Cubs extend their winning streak to 4 behind Alec Mills' 7 innings of 3-hit ball in a 2-0 victory over the Royals
"Baseball games last night. Cubs rolling along behind Alec Mills cheese Guy's been fabulous, gave up two runs to Nick Castano's In Cincinnati, and that was it seven shutout yesterday. Cubs went to nothing. And I loved again, David Ross. Not being wedded to. He's my closer. I got to give the ball the correct Kimbrough because I don't give it to Craig Kimbrel. What am I saying? David Ross absolutely says that a Joe Madden impression is that what you were doing yesterday, you say wasn't professional. And now that's the voice. I did not say He wasn't professional. Yes, you did. But that's the Joe Maddon voice you're using. Well, who is that? That was just mean. Maybe. Maybe in funny. I I'm just telling you Most managers would have gotten on paying him $68 million. That's my closer. I got to give him a baseball. What do you want me to do? I can only put out there who they give me. You know that voice that you do? It sounds like you're pinching your nose as you do the voice, But you're not. It's quite the skill. Isn't that how he sounds standing? Yeah. How do you do that? You're like, you know, like it Sounds like you're pinching your nose easily. I'm not pinching my nose. All I know is that gave me a 16 million Now they're closer. And I got important man. That's what you want me to do. What I like to do

"That joe man loves uses bet she loves to change the lineup and that's that's part of today's game to that's not something that's unusual but when you don't have the bench guys that are producing like they happened in the past suddenly now using those different lineups trying to play matchups guys that you know oh can hit lefties better or hit a certain type of pitch better when when they're coming out and then there's just outperforming the bullpen wasn't as deep. It's deeper than it was to start the union. There's no doubt about that but the fact is they didn't address some of these needs into winter and that's because events closes payroll and maybe money was mismanaged early in previous off seasons but in my opinion that shouldn't be an issue in the middle of a window attention. Jesus seasons don't come up very often hear contending fix a hole in the winter no matter to call it. You have to take care of the winter. You can't say we'll address that come the deadline. I will say they did a great job at the deadline. They added the pieces that they need it right now. They're hit with a bunch of injuries. Brandon cancer should be activated today craig kimbrel out he is out that that play a role in yesterday's game in my opinion when you don't have your orders in the bullpen that's another reason why for me i would have leaned towards going sticking with garbage <hes> but yet they're just not as deep of a team as they normally have been and for me that when i see that i see a roster that that has some polls also a lineup that very similar <hes> a lot of batteries can be exposed in a similar fashion russian part of the reason why they went and got cassiano another reason why they miss bend sober <hes> different type of hitter can help this lineup a lot too well and that is maybe what we'll help them right. Now is is going to pittsburg pittsburg spin rotten since the all-star break but you talked about it and that is when you you talk about depth in a lineup. I think the cubs depth in the overall lineup is probably okay but once you get through that if you get the starting pitcher out of the game in chicago with the injuries stories that you just talked about with kinsley and see shak and not pitching right now for them the covering credibly vulnerable once you get out out of the starting pitching. I don't know how that plays into october. One of the cubs are going to play into october. That's got to be a concern and it can't be addressed. Yeah yeah if they if they're healthy. They should be good. You add kimbrel see shack and <hes> chancellor to this bullpen suddenly looks a lot better call right and had a rough night last night but he's he's been locked down left. He's been really impressive. Soft contact doesn't walk a lot of guys. That wasn't the case yesterday so you know it looks a lot worse when you magnified with such a terrible loss. I think the bullpen ten be solid. If it's healthy you have to do kimbro can be kimbrell and that is the is healthy and cancer is just been. I'm great this year absolutely nails and he's the guy that.

"What's the bigger concern about Kimbrell is it the rust from not pitching, all these months? Or is it the way he closed the season probably a little bit of both done going into the post season last year? We thought to things the Red Sox could not win it all. If a Chris sale wasn't horse in criminal couldn't find themselves. Neither of those things happen Red Sox still what at all Tom. You guys touched on it in the open. You look at the strikeouts innings pitched the walks. Over three hundred saves the back of this baseball. Does you this card tells you he's been the one of the best in the last ten to fifteen years, not with that are there consume conservative course are one thing that we have seen more so than ever? There aren't very many early on Rivera's. There are many Trevor Hoffman's do it every year. You're seeing the same guy over and over. Because a little bit this year, a roller Shelvin wasn't looks a little bit last year. It's the fickle world of that night thing with that, son. I the reason I think it works for the company. Craig kimbrel. It's never struck me as a guy that likes to pitch multiple innings, and I think the way that Joe maddening he meant just kind of old school conventional way you back, everybody up now, scope will be comfortable in the eighth inning. If multiple options. I don't think the cubs are going to ask him very rarely will they ask him to get more than three hours. And I think that became an issue with the Red Sox last year because they were they were really trying to put some things together. And I don't think Craig Kim is very comfortable pitching more than three out safe. But I don't think the cubs are going to ask him to do that very often anyway, then police act from the MLB network. Joining us Lynn Sylviane ESPN, one thousand the big buzzword in the NBA or buzz term. Danny is load management guys are pitching or playing less. In order to be better when it's go time. So do you believe that maybe the rest whether or not he's rusty at the beginning? Could alternately help kimbrel in the cubs down the stretch one thousand percent. I really do because every reliever you're gonna go through two or three scratches a year. It it happens with every guy on every team where. In the month of may. You're in like eight of twelve games in their highlights games, then you'll go for a couple of weeks, where Doppler -tunities aren't there? You're picking games innings worth it. Normally those don't go very well very rarely. Do you see closer? They need to get a day's work. Like it ain't a couple of runs or it's an inning twenty seven twenty eight pitches. And it's kind of that, that the sword you walk on his manager. Like, do I want to get him in to get him sharp? I think with question down the creek Kimball that the cubs are going to get think right now. It should be able to and from everybody that I've talked to he keeps himself a good steak he thought a lot in the winter in a lot so far early spring and early summer. I don't think the arm build up the issue is going to be getting game ready getting that elbowing shoulder firing staff. Switch like it needs to do to throw ninety eight one hundred miles an hour. That's gonna come with time. But I. Think they're getting guy now that they can just load that starting gate and send the right on down the road when he's ready to go. I think he's gonna be ready to go the rest of the way I will say this would Craig kimbrel is on. You're gonna love his fastball ninety six hundred miles an hour. He's consistently ninety seven ninety eight bucks when he's on early. He has a buckling Kirpal trying to curb all that. They can tell you what's coming. And he looked precise each three times in a row. The TD Kimbrell is commanding the fastball in the strikes at times. He last year. He reminded me a little bit of Carlos mama. Remember all marble was four consistent. I thought going to breaking ball precise, that's only fastball for strikes and at times when Kimble's going bad. He gets that way too. But if he's doing strikes, he's going to be as good at really picture. Is you guys have seen the last twenty years to your when he's on. He's the best in baseball. How about that? So they look the cubs have gotten their guy, and it helps everybody in the bullpen Dan police from the MLB network. Did you hear how the team found out the news of the Kimbrell signing? I did not. So we'd happen when they were playing. Right. So story goes, I'm reading it from the tech maybe Jesse can expand on it. The story goes it shorter. Goes back to the video room to rewatch his single. He goes, but, you know they go back and they watch a lot of the there at bats right after it happens. He singles, he goes back to the video room and he. Years, lend Casper's voice over the television announced that Ken Rosenthal is reporting that the cubs are agreed with Craig kimbrel. So according to Jon Greenberg, soc Warburg budding physical. Hang he said, so he said, then everyone of fans were even shouting into the dugout Kimbrell you got Kimbrell. So one of those trades that really gets you excited when you find trade assigning these huge boost for this team and I don't think anyone in the bullpen is offended by it, obviously, it allows everyone now to fill a role that they're more well suited to fill. So after hearing what you're hearing. How Jack are you three one two three three two three seven seven six? We'll take your comes calls. What else do you want to do with this team? Closer Craig Kimbrel, Cubs finalize $43M, 3-year deal
"Big news for baseball fans. The Chicago Cubs signed relief pitcher Craig kimbrel yesterday. He was the Red Sox closer that was still on the market because he wanted a lot of money. And this is bizarre thing, the cubs were able to afford him because one of their players wives is a tramp. So Ben zobrist the hero of the World Series run back in two thousand sixteen the MVP according to divorce documents his wife, cheated on him and they're going through a nasty divorce. Benzel breast has not played baseball for the cubs in months, he's on a personal leave of absence. Meaning he is not getting paid. The cubs can keep that money because they personal leave. So what the cubs of done is take that money. That was supposed to go to Ben zobrist along with some other money, and they went out and got the best available closer on the market. So because Ben's Obama's wife cheated on him. They were able to afford to upgrade the bullpen. That's awful for so brisk. He must be going through something awful, then if he's taking a leave of absence in coming back on it, now it looks like he's not going to come back because, honestly, the cubs of giving away his money now. So it's a bizarre situation and I hate to see go out like that. He was a hero fans. He deserved to go out on better terms than that. But at the same time, I will absolutely take

"We'll talk to Sarah Lang's I what about the cub signing Craig kimbrel. Let's get to it. Nightingale covers baseball for USA today. We're speaking to them for Phoenix on Thursday morning. And Bob finally Craig kimbrel signs. I think a big relief. Everybody in baseball. At least one of the two big free agents comes off the board. Yeah. It's amazing is taking this mom. I think just a case of price themselves to begin market, and nobody wanted to touch it. I don't think the labor and the draft conversation with that big thing. I really don't. I think it was just people don't think he was worth the money. He was asking. Yeah. Let's face it, if the bedroom versus in how the leave Apso it's the cubs aren't in the thing, either in Graham. Yeah, let's dig into that part of it. It was interesting because I was texting back and forth with some executives with various teams once said to me boy, that is a big risk. Another text me said, you know, nice deal for the cubs, and you would assume that they're logic is like this, a, obviously, they got a big hole at the back of their bullpen. Brandon Moro is playing catch. But nobody knows if he's going to pitch again they've struggled with their bullpen. They have cash available. You made reference the fact that Benz over a leave of absence. I don't think there's any. Any expectation necessarily is gonna come back and play, we'll have to wait and see. But because he's away from the team they don't have to pay him. And so they've got this cash available. They have a number of expiring contracts at the end of the year. And they're feeling might be. Hey, you know what you've got this guy has been an all star. He's been on a hall of fame subject. Three hundred thirty three career saves. We can bring them.

"This scoop out yesterday. The cubs reached an agreement with mobile Christopher mobiles mobile, Alabama mobile Alabama Christian catcher. Ethan Hearn he was their sixth round pick, but he is receiving second round money and he will forego his scholarship to Mississippi State. He's considered the best high school catcher in the entire draft was considered a very difficult sign. But by the cubs, taking someone at twenty seven who was rated a little lower. They can give him a lower amount of money. So the sixth round catcher gets second round money, and he is committed to the cubs. That is a great addition. There you go. So we'll see how it works out. What number do you think kimbro wears? It was forty six wasn't. He thought. Yes. He's forty six. Numbers are my thing is Forty-six. I believe it was fifty six Danny, what number was kimbrel in Boston. I think he was forty six forty six I do take I'm going to say forty six. I'll have to look that up much. No numbers says he's a numbers because I am a numbers. He's been Forty-six every place being goal was four fifty six or fifty eight. I believe tropes, forty six isn't he? Yes. So two stroke give up his number or does kimbrel takers. You're asking a lot of stroke. To relinquish, what was semi his role as the closer here in the in between time. And now the jersey. And I think there's zero percent chance that happens. Does he does? He say stroke, a man how much you want. I'm sure but that happens everywhere. Yeah. I think it ends up. Stroke keeps us number and kimbrel takes new mine. I mean how long how long stroke been around in the majors? Guess how many years I don't know how long he was in Baltimore. He's been cub since twenty thirteen. Okay. And how long's kimbrel been leak while? Yes cameras, a hall of Famer Yama say stroke keeps his number. I think if he asks Strope. Strope has worn other numbers he will sixty sixty four and forty seven so maybe the number doesn't mean that much to him. Yeah. I'm going to say stroke, keeps forty six okay? Those are always the greatest stories like the numbers guys, refusal to give them up and stuff like that creates tips at film ask you something if you're coming in as a new reliever, you're Craig kimbrel. They're like came in Pedro once keep forty six he's like, yeah. I don't even want it. It's his number. I'm not taking it away. A lot of guys are like that. What number would you pick what number would I pick up 'cause I know what I picked ninety nine man. Yeah. I pick sixty nine. Gronk. I think it'd be. Even know what that means. I mean what a juvenile response out of you. I'm gonna take it away. When I like the setup too long setup. If a dollar was the new religion choke you just award away into a dollar. You can I wear four twenty. I'm look for the cricket sound effect. Trying to try to save you here, aren't you? Glad the cubs don't have a stupid beard rule in place. I don't think that was going to stop it. I don't think that's kimbro would have shaved. Okay. Well, but his fans we didn't have to worry about it. Because we should that rule. Now Danny's barging into for candidate two minutes of bad jokes. Okay. Sixty nine as injured asked me what you, I would wear espionage. A drink every day that inside. Why man? SP. Four. What would we wear come on? And give us our numbers. Take time out, Jesse Rogers will join us. It was pretty clear yesterday. I don't think it's happening. It did Craig kimbrel cub..
Cubs reach deal with 7-time All-Star closer Craig Kimbrel
"Did you know the cubs are third in major league baseball with eleven blown saves third worst when it comes to blown saves in baseball eleven of them just for a second there think about how different their record could look if they didn't blow half of those games. Let's say they only have five blown saves. You're talking about already getting to forty wins being among the best, not just in the National League. But in major league baseball. And so to address this issue. Theo Epstein of the cubs goes out and finally gives Craig kimbrel. A new home Craig kimbrel who wanted to be a hundred million dollar man has settled, I'm using air quotations here. He settled for a three year deal option for a fourth forty three million dollars. Was it worth the seven-month awake? Well, only Craig kimbrel cancer that question. Seven months of free agency probably a ton of angst. But he'll earn ten billion to go through the rest of this season with the Chicago Cubs, and then fifteen million dollars each in twenty twenty and then twenty twenty one. It's I think a huge bargain for the cubs. When you consider what he was asking for right? Part of the reason that he was unsigned for so long is because it's asking price. He wanted it to be seven figures seven figures, he wanted to be nine figures. It's only eight math. He wanted two hundred million. But there was no team out there willing to give him that. I think it's better to play baseball for forty three million then to not play baseball at all. But what do I know? Hill report to the cubs for his physical on Thursday and the idea right now is that he'll be ready to pitch within two weeks? The scene had made comments after the news broke before he did admit that they had interest in Craig kimbrel, and that it was kind of a bonus for them. This point in the season. There are usually quality free agents. Just lying

"When you try to execute a series of those deals. Yeah. That's fair. At a I think that's that's completely fair. And these offices are are, you know, not only smart, but there's there's a discipline that they bring, you know, I do think that it's one of the things that shifted, and I don't know that it's it's a good thing every single time. But there's a I mean, it's really clinical and disciplined, and it is it is so process-based. I mean, so process we were gonna stay in this process. Meaning is a free agent on the market. What do we all you that free agent that we've Al Youm at us years for X amount of money? And if the AJ comes in says will we do it we've out you him at plus one year and plus the team million dollars. Thanks, great to talk to you. Never. Again. I mean, like, I I'm saying that extreme matter. But there really is that aspect of it. There's just no emotional because I do think I think every once in a while where it's law is you're better off with the player most of the time, or at least a lot of the time. You know, what I mean that that like it's where it gets interesting like in credit Kimble's case is. These teams make the decision they build a team they say it'll take ninety one wins for us to win a playoff spot. And we built a team that has good enough to win ninety two and a half game. And Craig kimbrel would add a win or win and a half for the rest of the year. I've just I'm making this all up, but they they are not if they built it if they say the playoffs will take ninety one win did they built and team that will get them ninety two and a half when they are not interested in giving them in paying to give themselves a buffer that may increase their to like once they're past the threshold the Natal's see value in adding that guy more often than now. And I think that at times that can be logged. But I'm, but it's interesting is heck, and I and I respect it. I really do. I totally agree with you. We got about four minutes. Left along those lines of what you said we actually got this bleach or tweet for you. This is from Schultz at bench dolts twelve. He writes, boop said last week that teams use analytics to know, exactly. How many wins they need to win their division? Does that mean team such as Colorado are Oakland resigned to competing for the wildcard or they just hoping to catch lightning in a bottle bougie want to answer that? Yeah. I mean, look, I think that there is a matter of what there is. There is certainly a matter of what. What they'll say externally? But there absolutely is known as having projection on how many games that they will win. They were aware that they may not win that many games. I mean, for example, the two thousand thirteen Boston Red Sox. I believe their internal projection system had them winning like eighty six games ended up winning. I think ninety four and women division. So again, it you know stuff. But yes, they absolutely sit there and Billy beam David forced have built a team that I would assume is saying they're in house projection is we're gonna win X amount of games. And they have a projection that says the Astros are going to win more games. So like for sure they're sitting there saying our way in that we built a wildcard level team. And my guess would be the Jeff right? It's it's the same thing this year. But they I don't believe that. They that they built a team where their projection system says that they're going to win as many games at the dodgers. I think that their expectation. They're not it's not like a hundred percent of the rest of their patient is yes, they'll be competing for the wild card. Not the division. And as we speak negatively, it's time to talk about the Marlins, okay in April, or I don't even know who you are anymore. I I know can have can be done in the face by beat..

"Do you think? You could probably pitch that. Well, of course, he could. But here's the thing. If Craig kimbrel is still sitting out there. We're now five games into the major league season. And he still unsigned. He's not unsigned because teams don't fuck in one. M he's unsigned because they they don't want to meet his unrealistic demands for what he wants it for. They're going to be that team that you know, what how years eighty million they'll say that. I also this. If the brewers don't kick the tires, and it's the brewers do not even mildly entertain a conversation with Craig kimbrel. I think that will be the slap across the face for kimbrel in his camp going. All right. This is a team. That's clearly the position to contend. They don't even want to sniff me right now, we've got to adjust. All right. This is like they just lost their fucking guy. There just lost their guy. He's done for the year. And they, you know, maybe they've got options internally, but like I'm not even on their radar at this point. And it has to be because like you said of the demands, so I think that would be. The thing that snaps his head around that gets him and his camp to go. All right. Look if you wanna play baseball this season. This is where we're going to have to meet these squats. There's going to be there's going to have to what I wanna touch on with this with this stuff, though is the idea that this was his decision. Okay. And he he spoke about this. And I wanna just kinda read read some quotes here. He said I've had the information now for a week. I couldn't just decide right away. It sucked that it was my decision. I hated that. I really wished the doctor would have just said here's what we're doing. The fact is everyone was saying the same thing. It was my decision up to me. That's what made it tough. And the reason that that is so tough oaks is because you get to the big leagues, you get to this level with a lot of lying to yourself with a lot of just denying. What's obvious? What's? Real and sometimes that's pain. Sometimes that's people being better than you around you in the room, and you just happen to put these blinders on and and keep it moving keep it truckin head down. That's not paying that's weakness leaving the body. That's not pain. That's weakness, leaving the body and. When you're forced to to make that because this is a life changing decision. Life changing this is like picking who you're gonna marry saying yes, or no. Where are we gonna live like this is a big fucking deal, man? And it's on him essentially because he's been able to perform without it. Right. But like we gotta think about the future here. So the mental when you talk about the mental we heard Marcus, Stroman, use that phrase might mental thing about the mental anguish that a player goes through over the course of a season think about having to make this sort of decision because it almost feels like the doctors were like, well, you know, maybe a, but they're also sort of looking at him while they're saying this going, but we really kind of know how this don't we? And it sucks that he has to make that decision himself. The other the one note, I'll say on this too. Is that like you guys touched on it? His season was very up and down in two thousand eighteen but the way that it ended I think influence the expectations that the brewers had for him entering this year. Like, it's not just a guy who had a four yard that they're missing from their bullpen like his performance down the stretch. And in the postseason last year would have led them to believe that like, yeah, we've got hater. And we also have this fucking dominant arm twenty six and a third innings one run any seven to six strikeout-to-walk ratio from September through the end of the postseason batters he had nine face ninety batters they hit eighty six one seventy eight one thirty six against him. So he was literally for this small sample the most dominant reliever in baseball, and they don't have him. That's I didn't realize that dominant down the end they're up by one through nine postseason appearances..

"In season and comparing it to the success that Roger Clements had with his in-season contracts at the end of his career. Does it seem like Craig kimbrel? Could make a case that his negotiating leverage could be even higher in season than during the offseason. I see an odd leverage curve that may be at its lowest right about now, but will continue to rise until approaching the front in the season where he couldn't be added to a playoff roster than steadily declining. I think that if there were fifteen Craig kimbrel 's doing this every year, they would well, then you maybe have a glut on of of Craig Kimble's on the market. So maybe that would backfire, but I think that the theory that is being espoused. Here is true, except it would not be in the reality. We live in because it would be seen as as to risk. It would be to anomalous. I think. Player teams would be less eager to sign a player who hadn't been playing particularly. After the narrative that came out of last year's free agent crop where the players who who signed really late into spring training or even into the season really struggled to get to game speed. And to the long time to to be good. So I think there would be a lot of concern about going and getting Craig kimbrel who had been inactive for the season as opposed to going out and getting a player who you could see on the field that week pitching. Really? Well, so the concept would have to be kinda proven by like like there was a Craig Kimball who did this every year than by year four. I think it might be true. But it is enough of a precedent to now I'm gonna go to unique too long ago to unique and wasn't. He only good once when he did it didn't he do that twice in one year? It was bad. A couple times say he was bad either time, but I think he was much better. One time. That he only do that with the Yankees. No, he did it with the Astor's too. I mean, he was pretty good up until his very last season. I guess which he probably that's one of the times. He did it. I guess right. And he was pretty good for forty four year old, but not difference making really. Yeah, he his assuming that he did this both the last two years he in his final full season. He won the Cy Young award. He finished third Cy Young voting. He had a one point eight seventy RA. And then the next year he did a half season..

I just shake my head thinking these are two reagents that are only twenty six years old how can four teams not be knocking on their door. And I tell you, you know, I was thinking about this Jodi. And I mean, it's the old hot stove Lee is is usually what helps feed fan interest. And it's just been so tepid, I think was your word. Last couple of years. And you know, what it reminds me of it's beginning to remind me of the season. We've reached a point last couple of years. How much are we talking led by Commissioner? Rob Manfred about all the dead time in the game. And is that a problem or is that not a problem? You know, we reached were strikeouts and walks can consist of about thirty percent of e of at ads across the league. And we reach a point where baseball's really examining itself because there's too much dead time during games. Well, you know, what's happened? That's just moved into the winner. Now same thing as we talk about during the year. It's just too much dead time. Baseball's going to have to to itself up a little bit. And it because right now between the dead time during the season and at that time of the hot stove league. It is not generating the excitement that it should be generating. All right. I'll go worst case scenario Harper and Machado both go all the way into spring training. And they take the best deals that they can kinda like what I JD Martinez did last year, and he didn't get a bad deal. And he got early opt-outs if he goes nuts and can go back onto the free agent market. But certainly less than most baseball guys like yourself and me and everybody else who make predictions on these things thought his overall contract was going to be saved happens for both of those guys this Boris is it a world and not just going to let this slide. They're gonna claim collusion. They're gonna say baseball screwing the players they make more money than ever before. Does it have any carryover effect? Or does this is all just spouting from the mount until we get to our next collective bargaining agreement. And then are we looking at a potential work stoppage? Yeah. I mean, that's what worries me is. I think we're starting down that path. I mean, I I don't think you know. I mean look at Evan longoria yesterday. I think it was yesterday. Right. Might have been two days. I think it was yesterday when he posted on Instagram, and it got some playing social media, you know, kind of a plead the team say it's talking about how you know. Look, I can't believe that this many good talented players are just sitting in that there's no action on them. And as you pointed out, and I think, you know, I don't want to say that Instagram post and social media posts was on behalf of the players sociation. But you know, the players sociation thinking the same thing like Goria pointed out that this is dangerous time because as as analytics have. Has moved into all front office offices. What you do when you're value at all the players by computers is laborious point. Was you know, every front office is devaluing players, and they're letting them through computer programs, and they're all looking at this. These are the reasons we should not pay a this a few million bucks to this player or two that player or obviously in Harper Machado case, these are reasons we shouldn't pay three hundred million to them. And I find that an interesting post from my Gloria, I know a lot of players echo that I think the players union does I think they're looking hard at this. We heard so much that last winter was slow, but part of it might be because teams were saving money to spend this winter because we all do their three agents available this winter. And so far that's not happened. That's not to say we couldn't have a last month sprint to the finish line. Where all of a sudden money goes crazy, but it's not looking good agreed. Tomorrow hot stove. And then I want to ask about the hall of fame ballot. Craig kimbrel. Still not signed Machado and Harper the two biggest free agents. I'd say Kimble is probably the third. Biggest left out there. I defended kimbro all off season. Because I think people went nuts, so overstated his shortcomings in the postseason. He did not blow a save in the postseason. He was six foot six in save opportunities. Put run a John Jay Leno run score when they were up by or three game mighty given some red sock fans. But he got the job done. Every single time is his market is slow as it is. Because he was looking for too much to begin with that he really is paying a price for that off season postseason work, or is it just again something in baseball. The Dave now clamped down and said every innings all the same. So we're not paying more for the night. I a little bit of all of the above. I think you know, we heard again, we won't know until Craig kimbrel. Maybe decides one day, and maybe it's spring training or April may confirm or deny remember there was a report in early in the off season kimbro was looking for a ten year deal that even for closers greatest kimbrel. Ten years seems pretty out there because we all know the the most volatile market is relief pitching market. And they're very darn few. Mariano Rivera is where guys is holds. Greatness for ten or more years. So I don't know if that report is accurate, and again, it'll be interesting eventually when we can talk to Craig kimbrel and find out what it is or not, you know, that would suggest maybe he he's he's he started a little bit too high in his expectations. But that said I think there are some team scared off by the post season. I would argue kimbrel had a little bit of a shaky September. And there was some talk that he was tipping pitches. And I think you know, I covered the Red Sox Houston Surrey's. And that's when that came up and the Red Sox were like, we're not worried at all about kimbro we determined. We think he's he's tips and pitches, we've got it fixed. He's going to be fine. And as you know, there's blow save in the postseason. So I think there's a little bit of wariness because of some of the shakiness, but I think that had more to do with tipping pitches than it had to do. Do with you old Craig kimbrough's yesterday's news. So that all that said, I think those are some reasons that I also think yeah, I mean with with front offices again everybody now is is leads on analytics, and there's some that is hey, the ninth innings the same as the seventh inning. No. We don't need to pay a guy that much money just close by Bennie. So I think kimbrough's getting hit from multiple directions on all of this. Got into a little debate on this earlier today your perfect guy to ask because you know, what you're talking about. And be you don't have a dog in the fight. Who's got the better starting rotation going into two thousand nineteen solely for the two thousand nine hundred nine season. If you could go to war with one of these two rotations, which one would you choose to Graham, Syndergaard Wheeler, Matt's Vargas or Severino Tanaka. Paxton hap-, Sobat, dear. That's that's a really good question. I think that that could be a good barroom debate for many many years. I think if we're saying everybody's healthy. Let's assume good health. I make Mets. It's so hard to go wrong. I mean, the degrom and Syndergaard if they're who we think they are the Yankees don't have that as a one to atop their rotation. So I would lean. That's I like the James Paxton accusation acquisition for the Yankees. But again health, you know, he's a guy that has been able to make it all the way through the year. The last couple of years without going on the DL if you can that's going to increase the stock of the Antes rotation if he's healthy all year. But you know, if if we're talking good health all the way around it's hard for me, not veer toward a rotation starts with with Senator Nancy. I went Yankees because I don't know it will matter yet. Neither one is at a full year. Year in the big leagues. And I need to see that. Yes. Grounds. One debatable. Syndergaard and Severino to even if you go Syndergaard second, I take Paxton over Wheeler hap- over mad since about the over Vargas. That's why I went Yankees. But it's really is a one debates. I did you make public your fame. Ballot yet. I haven't yet. I did vote. I haven't yet because wait until closer tell I we're almost to the day Tuesday. But yeah, it'd be interesting. I think obviously everybody wants to know his Mariano Rivera gonna be unanimous. I'm the troublemakers a group. I mean, I will say yes, I did vote for him no-brainer. I'm hoping he's not unanimous simply because I love sitting back and watching debate, you know, what if Arianna Rivera just in at ninety nine percent of the vote. He's a hall of fame or you don't have to have one hundred percent. I think it's quirky that nobody ever had one hundred percent. But I don't know who the guys were looked at papers. I don't think he's a hall of Famer tab vote for him Ted Williams, and I'm not going to check this box. It's nuts that none of these guys have been one hundred percent. I think it's an oddity that I hope continues. All right last thing on a hall of fame ballot. As a guy who has hosted shows in New York here for decades, always said about Mike Messina and Andy Pettitte, both very close. But both just short for me. It at least on the ballot to that been counted that his point by Ryan at not Mr. Tibbs is sitting in the eighty percent. Dial looks like he's going to get in and e pennants in about six percent. I always thought them as of as very similar all candidates. One guy's got ADD. Others got six is it because petted admitted to taking steroids? I think that's what might separate them. I don't know if that separates of eighty percent to six percent that. Yeah. I don't think there's that many voters that hold the steroids against I will say full disclosure, and it's not a secret. Even though I haven't read the Bill by ballots this year, anybody that knows me or his read my columns in the past or see my ballots. I am a hardline around the hall on steroids. And and and you know, I I I don't vote for guys. I don't vote for bonds and Clemens because of that and had it to me, even though he said all I only did it once he falls in the same category. I I don't think I believe in that. He only did it once whatever he admitted it. So the steroid guys who are known users or or highly I said, I don't vote for so pet. It's not on my ballot. Again, not a huge secret. 'cause I go back to my ballot last year. I did vote for Messina. So. So you can probably even though I have publicly admitted yet where my ballots this year. I guess if I both for last year, you're right. Both of those guys have I guess if you argue they're both short, take the steroids away for a minute Pettit. Obviously great October's that you know, his his October performances. Good certainly bolster his case Besina pitched his entire career in the Nash in American League east against those monstrous lineups. I guess, you know, if if you're a small hall guy who you think the the standards should be really really extremely high. Then you're probably going to say, yeah. You know, Messina Pettit are short. But if if you know, if your standards are I'm not gonna say low if they're still really high just a small hall guy, if you're a little bit bigger than you probably think they both get in. Scotty, great stop. She you coming on board. I hope you get some juicy stuff too, right? Right about this week. At least have the hall of fame the comment. Don, looking forward to reading your bud. Thanks, likewise. Jodi, take care of my friend. My pleasure. Scott Miller Bleacher report, Sirius XM's MLB network radio does some chose for them as well. "Great gifts. You guys got to check them out. And we're going to thank you for tuning into us because we've had a great month of November. Let's keep the clicks come in because we love it lets us keep doing her dream. And you know, you guys are the best pants on I tunes. Make sure you subscribe channel, the episodes leaves a nice five star rating and positive review China sound the pop that make sure you follow those episodes AJ. What do you do next? Smashed those like buns. Let's do a baby. All right. So what do we get into this pocket? We're gonna dive at first because I really steaming take right now. So have you know from? So let's go we did where will they go. It's free agent. And we have possible solution to where they might sign or just hypotheses are crazy conspiracy that we think they may go and I'm going to kind kinda tiny. New segment type title thing make free agency fun again, and I'm Craig kimbrel in Craig kimbrel to me has the chance to make free agency fun again, let's get the hot stove move in. Let's go let's do this. I want to be like last year last year took to the last week of the offseason before caught up. Let's get hot. Now, we got a small group of free agents. But the town is real and we got villains. And I'm not the type of guy there'll be rooting for villas and stuff like that. But if that's what we got a Chato Harper kimbrel. Let's roll with it. Let's get some blogs on the bonfire of the hot stove. Let's do it back in pilgrim times times thanksgiving. Back in thanksgiving was just throw a couple logs lineup. Put a pan on little skill. It and Turkey and gadgets signed do sign like popcorn. So they're signing the native Americans. The white people such a heated rant on credit kimberlin. Here's why. Because if you ask me, I think he's such a villain, and I feel he gets swept under the rug to guys like Machado and Harper because those guys are the headliners for this free agency. They're kind of because though the little of them. Hey, don't and I feel like lately people aren't really super crazy out Machado and Harper with their antics are attitude stuff like that you get strong feelings one way or the other and Craig kimbrel Kimber than key such villain that no one knows about is when he was dealt to the Padres about four years ago. If you Wes Padres fans, no matter how dramatic this might sound. They say that when he got traded that was the worst day of their life. Sorry. When you got delta the Padres brace fence that was the worst day of their life. They miss him so much they loved them so fast four years later. He's a chance to sign back with the Braves free agency. They're going to get what he wanted coming. It looks great right? But no, he decided not to sign with them. He decided not to sign with a team that brought him up with the fans love him. And to me that is that's a Bill unlike mentality right there. We'll more. Could you ask for from Boston? All right can have the least stop terrorizing my team stop doing this Craig kimbrel. You're driving us. All nuts. I mean, personally, I disagree with you at that take. Okay. I was just. More more near quick kimbrel. You'll be this villain. You want to shut down the Braves you wanna make it fun making fun. Let's do this thing. I got a couple ipod seats for you. Because it looks like based on what I'm seeing you want to sign with the Boston. I don't know. Why you did your thing? You got your ring your three time. Also on the last three years. You're the best closer baseball. Great. Let's get out and let's make this off season fun. You can come to the Yankees ever want us to be evil. So be it. Come join the evil empire. We told the bar swabs last episode how stacking would be on paper, they got Machado. So now with the addition of Paxon you've Severino and pass and they give you six seven maybe eight innings not mentally Mike, Corey kluber. Then Craig kimbrel comes in. What a teams do. What do they do with the lineup of and to our glacier Stanton? Judge possibly Machado not to mend some of the other guys Yankees got there. Now, what do they do with great pitching?.

"What could change for the Red Sox next season? Yeah. They're gonna. Move move away from Craig kimbrel. I think he'll sign elsewhere. That will be, but I think those only different direction, coarser wise, I think David price. We'll be back. He has an opt-out clause. He will be back. Kelly Joe Kelley who is just incorrect. Recco season. He's going to be a free agent. I wouldn't be surprised if he's your southern California. And I wouldn't be surprised if he signed with the dodgers Rangel's, I went back to back home. So there's gonna be some changes because this team we'll see it's custom comes back. They have to. They have to figure out that second base spot. If you can't. But you know, I mean, the core is back sales back. We should we shall see. What what turns of you know, what? What what comes of his arm? You know in his shoulder issues. If we learn any more in the next couple of days, you know, if if they weren't telling us, everything is it's more serious than it was because he didn't pitch that one. When he came back from the E L right seven starts. He only allowed. He only pitched into the fifth inning one so pitching into the sixth inning wants enough seven start so pretty much the same team. So you know, they have a chance again next year. I mean, they have a chance, but. I think kimbro will move on Kelly. When is the ticker tape parade? We know yet. I'm sorry. When is the parade. Do we know yet? I think the tentative date is Wednesday. Oh, Well, Chris it's great to have a couple of minutes with you. I know it's been a really long day very long weekend. You can follow Chris on Twitter at smitty s ITT y on MLB. He covers the Red Sox. And now the World Series for mass live dot com. Chris thank.

"I mean, these things happen and you credit the Red Sox for doing the damage as their hashtag says, when it mattered, but it doesn't make me think that, oh, they actually were way better than the Astros all along. It makes me think that they were better than them or at least better timing, I guess, than the Astros in in five days. And I think that the curious thing and the thing that I certainly wouldn't have predicted is that. The Red Sox. Middle relievers really came through again in the series and Joe Sheehan had this stat that the Red Sox outscored the Astros fifteen to three from inning, six to eight in the series. Those are the innings when you would have thought that the extras would have the advantage because they had such a deep bullpen that you could make the case that the players they left off their roster in the bullpen were about as good as the Red Sox bullpen. That was actually on the roster and yet you head Barnes and you head brazier and you had Kelly these guys combined for twelve innings and a one point five Yara in this series. If you replay this a million times, I don't know how often that happens, but we only care about this one time and this time they were incredibly effective out to say before we get to far into this and talk about the the weird stuff. I want to say congratulations to Bill Simmons on pulling off a legendary reverse Jing. He's the only like as certain as we also added that the Astros were gonna win the series easily. He's the only person who sounded. Even more certain than us. You know there, there are times when you know you remember why he's Bill Simmons and being able to pull off. It's like that it's not something everybody can do. This series was it was just chocolate of weird shed, and I. From from the spy game thing to the replay to Craig kimbrel maybe typic-, maybe tipping his pitches. I don't even know where to start because it doesn't feel like it didn't feel chaotic, but there was just always buzz of of strangest in the background. So I guess, let's let's go in order, I guess go to demand name, Kyle. What do we make of this? Now, there's all all of a sudden allegations league wide about every team is stealing signs easing electronic surveillance and stuff. And I just sort of find this whole thing kind of ridiculous. Yeah, you know, in the sense that it's something that I would wanna ridicule, and I'm curious if I'm just sorta jaded now I feel the same way. I mean, I've always been kind of confused about the purported effectiveness of science doing. It seems like a really difficult thing to leverage even if you are doing it well, and the way that it usually happens in baseball is just so kind of keystone, cops and Emma. Sure. Our, it's just always like a guy named Kyle on the field. Just standing there. We'll get to the dugout like that's the the high tech Astros solution here is just aiming a camera into the other dugout. It doesn't really make sense. There's so much paranoia now and you see all these teams going through these extreme routines. It's like the catchers are going through third base, coach kinda routines behind the plate instead of just putting a finger down in the time honored tradition. And I don't know. It seems like MLB is very eager to just sweep this under the rug and say nothing to see here, pay attention to our great postseason in these wonderful teams that are completely Joe s competing on the level. Yeah, that too. But you know, they said, oh, well, we investigated and it's, it's handled just move along. And I doubt that's the case. I think there are teams that are still up in arms about the way this was handled. But frankly, I have no idea whether the ester is actually derived benefit from this. It's it's curious because of what we talked about after the LDS. Where the Indians were saying, oh, they seemed so much better prepared. It's like they knew something's take over a different tenor rate. Now. It's, oh, maybe it was Kyle McLachlan whole along, but I don't know. I think with these kinds of conspiracies, we, we probably pay more attention to them than they deserve. But the players certainly seemed convinced that something matters here and they always have been well, the other, the other theory I heard was that they wanted film on a on Red Sox pitchers from a different angle..

"Astros may things interesting at home Wednesday night. But in the end Red Sox hold on for an eight six victory with the game. Four win Boston. Now, leave the AL CS three games to one Craig kimbrel work to winning. He got Alex bregman to line out to left field with the bases loaded to end the ballgame. Andrew Benintendi, say the game for the Red Sox making a diving catch to end Jackie Bradley, jR, two run home run that put the Red Sox in front in the six any controversy in the first Jose altuve eighth at a ball to the right field wall. Mookie Betts jumped at the wall. Ball came back onto the field of play out few. They called out for fan interference review resulting in the call being upheld game one National League championship series Clayton Kershaw with a shortest postseason start of his career Wednesday in game. Five Kershaw seven innings gave up one run struck out. Nine dodgers beat the brewers. Find a to leave the LCS 3-games-to-2 Craig counsel on Wade Miley facing just one batter in the first inning. And then. Going to the bullpen told. You're going to do all along way is gonna pitch game six. We if we went down three one we were considering having weighed pitched this game. But this is this is kind of what we decided we were going to do and dodgers manager Dave Roberts on how it affected his club. Obviously our lineup today was different than the other lineup when we face Miley. So. You got to prepare for the unexpected. So I like where you're at series moves back to Milwaukee for game six on Friday night. Coming up Thursday, the show stroz in prime time in Milwaukee going back to the baby park. All the latest from baseball's postseason plus a Super Bowl MVP is guaranteed. A but kicking on Thursday night full strategy that and more Thursday on Golic and wingo. Six eastern ESPN radio. "I think the first time Ben, I'll stick with Astros because if ashes doing game three, I think they have a fairly clear pitching advantage in game four. And then you know who knows what's going to happen with sale. Justin Verlander has obviously been incredible throughout his entire tenure with the Astros and he would be slated for game five. I also wonder if like Craig kimbrel blows a save another one and the Red Sox bullpen his tax. I think they have again, just less room for for less margin for error than Astros bullpen does. Yeah, I'm almost accurate. I think the it's not that I, I think the Red Sox are more likely to completely fold than the Burs because that like everything you said about the high variance. Strategy is absolutely true, and there's that possibility. But if it if it works once they go back to Milwaukee at of those three games, I think the Astros more than any of the other three teams in the playoffs have the ability to just overwhelm to just be so good doesn't matter what what the other team brings up against them. So I think that they've got the possibility, particularly. I think they're the best team left in the playoffs and they're planning the next three games at home, and that might be reductive. But I think it fits with with all the other evidence here. So we've a moved nothing both. Both the series split in the first leg. None of us are changing any of our predictions. I don't think so. Good. Let's let's hope we learned something by by the time we reconvene later this week, but until then thanks for joining me guys, happy to enjoy the games that'll do it for this edition of the ringer MLB show thanks to Ben Limburg and to Zach cram who showed up and tried to steal my tro. Mr Tony, both championship league series tied at one game apiece. Red Sox beat the Astros seven, five last night a little dodgy again. In the ninth day, I wouldn't put Craig kimbrel in the game anymore. I mean that Craig kimbrel and Sean Doolittle have that odd scarecrow lights, stance of, you know what? Get Kimball Kimber Lotte there. He stinks point and David price. I know you think he won. He didn't win. Five. But they did a team won for the first time when he started the game in the postseason. That's right. That's interesting. Scheduling. The now socks and the pats were going head to head. And tonight you have the Packers and the brewers going head to head tough for people were fans of both those teams last switching back and forth to see growers lose because Turner hit a home. MLB -- Boston Red Sox keep Houston Astros within their reach
"Is way out of trouble. Shabby. The legend do worked on ESPN radio and the game last night with Jessica Minoza with that call in the bottom of the first inning, the Red Sox struck, I recommend Grasset or swang in a live Dr, bass it out of the right center field. Cut it off as Rettig bet. Surround third. He's into score the Red Sox two batters in Leded wanted nothing. You could tell the Gary cole- was struggling for his secondary stuff and Rafael Devers took advantage to two on the way swing ground basically to left via Benintendi scores Bogart. So stop it. Third as federalis holds them up. It's an RBI single Deckers the other way. And it's too dummy. David price in the Red Sox had a quick to nothing lead, but in the top of the second inning, the Astros counter-attacked. Swing a line drive, fair ball inside the first base line into scores Correa Maldonado on his heels Springer into second. Just like that. The Astros have tied it up to to a soft line drive that just hung in the air and hung in the air and Pierce diving wasn't able to reach it in the top of the third. The Astros took the lead, here's a three to swing and a high fly ball left field that will back there on its way dawn over the monster Marwick Gonzales, a two run blast. The Astros have a four, two lead. After the game, Garrett, Cole would talk about what happened next is maybe being the pivot point because he did not have shutdown inning and the bottom of the third inning. After the Astor's took the lead, this is what happened. Jackie Bradley Jr. the plate bowl turns down the rubber now to one. Swing and a high fly ball towards the left field corner Gonzales swords Alon that was off the lobster into score Bogart's Pierce autists heels here comes Denver's Bradley's into second Genesee Bradley Jr. clears the bases, Red Sox by Iran Boston on top five four is that was high up onto the monster just inside the poll state of the park. It was still five, four in the bottom of the seventh inning. Lance mccullers junior was on the mound behind the plate Martine Maldonado and look Lance mccullers union as one of the best breaking balls in baseball in Maldonado acknowledged that what happened in the bottom of the seventh inning, which was repeated problems. Catching baseball may have been because his unfamiliarity with that great curl ball mccullers give lesson. Now it's left up to Bogart with bets at third to down the pitch outside off the global Maldonado. Haney Red Sox have an insurance run that one was up at a way Maldonado couldn't keep it in front and Mukhi bets, grants home six, four, Boston Rick came out of the Red Sox bullpen to throw the top of the eighth inning attacking headers and then Mookie Betts applied the coup gras in the bottom of the eighth inning. One live base hit out of the right field. That's with the knocked Evers around. Third, he's to score bet slides into second. It's an RV I double Mookie delivers than it seven to four in the top of the night. Then Craig kimbrel emerged from the Boston Doug ad. And you remember what happened at the end of the Anki series. He struggled to find home plate and there was some anxiety in the stands at Fenway park as Kimball started at night inning, and the Astros began to rally on swang in a ball ham left field towards the monster, and that's high off the monster. Now to Vail take the turn will hang on at first. He kinda limps back in there. That's an RBI single off the monster. And now it's seven, five next to the plate, Alex bregman who was red hot at the end of the regular season, the Red Sox staff, it made it clear decision not to pitch to him six walks in the firm. Two-game series. Plus he was hit by a pitch in another plate appearance in this case, Kimbrell had to throw them, and this is what happened regmunt back in a way to get a one, the pitch swing and a high fly ball, left field Benintendi near the wall and makes the catch, and that is the ballgame. Just the base of the green monster hold it in and kimbrel by the skin of his teeth to close it out and the Red Sox. Hang onto what it in the Astros clubhouse after the game bregman was asked about whether or not he thought he got it. He said, no, if I got it, it would have been out in the street. Mookie Betts was on the field after the game, and I caught up with them. We did great. No, yet out. We've proven that we've been in both games. Everyone was second one and we'll just continue to play are going into Houston. When asked you about a couple of pitchers, David price, you know the scrutiny that's been on early game, keeps you guys right there. You guys win a game. He starts. Yeah. I mean, he's a great pitcher, you know, no matter what people say goes out. He are thirty million dollars a year. For reason he showed about record cells work out of the bullpen. He's, you know, he's done great. Starting out of the bullpen anywhere you put up. You know, he's got. And compete Fisher. AJ Hinch. The Astros manager talked about Mukhi bets ignited from the very beginning of the game. I mean, this place energy of this place when he comes up too bad is is really electrifying. So when you try to minimize much as you can in front of them, we didn't do a great job of that today. But from the the first bat- on, he kind of set the tone from the very beginning. So it's why he's very much MVP candidate. AJ was asked also about looking bad's, going around the bases in that seventh inning to make the score six, two, four at that time, give a lesson the insurance from this word and the seven Makiko around the basis how unusual to see that with with its. He went around the basis that have to put a ball and play in on. That's those are tough in this in this type of series is tightly CEPA games. It's a long characteristic. I mean, obviously, mccullers abroad mccullers ended try to keep it a one run game with the way that this series can go. And it's almost like a Tiger Balm for me. So last to a couple of nasty breaking ball, just look like, you know, Martinez lost it in the people in center field or just got a little bit got a little bit lax back. There had a little tough time and Mukhi went around the bases. I walk and then no-ball plane is of scorn before this series began AJ Hinch raved about Mukhi bets in his impact on the Red Sox. And Alex Cora was asked about Hinch comments on mochi and his play. Give lesson. Listen. A game AJ called Mukhi ticking time bomb, and he kind of went off tonight. Do you think it was more himself tonight? You said you wanted to get on the air did a couple of times? Yeah, Jesus Margai they went to Stanford.

Don't look at me that way, you would think in the same thing. Red Sox win this series and four they beat the Yankees four to three they move onto the LCS against the Houston Astros by but there's gonna be juicy final four. You got Houston Boston. You got the dodgers. And the, Bruce whose fans are gonna be loud. And proud of they have home field advantage in the end, LCS baseball Gaza telling baseball, you're welcome. By the way, with the two big cities, Boston and L A a big city that people to a small town city in Houston, and Milwaukee pretty sizable and a pretty fun team going to be a juicy final four when it comes to league championship series on both sides of the National League. And the American League Boston right now, they're playing New York New York in the locker room getting back at trolling. And Aaron judge who played that when they beat the Red Sox game to imagine outscored the podium, not too bad with I your job. He's done with eighteen to win one hundred. Eight games. And now in the AL CS here Yankees, Aaron Boone Frank Cashman an assembly and a family that does a great team. That's a great team. No. All throughout the season. He was back and forth. Great games. We gave the audience and the baseball world. Ratio. So congratulations on gray season a great series. And the future is bright for them. Thanks. Alex. This sounds like a basic question, but just how much of an achievement was that tonight for your team. I don't know, man. Think about it tomorrow. But. A lot of people gave up when I was a after losing game two we showed up yesterday, and we did an outstanding job. And tonight, we had a plan mapped out. Rick was outstanding. You know? And then the bullpen did an outstanding job at the end. Well creek. He was in the usual Craig kimbrel. But he got three outs. And and he closed the game. They saying the moment they they play the right way, they round the basis. Well, played good defense was Brock and the lefties today was in new knee and Christian. So we have a complete team we very versatile we count on everybody. And it was a great team bitter questions. Johnny. I talk about bringing Chris in there. He's been talking about it for three days already and. In the seventh. We we got together. Dana Ron and myself. We already talked about. The training staff about. If he was okay to come in. And. It wasn't a bullpen. But it was kind of like he's day. So everybody was onboard. I even shouted two two dugout. We all in his coming in. And he didn't outstanding job. To Craig and we close to the. The questions. Episode. The key. If he can't. Lord. Okay. Content. The compound component on the air. And he. Johny eric's. How proud of this team. Very proud. Very proud. It took what twenty six guys to win this series. Stephen gets hurt at four o'clock in before game one. We gotta go to Henry, and he did an outstanding job throughout the series. Like, I said, you know yesterday was brought Denver's and Christian today. We have to match up with CDC and comes with a big hit and noon. He did an outstanding job offensively and defensively. Christian did a good job too. So like, I've been saying all along is we're we're complete team and we and everybody to to win games. And you know, the last two games. I if you think about it. It was fun to watch the words Alex for the Red Sox fans talking about his team winning the series in for being the Yankees forty three in game four right here on ESPN radio's Freddie and Fitz Simons..
