"It wasn't. Well, we've got some concerns, but we didn't want to trade our first round pick this year because we don't have many picks in 2023 and 2024, and at some point we do have to think about the future. If that factored at all into their thinking that I'd be very, very, if I'm an avalanche fan, I'd be very upset with this front office if that was their thinking. Because who cares about a first round draft pick that, by the way, has about Matt Smith Smith said it was like players drafted at that spot or later have a 2.4% chance of even playing in the NHL. Planned. Playing. Yeah. Below not getting up in getting up to the NHL level, a 2.4% chance. Right. And unless you're drafting, now if you draft somebody, if you're drafting in the top 5, you drafted Nathan cannon a Gabe land to skagg, a kale macar. Yeah, these are guys who, if they're 17, 18, 19 years old, they're ready to go. But typically you draft your 1718 19 year old where the ads will be picking, that's a player that really has probably about a solid three to four years before he's going to be ready for the NHL. And at that point, your window might be closed. So if you're drafting in the top 5, you're drafting a Gabe Landis car. If you're trapped in 29 overall, you're drafting a skull. Correct. My God, you just summed it up for him. Man, you know, thank God you're here to just, yeah. There it is, ladies and gentlemen, the great Mark schleyer. Boil it down to give you brownside this. Nobody else knows. Next on Denver sports dot com, we have franchise tag deadline day. And Andrew mason write about how the Broncos face a decision when it comes to draymond Jones. This one mystifies me Mark, you're talking about somebody who is an organizational win. Drafted by the organization, third round pick, drafted, developed, in your words, your opinion, somebody who's set to become a superstar in George Payton's opinion, maybe the star and maybe not a super star but a star. Star. You've talked to George Payton, he believes that draymond Jones has huge talent. Market for draymond Jones is about 20 million per year. The franchise tag for his position is about 20 million. Sean Payton has told you he likes building teams from the inside out, strong along both lines. Come on man, this seems like a no brainer. And you know what, okay, draymond Jones might not be happy with the Broncos. As he expressed it during the season you know what, plenty of guys who aren't happy have signed franchise tags with the understanding. I got no place else to go. And if I want to get paid in the future, I still got to play. I got to perform. Yeah. So the notion that if you put the franchise tag on him, he's just going to pout and sit out and then even if he does sign, he's going to go through the motions, half ass. That's just not going to happen. Right. All you have to do is look. So put the tag on. Simmons. Right? You want to spend $20 million on a one year deal. That's what you don't want. And is he at a place in his life where he's just like, I'm just taking my 20 million and I'll be done with you guys. So, probably should have gotten him done early. Like they did with Tim Patrick and cortland. And by the way, the rumor yesterday was that court and sons on the block. It's spicy. What do you think you get for courtland son? Courtland Sutton hasn't been the same player since he probably, as you correctly pointed out during the seasons better off suited as a slot guy now. Just a big body blocking, you know, run on the underneath route stuff. Unless you think you're seeing on the next Larry Fitzgerald, who made that kind of transition from outside receiver to inside and was dominant as a slot receiver. If you can get. Oh, you got a fourth rounder for him. Go for it. Yeah, I think they also proved one thing. That when they moved, when they moved, what's his head? How come I can't remember his name off, top of my head? You have a receiver. Moved him. Yeah, moved him to the X receiver. Oh, Judy. Good, yeah, Jerry Judy. How could you forget Jerry Judy? I know he's like he's the best player on the roster. Get himself a YouTube channel now. Does he? What does he do on that? I don't know. What are you doing your YouTube channel? I put our stinking truth podcast on. It's good. It's really good. What does Judy do on his YouTube? I don't know. It's not a must follow for me. Videos of himself working out. What is he doing? Aho, your point. Oh, my point was that when they moved him over to the X receiver, Jerry Judy thrived. So you're looking at an all right, well, that's the direction we're going to go. Sean Payton is a much more, he uses personnel much better. He's much more too wide, you know, multiple tight ends or multiple backs. He's much better with the personnel. So the three wide sets that we saw so that we grow them so accustomed to here that haven't worked for four years. I don't think you'll see as much of that. As you have in the past, you'll get Tim Patrick back who I think is one of the best football players on your team. Yeah, I think that I think that the court of a sudden move just makes sense. But do you think they do better than a fourth round pick? No. No, no. Yeah, I gotta get a third rounder for him. No way. Okay. Fourth rounder, I'd do it. Absolutely. Will Peterson, it Denver sports dot com, scrap you up, writing, should the Broncos be interested in trying to trade for Derek Henry, who apparently is on the market, so the idea being and will make a good argument here is instead of going out and signing a free agent running back, which would come with a lot of money, a lot of guaranteed money, salary cap hits for the next few years, Derek Henry's due to make ten and a half $1 million next season.

"I believe Jack's links is the brand. Yeah, so that guy and so that's sort of what you got going on there. And I feel like he's the kind of coach that you kind of read through the lines a little bit and just be like, come on guys. We did all we could. And I know that there is the Sunday splash report that Joe Douglas will not be shopping Zach Wilson around the soft season. I think that to me feels like a good deal of legalese, right? It's like, I'm not shopping, but then somebody came and asked, you know, it's one of those things where I can't imagine a scenario where they can have him on the roster with any confidence next year. Yeah. And I'll make three points. Number one, I look, I hope they're in on Derek Carr. I would prefer Derek Carr to Jim Garoppolo, I think Garoppolo is a fine plan B but man, I think Derek Carr, a top 15 quarterback in the league and you get him the right system, maybe you have a top ten quarterback. I got a little bit nervous. This is my second one. I got a little bit nervous when they kept showing Chris reveler on the sideline in this game because no offense to him. And I think it would be interesting to run him out there for a series or two in maybe the first half of the third quarter. But the thing that was driving me nuts with the Zach Wilson fetching last week is it's like, oh yeah, we're down two possessions. Late in the third quarter, what we're going to do is roll out the guy that is going to lead us on a couple of 15 play 9 minute drives to try and close the gap here. It just reads the point where it's like, no, you got to throw them all. The ball has got to be thrown down field. You got to try and pick up some chunk plays and if you throw in complete, the clock stops and that's your consolation. You can't run like a ball control thing. And all the read options up at that point. And I do want to make the point, Conor, that sasquatch has a brand outside of just beef jerky commercials. He's still the sasquatch. Yeah, but where has he been, you know? Either reveal yourself or continue to reveal yourself to the larger public or continue to be marginalized in commercials. That's my take. Like, come on out. I know you're out there. He's lost control a little bit, is what you're saying. Yeah, I mean, you know, come out like run for public office. Release a book of poetry. You know, do something where we can get to know you outside of the just general societal idea of sasquatch. Outside of beef jerky and a very good tenacious D's. He might not even like beef jerky, you know what I'm saying? No. It feels like your stereotype a little bit at that point. He just sees he's eating the dried carcasses of his prey. Yeah, and he might be vegetarian for all we know. Yeah. Eliminate the stress of high interest credit card debt and take control of your financial future. Game management specialist. I mean, we know how highly they thought of him in that Broncos front office to bring him in. And he look, he pressed the let's recover a muff punt button to get back into this game. That's something that the Broncos just hadn't considered earlier in the season. They should get more flip the field 60 yard turnovers and that would have worked out better. But yeah, they hung around and there was still no real answers for the quarterback. Courtland Sutton was really good in this game though. And we haven't seen really good courtland Sutton in a while. I think yes, in part because the quarterback, but also because of some injury stuff that's gone on this year. He was really competitive and very good sort of making plays and also he just blasted luxurious snead at the end of an interception return at one point that I think probably felt really good for him. I'm sure it did. I have one quick Bronco's point to make, which I'm just, you know, I don't want to sound, I'm done. My bell has been rung on this situation. Everybody knows where I stand on it and where I've stood on it for the majority of the year. But everyone's saying, oh, Jerry Judy, and all the receivers are coming out now and saying that they support them. Yeah, after the other guy's gone. Like, you know, if I spent the whole season, the whole season on the podcast, texting Shelby, producer Shelby, being like, God, Gary's so annoying, Gary so annoying, Gary so annoying. And then they got rid of whoever else the other person is that controls the checks and the balances and be like, I'd be like, oh, you know what I always thought about Gary, great, great pun, great guy. Shelby and I don't have a private text, they're Gary. That's not happening. I really enjoy I really enjoy your company. But this is a, this is a convenience move. And we all do it. I've done it, but like, come on, you know, do we really think like all his hunky Dory here now? Yeah. No, like, look, I don't know exactly what the situation is in the locker room. Obviously, we have seen a lot of on field reaction, specifically from Jerry Judy and KJ amler at the stomping up and down, like throw me the ball. Are they like, yeah, man, this is the guy that's gonna get us right. I don't think so? Yeah, I find that very unlikely. I don't think they would ever have Russell Wilson's face up on a dart board in their apartment, or whatever it might be, but they're probably not thrilled at the developments of the past, whatever. Past 9 months an hour. I was going to say it's a lot, but he also ran for two touchdowns, which again is something that he did not do a great deal of. And so yeah, if you get Russell Wilson, leave in the pocket. If you get a couple picks, you know, you'll lose by three points instead of 40. Okay, great. Yeah. And you just kind of wonder is someone has someone had that conversation with him? Or will some now that conversation with them where you just be like, yeah, the way you insisted on playing for the first part of the year, it's not gonna work. Like we have to pay you, but we don't necessarily have to play you at this point. Because he was unplayable for most

"But is of a different generation and a different ilk. This guy just is like Pete Carroll and youthful energy exuberance, all this stuff. In comes Ross, Russ has been unbelievable this summer, as far as getting with the young guys, setting the example early in last one out, the whole thing. And I think that market Denver is a football town. And they have been devoid of football since 2016 when Payton left. They are a fine NBA and they won the Stanley Cup and you can talk about the rockies, but like when the Broncos are working, that is a football town. And I feel like they're ready. It is a, it is a boiling pot right now and Russ is going to get them there. I feel really confident that Russell not only is going to have the Broncos playing relevant football. I think he's going to be in the MVP conversation. I'm that high on them. See, this is why this is a great plant, the flag topic. So I see that world. If you're telling me all of a sudden Russ from 5 years ago is back, I'm there, but then my question is, what happened on the last two years? Why didn't he play that way? So the way you're saying he's going to play in Denver, he's just chose not to play that way and see him. He had really good weapons in Seattle, but he did. And last year, he basically picked the offensive coordinator. He said he wanted Shane waldron. I get all that stuff. I think they come here and it's just fresh blood. It's new and I feel like that is exactly what everyone needed in that situation, including the Seattle side. I feel like that thing had been done and it wasn't just Russell. Bobby Wagner is no longer there. KJ writes no longer there. They're turning the page in Seattle. And I think they were in this weird transition phase. Denver's been building for four years and has been adding guys like Satan last year. And like courtland Sutton and you can name all the running backs you want. And I think they're offensive line is solid. I think Denver has a really good roster and was a quarterback away and they got one of the top quarterbacks in the league. This off season. So I feel good. I feel like he comes right out of the gates and it's like, oh shit, the Broncos are back. They're relevant. All right, so that was my next point the flag. If you had to pick a vision with three playoff teams. Who are you taking? I think AFC west. I think they're the best by far right now. And I might say they could do all four with the new format with 7 teams. You can get a division winner in three wild cards. We can go through all the teams in that division, but I think Denver's legit, I think Casey is legit and I think the Chargers and raiders both can win 9 games, even with the division opponents. I think that division is that loaded. I would go with that division. So the other candidate is the AFC north. Which leads me to the next point the flag. Okay. I'm more in on sensei this year than last year. And by the way, I wasn't only because they cost you were there for a $1 million picks. We were up 21 to three. We had a thousand Tennessee. 9 sex murdered us until the Super Bowl. We were finally able to get it back. But I think there's always that, you lose the Super Bowl, you go backwards, like that's a recurring thing. I actually don't feel that way since then. I think they're loaded. Borough will be two years after the knee surgery. I'm just all in on this team. I think that experience is valuable for them. People say like buffalo has the best top to bottom roster in the league and man, you go, go look at the 12 best players on every roster. Since he's top 12, is better than buffalo's top 12. You could argue buffaloes deeper. I'm just standing on Cindy. So I guess the question would be then, well, we'll start with Cynthia, but the question for me if you get three teams out of that division, then you have to talk yourself into Pittsburgh which we'll do later. But are you in or out on since? I mean, on Cincinnati. And we talked about it on good morning football this morning too. Now, can they handle being the hunted? Because last year their schedule was cake this year, it's going to be a lot harder. The Super Bowl champion. AFC champion. And last year, Joe burrow was still coming off an ACL that first half of the season, and they clicked in the second half. I got a text from somebody who's been at the joint practices. Neither on either coaching staff, but someone neutral at the rams Bengals joint practice this week. And they're like, Jamar chase. Is absolutely amazing. And what he did

"This would get really, really cool. Just flat out in terms of what this past game looks like. And Derek Carr, the sort of mind, the sort of veteran who can handle all of that ass. Like, again, aspect is a concern. There's going to be an onboarding process, but I would not be surprised if by the middle of the season. This is just appointment viewing passing game in Las Vegas. Well, Derek Carr, you know, he could fucking chuck it. He really can. He's got he throws some nice people. He was pushing the ball deep downfield even after they lost Henry ruggs. This guy is not the dude who came into the league. He's got steadily better even into his 30s. It's really, really exciting to think about. Well, I was thinking about the AFC west, I'm not going to do the thing where it's like, this is the greatest fantasy football division ever. Because I don't know. I haven't gone through the last 40 years. But I will say this is the best fantasy football vision we've had in a couple of years. Where you got just think about it. Mahomes, Kelsey and hill. You have Herbert Allen Eckler Mike Williams. You got Russell Wilson, javonte Judy, Jerry Judy, and courtland Sutton. And then you have car Adams ren for a while or and Jacobs. And they're all in one division, and they're all going to be playing the late games for the most part. And they're all going to be playing each other. And one of the big winners of this trade is CBS. CBS, they're going to have awesome games. These teams are going to play each other, you know, 6 times. And every game will be fun and I don't know who the best offense is going to be out of those four teams. I went through the division and tried to figure out like, if you were to just make an all pro team from the division, what would it look like? And on offense, you have mahomes, Eckler, Devante Adams tyreek hill, Darren Waller, and Travis Kelce, is unbelievable. The line is really good. Rashawn slater, Joe tuni, right, Colin Miller, creed Humphrey, on defense. It's impossible to pick the path Rogers. You have Joey about that. Khalil Mack, who's with the Chargers now, Chandler Joe, because he's with the Raiders now. You have max Crosby as well. You've Chris Jones on the interior, right? JP Jackson and Patrick Sutton durin James Dustin Simmons, all the backend, but you could argue that a all protein from the AFC west alone could hang with and maybe be an all pro team from the other 7.

"I've seen a lot of analysts come down very hard on the Seattle Seahawks. Look, bottom line, if you're asking who won the trade outright as of this moment, you have to go with the Denver Broncos. I mean, they got Russell Wilson in there without having to mortgage the future of the franchise in terms of players on the field to do it. This is a win win for Denver. So it's a very good move for them. But I think in subsequent years, you're going to start to see that maybe the move that the Seattle Seahawks made wasn't terrible. It might not have been the worst return on investment that they could have gotten for Russell. So in a lot of ways, you know, Seattle was back to the drawing board now. I think it's going to be interesting to see how they move forward in 2022. Is this going to be a flat out rebuilding year? Do they try to rebuild on the fly and maybe backfill some of these positions? It would be interesting to see how they approach the quarterback position. Is drew not going to be the answer in 2022, or do they have something else in mind? A lot of people are thinking that it might be the latter as opposed to the former. So keep a sharp IP on that one. But when you look at what Russell Wilson does to this Denver Broncos team, it automatically makes them a contender. You pair him now with a runner like Melbourne Gordon who has the ability to hit the holes. He's got the experience and the ability to be able to pace that running game, but also what it does for the passing game and guys like Jerry Judy and Tim Patrick and Albert okwe non can now is going to take on that lead tight end role. This is a big moment for the Denver Broncos offense and it opens things up in a way that this team hasn't seen in quite some time. Yeah, I mean, you look at a player like Portland Sutton and what Russ did for Tyler Lockett he can do for a player like courtland Sutton. Obviously new head coach there Nathaniel Hackett. He is he comes from, you know, Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay. We had reasons to believe maybe Aaron Rodgers would end up there. Yeah. His big announcement really sort of crashed and burned after Russell Wilson stole his thunder, can't say I hated to watch it. But Nathaniel Hackett and what they do in Green Bay is a little bit different from what Ross is, you know, Russ likes to play the way Russ likes to play. And so it'll be interesting to see how they mesh because if they're able to, if they're able to blend what they do well, and if rust can still use some of his mobility, we know that he is somebody who really takes care of his body a la Tom Brady. If there's anybody in the league that does as much to try to take care of themselves as Tom Brady did, it is Russell Wilson..

"And then whatever happens happens. Let's just, let's just roll the dice. That'd be pretty sweet, right? Like 1.5. 1.5 like that. I like it except I don't like the logical part of that. I would say I will come there as long as I get uniform number three. And I'll play for veteran minimum. Just see if they'll do it. Or like 7, you want like John, like I want to unretire. Is John Elway's number retired? I'm sure it is. It must be. I can't remember another guy wearing 7 though. He must be just anyone have to follow through with it. Just see if they do it. Yeah, yeah, I mean, you just do ridiculous shit. But yeah, I mean, I could see that in again, this would really bum me out because I wrote that the era of the super team was dead. But let's say all of a sudden like rob good and Krause gear. Your boy Rob Gronkowski or any of these guys starts to be like, oh, this would be cool, but what's interesting about the Broncos is that I think they were pretty enamored with their receiving core when they had bad quarterbacks. And so I think this is going to be a moment where we're not only going to see what Jerry Judy is capable of, but courtland Sutton who they've been high on for such a long time and like, you know, just because the production isn't there, you know, it's something that we can't see, but I think it's extremely, you know, guy who probably is extremely valuable Tim Patrick. I mean, these guys are, you know, they got signed to extensions. They believe that they're really good. And if they can maximize if Russell Wilson makes them nearly as good as Denver's internal perception of them, then I think we've really got something here. Almost to the point where you don't need a ton of outside help from the, from the vanity from the vanity veteran superstar hunting world. You know, I really don't think, you know, an additional pass rusher would be nice. Every team needs that. We know that. Some help in their defensive interior, I think, especially given the way that division is going to shake out. But I don't think this roster needs a whole lot of help, even though they were probably now get it because players are going to want to go there. Yeah, I think you'd probably be looking at edge rush help. You could use another linebacker there. I mean, if you're going to play another cornerback, absolutely. Absolutely. So the other thing is to get the best out of Russell Wilson, you kind of want to rebuild what they had, yes, you want the legion of boom, but offensively what they had in the mid 2010s, which was sort of a Marshawn Lynch centric type of offense and then using some of the play action deep stuff off of that. Javonte Williams, I'm not going to say javonte Williams is Marshawn Lynch, but do you want to Williams is really good. And that offensive line is pretty good. And they have a chance to really be a team that can, I mean, they can kind of do what they want offensively if this whole thing clicks together here. I mean, that was the comp coming. I mean, you know, that was the, you know, whatever the NFL dot com scouting report, let's get clicks on this by comparing them to someone famous comp, but yeah, it was Marshawn Lynch, and I think a lot of people talked about that..

"And the interception didn't count the guy was out of balance, but case through a terrible default on the left sideline rolling out trying to late, not enough air under clearly case Keenum has a limited arm and is not a guy you should build your franchise around. But he does do some good stuff and I like seeing that. Now, brown's running back deer Ernest Johnson. Had a big night Kareem hunt and Nick Chubb, the two running backs in Cleveland were both hurt. So their backup running back, I guess their backup backup running back had to buy dearness Johnson. He had 22 carries for a 146 yards and a touchdown, he wasn't alliance of American football player. Like he had to DM every AAF team to try to get on their roster to get himself an opportunity. By the way, that's a crazy story. If you never ask, the answer is always no. And I reach out to some recently for saying, hey, I have an idea. I think we could work together and. If you ain't never asked answers always know, and so I really like that dearness story is a story of the guy who made sure he's like, I'm gonna leave everything on the table. Make sure I try everything. No stone unturned, try to make my opportunity. And when he got an opportunity here on Thursday football, he made me the most of it. He's an undrafted third year player out of South Florida, who, man, dear Ernest Johnson running for a 146 yards on Thursday, but what that does really is further makes my point that you should never draft a running back in the top ten. It's archaic thinking. It puts to shame so much Dave gettleman the general manager in New York where it's like, man, this guy, he's just behind the times when he drafted SQL Barkley in 2018. And it's crazy to get Denver by the way loss to a bunch of browns backups like Denver. Denver is a story. You're like Denver, Cleveland good for them. They survived a bad situation. They got it with a win, great for them, but Denver is a sad story here of a team that just like refuses to win football games. What are you doing? I can't understand and it's that courtland Sutton by the way had a great catch on the right sideline. I want to give a shout out to him. I always try to share a fine on courtland Sutton. The talent is there in Denver. Like they just need a quarterback and I think they need a better head coach and how crazy.

"Good. Yeah, I've got to give back, uh, Teddy's performance of beat up today, and it's just a shame that gambler couldn't come down with that deep balls. For this, and I was just impressed overall, um with performance, the long goals and parts of short stuff. All the people that you know we're through lock and his long ball. I thought, you know, Jedi put it right in there Now. He did, Steve, I'm with you on that. Thanks for the call that past two KJ Hamler was was definitely catchable. Was it a perfect pass? No. And he had the past. No fan down the right sideline that was under thrown to But again, That's the story gonna happen. You know, there was an underrated moment and we're gonna talk to Tim Jenkins tomorrow with Tim Jenkins on Mondays on Broncos Country tonight. There was a pass to Courtland Sutton, that was was a slant. A threat low And that's not an arm strength thing. I think that was an appropriate placement. I think he was putting in a place where Cortland sudden could shield his body. And maybe make a play on the ball, because if you would put it up, I think Courtland Sutton was going to get rocked. Teddy Bridgewater does a pretty good job with that anticipation. That's that's the thing that he does. I'd say extremely better than drew lock. Not a dig on Drew lock. It's just Drew luck has this Athletic arrogance that we often say or he believes he can throw the ball whenever he wants to. And because of that arm strength will throw the ball late. Sometimes. He gets there. But not necessarily with the anticipation that can always set your receiver up with the best possible salute as possible. Opportunity. Teddy Bridgewater, though meanwhile It doesn't really great job with anticipation, but they're on that past the deep 12 KJ hamler. That's probably one where you would want to put that out in front of him just a little bit. And let him run underneath it. And get the touchdown. Kid. You hammer had the steps he he was. They were off. You knew the Steelers defense was really good. I thought it was a questionable decision to Make Zack Moss healthy scratch. I think he's their best running back. But they kind of went out as a you know, Josh Allen is the best running back kind of deal. And that could be effective. Josh Allen is the best player. I think Zack Boss has a lot more to off Russell. Surprised by that move today, to be honest. But they just really had a tough time getting on track, didn't they? The bills? Josh Allen 30 of 51 for 2 70. That's not the numbers were used to seeing Stefan Diggs. Nine catches for 69 Yards is that's well under what he should be doing, but you really couldn't get the run game going now, interestingly enough, but I didn't see this until now. Devin Singletary 11 carries for 72 yards 6.5 per carry. In the 25 yard or in there that helped that But there's something to be said about least those two guys. Josh Allen, Devin Singletary kind of holding up there into the bargain on the running game. Just they just seemed out of sorts. Wasn't wasn't one of those games. Josh Allen had a couple of fumbles, including one lost. Singletary at a couple fumbles. Didn't lose them, but Certainly not not good. So that's something that that the bills are going to build on. And you thought Because they were at home. They were taking a Pittsburgh Steelers game. I I don't I don't think that Roethlisberger has all that much left. I don't know. Maybe you guys see something else. They couldn't really get Nagy Harris Kony has 16 carries for 45 yards. Not good enough. Only one catch for four yards. That was supposed to be the change. We're supposed to see Pittsburgh reestablished the run. They're going to have some better matchups down the world. But then Roethlisberger checked the stat line out. 18 for 32 for 1 88. Yeah. That bubble is a good defense. But that is hardly What we come to expect from the Pittsburgh Steelers as an offensive unit. They skated by on the skin of their teeth today and in part because Josh Allen had an off day. That's not gonna happen very often. 33713 85 85 56690 is R K away Sin Tour health text line. "What about Courtland Sutton? Yeah, I think Sutton is more likely to get the extension sooner. Um, that said, I don't think they're going to be anybody before the season. I think you're probably talking about 234 weeks into the season, especially because Sutton's coming back off an injury and you want to see how he responds coming back off that injury If he's the same player used to be, um, you know, with with Teddy Bridgewater. I mean, you know, they avoided the last year his deal. They took that away when they brought him in so Yeah, I don't know that We're going to necessarily see anything sooner than later from him. I think that's one that you can. You can probably wait on a little bit the court and suddenly you're going to have to get done the fifth year option on job going to have to look forward to that. You've got some things down like you gotta figure out with Callahan and Fuller, both of whom are on one year deals. I think at this point you got to figure out if you keep one of those two at the corner position and maybe get them an extension as well. I can almost hear that. Both of you guys voices. You don't believe in Teddy. I can hear I can. I can hear them both of your voices. You don't believe in Teddy yet when it happens. And the extension is offered is going to cost more money. Well, it's very possible that's very, very possible. Yes, And I hope teddy balls out of control for the Denver Broncos. Because it's you. You say that with the smirk on your face, I just look because because what I what I want and what I believe maybe two different things. I'm just throwing it out. Hey, Ben. One final thing. Maybe the most important thing. We're going to get out of this conversation so far if Alfred starts a 12 team fantasy league are you in Um, is it Is there money involved? 20 bucks. "You know, it's going to be the day after 20 and avert 20th anniversary for 9 11 and we're playing in New York, so they they have great fans, and I know it's gonna be a crazy atmosphere, and I'm just excited to go there and put his last couple of questions. We're talking to Von Miller, who will be in action on Sunday as the Broncos traveled to New Jersey to face the Giants. You mentioned something that that I that I think is interesting, You said. It's a totally different vibe. It's a totally different mindset this year for people listening to the show that obviously Are not a training camp, and maybe they've never played football. Whatever. What? What exactly makes that different from your perspective? You know, I think the leader that we have you know, we're just Doesn't seem as Courtland Sutton. You know myself, Korean Jackson. Cheating. And Brandon. We might as we've been here for a while. We are We know what to expect. We know the expectations out the Denver Broncos and you know the expectations from our from my foundation. You know we haven't We haven't met it it you know, we we've all been Princeton. We all kind of felt that. And I think you know that sense of urgency is lead down to the guys, you know, below us. And I'm teddy brings are different vibe in himself, Jerry Judy In a second, You called and said, You know, coming back off the injury and, you know, I think I think it just starts with guys like that. You know, Some of the things that we talked about in the locker room are totally different. You know, instead of, you know, um instagram and stuff that we're doing outside of the outside of the, um, the stadium. It's all football me in court, and we play golf. Often it is Even though we're playing conference, you know, even though I'm shaking bows, and I'm hooking them in our life, we're talking about winds we're talking about. How can we change this team and how can we change as well? How can we change this atmosphere? How can we get this organization back to the glory days and you know just about just about talking about it isn't isn't enough to do it. We bring it to the facility each and every day. You know, it's it's Armand said. It's all about winds. It's all about Taking place. It's all about individual success, because individual success leaves the team's success. That's what we're all about. We built a strong brotherhood here and, you know, I'm excited to go out there and show it. I'll let you go on this. Um and I'm not sure you can answer this. But you've You've been here a long time. You've been a great great player in this league over 100 sacks already. But do you ever stop and say how much longer do I want to do this? I mean, do you in your own mind have sort of a timetable with respect to your time in the NFL. Oh, you know, you know, I've seen guys coming crossing great. Come and go. You also, You know the market's I play with the Marcus Peyton Manning, Champ Bailey. All these guys and I'll play with the T and you played with these hands, Glory days and I played with detail on the backhand as well. And I'm just not do you. I'm just not. I'm just not content yet. You know, I still I still get nervous before games are still, you know, come in under still competing with the young guys. I still have like this. This fire you know, in this kind of it's kind of hard to explain. And especially, you know, not playing last year. You know, I can't See myself retiring next year or the year after that, and I really want to see my son. I really want my son to see me play. You know, it's it's you know, you know it's different from you guys go on YouTube and say, You know, this is my dad, but I wanted to be able to witness You know me playing, so that's another. You know, 5 to 7 years, And if you know, God says the same, you know, that's what I do. I'm gonna keep planning to my heart's continue. You know, I got a special opportunity to play here. In the National Football League for all these years, and I just want to take advantage of the opportunity for as long as that may be in for as long as God, it may allow. And, you know, I'm just going to keep coming into my key card works to keep rushing the passer. Come on, Get off the same. You know, God says different so I feel good. You know my heart still get my mind. Still good man. My body still In great shape. I haven't really had too many linking lingering issues. Told my A C L in 2013. I had an ankle injury last year. And I had a thumb my rookie season, But other than yet, well in that, let me knock on wood. I've been pretty good and I'm just going to keep on praying and keep on lifting. The past. Sounds good man were fired up and looking forward to this season. Stay healthy. Do your thing And thanks for spending some time with us bond. We really appreciate it. Thanks, guys. I appreciate you guys Regular. Yeah, that's von Miller or they got me pumped up in I will say this. I cannot remember. Um Him ever being that way. I really didn't have interviewed him a long time since he since he came here, um That that that I think spoke to his mindset and sort of how he's approaching the season. Now, listen, it's a long season and guys, you know it's a grind. I mean, you're making a lot of money, but it's still grind. But I I would think that interview would fire up every single Broncos fan. You know what? And being out All of last year, I I feel like maybe it changed his perspective a bit. On the game on his life and having a kid changes your I think a kid we all know that right? A kid does change your perspective. What do you say? He got a little little fake baby or play baby? What do you say before? Before that he had a fake baby. He got a little fake babies try to work on diapers. I did that with Chris Harris. We had a fake baby, but are fake baby could pee on you because it happens, especially when you have boys and Chris only had girls so that he's not coming out. It's just staying down. But when you have, boys, it goes right in your face. You guys don't have boys. Lucky We had girls. Yeah, I changed more than my fair share diapers. I didn't have. Well, I'm not gonna embarrass my daughter because she's old enough, and she lives here in Denver. I had to fight peed in my face, probably 10 times. You just pull off the diaper and they're not They go. They go all over you. It's over. Yeah, well, that was great. It's also hear him say. That this is the best roster they've had in a long time. And the difference in mindset and the man, right? Tell you what you said. We we We don't talk. We talk about football. Now. We used to talk about a lot of different things. I think maybe the way that you know, with Covid and everything in them not having their normal life. I think it changed a lot of people's mindset right of how they do things. I also think For again like Vaughan has been a great great player to miss the season last year and and to do it in the fashion. He did. He got hurt before before camp even started and he was in, you know, By all accounts, he was in great shape. Coming off a disappointing season that he misses another season, which was last year, So I think and again You know people I get asked the question a lot about Hey, What do you think Bradley, Chubb and von Miller can do with a return to form and played that much together. They're going to impact the game. A lot of what the defense does is dependent upon what the offense does. And if the offense can score some points, and if I mean they averaged 20 points a game last year, that's not going to cut it. They've got to be up over 24 points a game, which is a sizable leap in a single season, but they've They've got to find ways to get there. And if they can, if they can score points, and you actually occasionally put your opponent behind. In the late 3rd and 4th quarter. Well, then that's where Chub and Miller really come into play because they know the other team has to throw it. The other team knows they know they have to throw it. And so that's where you see big plays with your edge pass rushers when a team is ahead. And in teams last year against the Broncos were ahead a bunch they run the ball. It's three step drop short path. They take no chances of letting a guy like Miller or a guy like Chubb impact the game because in their mind, they're saying, we've got this game. The game is over. We're just trying to shorten the game. And if we have to punch we punch because the Broncos couldn't score points last year, so the offense of the Broncos I think will be very important in terms of what kind of impact chub in Miller in Malik in some of those guys have on opponents. You know what? He validated my thoughts, and I think yours as well about How this just feels a little different going into the start of the season, um more optimism than than usual. I think this has a pretty good chance to be a fun year for the Broncos and fans..

"That's that's kind of my gut based on and then see how he responds for Friday, right? Some conversations that were had today But tomorrow is gonna be the pivotal day for Bradley Chip. I think no offense going to play But you know Bradley Child is that's the one that's the gigantic question mark, and then I'll field stuff occurring at that's just one extra headache on top of it. Also, how does this impact the game? I mean, Because we know Von Miller is good. He's full participant. Good to go. The the offensive tackles for the Giants, Andrew Thomas and Nate Solder, actually playing right tackle. So we know what Malik read is we know Malik read is a serviceable Spot starter. He's a good player is a guy you need on your team. In the event of either rotation or an injury. But it's certainly not the Von Miller Bradley Chubb Show that we've all been anxiously anticipating this entire off season. Is it right hands? Von Miller will be up against solder and Matt Peart on the right side there. Um, if I don't know, Perch plan or not, but He was the the starter last year. Solder doesn't really have a lot. He's not the same player he used to be. And that's a mismatch in bonds favor on the other side, Andrew Thomas, That's where you need somebody who like a Bradley Chubb. I don't think Malik readers got enough power to be the guy to beat Andrew Thomas consistently. Andrew Thomas is not impressed Me. He didn't impress me coming out of the draft, and certainly last year in his first year, I thought he struggled, but You'd also save the entire offensive line struck their offensive line is bad. And they got Shane Lemieux. There is a serviceable left guard. Um, I would call him die Adult Horizon. Er will Hernandez Hernandez is okay at the right guard. Their centers is Nick Gates, and he's not very good in his backup is Billy Price, who was terrible. And in Cincinnati. Oh, that's right. They did get Billy Price right. And so you know, you've got an offensive line. That's just not that good. Overall, It's a bottom six or seven offensive line in the league, which is great news for the Broncos, who, maybe even without Bradley Chubb have basically the full complement of defensive line back. Expectations of Draymond to be up expectations with Mike Purcell, along with Shelby Harris back at the defensive line. Plus again, you know, McAlpin a game had I mean, depending on if he's a healthy scratch or not, but he had a really nice off season training camp. So I mean, I think there's some reasons to be excited about the matchups here. It just feels like a bit of a letdown, not having Bradley Chubb out there and again. I'm not saying that he's not. I'm just saying that he's not going to 100%. I think we know that for certain and there may be limitations on how much they'll actually use them in game. Based on the fact that we're still at this point now in game week on Wednesday, and he still can't get a full practice. Yeah, I'm wondering if we're gonna get to see a little bit of coop. I wonder if we're gonna get a little see. Let me go to Jonathan Cooper. Yeah. Um you know, I I He he put on a show in training camp, and I wonder if we're gonna get to see a little bit out of him. Platooning because I don't know Malik is more the other side. You know, Malik is better, Uh, when? When going up against the right tackle. That was where he made most of his living last year. And so I kind of think that they want to keep him over there. And so I I wanted to ask that question. I didn't really get a chance to today because with the practice, but I didn't go to the pressers which were before right up after like, they usually are. So I my my plan is to kind of slip that question in tomorrow. Certainly, and you're you're right. Tomorrow is going to be a pivotal day for for a lot of reasons, But specifically, those two players know a fan being out in the field and I need an argument. It was it was that you were off. But I made an argument that Alberto Cola Bernam might end up being the Broncos best. Tight end by the end of this season is a better blocker. He is he can be a complete receiver. The drops are something that we're gonna have to monitor. But no fan had drops to. We saw that even in training camp, so I made kind of the point of like, Hey, listen, If we're really having a conversation about this, I don't think it's outlandish. By the end of the year. We're saying that Alberto Cuevas I was actually the Broncos best tight end. It's possible. It's possible. Um, it's possible. I wouldn't say it probable, but it's possible. No if no fans really worked on quite a bit to get himself worried, super talented, he's just limited right now, and it's certainly an on field weapon like, Don't go. No Internet advantage, tight end sets to see Oh, get out there, and that's a question. I want to get into a little bit later on, because Jackson right, a guy Ted win, actually put in an article talking about the teams. I have the best. Uh, they went he went through. Hold on. Let me pull this up right now. He went through the best personnel groupings. And and how each team across the NFL Broncos showed up on this, By the way the best personnel groupings in the NFL. The Broncos showed up on this list. And I want to ask you a little bit later on specifically about that, Like what's the Broncos Best personnel grouping? I don't think it's an automatic 11 personnel even with Courtland Sutton, Jerry Judy, KJ Hamler and Tim Patrick. I don't know. If 11 is best suited for what this team wants to do, So I want to have that conversation with you a little later on, and I'll tell you where the Broncos showed up on this. Okay? Okay. So we'll get to that Ted Ted Wind crushes it over the athletic. This is a really good article, but We'll get into that a little bit later on like, so we're gonna hear from Teddy Bridgewater Broncos are tired of losing man. It's palpable. It comes up every single press conference. They're sick of being asked about it. They're sick of talking about these things to think about. I loved Melvin Gordon's answer today. About it. We We don't have enough time right now. But he talked about being tired of losing and tired of watching Patrick Mahomes lift up Championship trophies. We great answer. Yeah, it is. I got some stuff I want to get into in the next segment. Actually, we got George, okay. Real quick and I have had some conversations with some players over the last two days, some off the record private on background, you know, kind of stuff..

"Well, that's what everybody does in town that is involved in covering the Broncos and sports. But if they win, 96 You know, we'll sit back and probably kill the offense, Kilpatrick Shermer, But the reality is in this league. You're judged and how many games you win and how many games you lose period, especially going on the road. Going back to the East Coast. Win nine at six. Take the W any way you can get it. You only play 17 games. This will be my fifth year calling games with you, David. And as you know, I'm excited every year, but This is the most optimistic I felt sure going into a season. I think this is their best roster that they've had. They think so, too. They do. I feel like, um We're going to get the best quarterback play we've had since I've been calling games with you, which is going back. Two right after the Super Bowl year. Right after Peyton Manning left, and I think a lot of people feel that way. So, man, I'm pumped. I am ready, and they have three winnable games coming up. I don't know if you notice the line moved on this game The Broncos went up to like 2.5, right by 2.5. So they went from 1.5 to 2.5. So the people that, uh, set the line And the people that are throwing money down there throwing money on the Broncos. And I feel I feel like we're going to get a good showing Sunday in New York. Vic Fangio, by the way, sponsored by a mere star casino resource. PA Blackhawk, You earn my choice rewards every time you play in the casino or bet at the bar Stool Sports book. Or the new bar stool app. So we think Vic Fangio for coming on Teddy Bridgewater here at 11 06. Even if, say, Kwan Barkley is able to play And I talked with a friend of mine back there that covers the Giants over the weekend. He still thinks It's up in the air. Barkley is really pushing to play. And so they're trying to. In his words, they're trying to balance out. His desire to play, but I haven't been around any good players that don't want to play and them doing the right thing for him and the long term success to the franchise, but they're in a little bit of a similar situation. In New York. I mean, their fan base is really frustrated, and I feel like, you know, they've got to be a much better team this year. And so this you know we were talking, uh, was it yesterday Sunday? And this is they view this game is just an absolute critical game, even those one game And even though it's the first game of the season, the Giants are looking at the Broncos in a similar way than the that the Broncos are looking at the Giants a winnable game. Even if Barkley plays he's going to be on a snap count. I I can't imagine he's gonna get a lot of snaps out there coming back from a torn A C L. So I I don't think he'll be much of a factor in the game because I don't think he's going to get a chance to play much. They've got some injury issues going into Game one already. Their top corner. Adoree Jackson is hurt their number one draft pick the wide receiver that they were really thought was going to be a player. They traded up to get this guy. He's probably not going to play. So going into into week one. They've got some issues already. I feel pretty good about the Broncos chances this week. By the way, the Broncos did name captains for the year. That's A bit unusual. Vic had not done that the previous two years. Teddy Bridgewater, von Miller, Kareem Jackson, Brandon McManus and Courtland Sutton. Okay? I did say Justin Simmons, right? Yes. Okay. Is it interesting that McManus is is a captain or do you always have someone on special teams and since he's been around forever? He's a guy in for a while. Yes. Yeah, he's he's been a captain before. Uh And I mean, listen, is as much as I crack on kickers. Um They? They are valuable components of successful teams, right. You better have one of those guys that when you're when you're out there for 58 minutes, and you've got blood and sweat and snot all over you and broken bones, and you line up for a 48 yard field goal than windy conditions somewhere. And you're thinking, Dude, you better make this. You better have one of those guys that has ice in his veins and is confident to go out there and make the kick. I I still think Brandon McManus is one of the game's best kickers, especially in the clutch. I mean, as you come through every single time, No, but no kicker has But I would put my money on Brandon McManus in that situation, a 48 yarder in windy conditions down to on the road. And all you can do is every down players stand over there on the sideline and hope and look and say, Man, Please make this Yeah, I like I like their chances with him, too. He's been really clutch. On was particularly long field goals to win games. I mean, there's not I can't think of a kicker in the league. That's better than M. He's right up there with the top kickers in the league. Broncos got a lot going for him going into this football season. It's going to come down to the quarterback play. We're gonna have Teddy Bridgewater on later. This will be the first time he's been on the show. I think we Now you've interviewed him a couple times already day for for for pre preseason games, but I don't think we've had him on the show. We're looking forward to get to know him a little bit. People say great things about him. As a as like I as a human as a guy. Yeah, so as a leader on the team..

"The the kid doesn't seem to be lacking right. And i go back to his high school days. Kansas city's pretty big town and you grew up not too far from there and i have spent a lot of time there you. You're the best football and basketball player in in kansas city right and basically in those two states like kansas and missouri. And i know he's on the missouri side. You're going to walk into muslims. Would like you know what i am. The right so and it seemed like confidence was shoot. Seemed like consistency is the issue. But while i don't want to agree with you. I think if teddy bridgewater i'm not saying i don't agree with you. I just want to be wrong on on drew. If teddy bridgewater i. It seems more uncharacteristic based on the sample size right we've seen teddy bridgewater in the league for a bunch of years. Not take chances so if he shows throughout the entire training camp and in those have any preseason games he plays of the three that he's really gonna take shots with jerry jeudy and courtland sutton and really stretched a field and you know last year. He had guys and dj. In robby anderson. He could go vertical with and you just didn't And he was there. He is an offense really bad in late game situations but i think if he can coach is that they know he can do the underneath stuff that that that is probably the thing. They're least worried about right. That he'll throw it for four yards and make make sure second and six or whatever so bright. Maybe maybe you're right. Maybe he does show yeah. I'm willing to take a chance right. Found a win this job. I've got courtland sutton. I've got jerry jeudy. I'm gonna. I've got no fan and maybe our oh soon enough i am going to stretch a field and caja hamler right one. I think that again the chemistry. He's building with judy. Who i personally think. Judy is the best player or i guess. Maybe not yet because he. He had a rough Rookie season at times with his drops..

"Just beat him in the NFC championship game. Tom Brady. Left New England the team that he has been associated with that he has played for his entire career. He was not afraid to leave that place toe leave that environment. He goes to Tampa. And Tampa gives Brady everything he wants. He wants to tweak the offense. They tweak the offense. He wants to sign. Antonio Brown. They sign Antonio Brown. He wants to sign Giovanni Bernard. They signed you, Vonnie Bernard. He wants to sign. Weathered for net They signed Leonard for not even though they've already got all these running backs. He wants grunt to come out of retirement. They've already got O J. Howard and Cameron break. They've already got one of the most. The best 12 punch is a tight end in the league. But Brady wants crock. Okay, fine. You can have it. You got everything you wanted. He won the Super Bowl. Why? Why, In part did he win the Super Bowl? They allowed Brady to put a stamp on the offense. And be surrounded with all these great weapons in of I'm Aaron Rodgers. I look what Brady just did going to Tampa. In a perfect situation for a quarterback to enter and win right away. If I'm Rogers. I'm looking around a green man like Yeah, I got Davante Adams, but still that's all I got. They just spent a pick on the corners. They don't have that They don't have the number Two receiver still And I'm looking around like Denver. Look at them. Jerry Judy. That's a great young wide receiver. KJ handlers a good young wide receiver Courtland Sutton is a great wide receiver, and I have to put the young attachment to that. He's just downright awesome. They've got no offense. Good, strong, athletic, tight end better than anything I have. You're in Green Bay. Good running back. Melvin Gordon. I don't think he's as good as most people, but okay, fine. Catch the ball. Good offensive line. Good defense like I have everything I need here. No longer have to be the show. Don't have to lift up the entire organization. Put the Packers on my back. I could go to Denver and be a part of it. I could go to a perfect situation. That's how I win a Super Bowl. That's what Roger's should want, and I think that's what he does want. There are other situations like that. Miami is kind of similar to that with Jalen Waddle on Devante Parker and will fuller and like to Sicky, like they've got pieces all over the place and You've also got Um San Francisco who was in play before the draft. They're not in play now. But you had San Francisco. Debo Samuel. Good young, wide receiver. Brandon, I You got a great rookie season last year, George Kittle. Maybe the second best tight end in all of football. And AH head coach who has I'd like a Quarterback whisperer since he's been in the NFL. Rogers has the historical context the one out of Green Bay. He has Be Future outlook. You want out of Green Bay, the landing spots to want out of Green Bay. And the cherry on top to one on a green bay is they already picked out your replacement? What I think you should do. Sit out the first month of the season. Let Jordan love get into game action. Mess up the Packers timeline because they want love to settle 2020 to know you're not gonna get that. He's gonna have to play right away. Then I'm gonna come back a month in and you're gonna have to really decide something. Are you gonna wanna put that kid back on the bench? Cause if you don't get me out of here That's how I think Roger should play it. I think that's how he is going to play it. I think he's going to be traded. And I think he's I if he goes to one of these teams being talked about the Broncos, the Dolphins maybe not so much the Raiders but the Broncos, especially he could. Absolutely and I money want to predict will win a Super Bowl on a team like that. Able. Three or 5 50 is the phone number talking Aaron Rodgers one segment to go here in the night cap on WJR eyes there anything more epic than a reader's concrete?.

"So far in this episode. So here if he's already starting off with that edge just just you know. He's in the top fifty He's definitely getting in the forties and thirties For shirt in my in my opinion next season the last list cagey hamler it hurts. You don't respond to put a bronco in here. But i got love for caja hamler again. If you've been listening to the pot for awhile. United brought his name up in the past. I believe he was also in that. I put on that list for guys who were have a bigger week. than josh adams picks but katie. Hamler last year. Thirty receptions little under four hundred yards three touchdowns a little offense play in a russian plays involved. They mix it up with a little bit because why they do that because he's a playmaker. This is a versatile playmaker unique skill set for the broncos. They have big time. Why receivers courtland sutton tim. Patrick and i don laugh to patrick's legit You know judy. They have receivers in denver. You know but none of those guys do what handler. That's just as the straight facts. So this is where i like him. You know you hope this generation improves we on all these guys You hope that these listen. Here's the thing. He's unique skill set. The guy needs the ball. Courtland sutton coming back. A you know that that elevates everybody. I don't go across come back. That means hamlet regulus. Work no comeback with jerry. Jeudy whitson patrick. Junior all body strong. You know crafty wide receivers you throw handler. Come on bro. Rising tide lifts all boats. This guy is going to get much better next year again. He's probably you. Might you know i don. I don't know we're guessing drastically that improvement is. We're looking at right now. Last year. He finished lois on this list. Besides brian words. I believe from all the guys. I've mentioned so far With that being said again the the growth is going to be there. I'm not saying these guys are wide. Receiver wants missing their wide receiver to us early but you got wide receiver three slot a flex slot. Agai goes down. These guys are stepping into making plays. So i love them all on these lists. Let's like well why all forties players discussed lack the true full blown off season in training camp another year in the system. Much more reps improves. All their situations can deny that all guys can be drafted late or traded for without giving up much. I like these kind of guys. You definitely acquire them now and you sit on them and you wait and see how the situations emerge how much better. They get how much the team improves. Listen the these these kind of guys that can be so sneaky for you even if you take them they blow up some war and then somebody else wants more your team you kind of value. If that's the route you want to go but either way. This is low risk higher award all day. you know. I love that you're going to catch team manager slid right now if you try to get. Because they're worried about rookies coming out the rookie wide receivers. They're worried about the free agent. Receivers this this. This is where you take opportunity. We talk about windows. This is one them. Low risk higher award. I bet on him all day all day. Gabriel davis bryan edwards. Darnell mooney cagey hamler. Get them on your teams that they're not already there get them if it's redraft. You could draft him super late. Superleague dabo sleeper. Just about flyers user guide. You do it on. These are guys who rose dramatically increase of with an injury with you know one thing could change in these guys way more targets way more opportunities just the offseason that they didn't get it all matters is all matters. I'd love to hear if you disagree. Why i love to hear who you'd want on this list. Do you do that. You follow me on twitter. You follow me on instagram. At clock dodgers sent me a message. I'm i love these conversations. Are they spark some here to hear who you would put on this list or who you think i put on. This list shouldn't be here. I want to hear it all. Let's talk about it. Can also email contact at gliders dot com for any questions feedback thoughts. We love to hear from you. Remember if you haven't already please. That subscribe button levi review. "Bulls they drafted back to back wide receivers. They took no offense. God, Courtland Sutton. Right? I forgot about him earlier. Shame on me. They have Cortland son. Although he hasn't been a part of this, you know, most recent Uh, You know, push by the Denver Broncos to improve their offense. They've invested a lot, and they did it all. To get the best out of Drew lock. That's not working out. John Elway. Despite The ineptitude, despite how bad the last few years have been. Broncos somehow find themselves onto Sean Watson's wish list. And it is now incumbent on John Elway and George Payton and Kareem Jackson. Vic Fangio and anybody else who could have any impact on this? To try and make themselves the most attractive destination for just John Watson. And then they have to make themselves one of the best offers. Probably not going to be the best offer on the table. White if they can get close. To Miami and the Jets. Coupled with two Shawn Watson to sign. No, this is where I That's this is number one on my list. Maybe they could make it happen. I don't see a trade package that is too much for the Denver Broncos. I really don't I mean, honestly. Would you say? Absolutely. Positively no to Cortland Sutton. I mean, just Absolutely no You have Jerry Judy, you have KJ handler Eucharist signed Tim Patrick, Potentially If a guy you did, Shawn Watson. It wouldn't be my first choice, either. Maybe you could go multiple first round picks KJ handler. But I think that that would be overvaluing KJ handler. I'm just saying there are no there are no bad. Trade offers Bradley Chub, You want pass rusher? Bradley Chub. Re signed von Miller and we'll see what we could do. Maybe we get signed J. J Watt in that case. This is the essential piece of business that the Broncos have failed so many years now. To get done. You need to pass rushers. You may be shocked Bear it wants to come back. I don't know The opens Pandora's box If you end up with the Sean wants in What I All I'm saying is that if he's interested in the Denver Broncos intrigue, interested, smitten whatever the it is incumbent upon the Denver Broncos to now do everything they can in order to land him. And make the Houston Texans go back to just John Watson and go to their fan base and say We had this on the table and we said no. That's all you could do so you can't make the Texas trade him. You could make it really compelling. And Gruesome back channeling you can convince to Shawn wants in that Denver is the most attractive destination. It's in a minute. It's amazing opportunity that is completely come out of thin air. For the Denver Broncos. All this toiling all of the pain and anguish. And the son wants is is intrigued by you. The nicest thing anyone's said about the Broncos and years Not saying the Broncos end up with them, but they got to try their damnedest to try to make it happen. What's um, I mean, I like to play audio here. I don't like to hear from Jeff Brightest, but it just It enhances the segment. So here you are. Story number two. This certainly is not a total tear down and rebuild, like Um, you know, certain teams have chosen to undergo over time. I think of that were the case, you know, certain certain players would have already been traded. Right Or we would have, we would have made serious overtures to to move certain players in an effort to completely tear down and start a complete rebuild, so No, I don't think that we don't think that this is This is the case for for our situation right now. And that is Rockies general manager Jeff Bright. It's you know, his voice. It sounds like nails on a chalkboard when you hear him, but I play that audio from That blood letting a couple weeks ago. To tell you about John Paul Marosi is report that says That the Colorado Rockies or not. Engaged in conversation surrounding Trevor Story. Bite. With him being a free agent 2021. He could be a potential that could change between now in the trade deadline. Yep, right. It says it's not a complete tear down, but I think we're all at the point where we believe it should be. Should be like, what do you get you? You've already said that you're not committed. Adding payroll. You've done. You've shown that for the last couple of years, and you showed it and you've made every pandemic relating Excuse you can in order to Try to make us understand why you can't spend any money. And he just shipped off $50 Million or $500 Million. Whatever it was, Maya's will be 500. Dime is too much to pay another team for taking the best third baseman in the game off your hands. Look, we know you're not going to add to the team. You've signed Pudge Rodriguez, his kid and great bird. That's it. That's what you've done. They're both nonroster invitees to spring training. You made no other moves. So you're not going to get better? Right? Logic would tell you that I know logic is not part of the thought process at 20th and Blake, but They know they have to know They're not gonna get better after this. At least not better. Now, let's even live in a fantasy land. For a moment. That every one of the players that Jeff brightest got in return for Nolan are Renato turns out to be big leaguers and decent big leaguers. Everybody in that deal, Except for Austin Bomberg will not be on a major league roster and at least two years They won't That's how baseball works..

"And it just didn't get done. So I think the jury's still out a little bit on Kirk Cousins, and then obviously they also went the trade route. I mean, they have bred far they had case Keenum. So obviously you could say Brett Farve was really good for them at the time he was in Minnesota. Granted, they didn't make it to the end result of what they wanted to do there, either. But I think Brett Farve played well enough after his time in Green Bay that I think you could call that a success as well, bringing in Brett Farve. It was a big move, so they've tried everything first round picks. Trading for a quarterback and obviously the free agency, right. So George Payton, learning under Rick Spielman, and he was with Spielman at three different spots. He was with him with the Bears. He was with him in Miami, and he's been with him for Double digit years in Minnesota, so he saw everything. So I don't think that he's going to be afraid to pull the trigger and going a different route. A couple of those first round draft picks that the Vikings had on Lee got one year. I think the one that got the most was Teddy Bridgewater, and he got two years before he got hurt, then that was the end of that. So he's not afraid, if if it's not going the direction that he wants it to that he will go in a different direction. And I think if you have the opportunity to go out and get a top five quarterback that is what age 25 you do everything that you can. So that means three first round picks Andrew Luck. I'm definitely all in on that. And I even told you That I would even toss in Jerry Judy into that deal to sweeten it to make sure that that that can get done now granted, Let me just say this. I would try and get the deal done without throwing without Judy short, But here's my reasoning is toe why I would make him available in any particular deal. And obviously the shot. Watson has a no trade. So we could block coming to Denver, regardless of you offered the whole Bronco team for him, right, You know, But let's just say to Sean was interested in coming here, and I think he should be interested. Because if you look at the talent on this roster, it is young. And they're very talented. You have Courtland Sutton is the number one. And here's why I would give up. Jerry Judy in that scenario is because Tim Patrick to me last season showed me enough that he could be the number two number two wide receiver on this team. And you were gonna be successful with sudden and Patrick that you could say you don't have a burner out of those two, because I don't think anybody thinks of Of Courtland is a burner. But you did draft KJ handler who can stretch the football field, and I think he showed flashes of that last season. But Cortland sudden comes back healthy. And you have Tim Patrick in Cage, a handler, plus Noah fans. That is a lot of weapons for D Shawn Watson at his disposal, and I think Courtland sudden granted, he's not DeAndre Hopkins, but I think he is a rising superstar in this league. There's no question about that. I would completely agree. I would not I would not put Jerry Judy on the table as part of that deal of potential deal like that, right off that that's that's your ace in the hole that you're thinking long and hard about that. I mean, you're thinking. Okay. Even let's just say I'm not a drew locked believer. Someone is okay. That's fine. So drew locks a young quarterback that the Texans may or may not like what you put him in there. Because if you're getting too, Shawn Watson, you don't need drew lock. But if it's Judy, and lock and three first round picks I'm not saying I wouldn't make the deal, but I'm working really hard to make it a different player other than Jerry Juice, and let's be honest, This isn't about Drew lock it is about who does Sean watching inquest right now. No quiet..

Broncos Country Tonight
Who Will Be the Broncos Defensive MVP in 2020?
"Said we do have a poll question up right now at KOAA Colorado on Twitter who will be the Broncos defensive MVP in twenty twenty von Miller drill Casey Bradley Chubb Justin Simmons right now von Miller winning this poll Bradley Chubb is you're right there so pretty close I voted for Bradley Chubb by the way okay I voted for Justin Simmons the only because he sees the field the entire the entire season and I I really think you even thinking badly troubled well they they see the field was a ninety percent just the same as a hundred percent I mean pretty much yeah so I mean we're we're splitting hairs I I actually think there's argument for all all four of them I think there is I think you'd even throw in like I said Kareem Jackson I think we can have a argue about Todd Davis will likely leave we can at least leave the team in tackles there's there's there'll still be harassed kit comes away with with big plays batted passes I mean there's there's probably argument for anyone of these guys yeah other then then yeah I I could totally understand that just and you know he's good for the show and you know I enjoyed enjoyed talking to him from time to time but I'm not you know I I look at and and you know we're all big fans Justin Simmons B. last year before all this went down I was like he's going to become a household name by the end of season sort of maybe all pretty but you know I look at these guys and I'm just for my own personal thing and they have a bounce back season knowing how Bradley Chubb is is kind of Courtland Sutton on the defense enters the attitude work ethic all that kind of stuff and he was where it was interesting get to talk to both those guys a buffalo wild wings last year because it felt like it was kind of a new unified narrative between the two you know Courtland brother has sent a lot of the same things very similarly it's interesting because they're off the side of the ball so it's it's it would it was kind of fascinating to you know to see two guys have the same approach would be different sides of the ball that aren't necessarily in the same same meetings and
