And Ellen Degeneres is new podcast. Los angeles. Poker. Bravery. Famous. Perez hilton. Hey, guys. Welcome to the PHP Booker. He's feroze. What is going on? How are you man? I I just cannot even remember the last relaxing weekend. I had this weekend was a good one. It was a great one actually because I went to Atlanta to film while than how I didn't realize you're out of town when you did that I had no idea when you text me I thought you were here in LA. I wish that would have made things so much easier. You must be exhausted. Well, thankfully, I did not take the Red Eye which I was contemplating. But, you know, the concept of that show while out it's like a disco like your momma jokes arrose, basically. But in game for him. And I told myself you need to be on your game you need to at least get seven hours of sleep in a bed. If you're going to do that show. So. Right. I left Friday at three. And I got there like midnight on Friday night. I got some rest. I did that show. It was great. I was back on a plane Saturday night. And totally you know, it was like a full-on cheat day, I got into the lounge for the airline just eating they had this thing. And delta were like they had mound of cheese like some fancy cheese. They so even sell give. So I was eating all this cheese and croutons and a couple of drinks. And what have I got back? And of course, I did not have a relaxing Sunday Sunday. I took my kids to this place called glows zone. It was great. It was super fun. And now it's Monday when we're recording this, and I am beat my weekend was pretty simple. I went to sushi on Friday night Saturday night. I stated yesterday, I plead my gutter. So there's my weekend in a nutshell. When was the last time he got into a fight with your girlfriend? I don't think we've ever really gotten into a fight. There have been a couple of times when I'll get fed up because she'll be on her phone, and I can't get her attention. 'cause she's like you. She's constantly on that damn thing for work. Well, that's her job. I know, but it'll be my time. And I'm like, it's my time. But most of the time, I don't even mind. I just let her go on Dur thing. But and I say fight it's me getting sort of upset like, hey, you're not really being a participant in this relationship. I don't really feel like your present. When you're with me sometimes, and it's a lot of that. But it's never fight. We've never she doesn't engage with me when I'm being an asshole. She's got a really great neck at it. Only girl I've ever dated that has that neck to ignore me. And then I just I go whatever and I'm done with it. And that's the end of it. But we don't really ever fight fight. Well, that's good. Actually that made me think of something. I did today. I was a guest on this Republican. That couldn't it went. Well, Tucker Carlson has this network or website? Or even know what the heck it was. You know, me I'm a promo hor I'll say like, whatever, I'll do it anyways so much to get to all of calls this week. Oh, I wanna take more calls than we normally do this week. Because there are so many good calls. You told me so many great great calls from last week. I don't wanna blow it. We'll save it till the end, but very good stuff on two separate topic about last week. So that'll be really good to get to. All right. Well, one of them is my sister. And I have some updates that wait for that. Yes. We'll get to it. We'll we'll start off with that. But I, you know, if you watched my video that I made this past Sunday where I was a dork, and I had a Santa hat on. I also. It on this shawl that I got from my fab fit fun bucks that I am obsessed with real love shawls. And who else loves shawls true story? Google it Jennifer Aniston, you see her epi airport nine times out of ten. She'll have a show on. I just feel safe with my shoal, not just warm. I feel like it's a protective blanket. And there was so many other great things in my fab fit fund bucks. I'm sure you guys are familiar with fab fit fun. If you're not all my gosh. The PHP is going to hook you up. They are basically v best subscription box out there with such a variety of products. That's what I love about fab fit fun. It's not just all of the same. Like, the shawl you are covered with everything lifestyle. You need with fat fit fun. It retails for forty nine ninety nine but has a value of over two hundred dollars their most recent winter box. Oh, my girlfriend was jumping up and down for that box. Pres-? I didn't even get to open it. I came home in the boxes Lang on the floor is empty. I said I didn't even get to see the presentation. She didn't care. She was going through it. She there's these high these socks in it. Yeah. A little socks God. She they're so sexy, by the way, she wore with these black workout pants. Look, really good. And then she got a thing for around her head. What would you call that like a headband or a some sort of like have had? I don't wanna blow the box, but the box is awesome. She loves it. Honestly, the Schaal is worth at all. And if you go to fab fit fund dot com and use promo code Peres. You'll get ten dollars off your first box. That's fit fund dot com. Promo code Peres for ten. Ten dollars off. Let's just start off with you Booker me me. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Last week after all the drama with my sister. I was like, wow. A lot of people have strong feelings about this. You should talk about your life more. And what was your response to me? I don't recall. Well, it was my response or you probably like it was probably like hell the goal set. Like, I like having mystery to me I like Mr. like being mysterious. Nobody cares about me. They come for you. If I'd have good story. I'll share it with everybody. It's not like I'm holding out. Are you really that boring? You have you basically you told me about thing of your last clean my gutters yesterday. Okay. That's how boring I tried to get something out of you. When was the last time he got into a fight with your girlfriend, nothing nothing. But that's true. That's honest. We don't really find. All right. Let's get to my sister. She's on a cruise right now. So she probably won't listen to this. Maybe she will listen to this the second. It comes down. She has a signal who the hell are you fooling? They don't have good reception on self on finding. Show fine to all right. So I you know, I always liked to recap. Even though Booker finds it annoying. But last week we don't have to it's a podcast people follow along. I'll do it really quickly because I like to recap last week on the podcast. I mentioned how I felt hurt. And snubbed by my sister at her wedding because she chose me to be a groomsmen like any other groomsman, but didn't have me say speech, or even a small, toast or even half a dance with her in the dance sections. So I spoke about on the podcast, and there's so much. I want to say, and you know, how my brain works. I don't remember half the shit. I said last week. If I did not say this last week now that I've had a week to think about things of reflection. Would you like to apologize a week to let it all sink in as well? I think the reason I felt so hurt. Was because to me I feel like it put me in my place. It lets me know where I stand with my sister. And I don't remember if we went into it and detailer not last week, but you know, my sister, and I have an age difference a six and a half year age gap matters. You know, it's not like we're two years apart a year and a half apart or even less. So we never grew up playing together. We never grew up that close having said that and I said this last week if I would have been married before her even though we're not close, I still love my sister. And I would have still had a special moment for my sister. And it wasn't even about me. I also thought it was lame that neither my mom, nor the groom's mom gave a small toast or spoke at the wedding. It was for me. It's not your wedding. How could you say it's lame? That's what they. Wanted. I get that. I get that. But it never really sounds like you did get that's the point. It's like end of story. Right there. Get it. That's why before that. That's why the for the wedding. I never once said anything or asked any questions, I let her planet and have it the however she wanted. Okay. So I don't know. I feel very sad that my sist- because it seems clear to me that if my sister cared about me more or cared about me as much as I care about her. She would have done something small from me my wedding. I didn't need I didn't want it to be about me. I didn't need a big moment or anything literally a sixty second or less, toast or half a dance with her. That's what you wanted. But it's not what she wanted. And that's not what her husband wanted. And they didn't they wanted to do something maybe a little quicker and get to the point. And they didn't feel like rushing through every member of the family. It's not like other family members got to do it. Nobody did it's it's what they wanted. It should be end of story. And you included you're part of the party your sister. Of course emailed me. And you I we were both there on the chain. And she explained to me what indeed really happened is opposed to what you claim happened. She she said it was it was only one difference. She said that you sat of the I know I know this is correct. I wasn't even there. And I know this is correct. Because I know you you sat in the corner on your phone. Hold on true. You're not engage. But that's how you are in most situations. I mean, I've lived with you for a couple of days. That's how you kind of opera not in this situation. I believe you. I don't believe you. I've seen you it enough situations your world to me. This is my perspective your world to me is a place that happens when you're looking down and you're looking into your phone, and you are participant in that world. And you're a full participant in that world all of the time. Like, your gauged it at twenty four seven and even this wedding. This is your only way to engage in that wedding or engage in something or be present in something. That's really real you made it a part of this phone world that you're living. It you made it a video won't put it on your podcast. You didn't call her finish. You didn't call her. You didn't say you're upset. You didn't share your feelings? You just lashed out which I kind of think is unfair. Oh, no. I totally own it. I did what week to hurt her straight up. I wanted to hurt her. I was hurt I owned that. And I and also because and I may have said this last week because I didn't care at that point. I didn't care about making things better. Because what was the point what's the point in making? Well, when I text after the show, and you, and I we talked and I was like, listen, I just call your sister. So why don't you just try talking to her and saying and just leaving it like this like, hey, look, my feelings were hurt. I didn't mean it. Maybe it did. I don't know. But my feelings were hurt. And you're like, no, I know her so well, shedding, you know, what she's listening now. I would love to go to therapy with her not just about this. But about larger issues, here's what I'm going to tell you. What are they gonna tell me talk to each other? You don't need a therapist in the middle of you to pick up the phone and say, hey, says, hey this bothered me. The other day has wanted to let you know, you don't need to spend any money for therapist to tell you that. I can tell you that for free. All you need to do talk to your sister. She's not as crazy as you. Oh, yes. She is, you know, her as well as I do, of course, I don't, but she's nowhere near as crazy as you. I know that crazier. She is valid wanna I wanna get into too much detail because she's private that is another good point. You know, she purposefully does not. Engage in these videos with you. She doesn't want to be a part of that Peress Hilton online life. She already works behind the scenes added. She's you know, she kind of made a decision. She's like that Osborn kid that was like, I don't wanna be on the Osborne's. That's her. She doesn't she doesn't want to participate. It's not her thing. So it's not an thing. Great. She also said that you did not pay for third of the wedding. It was more like a sixth of the wedding. Yeah. Well, I still think even if I paid for dear, oh, I should have done something not substantial at something more substantial than what I did. I'm just blown away that you know, you hurt your sister's feelings, but you don't care she hurt mind to she doesn't care either. She cares because she emailed you back. She at least responded to something that you said, you just lashed out through your show you to call her and say, hey, like, I said, I'm sorry this way. But the point why would I it's called human connection? That's the point. She got him sister. You've only got I wasn't trying to make. Things. What what was she going to? I didn't want her to say or do anything at that point. She said which she chose what she wanted. And she did what she wanted to do. I just don't think she did anything that was so hurtful, but your feelings are your feelings, and they're valid. A lot of data. Agreed with me a lot damn at least two people on Twitter agreed with you. At least even my mom did. But my mom would never took you late that public. L? Listen, I always say this. And I said it to your sister. And I'll say it to you. There are two sides to every story. And they're always are everybody sees the world differently. They see it how they want to see it. It was also all her reasons were bullshit. Okay. She's a bucket was seven points. Every single one of them was bullshit. Oh, that's how you listen in bullet points. Well, all right. Well, I don't need to read them verbatim. Because I already did that in an Email, and I did that in an Email video. Yeah. I didn't video the reason. I did that in video is because I wanted to quote her I didn't want to misquote her. But now that I've gotten that out there. She basically said that she didn't want to have me speak or anybody really outside of the the the maid of honor and the best man because she wanted to move things along quicker, right? She wanted to get to the party that was her point. She was like I want to get to the party. She doesn't want the span there were all these other way. That's great. I would love to go to more weddings like that. I'm tired of speeches and listening to people. I don't care about. I just wanna get drunk and go, eat and dance. And I think that's kind of what she wants. I get that. I mean, I view it as like, okay, gosh, you know, the the garter toss which is stupid is means more to my sister than me making a thirty. Second toast. Or okay, or whatever she could have other things or she could have. Specifically just told me keep it thirty seconds or sixty seconds make it, and you know. That my feelings hurt. And also, I think my mom's feelings were hurt too. And I'm sure I can't speak for her. Do putting words that are. I know my mom's feelings were. I know my mom wanted would've lights spoken, and I'm but she wasn't asked. And just like me, my mom, and I are very similar C ahead of time. Did not say am. I speaking at your wedding or not we wanted to let her do whatever she wanted. And she did. Well, I felt blindsided. I felt I don't know. I felt all of those things. Well, there is one thing don't blow it because you may blow it just by me bringing this up. But he did say something dip arrest said something to me immediately via text, and I was like, well, that's interesting. And then you callers, this is a little promotion to the end of the show. Many many many callers echoed exactly what he said to me. So we'll get to that at the end of the show. But right now I wanted to tell us about daily harvest. All right. Well, daily are. Vist? I wish I had it with me when I was in Atlanta this weekend because I would have had a cheap her Fe or I would have had one of their yummy soups or one of their yummy salads like the beaten avocado poke salad or the broccoli and cheese salad. They had cheese as well. At daily harvest daily. Harvests sends you fresh frozen organic fruits and vegetables to recklessly to your door. All you have to do. Mokoto Peres to get three cups for free daily dash harvest dot com. As daily dash harvest dot com. All right. You know, I'm happy because the beginning of the podcast was so light. But there's so much heaviness. That's happened. Over the last week. Let's start off with having this just from today Stanley passed away. But you know, it's not the end of the world because the guy was ninety five years old Marvin homage legend one interesting thing, which is maybe a way to lighten up this actor Armie hammer sent out a really interesting tweet in response to Armie hammer response to Stanley's death Armie hammer said so touched by all of the celebrities. Posting pictures of themselves with STAN Lee, no better way to commemorate an absolute legend than putting up a picture of yourself. I almost tweeted that exact thing today you serious. I got so tired of seeing my time. Time line. I was like Stanley died quickly. Let's all running find a picture of me with Stanley someone that's now deceased it's not really honoring them. It's saying look at me. I was with him before. It's it always seems odd to me when when people do that, and the more you see it on social media now, it's almost a little revolting. And I almost tweeted it, and I was like, nah, someone at work will bitch, and someone will say that, you know, not whatever. So I didn't say that. But that's funny that he he sent that out. I like that sentiment because I too am tired of I think that's lame of him to have tweeted that because people that are posting their photos of him. Most of them knew him, the ones that I saw social media. I mean, of course, maybe there were randoms that saw him at a comic con or this or that or the other but celebrities that posted their photos of him, most of them had a story share a relationship that while and some of them worked with him. Yeah. I'm just talking about the pecker heads that. I know that. Walked up to him and took a picture. It just seems odd to me the more that I see it and I get your celebrating. And you wanna be a part of it. I understand the whole thing. But it does bother me view it like, wow, this guy touched so many lives. This guy matter to so many people that all of these people wanted to take their photo with him, you know, people process death differently. And I think for me because I've never I didn't know Stanley or any, you know, I loved his movies like anybody else. I love the marvel universe. But I don't know. It's the first thing that I thought in maybe it's just because of the saturation of social media. I'm feeling that way. Because there's all these people that are like look at me, look and meet with this person. And you see it over and over and something starting to bug me about it. You know, it could be a rational. I don't know. But I do understand his sentiment because I thought the same thing. Exact same thing hater. Maybe there was that. And then I'll gosh, I it feels like twenty nineteen already. I feel like just in the last month for weeks Tober through November with gun through so much since our last podcast came out. There was the awful tragedy in Thousand Oaks which affected a lot of people in the community people. You know, a lot of them work in Los Angeles and live and Thousand Oaks, it's a little bit of a commute. But it's not that far too. Couple of towns away for me. Yeah. The niece of Tamara power Maori from the the real passed away their Ashton Kutcher revealed earlier this year, he had his birthday party. There could have been anybody, really. And it's awful, and I don't even like drawing too much attention to the killer. But I did read and this person. Was posting to social media as he was doing this. And the things he was saying he was saying that he he knew people were going to say that he had mental health issues or mental illness, and he is saying that he didn't and that he was bored with life. It makes me think that's maybe the case a lot of time. I don't know. I'm really worried about the future because of social media. Well, this stuff started happening even before social media. I know, but it is amped up to a level. Now that is just getting worse. And I really think it has to do with not feeling like you're part of something or seeing other people's lives. And and there's a depression that comes around people when they look at other people, and they constantly surveying other people's lives. There's something to that. I know it just from myself think back up a conversation things like me seeing all of these people that don't know Stanley that never knew him not the celebrities, but people that never knew impost these pictures. It bothers me something like that wouldn't. Have bothered me before. But I think it's just compounded. Because all of the look at me look at me look at me look at me look at me that we're seeing constantly online. And I think there's something to that. That's all I'm saying. And I just think it's going to get worse. I guess I mean, it's been getting worse. I don't know if I would attributed to social media. I wouldn't say all of it. I would just say there's an element. I mean. Yeah. There could be an element to anything that can contribute to it. You know, the media itself, not even so media could just be the media. It could be true. It could be politic could be variety, and it is politics. He he even it's weird. It seemed like the evil monster was an anti-gun person. It almost seemed that way from what he said, I don't remember exactly what he said. But he said he almost laughed at knowing that after this atrocity committed that there wasn't going to be anything done about it even mocked prayers. Whatever it was. Yeah. I mean anyways. And then that have and then days after that happened. The fires in that same area. Fires and Thousand Oaks fires all over the valley. Fires in Malibu and. It just it's. I'm so bummed about life right now, not deprive them to not depressed. I just bummed. I was bummed all day. I was just thinking about all the animals have lost their homes, and then have died and got backed into corners and died in a fire and the animals out at the Malibu, winery and Stanley, the derive. Yeah. It's really really depressing. And I was depressed all day about it. I couldn't shake it off at work because I'm in a room by myself, and I couldn't articulate it. But oddly enough sitting here talking with you is the best I felt all day talking about regular stuff and having conversation. And I think when people when you have one on one conversation with people some of this stuff may be lifts off of you. And maybe this gunman or other gunman. They just didn't have other people. They didn't have interaction. So back again to online again this world that doesn't really exist. It's it's not real. I just think it has something to do with it. You know, podcast listener friends Booker told me this past week. He called. Me his girlfriend. Press called me an old man or something like that. And I called girlfriend. I attempting out of the kindness to something I was teaching him how to use Instagram story. So he re posted an Instagram story that is radio station posted which is kind of like a re tweet for Instagram. But it's not which I thought that exactly what I was doing. But I didn't do something else. There's another step. Well, right. He was expecting his his Instagram story viewers to be able to swipe up if the original Instagram story had a swipe and I told him. No. If you want your story to swipe up you have to include the link yourself as well did not know that now. Yeah. No. Then he said he said, you know, and it was nice. Honestly, he was he's being honest. It was very nice of him to tell me that. And he's like, you know, doesn't your girlfriend working social media, shouldn't she be helping you at this. I've had that complaint with her. And I've said that to her I go, how can you? Let me do this. This stuff so wrong. This is what you do all day when it goes back to our initial conversation that you asked me at the top and say, she wouldn't if I would ask her more. She would correct. But it goes back to the first conversation of our show about us getting into a fight any time that I can get her off of that phone if it had even if it has to do with not dealing with me, I'll take it. 'cause she's always on it. So I don't bother her too much with it. And as soon as I said what you had pointed out. She goes. Yeah. You need to copy. She knew she said exactly what you said. I was like, well, my real girlfriend helped me do not. Which she took zero fence too, by the way. Anyways. So yeah, the fires and it saddens me in this online world to see so many people how they chose to respond to the fires specifically the ones in Malibu, which have I understand been getting probably more attention than they should because there's been even more devastation in northern California. This one city called paradise is pretty much decimated. Destroy a lot of life lost over twenty eight deaths. Total last I read and still over two hundred unaccounted for missing. So who knows what what's going to ultimately pan out? But yes, celebrities and rich people have the means and access to fire insurance home in. Durance? They can stay at hotels they can rebuild easier. And all of that, I get that. But this sucks for anybody rich or not, and we should have empathy for everybody. So what were you getting at that people online aren't yet? See, I didn't know. Oh, yeah. They're not having any empathy for the celebrities that have lost homes. Well, that's not fair. It's their home. It's their life. Adlass said, I would have more empathy for the non rich and the non famous, but I'm still going to have empathy for the rich and famous that this happened to sucks for every the end of the day were all frigging human, and it sucks for anyone as you said. So that's and speaking of the celebrities there were many that lost their homes. Neil young lost his home. Gerard butler? Lost his home Camille grammer from the real high swabs of Beverly Hills, lost her home Miley Cyrus lost her home, which she. Really spent a long time making it her dream house. She even built a recording studio there where she recorded her most recent album where she wrote a song about this place Malibu. But she's got good perspective. And she had a lot of animals and thankfully, her animals are safe, and she's safe and Liam is safe. And it is what it is it sucks, and thankfully, you know, locally, at least it could have been worse. It wasn't. And there are some little miracles like Caitlyn jenner's house was reported to have been destroyed. But then we found out that it was a false report. Oh, really probably Caitlyn. Jenner herself initially reported that it burned out Ben. She's Parker Nash. You know? I mean, you know, what she may have been told it was she had shoes. She evacuated may somebody may have told her her house burned down, and then and then wanted to leak the story. They get pressed then oh, my house did not burn down. Well, actually, speaking of the Kardashians. Kim in Konya did something interesting that I wanna talk about. But I almost have to go poop, but I'm gonna wait till after the podcast, and I'm so thankful actually I'm being super serious right now. I love my blahdy potties so much. I would love for the Squatty potty people to send me another one for my guest bathroom because they only sent me one for me, and I want everybody who comes take a shit in my house to take a shit as well as quick. Quick quick 'cause it falls out with this. Is a magic contraption. It speeds up and simplifies process and as all of that were not good enough. It's more than good enough. Squatty? Potty also sends you some magical fragrances to make the whole experience as enjoyable as possible. Just go to Squatty potty dot com slash podcast for fifteen percent off your purchase of Squatty potty for a better poop, I love that tagline. All right. Speaking of the fires and Kim in Conway, I have a feeling that tomorrow. This initial report may be proven untrue because it seems so outlandish according to TMZ which has been wrong a lot lately. Kin and Kami hired off duty firefighters to. To protect their house and their whole little on Clave of the houses around it is. I just think and imagine like every single firefighter would have had to be working. Yeah. I can't imagine there such a thing as an off duty fireman during this sort of. I know maybe they hired some people that were willing to go out there and to do that kind of job in stand out there with the hoses may. But I can't imagine they were actual firefighters unless they flew him in. Or maybe they were maybe they were retired firefighters that could be a possibility, but kind. Yeah, I love to find out if that's true, but they took they took an action in that vein hired people to protect their property and it worked. So you know, if you have the money, I would do it to speaking of comu- west Lord has. Has called him out for stealing from her. And what's funny is before she even did it. I straight up set it to Konya performed at this festival here in Los Angeles this weekend with. Who did he do it with? It was Connie could county kids. She goes and post Malone, and it was a whole today festival camp. Flog gnaw is that Tyler the creator festival. Yes. Okay. How wild that? He's got his own festival. Two days Dodger Stadium when these tickets were going for thousands of dollars. Crazy how much money the raking from this. And I heard the merch line was three hours long everything soda crazy in that performance with kick Cutty, Connie and him performed in this rectangular box. And the instant that I saw it. I was like, wow. That looks almost identical to the box that Lord used when I saw her in the melodrama tour. Did you go see that tour? She did that Coachella. So I saw the box Coachella. Yeah. Connie must have seen it. So Lord saw commies performance. And she. Took to Instagram story to post several photos from her tour with the rectangular flying box and made sure to put the date on it March, April yeti Atta and then the last photo she said, I'm proud of the work. I do and it's flattering when other artists feel inspired by it to the extent that they choose to try it on themselves, but don't steal not from women or anyone else not in two thousand eighteen or ever having. That's what music's all about Allsteel for each other. Right. I just would have done it in a different way. I mean do a dome con-. Yeah. Like if you think about Connie's last tour, he sort of did the box without the walls already. He had the floating stage in the middle of the arena and that was before Lord's tour. So the only thing they added were. Walls to it. So it's not that like this is new for him. And when him and Jay z performed they both performed it. Opposite ends of those boxes you weren't in the box. But he was on top of the box the boxes that went up and down. So it's not like boxes in Konya a foreign thing that it's something that he's done before in the past. But that box is exactly like lords box. You're right. But I don't know she the first person to do a box in the middle of stage before I don't know. Maybe maybe on saying is the this shape, the design that that this transparent looks very it's very similar. You're right. Frigging identical. Anyways, I'm team Lord on that. If your the parent to a sixteen year old or a seventeen year old and you're looking to buy them their first car you need to use troop price. If you wanna buy them used car. They also do use cars. As well. Just go to their website or download their at truecar. There is no more confident car buying experience than truecar anyways. That was just a segue to our wacky segments today. Another thing that's gotten really people talking is these statements by the chief marketing officer from the Victoria secret who was speaking about diversity. And specifically said that they would not have plus size models in the Victoria's Secret fashion show or transgender models. This guy says does the brand think about diversity. Yes. Do we offer larger sizes? Yes. Shouldn't you have transsexuals in the show? No, no. I don't think we should the show is a fantasy. It's a forty two minute entertainment special. That's what it is. We attempted to do a sp- television special. For plus sizes in two thousand no one had any interest in it. Still don't. Okay. What are your thoughts? Fine, fine. Where does it say that you have to cater to everybody when you're making a television show? It doesn't say anywhere. You're doing a show. That's all if you think what he said is offensive or you don't agree with how about this don't watch it. So no, I don't have any problem with it. Well, a lot of people are not watching it ratings with Victoria's Secret fashion show are way down it universally. Does not do well, which always blows my mind, but every year it's on CBS, which is an old fuddy duddy network. It's for old people. So I'm not, you know, they're not going to watch. It's a show probably geared for young people. And it's more of an event in New York that people want to go to I've been to it before. I don't even see it as a television show. It's kinda dumb these girls walking out. And you're like what is this? This is down. So I'm not shocked. I think every show is going down in ratings because people consume media differently. But it never did. Well in the first place, I'm just to support. Did the name disappointed? I'm shocked that somebody in such a position of power would be so stupid. I mean, even if that's what you really believe a stupid. Let's go with insensitive know stupid, if he backing it up, and he says, look, here's facts is this ignorance, this is a guy saying here's fax we did it with plus size models. And we said, hey, we want to be a little bit more whatever conscious of whatever they did it. And you know, what it didn't research it didn't rate and they at the bottom line. They said, you know, and it's not good for the brand. Whatever the brand is whatever that means that may be matter of fact, so I say insensitive, you're saying stupid. It may not be stupid. He may be right. He may know his audience better than than we do. I get that. It's just dumb of him to have made that public. You don't need to tell people you don't people response to any of that trade up alive. Say we make every effort for diversity and stop right there. And just stop talking. You're right. A skilled media professional would weasel right out at I know. And clearly this guy's been on the job for a long time. I'm surprised I'm surprised how that all went down. All right. This blogger says that she was turned away from the lose because she was wearing a low cut dress, the Liuw the loop doesn't have any religious. No. It's just amusing. That do you think museums should have dress codes? Yeah. A little bit because you know, you've got kids coming in. And I don't know. I guess I would have to see what we're talking about high. Saw the photo at it. Did not look bad at all to me. Okay. How about this? Let me ask you this. If. You walk into Wendy's. I want to go and get you burger says, no shoes, no shirt. No service. Are you against that? No. I mean that's saying Hello. Okay. We talking about here Buber. But what are we talking about? What was exposed was anything expose? Oh, nothing. That's the Wild Thing. I mean, it was it share share. Yeah. There's the problem. Can I ask you something is this someone looking for attention? I don't know the picture. I don't know. I have no idea. But without looking be honest is this someone that really is just looking for attention that war something outlandish? That was like she wasn't going to get in. Or do you really think? This was just it wasn't even that outlandish to wasn't. Okay. I'm asking I like once again, I don't know. I'm just asking you. So you don't think it was that outland off was it someone outline the sent to link if you wanna see it real quick. All right. Okay. I mean, that's a lot of it's a lot of boob. You're a couple centimeters off from nipple. Oh, come on. I can't tell at the bottom to it. Looks like a lot of asked cheek is coming out of there. Oh god. I don't know is that I don't know are their kids in the museum, of course, it's Liuw. Anyway, I don't know if you're going to be that way, you need to have cover-ups that you give to people for free to enter the Liuw looting as some some churches. Do our places of worship all right onto some music news, Arianna grandba-, threw a fit after Pete Davidson made fun of his failed engagements on a promo for L. Then she goes and does a performance on Ellen. That's basically, mocking marriages. I mean, I think she tried to spin it off as it was the first wives club, inspired. But I just viewed it like she was performing at a wedding reception. And she had just gotten married or who knows was that was that hypocritical of her. Well, the way you explain. Right. Yeah. I mean, if you're going to call him out or you're going to tweet him or you're going to tweet at everybody to be little him for telling a joke about their relationship, and you go and do the same thing. That's the definition of hypocritical. But I didn't do the performance. But it sounds like it's hypocritical. I agree. Well, her song has got number one on the billboard hot one hundred it selling its streaming. It is one of the biggest hit songs we have seen in a long time. It is a big big hit. Yeah. And it's not even on any album, it's wild. Well. And that breathing song is also doing well to write what surprised me even more. You know, the most streamed artist globally on Spotify. It's not on Agron colloquially most creamed artists Spotify. I dunno Celine ago as. Maybe it's just the relate ability of the last single and being about Bieber and the subject matter, I guess, but her fans are just rabbit the rabbit talking talkies ahead, though, the talk. The talk. I love the Taki talking means nothing. Are you? Sure. It means nothing. Yeah. They made it up. They just thought it sounded cool. I like it. I thought it was like some cool Spanish saying or something. And now doesn't mean anything Zane Malik is speaking out about one direction, blah, blah. Who cares? He was upset that the other guys made snide comments after he left the group, dude, you left the group if they just made snide comments, it's not that bad. Yeah. Con Dao also Sinead O'Connor has converted to Islam and says she does not want to spend time with white people. Again. That's fine. I don't want to spend time with her either. I just hope she's mentally not saying she's out there that keep an eye on. Demi Lovato is splitting her time in Los Angeles between a halfway house and a private home and Wilmer Valderrama. Her ex continues to be a presence in her life. Good for him, sending her all of the continued. Good vibes. Ben Affleck has check. Back into into rehab to receive even more ongoing treatment. Wow. You know, taking it real serious Christina Aguilera was performing in New Orleans solve went to a bar or not even a bar like an establishment. Let's say where there is a band playing a local band, and she wanted to get on stage and jam with them, and she got rejected if you're in that band. Why would you reject her? Well, that's the thing. I am pretty sure they knew who she was maybe they didn't. I think he did why would you show away Christina Aguilera? It doesn't make any sense. If you knew a big star wanted to play with your band. It's a story for the rest of your life. I mean, I guess telling a big star that they can't play with your band is also story for the rest of your life. Maybe they just thought it was rude that she right like who is this person, interrupting our show people are here to see us. No one wants to see stabbed. Multi Grammy winning puff star saying who would want to see that. Everybody there dummy. I'm glad that there was video of it. It was fun to why really happy news Gabrielle union. Dwayne Wade is that you pronounce his name to Wayne Dwayne Wade's Wayne Wade have welcomed their first child together via a surrogate after a very painful and public journey to having her own child in a ton of miscarriages. So really awesome for them. I hope that you know, sooner than later surrogacy becomes legal in every state and every country there's still so many that don't allow it. And finally, let's and things on a real positive note. Holy moly. Remember that chip and Joanna my favorites. I was so bummed when they weren't going to be on. HDTV anymore. And well turns out they're going to be on. They are coming back to television on their own network. They're going to be wildly successful. People are going to pick that up and the shows that they put on they just they have the touch. They seem to have a little of that God squad them too. They seem like great people. I'd love I can't get enough of watching their shows. I could waste an entire weekend sitting in front of my TV watching them renovate houses. They're just so good such a great family. I love him. I wish Martha Stewart had her own network too. Don't get me wrong. I love Martha Stewart, but it's that whole husband wife family dynamic thing. Chips a goofball. She's just cool and they're both so creative. It's the team thing that really works for them. Well, you and I are great team. Can we do can we do anything? We can do it ton. You can watch me clean my gutters. I can watch you prepare your son basket. I can do that. I may what did I have this week? I had a trout meal, which I've never had trout before. I prepared that that was really good. What earlier in the week something something with a curry chicken, which I didn't think I was going to like, and I was like I like hurry. Well, then maybe I've been doing it wrong or tasted it wrong because what I made was phenomenal really great prepared meals. I love some basket. And I love how much variety and options. They give you every week. You can use the app to simplify things just go to sun basket app and pick from eighteen weekly recipes and tons of different diets he can choose from. And here's my favorite part could a sun basket dot com. Tom slash Peres today to get thirty five dollars off your first order that sun basket dot com slash Peres for thirty five dollars off. All right. Let's get pop with these calls. Buck Lynn Powell here. We go. I'm calling because I am so confused. I just watched the video of parental where it's just a response. And I guess my question is how do you A online? When you have any times that you don't make the family drama when liberty suet. Oh, yeah. She makes a really good point. It's very hypocritical of you to do such thing. Because just last week. We talked about Kate plus eight in the family business out there online and respond to that a little bit. How are you not a hypocrite by doing? Oh, I'm I almost stopped carrying is what happened as like, you know, what I don't care. I don't care. The classier thing to do the better thing to do what not made it public? I was hurt. And I wanted to hurt my sister. I stray up own it aknowledge it. This was straight up emotional. This was your feelings. And and also knew what you were doing. Yeah. And I didn't want her to apologize. I I understand that. I may have been alienating myself from my sister as a result of it. And I don't care. I've you myself as being that snow, but I felt her in snub and put in my place by my sister. And I feel like I now know what she really thinks of me, I high Fokker my name is Andrea and I for Miami. But living info love the show. And poignant just wanted to say that they totally agree with you allow Arianna gardai Addy ended. Is very immature at you. Like, you know, I really ships you just total puppy, and I kinda just can't wait for her to grow out of that. And I hope happening kind of. If you heard any reports about food out, quite and her having seizures and the reasons that she's been canceling so many shows back supposedly in, you know, the bloggers that she. Something from complications of because of her. He had a fake Brian. Like, she's got got knows what maybe or something injected into her. But she talked about before and potentially causing complicated. The wanted if you heard anything on your end buzzing about that let us know about the show. Thank you. And I do love how you double town. Oh, thanks. We could be great friends. She and I to lunatics. I have not heard anything about Kardashian. Seizures have you know, never never this is someone that's this is someone on the dark web. Apparently. It's oh, oh, I know why it's this shady as site, which is always making stuff up, media takeout. I don't believe. Okay. So that's a cramp. Talking about. That. The fourteen year old boy, and I'm just gonna turn out anything. I n handed present agree with where Bucker is coming from. And that that you had every right to swing on that kit. Do you agree that a lot of the kids dieting coming from twenty four year old guardianship of her thirteen and fourteen year old siblings? When she was twenty one. My brother when he was fourteen regained control, and I actually got into and I know him that ended in him getting physical with me. I until I think that that's something that are generated intense to do because they think that they can get away with it. My question for you is why would you think that coming from a teacher point of view that you would not think they had a kickback that had physically assaulted you after being racist and making racial slurs. Not just that this cash doing basketball which yet. I mean, I don't agree you that it should have ended in him getting add Dicle as he did. But the kid Pickett lay down point blank, in my opinion. I don't think the teachers at salt a student simple as that. So you said your piece, I said mind, I love you. I've been trying to be forever, but I have to agree with Booker right now. Because if you've ever been to me would okay, it's not a hundred percent, Hispanic. Okay. And as not the news like you said, you know, you nobody disrespect you out these kids that you talked about that with beat up the knee would by teacher, the Nava into talks MAC, you get your. Pretty much. I think the you're sensitive to anything having to do with five it because a long time you be this person who would talk to my online, and eventually you got your what is not. Not in the face, you laid out in I hope engine, and I don't know. I don't think that that was why. But you don't do it anymore. Right. This is what this kid needs to get his ass. What? Because he's going to continue talking smack to ever win everyday grow up to be Trump's thinking that they can get away with whatever they want. Basically, you talk. You get your maybe not today. Maybe not tomorrow, maybe not by this person or by that person. But eventually someone's gonna leave. Well, that's what the kid needed teachers. I mean shouldn't have done it. But he got into regardless. And that's what he needed. I disagree. I'm just calling in about the teacher punching student. I'm all with the I think that little kid to get it. It's all anyone called about. It was actually bigger than the conversation with your sister, which blew me away. And the thing is not one person disagreed. I'm gonna stop her. And I thank her for calling and everybody else. Did. But just for redundancy. Everyone said the same thing they all greed with me on that. That's that's. Bad. I don't think it's sad. I think they're all in point. I think I was on point. I think you're a loft on this one. I don't rolling over in letting people behave any way they want. I think that's everything that's wrong in the world today. Everything I just I still disagree. Like, you know, the kid could be saying the most awful thing. It's not like the kid was punching the teacher either the facts of the facts, he did throw something whatever we already talked about this. Let's keep it going. I wanna get into one more call because looted to this earlier on the show. There was one definitive point about your argument with your sister. And I'm hoping this is a call that reflects that then I didn't think about that you told me right after the show. So let's hope this right into that. Not going to say my name. I don't even know up or whatever. Press for you, not a question or anything. I just wanted to I laughing when you were talking about your sister's wedding because and how you how not being, you know, not being able to speak ask you speak walking on Eyler, whatever. And hopefully, get it. You're just like me and the family you like, I think it's a Latino thing. I don't know. I think we're just more. I don't know. Like, how do I even stand? You went practices, by the way, I feel because I would have the same way it might what enough. Asked me to stay. If you words or the MC would have asked me to word, I would have been paid is. And I would have probably done trying and somebody. But there it is I would say more than a handful of people that called and said the same thing that you said to me initially after our conversation press said to me, you are so white. It's a such a Latino thing and then on Q after I got done texting with him, the next caller said exactly that it's a Latino thing. And you don't understand Booker? So it was it was kind of interesting to hear other people echo. What you had said. But all of them had the same thing in common with you. That had said that they were all Latinos. So I thought that was really kind of interesting and amusing there you go. There you go you guys for listening and also by the way, thank you again to Ellen Degeneres for the exclusive. Dan Patrick Show - Hour 1 - Will Ferrell (11-13-18)
It's all about me. Dan, patrick. There is more where that came from click back for new episodes all week long. Are you a the two embroi- lag? And lag. We went over that a per take in this. Hey, we have. We've we've been Alexa, play Arianna 'Grande. Okay. Zahn music. Avoid all you need get tens of millions of songs. Download the Amazon music app today from the LA Mercedes mammy. We'll throw down if you want to. I personally don't want to do anything like that. Here's Dan Patrick. Welcome to the program, which our one of these Tuesday, Dan, Dan, Patrick show big day. Big night last night lot to recap fritzy on stage at the comedy store. Dance went to see the clippers. Golden State Warriors went into overtime there with the clippers winning will Ferrell stops buying about fifteen minutes. Sebastian Maniscalco, who's a professional comedian. He will join us coming up next hour going to love that guy. I'll Michael's NBC sports. The voice of the NFL and Andrew Whitworth. The Rams offensive tackle with everything that the Rams have been through that he's been through in his neighborhood being forced to evacuate donating his game. Check this past weekend. So we'll talk to him coming up former Bengals offensive linemen and still. I mean at his age, I think he's thirty seven. He's been he's been wonderful for the Rams a great pickup for them. All right. If you like get in touch with the program, you can't eat seven seven three DP show, Email address teepee, Dan, Patrick dot com. Mclovin. Have. No question coming up. I've got to play today stat of the day or two, and I always love this. When you want to start an argument a football argument. All you have to do is say is Eli manning a hall of Famer. And then all of a sudden, let's play the family feud ally is he back. He's for a guy who doesn't say much doesn't really have a defined personalities. He's actually poll rising because you look at him you go. Well, he's overrated because he played in New York. He's overrated because his last name is manning. But then he's underrated because he's had to deal with New York, and he's had to deal with the fact that his last name is manning. It's been a tough year for the giants. But they won last night. They beat the forty Niners. That's his thirty six career game winning drive in the fourth quarter overtime. It's a little too too little too late. I think here the overwhelming sentiment is time to rebuild and allies legacy is pretty much set. But every every quarterback who's won the Super Bowl at least twice it's gone into the hall of fame except for the former raider, Jim Plunkett. But unlike Plunkett, Eli has big numbers, you know, for his career and even this year. So no matter what happens the rest of two thousand eighteen ally. Manning is going to end up in canton as a pro football hall of Famer, why are way you're gonna start early with me McClellan. I can hear people in their cars out there. Yelling at you. Right now. There's an such an anti Eli camp out there. I'm not putting him in. I'm saying he's going in. I mean, he's got the credentials to go in whether you like him or not whether he's a great regular season quarterback. He beat the patriots twice. He's going into the hall of fame. Yes. He don't you have the giants. Now almost doesn't lock for the Super Bowl just based on all of this. This is exactly when he liked those on a tear. Yeah. Well, this is what I thought I. Thought that they would give us a glimpse and they'd win five in a row. I don't know they struggle to put away a niner's team last night. They got the buccaneers coming up after that. But you look at this division, this division is not very difficult. So when you go is Jason Garrett safe in Dallas can the eagles come back. They're not separated by more than what two games. So it's a message going to be the rest of the season. It's like I first team to nine wins is gonna make the playoffs in that division. Yes. The final game of the season for the giants is home against the Cowboys on national TV December thirtieth. Don't you feel like that will be for the wildcard or something like that? He live carve, well, it might be for Jason GARRETT'S future. It might come down to something as as deep as that. I think he lies futures pretty much set. I don't know if he can he's not going to win his way out of this. But the giants picked up a big now, I don't think so I don't think so that might come back to haunt me there. But I don't think so I don't think he like and win his way out of this. Yes. Mclovin poll question if you're giants fan would you rather win out the? Last seven games or lose out the last seven games. About it. If it means that you can get your quarterback, your, you know, your geared because the raiders are gonna lose out to they probably you know, the way they want to approach this Liam we don't want to get good. I if I'm a giants fan. I look at that game last night and go why why why why are we winning these games? Now, we don't wanna do that do we. But you put away the pesky forty Niners last night. You have two wins on the season. All right. So I mentioned Will's going to join us coming up little bit. You like getting touch with the program. You can't eight seven seven three DP show, Email address DP, Dan, Patrick dot com. Twitter handle at DP shell say good morning to our radio and TV partners. And of course, the great folks here in Los Angeles at L ABC behind the scenes with direct TV audience network. That's channel two thirty nine and NBC sports network. What kind of poll question? Do you have for me? Mclovin before we give you a little sampling of fritzy's night at the the famous comedy store, by the way. Nobody's talked about this. So this morning, we were all on lockdown. We weren't gonna discuss. Fritzy stand? Up routine. And fritzy when you went four minutes and fifty eight seconds, which I am shocked that I was proud of only because I hadn't timed it ahead of time. And it just worked out too that five minutes. Yes. Because I said look you've got five minutes, and that's it like they're really really strict there. And I said, you gotta you gotta here too that you can't be like dripping over into six and a half minutes because then you take away time from other showed me at the corner of your eye on the side of the stage like this star that turns light blue. And that means you have exactly one minute at that point to get it out. Yes. Well, here's this great guy named Adam who runs the comedy store, and he's going through the mechanics with Todd you're so you're going to do five minutes four minutes. I'll give you the light tacos. How about four minutes and thirty seconds ago. Okay. Hot shot. He goes. I didn't cover Chris is that he goes that work for you. You'll know you have a minute left. And I'm like, can you give me a thirty? I guess maybe. I overstepped my bounds. Enter just said. Yeah. Sure. If that's okay. But you know, what it sounds like you were you were saying, look, I got I got a thirty second joke, and I really killed with this thirty seconds. I you know, when you hit me with the light, then I'm ready to go with in our business and our line of work where you get thirty fifteen ten you get all these that was broadcasting wise was in my head. But in comedy world, I guess sixty seconds is there, Mark. And there's no debating on. All right, mclovin. You gotta poll question for me today. Yeah. I mean, we could put up his Eli. Okay. No. It can't do that. And you told me we're gonna knock and talk about Levy on bell after day. Do we want to get in our last chance if you're a Steelers fan do you want him to report at four PM eastern today or not? It's pretty polarizing too. I think there's a lot of good arguments on both sides. I wonder what this means for other potential holdouts in the NFL if other agents look at this that that's what I'm curious about. I don't think lady on bell place. I don't think he shows up. I think he's got an if he shows up he gets six million of the fourteen million that he had on the table, but he's not going to get that money back. Does he wanna come back to the Steelers wanting back if I'm the Steelers I just want this over with and if he comes back, and then how much he play it? It's going to stay with the Steelers the entire season. So I think for the betterment of this season. And I know that lady on bell has that homerun potential to help you win a Super Bowl. I just think you have to balance this out and say James CONNER has helped us get here. You know, Ben's playing. Well, the defense is better were on a roll. How about we have momentum for change how about we don't take two steps forward two steps back. So that would be the big concern. I would have. And if I'm a Steeler or Steelers fan. I don't want lady on. I don't want a guy who sort of wants to be here. I understand he wants a new contract. He wants to be healthy when he gets it. But don't do that at our expense. You're the one a play or you don't what else dad again, by the way, more Jones juice said what if you up Levy, I'm balanced slot receiver. Hi, again, fantasy player you're like. Wow. That could be cool. Yeah. But I deal in reality not fantasy, mclovin. And that is dealing with the chemistry of the Steelers. And that's usually a mess. So you finally have some positives here. They can't wait for four o'clock today. 4._0._1. today. Steelers can't wait because and I'm I mean that in a in a positive way like once it's four oh one then you move on. Now, you might get those the obligatory questions of hey, do you miss lady on bell? You know, like in in two weeks or something changed Connor struggled Egede. You make a mistake not bringing they're going to have that. I just think the Steelers are on a roll for a change. Yes. Mclean impact running back contracts moving forward, not just his contract. But other people are going to see. Well, the system created James Connor why am I paying Todd Gurley money for anyone not named Todd Gurley? Well, but I think Zeki will Elliott there's certain Alvin Kamara but David Johnson sort of flamed out on that big contrary. Well, they offense should line is bad in Saint Louis in Arizona. But I you. At the saints because the saints had the best offensive line in football, in my opinion. Now does is that benefiting Alvin Kamara like if you if you put him on another team or he wants to get a bigger contract? You know, going to the Jetson putting up the same numbers, but you can't focus on Kamara right piece. There's so many weapons and you gotta Ingram as well. But you have to have that offensive line. I just think there's certain running backs that are worth that money. And girly is definitely worth that money. And I think Zeke Elliot is worth that money and so's lady on bell. But lady on bell, you he bet on himself here, and he's not going to get that money back. What else do you have? This is actually a poll question. But we went to the words clippers last night. How how important Steph curry is he the besides O'Brien is he the most important player to a team in the NBA eight did not look like the warriors without curry. They're they're different without him. Like, he's the most valuable player. You have to have Durant is probably the better all around player, and he had a triple double last night. But you know, what was interesting is you got Durant and drew. Name on green. They like, they it's like a big brother little brother, or you know, maybe twins. But there's opposite styles their demeanor. And they're not afraid of like, you know, getting in each other's face. And I think Durant was upset that he didn't get the ball for the last shot and dream on had the ball in his hands. And you know, so they had some words there. But you don't the clippers deserve the win that Steve Kerr said that hey, they know what they deserved it. Now, there's some questionable fouls being called. But man that happens every night. Yes. Steve cars in a tough spot to manage that one. Then he'd dream on should have given the ball up. He shouldn't have been the one bringing that up the court like that he lost. He lost it. He didn't even kidding gives team a chance to win. How does Steve Kerr manage those two? He goes, well, I think if he shows Draymond green. Look, you're not the guy who does a pull up jumper. You know, Kevin can take jumper off the dribble or Klay Thompson. Can I don't want? You who's not our best ball handler to have that ball in that in that spot? Efforts. But you got to like the fire and the emotion these things happen all the time. We're not take another championship for granted. We're going to go at it. Sometimes. Well, you gotta you gotta spin it. If you're the Golden State Warriors. Yeah. See? Right. I mean, it's gotta be it's gonna be tough for dream onto here. You realize you gotta give the ball up in that situation. I mean, I don't know that competitive people always want to hear that like you realize you messed that up right now. But I think you could say that then and he would listen to Steve Kerr to say dream on. You're not magic here you give the ball up Yanic club bay mischief. Alan mcgee. It's that simple Marsin grin. Todd who looked like he retired five years ago in mantras herald scored at will on the warriors cortott by IRA laughing the entire time. He's like a as a character out of a movie dying to get crossed over at all times like the waterboy cross them over. Now, he looks like he's auditioning for a bond movie or something just right? Every time you to see him out there or he'd be an opponent for you know, rocky nine Sunday night. All eyes will be on the windy city. It's the Vikings taking on the bears. It's football night in America. Seventy stern kickoff at eight twenty Sunday night, only on NBC. All right. Do you wanna play? Just a little snippet of fruit. Thirty. Pauly, you were there last. I couldn't I was too nervous. Like, I be an honest. I was too nervous to go. Because I've been there before that Caroline's, and I felt like my child was on stage. And when no one laughed when you had some of those jokes, and it just was really it hurt a little I remember you coming over to me after after the act is if. There was some horrible family tragedy happened. Consoling? I wanted to be like the little kid who gives you know, mean show Greene a coke. Just because I feel bad for you, man. Like, you were limping out of the the comedy at Caroline's and go here here have a soda now. Just to put a smile on your face. Really? You can have it. Yeah. Okay. Which is so odd to Caroline's because we were all going over there like Todd's dog just died. And we're like, oh, man. I'm so sorry. And he's like, I don't know. I think it's pretty good that I'll all my God. You have your fascinating you really are in your fearless. But you're so insecure at times you're so confident they realize how bad it went till they were sending flowers house. Our who died your acted. Okay. Pauly, set the stage. I just wanna play. The opening joke of fritzy last night comedy story, set the scene. The commie store on sunset is like walking in the Yankee Stadium of comedy. The whole corner is lit up with lights. There's people inside and out. There's four different comedy. Rooms we go in we sit down in the back, and we have a little table and the room is packed and its friends of family night, employees. The comedy store who are aspiring comedians get to go and their friends and family are there. And then the pros go at ten o'clock. Now, this is the original room. They called us. This is where Richard Pryor played Sam Kenneth. Steve Martin David Letterman was a doorman there. They showed pictures of Letterman, everyone is played this stage. And so there was eight comedians that went there are six before Todd in two after and the one thing I noticed before Todd walked up is the microphone was very sensitive. And if you didn't put it close to your face, you didn't get picked up and the other thing, it was a very tough room and the comedians, and the MC there were there were jabbing the crowds. Wow. Wake up a little bit everybody is it Ambien night, and blah, blah, blah, because the crowd was very very tough. And so Todd one up down oh to an account because the Mike wasn't I didn't think working that. Well, and the crowd wasn't working that. Well, so here's how Todd opened. How's everybody feeling? I'm not doing so good. I know we're we're here to laugh and have a good time, buddy. I have Crohn's disease. I don't know if you're familiar with that, the flam, Tori, bowel disease, not a good time. Imagine going to the bathroom or having to go to the bathroom five six seven times a day that I'm now imagine having stick every twenty minutes. That's just not not something that you want and the hemorrhoids has killing you. That's a you might seen those commercials for Humira and all that come depressing. Every time I see one of those commercials, and it's like toilet following you like a ghost. You know, everywhere you look, you're always looking for clean bathrooms somewhere. It's not a not a fun way to be. Dan to put them perspective that is a loft like on Todd. The audio was not good to the mic too far away from his face. The first minute of his five minutes was death. It was not couldn't hear it. And the crowd wasn't buying in yet. That's the early review. Okay. Dear not you know, what I said about what you should open up with. But do you think I gave you bad advice at Caroline? So you decided you were going to go with that approach last night. I appreciate what posted there. It's a combination of I don't know if the Monday night, eight o'clock crowd was ready for inflammatory bowel disease humor. Plus, you know, the Mike I needed to have it right up to my lips or else. It was going to be difficult here. So I don't know if they missed some of the joke, or they I'd like to believe is that as opposed to that they heard it. They just didn't find it funny now once again, it's observational humor. I just didn't know if there was any humor in that in that opening joke. Just being honest. Okay. If I heard that and even though I know you I'm not hearing anything that would make me laugh I chose that as my transition from back to sleep apnea and then into that yellow flag out. Yes. See it is tough. You. You're putting yourself behind the eight ball when you get up there in the audience. Can't hear your joke. That is tough that probably set you back a little bit and sort of like, you're saying you just have to be an unusually mean person to be like, you got Corollas disease. That's just that's just not funny. This you just have to be a horrible being find that funny. I mean, we do we think it's funny. But you know, those people don't human being. We are horrible. Yeah. That's true, though, that the I know you've got a good point rally. Rallied. I laugh at that. I know he's a community wants to laugh, and he's telling us his personal problems. But I don't know if that's something I could laugh at you know, he's running for colonoscopy and check it for blood stool is that really something that we should be. Yes. To be fair to Todd. He regrouped after this. He took a breath put the mic backup to his face and went back into the bit from Minnesota. Remember the trip to the holy land. Really did. Well. Yeah. And the tide started to turn with this next joke. Okay. But let me let me take a break. Okay. Because we'll Farrell's gonna join us. Maybe I can let will listen to this an expert on comedy because you don't trust my opinion. Yeah. I was in. I had memorized it so many times in my head. And at that point that felt like I couldn't change it. I had to just go with what was stuck in my head for good, bad or indifferent? The tide will turn when we return here on the Dan Patrick show. Ferrell's joining us here in studio. Always great to see you will came bearing gifts. And he brought in anchorman underwear for all of the danettes. It's the it's the great stocking stuff. Do you have a bunch of stuff at your house idea? I have a swag a swag closet. You do in in in in the garage where there's a a eclectic collection of various things. What would I be surprised that's in the swag closet at the will Ferrell compound? You would be very surprised at a couple of time ex watches from the movie stranger than fiction. The watch was featured in the movie, and they made they made a collector's edition watch. They thought was going to be huge didn't quite take off. If the movie had taken off watched might have taken know it was celebrating critically. But was that a film or a movie that was a film? Okay. See make movies. He was a film. Nobody makes money in film. No, no, exactly, man. Timex did not make money in that. But tiny whitey's you can't go wrong with that. No. Right. Blue. And and fritzy what color are you gonna? I got a nice red one nice red one as a special. Does it have these are called beard of Zeus, blue blue? Yeah. Is there a title for the red? That would be a sex panther read. And I believe the the the sticker price is still on there. They retail for about ten bucks. Selling yourself short eighteen. Yeah. Not bad. Anyway, still not available in. Never available says unique y front fly. Oh, yeah. We had a lot of we had a lot of design meetings. Underwear? Would you have to go and try them on that come out in front of a group of people like what do you think test market? Yeah. Yep. Need more of that? They look at me through a two way out of those like a combined. Yeah. Exactly. All right. Fritzy did his stand up act last night. Yes. Did you ever do the comedy store? I don't think I ever did the come. No. I might have done a sketch. Some sketch comedy at the comedy store because you were you ever considered a standup comedian tried to buy was not I tried it for a year and a half. In fact, fritzy, I were having a a very enlightened conversation in the hallway of how. Yeah, I tried it. It is the single hardest thing to do in terms of the comedy art forms, and that's why I fled to sketch comedy. But. Yeah. I had I had I had my standup act. And I I did I think that the ice house did the improv. I did a lot of the LA places in. But so I that you you went up there. Okay. The first joke didn't go. Well. And there was some technical issues. The microphone technical in terms of the microphone actually working like the microphone technically the audience didn't have enough push Crohn's disease. Technically, it wasn't a funny joke. Heck, yeah, technically. Yeah. Okay. So this is the second tuned you out second joke. I one didn't go over. Well. Okay. And here is the second job last night for fritzy. Plus, my wife on the rare occasion that we're intimate and I'm on top. She can use me having a few less LB's. I keep waiting for the ticket yellow flag and put out of her. And. Basically roughing the spouse, I think the NFL has that now. Protect the quarterback. So you can't put the full body weight on on the quarterback. So I don't put my full body weights on the on the white. You gotta cut a tilt to the side or you get a penalty. So you're losing to real quickly. If you have to look while you're having sex to that. So it's not great. Okay. So now observations audio seems great on that one. You're talking about that the audience they heard that when they heard it. Yeah. They did. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. It's hard. It's hard to do. But what about the joke? It's what about the comedy of it? Okay. Here's here's the next. See you're too nice. I mean, it sounded a little Henny Youngman ish. Henny Youngman starting what he went my wife take Lydia now you went blue early. And I told you if you go blue early don't go. Yeah. Exactly. That's a tough. That's Monday night at eight o'clock. Exactly. What did you go blue because they didn't react to your opener? No. That was just that my plan buzz inflammatory bowel disease. C-pap sleep apnea losing weight. Losing weight and landing on top of the white. Hey on paper sounds. On. All right. This is when fritzy started to win over the audience. The the the crowd warmed up a little bit to fritzy with this joke went to Israel recently, anybody had been days meal. So my biggest concern even though I wanted to see could blitzes and try swarm and some of the weird meditating food was to make sure we had two separate rooms. So the wife, and I got from it. We have a little intimacy. It'd be nice. So I spent the extra money got two rooms one for the kids and one for my wife, and I had four or five days go by nothing. So make my move. I don't know what my move is. Exactly. But I make my move to the left in nineteen years of marriage. We think you wouldn't have to have a move. But she's like, what are you doing? So what do you mean? What am I doing figuring? You know, maybe we can do something unholy in the holy land that when my big line might be. Be line to get in the mood to something unholy in the whole. We can't go do you? We can't that the kids are in the next room. I know that's why I spent all that extra money here in the next or in the other room. That's why a five thousand we cannot surprised. Okay. Oh, wow. Yeah. Okay. On the holy land, bringing them in those are real laughs right there. Those were those were solid actual more than one person laughing time microphone worked. Yep. Technically. And then you did about thirty more seconds. They rep. So he had five minutes there at the communist, five minutes is very hard to to do in the sense that I mean, you got to you know. Yeah. It was definitely a challenge. And I I was nervous as as as we were talking earlier as we were going along, you stuck getting more relaxed because there's not much less. You have to remember to say, and you feel like you're getting relaxed when they give you the light. And then say get off the stage, right? Yes. Yes. The comedian. You saw you went. I either want to do it or I can't do it. No, you will talking. You. You're the guest. Yeah. Now, I don't care about fritzy. I wanted to see what? Well, we were talking. I I was I was say helluva conversation. You guys had during the commercial. Needs to read the the book that Steve Martin wrote which is based on his whole career at talks about. You know, he started doing he grew up in garden grove, which is right next to to Disneyland. And after high school his high school job was to work in the magic shop where he learned like sleight of hand, and he would. The beginnings of his comedy roots where he plays banjo in the stage shows, and that sort of thing, and it just shows how someone like Steve Martin who seemed so off the cuff and so natural and so silly. And just where does he come at? It was it was calculated to the second and Robin Williams was like that too that he gave the impression that it was only improv, but they he talks about in the book, technically, where he's you know, he's already thinking three jokes ahead while he's in the middle of his joke and. And that was that was the one guy who, you know. I remember getting his listened to his albums and just thinking, oh, this this type of thinking is just something. I'd love to love to get close to even. But then there's more of a performance to Steve which adds you what you, you know? You're you're you're. Traits your it's my trade, drain. Yeah. Yes. My physical attributes. Yes. That your physical comedian. I'm so I can make anything funny have any thing here. Underwear? I mean right out of the gate. Does your wife think you're funny? She will occasionally say, you know, what you still got it. That's it. Yeah. So that's the what would she'd be honest with you know, she. I think she would just go. Okay. Humor. Get her. You got her by funny. Yeah. Yeah. I said you think you're funny. No, no. She I think she, you know, she's still she's use to the funny. Oh, yeah. Okay. She's just she's used to one one of the things where I I was able to kind of capture her I had a I had flowers delivered to her every day of the week at her work. Beautiful flowers, but the cards would say things like. I hope you're having a great day work. I think about you often. But remembered everyone hates you. Or the next day. It'd be like, you're you're very pretty. But you're not as pretty as your co worker Marissa. Just little and dangerous. She thought it was hilarious. And I was always at. Yeah. But if you did that now. Oh, yeah. I still all do every mother's day. I try to mix it up. I think the latest one was my my heart flutters when I think of you. It could be love. It could be my atrial fibrillation. How about greeting cards green cards? I I haven't ridden a greeting card to her in a long time. But you could do a business. Oh, I see. Yeah. Could could could hire. Bouncing. Yeah. It's maybe. Bell disease. They do he's a will Ferrell. You didn't have anything to promote today. Did he? I've got a Christmas day. We've got a movie coming out is that Sherlock, Holmes and Watson, John C Reilly and myself as Sherlock Holmes, and Dr John Watson. So that'll be in theaters. How's your accent that's much anticipated? Now, did you did you purposely have a bad accent? Oh, well, no. I purposely had a good accent. It will be determined by the if let me let me hear a little bit of Sherlock, Holmes. Well, Sherlock Holmes his accent. I did I did kind of. Little bit of accentuated accent based on the performances of Jimmy Brit, which was a BBC. Variation of the show Sherlock, Holmes? So there's is here's my accent. Oh, I can't wait until Christmas more. Yes. I can't wait. I can't wait. He'll be blown away. My friend. You know, I was also thinking about this. So this the fifteen year anniversary of elf. Yes and old school. Right. So those were back to back for you. Does that sound right back to back to it was it was old school elfin anchorman nobly? Yeah. That's the holy trinity. That's pretty good right there. Come get some of this. Yeah. And then I saw where people keep asking about you to do a sequel elephant. I remember you telling us you thought you may have thrown away your career often. Yeah. The originals by the original. Yeah. That was a that. There were moments where. Yeah. Running around or now suit and New York City thinking. Oh boy. Well, it was fun while it lasted at this will either be a Christmas classic, or, you know, one of my last movies, but out of those three which one did you say, I know you're apprehensive. That was that was such a pleasant surprise. Okay. But anchorman, you knew was going to be a hit an old school. You Nubia hit. No all three had no idea. The only the only. No. You know, the only one I mean l school we had it. We had a really good time filming it it it felt kind of fresh in different. But really didn't know and old anchorman was was so hard to get made. There. It was very tough ticket studios to make a comedy about the news room. And when they finally kind of gave us the green light based on the success of elf. Then we really we really felt like we were playing with the houses money to get to to to make that movie. But, but you know, once again, it was the screening process if elbows and successful anchorman might not have been made xactly there wasn't. Yeah. Yeah. So yeah, DreamWorks was holding onto that that script and an old school. The actually the success of old school led to because I was filming alpha old school came out. How many takes with the beer Bong seen in old school? I remember was there. There's a non alcoholic beer. Okay. Okay. Yeah. How many takes later? There was real. By the time. I'm on stage with snoop Dogg. There was you'd been drinking. There've been some real beer one or two. Yeah. But how many takes with with the Beerbaum? I who knows who knows put it is that the script like did you go as scripted in the beer Bonk's all of that tastes so good. When it hits your that. That just came off the cuff and had bath beyond all that stuff. I was just like I think it was just I drink a beer Bong. And then go start partying with kids. But so I just kind of came up with all the guys will use that line. You know, and it's pretty nice little Saturday. Like, we've all done that with our wives. Like, what are you doing today? You know, I'm gonna go to bed bath and beyond. And it just felt like what that guy would say trying to relate to kids. Yeah. In that moment. Is there any part of like are are you Frank? Can you relate to him at all? I don't go to bed bath and beyond. You know? I'm not a I'm not a do it yourself for people who do that for you. I I don't have people. Amazon. Right. Okay. Yeah. But where do you go that? I would people be surprised where you just CVS. Right. Okay. John have a CVS hard to see. I don't I refuse to get one. But do you you just go to hang out or like? Get some vitamins. Prescriptions. Get some floss do people say anything to you when cage. Yeah. But they they should security guard knows me by now. Do they say like be fun? Do you ever get that? Hey, say something funny. Not usually. Yeah. Same with fridge. Yeah. They don't they don't do that too. Fresh. I'm sorry. Sorry. We're going to take a break here is that. Okay. I think it's great. Okay. Do you have any more comedy play? Should we go out on one of fritzy's? Joe do we have anymore now? That's it. Oh that was it. Yeah. That was okay. Oh, that's all right. Do you have anything for will that we could like leftover what what didn't make the set last night? You want to go back to section row seat? Do we have? Okay. Anything from Caroline's? Okay. Okay. Fritzy UK with this. I'm flattered that. We'll want to hear some of for good bad ugly. It's that's it's he's taking an interest in my amateur comedy career. And that's extremely flattered. Yes. I think one of the best things the show could do actually if we follow the arc of Todd's career here. He started with section row seat a joke that absolutely bombed, and then you can make it into a really good joke that end by the time you could see the growth of Todd as a comic and be like look at your shadow. And now, it's awesome. Now, crushes right? All right. We'll we'll play that that hobble that altogether. That was that was his big joke that was his opener. Caroline. So when fritzy was at Caroline's. And what does it again section row? What? Having caught on finding teeth. Can say none of I'm the host yet. It's called a lie. Listen to the big man on. All right. When we come back more with will Ferrell and fritzy's sanction row seat joke that brought down the house that's next year on the Dan Patrick show. Okay. This is just a thirty second commercial.
