I didn't even see california california's in the near the top. I believe florida the real estate. That is the least data really. We break the mold of by mid west influence. We would have been more dead danner not at all. It's the lowest followed by hawaii mississippi west virginia in utah. I didn't bother to. I don't see california's gonna be somewhere in the middle because not the top ten or the bottom ten. So they're trying to kill off dads out there. That's why they it. Just didn't put him on the list cheese but i guess i don't know why i would think florida would have been way up there but we don't count down here you break the mold because you don't wear new balance sneakers and is true and only because i think maybe at some point my life i had new balance sneakers but because the stereotype has happened it really is. It's considered like those are. Those are dad's shoes so really. Oh that's the old. That's what they're known for. Okay so it's funny that they've take ownership ownership of this. Well it's funny. Because i've always been like that like they're you know they're the the older chicks sneakers and offset. Now they're hip. And i think it was. Because what's that football player in his wife. Do the commercial. How long how long he did it saves sketchers workout ones like for for glass and the rates talking to wear those elevated goofy ones that howie long wears in the show doesn't goofy. My sneakers are no like marshall four feet off. The ground is already six four. I think they make them look that way. Because those are called the max cushion. I have all of those like do this. Look funny get some new sneakers or new qatar reston kiss you get well you have to do is get the black souls so you don't see how high the the lift is just say. I'm sorry those orthopedic shoes in no way you might as well just get the balance. If you're gonna wear those no least sketchers. Their hip they come in funny colors now and patterns and they're getting hips. They got a new. Ceo somewhere along the line. That's what happened. Sketches have come a long way. They sure have used to be really bad but they're they're not the workout you. The lightweight work trained cross training. Shoes good. I got running shoes by them. They barely used. But i do have running shoes. At least you got him. There's always that option to use one of these days or just put them on. Yeah they're still in the box There was an amazing thing that happened in the soccer world. You know that big tournament just happen. The euro tournament. Chris rinaldo cristiano. He did. This thing is a healthy soccer player right like like one of the premier athletes in the world sits down to his press conferences. Coke bottles a sponsor because get this outta here. Drink water in the coke stock amazing. I still can't really believe it. Is this an overestimation. That's insane no. Because the guy has i think you're looking at probably the european market overall this. It had nothing to do with the united states. I don't think this is how much influence rinaldo as we got that more and florida to the rescue for the southern border states. We'll tell you why that is coming up next these south florida morning. "Today. We've got to heen trips. Daba with us who is co founder and ceo of base ten. Welcome to him. Hi thank you. Thanks for having me. Cristiano yeah it was great. Meet you. We had a chat last week and i was learning a little bit about some of the things that you're doing and had to get you on the show right away so really excited to hear about that stuff but before we dive into all that could you just give us a little bit of info about your background. How you got into doing what you're doing now so my backroom actually electrical engineering electrical engineering college in optical h. I decided that the right thing to do was to go work in finance in new york for for a couple years it had nothing to do. That's the rumor and academia that i heard was like you can sell your soul and go make a ton of money and finance not that you have to sell your soul to go into finance to work on the fund problem of privatizing toll roads There you go fascinating in. Its own way but after a couple of years of it. I decided that wasn't for me. And i decided to go back to engineering so actually moved to boston from new york to work at a weird academic lab at beth israel medical center which is part of harvard medical school. Where the professor who had one apprise full coming up with a noninvasive way of tracking the progression of ls and he'll spin off. Stop as part of that. That was very data driven. Like two thousand and eleven. And i didn't know anything. That machine learning stats. Well you know. I've done a bunch of electrical engineering and information signal processing in college. I could probably convince him. Just take on. You know boston suppler. We'd breed in that. You know the kind of very research focused laura grant and frankly to quite cheap. Serbia vs. Portugal: Ronaldo Robbed Of Game-Winner

"Kick things off by focusing on serbia's two two draw against portugal political tuna at halftime. So getting back to two two but the big talking point cray was late f- from cristiano renaldo and doubts whether or not a date cross the line. It wasn't given echo furious. Serbia had just ten men with half sent off but really it was neither here nor there. A minute left. And the extra time as you said long diagonal ball. Over the top of the defendant. The at the angle was not keeper. Really pulled decision to komo judger and rinaldo from manado really. Not a language said took it for time. Lick good ball was traveling over the line. In one of the seven defenders. Go back to hook it. No at dead on the face of a look over up just in a couple of sales on twitter and when is twitter ever wrong just in unless the angles are wrong from the pictures at the whole ball was probably over and of course. You've got goal. Line technology el al ticket to melanie as the ball. Hovering over the light will not be given for deadlock just managed to meander over but cost. Don't have this technology and we're talking about world cup. Qualifiers here in the technology has been around for a good couple of years. Qualcomms incoming CEO on what he really thinks about Apples M1 Macs

"Welcome cristiano. Thanks for joining us on the podcast today. Very happy to be here. Obviously you had some big personal news. You renamed the new. Ceo starting to stummer congrats on that wall. Thank you so much. Incredible privilege for me to be named seal. I'm very honored butter. Yeah we'd love to hear a little bit about What are your first priorities. Going to be as the incoming ceo. Weren't you begin. A lot of people. Ask me this question. Would i like about about this transition. We're doing a qualcomm. This is a story of continuity and it's about keeping qualcomm. You know technology. I company company continue to lead the pace of innovation but having said that We have been doing over the past few years really transforming the company into beyond mobile in oh always had a very strong in mobile business our core business also the licensing business but we started to grow into automotive starting to grow into analog with our ephron sorta grow into the beginning of that so the priorities will be continued to execute on this incredible opportunity. We have ahead of us. Which is five g which is also making telecommunications or communications in general no longer unique to the mobile space but across every other industry and really capitalized on that opportunity. Cristiano to that as you take on this role what are some of the biggest challenges facing qualcomm. Wh what keeps you up at night. The number one challenge we always said in. Our businesses is very unique. We have to reinvent ourselves every year. We have to win the flagship. You know over and over again every year so you know i think all of us qualcomm. It's about making sure hours was focused in driving technology roadmap to become complacent continued to drive the roma ford. And you know right now. If asked me what keeps me up at night right now is supply chain grads as having the semiconductor industry. I think it's the result of a lot of success in general about an acceleration of digital transformation across a number of industries. But this is causing a lot of stress as the supply ching was not prepared to deal with the growth. And but you know we're navigating a very happy to the position we have right now. When is the supply chain issue going to end like. Is this something that gets resolved. Pretty quickly or is it something. That's going to take a long time until like samsung and tsmc. Some of these other companies can build mark factories. No look if will get better at the end of this year we have line of sight and even our scale We're very fortunate very well position. And we have line of sight of this going to get result with entity or but you're correct Part of solving this problem is to a celebrates didn't build out more capacity and that is about building buildings in new clean rooms in new equipment. The way to think about that shara is When depend hits There was an assumption made in general across the industry that that the capacity for semiconductor. You know for if especially if there will be recession given pandemic mike you know was it was good in the reality. What we saw was the opposite the enterprise. Transformation of the home people buy new computers by new printers. New wi fi systems upgrading broadband companies had to connect their assets. So we saw celebration of. I'm not in digital transformation across the board Paper money disappear. That's people started digitize. You know everything payments Even a small business and we always said the mobile has been very resilient five g we said Into very beginning we state our five g numbers even the beginning of the pandemic said. If i've transition is still going it's important. We ended the year the high end so all those things happen for a capacity that was not put in play for growth. And i think we're just seeing you know the effects of of demand in supply. But the manda will catch up with Supply supplier vice versa towards the end of this calendar year one area. I'm really interested to hear about is the pc market You know obviously this is an area that had tons of demands over the past year for laptops and other devices report working from home call comes made a big push in putting your mobile chips in. pc's We saw apple. Come out with. Its m one powered max which proved to be extremely popular How is demand for those m one devices. Impacted your focus on pc chips. Hasn't your computers more and demands like what sort of impact has the m one had on akam pc. This days is one of my favorite topics. Conversations finger for discussion look rented and talk about the specific demand. For 'em one. This is a great opportunity to talk about the trend so the pc was being transformed and we always believe welcome that you know. They'll be conversions between mobile nbc and mobile became the bigger platform. They're more smartphones. Abc's to develop. Our eco-system is driven on the mobile side. And we believe in that convergence. That's where we started. You know several years ago. I think more than four years ago with microsoft on this journey of windows on snapdragon in now recently with starting to see snapdragon on chrome os in chromebooks then the pandemic hits and would have been hit. It change certain things forever. And i am super excited about this because like if you're talking to me from a pc right now. And i'm sure you are you. And roger. b. C became a communicator device. And as people make phone calls they started make a teams called zoom. Zoom became a verb in many languages in c. now is connected became a communicator device. Camera become really important. I'll do a multimedia became important. You doing you take a break. Watch netflix the future. With five g connected disease are going gonna watch Not only video but gonna play stream games with ex cloud an amazon luna luna or google stadia and all of that and then on top of it people. That had a workstation are home. They don't have a workstation to have their laptop but using five on demand computing. You'll get access to any application that you can run on the cloud computing platform of the cloud so the pc's completely transformed in apple switching to a m one with an arm instruction set just validated at transformation. Start moving developer as fast paced. So we're more convinced an ever. Conversions is going to happen b. C's going to be a great opportunity for expansion on snapdragon and it's that's one of the first things i did after being announced to co elect was to do the acquisition of nubia s. We believe there's an opportunity for us to lead into cpu performance as well as we start to think about this complete transitions of pc to associate. So let me let me ask gonna fall on that. Because i think we might have a new but one thought on this question about apple versus talk about the long-term opportunity but were you frustrated by the fact that you have been pushing snapdragon power laptops for a couple years now. That have really gained a lot. Traction while attention than apple comes in with the san juan and one powered mac guy huge buzz postal raving about these things whereas the other snapdragon laptops will ask. We have not really gone. The best to reviews was some frustration. That did you get to go back to your team coverage thick how you do this. I'm just curious your thoughts. On the the the different reactions that though snapdragon lockups had versus those and one. Max no no not at all i. Here's how answer this question roger. We knew that we started this journey. And this journey about a windows for example which is being running on x eighty six. You know Forever when needed to introduce arm extraction sets to windows and we work with microsoft and we knew that we're still building this journey as an example for example In this summer we're gonna now. We're celebrating that you know that next latest update for microsoft windows which announced support a sixty four. Bit emulation on orm in wish starting to see the very first time the enterprise ice laptops. Hp just launch commercial. Enterprise laptop with into snapdragon. So we're at the beginning of the ramp in the way we see the apple lounge. It's a great tailwind. Because what apple did by lounging does not only validated that transition but you know moved developer ecosystem the difficulty that you have when you try to introduce a new instruction set on the pc and this is not new to to apple. I think they've been to those that. That transition twice if you look at their history and then maybe have tried in the past trying to pass the longtime ago with a windows rt and and that really only works. When you're no longer have a second class you know a platform is just the great windows. Experience in every application is gonna run in. You're going to be able to keep everything you had a windows. Any wedded new coming from mobile platform in in. We believe we're now getting to the end of this journey in what what apple did which really help brother ecosystem. Apps apple helps microsoft basically create the resolve within developer system to start doing arm native apps going forward so my answer to a question is super. Please we're super excited invalidates. You know that bats. And i think that's going to happen Not only within. You know the apple wicca system but within windows as well as google and no question when we announced a new via acquisition if you look a press release was incredible as a parade of everybody to mobile nbc segment including microsoft in google in the saint press releasing. This is great. You know so. We're excited about that. Yeah i wanted to dive a little bit more into nubia You know you guys pay. I think one point four billion for this company started by former apple engineers. Basically you know why. Why do you need nubia okay. I'll you know i'll tell you. The story in this has a lot to do with the conversation we just had about. How welcome see some. The industry transitions in how we execute on them. So the story is if you remember back in tweet g. into feature phone days and the blackberry we knew as we brought four g and mobile broadband to the seller space. The will have to become computer. She's gonna have a broadband so you need to have a computer in your hand to make use of the broadband and you're going to have a prosser we're gonna run of have an application and In we knew at that point that you didn't have a high-performance processor for battery powered device we could not get that from the arm roadmap to so so we basically put together a cpu team and we build if you remember. Scorpion was very first. Gigahertz clock. cpu in a battery powered device After that crate in debt drove the absolutely majori of the smartphone platform across. You know that time you know indoor it was growing to other oh s.'s. At the time and clearly it was squawking was the forefront really creating a mobile computing platform with our own. Cpu

SportQuake CEO on Launching EsportQuake, Getting Cristiano Ronaldo into Garena Free Fire

"Fire at freeflyer is actually one of my favorite games to focus out of the Esports gaming world right now due to its massive success primarily in Brazil, which also makes it a natural choice for football partnership home considering Brazil's love of football going back decades and this partnership centered around operation quota, which debuted in December and allowed players of free fire to play em as Cristiano Ronaldo the which is pretty cool deal Matt. How did that deal come about? What was the process like to bring one of the biggest names in the world? It's Sports in other entertainment and so like Liberty into a mobile Battle Royale greater freefire. Yeah, it was it was a really exciting project to work with the guys on Thursday from the whole kind of ideation and blueprint of the idea through to the the integration and Page the final execution both in terms of the in-game integration and and the marketing around the partnership I think life to start at the beginning. I set up sport Quake fifteen years ago, and I had a background in media and Thursdays soccer or football a depending on what we're calling it today, and I'd worked at a number of large advertising agencies and then moved into sport media page. With Sky Sports is the Premier League host broadcaster and then spent four years as commercial director at Tottenham Hotspur, which is one of the big three London football franchises wage. And when I set up sport quake in that time over the. I view is very much that we're in a world where they, you know Sports Media Tech and gaming increasingly are coming more and more together and we're seeing lots of really really interesting collaborations as a result of that and primarily right. It's about bringing these two different audiences together to create more impact and awareness. And so as you and and your listeners, no doubt will be aware or if not, you know free fire, which is owned. No, Karina which is part of the C group. We've worked with the c group to some time and we've worked with an e-commerce business they have which is very strong in Southeast Asia that offers a service similar to Amazon in those markets and see is actually the best performing Chef globally over the last twelve months. I think it's kind of five EXT over the last twelve months and is within that organization as the e-commerce business Sharpie. It has to read free flight and we're done some work with with Sharpie with Ronaldo in the fall of 2018 and it performed extraordinarily well and through that and then relationships with out throughout the group the guys that Greener thoughts. It could be something here to do something with him as well. But with their own sort of twist and that was really where the kind of Genesis of the idea came from to bring his audience and IP together with With Their audience and they obviously are the the number one game. If not, the number one guy one of the the very top games in the world. I mean, I think they have something like two hundred and fifty million downloads and a hundred million daily sneezes and and Ronaldo himself in terms of his social media following putting aside what he delivers through the TV platform around baseball games. He his social media follow me is is the biggest in the world or anyone right? So he's got over for bigger than the cardassians bigger than J Lo and a dog Oh force and he's got something like four hundred and fifty million plus followers. And so the idea was to bring these two giants together in Partnership. Absolutely. I pulled up the list of the most played mobile games by player count and you said four hundred fifty billion. That's exactly what grade at last reported. According wage is article it August 2019, but they were one of the most downloaded mobile games in the world in 2019 to your point and have driven just a pretty insane bout of viewership at my favorite example of just sort of how big Great a free-fire is is the Esports organization loud gave a down in Brazil. They launched in I think mid June 2018 and have crossed their one point seven billion views on their YouTube channel for comparison the FaZe Clan account, which has been running for ten years now and has numerous viral videos is that just over what billion views so two years loud gaming which focuses almost entirely a great a free fire has completely surpassed FaZe Clan's called Dead output. Yeah, really quickly that just kind of gives you an idea of hey, this is how popular this game is. And and I think really where their their their view was listen, and as the market leader, we really want to lead and and and set the agenda and you know clearly we have as you just said large choice, you know of of of of gamers in terms of you know, everything from Hardcore to get real Gamers, but there's something really exciting here that we think we could do to Delight. Both are are cool gaming fans while also bringing in even more mainstream players to the game and also just kind of Setting the agenda for the industry in terms of you know, this is how you do these collaborations. Absolutely, that's really crucial to and let's talk a little bit about that collaboration. We you mentioned how everything is coming together and free fire it off is actually representation of just how far Tech has advanced recently. What do you think about what mobile games were even four or five years ago to the point that there now seems reals which is the most server intensive Gabe that you could a badge it with 100. I'm not sure how many people actually drop into free-fire but you know, the typical number is 100 people dropping in at the same time as to do that auto mobile photo, but will technology and something that old he became possible in the last few years. And now you also see at the same time the ability to bring Cristiano Ronaldo into the game and that's something that you know, we've seen with games like FIFA in the past where they model people they model real athletes in those situations, but there's something different to bring home. Into a battle royale, I'd have the play a character this case kro. Do what had to happen on the back end to make this a reality. Was there any hesitation for any of the parties about potential free Christian although into a game like free fire? Yeah, so so obviously we've worked with Ronaldo and his people a number of times before the great relationship with them. And as I say, he had worked with us before with their e-commerce business shopping and so there was a relationship with the group home and we obviously talked him through the the opportunity. We Karina and very much felt that the worst some things to be aware of around the table game it was but that if we executed it in in the right way that it could be really amazing. And so, you know and and back to your point about the the quality of of tech and delivery nowadays, you know and and huge shout-out to to Garena, you know, they they they pull together this amazing kind of personality and character both conceptually and also graphically off and it was developed in conjunction with Cristiano and his team as well in terms of the various things that he could do and so forth and so, you know the exit the idea Asian execution that have been phenomenal when as you say that, you know, we wouldn't be able to do that if if take wasn't where it where it is where is today off? But yes, it's it's really it's really amazing and the thing that's so you

"Not the way he's not going to do his best especially because this is going to be historic performance for events he doesn't need stop for crystal and I think it's like it's very important to not just throw him in on the deep end like I thought he was against Roma. Really. quickly, we're talking about the midfield and and you suggest that amid midfield three and it seems like the biggest issue for on the first few months will be that he doesn't really have a set starting eleven I don't think he has a set formation yet because he said he can go from afford with three. We've seen just three so far but I'm wondering when. The Bala is coming back and he's playing I expect them to be in the starting eleven last season's city. Of Cristiano Renaldo there you really don't have room for all of these players and someone like physical Kiiza who's coming and who needs to play to continue growing the reason why he's gotten better now Fiorentina, is because starting almost every single game, he has more than thirty to start sleeping in the last few seasons and he's not going to get that event. This he just isn't unless you WANNA. Go with the team that looks like a video game team where you have crew in kids as. A two wing backs, but to me that doesn't seem realistic. What about Alexandra what about actual players that know how to defend in that position and it would be too unbalanced. So I'm just worried about keys and really quickly I want to know if this is a worry for you ending up like better not of their is on the where he's a rotational player where he doesn't have time to really grow as a player because he's still has areas in his game that he needs to improve. I agree with that. This is why that was a that was like I'm not sure if you to bring in all these wingers that was the message that it was necessary to bring the number nine This is the thing I would play with three in the back. If he really assault I would always prefer four. And then had but midfield before I wanted to diamond. So like Ultima Benjamin core and Weston mckennie for example, and the talk with diamond. I. Would Love Debate I wanted it to be a GIECO debate type of switching back and forth now could be more developed. They liked. To enact. And then have the two guys on the on their wings. And all the see over clueless ex-king Kizer with Benedetti I. Think the problem is also that he's a bus to play he's been paid in so many different positions. We've seen him as a fulsome benign on them out to gina the winger. As a midfielder or as pretty much everything, the fullback. So this is the problem is when the guy is trying to develop and moving from somewhere like Tina to the pressure cooker that is bent his asking him to always just fill auxiliary roles. One of the debatable on the pitch, it's very hard for you to hold your skill KS I hope will be paid always one position whether that's often no not. Enough Games to satisfy him and COOLEST ASCII in that position I just hope that they don't do what Tina did, which is played him as a way back game to utilize different roles because he's just so talented no don't do that nets perfected the playoff us let's take time which is why I used to like the way that Allegra. took his time introducing players because then they felt comfortable but Dibella is a mustard the moments but again if you have divided is their knees, Ramsey? Meena before we move on from talking about eventers, the Bostian of journalism that is L. Kidding veto in Spain. The room that said Koroma's could be on his way to you at some client apparently Ronaldo's side of word with him. More about this, maybe this could be a possibility in the future. I know. To Big Fan. I know. Hope of it. Today is big on their obsessively around most to be honest it's difficult to be just because. He is so good but he is tiny fatty five in much. So and it's really funny when the news came out and they keep adding new sent me a text message saying is trying to create the footballing version of Las Vegas which is a bunch of old guys trying to have more allows her. Don't seem that if you introduce round on to Brunner Shakily, like how old is this back kind but if in any way shape or form, they actually sort of distract from the growing of the necessary development is like de Morale and and. Bring and Ramos than.

As U.S. TikTok Ban Nears, Here's What We Know About a Deal

"TIKTOK could soon have a US media partner Bite dance the Chinese company that owns tick. Tock has chosen the American Tech Company. Oracle for the role. The move comes after the trump administration signed two executive orders aimed at forcing bite dance to sell Celtic tops US business over what the President says our national security concerns but the deal isn't done yet. It's still needs to be reviewed by the US government. Here's a president trump had to say yesterday no, I'm not prepared to sign off on anything I have to see the deal we need security especially after what we've seen with respect to China and what's going on we want security so I'll let you know. Cristiano Lima is the technology reporter at Politico and he talked to me earlier this week about what we need to know about the deal and its implications for user privacy. But I, I asked him to explain exactly what Oracle does their a one of the biggest tech companies out there. But certainly under the radar particularly in Washington. So they do a lot of cloud computing services they provide supply chain tools, data management certainly. Not, the things that most people associate with tact when they think of facebook social media companies, but definitely a major power player in the industry that provides a lot of indispensable services for lots of businesses. So they're not really a front facing technology company that we think about when we think about like what tech companies we know off the top of our heads, why would oracle be interested in buying or partnering Tiktok? That's what makes this such an interesting move for them. of tech companies that we've seen come under intense scrutiny in Washington has been the public facing ones that the facebooks the Google's the twitter's of the world, and this would be oracle really stepping into a potentially a lot of that scrutiny by taking a potential stake, a partnership bowl in Tiktok, which has faced its own political headwinds in Washington, not only on these national security issues that are getting so much attention now, but also along the lines of. Privacy and content moderation issues but it is a company that has seen its user base really expand this urine twenty twenty with a lot of people staying at home on their APPs rolling through the popular videos, and so it's certainly was a very appetizing company for a lot of its suitors were pursuing the company and it's a chance for Oracle to release order to step up its its profile.

First climate change, now COVID-19: Tips for managing the stress

"Of Choosing HOPE IN TIMES OF CRISIS. I'm NPR. Chief meteorologist Paul Hutler. Here with climate cast in the past few years many psychologists reports seeing patients with physical and emotional impacts from climate change. Now I had cove nineteen and it's easy for some of us to feel overwhelmed even hopeless at times but mental health professionals say hope can be an effective antidote to climate and Cova Nineteenth Stress Kristie white as a clinical psychologist practicing in the twin cities. Hi Christie welcome to climate cast. Hypothe- thank you for having me. You recently wrote about this for the nonprofit climate news website. Nci what kind of emotions are patients feeling with climate change? Many young people are expressing concern about whether to have children what their careers might even look like. I'll also talk with people who are experiencing a sense of loss so noticing. Some of the environmental changes in the places where they use to Spend time enjoy nature. Climate change is really a magnifying of health equity and health disparities. So those are some of the things that people of color are coming in expressing concerns about. Cristiano WANTS REMEMBER READING SOMEWHERE. That action cures fear can acting to face. Your climate fears have positive benefits. Yes absolutely I love that quote. A very common reaction to fear is avoidance. This is kind of a typical survival response but one of the problems with fat is does exacerbate our fear and our anxiety by teaching us at the only way we can cope with it is is running away from it one of the things that. I am frequently helping people with is developing some courage and the emotional stamina to face their fear so that they can turn something previously was may be experienced as a threat that needed to be avoided or escaped from into a challenge that is capable of being faced. I love that you talk about choosing hope. How can we do that and make it feel productive in real? So it's more than just a temporary attitude. One of the key pieces to being able to choose hope as I acknowledging and making space for those difficult emotional experiences viewing them as inherently valuable and useful data points that. Tell us that. There's something happening that matters to us. Kristie my job. I feel like at least I'm doing the work on climate. I think it helps me deal with my apprehensions. What other tools our advice? Can you give our listeners? For dealing with climate change or other emotions they might be feeling right now. Identify what is within your control acknowledged. What's within your control? And maybe even start thinking creatively about how you define. What's in your control? So for example if if you need to develop skills to manage something effectively think about how something might be able to come within your realm of control or influence by cultivating those skills or developing that resource capacity. Self-care is key which means getting good sleep getting physical activity eating healthy setting limits on the amount of information. That's coming in and being very self aware and adjusting your approach based on that awareness

An In-Depth Look At Coronavirus Around The World

"Hello and welcome to the news room for the BBC world service with me tonight jail could India become the next coronavirus hot spot that's the question preying on the minds of many in this nation of more than one billion people so far only about three hundred or so people have been found to have contracted the disease given how rapidly it spreads and India's widespread poverty overcrowding and unsanitary conditions in some places the fit is that the disease may already be circulating undetected so a few hours ago the government launched a curfew as part of its efforts to fight the pandemic will joining me from Daddy's all correspondence about Ahmed answered that tell us more about this curfew most intended to achieve well on Thursday in a televised address to the nation and the prime minister announced this unprecedented step in order to combat the menace of coronavirus there are several measures in place and creating social distancing and the prime minister came up with this idea that everybody will undoubtedly should stay indoors on Sunday from seven in the morning until nine in the evening at five PM they should all come out of their balconies are windows and stand there and ring bells and and and you know that in and in support of the emergency services staff so this is being seen as a step to prepare people for in case the virus spreads across the country then they should be ready for it and so far only about three hundred or so cases have been detected one of the numbers so low that is the question as you said everybody has been asking here in India as well and I have spoken to a health services people and a last week and they told me that the tests are being conducted only on people who have developed this and symptoms of colitis but they haven't been abroad and they have been abroad only those people are being tested and if you have a developed the sentence but you haven't been outside of India then you and your being turned away by the hospitals so this is designed the the the testing India have been designed to keep the number low as some people are saying so and what this could also be because the number of a death sentence he's only seventy in the country so they are now working on increasing the number two hundred and twenty so once the test centers include the number increases then the number of tests will also increase and people fear then the number will dramatically add rice in the country as we have just witnessed since Friday the number has really shocked and everything how western nations with advanced healthcare systems are struggling to deal with a corona virus outbreaks how well prepared is India to deal with this disease well the Indian state governments as well as the federal government have been trying their best we just heard last night that the northern state of Rajasthan has now announced a complete lockdown from today until the thirty first of March and the goal of the international flights have been canceled so measures are being taken but we have a very fat franchise has service there are fewer beds in you know this will definitely be a big strain if the number increases the strain and daisy Beth thank you very much for that no country has been hit harder by the crew corona virus outbreaks in Italy is already overtaking China as the nation with the most deaths until Saturday so another massive jump in casualties nearly eight hundred people dead in the space of just twenty four hours this despite president it nation wide lockdown of nearly two weeks and heroic efforts by medical staff struggling to deal with tens of thousands of infected people now with this latest desperate attempt to try to halt the epidemic the government has ordered that all nonessential businesses must close in a late night TV address prime minister Decepticon today said Italy was facing its most difficult crisis since the second World War it was a journey to recieve me several get my dear me slash cicconi Majedie over these difficult days way coming across in a seasonal use that data to leave an everlasting in a member of the citizens deaths represent a pain with these new every day these Dennis number those who we grieve also in the same position already will it give you a general social persona he's only he's with ministry gesture of on what more to be learned from is to contest television address well another day another grim record broken in a city seven hundred ninety three people died have died in twenty four hours which is not only the world's highest number in a day since the pandemic began but it's also up more than a quarter on Fridays number of fatalities these figures are alarming to say the least on average one current of ours patient is dying in a city every two minutes the average age of the victims is seventy eight point five now we had just then prime minister Giuseppe Kansei discussing the emotional impact this crisis will be having on the Italian people but he's also announced all nonessential businesses in the country must close until at least the third of April he said it was slowing down the country's production engine since June and the last school spin soon it the decision taken by the government is to close down all productive activities throughout the territory that's not strictly necessary crucial and indispensable to guarantee us essential goods and services we will ensure home the central public services such as transport measures taken so far as I've already said it will take time off when they share their faith we must continue to modify the rules with patients with responsibility with confidence that Confucius and she won the worst affected region is nobody and more is being done to help it yes low but nobody's been in lock down after two weeks the government have take to see results the first the reality is far from it the total deaths in on the account for around two said civil facilities in the country and the region is in dire need of more doctors and nurses hospitals are becoming overwhelmed by the number of new patients and staff for a really out the elements that are in an emergency appeal has helped to recruit thousands from across the country and now as we speak an award winning group of a fifty Cuban medics who specialize in dealing with disaster zones and academics are on their way to them today one of them is Cristiano Dias and he was asked if he was afraid Hilton Anatole but I am not that Adams had fifteen PM yet we're all afraid but there is a revolutionary work to do fear can be controlled and puts to one side whoever says that he isn't afraid he's a superhero and we're not superheroes we are revolutionary DOCSIS so on Saturday the region's president Attilio "Support? In Italy. Reporting Hurricane could be heading to events this the Bala. Go any other way. Joe's any chance that this could actually happen. I think he's really really really long short now because you ventures may be interested in how I think a lot of big clubs will be if he makes himself available. Let's not forget. He's got a very very long term contract spurs and they will cost a lot of money to whoever would want to sign him. The more because events is poor love money into Cristiano Renaldo of course causing them already allow money Shoot squads with huge wage as and I just don't think they have the money to spend on hurricane let alone if they really want him and if he wants to go there however. I'm sure if you'll hurricane right now. And seeing our spurs with Marina at the helm you may be wondering what you future could be because you will come back from injury someone very soon. He doesn't need to rush anything anymore. Because there's euros to play for in the summer so he can take his time and then maybe assess the situation and decided why wants to do. He loves that Claire. He's cleared. That's what he feeds home. Obviously but there's also a direction that he's not so keen on. That was what the crap is going right now. This is an isn't you take a look. At what Spurs have done over the last few months Josie Marino? And you feel Harry Kane and you're watching this all play out surely for the Samuel having about your future maybe having a word with your agent to have a word with the likes of Real Madrid. Who apparently are interested.

"cristiano" Discussed on Masters in Business

"That's like the. That was the problem statement for me and And maybe my experience at a time in solving difficult problems. Have some operator experience you know. They said you know he probably can do that. So so I did that It was a it was great. It was successful journey. And I think my Success in that end up putting me in a position to manage all the different products off qualcomm roadmap into chip division a couple years later. Well that's really interesting. How quickly do those chipsets turn obsolete or or s differently given how fast we've gone from two G. Three G. Four G. Five g? It seems like the lifespan of each one of these new generations is much less than five years. So are these chips practically obsolete when they leave the factory what how. How long are they good for for the the new hotness comes along okay Very very interesting question especially You know I like that question. Especially because How we think of our business and I'll tell you I'm going to ask you a question with an interesting metaphor a promise to make this interesting. So the answer to your question is it. Today's mobile environment a chip the chip is it's very competitive. First of all very capital intensive. But when you buy when you do a chip the way for you to think about it and I'll answer question it take we be. We have to think about what we're GONNA do in a chip two years before the gym. So we two years before the chip is done. We need to decide what capabilities chip. Who have like think about snapdragon in your Samsung phone. How how is the graphics are good is the camera? How good is the gaming capability and all of them takes two years to develop? Then you launch into a device in. Let's say you go buy your Samsung Galaxy In I got the New Apple. Eleven with the big camera Only because I wanted that really nice camera quality and zoom and I've never had a competitive since smartphones. Come out. I've only have an apple so I have no experience when he was going to get you over five G. phone it's more important than chance on GRAPPA. We need to get to a five defoe. But when did they become ubiquitous winter? Five Gene Everywhere Fergie everywhere probably in I think all metropolitan areas will have covered twenty. But I WANNA go back to your exit. Twenty Twenty Wow does twenty go back to your question so two years to do a chip you launch your phone six months. Their phone is it's obsolete and there's another model right so so it was a very interesting business because you have to. You have to decide what to do two years in advance. And he launched a flagship state of the art smartphone and In in six months to an ear you have to all over again so the metaphor that I use I feel like chip business. Like gladiator business. Yeah You you have you and your competitors you know No matter how successful you are you always want chip away From losing your success right so you have to build the best possible GYP. It can build. And it's like a gladiator. Go to the zero gonNA fight and if you lose bad outcome if you win you just read eligible to go to the colosio one more time. So the winters at the winners earned the right to fight again and certain that that that's sounding let's let's talk about some of the competitors in the chip space there's Invidia and there's amd and who else is the hot chip of the moment. These days chip industries very version depend on this segment in this space that we are Wind UP IN OWO compete with different people depending what we in different things so for example in the space that we are doing smartphones. We compete sometimes with Samsung. Their own ship right. They make a lot they. They make their own chip. We compete with While Way Phones that they used their own now when we go to. Pc's we compete with intelligence entered ABC's paste Microsoft surface access qualcomm Microsoft chip on it. So we compete with Intel when we go into the computer of MD when we go in the automotive space and and we're doing the chips to dust. Your Dashboard infotainment compete with Nvidia. So we compete with different companies One good thing about qualcomm were now expanded to so many industries. So so we we. We're going from phones to cars to internet or things to compute and many other things. So let's talk a little bit about leadership from the top of a company. How does one go from being an engineer to a manager? Those seem like very very different skill sets. Yeah I you know it's it's it maybe the way to think about it is as an engineer. Especially if you're doing complex system do you have to learn how to manage teams because you cannot do everything yourself? And maybe that's the whole thing starts but I at least for me. I think the success in my career was also They'll have this balance of understanding technology because my engineering background because of my engineering experience but also understanding the business and I think once you once you do both you have both business into technical understanding it's It's it's kind of easier For you to go to a manager role and be able to lead teams and make sure you know. Have the right strategy. We're working on the right things or doing the right products. But you know I I also think that The unique personality things as well Lake the approach that I always took as I was going to make sure that the people in my team are are doing this thing They can do better than I can do myself. It's about multiplying the ability for your multiply your capabilities by having better people than you are doing the job and I think that that make good managers and I in in in one of my recipes for success within qualcomm. We were very unique culture. We're very Matrix in a way. It's it's ability to exercise leadership but also recognizing you know tweeting all the people my team our peers and And and I think that's you get a little bit of that as working on engineering teams and developing projects together. So how does the role of president differ from that of chief executive officer the CEO of the company Monkowila has been there for quite a while. Has Stephen. I been working together for a long time actually it was If you look off You know the Steve is the CEO Jim Thompson Which is our CTO. And when I joined qualcomm a for the second time in two thousand four I was wanting to see they may business. Mollenkopf was In the US business or they there may business so we've been talking for very long time. The way works today. Steve is the CEO. He has Alex Rogers which runs our licensing business. in a reporting to Steve MOLLENKOPF. And you can look at me as probably run all of the operating business of the company so all the other business of the company or under the president and I and I and I am a run them so it the president role within qualcomm. It's it's the personal responsible for the operating role of the management. So you guys now seem to have resolved all the outstanding issues with Apple. There was a fairly contentious lawsuit. There was a hostile takeover attempt. What was it like within the company when all this what was previously? I think pretty good relationship. How did it go off the rails and how did it eventually get resolved or there's a lot there we've been to. We've been to a lot. We have two years of unbelievable turmoil and I'll say it was a great opportunity for the company to to become stronger. Ivanko show how to companies resilience specifically to your apple question Yes we had our disagreements about you know the the licensing and evaluate the technology we will we produce as I told you before We known of those standards will be possible. None of the generations of wireless will be possible. Qualcomm technology we licensed for everybody to build but we want to get paid until after property and And we stand by that principle but we're glad will resolve it and And a good thing about it resolve in a way that as a win for Apple Win for qualcomm. We're back in business together. We have a motiur grim working day. Neither make sure they have a great. You know iphone or five. T technology and business continues. That's that's really interesting. So you're at the top of the food chain in qualcomm. Who Do you turn to when you're looking for advice you know? When I need advice I talked to a lot of You know the other members of the quota management team You know I also we have a good relationship with our board of directors. We have a lot of experience people on our board but I also have Great Relationship too many senior executives across our partners and customers and And many of those Some relationships are helpful when you look at a different perspective on how to do things and you know I'm I'm somebody that really value relationships and also personal relationships and and I make full use of those at one of the names. That always seems to come up is Saudi Adela. Who's now? Ceo of Microsoft. How did that relationship interesting there was a there was a? There's an interesting article that They came out When I answer exactly that Question Journal Wall Street Journal just getting where I found that yes and in fact they specifically mention Nick Houser Burto Vanni and Robert Set Bal the longest Saudi and Adela. Yes and I could tell a little bit about why those are all technology. Rockstars aren't some are somewhere in the different categories. So so Roberto yes. That's the answer to your question And I walk here. Why those four think Roberto When I came back to qualcomm in the second time around quantum as I talked to was different company when I when I left end. Roberto was the CTO at a time. Somebody I have a Lotta respect his You know Alexander Graham Bell Prize winner for now cheaper. We done tremendous Contributions to engineering the wireless industry and he helped me You know navigate through Qualcomm also provide me a lot of sound advice To my career the other one was nick. Houser HOUSER was Earlier in my career When I went to a VCR. Work for Nick. Nick is another one of those. Very famous individuals in wireless. Nick was the first. Cto OF mccaw cellular. Which is the first settler operator into war period and later became the CTO VAT wireless and It's a few people. Have as much experience and wireless as nick. Roberto Tuba was different. One of the other things that I do besides my job at qualcomm. I am on the board off a re largest retail bank in Brazil banking industry very different than the the wireless and tech industry The Chairman of the bank is Roberta suitable he's also board member of. Shell An oil company and Very experienced individual A relationship has kind of new the been over two years now and in the bank board. But it's another person also to give me interesting perspective. How he look things. We look at things within the bank and Sometimes it's good to have a different viewpoint. Satya is different. It's a business relationship with Microsoft therefore You know we have a relationship with Satya but Satya is more about What he needed to do Microsoft's to change Microsoft from my Windows Client Company into CL- Enterprise Cloud company is a little bit like the change. I I have been doing a qualcomm from a mobile only company into going into all of the other industries that are being transformed by mobile. So it's kind of a the Saadia is like okay. It can be done. It was done so we can do it. That's kind of along those lines quite interesting. So let's talk about New versus potential or existing products. How do you balance what you're working on today with? Hey we have a new idea for something that it's sixty or seventy. How does internally? How does a company balance between what they need to sell to bring in Revenue Today? In how they think about the next couple of years of products That's exactly the Recipe for quantum success. We have teams that are working on the products that we're GONNA launch next year. We have teams are working on live on technologies and products for the next five years but we have teams that are looking like ten years out ten years out yes so so really think about a decade ago versus today. Two Thousand and nine. Did WE HAVE ANY IDEA. About how popular drones would be you barely had smartphones out there. A decade seems like a lifetime in technology. You Know Berry. Two thousand ten When when we launch in Oh four G. and you buy your four G. smartphone. That's where we start working on five G. Right and And I said that's the recipe for success like right now we're very excited five. G. Transformation Five G. in is just the beginning of that. It's GonNa last for ten years. We have technology coming for multiple years on five G. but we also need to start thinking right now. What's going to come next and that's sixty. I think so so five G. is I mean. Three four five have three two to three to four each have been pretty nice steps up but it looks like four. G. To five G. is a giant bandwith and the ability to stream video. Almost instantly over cellular that was unimaginable. Ten years ago. Yes but if I may five days bigger than that Here's how you should think about five G. and that's why you get so much attention While you get so much conversation going across multiple industries today we we have pretty much everything everything in this room That uses eletricity. You just assume as there has ship it then. They have electricity so much that you connect to the wall because you need electricity. Assume YOU'RE GONNA find a plug their ubiquitous. This is what five G. will do to the Internet so five G. is technology has been designed not only to provide massive bandwidth to your phones but to connect everything else to the Internet so once five G. is done when we done through this decade of five G. Networks fully deployed..

"We are a creator of standards. We create new technology created like three G. and four G. Five James and we license the technology anybody can build. That's delicensing business. We created each of the cellular standards beyond they create a to G. They created three four five. And I'm going to ask you later. What comes after five G. will we'll get to that way to think about it. Every STANDARD EVERY GENERATION OF WIRELESS IT Whether it's two. G. Three G. Four G. and now five G. It's it's based on a standard There's a standard body that extended this for contributions from any company Through all the digital cellular generations has started with three g all the way to right now in five g. There were building has been the largest contributor or fundamental technology standards. So in a way. Yes many of the things that we do today with. Our phones is in part based on inventions in has been part of every single standard. So that's a licensing business. They're licensed technology. Qc T it's QUALCOMM. Cdma technologies is the chipset business. Right so when you think about phones with qualcomm processors and qualcomm chips snapdragon so snapdragon is the chipset and to what that goes into Samsung android apple. Everybody qualcomm chips go today to majority of the phones. Yes he goes. Interest phone but also beyond phones are chips. Not all chips are labeled snapdragon but our chips go to Wi fi. Routers go to The infotainment dashboard in your car. ghosts. Too many things in your home. I think we go to your smartwatch. We have chips now. In a variety of products does quite fascinating. So what was your sense of the environment in the nineteen nineties? You Join Qualcomm in ninety five. Did you have any sense that the whole tech sector was in a bubble and we're GONNA see a pretty big drop joined. Welcome in Ninety Five. And there was a lot of growth into wireless. It was different into dot com bubble because the world is really growing in. Continue to grow. I think Straight through people wanted to go cell phones ask however I did left Qualcomm I had a short period of time. I went to Ericsson and then I joined a VC right before the DOT com bubble burst and join a VC. I moved to Colorado and We we had raised a lot of money. We had a lot of investments and then with the bubble burst. I I had to do with it and and it was interesting. He was a different phase of my career One over investments we have was an operator in Brazil Cell phone operator.

Qualcomm is at the center of 5G. Were still, almost, there.

"When it comes to rolling out five G.. There are a lot of moving parts at the heart hearts of the stories. It's qualcomm the company makes wireless chips for your phone and develops and licenses other technology in the wireless industry and it's been pushing five Gerard like future of the business hard but there are aspects of the five G. Rollout qualcomm can't control like how long it takes infrastructure to make it into you every neighborhood in the country. The company is also the subject of an F. T. C. investigation over whether it abused its monopoly. Position in four G.. Technology to charge too much for licensing. It actually settled a long-running lawsuit with apple over the same thing. Last April Cristiano Amman is the president of QUALCOMM. And we spoke about all of this at in Las Vegas starting with the promise of five G.. Basically as you bring the computational power of the cloud cloud all of the data that exists in the cloud to any device and one of the things we said in the very beginning of this transition in the five era era will develop side by side with five G.. Just because you're connected to Clo- you have a lot of data you can apply machine learning tool the data five days also technology that I think we've I've been waiting for right. We've been talking about the promise for a long time consumers. Being consumers people are getting impatient. At what point do you think people are getting frustrated. Or they're gonNA. I say this is all hype and no reality. I agree those things. Take time for you to have all of those benefits technology you have to have coverage infrastructure instructor needs to be built. There is no free lunch unless you have covers. You Not GonNa get there. We have a couple of things that would dealing with as an industry. I I if you look at United States one of the number one obstacles when you talk to operators its ability to get new sites up and they are working working with municipalities one at a time China for example have identified one million sites for five G. until the end of two thousand twenty. It also sounds like five day deployment is really important to your long term business success. I mean is there any world I can just hear the open source community city saying like listen you could potentially make some of this available for everybody to build on to accelerate the ecosystem. Well that's what we do if you were an automaker or if you're an industrial company and let's say you're Bausch and you're making manufacturing robots and you want to add five g you have to build. Put An engineering capability of a Samsung or apple. To be able to deal with this and what qualcomm offers is will provide you a license. Essence would provide you a chipset would provide a reference design. We provide your software. You can easily add seller to your robots industrial machine to your car and if you we don't have a model that is horizontal in creates eco-system. You actually prevent all of those other industries to get access to sell it. They have to build a cellular or phone company to be able to do it. And that is why we think five G. we're going to see an expansion of the licensing model not the other the other direction. Yeah this is a little bit of a left turn but we've been doing a lot of coverage on climate and how technology in the tech industry can help us adapt be more. Resilient may maybe maintain emergency communications. How do you see welcomes role in sustainability and resilience and climate conversation overall? Look I I feel I feel. It's a IT'S A. It's an interesting I agree with you. It's I didn't expect that question but The way the way we think about is I at the very basic. We're a company that developed technology for a battery powered device like we don't have the luxury extre- in into technology that we do to assume that we're going to be plugged into wall so we're probably being br building a lot of efficiency. That's no no Secret why we've been so successful in automotive because as an industry like any all of the industry really try to address How they can be more efficient consume laugh? You will consume less electricity and I think as a general. I think that's one of the things that we contribute. The other thing is by making everything connected it. There is a significant increase in productivity. Even when you think I'm trying to provide more of a vision but we always said that that every year that goes by you do more of your work and your phone And I think that's going to change over time with everything connected enact productivity people will be able to Damore to work at home. They won't be able to connect with other people without having to be there and I think there's a lot of in direct benefits of basically providing technology that allow everything to be connected. I do as long as we're in our awkward questions phase WanNa talk about licensing Because parts of that business model of come under scrutiny qualcomm Ben in a long legal battle with the Federal Federal Trade Commission over whether some of those this licensing agreements have reached monopoly status. Do Plan to approach five licensing any differently in light of those disputes. Look there's so much I can tell you about. You know the dispute. I think other than the public statements were made. Were very pleased and was the right decision. You know for us to be granted at stay and I. I think we're waiting for the appeal. But we can tell you is we. We actually have a very vibrant Licensed business more though. That equi enables competition competition. We're very pleased that we have many companies that sign a five t license with qualcomm independent of the dispute in even post the ruling and That validation that you know we have a competitive business model and actually won the provides growth in competition industry. All right last question because you first joined qualcomm. Welcome in Nineteen Ninety five when the company was just ten years old. And you've left income back since then but I just. I wonder what that journey has been like in this entire ecosystem system. It's an. It's an incredible company. Actually I was fortunate enough to join before the first. CDMA network was able to see. Every single transition of wireless ARLEDGE LENDS EIGHTY FIVE THIRTY ONE G two G to three G. to four G. Five G. so I've been to all of those it's really fascinating to see how seller changed the society. It's one of those few opportunities dead and I think all of our employees feel that you can work on something that you actually no that changed the society and It's also interesting to see that we. We may bet that everybody. In each one of those bats knowing exception told us that's That's not gonNA work or there's no need for this and And we'll we'll be able to see as we state with their vision to transformation and I don't WanNa go back all the way to CMA. But I'll tell you an example when when when we first talk about four g you know it was fascinating to see. All of the analysts on their blackberrys sending emails to each other saying a WHO needs a hundred megabits per phone. Nobody needs it. I have living I need to have my email I have all of the. DSM is good enough for email and blackberrys now and Ns US and now we see people say hi. Paul needs to be connected with the cloud and you know multiple gigabits of Speed Woolsey. "Awesome podcast. And we've Gab. mccourty aww back with us I know Mr horrendous working restore you don't understand cried because I just thought what's the point of this installs fantastic fact also shoot it anyway. Let's just out welcome back as well and Vandini me. I'm back as well and this week. It's I would like to say it's been fighting largely because disappoint us But you've into deeds kids even though they did win and I think that's the game that we should start off with because it was the biggest game over the weekend event hosted me land one one nil largely logic because the man who used to really never performed the big matches and rally school with his right foot pulled off. What is nothing short? Won't fantastic with the right short manage to get the only goal of the game but the only talking point that everyone really catch about was the fact that Renaldo was taken off the pitch replaced by the man who scored the goal and he looked extremely on how he is. He stormed his way through into the tunnel. Apparently left the stadium. Now this is the first time says two thousand sixteen that he's left the field before an hour of play and I think in his entire career is happened. And what nine or ten times so Is this whole like a mountain out of a moment any need to address this. I'm sure you noticed this Nikki. So if you notice I mean. It has a certain antipathy towards a Polish Argentine notice. You manage to explain everything perfectly right. Polish ultra probably about yeah. He's Polish of Polish extraction using Polish. Passport you know. I didn't know that all cady Buckner it change your perception of him little good okay. Grant documentary we go down this thing. But there's a there's a really good documentary Committee twenty minute documentary on Youtube about these two Polish guys who go visit depot. You might have still been in Palermo and show him pictures of his grandmother. who was out farming potatoes? or or whatever like before World War One or you you know and the whole thing. Anyway we digress. It was just pointing out out of her way without without to do the whole introduction summed everything perfectly she. It didn't mention his name one. Oh I'm sorry yes I am a touchable anyway. He got you back in. The boys is in the studio and the AFC show were very critical of Romagnoli defending. I thought it was a tremendous move from DEBA- we're probably he didn't get his body shape right but equally equally. I understand if you're on your way to Venice. You don't WanNa give a penalty first and foremost but that said Magnificent episode up until that point anyway Roman though some more context you gave us a two thousand sixteen that she's been substituted in consecutive games. He was substituted suited against Lokomotiv Moscow. As well I actually went back and checked in the last ten years going back to the start of his first season at Rommel rate. It's only happened three other times instead. He was substituted in consecutive games. One doesn't really count because it's in the run up in this season in the run up to the final. When you know obviously he was playing and not playing in? I'm trying to stay fit. Whatever the the laws final they won? Okay so I think it is relevant. I think because reaction is relevant in the sense that you know he's not happy. Walked out straight down. The tunnel showered got dressed and left the stadium three minutes before the final whistle further to that the next morning though the flipside the next morning is that you know he sent out a conciliatory instagram. And you've intas were very quick. Admitted be known that everything had been patched up with his teammates. Can we can highlight pilot one thing from that instagram. The take in probably nobody else. The event is Hashtag like the club uses all the time is now which means literally until the end he didn't you know the tweet is our what is like You know important when you know good job or something and then until the end you'd literally included uncleared it so I mean what what struck me is. There's two points maybe one I agreement. We can go over this if anybody's strongly disagrees. He's but leaving before. The end is a major to your teammates who are out there playing right. That's in every sport at every level that said the spite the way Rinaldo gets depicted. He's generally very popular with his teammates. He would have gone and spoken to them afterwards. I don't think this is a big deal guys thing not part is i. I don't think it's it's nearly as big as it was sort of made out speaking. I think the event is our club that and I think knows how to downplay these things when they want to. I do think that what you are seeing here without question in my mind. Is that Renaldo. Who is a special case I think it's it's Not that they have never been players who have spoken by tonight. Forgive trouble that before Divi indeed and when he had a when he was not getting gametime allegra had an incident or two where he gave him some net back but he didn't leave the stadium early and when she gave too much Back total likely. He found himself excluded. I think that if this was not Rinaldo. I think there'd be no chauncey would stop next game whereas I think because it's been although he will start the next game so it's it's yeah. I guess my question about all of this is that we know that Rinaldo is crazy about his health and fitness. You know and we know that. He's suffering with a doctor fatigue and there were some things going around social media where he sort of pointed that was on sky sports around the fifty minutes. There is another one that's going round whereas the seventeen minutes so that's probably from a number I need it. Looks like he's sort of just like really suffering with it now. I don't know whether it's like. He's just being rude you too because he's so angry that he got taken off whether it's the case of Oh my God what is this is a serious injury and I'm feeling pain and I need to address this white now because I'm Cristiano Renaldo so there was is a case if an although felt he was unwell presumably wouldn't have left us to save. That's I do think that he has his own People to take care of things not necessarily always as with the stadium Harrelson waiting for home and they don't go to the I mean all it's seems odd to that that would be the case. I think it's a simpler. I think the Saudis said he'd been having a nickel he certainly doesn't look it doesn't fit 'cause it's terrible and I don't think that because I don't think that part is what is a big deal. Is Saudi making this decision because a lot of people would have thought that it is a ballsy the decision to go and substitute this guy two weeks in a row regardless of how badly he's playing also because as was pointed out before If you remember Verona Game Rinaldo was terrible and then you know towards the end of the game out of nothing does little Shimmy wiggles button. Wins Eddie. Yeah he's got that obviously is you can do it anytime from standstill. Yes of course what's fascinating here is that Saudi has done this twice. I'm both times. He has nail the substitution. I mean whether or not it's really that Saudi his reinvented. His team. Technically made these changes. He's done something particularly clever. If he's just looking on the bench during your quite good scoring goals get on that but either way. He's now twice a week I it was cost with the brilliant Go against liberal monkey and then another brindaban governed about us so in that sense. At least Saturday is sort of. I think Sarah's come out of this great personally. I think he's Pete for his. Jews came out afterwards and said Yeah. Well we should thank Renaldo at all times that he's given and I think he's like he he's like I'm going to do I need to do when it comes to the substitutions and then after that I'll pitch to them to the man who you know I I'm okay with you know whilst saying and I think it's important to say that that we're now there's a special case and not everybody is treatment treatment. I am okay with the idea that Jew you know what a bit like Antonio constantly being just unable to handle losing Renaldo. Who actually in an interview? If you're not long ago Mostly football was saying. Oh I don't even know if it was up to interesting. The Champions League games I don't you know it's a big names getting excited like I think in some level bike he contradicts himself on that because yes he sort of gives off. This is like this crash. WanNa pay reimport games. But I think he literally just kind of handle even though his body is physically telling him you're hurt. Don't you know you don't need this right now. He can't handle not being the man like being told right now. We need someone else. Don't you because that is what it was. It's like he was hindering. Event is rather than helping them. I think that like really like emotionally affects him. ECON hung well sedan management really well when they around Madrid and he was like listening to you know we need you to be fresh for the important games because as the ones in which will make a difference so if you're struggling now it really doesn't matter what pay Milan I mean you know even if we lose this game it's not the walls calls on the end of the game and the season and so I think what it is is that you know he needs to understand that. Sometimes this will happen because what sedan always used to see them. As as long as we win the champions the you'll be the man who wins the door but let's talk about the game because I think that I'm not entirely sure doing Rinaldo. We should address though. Oh the bigger elephant in the room. which is that in terms of scoring contribution this year? And we're in November. Now this is. He's a lot less productive because people are pointing out. It could all change management since it's the ultimate messy wasn't productive at all until onto what like October this year. So it happens but Fabio Capello attention and he said It's been three years since he's gone past anybody. And I don't know Cappella. Did this intentionally knowing him a little bit. I wonder if maybe there was an extra bit of needle because this is the one this. This is one criticism. It's supposedly you talk to people. In Spain this is what led to the breakdown between their relationship with Florentino because Florentine apparently said that like five or six years ago. We're bugged me here. You got you guys. Says he doesn't go pass people will. He hasn't gone past people for a long time. I tweeted out successful dribbles. They're actually up. It's about one and a half for one point six a game since he's been at. Uva there actually are pro ninety minutes rather actually up compared to about fifty percent compared to his last two seasons at Madrid obviously before for that he was hired for that was like younger. is this is a big deal. There isn't go back. I mean what it just seems to me. It's a weird benchmark mark to use for a guy like who's John or not most guys who are doing all those size let alone his age. Do not go past people I I. I don't think it I think it hasn't bothered me even more so because you have. That isn't true what I do think I I do think that to watch competitor season and this is vision impression. He seems heavier. He seems nothing literally nothing. He's got fat. I just feel like he's not moving as explosively as he's been and I think with no ability to have the insight right from what the doses standing on snow but going on him standing in the Middle Pitch Meena said and making gestures that looks like someone and physical abuse injury. It's it's hard to for me to separate separate. How much of this is injury? And I think the one thing that almost bothers me most second in time is that this has happened a nice day.

"You're listening to fill Dibella and this is flash costs by PAYDAY bay today I've got a special little guest has been on the show before and he's my number one little man it's my little son Ali Dibella his nine years old Ali welcome to the show allied always great to have my children on the show and I I like to do these splash costs with children to lend a little bit of different sought because as I say it's a lobster all about family personal and professional said today we're GONNA do a Flash Koster and family and I'm going to ask some questions and they'll just be random questions that are not script it'll rehearsed and let's see what comes out of the the mind of a nine year old plays if you've got children feel free to share this or his parents to learn from because my my kids are often my best teachers I've learned so much from my nine year old son Ali in a lot from my eleven year old daughter Anika said today we've got early on the show Anna Stop by asking him a question here in Queenstown on holidays and we know that all kids love holidays Ali number one question what's the best things about holidays the best things about holidays is probably just being free knowing that you don't have to have anything on your back and probably get Matt Yeah Well You love your ipad and explain what do you mean by on your back because obviously you go to a great school being Cherchi and it's pretty full on so when he explain a little bit further what you mean by not having anything on your back and being free how does it actually feel like example if you don't have any homework the holidays and you really have to feel the weight of it like you don't have to feel the weight of it as in knowing that it's Jewison that you have to do it it went off to noon and it's going to be painful so obviously homework can be quite pressure and all the rest of it so you understand oversee why you get homework right tell me why what do you think teaches give you guys maybe it's because we need to learn in the real world as well not just in a classroom great answer tell me Ali what's something that stands out you just finish term three at school what stands that from the time what was something that really standing your mind in terms of schooling something that I'm looking forward to it hasn't happened yet is probably school camp but even fun things at school stewart requires something like after practice packing at tens back in in a sleeping bag into a bag like done just shove it in there so you learnt that this term they've been teaching you and ready for campus era yes tell me what was the hottest thing term that you did at school probably going from grade three to four because it's kind of a big leap going from the Loa of school to the more higher grades prep school you find that the workloads increasing and there's a lot more workload in the works getting a little bit hotter yes so how do you cope with this extrovert I guess Chai to worry about it just think about a positive ending positive ending what his mum talk about in terms of your mindset gene positive and never being negative because I can be negative negative what do you think you're negative sometimes maybe because I'm being a bit hard on myself and where do you think that comes from that probably comes from my experience from school about how ed one tiny little saw can come to negatively so what do you do when you feeling those negative thoughts what are you as a nine year old boy what do you do Kumba those sorts maybe just think of a again and positive ending to use the power of positive mindset to lead you in the Direction yes tell me at sort of school what are you doing what's your favorite sport and I love spending time with my family and that's Soka face what do you love about Soka maybe because many people who support football just think it's can pretending we heard but it's not like that it it's what you desire you might not like soccer that's right you can try this thoughts it's not forcing you to do things but what do you like about soccer I like about Soka how you get chance you get chances is that you that you train you can get better you can get really pedal and someday be is good is Cristiano Renaldo something that is is that what you aspire to be what do you want to do in terms of soccer we talk about being the best you can be what do you want to do with yourself maybe take it into the pro leagues I'm not so sure about Latte as facing reality but maybe well what you dream and where a win goes energy funds is what we talk about right yes now tell me about family we know that you love spending time with family yours very cuddly and always wanting to come to have great conversations and I have to say you one of the best conversationalist I've ever come across and I'm proud that you my little boy but tell me what he loves so much about spending with family maybe because today we did the escape room and that was family bonding so that's probably what it is family hang builder building a stronger relationship and when we're building a family strengthen family relationships how do you feel how does it make you feel I feel together not learn the opposite of one I you can say and what else tummy what what comes to mind so you know those feeling better today when we did the escape room which was fantastic something different at a company sign we did it as a family you know what came to mind what now reflecting today what what what are thoughts that come to your mind about it what did you love about it or what did you find hide anything what comes to mind about it got my dad and my sister and my family a great detectives because daddy gets things done he's he is time management on ACC is really good at solving things mom is really good at thing it together so everyone is not doesn't explode and I'm the person who carries things that's pretty cool but I have to I am very proud of you that's a very good analogy You know I let great things today are letting how important it is that we all communicate effectively That we made sure that everyone comes along for the journey and the ride and Geez we had an amazing time in the skype broom if anyone that has never tried it can I say get your families and go and try these room there's places all around Australia we did it here in Queenstown New Zealand we had an absolute bowl but Ali told me what's it like to be nine year old boy probably starting to Ni- nine and ten year olds can get a little bit down as in because a grade three to four is it's dots Jihad but when you free it feels like heaven like aw you can can do anything you can fly you can lift causes with your pinky anything and free meaning when you're on as you feel free yes so you know but without holidays you don't get the hardware without the hard work you don't get holidays right yes and what is Dead Essay the best you can be now listen my friend the world's GonNa throw really difficult things that you at times and we talk about the our what's the I would resilience and what is resilience main to you probably perseverance pushing eh trying your best and getting it done and what about when you four down what do you make sure you do get back up again that's me friend it's always about getting back up because you know what life's going to throw some crazy things at you like it has for me has up and being the best you can be might I'm going to hand over to you feel final words Tony wants something you'd like to share with the listeners navy if your parents pay it's you're always on your final something pay more attention to your kids because they might be struggling with something you don't know about maybe trying in family wanted is a good idea because kids you can know you'll parents can help you it's not it's not fully independent you've got to do some things independent but what you're struggling with parents feared that said job USO was new year's and blue. That's why I say that my kids have been my best teachers until next time you've been listening to fill Dibella and Ali Dibella and as I say be conveyed

"And if the answer is no, then it's not contract. You should play trade for well. Yeah. I guess we can use that to transit to the next one. Because this is definitely a deal that will never be given out again Cristiano Felicio from the bulls making four years three to thirty two million dollars, basically eight million dollars a year just an instinct contract. There was part of the two thousand sixteen summer. I guess maybe they liked us upside, and they were like, oh, all these other big men like getting deals where they're getting paid sixty million dollars a year. So Felicia half that will be a steel and simply that has not been true. I mean this year he's he's in his age twenty six season. So he shook theoretically be in his prime. He's not even every every game player at this point. He's averaging three point six points of view point three months of game. Some me it's the guy who should maybe be in Europe and excelling over there. Like in the last I thought a game to me it doesn't strike me as an NBA level player. The you'll the kind of only saving grace for the deal is that. This year. He's old eight point five million dollars. And by the last year that deal ends at seven point five million dollars. So it does get lower. It's still a terrible terrible contract. And maybe if there's a bigger deal in the works something that could be used as a good salary filler. Because sometimes if two teams are over the cop and one team is drained for a player making twenty mil teams make trading one where twelve million you need that eight million dollar gap to fill it and got police ios contract is perfect for that. But as far as playing basketball, it's it's a terrible terrible contract. Yeah, that's an ugly. One an annual average of eight million and for a guy that's been averaging three point six points, three point five rebounds. And again like you said in his prime. That's that's pretty bad. I'm sure there were kicking themselves in regretting that one. The next player. We have is nNcholas tomb in Charlotte. And I'll start this one off just because this is the player I was talking about I interviewed him recently from article on overpaid players in that overpaid label. And he said it was really tough for him whenever he signed his deal. And he felt like he had this ROY. Wrong now like he stole the money, and he felt really guilty about it. You know, he's of depressed about it. He heard all the fans and what they were saying. And you know, he basically said, look, I was never evolved. The Goshi nations by agent talk to the front office. I just kind of sat back, and they did all the work in the on the one that gets all the blame for this. And I feel like I committed a crime or something he was like I feel like I he feels like he walked into a Bank and robbed at basically, it was interesting his quote here talking about that. 'cause I only people realize when they're throwing around this overpaid claims things like that that these guys here it and are affected by their families here. They're affected by it. So excited to read this article pretty soon here, but it was kind of interesting hearing him talk about that. And how bad he felt because of his contract, which is horrible. You know, I know Shirley, fans apply frustrated because really the Hornets. Don't have a ton of. Really a ton of leeway here there. They don't really have ways to approve the roster around a guide Kemba Walker. So yeah, if you didn't have the books that would be easier, but yeah, they blaming Batumi for a deal. He didn't go she ate and for taking the money, which everyone would would do in that position. It just kind of interesting to me to kind of get his side of the story. And and you know, here about what I experience like when you pitched up to be part of this article how they take it was like offended like, oh, why are you talking about that? Or I was really worried that some of these guys will be offended. That's what I thought too. I I wasn't sure because I don't know him to be clear. There's some guys that I know. And if I if I made it clear, I'm not trying to be a jerk here..

"In your Venice, pushing for you max is who do you think one this homecoming showdown between you know, and Cristiano Renaldo, obviously, you know, both teams got a win a p four, but you feel about, you know, the they show up in Brazil, we have you know, there's a lot of consists of Brown former players being really well against their former plugs. So curious I think from I mean, just purely from like a who played better, obviously Cristiano Renaldo play better who. Got the better end of the dual. I think both of them kind of are probably a little disappointed, obviously. Cristiano Ronaldo scored. And boy did he score, but ultimately lost. And then Pogue. Yeah. Going into this game. There are all sorts of interviews pogo saying, oh, you know, terrain is my home. And it's like what I thought man says unite was your home he played when you went back to Manchester United. He was like, you know, Manchester as my home now, it's like Theresa's my home. We get it. Do you're rich. You have lots of houses. Stuff really thought about like it's not yet. There's no emotional connection. He's just like actually own real estate in this city. Celebrate. And you have the goal score. That's pretty much very likely could have been just a real estate. The statement not really. Some indication of commitment. I think I think the key which maybe gives it to poke in a way is that Manchester United fans with you know, I think there was a sliver of hope even if the most optimistic fan that somehow when Renaldo left Real Madrid that he'd come back to Manchester United that dream is dead. There's no there's no hope that that Mench. They're going to bring Cristiano Ronaldo back. But after this after this game, you know, you have players like I think it was Benicio today who said that he wants pug, but a comeback to to Juventus. And I think there's a real there's a palpable sense within the Juventus community that Pogue could very well come back and with that just to that uncertainty in that energy. I think probably happier. And he kind of you know, he didn't score, but he kind of finagled it. So that Alex Sandra got that own-goal at the end. So you know, it was his. Confusion element that led to the own goal. So I'm going to give to the edge to poke in terms of who got the who got the edge of the return facing off your your old team. Thorough analysis. I try to. I think no one would want of expected. This like exciting, you know, showdown to go down like this kind of neutral, Abe. You know Christiane scored that goal. It would have been pretty neutral fair. Not neither side a lot of damage against each other. Absolutely. All right. Let's talk awards because I've got kind of low on awards yesterday. I got some awards to give out today. I'm going to start. Let's start with best goal. First nominee easily Cristiano Renaldo and his first touch blast on the like through over the head through ball pass. Unbelievable. What a goal and then impressive about that. Is that Cristiano Renaldo has this particular shot that no I think most players if they can manage to get the ball there like to make the connection we're probably across goal Christiane or really Oleg shot that just like leaders parallel right down the line. And so that was impressive on all fronts. So firm so firm. Then my next nominee. Although you were slightly critical of trick is Garbriel Jesus in his chip shot to close out the game. Good is just a good old fashioned ship shot easy to mess up. And and he got it. Although to be fair the nets shot goalie was way off his line. So he made it relatively easy and then two other nominees..

"Mr. Rinaldo yet. Renault's lawyer actually said sorry to cut in real quick. But based on that whole defamation standpoint, we're all those lawyers said that this publication from Bigler is absolutely illegal and quote. It violates the personal rights and quote of Cristiano Renaldo. And so that lawyer never said it was a piece of fiction. He doesn't call it fake. He doesn't say it's wrong. He just says, it's it's too personal and to private to become public. No, no, yeah. You're absolutely right. Moving on. These are the actions within the complaint that the plaintiff is alleging. The first causes battery. The sexual Sammy, the plaintiff, five Bernado constitutes battery. They're asking for suffered damages, some fifty thousand the intentional emotional distress, which she claims that she has post traumatic stress disorder and major depression based on the traumatic incident that she alleges. The third action is coercion in fraud. So this is what this is a major one because they're trying to say they will worst her into the mediation that Renault's camp, which they are calling fixers. So this is the fixers of Renault's problem. That's what the play. That is what the complaint states that they were coerced. Because if they essentially saying if miss my Oga didn't comply that they were going to ruin her and because he's such a big superstar, that's why when she first went to the police and I, she didn't want to say anything. They want to say it was Chris. Kiara because she was a freight of his fame in his fans of his stardom essentially. Do you see what I'm saying? Yeah, yeah, I do. Okay. So that's that. Sorry. I'm just trying to flip through this thing is thirty two pages guys. I've read it twice now. It is not fun. Moving onto the fourth claim of voter, person of she's universal due to what occurred. Here we go to the fifth. 'cause racketeering and civil conspiracy. Now, this is a big one that I think needs to be addressed because what is being alleged here is essentially because they went through mediation, they try to. Stop like the process of the police. I guess that's that's kind of what they're trying to say here. That the investigation by the Las Vegas police kind of went away because they tried to just swipe under the bus with this mediation or hush money. Do you see what I'm saying? Yeah, yeah. I mean, but in a civil in a civil case like this in a settlement case like this and we've seen it before in the history of America is that this kind of bypasses any type of punishment or any type of accountability for the defendant if set allegation is true, if they settle out of court, then it's done. So they're basically saying that they conspired to make sure it never reached the police even though the police were already contacted. Yeah. Well, they're trying to say here is the activties and conspiracy 'cause where the delay or prevented the criminal investigation and prosecution of cushy our not for the soul that code on June thirteenth, two thousand nine. My NPR voices on point right now by the way, also defamation of character. That's the six calls of action. I don't need to get into that. And then the seventh call is abuse of process, including alternative dispute resolution, including me is a legal process recognized and protected by Nevada statutes. Let me see here. Sorry, I had my notes written here. Okay. All right. Well, that's a seven. 'cause I don't fully understand it. I mean, if you guys wanna go through this giant three, two page complaint, please do so. And then the causing action essentially saying throughout the NBA all so this can complete, can like go through uniting. All right. So that's where we are with all this stuff going on. You guys, you know what the judge always says. In every case that I've worked in you guys or the fact finders were just here to report what has been reported that is the complaint that is stuff from the dirt spiral. Article and you know, we think it was important to, you know, cover this very sensitive topic is a very sensitive issue. But I think my personal opinion is if any of these claims are true or even if it does go to court, this could be bigger. This could be the OJ Simpson of the twenty th century. This could be the OJ Simpson case of international world. The thing that I draw most parallels with is the whole Koby. Bryant thing that happened in the early two thousand..

"Cristiano even twang dead cells, non stop to does you think dead cells needs more content doesn't need to feed the beast, or is there enough there to keep he, you know, keep banging your head against that dead cell. I mean, the I haven't completed yet. I don't think it needs more content until I've seen the end of it. End of its content. I'm still purposely avoiding certain runs because I think they're a little too annoying for how how underpowered IAM to go certain ways. So I think there's plenty enough of their their for me. I have hit a point where I think I needed to just do some grinding for me to be powered up enough for where I am in the game. I have. I can consistently get past the concierge and then I'm if fifty fifty on clock king which is named timekeeper. But then after that I just get wrecked. So it's like, I'm at this point now, do I wanna do like a forty minute run to really grind and get all these cells and then just get lit up when I'm trying to get into new parts of the game. Like how fun is that some waiting for that back half of the game to click. 'cause I'm not quite there. I think I let I don't mean this to be a humble brag, but I think I let skill and or getting. I was good at carry me further and the game, then I should be. And now I'm kind of hitting a little bit of difficulty curve or I need to learn a different load out, but I'm so committed to the weapons. I'm using that. I haven't learned how to you know, parlay these enemies, weaknesses that facing now. Yeah, it's interesting. You sort of get yourself into a rhythm of a certain path through the early content and you. I'm not saying you telling me, I tend to thing where you. Repeat the same. It's like, let's say you, you're trying to memorize something and you say the first two pages of thing, and then you get stuck on the third and then you go back to the beginning to the first two, or would you like writing your first screenplay? And you keep rewriting the first bit and then you add an extra page and then you read it through and you re-read the the first bit. Again, the second your that I like little bit is going to be really good because you keep doing it over and over and over again and the latter half which you do rarely is takes longer to get right. And I feel like that's the same phenomenon here is you get so good on those first few areas because they're so familiar because you keep doing them over and over again. And it takes so much longer to get to the latter half and get good at those areas because right. And even though the first part is procedural in isn't exactly the same layout? No, the enemy types and know how to I'm comfortable defeating them. I know what I wanna load up to go take on the concierge and I know my way up the tower and. Kind of how I wanna play those sections of the game. But yet it's hard. I'm a little a little frustrated with with myself and with the game right now. 'cause it's just any other game right one, a non rogue. Like you get to the hard boss and guacamole too, or whatever, or heart section, and you can just reload that section in here as even as well versed, as I am in the early parts of the game, it's still twenty minutes. It's like, do play this game for twenty minutes to get your butt handed to you on minute twenty one. And I haven't quite found the joy in that yet. But I think I'll take a little break here next week with another game that's coming out on PlayStation. And then I'll dive back in. All right, Christian. What is on your playlists? I wanna talk about is far cry, five, the DLC update it is dead living. Zombies came out in the third and final thing of kind of the season pass or was been planned and man. I really like these deal sees that they're not as rich as the main game, but in terms of little encapsulated experiences within the world, they're really cool. And this one takes the kind of left for dead approach where there are multiple chapters that are all kind of standalone playthrough experiences that lead me to one of my annoyances with it..

"It was to win the champ his league and yesterday. Champions League final, but they just weren't able to negotiate that final hurdle in the form of in the form of Real Madrid. Well, it lasts anyway. This one. So for you? It does. Once you consider that Renaldo is no through the doors and how you have to restructure that team that this was perfectly the fact that a way in his own orbit, but you don't lose. The likes of dibella I think is is huge for you. Let's with renowned do coming in including a huge problem because it was only one place that Renaldo is ever going to play, not shitting a forward. So they have just moved e, Hugh. I mean, we're talking about could be a problem. He quaint sitting on the bench just being a squad player that would have been even bigger problem. Not just not just for the dressing room, but financially as well. This is this is fun testing for you. Well, like you said with Cristiano Ronaldo opening the doors, walking events. Look at some of the title odds in terms of to win the city are. Now, of course, you ventures heavy, heavy favorites AC Milan not so much at sixteen to one, but the big. Title that you've end is definitely want, which possibly was the reason why they went after Cristiano Renaldo is this one, the Champions League title, and we have a look at the odds six to one four. You vent as Paulo with Ronaldo's acquisition. Do you think how much has strengthened their squad enough to get them that Champions League title finally. Look, you know, the thing I keep saying about Ronel though in particular is it's not just that you signed the guy who schools goals, and he's averaging goal a game in the Champions League now for years. So you don't get much better than that. It's not just though that you had someone who has proven that he can score and score in the knockout stage. This competition sense that you get out of your way because actually the last two years who is who has it been stop vendors from going further in this one, it's been Real Madrid. It's been for now though. It's been literally him. So of course it increases at John is, but events were already. They were already close. You know, they've been to two finals in the last four years. The Champions League is always gonna. Come down today. It's always gonna come down to individual performance in individual settings. Don't think you can sort of sit there and say, oh, you get Renaldo, and you get the champions, they, but what is clear? And I think is even more so after this Benicio move because look, they've given away a fantastic piece for the future in Colorado. I'll a really great defender who has a. I think a big future ahead of him event is a no longer hiding from the fact they are trying to win this thing and they're trying to do it right now. They know that we're now has his window but new cheese, not a spring chicken either, but they know that he's going who's been with them to those Champions League finals before they are tooling up for this. This is what they are trying to win. Quick break, but when we come back, we'll be guessing what Ed Woodward. Josie. Marino. We're talking about last night after the game against Real Madrid. "And I think one of the big underlying issue in this is to replace Cristiano Renaldo. You don't necessarily go and try and replace Kris Jenner now to what you need to do is change the mechanism of the team. So if instead of one place scoring fifty in a couple of couple of pies, getting ten fifteen, you've got three. Replies getting twenty five thirty. Then you're then you're in a much better place. Now I'm just frying numbers up there before everyone says, there's no way you're gonna get free people with goals, but you all going to be able to spread them around. But I think they need to re kind of rethink how they do this an how these pieces fit in. But the closest thing to are now to shaped piece or now Renaldo style piece. If he can stay fully isg our file, but they need to resolve his future. And that's by no means one hundred percent clear at this point. Receive. He was talking about sends piece wants to fill up. I appreciate the cleanup. He said since said that before we jump Sean make out of the pill, why? Why do you think people would jump on you? Because you seems seems all this seems obesity. On a fall. But for me for me when they gun to Bill, a basically was playing center forward for spas, but it could move where he wanted and he's schooled up by about a fool of goals. So, yeah. You know, a good idea. No, no. All I personally think think he's the closest thing. I think the numbers might not be quite so high, but I think it's more more obviously right now there is a resistance, the idea that anyone can come in and do what we're now two did. And as I don't know if anyone necessarily do exactly the same thing, not least because of a players. And in this I include bio even if I have the talent, even if they have the qualities, this particular type of player, they don't necessarily have the personality that run out of house. Now it could be that long term. This is beneficial for it does open things up, burn out or had a had an ability to kind of dominate his personality and everything was funneled through him in a way that probably wouldn't happen with another player even if the other player and whether this is by someone else how exactly the same skill sets. As Renaldo, he wouldn't necessarily have the same personality is renowned. So that combination we've in the team wouldn't be wouldn't be identical. I would suggest that part of the greatest. So Cristiano Renaldo outside of the goals, the numbers that we see is that he's able rarely injure as seemingly always out this and that certainly. Not the case with Gareth male, and that's a big question. The question about Gareth Bill. It's not whether he has the talent. It's not whether he's an impactful player is whether he's going to be out there enough to even come close to putting up those numbers. And I think from what we have seen in recent history, the answer to that is no. This is just kind of in the sense that this is where you can really make them out because as one of the best players in the will hold on hold on is, you know, not not Madrid's aprio twenty one goals last year. Yeah, injury? Yeah, overhead kick the challenge league. No, I get that. How many, how many illegals them? What else did you do in the champions week? Run on saying is folks who Don, how many times when we're talking about five players and mbappe and neymar we haven't. We have a big Sean on, you're saying that we're expecting him to send last..
