"Diet. Do you coach your guys up about their nutrition. Yeah yeah so when you talked about podcast episodes that were really impactful stands. Episodes were huge for die because he takes some like really complicated diet stuff and his boils down to something. That's really unintended digestible. For a lot of high school athletes and even not even high school athletes but people who aren't experienced in eating in a way that's gonna feel their performance. And i know you see this all the time they trade hard like. Yeah every day. Puerto officer and then they're going to like jack in the box is just crushing all this junk food which there's a time and place for that but that's not necessarily the best option for you if you're trying to win worlds you know So just i take a lot of stuff. From what stanford. He talks about a ton of stuff At least for me personally right now with what you guys have. All shared about fasting. Cory gregory was also a big resource for me when it came to intermittent fasting and plan around died in high carb diets and low carb diets and things like that but for most of the wrestlers. Was i work with. I just tom like look dude. Red meat easily digestible carbs. Put your carbs around your workouts. If you're getting to fluffing are starting to move out of your way class in. Let's have a different conversation about it for losing weight. Just eat a little bit more. Evil comes from the ground or has a mom no probably going to be okay a lottery me to like us right yes. Are you a guilty. Still pushing things off. You know you're supposed to do something at certain time. And maybe it's even written down and scheduled like get to tomorrow. Yeah yup i think i've had. "No one. No one was saying that to me. Remind myself remount is three two months ago three months ago, when we start talking about these journeys of building something new as so I I've never seen giancana like in his in his mental state. You know what I'm saying? I could just see it on you fill it on you. But it's like I'm in the game space in comparison to when max was when you came back to a high of period of time, you know, what I'm saying that's a whole different mentality. But I can identify because I'm right there what, you know, not not exactly in the same space like the cleats on the field game town off season, you know, real short in two point directed intense. But what a laser focus, you know, what I'm saying. And. You hear you hear the tone? You hear it? But, but that's that's the process though, you know, saying that's why feels like even it was something he was saying, man. That's exactly how feel but I don't think you get away from it. And I think anytime you try and undertake anything else just thinking about like you already have something super success. We're going on. And then you're gonna say, okay. Let me start ground zero in another space, and let me lift this thing that I really don't have to lift up because it really doesn't make a difference rather make a Dom or you know, say are not in to the thinking in that when most thinking is linear when most people think of you know, let me go build a career and just keep on taking graduate steps in. The entrepreneurial thing is let me build something up sell it get it off. And then start all over again and pick something from the ground up that that mentality is not it's not widely. Understood you don't come from. And so. Trying to create something that's not here in space concept brand new different for both of us. Literally. John got parachuted in here. Even though he lived here before boom, no relationships brand new concept. I mean, it's the, but that's the challenge has got lifts for though. And I enjoy you know, and in closing it just makes you it reaffirms everything that I've thought in I believe in I want the listener to take away. When you throw yourself out there. And you know, that you don't know the answer or every answer. And you believe that you will figure it out it out that is living one question. What would you have another way to? No, no, no fucking way. And I only say that because you had it another way and is turned into this to Bill something else. So I asked myself like do we do we yearn for an in a in a sick way money money means nothing to me? I think just personally speaking money means nothing to me. So yeah, I can have it, and I can have it means nothing to me. So it's like, okay. Yeah. Make money too. I I want to be like, okay Dow that's a challenge. It's always a challenge. I want to I want the bigger tougher guy. I want to and it's just to prove to myself. It's not the house with anybody actually me. So so do to challenges put you more on a self discovery space one hundred percent because that's the only way I know how to uncover what I have yet to uncover. That's where all the growth lies as I'm here in like, I'm hearing like the I'm just trying to find like the fundamental stuff because asking questions, but I'm asking questions to him that I asked myself, of course, because I fiend for you know, saying and then it's like AMA fail big win big. But we're gonna find out who yards process. Good stuff man, John when it's time to make our way to Cory Gregory. "Sprint and remember, there are no trading fees. So because there are two of us not three. Unfortunately, I know you guys are sad. You're not going to get a program from today. You're not gonna step into FOSS goes world directly. You will not be taken. To Cory Gregory time. But we promise you. We'll do one up. We will bring you a fire main event and the main event starts now. So mo- when I first brought up reading between the lines to you. And how it applies to business and how it applies to life. Give the listener a little idea of what struck you first. Okay. What struck me? I when you said it. I thought about the recent book that I listened to all right value and our rate, obviously ram Bridgewater, which is one of the largest hedge funds, I guess ever in the world. And one thing he talked about was having hard conversations fats, and a think that that is kind of like people's inability to have a har- conversations as as sort of to hide what they really want to talk about our there intimidation of talking about what they really want to talk about when they're basically going back and forth with somebody where they're talk business rather just talking about the that the relationships are whatever it may be I think that that hit an element of not being able to have heart. Our stations FAZ is what requires you to basically listen to us not being spoken between two people. And I just thought to myself, you know, when I when I spoke yesterday about a guy recently approached me about getting into into business with him. Right. And when a guy was getting aren't talking about getting into business with him. He kept on talking about the the highlights of his business in all of the. Accolades, and all of the reasons why be with him and how great and sophisticated in. And then how beautiful as business was. But what he wasn't saying of the hardest was about his failures numbers that he wasn't talking about. And there was information that I was pertinent that. He basically wasn't flushing out. A when I kind of get there from basically me sort of paying attention to what wasn't spoken, and I wouldn't basically listen to his body language. Of course. I kinda got the answers. I was looking for and being as you brought it up again think about hey, that's the way that do everything, you know, typically with somebody says to me a fake just kinda like entertainment and jousting between two people going back and forth. But I always get the storyline at my head of what somebody is really saying to me. And that's basically what comes up, and you know, and put pass it back to you just let you voted. Well, you go ahead. No. I mean, I think you you strike on a great point that connects to this. We're gonna go in a lot of different directions. But so reading between the lines, right? So it sounds like you had a situation. And I know I've been in these situations where everyone's heard this this statement, right? If it sounds too good to be true. It is. So any listener if anybody has been faced with a situation like MO or situations like I've been faced with where somebody is describing a scenario that sounds so beneficial that sounds so fantastic. That sounds so profitable. You have to ask yourself. What aren't they saying? Why why am I I always run this? Why am I so special? What makes John Fosko so special that you wanna bring this opportunity that only apparently has upside to me what? Why have I won the lottery of.

"What makes me that guy and the answer in ninety nine percent of the situations is nothing I'm not special. I'm not that guy. I am a nother potential shocker because what a lot of people do especially in business because there's sharks everywhere is they prey on people on this episode. Don't hear Cory Gregory's voice. We lost our man for this show something unfortunately came up, but me and low proves the show must go on. And we get into an epic. Conversation. The conversation that you would expect from Mr. POSCO, and Mr. chloride, we go into sizing up. Reading between the lines in business, and basically how you commit to excellent. Is that right? Multi billion serves we're gonna talk about how you excellent we're going to talk about do want is a reading between the lines with before we dive into just I think the imports of character and all our ties together. I think it's a great listen clock. How long has taken whatever. Listen, absolutely. Let's let's roll to the show, buddy. Go what's up everybody? And welcome to another episode of business and biceps, and you better wake the fuck up because me in my man MAURICE claret are bringing heat today. You're probably thinking what the hell is going on. I didn't hear the normal intro. I didn't hear my man. Cory gregory. Well, unfortunately, something popped up for Corey. And he couldn't make the show. "Have to audible, you have to make a fucking u-turn, and you have to reevaluate how you set up your day because how you set up your day is how you keep yourself motivated and focused towards the goal at hand. I don't know how you see it Corey. But to me, it involves structure and structure, then connects with motivation because if you're wandering aimlessly how the hell can you stay motivated if you don't know where the? Fuck you are. Yeah. I definitely think there's a massive amount of a structure that needs to be put into it. That is unique to you. And whatever you feel like keep you moving. I think the other thing is is that there's a difference. There's extra Nick or right and intrinsic, right? There's the internal motivation in stuff that from others. And so you might listen to the podcast, and it could motivate you, right? But you can't like what we say Hian help you with tolls and tactics, and maybe motivate you, but I can't motivate you for twenty four hours a day. John camp, motivates you twenty four hours a day right in done done this for years. There's certain things that I would go to that. Would give me almost like a I think about it like this. Right. Whenever you get you. When I go to start a fire at my house. I got these starter logs. Right. Well, they just kinda speed it up and get moving. But you're still in charge of putting the stuff on the fire to continue to make it go. Right. So I think there's things that you can use to kind of get you moving but the end of the day. Day. You still gotta have something that's deep inside of you that no one else knows really how important is. They can't they can't decide it for you. They can't make it up. It's it's literally unique to every person that what actually like I talk about moving. The actually moves the needle for John Fosko or Cory, Gregory when it really comes down to the nitty gritty pushed shove, this is what we gotta do because I want this to happen. Those things that's what you have to rely on in no matter what level my careers that. Those things are always present in. And I think that you have to draw on them in the times that when it is really hard. And that's where a lot of people fall apart is I don't know if they have not identified what they are or they don't have them out lined, and they don't have a structure around it. And so what I do is. I have certain things that can start that flame. And then I know the things to rely on in. In that kind of gets me on my way. But you've got to have a little bit of both. I think so. Yeah. But yeah, I think using a show like this or using whatever material you use as your fire starter right to to to to start that motivation that is fucking great. But listen business and biceps or anybody in the world Tony Robbins, they cannot carry youth through a day..

"My garage just bought this new Lamborghini here funded drive up here in the Hollywood hills. And you really create this rat race for yourself because. You have bought into a lot. As you've created almost the same point. Reset you pay one hundred thousand one hundred dollars to get ten thousand friends are followers or whatever it may be and out is cared more for the welfare of the person or person may not be aware that that's the problem that create foot of sales. You know, what I'm saying like, so if you have to pose like, you're rich audit time to others required. Are put a a bins online rose, Royce Jaguar Ferrari, whatever it may be when people see me a person, rather that's matter. Not I have to check that. You know what I'm saying? Then what happens is that just makes me sick. And then I have to come this cool person over and over again that I probably can't afford to be you live in throughout online in person line yourself all over but was sort of foundation is a house of cards. You know, say, and I think that we're talking about the same just from different perspectives. But is building your life on a house of cards and. Hoping that somebody doesn't poke a hole are hoping that this thing becomes so normal to everybody else that hey, it doesn't matter from living his life and mo- it's going to break down. That's the point. It's going to break down some days. So if you're one of those people, absolutely sure everything into how many followers you have. And how many likes at some let's say you're twenty five years old. At thirty five years old, this this thing you've spent so much time building up, which is not a real thing. It's a goddamn app is going to fade away or its importance in your life is going to fade away. And you spent ten years putting your everything into it. What what what does it all mean? What is it all worth not? I'll say this Jonathan I think, well, I think we've done the younger generation, a huge injustice to believe that success is easily obtainable. And I think the best would the online community does even if you're talking about success from vanity standpoint, just like the cars materialism stuff, you know, if we really think about it, you know, even the MTV cribs days that was usually attained by certain population of people who had done something that you could quantify you can say, okay, this Gaza rapper skater entertainer of some sorts. And and even even though they had these lavish things everybody still knew you had to have like a special gift, you know, saying to yet to be elite at something something, right? So now, we have this mentality that you wake up and get a bunch of followers. You can almost project that you live that way. But to your point to his point like after a while fuck, you know, ten years. Ago by from twenty six to thirty five you've been bullshitting, and it has time to live a regular live your life. Your life was built on the house of cards, and like that's reality. People will have to deal with you know, and that's the harder thing. And I guess I don't know if this is preventative conversation. I don't know if this is just an awareness conversation. But fuck, I definitely feel you and out double down on, you know. Yeah, I think it's well said John, I think both points are great. And I'm glad you brought it up. Yeah. Yeah. I ended the day. Like, I'm close it. Like, I opened it just no nobody gives a fuck. How many followers you have? Or how many likes you get? Nobody cares. And it's never gonna matter. So with that being said, let's make our way to Cory Gregory time. It's motivation time brought to you by.

"What it is. Because a dream of where you maybe want to go with your life, or your profession or whatever it is. Right. Whatever thoughts pops in your head that you want to do with yourself. It's usually if it's if it's. If it's not I guess there's no pressure from anyone else. It's true thought it could has no ceiling to it. Right. And what Kobe was saying was a lot of people grab it and then start to put limitations on immediately because Sidey in responsibilities on it like well, man, if I like for his case, I want to be the best basketball player of all time. Well, Jordan, just you retired. And he's at grade number to be on the Lakers wilt was this. And magic was that. Like, he said, not putting a responsibility in in putting the path that you know, you can get to because the unseen is. Where is where all the magic set. Meaning like not Magic Johnson. But the magic of this point is that where whenever you're you don't have to determine path to it. That's where you can go to great lengths. And what he was saying is when you put responsibility on your dreams, that's almost like you saying, oh, I know how many get there. So the. That's the Seidel pressure in it's gonna limit where you really truly can get because you can't really see the full path to get all the way to the most unlimited potential want for yourself. You never can. So I think that the point I was trying to make is that when you're actually just thinking to yourself, which we talked about another episode a lot of people don't do. But I challenge you to do this literally take your headphones out. Don't have your phone what when you just don't have any extra stimuli. What does come into your brain? That says like what if in in what if you know in how do you see yourself, and then don't put society people's pressures responsibility. Like let it just flow and let it be a free thinking moment or moments and then see like, okay. What is the starting path to that point? Because it's you're never going to have the full path. There is I sit here, and I tell you absolutely zero I've could have like late my process to this point of my life. Maybe there's there's been no one can know. So the fact that you're trying to fucking stupid because it's possible that entry point in the end point, if you're truly about your fucking dream, it's impossible to fucking dictate it use gonna take you so many different ways so many detours. So it's just it's just what there isn't. And so in the finish line continues to push up, right? There is no point. So you up or die in? So I think it's one of those things where I liked the point because it just made sense the way delivered it, and I'm hoping people can grab that whatever you is really that dream whatever John Fosko sees himself as whatever Cory Gregory, never MAURICE in you listener, sear self doing as or. Hope to be. That's what it is. Don't just suppress it because of somebody else's thoughts or feelings or society like like go after truly and just know that the path is not there, you got to take a machete out, and you got to fuck in wack your way through the fucking jungle. That's what it is. So I think when you talk about Kobe Bryant saying like in this brings I think the three of us can relate to this. Right. I think Kobe Bryant being a representation of people who want to really get it at a high level. I think that's where the healthy ego comes in. And basically, you have to have this once you decide on a path, right? Kobe Bryant assigning on basketball deciding on business, you guys deciding on your pass, you have to have.

"Entitled to your money. I told you was about the do. Who's a funny thing here? So here. So John this right. So imagine somebody here calls off at the office hypothetical situation, the real situation, and I don't think ever happened here, by the way anybody's ever called off. But. So it's not about. Good. So somebody calls off and another person. Hey, you know, these people who are responsible for three focuses. Now, we have to right, that's like themselves. Like, hey, I know these orders have to go out, and I notice work has to be done. But the other person isn't here. So I'm not to pick up the slack. So so that's what she said to me. And I say I got a sale you to the point that you have to do something because somebody like legitimately had to call off. And I said this is just not a right fit. And so one thing found very classy, even when you don't want to be classy with breakouts. Hey, you know, so good a workout. Hey. You know, what I was thinking back on here like this contradicts everything live. Which which saying we talk about it on this podcast lot, very important is I am not a member of the team. If I was a member of the team, of course, I would pick up the slack. What what are the team member? Do that by definition? That's what team is she saying? I am on the me program. This thought sparked from Tel mo- when we first walked in studio hob and studying Kobe Bryant a lot lately. And I don't know if it's so I graduated in ninety seven I believe Koby graduate ninety six ninety second. Yeah. So he came in. So he's like one year old of the MIR whatever's never really for some reason that grew up watching Jordan like the rest of us. I never really followed Koby allot. It wasn't a huge people have Jordan hangover Corey. Yeah. I agree. I agree with that John. He was so great because I grew up every Saturday, right? Every Saturday watching her Sunday watching the NBA in so pumped, everything Jordan Koby came in as great as he was kind of ethic. Maybe in our generation got Passover little bit. So anyway, so I'm kind of flipped back him in studying Koby and. Unbelievably impressed, obviously, a major champion is is mentality is awesome. One of the things that he said in an interview at USC in in our take my point was he talked about how people start to put responsibility around their dreams, but not actually just let their dream be-..

"To deal with this stuff. I notice this call business and biceps, but I don't care fucking life. Is core. I think it right in his life and everything that we're doing what in a we seen a oppose yesterday about a class at the university of Maryland. And they they're they're opening up a discussion for white kids who are on campus. Who are they're trying to teach these kids like to have an anti-racism sort of outlook on what's going on America. So if you're hosting counseling classes on college campuses that is somebody with a level of awareness, light, iota shit is everywhere. And and how do I? Karaz? What I see? How do I how do I for my opinion, is my opinion valid and just may be people who are white. I may be uncomfortable talking about this because rather the sense of guilt or whether they feel like they was raised differently or other. They just don't know. And just having a platform to be able to discuss it. I believe is healthy because you can only change when you change your perspective. And you change your perspective from new information. And he said, oh, you never thought about that. Oh, I never thought about this. And I just believe that that is degraded gift like I drove an hour here. You know what I'm saying? I think that is the greatest gift we can give to people would be talking about business talking about culture life. Anything is to give them the truth as we see it. And if the guy up, you know, Dr shrimp, excuse me, shrimp, Puerto Rico came back with intelligent dialogue. You know? But when you come with hammers. Nobody wants to listen to you when you you wanna come with that stuff? Nobody wants to listen to you. But when we start to take the sting on the road out, we happily open to have dialogue people based on facts. Facts. So I I know we went a little a little further than expected. But while Jim thank you. And and the space will be protected and that goes for everybody listening, and I don't want people to get it twisted because I love an appreciate everybody who listens. But we do not give a fuck if you listen if you wanna come at us with that heat. So let's chill out a little bit. And let let's let's make our way to Cory Gregory time. It's motivation time.
