"People still talking about the Hall of Fame coach from Oklahoma on Oklahoma's entrance to the SEC. We're not that long away from one of the biggest basketball games of the year in the conference. Tennessee hosting number one ranked Alabama Nate oats joins us yesterday, but we are going to talk about that in other things with Ashley Woods who has joined us often. Throughout the years in various roles in Tuscaloosa, formerly of the sports editor of the crimson white Ashley, thanks so much for joining us and before we get to the even the game tonight, congratulations. You're now the editor of the C and W and some historical significance being the first female person of color to be in that job. I know that's not what you're interested in now. You're interested in talking about the game, but we are very happy and thrilled with your continued success. Every time we talk to you, you're knocking down some other glass ceiling. Good afternoon. Good afternoon, Paul. Thank you for having me and thanks again. It's an honor and a privilege to be the first to serve in that position. And I can't wait to get started in May. I still have some work to do over at 1956, but I can't wait to get started in mayor at The CW. It seems like I just saw you. We were in Tuscaloosa for the ironborn I was joking with one of your colleagues that I think you have not broken the record. You've shattered the record in terms of the number of appearances on this program and it is just the beginning. But thank you for being here. And let's talk about the story of the moment. The number one ranked crimson tide. How is that playing on campus? The fact that you have the number one basketball team in the country. You know, there are very few people on campus that were around or even alive when Alabama was last ranked number one back in 2002, 2003. So everyone on campus is very excited, you know, a lot of people have talked about this is the house that the late great Cameron Luke ratliff has built and they're just super excited to now have the number one basketball team in the country in Tuscaloosa and they're just excited to see what this team can do come march. Yeah, I got the impression Ashley last night talking to Nate Oates that he's okay with it. It's part of the come to the territory, but he also knows he could all go down the drain tonight in an hour. But in terms of just student pride, being number one in football is old hat. What about being number one in basketball? Yeah, this is a new territory for Alvin fans in Alabama students because, like I said, hasn't happened in over 20 years. So it's very excited to other fans that students are very excited to see this basketball team kind of look up to the potential and the hype that came with oats is higher back in 2019 and with just the team that they built during the off season after the 2021 2022 season. Ashley, let's talk about some of the other movements on campus, two new coordinators, one for the third time. The other one, Tommy Reese, 30 years old, coming from Notre-Dame, that mixed reviews from callers, what is your constituencies having to say about it? Yeah, it's kind of mixed reviews on the student side. I think students are excited about what Tom Reese can bring to the offense. And they're also excited about what Kevin steel could potentially bring. Back to the Alabama defense, but a lot of them are just unsure at the moment because I think some people are still thinking about Pete golden and Bill O'Brien. So they're cautiously optimistic to wait to see what happens in the fall to see if they need to be excited. For what these new offensive coordinators could bring to the table, but me personally, I'm excited to see what both of these coordinators bring in the fall. They have a pretty stock of talent coming in the Tuscaloosa next fall. So I'm excited to see what they do with that. And Kevin Steele, a little more familiar, but still he was at auburn for a couple of years. He's been a lot of different places. He went to Tennessee. He never got on the field because Jeremy Pruitt was let go. Is there a feeling that he is the coach for a while or is he just holding the seat warm until Jeremy Pruitt gets out of NCAA jail? I am not sure if that's the sense student says have at the moment, I think people are just excited to see what these two bring to the team this year. And what happens down the line is what happens down the line. Talking to Ashley Woods, who will become the editor of the crimson white Ashley. Let's talk about that for a second because we've seen you over the years on campus and you're certainly an active and a very visible member of that student community, both in the publication side and with what you've been doing most recently. I realize the job doesn't start for a while, but you had to get the job. So you had to convince I'm sure some people about what your plans will be. What can you tell us about how you are going to lead a very important part of that university in terms of the interaction with the most important people, the students? Yeah, for sure. A good chunk of my plan is focusing on what I've done at 1956, which is diversifying student media. So amplifying voices that are not necessarily seen in student publications are just in publications in general and making sure that those voices, those stories, those experiences are told while also making sure that The CW maintains this responsibility to accurate, fair, and clear journalism, and that's kind of essentially what my plan is. I hope to implement the things that I've done at 1956 over at The CW because I do believe that the future of student media and publications in general relies and diversity of stories, voices, and people writing those stories. And actually, that's so important and interesting to hear because we're sports fans. We're not into the weeds of what young people are thinking and doing, but I know how passionate you are and having been on that campus and interacted with other students, especially in the communications department. It just seems that it is such a different place. I mean, that's obvious. We've seen the newsreel, but how would you describe that campus right now in terms of where your direction is and really where the school's direction is? The school is heading into this direction where it needs to come to terms with its issues of diversity from the past while also helping current and potentially perspective students in the future feel welcomed on campus and make sure that their voices are heard and I have a unique responsibility being the editor in chief over at 1956 and will beat the item in chief over at The CW. To kind of balance those two acts of balancing act of making sure those voices are heard, but also reporting on things that are important to campus and making sure that we do our due diligence as a publication. And as a group of journalists, storytellers, photographers and such. Well, actually, once again, congratulations. We look forward to many more visits. We're all thrilled for you over here. And we will look forward to seeing you very, very soon. Thank you for your time. We'll take a short break as we get ready for an evening of college basketball, Bama playing at 7 p.m. Eastern Time a couple other games about to begin.

"Back. Let's check in with Mark next in Mississippi. Hey Mark. Hey, bob. We're talking about Super Bowl. Yes, Bernard Mars. I've never seen anything like that before in my life. That was incredible. I agree with you. That was one of the best ever. Well, I would do yeah. I mean, John, John's certainly entitled to his opinion, even if it's wrong. That's correct. Well, having a good show today. Thank you very much. I mean, I think what you have to do, I mean, the Super Bowl has tried literally every act. I mean, I am a fan of 60s and 70s music. And I've seen some of the accident have come through the Super Bowl and I had my hand over my face going, well, can't they find somebody younger than this. I mean, there's such a thing as just because I mean, there are exceptions to that. I mean, Mick Jagger is 80 years old and he's still he's still doing the job. But some of those acts are very tired and just because John hasn't heard of Rihanna, doesn't mean she shouldn't play. She will, and I'm sure she will be fine. AJ is up next. A hello, AJ. Good afternoon, Paul. Thanks for taking my call. Thank you. Hi, I just wanted to commend you on how you did actually handle the call with John right there. I'm not real sure that he's changed his underwear. It's 75. I'm like, come on, Willie Nelson. Violent Jennings. Turning 90 in a couple of weeks. I mean, I've seen Willie Nelson, but I really don't care to see him anymore. Exactly. Well, it might be next we could dig up Elvis and give one more. No, I will tell you, I am sorry. Never did the Super Bowl in his prime, but unfortunately, his prime did not last much longer than when the Super Bowl started. Elvis could have done the Super Bowl. And I really don't think they ever considered him, but I really don't know, I'm trying to think of some other 85 or 90 year old acts we could get for John. Absolutely. Our up with people so around. Remember that group? I think they did the first Super Bowl. Maybe Oreos spade wagon. We'll call them. No, they're way too contemporary for this guy. Anyway, hi, I wanted to ask you about the guys that were calling in and they said, and their questions was in relation to what Mike's a good caller or quantifies a good caller. And to be honest with you. You're the one at Mike's a good caller. And I'm not trying to be a leg humper. I'm just, you know. Well, let me say this to AJ. But there are some calls. Now I thought John was a good caller. Why? Because he was so absurd that it was funny. So can you get a few jabs of sarcasm or there's no rhyme or reason, sometimes it just sometimes no matter what you do, it just doesn't work. Absolutely. Absolutely. You can't fix stupid sometimes part. You're right. One thing, my mind went blank anyway. I was going to ask you about. Anyway, I was trying to throw out would you say a bad call is when somebody calls in and their mind goes blank. I would say that and or if it was Jim Crow, Jordan, from Tuscaloosa, anytime he calls it is a terrible call. Okay, you say to yourself, well done, thank you for the call. I think Jim is going to like that though. Assuming he understands it. Bill is up next in Alabama, hello Bill. Hey, Paul Bill. How are you doing? Oh my goodness. How are you, Bill? I'm good. Have you been doing all this coach Brian stuff? I've tried to get in for a few days. Well, I'm glad you made it. In my opinion. Please. You know, my dad was writing a book on coach Brown. He started when he was 82. And then he quit about, I guess we got 85, 86. I think he felt like he might buy weight, some stories. But one of the interesting chapters was on integration. Okay. And I share with us. He even mentioned you, he said, you know, people call pal find bomb show and put that propaganda out that it had to do with Sam Cunningham and USC, which is so far from the trigger. And he said it had to do with the 66 team that when they lost it, he quoted Jimmy fuller. Saying that he apologized for them losing the national championship because they were all white. And then they had 5 black walk on players the next year. And then his biggest reasoning was the 1969 season. It is hatred for Tennessee. Tennessee had a player by the name of Jackie walker. And a black player linebacker and Tennessee beat Alabama that year, 41 to 14 and Jackie walker intercepted the pass and ran it back for a touchdown. And his premise was that that helped integration more than Sam Cunningham at any time. That was part of what he wrote in this what he was going to write in the book. Bill, I'm curious. How far did he did he get with this project? He got probably a half to three quarters. I actually had about finishing it and 40 years. But after all this, the last week I saw it again. Maybe I should finish it. There's still a pretty relevant everybody still knows. Thursday going, man. There's still a lot here that I think is really compelling about coach Bryant. Yeah. You know, at the funeral, I guess hashtagged alone with you and my dad, I got sports started their crimson white that year. And even then his last press conference, you know, I would have never got in there if it wasn't for him. And I thank my dad still might have that take somewhere. I was trying to look to the office the other day. I was like, he's probably still got that on. I've always told this show, Bill, that the day of his final game, coach Bryant invited some of his old friends to come down to his suite. And of course, you ended up going there as well. But the only reason I got there is that. I think Bill, your dad wants somebody to write it up. He had something else to do that day. I think he was going to go see coach Bryant later. You know, the funniest thing about that story is juni smothers is the one that wanted to have typed a picture at the end. And he goes, I can we get a picture and ask Billy barner to take that picture. And then Jim ended up in the very back of the picture, you can barely see him. With one of those old cameras and that's a great picture that I treasure. I'm sure. Yeah, no, I've got that. There's not many. There's not many people left in that picture or live. You know, the two of us were on the young end, I think or the two youngest in that picture. And it just ironic that 40 years is a long time, but I will never forget that hour as long as I live. I mean, as I'm sure you won't. Yeah, that was funny. Later his past, you know, I was working for Jimmy's mother and he'd become very close with Mary Harmon and when my dad would go down there and we built house a lot, he'd call out there and I remember one time he called and told Mary Harmon we were coming and she was like, can you go do our growth Mark grocery shopping for us? And a lot of times that the bowl game coach Brock didn't go, he'd call and get my dad to be Mary Harmon escort. But I went back and read the article the other day the night at coach Bryant announces retirement over the next story that came out the morning of. And in there, there was a quote I have in the article from Mary Harmon and as you told me that I remember how I got it because I'm pretty sure I don't remember where Bill was. Your dad, but I can guarantee you at that age, I did not have Paul Bryan's home phone number, but I know who did and it was your dad. You know, I've got his phone director here in his office and it's got home phone numbers for woody Hayes, turno. And I was like, I've started to call him one day and just say who answered his phone number used to belong to, but after he had passed Jamie and I went to basketball game and we went by the house to see Mary Harmon.

"We're going to war, baby. This is kind of nice and tall. I was told once you get in and out from Pete golden is, I guys got around. That's what I remember our assignments to tell both sides 15,000 old people while you run down field everybody remember your assignments now. Even they say it was so when we walked out of the tunnel at Tennessee, it was nobody bouncing. Nobody's singing like they usually are. They were just coming out like they was going to a picnic or something. No fire. Two way you need legend giving pregame speeches. It's hard to get voted in these guys. How important it is to wear the clips in their wife. No better honor in sports than aware of the Christian M white. They need me in the locker room, Paul. Or they need Scott Cochrane, but to put some fire in these guys and make them real. Georgia. Georgia. Yeah. He's in the Georgia locker room going crazy, Paul. He said, that's what Alabama likes, right there, is a good piece of the coordinator and the lead and giving free time speak. Told me that this morning, but I was laying in bed. You know I fire them up, you know I have to run somewhere down. You're out of Burma. Unmotivated 13 games a year. Ain't no such thing as unmotivated wearing a crimson white. Get the hell out of here. Now, Paul, I like to say this about Darrow and decay. You know, both of them guys are good callers. Wouldn't you agree? Yes, of course. And I appreciate that. I will tell you why, 'cause they've been bragging it, man. I mean, when Daryl talks about Alabama, he's a great collar. When JK talks about Alabama, he's a great collar. And it's so great to have somebody to really talent me, you know, Jim, I stopped being a talent, you know. He would start to uncompelling moron. He wasn't even a talent no more, you know. And Larry, we don't always have time Larry as bad when he's got somebody handcuffed in the back seat. So I found out who loses his last seriously they're so great competition finally on the fine by himself. But now let me bring a steel chair up in here and a shake in my back pocket and a knife in my shoe, all right? Let me tell you something, JK. I'll reach through the phone and grab you by the fake ass Tang. It's so cute. First in Gino toretta, Joe, the Spaniard two sugar module. How do you remember these morons getting off the plane in camouflage? How bad they were gonna be Alabama and they left an alternate. JK your name

"December in December of 2023. I'm currently waiting waiting for the football season. I'm the assistant sports editor at the crimson white. I'll actually be taking over as sports editor in about a month or so because my sports header Austin hannan, who I believe you've spoken to for he'll be graduating. I'm also interning at Bama central dot com where I'm also getting more experience covering other sports in the Alabama beat. I will be continuing with them whenever I graduate and I'm really excited to keep going. I know it's a little bit down the road, but I'm sure the folks who are footing the bill here are asking like, what's next for you? What would you like to do ultimately? I'd like to continue covering Alabama or anything, honestly, just continuing to be a sports journalism covering. That is my passion. I love being able to write and tell stories through the lens of sports. And so I plan to be continuing doing that with Bama central dot com. And Ashley, you moved on to the 1956 magazine. So I guess I don't need to ask you quite as specifically what you're going to do after the school paper, but what would you ultimately like to do with your career? Yeah, so I have about a year and a half left of college. So after I graduate, I do hope to get back while I haven't really left sports journalism, honestly. I do hope to continue covering sports, whether that's women's basketball football, whatever life may take me after graduation, but I would like to continue the work in sports journalism. Well, I say this all the time, but getting to know the young reporters, to me, is one of the absolute highlights of doing these shows on campus. It's so energizing. And what I take great pride in to say to both Blake and Ashley is that you two, I think back to my state that's the same point I was that you are now. I was clueless. I had no idea what I was going to do. And that showed in the first couple of years of my career. So I really do admire young people who have at least a part of the map planned out. Yes, sir. Congratulations to both of you. Thank you. Thank you. Great to have byler from the C and W and Ashley Woods making her 5th and by no means her final appearance. On the 5 bomb show, we'll be right back. Nobody protects you from mayhem like Allstate. I'm

"The pride passion and pageantry of college football lives here. This is the Paul finebaum show hour three podcast. We welcome you to the second half of the show. Appreciate all of you being here from guest star coming up Jeff David Evans in just a minute from the athletic let's check in now with John, who is in Athens. Hello, John. Hey, Paul. First of all, shout out to Keith Dunham. We're both from Athens. Alabama. He's gone on and done great things. We're proud of you. Oh, he's amazing. I was sports he really is. His whole family in broadcasting business as you probably know, he's a baby in the family. Sure. I was sports editor of the crimson white and the year that Kent Walter was injured. And cuts Brian had given Charlie Thornton and Kurt mcnair, some scholarships to hire guys like me who would go cover tennis matches golf matches, swim beats, and also work football games in the press box or the sideline. Keeping stats, et cetera. And on that fightful day, I think while it was probably hurt in the first half, because midway through the fourth quarter, mister Thornton said, John, you're going to have to go down and get coach softeners quotes after the game. They're sports information director has gone to UAB with Kent. And there was probably 19 years old and I can tell you it was the toughest thing I ever did. Jim schaffner, who had played quarterback, I think it takes Christian fighting the pros and come back to try and resurrect their program was one of the classiest guys you'd ever meet. And I walked in that dressing room and it was a hot day. It was steamy. Their players had all sat down on benches. Nobody had taken a single stitch of their uniforms off. Some of them were crying. It was just deathly quiet. And that man spoke he by then that can't have been seriously injured and he first of all, of course, complimented Alabama. And coach Brian and then talk some about Kent. And I didn't know for years later that often coach Bryant went back. I heard daily possibly the UAB and then the Spain rehab did his rehab. I do remember one day during the spring. We were having spring practice. And we look out down the hall and coach Brian is pushing in his wheelchair to the sports information office, where he was interviewed or pictures and I'm sure I sent out to the different media outlets. I know, obviously, just listen to these stories. But I know Kent went on to really, you know, outstanding life, he recovered, never complained, but the thing that impressed me is that many times was actually described, took a special personal interest in someone who had had something bad happen to him. Yeah, and obviously most of you can figure out what we're talking about. I can't Walter died this week. He was the player that was paralyzed and that unbelievable tragedy at legion field nearly 50 years ago and we are going to talk to our friend Keith about that. That's an incredible story. I can not imagine as a young person doing what you did that day. Well, it was really, I mean, I couldn't even talk. I couldn't ask a question. I don't know that any of the few reporters that made it to that dressing room could do anything, but hang their heads and write down what comments to coach made in the, but what a great life had he never complained from what I understand never looked back. Never regretted any place football. Keith knew him far better, and that's one reason we wanted to talk. Thank you, John for sharing that story. I felt fortunate to have caught the end of coach Bryant, but to have been at the school paper during that period. I had to be really special. It really was, I got to as part of the sports information job, I got his quotes after practice Monday Tuesday Wednesday for three years because Charlie and Kirk left at 5 and they might not finish practice till 8. Right. And I beg I'll tell you one quick other story. Watch the TV show. Back in those days, they might be one or two games on TV. So if you didn't have tickets, the only way you got to see auburn or Alabama was to watch coach Brown show or coach Jersey shell on Sunday afternoon. So I begged mister Thornton, I said, hey, let me just tag along. I'll just sit in the back of the studio, just love to watch that. Because I was thinking about broadcast journalism as a career. It's business. That's not playing around. Busy. So finally, one Saturday night after game, he said, okay, John, you can go tomorrow. And I said, great, what time do I need to be at the coliseum? He said 5 30. My simple the show's at four. He said 5 30 in the morning. He said, we found that thing early in the morning. So it goes back and get back and get started on the next game plan. I said, mister Thorne, I don't believe I want to go. You're going. So we head up the interstate. I'm sitting on kiss Bryant. He's sitting at his driver and Charles Thornton is sitting on the back seat beside me. And I look back and see a blue light coming up behind us. And we're doing probably a hundred miles an hour up the interstate and I said, coach. Leave us a steak tripper behind us. He never turned around. He simply took his checkered head off, handed it back to him and said, son, put this in the back window, and I did and the truth returned around and went across the medium with that Cortes policy. What a great story. That is fantastic. Well, thanks for taking my call in my best. All right, thank you. Let's talk again. Thanks, John. Really appreciate that. How cool was that? We go from John to Jeff in Columbus, Ohio. What's going on, Paul? Jeff, what's up? Hey, it sounds like it's radio only today, huh? Back to the good old days, Jeff, where this show is a real show. That's right. Hey, I heard your boy buddy Martin on there. Hell he was on there for about a half hour, so it made me start to think that you're not on TV today. All the ESPN suits that seem to run the show anymore. They'd have no idea if you'd get your boy Brando and Danny share it on. Once you get them on today. Hey, we may have them on tomorrow. We got one more show of this. So it's a good idea. They're not paying attention to this. No. If you're not on TV, the ESPN suits the modern of a show. They don't care. I mean, I'm wondering, does David even moderate the show anymore? Nah, he knows it's in the bag. I mean, come on, ball. I mean, I think are you running trying to run saving off these days? Why would I want to do that? I don't know. I'm wondering because you've been awfully critical of him for talking about making excuses or whatever you're saying about the guys. So in the players, I'm the boss. Hey, I want you to rise and you were taking that road. I just tell the truth here, Jeff, you know that. Yeah, proud of you. But I just feel I hear you today. I'm just thinking that something must have happened. Maybe Paul is running this boy saving off. I.

"Is morning edition from NPR news I mean Martinez And I'm Rachel Martin college football bragging rights in the Deep South are at stake tonight And fans everywhere will be watching as the Alabama crimson tide and the Georgia bulldogs play one more time for the national championship Bama fans are hoping for a repeat of their last matchup Right young drops Plenty of time airing it out Man's there Jameson Williams touchdown Ben puts the brakes on and threw an interception There's the mistake Georgia didn't need Nice young touchdown Alabama Nightmares for Georgia fans In last month's SEC championship game Alabama and their Heisman winning quarterback Bryce young handed the bulldogs their first and so far only loss of the season tonight the rematch I mean Georgia has absolutely steamrolled all but one of its opponents this year I think this Georgia team is really looking for revenge against Alabama this year That's Kathryn Lewis She's the assistant sports editor for George's school newspaper the red and black but she admits that recent history has not been kind to the bulldogs Alabama has honestly been dominant over Georgia the past few years The last time Georgia B Alabama was in 2007 so I think Alabama fans don't tend to see it as a rivalry But good news for Georgia fans their team is actually favored to stop the tide in tonight's game making it thus far making it this far is just what Alabama does This is the school's 6th appearance at the championship game the last 7 seasons but clearly they still have some doubters Ashley Woods is the sports editor for the crimson white she says that the Alabama players have enjoyed their newfound status as the underdog We're just embracing that people are doubting us and that it's because they're embracing that new identity you know and it's not really necessary new I guess it's like unfamiliar for people in the Nick Saban era He is Alabama's extremely successful head coach This will be should Alabama win Nick 7 7th title But wood says this year hasn't been particularly easy for the crimson tide A very very interesting season as far as place kind of been up and down at least two like the Alabama standard So whether the tide rolls or the dog sick them one thing is for certain bus loads of students will make their way to Lucas oil stadium in Indianapolis for tonight's game Katherine Lewis says her school is expecting lots of empty seats on the first day of classes for the start of the spring semester We'll be interesting to see what class attendance is like on Monday and Tuesday I'm not really sure how that's going to go But in the meantime I think Georgia students are really going to be cheering on in Indianapolis and also in Athens Stay safe fans 60 years after the first film version director Steven Spielberg has reimagined the legendary musical west side story And pair special correspondent Susan stamberg asked the film's choreographer about working with Spielberg and taking on the iconic dances of Jerome Robbins How dare they Spielberg screenwriter Tony Kushner How dare they tinker with such a classic They both approached this with a sense of reverence and admiration for the original material So did he choreographer Justin peck even on tough days in a 100° on killer hot New York City streets the dancers and crew of west side story performed on broiling cement concrete bricks stairs peck says everybody pushed along together in sweaty chaos I remember Steven turning to me at one point and saying there's nowhere else I'd rather be than here right now working on this.

"Pyramid is shaped like a hot dog. Wherever yard gained is a yard worth celebrating and every celebration is beyond excessive. With ice cold, Dr Pepper. Return to glory this season with fans Bill by Dr Pepper. Grab some today. Welcome back, and we are live in Tuscaloosa. I forgot where we were for a second. I'm so cold. Austin Hannah is with us with the crimson white. He's the only student reporter. I know that brought his own fan club here. That's pretty impressive. Austin, thanks for good to see you again. That's probably a couple months ago we were down here talking to some students. And I know you cover a lot of things, including basketball and NATO, this team is about to take on Oakland. But let's talk about this weekend. Not so much the game, but just a vibe of this campus. We were just talking to Aaron subtlest a minute ago, and it feels different here. Even when we were up here, I think for the old miss game, it was pre a and M, what's it like on this campus since Alabama is a little more vulnerable? Well, it was different for the first time losing to an unranked team like that. And then after that, with the yellow shoe game, I mean, that really set everybody off. I mean, an LSU team that's been struggling all year, even last year. It was coach. Came in here and I mean, they were what 40 yards away from winning that football game. Yeah. Big stop by the defense, obviously there. But yeah, it's just been weird last week, New Mexico state came in. Crowd wasn't great, which is not what you want to see, but it was a comfortable win. I think that kind of brings the hope back together for the fans and tomorrow tomorrow yeah, it will be a test for sure. I mean, I'm not used to seeing Alabama fans wondering there's just been this confidence level under Nick Saban for 15 years and we have our Arkansas tomorrow and auburn and then that Georgia game. I don't want to get too deep too far ahead Austin, but is this campus prepared to not be in the college football playoff? I don't think they're there yet. I think just with the history of Howard Georgia and Kirby smart and obviously Jimbo Fisher tainted savings undefeated records assistance. But there's this feel that there's a new dog in town, no pun intended with Georgia, but they're just a really solid, and I think it has a lot of people worried, but I think real Alabama fans know that this team at its best can absolutely beat Georgia in Atlanta. Okay, that's the Alabama that I grew up with. How about that for the confidence? I like that. Saving may have you speaking to the team tomorrow at the rate you're going awesome. Aaron subtle said something else a minute ago. He said that 6 weeks ago the criticism was of pea golden. Now it's switched. The game did O'Brien, no favors with some of his play selection. And what are you hearing from campus people? Same thing. I mean, I think it's both ends of the ball. Last year was more repeat Golding thing or as I think it's like you said switch to O'Brien now. That game was just weird. I mean, you had multiple opportunities at the goal line when we're trying to throw the ball. That's something we've never seen from Alabama, especially with the talent you got on the offensive line. And we've got plenty enough guys to go in there and block for Brian Robinson to get one yard. You got three places to get it and you try to throw the ball, you get stopped and won that game. And then, of course, the all shoe game just couldn't get anything going. I mean, it was just scoring 20 points on a defense that really isn't as good as it should be with a lot of I mean they had what 7 starters missing that game too, I think. From the beginning of the season about that game because I.
