"My schedule, if I showed you my calendar, you'd go. This is a joke, right? Is this for your whole staff? The other day I had 16 things that I had committed to do in one day, let alone, that was just on my electronic calendar, let alone the little notes I make. But what I do is I try to get enough sleep, but I get up and before I get up in the morning, I will, and I missed it today, so I'd be totally transparent. There's times where my schedule is so insane that it just was like, oh shit. I will typically wake up with an alarm clock. I'll say, okay, man, you need to get up. 6 o'clock, get going. And I'll wake up. I'll meditate. I'll do some very intentional breathing exercises to exercise my lungs in a specific way, which is everyone should be doing, given what's going on around the world. Doing jiu-jitsu is getting you a good aerobic and anaerobic shape, but it's not intentionally and specifically exercising your lungs. Doing breathing exercises does that. In the same way, you can be grappling chase and you got strong hands, but you can also get the world's best. I don't get any money to say that captains of crush and they've got they've got, you know, like I can barely close this one. They've got like number 5, I can't even move it. Number four, I can hardly move at number three. I can't even get like it's so you can isolate and do specific things with your hands. So as you can do the same thing with your lungs. So I do every day meditation just to develop better mental focus and brain power and mindfulness practice and I do breathing and I do those two things before I get out of bed. Then I will get out of bed and then what I'll do is I plan my shit and then I'll go for a walk. Almost every day I've got some cool trails around here. There's no bears. There are cougars and coyotes, but they're at night, so I'm pretty safe. And I'll do that walk. And then I come back and I hit, I hit the date, sometimes I've got a lot of writing commitments. We're working on a really cool interactive book, which is people who have been asking for years, what am I going to write a book? So I'm writing, and I've got lessons coming out. So it's actually it's in a live organic PDF where you read a couple of pages of insights and information. And then you watch a class. So I've been writing every morning. And then I do that when I'm having my perfect day, I won't even look at social media or email until after I've committed that. And that'll usually that'll go from like 7 to 9. Those two hours are real creative. Then at 9 o'clock three times a week, I teach live on Zoom, all those calls are recorded, and they go to our library, so anyone can access them and watch them. And then really my day starts. The day be the CEO day starts where I'm like really a fireman with a hose putting out fires going to block. How did this happen? Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Awesome. Are Pete Davidson and Kim Kardashian Knocking Boots?
"Now I want to plug to the world is absolutely upside down. But today you've probably heard all about this, Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson were spotted holding hands on a roller coaster at not scary farm in LA. People magazine's got the scoop, I love the scoop. Yeah, like no one called them. I'll get to that in a second. I don't think this is real. But somebody is telling magazines that the situation between these two is just friends hanging out, which is what I think. Although somebody had gawker, they've confirmed they say that Kardashian and David's and by the way, you think they're like kind of the same age. She's 41. He's 27. I always think of him being a little older than that. And her being kind of younger, but no, 41 and 27. Wow. She's like a goddamn cougar to him. So people like gawker is saying they spent the night together at an LA hotel on October 28th. And not scary farm is not that far from Calabasas where she lives I'm wondering why they even have to do that. I don't know. These two might seem like a non couple, but the connection if you think about why they were together it makes sense. Pete Davidson is friends with Machine Gun Kelly. They did a movie together called big time adolescence. And Machine Gun Kelly's latest album is produced by Travis Barker who's engaged to Kim's sister, Courtney, and Barker, by the way, let's not forget this and all the smoke and mirrors. Buckner had a one point set he wanted a bone Kim before he even got to Courtney. People aren't talking about that, but that's certainly true. Baylor Or Houston, Who Looked Better?
"Toss up. Who looked more impressive last night or baylor baylor to me houston had a big lead and they let it slip away and they won the game so good for them but baylor looks better and better to me every game that they play date. They were sat down for about three weeks. I think they missed on corona virus protocols and they lost a game maybe their second game back against kansas but now that they play with regularity they just looked better all the time to me. There veterans they're juniors and seniors. They're composed they can take you off the dribble. They can win games. And i think we're going to get to the point. Knock on houston where we end up with the one in the two and the three team from all year long right and that is the right to have that could happen. I don't i don't care about that. Like upsets in my tournament. But i'm going to say tony. You have the same answer. That i mean baylor you talk about guard play and the tournament that you and i do appreciate guards dominate tournament. They got their deepen guard play. I mean smart tough athletic gar play they come at you and waves sort of like the old houston cougars. You know guy. V lewis is houston teams and yes they had a king but they also had just wings in guards who just smothered you. That's what baylor looks like that. That toni ballard did struggle when they first came back from the corona protocol. Absence but each game subsequently. They've gotten better. I agree with

New York Lawmakers Expected To Legalize Recreational Marijuana
"15th state along with the District of Columbia to legalize recreational marijuana. State lawmakers are expected to vote on that later today. Officials say they hope to create a regulated industry with tens of thousands of jobs while ending racially biased drug arrests. NPR's Brian Mann reports. Police across New York State still arrest hundreds of people every year for possessing small personal use amounts of pot studies show people of color are far more likely to be prosecuted for marijuana possession. Senator Liz Krueger, a Democrat from Manhattan, says her bill will end that. I think it's a huge change. We're going to be a sponging the criminal records. Of tens of thousands of people. Governor Andrew Cuomo says he'll sign the measure. His office estimates annual tax revenues from legal pot sales could eventually reached $350 million a year with his many as 60,000 jobs. Cougar says the law directs those benefits to neighborhoods hit hard by addiction and high arrest rates. 40% of the revenues That will come out of the taxes from legal marijuana will go right back into those communities that were harmed by the drug wars. Critics of this bill acknowledge pot legalization is unstoppable. Sandra Doorly is a Republican prosecutor who heads the New York State District Attorneys Association. We understand that It's going to be reality. Doorly worries The measure doesn't give police clear authority to deal with motorists impaired by marijuana. If you legalize marijuana, and you stop someone who you believe is impaired, you know, how were we going to be able to prove it? Democrats agree It's hard to detect motorists impaired by marijuana, and they're backing new research to develop better roadside cannabis tests. Recreational use of marijuana remains a federal crime. The Lead
From Public Defender To Stanley Cup Champion
"So joe for those who might not follow the nhl super closely. Can you just give us a sense of what jon cooper has accomplished during his as a coach in the nhl. Definitely jon cooper is the longest tenured coach shell. He's on an eight th anniversary of his hiring on this week. The winningest coach in franchise history for the lightning. And i think he's highly regarded as one of the better coaches in the league and probably a candidate coach team. Canada at the next olympics are positions and olympics for the trump player so deadly highly regarded coach but up until this past season. He hasn't won the big one and that was kind of the big question surrounding it. And how would you describe his personality. Well he's a players go. She's a really fun personality. Like you quotes wedding crashers. Upper seventy six. No excuses public champion. You uses a champion. The only person you have to answer to when you go home at night is really yourself. The national media loves him because he is a great world this charismatic. You're going to get knocked down. There's no question people are going to push down. Because ultimately they want to see it fail if you think maybe teams on trips to like field of dreams when he was in earlier years coaching. He's all about the different sides and binding guys together on the ice and that if you get is connected as a group and the for each other and very process over outcome kind of guy and so you definitely has that charisma that makes them unique. I think the players like that. We'll show you recently. Wrote about how jon cooper has followed perhaps the most unconventional path of any stanley cup winning coach. So take us back to the late. Nineteen ninety s. What was john. Cooper's lifelike at that time he was living in a condo east lansing area couple remains but he was just trying to figure out where you wanted to be in his life. What he wanted to do for work. He was good ball. Charismatic lawyer but his heart wasn't in it always always wondering when is the fulfillment. When are you going to sit there and wake up every day and say. I can't wait to go do what i'm gonna do. He was defender district court in lansing michigan about a thousand dollars a month. You know we're going for indigent clients. He was working on. du is having divorces. You've got a two person law. Office him in a paralegal. He's still didn't know i guess. Were taken at that point. And you got in touch with the judge. Who worked with jon cooper back. Then what did he say about cooper skills in the courtroom and you just notice and how clients clients listen to prosecutors respected him i think is the kind of ability that transcends coaching the ability to persuade players to adopt your system or just believe the approach. So you know. He's he's a good salesman. He always says convincing players. Convincing a jury and i don't think he knew then that it would be kind of the key to him. Maybe starting coaching career. So how did jon cooper go from being this lowly paid lawyer and a former lacrosse player. Who had only played a year of club hockey in college to being high school hockey coach. Well the run in his son playful lansing catholic high school and they needed a coach and so he knew of john skills on the ice and new of his charisma and then he is asked to one day in the building. I saw the coach. would you be interested. He looks at me and goes. Dc the stack of resumes. I have he says. I'll tell you one thing you coach kids high school hockey team and i will take your resume from here. We put it here. Just this exactly. That was his first kind of foray into coaching hockey. Was nine thousand nine hundred nine hundred thousand lansing catholic cougars hockey team and that was seventeen. You actually talked to some of the players on that lansing catholic team. What did they tell you about jon. Cooper the high school coach. I think what's interesting knees. They remember the first meeting in the cafeteria where he's using himself to like twenty kids and parents and those us have just nervous as they were and are waiting to hear whereas the hockey background. Who did he coach before. Because one of the red wings was he part of this huge talk about law school in wall street and this guy another guys were in the nhl players. Even highly college players inducted himself would be anywhere high in coaching world. A reflection of guys play together. I think they'll be the first ones to tell you. None of them really on the track to make the national hockey league but they were such a joy to be around the competed their butts off just line. Who an awkward gesture. The of funny kid and team talked about like there was a hill just a mile from the school that the workouts outside the big hill. The he must've just saw he was driving around and he made us run up this hill with do bear calls and stuff. That is the source. I've ever been my life like. I could not long like off chris. Monrovia now works the red wings. Illitch family talked about how they had this practice where they had no on the ice and they're doing push ups and sit ups and kristin ross. Who served in the military students in afghanistan he goes. I went through the army for seven years. And i went through a lot of work out a lot of hellish days. Afghans dead. That's one of those days that i think back much. It's not as bad as back. And what else did you learn about his coaching philosophy back. Then you know like what were the things that were important to him that he really emphasized to the team. Making guys feel connected or part of it no matter if you were the best player on this team or like the thirteenth forward and i think jeff swan is appropriate examples. Like i wasn't the most natural coordinated like county out now who put me not aligned with the two players. Mike sack out with the most gifted athlete. That are high school in you. The team is better holding. Some of its part. They wanted them to play. Have have meaning and swan. Storing the biggest fools that season the most for player that year. So you know. He's told everyone the most improved player really halls like a special place for him. Something he takes lightly. It was a really really nice compliment. They talked about the hard hat that they gave out. After every win which was an all white instruction half that was something that the player of the game whether at block shot or a big hit or in ceremony the post game. We'll get this production. How they put their name and a sharpie but it was more of a. What did you do to help the team. Really recognizing layers who maybe didn't shop scores sheep but who are just dedicated themselves to helping the team. These success those are moments that came together that they remember forever and become an integral part of their story on a way to winning out like the championship. Well this sort of ragtag bunch of guys did win an unlikely state regional championship in almost mighty ducks kind of way and joe as you talks to all these guys who played for jon. Cooper what connections. Were you able to make between cooper the coach of the lansing catholic cougars and cooper the coach of the stanley. Cup champion tampa bay. Lightning guesswork me. Talking to guys. That new men who've now that he hasn't changed much in terms of his personality he had kind of style which coach's house you through professional level versus coaching. high school. Kids a lot of the same kind of tenants but he had then he still uses today. Kerry that floss with me all the way through the nhl in onto the honestly. It doesn't really change. Human beings are human beings and everybody needs to be motivated. It's just finding the right way to motivate. Rose stood up in my living room and watch the game and cheer tampa. You're welcome. you're welcome for started. His rise

Interview With Jeremy Scott
"Good morning bob. This is nicole phelps. I'm the director of global vogue runway. And i'm here today with jeremy. Scott jeremy on or you. How are you jeremy's mosquito collection and video have been all over social media for the last twenty four hours or so and chances are you've probably seen it andrews christian madsen who is a colleague of mine at vogue runway. Put it this way. I thought this was a great quote. No one has quite aced this digital moment in fashion history. Like jeremy so we have lots of questions about how it all came together. Thank you very much for being here with us. My absolute love all right. Well you know i am. In addition to reviewing some shows all season long. I do a lot of editing. And and i thought anders made some really great observations in your piece and you said some very interesting things which i want to quote here. Which is you said. You use the term comfort sh- mumford and you elaborated to say what we need now. More than ever is fantasy and glamour. And i obviously don't disagree. But i am curious for you to talk to us. About how the way you design and what you design has changed if at all after a year in in lockdown amidst the pandemic. Well i think you know very well watching my work. That i'm a very devout devotee of high octane glamour. Always and so. That part really hasn't changed. I might have put the pedal to the metal a little bit more this season and last but i think what's changed a lot. It's kind of like what we're doing right now. Everything i'm seeing are through screens. I did my fittings through screens through something like this. You know thinking about how the work is seeing. It's all seeing through screen so i'm looking at it already. My work is very Theatrical and very photogenic. And i think of it in a way how would be finally consumed always but now it's almost entirely consumed at this moment via screens. So i've i've been watching it in a different way. So while doing the fittings with my team and milan and they are doing the actual pinning in the actual adjustments for me. And i'm directing it in in a manner like this. I'm watching it in a in a in a way that takes away that that moment of being next to it and there is something i think that does give it a little bit more of remove that makes it a little bit more in a way precise i know sounds kind of weird. Did say it that way. But i don't have the emotional moment of the model in front of me and everything happening live. I'm more dissecting it. 'cause i'm looking at through a screen and i am. I am removed in that respect. So i feel like part has changed and maybe even well i feel. That's a good segue to talk about the the collections last season to refresh people's memory. Jeremy did a fantastic video where he turned models and Front row goers in into marionettes and it was a huge ships are on vogue runway and an across the internet. And what you did this season was you. I would say paid homage to a very famous movie. Called the women from nineteen thirty nine george cougar film and s specific seen so specific fashion show scene. Can you tell us anything about your experience with that movie. Maybe when you saw it for the first time or why are you. Liked it enough to recreate it for this. Absolutely i verify brain to even remember when i could have seen it first. 'cause it's one of things that feels like it's been with me forever. I think any real fashion fan would put this on one of their top. Ten list of you know old hollywood films especially ones that have a fashion show in it. One is really the creme de la creme not only. Is it beautifully done. But also there are the costumes by adrian who is also it's such a icon for so many fashion designers and having done all the most beautiful all hollywood glamorous films and costumes at that time but beyond the costumes i think for me is is really the fact that the film is only women. There's only actresses. There's not one time. There's a a a male actor in the film even with a voice. So i love that because honestly as normal is that maybe should be today. It's still not normal. Hollywood for an all female cast to be able to carry a film and not film doesn't so beautifully now specifically for the scene that was inspired by is the fashion show scene in their out of salon. Which is such an you know. Typical historical fashion kind of scenario. And this was more like the the dressmaker salon. Instead of. maybe the paris couturier and they're coming to choose the their guard the road for the season. I wanted to kind of think about all the things that they would need to wear now again thinking about the time of the film. These ladies did not work. They were not having jobs their characters. Were you know really dependent upon men. So i wanted to start mind with them. As busy businesswomen in takes of the pin stripe suit these kind of business looks that would be putting them in charge. And not you know quibbling about the fact that they're working they're only working you're working for them and they're not working for you
