"And it's been a huge week for this topic. Yes, covergirl has announced they are now the largest makeup brand to be leaping bunny, certified by cruelty, free international. This is major are pretty soon you're gonna see all of those little bunny logos on all of their jars in drugstores. So they're going to be phasing out old products and bringing in new products that you need this standard. Yeah. It'll happen overtime. But what it actually means as that covergirl? Not only will they not test on animals, but they will be auditing all of their suppliers in their supply chain to make sure that they are not testing on animals. So this is quite the undertaking. And I really think you needed a big powerful brand like covergirl to take the stance. It's one thing for indie brands demand it, but these suppliers have. Be scared straight. And because if cover girls coming to them and saying either you comply or you're gonna lose our business. Yeah. It is a massive business decision at that point covergirl. I think they have a billion dollars in retail sales annually. So they are not playing and they have gotten everybody in line at this. And all I have to say as like your move every other drugstore brand. Thank you next lake. It's just completely setting a new standard, Cody whose apparent company of covergirl has said that this is a first stop in the partnership with cruelty free international, apparently, we can expect to see another brand under their umbrella who will be cruelty free by twenty twenty and they own companies like Clairol Ramal borsch wa and a ton of designer fragrances. Yeah. So that's very exciting. And I just think it's kind of to me like a watershed moment in the beauty biz. Not unlike what we saw with Fendi where they just set a standard, it's forty shades. Now, everybody get in line. And then sure enough if he didn't come out with forty shades, the you're sort of seen as lagging behind I think this has created a new standard, and you're going to see everybody following suit. I really hope so and kudos to cover girl because frankly, this is part of their whole rebranding that started a couple of years ago. You know, they've changed their tagline. It's no longer, easy, breezy, beautiful covergirl. Now, it's am what I make up. So it's so much more. Progressive speaks to today's millennials and jen's e they also quickly came out with forty shades after frontier they were right on it. They have way more inclusivity and their campaigns now. So I think this is just part of the whole direction that they're going. They were definitely at risk of just becoming a relevant. Yeah. And they really turned it around. Yeah. Shaken shit up in other news just want to touch on the fact that glossy they opened their new showroom in New York City. They've had I think more than five hundred thousand. And people have come through the doors glossy since they opened that showroom in two thousand fourteen. So they've created a more dedicated space. It looks like zen bathroom, and you know, sinks to wash your hands in your face. And it's just like this whole creating a deeper connection IRL with glossy customers. So yeah, it's almost like a tourist destination. Now when you go if you're a beauty lover fashion liver, you go to New York you go to the glossy showroom. Absolutely. It's multi levels. It's on Lafayette, and of new mentioned that they have some of their archives are sort of framed. And also it's almost going to be a bit of a glossy museum. Yeah. And other grand opening that super exciting will be happening in early twenty nineteen so dry bar founder Alli Webb has announced a whole new enterprise called squeeze. So she's taking the same idea with dry bar, which was just all about saving women time and money have great looking hair, and you're out the door. So the same thing for massages. They start at thirty nine dollars. For a twenty minute massage. And they go all the way up to like fifty and eighty minute massages that the price points, go up one twenty one hundred thirty dollars somewhere in that range you everything on the app, it's a cash free experience..

"Similar look and a lot of them have been four fitting makeup to they don't want to cover up their skin and so it's i think it's great it's it's creating it's creating awareness it's taking a stigma away people are understanding that you know it's i i think of their understanding what the condition is so i i applaud covergirl i know they're trying to redefine what beauty is and revlon is trying to do it as well with ashley graham is there one of their new spokes model so i think companies are just realising women need to see something in themselves you know to identify with brand we can't just look at five eleven and size zero girls that do not realise with both men and women that we need to look at the is there that we have this whole thing about what is considered typical or average but is there to sort of get back to what are we talking about the last halfhour is there any such thing is like group think people say well this is the way the average person look this is the way we are we accept this look or at the editor's and doesn't look that way engineers now that we say well ashley graham was just hired by covergirl to show that all different types of women can be beautiful ashley grams hot ashley graham as a model and she's hot but we classify her differently and until i think we stop doing that even cover girl who is attempting to make themselves look allinclusive is still using this as a way to say look at us we hired someone who's different now that just by its own definition is i think you're right i i agree with you jannine i know that they're obviously their glomming onto these types of trans but at the same time isn't it worse if they just if they don't ever allows women lay no i i applaud them.
