"Let's talk some baseball big news from the last 24 hours, I guess officially a little less than that. But at this time yesterday we were talking about how Schwarber not being on the Cubs this coming year. They said no to his $8 million estimated salary and is, Judd said. They could. Still they keep the door open. But tell me how that works. Like Kyle would then come back for Significantly last cause you're not going to not offer him. Which would be what about eight million. Is that what you said? They could have had a one year eight million. You could keep him. See if he's good. See if he could help you, then trade him. Maybe it the deadline. So what do you know? Offering seven million. Are you really gonna make that I mean, like if he was willing to take half He's not gonna be willing to take half because there'll be someone out there willing to pay him that one like their teams, letting guys go who are making $123 million to like? This isn't just $8 million players getting like what I see Also, that while there was the list of players that were not tendered is that that's a deadline and it's come and gone right, right? Yes, and there were significantly fewer people. What was their total of like 56 or 58? It wasn't a bloodletting. No lot of would be was marginally higher than like last year. And it was not the bloodletting that everyone thought it was going to be if I'm not mistaken. Which is odd. I expected it to be. Let's see. That's why who was it yesterday? Or was it greenie? That said it to you guys That said, Yeah, we're in hard financial times. But billionaires are making money. True. Millionaires are making money. So while everyone else is suffering financial hard times a lot of these guys, they're still making their money. They may be losing money on this one thing. On their sports franchises. But very few of them are on Lee owners of a team. Yeah, I Abdullah to that notion. I forget Which team I want to say the Braves someone was tweeting out like You know, even despite not having anyone come into their stadium in the last year, Like over the last few years, the Braves are up like $100 million or something like that. Profit. And, Yeah, I get it. The Cubs What? They're not liquid wattles that how you would put it that a lot? Yeah, they're probably right now. Their cash flows strapped. I mean, they probably owe about a billion dollars. It probably have No debt service of about a billion dollars. Isn't that what Crane Kenney or one of the guys up there said, But as soon as they pay off this, the renovations and and people get back in the state, and in the long term, they're going to make millions upon millions for them. I would think it's cash flow because not only do you have to pay the billion back, but you're also paying interest on it. Yeah. So you know, the cash registers have to ring for you to continue to pay the service on all of that debt. Yeah, so I I saw this. I was surprised because I mentioned this yesterday we had in passing someone said Hey, with the Sox be interested. Or maybe while you said hey, is he going to the South side? And I already thought that the Sox had enough Kyle Schwarber type players where there d h type players or outfielders and you know me. I've always supported Schwarber a Schwarber's got a good arm, and I think Schwarber has worked himself in. Do Maybe an average outfielder. You know he's not terrible in the outfield, but he's not good. He's still not good. He's got a really good arm does have a good arm what he's averaged. I don't say that. That's a Generously accurate statement. But I have been surprised from Chuck are fine toe guff who works with cap and loves his white Saxon, NBC. That there have been war. Sox fans talking about the possibility because they're looking for left handed power short 40 Schwarber in right field. I think Carmen even talked about it a bit today. Yeah, I would find that to be I don't know. Maybe it is something they would look at. So they never used to Malloy and laughed and you're gonna push warble and right. I don't think you can do that. I don't think that's fair to your pitching staff. I think he could hit 45 home runs there. He had 36 or 38 on the North side a couple of years ago. I don't think to me he's you know, I mean, and I know that's not something he wanted to Kind of settle in and the role but he's a d H isn't is any kind of a classic D h right. A guy who could or could you know, split time? You know, right? He could play you the field. But again, you could take him off his feet and and playing it at designated here. The problem is is they already have so his loyal left fielder or a D H a Braves Getting older. Is he going to d H some now, too? And then you've got going on. You've got born coming up. So that what are you gonna What about granddaughter? You're gonna have someone else catch are you know what I mean? Is James McCann gone? Yes, McCann keeping him so There's a lot I already feel like they've got so many moving parts for the designated hair position. So are you going to play? House Warbird 140 games in right field. Can't imagine you can do that. Defensively, that surprise especially when your other weaknesses role. I mean not weakness, but where you need Ada's You're pitching staff. You need to be more solid defensively in your outfield, Right? Plus loose. Robert is really good and center. He can't make up ground for both sides. Apple known apple. Yes. So you like you can't you can't have it like like that's where to me. Alloy is still okay even though he makes Bad plays in the field like you could kind of justify a little bit because you're like, Well, Robert will get over there and handle some of that. You just don't want a lawyer to get hurt. Right and listen easily bad where's almost should be in the field either. So, yeah, I'm saying like, I mean, there were times last year where you had to take. I mean, in difficult situations. You have to remove him for a defensive replacement. Late in games. You have to which then sucks. Because then you're taking his bad out of the lineup. If you don't shifting to the D A. That's why this whole conversation to me doesn't make a whole lot of side. You've got someone like that. Right. That's why it shocked me, Chris. It shocked me because I thought me too. No way. That's the last type of player they need. They need in athletic right fielder who could hit on and just grow with the team got another guy doesn't have to be a masher. But somebody that can defensively hold his own like they're gonna have to like up my hope would be that they're going to spend all of their resource is on their rotation. Heard the guys talking about this earlier today, like Call the Cubs and ask them what it would take to get Yu Darvish from them If I'm the white stuff. Well, why would you want to give up something for Darvish when you could just go out and you know you can't place? I would rather just go trying to get somebody try. Go get Trevor Bauer. If you want Yu Darvish. Okay, Same on just sign them and then don't worry about Don't worry about giving a prospect. Well, if you can, if you can get guys in Darvish is got what? Two years left on his deal. If you I want to say three, right 25 year, he's been with the Cubs for three, right? How many? How much is Trevor Bauer going to cost you? It depends, and that's going to be a really interesting contract with land. Starfish will be a free agent in 2024. Yes, three more years. Three more years like that's something that you would be. Depending on what you can do in free agency. That's something I would at least consider if I was a White Sox fan. So I pulled the question. It's brought to you by your local Chicago and Toyota dealers. Should the White Sox sign Kyle Schwarber and it is basically split. We've had nearly 3000 votes. "I think that the pieces of the world of lad juniors, these guys these guys with flair That swing three own hit a Grand slam. They need to be marketing I I think they will. I think baseball's turning a corner in that respect. Jessie today doubleheader seven inning doubleheaders. I like 17 doubleheaders. I hope they continue that we look. Rizzo was on what a year ago in Yusa ran with it, And he said, You guys got me in trouble when he said we played too many games, I said, it's going to cost you money, kid. They're not gonna let you have the same salary if you cut the season down, whatever he said 140 whatever games Give me doubleheaders on every Sunday that are seven innings and make him 30 minutes in between, like results because that was a piece of cake. Don't give me the 12, 05 and 705 and I got to stay at the ballpark. All freaking day and night. Do you like these double headers? And do you think the Cardinals are a team That's in a good place right now, Or are they a team that's going to really struggle because of the two weeks off and the lack of Lengthened out pitching. Yeah, no, Those are good questions about the cardinalsfirst while Jack clarity's throwing today for the first time since opening day, So how sharp is he going to be? Maybe he will be short. Maybe the arm strength is going to be there because he hasn't pitched. So, but you know you would expect himto have some issues, maybe early in the game. Let's put it that way. What's interesting? Think about all these teams. Suze is hurt Brian certain There's a lot of baseball injuries. The Cardinals don't have baseball injuries yet. If Kobe injuries they don't have baseball injury, So they're actually playing on some adrenaline with with, you know a full strength in some respect, Obviously not not with without ya out here without a young. My point is, I think the Cardinals are OK right now. It will catch up with him. I think all these double header is going to catch up with them. The baseball injury is going to start up, but you've got to give the Cardinals credit. They came out of the box after this after the shutdown. And they played good baseball look seven inning doubleheaders next year on a Sunday. It's not a bad thought. It's not a bad thought. I don't know if they're going to intrinsically change the game, though. That's really change the game. I agree with you that back to back, But doubleheaders should be the way that all teams go. But Rizzo will get in trouble with Tom Ricketts and Crane Kenney for saying that right because the split doubleheaders Are all about the ticket prices. Yeah, without the gate like this year, playing back to back have the Portillo's hot dog in between. It's great, So I'm with you. I think it's great today at the ballpark. It'll feel snappy for me. You know, it'll be. It'll be intense because it's always seven innings. I liked it the other day. I just don't know if they're going to change the game in that manner. Moving forward. I don't think I'd be against it Go like you said some Sunday back to back seven inning affairs, you know, the young crowd will be into it a little bit more. It's not a bad thought. It would be a major change to how this game's played. Just have a great day at the ballpark. Okay, kid, have a great day. The two of you awesome listening at 70, and I love it better. The Kubo. "That's the bonus of this. I might take 2010. My kids were born in the Hawks. Ended their drought. So that was a pretty good, good year. Very Goodyear. There's 3123323776 And why, and we're gonna ask Theo Epstein about the D H in the National league. Sure, yeah, of course, is that here to stay and You know is that you know what a lot of Cubs fans want to know. Obviously, when we tweeted out that Theo's coming up, we'll ask him. I know it's still a Tom Ricketts Crane Kenney issue. But he still wants to grow the game. It's very important in these on the committee to on how to improve the sport for MLB so as the president of the Chicago Cubs with two weeks from today, and we have preceding game's coming up Is he worried that a large sum of his Cubs fans won't get to see the games because of what's going on with Comcast and Marquis? Sure, perfect. What else is coming up on the show? I let me ask you. This is well it quickly. If you had Marquis If everyone had Marquis, don't you think you probably would have thrown on last night's Inter squad game? That's what Paul Sullivan was one like. I couldn't check Waddle, so I didn't know what was on or not on Marquis. But I would think you'd be playing that we've had three months of playing the best of the 2016 postseason. Dude, I'm throwing things around my house because I can't find the MLS. You don't think I would watch an inter squad came on the northen. It's Hendricks and Darvish. "Hope everyone's having a great Wednesday Beautiful summer day in the city of Chicago. Will there be baseball soon? The I believe now it is confirmed. There was a lot of talk in the last few days about Hey, this big field of dreams game with the White Sox Aaron against the Yankees like that's that's gonna be able to be to be played at least with the exact match up because the Yankees and Socks don't play each other. So there was some talk. Would would they keep Bolt? Would they keep the Cubs or the white sacks in there? And could they play the Cubs? Would they take the White Sox out? Could they make it? Cubs Cardinals? You had to keep the white socks and I don't think that they're mean. That's what the movie is really about, isn't it? I mean, and the White Sox they did announce today are going to play. The ST Louis Cardinals for that field of dreams game. So that would be cool if we do have baseball, but it's only one game, something comes. Fans can really cheer for socks and cardinals. It's a no win game. Is that what did it No one situation? I think you're rooting for the White Sox just like you. I'm I'm surprised that they're going through with this, You know, to try to Do this on. Add another travel to a different for just one game play, serially stay there in place. So what are they doing? Are they playing a game or a Siri's isn't just point. We don't We don't know yet the details of it, but actually had Danny Evans, the former White sacks assistant G. M on Saturday and because he's been part of this project, and he was talking about how During Cove in Major League Baseball did not shut down construction of the stadium in Iowa, so clearly, they always had designs of going forward with it, And I think you know, it would make sense. If you're going there for one game that you might as well do too, right? I mean, I've been there. He's pretty cool of you guys ever been there? Like back in the day when the Bears were in Platteville. It's not far from where field of dreams is. What is it? Diet is a Dyersville. Dyersville, Iowa, Sameer, the the Iowa Show s O. We drove there a bunch of us like bobble gear. Larry Mayor. Mark Potash got names of guys who are still on the Bears beat and we played like a pick up game of baseball on the field of Dreams Field. Pretty cool. How many there for you? No, No, there were Mohr and it was like, four on four or five on five. You know where you do? Lob league. You pick a field if you're right. A. You gotta call left field. You know what I'm saying? You gotta shift over. Everyone's gotta shift for Sylvie because he's the lefty. Lefty. Gotta run over to the right side of the always hated that guy, dammit. But other guys who you would know the names if I mention because this is from like 19 96 or something like that 97. When we went to the field of dreams Field, but yeah, Whitesox, Cardinal. I love the us, Mel and I we've ever been Miller. Maybe I Why would I ever go to Island these fields? I'll tell you what I actually Was there when this initially was announced last summer that that was one of things like I am taking my son to this. This is something I would be a cool that's different. I understand. No, no. But now I'm actually like, you know, that's the one of the things I'm a little bummed out about, because obviously I'm not going to be attending. Thief Field of Dreams game. I don't even know what the ticket sales situation will be like for that. They're building a whole stadium. Don't you think they did this more than once? Only going to be Yes. No, no, I think it's going. They're going to try and make it a semi annual thing. And I think there's but it's only constructed for about 8000 fans. So you know it's going to be a hard ticket to get In normal times, and now they probably even harder on the cell. 25% of them. I don't know. I mean, it's a good question. You wonder if this is like, Do you play your Siri's with Cubs in cardinals Because you're going to go home in a way with both, I think is the way they're doing it, isn't it? What is it? Is it four games to win two or something like that? So it's again. It's it's all fluid. We don't know the exact number because it's like I think the Cubs and sacks are supposed to play each other. Maur than four times six times six times arrival, which means, yeah, that, like the Cardinals is likely to be four times against the white sacks throughout the whole season. I don't know, play two games there while you going from well, why, with everything going on and having to travel and having to fly there and everything. Why are you? Why are you wasting time for one game? That's a perfect point like we're talking about just trying to get through the season. And yet, in some ways, it's odd that they're inviting. More opportunity to go to different places and trying, you know. You're inviting more risk. You're right about that. And then what was so What's this about The Cubs? The Cubs? Is this about the rooftops? I think Josh Friedman from S O. B. GMTV, According to Josh Freeman from W. G and the source tells me the city of Chicago has given approval to Wrigleyville rooftops. Tau host fans for Cubs games, a 25% capacity. Tickets expected to go on sale Once the MLB schedules released through my source says tickets will not be sold for potential exhibition games. Crane Kenney was going around, you know. Last week he was on with cap Talked about how they're looking for opportunities to have fans. There's 16 rooftops. The Ricketts own a majority of them. So this is, you know money that they get directly like this doesn't go back into the team. This is just because it's not part of Major League baseball. They're just rooftops. Right? Right..

"One of the greatest geniuses sons. They have a lot of talking baseball. It's back 60 games, no crowds. You think they'll have walk up songs welcome, So they're really to just I would think. To motivate the player. Yeah, usually the organism branding right? Usually the organist that plays a walk up song or the person that activates the pre recorded song. They're stuck in a boot somewhere, so there'd be no reason for them not to be in the building. OK, they could walk up to the building. Probably not see or touch a person Probably. Alright, that's ah, lot of I knew the guy that did it for the Blackhawks. Okay, walked up there had a suit because they had a dress code saw a couple people went his booth and just did that right And he's there all the time. And this all wouldn't When baseball starts, We'll be able to walk in not see anybody walk right up to his booth to his work. Go home write, so that should be no problem. So I would. I would think they'd have the walkout, especially now at Wrigley Field for the people on the rooftops Because we heard from Crane Kenney, they'll probably have to have some kind of ambient sound. We got our and we don't know each other's walk up song. No mind. It's kinda lame, but I picked mine because it would inspire me. OK, I'm walking up to the plate. I need inspiration. I need something right and Then I got to thinking, you know, there are a lot of players who I think I could assign some walk up songs for. Okay, Pastor President. I've got one for Frank Thomas. Okay? And I think this one speaks for itself. This is what I think Frank should have. If you were playing today. Why? Because it's got the word hurt in the title. There you go. Hurts so good. I think so. There you go. It is. He takes his time to the plate. Yeah, well, yeah, that's a slow saunter. He's Frank. He doesn't have to walk fast for anybody now. Okay? I heard these. You came up with some of the Is that enough to get you pumped up? Mellencamp yelling hurts so good now it's just me being a smart ass. Okay? I just know the ones that I can't even for these players these air more of a smart as Zander look at, okay. Mine is more inspirational. And if you have one share with us, and it could be funny, it could be inspirational. It could just be stupid. We'll take sure. Definitely, 3123323776 Share with us on Twitter. I know the Cubs would come up with a bunch of different ones and white sacks and no Tim Anderson had wanted. He walk up songs and songs from guys coming in from the bullpen have been great. You don't understand, but I forgot about what do you have understand? Man from Mariano Rivera. Awesome, Great stuff. And and even in the movie Major league, you know when, when the guy walks in The hell's a song. Now I can't remember it. What is that song you got to know for majors on a major league? Not that's not his real house for May. Someone will call and let me know way need to know that because it's on the tip of my tongue. It is a very big scene in the movie. Can't remember a CDC. Maybe. Always that wild thing? Yes, by the truck? Yes, but trucks? Yeah. Yeah, and remade by a 1,000,000 people. Yes. Didn't I? Hendrix? Oh, yeah. Did a version of it? Yeah, That was way better than trucks. Much better. Right? So, Hank Karen again. This is just through the lenses of Hamon, Hank Hammer and Hank. This is his Okay, touch. Why, Fred? Because whoever C hammer, that's why that's motivational, right. If you're called the hammer coming up, that's good stuff. The only other one that might have come up with for him is and only because I'm a big Todd Rundgren friend. Hammer in my heart. I love that song. Awesome, son. I think only you and I Everybody knows that. I know not everybody knows that song. Even Tyler would know that side of you played, he'd know there's no hammer away. There's the and that's utopia, by the way. But there's no way he knows No one played. It may be no names. Yeah, it's a great song. Very obscure, will appreciate that. It will give you another job to do I look it up for playing for Thiss one. Is my favorite. For Jose Altuve, a of the Astros stepping up. I'm just guessing, but this is this is Carrie. I guess it is comes here it comes. This is a good one. I think this would weren't It's inspirational and it's truthful Friends trash. And of course, that your guy Todd? Yes, had solo tag that is so low tide and then this one popular torture thinking. Maybe I can see him stand. It was it is all right. This is me just being a sourpuss. Hater. OK, OK, press the one for body could possibly hate very buns. Press the one for bonds. Do you know this one, Fred? Yeah, I do. What's the car's Fred? I am not a bond fan. Never have been never will be, but I like Bobby. I like his own man. Now, the reason I don't know that's back, isn't it? It is that's the only thing I know. The only reason I only one you would know from. I mean, you know he's had a lot of great size, but that's his big hit. And I knew I knew the song, but I'm not. I'm not. That's me. That's me, not being a bond's guy if it's back, and if it's not Jeff, I have no interest right. There's got to be Jeff back is the back of the problem with Geoff Songs. Is there almost all instrumental And coming up with a name for an instrumental song is still something I want to talk to every artist that does instrumental signs. How do you do? Use A look, A look in the paper see forwards, and that's the name because they really usually have no rhyme or reason. Drugs. No, I don't think Jeff back ever did drug There's no way he could play the guitar and you are so naive. You are just so completely hears we? Yes, we asked Tyler to grab this one because Rizzo Had had a really good one. And it's you know, it's it was done after 1970 So I really don't know the name of it, but I would recognize it. So here it is. And it's really good when Rizzo's walk into the place I like to party is a party and it's really good. Because as soon as you say, Anthony Rizzo, you just hear that. Yeah. Any kids and it gets the crowd moving. Yeah, you know, so that You know, if you are choosing a walk up song, you think OK, it inspires me gets the crowd moving. It lifts everybody. That's the recipe for success. I like it. You know, so many so many people out there. You figured I'm never going to step to the plate in a major league ballpark, so they didn't come up with you go off, and that's what you should do. If your account you're a couch potato Euro weekend warrior. I would just imagine close your eyes and think about walking to the plate and a major league baseball game in front ofthe like last year or next year, 40,000 people And what song? Would you like to hear them? Pump it out? Chris Brian's got his own.

"Member FDIC. President electing here on ESPN one thousand away from the situation. I was working post game on Tuesday night with Doug, Glanville, and David Hayes USA, Doug calls me. And said are you aware of this hand gesture he said, I didn't know about it. I didn't know what was behind me. And then it became a thing on social media to the point where crane Kenney had to get involved. And then the cubs did some type of investigation they banned that fan were you part of the investigation and were you aware of what was going on? When this happened on TV. No, I was not part of the investigation. We were dealing with a lot of the baseball side. Although the roster moves Brussels return, but I. Crane follow me after the game. And maybe aware of what happened, and I went online and saw the the image of the fan making that faster right behind Doug, Glanville is an amazing person. You know, it was presented in the context of this. This fan was making you know, this hateful tower gesture and that visual, obviously, extremely disturbing. That's not the end of the story. There has to be an investigation and staff undertook that and then my next and that was just an update the next day. They had stunning investigation was ongoing. When people making the connection between that gesture and the hate which it is now, unfortunately associated as that they're looking forward to to notify the fan that you did banned for life. So that's when I had to meet the media on the Addison thing, and then the last about it. So the determination been made at that point. Onto the field. Your club starting one and six two and seven I'm standing next to you in the dugout Milwaukee. You said you talk about allocation of resources pointed me, this is not on our pitching coach or manager hitting coach whoever it is that you mentioned now your club from that night on is playing the best baseball in the league. In your in. First place, are you pleased with where you're at is. There are still ways to go to get to the level. You want him to be at? Yeah. It's it's been it's been a really good. You know, the balance back versus been really good. And I'm proud of the the the work and the process used by by our players, first and foremost, digging in and relying on each other and continue in the big adjustment and sticking together through, you know, after getting tested you on that first trip in and the coaching staff, and Joe, and and and everybody to lead us out of this. So yeah, I'm really proud of that. That's that is. Yeah, there's no new apps. I mean, all all we've gone is player self into position to be right in the middle of what we knew would be an extremely competitive division in Gaul of a league in a year in which there a lot of really good teams, and it's very very little margin for error. So we need to recover, and we did we did it by quicker than than anyone imagined. So great job. I thought players and stuff go getting to the point. But we're really just. Just starting line of and you have to play whoever wins this year going to play consistently. Excellent baseball. Yeah. The rest of the season because there's no margin fair. You can't you can't give games away. You can't show up when you want to sell this team that shows up the most often, and and and find the way to fight scratch and claw their land to close the division is gonna be on. That wins it self that. Also ahead of Tim Anderson was on Dan lebatardshow yesterday and lebatardshow. Do you watch baseball. He said, Nope. He said, I play my games. I do my job. But I don't watch because baseball's boring. How do you respond to that went fairly marketable player off to a really good? Start says on a national show. Our sports boring. Yeah. I don't find baseball boring in the lease. But I also recognize that this whole generation that that's grown up with. Smartphones. And you know, a ton of of entertainment toy ses, and entertainment, that's more digestible and consumable in in in minutes, not hours, and that, you know, we can't expect kids to to sit down and learn the love baseball games and yell is the brand of baseball that were playing now probably needs more action than it. You know, it's there's almost four minutes. Go by between a ball put in play in a baseball game on average. Now seems to sit there for about four minutes. Just to see the ball and action just to see fielder's going after the ball make enough let a better runner run the bases. And that's probably, you know, not enough action for generation coming along that's used to instant gratification, and it has a ton of entertainment toy so anything. Good news Commissioner is really aware of this. And a lot of it is tied to. Strikeout rate. You know when we were growing up strikeout rate fifteen percent. And now it's getting close to twenty five percent. And all that means is that if the ball not in play as much they're they're more strikeouts of hip of today's game, which was would have been completely foreign absurd. Thought when growing up. So I think he top of it is, you know, the the the industry is looking at measures to try to preserve the game that we all know love the tweak it in a way that makes it more action packed and that, you know, no one will ever say baseball's boring again, that's is a tricky balance. But I think you know, I think everyone involved is open minded and progressive. I'm looking for ways to make the game better. Last thing for you. With the injury to Strope and your club is really really good. In fact, I baseball reference does their daily power rankings the cubs. The number one team in baseball your window to win another World Series is wide. Open Kris Bryant looks great does that heighten your aggressiveness earlier in the season? Whether that's Craig kimbrel or some guy out there that you make a trade for does it heighten your aggressiveness that, hey, we got move more quickly than maybe we want to. We we've been an aggressive mindset and aggressive foster respect the bullpen from day one. And we're just realized that they're going to be year where we're going to be proactive. We're going to be aggressive probably all year long. It's just the reality of it. And then we we sent down our own setup guy over the last three years the first week of the season and all that. To get some fixes. So that they can come back and help us. We brought up a couple of guys from AAA hooting. Kyle Ryan didn't have an established back record at all in the big leagues. But we felt could help us. He's been outstanding Albright the ship. So yeah, those are those are some internal moves that we've made and we'll continue to bacon. Turtle move all year long. It's out of the guys in the right position. And and and yes, we're going to be open to external moves as well and helps them outside the organization early may not the not the typical time when this was any kind of marketplace for that that propel yes or any any Lewisham outside the organization would be under the radar subtle moves at this point. But as the marketplace though is is still in a position to to add to a bullpen one. That's been really successful. But we're certainly not gonna arrest on that. We're not gonna assume that's going to continue. Of course. We'll we'll be aggressive, but strokes injury only underscores that that aggressive mindset that we have to have but day to day doesn't change. For us. We're still out. There was the guys who are extremely well. Trying to go get glass out spaghetti. That.

"Much and leakers and Kelly, and and all the LSD, ladies and gentlemen, who go out of their way to promote our charity apple a day and support our show when they're so overwhelmingly positive it probably makes other people go I want to check that drew grab a live shell out just like on the side of the coin when mobile detailer Angelo. And some of the other scumbags who happen to listen to our show when they promote it, you know, imagine Angela shows up to some lady's house and goes. Hello, ma'am. I'm angelo. You might hear me on radios. Drew Grabo live. You know, they go I don't ever need to listen to that loser show that attracts losers. Like this guy. I've been thinking, and you know, as far as fan groups, there's one other fan group out there. That's all about love. They're all about unity, and they're all about fam- Lee. And I've come to realize this is this is pretty much a Korean gigolos. The juggle lows are the anti. No, no, no, no, no, see. That's the thing is I think that if juggle lows is an orgy of scumbags. Oh, man. There's rape. Oh, that's the violence as a false claims drug use not true. And for the for the army. It's all about positively and loving yourself for the jug lows. It's all about eating Fago soaked hot dogs that I don't think it's about that. I think that's just something that they do. But they're all about love and unity and accepting each other and Fama Lee Fama Lee a lot like BT k seventy seven five seven one zero two five and eight hundred seventy seven zero two five b two k sorry family. That's what they're saying. If they chanted the concerts, I'm more concert. That's a it's using that term loosely today's it's okay. It's not okay. Is about. Something that used to be. A way to say, okay. You'd hold your four. I don't want to do it on TV. Now. You know what? I mean. That's the thing is this. We joked about it for so long. But it's become real like, even if it started as a joke, we have to accept it Israel now. That's exactly it because it did start as a joke. The white power people as a joke said what if we started doing the okay sign and said that was a w for white power. That's funny. And then before you know, it it catches on. And now this dude. Who is doing it last night? Behind an African American analysts by the name of Doug, Glanville from NBC sports, Chicago at Wrigley stadium. A dude in a hoodie waves. Hello to the camera to reporters doing something. There's gonna be some Jack in any behind them trying to get on TV. Oh, that's your time to shine people. See it that way. Try Belcher loves those people. So this dude's talking about the cubs game in the third inning talking about the Marlins in the cubs and a dude in a hoodie waves till out of the camera. Then he's just like an idiot. You're like, okay, you're an idiot. Then he makes peace sign. Okay. You're still just a harmless idiot. And then he makes the upside down. Okay. Hand gesture with his fingers. Cubs. President crane Kenney this morning released a statement that said this ignorant and repulsive behavior will not stand and he threatened to ban the fan for life, quote, any derogatory conduct should be reported immediately to our ballpark staff. We reached the conclusion that it's more likely than not that this person was using that hand signal as a racist way of interfering with everyone's enjoyment of the game. That investigation has almost reached its conclusion we'll have more to say in a little bit. If you're wondering what Mr. Glanville said the African American reporter in question, I applaud the responsiveness of vote. The Chicago Cubs organization and NBC sports in investigating this manner matter they have reached out to me and are supportive of my role in the broadcast and continue to have a desire to uphold an inclusive environment at Wrigley field. They have displayed sensitivity as child the implications of this would affect me as a person of color. I think they then came back into side that they were going to ban him from Berkeley field right later Wednesday yesterday. The cubs released a follow up statement officially banning the fan. Is this okay? Or not okay. Seven two seven five seven nine one zero two five and eight hundred seven seven one one or two five I started in the political world, and I don't I don't live in that world. So when I see that when I see a guy do that. I think that he's doing that. They were hey, you look at that. And then I punch you. So if I see that on TV, that's that's my first thought. I think I'm not even joking. If that if that's has become a sign for a white power movement. Then they got to get rid of the okay emoji. I'm still using it. And I I'm not racist. At all. So I'm trying to think of any other hand gesture that has changed meaning through time. And I don't know unlike the middle finger has always meant the middle finger, right? And that's not even up for interpretation. Right. Would you get banned from Wrigley field for life? If you if you flip the bird. I don't think you'd get banned for life. So I was trying to remember what it was recently the happened in that that made me change my way of thinking, and it was the story from a few months back about it was an Australian man who killed forty nine people in a New Zealand mosque, and they had them all tied up in his face is blurred out. And he's he's throwing out the white power signal in the courtroom right to me once a guy who's willing to kill fifty people in the name of white supremacy throws up the sign, then then we can't know we can no longer say it's just a joke or that. We don't get it. Because it's real because fifty people are dead happened. It happened where I mean, not not everybody's up on every single a news event that happens in the world. If this was a launch ACOG of hey, this means white power. Don't do we're going to ban. You maybe more people have an understanding. But I feel like not enough people know that I'm not I'm not even saying this guy doesn't know that. I didn't know that. I think we know it because we're on the news. I I agree with you Seth I don't think a lot of people even know. Yeah. I don't know. But I just remember thinking when I saw this that I thought it was a joke and call this stupid until I saw this because if someone's going to do it and they're willing to kill fifty people. Then then it's real in nineteen twenty in Germany. You probably could have hired a leader and not offended too, many people. You know what? I mean, if you're I don't even think they had a fewer before Hitler. You could have high old whoever they had before Hitler. But since Adolf Hitler took power and sent so many people to the concentration camps. If you now go like that that's a symbol of white power. That's the only one I can think of just please don't anybody ever use this as a racist. Simple. You know what I mean? Oh, the underarm fart. Get the Mike in their can't hear very well. Expose skinnier. Yep. That angle. Yeah. Yeah. My point is. Noises. Live. Hello. Who are you? Hi, lisa. How's your day? It's good. Is it okay? Or not okay to ban someone for life from a cubs game from any cubs game for a hand. Gesture. I think it's okay. You know, I agree that the way. But in that situation. That's clearly what's the guy was doing. Okay. So so you're one of those like, you know, we we we give too much power to words people. But at the same time, we now know that this is a racist signed. So we're going to ban you. Right. And if you watch like sometimes he knows that. Okay. Come on seventy seven five seven nine hundred to five my sister. And I used to use it as the Likud look gets punched. I mean, we've got guys here. They don't do so much now, but the guys working Becca digital they did this constantly. I mean, it's a very big running joke online. And I'm sure a lot of people when they do that. That is what they what they mean. I don't know if we covered it. But I'm just looking through some stories do got fired from the coast guard in September for for throwing it up in the back of a video that was using the coastguard. So it seems like people at a higher level are now taking it as that as the racist symbol five years ago. If you did this someone would have gone, oh, cool. The the game. In fact, not even a year ago, not even six months ago there were things going around online where similar go click here click here, and then you click one would be that. And then you'd look in. And they would get to punch you. But now for you to do that, it's got a secret power. Meaning how do they? Ban you for life from a stadium because I know they've done this to a lot of people. Whether you rushed the field. I just don't know. How how can they keep it from going to the next game? Right. I I don't know if you can can you show with like a fake moustache? I mean, they got your boy from barstool sports. They kicked him out of the Super Bowl. Well, you know, he he was asking for t- loves the publicity and he still right in bed with the with the patriots. They still love him. Oh, yeah. Patriots fan of Roger Goodell. Did you see this? Did you see the video of him? He's ranting because he just lost all his money. If the Kentucky Derby, and as he's ranting. Bill Belichick comes up behind him. Tell him goodbye. No. I think he's actually really good friends with a lot of those guys that he is to live alone. Who are you? Joe Joe is it okay? Or not okay. That they've banned a cubs fan for life for using a questionably white power symbol. I think it is. Okay. Well, I think once once someone an organization takes hold of, you know, whatever it may be as as part of their their hate speech or hate, you know, underground society then. Yeah. I think we as as divided people need to to squash. It it's it's just like the the controversy with the rebel flag out. Some people think it's it's what is it hit heritage not hate, right? There are people that that fly it as a as a hate. So just because I am only asking this question to get your opinion. So because some people use it as a symbol of of prejudice. And and white power those people who would fly it as a tribute to their fallen confederate soldier relatives can no longer do. So. That. I'm asking just asking. I don't I don't know. That's unfortunately, we always look at the bad part of it. And there are people that that. Yeah. They may see it as their heritage. But unfortunately, there are people that have tarnished that interesting. Thank you. I appreciate the call very much. I think the negative side is always going to win in situations. Like this like to me it being reclaimed by the game or being reclaimed by the okay signal like those those days are gone like it's only going to become more and more synonymous with you know, being related to a white power signal. Like, it's never gonna come back the other way. No the rainbow flag is always going to be the gay flag. Like, we're never. You're never going to just be able to go re ROY g biff was there a rainbow flag before. Yeah. It was a guy named ROY g biv anyway that you would go to events and hold up his flag. They'd be like, oh, there's ROY g Bev. But unfortunately, or fortunately, I mean, depending on I mean, look, ROY. Turn gay. And then and then he started using the gay flight true story when it's just like how like you said a lot of people don't know that how far can ignorance get you because you could fill out a word. Everybody knows his racist. But if you say, I didn't know that was racist. Right. Like, this that scenario like when I said Dookie locks, and I didn't even know like I just thought we were talking about a someone with with dreadlocks down below. And I said, yeah. Dookie locks in some woman called up and said, you're racist because you said Dookie locks, and I said me so society Terry on Twitter said I saw the video and he clearly tried to show it below the ways and realized it wasn't on camera..

"Yeah. Where would you find the Super Bowl? Wait one. Gave you the alternate is a little wider. So you could in theory, maybe run, but somebody's crashed into normally they called pack racing. Is that what they call it legitimate racing? Restrictor plate racing. Is Pat crash racing together. Nobody can get away from anybody. You gotta have other cars working to be able to go anywhere. Yeah. Restrictor plate on their going too fast. Too fast holds the record for qualifying speed. Oil or in an Oscar race may not specifically be say, I'm going say, the great Dale Earnhardt senior. Awesome Bill from Dawson Ville Bill. That's right. That's a great nickname big red. Did he have read here now? Yeah. Two hundred twenty odd miles an hour while the cars are going too fast. They had swum down the big tracks. Right. Yeah. They're gonna fly off the damn thing. Really? If they get it. You know, what happened and they put those flaps up on the hoods. We assume go backwards. Yeah. That keeps the car from lifting up because we are moving forward. Aero dynamically the air coming over the top cube some Dow right when they get spun in the truck series. Sometimes there comes on. Yeah. That that became problematic situation while you're just educated. Really was he lost me at restrictor plate. They do cover the they allowed. They limit the amount of air that can go into your carburetor here. Your engine company worked so hard without oxygen to get everything fire oxygen box. You can't live without it. You can't have can have flame without combustion right combustion without actually. And when you limit the amount of oxygen. Yeah. A good thing. Either. Tell me what you make. Say something, but I've been fired. It's team. We could still fire. You sure. Sure. It's handled everything I heard ninety percent of the he seemed like a hard thing to talk about. He's. The normal which like I said, I think is kind of understandable. If you know what I'm saying. I don't I mean, I don't want to be callous in any way, shape or form. But I think they would echo the same sentiments that began. Well, but it's going to be nice when when the conversation is now focused on baseball. And I think that's where they want to get to you know, what I mean. All these. They've got to. I mean, you've got to address all of these really difficult issues because they are they are significant issues that you can't run away from for sure. So. I thought you know, obviously, it's going to be different difficult conversation. Talking about his dad in the emails. Also caught my year was is that they don't got anymore. No money. Yeah. I thought that that was. Obviously the fact that they are going to work with the Muslim community to create a positive environment. I thought was obviously portent. Yeah. But also the fact that they don't have. I mean, the budget is such day telling you, they don't have any money in look they have spent a lot. You're go-. Fact check though, and it's not top five. How what did he say? At least last five years. They've been in the top five. It's not the three out of the last five years. Well, they weren't going to be in the top five when they first started. This thing. Seventeen. Listen 2017 seventeen they weren't in the top five and twenty fifteen they were not. That's right. He said the last five years nineteen eighteen seventeen sixteen fifteen I got check it out. Is that is that is Tom Ricketts falling on the sword for his general manager because he doesn't want to say, I told the obscene can't get another free agent because his last three have been Boston's yeah. I felt that way all along. I mean, I understand that like when we talked to crane Kenney late last week. One of the messages, I felt like that we got from him was is that some of the some of their revenue. Streams are very promising. But they've been delayed a little bit for whatever reason they did the majority of this. They did all of this rehab on their own using their own cash starting the their own network. Nobody's gonna pass the hat for them. Don't get me wrong. But I I mean, he made it sound like when they do when some of these other revenue streams become more prevalent and more obvious than the budget will go up, but I thought all along had they not had they gotten more from you Darvish and Tyler chat would and Moro and Jason hare. Jason heyward. I think that maybe they would have a different approach. I will tell you this much. I've predicted my comeback player of the year to be harvest this year already. I'm picking you wide. I saw the most positive sign out of anything. And it's not that he's throwing the bar is doing any shoulder exercises. But he he embraced the fans with his efforts to speak English. This is a big reversal here. For your big one eighty. I mean, I applaud his willingness to do that. I'll I'm in. I'm camps firmly in the middle of Missouri on this one. I. Understand. Why I like what you did there that makes a lot of sense. Did you vote on our web poll? These were the only two places left on earth, which do choose Cleveland or Saint Louis. We got twenty five hundred votes in. It's pretty close. The climate and Saint Louis is better because it's further south, it's murder. It's Moore hotter. Cleveland as in Ohio in by birth and by nature. I mean. Cleveland? Voted. A major league baseball team. You have an NFL football team. You have an MBA franchise at the rock and Roll Hall of fame. You've got there are some really nice golf courses in the area. Yeah. You can go see the Cleveland barons. There's a lot of things there are a lot of things you can do in in in Cleveland. Fifty fifty four percent of the audience. They're going with Saint Louis close. Whether it's a different. I mean there. Yeah. You know, I I would be in the summer cat. Yeah. But it's warmer in the winter. You've lived next to the Ohio river, you know, what? Down. No, listen, I'm going back. It's always degrees. Right. I am. I didn't do a soccer tournament and longtime. Oh, no kidding. I've got to go for a one of my daughter's soccer tournament while there's only one plane still. So the is it an indoor outdoor in Cincinnati. Tournament. Cincinnati. Wait about degrades schedule. Is it really? But with. Had some issues as well. But the fuel could the of the field. Synthetic field. Oh, what kind of more puts the schedule. Crazy friday. It's supposed to be forty nine degrees. Saturday sixty with some rain and Sunday, fifty three. Lanta is that so far away? Well, they'd been other places. They were in Arizona. I think they were in Orlando, California, California. I think they're the number one team in the country again. Wow. Good for that. They got any girls looking to plan the national law. I think so. Yeah. Young talent. So my daughter's more of a role player love her dearly. But she coming back from a massive knee injury goaltender. What does she's not? She's a midfielder midfielder, she an offensive manner. She had a defense. She's more of a holding mid. This team. She's got kids there that are all crazy when you go back to Cincinnati. She plays. She plays the role of some aero on a Real Madrid holding mid that. I'm not sure doesn't like to admit it. But you are a legendary figure here because you played for the football team. Not only that. But. Championship girls. Soccer. Yes. It's like you're going into Green Bay like people. Go nuts for you're going. Green Bay money goes nuts from. That's not true. They do they love when you go back to your hometown. No. Is it like, they don't Tom Waddell. Yeah. He walks in the Montgomery in and everything stops. Well, that's not true. But they got they go crazy for like Griffey junior. Yeah. Yeah. Yes. Teammates or well, not teammates class while not even classmates, but went to the same high school Griff was two years behind me. Very Larkin was three years ahead of me. Sandwiched between them. And then there was radio my brother played with Barry for something. I think is the only high school in America. That's had two major league baseball MVP's come out of it. Wow. It's not in California. Known. I believe in Griffey's senior year they had five guys play major league baseball. Flacco the bell brothers, Michael and David bell kidney, Madame highs doing. There was a pitcher. That's crazy, man. I'll played major league baseball for a time. You see? Kyla Murray is gonna probably be the first player ever drafted in the top ten in two sports. He's gonna probably going to console mel's typer. Yeah. His his drafts two point zero mock draft two point, oh he has Cuyler Murray going thirteen to the dolphins. All right. Well, maybe not maybe he certainly projected to be the first to be chosen in the top ten in baseball and potentially NFL. I've got the Jaguars Taylor really quarterback. What what place or? Thinking seven how about that to go from the AFC title game two seven. Time. Another reminder, the nothing's promised to you in the national football too. Because if you got a crappy team you could turn around one year baseball, you can't do they have the lead at halftime in the AFC championship game a year and a half ago. They saw now you're picking in the top ten. Yeah. Is crazy. All right. Tommy what's coming up? We have what do we have Nick free? Dell's going to join us at four o'clock, I believe he experienced all of all star weekend. Yes, I Charlotte's. We'll obviously have the good the bad and the dirty from this weekend. Jessie Rodgers will join us to recap what we heard from Tom Ricketts out in Mesa marching Greco. Obviously five thirty little bit waddles world at three thirty as well. And again, we'll recap what you heard from Tom Ricketts, and I believe now it's kind of from this day forward in some of these conversations will remain. But from today forward, it's more baseball oriented is it not more baseball better. So a little bit of all that. Okay cap. I think capital show. Black wattle will get your home. Don't worry about it. We'll see everybody tomorrow. Have a great afternoon. It's ESPN one thousand going to hit you. Who were split your state to people liked it? I don't think that's wack. I didn't. That's dope..

"Blackhawks and obviously no more cubs. Come out Tober. Okay. So here's the line item. Here's the here's the money money line regional sports fee. Eight dollars and twenty five cents a month. Yup. Now, let's go back about two months. Fred. Probably guys barring us here in January. But I noticed my January first through January thirty first Bill from the cable company the regional sports fee, which is now what would you say eight eight twenty twenty five twenty five last year. It was six dollars and seventy five cents every month. Okay. All right. And January I jumped from six dollars and seventy five cents a month eight dollars and twenty five cents a month. Which is a twenty two point two percent increase. Fifty dollar fifty every every month jumped up. I've been sound like much six seventy five eight twenty five barely get a soda for a dollar fifty. But it's a twenty two percent point two of get technical twenty two point two percent increase. How many things usually go on twenty two percent a year? Hopefully, not many things, right. That's that's a it's a nice hike. But all the talk this week much. Do we pay? How much are they gonna not one person that I heard last year, and then January ever called out of maybe? Did you see how much they raised for twenty nineteen the cubs and the science and the bulls and the Blackhawks I on my cable they raised a twenty two percent. Did you hear anyone complaining or mentioning that the no I don't think I did? I don't think I heard that. Why? Here because Felix might have been here that day, but we talked about it. No one's I'd like to know exactly if if the regional sports v if it's just sox-cubs wolves bears blackheart, I believe it is. Okay. Now, let the record show two or three years ago. It was four dollars. A month. Okay. So it's more than doubled doubled it in about two three years. Now. Where's that? You know? He's going up every price everything goes up. So just thought the record show. How many prices things go down nothing televisions? Yeah. You're right. Down. But then then what you got to pay to put it on TV goes up. So does out toasters are cheaper. But I don't know. I don't know posters fancier now. So why bread narrow bread they pop up, and then you can even lift or higher you ever tried to go just by bread now confuse us. It's the most difficult thing wheat whole wheat craft we yeah. Yeah. Grain seven grain ten green twelve grain bread. We by butternut bread for the birds. Yeah. Every once in a while, you know what I'll do. I'll make a sandwich with butternut bread air bread. We used to call. I love it. Every once in a while, they always said white bread. It's good for you. Grow twelve ways that white bread worst-off at the world for because you never have it. Right. Okay. The only thing more confusing at the store, then buying bread. Paper towels. You're gonna try to figure out the best buy on the paper towels. Always can't. Yeah. Eligib- best buy his I looked figured it out. But then some people don't like go to WalMart. So I opened up an account. If that's the word, Costco. By the way, and the only prisoner pronounces the tea in const code. Casco cosco. Where's that? Costco. Well, that's what it is. You just throw the T away price at tea or just talking. So paper towels you know, they ought to do. They Kimberly Clark or whoever makes Proctor gamble. But they want to put how much the package like it got six thousand twelve twenty four summer fat or summer skinnier summer to ply summer. One ply. All they'd have to do is say the weight as a turnaround like some type of scale. Awaited. And then you then, you know, the price compared to the way they. Two hundred and twenty two square feet per roll and roll pliant up. Yep. Can we please? Back to the topic y'all sports Aroo, and that was another murder FMO, man. How long this segment right now. What is the next civil? For a while miss him sorta, oh there's another one we can get we can get another getting Brandon Marshall linebacker now. He's out available now. So Denver decided out to pick them up. So I was amazed all week here in about. Cubs are on the television. Price point how many times I heard that. What's the price going to be? Hey has crane said the price point yet. Can't we just say how much is it going to cost isn't that synonymous? Wait how much is it gonna cost yet? Not one person got angry are even called in. Or maybe be happy. When they've raised a double the price of your. S p regional sports program star is not like in tributary RSP regional. Okay. You're regional sports networks. Thank you. Right. Right. Same deal that again, I was wrong. Just by one third just one letter and a piece pretty close to the two. It's very simple the cubs cut out the middleman, that's all they did they cut out. Yeah. See the way it's done for the last fifteen years. Jerry Reinsdorf on's twenty percent of the Comcast sports package for the White Sox. He also owns twenty percent for the Abol. Rocky owns twenty percent for the Blackhawks, and Mr. Ricketts and prior to that whoever onto Sam Zell the truth and they own twenty. So the cubs SOX. Blackhawks bulls on twenty twenty twenty twenty what happened to the other twenty Murph. Right. Yeah. People used incorrectly. Even right in twenty five percent, five twenty point is. The money was put into a pool. So if the cuts generated more revenue than the socks. The bulls at a black not combined. But you know, what? I mean, the cut still only got twenty percent bap up not forty or thirty five or thirty three hundred twenty one or twenty. So in a way, you could say they did have a reason to be a little upset if indeed again, I don't know that they were generating more income than the other ones. Because then rocky works businessman, Jerry, Reinsdorf good businessman in. Comcast Corp, whatever the business people. They were splitting up the pie. Equally by one fifty for. No more money was coming in from the one guy the cubs. You could say did not get their fair share. But. Now, there is nobody taking the twenty percent that would be the contest one fifth. That's gone. So the next question is why has. Comcast raise the fees so much here. Twenty two percent January first from six seventy five a month to eight dollars twenty five cents a month and back at around four and a half bucks. Just a year to go before that why are they raised as well? Number one. They run to find out if there'd be any complaints. This is my guest. Hey, let's keep jacking it up. Maybe no one this. Right. Well, guess what? Fellas. One person noticed. Thank you. There you go. So they train cases. See they didn't just raise this thing on your January. First Bill is your willy nilly for no reason, it was all orchestrated number one. Let's see how we can. Gobi for they beg for mercy or get mad. But number two was helping crane Kenney determine how much can we our price point beat? Real quickly. I also think another reason is that because of all the cord cutters. They realized that the people that are keeping the cable are people to watch sports. So in order for them to to make up for all the cord cutting. They decided you know, what we charge the sports people an extra twenty two point two percent. That maybe it'll make up for the number of people that are cutting the cord it's like the price of cigarettes. As fewer. Yeah. As fewer people by him. They raise the price. They still have the same revenue stream and the taxes Davis. They realized even right now, they realized that the only reason a lot of people are keeping cable because they want to watch the regional sports where sometimes it makes it a little more difficult when you cut the cord to watch absolutely right. So now another angle all those games around WGN. Respecting cubs games. But also the other sports but pop up on Goodell WJ. So now since WGN won't have any. Peter long though, the adult trip shot of the week. I love Dan to pin along by the way. We got a message from Peter Longo. He was loving listening to Randy merkin last week on our show golf, Murph. And fred. Talking about the new flagstick role and Peter tried to get to it later with his opinions on the flakes. Everyone knows Peter longer the shop guy, and they were terrific guy. So let's gets lost in the shuffle. And we have the sound bite here. Message sent out by buddy, John Greenberg. Okay. Over at. Thank death lettuce. Still waiting for my hat, John. So. All the money you paid through your six dollars and seventy five cents a month. Or now, you're eight Dow up twenty two point two percent. Nobody cared. Nobody noticed that money. Some would go to WGN because they had to buy the rights for the Cup game hub games cost seven hundred and fifty thousand dollars per game. Last year. So WGN had to pave the rights to Ricketts seven hundred and fifty thousand dollars per game. I'm assuming channel seven her neighbors next door wearing to same ballpark avidly. And I'm assuming that the one hundred plus games or whatever there were on Comcast. So see picture a bowl of soup. Folded right near the top. You can pick up the ball and slushing around a little bit. And sometimes and then but since it's always the same amount of soup. Right. Right. So and Jon Greenberg also nail this will play this bite. Yes. It is. As Jon Greenberg company invited minds sometime we love it so Greenberg, and we were going to point out Fred that so now. There's no money now. Comcast excuse me has to pay WGN reimburse them for buying and then trying to sell their advertising. So it's possible. Maybe that you can still next year. Get your socks and bulls and Blackhawks, and you know, the one station. A better word VC's port Chicago. But and that's what a twenty five now with the cadets going to have to come down. Oh, you would think I see now. Now is my guy friends. Well, you're not getting a cubs on your tongue down. You're not. But you're getting all all the White Sox games. Right. So the games that we're not WGN..

"But yet take my money on ESPN, Chicago. It's going to cost. Yeah. I was texting with Jon Greenberg gung one of the brakes. He you know, he's all over that. He does one the specializes in now to the business saying for the athletic. It's not an. And we're gonna play the crane Kenney interview here, at least the second part that has to do with more less about the TV network and more about cubs business, and how it affects the payroll and how it affects players, and I think that's what most fans want to hear too. But Jon Greenberg reiterating with crane told us the way, it looks now is this isn't gonna be an ala carte thing. If this is this is just it's going to be embedded in your sports package the way it has been forever. Yes. Yes. This is going to be something where like NBC sports, Chicago any any phrased it this way said look the cubs are leaving NBC sports, Chicago. The cubs are leaving WGN and WGN. These days will not carry much wives sports at all. So therefore less sports there, and then adding marquee, it should all be equal. You're still getting the same with all everything on the basic platform or in the bundle. That you would subscribe to. You should not the way it looks. When the new marquee network starts a year from now, see a bump on your cable Bill because marquee has been added to the bundle. That's what crane Kenny told. And look I mean, they're taking advantage of the success of this team over the last five years. There's no question about ten years ago. Would they be able to do this probably not because they wouldn't have had the support their their television ratings probably couldn't support it? But over the last five years, they have done some really good things. And now they're television ratings are significantly higher than they've ever been. Now's the time for them to strike and what they're doing. Craig Kenny also told us earlier today that the marquee network will also broadcast other sports that sort of not been discussed until I heard today in our interview, and he suggested college basketball, and he said this is going to have to obviously coincide with the cubs off season where while they'll cover hot stove or whatever. Is left of hot stove in the next few years, but they're looking for programming from November through early February college basketball fits perfectly there. I'm sure they'll be looking for a number of partners to put on and give airtime to fill out that daily lineup. Right. So a lot of good TV stuff in there. If you wanted to know more about the new marquee sports network. Check out our podcast, we played the first half of the interview that was all about marquee at three o'clock. So we'll be right towards the beginning of the podcast. Here's the second part more business related stuff. That involves cubs payroll and cubs players crane Kenney is the president of the cubs business operations while ask them this question. Is we resume out outlook at some bigger picture issues are the are the revenue streams that have been created the result of the renovation of the of the park and the entire area. And all that you guys have done on the north side. Are they where you thought they'd be are their head of where you thought they would be are they behind where you thought they'd be. Let's see I think I think it's something that, you know, really. Question ten years ago when we we took upon this. How do we turn around this organization and really look at it just like any other business that needed a turnaround? Yeah, we started with the infrastructure and the first thing we did was a new academy. Then we moved onto spring training. You know, people both of the players side at the under our performance center. And slowly, it's funny. Republican. It seems like it's just a member. There was only about five six years ago today, our players would have been eating bologna sandwich. Bench outside in the late room was about the size of your office. You know, when we were training. And now, we have you know, some terrific soldiers. There is I look at the evolution of it. All I was a political texoma while going there, we really didn't have a design on what's become Gallagher way require the most of your cross the street to to make that happen. So. I'd say spring training spent a wonderful upside surprise when we built that ballpark. I remember during geared Renzo for us like how many seats you gonna have in this thing. When I told him he's like, wow, that'll be interesting. And then, you know, fortunately, we haven't able to fill it. So that's been an upside quickly project has been far more expensive than we thought. It would be initially and some of the amenities coming on slower giving some rules get from the city. So I think it's leading into its promise clearly the stuff outside greater ads mixed bag. No, our new radio centralistic, we really enjoy working with the with the folks at CBS. So I you I'd say on the whole probably month plan with a couple of ups and downs. Well can connect the dots. And then say because of some of the things that you say are maybe the they're coming soon. Revenue wise for cubs fans that are a little upset that Bryce Harper Manny Machado or a free agent of that caliber hasn't been pursued. Despite the fact that you guys have a payroll of two hundred million dollars. What would you say to those folks? Yeah. I it's it's interesting to watch. It's a great sport in the off season. I love the hot stove time of year because everything's possible. And and and so I I do kinda take take it for what it's worth, you know, when the dust settles this year, we will be spending substantially more than we did last year. We'll have an all time record payroll, and we'll be one of the top three baseball operations spends in baseball might be number two. So I step back and look at the national sacks. Which are obviously Reverend spending a lot more this year than last year. And you know, the, you know in high cotton in terms of where the industry is does that allows for us to sign. That's available. Does it awhile less address some of the issues that we've had like for instance, then I think so and I I it's really have put their money where their mouth. I look back just a few years ago. Always falling toward the bottom. Eight nine or ten inch of spending. And to think that we're now no one two three, you know, it's it's a long way. And and it really, well, I think this ownership will the budget increase crane ones. The the network is up and running and all these projects are complete. Yes. Yeah. The budget the budget's north every year in. With the network. I think that'll be a big help, you know, the last of our renovations three more clubs online this year or downstairs and one upstairs. We also finished renovations. Sweets this year in the last of our concession stands next year. So, you know, for the ballpark five vital five, you know, this'll be the final final product in terms of of revenue generations. But both the ballpark networks should help us out quite a bit in twenty twenty crane in in your I if you're not the longest employed person in the cubs. You're one of them you've been through a lot. Whether it was back in the trip days or walking, Tom, and and the wreckage family through all this. We'd be remissed as the president of the team. Not to ask you about the Joe Ricketts emails. I know THEO spoke about it and Tom's going to speak about it next week. What was your reaction, and what what are the conversations like to make sure that this? This doesn't reflect poorly on on the ownership group. Yeah. You know, you know, as we turn this thing around talking earlier about you know, facilities that needed you turn around and everything else. It was also a cultural turnaround was required inside the inside the organization, you know, it's been one of incursion. It's it's one of our core principles. I mean, if you walk har- clubhouse, you'll see, you know, both from from a diversity perspective both sort of geographically where players come from ethnically where they come from. But also years diversity of all ideas are welcome. You know, from the wreckage family took over here's been up in appoint to make sure that everyone felt included. And so this is such a departure from anything we've seen for nine years. You know, clearly, it's disappointing. It's you know, you've set it over and over right? There's no place for this particular in our business in our organization just for me personally. And also just say. It was so surprising. Because it's it's not the Joe Ricketts. I know the guy I know. Well, not just sports fan. Fact, we don't see them much ballpark. He's so dedicated to answer which is really international in scope talk so passionately about what he's doing. And it's lift lift of people in all over all over the country of the world. It was just such a surprise because it's just not the Joe, no. So that I mean, all those motions came to us. And it's we we have repair work to do. I mean, clearly it's something that it did happen. And we've got a credibility gap in some places now between what we've been doing for nine years. And then what happened last week? So more to come for. All right crane. We'll sidebar on this thing to with. Why do I have some show ideas on the news? If you need some programming stuff, we we may have some Iran. I'm not I'm not sure we can afford. Welcome crane as always we appreciate your time. Thanks so much. Thanks, guys. That was our interview with the crane Kenney. The president of the cubs business say they still have a lot of work to do. I don't think there's any doubt before this thing actually gets on the air in two thousand twenty. I mean, there are some things that I'm sure going to have to be cleaned up and agreed to and it all sounds great right now, but between now, and then I'm sure it's going to be a bit of a bumpy ride. The crane in our first part of the interview about the network itself talked about how he reached out to people in in LA and also in Houston, and they started new networks and distribution issues. So they're trying to rectify that. But you know, there are some people in the business is crane told us nothing is done with all the carriers yet. They hope it will go smoothly. But there are some people we know in the TV business. You have taxed at us. Trying to make a prediction saying there may be still don't you? Don't bet the distribution issues will be solved by this time next year. I mean, let's face it. As I said to you is this was going on off the air said, look, this is this is they'd get one shot at this. You know? I mean, maybe an over exaggerate. But listen, this is the first time they've created throw network. Right. I mean, you do it. And when you do it, the you're at your height of your your popularity, obviously what has transpired whether it was with Addison Russell or Joe Ricketts emails that also is a PR issue that they're dealing with. But if you zoom out over the last five years one has his team that more popular in total, right? This is the time the right time for them to strike. So with that in mind, I'm sure as any businessman would do they're going to ask for the moon. And it may it may Dench you as a cubs fan a little bit more than you had hoped their thought, but. They're gonna they're gonna cut or they're gonna try to cut a very advantageous business deal for sure. Right. And if you follow the history of the renovations while we all love all the renovations now. And I think most people most people like everything they've done from the jumbotrons to the way they tastefully upgraded Wrigley field..

"Crane for cubs fans who live out of the market live out of town. What can you tell them about their ability or lack of ability to actually subscribe to marquee network? Yeah. So unfortunately for the out of market fans. Rules continue to apply. So the league defines for each team. What they call a home television and ours is roughly Illinois, Iowa parts of Indiana parts of Michigan parts of Wisconsin. And those are the only zip codes of it were allowed to send our game. So no different than today. We can't take a game down to you know, what Lauderdale. Seattle Washington you can buy those games through the league package so of trying to respect each team's territory. The same will be true for marquee sports net. Now, we are playing with the idea much like the yes network of taking the non live game programming. So the pre and post game shows probably our recre- show in a lot of features that will produce we are looking at taking does that program out of the market the games themselves again to do that. And you have to go through the big package. So if you're if you're lying that was I part of our interview with crane Kenney. So if you're in Seattle Washington like you said her in Florida, you get cap and no game. You just get cap. Wrapping it up for you. You'll bring back the big blue fists. Yeah. That was that those have been gone for a while. They maybe they need to combat. Yeah. You know, one thing that we did find out in that portion. And then later in the show will play this stuff about the cubs budget. The Joe record situation all of the business around Wrigley at about five. But the one thing we did learn, and I see a lot of these people reacting on Facebook, or I'm not paying extra for the cops. I get I get NBC sports net included in my sports here packaging, and you know, I'm I'm extremely well crane told us they're expecting. It's not a oil yet. They're expect expecting that to be the same here where you won't have to pay five dollars extra to to get the cops down. Right. So it will. And it'll be net net for you is that you're not going to be spending. Anything more it won't be five or six or seven hours as I as I look at it. I look at it. From this perspective. The pie is the pie in the past. They were getting a certain percentage. Now, they're not splitting their pie with anybody. They're eating their own way. I like to eat pie. Geraldino? Splitting of the pie. All the myself say will not be any slices. It will be one big marquee network. Cubs pie is what it will be. Yeah. So we'll play the rest of the crane Kenney interview. At about five o'clock, we have some fun on deck walls. World is always entertained guys. Have you noticed.

"But you you can't play to the point where he helps you win a game because we are in an environment. Where you must. You must lose to win in the position there, or at least set yourself up like I am never gonna rage. I've told this to people people think tank guy takes Selvi loves the tank, if Lowery marketing Zach LeVine, Chris Don Wendell Carter, some of these other kids that were now Otto porter go out and they play good basketball. I'm good with that. And if they happen to win so be correct. So be it. I'm not asking Lowery to not play to win not asking the coach to coach not to win. But I am asking the front office to say. All right, Jim. We may not have been able to trade Robin Lopez. They were just looking for a second round pick for from. He would have gone if they got quote second round pick. Now, all of a sudden you wanna play thirty minutes because he didn't get a second round pick. It doesn't make any. Sense last year at times you benched him this year at times you benched him because of that. And now all of a sudden you're playing him put him on the bench and just play young guys. I gave you the example of RTD academic, whatever you may think of him. Okay. We then use a real pro or not he went out there. He had how many assists double digit assist? You found him in the G league went from the G league to to guide now getting a roster spot. It robin. Lopez should not be on the team and go out and find a G league big who maybe you can mine for gold. And this isn't a shot at Robin Lopez and in any way, shape, he's a pro's pro. I've said this numerous times think about all the guys that have been found in the G league. The bulls could have had Spencer Dinwiddie they had them from the G league. They decided well, we're not going to give them much of a chance. Now, all of a sudden he signed with Brooklyn for forty million dollars. There are guys who throughout the league starting in the. League. So make your time count. If you don't if you think Felicia stinks so much even they gave him thirty two million. If you think Felicio isn't going to make guys out there better. Go out and get a G league. Beg and see if you can mine for gold with RTD or like other teams have done with young players in give that guy some Ron. And maybe in the big picture, you find another young guy, a young athlete. They could bring at the very least to camp next year, Robin. Lopez has zero value to you anymore. You're not gonna train them for anything. And he's not resigning with you during the end of the year. He is an old fashioned car. He is not a today. NBA player. He may get you some points near the hoop because he's simply just a hustle guy. But going forward he's not a part of anything you want to be in the future led the team with a plus twenty six last night. Again, I was enjoying Otto porter jR, shoot sixteen to twenty from the field. I enjoyed watching Lauri Markkanen score twenty one in and grabbed ten boards. I liked watching Levin to a couple of nice things. I liked what Archie did distributing the basketball at eleven assists. I, you know, I mean, Robin. Lopez of pros pro. Doesn't do you get it? You're not gonna catch the Atlanta Hawks which could catch the Cleveland Cavaliers going the other direction could only be a game. We're talking about percentages here. But you know, if you're gonna play the analytics game every percent helps if you're playing for ten million dollars. It's a lottery don't you want percentages in my direct analytics the best stats to support you winning it? I've never you think it's margin on competing for anything. What I want to do is put myself in the best possible position statistically and every other way to have the best chance at success. And what other people don't understand? They always think it's just about number one. If you're fourth compared to one two or three you could fall further in the draft. Then one two three, you know. And then like I said before. Dallas was out of Don such they could not trapped on such last year. But they were still fit better than seventh like the balls. They were able to trade the fifth pick and get up to three to get dancing, which like there. There's a lot that goes into this. You know, about how far you can fall the closer you are to the top three the easier. You could swing a trade for a top three pick. There's so much that goes into it put yourself just like we say all the time with our teams put yourself in best position to win in this case simply set your team up to put yourself in the best position to win the lottery. I don't know. I mean, my guess is to like you said because Robin is an old school type of player. You don't really run the pick and pop with him a ton writer. He doesn't defend that exceptionally. Well, there are a lot of things that that in today's game, maybe not his forte. So are you? Really developing your guys in a style that they're going to use going forward when he's playing the five you know, what I'm saying? I think you could still develop your guys, even if you have an a lesser talent on the floor. Whether it's Felicia, or as you said a G league guy, but. So you know for every cheer. I mean, it's I love watching auto Puerto pretty much drain everything. He put up thirty seven day, Robin gives you twenty five you end up winning by twelve and it's no longer. He's just a guy there providing leadership last night was an example of you one in part because of the performance of Robin Lopez which then statistically may alter your path in the draft. I mean, it's just connect the dots. All right. If you want to weigh in on the bulls conversation three one two three three two three seven seven six. Our interview with crane Kenney coming up at three o'clock round Machado watch for the White Sox whole lot to do today. And don't forget, our Valentine's Day competition come up with the Chicago, sports poem and tweeted to us or Email it to us. "But you get sports talk live or pre post or whatever it is. Can they do that? Yeah. So that attention and the yes network does that program other than live games. So yeah, our goal is to have sports net available nationwide. Forever. Can the live games? All right. And then there was one more somebody. I'm just looking for is marquee going to be on the olive cart portion or the main basic cable when you get these deals done. Yeah. So our goal was the to have it included the basic package again. Those conversations are just getting with with every table distributor, and satellite distributor, of course, over the top providers. So that would be our goal, but those conversations just again crane. Appreciate the knowledge. You got a bunch of great questions answered. Thank you for the time. Okay. Cap to take care of them. You see? There you go crane Kenney, the president of the Chicago cups. So I hope I answered everybody's questions. I mean, I had a ton of them and went through and asked as much as I could programming. He says Sinclair will have nothing to do in terms of the content of the programming. They will jointly sell together. You cannot watch the channel in terms of game coverage outside that area. But you could get the channel for the rest of the program. Interesting. So did he say we're not going to be able to see the concerts it sounded as if the musicians are not on board with that. But it did sound like maybe somebody like Eddie Vedder could have have something to do with some programming on there. But the biggest takeaway for me cab. Yeah. How? Any sitting to my left? Excel. He just said it. I think we. For that. He is talking about the post game shows in the past. We're sending it to the news. We're gonna get confirmed. Why are you blushing? You make me laugh yet, this defeat her and Berg and rose. Stop stop.

"The cubs have signed a deal with Sinclair broadcasting group to distribute it, but the cubs will be in charge of the contact crane Kenney is president of the Chicago Cubs on the business side. And he joins us now here on ESPN one thousand crane good morning. Are you excited to take these next step, and what was it like to finally get this deal put together? Good morning. Nice beginning for the network. But in some ways, you know, one of the one of the last legs of the journey. We've been on to turn around this organization, and you're you're in Arizona. So you remember the days of our players eating bologna sandwiches on a picnic table in front of a weight room that was about the size of your closet. Just a few years ago. Now, obviously training at Sloan clerk. One of the best in in in in the game. The same kind of media stuff for ten years. We've been rolling back. Planet for it. And the idea is to just move move the organization forward in that. And we're really excited if some close apartment. All right. So there's I threw it out to the listeners to send me questions. And I got a ton of them. I want to get through as as we can't while we have you people want to know now that this is a reality, and it will start next year sometime between cubs can mention and putting the spring training games on will they have to have cable to get the channel. Or will? They be able to buy it in another way. Yeah. No, no different than today. The expectation is if you choose to if you're one of those folks is cut the cord you choose to get your programming treats, Hulu or YouTube or slaying or lose. So many people were getting our current games on NBC sports, Chicago, all those means will still be available for you to get about sports network next year. So an extra. It's a good question. Captain kind of points to the changes going on in the landscape is enough to remember that all all live sports used to be on over the air television. So because games in Chicago were all on WGN. And folks started getting satellite and cable games migrated over first the Fox Sports Chicago. And then ultimately NBC sports. And then you're seeing this next step where we're live programming belief. Just gotta deal with dasm you're seeing Amazon others come on board to to beat it bidders for live sports rights. And I think that's just continues. I think we're kind of in the third inning of I've seen that'll happen. So I think overtime. Excited with good technology partner. Like Sinclair would be able to bring games to our fans. However, they want the best access. Sinclair is a group that owns I think one hundred seventy one one hundred and Eighty-one somewhere in that number of TV stations plus the tennis channel, but they also known for a right wing slant, politically, so people are asking will they have say on the programming or are they simply a distributor. Yeah. It's another programming will be led by the cubs organization. And and you know, we started cubs productions for years ago to get ready for this. So last year, we actually won three Emmys for some of the work that comes productions did into another programming will be in our hands distribution will be in their hands. And I've seen some of the narrative on social media row of worry about like when bias, and I'd say, it doesn't exist on the tennis channel if you watch any of their programming there. There's no news bias. I'd also point out, you know, whether you're right. Wing or left wing. Fox was with the FOX channel Fox News channel has a right wing agenda. You don't see any of that creeping into their NFL broadcast or the FOX broadcasts of major league baseball for that matter and the same with NBC, you know, so you don't you don't see Tucker Carlson showing up in in any of the FOX major league baseball broadcast, and you won't see any of that with marquee sports network either. So that really is not a word. In terms of cost per subscriber. There's been a lot made about it in different articles. Whether it's going to cost this. I think ESPN is north of seven dollars NBC sports Chicago's north four dollars. Do you have a cost point yet in place? Yeah. So we don't we don't have anything to share right now. I think folks should focus on the realities here on it today. What happens is, you know, the cable companies are paying NBC to carry our channel. But they're also paying WGN to carry WGN has a hundred and fifty five kms between the bulls. Blackhawks white socks and Cup. So WGN gets paid by the cable guys as ABC no has has twenty five games. So if you think about what's going to happen going forward is the cable companies will will megotiating with NBC about carrying the channel without the cubs. And then they'll be negotiating us to carry marquee sports network. And then they'll also probably be adjusting what they pay to WGN, but they won't have sports and ABC as well. So what really happens you just you just reallocation of dollars already in the marketplace today, they're going to three different locations. Those sports will be going to really just two locations with NBC sports net show all that will play out in the next year. So, but I don't think it is a reaction that this'll cost fans more. I'm not sure that's what's going to actually be true. Talking to cubs. President crane Kenney here on the new TV deal. Marquee sports that was announced on Wednesday. Rachel senate. Tweeden questions on this deal with Sinclair will we be able to livestream game is part of the paid television subscription who will be selling the commercial time the cobs or someone else. And are there any constraints on who can advertise on your network? Sure. So in order you will. You will be able to stream the games just like you do today. So if you're a subscriber that has NBC sports net, Chicago and have the live streaming app. Open. You can you can watch games in the same thing. We'll be true from team sports net. In terms of will be selling the advertising. It's actually a joint effort. They have a terrific sales team. It's clear we also launch marquee sports and entertainment to see two years ago now, and so it'll be a joint effort to to sell the Adam story, and there will be no restrictions on who does business with us. So we're we're actually excited about the idea of being able to bring more of what our MSA team does to our current partners in the ballpark's that'd be think of you know, moving and wintrust and American Airlines Bush, you know, being able to tie ins as well as all the fixes issues. We have at Wrigley just a new avenue for us. Samir wants to know if WGN has any opportunity to license back any of the games from you. You will own all the games. Obviously. Would you ever say we might air a few or a handful on WGN television? Yeah. I think I think it's unlikely I think for for the time being, you know, one of the things we do like this. If you're looking to find the cubs games today, and I'm not not including the ESPN and FOX twenty chosen by the national networks. You know, we could be five different channels could have you know, one day. We might be on that we might be on ABC we could be on Comcast. Or I guess NBC. Now, if there's a conflict, we could be unsealed TV screen. You know, it's interesting in the spring when the bulls and Blackhawks are playing the same time that clubs in the White Sox are now we can get pushed to cross channel. So we're we're all over the dial one of advantages of this new deal is we're gonna have all our games at one place. So just a lot easier for fans to find it find our game. So I don't think there's a an opportunity for WGN games. But but you never know. Jeff wants to know we'll cubs. Minor league games. Be shown on your new channel. Yeah. We we've looked at that. Wrestling with this really want to improve the quality of our production. So with new technology you're seeing and you'll see this year that the quality with obviously television technology improving. Ability to bring what they call. Try caster cameras better. I'm the games to really focus on high quality, including spring training games, the problem, and we go into the minor league ballparks is the technology's not there. So the answer is we don't know we're gonna we're gonna look at the opportunity to bring some games to the channel. But we would really only do it. It's the quality of the production was was good enough. So kind of an answer answering that question. Danny wants to know will the concerts at Wrigley be air. Can you put those on the channel? So the usually with list the artist they're not that easier for some of their live shows to to leave the leave the stage. So because obviously in the businesses sell takes us to come see their life live shows dirt books just did a show at Notre Dame. Last year that was quite popular on CBS. So we have talked about the intersection of of live music and sports at Wrigley. Something we've been benefiting some over the last decade, whether there are some times, and clearly we have some performance or performance huge fans. Like, Eddie better. Who's in the ballpark a lot, you know with their be more likely outside the games. But inside the broadcast windows, some with music could be an points out to some of the fun things that happen on this channel that now that we're unrestricted in terms of time frame, I think one of the things that we suffer from the day, especially on over the air television, where they never dedicated windows for news and other things is you know, we watch game. You know, let's say you have a really exciting finish David Bodey walk-off game. But you have to cut right to the local news after the game ends doesn't really give us an opportunity to explore. So the second story, which is the players reaction to the. Some of the fans reaction to the game the new channel because we won't have any conflicts in terms of network programming or other teams about the because sometimes what happens when you have a couple in twenty game. It moves right into a White Sox start is you know, you have to cut away from our game, especially if there's extra innings, so this this will be flexible when think are the post the post game when it needs to especially with you at the helm has a chance to go further and explore some of the second and third stories happen with each with each game. So music, I'm not so sure, but I think in terms of of our coverage our team, you know, there'll be no limitations in. Here's a couple. So I've got multiple people who are listening now that do not live in the Chicago area. We've got one from South Carolina. Another one is says, I'm a huge cubs fan. I live in Saint Louis will I be able to buy this channel. They said the guy said, I have no problem paying for it. But can I get it? Yeah. So unfortunately, the rules that so the league defined each team's home television territory and show thirty clubs now we overlap with the White Sox here. But so each team has a territory urges roughly defined by Iowa, Illinois parts of Indiana parts of south west Michigan. Wisconsin. There has we're allowed to take the games without the league's approval. So that so our channel constrained, so the the person who's down in South Carolina with not channel from are. They wouldn't be able to get the extra innings package from the beach to watch out games. But our channel itself will be confined to the home television today. That's no different than NBC WGN today. Could they get the non game programming? Like, a you can get direct TV six sixty five few live anywhere. If you buy the updated sports package, you can get NBC sports, Chicago, just not get the games..
