"Watch this past week. You know they make a big deal about talking about the mole on right shoulder right. That's that's the way to distinguish her from nisa but that never gets really brought in play. No it doesn't it. Just kinda gets swept under the rug. Like oh okay. Yeah is just so that he can say well. I know how the tell them apart but she didn't have to tell them apart because they never came up right. It's almost like checkoffs mall in a lotta ways. So this story. Obviously it was directed by ron jones starring. Of course. Peter davison is the fifth doctor janet fielding tico danka sarah sutton as highly mentioned in the dual role this time as truck and and and talbot the fiance of lord charles cranleigh and matthew waterhouse as attrac- so obviously this is the episode right before earth shock. It's probably a good thing. He ate as much food as he did because he gets killed off in the next story so poor attic. Yeah so guest cast this time we have michael cochran as lord charles cranley though relation turns up later in the silvester mccoy era story as redford's fenn cooper in ghost light which vince proud. I talked not that long ago here on. The podcast also played gatt in a sixth doctor. Finish audio brotherhood of the dialects. Llosa play lieutenant colonel brooke in another big finish audio for the seventh doctor era no-man's-land and he was also in the nineteen ninety-seven movie version of the saint as the one with the okay and he was also recently on the crown. An played reverend travis on downton abbey which i find kind of amusing because this story. The strange way actually reminds me a little bit of like what if what if dr who did it. Down abbey story. It would be probably right right or the unicorn and the wasp perhaps but Yeah right but i just think that it was kind of interesting that he actually turned up down. Abby murray plays lady match cranley neither the one who decides on. Just throw the doctor under the bus for my son. Georgia's murders thanks. Thanks lady cranleigh. She notable for the one reason i thought was interesting. Was that she was in the nineteen seventy two movie version of tales from the crypt. So there was actually a movie version. That came out like a decade or so before the tv show. That was hbo. I did not know that a lot of people do because it's because these were both were based on the comes. Company called ec comics which published tells the crip comics back in the fifties. But yeah they actually did a movie version before the tv show. So if you're a fan of tales from the crypt might when it's track that down if you're not already aware of it. I guess we had more watson. Plays her robert muir without a pretty interesting character especially when he's flirting with teagan. A little bit gareth milne played george cranleigh and he was a mortuary attendant in vengeance on varos from the colin baker aaron and he was in the james bond film for your eyes only so we have another james bond connection to doctor who but notably. "Had the balls. Glad of the boat, Billy Cunningham, let's you and I talk about Dr Anthony Fauci and Covid 19. The after action reports are now coming in mainly by the media a little bit by government. The governments involved in this so they don't not going to bring you hard, cruel. Factual, objective information. And Dr Anthony Fauci has been put up by the media as the paragon of virtue. He is impervious. He's the counterbalance to Donald J. Trump. He's believable. This is the guy we're trusting and all of our faith in despite the fact that Fauci gave interviews in January and February of this year after Biden had taken office that he cannot think of one serious recommendation that he made to the president Trump that was not adopted. So the media wanted to act as if Fauci was on his own, and that Trump was a wild card when in reality, Fauci has said that there wasn't one serious recommendation I didn't make that was not adopted. By Deborah Berks. And by the president himself and by Mike Pence headed the commission. However. There's some takeaways that the record is quite clear that there was a gross overreaction. The Covid 19 going back 15 to 16 months ago. And now we know that because we have the results in Whether you're from California, with a total shutdown. Or Florida with no shutdown or Ohio kind of in between, no matter what it was. Government action got about the same result. If you go to real clear politics dot com and scroll all the way down. They have a great list of the response of all states, all 50 states. According to Obama, maybe all 56 states but all 50 states and what they charge as to how each they did. And they kept that chart going in the updated every day for the past 15 months, and I checked in Whether you were California. Total lockdown. Shut down. The businesses destroy small businesses, especially or whether you weren't Florida or Texas, which was largely kept open. The numbers about 16, or 1700 deaths per one million and all those states including Ohio and Kentucky, Indiana was a little bit higher at 2000 per one million. But in India in Indiana by itself, But take Ohio Kentucky, Florida taxes California very similar about 1700 deaths per one million and over 80 85% of those deaths. Or above the age of 65, or immune, suppressed or morbidly obese or underlying conditions. So the general population was not a great risk of a horrible result with covid 19 as my evidence of that I sent her with you in March, April May and June, and every day was the same topic with the same experts because it was panic City. And you may recall that the hospitals were emptied out as much as could be possible and greater Cincinnati northern Kentucky from ST Anne's to Christ to try health emptied out to get ready for the influx of Covid 19 patients Now they were coming. And you might recall that John Cranley had him on two or three days in a row, preparing the Duke Energy Center for the overflow from the hospitals. The available hospital beds and greater Cincinnati was about 4500. Hospital beds. They were ready to go and they were waiting. ER personnel were at the door ready for the ambulances to come in order to fill up the hospitals. Then the overflow was going to be At the Duke Energy Center. We head on Governor Mike DeWine repeatedly you might recall the National Guard was called out in order to transport more sick persons to the hospital. So we're ready in March, April and may. Can you recall any story? By us or by 59 12 or the inquire run at the time that the hospitals are now packed that it's overwhelmed. Can you recall one start? The answer is no because it didn't happen. And you also may recall that I had I had on respiratory nurses, respiratory therapist I had on medical doctors head on individuals who worked in and around ers and saying We're empty. We don't have it. In fact, we're laying people off. At the height of the pandemic. The major hospitals in Cincinnati. We're laying people off. How is that possible? March, April and may Because of the media coverage and the politicians that we cover. There was such a feeling we're all going to die. Hunker down. Stay in your basement. Don't go to work. That, uh At the hospitals while that was going on, continue to say we're building up field Unit, a mass unit at Duke Energy Center getting ready. None of it happened. In fact, they laid off medical personnel. During the heights of a pandemic, which is impossible. Both cannot be true. Either You have a pandemic, and there's tens of thousands sick or you don't have a pandemic. In which case you lay people off. The entire hospital system was broken down in this town, losing millions of dollars every month, laying people off. How is that possible in the middle of a pandemic? If it was that serious answer was it wasn't that serious and who knew well? Now we have emails. Under the FOIA request. So Dr Anthony Fauci and to the FDA and the department, he handled the infectious disease and he was the top exports supposedly in the country involving, among other things, on page 22, 12 and 22 13. Of emails from Dr Michael Bets to Anthony Fauci and the dates important March 14th 2020. This was just beginning the efforts of saying we've got a crisis. Bet sends this email the Fauci Dr Fauci. I'm going to convey an idea. I had relative to Covid 19..

That it turned into a beautiful park for the neighborhood knew Greenway. New Gateway, really to the West Side, and the city of leaders who were there for the grand opening, said the next big project that they want to get done is replacement of the Western Hills violent so just at the end of the Lich run Greenway Would be the viaduct, which connects people to the interstate 75 or into Clifton. That is the next priority is the 300 plus million dollar Project, City says is close to working with the county to securing funding. They're waiting on word for two grants this summer that they think could end up giving them the cash that they need. Move forward with replacement of that bridge that is almost 100 years old. The plans call for a brand new bridge just to the West right. It would be one deck and not Ah, upper and lower deck with eight lanes of traffic, plus bike lanes across it and Mary Cranley yesterday seven Thing that he finds most appealing about all of this work is that it'll connect that bike trail that they have. You know, they've got going east Lawson one back to the West. That will really, I mean from little Miami all the way. You know the lunk in down the river. And then this could connect into Central Parkway because you could have ah, pathway to the west side across the violet and on east Good times coming up our news and 15 minutes. "I think it's I think it's a good thing way to your point. We haven't done as much of that recently, but A Z Democrats and given the diversity of our bench in terms of both experience and what parts of the state they're from, I think it gives us the chances as Democrats to register new voters toe You know, have a have a dialogue about, you know, different policy positions and actually get what people engaged in the process of otherwise wouldn't be. So you know the arguments. Around wanting to spend you want to save money and wanting to, you know, not have Democrats attacking each other. I get those arguments. I think these primaries they're gonna be ones where they're actually going to be a contest of ideas and not become personal and overly negative. Not with that security was talking about at Jared cameras, which is your Twitter feed. Jared cameras, River Town Strategies principle here, based here in Cincinnati. Um, let's switch over Another huge race and 2022 the Ohio governor's race. Mike DeWine, the incumbent. Well, actually, you know what? Real quick I want to ask you stick on that Senate race. You know, Amy, acting's name becomes it was bin Thrown out there. What? Just just and I know I know you do work for different people in all that. But when you heard Amy acting's name, Azad potential candidate what? You know what with your mind. The honorable surprised, you know, obviously, it's uh in the spring, you know, there were people that were speculating that she may 1 day run for office. But then Yeah, but you kind of suddenly resigned her post over the summer and had really been heard from since. I think most people thought that that wasn't going to come to fruition on. I don't think she'd been very visible since she resigned her post and director Department of Health so I was surprised. There are a lot of good kids who have already been tested. Right running and winning elections. Um, better going to run our thinking seriously about running. So, you know, look, I think Right now. Ohio Democrats are having opportunity to take a step back and, you know, rethink. You know what makes a good candidate for statewide office and You know, she she choose that their name and I think that's you know, that's great, the more than marry her, but think Usually for for a big federal race, you guys state Senate race. You know, candidates that have been through the Gotland a couple of times before, usually gonna have an advantage, both the primary in general. I think I think that's really I don't think I know it's a very fair assessment of this and you on the flip side. On the other side, there's Jane Timken, as sort of emerging is It appears to be really kind of leading candidate on the Republican side, or at least you know, there's gonna be a primary over there as well. You know, I was thinking about Amy acting and Jane Timken. Neither have been in elected office for neither have run for, you know, public office before. The difference Being I think is that Jane Temkin has been in the trenches of campaigns. Her work obviously is the The party chair on the Republican side. She came out of the Starr County Republican Party did a lot of work was I think the vice chair for that party for several years and so you know the difference again? No. Neither one would have a record if they did face each other. But, you know, Temkin has a lot of experience in politics and political campaigns. Just not running her own campaign. So I think that, um Maybe apart. There's something to be said for that, right? I mean that. In terms of never running a campaign before. That's a that's a pretty big step. To go to U. S Senate when you've never really, really been all that evolved in politics, right? We will yet, uh, the other thing, too, that I think James Simpson would faces. You don't see a lot of people go from a purely partisan job to the United States Senate. Unlike the house, Uh, there is a twist some remaining um you know, kind of aura, a mystique around the Senate that People are interested in finding, you know, pure statement. You know a lot of Republicans vote for shared Brown. Despite him being relatively liberal on Democrats for Rob Portman, you don't see a lot of folks who are in the United States Senate. You had previously served it overtly political positions. And by that, I mean, you know, state party chairs, County Party chairs, National party chairs. It's just there. You have a better opportunity than we've been running for. Governor or murder. You know, Congress To cut a more bipartisan profile, and I think Yeah, tempting offers a lot of strength in the candidate. But I think you know, certainly be very difficult for her to show herself of being above the political fray when she's been the head of the Republican Party the last several years. Great stuff talking with Jared cameras. He's at Jared cameras. On Twitter. He's the principal of river Town Strategies right here in Cincinnati Democratic Consulting Strategy firm. What's Ah! Let's look swell little sock a little about the governor's race. You do work for John Cranley. He comes out what yesterday a couple days ago and says he's raised $500,000. As he continues to explore. Running for for the for the governor's race. When, when, when Canada says they're exploring it, they raised $500,000. I think that's really impressive number. What At? What point does does it go from exploring to running like what is the what's kind of the deciding factor? I'm not sure it's one factor E think it's some point. You know, Candidate just get the sense that says OK, you know I can do this. You can pull this off. Raising money is a big piece of it. You want to be able to show both to yourself but also toe you know other statewide leaders and shake orders an activist that your Bible but then you know Ohio especially. It's a big state with a lot of different big cities that they can kind of be their own worlds that you have to tap into. And We have to spend a lot of time, uh, introducing yourself to folks and Canton, Akron, Youngstown in Toledo and, um You know, actually trying to build those relationships and a real inauthentic way And since you know it's hard to do that in person these days, you know, a longer exploratory phase is kind necessary. Oh, put those pieces in place and see if there's a good fit. So is is that Does the pandemic has that made this a longer exploratory phase for John Cranley or or really, probably for anyone. Is that basically extending that out. I think so, Uh, for for a couple reasons, and I think couple are obviously a couple aren't so obvious for one Mayor Cranley started this exploratory phase. Um About a year ago. I think in April April of 20 There. Thereabouts And you know, he's the mayor of a big city when the pandemic struck, you know he had. Yeah. Devote all of his attention and then some, too actually. You know, dealing with getting testing up and running and the effect on the city's budget, and obviously there was no time for politics for a long time there, So yeah, that's that. The lady exploratory process a little bit and, um Yeah, delayed the fundraising process a little bit as well. So you know, I'm on the flip side, you know, given that given the relationships that democratic leaders need to build all across the state Not being able to get in your car. Go. You know Toledo and Cleveland and actor and young sounding Angeles Vito's folks, You know, it's just It's just a little bit harder. There's another kind of barrier. Really earning support. And seeing if you know the message that you have, the experience you bring is You know if it's wanted that there's an appetite board around the state and speaking of John Cranley, he will be term limited out as the mayor of the city, Cincinnati the end of this year. I guess in the numero be sworn in right at the turn of the new year. Let's bring it back home here just Cincinnati and got a mayor's race issue. We keep talking about 2022, obviously, with the Portman News, but right here at home, huge race, the open mayor seat It's several. I mean, really. There's a lot of opportunity there on the Cincinnati City Council. But the mayor's race, um Jared. I would just looked at a list on since ST dot com. There could potentially be 12 people. I don't think it although it may be that, but potentially up to 12 people running in this primary..

"This is 700 wlw Mike Nawrocki from CPS boarders on just a few minutes ago in talking about what the startup is gonna look like so to bring you up to speed here. They're going to start vaccinating. Employees of Cincinnati public starting on Thursday, starting this week. And that is up from February 6. So the district has seven places. You have been sent instructions. And so the first group is teachers and paraprofessionals and preschool kindergarten grades one through three classrooms. Um And then all the way to great 12, actually, so Nah paid service providers, custodians, building engineers, and they'll move on to keep groupie after that, Which is you know, after that, it's administrators and like, so that's a good news. You're gonna get the shots corner Mike Meara ski, though and as we debate about Walnut Hill High school in particular, because that seems to be a problem as the It's difficult to socially distance here because the classrooms are extremely small and very, very tight. One of the things, he said, as well. We can cut it to 3 ft. And have school twice a week in the blood and model when, well when, indeed we do that. Week after next So, Yeah, that's all well and good, But looking at the data it says that 3 Ft is recommended in medical settings where you can have face protection and respirators. Possibly. I don't think you're gonna have that in school. So are we just doing that to go T to get everyone back to work here? I don't understand. Furthermore, too. That was really, really interesting. That I said, Okay. Where he said. You know, we're about a year in here. Do we have a year of data? Um and said there's no appreciable difference in data year two years. First test scores go because that's how we measure. How are students are doing now? I think there's a big asterisk next to that right, because, well, let's keep in mind that school was shut down for a while. And did we factor in that teachers? Maybe. Ah lot less tough, grating simply because of the circumstances. And I would out of the third element there and having some friends whose kids do this is it's rather easy to cheat when you're when someone's not in the classroom with you because you have access to Other computers, data phone stuff like that, and you can also group texts because they can't pay attention to that, and it makes you smarter than you really are. It's easier to cheat. That's what I'm saying. And as long as students of going to school kids I've been trying to cheat. So you have those three factors there. And and But you know if the data says now yeah, they look, they look like we're doing really fine. Doesn't that undermine Theo education processes. It is, while the schools and the bussing and because that's the biggest expense, right we're sending kids on Busses and what You could stay home a few days a week. Or go to a setting where it's you know you're under one roof and remotely learning because there's a challenge here for working parents. Okay, Where do I do with the kids? Like it or not. Part of this thing is government subsidized daycare for us. It's great to get the kids out of your house. It's a real pain in the butt to have your kids here on the kitchen table. And you know you're not a teacher. I'm not a teacher. And not only that we have a parent kid relationship, which often is toxic. Because of the nature of adolescence and like And so you almost need a third independent party there. There's this setup but a different learning center model to in the future, But it's kind of I think it's a Pandora's box. He probably didn't intend to get into anyway. Your thoughts on all this at 513749 7000. They don't have big one and impound 718 t free call for you in Montgomery, Jimmy on the Scots bloke. Oh, Good morning, Scott. How are you? I'm fine. I'm fine. I think you know, I'm not trying to put words in Mike Meara skis mouth. But man, there's a lot said they're specifically with the with the test scores not changing much year to year. Yes. So I am one. I'm super disappointed in what the city's GPS schools have been doing to those Children, those families and it's just awful. I agree fully with Mayor Cranley. It's a couple of things that he said in there. One is simply not true. And one he's sort of stretched the truth. We're here where we've he stretched. The truth is You have something like what to the grades were quite at the school system, and his response was well, that's really down too far in the weeds for me to know. But what I've heard sort of second hand is they're about the same. Yeah. Whether they are about thing where the urn magazine. It doesn't seem like that should be below the weeds for him. The thing that he said, Well, let me interject before you get get your other point, and you're absolutely right. And that is well. Okay. We don't know yet. Well, we have. It's real time, right? If I if my kid takes a test and gets an a or gets enough that's reported directly to the teacher. We have access to their data and certainly over the course of the year with school report cards and mandatory state reporting. Yeah, We're going to start pretty soon now and are quite exactly your Yeah, because only January 26, But you know, within a couple months, we're going to start getting some of that hard data back and we're gonna learn rather quickly how this whole thing's worked. That's exactly right. So for him to save it, he doesn't know. It seems to me that But if he really doesn't know, then that's the feeling of him and the school board for not being aware it just it just doesn't seem possible. And then the second thing is you talk about the fact that their state testing scores that those have been really put on hold off. That is an absolute All through the state testing for map and air testing and all those sorts of things they've gone exactly as planned because they're mandated by state law. And protests are, uh, grated very quickly because they're done. Elektronik Lee and I could tell you that the schools that my kids are involved in Administrators, and we do probably 80% of the kids and my kids holder Shakaar base to base and they have seen a drop in those tainted box scores, and I've heard that from other I've heard that from other districts, and that's why I'm wondering why. CPS would at this point b be the exception rather than the rule and pretending that they're not happening..
