A highlight from Growing Unease: Current Administrations Approach to Security and Travel with David Bellavia
"What do you think they're doing with cash, right? What deal do you make where someone says, I'll bring a box of money to you? Yeah. What do you, it's, this is a state sponsor of terrorism. Ladies and gentlemen, distinguished guests and my fellow citizens. America's comeback now. starts right Welcome back Financial Guys podcast. Mike Speraza in studio live today with a guest in the studio. I haven't had this in a long time. Staff Sergeant medal of honor recipient David Bellavia joining me for about a half hour today. David, thank you for joining us. Thank you for having me. I appreciate it. Absolutely. So I'm going to stick based on your background. I'm going to stick with a lot of military stuff today and I want to start, we'll go all the way back to the beginning of the Joe Biden presidency. The Afghanistan withdrawal, in my opinion, did not go very smoothly. I'm sure many people listening agree. What were your overall thoughts of that withdrawal and how it actually ended up happening? I know we lost, you know, sadly lost 13 soldiers in that, in that withdrawal. People say we went off the wrong air base. People say that we shouldn't have gone out in the middle of the summer. There was a lot of different things there. What were your overall thoughts on that? I think it's like the worst day in American history since Market Garden. Just absolutely. And the reason why it was so difficult was it was totally unnecessary. So let's rewind to the Obama trade, Bull Bergdahl and the three first round draft picks. They get Marshall, they get MacArthur and they get Patton that end up the resurgence of the Taliban. These men not just go back to the enemy, they go back to the battlefield. They're in power when the government falls. You have misinformation coming from the White House that the president of Afghanistan is leaving with billions of dollars on his plane, which wasn't true. And then you leave the equipment, the cash. There's no recovery. We're getting reports of sales of American equipment left in Afghanistan in Southeast Asia. We're moving material across the globe. Our children will fight and pay and have to atone for these miscalculations. Let's talk about that. You being in the military and you knowing that area too, why did they just find it the easiest way out to just say, you know, just leave that billion dollar billions of dollars of equipment there and not think, again, if it was me and I'm speaking that someone that's never been in the military, but if it's me and I'm the president, I'm thinking, OK, I don't want to leave all our weaponry there. I don't want to lose any of my men. Number two. And number three, I want to make sure that everybody knows when and how we're getting out of there. And it just felt like poof. One day they said we're getting out of here. Well, it's because the military didn't make any of those decisions. I mean, look, Millie, it can criticize him. You can criticize Secretary of Defense worthy of criticism. However, none of these individuals are making decisions. This is about NGOs on the ground. This is about the State Department. So you've got Bagram Air Base, the equivalent of JFK. You've got Karzai International Airport, the equivalent of Teterboro. Right. Why would you ever do an exfil out of Karzai International Airport? It makes absolutely no sense. It's tactically unsound. But and then you've got all the ISIS -K. We retaliate from the murder of 13 of our bravest and we drop a bomb on a guy delivering water. He's on our payroll and we kill children on that. Then we take out Borat on a tuk tuk driving around like that wasn't even really what was happening. It's just a den of lies. And Tony Blinken and Jake Sullivan, all the heroes that brought us, you know, the Bergdahl deal, the Iran nuke deal. This is these. They the State Department is running all foreign policy, including what the DOD used to run. Well, that's I was going to say. I mean, I know Biden's the president, but do you blame him at all or is it everybody underneath him that, you know, maybe was giving him bad information? And again, some of these decisions, David, is Biden even involved in some of these decisions? Like, I don't even know anymore. Is he around? Is he paying attention to anything going on? Well, I mean, just from the press conferences, it was apparent he didn't know what was going on. And the great irony is that they actually were predicting that Ukraine was going to be invaded and, you know, no one believed them. So it's like you can't influence your friends. The allies don't trust you. The enemy doesn't respect you. You know, I mean, you've got Ben Rhodes is really proud of this State Department. Susan Rice loves what they're doing. But, you know, again, Americans died. And, you know, and what is the perfect culmination of the adventure in Afghanistan? Looking at your watch at Dover Air Base when bodies are coming home. I mean, nothing could you couldn't ask for a just it's it's a debacle. Yeah. And it's sad that that's that's the leader of our country there. Let's move in. You brought up the Ukraine there. So the Russia Ukraine conflict will get to Zelensky in a minute. He is as we speak in New York City right now. But so Trump's in office. We don't see many of these conflicts or any conflicts actually started under his watch. And then we have the Biden administration come in. And a year later, we have Russia invading Ukraine. Why did this happen and why? Why the timing of February of 2022? So let's go back to when we were fighting ISIS. Trump engaged and destroyed estimated some say 300 members of Wagner forces. But those were Russian nationals. We engaged. We destroyed them. What was the response from Putin? Nothing at all. So what do people in that section of the world, Eastern Europe, the Middle East, what do they respect? They respect power. They respect authority. You're not going to get any respect if you don't engage the enemy when they present themselves. I don't understand the calculus of again, I'm trying hard to figure it out. I don't get it. I don't. You know, Romania and Hungary and Poland, you're letting them unilaterally decide whether or not they want to send reinforcements into Ukraine. That's an act of war. If NATO members engage the enemy, all of NATO is engaged against the enemy. Poland doesn't unilaterally make that decision. Hungary and Romania don't unilaterally make that decision. We can't even articulate what the mission is. And if you look, go to the Institute for the Study of War, there's a plug for them. Check out their overlay from when the battle started, when the war started with Russia. And tell me what success this offensive in Ukraine has produced. I mean, let me ask this question, because I get confused. The answer is nothing. I asked this on Twitter, X, whatever it's called, all the time. What is the end game and how do we get there? Because all I see the answer is, hey, just blank checks. Hey, just write a check. Hey, here's a billion. Hey, here's 20 billion. Hey, here's another 10 billion. I don't actually see a look. I mean, like anything, right? If I write a business plan of what I want to do in 2024, my goal is X. I write down my steps to get X. I don't just write down X and say it's going to happen. I don't really know. And then the answer always is, well, we have to fight. We have to back Ukraine. Okay. But when does that end? Because the Afghanistan war and the war in Iraq lasted 20 years plus, right? And was there a real end to it? I don't know. That's where it gets frustrating for me, Dave, where I'm like, how do we know what the end game is? Do you win or lose? When does that happen? I don't know. I don't know. At least you're thinking about it. And I have fear that our leaders aren't, and that's the problem. So here's what this comes out. You're going to get a negotiated settlement out of Ukraine, right? But you talked about the billions of dollars that we're spending and giving to Ukraine as a blank check. First of all, Zelensky visited Ukrainian soldiers in the United States. Did you know that there were wounded Ukrainian soldiers in the United States? I did not know that. Well, today he visited them. So what's happening there? So that's a cost that no one is putting on the ledger. So now let's look at the blank check that Ukraine is getting. And by the way, I'm pro Ukraine. I want to fight communists all day and night. So let's punch Putin hard in the face. However, you're giving them a blank check and you're giving them munitions. Now here's the problem. We have to replace those munitions. Those munitions were purchased for 20 year global war and terror. And let's be honest, inflation is involved. So what you purchased for $10 is now $17. So you're not just giving them the money. You're giving them the equipment and the munitions that you have to replace yourself at the value of what is valued today. We haven't scratched the surface for the amount of money. CBO absent at the wheel. No one is tracking this. 2024 can't get here fast enough. How does this work, though, when you talk about some of these NATO nations coming together and making decisions, but us not just giving weaponry, giving everything money, whatever we're giving there? Is that not an act of war, too, though, David, at some point? We're continuing to fund Ukraine continuing the war in Ukraine. I mean, that to me seems like we're backing a war. Well, I mean, by the letter of the law and NATO charter, it's not. But here's the problem. It's schizophrenic because we were told that what was an offensive weapon was going to mitigate, you know, that wasn't going to help peace at all. So we went from, I don't know if they should get tracked vehicles to I'm not sure an artillery piece is what they need to high Mars rockets being launched. And let's be honest. I mean, the Ukrainians are I mean, the payload that they're going through, what you would have to have cataclysmic casualty numbers to be able to to the spandex that they're doing on the ground that they need to replace Patriot. If you're going through thirty five Patriot to, you know, missiles, I would expect to at least the C 20 makes that are shot down. They're using them for air artillery. They're using there for indirect fire. I don't know what they're doing, but this is going to end with Don Boss going to Russia. This is going to end with that land chain that Putin wanted through Crimea. And again, our friends in NATO, what are they even doing for Ukraine? What? Look, if you they said that Trump wanted to kill NATO, Biden did it. Right. Biden did it. And now Germany. And so Putin was selling oil at thirty dollars a barrel. What's it at ninety six? Yeah. He's making more money than he did before. And he's financing a war and killing innocent people. You mentioned before, too, and I think this is a good point. Everybody on the left and I'll say the media, the establishment, whoever you want to say, says that if you don't agree with the war in Ukraine, you're like pro Putin. Right. And that's just the most outrageous thing in the world, because I agree with you. I feel for the people of Ukraine. I don't want this for them. I don't want this for innocent people. However, at some point, the world's every every one of the world's problems can't be America's problem when we have a border crisis. And then I think they said yesterday ten thousand people came across. They got, I think, eight thousand of the ten thousand. But you see the numbers day over day. It's a problem. We have crime that's rampant. We have overdoses that are at record numbers. We have we have suicides at record numbers. At some point, we have to maybe just think about ourselves and not everybody else, because if we fall, sadly, I think the world falls at that point. Amen. The thing that I would add is I love the way the Ukraine refugee has been crowbarred into the migrant crisis in the United States. New York leaders from the city to all over Kathy Hochul, the governor of the state of New York, mentioning that, you know, like the Ukrainians in Poland, the the Polish have no intention to keep Ukrainians forever. That's a temporary you know, they're leaving a conflict to return to their country after the conflict is over. Again, this is just we're we're putting a round peg into a square hole and just hammering it away. But but there's no the media. There's you're our destroying military. I go to parents all the time around this country and ask them to give us their sons and daughters to join the military. And the one thing they bring up is Afghanistan. It's not about anything. It's Afghanistan. How are you going to assure us that you're going to maintain your commitment to our son and daughter when you betrayed us in Afghanistan that has lasting effects? And there's not a I'm trying to find a segment of our of our of our nation that's functioning. I don't know what it is. I saw in Chicago, they're going to have municipally owned grocery stores. Maybe that will figure it out there. Yeah, yeah, it's good. Real quick, do you think and we'll finish up on this topic, but do you think that they will we will ever have boots in the ground on Ukraine? I mean, I hope not, because I just don't know what the I mean, look at I'm I'm we're getting ready for China. We're trying to revolutionize everything. I don't know what the what the plan is. I mean, again, if you want to put a base in Ukraine, and you want to make that a sustainment operation going forward, that I here's the point. I don't understand what the inactive ready reserve call up was for. Why are you bringing those troops in the non combat support? Why are they going to Ukraine? What are you building infrastructure there? Here's what I do know. We're talking a minimum of $11 trillion to build Ukraine back. That is cataclysmic amounts of money. There isn't water, electricity, internet, you know, you want to help Ukraine. You're going to Russia is not paying for that if you negotiate a settlement. So I don't know what the plan is. But I hope we never see boots on the ground. I could guess what the plan is. I won't I won't say for sure. But I could guess that we'll be paying a chunk of that. And I do have one last one. So I did interview Colonel Douglas McGregor a few months back. And he talked about he's a real optimist. But he is really very, very bullish on Ukraine. Yes, very, very optimistic. I'm dropping some all over the place. But he brought up some staggering numbers, though. And even if they're half true, it's a problem. The amount of casualties and wounded soldiers on the Ukrainian side that we're not hearing about the media. I don't know if you agree with some of those numbers or not. But he's saying, I mean, it's people are acting as if this is an even war right now. And it's not even close. First of all, McGregor's a stud. I mean, he's an absolute, you know, that we're glad he's on our side. He's a military mind. I don't know if those numbers are accurate. I could tell you they're juxtaposed to almost everything we're hearing from every institution that we have, including a lot of our intel from Germany and England. But again, I don't know what to believe. So when you don't have when you don't have transparency, when you're not holding regular press conferences, when your Pentagon spokesman is now working in the White House and now you're getting a triple spin. I mean, the U .S. Open double backspin. You've gotten so many spins on the narrative. I don't know what to believe. But if he is even close to what is a segment of truth, you know, then look, Ukraine needs an investigation. There's a lot of investigations. We've got to start on Afghanistan. We were promised that by Speaker McCarthy. We need a hot wash on Afghanistan. And then we need to go to what who is oversighting the money that's going to Ukraine. And what have we got for our return on investment? Yeah, I'm not asking for much. Really, all I'm asking for in this conflict is can we just talk about what the end game is? And to your point, can we get an accounting of where the money's going and what's being spent in a real accounting of it? The Iran deal that just happened last week. First off, the fact that that was negotiated and completed on 11th September to me is just the ultimate slap in the face. But you again, you know more about this than I do. We do a five for five trade. OK, I'm going to use sports analogies. We trade five for five. And then we also approved of six billion dollars that apparently wasn't ours, but it was in a fund that now they can release to Iran. How are we winning on that one? Well, first of all, I was hoping that at least it was a digital transfer. The fact that it went as euros in cash through Qatar. And OK, so what happens the 24 hours after that deal is made? We're now getting issues in the West Bank. We're now hearing about issues in Yemen. We've now got Hezbollah that's reinforced. I mean, look, what do you think they're doing with cash? Right. What deal do you make where someone says, I'll bring a box of money to you? What do you it's this is a state sponsor of terrorism. They haven't changed. By the way, their president is now in New York City addressing the United Nations. This guy's killed 6500 of his own people. He admits to it. He killed the students that revolted and wanted democracy when we did nothing. He killed 5000 of his citizens in 1988. He's killed over 300 Americans. There's no accountability whatsoever. I don't understand what it is about Jake Sullivan and Tony Blinken that believe that Iran is a partner. All you've done 10 years ago, they were refining 10 percent of their oil. And now they're a force. Now they're working with Maduro in Venezuela, and they're a huge part of their members of of the international community. They're in good standing there. I don't get it. Does anyone believe that the Iran nuke deal? Look, we got hit with cruise missiles under Trump in Iraq. How did they have those cruise missiles? Those cruise missiles were illegal under the Obama nuke deal. So how are you refurbishing missiles in two years? Do we believe that their centrifuges have stopped? That they won't have a program if they don't have one already? No, I mean, I guess my question, David, is how I mean, I know that you pay a lot of attention to this stuff, but how do people like in the media not ask these questions? Right. I mean, these are legitimate. I mean, we just traded to I put this on my notes here. This is on the heels of trading a WNBA basketball player for the Merchant of Death like six months ago. Right. I mean, and again, I'm glad Americans are coming back to America. I don't want to sound pessimistic on that. That's great news. But we also I mean, this this stuff just seems like I don't care what side of the aisle you're on. It warrants questions, but nobody seems to care. I'm in the world that if you take hostages, we take hostages. You want to exchange people? We'll exchange people. You know, we definitely have the partners in the area to do that. For whatever reason, this administration, they're they're they're contrarians. They're contrarians to you know, they claim Bush and Cheney are their best friends, yet they just go 180 degrees from that doctrine. I don't know what the Biden doctrine is. I don't know what Bidenonomics is either, but I could tell you that they believe that Iran is a partner. Now, here's another thing. Our envoy to Iran not only is no longer the envoy, he doesn't have a security clearance. Does anyone curious at The New York Times as to what happened to the lead negotiator in Iran that is escorted off a bus, taken into American custody, given a job at Yale or Princeton or wherever he's working now? I've never heard of a person going from top secret classified negotiations to no clearance whatsoever and in the custody of American intelligence community. No one cares. No one cares at all. It's fascinating. And again, for me, I mean, these are big decisions that we're making. And correct me if I'm wrong, but it used to be, you know, maybe we did a two for five deal and then we made the six billion. Now we're like, we're giving stuff away and we're on the losing end. Correct me if I'm wrong, but America was never, you know, America losing. It was always America winning, right? America getting the best of deals. At least McDonald's has a five for five. We didn't even get that. You know what this does though? Honest to God, if you're thinking about traveling overseas, things go sideways, cartel, South America, Mexico, wherever you're going, you have a price in your head now. No one in their right mind is going to bring you back whether it's Haiti or wherever you are, you're worth $1 .25 billion. And thugs and scumbags are going to take advantage of that. I mean, that's a great point too. Do you think about leaving the country? I don't know anymore. That's a little bit concerning. I don't care where you're going, right? That's concerning. This one I just had to bring up because it happened two days ago or yesterday. How do we lose a plane? And I heard that's like a third one in the last six weeks that something like this has happened. How are we losing $80 million planes? Well, they're not $80 million anymore because they've got a new engine and all this other stuff. Look, the F -35 program is a complete disaster. You want to talk about why our allies think we're crazy. We sold them a plane. This program has been around since the early 90s and we've got nothing on return for it. So basically two planes are flying in a buddy team. They're doing training and a guy punches out. We don't even know why he punched out, but that plane could have easily hit a building. It didn't, thank God. But the wingman didn't follow where his buddy went. So what is he doing? He just kind of went on and did his own thing. And now the Marine Corps put a Facebook post like a dog is missing. We're expecting the Ukrainian farmers to carry the F -35 out with their tractors. I don't know what the point of it's wild. Look, stop embarrassing us. Just stop humiliating us. That's all I'm asking. Just be the army and the Marine Corps that we know our men and women are capable of being. Get out of their way. This gender garbage, this social experiment nonsense, stop humiliating our military. That's all I ask. Why can we not get the... I mean, I know why we can't get the answer, but I'm asking this to you. But why can't we, at a press conference at the White House, why can't we say, I want to talk to the guy that was in the other plane, or you can tell us the transcript of what happened when that happened. Talk to the guy who jumped out of the plane. Why did you do that? And again, I'm not trying to put our military on the spot, but these are kind of big questions to ask, right? I mean, if I do something in my business, I have to go face the music on that. Why doesn't everybody have to face music for their decisions or why things are happening? I think it's kind of important. Well, you don't want to talk to generals because they're going to tell you the truth and they won't be generals anymore. True. And you don't want to talk to enlisted people. Because look, I mean, let's be honest. How many people are... Is this a merit -based military anymore? Do we have a meritocracy? Are we promoting people based on pronouns? Go figure. When we're putting politics above military strength, accidents happen. We don't know the facts, but the fact that nobody cares about getting to the bottom of it, the day of the Pentagon paper reporters are gone. Yep. Yep. Let's just talk about the 2024 race quick, and then we will wrap up for today. So your thoughts on the Republican primary so far, I'll stay away from the Democratic side till the very end, but your thoughts on, you know, there's obviously Trump who is now in a, has a huge lead. Ron DeSantis seems to be crumbling underneath himself. Vivek Ramaswamy has jumped up in the polls. Nikki Haley's there. Tim Scott's there. A few others that probably aren't going to get a lot of votes. Chris Christie's the anti -Trump candidate. Mike Pence is, I don't know what Mike Pence is. I'm not really sure. Your thoughts about the whole field so far? I mean, look, it's impressive. They've got a deep bench. There's a lot of diversity. I, you know, none of it matters. Trump is the guy. The more you indict him, the more you empower him. You know, I'd like him to work on his communications a little bit better. You know, but if Trump is Trump, Trump is a Frankenstein monster of Barack Obama. As long as you have that faction, you're going to get, you know, Trump is going to be empowered. I just don't want to see Governor Noem anywhere near the White House. And I, if he's going to pick a running mate, you know, it's hard to find an ally here, you know. But it would be nice to find a governor. I don't want to take anyone from the Senate. I don't want to take anyone from the House with the margins that tight. But I mean, the idea that Governor Noem is being floated right now. I mean, I'd rather take North Dakota. Yeah. A little sled there. You know, it's funny you mentioned that because I saw a lot of that this weekend. I mean, can we just, for lack of a better term, keep it in our pants for about a year and then do what you got to do? It really is. I mean, every time you turn, somebody's doing something idiotic, whether it's Boebert. And again, I say this, David, a lot of people know who you are. A lot more know who you are than they'll ever know who I am. But when you go out in public into a movie theater like that, and I'm going to Boebert, not Noem for a second, you're, you're extremely well known. I don't care if it's dark or if it's as light as it is in the studio right now. What are you thinking? I, you know, she's, she's, she's an embarrassment. She is. She's bad, too. Who would have thought that Marjorie Taylor Greene would have been the, the oasis of the Maryland? I mean, seriously, I, again, you're, you're in Congress every day. You're out in public, you're on the job. You know, at least she wasn't wearing a hoodie, you know, that's all in shorts. She was at least dressed for the occasion, but I, it was, it's wildly embarrassing. Vaping, singing, whatever you're doing. Getting groped. Yes. Who is your VP candidate then? Because I think, you know, you have names thrown around. There's, there's, the vague has been thrown around in there. You know, Byron Donald's has been thrown around in there. Carrie Lake has. I don't know. I love Carrie Lake. I just don't know that Trump needs to go with somebody so divisive there. I think he's got to go with somebody that's, that's firm in their beliefs, but also not maybe going to turn off half the country. Well, you know, it's, it's impossible. One of the, one of the problems with making Trump, you know, the, the enemy of the state that the left has done is that you've really made it difficult for him to even put a cabinet together. You know, I mean, what are you going to do with it? You've got a lot of loyalists out there. You know, the vague is, is I think maybe the most intelligent dynamic candidate we've ever seen run for president, but experience does matter. But you know, I love the way he thinks. I love the movement. I don't know if he would even take the job to be honest with it. I don't think he needs it. But you look at a Tim Scott, I think Tim Scott is, you know, there's a whole lot to his message and I think he's, he's got the experience in the Senate, but honestly, you could literally take the Clint Eastwood chair and, and throw it in there as vice president. I'm going with that because this, this from top to bottom, we have to have seismic change in 24. Do you think he would ever choose Kristi Noem at this point with all that now? Yeah, no one knew Mike Pence was a, was a 24 hour story and then he was the vice president candidate. So who knows? I mean, a lot can happen between now and then, but I just, I don't need, you know, let's just pick people on their merit. Let's pick people that are ready to be the president. Imagine this, imagine picking a vice president that can lead the country. If something happens to a 75 year old president, you know, like Kamala Harris. Yeah. Someone like that.

The Bitboy Crypto Podcast
A highlight from Interest Rate Hikes FINISHED?! (Crypto War NOT Over)
"Welcome to Discover Crypto! It is September 20th. It's 11 .30am. How are we all doing? We got Drew and AJ on the ones and twos today, folks. We're going to talk about the Fed. We're going to talk about what are they going to be saying with the interest rate hikes. And also we're going to be talking about Bitcoin and other cryptos. AJ, how are you doing today? I'm doing great, man. Another day in the life. Let's get it. Drew, how are you doing? Oh, just great. You know, can't complain. Well, you can. You can. You complain when you get home. You'd like, you know, just really vent to your two -year -old. Yeah, that's where I do it. Deezy, did you see the tweet that went out yesterday about the show I'm doing with from George from Cryptos R Us? What? Yeah, yeah. Yeah, he's with Blockchain Boy and Neutron. Joshua Jay. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. So we're all like, it's for crew, like, plus, you know, and basically we're all doing something different. I believe, like, Josh is doing like a news kind of show and Blockchain Boys. I'm not really sure what Blockchain Boys doing, but I know the videos are going to start coming out here pretty soon. We're still like brainstorming my concept, but I have a really good, like, rough idea of what I'm doing. But it's going to be really interesting to see how, like, where this goes. And I'm just fun to excited to do something different, you know? And I'm excited. We got Frankie Candles doing the charts today. I see Frankie getting ready in his neon square. He's in his, like, little neon area. I don't know if, oh, he can hear me. He's showing some recognition and anticipation of what Deezy is going to say next. Yeah, we saw the Donald Trump Jr. tweets. It looks like he got hacked. Also, Rob, you're popping it. Hey, we're going to see you back. Can't wait till you come back. All right, let's just get right into crypto. Marc Kepson's Drew is done. Am I too tall? Am I too tall? Too tall for the camera? Look, I got to stand. I got to do these shows a lot, you know? I take the shoes off. So I shrink, you know? They come in. I'm like 6 '11", and I take the shoes off. Then I drop back down to 6 '3". I got the Tom Cruise lifts. All right, Bitcoin is falling a little bit, folks. We were in the green this morning when I first woke up. Now we are down 0 .6%, and Ethereum is down 1 .3%. But XRP looks pretty good. XRP is up. It is up 0 .8 % on the day so far. Meanwhile, Cardano, I woke up this morning. It was up, but now it's down. It is down 0 .7%. Dogecoin down 1 .3%. TonCoin finally cooling off a little bit for the week here. It is down 1 .2%. Litecoin has taken a little bit of a beating, folks. Litecoin is down 5%. We talked about Litecoin a little bit yesterday on ATB. I highly recommend you check that out after this stream. All right, let's look at the top gainers. Then we're going to look at the top losers. You know, I have a streak of keeping my coins in the losers, but not today, folks. I'm feeling good. In fact, maybe I'll have a coin in the top 10. Who knows? All right, here we have Caspa leading the way. Caspa is just on fire, folks. The people who bought Caspa at $0 .01, $0 .02, looking good. Just put in a higher high too. You got past that last one, yep. All right, we are now above a nickel, and it looks like maybe price discovery mode for a Caspa. XDC is up 4 .3%. Maker is up. Radix is up. Aave is up. I have a coin in the ties. A little Solana. I think maybe I have some Arbitrum. Maybe. I'm not even sure I have to check. Then we have, you know, XRP is up 0 .8%. We got gold. Gold's moving to the upside. The graph moving to the upside, even though Bitcoin and ETH are down. Okay, so it's not all blood in the streets, but hopefully, it's not going to be blood in Deasy's wallet, guys. And again, I promise you, I do not check this ahead of time. I kind of like being surprised. I like discovering it with you. So let's discover cryptos, Deasy's coins in here. I'm looking good today. All right, I don't know how long the streak has been continuing. I don't know when's the last. I think I last held Litecoin in 2021. Never had Thor, Phrax, eCash, or I know Frankie likes to trade Adam. I like to trade Eve. So maybe we'll talk to him about the Adam is falling 4 % here. Litecoin down 5%. Thor chained down 5%. Any of these coins, you know, peak it. Well, if you go at it, I do have two in the top 10. I got two in the top 10. Just, you know, just to make it feel good. But any of these screaming at you here? Yeah, Thor, Litecoin, Phrax. Not surprised really to see. I mean, everything kind of came up yesterday. I'm still kind of sticking to the theory that the pump we're seeing could possibly be a bull trap. I think, you know, when we get into the FOMC news, the pauses that is likely coming is going to be bullish for the sentiment. I'm just still like kind of macro worried based off of the stock market sharks. Actually, the Algorand, you know, down 2 .8%. That one's kind of obviously yelling at me a little bit. I have a theory coming up, but I'm not going to say it right now. But I'm making a video about it, about Algorand. So stay tuned for that. OK, so you're going to create more? I'm going to create more. I create more crypto content every day and some of it's about Algorand. But I like how it's a period. Create more. No exclamation point. Just create. It's more like create more. Oh, OK. Great. More. Great. Great. Yeah. All right. Well, we're going to create some stories here about the feds. What are they doing? I don't know if we've ever had an article from this news organization. ABC. Shout out to Mickey Mouse and the Disney crew here. Fed to decide on a rate hike. Testing optimism about a soft landing as inflation rises again. Upon announcing the Fed Reserve's latest rate hike decision in July, Jerome Powell spoke out a lectern in Washington, DC for a half hour before he dropped a bombshell. The Central Bank staff has abandoned its forecast of a recession. Staff at the Fed, in other words, now expect the Central Bank to achieve a soft landing, an outcome in which the US brings down inflation while avoiding a downturn. Inflation has ticked up for two consecutive months, reversing some of the progress made in the effort to bring price increases down to normal levels. Meanwhile, oil prices have soared, threatening to push inflation even higher. Well, they got like moving ads. Whoa, whoa, what's going on here? Calm down, ABC. Economists surveyed by Bloomberg expect the Fed to leave its benchmark interest rate unchanged, affording policymakers time to weigh their next move as a rapid series of previous rate hikes take full effect. I was looking at Caleb Franzen's tweets. We're at 99 % on the prediction market unchanged today, right? Have you been looking at the, when is the next one? Is it November? I can pull the calendar. I'm pretty sure it's the end of October. I think it's like maybe on Halloween. Let me double check. Oh, on Halloween is going to be spooky. Okay, Drew, are you going to give out candy this Halloween? Absolutely. You know, but actually I'll be doing candied apples. Okay, I'm going to be giving out pamphlets on inflation to children. Yeah, you know, you could have got Reese's pieces, but blame Jerome Powell. You can take advantage of the time and the season to teach your children about tax. Tax them. Like attacking kids for their pillowcases of candy? Taxing them heavily. Yeah, take 33 % of every Snickers bar they get. That's right. Yeah, that's just the way it is. Why wait? Welcome to America, you know? And yeah, the next FOMC is October 31st, November 1st, so. Okay, okay. October 31st. All right, all right. Halloween, what's Jerome Powell going to dress up as? Alex from A Clockwork Orange. Pat, do you want us to dress up on the channel? I might be willing to dress up in a costume. I might be willing. You know, every - I could break out the green spandex, go old school. You know, every Halloween, AJ disappears and a Mr. Meeseeks just shows up. Okay, I heard existence is pain though. Existence is pain. We're not fumbling around for meaning here, Deezy. All right. Well, I'm fumbling around for this rate of inflation. It eases slightly 6 .7 % despite the oil prices surging. You know, like we said, I think the oil is going to be a leading indicator, so inflation will trickle down from the oil prices. If you want to think about it, it's going to cost more money to get those bananas to drive from point A to point B because they're going to have to spend more in the gas tank. This is going to be - It's just give it a while, let it roll out to the rest of the economy. Namely, food. Oil prices really, really like to impact food prices a couple months down the line. Well, we're looking at the ONS as the Office for National Statistics, and they said the consumer price index measure slowed in the 12 months to August from the 6 .8 figure reported the previous month thanks to food rising at a weaker pace during the month compared to August 22. During the X minute, I have a tweet about Canadian food prices, and I just kind of look at where they've gone over the past 20 years. It is shocking. It is shocking. I used Bard. I was like, this doesn't feel right for the price. I went to a Canadian grocery store, and I went low. I went low. There's expensive eggs and cheap eggs. I typed in the cheap egg price. It was still very scary. All right, well, we have predictions. Jerome Powell's got his ideas. You notice I was thinking about this BlackRock. What is BlackRock thinking about all this? BlackRock and others predict the Fed's next move. What does it mean for Bitcoin though? According to Marilyn Watson, is a BlackRock's head of global fundamental income strategy. The central bank's federal funds target rate will remain roughly the same until the end of the year going through its September, November, and December meetings. For the record, I think the economic data has consistently surprised to the upside, she said. That includes GDP, the unemployment rate, and the labor market. Beware, beware of recession. The analyst has previously argued that Bitcoin's price is macroeconomic determined by conditions, including its four -year cycles, which I am still a firm believer in for this cycle. Might be less of an effect of the previous one, but I'm still a believer in the four -year cycle, going to push Bitcoin to the new high. I do think we'll set in a new all -time high. I don't think we're going to hit a quarter million dollars in two years, but I think we're going to flirt with $100K, which they do not believe are related to the Bitcoin halving. So they're saying the four -year cycle is not related. I don't know what they're saying here. Risk assets go lower in recessions. So I'd expect Bitcoin would not perform well in that environment. It has not seen a real recession in its existence. It was birthed out of a recession, but yeah, hasn't really gone through one from the beginning stages to the end there. Yeah, there's never been a Bitcoin bull run during a phase of quantitative tightening. We've always been quantitatively easing the money supply anytime Bitcoin goes up into the right. And that obviously is what it takes. I think they're kind of leaning into if we're in a recession, and that lines up with the four -year cycle. But just so far, we're three for three with the having idea playing out. And the trend hasn't broken yet, so that's why I always say sticking to November 25 as a benchmark, but that's just a benchmark. It could be behind that. It could be in front of that. We don't have a crystal ball, but we can go off the pattern that we've seen before. All right. Well, speaking of quantitative tightening, we also have calfskin tightening, the tightest calfskin in the entire world. I don't care if you have a baby cow jacket for an extra small on an 800 -pound man, there is no tighter calfskin than the man I'm looking at right now. That is Frankie Candles. Frankie Candles, welcome back. How's it doing? Does it feel good? It feels good. The calfskin is tight, and so is Bitcoin's price action. But yeah, I don't want to waste time here. Let's go ahead and jump right into the charts here. Now, here we are. Now, obviously, I talk about this all the time. I don't typically trade on newsdays like this. It is usually a complete washing machine. Usually the shorts get wrecked, then the longs get wrecked, or the longs get wrecked, and then the shorts get wrecked. So I don't typically trade. Now, I am in a few trades right now. I am in this Bitcoin long right now. I have profits locked in on this trade and my stop loss is at my entry. So kind of how I am playing this today is I'm going to be holding my long. I am long from about $25 ,000 to $50 ,000 just below this range. And again, I have taken profits on that stop loss at break even. And then I am also in a short position from somewhere up here. I am slightly in profit on the short position. So I am long up and now I am in this small short position that is in slight profit. However, this is kind of how I'm playing this today, DZ. Because basically, like I said, I never recommend people trade on these newsdays just because of the complete unpredictable volatility that you're likely to see. Now, the last FOMC meeting, I believe, was on the 25th, 26th of July. I believe someone could correct me if I'm wrong on that. But we actually have seen a few FOMC meetings where we didn't really have too much happen. And I've been telling people that we are likely in that kind of boring accumulation phase of the bear market. A lot of times, if you go back to at least the 2017 or 2018, 2019 bear market, we had that bear market rally. And once we topped off at that point, we kind of just bled out. And for the most part, if you kind of just ignore this panic wick from March of 2020, which was obviously a Black Swan event, we kind of just wiggled sideways. We got that big bear market rally, we topped off, bled out a little bit, and then we just kind of went sideways again with the exception of that panic wick. And I do think we are in somewhat of a similar situation here where the rest of this bear market may not be the most exciting thing ever. But for today, basically how I'm handling this, DZ, is I'm going to be kind of...

Mike Gallagher Podcast
A highlight from The Left Is Removing Statues & Erasing Americas History
"It's a real blessing to be surrounded by good people, and there are people who have my back struggling a little bit today. Two dreaded words, dry socket. Anybody who's had a wisdom tooth extraction knows the perils of dry socket. Well, good old dummy me got it and not doing so hot. So we're going to bring in my pal Kevin McCulloch. Kevin and I got to visit on the big Salem, New York, cruise around the island of Manhattan a week or two ago. Kevin, of course, is an accomplished talk show host based in New York City. He's been heard for years on our Christian station and on the news talk station. This is a man of faith, a terrific guy. And Kevin, you're going to help back me up a little bit today. I might be handing off the baton right off the bat. Have you ever had wisdom tooth dry socket problems before? No, I haven't. And just the sound of the words dry socket strike fear into my deepest being. So I feel very badly for you, Mike, and we've got whatever you need from us today. We're here to help. It's every bit as bad as it sounds, and it's not a good thing. It's what you don't want after you have a... I knew it was going too easy. I had the wisdom tooth removed Friday afternoon after the show. Everything was going great. Saturday, I was feeling great, Sunday not so good. And so it happens sometimes. So it's good to have you here with us. And first of all, many, many thanks to the great job you always do when you fill in for us. Of course, I've been listening to you for years, and it must be a fun experience for you because you're sort of transitioning from your own audience and your base into sort of another platform with our show. And I know our listeners have welcomed you with open arms. Well, I have, and Mike, the Mike Gallagher audience continues to be, I think, not only the most informed because of your daily efforts, but they prove to be generous in all of the campaigns that you do. And as I said when I filled in for you the last time, because I work PM Drive, I'm a big Mike Gallagher listener. I listen and actually many times watch your show on the Salem News Channel. And it's just fun to hang out in your sandbox. So thank you for letting me do that. Thank you. And thank you to Jerry Crowley and everybody at Salem Media of New York that allows us to have all the connections to do. It takes a lot of technology to do what we're doing at this very moment, Mike. And if it weren't for them, we wouldn't be able to. You'd be in dry socket hell if we didn't have a better management team. And speaking of Salem News Channel, That Kevin Show has become a big hit on SNC. You're doing a great job with that. And I love the mix. And I was one of your first guests. I was really honored to be on your show. And you've got a great blend of politics and pop culture and lifestyle and all kinds of neat stuff. In fact, speaking of that, let's kick off with some breaking news. Donald Trump Jr.'s account on X, formerly Twitter, was apparently hacked earlier today. I don't know if you've heard this story. There were a series of – well, get this. There were a series of offensive tweets, including one that said, I'm sad to announce my father, Donald Trump, has passed away. I will be running for president in 2024. You know, Kevin, there's such evil out there and there is such sickness and mean -spiritedness and viciousness. And somehow this almost seems par for the course, doesn't it? Well, it's one of those things where if Donald Trump lives this rent -free in the left's heads, just imagine how effective he'll be if he's reelected. I mean, this is – you've got to remember, and I know that you do, Mike, but for people that are listening, particularly cynics, Donald Trump's one of the few presidents that campaigned on a slate of promises and then went and actually did what he promised. If he comes back, he's already making promises about what's going to happen. There's going to be cleaning of the House and the FBI and the DOJ. There's going to be getting rid of the deep state at the Pentagon and places where wokeness has overtaken actual common sense in terms of policy. So of course they're going to play dirty and of course they're going to try to do everything they can. And all I have to do to compare what they think about Donald Trump Jr. is just ask the question, Hunter Biden? Question mark? No kidding. No kidding. Is there any comparison between the two? And you know, speaking of Trump and his promises and his predictions, something has come to fruition in New York City, and you know the city as well as anybody. Now comes news that these goofballs in Manhattan are actually going to consider taking down statues or any commemoration of George Washington, of Christopher Columbus. And I want to go back to 2017. I want to play this for you, Kevin. Check out what Trump said, because when he said it at the time, they condemned him. Oh, how crazy is he? Check this out. You had people in that group that were there to protest the taking down of to them a very, very important statue and the renaming of a park from Robert E. Lee to another name. George Washington was a slave owner. Was George Washington a slave owner? So will George Washington now lose his status? Are we going to take down excuse me, are we going to take down are we going to take down statues to George? How about Thomas Jefferson? What do you think of Thomas Jefferson? You like him? OK, good. Are we going to take down the statue? Because he was a major slave owner. Now we're going to take down his statue. So Kevin McCullough, do you remember the backlash? Do you remember the backlash he got when he said that and they mocked him and they said, what a lunatic. And he's a fear monger. And now just look at what's happening in New York City, what he predicted could be coming to fruition. Yeah. And you know, what's particularly sad about that, Mike, it's like if people have a different view of history, so be it. That doesn't mean, number one, that they should set policy for what everybody thinks about history. And certainly I would make an argument that history is made by flawed people. And it's really people that overcome the worst flaws of what they have that really do great things and that we should celebrate the great achievements, not expect every single human being to have been perfect. But beyond all of that, this city's in a mess. We have crime. We've got migrant overpopulation in ways and areas that we can't even begin to deal with. And this is what people want to focus on. I mean, and it is you're talking about a warped mix of priorities for sure. It's upside down. And it's absolutely happening as I mean, I've been following this and I'm in just absolute utter amazement, as you say, New York City dealing with crime, crippled under monumental budget cuts due to the illegal immigration issue that frankly the Democrats created. I mean, you want to be a sanctuary city, be a sanctuary city. And now the City Council's Cultural Affairs Committee is going to hold a public hearing on a measure to remove works of art on city property that depict a person who owned enslaved persons or directly benefited economically from slavery. Well, of course, George Washington's at the top of that list. So Trump was right. These nuts in New York and in other blue cities are going to try to remove the founding fathers from our consciousness because they own slaves. And it's exactly what Trump said back in 2017.

"With Bloomberg, you get the story behind the story, the story behind the global birth rate, behind your EV battery's environmental impact, behind sand, yeah, sand, you get context, and context changes everything. Go to Bloomberg .com to get context. Trend cruising speed. We'll get the forecast from the Federal Reserve in about 20 seconds time alongside that Fed decision. Going into it, the price action looks like this on the S &P 500, positive by 0 .2%. On the NASDAQ, almost totally unchanged. To the bond market, yields on a two -year, shaping up as follows, near, in and around 5 % on a two -year in America, 5 .05%. Mike McKee has the decision. This is the very definition of a unanimous hawkish pause. The Fed leaves rates today in the range of five and a quarter to five and a half percent while saying growth is solid and inflation elevated, so hire for longer. Policymakers leave another rate move on the table for this year and take two reductions off the table for the next two years. The statement once again discusses, quote, the extent of additional policy firming that may be appropriate. And the dot plot shows that 12 members of the Open Market Committee still believes they will raise rates by another 25 basis points this year. The high dot at six and a quarter percent comes out of the dot plot with St. Louis Fed's Jim Bullard's retirement. For 2024, the committee now sees a median effective Fed funds rate of 5 .1%, up 50 basis points from their June projection. And for 2025, 3 .9%, up from 3 .4 % in June. The long -run neutral rate is unchanged at two and a half percent, although the central tendency range moves up to 3 .3 % from 2 .8, and the dots show seven members think that the neutral is higher than two and a half.

Fresh update on "cruise" discussed on Bloomberg Markets
"Survey falling to 103, that's actually a four month low. And we check the markets for you all day long, right here Bloomberg on Radio, I'm John Tucker, that is your Bloomberg Business Flash. John Tucker, thank you so much, we appreciate that. Matt Miller, Paul Sweeney live here on our Bloomberg Interactive Brokers Studio. Let's check in with our next guest right here, Tim Dewey, Chief US Economist for SGH Macro Advisors. Tim, I'm not sure if you heard our last discussion, it was with Gary Schilling, and he was bearish, right Matt? Well he is obviously, you know, one of the most famous bears on Wall Street. Exactly. lot A of what he was saying reminded me a little bit of what I've heard from Jeremy Grantham as well, who is, you know, obviously uber bearish, but I have to admit that I have, that that appeals to me, because I see so many headwinds in this economy, Tim, and, you know, the exuberance that pushed us up to $4 ,500 on the S &P just doesn't make sense to me as the Fed's raising rates 500 -600 basis points. How do you see it? I'm a little bit more optimistic than Gary Shilting. I'm not quite as bearish on the economy. I tend to be much more optimistic that the economy remains more resilient than people give it credit for, and that's a big reason here why stocks have performed better than I think anybody would have anticipated in this cycle, given, as you said, the Fed's rates here over 500 basis points and is threatening, you know, the possibility of even more, but I think that just really reflects that the economy is, at a fundamental level, different than people have really, I think, been willing to contemplate. Than ever before history, in right? I mean, when's the last time the Fed was able to raise rates five or six percent without causing a recession? It's a big shift, right? And so, you know, plenty people of people pointed out to, you know, indicators over the past year, year and a half that would all point to a recession and so far, you know, that recession just hasn't been realized. And again, it just, I think, speaks to a very different economic environment than we've been familiar with. So, I mean, for better or worse, Tim, you know, on my personal agenda, I've taken recession off off the table several months ago, but was I a little premature there? Is that still really potentially in the cards seeing. Well, so eventually, right? I mean, this is the stop clock. There's always going to be a recession sooner or later. But, you know, I think you were wise to go to the table several months ago because, you know, clearly, you know, I think that the predictions is that we would have a recession by this time, you know, just haven't materialized. And, you know, I don't really see one coming anytime soon. I think there's still some momentum under this economy and that momentum is not going to feed very quickly. So, I really, you know, don't I have a recession in the forecast because, you know, it's such an idiosyncratic event and that's what keeps tripping people up is that every recession is a little bit different. The indicators that lead into you that recession are a little bit different every time. So, you know, we really, I think, don't have a lot of visibility on when another recession is going to occur. And it's a big and diverse economy. Who is it? Ed Yardeni has said that he thinks we're in kind of a rolling recession where different pockets of the economy are hit at different times. You're not just the chief economist at SGH Macro Advisors. You are an actual doctor in economics. I mean, you have a PhD and teach courses on this and help to guide the economy of the state of Oregon, as far as I understand it. What What do you think of that idea, rolling recession? You know, some states are going to have problems. Some industries are have going to you have seen? Maybe everyone having a sense. Oh, it makes it makes a lot of sense. And we we sort of forgot. I mean, during the immediate aftermath of the pandemic, when everything was booming, right? Everybody was doing well. That's that's really not the norm, right? If you have a slower economy, you know, still it's solid, but even but slower economy, you have sectors that that are up versus down. And this is, you know, that's just part of the natural give and take, I think, of the economy, things going to be cruising along at a high speed. And of course, that makes it more are difficult to assess, you know, if you're going to fall into a recession or not, because again, one industry sliding and say this industry always slipped in during or prior to recession, then you turn around and you find another industry that had always slipped prior to recession, but now is gaining traction, right? And so you kind of say, well, second, wait what's going on here? And what's going on here is that you don't have a economy wide shock that is really driving firms to cut investment and cut employment in a very synchronized way. And until you can get that kind of shock, that kind of momentum, you really, I think it's really hard to create a recession in the economy. That's kind of where I want to go. This labor market, Tim, just kind of fascinates me. I've heard the term hoarding of employees, and I've never heard that before. What do you make a of 3 .7 % unemployment rate here in this economy? Certainly, I mean, certainly it was during the case of the pandemic that labor was so hard to get, you didn't want to let it go. I think that firms, if they have the sort of economic conditions that drove the need for layoffs, they would react quickly. So an only hoarding story only takes you so far. And remember last fall, last winter, during the turn of the year, we saw lots of lots and lots and lots of layoffs in the tech industry. So even though that had that had been an industry that had struggled immensely to hold on to labor during the pandemic. Once it was ready to shed labor, it shed labor. Now that story, I think, just passed us already. So for me, again, you know, when I look at, you know, what happens the unemployment rate typically in a cycle, it falls to some level like this, say, three and a half, four percent, somewhere in that range. And it just sort of hangs out there until you can get again that that massive negative shock stock that really slips you pushes you into another direction. So I just want to jump in because we are looking at pictures of President Biden on the tarmac with UAW President Sean Fain and some other union members.

The Bitboy Crypto Podcast
A highlight from Bitcoin PUMPS on Bullish Europe Inflation!
"Hey, everybody. Let's discover crypto. I was seeing if it was going to come back in a camera frame. It is Tuesday, September 19th. It's 11 .33am. Thank you for joining, everybody. We got AJ and Drew on the 1s and 2s. How are we all doing today? Another day in the life. It's Tuesday. Okay, okay. I thought that said XRP for a second. No, that's EXP. Express. Yeah. Okay, okay. That's what I'm wearing. That's what I'm wearing. It's today's show brought to you by Express. Nice. You know it is brought to you by the Express conduit of information flowing directly into your brain. That is discover crypto. We also got Drew on the on the board here. Now, Drew, you were late today. You're looking for a F -35, right? Yeah. No luck. No, no luck. There is a debris field in South Carolina. I don't know if you've seen that. You know, it's kind of just incredible that you act like you can lose an F -35. You know that. I mean, you've got to assume that there's some tracking systems on one of the most advanced technologically advanced hardware. No, it has stealth capabilities, and they turn it on. It's like I understand, like, you know, losing your sunglasses. Yeah. You know, I understand losing your wallet or your cell phone or like my ID on a plane that has happened. But to lose an airplane, I don't know, man. It doesn't add up to me. Where are you at? So it is like they lose three million dollars on a seed phrase or a hard drive in a landfill. Right. That's easy to lose. That's easy. Yeah. It's you know, it's this small, you know, it's in a gigantic landfill. Yeah. No, we have something like cruising around. I've heard that NASA, they can track everything bigger than a football. So that probably means everything bigger than a softball. Pretty much. Yeah. Well, you know, the Pentagon does lose trillions of dollars at a time from here and there. So it does happen. I know that they misplaced trillions of dollars. Things happen. DN says they have one for sale. I don't know if you guys saw that. Was it Craigslist ad? And it was like F -35, I have to move this thing fast. You know, it's like in South Carolina. It was pretty funny. That's hilarious. Guys, make sure you are sub to the channel. We putting out the lives, putting out the shorts, putting out the videos on the regular AJ. What is your next price prediction? I think I'm going to do it on Casper. I've had a lot of people asking me about a Casper video, just so many because, you know, it's. But the thing with this video is that with the all the other videos, I can go back and like look at, you know, all the previous price action, the previous dominance levels, the previous market with this. It's like, here we go. It's basically just a video on its tokenomics and a range of like what's going to be possible with its market cap compared to other coins that are doing a similar, you know, kind of thing that they're doing. So I'm excited to dive into it. Haven't done it yet. Probably going to film Thursday. Well, make a price prediction video where it goes to a penny so that I could buy a bunch. But speaking of prices, let's look at the crypto prices for today. It looks like the markets are maybe slightly edging up. We're going to go ahead and refresh this just to make sure. Yeah, it is a slight movement to the upside here. 0 .3%. We have 24 hour volume coming in at 38 billion dollars. Bitcoin dominance. I think is up 0 .1. It was 47 .3 is now 47 .4. And we have gas really, really low coming in at 18 gwei. Bitcoin is up slightly 0 .6%. So not a whole lot. The one hour candle is bigger than the entire 24 hours. So we went from negative into the positive in the last 24 hours. Ethereum still playing catch up, still down slightly. BNB down slightly. Lido staked Ether down slightly, but Cardano up above 1 % and Dogecoin up above 1 % and Solana up exactly 1%. Matic 2 up .2%. Polkadot, I think it got a little bit of bad news lately, right? It's down 1 .1%. All these are not really moving too much. We have Chainlink cooling down. Cooling down, it was, you know, close to 10 % now coming in at 1 .6%. So 15 % for the week. What about the biggest gainers? And guys, I haven't checked this and today I have a good feeling. Today, none of my coins are going to be in the top losers. How do I know? I don't know. I'm just trying to manifest it because I think this is a simulation. If I say it and I believe it, I'll make it happen, everybody.

Dateable Podcast
A highlight from S17E4: Following Your Intuition (in Dating) w/ Nikki Novo
"Hi, I'm Yui Xu. And I'm Julie Kraftchick. We're active daters turned dating sociologists. Here to dive into everything modern dating and relationships. Welcome to the dateable podcast. Hi, hi, hi. Welcome back to another brand new episode. This is a repeat guest, but someone who we talk about constantly. She changed my life. Not only does she change your life, but she's been on our mind for three years since the last time we spoke to her. And I couldn't believe it when I was looking at how long I had been since she'd been on the podcast. And I was like, wait, feels like we just spoke to her yesterday because I think about her constantly. That's so weird. I also think about her constantly. She is my secret girl crush as well. Who are we talking about? Nikki Novo. Nikki Novo, we had her on the podcast back in 2020 season 11, episode 14. What's holding you back? So she's an intuitive, she's an author. She wrote a fabulous new book and she did readings for us. So she did readings back in 2020. And for me, I was at a very pivotal point that I had just ended my relationship with my on again, off again boyfriend of five years. We had done that final in COVID. We're either doing this or we're not. All the same issues came back and I realized that I wasn't doing this and actually, okay, so another part of why Nikki Novo is so important in my life that I'm not even sure if I really fully shared is with my ex. One of the things that was really challenging with that relationship is that he was very hot and cold. Like it was like, I'm in love with you. I want to be with you. And then I need my space. I need time alone. And that was really hard for me. Like I did not do well with the inconsistency. And of course he did that again. It was like we had this wonderful time together and then it was, I need that space. And I went to the park and I was so like upset about this cause I'm like, here we go again. It's the same shit happening. And I read Nikki Novo's book, The Final Swipe, her first book, because we were prepping to have her on the podcast. And I remember reading the book and I was just like, I don't want this relationship anymore. And that was such a turning point for me. I think it was like that final turning point for me. Like I had been building that up for a while and then like reading that, like reading whatever she wrote resonated with me so much. And I like came home and I'm like, I don't want to do this anymore. No, no. That was The Final Swipe. It was The Final Swipe. It was done. It was done. Well, she has this way of just putting thoughts in such a clear framework. That it's not like it's new for you. It's not like those the first time you ever thought about this as being this being final. But she just puts it in a way that you're like, yeah, of course. Like, I don't want this. If you put it that way, I don't want this in my life. And this is the final straw or the final swipe. So I appreciate her clarity in the way she expresses herself. And when she did my reading, you know, I was like, just celebrate my two year anniversary. We were kind of fighting that whole weekend on our anniversary trip about what is the future. And she said, listen, no need to be so anxious. You are going to live a non -traditional life. Your path is non -traditional. So stop trying to fit into that traditional future that you see. I was like, done. That's all I need to hear. That's really interesting because like I OK, like in the moment, of course, when you were going through that and you had that reading, you were really trying to make it work with your ex. And I heard that as like maybe you don't get married, but you have like a non -traditional life with him. But now, like looking at where it's going, that could just be a lot broader than with him. Yes. Yes. And I think it was still applied to our relationship. We had a pretty non -traditional trajectory. But, you know, when this relationship ended, I was like, that doesn't need to be the path I go on, you know, and her words came back to me and I was like, yes, I'm meant for a non -traditional life. I know. And, you know, because when I did the reading, I just ended this relationship and then I was really at a crossroads of, OK, what's next? And she really gave me hope that this was my year, that the person was around the corner. You know, I did end up meeting my partner in that year from that reading. It was like my year around my birthday, as she predicted. But more than anything, it was the mindset shift it gave me. It was the fact that I had the confidence that it was going to happen. It was just a matter of when, not if. And I think that was like a big shift for me, because in the past, like I definitely had that thought, like, what if it never happens for me or what if I never meet this person? And just changing that mentality, going into every date and being like, OK, is it this person? And if it's not, then just being like, OK, it's going to be the next person. And she did warn me, too, of, you know, you're going to go through that like rocky time. And I definitely did. I was able to get through it because I didn't get discouraged. And it kind of goes back to that perseverance again. Like, I think that's so important of you just keep going because, OK, I don't think dating is a numbers game in the sense that you need to be dating all these people at once. And, you know, you really have to be like churning through people in the sense of knowing what works for you. I do think getting clear is probably more time effective than going on date after date after date with no clarity and no intention. But I do think you have to be realistic that in today's world, the first person you swipe on is not going to be your partner for life. Like, right. I probably went on like 500 dates before I met my partner. I think that's what we calculated when we did the episode with your friend, you know, rough back of the napkin math. But, you know, like I probably swiped on like 10 ,000 people. What do you think about it? Like this didn't happen overnight. So you have to kind of go through it. But that knowing knowing that it's going to happen, it made me approach dating a lot more positively. Yeah. And it does make you think, too, because I think we should give that advice to you. It's like everybody who does come into your orbit serves a reason. Yeah. So if they're not the right person for you, you can still learn something from them and then move on from it because that's not your person. It's like not time wasted. And we're not just like sitting around waiting for that person to show up at our doorsteps. We still got to be out there learning from people with people before we meet the right person, which is a mindset I'm in now because it was I again foray back into dating. I've been a little gun shy with online dating, but now I'm going on this. I'm taking myself on a romantic trip to Greece. Yes. And I'm going to be taking all the condoms with me because I feel like maybe, you know, dating abroad, strangers, no strings attached. Maybe the best way to get myself back into some sort of like a romantic mindset. You know, I don't need to think about the future. No, I just think about the now and have a great time. That's where you are right now. And like, I think as long as your mindset is open and positive, then you'll attract people into that orbit. Yeah, for sure. Into my web, my sex web. I'm just like picturing you on this cruise, like, you know, like Titanic style, just like in the front of trolling for a day.

Cinemavino
A highlight from Legend
"And welcome back to cinema vino. We've got a two man game going. It's me and Sean Jordan. Just one little handshake over here. Coming at you. We're like a garage band, two members just coming at you with some hard rock. Tenacious D. Yeah, exactly. Or the black keys, the white stripes. Yeah. Yeah. Both of those. Yeah. Yeah. There you go. Summer Chaos is now, this is the home stretch. Mine Meg. If this is the white stripes. Yeah. I think you're going to have to be. All right. Yeah. You're holding down, you're playing. Lying down the ones and the twos. Yeah. You're playing the quarter notes. That's about it. Yup. No fills. Which is how I like my drums anyway. She made the notes in the vamp up to the chorus. A little bit. That was one of the first songs I learned. There was a little bit of flavor. It was like a rice cake with a little bit of salt on it. Not a lot of salt, but a little bit of salt. Yup. So, this is a penultimate episode of Summer of Chaos. We're going to talk about legend. No, it's not penultimate. We've got this and then we've got Battle Royale. Oh, and then Dread. You're right. Dread. So, this is. And Robocop. This is penultimate to the penultimate. Yeah. Penultimate recording. And then I think Robocop's a gap. It's just kind of in between. Right. We just toss it in just because it sounds. Gap here. Yeah. Just a little bit of something to fill in. It's like a caulk that we used in between some tiles. Don't like that. But that's the metaphor I went for and there you go. It's a grout, ladies and gentlemen. Yeah. Drinking that imagery, won't you? So, we're going to talk about legend with Tom Cruise and we're drinking some white board dough. For those of you who are coming in late to this series, basically, we do a random wheel. We spin a wheel. We put a bunch of varietals on the wheel and also like beer and cocktails. Whatever the wheel picks, that's what we do for the Summer of Chaos. These movies were all picked out at random. We put random movies in the hat, drew them out. So, pretty much anything goes for this entire summer. And so, same thing with wine. Anything goes. So, for this one, we got white Bordeaux. This is Chateau La Fresnel. This is a 2022 white Bordeaux. Little bit of background for those who may not know. We were actually talking about this before the podcast that Bordeaux is now known as a red wine region. But up until about 50, 60 years ago, it was a white wine region. It was known for its white grapes. Bordeaux are going to be... White Bordeaux are primarily Sauvignon Blanc with some Simeon and some Muscadel. There's a few other grapes they mix in there, but those are the main three that you're going to see. Then they're mainly Sauvignon Blancs. Is this kind of like how like the Republican Party and the Democratic Party kind of switched identities somewhere in the like 40s, 50s? Around the New Deal? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Basically. Now, it's like five, six to one red wines to white. It used to be the opposite. You'll also see a type of wine made from these same grapes called a Sauternes, which is going to be... It's made completely differently. It's going to be a lot sweeter, a lot more sugary. Those are very fancy, high -end, expensive white wines. So, basically, just from the price tag alone, you'll never confuse a Sauternes with a white Bordeaux. These are going to be more affordable, you know, $15, $20 range. Not super sweet. It's a little more tart, a little peachy? Dry. And the first thing I think of is Sauvignon Blanc. And these will have some characteristics of the same characteristics of other Sauvignon Blancs in the world. They're going to be a little bit grassy, a little bit citrusy, grapefruity. They're going to have some of those same kind of flavors to them. The main thing that's going to distinguish these wines is going to be... I've heard it referred to as minerality. I've heard it referred to as wet concrete. I've heard it referred to as chalk. Tasty. Yeah, limestone. But kind of that dry, refreshing edge that you don't necessarily find in other parts of the world. Kind of like what brings the harshness of mineral water versus the softness of tap. Yeah, exactly. That's a good way to put that. Yeah. It's got like a bite to it. It's got kind of like a... Little edge. Yeah. And you don't find that... Like for example, New Zealand's often been known as grapefruit bombs. Big fruit bombs. And you don't see that as much. This is my favorite region for Sauvignon Blanc. They're balanced. That's why I love French wines in general. They don't go out of the way in any one direction. They're nice and balanced. And so it's great for that. This one has that nice... It's got some grassiness to it. It's got some fruit. But it's dry. And so this would be great. I mean, people say seafood. I'm not a big seafood fan, but kind of a lighter seafood meal is perfect for that. You're not a big seafood fan? Not a big seafood fan. Period? Not really. Shrimp? I mean, I don't mind shrimp. It's not my first thing I go to. Lobster. Yeah, same. Bass. Catfish. I don't mind catfish. I've had some catfish. That's garbage. Catfish is garbage. But I remember when we went to Barcelona, we took a cooking class. It was on our honeymoon. My wife and I, we did a... It was all seafood. We had some paella. We made some paella. We did octopus. We did squid. I mean, we tried the gamut of seafood stuff that they had in the Mediterranean. It was like... That was a good indication. It's like, I don't like this. This is not for me. Yeah, not my taste. It's fair. It's fair. But I will say that we did a wine kind of similar to this, a Spanish white. And yeah, this would be perfect with a wide variety of seafood. Some of the stuff that's bigger and more buttery, you might want to go for a white burgundy, like a chard. But this is a good hot weather, outdoor type of wine. It's nice and refreshing. I like it a lot. Yeah, 25 bucks, not a whole lot of money. But yeah, any good wine store, you should be able to find a nice white Bordeaux section. So look for those while the weather's still warm. But now, legend. Talk about this movie a bit. This was released in the United States April 18th, 1986. So... You say in the United States. Where did it come out before? It was released in Europe the year before. This had a very difficult production. This was a difficult movie to realize. It has a lot going on. So this grossed worldwide $23 million against a $25 million budget. In 86? That's a big budget. Huge. And for several reasons. A big reason for that is that when they started filming, a fire broke out and burned down the 007 studios where they were filming at Leaves in England. So pretty much had to build new sets. That's probably all the magic. Exactly. Yeah, some of the Sprite costumes caught fire. Or the unicorn hair. I can imagine, yeah. It's one wrong look, that unicorn horn. Yeah, it's gone. But they had to build new sets. And Ridley Scott's original cut of the movie ran for between two and a half, three hours. So... Jeez. And the final cut was like, what, hour and a half? Yeah. The version that I watched, I don't know if you saw the original 89 -minute version or if you watched the director's cut. I think I watched the 89 version. Okay, I looked around. I had trouble finding it. That's the version I know the best, so I went back to that one. The director's cut? No, the original. Oh, the original. Yeah. There's a director's cut out there. Is it like two to three hours? No. So basically, when the final cut of this print was released, Ridley Scott watched this cut and freaked out and thought that basically American audience couldn't grasp this much plot. And so he cut the film basically in half, down to 89 minutes. And when it came out, it got mediocre reviews. Obviously, he didn't do well at the box office. He just watered it down too much? Yeah. Gene Siskel put this as one of his worst movies of that year. And the international cut that came out the year before was 93 minutes. And it got a little bit better reviews, but still not great. And then in 2002, somebody found a full work print of the movie in a can somewhere. And so they took that out and restored it, remastered it, and really Scott added about 25 minutes to the cut that the director's cut. So it comes in at like 115 minutes, give or take. And he and Tom Cruise have gone on the record saying that's the version to see. I was going to say, I was reading that Tom Cruise saw the movie in theaters and was like, that's not the movie we filmed. Yeah. That's not it. I mean, you could imagine with that much cut out, it's going to be almost incoherent. It's like a whole other act. Yeah. Yeah. And so basically, the director's cut, yeah, it's a whole other fleshed out thing. And I have seen that once. I saw it when it came out. I think I've got that on DVD somewhere. And the one thing I would say is it does, it adds a few scenes. It makes the motivations a little bit deeper, especially for the character of the darkness and his relationship with the princess, Lily, and the stuff there. It's kind of just, not to cut to the chase, but it just kind of comes out of nowhere. He's just like obsessed with her. He's just like, oh, I must have her. It feels very rushed. It feels like a plot of necessity, not like a plot of, you know, any reason. They're just like, we need to stall him. How do we do it? Love interest. Yeah. And it's like, it's like I'm telling a story to my three -year -old and it's like, I got to kind of get something else in here. You got to kind of yada, yada, yada over motivations. We're coming in for a landing too quick. We got to just shoot. Pull up. Yeah. But so basically, this is a fairly straightforward fantasy story. Tom Cruise plays Jack, who is a protector of the forest. I was a little vague on what exactly he is. Is he a bard? Is he a ranger? I mean, he'd be more druid than anything. Is he a druid? Yeah, I couldn't place what he was supposed to be. It's like, this is where we need Travis. Yeah, he would be. And if Travis had an answer to that, I would be impressed. Because to me, they don't spell that out at all. I guess he would be more of a ranger. Yeah. Because he didn't really have any sort of like shape -shifting ability or had any ability to talk with trees. Really, his only thing was he had like one -on -one connection with the sprites, right? That's about it. Yeah, he had good buddies. A working relationship. And he wore a loincloth. Yes. So there was that. Dude, he was showing that thing off. He was. And that's what I, you know, in that situation, it's like, check out my hairless legs. My supine body. Yeah, check out these smooth legs. But, so Mia Sarah plays Lily. Now, this is her starring debut. Next year, she would go on to play in Ferris Bueller, amongst other things. Her hair when she transforms into a dark version. Awesome. Now, this great production value is great. Everything, costumes, hair. For 25 million, it better be. Yeah. Yeah. And those are real unicorns. Yeah, they better be. Yeah, I mean, now it's like, that'd be 100 million plus to make this thing. Easy. Easy. Easy. So yeah, Lord of Darkness, played by Tim Curry, who is unrecognizable in the mountain of makeup. Honestly, but might be one of my favorite representations of the devil. Yeah. Like, this makeup job is incredible. And in theory, we'll get to this later, that should be great casting to have Tim Curry. Yeah. I almost want to see more of Tim Curry in the face. Like, see more of him, you know. Almost, you know, Faustian devil and Daniel Webster kind of thing, where it's like, you can see like him being rascally or whatever. But yeah, so Lord of Darkness seeks to cover the world in darkness. Plot out the sun. Conveniently, yeah. Typical plot device. For that, he needs the horn of a unicorn, which is the most sacred and majestic of all fantastic creatures. Basically, he wants to take the unicorns out of the world, take the horns out of the world, and the world. The representation of purity. The horn of the unicorn. Yes. The world goes dark. Everything turns into kind of a barren, frigid tundra of darkness. He just has goblins that work for him inexplicably? Yeah, incompetent goblins. Yeah. It's nice. But they rhyme. They talk in riddles. They do. They do rhyme. But you know, he kind of has the James Bond villain of incompetent people working under him, you know. If anything, that's the thing that slows him down as much as, you know, these James Bond villains. Like, you hired a bunch of idiots. He also has, like, the Bond villain thing of, like, doing a lot of monologuing? Yes. Let me vamp for five minutes while you prepare your thing to destroy me. Yeah, let's me blather.

The Tennis.com Podcast
A highlight from Dissecting Djokovics Reign, Cocos Title & the 2023 US Open With Craig OShannessy
"Welcome to the official tennis .com podcast featuring professional coach and community leader Kamau Murray. Welcome to the tennis .com podcast. I am your host Kamau Murray and we are here with one of our usual suspects. We always have to do our Masters 1000 Grand Slam wrap up with Mr. Data, Mr. Analytics, Mr. Guy in the bunker with his pen and pad, Craig O 'Shaughnessy. Craig, welcome to the show. Pleasure to be here. Pleasure to be here. I just got back from the US Open. I was there for two weeks. It felt like eight. It's the most draining slam of all. It was a good tournament, some great matches. It's tough, I think way tougher to be there for the duration than any other tournament that there is. 100%. You survive. And the matches, the tournament goes so late and the process to get to and from the site makes it just a haul, right? And it makes the day just long. At an hour and a half to the front and the back of your day, in addition to sitting there watching matches and this thing. Before we get to Coco Sabalenka, because that'll take up the whole show, right? You and I normally, we dibble and dabble on the girls and then we dive into the men's. I want to do the reverse. I want to dibble and dabble in the men's because I don't think anyone's surprised about what happened because if we start talking about Coco and Sabalenka now, it'll just be the whole hour. So when you look at a whole two weeks, right, and I was there for the first part of it, seeing the energy, talking to the players, touching, feeling them, seeing how them and themselves A, were enjoying the atmosphere, sometimes a little too much, B, managing the atmosphere or C, trying to just control their bubble within the atmosphere. And I think that process probably, those three sort of situations probably cost Francis a further run, right, kind of getting caught in the matrix, right, absorbing a lot of atmosphere. And then Ben, with the experience of his family, his dad, controlling the atmosphere, probably had a lot to do with his long run. But I think the match that I think had the biggest impact on the tournament was definitely Novak versus Jerry. Did you see the match? What did you think when Novak left the court, down sucess to love, goes to the bathroom and looks himself in the mirror, what happened? Yeah, when he left the court, you know, it was, he's down two sets to love, Jerry's controlling the back of the court with his backhand, his backhand was the best shot on the court in the first two sets. But to be honest, even then Novak goes in, he's still the favorite, still the favorite down two sets to love. He's done it before, you know, it's one of those things where can your opponent play three blinding good sets out of five? Maybe not, probably not, when Novak goes in, you know, you just kind of reset, look in the mirror. He did exactly the same thing against Tsitsipas at Roland Garros, came out and just mowed over him in the last three sets, mowed over Jerry in the last three sets. It was a carbon copy, it's like Novak looks in the mirror and goes, okay, we've got that out of the way. Whether it's a combination of Novak being a little tight, playing, you know, a fellow countryman, it's a combination of early rounds being a bit tight. It's a combination of the opponent just playing spectacular tennis, but you can see right from the start of that match, Novak wasn't, his A game did not turn up right at the beginning. He was pushing, he was prodding, he was spinning, you know, just watching him play a thousand matches, you look at him and say, well, he's not there yet. And even after two sets, he's not there. But you know, sometimes for players, when you get down, it can relax you. It's like, well, I can't fall any further down this hall, I'm two sets to love down. May as well relax, may as well chill out, may as well believe in myself, may as well hit the ball, and Novak's the master of that. So I'm not so, I'm not surprised by the final result. And I think overall, it really helped Novak to play such a quality match and have to overcome some adversity early on. So I agree with you, very pivotal match for the men's draw. Well, let me ask you this, because from a coach's standpoint, when I see, when I see that type of performance, my mind goes to, it wasn't ready to play, right? When I look at like Francis and Ben Shelton, it looked like Francis wasn't ready to play. When I'm sitting in a coach's box and my player goes down 3 -0 or 4 -1, and they're like, deer in the headlines, don't know what to do, it was like, what was not clear prior to the match? You've spent a lot of time with Novak, Novak's got one of the best teams out there, he's the most methodical and committed to his regimen. How does something like that happen to a player who's number one, Jerry is Serbian, right? So you knew who you were playing, right? How did you come out not ready to play? I mean, is there a chance that at this big of an event, at this point in the event that he just wasn't ready or wasn't clear on what to do or from being close and inside, what do you think? Yeah, I think if you look back to Novak's seven matches, I think he will have a slightly different explanation for how he started in all sevens. You get all your ducks in a row, you watch the video, you talk to the team, you get the game plan, but at the start, it was like Novak, in that match, he may walk out there and sometimes he feels the energy of the crowd and it excites him. Sometimes you feel the energy of the crowd and you may go away a little bit and then come back. But I thought that he was attempting to work his way into this match, to start off even to let his resume do the talking early, let the other guy go away, let the other guy spray balls and it didn't happen. It just didn't happen. So all of a sudden, the opponent's not missing a thing, the opponent's playing at a much higher level than Novak was and you're just not ready for that. He's not ready for that. You're going to play a match like that. In the course of a season where these guys are playing about 80 matches, you're going to have these subtleties with how the opponent's playing, how you're playing, are you really ready, are you working yourself into the match, are you coming out guns blazing? And it was just a bad combination of layers for Novak where Jerry threw the first punches, Novak's tasting blood, and it took him a couple of sets to recover, but there was never any doubt in my mind that he would still win that match. And I think that's the oddest thing. I think the odds makers, after being two sets, Novak was still the favorite and I was like, wow. That's probably the first time that I've seen that, I'm not a better, but the odds makers were still favoring Novak. So let me ask you this. Another pivotal match in the tournament, I think, was TFO Ben Shelton. Yeah, I was at that match. I think we all knew Ben Shelton could play. I thought it was very impressive, him beating Tommy Paul, right? One of the things, and I don't know the reason for this, is when he beat Tommy Paul, the crowd, obviously they had to choose, both Americans, Ben and Tommy, but when Ben beat Tommy, I was a little disappointed that the crowd was kind of quiet, right? But we don't have to hop on that, but I do want to point it out that the crowd was eerily quiet after the win of that. But with him and Francis, one of the things that concerned me about Francis was in that New York environment, with all the celebrities, with all the kind of like, and I mean, first of all, we got to keep it going. More non -tennis people, more non -tennis athletes, musicians, entertainers, artists showed up to the US Open this year than I can ever remember. And we need to do that for the sport to grow. But you still got a tournament to play, right? And this generation who loves that, loves the attention, will have to learn to balance how much is too much, how much gets me off kilter, and how much gets me off track. And I thought that the day before the Ben match, you saw Francis with Bieber. I thought that that was a little too much and perhaps maybe took for granted that Ben would shit his pants, and he didn't, right? You know what I mean? Because when you get to that point in the tournament, when you are the veteran, you kind of expect the young guy to give you a couple, like, ah, if I just play solid, he'll know who he is, and the shock factor will cause him to make a few unforced errors or some bad decisions, and it didn't happen. And to me, that goes in the book of, Francis didn't look ready to play, and I think he'll learn from this experience on managing the energy, managing his energy, for that late in the tournament. But I mean, Ben brought it. What was your take on Ben now when you look at the stats, when you look at the 149 mile an hour serve, what is your take on him now having seen him play six matches? Well, the Tommy Paul match was really good. I liked how he managed the ability to say, okay, this is a ball to pull the trigger on. I spoke with his dad at the start of the tournament, and I mentioned possibly our discussion that we've had in other ones is that I think Ben's maturity is going to come from figuring out when there's one more ball that needs to be hit. There's just one more ball. And I think maybe I talked to you about it last time, but it goes back to me to the 2000 Australian Open final. Agassi beats Kefalnikov in four sets. Agassi's one in the world, Kefalnikov's two. Agassi goes to the post -match interview. Bruce McAvaney is interviewing there, and they're watching some film, and Agassi's just going, you know, Kefalnikov moves well, he lights the ball up, the surface helps him, and he throws this line in there, he goes in the middle, he goes, and he's only looking to pull the trigger one time in the point. So he's a really tough opponent. And that just has always stuck with me. And that's what I said to Ben's dad is that Ben needs to just go, I could pull the trigger on this ball, but it's not quite the right one yet. I could pull the trigger on the next ball. Literally, you could pull the trigger on every ball he hits. But growth, his his maturity, his tennis development and tennis IQ is getting better because you're hitting a ball that makes the opponent uncomfortable, you're hitting a ball that can extract an error, and you don't always have to hit the winner. So Ben's development is going to be predicated on one more ball in the court and making a better decision on when to pull the trigger. And I thought he did a great job in the Tommy Paul match and a great job in the Francis Tiafone match of not pulling too early. And then he went and played Novak and just everything went to hell in a hand basket. And it didn't. But that was, you know, I was for the Tiafone match getting back to that. You know, I'm watching at the start and the first kind of 10 minutes, it looked kind of even, you know, good decisions, both sides, good points, both sides. Francis was so quick coming to the net. He does such a great job of, you know, hitting a ball and he's already leaning on it, you know, with his short little backswing on the backhand. And all of a sudden he's almost leaning over the net, spiking these volleys. I'm like, oh, my God, this guy has figured out, you know, the only person I saw that really blew me out of the water with that was McEnroe, John McEnroe. He looked like he went through a time warp, whereas it takes, you know, all of us 1 .5 seconds to move from the baseline inside into the service box. But he goes through this time warp that looks like 0 .2 of a second. He's like, how does he get in there that quickly? Francis showed me that early on. But then the focus, the concentration, the locked in, the decision making started to erode at around the 10 to 15 minute mark, and he never recovered from that. Yeah. So you get Ben has Novak in the semifinals. And I think that Novak, I mean, just has this ability to you know, it's what I was it's kind of what Coco did. I call it cumulative pressure. And it is. I'm going to run the ball down, I'm going to make you hit an extra ball, I'm going to make you play one more ball every point on your serve so that later you feel it. You may not feel it now, but later you feel it. And that was an example of what I call cumulative pressure that kind of got to Ben. Yeah. What was your take on what Novak did to Ben or vice versa, what Ben did not do that match that he did the previous matches? Yeah, good point. That was that was a really fun match to be at the energy, the atmosphere, you know, the old guard, the new guard. You're exactly right. There was, you know, on that court in twenty eighteen, I worked with Novak to defeat Del Potro. And a lot of the commentators, when you go back and go through that match, they're like, Del Potro is dropping 135, 138 and Novak's putting it back in his shoes. And the commentators are like, how in the world is he doing this? Well, there's only one way that you do that is that you study Del Potro's patterns and you know what to say. When Del Potro needs a point in the juice court, he's going to and when he doesn't need a point, he's going to go, why? Novak's sitting there on it. And I felt the same thing is that Ben's dropping heat on especially on first serves. And Novak is putting so many balls back in play that you're exactly right, that it just kept accumulating and accumulating. The other thing that really stood out to me. That I don't know why is that Ben sliced so many returns, just this slow, just not even like a Federer kind of knifing, dark slice, it's this blocking slow slice that's not as good as Wawrinka's. It's not within a meter of the baseline. It's there was once he's just too defensive. So he's putting no pressure, no pressure on Novak because because he overdid the slice. Now, all of a sudden, he's got to deal with so many serves coming back and then the decision making. Then he starts, you know, the fingers kind of on the trigger, then he starts pulling it too much. And then, you know, Novak knows why this kid is potentially a real problem for me. But I've already figured him out about 15 minutes in. He's not doing anything against my serve. I'm doing everything against his serve and putting times back. I'm just going to press cruise control and take a nap for the next 30 kilometers. Yeah. And I think that was probably the one mistake and probably a tactic that was misinterpreted was, hey, if on his serve, put pressure on because you get racket on every ball, not to bunt every ball. Right. Because Novak is the is the history, the best returner in history, but he's not the best server in history. And he I don't want to call it vulnerable, but you will have an opportunity or two against Novak on his serve in a five set match. And I thought, Ben, with as great of a service he had, with as big of a service he has, he didn't take enough risks on the return gains and he didn't play. Correct. And when I say aggressive, I don't mean like crazy out of this world, we're winners, but controlled aggression. There was no reason Novak serving a buck 21, a buck 22 for you to block the serve back. You can have plenty of time to take a full swing and at least send a message for the rest of his career that your serve doesn't bother me. Right. Part of being a young guy is how do I apply cumulative pressure that may not work this match, but in three or four matches from now in the next semi? Right. Because you still got to go through Novak that shows them I'm not bothered by your serve and you better be you will be bothered by my serve. Right. And I think that was sort of a missed opportunity for Ben to take some cuts at Novak serve. And I think that set the tone for the match that allowed Novak to kind of steam roll.

Travel Arbitration 101 With Marcus Rutherford
"The most sort of highly asked questions that we get is what is arbitration? It's interesting because the traditional way of dealing with disputes over contracts or various claims is obviously to go to court but arbitration is a sort of private dispute resolution system so it allows people in dispute to avoid having to use the court system but still get a decision by an independent third party which is capable of being enforced by the courts. So it has the advantages of being a judicial type system, someone sitting there listening to both sides of the argument, but it's slightly more user -friendly, the cost can be less, and it can be quicker as well. So it's a useful way of privately resolving disputes. And in the context of the travel arbitration scheme, it's a documents only process which allows consumers to submit the documentation that they want the arbitrator to consider online or by post and means they don't have to go to court and stand in front of a judge and so on to go through the process. Yes and that helps bring the costs down because obviously if you're going through a court system and there's going to be a hearing in court before a judge, just getting people into court on the same day together is a costly process. If you can resolve disputes relating to contracts and simple disputes within the travel industry, if you can do that online by looking at documents and dealing with things in a modern electronic way, it dramatically reduces the costs for everybody involved. And let's look at costs now then because again people, it's a common ask question, how much does it cost? So there are two different elements to costing for consumers for using the scheme. For claims under seven and a half thousand pounds, which is by far the majority of claims that come under the scheme, the average claim value is somewhere between three and a half and four thousand. So for all of those claims the cost is 90 pound plus VAT, which is 108 pound. And for claims which are more than seven and a half thousand and under 25 ,000 and these tend to be big family holidays to big international resorts or cruises, you know worldwide cruises and things like that, the cost is 112 pound 50 plus VAT, which is 135 pound. So they compare very favorably to the costs associated with going to court, which can be significantly higher, especially once you've gone through the whole process of the court action. Yes and often in court people feel that they must have lawyers to help them through the process and the scheme is designed in a way to be simple enough for people to use on their own without lawyers. And of course one of the great benefits of the scheme is that if you make a claim and you win, you get more than the travel company has offered to settle the claim, you'll get your fee back.

"Leaving a job, getting fired from a job, having to have that surgery on my vocal cords, anything, all those little moments of having to kind of overcome something, I can do more than I think I can. I can kind of shut that thing out of my brain that says, no. Welcome to the Career Relaunch podcast, featuring personal stories of career change to inspire you to reinvent your own career. My name is Joseph Liu, and I'm here to help you gain the clarity, confidence, and courage to make brave changes in your career that allow you to do work you find more meaningful and enjoyable. In each episode, I feature people who have boldly stepped off the beaten path to relaunch their careers. We talk through their unique personal journeys, the challenges they overcame, and the lessons they learned along the way to help you understand what it takes to relaunch your own career. Today, my guest is going to share her story of going from a Broadway performer to a web engineer. We'll discuss how to manage the pursuit of multiple professional paths and when to give things one more chance before completely closing a chapter in your career. Afterwards, during today's Mental Fuel, I'll share how I manage and accept the messiness of career transitions. I once heard somewhere that your happiness is equal to what you experience minus your original expectations. I want you to think for a moment about the original blueprint you once had for your career. What did you want to be when you grew up? I'm guessing if you're like me, your actual career trajectory has been very different from what you imagined and how you expected things would transpire, and your ability to roll with the punches and absorb the shocks that inevitably come up along the way of any professional journey can make a huge difference to where you ultimately end up. My guest today is Carla Stickler, who's gone through some serious twists and turns in her career. She's currently a web engineer at Spotify, but prior to this work she spent over a decade performing in musicals. She's best known for her performance as Elphaba in Wicked on Broadway, and has performed her own cabaret as a guest entertainer on board Norwegian and Disney cruise lines. With a BFA in acting from NYU Tisch and master's degree in theater education from NYU Steinhardt, she was a voice teacher in New York City and made appearances as a teaching artist and guest speaker at thespian festivals around the country. Although she now works for a streaming music company, Carla's remained passionate about reframing the narrative of the starving artist and encourages young artists to take agency over their careers by developing skills that can provide them with financial stability along their artistic journey. I really enjoyed hearing Carla's story because she gets into a very common tension that exists between what you want to do that's a bit unknown and what you have always done before that is very well known, and when to cut the cord and start a new chapter in your career. You can get all the show notes from today's conversation at careerrelaunch .net slash 99. Carla spoke with me from Chicago.

It All Leads Back to Poetry With Vernon "VCR" Robinson
"Know that legacy is really important. One of the reasons why I'm doing this show. You know we talked earlier about nationality and heritage. And I'm leaving a blueprint right. These episodes and shows will forever be etched in social media land or internet land. However you want to you know frame it. You know but. My great great great grandchildren will be able to go and listen to this. And hear my voice and get a sense of my personality and my opinion. So this is my body of work that I'll be leaving behind. If I die tomorrow there's a year's worth of episodes that I've done. And people that I've talked to and touched that I probably don't even know about. So I think poetry allows us to do that. You know I love poetry. I love spoken word for that reason. Because we get a chance to talk about all types of emotions, situations. Do all type of word plays and everything. Like it's one of the most freeing forms of art. I think next to probably writing a song or music or drawing or painting. It's poetry. And it's poetry. Exactly. Exactly. And that's the thing about dealing with poetry. You know when people say I don't like poetry. I say well do you really know what poetry really means? You know what I'm saying? Do you understand? You know it's not a case where. You know and all cliches aside. You know poetry is bigger than that. You know everything comes out of poetry. You know whether it be spoken word. Whether it be rhyming. Whether it be singing. Whether it be art. It all starts with a poem. You know how many artists that I've met. And if you dig back. Even Roxanne Shante when we met her on the cruise. She said she started off with poetry. Most artists will tell you that they started off writing poems. And that led into writing songs. Or being a rapper or lyricist. It started with a poem. Yep. Their love for words started in poetry. Right. And like I said there's also other forms. Whether you're painting. Like you mentioned. Whether you're dancing. You know what I'm saying? You know it's so much. You know that is a form of poetry. You dance and you see. It's a form of expression basically. Right. It's all artistic. If you can express yourself rhythmically. Yeah that's poetry. You express yourself visually. That's poetry.

Broadcasting 24 hours a day at Bloomberg .com and the Bloomberg Business Act, this is Bloomberg Radio. This is not an end of bull market run, this is just a correction. One thing that really stands out is how kind of rational or orderly a lot of the elements of this all up is. I think we are in a situation where we are seeing pressure on many central banks. The Fed is going to cut rates next year, that's what the equity market wants to hear in order to have a sustainable move higher. The Fed will back off if inflation comes down. This is Bloomberg Surveillance with Tom Kean, Jonathan Farrow and Lisa Abramowitz. This has not been a quiet August at all, live from New York City this morning. Good morning, good morning. For our audience worldwide, this is Bloomberg Surveillance on TV and radio alongside Lisa Abramowitz, I'm Jonathan Farrow. Snapping a four -day losing streak on the S &P 500 in yesterday's session and adding just a little bit more weight to the S &P 500. Equity is up here by 0 .5%. There have been many surprises for 2023. The US economy has been one, upside surprise after upside surprise. Consumer very discretionary much in focus with the airlines and the cruise operators. Bramo retail in focus this morning all over again. We've been getting a slew of earnings, whether it's Macy's, whether it's Lowe's, Dick's Sporting Goods, and we will work through all of them. But the highlight really is resilience and we keep seeing that despite some concerns. We've seen that in the shares so far year to date. People continue to spend and that has been the story. This sets up the conversation for us pretty well with Chairman Powell on Friday. That speech 1005 Eastern Time at Jackson Hole, Wyoming, the annual Fed get -together. I'm sure you're all familiar with it.

He did talk about his life in music and musical bowl. Cunard vessels over the years. That was that was really interesting so it was a full programme of events. Lots of live music in loads different venues in the evening probably at any one time on a night this podcast six or seven places you can go for different sorts of live music so it was. It was definitely a partial. Let anything get in the way of that as christmas. Listening to this later in the week. I'm sure is going to be very jealous about the thought of him. Doing his own presentations in. Yeah let's jump into dining for a little while Let's start off what you've touched on the lido already. But if if you dining alita if you had state room service if you dine in the britannia or if you even went into the specialty restaurants let's touch on any of the donning. The you experience of what you particularly light. Yeah great so we. We spent most of our time in the britannia restaurant. Because it's it's it's a very nice space to be so we lost. We did eat the leader a few times as well so that was really good. Derringer is a specialty. Which we were we were thinking about doing. We had look at the menu and it looks lovely but it doesn't look like appreciably any better than than you gals where. I'm i'm sure is fantastic. So we thought we'll just stick with what we know so so we did that so again. It's slightly hearts compared to the donate before but but there are there. Are clearly some differences with with with how the dining service is running in britannia. So the first obvious one is that the upstairs was was largely closed. So there were..

"The spaces and the and the musk kind of conformance was exceptional. I mean way more than ever on land in the uk and were you know. Were pretty rules. Rules rules following nation literally. Everybody had a mask on one hundred percent of the time when they should have done Which you know was was was good to say. And i think i think the roofs were were very reasonable. So people were people were happy to of gophers or in the theater. Several several seats blocked off amid the distancing. And you did have to keep your mask on in the theater. So that awesome meant no food and drink in the theater. Which i think is something. That's maybe a bit different from if you if you if you if you beat on that before show ads. of course the buffet has not been taken away. Those lots of rooms back in the early days ago that the the buffet was gone. But it's there on almost every ship still but it is just Just serve to you now. I guess yes that's right. This is the this is the Lotto restaurant at the top and That was a table service. That's right And they were offering Breakfast lunch and dinner and often tease. Well thanks so pretty much a full service through the day and then you could kind of Just woke up and pointed the stuff you wanted if you wanted. Tally teas coffees cakes. And pastries and morton ours and a member of staff would serve that from behind a table to kind of a little bit Sort of back from the usual buffet screens and whatnot Sadat i mean clearly. They think that's going to come back in the future. The hung ripta near the or anything but it was all it was all quite nicely done and actually that was. That was quite squad cunard. Isn't it really but that was little theme throughout the there was a nice attention to detail when it had to put temporary measures so if in the in the theater for example when i mentioned that some of the seats were knocked off. They were kind of Quite tasteful fabric signs that you know that had been specially printed with you know. Don't don't don't sit here and and it matched the fabric of the seats in the had velcro on it was all nicely done. It wasn't you know somebody's printed at all on a piece of four papers stuck it up there. Saturday was Yeah that's right so they tried to blend in with the aesthetic in it as as as as less obtrusive as possible which was get brilliant and out to the public areas atten about around the ship. We'll we'll get dining second but public areas. And general lounges theater. Was there any particular space that that was yours. The e went back to time and time again just whether it was a quiet spot or something that was just that the cold weather is a music something. Did you have a favorite place on board. Yeah well it was. It was nice to be out on the open decks to be honest just to see some movement in the c. and c. c. sites that we just haven't seen for many years really so that was quite nice..

"If you're going to get that particular room in you have that lovely cooler there. Don't bother don't put your water in it to stay cold. I'm so glad you brought that up because that actually drove me nuts every day not having a place to put our water bottles to keep them cold because it was so hot and it says right on the outside. This is not a refrigerator. it's a cooler. But it looks like a mini fridge guys and it makes noise. It makes noise like a fridge but it does nothing. It's basically like putting your stuff in an ice chest with no ice. If that makes sense doesn't not keep it cool so i don't know if it was just this room but i don't think it was. I think it was all the rooms because they all have that same sticker that says this is not a a refrigerator. It is a cooler definitely not a refrigerator. And if you have medication that needs to stay cool. You're in trouble. You better go to the front desk and get a better solution because it's not going to keep yourself cold okay mr cruise ships. Tv we have some viewer or listener questions from facebook about adventure of the seas. And i'm going to buzz through these. We're see what we can. We can do. Rob caffeine said. Did it seem like the cruise was full or do you think there were empty cabins while rob there were only one thousand eleven people on a cruise ship that holds between three thousand and thirty eight hundreds of felt really chill and really empty yeah We felt like it was a total treat and it was very much empty. All right Judy said do you. Know which countries are allowed to board which ships and from which countries. I'm canadian and our website for msc doesn't allow us to board any of their ships in europe. Yeah know judy. This is really confusing right now. And it's really country by country since we're mostly answering questions about adventure of the seas gonna just say i share in your frustration and that my recommendation to you right now is to find a travel agent in canada that you trust that you know is very experienced with cruising and have them help you with this. Because it's a lot to navigate. It's a lot theresa messenger. Set him going on adventure of the seas july seventeenth. What day did you get your piece yard tests done. "Maybe we have been a little spoiled by a few cruise lines like princess where the beds are just really exceptional but otherwise i think just not dingy would be all that that'd be looking for so that was another miss another miss and this again this there. You can't avoid this. But i gotta say that the paperwork to get into the bahamas was a little bit stressful. Due to the timing of the cova test you have to take to get the bahamian health visa. And here's why this was a little bit more stressful for us. The bomb is health visa. Is this online application that you have to complete where you go in and fill in a bunch of personal information you also fill in information about where you're staying on the island or what cruise ship you're going to be on all of. It's a little bit confusing because they don't really hard to kind of explain the vessel and the address of the vessel is all. That's a little bit much. And that's just how travel is right now guys anywhere. You're going in the caribbean. You probably have to out something similar so this is just the way it is but then add to the fact that we were flying in early to the bahamas and that royal caribbean decided to tell us a week before the cruise that we had to have a cova test to get on the ship so we had to co vitesse junior for the bahamian health visa. Because he's not vaccinated and we had to cova test. The whole family to get on the royal caribbean cruise. And the timing was stressful. I'm not faulting. The bahamian government. They have to be careful. They have to do the stuff but just from a travel stress perspective. It was hard for this cruise. So i'm not I'm going to say that. As i mentioned on a recent instagram post where i talked about some of the traveling anxiety i experienced before i went to saint martin. It isn't easy to travel right now. Guys it's it's an added layer of work paperwork and documentation that you may not be ready for Had i not gone through my experience going to saint martin and getting all of that knowledge built up. This would have been extremely stressful for us. Because it's a lot. If you have a lot of paperwork printed off you have to have your you know your passport has to be in front of you which is not new but in addition to passports you're talking cova test vaccine proof boarding passes for the flight boarding passes for the crews and the flights at least with american airlines. Unless you downloaded verify you can't even check in for your flight the day before so there's lines at the airport. There's added stress. Stresses do i fault the airlines. No do i fault the bahamian government. No do i. Fault royal caribbean no. It's just the way travel is right now..

That was all included in through a waterpark. You mean side dish tour chicken sandwiches. Say tickets shoot. That's all right. That is exactly what i meant in those chicken sandwiches are worth it. They're so good. Especially when you're burning calories on the dare-devils peak climb right mr cruise ships tv. Yes so i wanted to also talk a little bit about packing in this episode. But i've decided that it deserves. Its own video. And i'm thinking i'm even going to write an article on our website about our packing hits and misses because i feel that after a few weeks of being home. I have a lot to say about what we did. I've had a few people ask me about the water shoes and have to give you guys a spoiler. We bought water socks not water shoes for this cruise. And we didn't wear them. You know it's a bummer. Because it seemed like it was going to be a perfect solution to a problem that we've had in the past but we did not have that problem this time and what problem was problem was burning hot cement right but we just didn't encounter it so we didn't need them exactly and i i have to say though..

Who knows quite a quite a stay wasn't yeah yes. Initially there at the at the entrance. Endless refused entry times crazy times which leads me very angry into the next situation. Where i'm obviously we've got sco all premier off to The g seven summits which is actually using a cruise ferry accommodates the various police forces from around the world to make this g seven summit happen without shift g seven summit couldn't happen yes i know. Isn't that strange to think that Thousand people will be Housed on board. One of these crease varies Sixty thousand tonne ship and Fully very loosely. She's clubbing juries. She's more of a crew and it is interesting though as well. Because around the world whilst the cruise ships where out light up many of the cruise ferries of considerable songs. Yeah i mean you look at a sixty six thousand first time ferry. Toss aside this team in the different areas and different designs. Also thing i can give some decent sized cruise ships voice of that size so historically Some some big ferries have actually being converted into biking serenade. I think it was for row. "Starting july tenth so royal caribbean folks. Right now if you wanna cruise. I'm sorry but it's that's where it's at. There is just so much going on with royal caribbean right now. They're they're coming in hot. I am really interested to see how carnival can pull something together in the coming weeks to match now. We know that's going to happen. It's looking really good. For for texas and florida but sounds like they're still working through some things and Hopefully we'll have more clarity on that mr cruise ships. Tv if you had to pick if you had to pick would you go on a cruise out of the bahamas or would you go on a cruise out of florida if you had to choose if was all equal and you had to pick. What would you pick. That's a tough one because there. There are a lot of things you have to consider. You have to consider your hotel accommodations and things like that. I think my reaction would be out of florida. Yeah just a little easier. Yeah and now that you can do it so soon. I'm wondering if a lot of people who may be are booked on adventure of the seas out of bahamas thinking like. Oh i want to go all the way to the bahamas you know. Just try to get something stateside. I wanna i wanna hear news about more international travel opening up. Though i'd like to hear about you know. European cruises in asia cruises and things. The european cruises are happening quite a bit. In fact i believe isn't it harmony of the seas that's cruising from barcelona and rome starting august. What i don't know about harmony the seizes if they're allowing americans that's what i understand. I understand the the the cruising is starting up there. But i'm about us getting on them. I know you're anxious to get a broader view. Yes you wanna go to japan. You want to go to northern europe anywhere just anywhere. I think you're excited to get out of the. Us mr cruz. "Canaveral was really cool. If we lived there we would have been there. That would be one of those things where i would have been absolutely happy to get up early and drive over and check it out for sure. Yeah so carnival. Also appears to be restarting from florida and texas in july. We don't have a whole lot of specifics on that. But what we do know is that carnival has received the cdc's acceptance of phase two a which the port agreements phase right. So they've got those first three homeports kind of nail down and they've announced that carnival horizon from miami vista and breeze from galveston will be the first ships to carry guests and they're planning on returning to service in july and they're also prioritizing port canaveral for a restore restart but there's just more information of coming. Interestingly enough carnival hasn't really shared their plans vaccination. I think everybody kind of expected that carnival will be the last line to require vaccines but christine dot has kind of indicated that at least in the beginning that may not be the case that they might be requiring vaccinations which is really tricky because a lot of families crews carnival so hopefully by the time. This podcast airs. We'll have a little more clarity from carnival on exactly what ships are sailing and when out of those two states and have a little bit more ability to get on a book those cruises because in a moment we're going to talk about royal caribbean. Royal caribbean his back in a very big way. And they're you know kind of competitors here so you think carnival would want to be matching their pace but before we talk about roe. Caribbean norwegian has pulled some interesting changes and redeployments few weeks. They actually canceled their ships. Out of the dominican republic jamaica. They had sent these other ships down there because of the delay and restart from the us but then when the state side interest started to become really evident and You know they started to see more hope for people booking cruises sooner than later out of the us. They pulled those ships out of the dominican republic jamaica. And they're they're going to wait it out and come back to the us. So that's exciting. But we gotta talk about royal caribbean because royal caribbean. You guys is back in a big big way now. We know that they had already announced that they were going to be cruising to alaska this summer. We knew that but they've recently announced over the last week that they've also got returned dates for voyages from texas and florida. And there's so many of them. I'm going to go through everything but let's talk about rx. World caribbean saying right. Now about vaccines because i think a lot of us thought because of Mister feigns constant focus on vaccines. We all thought that vaccines we're going to be like a hard and fast requirement for royal caribbean. But that's not what they're saying..

I've done it actually five times now. It's remarkable and it's one of the true great cruise experiences to is the only ocean line in the world. Every other ship taking passes all cruise ships if the only passenger ship in the world that specifically designed to handle the north atlantic. The ship is one of a kind. It's a very specific design. Harks back to the glamorous. The glory days of against the thirties forties fifties early sixties. When sailing was your only option to cross the atlantic now with its art deco inspired decor the seventies. See fly by. Because there's so much to do. Cunard are absolute masters having done these crossings for basically over century as a company on board. You feel like you're part of something historic something special and that's why it's one of the greatest cruises in the world. Some of you may be asking. Why on earth are the two biggest cruising regions the caribbean and mediterranean. Not come up yet in detail on my list and i've had many highly enjoyable really fun cruises to both whether it's those seniors are excites famous cities barcelona road florence vanish in the mediterranean. Or going to the fabulous beaches in the caribbean. Why have out out so far appeared. Well however great these cruises ours vacation. And i really do enjoy doing them. They don't quite tip into the greatest cruises in the world in my view. They are fantastic vacations. But then not the greatest cruises. Am i wrong about that..
