We Need to Talk About Cassidy Hutchinson...
"Yesterday, with an urgent pace, the committee put together a surprise hearing with a White House aide, her name Cassidy Hutchinson. Now I'd never heard of Cassidy Hutchinson before, I knew a lot of people in The White House. I knew a different Cassidy who's one of the sweetest person people ever who worked in The White House and was super loyal to the country and loyal president Trump. But this Cassidy, I had never heard of. Fine, whatever. I didn't know everyone in The White House. I didn't work there. Just did some projects and happened to visit more times than not. So this person comes up and she starts to testify. And she says some very, very serious things. She says some things such as, for example, the kind of scintillating news grabbing headline was the one that Donald Trump tried to hijack the presidential motorcade, otherwise known as the beast. That Donald Trump and all of his fury and all of his anger was so upset with what was happening. He wanted to go to the capitol so badly that Donald Trump put his hand on the collar of a Secret Service agent tried to take the steering wheel of the car and the Secret Service had to push him back. I mean, I heard this, I said, wow, that's quite an accusation. Cassidy, have you ever been in the beast before? Because I have. And that's literally impossible to do. I was thinking this while I was hosting the show yesterday, because again, I'm processing all this. I said, I'm not going to cover this until I have time to really let all this set in, by the way, previously I was more immature with the way I reacted to things like I did with Covington, I would like to think this is a mature response. You wait a day. Do you think about it? You process it, you study it, you examine it. That's what adults do. Children immediately like, wow, oh my goodness, see hijack the beast. I can't believe it. And then all it takes is someone to say, wait hold on a second. You can't do that. There's a separation wall between the passengers and the Secret Service. It's physically impossible.
A Lesson in NOT Falling for the Media Hype
"Many different stories where the media went instantaneously into accusation mode and full transparency. One of the great teaching moments, one of the great learning moments for me personally. Was in either January or February of 2019, I think is January. The Covington kid deal. With Nicholas Sandman, where I was doing too many things at once, I was spending far too much time on Twitter, and I tweeted something such as the Covington kids shouldn't have behaved the way they did. A stupid, dumb thing to tweet, because I didn't let all the facts come through. I didn't actually check the premise. I didn't challenge the media narrative. And that was such a teaching moment for me in a learning moment. I said, what am I doing here? Just kind of going along with the narrative for the narrative's sake. And I wrote a whole op-ed about it, but I actually learned from it. I decided that I was never going to do that again. I said, I'm not going to kind of ready fire aim. I said, we're just going to kind of let the facts come out. And I also learned that, man, when the media becomes so enthusiastic and so passionate about something so quickly, there's probably something there withholding from us. And then a couple months later, the Mueller report came out and it showed that Trump collusion was all a lie. And as I was growing in the movement and growing as a commentator and growing as a podcaster and growing as a host and growing as a leader of turning point USA, I said to myself, man, the next time the media wants me to get so excited about something, I'm just not gonna do it. And I'm quite

"He identified he identifies himself as a boy still. The guy's almost 40 years old. He's driving kids around his little karate van. What's the point of that? I mean, I know today the gender pronouns you can identify as whatever you want to identify yourself as, but the fact that he's still identifies as a boy is a complete joke. After all the dance, man. Pretty good nice guy. He holds a karate school. Come on, man. He can't please. So he's a nice guy. Oh, what is this the ultimate ceilings championship? Is the ultimate? That's the line of the day. So who do you think wins the fight? Him go at burners. I don't know. I don't care. You know, I'm only focused on what's ahead of me. I'm focused on Marty juiceman. I'm focused on, you know, the world title fight, no matter. I'm fighting for the world title. Dana said it, hunter Campbell, he's already came to me and said it. So whether Marty juice may, you know, wants to retire and give up his belt because he's scared to fight me because he's a coward or not. I'm fighting for the world title and whoever steps in there, they're gonna get destroyed. Wow, you know, listen, so everything you said you've done. So a couple hiccups here and there, but almost everything. So now the picture with Amanda rebus, right? That was the one in that picture. You're talking about my Brazilian honey. Yeah, yeah. Pollyanna, what's your last name? Diana. Probably gonna be Anna. There's a picture of you guys together. She kind of has her hand close to your junk. It's like a shot. And then you put it up, and you're like, chilling with my babe or something. And then the Internet went crazy. People were like, mad at her because she's Brazilian and yada, yada. But now, are you guys together? Like, what's going on there? Dude, we're just a couple of adults, you know, and join our life Adam. You know, of course we were getting some bedroom cardio in, you know, we had to work on our cardio, make sure we got the championship rounds in, getting ready for our next fights, but you know, it was nothing more than a friendship. You know, adults having fun. Can adults not have fun and sleep together anymore. Like, what's the big deal? Okay, I got it. You guys are just now what she jealous of you and all these other girls because it seems like every time there's a fight, this you and three very promiscuous looking hot women making flight predictions. She got upset about that?.

"This is the first time I've ever done this interview with you. You need to have American flag in the back and a maga hat, like a Trump picture. What are you talking about? The American flag. I met like a yes, you're right. There is a idiot. I'm a completely but not in a maga hat. Yeah, yes. So Colby Covington, how are you looking freaking strong as hell? How are you, man? I've never been better at him. I've been training hard. I'm ready to go get my world title. It doesn't matter if Marty's gonna be showing up. Dana already said, I'm fighting for the world title next. So I'm training accordingly and we'll see who's gonna get this work for the world title. Now, I mean, that's 100% because I was at that first fight. It was so close. It was two to two going to the 5th. One judge had you winning. You could argue that you were winning easily. And then you slipped up a banana peel. We all know what happened. The judge stopped it early. But it was like such a great fight and you had food poisoning. According to you, that you got food with the night before, you were up till 5 in the morning. So why wouldn't you get this next shot? Yeah, why wouldn't I? I'm the number one ranked fighter in the world. You know, that's what the rankings say, you know, my recipe may speak for itself. I've beaten four UFC champions. I've had pretty much a near flawless record and, you know, Dana White said himself. Me and Marty juice first fight was one of the greatest fights of all time that he's ever seen. And you know, there's going to be a rematch. You know, there was a lot of controversy in that first fight. If I would end up winning that night, I wouldn't have been okay with it. I would have wanted to run it back because I want to leave no doubt in the fans eyes that I'm the best in the world. And you know what, Marty juiceman has left a lot of doubts in the fan size. They don't know if he's the best because, you know, I was beating him. He faked a nutshell..

"Well, first, the first thing I'm going to do differently at him is I'm not going to trust the UFC PI to do my meals again because then I know I'm not going to get poisoned two days before the biggest fight of my life and be puking my guts up 20 times. So that's the first adjustment that I'm going to make. The second one is I'm going to wrestle more because I know who's been scared to wrestle with me. He knows if he gets in scrambles and we have to wrestle and it gets we have to dig deep. He's going to be too tired and he's going to fatigue and it strikes aren't going to be as powerful and he's going to quit. He's a quitter at the end of the day. You just have to take him those deep waters. And last fight I didn't take him to the deep waters because I was sick man. I got food poison two days before the fucking fight. And third, the third adjustment is we're not going to have Mark not so Goddard. Saving his fucking life. That second round, when I kicked him in the liver, he would have been finished. I rocked him a minute before that. And then I kicked him in the liver and his liver was shutting down. He was quitting. He would have, I would have put so many strikes against the case. He would have just gave up. It would have been a TKO there. But no, Mark Goddard saved his life through my life raft and he did it again with the fake eye Pope when he was faking out on the other eye. And you know, so I'm going to have a competent ref that calls the fight fairly and it's down the middle. And you know, besides that I've made a lot of adjustments in my striking game, you know, keeping my hands up a lot more fakes. You know, just a lot more death to my striking game that people are going to see soon. And all thanks to Colby Covington and corporated. Now Rashad Evans opening up his own gym in Florida. Are you going to bring him in? Shit, I might have to, man. I heard he had a fallout with those men who's been treated him like shit. And it's sad because Rashad always had to lose his back. He put, you know, fake newsman on his couch when fake newsman had nowhere to stay and no money and, you know, he brought him up and gave him a gym and gave him an opportunity and helped him out and worked with him. And then for Uzbek had to turn his back and think he's bigger than Rashad and think he's, you know, God's gift to earth because that's what everybody says, you know, the fake newsman thinks he's just better than people now. It's just sad. So, you know, maybe I will hire Rashad. I've always had respect for him and I respect his accomplishments and also dean Thomas started his own gym. I know that dean trains woodley, but I don't think he'd be a post training you. As long as he's not fighting anymore, that might be a dean Thomas. Never heard of him. He was a trainer at your gym. Come on, dean Thomas. Amazing fighter. You have some fighters. Possibly a Hall of Famer. Yes, dean Taylor. I don't know, I don't have that in front of me, but I'm sure I'm sure Joe. I think I remember that guy. His name was didn't do nothing..

"They can't even go out and put their hands on someone without getting a charge or getting kicked off the force. So, you know, I wanted to show my support for them and how appreciative I am for what they do. And keeping us safe and, you know, it's been a great experience. You know, I'm welcome to Miami Beach police department any time now and those guys, they showed me the shoe anytime. And they just gave me their time anytime I want it now. I came a couple days ago on the drop of the dime and they're like, yeah, come Kobe and got to shoot M 5s and assault rifles and all these crazy like you pissed on with like crazy silencers and nice scopes and, you know, it's just been a really cool experience just to, you know, be able to hang with them. Wow. Now you left American Top Team. And you kind of formed your own gym. Is that a couple things? Who are you bringing in? That cost me a lot more money because now you got to pay people to train with. You know, no, it's probably going to save me a good amount of money to be honest, you know? At American Top Team, you know, you have your gym fees that you have to pay and you have to and I always paid my individualized coaches. So, you know, now it's just, it's just individualized coaches. I'm not paying the GMP because I'm my own gym. I'm Kobe Covington incorporated now. So, you know, I brought some of the best coaches around into my jam and I have some great training partners and, you know, I'm getting better every single day, you know? It's not ready to be in deal yet. What my training partners and all my coaches are, but at the right time, before my next fight, you know, that'll get a deal. And, you know, everybody will know that the CC I Colby Covington incorporated for real. And we're here to stay, man. We're just getting started out of my promise you the best is yet to come. Now, are you worried that guys are going to go not going to go a 100% with you? Because they're not going to want to hurt you because you're implying them. No, I'm not worried at all. I think that we train smart at Colby Covington incorporated, but you know, I always believe in giving your all. So, you know, I want them to go hard and, you know, and being the best fighter in the world, you should be able to train with any style and be able to maneuver through, you know, all the all the crazy training and all the reckless people that train like that and be able to, you know, just pretty much be able to stop it and not get hurt. So I'm not really too worried about that. Now listen, I was telling Joe. I'm like, listen, personally, I think American Top Team got you to the point where you got the title shot..

"This back. This shit ain't overlooked. Now you're okay, but you're on my poke. Okay, the time he poked you. Were you faking it? Well, then you kind of fake something as well. I've never picked anything in my life. He put me straight up in the eye and Mark Goddard said, all right, no more timeouts. You guys keep fighting. Oh, so now you're acknowledging that you gave Marty fake newsman two fake timeouts before and you're not going to give me a timeout when I legitimately got Pope, but it's okay. I'm used to the fact that gets me. I'm going to keep fighting because I don't ask for time out your breaks. I asked to go out there and fight to the death and fight till someone's unconscious and I got robbed of that. It's bullshit. They fight fake stoppage, and that shit needs to be reviewed. Okay, and protesting. I want my rematch. Okay, but now that you know that usman is capable of dropping you because he did drop you. Are you going to fight a little safer? Or is this going to go on a punch? Banana peel? Slipped on a banana peel. You know, it got really slippery in the UFC octagon that night and I fell to the ground, but hey, I was in a safe space. I tried to double leg. He was just putting his hips on me. Dude, as a wrestler Adam, you know, wrestling, you coach kids wrestling. Dude, I relax most of the time and fights or in rest and matches what I'm gonna double leg extended and I'm just kind of catching my breath catching my senses, getting back to reality. And that's exactly what I was doing. Intelligently defending myself, putting my hand behind my back because he's hitting the back of my head. I mean, I mean, you're supposed to only be able to hit from like right here to right here and why is he hitting clearly in the back of my head? I had to get stitches behind my head because he put so many marks back there. Wow. Well, listen, I mean, Colby Covington. I keep coming away. I want to hate you, bro I really want him. Why do you want to hate him? Because no, you know what I mean? I don't know. I don't know if I agree with this politics. I don't know if I agree, but I just keep winning me back, bro I don't know how you keep doing it. You keep convincing me to, you know, I was gonna, I was gonna vote for Bernie, but I'm swinging this way. No, but usman got booed at the last time, UFC event. They put a picture on him. He was I got booed for sure. Look, I don't think he's not gonna get booed. I'm sure the booze are gonna keep coming his way. And he's gonna keep smiling right through it. That's what's making me a fan. That's what's making me a fan. He doesn't give a fuck what you guys say. He's gonna keep doing his thing. And you know what?.

"The UFC puts on a lot. And they put one on that night. It was all great fights and drama. And that's why they do so good. In the world, if you will. But and come from where they've come from to really pass boxing when it comes to the ratings on regular shows, regular shows. That when you're putting on, you know, if you put Joshua with fury, of course, that's a different ball game or Canelo with the right guy. That's a different universe. But on the whole, they got a pay per view with their fights. I mean, they're doing better than boxing. I mean, they'll pay per view as much better. Much higher numbers. But to get to the fight again, that's what Covington's going to look to do, I believe, and needs to do, and he needs to avoid some of those finance because that's my fault tools must must for those chance to land a good straight right hand. He's a good striker. He's creative. He's got pretty good legs. He's 30, 7 years old. I know, but it's going to need those legs. He's going to need to keep range. He's going to need to keep distance separation, and he's going to need to make Covington pay a price for real estate. You know, charge him a couple right hands for every foot that he tries to gain in that octagon, coming forward. Charge them for real estate, not money, but punches. He's going to need the right hand is going to need to jab to keep the right hand at the keep the range to set up that right hand. He's going to need that jab to keep that range, he's going to need a little recklessness from Covington coming in. And again, he's going to need to do what people do against southpaws. Use that's how popular the right hand. And Covington, as I just said, he gets civil right hand. So he's going to need to do that, keep separation, have capability when it comes to the deschutes where Covington will try to get him to the mat. If he can do that, it's going to be a hell of a fight, a very interesting fight. I don't think he wants a slugfest. Covington is dealing with a slugfest. I think Mars would do wants to be able to get more of a boxing match. In the way that he can. I mean, he'll do what he has to do to all tough guys. But I think he needs more of that. Now here's The X Factor. Here's the intangible. The mental side. Who's better? Well, Covington is coming off a really good fight going to distance with all his money. He got stopped the first time late in the fight, got a broken shot. Came off going the distance. And the first fight some people thought he was winning a fight or possibly winning a fight. So he's come off some that's got to make him feel damn good mentally. And of course most of all is coming from the worst place, getting knocked out cold in the second round of one clean right hand. In that fight and he's got to get rid of the bats in the belfry, the ghosts in the attic from that fight. That's what he's going to do. That's part of it. The mental part is a big part of it. Where will he be? Now, most people are going to say, you got to favor Covington. I don't blame them. I don't disagree. And what about the hunger factor? Who's hungry? Made a lot of money the last couple of years. You know, he had Dana White over barrel in that first husband fight with somebody dropped out and it was a big fight. They needed a big name and he was able to get the money that he probably would have gotten if he didn't have them in that kind of pickle. So he's made a lot of money. So you would think Covington, this is Covington's chance to go to the dance. You know, to step to that kind of that kind of zip code that area called kind of like the jeffersons. I love to Jefferson. Remember that years ago that, you know, moving on up. Moving on up to the side. To the east side. I like that. So he's got a chance to move on up to the east side. With the money. And so you would think all that favors him. I got it. I got you. I got you. But there's something on Mars for doing side. It's pride. They all have pride. But it's legacy. It's saving it's saving your legacy. It's called redemption. That's what it's called. Where he got knocked out, and he doesn't want to leave that there. He doesn't want to leave that there. And he wants to revive what people think of him, his image, his brand, but him, forget brand because that implies money. It's steeper than that. It's kind of like when I talked about when I broke down the fight with fury and wada. And I gave wato good chance that I was right. He came so close. And the reason I gave him a good chance, even though he don't fight nearly as good as fury, as because it was about redemption, it was about him as a man as a person. Who he was going to be and who he's going to be reminded. Who he was going to be remembered as. When he walked down the street and people saw, and when he looked in the.

"Ten free travel packs with your athletic greens, first order. All right, let's get into this UFC match. What do you look for with Colby Covington for us, our friend Jorge Masvidal, friend of the show? I'm going to be out there covering her for ESPN. So jealous. So I'm going to be out there. I'm going to cover the ESPN, you figure it out. 50 years in a boxing game, they send me out to UFC fights. I don't know. I mean, but I'm glad because I think the promoter of UFC actually likes you though. I don't know about the box. Something strange going on there. But it gives you that spot, not the other. You could be on to something Sherlock. Captain obvious. But anyway, now listen, I love, hey, I love the sport now. I love the fighters in the UFC just like I love to fight as a boxing. And I'm on it. I'm honored. I'm privileged that they want me out there to talk a little bit and I'm going to be with Chelsea and one of the greats in the business and with all the bad guy. I'd probably want to one of the great producers directors in the business in boxing and MMA. So I'm going to be really, I'm just privileged. I'm going to go people. And it's going to be a great fight. It's supposed to be a great fight. It should be a great fight. A lot of interest, you know, Covington draws people. He's like Muhammad Ali. He goes by the Muhammad Ali. And philosophy of people are going to come together going to hate me or they're going to love me, but they're going to come and buy a ticket, you know? And he knows how to get that storm going. And they got a storm gone between him and Masvidal who used to be teammates. But teammates, they were like best Friends. Yeah. Best Friends. Exactly. So Covington and the analysis that obvious I'm not telling you anything that everyone doesn't know. He's the better wrestler that he was a tremendous collegiate wrestling champion division one he's the guy that his partners game plan is going to be put on precious steady pressure. I think he needs to do it not reckless pressure. Steady pressure behind the jab and then get takedowns when he can. Get to shoots, get takedown. Now the one thing that's opposing of Masvidal can't match him for, you know, his proudness on the mat, but he's very good at defending takedowns very good. He showed that with oseman too in the first fight when he was in the top shape. So he's good at inescapability. You know, kind of like Kyle Murray, the great quarterback of that. Arizona called John Elway years ago. They know how to escape to sack. He's good at that. He's going to have to be good at that. He's going to come in with steady pressure, I believe. Covington looked to get takedowns if he can get in the geography once. That suits him for his skills. And he's a guy with a, you know, he's a guy with a motor that doesn't stop. You know, he's got that cardiovascular. You know, kind of like Neil Armstrong had it in, you know, you know about that better than I do in cycling. He had that extra lung. Now I know people are going to say, oh yeah, teddy did steroids. But before that, let's put that aside. Tell me if I'm right or wrong, Ken. He had that extra lung. He had that capacity to really, really go up the mountains, probably better than most, or maybe anybody. He had that. He had a super high VO2 max. One of the highest ever measured and that's the real measure of an endurance athlete is the VO2 max. How much oxygen I think that's how much oxygen they get in each breath maybe in the blood, but it has to do with it has to do with work capacity and like Nordic Nordic skiers, cross country skiers have historically have the highest and then cyclists. But yeah, Lance, when they measured him at the Olympic training center in his early days, they were like, they knew right away that he was one, 'cause it's like a metric that you can point to and say, if this guy stays with that, this is an elite elite athlete. And I'm sorry. I'm sorry for calling him a S tonight. I meant lancer. I mean, I know people say he's in space. And I'm sorry. He's not now to space. He's here. And I guess he's still right so by going to spare time. But he's a venture capitalist now. Sports health and wellness. Well, there it is. Make a lot of money still as he did before. But I would, I would say, tell me if this is fair can. I would say Covington's in that in that company of cardiovascular advantage capacity. That he clearly has a high work rate. So as fine tuned as a cardio cardiovascularly as an athlete can be, I think, in the cage. Yeah, so that's what I think. So I think that he's going to look to grind. He's going to look to put the study pressure, try to wear them as much for those are big on the dog. What is it? They don't want to. I know, I know you look at it while I'm talking but I know he's a big underdog. And I got the line right now as mazar I plus two 50 Covington is minus three 20. Yeah, so I was right there. I would say three to one. So at the end of the day, they're both going to try to play into their strengths. As I said, Covington get to take down, you know, don't get careless, try not to get hit too much. One of the things we're Covington and southpaw. He gets hit a lot of right hands. And he got hit, he got a broken joiner person who's been fighting. He got hit a lot. But to his credit, you know, he was still there going to distance against usman in Madison Square Garden in a remarkable fight of remarkable night, a remarkable cod that the UFC puts on a lot. And they put one on that night. It was all great fights and drama. And that's why they do so good..

Kyle Rittenhouse Is Exactly the Kind of Enemy the Left Wants to Create
"If you show up to a rally or you show up to a city burning while the National Guard is not there and the police have been told to stand down and you defend yourself because someone's trying to kill you and that someone trying to kill you is a child rapist? You're gonna get tried for first degree murder in your family has to go into debt to try to defend you, which we're seeing right now with Kyle rittenhouse. And by the way, if this was 1892, and it was the KKK trying to take over a city, and it was a black 17 year old that took a gun to go to the burning city. We would have like a national holiday to that young man. Seriously. Not saying that's what we need for Kyle, not saying we'd like a national holiday, but I'm saying that it would be everyone would say this is the most amazing heroic thing I've ever seen. But instead, let's just be let's just be as blunt and honest about it. Kyle rittenhouse tracks a box of the type of let's say enemy they want to create. And we saw this earlier with what happened with the Nicolas Sandman case. You guys remember that the Covington kids? Remember the Covington kids? Where Nicholas Sandman on the steps of the capitol with that lunatic came up with the drum and started banging it in his head, and his head was his face, and we were told that the young kid was the one that's provoking and saying racist things, total lie. Totally exonerated one his lawsuits. But no, the thing that Kyle rittenhouse did wrong is that he fit the perfect type of archetype where Joe Biden came out and said that Kyle rittenhouse is a white supremacist. Said that on Twitter, hope he gets sued for that one day in civil court. There is no evidence of that. But instead, here is the essence of it is that there was a picture, the same thing that happened on the southern border when you had border patrol agents on horseback, and they said, oh, they're using whips to go after migrants, total lie, it's called a bridle or saddle. You ever ride a horse before New York Times weirdo, right? And of course not. Never even west of the Mississippi River, let alone ever mounted a horse, right? No, it's a whip. No, but all they have is the narrative. So Kyle rittenhouse, they had the picture they wanted. AR-15, mouth wide open, young, white, Trump loving, a green shirt and hat backwards, looking like he's kind of playing the insurrectionist. Boom. Put him in
'Covington Kid' Nick Sandmann Thinks Kyle Rittenhouse Should Sue for Defamation: ‘Hold the Media Accountable’
"One more note here is we're watching the Kenosha trial of Kyle rittenhouse. Remember the Covington Catholic high school student Nicholas Sandman who won millions of dollars from the mainstream media, one of the few people I've ever seen to take on the beast and he won. By the way, that kid get all that money? 'cause it was like 20 some $1 million. Is that kid walking around with like $27 million in his bank account? He filed defamation lawsuits as you'll recall against CNN, Washington Post NBC for out of context portrayals of the then 16 year old student, appearing to mock the Native American Nathan Phillips. He won like millions. Well, Nicholas Sandman is saying that Kyle rittenhouse should do the same that he did and filed a defamation suit against the media beast. Maybe a couple of maybe a couple of rich kids thanks to the mainstream media
'The Dying Citizen' Author Victor Davis Hanson Explains Why He Parted Ways With 'The National Review'
"Is it true professor Hansen that you no longer write for the national review, something I was hoping you would decide to do for the last few months? You know, that's a very strange thing. I actually left on January 1 of almost a year ago, but I write a syndicated column that they picked up and so until a few weeks ago, months ago, it was almost people would say to me, why are you writing when you left your big column? I wrote to a week. And I said, I can't control the number of people who want to subscribe to the column. But finally, I think we worked out a thing where they're not subscribing for I'm not writing it. I mean, they're not picking up anything right. And we're not associated anymore. I think this is a fascinating thing we have to dwell on for a moment because this isn't Buckley's national review. Could you talk to us about what they got wrong and why you're not sad not to be published by them? What happened to this? This absolute pillar of conservative thought. I don't know. I have a lot of close friends there, then I was there 20 years and I owe a debt of gratitude in many ways, but I had warned them and they disagreed about it that 90% of their own agendas were championed by Donald Trump. And their argument that he was so crude and uncouth, I asked for empirical proof that tell me about the private live or the office, White House lie out life of LBJ or JFK or Bill Clinton to show me that Trump was cruder. And so I didn't get an adequate answer, and then there were the Covington kids things, the access Hollywood stuff that and lately, Trump is a monkey in a helicopter or Rush Limbaugh was after he died. There was a column about. So we disagreed. But my biggest disagreement was, I said that after the election was over, that Biden would be so bad and so predictably bad that they would be in a situation where they would end up as some other fiercest critics which would beg the question well if you agree so bad, and there was a way to stop him being so bad. Why didn't the magazine take that option? And I couldn't get an adequate response

"Sad truth. Is that people of your elk. And i always tell people checkout american greatness love american greatness. We had chris on the editor and founder for for an hour. Just a few days ago people of your ilk this about maybe five of you so people who do the research aren't afraid and publish the truth. That the mainstream legacy lying media will never ever ever ever ever publish even if you put a gun to their head. They wouldn't do it. What makes you do what you do. Total millions of listeners. Why do you do julie. Well i i don't know i'm always surprised when people say thank you for your courage and i think we'll i'm just reporting what's happening. I mean that's basically what i've been doing. Although i will say on january six like i said about my grandparents i thought about them and i thought they would be laughing at the thought that this is a huge battle. One of the darkest days in american history. I mean i remember watching an ira. The Populated Intersection Between Trauma and Addiction
"Today. Our topic is the intersection between trauma and addiction and recovery from both dr. Stephanie covington's a skilled clinician on inciteful author an engaging public speaker and our guest today. I've had the opportunity to hear. Dr covington lecture several times over the years. But this is the first time i've ever had the honor of interviewing her. Thank you stephanie. For joining us today bigger. Thank you. And i gotta ask you right off the bat. What is your interest in addiction and trauma and the intersection. Where does that come from. Well initially my interest in addiction came from my own experience recovering woman early in my recovery. I thought to myself. I wish one of the women could feel the way i do. A series of events led me into the addiction field. Abc focusing on women. And as i did that. I realized so many of the women i was seeing either in group in a treatment center or private practice i had had trauma histories and i realized nobody was talking about that. And begin to more and it was just. It was the evolution of my work really and those days. now. I'm talking about in the eighties. The addiction field did not want to talk about trauma. I mean i can't even tell you the negative pushback guy it was. It was fairly powerful in the mantra in the addiction. Field was when you're clean and sober. You have a trauma history you can deal with a year from now get a year recovery and then deal with it and i knew many people were never going to get a year pre covering. I wanna come back to having a couple of minutes. Let me ask you i. Can you define trauma for us. Sure the various definitions of trauma. I mean the one that mental health providers using the diagnostic manual is that it's really a life threatening event and it's a life threatening event in which can occur because you experience it or you witnessed so you hear about it happening to somebody else or you get it because you're surrounded by trauma and there has to be a particular response

Election 2020 Analysis: Bethany Mandel, Ron Kampeas
"Mandel is an editor writer and podcast at ricochet and online hub. For conservative conversation she's also a rising social media star and conservative columnist. Who has garnered quite a bit of attention. In recent months decrying the government overreach of quarantine restrictions and going from being a never trumper in two thousand sixteen to supporting the president's twenty twenty reelection in a recent column in the forward she talks about why pollsters trying to project the election's outcome got it so wrong once again but don't expect this conversation to be a breakdown of methodology and shifting demographics. Her explanation is much simpler than that and she will explain bethany. Welcome to people of the pot. I think you so much for having me. I'm sorry for the puppy noise. You might hear in the background okay. Now before we begin. I want to remind our listeners. Ajc is a nonpartisan five. Oh one c. Three not for profit entity that neither endorses nor opposes candidates for elective office. So anything i say or ask or challenge really is in pursuit of an explanation. Because i do want our audience to listen so bethany for those who did not read your column. Tell us why. Pollsters predicted a blue wave that we did not see in last week's election so i think that there's going to be a lot of explanations that become clear over the next few months there might be problems with the way that they call people how they call people but i noticed anecdotally and i was saying for months beforehand the most simple explanation for why i thought that it would be extremely close or why the president would garner. Reelection is just because people were lying because they didn't feel comfortable telling the truth and when they would get a call who you voted for from a stranger because you don't actually know who upholstery is. And you can't confirm their identity on the phone When they get a call from pollster hi. I'm just curious for you're voting for. They're not going to tell you on the phone who they're voting for. And in my column i give a story that i thought was really illustrative of my thinking on it coming up prior to the election. Which was i have a. I have a girlfriend who lives in a swing state. i think it's north carolina. And i asked her at the outset of our conversation who e-voting for just sort of in passing and she said. I am still undecided. I don't know what to do and we had a very long conversation. And what we're really talking about was actually. She was doing a conference that got cancelled by a social media. Mob and people were falsely accused of racism. Yada yada and the entire six months of work that she did for the conference just went up in smoke and and it was cancelled and so we were talking about that. And i said this is the kind of stuff that makes people vote for trump. Because he talks about this. Like social media mobs the cancel culture in all these things and i was kind of laughing about how this experience would make her into a trump voter over the course of our conversation. I said yeah. I'm voting for trump this summer on. I never thought i would have done that for years ago. And she was like wait. A second you are and i forgot that. She doesn't follow me on social media. She doesn't know. Sort of where i fall and i said yeah my buddy for trump and she was like oh i am too. I mailed ballots in weeks ago. And she's a friend of mine and we were having an hour long conversation and it was only after i told her that i was voting for president trump that she admitted that she was as well. And so we finished texting. And i looked at my husband and i said the polls were wrong. If this woman who i've known for five years didn't feel comfortable telling me who she was voting for until i told her there's no way we'll no much was made that there were fewer undecided voters in this year's polls but also sounds like what you're saying is that there was even smaller number because those who said they were undecided or at least some of them voted for trump right or they were lying and they said they were voting for biden instead. I i think that that's definitely a possibility as well. Okay now why would they have said president biden. What been the reasoning there. That's the safe answer in this. Cancel culture environment that you know voting for vice. President biden was stackable incorrect dancer. But i think that I think that a lot of people probably unfit apply. I'm curious if you've gotten any feedback from people who read your column and said how dare you call us liars absolutely. Not every single person understood. Even i as someone who works in the media until the eleventh hour did not want to say i was voting for president trump. Because i knew that every time he does something stupid from then on out people with throw that calm back in my face and say this is what you signed on for whatever reality. I'm like. I signed a deal with the devil and i knew i was signing a deal with the devil and i'm not not raw about him. I'm not maga- it's it's an unfortunate situation and it is what it is something that really frustrated me in the wake of biden's election was people sort of saying koumba. Let's all come together and we're were you three years ago. Where were you last year. Why didn't you speak up for the covington. Boys and pete buttigieg was one of the people who was saying it and your staffer. Literally making lists of trump administration employees to blacklist them and to strip them of their livelihood and i think people across the spectrum have different opinions of people who worked in the administration. I know a million of them and they understood the deal that the that the devil that they made to and they were trying to uniformly serve our country and to mediate. Trump's trump. Nece and i think they did a great job and i am appreciative of the work that they did in every single department they worked in and they made it possible for us to come out of the last four years. Fine we're fine as a country and pete bridges people. His former staff are making lists of all of these people and pitas coming out. And saying you know. Let's all come together. I'm like okay. Put your money where your mouth is and publicly denounced what your staff are doing. Where is that being reported. I don't know where it's being reported. It's called the trump accountability project. And if you google it. I'm sure only conservative media are covering it because that's how it is. They had a website called trump accountability project. And it's time for people to put their money where their mouth is a little bit on this and no one is and michelle. Obama tweeted something the other day. That was you know. Half of americans who voted for him are x y. You know the whole litany of and this is not. I don't know how you move forward. When that when the former first lady is impugning the motives of half of the americans that voted for for trump. And you're not. You're not voting for racism. You're not voting for you. Know i think. I think that's a really simplistic way of looking at things. And it's also a really divisive and toxic way and if biden wants to actually move forward in a kun-bae off fashion say something about what michelle obama tweeted now. I want to reiterate what you said at the beginning. Bethany that this is just your theory. it's based on anecdotal evidence. There are many reasons why the polls might not have panned out this year. But let me ask you this. Not all pollsters work for media some work for politicians who are trying to assess what their constituents want. Do you think people understand that. Not being truthful about their preferences might undermine the whole democratic process. Do you believe that so. That's an interesting question. Because in some part it undermines the thesis of my piece because we saw that the internal polling that was done by campaigns was actually far superior to that of the media companies. And i think that people are more apt to trust a cloister that is not in the media because people don't trust the media dot readily and that distrust has been well earned by the media but the internals that we can gather that the biden campaign was getting told them to go to georgia and it seemed like a crazy idea and they were right to do so. So i i think that the internal polls that campaigns had were better than the media hat by. I don't think it undermines the democratic process because is not essential to the democratic process. It just it gives campaigns some idea of where they should be focusing and what their messaging should be but overall the democratic process is completely hinged upon votes. And that's really what counts at the end of the day well bethany. Thank you so much for. Your thoughts really intriguing thoughts. I really appreciate that. And i hope our listeners. Think about it i hope. I hope you've given them food for thought. Thanks
"covington" Discussed on Northern Kentucky Spotlight
"A lot of people when they come in they've either been walking around they've seen the site they've been sticking their head in kind of wondering what's going on when the shipping containers got put on site it really raised a lot of questions just to what is the space and frankly what we wanted this to be was that that space where everybody could come hang out have a drink grab a bite to eat talk to some friends wage act as a backyard atmosphere that a lot of people in Covington just don't have due to the site home sites and the nature of Covington's architecture. So when you come to coming to New York, you walk through a shipping container that was a one-time used shipping container from China and we repurposed it as our entry feature as you walk in. Then you see the artificial turf on site and we have multiple birth. Vendors that are available from lunch hours into the evening hours. Now those hours have been somewhat dynamic as we figure out the Kinks associated with operating a restaurant and a bar and a pandemic but our operating team on site has been able to kind of navigate some of those issues and they're starting to roll out lunch hours and the dinner has been consistent. Every time that The Yardbirds open. We have three food vendors open for dinner. That's Django tacos Yardbird chicken tenders and mr. Bulgogi Korean BBQ. We also have a fourth vendor that will be announcing soon that will open first week in November. So we're looking forward to having four different food options for people on a regular basis as well as being able to enjoy the outdoor atmosphere TVs music live bands that kind of thing, you know, this concept is new for Covington, but not new overall. This is you know, a lot of cities have been going to these kind of like outdoor Food Hall type situations. Yeah, and that's frankly we didn't come up with this idea. We certainly plagiarize dead. Other locations around the world. So we were just happy to be able to bring something unique and interesting into that Covington area to engage some of the vacant and blighted storefronts that we had in this this track season and it's gone over well so far people seem to enjoy the the socially distanced atmosphere that we're able to provide and we hope to continue that in the winter as we add heater in tenting options that will allow for people to still be able to be outside still be able to be socially distant but venture out and get some of that Community bonding that people are needing at this point. What's your goal? Where do you see Covington yard in the future? You know, hopefully we just have a consistent group of people that like to come here. They hang out and really treated their own backyard at the onset of this. We had intended to host birthday parties wedding events and different types of events that you would typically have at a large venue, but that wage Has been challenging in the pandemic. So we've not taken event requests. We are filing people's names so that if the pandemic does lift and were able to hold larger events we can kind of regroup on that that front page but what where we really hope to take this is to to be a staple for the Covington Northern Kentucky Greater Cincinnati community that you can come down and be the starting point or the editing point for your night out on the town. So our position located in between the new music venue across from the banks next to the the Braxton Hotel Covington area the main store Osteria, it really gives us the opportunity to be a strong point or ending points of people's nights as they go out and enjoy the town and dog friendly and family-friendly During certain hours as well. Absolutely. So the the turf that we installed is pet friendly Turf Club and you're welcome to bring your Pooch as long as long as they have leashes and they're well-behaved. Of course the same goes for the kids yet leashes and well-behaved with make sure of that so we know we look forward to it I had Young children myself and it's great to bring them here. You know, they have different food options. There's mocktails, even for the kids that they could have non-alcoholic drinks that they can experience team and they'll be different programming events. As we continue. The the opening will have different programming that's geared around the children and families as well. Excellent Josh. Thanks so much. And again one of the chamber's newest member, so we certainly want to introduce you to Covington yard. So check them out for different food vendors. And of course, I mean what place in Greater Cincinnati would be a place without a little bit of adult beverages as well. So that's the latest from here in Covington yard stick with is though the Northern Kentucky Spotlight will be right back your Northern Kentucky chamber saved you money. That's going to be use, mon- versus over Burns, and then do you wait for the winter or do you fight Gilbert Burns in the meantime and that? It was on. How do you do? I've never heard of a dilbert. What is it? Adam. I think it's Hilbert. Go Burns look really at six fights. He beat Tiger Woods. He He'd knocked Damian Maya. You gotta give the guys. Never heard of the DILBERT. You've talked about two that are forty years old and way past their prime power, those how those fucking impressive wins! Tell me that Adam how? Forty years old. That's why his name's Dilbert. Nobody knows who the fuck is, and I'm now citing fucking journeyman. I've already thought enough. Journeyman I'm fighting the biggest names in the sports you know. I got nothing to do with any guy that nobody's ever heard of now. According to we, we were talking about it. He says you're one of the top three draws in the UFC. And I know I was thinking about it like I think you are. McGregor is retired. I gotta go McGregor's. Big Your second. Are you second behind McGregor? Due to be honest I think I. If you look at the numbers, the numbers never lie. We know that if you go look on Dana White's pays his his. When he puts all the videos of the fighters going in for their fights. My last fight I had seven million viewers looking at Dana White's twitter page for what I walked into building Carter only had like five hundred thousand. A hundred thousand. Nobody gives a fuck about it. Georgia's last two hundred thousand eight s five, hundred thousand. no-one's crossing the million plank and I'm at six something million, and that's just fast. Look Dana a twitter from my December. I'm draw people WANNA. See me fights whether you love your hate me. Maybe I don't. Have you know millions of dollars because I didn't by followers like all these steak sucks. Sucks George like I'd have to buy following..

"How are you bringing in? A cost? Knew a lot more money. Because now. You gotta pay people to train with. All. Now, it's probably GonNa save me a good amount of money to be honest. At American top team you know us, you have your GMT's that you have to pay you have to, and I always paid my individualized coaches so. It's just it's just individualized coaches. I'm not paying the Jim Because I'm Jeff. I'm Kobe Covington INC now so you know I brought some of the best coaches around into my jam. I've some great training partners, and and you don't get better every single day. You know it's not. It's not ready to be delayed yet. What what might trading partners? All my coaches are butts at the right time before my next fight. You know that'll get involved and you know everybody will know that the. I call becoming to incorporate is for real, and we're here to stay man. We're just getting started I promise you. The best is yet to come now. Are you worried? The guys are going to go not gonNA go one hundred percent with you because they're not. GonNa want to hurt you because you're implying them. Now I'm not worried at all I think that. We trained smart call become incorporated, but you know I believe in giving your also you know i. want them to go hard at you know. and. Being the best fighter in the world, you should be able to train with any style and be able to maneuver through. You know all the all the crazy. Training and and all the reckless people that that train like that and be able to. You know just pretty much be able to to stop in and not get hurt, so I'm not really too worried about that. Now listen I was telling Joe I'm like listen personally I. Think American. Top team got you to the point where you got the title. Shot your one minute away from being the best ever. Mess in the world Why would I say they're saying? You're the one who got yourself there so obviously I'd never been. Were you were in fighting? I mean in anything so obviously. You know what you're doing. But. What would you say that people that are like? Hey, man. If ain't broke. Well first off, you know. I gotTa Stop You. Because American top team did not get me to a world championship level..

"Me Adam Hunter giving you three this week three. Okay, because we love you, we love our fans, and because Colby Cubbon is coming today as well. As well as Lonzo minded field, we got two studs coming on. We have a guy who's ranked number one in the World Kobe and A Guy. WHO's top ten I, think Lonzo. He will be a two Oh five. The guy's a monster is like ten and one with. Nine knockouts, ten knockouts, these guys, the real deal and I love having them on. He lost his last fight. It was. Super Close, it could have went to him and Learning Experience I. don't even know it's like sometimes losing. They get dominated. You're like this guy needs to step back in other times. It's like a close fight. And A Guy? Almost his stock raises even in defeat. The guy like that like Greg. Hardy is a perfect example of who you know. His his last loss I mean everyone was was counting him out and saying that like he has no shot, and he went three rounds against against the Russian look great. Yeah it gets Volkov. And that's one of those things were when you get guys that are young and have unlimited potential and are new to the sport. Meg is not young, but he's young in MMA and he goes. Three rounds against. Against Volk on Volkov and A. Hangs in there. You're like. Wow, look at the upswing. I remember. That was like Kevin Lee when Kevin Lee came on the scene. His first loss was to ally Kita pretty heard Al, and he looked so good. People were like Whoa. This dude. Where did this guy come from? Landau landover non-auto against Tony Ferguson his first fight. People were like his stock rose incredibly. So that's the thing it's like. Even when you lose, you look better when you win, you can still win. Look terrible guy like Jackson who I like. My Jackson but he wanted to teach punk lesson and he got cut after the win. He's the only guy in the history of U. OF C. to lose after a win. Cut After a win. You can lose by winning a win by losing that was. A famous quote in a movie before your time called white men can't jump. It was all with Woody Harrelson movie I want to sponsors. Feed marijuana is legal in California, okay, get it delivered right to at speed. We'd that calm so I'm excited about this. Fight I actually. I got invited to a pool party. this week with the baby. What you're thinking you fun and it's. A good friend of mine who haven't seen for a while on a party, just me and my daughter and my wife, and this guy, his his his daughter. Are Our kids friends?.

"When I get done with you, we're not going to be friends. This business nothing personal. You Watch. Not Michael Jordan documentary the Bulls now. Now I actually haven't I want to get caught up soon on the last dance, but I haven't been able to catch episode yet is always good. It's amazing. It's really great. It's fast. Remind me a hit and a little bit Jordan. Like that's the way Jordan was like if he has to beat them. All he would do think about that. And then come back and beat you so I heard I read somebody stories to that like he was he would show up to the arena and he's got hundreds of millions of dollars in. He's gambling against The stewardess there the ushers their security guard. Yeah the five dollar games who can get like quarters closer to the door or something like that? And he make up reasons to fucking hate you. It's all you ought one thing, and then he is the most competitive person of all time. It's amazing by the way other. What do you think of a Henry Pseudo retiring? I think that it's a fake retirement. I think he's looking for more money and he's not really going to retire, so he's just looking to use leverage and get money from the UFC and let's be honest. He doesn't WANNA. Fight the top contenders. He's just looking to fight guys that are washed up past their prime. So how how is that a real champion? Dominick Cruz fight was stopped too early. Way Too early dominic was coming back to his feet, Dude, he was intelligently defend himself and coming back up like if he's stuck on the ground and fetal position are on knees enhance then I could justify stopping the fight. But how do you stop fight when guys coming back up to his fight and he still wants to fight. Yeah I could see both ways I mean. He was quick was there was only ten seconds left in. The round could give them that one recover. So and Dude Adam come on Bro like we signed up for this. This is what we signed up to to go out on our sword. If you look at gauging, what if they would've stopped the fighting the second and he never gets to go on and win the fight. Come on, dude, dude, if you a high level athletes like me, Dom Kaiser won world titles that are fighting these high level world title fights. Put us to sleep. That's what that's what we want. That's where we asked for to go out on our Sword Sword. If you take that away from us, you're robbing of a of a fair fight is you don't know what's going to happen after that. You think should be stripped or now for not fighting, because he says he can't how. How long was last night? Though was, it.

The I hear you because right now we're. We're waiting right. You're waiting to get the call for either Woodley or Who Do you even four journeyman George? Who Do you think's the heart out of those three? I think they're all easy fights to be honest. You know you saw me at twenty percent. My last fight receives men. I didn't get to thirty percent like him. He got lucky to make thirty percent of you had food poisoning the night before the fight. To Nice before the fight the night before way in the last meal that I got from the US CPI little asked. Hey, this is this is straight up knowledge. You can go. Ask the guys who work at. This Guy Charles Clint. They had to come over to my room at the trump hotel. Because the trump's hooked me up, they rolled out the red carpet for me man. They gave me first class treatment. Just like they treat America First Class, but I'm puking all up in my room the Clinton Charlie had come over to my room. Give me these rehydration kit and all in sit with me. "Don't think it was the first performance van. It was one of the best fights I've ever seen and you were killed it the only thing that I thought that. Maybe you could use your wrestling more. You know had you had you up going into the fifth to be honest? Yeah. You're right, you know. And the judge just had me up three to one go to the fifth and win the fifth round, and I slipped on a banana peel and hit the ground, but you know what we were fighters. This isn't volleyball we play. We don't play for points. We played for consciousness, and I signed up to either remove guys, consciousness, or get my consciousness removed. That didn't happen. They cheated me out of a fair fight. I was still in the fight I was. was on double-leg. Adam. Looking I was defending the back of my head, and still clear the in the fight I popped right up after he stopped. What are you doing, mark? How do you not let that go to the judges scorecards? There's thirty seconds left in a championship. Twenty five minute world title fight I mean Mark Not, so the best thing about this corona virus pandemic is Mark Nassir Garda's little bitch. Ass Stuck in England and he can't fuck over any other fighters UFC rate. Yeah I mean well look now. How are you able to practice? Know American top has got some amazing guys. Are you able to get the practicing? They need right now. Dude, I'm getting better practices more one on one individualized practices You know we're still working extremely hard and every little weakness area that I ever have before is being turned into strengths and I'm getting better every day. You haven't seen my peak. Get you know you. You've seen me on the way up, but I haven't hit my full potential yet and I'm still my prime thirty two years young. You have the you have his last night. Where the best of me yet, the best is yet to come out of so you're you're. You're you're pressure? Which is like insane? How are you able to keep the now? Like, I said before you know I got my steady rotation of ladies. That I can work the cardio in the bedroom with I. Mean there is a reason. They called me Porn Star, Cardio and Cardio King. Know and we're just putting a lot of. In the bedroom and I'm trying to tell people that you know your stuff. Pandemic stops me and the gym's closed or don't use that. Excuse to not get better you. There's ways to get bedroom in up your cardio in the bedrooms I mean you have a wife? I'm sure you weren't working on a daily. I mean other people. They have girlfriends. You know I know I know Marty fake newsman. Ain't nobody trying to sleep with that. Do that was hairline. He lost that ten years ago because he did so much steroids. Yeah well, I mean yeah..

"For. A long time I mean if. If ever. Get that again. I think those are more exceptions that prove the rule than not yeah I. I I hear you. Now Dana White threatened the two. Strips, keeping meal expelled, if meal doesn't fight for the doesn't defend his belt. He's saying look I'm a first responder I'm a fireman. Gyms are closed, the not allowed to open the gym I state. My coach doesn't isn't around like a soon as they say, I can train again alternate. I kinda got a was deeply on this right without question. Yeah, he's a position where you can train properly to prepare for fight and being a first responder. He's still working and that they still need him on a daily basis. Especially during this crisis so I mean I. Mean We all know that? When you call nine one one in US Rene Violence, the first thing they said for some reason, there's the firetruck. or or the ambulance, so you know he's in years kind of in a in a in a fixed position, but in your but it, but if but if you're Dana, do you say well listen you know. You're the UFC champion of the world. It was your choice. Do a second job, and this job is the one where I care about I think it'd be true if he could trae if the gyms were opened, had access to his trading partners and his coaches and stuff then yes, he's choosing one over the other, and that's that's. Totally different, but but you can't trade. I would also say that fighters probably vary in the amount they rely on coach is one of the other, and if he's one of those guys that absolutely does not feel comfortable without having this coach to right there in person throughout the entire situation, then then, yeah, then he's setting himself up for a loss and unnecessary loss, and you're also training as the CORMET WHO's. Two time, Olympian, or the best of all time. It's not like he's training for. Any of US three I mean he's training that he has to fight the best guy in the fucking world one of them. Of course you're going to the gym to be open you right so i. i I hear you. See looked like he'd been putting on his his quarantine fifteen to though haven't we all dude? We all have absolutely, but it was nice to see. It also happened Hrubesch athlete I think I think St Pacers relinquished his title for now let. His last fight against Francis. Seagoing bracket for sure fighting from the belt one last time or whatever it is, you know that he earned his title. He went out and got knocked out by. Came back. Beat them, I mean come on. What are we doing? What did you say that? Because I know DC IS NOT GONNA go out on his last fight for an interim title. You know I don't think he wants to do that. He wants to go on DC. So far from being and fight condition right now now we always is. That's how he looks. Bro. That's not..
