"Jfk's nation people think they're only four pastors in the car but they were actually six. Even though this article says there were seven it lists stop seven even though it says they were sick. So i'm confusing. I'm confused. that can be confusing to. I always remember seeing for or there's discussion videos of it which the videos and the reenactments also always show for so. That's probably what's causing that. But yeah i saw this when the other day and the three rows. Well okay so. The truth is the total number of passengers in the car. Were sick so i'm guessing they're they're not counting the driver as a passenger because to secret service agents the governor and his wife the president and first lady that's six and then they also list the driver so that's seven some confused because it says these included so the passenger car and these included seven people so there are mattress wrong but whatever all right Lucy you've got some split into do Out i love lucy. Apparently she never said he never said that he was filmed saying splaine. That if you can and lucy plane that's right never said lucy. You have some explaining to do. That's right see is it. Okay i was gonna say i could see it without lucian it. Maybe it's just because it's referenced so much at it's engraved in my head. But i don't remember seeing that in the movie but i know my older brother. Chris quoted that all the time movie tv. Show sorry. I know i know it's right. Just for the fact that jackie's. "That's why she's so. Hell bent on getting all those dogs. Because she knows she's going to need them to stay young forever and you need backup dogs. You can't just have seventy you need backup dogs. They need all hundred one dollars. I mean the person that owns one hundred dogs is pretty selfish. She only need seven. That's that's very true. Yeah but who's gonna immortality. This is this is. This is the plan. Don't mess around like ten. Is playing it safe. Honestly seven is once again far more than you need. Yeah play play. One hundred and one is safer and you can't tell me otherwise it's not safe i just did. It is actually to make that he told you otherwise anyway. I guess that's my answer. Everyone's going to have dogs conclusion. cruella deville since carrie. Also that all right. We've we've got long because we we talk about video games all time. So let's jump into a would you rather and rep this baby up chris. Yes would you rather be stuck in an elevator or on a ferris wheel. Twenty four hours I assume ferris wheel is not moving. I guess it could be moving. But i imagine it's like i imagine it's like the situation where you're stuck in the on top of it and stopped moving. Yeah is it better worse. It's moving actually I think it's better if it's moving. Is it thanks. So i think it's better if it stopped right. Well i mean. I guess we're saying that you're stuck on it but if it was moving than you could possibly try to get out although i will say i will say this for being stuck versus moving. If it's stuck you'll feel all the motions like regular structural movements of the ferris wheel and be like. Oh shit. is this thing about to break while it's moving. You don't feel those as much because the the primary motion feeling is just around. Is it like about two followers is just no no..
"cruella deville" Discussed on Who Invited Her?
"Everybody, welcome to another episode of who invited her. We are Sunday Goes lgbtq Pop Culture podcast. I am your host Tony and I'm here with my own nose Jose. Hi bash, darling. Yes, and Eric is here to say. Hi, Eric. Hey everyone off. Mr. Worldwide from the 305. I just wanted to say what's up before I get on my flight and bring on your next guess fish out. And you guys you heard from Mary MTG at the beginning of the show. She is not here this week, but I am so excited. She is back. It has been so long since she's been on the show and we love it when she's on Jenny is here filling in this week a jetpack and you're dressed up as I mean do I I know Elvira look at your bigger booming. So just like grape they're dead. Add your prettiest arrive is here and Robbie and I for the podcast listeners are dressed up as Trixie and Katya. Hey everybody. I'm here to pick up based in for the podcast are the YouTube people are watching. We based it off of these two pictures are look cuz we picked specific Trixie and Katya. So here Tracy how she really good and then here's me costara. I am you guys right off the bat just Trixie makeup is no joke, it's hard. It is hard time sign was a it took me today about almost 2,000 hours exact a little over to put the makeup on I got robbed done in about an hour and half and then look like this, but you guys are Halloween song. Episode I soaked. Oh my God. Oh my God, that is too funny. So for our pigs listeners Eric is dressed up as J Lo, but Grammy JLo in the Versace dress where everything was replaceable wage. Oh my God. That is too good for everyone Hi. Hi everyone. Wow! Where did you get that? So this is actually purchased from Sheen. I feel $18 for it is very expensive tell you I got my jacket off of she end. Yeah. Yeah. Yes. So for every for the podcast of the sensor is Bosch is dressed up as a male version of Cruella Deville coat and everything. Okay. So, how how did you how did you feel? Why did you pick Cruella this this costing battery for Halloween this year Corolla is my favorite Disney villain and I'll tell you why because we share a lot of the same traits that she smokes a lot of weed song She Drives like a psychopath like you she's got good style, but she has a Russians of sheer and utterly terrifying anger. Yeah wage and she likes to smoke a big stick. But wait, I think I have a sound effect for that. Do I know off? smoking side effects the big stick smoking. Yes, so Rob and I decided to Katya and Trixie because when I love them, I think they're so funny and then we picked the specific looks and we're like God we were going to do something. Well the original idea for a costume is this year was Mommy Dearest where she has the white face in the wire hanger and he was going to be Christina as a little girl and then we were like no let's do something like crazy that probably nobody would expect so Trixie and Katya. This is like Katya and Trixie when they're old in there. Like Fifty's still trying to drag this is what they're going to look like going to do it then yeah, me too. I'm so since we're talking Halloween last night you guys home I checked out the Bette Midler Hocus Pocus. The reunion of the Sanderson sisters called finding the sandersons and it's so Bette Midler does every year. She's Very well known for doing a big Halloween party for the New York restoration project where they raised money for Gardens and to bring Greenery back to New York and this ball that she does every year is so well-known celebrities everything it's huge. So this year because we're in a pandemic she did a virtual version of it where you buy a ticket for $10 and it goes towards the organization and it was all hocus-pocus and the whole thing was like documentary-style hosted by Alvira who looks amazing. Still Cassandra Robert gray. She looks like she has not aged like she looked phenomenal and then it was her and then George Lopez mom. What oh, and then they had like star-studded like Glenn Close was in it. Meryl Streep was in it. George Lopez was in it off. What's the uncle uncle what's his name from Full House Stamos played the devil John stamp. Yeah, he was in it. It was just like so many celebrities took all have little cameos, but it was like a documentary style of Alvira trying to find the Sanderson sisters and bringing back that yeah, it was really cute. But like everything in the pandemic assume version. It's like a little rough cuz they're all doing it sounds like filming and then at the half the half way point then the Sanderson sisters come out altogether. They still look so good. Like it was like so nostalgic to see them back together now and then they did I Put a Spell on You to close the show and yeah, it was wrong. We can watch again or it doesn't know if it was a one-time thing or if they're going to like release it or somebody recorded it on YouTube. Yeah. I've been talking about that long enough for so long. Yeah, I'm sure but did I ever tell you I knew Kathy. What's your name? Yeah. Yeah very new dream. Yeah. She was my next door. Neighbor's were like her nieces. Really? Yeah. I heard she was really I mean I saw her once at scsu home theater for concerts. She was sitting right in front of me. She's pretty she's incredibly ironically incredibly outspoken about animal rights as I'm dressed as Corolla that I thought wow bad. Wow. She did this thing one time where she like had all of these Billboards in San Diego airports about like the mistreatment of the whales really the way home. The Shamu's the orchids. Yeah those yeah, don't talk about Miriam. She's not here..

"A bit a a consolation for Rose isn't it to be see see her parents others I suppose but yeah just it was a perfect way to say good-bye to Rose to have her there but she can't be with the doctor and looking back at it. This was around about the time. I'd started watching the series with the had had a girlfriend the the time who was into Doctor Who and I am pretty sure it was this episode. remember remember watching this episode crying at Rose leaving and realizing. Oh my God actually care about these characters. I think I ended up to who and obviously I've been watching it ever since. So yeah, that was when I realized I'm not just watching this because you know, know know someone who likes it. I'm watching this because I really enjoy it. So I thought you were going to say just that it's like oh, this is the moment that I knew that was was whipped cream. I think the moment knew knew that I was whipped is when she kept cheating on me and I kept taking her back so, you know and then hopefully back to Australia and then flew back because she missed me so, you know, I lived I was I was in my early twenties first first real world J. Cruella Deville, pretty much. Oh, well, that's kind of Maintenance. I've got dark wage. I don't I don't like people not just women men. don't don't like people who do that. So she had guys like falling over all the time. So it doesn't matter if if you could have shit personality and to be fair I was very immature still but I was very immature was my first relationship but still, you know, when you're having problems in a relationship, should should talk it out. Anyway. Anyway, that's the end of the relationship podcast. It'll be interesting to see whether watching the next series with Martha m. Enjoy it more the way I have with rose because I've got little little bit more distance from it'd be interesting see see if you not really because I just see I just finished them office areas with didn't didn't and I don't like it. mean mean anymore. What is the boy think he's loving it. He's completely into ducked her. It's got some of my favorite episodes in it like human nature. Yeah telling everybody that everybody know not that human your mom's favorite new band. All right, who's seen? I hate Suzie with Billie Piper. No new TV series. Mom hates Uzi. It is her acting is amazing. She Susie. Yeah, she's Susie. It's cringy. But in such a fun way, she plays an ex sort of pop star who was a pop star when she was young. So and she's one of the co-producers so some of it would be Oto Kota bye-bye graphic on some isn't but you just what she just woke. Got spirals from disaster to disaster. Billie Piper is amazing. And anyway, that's it. Thank you much much for joining us Tyler. Oh, thank you for having me people would like to find you somewhere where I could catch you. I am am very rarely on social media, but if you want be be occasionally surprised I can go to Taylor was comedian on Instagram or Ted what's on Facebook and anything else. I also have a podcast Chris not in Pakistan DPW bring to the show, which is called binge minute basically go through a we go through movie movie one thing at a time and review each minute. We just finished season one, which was the classic 2009 sci-fi film. Each episode is 15 minutes long. So it's highly bingeable. Is it is it hard by the end to remember what happened in the beginning so much has happened. Yeah and cleaning stuff that didn't actually really happen. You just made it again. again. I love I love song. Final episode where you like you re watch the whole movie as a movie and you're oh oh my God, it goes. So quick minute by minute. It seems to drag on and then you went off like has this movie always been at three times the speed while but if you watch a 94 minute movie 94 minutes at time. time. Yeah. It's a trip man. Yeah. I've been even select without sorry. I'm behind in even in to us, but I love I love that. It's kind just just an excuse for two two of you just to talk about like crazy things have have happened in your life. So some episodes will just be 75% Chris Martin talking about a machine that was cursed at him in Italian. Yes, there is movie analysis and it is yeah. Oh yeah. Oh, yeah, they just bulshit and it's really interesting the way that you try predict predict what's happening and as someone who's the the movie being like Oh, that's true. Oh, that's not true. That's true. So even if you've seen the movie, if you haven't seen the movie, please check it out. The last part is when people say I'm listening a a podcast. "Going to kick things off with one of my favorite people at my let. This episode is one of my all time, favorites and man. He just delivered Jim, after Jim Jim and we're GONNA. Put all the full episodes for you in the show notes, and you're definitely GONNA WANNA. Listen or re listen to this episode with Ed my lead. Ed My let is one of the leading voices in personal development today, and he's actually been in the field for me years behind the scenes, and now he's really kind of emerged as one of the top voices and I'll tell you right now. First hand you know spending time with him talking with him, you know having conversations texting and keeping up with each other. He's just a good person. You know so often. We have that kind of scrooge mcduck mentality, Cruella Deville mentality about people who've accumulated success their selfish that they're bad people like we get this faulty program. Of course we know harsh this, not always the case, but he somebody ruined through who is devoted his life to sharing everything. He knows that help people to achieve the same levels. Levels of success that he has, and he lives a code of gratitude. He understands that wealth isn't just financial. It's also with your health is also with relationships as also with having his purpose in this y really really love and my lead, and in clips going to be talking about where confidence actually comes from and the power of identity. Let's.

"Prior prior to that where Faye Dunaway 's character Joan Crawford Finds Christina in front of the Mirror Front of triage. Right that it's chase. Would you describe that scene gene. No yeah she is holding up a home Christina Christina as if it's an award she's just one and it's actually not at all insulting her mother. It's like oh I'd like to thank my fans and this is such a lovely night as any kid would pretending they've won an award and her mom walks in and this this is once again kind of like talking about the precursor to the wire hangers scene. Where her Mama just won an Oscar? This is right. After her mom had just found out that she was cast in the movie that would eventually as leader to win the Oscar. So two instances where there's actually good news and at least for the narrative of the movie and after getting the News Joan Crawford goes into her bedroom sees Christina in front of the Mirror accepting her award and she's got product in her hair setting lotion and Joan Crawford takes this as an insult. Her daughters not doing make. I believe her daughters making fun of her. And that's exactly what she says to her you making fun of me And then proceeds to notice that they're setting lotion in her hair and takes a pair of scissors and without there being any blood rather violently chops all their daughter's hair off and to me. That scene as explanation. Why would how else would this little girl act going foray seeing perfectly highlights? Tanner your question. Why I think this movie is a worthy topic for this podcast? Everyone just assumes that Mommy dearest is a bad movie and for all intents and purposes it is that scene poorly edited her hair changes length throughout if you notice when she's cutting it sometimes. It's already short. I'm GonNa Guess People were afraid to fix fix anything on Faye dunaway. Bite their hands right however those two actresses are great and that scene and that is why I am a champion of the movie. Not Everything about that movie is horrible. I think that her performance especially Faye dunaway's is genius. I think it's just any work of art. Sometimes it's better when it's not perfect because you I don't know you just see it for the vulnerable state that it's in and you just see against maybe the Shortcomings you see the the things they did work out so well and then you love it more than if it's quote unquote perfect movie. Well if you would ask me if I'd Rather Watch What won best picture most most recently or something in the spotlight won best picture several years ago? If you would ask me would you rather watch spotlight. Mommy dearest ten times out of ten. We'll tell you would rather watch mommy. Lami Dearest Green Book. I would rather watch both mommy. Dearest and spotlight at the same time while the drought each other than ever watch green book again won best picture wonder. I forgot ridiculous but that moonlight. Because that's a good film. No I love that I would rather. Yeah I I see I fadeaway side I liked lowland but to yeah we see. We don't have time to talk about this. But I I do feel like la La land has gotten all kind of defend and health wise. I TRY TO WATCH LA LA land like being like I love musicals. Why can't I watch it and I just twice stop and be like I'm walking out okay? So part of it for me. Is Emma Stone other than that movie where she played an Asian Grocer never saw Aloha. Yeah I never saw it other than that just playing. I would see her in any quarter Giannis in that movie. I think spend play Cruella Deville but enough about where that coat. Sorry what were we in kind of a roundabout way of answering your question of why I think the movie is fitting for this podcast and then agreeing that Faye dunaway really making. You want to discuss it. I mean that's Camilli amazing that we've already spent so much time just talking about like what we'd like and don't like about this film it is like a very moshe piece. You really can't take your eyes off. Oh fading away when she's Onscreen. which a lot of times in this age of Adhd your mind is operating in that level? You get distracted you. You cannot get the shocking Washington this film all her faces like a special effect. It's very compelling to look at everything that she's doing you know she's got these. He's drawn on eyebrows. That are arched very high. So true to Joan Crawford. Yeah it must've been I just uncanny which people were saying right unsaid. The apple the did were old enough to have worked with Joan Crawford. The said the moment Faye dunaway stepped on the said the first time there were blown away and fell. Paul Dan Kenny. Feeling Joan them. And that's the only flattering thing that they will admit about Faye dunaway but it is true. They will say she was truly. She was stopping us by her spirits. And what's interesting hosting is in nineteen sixty nine. They had interviewed Joan Crawford and she was bemoaning like how actresses were then compared to in the forties and she was like of all the actresses of today the only one has got what it takes Faye dunaway. And that's probably the moment Faye dunaway. Thought I need to play Joan Crawford one thing oh I yeah I mean Faye dunaway did did of course mentioned that in her autobiography Faye Dunaway even talked about feeling possess John Crawford right. She would go home. Yeah alone and feel I like the spirit of Joan Crawford was there with her which sounds truly terrifying. Terrifying sounds very method and sounds very admirable bold. Somebody who's so committed to the character that they're embody like again. I don't know it's just one of those things like look if this would gets her to the place of being phenomenal actress then you know and she is phenomenal and there are movies where she is definitely over the top. I don't think she is over the top and playing the woman who was over the top to do what she did in Chinatown and especially in network with pat each skis like brilliant but very wordy script and not just any actor can make that that fascinating so it is a shame that often her behavior eclipses. They're just incredible talent. Especially when like this is stuff that male actors do a hall remind you know you hear about all these methods actors who like well if I can jared Leto on suicide squad squad. Sending like use condoms to co-stars bit was adds his process. Yeah no joker twenty thirteen fourteen eighteen. This was not that long ago but I guess right before me to happen if I asked so just to get through the plot. We we know at this point. The relationship is very strained between this young girl and her adoptive mother. And I have to mention that. There's speculation right that Joan Crawford takes on these children because she wants to promote herself Right come back because it's kind of like left a villain. It one thing that I think is interesting about this movie. Is that because it is not that well edited. It does play like a series of vignettes into this woman's life. Some of them thread Ed together. Well like at the beginning there. Is this whole discussion about why she wants children. And especially this gift. As`some of the the adoption agency over. Why someone who is such a legend and you know single which at the time was a much bigger deal than it is now and a drinker and smoker? So you can't. I can't help but wonder if she's driven by the star machine and seeing other women of her age have husbands and children and families and they've settled from being an actress. I retiring to be a mother and it's something she physically couldn't have so I think part of it is as a control freak. Someone told her she couldn't and that was I think all the initiation nation she needed and then part of it too. I think that she wanted to keep staying relevant. And that's what other women her age we're doing and she wanted to do the same thing since acting by that point well she was still making good movies. Around the time she adopted Christina but shortly thereafter it was the Nutty bitty stuff and the film. The script really makes the point of showing how committed cheesiest inhabiting right with the very first sequence this montage up before we even see her face montages and I don't like the beginning but this one. It's it's very telling about what this character is doing. What she's so committed to her profession the she wakes up at four? Am she gets out of bed. She immediately gets her. Ice Water will just just a ball of ice right with cold water ready to go because hey this is how you take care of you face in folding water in the sink right and you also also take a brush that like I normally see for shoes shoot like start rubbing your face with it and I'm like don't do it. This is GonNa this. You'RE GONNA rub your face off but that's how you stay looking good and that is how Joan Crawford was. I believe until her dying day that whole opening. That's probably like three minute opening montage. Is You where you don't actually see Faye dunaway's face you're just seeing her. Do all of these things going through morning routine. And then she gets the set and she turns around and it's it's huge. It's very present right. No wonder one of the I guess. Descriptions of what this film is by Critics was that she like eats up the entire scene including all co-stars setting and everything else she just eats it up because she's so much bigger presence than anybody else and what's interesting to note as a side note and another defense of the movie not so much in the vein of this with the podcast discussing but but there are people who are on record saying she was actually kind to her cast mates on the set like the little girl. After the night they had to film that awful scene she bought her like a really nice watch and said you know. I know you know this but this is acting and I think very highly of you. The woman who played her made ru Tanya alda played caroline wrote a fairly in my opinion petty book with the intent of being like look how awful Faye dunaway was at every single story that she tells Camila straight this is Faye agreed to switch the time of their shooting. That scene so Rutan Yaldo could go be with their family. It's like wow. Isn't she awful. And so it's like well it. It sounds like she was actually quite kind to you so it sounds like she was able to separate the identity between herself and Joan Crawford enough to be fairly human to the people she worked with. What betrayal because Caroline is with Joan Crawford until the end yeah talk about one of the film's less compelling performances? Oh oh I thought. She thought she and the daughter as an adult were just awful. Well I have so much to have so much to argue with you about because I enjoy this film. But I'm not here to talk about spoiler spoiler alert but I will tell you a quick story that my boyfriend told me about Faye dunaway that he had experienced her personally he was a telluride right editor film festival a few years back. So I'm guessing like ten probably maybe more years ago and there was a performance by secure Hussein. They mazing musician that it was very small venue and so my boyfriend Jay went to secure Hussein. WHO's a big fan off? And he said next to Fay dunaway then. There was another person in the audience. Member came in so this excellent hippie girl and she was like maybe hind drugs. Maybe she was just the kind of like thought she is at a grateful dead concert so inland though it was Mary like chamber music. Almost like vibe inside the small place with secure Hussein play a I guess she was sitting like on the other side of fade away and this was on the other side but she. This lady started like dancing like she started like making this like arm movements and being very distracting and fade away like studied turning to J. and B. Like her is like pointing at this girl..

Commence with the waterworks. She could spray acid. Boylan oil for the. Yeah. What martin? She loves killing fetuses, man. She's like the Cruella DeVille of abortion. Like, you almost think that she's about to make a coat out of fetuses. She loves she loves men, she she loves giving abortions when she moments where she's like like this pitcher rated she's looking over dead fetuses, and they got this ominous lighting on her. They don't have our like picking them up and cracking them in a second. Liquids? Yeah. Well, that would be. But she just looks over there and just playing with them. I mean, really is like Cronenburg's it's like come here. I want to show you something. It's nothing but dead tissue. They feel nothing. She is like a Bill in this scene. She because a reason why. Abigail gets promoted to the position issues in she. She she's even she's got a hardline back coming out. Again. I want to show you something and Abigail goes in looks at these death fetuses, and she says, you know, something I noticed something about you. You came in here. Unlike every other person who has cast is upon this. You didn't cry. Yeah. For you'll be perfect. Most. He's on sale that but his imply. It's crazy. And she might even gets even more and say that the Trump prophecy wasn't saying no, this is insane. Okay. I just changed my mind. This is bucking nuts. There's there's a moment in the she loves abortion so much. He loves killing babies so much that when Abigail comes in who's happily married right now and can't wait to tell people that she's pregnant she goes until Cheryl, and Cheryl, here's the news and cheryl's. She tells Cheryl that cheryl's like we can take care of that. No, no, she's in shell tries to actually like like traffic validate feelings she's like if we don't take care of this. "Weird stuff daring it. Sometimes. I think we need to have a huddle on how you you label all of these things like app world or tech tech pages could been depths of the interwebs. Oh, definitely could have depth of the interwebs. But I think it's weird. There's a new app that lets dog lovers swipe right for your perfect pet match. It's called get pets and the app was launched last month. And it's getting hundreds of new users daily and already has made some mass matches. And they don't think that's weird. Delightful, but we we have different perspectives. I there's a lot of pets. This is what the internet's perfect for. Right. It's for aggregating the pets in need. So there's there's dogs that need to be adopted and connecting them with individuals who want to adopt the pets. But maybe don't have the time to find the dog they really want. And so, you know, it's something I've talked about once or twice on the show. But I think is a really interesting topic to kind of jump into. Here's is choice overload. You know, individuals one of the things that stops them from buying something is too much choice. And so by providing an individual kind of a Tinder like experience and for older listeners, Tinder works is it's not dogs. It's humans who are interested in dating you, and you either swipe right swipe left. Now, the negative thing about Tinder is no matter how much you swipe, right? If you're a guy, you never get a match or maybe that's just me. And I'm really bad at Tinder. But on this app. It's way better because whenever you swipe, right? It just puts that dog into your sorted list of dogs, you'd be interested in and then when you go to the pound to to go adopt a dog, then then they'll just have the dog ready. And so this app comes out of Lithuania gives you this global sense of tack. And it's and it's been really successful. I think it's something that we should totally bring here in the United States for those of us who who want to adopt dogs. I mean, what do you think listeners one eight hundred four six five eight seven seventy would you swipe right on on your furry friends there? Do you have any pets? Yeah. I have two cats. Oh, really? Okay. We're both cats at. Yeah. My parents have a dog. Okay. I mean, would you swipe right? If you're looking for a dog, would that be something you and your wife, would you? Or would you just go right to the humane society have like a particular breed that you like we'll know if you have a particular beat breed you just by. Yeah. That's what I mean. If you can find it at the at the shelter might as well like my yellow lab that my parents have as a rescue dog. And this brings me a thought, you know, Cossio Cortez. She's a socialist. Do you think she's ever going to get involved in like dogs and cats, and and like a true socialist believes that you don't get to pick your animal, but everyone needs to have one? And it doesn't matter whether you're allergic or not this is about the equality of it. Everyone should be burdened by pet. If you and I are Darren that's what I think. It's I think it's rude. If a cost you Cortez doesn't have a pet. That's unequal. You know, Mike Pence has a bunny named Marlin bundler. I still can't get over how good that bunny Nemeth. It's it's really quite quite delightful. So there's that you can now swipe right on your friend Darren what's the next section of the front page politics politics. Hey, look, oh, Cossio Cortez. She's she's doing stuff. She's she's in action. This is something we talked about a little bit yesterday with the state of the union happening. Tuesday night is I'm really kind of discombobulated how negative the Democrats were about that state of the union how dastardly and despicable and awful and co worship and. Mean and cruel end. And just like, oh my goodness. It was like Cruella DeVille gave the gave the state of the union and instead of talking about paid family leave and cheaper drugs and the biggest infrastructure investment in the world. She was talking about an app where you swipe right? And then they kill the dog. That's that's bad. That's kind of the equivalent of how they're treating Trump after. So this is Chuck Schumer's audio a minute of chis- negatively. We'll will let it roll for as long as we can tolerate it. Well, I would say there's very little nice to say about it in the it's.

It's layers that happens all the time. That's really funny. So I keep looking in the monitor I feel like I'm a mess today. I just had no time to prop had to get in late because big government. Let me tell you why. Because you have to have a license to get married, which is ridiculous. And you can only go get the license during business hours, and you both have to be there, and you both have to show your ID. And so I apologize. I know every time I wear my hair like this. "It was just like these fleshless like strips of of just like yearning organic material or material that used to be organic. And I like this this year. It's like, blah like it. It went from being like a totally kind of almost Goth White House to being like a metal ass Christmas. I do think what's happening is that we're realizing that the creative people in the world are Democrats and. You know, like, let's go correspondents dinner this year. No, comedian, you know. Yeah. This would who would let this happen. You know, like, I there's not interior decorators who would allow this. I think they're they're the only interior decorators. They could find do the White House just have bad taste. Yeah. I mean, it's like evident in the graphic design to whenever you see any sort of the classic design is horrible. Oh, it's bad fan so bad and also not I'm not going to like call anybody out specifically. But every once in a while, I'll see a conservative woman, and I'm like all the makeup artist doesn't like you at all really like you at all you could just tell them like the artist is like, oh, like maybe somebody who's who's friends with a bunch of people who are LGBTQ or who is themselves a member of that community or is our Tissot or as had their lives personally impacted by things that there that are about to come out of their mouth. There's sort of like. All right. Here's my passive aggressive form of resistance, giving you streaky blush. Yeah. Giving you I'm giving you like ten pm makeup at two pm, and those people may have been mean to the makeup artist to. Yeah. And if you ever see someone be mean to a hair and makeup person don't trust that person. Don't give them anything. Don't give them food. Don't ask them to watch child. Those are bad people that cannot be trusted who's mean to their makeup artists. I've never an armed heap. -als seaway. There are people I have seen them, and it is horrible. And guess what? They look like shit to Milania was mean to her interior designer. No, I on watching that. Because I did watch the video. I had this like a Piff knee of like, oh my God. I forgot they lived there truly. I was like, whoa. Wow. I forgot this like she's just traipsing around in a very strange coat. No. I don't think she was mean to them. I think it's just this is you know, when they go out to do let's find an interior decorator. There were two and one was blind one was this person. And they were like, well, I guess we got to pick this person. I see it as like she's to me. She's like this Mary Shelley like kind of gothic character like Cruella DeVille like the next thing. I see for the next Christmas is like the dumb mission on the floor. I see her as you know, this like really comical kind of Queen. I dunno. So. Yeah. So maybe it was mean, maybe that's just your tasty. Also had a gold toilet as well. So it's true. She was eating diamonds in that one photo. She's a little God. A little goddamn doesn't I serve regular Christmas. Trees, actually, look fine. It's like pretty hard to mess up of Christmas trade is really bad but Christmas tree that one where it's which I think is like whoever. Is at the White House. They're like, this is what we have to you know, they're like, this is the standard. It'll just be a Christmas rate with lights and ornaments. And then she put me best on it. And they're like, listen, that's not what we discussed. But then when she has her one little hallway she's allowed to do. Yeah. It does look like the shining..

"That's why I was wondering what the timing of. That was I also think it was very trendy around this time. I mean, I guess it goes all the way back to hook. But it became very trendy to recast fairytale villains as the central figure on Broadway wicked became a big thing. And it was all about looking at the wicked witch of the west being more sympathetic than Dorothy and Shrek kind of had a lot to do. With thinking differently about fairy tales malefic, they're even working on a Cruella DeVille movie right now, I just think that's kind of where we're at. And so that is a fresh take. Well, what does it mean for the villain that they have to play a role that they don't want to that? They have to always be the bad guy when they have a glee hard of John C Reilly that gives you some dramatic weight to play with and to me. This just seems like the ultimate Disney story. The fact that the worked so hard to get to what I feel every Disney movie has was dumb founding to me because when I watched the movie for this review before doing any of the bonus features. So I've seen the movie twice. And I'm watching it. And I'm like here we go. It's the story of the outcast learning. Self acceptance and learning friends, you know, what bugs me about this movie. And it really bugs me Felix is too nice. I think Felix should really be a bit of a nemesis. I would picture him as basically the winkle vibe from the social network is who feel. Should be the fact that Felix is such a nice guy, and everybody's nice. The only bad person we have turns out to be the king of candy land that everybody's just going to get along in the end it just felt so wretchedly saccharin, and I would like to see I think Pixar would bring a more nuance to these Garrick tres instead of everybody's good. But we just need to kind of come to terms with who we are. Well, argue that picks are played the same formula. I would argue the nuance idea is to have no villains to say that. There are good people and bad people is unknown. St-? What they've always done is pit Woody and buzz together or whatever the monsters are together. I mean, you have odd ball couples and they work out their problems, but nobody is defined as bad. I think that they were definitely looking at buzz and Woody and thanking Ralph and Felix will be the movie, and then they. Ended up finding that the movie itself didn't leave them together until the end and add to that. You know, you say that the only bad guy turns out to be turbo. But he had that entire land of sugar rush. Brainwashed. And they all treated vanilla p as if she was a bad person. So you had to hold land of bad people, essentially. So I think having Felix be a little bit on the nasty side just to have a little bit of contention between him and Ralph would be kind of overdoing it by the time. They get to sugar Russia, and perhaps just the movie's called Reckitt Ralph vanilla p is a different issue that will get to have issues with that character and her plight overall. But when looking at Ralph whole thing, I'll say this. I like the entire first half hour this film a lot. I like seeing Ralph trying to make the people like him because again, it's so easy to make the rampage correlation, and what a better movie rampage would be if it was George the ape trying to make friends with. A buxom lady in the window. Instead of that movie. We reviewed earlier this year just love that concept of this huge destructive thing that's how I'm programmed..

I'm going to a Bo God, am I if I say, this is gonna sound so homophobic. Not liking lady Gaga make me a homophobe. Yes. Yes. I'm going to God. Okay. So I guess I would have to bone Christine Aguilera. I you know, and for the long con I would bench Britney Spears. And I would I'm sorry. I'd have to block lady Gaga. Oh, we're playing that number. So here's the thing. I also have to bone Christina Aguilera. But I am kind of surprisingly lady Gaga, STAN. Like, I love her music. But her as a person just fills me with so much joy. She said so many things that have inspired me in years past. I just like I got to stand for and I'm sorry. I'm gonna block Britney Spears. Like, I didn't grow up on Britney Spears. She didn't raise me like, I'm just not. I'm not here. This is a man I'm very unpopular. Yeah. You become dark matter. Her ass. And I say that with love I'm I'm down for that ride. I'm also going to I'm going to bench Cardi because she's just going to be around for a bit in. I'd have to block belly. I guess. Okay. Fair fair, fair one more tough one, actually, these are all tough. But Mariah Carey beyond say, oh my God. Riana? Oh my God. Oh my God. Totally. "How do you shift your focus from one. In person when you're used to getting it all the time, anytime you want from multiples, will I miss things about being a free woman, like being able to flirt with anyone I want when I go out, please help Imus loot and I don't know how to not be all my love a day one Cruella DeVille. That's right. And it's loot to boot. I would never call her sloughed. I was just reading that Email. Of course, I would never Sloot sham anybody either. It's for me not to Slough Slough shame, but I had to read it as as scripted. So you empathize with their dilemma. Right? Especially as a twenty two year old. Yeah. When you're twenty two and you can get it all the time, it is fun. But at the same time you can't lie to your heart. So if she's catching feelings, I don't think it's bad to see them through. It's only bad to not listen to your heart. Yeah, she's like this guy is clinging needy, and I feel like I wanna take care of him even though I wanna see other people, but I feel too bad telling him, yeah, then it's like no, go out and like fuck as many people as you want, but she's like accidents like somebody. That's okay somebody. Yeah, you can like somebody, but I fear that she'll want her cake and eat it too. She'll want the relationship and the flirting, she'll she'll never wanna stop flirting with people and. Sometimes that flirting comes into other things, and then it's like, oh, how do I have a relationship and the flirting sexy, happy time flirting? I think flirting is just like some people's nature. It's my nature. I still flirt with people. Yeah, I can't even help myself. I'm floating with right now. You coy definitely. Talking about other giggle, funny fun. How'd you like me to tickle your own off me? Oh, oh. It's legal. Yeah, I think it's, I think it's okay to like somebody's. You can like it's just you can see where it goes and you don't have to write it off before hand because you don't trust yourself to be a good girlfriend. Yeah, you're allowed to see if your girlfriend and that's fine too. And if you decide that you're not, then you can break up with somebody but don't have it both ways yet a lot of people like self sabotage before they see what they're made of, you know, why do they do that? I don't know. Maybe because it might be because they don't trust themselves because they're insecure or maybe maybe it's because they actually do know themselves really well, everybody's so different eight that about if they were all just the same everyone would get along with, and then we wouldn't have an advice show because we would have given one episode of advice and everybody would kind of get it. It'd be cool. It's a utopian future six billion people, but they're all the same. That's utopian to you because you are a robot. Yeah, that's right. And everyone would, I guess, be made in my image loops. So utopian future where your God and you have everybody under your control. And we're just. It's fine because everyone's a twin and everyone's a clone in everyone's alone and everyone's a win that actually does sound pretty solid, really future were I don't care if you're God is long as I'm getting sucked in daily. Well, it wouldn't be you. It would be your brain in my body. It would be like that last page in that WALDO book where everyone's WALDO, and he's the one without the shoe. So you're heaven. Your ideal future is where your God, everyone looks like you. They're all fucking. When you say like not even like you fucking a lot of people know you fucking and sucking a lot of yourself, but everybody's still them. Everyone would be sort of a gay version of me, which I think is the perfect person because you got my looks my attitude, but then your little bit gay. And you're fucking come in for. So you walk down the street and it's a lemon party over here, and it's a sixty nine on the side of the road.

"Of course, the education secretary now is Betsy DeVos who checked who's. Twitter? Yes, she has. She has armed security around. She may step into a public school later with with Eric prince, her brothers, mercenary army party. And when you have someone like that reminds me of when Ronald Reagan mistook his secretary of education for the elevator operator because just to give you a sense of how important education was to Reagan administration. But when when you have someone like Betsy DeVos who often said she had never been in a public school, technically, she was once in a public school which somehow her PR people decided to dig that up and start throwing people probably was better to leave it. Actually, it was never at a public school, but someone like that who is kind of clueless, billionaire with Cruella DeVille streak tour. That's easy to resist you. Oh, it's just simply Trump's, but Rama manual here, Jeremy. I just have to say his name, you don't even need to be a question. Rahm Emanuel Chicago schools, eve gonna win. You know, there's a lot of competition, I think, is a strong contender for lease qualified member of the Trump cabinet. I think that there's a strong all the Simone. Out here out here on Front Street. I'm making claims. I think that there's evidence to suggest that that's a feasible argument. I think that like so many other things that we've talked about, right? Our theme here in this is kind of emerging as Trump makes visible a through line that precedes him in his deeper than him and goes beyond him, which is what facilitates his ascent to power, right? And and what he actually makes easy as he almost makes it easy for some people to have plausible deniability to be able to say, look over there at that really bad guy, interna tension from a lot of the things that they've been doing for a long time. So Betsy DeVos is terrible. Yes, she is uniquely terrible perhaps, but actually many of her policies, the things she advocates are the culmination of a lot of policy that was very popular across the aisle for a long time including during the Obama administration and far before that right. And. You know her, her policies in her way of thinking about the schools are the the logical kind of zenith of idea that that goes much deeper, which is the idea of of a hate to say the word, but neoliberalism right is the neo-liberal idea that that our role is to choose schools in a marketplace that that it's not that we have rights education, but that we are to fight for education like customers and consumers that schools are to compete against each other that we are to incentivize competition and if you lose so what right, and so on and so forth. And then I'd is very popular among Democrats and Republicans, and it's popular because it ties into a myth of American American Takasaki and hyper individualism that is pervasive across our culture. Right? And so and what that myth permits permits to remember that education is to quote the bible, it's about the least of these, right? It's about every kid. It's not just about kids. Parents wanna fill out a lottery to maybe get into a good school or parents whose kids whose parents did the research or kisses. Parents had the money to move into a certain school district. It's supposed to be about every kid right kid whose parents are struggling with addiction kids who are wards of the state. Kids who are poor are also supposed to have a great education, and that's not supposed to be like shopping for cereal in the serial where you look at the box and see. You know..
