Mississippi tornadoes kill 23, injure dozens overnight
"About two dozen deaths are reported in rural Mississippi, with fears that number will grow after a fierce tornado blasted the region. The national weather service says the tornado was moving at about 70 miles an hour when it barreled through towns northeast of Jackson, Mississippi. In sharkey county, there are reports of gas leaks and people trapped in piles of rubble. The mayor of rolling fork, Eldridge walker told an interviewer, my city is gone. He had been trapped inside his damaged home because of downed power lines. Mississippi's governor says emergency crews are being sent from around the state after the storm's destruction through sharkey county. It raced toward Alabama. There were reports thereto of damage with trees and power lines down in Marion county and winds gusting near 60 miles an hour. I'm Jackie Quinn.

Roger Stone Posits Why the Case Against Trump May Be Unraveling
"I want to talk to you about everything. I want to talk to you about what's going on with president Trump. I want to talk to you about desantis. What do you want to talk about first? Well, I think the big news, Eric is what's going on in New York or maybe what isn't going on in New York because I think it's now unclear. It appeared that the Manhattan district attorney that is a county prosecutor was going to take up a case previously reviewed and rejected by 5 hostile federal prosecutors against Donald Trump, which supposedly surrounds theoretical at least payoffs to a porn star for her silence during the 2016 campaign. Donald Trump has already triumphed in a defamation suit centered around these exact same issues. The government's chief witness is a man named Michael Cohen, who has specifically denied that exact allegation he's making today both under oath in the defamation lawsuit and in a letter to the federal election commission signed by his attorneys. So the real question, I guess, would become, was he lying then, or is he lying now? The whole point, of course, is will Alvin Bragg, who is a George Soros funded prosecutor, elevate what even if accurate would be a misdemeanor to a felony in an effort to try to destroy the political prospects of Donald J Trump.

"A suspect in the kidnapping of several migrant hostages in Houston has been shot and killed. Authorities say the incident began March 18th. Three migrants in a car were stopped in Waller county, Texas, and forced into another vehicle. It's believed their driver called 9-1-1, then came ransom demands and then video showing the hostages alive, but an elderly man was being beaten. The FBI was on the case and there were negotiations underway, says special agent James Smith on KTRK TV. One suspect was shot and killed. And a second suspect was taken into custody. Danielle Interviews Former Senate Aide Tara Reade
"I'm delighted to welcome our guest today Tara Reid. She's an author, actress, former Senate aide, and the host of the Tara Reade podcast. Tara, thanks for joining us. Hi. Yeah, I'm actually in my podcast is called the politics of survival. And it's on every Friday night. So on rumble and on YouTube, well, sometimes YouTube, sometimes they pull it down. You know. Oh my gosh. Oh no. So you get like some YouTube strikes and violations lately, but yeah, it seemed like it was more frequent earlier this year and it seems to have calmed down a little bit, but yeah, look everyone. I think rumble is really great because it's just sort of there's no, there's no censorship. Yes, that is so nice. It's crazy too how I'm sure you were just talking about things that shouldn't have been censored, but how it is. But yeah, I thought we could get started by maybe you could tell us a little bit about your earlier years in life. Where did you grow up? Where are you from? Kind of tell us a little bit about you becoming a Senate aide. Oh, okay. Yeah, that's interesting. wrote about it in my book left out when the truth doesn't fit in, and you can find that on Amazon or wherever. I wrote a bit about my childhood, but I lived on a farm in Wisconsin when I was a little girl. I was born in the Monterey county, California, since Linus. And you know, I went back there as an adult actually to the Monterey area, which is a beautiful area, but very, very expensive. And I loved my years growing up in Wisconsin farm. I always had an interest in my family is very political. My mother was an activist and anti war activist Vietnam and very committed to that. My father, I was pretty much a strange with him after their divorce from 13 9. I didn't see much of him for years at a time. But he was a defense contractor and worked for the panna cotta at one time and was a writer. So he was very different politically than my mother. So very different views. And I think that's kind of in a way good because I've had a lot of different input of different points of view throughout my life.

Monica Crowley: Interesting Turn of Events in NYC Trump Case
"I'm curious to know your take on what's happening right now in New York. Something is up. And I'm wondering if Trump in his brilliance was able to really thwart what could have been his arrest. It's a very, very interesting turn of events, isn't it? Because somebody obviously leaked late, I guess, Friday night. And by the way, I was at Mar-a-Lago on Friday night. I emceed the Republican organization's Lincoln day dinner for Palm Beach county in Florida. It was held up Mar-a-Lago. I was very honored to be the MC and very honored to introduce president Trump. And I was with him that night. I introduced him and gave me a big hug and a kiss and then gave a fantastic speech. He didn't rely anything, but obviously he had heard something by late Friday night and then of course we got the news later that night or the next morning. Look, somebody broadcasted this to the world. And all heck broke loose, right? As we saw now, it's becoming crystal clear according to all these leaks that even a Manhattan grand jury which has been impaneled now for years on this subject, years. And by the way, there's no original crime. There's no concealment of a crime. There's no secondary crime and it's way out of the statute of limitation. So there is literally nothing here. They've wasted New York taxpayer money in impeding this grand jury for years at a time on this thing. But now it looks like Alvin Bragg canceled the grand jury yesterday and today and it looks like they're having difficulty convincing even a panel of liberals who probably hate Donald Trump in New York that there has been a crime committed here and that they should hand up an indictment.

What's Wrong With Gavin Newsom?

He's going to be the guy most likely, you know, God forbid of Michelle Obama or somebody pops up on the scene, but I don't really foresee that leaving all of her income and all that kind of stuff behind. Is Gavin Newsom still looking towards The White House? It's really seems hard to fathom. Given how disastrous he is, but maybe people don't understand how disastrous this guy has been. I think they don't. And the press just completely plays along with it. And sadly, even our conservative press over the last month or so, I was basically screaming my head off about something happening here in California. We all know he took off to Mexico when we had these snowstorms about what God ignored was that there was this mountain community outside of Los Angeles, big bear Lake arrowhead area San Bernardino mountains, 21 days these people were snowed in under 12 feet of snow. They normally get maybe 6 feet in a winter. So they have some equipment, but not for 12 feet that fall within 7 days. And people were snowed in. Even when they got the main roads, plowed up there, but then within the communities they couldn't get around. I talked to people who were trying to do relief flights out there like helicopter flights of supplies because grocery stores roofs valid so they couldn't get the supplies from there. And the sheriff wouldn't let them land because it was a disaster zone and they weren't government helicopters, but the government wasn't doing anything. Why? Because San Bernardino county voted to study seceding from California and didn't forget it.

"Emerald, thanks for joining us. I'm happy to be here. It's really good to talk with you. Yeah, of course. I'm so excited to get your thoughts on this because I know that this whole weekend has been crazy ever since Trump truth that he might be arrested on Tuesday. And of course, everyone has been figure out, is this going to happen tomorrow? Is this going to happen later this week? I've seen different reports. Some people are saying that because there's another witness coming forth today that maybe it won't happen tomorrow. But either way, what was kind of your reaction to seeing this news over the weekend? Well, not shocking for me. I've been saying since last year that the plan ultimately for Democrats, whether it's the Biden DoJ at the federal level, or you've got the states that are also New York, which we're seeing with Alvin Bragg, and then Georgia down in county, the district attorney down there, trying to arrest Trump. We knew it was coming. Now, am I a little bit surprised that it can be a state level charge before the actual federal charges from the DoJ? Yeah, I'm a little bit surprised by that, 'cause I'll be honest, I've been talking to people since early last year within the DoJ that are not exact exactly Biden activists like the majority of the DoJ, then that is ultimately the goal under Merrick Garland. They've been looking at a way to arrest Donald Trump. There was some thought that it would even come on federal charges before January. There was some talk before the midterm elections, but I don't think they quite have it lined up. So the real question is here, I think, is how involved is the federal level. The DoJ in Washington D.C. with this state level charge.

Attacks Against Trump Won't Stop at Soros-Backed Manhattan DA
"I'm telling you, this all smells like this has been orchestrated by the Biden administration. And we all know who's writing the Biden administration. Just take your pick, Susan Rice. Barack Hussein Obama, somebody's pulling the strings here. Merrick Garland, somebody's telling this district attorney to forge ahead with a case, by the way, that a 7 years old that the federal authorities took a pass on. They looked at all the evidence. They said there's nothing here. As a matter of fact, The Wall Street Journal earlier today and in a staff editorial. An editorial board statement, they said that at worst, this is a misdemeanor. So what is this really all about? What we all know, we all know what this is about. This is about trying to stop president Trump from running for reelection. And if you think this Democrat D 8, who has funded by George Soros to the tune of at least a $1 million that we have been able to verify, if you think it's going to stop with that district attorney, you've got another thing coming. John Lott Jr. Tells Us About Biden's New Universal Background Checks
"Talk Second Amendment. It is Friday. He literally wrote the book on firearms, control the attempts to the nude you of your rights, more guns, less crime, and so many others, Doctor John lott, welcome back to America first. No, it's great to talk to you again, sub. Thanks for having me on. So a few days ago, I asked for your assistance. You very graciously via text, helped explain to me what on earth it is that Biden administration is trying to do. So will you talk to us about the so called universal background checks and the latest skullduggery coming out of the Democrats? Yeah, I have to say one of the biggest ironies is Biden goes to California to go and advocate for all sorts of new gun control laws. California already has all those laws and yet the reason why he's going there is because they've been having a spate of mass public shootings. In fact, if you look over the years, what you find is that since California's head, these laws, they've had many more higher per CAPiTA rate of mass public shootings than the rest of the country. So it's not really obvious to me why somehow we want to go and emulate what's going on in California and such, I would go and argue that there are types of gun control laws, the restrictions that they have have actually been responsible for these attacks and all the gun free zones that they've created there, the fact that in Los Angeles County where he was at last year they had only one concealed carry permit for every 5000 600 adults

Wargaming the Trump Indictments With Citizen Kane
"Think it's important that we get ahead of this and we make sure people are expecting an indictment because then I think it will kind of get rid of some of the sizzle, don't you agree. I think that we need to brace the base for impact on this. And then absolutely. And then speak openly and honestly about what that means. And so let me ask you, let's say Trump gets indicted in Fulton county and Manhattan. Legally, I don't think it can bar him from running in any state as even if he becomes a convicted felon, which would be so ridiculous and so outrageous and so awful. But do you think that helps him hurt him or it makes him stay neutral in a Republican primary? Yeah, it's a really great question. It's super complicated. I have a story near the top this morning axios tries to sort of analyze the various indictments. So let's break it down first. Here's what I think. I don't think there's anyone coordinating at all, but they all understand that they want Trump out, right? They do not want him in the race in 2024. So I feel like they're going to try to kill him with indictments. So the axios article talks about the Alvin Bragg and the Manhattan prosecution on the stormy Daniels case. So let's handle that one first. Even axios is skeptical of it. They talk about the possibility of a judge tossing that case before it would even make it to trial. And you know, and I think that one's been litigated enough and there's enough doubt that that's the one I least worry about. However, as axios claims, that's likely to be the first criminal indictment. So we have that one. Then we've got Fulton county. As you and I have talked on two previous occasions, that one's going to happen. It seems really, really obvious. Who else will be indicted besides Trump? I'm not sure. But then that one's going to come down to the jury. Now let's jump to DoJ and Jack Smith. You know, they talk about that in the axios article. The Biden classified documents does that dilute the potential of a Mar-a-Lago case DoJ Mar-a-Lago case against Trump. But there's still the January 6th case. So I'm going to say that I think there will probably be at least two indictments Manhattan and Fulton county and the potential for a third from DoJ. Now to your question of, is it important that we talk about this ahead of time? Absolutely. We have to be prepared for this. Just like you said, it takes the sizzle away.

How many defenders are in. That area is a real key to call in those place. Yeah it is and that that's what we look at. We were more call. Plays guys in the press pot. We're looking at box. And and if we're out mass in the box and we all know not say you can't run but we feel like we got events in the passing game and if it's a top football when you said it there a four one five on five you have five offensive line five offensive. Linemen got five of our guys on five of their guys. Hopefully running backs going to be able to pick a spot get through and they. Now you've got somebody like jacobus big back on one of their smaller. Db's and that's going to be a win ninety percent of the time for the hornets again. That's stugotz brownsboro. You saw while he was averaging almost seven yards of kerry because number one we block in their five and then what he's making contact with one of their secondary players usually. That's going to give you two or three more yards shirt. He's going to bounce off that he's going to fall forward because he's a very physical back. Yeah okay so let's move on one of the things that we talk about every week. I know these. You have some keys to the game that you talk about with your players. What are the keys for this week. Well this we number one. The word of the week is one percent so we talked obama. Challenge them about everybody's saying they've saying that graphic you know and talking to the difference about being one percent better everyday versus being one percent worse and really you know that's very minor if you think about what does that mean if you're one percent worse that's not that's not that much worse really in one day but if you if once you add that up and i think probably knows people have seen that graphic that yearly graphic of that graph where you're one percent better for three hundred sixty five days versus one percent worse where you end up so. He talked to our kids about that about this season about this week. Because the key is we can't take the brownsboro game. Think yeah you know and again thanks employees but we. We can't take say. Yeah we've arrived. We can't we can't rely. We gotta continue to find ways to get better this week if we want to accomplish what we plan to accomplish in this district because everybody knows i'll be i the detained by once we get to district in week five. The competition level is fixing the. Go up it's a little bit more difficult than are not dishes schedule and so we continue to improve then. Were not going to accomplish what we to accomplish. And so anyway. That's why war at least one percent also today number one just playing off that it'd be better at the small things of what your position is supposed to find a way.

Grant we'll do that. Grant you score higher when you actually do say we're back in this grant that's right. And we have over the last number of years. The last two decades sponsored three or four of these previously and been successful each time by following that process and these grants are able to be used for many other purposes besides water. But we really feel that that is really the best use for and so we reserve those for these local water development corporations all right and so we're talking about significant amount of money here three hundred and fifty thousand dollars for crescent heights and the match would be just seventeen thousand five hundred so you're talking about three hundred. You know twenty three thousand dollars were no three hundred and thirty three thousand dollars worth of grant money they can go into this infrastructure. And one of the things i i. I'd like your take on and talk about is just what the cost of this kind of infrastructure. I mean what the cost is astronomical to improve these infrastructures. It is and you look to of these massive infrastructure developments in the last ten years. He cedar creek went through one. That erected a new tower there on the east on the eastern side of gumbo plus what athens done over the last five or six years with its water supply. It is very expensive. And when you when you looking at getting quality dependable service it takes that investment that is often beyond the means of being able to budget every year so these grant opportunities. Are there so that you can have this capital improvement of equipment. It is a daunting task when you look at a growing population and a growing demand on water here. The statewide is as the state grows. It has been in the news quite a bit of the demands on the water system. So you're looking at not only funding but Availability of the resource and thank god. We live in a place where we have quite a bit of water resource. Yeah we're actually very. We're very blessed. The aquifer is shallow. Gallo your strong ear where we can tap into it. You have so so. That's a really positive staying in in the you. Look at the fact that tarrant county had to dig cedar creek laying in order to try to bring water up the tarrant county. I don't know there may be some people who don't know that but the reason cedar creek lake is there. Cedar creek lake is man made. And if you can't catch up to it you can go back and you can watch your commissioner's court in this week. You had quite a few things dealing with crescent heights water. Tell us what's going on Kristen heights Came to the county asking for its assistance and helping to improve the water system and availability as as we continue to grow those types of infrastructure demands are just gonna follow and they are trying to get ahead of the game and there is a program out there that's called the community development block grants and historically hitter since county has reserved its participation and these block grants for our rural water corporations which crescent heights fits. And you'll you'll see the county participate about every four years or so because if you take some time out of it you know you're number score rises in and it really helps. these water. Corporations gained that funding to increase and provide better services and we are sponsoring them and this year's particular round okay so for for those who are unfamiliar with the grant process. They had held a memorial just earlier that day. But this is a this is a great idea his something should way to give trend to fantastic jim. That's right that's right We appreciate the representative. Wanted him what he resumed wishing to do and they asked for our resolution of support so that it would be in the packet when it goes before the house and the senate yeah that that seems like a slam dunk yacht to do that So we'll be looking forward to that that something actually going through the state legislature. yes And hopefully by the end of this year this this session will have good news on that. let's move on. I wanna talk a second about cove it clinics because cova clinics are just were role in. We went Several weeks after we reported on this podcast that the state had asked the county be ready to be able to put on a clinic at some time off eight hours away and then there were several weeks where nothing happened and then all of a sudden last week it all kinds of brooklyn loose cheese last in wall. Let's let's put this part in there while the county was waiting You the county went out and put together a deal deal with family circle of care. Yes to hold your own correct Clinics and so last week on monday the first family circle of clare slash henderson county clinic. I think there was two hundred. Yes then on friday one hundred. "Here which is what led us to the. We'd take monday. I was lucky enough. I had put my name on that list along time ago. When it first came out we talked about the list here on the podcast so i put my name on the list pretty quick but i got called the call for mondays. mondays clinic. And it was for the madonna vaccine right And it went really well. It was a hundred hundred. Vaccinations were given now from what i understand. This is what's going to be important to our listeners. You know the hope is that they're going to be more of these clinics with the county and Family circle of care. Yes going into like maybe next week week after. Yes that is why. Wait with the monday clinic. We had our meetings in our discussions is that we would do a soft opening and take a number of one hundred and run through the process of it is right and then make sure that the process flows well and to use it as we said as i soft opening to make sure our methods were correct and would work will also give Fcc an opportunity to work with our people out at the senior citizens building and the fairgrounds and the it was really you very well through. It went very well. It was yeah. There was no problems at all. I mean and what was what we had hoped to do and still are going to continue. Working toward is that we start that process moving up the amount of individuals and it again based on vaccine availability. Moving up so that we can bring more of those here. Hopefully we can be doing one. A week is what we're hoping for all right and so when you do those There's gonna come from that list correct until that list is empty. Isn't coming from that list. Tell us how you can get on that list now. I'm gonna put a link to the list at sign up in in the notes for the show but tell us how we can get on the list. Go to henderson. Dash county dot com and that is the henderson county website. And if you'll look up in the at the red banner. There is a tab that says kobe nineteen information. Click on that and that will take you to a page. That has several links on there is the net hath sign up on that page and then there is the henderson county. Believe it says dsl henderson county dsa. Chess sign up. Click on that and take you right to it. Same location where we've tracked all of our information and it's and it's simply a google form. That's all you're going to go when you're gonna put in your name you know your phone number basically and what happened with me as i got a phone call do. Have you had your shot yet. Do you still want it. Are you available on monday. Right and nats halloween. It's very simple well in that. That process is exactly what has rolled into the upcoming events. So let's talk about that real quick this friday There is going to be a vaccination event at the fairgrounds that involves the united states. Army the national guard national guard. This is that mobile pop up clinic that no we had long awaited for. It was very interesting because as we were just wrapping up and getting all the details laid out for this mondays clinic last friday at four pm..

"But it's all based upon the census data and you know what there's a time line to get these things done. Because if the release of census data comes too late in the year to get all of the puts in the takes the moving in the adjusting and the balancing and all the wrangling that goes on that has to be finished in time to begin the next election process. We just finished one but elections never in everett. Every two years they start. We actually agreed to conduct Five or six elections. This may for some the school districts in the cities in the areas elections never end and it is based so much on census data that this delay pushing us back till summer december is sign up time and usually you get to start in march delayed till august. That church closes the window down. And we also have to deal with the fact that it's all timed for the legislature by texans. We have this belief that the Less time lawmakers are meeting the better for us and so one of the things. I had to get used to when i got here to. Texas is the fact that lawmakers meet for very short period of time every other year. And they're only in session until one hundred and forty days. One hundred and forty days may thirty first is the closing sanitize. They say in the house so the current legislative session is due to end may thirty first bowl. We might not get the census data until the summer until summer. That sounds like a problem. Yes you know. The governor can call a special session which is a thirty day session for targeted legislative work and we have been taking side bets in laffin cutting up with everyone of going. How long will the legislature actually being austin this year so this is a if it does not come in. There will be a special session and when it is focused solely on redistricting. And there's not other distractions involved a special session. The can either be really good and really fast or the condition. Quite a deal of wrangling going on that delays the process even farther and so to give you an idea of why some of this stuff is. Important is a lot of federal grants. Allied of of funny. They flew close down to local areas or based on census. Data based on these redistricting in these districts. Obviously the elections if you re draw lines. It changes the districts ten years ago. Last time the state went through redistricting henderson county And ended up in two separate state house districts which i will be upset about until my dying day that that happened to henderson county. I think it was the worst possible thing to happen to our county. I can't believe that it was allowed to happen. I will scream that. It was a mistake and hate on those politics until the end. I'm right there with you on that. Because is the only rule county that had that was split like that. You know we're rule nature. This is common in the more populated areas because there is a specific set. You take the population divide divided by one hundred fifty. Because that's how many legislators we have in house and that's the population sites well in urban areas..

"I know all this they there were so many things win involved with these to ensure that they were viable vaccines upon delivery right. It's yeah it's the science in his thing and they're doing the best and and we have a vaccine in for the most part of the the reports back have been positive as vaccines rolled out and all that is good however it still is something they're figuring out as we move along exactly can't count want to say one thing Dsa chess is now on publishing the numbers about Not only the allocation henderson county's been allocated the region of henderson county not the government of henderson county but the region. I can't wait to confuse everybody's all over again has been issued forty one hundred doses and of which there have been four thousand one hundred and fifty four residents of the county that have been have received at least the initial dosage four point eight percent four point. Eight percent have yeah. That's comparing along rather the same as anderson canning cherokee as you move. Urban areas have a much higher. Assure the same as they were with the tests. All right. let's finish this up with. Where are we on. Because i know we're waiting for d. s. h. s. to give us the go ahead and say we're ready for a mobile vaccination event. When what do we know about that it is. We are still headed confirmed yesterday. We're still in that slot waiting for an allocation of vaccines to dsa chess to bring to henderson county. Same everything is the same. As far as what we provide what they provide its availability of vaccine even started looking at. If there's a way that we can pay to have the service brought in to bring it in sooner we are trying every avenue. We can think of to accelerate the availability here in henderson county so that individuals don't have to travel to the hub areas in the urban areas or a white excessively long locally to get into their doctor's office even yeah from new jersey..

"Over to vaccinations at that's where all the attention is. And the news. They are not as positive. It's not and it mirrors exactly what the testing was in the beginning. The availability of the testing equipment and materials was not there the first two to three months that The pandemic had started and that is following suit along with the vaccines as well currently on average Even though there have been some larger accu allocations the texas averages about three hundred thirty thousand back scenes a week is what it's allocated from the federal government for the whole state for the whole state. Well you take that and divide a divide that into twenty nine million. It would take eighty seven weeks to back to vaccinate the entire population about a year and a half the entire population of texas and it. Is you have to remember the process of the vaccines began. They even call it warp speed. You know it begin at a dead run and here. We are within a year's time with two vaccines and one more from johnson and johnson. I called the janssen that is due to go in front of the fda for emergency authorization and that will help get more out Right now there's just not that much. Texas ranks forty ninth per capita out of the fifty states as far as vaccine allocation though we have vaccinated you know coming up on two million people. We are a large stake. Sure and like. I said we rank about forty ninth per capita. Those of us in rural areas in the state are always going to be behind for all the reasons. We have detailed in the past. Right i'm excited about that. Johnson johnson and vaccine read a little bit about that. That's a one shot vaccine lot more like our traditional vaccines from what i've read. It's not as effective mean keeping you from niger. Getting sick at all however and this was. I actually tweeted out you know. I think that they buried the important part when they were reporting saying that it's like seventy percent effective but ended says it's one hundred percent effective at eliminating hospitalizations and death. Okay i i'm good with that right. I'll take it if it's going to mean. I don't go to the hospital and i don't die. I'm good if i get a little sick for a while right. But i don't wanna die in it. Is that is what they call. A viral vector vaccine were the other two that we have or the il mar in a vaccines. The viral vector is a traditional style of vaccine..

"And so we don't know. Did that contribute did it. Not but we had the huge spike that may january the were we had more individuals. Pass away than the other but We are on the backside of it but the thing i also wanna out were still twice as high in hospitalizations than we were in july. Yeah back when the first wave hit so bad and we were worried. Yeah as we're coming down. We're still double that. We're still doubled that injured and that's a testimony to our healthcare system and what they have done in throughout this process of being able to withstand the pressure and just that continual demand our last conversation with a hospital here in the individuals. Very concerned about here. You know we're looking at less than twenty now and it's been a long time since has been under twenty. Yeah yeah very long. And so the important part here is the fort being under the fifteen percent. Mark is the fifteen percent hospitalizations. What we're talking about a staffed beds how how. What's the percentage of staff beds available in the region that are taken up by covid nineteen patients and the governor set fifteen percent as the rate for the high hospitalization area dictation and so if an area is designated as high hospitalizations there is There are limits in place on capacity for restaurants other kinds of businesses gatherings. There there are. There is a series of limitations on those if the area if the tsa is under fifteen percent for seven consecutive days that designation goes away and those limitations are lifted. That's correct moving from the fifty percent capacity. Backup to the seventy five percent capacity. And now we've got our fingers crossed. We'll see what today brings and then two more days after that when they may be lifted. Yeah oh this is one of those things that we definitely. It's golf score. We want this to keep going down exactly okay. So that's great news on that front on the hospitalization front. I know that We've seen you. And i have talked about that the that the data just overwhelming sometime but well we know from Just being around town and everything else is that testing is much more available. Yes people are getting tested much earlier in the process. I got sick wednesday. I had an illness. I wasn't sure what it was saturday morning. I went and got a test just to make sure was able to get a rapid test. Find out i don't have kovin was able to lake. Go and beat normal sick. Those kind of options are available. And that's helping so much because treatments are happening faster because it's available in so people are staying out of the hospital because those kinds of things are improving and we can see that all across the community What we've done now. Though is we've moved and people's attention have moved from testing and the testing and the care what treatments there are..

"What's happened. Since then have we given kaufman county in answer. Yes the the answer. Was that Any action that you take we do not recognize in this matter unless you follow the actual statutes that create the avenue of changing the border. So what we said is thank you for the letter. It fit really nice in the shredder. No i still have the letter. O honestly still have. We still have the lettuce but the answer was no. We do not recognize this particular right and because the proclamation is just that it's a proclamation. Whatever happens inside. The borders kaufman counties is kaufman counties concern. Whatever happens in henderson. County's borders is our concern. That's the entire point. If if kaufman county a henderson county are working on different borders. Now for those who have follow you can go back and look at it. But the short version is there is a little notch. The the northern border between henderson county and kaufman county does go straight across. There is a little drop in it. They say that's not supposed to be there. That means that there's how many acres oh seven hundred seven hundred acres. That would be in henderson county instead of kaufman county with all of those people so my question is if they're going. Hey we proclaimed it hands up. What happens to the people in the notch that i'm i would believe is the million dollar question for those individuals They are not recognized as being citizens of henderson county. They are recognized by. Go the jaylo when you pull up the map. It's has the notch in it. I mean the notches there. They are residents of kaufman county. In the matter of their deeds. Matter of everything else on record there is a process that must be followed to truly solve the issue. I mean henry. County doesn't have an issue with the notch. Kaufman county does well if you want to correct. There's only one route to go and statute and that is to survey the entire boundary of henderson county..

"We do the others. We will open it up for applications. We currently are working on that now on the posting for it and leave it open for a little while on individuals wishing to apply. And then we'll go through the vetting process and it is a Commissioner's court is involved. But of course third the election commission or election committee that involves the two party chairs the county clerk the tax assessor collector in the county judge in that selection process. And then commissioner's court has involved in. It is and to setting the budget and agreeing more or less. Here's your new elections administrator. So and that's an important thing to say too because the elections administrator is not elected position. That's correct however it's not. We talked about this last week. You know each one of these departments is kind of its own little thing underneath it. It directly drops the different places. The jail is directly under the sheriff. That's why you know. The district attorney has her stop and the county attorney has his job and the district clerk has their stuff and everything is in their little towers that the the elections office is a little different. It is and that's what is related to last week. It's much more complicated than what you would think. It is on the surface. There are those individual responsibilities as we said. Prior to having elections administrator it was the elections. Were run by the county clerk in the tax assessor collector. You know two completely. Different offices having a joint function and that rolls into the selection. Won't you have an administrator that they are available the that they are a part of the process. The county judge representing. The commissioner's court is a part of the process. And then the two party chairs representing the parties is involved in it. It's would think. Hey we want an election administrator. But it doesn't work like that to clear all the hurdles of statue and you gotta have the two parties involved because a lot of the elections that are run and the.

"Requirements that have come about road. Centers creation of votes centers. She presided over a an election. Revolution really really did she did she. She had the largest single influence and guiding our election processes in henderson county and it. I am amazed at how far we've come in very proud of what henderson county has been able to do because of denise hernandez dedication and knowledge that she's gained over this time when it comes to run in elections. I don't know of anybody better. And i have to say that As a reporter over the years of you know maybe less a reporter now than it used to be more of the pr guy. Don't know but anyway a reporter. I'll but with newspaper or with henderson county. Now when i was running that site. I knew that i could ask a question. And get an answer from her and get a even if it wasn't a good lay. It wasn't an answer that made the county looked great. I got the answer. I al- i always got. This is what's going on. I was always able to Peek into the process act in that watchdog kind of a of a position and denise hernandez always allowed us to do that to make sure that everything was on the up and up and community could no right. It's elections were being run according to the law which is really important. Especially now when it's so fashionable to say that you know all elections are rigged and it's all fake and everything. I mean it's so hard to do that and then try to run it door to pandemic. oh exactly and denise and her her crew which actually if not many people know this. She had a very inexperienced staff going into this election. She had a complete tarnaud over. the experience. level was all and denise. I think her longest tenured individual. There was about a year and a half going into this election process and she nailed it and it was just pure determination and dedication to doing it and doing it right and doing it. Lawfully that has put us in this place that we're in because you're right with all of the Social media discussion of rigged elections is set. And the other. I can guarantee you. I don't know about anywhere else. Don't care what i care about. What's happened in henderson county and denise hernandez running this place. I knew it was going to be done correctly..
