting with your crystals in a deeper way now wrote across site In historical use has been said to stimulate memory But i found it really helps encourage you to rise to your full potential. So you know. I don't mean this in like a dream chasing running yourself. Ragged yourself kind of way. This isn't about like pushing yourself into uncomfortable. Territory is just being honest and kind of looking at areas of your life and going. What do i really want for myself. And this is your full potential. Meaning what you want for yourselves.

"And you can just click in the search box type in malachi and it'll be the first result that comes up and you can see in that blog post there even some pictures of malachite from my personal collection and some of it is combined with chris. Cola azure i and more so it's kind of interesting to see and i share a video on that post as well talking about working with malachite. I self love but in particular. I find when you bring together. The qualities of malachi an azure one of the things that this duo is best for is nature connection and healing the earth. So as we move into the spring here in the northern hemisphere Probably some places. Are you know preparing for summer already. Not quite the case. Here in wisconsin but this is a great time to kind of reflect on earth healing. We've just celebrated earth day a couple of weeks ago. And you know really asking yourself how you can make any even small changes in your own day to day about being more eco friendly more sustainable and showing some love to mother earth. So jay definitely go back. Check out that blog post on malachite and watch the video. Read through everything and kind of think about your cluster. Your address malachi. Cluster has exhibiting properties from both of those stones. And like i mentioned that would kind of go for any combination crystal for example. Something like ona. Kite is we caught a crystal technically. What it is is a rock. Because it's made of two or more minerals so in una kite you have the green which comes from epa dote and the peach which comes from feld spar so although a kite has kind of its own inherent qualities and associated properties. It would also draw on the of the green apple and peach felt spar so just another example of where we see that well. I hope that helps answer your question. "Your soul calling with crystals. Hello and thank you so much for joining me for the love and light live. Podcast brought to you by love and light. School dot com. I'm your host ashley and this podcast. Is the number one place for all things. Crystals in today's show will explore the healing properties of blue cal. Sidney yes you heard that right cal. Sydney not chelsea tony. This is crystal four soothing and support but before we get started. I'd like to answer one of our listener questions. Remember you can submit your own question anytime at love and light. School dot com slash. Ask for the chance to have your question answered right here on the show. Today's question comes from yuna and unit asks. How do i pair or group crystals together so that they work well together. You know. this is a great question. So what i like to kind of. Tell people first of all that there are no two crystals that don't work well together inherently sometimes you'll read or hear from other people. Oh you should never put such and such with this other crystal. Well that in and of itself doesn't make much sense to me. Here's the deal. They're all here on this earth together and in my opinion energetically. There's really no difference there then having them in the same room and i don't think that there are any two crystals that shouldn't be used together however. I think that your intention is really what matters here this is. What kind of precludes us from working with two different stones that may have opposing energies. And what do i mean by opposing. Energies will again. This is really based on your intention. You wouldn't want to use won crystal to help you sleep right next to and along with another crystal to help energize you. That's going to be a little bit counterproductive. So when it comes to crystals that you should pair together that were together well really just think about your intention. What is it that you're trying to do or trying to accomplish. What are you hope for with the outcome of your crystal practice and choose crystals that will really support you in that work. It doesn't matter if a crystal has an inherent quality. That can be really energizing if that's not how you're working with it in that moment so you really guide the energy of the crystal with your conscious intention now. Does the crystal kind of always still have those inherent qualities of course but when you're guiding the crystal through your intention you're helping to ensure that your body mind and spirit receive the benefits center for your highest good if you have a question that you'd like me to answer for you about crystals spirituality or anything.

"Has just begun huge on tiktok right now and because of that. There's so much added pressure increased demand from old by. There's a lot of controversy about this stone. But thing that i wanted to talk to you about given that it has skyrocketed back into being particularly popular. And you know with all these like viral videos and stuff happening about it as i wanted to talk to you about fake multi because along with the increase in popularity of the stone comes an increase in fakes. Because this is a really rare stone. It's only in one. Location comes from the czech republic and the moldau river valley and a few years ago. We were lucky enough to have a guest post contribution to our blog from intervision crystals. All about how to spot fake modified and so really interesting read so if this is a crystal you're interested in and if you're thinking about buying one but you're not exactly sure what to look for or who to trust in your a little bit freaked out about buying and getting taken advantage of putting out you know quite a bit of money because it can be pricy for what could be a fake stone. "Answered right here on the show. Today's question comes from kansas and kansas asks. How can you explore the astral plane using crystals which crystal in your opinion is best. So i've talked about this a little bit before in terms of this idea of best crystals so i just want to address this quickly and then i will get right into your question candice. There's no really one best crystal for anything. There's only what's best for you and that's going to be different for each and every one of us because we're all unique beans. We're all individuals but in terms of crystals that might help with some exploration of the astral plane so in terms of crystals for accessing the akasha records crystals for dreamworks lucid dreaming. There are a few that. come to mind. So celeste tight is definitely one that i've personally worked with and had really good luck with when it came to dream work so when i say dream work for me that really means kind of going to bed with the intention of asking for a dream that will provide me with some insight into a question that i have a challenge that i'm facing decision. I need to make and of course a lot of this is really open to your personal interpretation upon waking and remembering colleen as much of your dream as possible and then actually interpreting that dream. But i find that celeste i. It really helps me kind of create space for that intention when moving into the dream state when falling asleep it just kind of axes this point of focus so i would definitely say for plane. Work celeste tight. There's also sell a night which can kind of enhance your focus and The specific work that you're doing and the astral plane whatever that may be if you're more into lucid dream work lucid dreaming. You may want to explore with something like moldova. Which i know. There's like a lot of push us motivate right now. It's like had this resurgence in popularity. So that's one but her calmer diamond is also great for this or if moldova is a little bit too much out of your budget or you are unsure about buying it. Because you're afraid of getting fakes. You could also work with some tektite. So multi actually is a green variety of tights. The only green variety But there are all sorts of like black brown tech deitz. That can be worked with as well a lot of the really beautiful ones coming from asia and I would say that those would be great ones for working with the energies of the astral plane. You can also try working with things like laboratory. I or black moonstone. If you're more interested in connecting with the cautious record part of the astral plane. That's something. I definitely have a lot less experience with but those two stones are Pretty closely aligned with that work. And i'd say have a tradition of use that way at least in modern crystal healing so candice. I hope that helps answer your question. Thank you so much for taking the time to submit it and remember if you have a question that you like me to answer for you about crystals spirituality or anything else. You're curious about right now. Let me know over at love and light school dot com slash ask. The crystal healing certification program is coming soon. Wanna know more for info free training and to get on the list go to crystal healer school dot com. And now it's time to dive into our main topic for today. A crystal layout for shielding your energy body now. This is actually a layout that. I've adapted just a little bit from my book. Crystals for energy healing a practical source book of one hundred crystals and you can pick up signed copies of this book from my shop at mimosa. Spirit dot com or you can get anywhere. Books are sold. So let's dive into this layout for protection and shielding your energy body now. Keeping yourself energetically protected is an important part of health and wellness so setting boundaries is a big part of this work and crystals can definitely help to energetically support you during this process and the crystal layout that. I'm sharing here in this episode. Today can help to energetically shield your aura from the energy of others or from outside energies in your environment. And when you work more preventatively to keep yourself energetically protected you keep yourself from being depleted. And this helps you be better able to stay in balance and alignment so the first crystals that will place as part of this layout helped to remove outside energy from your aura so you can start creating this layout by placing a vertical line of four smoky quartz crystals on either side of your body for a total of eight stones and these are going to be placed in two separate lines going from the feet all the way up to the head on either side of your body so creating kind of a straight line up and down on the left side and on the right side four stones on each now. If you don't have eight smoky quartz crystals you can go ahead and use any crystals that really helped dissolve or disintegrate outside energies so smoky courts of course is one you could also try working with red garnet black obsidian or dry terminally by removing this energy. You help bring your own energy back into balance so that you're better able to deal with any new incoming energies as they emerge rather than feeling somewhat overwhelmed. And if you don't have eight of all the same stones. Try using a mixture of the stones that i mentioned. Or if you don't have that many stones altogether maybe just go to placing those crystals in the four corners around the body. Instead of two straight lines Omit the middle two stones each line and just have to on either side of the head and two on either side below the feet and that still help. Create that shield but allows you to kind of work in adaptive sleigh out to what you might have on hand next is to kind of protect yourself from new incoming energy so here i wreck unplaced like a touchstone that we were just talking about a few inches above your head to help create a psychic shield around your aura. Then you can place of hematite between and just blow your feet to help keep you grounded and connected to the earth because when you really rooted into the earth it kind of allows you to pull in this continuous stream of energy into your field to keep your energy reserves really full so that you don't get easily depleted so if you don't have tektite i recommend replacing this with labrador i green term malene or parrado. And if you don't have hematite you can use any grounding. Crystal lake smoky quartz petrified wood. Red jasper black lean. Any of those would be just fine then finally in each of your hands. You can hold a piece of labrador rights. You'll only two pieces. Total one for each hand to shield your physical and energetic bodies picking up these outside energies and this is really especially helpful for those who are highly sensitive or for those who have trouble setting boundaries. Now if you don't have to pieces of laboratory to work with you can just have one piece of laboratory and hold it in your hands and kind of rest them over your belly rather than having them at your sides or you can even substitute the laboratory with something like black traveling or black of city and that also helps with that boundary setting now. I wanna talk about here. The importance of adapting these layout recipes or grit recipes that you hear about from people like me in the podcast or in my books are from other books or youtube videos courses. You might be taking. I think that you know. Having these ready-made goto recipes is helpful. Because it helps you stand. How the crystals work together why they're placed were there placed but ultimately you know. Don't hesitate to adapt things to what you have on hand to what your intuition is guiding you to do because there is absolutely nothing wrong with making some adjustments to suit your needs. So if you don't have time to do a whole full big crystal layout maybe you want to just try something that simplifies this practice. Because then at least you're still doing something to provide you with that feeling of protection and boundary setting without having to take the time to do a layout so if you're in need of some quick support with shielding or boundary setting try just holding elaborate stone in your hands or if you have to maybe one in each hand because doing something small like this is much better than doing nothing all because you don't have the time or space to do a full layout you might even find it helpful to keep a piece of laboratory with you Any time the need might arise you reach in your pocket or in your handbag backpack and pull out this laboratory at crystal and really tune into its energy but you can also take it a step further and keep things even more convenient but with a piece of laboratory jewelry so maybe a nice laboratory pendant or even a bracelet to us in a pinch. Sometimes this is just about keeping things practical so know what you're most likely to do. What's going to work for you and what you're going to kind of not make time for if it seems like too much of a hassle and find ways to simplify things to sue. Now i've also made or released special video for you kind of a time lapse video of doing this little protection layout with a few added surprises and bonuses. And i don't want to give anything away. But i promise it is absolutely worth tuning into you can find that video embedded in this week's blog post over at love and light school dot com slash blog and i'll also be sharing it to facebook and instagram. If you want to connect with me there you can find me at love and light school. "And now it's time for to dive into our main topic for today. The healing properties of azure eight. So you're right is a really deep indigo blue mono clinic mineral and its best known for its connection with intuition and psychic awareness. And so if you've seen azure. I you know this beautiful deep indigo blue. I'm talking about now if you listen to podcasts. Always like to kind of start the healing properties segments with a little affirmation for working with your crystal. And here's what came through. For asia rate i accept and trust my guidance and embrace my intuition and psychic skills. So thinking about azure eight. What are some of the common properties. well it enhances a connection with the earth. If you've ever seen azure right. Kind of studied in general matrix or host rocker parent rock. Or if you've seen it swirling alongside malachite in tumbled stone then you know it's almost like having a bird's eye view of the earth that beautiful blue. It just really helps give you some perspective into your connection with the earth. And i find this to be such a helpful. Crystal for bringing that healthy connection and respect and appreciation for the earth to the forefront and also facilitates the growth and expansion of your innate quality to nurture. So i think that's really has to do with this connection to earth energy just as the earth as mother earth supports and sustains and nurtures us azure. It also helps bring those qualities out in us when we're working with this stone. More popularly azure. I'd enhances psychic vision and mystical experience. And it really helps you. Hone your psychic skills. And i think this is partly because it really aids in the acceptance of your natural intuitive gifts and when you start to trust your intuition and your inner guidance and really accept that then it starts to help you naturally fine tune those intuitive and psychic skills. You already have because now that you've trusted them a little bit more helps build your confidence and helps you kind of really step into that gift. Now it's also a very protective stone protective of the energy body and so many people work with it during astral traveller astral projection or dream work. So you can place a piece of azure on your bedside table or nightstand or even a small piece in your pillow case to really help..

"Me then finally charging most people right define like the general Crystal healing world viewpoint on charging. And then my viewpoint which is quite different. Most people look at charging as literally replenishing the energy of crystal as if the crystals like a battery. If it's just like your phone right people will think. Oh if i work with the crystal in pulling energy out of it i've out of use that energy and i need to charge it to restore that energy just like a battery and i will say when i first started working with crystals i very much did this right. This is the thing that people tell you to do. It's like all the books and the classes and all that stuff. I personally found over time. Crystals really didn't need to be charged in this way. Your crystal doesn't lose its energy. It does have that ability to receive store and transmit energy. But i feel like crystals kind of tend to stay in this place of librium right. They're not gaining more energy than they lose or losing more energy than they gain. What can happen though as that. They can have this access kind of cluttered energy That i mentioned when i was talking about cleansing and so by removing her cleansing non-energy energy or inviting or drawing new energy back into the crystal so cleansing and charging are usually Presented to kind of go hand in hand where you cleanse a crystal remove energy from it charge a crystal put quote unquote good energy back in. I feel like when you cleanse a crystal. You're you're taking away or requesting that the energy that's not for your highest good be removed from that stone and the universe naturally just through. The process of energy exchange is putting new energy different energy back in so for me. I don't think that there is this need to like recharge a crystal battery. But i do do something that i refer to as charging And it kind of is more of on this border of charging and somewhat non traditional programming right so for me. The way i think of charging is kind of tailoring the energy of a crystal to be a little bit more specific now. I mentioned when i was talking about programme. That crystals have lots of different properties rights. And so we can choose one one intention or reason that we'd really like to work with that stone but when we don't limit it there are often these like side benefits from the other inherent qualities of the crystals that. Come through so for me. I feel like charging as almost a way to kind of guide that crystal into a particular area of focus that you would like to pay a little bit. More attention do so. I think you can charge a crystal or fine tune. Its energy by bringing it into contact with other energies through plants and herbs through phases of the moon through types of weather through seasons and special days and sacred places and.

"You're starting out with cleansed crystals and cleansed space so great articles over on the blog like ten surefire methods to your crystals if you need a little help with that but when in doubt smoke cleansing with incense or working with a bell for some sound to do your space clearing is after. You've gathered your supplies. You also need to create an intention statement from your grid so we'll pop back over to this in just a moment. The supplies that you'll need for your wellness grid are an emerald stone. Or if you don't have an emerald you can substitute another greenstone that's connected with wellness. Something like grena venturing neff right jade or blood stone. These are all related to physical health and wellbeing in some way and they have that great green colour. That's associated with healing. You'll also need four ruby stones or any combination of red stones that are connected with tallahassee. So you don't necessarily need twos for rubies. You could use a ruby. And a red jasper and read of entering. And maybe a dark red carney million so again don't be afraid to sort of mix and match and work with what you have. Your intention is the most important thing here so again. Any of those red stones connected with vitality kind of anchor in this energy. You'll also need four red pyro. Garnett stones oregon a combination of grounding stones like black troubling smokey courts or petrified wood. And finally you'll need eight small clear quartz crystal points. You should be able to find these at most crystal shops for less than a dollar or two. But in a pinch tumbled stones will work as well and you can scale back on this number if you need to an only use for like having eight for the full effect and you can see what this looks like again. On the website at love and light school dot com slash blog have even included a little time lapse video of me creating migrated for wellness with some descriptions of what i'm using and why to help you see the full process so back to that intention statement i mentioned this is probably the most important part of your whole grid and it's not even a crystal. This is you setting the tone or the energy or the purpose of your grid. So i feel like for this wellness grid an intention that works really well is my physical body is healthy and well released straight forward easy to remember and just welcoming in some general health and wellness. So you can keep your intention statement really general if you'd like to focus on overall physical health and wellbeing but you can feel free to get as specific as you like to your idea and means surrounding wellness. While you're crafting your intention statement. Now for this red you can completely create it without any type of grid. Base and following sacred geometry is so helpful for placing your crystals in a grid because that sacred geometry is what really helps unify an anger in crystal energy. But if you don't have a fancy grid board or something like that you can also just work with things from around the house. So for this grid. I wanted to reinforce that. Color energy of the green for healing and wellness and the red for vitality and grounding so rather than working with a sacred geometry style grid base for this grid. I'm just working with some green and red paper cloth now in fact when i went to create this grid i didn't have a small square of red cloth so i ended up cutting the cover off of notebook that i had an old notebook. Siad this kind of red glossy card stock weight paper. And then i did have a small woven square of green cloth. Those actually a little trivet for hot pants and it worked just perfect so again. Feel free to use what you already have around the house. Now if you didn't have these pieces of paper or cloth again that's totally fine. You can create this grade without any type of base but if you did want a simple way to police or you could always color a sheet a paper with some markers or even out a green and red colored square on your printer. So if you're using the paper or cloth you're going to start this grid by placing your paper in the area where you'll set up your grid and disused squares for these sends i was using multiples of four stones. Made it the perfect shape to connect with this and also squares. I really anchoring there a stable shape and they're connected with earth energy and health and wellness so the geometry that i chose for this grid really resonated with the grits purpose or intention so start by placing that read paper or cloth and then place your green paper or cloth on top of the red one but turn it about an eighth of the way so that only the four corners of the red cloth show beneath the green square. So this means that your green square will be angled as like a diamond shape and then you have your red square underneath with the little corners poking out and what that does is create. A beautiful octagon shape to help you. Create your grid. So you're going to start by setting your emerald crystal or whatever greenstone you might be substituting in the center of the grid and this represents that physical healing and wellness so be sure to state your intention statement. Either allowed or to yourself when you're placing the stone really anchor that intention into the grid next. You're going to place the four garnet crystals in a square shape at the corners of the green cloth. So kind of in. The location of the cardinal directions represent grounding instability. Then you're going to place your for ruby crystals for vitality on top of the corners of the red cloth or paper that's exposed. They'll kind of goes between the garnett stoned. Now you've created your octagon shape around the outside of the emerald so finally you're going to place your eight clear courts points or if you're substituting tumbled stones again. That's fine one between the emerald stone and each of the eight red stones with the points facing inward toward the emerald to amplify your intention so when i'm placing my stones. I usually start at kind. Of what would align with the north direction location and i move my way around in a clockwise direction. There's really no right or wrong here. This is just how i do it so feel free to do whatever comes naturally and don't be too concerned about the order of placement with your crystals what is important. Though is the alignment and making sure that you maintain geometry so when you're placing your crystals that's why these squares of paper are really helpful. They help you get your crystal spaced equally apart so that you maintain the integrity of that nice octagon shape and the reason that i chose the octagon here again. We have the two squares representing that stability in connection with physical health but overall having the two of them overlapped creates an octagon which as eight points on it and eight faces eight being connected with infinite manifestation side that this was a great way to call in infinite amounts of energy for health and wellness. So you're crystals have been placed you'll need to activate your crystal grid and this is the process of basically energetically connecting the stones with to unify them so that they can work together toward a common purpose here. Your intention and this basically enhances the energy of the stones so that the energy of the grid becomes greater than the sum of its individual crystal parts. And if you wanna see an example of this red being activated you can hop over to the website love and light school dot com slash blog. Check out crystal recipe for wellness. And you'll see if you scroll down to be activation section. I made a little video for you showing the activation process. After you've activated your crystal. Did you can leave it in place for as long as you feel like you need this healing energy but just be sure to check in with regularly in make sure that nothing has been moved out of alignment and also revisit. That intention statement. You created to be sure that it's still relevant to your wellness. I hope that helps you learn a little bit more. But now it's time for our trending does week segment so as you know each week. I bring you a quick discussion on something that i'm just really loving right now that i want to share with you so this week i want to chat about the absolutely amazing natural. Soy wax candles from cottage wicks dot com. So i was first introduced to cottage wicks. I think through A subscription box. And i can't remember which one because i did get quite a few at one time For many months. But i really really like these candles. The one that i had was one of the travel ten candles and these are the ones that i've really gravitated to because they're only eight dollars on their website which is pretty great for candle. They're good size there. Four ounce candle And they're called a travel tune because they're small enough. You could take them somewhere else. But even in the small candle the burn time on the is twenty five to twenty eight hours so for a really small candle you get a really long burn time and i guess you know. I've i've talked about candles before but being that we just celebrated in bulk and i was really taking stock of all my candles and did a little candle blessing ritual on the evening of invoke. It really made me appreciate just all the artistry and craftsmanship. That goes into handmade or hand poured candles so check out cottage wicks you can find them at cottage wicks dot com. They have their amazing travel. Bans really affordable long. Burn time and super beautiful but they also have some other fun. Things like beeswax candles herbal ritual incense and bath and body products like soaps.

"Today's question comes from kirstin and kirstin asks lately. My husband has mentioned feeling a bit depressed. And he's having a hard time figuring out his purpose in life. I would love to put some crystals in his space that will help bring a sense of calm and happiness and assist him on his journey to find his purpose which crystals would work best and this is such a great question and i feel like one thing that has come up for so many people through this pandemic is it has us all questioning and reevaluating and reassessing the ways in which we're living our lives and you know i mean it has been a bit of a reality check in that we realize just how short and precious life is and how much we wanna make the most of it and we want to be doing something that we're passionate about and something that fills us with that sense of purpose so first. Let's talk about the crystals for calm. You mentioned wanting to bring some calm to space. I think that's such a good first step calming the mind. Quieting any anxiety and worry Because anytime her contemplating a really big change and make sense that we would feel some anxiety. I myself was just going through this yesterday. So i can definitely relate my go-to crystals for com. Our aqua aquamarine lapel. Alight and white moonstone. Many you've probably heard me talk about this crystal combo in the past. And if you're getting any weird background noise. We are in the middle of a huge snowstorm. Here in wisconsin so there are snowplows going up and down the street right now so i apologize if it is a little bit noisier than usual so those are my three ago to crystals for com. Aqua marine helps you feel like you're a little bit more in the flow super relaxing. Lupita light as good for calming and quieting the mind. Especially if you're feeling some intense anxiety and then white moonstone. I find just to be so nurturing and supportive at helps you relax because you feel like you'll be taken care of.

"The next holiday it will be at the end of march. During the spring. Equinox will be astara. And you can see that. I've incorporated a lot of different symbolism for each holiday into these altar cloths and into the things that are included in the ritual kit. So i'll be talking more about in bulk next week and next week's podcast episode Because that will be the whole topic. And i'm really excited to share that with all of you But in these really fun. Little ritual kit said put together. A custom blended incense that i blended in house at mimosa. It's all like herbal incense. So it's all put together based on natural plant materials and resins There's always accustomed blended incense. There's always a candle. There's always some crystals for that specific holiday and then something else really fun and special so if you want to check that out head over to mimosa. Spirit dot com and then in little search bar. You can type in in bulk. That's i m b o l c. You can read a little bit about in bulk and kind of get a heads up before next week When you find the altar cloth and check out the fun little ritual kits. "It can enhance a connection between your conscious. Mind in your higher self Or between your conscious mind and your intuition so it kind of creates a bridge or connection point between those two and it helps those who are doing healing work to really channel universal energy so so frequently in crystal healing Along with many other types of energy healing. I think the best example of this is probably in ricky healing. It's not just about the tools that we're using..
