And the lord said you pity the plant for which you did not labor nor did you make it grow which came into being a night and perished in a night and should not i pity niniveh that great city in which there are more than one hundred and twenty thousand persons who do not know their right hand from their left and also much cattle and thus ends the book of jona with the profit exceedingly displeased. An angry that god had brought salvation to niniveh. The god had saved benefit from the wrath. They deserved and the prophet. Jonah is upset goes out of the city. Sits down there under the shade and god appoints this plant to come up over jona to save him from discomfort in the sun and jonah was exceedingly. Glad about the plant. But then when god appointed a worm to attack the plants withered. Joan was so upset. And god's says in verses we just read you pity the plant a plant. Should i not pity. Niniveh people hundreds of thousands of people who have created a my image whom i love and i desire to save like. You'd forgive us for our focus on so many different comforts and cares and concerns in this world that we are not more passionate about seoul's being saved not just experience your life and your love in this world but in all of eternity god help us depite what you pity to have compassion like your compassion to love like you love god. We pray. You'd help us too long for what you long for you. Desire all people to know your grace your salvation. We think about seven plus billion people in the world all created in your image your likeness created to know you and created to enjoy you. Who turned from you all seven. Praise you for your love for us. We praise you for somebody caring enough about us to share the gospel with us. We praise you for the eternal life we have in you. We praise you for your pity and your compassion and your love for us. So god reprinted helpless his show that for other people around us cowdery pray that ours eel to lead people to to faith in jesus to internal life and you would far outweigh our zeal for anything else. In this world. God that we would be emotional about passionate about not plans and possessions and sports and entertainment and petty comforts and trivial concerns but that we would be passionate about people and their souls for all of eternity. God we we pray that you would keep us from living like we see joan in this last chapter. God help us to be a clear reflection of your love for the people around us people who are desperately in need of your grace. We pray that you would help us to be more concerned about their salvation. Salvation is Found in God Alone (Hosea 13:4)

"Hosea chapter thirteen verse. Four but i am the lord your god from the land of egypt you know no god but me and besides me. There is no savior when a clear picture of the supremacy of god of the fact that in the words of acts chapter. Four verse. twelve there is salvation No one else. There is no god but the one true god amidst all the idols of this world amidst all the false gods of the world things people ideas set up as god. There is no god but one the lord who is god no god but him and besides him there is no savior. Think about that important that is for each one of our lives to constantly remember. We do not look to anyone anything to save us but god this or that person whom we love no matter how wonderful they might be. Day cannot save us. They cannot fully satisfy us. They cannot meet our deepest needs as we look to leaders in rethink about leaders in the world. Even as we've prayed leading up to presidential election in the united states through this podcast. Clearly no leader can save us our salvation. Our hope our trust are not in leader of a country. The leader of a church the leader of an organization. Any man woman any person anything. There's there's no achievement. We can attain. There's no level we can get to know position. We can climb to know possession. We can own that if we just get there. Then we'll be satisfied then we'll be fulfilled. Its ally straight from the adversary that constantly surrounds us in this world. In god speaks crystal clear and hosea chapter. Thirteen verse for i and the larger god. There is no god but me and besides me. There is no savior so we pray. Oh god you alone are god. We confess that together right now. There are no other gods but you all the gods. The nations are idols. You alone are the lord and we say this from our hearts. Oh god may we not look to money as an idol two possessions as idols to sports sex success. Anything this world offers. None of it can fully satisfy us. None of these things can meet our deepest need. No person can meet our deepest. Needs you alone. Can you alone. God you alone. Are worthy of all of our worship. You alone are worthy of all of our praise. You alone are worthy of all of our. Trust your worthy of all of our allegiance. you're worthy of all of our hope. You alone are god and you alone our savior. Jesus you alone can save us from our sins we say based on your word there is salvation found in no one else. There is no other name under heaven whereby people can be saved. Jesus you alone can save people from sin. There's no other way to be saved from san. There's no other way to be satisfied and our souls but in you so with that reality god. Please give us urgency today to proclaim your salvation in jesus. Protecting sensitive information: Growing data, regulations and risks

"So in our discussion before the show you noted. That as you said, data system Gary Systems wouldn't place ten plus years ago aren't keeping up with the massive amounts of data process today leading to increase hacks and breaches. So you know, one of the first things I usually like to ask about is how the businesses changed since you first entered. So in this case, that's an extra crucial questions a then in now as you were just discussing with. Some of these things but. Then now on what data security systems, where like back then and what they didn't implement or couldn't have known about and what data systems and data quantities would be like today if they had. So I think there's a variety of factors that go into that right so we were securing our system's ten years ago. We didn't really have the connectivity or the belief that we can just call a function over the Internet right today with a RPC today with all these different API's and all these smart Iot devices that we have today data's being exchanged. Previously never seen before every every year we create more data than we've previously created. For All the years before combined and so. Yeah, it's pretty unbelievable and so ask yourself how is it possible that the approach of translating what we did with putting security guards or having solutions? How does that translate in the digital world where data moves at a speed where we can barely keep up and so as a result, we just have to come at it with a different approach. There is no longer away can buy and protect the perimeter because that doesn't mean you're safe the old age of the advice of you know. Being able to being in control is to minimize risk is now actually more of a liability and so and also this is compounded by the fact that when we saw Google and the way they were able to use heterogenous computing to be able to you know do math producer extract value from their data. Every company wanted to become a data company obviously as we know, and so they started acquiring all of these different data all different data. Sets an trying to extract and analyze this information ten years ago. That was all the rage it's still is today but now we have these privacy laws and regulations that have been passed that are affected. We causing what we previously put into our balance sheet as an asset is now mostly a liability and the idea is if we were to understand where were the transformational shift that happened before in the history of humanity, it's when we digitize. Before you and I would be carrying cash or cowdery shells or gold billions, and we were, you know somebody held us up with, took that from us that was gone and so by building trust infrastructure and removing the value of money from the physical possession of money, itself were able to build the Commerce Foundation, the trust foundations that enable the economy today, and that's the big realization. Of businesses changed over the past five years because we're starting to understand what is the de risking of data look like in the same manner that we've derailed transactions and money today because I make sense it doesn't make sense. Yeah. So so where do you see standard security practices sort of falling down the worst right now in twenty twenty or some things that you think should be obvious but are being haphazardly implemented if at all yeah. I, think that's a very good question. So I think ultimately some of the control like basically the biggest realization, some of the most sophisticated seaso's will tell you is that compliance those unequal secured right and so just by checking the box doesn't mean you're secure right? From all the time. Yeah, right. So by versing operationalizing bicycle by being secure, you should be able to inherit compliance. It's a by product of hunting security posture. So folks who just think like, let me just secure the perimeter. Let me buy another firewall upgrade my sister's that's not a security solution. We have to understand the Algebra that goes into why you need to secure our first place a from their realize will, why do we even need it in the first place the best and? The best prevention is to not have anything worth stealing, and so if we can use the if you can have the value of data without having the actual data itself, it solves the problem that we're all trying to do because another bridge or larger wall or lower motor barbed wire that's not going to solve the problem because somebody else will be a more sophisticated attack on against. Your defenses and as time goes on, you know what you have now has to be upgraded. What we need to see is to stop thinking of diy and we need to start adopting realizing that it's just better if we become business enablers become more of a risk management. Organization rather than could trolling and securing us off. A ridiculous expect every company to be able to build their own bank fault. So why? Do. We expect them to secure their data in the same way. Does that make sense?

The Likeness of the Glory of the Lord (Ezekiel 1:28)

"Ezekiel Chapter One verse Twenty Eight. Like the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud on the day of rain. So was the appearance of the brightness all around. Such was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord. and. When I saw it, I fell on my face and I heard the voice of one speaking. This. This is such. A good verse at the end of a fairly confusing chapter like you. You read through Ezekiel. Chapter One and your head might be spinning like trying to put all this imagery together. But part of the picture here is is exactly what Verse Twenty Eight is saying Ezekiel is seeing the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord and he is in awe he's over while I'm T- can't wrap his mind completely around it, and that's just the likeness of the glory of the Lord. In recent days I've been an. Exodus chapter. Thirty. Three next chapter thirty four when God reveals himself to Moses and I kings chapter nineteen when God reveals himself to Elijah but neither Moses or Elijah can see like behold the fullness of the glory of the. Lord. So they get like a partial view. So to speak much like we see here in Hezekiel at the appearance of the lightness of the glory of the Lord to all this to say like we see this all throughout scripture God's glory displayed described and all kinds of ways that all lead to all. That's exactly what happens. In. Excess Chapter Thirty Four. It's exactly what happens in I. Kings Nineteen. It's what happens here in Ezekiel Chapter one about Isaiah chapter six like whenever anyone sees like the lightness of the glory of the Lord there on their faces it's all over revelation and then so in light of all that, I just want to remind us where all scripture is headed revelation chapter twenty, two, verse four hundred scripture. All history is headed toward the day when the Bible says, we will be fully free from sin and sorrow and sickness and suffering and death, and all the. Hard things in this world. and. We will be with God. He will be with us and verse four and Revelation Twenty Two five of the most beautiful words in the Bible they will see his face. Clean I want to encourage this hope today like one day we're GonNa Behold the glory of the Lord. And so today in view of that day, like open up the Bible Ezekiel Chapter One and all kinds of places and here this one speaking. Ezekiel says when I saw, the light is to the glory of the Lord I fell on my face. I heard the voice of one speaking like pictured when you open up the Bible the God of the Universe whose glory you could not. Be Able to see in this world, he is speaking to you. Like I was at the coast recently, I'm looking out over the horizon seeing this what looks like an infinite expanse of sea and sky and I've got my Bible open and I realized the God who created this is speaking to me. He's listening to me as I'm praying he loves me cares for me and I just want to pray that over you. Oh, God a pray that every single person listening right now with no one that your glory is beyond our comprehension. That, there is no way. We can even imagine your greatness and your beauty and your splendor, and you're wonder God re pray that you would help us never ever ever to be casual with you to have a small view of you. CAN GIVE US A. Glorious view of yourself up to realize that your glory even likeness of Your glory would bring us to our faces in off. And and sends does cowdery pray that you would. Make us a people who spend time. On our faces before you. In all of you. And then to open your word. And hear US speak to us. God May, we never cease to be amazed by. Your love for us. By your voice in our lives. By. Your care for us you're listening to us you the Creator. Glorious God. Overall you are listening to us right now you're with us your spirit dwells in. God, we are in awe. and. We pray you help us to live with the sense of odd and to love your word as the one who's speaking to us and God. We pray that you would kind of form us more and more and more in the process. To. A likeness of Jesus just like second. Corinthians three says beholding Uruguay Laurie transform us our lives. From one degree of glory to another, make us more and more holy. Make us more and more loving. Make us more and more like you. We pray. In Jesus name.

The Severity of Sin - Mark 9:4748

"Chapter Nine versus forty, seven, forty eight. And if you're I, causes you to sin. Tear it out. It is better for you to enter the Kingdom of God with one eye. Then with two is to be thrown into hell. Where their worm does not die. And the fire is not quenched. What language! And this follows up on Jesus. Thanks your hand, it causes you to sin. Cut It off if your foot causes you to sin. Cut it off then in verse forty seven. If you're I causes you to sin, tear it out. Like what what does Jesus Teaching here? He's teaching us about the seriousness of San. About the severity of one sin of looking. In a way that leads you to sinful thoughts, sinful desires, sinful actions, and you just can't help a thank you. Read this about. King David in the old. Testament. And how his I caused him to sin, how he looked at Bethsheba, in a way that led to adultery in a way that lead to murder in a way that led to the death of a child in a way that led to so much destruction in his life and leadership, and Jesus saying it's not worth like. Don't let your eye caused you to send your hand your foot like sin is serious. It is severe ended has eternal consequences. This is a word we need to hear we must be. Why is careful never to become casual with sin? Are you prone to do that. And your heart in your life, or he prone to skews Sin. Like! It's no big deal was just a look. It was just a thought just passing fleeting desire it was. Just a word. It was just an as soon as that kind of thinking comes in to our minds. It was just like let's hear Mark Nine, forty, seven, forty eight. And be reminded. It's not just this like. One Senate was one sailing genesis three that led to condemnation for all men they ate a piece of fruit, and from that one hand came. Unspeakable horror throughout the history of the World God L. Help us not to underestimate the series systems to send. Please we pray. Keep us from. Being casual was saying. Please keep me pray. There's just over every single person who's listening right now. Please keep us from being casual with sin. From. Treating in any way like it's no big deal. Help us to see the. One sin and run from it to flee from it from San, that are I might lead us to our hand, or foot, or mouthed, or whatever it might be God we pray, please please please. Cleanse us of our San and reaced from sin, we would hate it and run from it that we would take extreme measures to hate it and run from it. We would not be content with sin in our lives, and that we would see its internal effects, and even as we say that Jesus re praise you for dying on the Cross for our sin for savings from what we deserve all glory be to your name Jesus for saving us from Internal Fire Hell worm does not die in the fire is not Quinn's. Even as we prayed as got reprinted today for the Yadav. People in Nepal. Million plus hinders hardly any followers of Jesus at all on a road that leads to an internal L. Internal fire where it will never be quenched. If, they don't hear and believe in your name Jesus. In your salvation, cowdery pray for the Dove People, please caused the Gospel to go to them, even as we celebrate the COSIMO and forgiveness Zen by your grace, we pray for the spread of the Gospel, to the dove and Nepal. He Himself is Our Peace (Ephesians 2:14)

"Diffusion chapter two verse fourteen for he himself is our peace who has made us both one and has broken in down in his flesh the dividing wall of hostility this verse is such a powerful picture of what God is doing in the Church at emphasis at this point you have Jews and gentiles together in the same church two groups of people will that have historically been divided you see this language of a dividing wall of hostility and that's a pretty accurate description the way Jews and gentiles related to each other but now that Jews had placed their faith in Christ and gentiles place their faith in Christ and on themselves in the same church Paul writes that Jesus is now our peace he himself is our p he's he's brought us together by his blood shed for both of our sends he's made us one body where we are in Christ together and he has broken down the dividing wall of hostility is a powerful picture of the unifying presence the Christ the unifying power of the Gospel to bring together people who were once opposed to each other now coming together as one in what the rest of this chapter talks about as the household of God fellow citizens with Saints Members of the Gary Household of God and so I want you to think about the church you're apart of and just ask the question is there any Division in your church because Jesus died to break down dividing walls just think about your relationships with other followers of Christ is there any division that you have right now between you and other followers of Christ now this doesn't mean that once we're in the church like we agree about every single thing and that we have the exact same thoughts about every single detail that's definitely not the case here in F- assist it's not the case anywhere in the New Testament you see Paul at different points exhort adding different groups of people to even wear your consciences may differ on things to not miss or compromise the unity you have in Christ even what Jesus prayed for his disciples not only in the first century but his disciples to come after them us in John Seventy amy prayed that we would be one just as he and the father or one a trinity like union and unity in the church that Jesus died to make possible and yet there's an adversary who wants to divide the church who wants to divide us from other brothers and stirs in ways that promote conflict and tension and even hostility and yet the power of the gospel is intended to break down those walls so let's pray for unity in the church and then pray as we continually on this podcast I pray for unreached people groups around the world I want us to pray today for the Poular Falani in Senegal the pool are are known as ardent defenders of Islam they boast of basically being the first black Africans to convert to Islam and so you think about even in different picture maybe in Africa maybe in Asia or right here in America where you bring different tribes together into the Church and the challenges for a unifying that good nope but that's the beauty the power of the Gospel the peace of Christ brings together groups that may have once been opposed to each other so let's pray for unity of Christ to be evident in our churches our relationships and the spread of the Gospel to the nations that God would bring together all ends of tribes all kinds of languages all kinds of people groups from all kinds of different perspectives together as one in Christ across his global body oh God we we praise you for the piece that Christ has bought for us that we now have with you the we're able to pray right now when we have been justified by faith Romans five one says and we now have peace with you all glory a beat your name for the piece you have given us with you the reconciliation we have in relationship with you and so God we pray for for an experience of this piece and this reconciliation with all the brothers and sisters in Christ around us God we prayed you'd help us too guard the unity of the spirit in the bond of peace what equations four will later talk about we pray that you would indeed shut Oh that you have broken down dividing walls of hostility God re pray that you would help us to work for the unity of this beard in the bond of peace and relationships we have with other brothers and sisters in Christ we pray that you help us to guard against division and conflict and tension God we pray that you would help us to guard against division in our churches got an each of our churches in the church I pastor in the churches that are represented in those who are praying this may now re pray for unity of the spirit of peace and Gary pray for that not just in our churches God but as your church spreads and multiplies to the ends of the earth cowdery pray for the spread of the Gospel for the spread of the peace of Christ among the polar felony synagogue. Please oh God a million of them so few some of them have knowledge of Jesus Gunnery pray for the spread of the peace of Jesus among the Poular Lonnie and Senegal and then got re pray that weather are there in Senegal or in all kinds of places around the world God that you would bring together even once warring or conflicting tribes bring them together in a beautiful display of the Gospel got re pray what Jesus prayed for us in John Seventeen that we would be one as as you is the father and his son are one give us this kind of oneness we pray and help us to work against division show us even slowing from this prayer today specific ways we need to work for unity specific ways we need to reconcile with brothers and sisters in Christ who we may be divided added from right now God by the peace you've bought for us in Christ May we pray this in Jesus name

"You know that that's the team. Yeah. He'll make the team. He's he'll make the team know many make some money. He might be turned out to be good. A little player, but they could have picked a better a better wire receiver in that spot. But it is what it is. They took three guys from university of Clemson the number one overall pick they took Trayvon Mullen, and they took hundred Renfro to receive it. A caught a touchdown against Alabama win it all at the fifth spot. They like obviously going into that south region it picking up some players because if you look at draft they go Clinton, Alabama, Mississippi State, Clemson Houston. LSU Clemson imprint of you out of Texas. So they like some southern cooking. I get that. We see this in the NBA. We're all of a sudden a guy will have a great NC double A tournament. And they ended up getting picked and it's like well hold that. You got you got swayed by something you saw I get the clemson's the best college football program in the country for the last three or four years right there with Alabama. But three of your seven picks are from the same school that seems aggressive. Well, I mean, the dosing big. No. Right. You know, what it is? Sometimes it's called lazy. Oh, yeah. I went to the school. I thought his game. Check check check. Now not to bounce around. Yeah. Gotcha. Cowdery porn on the receiver. They picked up. They said his odds are short his hands. Oh, wait, hold on. You pulled up the scouting report. I didn't all say it was let him make second second-leading. Next one. According to Peter King that the raiders wanted to trade out of that number four spot. But that no one was calling them. We try to make a pick take it or shake at the raiders trying to move, but couldn't shake it. Oh, absolutely. Not because at the four spot they would be a number of people trying to get to the four spot. That's just they it's all called justify justify the pick people were trying to move up, but we felt strong about our position. And we've really wanted to get this guy. So he stayed Pat. All right. You don't buy that defeating that it it's again, this is Jon Gruden to a t it's so obvious that the reason you put that story out there is because he got hammered for the pick overall. So it's not in this. Hey, this is the guy we wanted..

"When you wanna do gaming into the wee hours of the morning, definitely. It'd be. All the stale. What about the hot Cowdery she makes is that it's not your typical super chocolate hot chocolate drink. You know, the ones that are so overpowered with sugar tastes real good, but I was still really sick after, but I don't with these because he's a hot chocolate drink with a little bit of spice in it, which is a really good mixture, especially now that in Washington, specifically, western Washington fall is upon us, and it's a really, really good. Little fall drinks have near me. I also tried lions Bain, which is yummy, mix, peppermint, rose, hips into so-so good. Honestly, like drinks I never would have tried otherwise and if quickly become my favorite healthy, super while I'm pulling a gaming marathon. And this is important for me personally because I typically don't like coffee. I actually don't like coffee at all unless there's five hundred packets of sugar in it. So I'm really trying to get away from the energy drinks and trying to find something that's healthier and gives me that natural energy because while I like the short bursts of energy, I get from these energy drinks. I always feel like crap after. And it's good. Yes. So Sammer. Yes. What have you been sipping on? So I have like a stamp or pack adult. It's been a while because we've we've had these for a bit. I don't remember what I tried in there. I do remember. I liked it. Which has been a nicer price for me because I like you. But I think I have a little bit more of an opinion that I really I hate mushrooms, but I know that they have these really good health benefits, but I'm not gonna eat them. I'm just not going to. So if you put it in a powder and let me drink it, that's my style. That's your way to do it. Yes, exactly. So what I'm sipping on today, is there charcoal lemonade, which has Chagas I believe, is how you say this mushroom. I don't actually know what I like a lot about this number one. It just if you're like, scared. If you're watching on video, it is a black drink. Because if you've never seen any charcoal, emanate, they are black, which is kind of nice actually for Halloween time. Let's true. It's a spooky drink spooky lemonade. But I did that. It's sweetened with not sugar sweetened with as Rolla believe those are cherries and then monk fruit. So they have natural sugars in there. So you don't feel bad about consuming it. You know, you're like, oh, man, like this is good, but it has cane sugar in it because what I am home, I tend to not drink regular water. I just don't. I don't. It's really bad, but I just like there's no real flavor to water. It's not that much fun to drink. So having things like this, where you can make it into a drink is delicious and also good for you is bonus win for me. Yeah. And just to clarify, these don't taste like they have mushrooms in them. I know I would not be okay if they did. Right. So definitely, like I said earlier, are eyebrows raised a little bit like mushrooms what? But again, like I had heard of the benefits how good they are for you and all that stuff. And I was I all. was a little nervous, but I was excited actually kind of get a form of mushroom into my body. That's what she said because I want to try to eat healthy and do better. But you just slimy mushrooms on a dinner plate. You do it for me, but these you don't taste their ground up into your drinks.

"But i heard a desire that i won't do focus balancing everything on 26 basic uh nutritional pat upbeat dose yet which means that what's essential nutrition now what are those 26 essential nutrition maybe i leave this this for the next episode yet but those are minerals swipe demands cowdery is cobb spotty use united near you come to all those in it becomes twenty six and is scientifically proven that if you balance you mean on those twenty six nutritious are nutritional battery decided should say yet than that than shoe was that you're feeding that right to stuff to your body so we have developed evolution of the software which i can uh you know kind of take pride in that nobody else hazard because this is normally used by nutritionist it and what we have done is the of given that power to our users that's a balancing means on those 26 pera me does means doesn't matter would you eating if you follow the rules and regulations so you know as thought that software loop and ninety percent of softer does on it so that's the beauty yet it's a does have all kind of intelligence bigger yep then you abu to eat healthy and as i gave you the earlier uh kind of job the basic rule yet plum yep then you will save a lot so that's the main thing and i think i'm going beyond what i should be going here in this episode yep so i'm gonna leave the governor dutch all that planning later on in the next episode and the next episode after that because if we could be attention just two planning alone in eighty percent of problem is solved yet so that's on the one and number two is by whole foods even you will do for you'll grocery store in roddan bind the processed yet if you could be attention by only stuff yet the warm food is much better than the processed fruit absolutely and thus fresh also yes so why not by some of that and thus cheaper my dad used to say this is pretty amazing some of those kind of things is to do.
