"But he always exactly what I was going to say your lie like I love the leaders we have on this tiny though they don't really good job and they come to work every single day. Like high energy like persistent little to no mistakes. I mean, like, it's just like one of the not one on this is a great group of leaders. Yes, one of the best leaders up in around Well, you've obviously been around some great leaders and great players in your time in Denver, and I know that you're really close with von Miller. When you got the news of his injury, how quickly do you reach out to him? And how disappointed would you be that you won't see them lining up across from you? You can't do a post game jersey swap. Like I'm sure you were expecting to do not that you can't get each other your jerseys and you probably already have a von Jersey if you really wanted one, But how bummed were you when you heard the news? Yeah. I was really, uh, disappointed on just for him for Joe because I know what they had at one year to get in the car and, ah Just the day I just sent a message. But I was praying phone I want called right then and there. I know a lot of people probably been reaching out was probably a tough situation over but I did. It's also my life. 23 days later, he said he was feeling good is just just talking and just tryingto. Just given confidence a motive in but he was going pretty good. He had some plans and please and I'm just happy that he, uh, just looking as opportunity to bounce back and come back stronger. Well, so let me ask you to put on your coach has had a little bit and not give away the game plans, but This team is really snake bitten right now. In addition to von Theyjust put Mark Barron and Marcus Walker on IRA J Boys already on I R Drew Lock is on. I r. But he's not playing. You're going to get a chance to change chased Jeff Driskel around. And so without Courtland Sutton as well on offensive side of all. What do you see? It may be no Phillip Lindsay Demon's practice yesterday. I imagine he'll be a game time decision again. So the team that's just banged up. What have you seen from this Broncos team in the first two games? Uh, the banged up, but they still have. Ah, pretty good. It's getting a lot of push up front and gets to stay. And they had a good of my first half running above or score, eh? So we gotta be really, uh, you gotta come in on both stopping the run in order to be able to go out dressed, Go a little bit. But, uh yeah, They do a good job of running the ball and he's gotta be on it. Well, that's something I'm curious because Those was around here that watch team are trying to tell people that the old line is playing better than maybe you would expect in the Garret Bulls seems to have really taken a step so that somebody who looks at what's going on up front With, you know, obviously through different colored glasses right now, What do you see from this Broncos O line. Do you see the improvement that that everybody around here is hoping for? I think they did get better not they still getting better. A sweet talking now, So he's watching something from less from last dish. It is a big difference for sure you couldn't go obviously said. Also whether that Philip Lindsay, we know what challenges he faces. Melvin Gordon, you're used to going against with his time in L, A and San Diego. What do you see from the vet is he's now wearing orange and blue. Like a little bit more explosive with all the light speed and spends and moves you used to think he was like a straight downhill runner. But he's been Spinning, making people miss and there's ah That's good. That's good for him, but it makes a little bit harder for the defense. In what we've got to come back to attack because he has been out of the tap, you could keep a ski move an injured downfield and They're like Lana Washing Gore. He looked.

Who Will Be the Broncos Defensive MVP in 2020?

"Said we do have a poll question up right now at KOAA Colorado on Twitter who will be the Broncos defensive MVP in twenty twenty von Miller drill Casey Bradley Chubb Justin Simmons right now von Miller winning this poll Bradley Chubb is you're right there so pretty close I voted for Bradley Chubb by the way okay I voted for Justin Simmons the only because he sees the field the entire the entire season and I I really think you even thinking badly troubled well they they see the field was a ninety percent just the same as a hundred percent I mean pretty much yeah so I mean we're we're splitting hairs I I actually think there's argument for all all four of them I think there is I think you'd even throw in like I said Kareem Jackson I think we can have a argue about Todd Davis will likely leave we can at least leave the team in tackles there's there's there'll still be harassed kit comes away with with big plays batted passes I mean there's there's probably argument for anyone of these guys yeah other then then yeah I I could totally understand that just and you know he's good for the show and you know I enjoyed enjoyed talking to him from time to time but I'm not you know I I look at and and you know we're all big fans Justin Simmons B. last year before all this went down I was like he's going to become a household name by the end of season sort of maybe all pretty but you know I look at these guys and I'm just for my own personal thing and they have a bounce back season knowing how Bradley Chubb is is kind of Courtland Sutton on the defense enters the attitude work ethic all that kind of stuff and he was where it was interesting get to talk to both those guys a buffalo wild wings last year because it felt like it was kind of a new unified narrative between the two you know Courtland brother has sent a lot of the same things very similarly it's interesting because they're off the side of the ball so it's it's it would it was kind of fascinating to you know to see two guys have the same approach would be different sides of the ball that aren't necessarily in the same same meetings and

"The kids I'm had that I'm talking dos and I'll talk to you guys next week thank you Okay hang on the phone when you say about her you are locked in to the dodgers I welcome to the there's podcast I'm your host Neal Women Today is Adam Your Adam was up it's going on war Ho that's a little Gangsta intro of you there man also joining us our Guy Josh Josh you guys will experience Joe here other ones the energy the of a ten year old who's like meeting friends at the park waving little handedly wave like it all the time I bet you do does the door can you imagine like Josh walking out during the morning go to work hey neighbor by I can see it I really try and show that's I've pitcher him the Number of twenty one pilots who ironically also named Josh is kind of known for always waving like a child it's really adorable but that's exactly what I pictured he's about yeah it's our Josh Mas- act so Adam like here people wave a lot by my mom lives up in Chicago go up there and like so I'll be running or just out doing whatever and if you make eye contact with somebody here you ways and in Chicago if you wave bowl they look like you look at you like you are a psycho why are you making eye contact with people like you look at people move around it's totally different in the city obviously group in the suburbs so I kinda grew up with that same mentality my dad's the type bill talk to anybody so I always was embarrassed that is the kid but then as I grew older kind of like saw why that's really a beneficial quality to having a person but it yeah it's weird living in a city because it's it's people overload that's what it is you're just seeing too many people all the time so if you did that you'd literally just look cycle at walking on the street the neighbor neighbor hi neighbor are you my friend and yeah people would think that you you have a problem so the alternative is just do the exact opposite of that which is no eye contact on focusing me my life what I'm doing nothing else matters what's hilarious when you like find a middle ground I have a friend who just introduced to me a really fun game to plan public transit which is trying the person who's dressed the weirdest and guess what if you actually do that on public transit it becomes really interesting the shit that you probably don't pay attention to there's a people dress weird as speaking of not talking to strangers I love to pull the whole like on the phone thing like I'm walking into story I don't want to talk eighty or one late not make contact with them like Oh yeah hey so you want me to have the time is here again I just have a cell phone out I'm talking to somebody and like really talking to anybody now we get it you don't give money to homeless homeless people you've got the girl scouts out there the boy scouts all of them all throw all of them a minute of my time to say no acknowledged and I'd rather fake a call the worst thing is when you're on the line checking out a night they're like oh it's like the donates don't want to donate today I don't want to donate like why do you have to make me feel like a piece of shit every time that you're like oh wait mom Tom what's going on is everything okay I've gotta run I'm sorry I can't donate right now I would but there's an emergency obviously you gotta get creative with stuff you can't just go straight not you know all you have to do is that really the true antisocial city technique you'll see it all the time it works flawlessly women are brilliant at it because they they need it a ted phones yeah you'd put on headphones nobody attempts to interact with you You actually one thing that I do and I actually menace to tons of people especially if you ever feel unsafe in a situation put in headphones and just turn them on it it's brilliant to just be able to listen to your environment and not have anyone feel like they can interact with you directly right kind of blue thing I know a lot of women in the city who do it a lot of friends who are females sue literally are the ones who I told that to me and then I've used it just because like for instance if you're just on public transit Lee at night and you don't want the person who's Kinda crazier Kuku next to you trying to gauge you WANNA conversation you don't have to actually be listening to anything but just having headphones owns and will cut down on the chances of that and also if you ignore that person who you don't want to engage with it doesn't seem brew it just seems like Oh you can't hear the name is our attention you to get your name let's give him the contact hold on hold on hold on while the shower now you were headphones I love how air pause now made me look crazy of where I'm at I I I like to key one of my ear sometimes I talk to people or listen to something another one's free and I whenever like I'm shopping or next to somebody there are you talking to me are you talking to yourself I might not talking to this person in my ear I hit my my Pottier at all I didn't even see you only see my ear that's free said thing I'm like crazy you're talking to myself so that'll keep people away from your also technique the bus without air pods who were next to you and having this really awkward moment where we're like that happened so much talking so much another reason that I always have headphones so I could just ignore whether or not you just cut that out entirely yeah sorry so before we jump into the content let me start this off they were not going to spoil the joker movie like every other podcast wants to do this week I haven't seen it beer that is weird I had that happen onto podcast yes like that's like the move this week she almost like it was game of thrones or something yeah so obviously some people say it sucked so he will say it's amazing I haven't seen it yet I don't know if you guys have but I haven't seen any that I really want to but yet you're right it's been very polarizing I've only heard those two thanks people like it's brilliant and then other people were like it's boring and stupid uh we'll see we'll see what Josh thanks we'll see what Oklahoma thinks when he gets around to it maybe it'll be his show until one week other than that this is going to be a good old episode man. The Democratic debate is happening while we're doing this because we don't care about our country so we're ignoring that if not to have it democratic debate this guy but if you haven't voted I mean if you haven't registered to vote you should definitely do that you think there's any listeners of this podcast who are not registered to vote what do we do eat Rollo's yeah none probably Fallon's ellison I dunno maybe we'll see but anyway last mentioned because it's not in our note it's or anything and I don't know I think it pretty much happened recently is Mariota's been benched ten hill is going to be the starter this week that's not really it's not really in our conversation Shen at all but I just felt like it was worth mentioning before we jump into it before we'd love to talk to you Mariota believers about this yeah it's interesting it's interesting right I know Trade Mariota Rachana Josh player profiler yet Josh I want you to speak both on behalf of yourself and player profile cop who I think arrange does like the number two dynasty quarterback last you know Mac Elliot's off his rocker sometime nobody should talk about this more than Josh because John also trading me like the first pick our draft next year for Mariota so no one should be talking about this does you make it sound so bad now this is what it is tell us about Josh what's going on understand I don't understand what they think they're gonNA get Outta Tannehill it's like it's like bringing in oh flocco after having case keenum not do well for here I would just ride Mary Odell and and see if it gets any better and replaced the drafted player the writing is finished with that I do not agree I'm honest really I am flabbergasted that it happened this early in the year as you guys remember in in our one auction dynasty league I completely putted on quarterback it was one of the quarterbacks it took I did that thinking Tanto might start the last two games of the season I never imagined that it would be the situation which Ashley makes me super excited for Tannehill because it makes me feel like they're they're more confident tannahill that I would originally let on this is a really early point in the ear to be turning over this is almost like the transition that you would see if tannahill was like an incoming rookie quarterback drafted in the first round not you know a quarterback to play for another NFL team for years So yeah it's really interesting I mean I'm I'm intrigued to see if Tanna token knew anything better in the office dense but but yeah I think Mariota's his career is going to be in Russia after this building somebody in the building DOC was ready to move on from Mariota Yeah I think that's really all it was I didn't think it was going to happen to like Magara got hurt or something I didn't think it was going to happen just like this quick millicent that I really didn't I even the whole you know change the ten hill at the end of the year I really didn't see the reason the reason for it you know like I mean at that point you might as well just finished it out Mariota and move on like I thought it had to be an injury that would that would pull this to happen and so I mean I honestly think the only thing that makes sense I'm sorry to interrupt but really the only thing that makes sense is they honestly think Tannehill is going to win them more games because right now they're in a position through two and three in that division the Texans and the culture three into the JAGS also two and three like it's it's neck and neck at this point it's not like they're you know some team that's completely out of contention just throwing in the towel.

"Once the they went through and then the next they went to rose. I awesome. And then there's a guy who went undrafted, but I play ball with them in high school. He played. He's a sinner at him. Him to play with him as what is awesome, but to have humanity in my room, two guys who Probo super winning Gaza gave a high level would have them in my room and so excessively. You know, I don't have to go like call me like, hey, you know, what do you think about on Israel? The runner out they watch and they like to do better. Why the watch them say, you know, why did you to this instead of doing this on this route and just sit there and pick their brains and I'm always getting to talk to him and and they're, they're not guys who act like they too big too. You know, we ask questions, they're willing to to answer them. So they have them guys like that. It's school so we know players you gotta told that the team line team. I e I, you gotta have those personal goals. What is what do you? What are you expecting from yourself? Rookie season, honestly, regencies all I wanna do is just to come in and contribute. I can. I mean, it's I got guys who proven level, like I said, and, and so I can't just come in and say, oh, I'm gonna come in and beat the guy. I'm coming. I'm earned my strives in whatever way that that is for me, then I'm gonna do it. You know, it was been that receiver. It's been that guy who comes in whenever they need a break. If it's the guy who's on the field with them at all times, we go eleven personnel. Then I wanna be that guy, but I wanna make sure that I'm giving myself the best opportunity to be on the field. And then when I am on the feel doing all supposed to be doing to win, that's it. All right, man. I really appreciate your time. Mr. sudden say, good luck, man, thank you. All right, Mike. Do you have any any candidate thoughts of your own after talking to Cortlandt, you know you've brought him up before as having potential value in twenty eighteen this sees. Right, but what what do you see from him in day Sean Hamilton? And how do you project that going forward for dynasty owners for dynasty owners? I love both of those guys. I think that's something can he can have a role this year. He's getting very positive, talk coming out of training camp, but it's gonna come down to touchdowns because it won't be volume. There will not be high volume for Cortlandt sudden, unless something were to happen with Damaris Thomas or Emmanuel Sanders, and I'll be surprised actually, we can have a quick conversation very quick if something were to happen to Emmanuel Sanders is it possible that they go to the more refined route runner of day Sean Hamilton instead of elevating Cortlandt Sutton because Sutton and Thomas have very similar play style? Would they want to keep the offense more balance? I would agree with that because Sutton will already be out on the field. If if you've paid attention to the Broncos camp Sutton is on the field a lot. There was a couple days ago a full scrimmage, and they were coming back to to win the game case keenum. And it was, I think, last opportunity and they threw he threw a touchdown pass to the back of the endzone Portland Sutton that was with the Mary's Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders on the field. So case keenum's been looking his way. I do think Sutton has an opportunity for some relevance this season. All right. Well, we'll be back with the mock draft show tomorrow, Friday, Friday, mock draft, head to head to head. That'll be fun while the latest fantasy football news notes information, Jason, have you stop.

"And then you break that up between Gordon between Landry's weaned, do Johnson. I, you know, I am voiding the pass catchers for the Cleveland Browns because you don't know who it's going to be, but their price right now is not disagreeing. I mean, Josh Gordon is, is. Being drafted as if he's the clear cut number one, and he's very well. Let me let me make a counterpoint on the basis of the history of Todd Haley, offensive coordinator for the Cleveland Browns. Historically, Todd Haley's teams have ranked high in Pasadena, six last year ninth year before sixteenth six. Rushing wise, rushing attempts. They've been at the bottom of the league and overall rushing attempts even pittsbur- twenty five fifteen twenty four sixteen fifteen. He likes to throw the ball. He's always done in Arizona in Kansas City. He has pass catching weapons that how would you rank those? Just in a neutral scenario, how would you rank Josh Gordon Jarvis Landry David joke who Antonio Calloway Korey Coleman. I would say varies that in the five total weapons in the league. Top to those are unbelievable weapons for a offense of coordinator who this, there's no doubt here, right? Like in Oakland where we hate Greg Olsen, he's not going to be calling plays here. This is this is like Hugh Jackson, you step back, you did your work at, oh, and sixteen Todd Haley is going to come into this opportunity with a chip on his shoulder against Pittsburgh and all the weapons in the world, obviously wasn't a piece of acquiring tyrod Taylor. I like tyrod dealer. Yeah. I like the pass attempt opportunity for him. So I actually, I have a very contrasting take than the, hey, that's going Cleveland's way based on passing volume. I agree. I think that history bution of the yards and things like that could cause issues to me, but not passing volume. I think it's going to be different than what we saw tyrod Taylor doing buffalo because of Todd Haley. We'll be different. I agree, but the fact that tyrod Taylor is also the the Russian quarterback instead of trying to check down. He will have lower attempts, I believe then than when Baker comes in, right. But that's why said Todd Haley is the biggest addition to this team. It changes things drastically from if you Jackson and company brought in Todd Haley to keep running the the boring, slow everything down, Hugh Jackson offense that he had talked about. That's what he wants to do for years. Then they, they've made an egregious mistake bringing Todd Haley. You can go back to you. Wanna talk about passing volume. You and you brought up the chiefs Dwayne Bowe had one hundred thirty three targets seventy two receptions for eleven hundred yards and fifteen touchdowns in in a season under Todd Haley when he was the head coach of the chiefs. So that's that's. What changes? Everything is Todd Haley and makes these guys interesting, but I will agree with Jason. You can't draft even as much as I love Gordon. You can't draft him and you can't draft charge Jarvis in the top five rounds and the top four rounds. It's just it's overpaying when there are other guys going in that same area that you know are are solidified in their roles intern offense. Do you want Marvin Jones more than you want? Josh Gordon, Mike? Yes. In all scenarios? Yes. A matter how your teams made up Jason, one hundred percent man. It's very interesting. It's. Very into. Oh no, there's a dynasty trade. No, this very, this is a very this is to this one bencher staying put. Yup. Put you. Are you in? Are you in Mike dart? Right? I don't back down. Waterbed let me check my rankings. I trust the talent. I trust Todd Haley to use it correctly, and I believe Josh Gordon wild score, Marvin Jones. And that comes down to the fact that the probably have about the same amount of total receptions. But I think Jeff Gordon will do more with them. I've got Marvin Jones, four spots higher. I'm. Often with that. All right. I, we've run a little long. We are going to we're gonna fit in an interview here. We had the opportunity to talk with Broncos wide receiver, rookie Cortlandt Sutton layer that I think may or may not have fantasy value this specific season with Mary's Thomas in Emmanuel Sanders, but has a bright future ahead of him in dynasty leagues.

"Well, I know strike up like when you fool me once strikeout looking or something. Oh, yes. That's a bad reference. That's a really bad or baseball because you leave that sport. You need three strikes Jason. If you, if you get two strikes, you're still up to bat, you can about sixteen strikes. They're not talking about bowling. Oh, we're not Brown. Sixteen strikes. Oh, in sixteen, Hugh Jackson and company got it on, they did not get it done. Last season. I feel like the quote should go over because you talk about seventy nine was good enough to keep Marvin Lewis job own sixteen was good enough to keep Hugh Jackson's job. It's all about, you know, the momentum in the locker room not on the field, Mike, they know what he Jackson is, and they brought in Todd Haley, their offers new offense, coordinator, negative wins this year. One can't do it hero. They're gonna find a way life fines away. Gosh, is different team is that when we get to Jason picture down behind Andy, honestly, the pig only went up recently. That's the that wasn't a last year, was it? Yes, it was not during the season. I'm just wondering when we take that down, you cannot take it down. You can take it down when. When he's fired, which will be never because he's he's a genius exterior. All right. Here's the summary of the Cleveland Browns offense. We'll we'll paint a rosier picture than the one we introduced. I'm just being jocular over here because I think that the Browns are interesting. It's fun to to make light. You have those at the bottom because that's how you survive this a totally different team, though. Yeah, no is acre well, he's in New York. Notice Sean Kaiser quarterback. He has been traded to the Green Bay Packers. New players, arriving rookie, quarterback Baker Mayfield the number one overall pick tyrod Taylor acquired to be the starter in Cleveland at the quarterback position, getting all the first team reps, they drafted a running back, Nick, Chubb draft capital was not something they were missing victory. Yes, draft capital. No Nick, Chubb arrives Carlos Hyde arrives Jarvis Landry welcome to the team Antonio Calloway lot of hype on Tonio Calloway away wide receiver. Rookie rookie. Look there. Are a lot of new pieces on this roster, Todd, Haley, offensive coordinator. I mean, that's a huge addition to this team joke who year too tied in year year. Two of getting Josh Gordon Beck going sixteen. No, they can't because they have Corey Coleman, Jason. Well, they do dragon, dragging them down. But let's let's talk realistic expectations for this offense. That's what the fantasy owners wanna know. They wanna know what can I expect from do Johnson who has been consistently a great pass catching running back now. Nick chub and Carlos Hyder are atop the depth chart. Duke Johnson will have a role obviously, but his role takes hit. Does it? Yes. Jarvis Landry takes a big chunk away from Duke Johnson, in my opinion, you had Duke was who was the feature pass catching running back. I think he can still be that, but they were moving them all around me. Duke Johnson was taking snaps out of the slot this past year. That's not going to happen when you have given Jarvis Landry supreme slot wide receiver, seventy five and a half million dollars that that job, that part of your job description is now gone. Yeah, I agree. Also, I think that Jarvis Landry is going to have a hard time replicating the value. He's had this. I brought this up on the argument against Josh Gordon, but if you take a look at rookie and we're talking quality, rookie quarterbacks who played all sixteen games, and we're in the top ten since two thousand in passing attempts and you give that average along with tyrod career-high. There's not a lot of passing work to be done here. I, I don't think this team is going to be in the top ten in passing attempts this season. And if you just give them middle of the road numbers like their their sixteenth in passing attempts..

"Aged green is personally for in my opinion, personally responsible for the reason why a top five pick is so incredible this year because you're in the top five, that means you get your you get one of those five running backs who we all want on our team, and then AJ green is going in the back of the second round. If you can start your draft with David Johnson and and age read. Yeah, AJ green has had over a thousand yards in six of his seven seasons. He has had seven or more touchdowns in five of his seven seasons. And last year he was, he was still able to get over thousands even with the lowest catch. Percentage of his career, and I put that more on the offense. And then I do put it on AJ green. I have an incredible stat credit to redder that I noticed this. It was about AJ green and he posted it yesterday compares Julio Jones in aged green. And if you look at seven seasons, right, the seven seasons, the age agreed and Julio Jones have had and you take all their statistics career yards. Everything. They have averaged exactly one hundred sixty six point, two, five, seven points, fantasy points on the season for them, the readers both player and they these guys that came out together, their players that they came out of high school together. It's just crazy. They had the exact same fantasy production on average over seven years. Nuts. Yeah, let's that that is not into Julio's credit. He'd been. He has more missed games. A per game basis? Yeah, a little different, but so where's the secret value on this roster? Is it it's a player like Mark Walton running back, rookie behind mixing and geo Bernard. I like Mark Walton allot long-term, but Joe mixon is going to be given every opportunity to be the starter Giovanni Bernard is is still there at least for this season. I think next year the Bengals may move on from geo Bernard, and then Mark Walton becomes interesting, but Jubran yards showed that he still had some stuff this past year. He was. He's still an excellent pass catcher. He can't be the guy, which is why they drafted Joe mixon in the second round. So Mark Walden isn't he? He's not interesting to me, but it's it's John Ross, the draft capital I was fully out fully out on John Ross, you've changed? No. The only reason I was out on him was because Marvin Lewis hates rookies and he doesn't give them playing. Talking about last year? Yes, it wasn't. This was not a my John Ross last year, which I hopefully I was emphasizing this is not a, I don't like John Ross, the player, it's I don't like his situation. He's going to a team that will not use him despite drafting him in the top ten. And then he finishes the year with negative fantasy points because Marvin Lewis punished him. And now we know that we, we've heard that maybe John Ross was playing with a an injury that he did not tell the team about. So all reports have John Ross as healthy. All reports have. John Ross is still being the fastest man in universe. Unbelievable, he's he's getting open and he's making plays, and he's going very, very late. And you have to keep in mind that if you don't remember the first two weeks of the Cincinnati Bengals last year, man, they didn't score. It was they didn't Ray or a touchdown for two consecutive weeks. And that's when Bill as took over as the offense of coordinator. He didn't get training. Camp eating, get to install his system with with, you know, prior with preseason, this is Bill lasers. I training camp and going through installing his system. So yeah, I, I like Ross, I I love mixing and I'm staying away from Tyler I for because what about what about Andy, Dalton, we, we've talked building him up off, so I'm not. He burned me last. I think he's a great late round. Pick he had. He was great when he was agreeing with Gruden. He was a Great Lakes, late round pick last season. That's what we said. Yeah, he, he was and he started any was who weeks hor horrific bad. That was that was a swing and a miss a strike. What do they call that a strikeout..

"Hundred yards and seven touchdowns from Crabtree in the sixth round, then on probably happy with that. Yeah, it's okay. I think John Brown also provides for you know, the early strain, the toy train is been roll the Andy. We're gonna need that hype rain on John Brown because here he comes. Brown. League is of all the players that toy train high strain fits where I was going to go. I really hope that John Brown is healthy. I really, really do. Yeah, I'm rooting for him. I, I will say this for for Joe flacco. This is the best wide receiver core he's had in since Steve Smith is left. This is the best wide receiver core had by right by a mile. So there is an opportunity for him to step his game back up and be one of those two quarterback league. Late draft picks steals, you know if he can do that now, Lamar Jackson is electric and for fantasy because he's so such a a weapon on the ground you, you know, if he gets in, he's going to be a top five weekly option. So you know, you gotta keep your eyes on the Mark Jackson, speaking of keeping your eyes on the mar Jackson. We get to do that ten night. Oh Jackson, we'll probably be seen quite a bit. More so than Joe flacco because it is the hall of fame game. This is the I want to see Anthony Miller on the field. Yeah, I wanna see, Lamar Jackson. I wanna see Hayden Hearst, and I wanna see Mark Andrews. Yeah, I was going to bring it up the tight end position. Joe flacco at least in the past we've seen it with with Dennis Pitta, massive volume, massive, owing Pitta. He misses. I'm not gonna go there. No. But the tight end position way we've wanted someone to emerge. We wanted max Williams to emerge didn't happen. What is your level of comfort with a rookie? None. Yeah, hero out agree. I'm excited. I wanna watch if there was just one of them I would. I would. You know, that's why I wanna see tonight and through preseason because if someone doesn't, you know, maybe I maybe I look sideways at in the sixteenth round. I mean, I, I just don't have a lot of excitement for that. Fair bangles who farewell Brennan. Lavelle. Let's talk Bengals Senator John rocks, seventy nine last season. I guess seventy nine was enough to keep Marvin Lewis around kind of a lost year. I mean, that's that's kind of there are no metrics that made me excited about what happened on the field last year for the Bengals seven, nine with the thirty first ranked rushing yards per game, the twenty seventh ring passing yards per game. This was a team that ran the fewest plays on offense in the entire NFL. Makes sense. Consider else that way. If you own a Bengal you felt like they were never on the field. The stats I gave my argument for Joe mixon fire player. The fact that the Bengals only ran the ball three hundred seventy seven times is is you know, it's outlandish. It's crazy. Never happened in the Marvin Lewis era. And I, you know, this team is going to be improved this year. Offense getting brand fell out. I remember early in the offseason reading the reports on John Ross hearing how players and coaches were talking about him. This is well before minicamps or OTA's just off season work. I started sunsetting Brennan. LA fell in in, you know, in my early projections and I think getting Ross out there with AJ green, a better left tackle, which is monumentally important. If you go back and watch the film, getting the ball to Joe mix and more. This is actually one of those sneaky offenses that I'm excited about and I and I don't think that. There's any buzz for the Bengals. I don't think I haven't heard anybody excited. They're the Bengals are like, I don't want a piece aged greens getting too old. The office is bad. Omens of line is padded. I forgets heard right, exactly. Ross do a last year. I think that these players are all representing pretty good values for where they're being draft..

"I mean to be a thousand yard rushers very difficult. Sixty game. Sure. But you have in mind eight last year. You have to keep in mind as well. It was week five before Alex Collins started to get double digit carries right. Okay. No, I I'm not really trying to make a point against him. I love him. I think Allison's is a great value and I think they want to run the ball and I think you're going to have to run the ball. They were eleventh in yards per game on the ground last season despite the turnover at the running back position and because of Alex Collins hit, they just don't have the money invested in him that guarantees his roles the same way they didn't with Terrance west. 'cause we're talking about turns west, less offseason degree has value, and the other risk is Kenneth Dixon. Jason brought up though. He's struggling with injuries, but Kenneth Dixon is good enough to push Alex Collins for the starting job. What have you guys heard about John Brown? Willie Snead, Michael Crabtree in the past catchers, dishonesty, excited about one or the other. I'm not a Crabtree fan. I brought this up on the live show. He's a player. I'm sunsetting. He's a player that I'm treating Eric decker, Jeremy Macklin this year. He's been traded to a team with one hundred and eighty nine yards of passing per game. And I think he's been traded there and all of metro wasn't tree. He signed. Sorry. Yes, but he's, he's, he's now arrived at a team that. Isn't a pass producing team, and he is major metrics all went down significantly last year. I don't like he's still a touchtone guy to me. The yardage may be down from what we're used to. We're not going to round pick right now. But guys Torrey Smith had a year of seven, your eight year of eleven touchdowns and Kwame Boldin who at that time was considered for old considered very old. It's. Well, considered sunsetting. He had seven touchdowns his first year with Baltimore. Are you going to be happy with seven touchdowns from Crabtree in the sixth round, sit in the six round. If you give me seven touchdowns and six hundred yards, he's not going to be six hundred yards. It'll be round eight hundred. If you're saying eight.

"They weren't. They weren't put off by what happened last year? Yeah. I think that's I think the the greater point is when you. Join a team midseason with an offense like that, Todd Haley. You're not going to massive role. And then if you get banged up, it's even worse ravens. All right. The ravens at nine and seven last season saw the emergence of Alex Collins in that offense. He was one of the story lines of last season when you hoped, and we all going into the season where Danny Woodhead fans, right? We knew that the role for Danny Woodhead would be big, and then Danny Woodhead was hampered by the hamstring to be fair. The first half of the first game the workload was fantastic for Danny Woodhead. Life was good of great thirty minutes. No more Mike Wallace, no more Jeremy Macklin. No more Benjamin wants and no more Danny Woodhead. This is a brand new leave turned over the past catchers. We've got Michael Crabtree, John Brown, Willie Snead, all brand new. We've drafted Hayden Hearst and Mark Andrews at the tight end position. We've drafted another quarterback in the first round, Lamar Jackson with the thirty second pick of the first round, and suddenly the the train is role in for Joe flacco and how great camp is. And you know what? What is this team really offer you last year? A hundred eighty nine yards per game. That's what they threw for. That's what you'll flacco could produce. It's not ideal for fantasy football. I mean, distribute that, however, you want and you're not gonna be happy with a single option on this team. Where do you find value in Baltimore? Alex Collins? Yeah, I am. I look I I will completely recognize the risks, right? He was not the guy they wanted to be the starter. The risk is in his draft is built already into his draft. Exactly, right. Mike, the risk is why he's being drafted where he's being drafted. So if that's already built in the upside is not built in there. The upside is that he's the legit. Starter for sixteen games. A guy who was great last season, you know, his yards per carry were were outstanding, and his strength of schedule is easier this season than it was last season against the run. Plus the biggest worry, the biggest threat. Alex Collins is Kenneth Dixon who has been struggling with a hamstring issue and we, we talked about this, you know, we talk about this all the time, but a hamstring issues specifically is one of the things that has a tendency to keep creeping back up as the season goes along. You know. So I, I think Alex Collins is a great value of Aiken, draft him at his current average draft price. Do you taking him every time? Well, let's let's put that to the test. Okay, because I know he's a, he's he's right at the end of the third round beginning of the fourth round depending on your league format. 401. NPR leagues right now, I think is a couple of picks higher in standard leagues, but let's put that to the test to see if that values baked in. Okay. Are you taking Alex Collins? I head of in these are the players five players going behind him currently? Good Jae Gye would rather, Alex Collins JJ I would rather have Alex Collins. I know you guys are probably higher on jayjay would take Gye. Would you rather go with your your boy love Kenyan Drake or Alex one hundred percent would rather have Alex Collins. And then what about RIC? Penny rookie running back for the Seattle Seahawks another one of my favorites, but he's eight hundred s Fleming. No, I I would take Alex Collins over all of those players. I would take Collins over penny. So I, I mean, I really do believe you've got a team that historically, the ravens. You know in Harbaugh era, right? They're running backs as a team always produce. I mean, they've they've got Justin four set came in and was great. They're running backs are valuable. If you could pick the right guy, and I think it's Alex Collins. Here's the last thing I'll say for Collins is last year fifteen games because this was another late addition to sue Baltimore, but in fifteen games and nine hundred seventy three rushing yards in in so people, sixteen games, he's easily easily thousand yard rusher last year, and you can get him in the fourth round. There's Lamar Miller is going behind him is Lamar Miller thousand yard rusher based on the way I feel like the volumes looking..

"So that's where I sit on that juju Smith Schuster. Ham ended up at camp. James Washington player. I love Jason and I, we disagree. Maybe we can carry that that love hate throughout his entire career, Jason, but I love we can do it. I think we, we can carry that. I guess I feel like there's a lot of disagreement with the Steelers because I, I really do believe in James Washington's role. We've seen big been make a lot out of a little. Not that I, I don't think he'll Rogers a bad player. Don't think he's a great player seen him have value because of Big Ben and the the passing attempts on this offense. I think James Washington's a great player. Yeah. But when you, I Rogers had actual value that was when Martavis was not there even some other third in yards per game in passing. But I don't think there's enough there for a third wide receiver. James, Washington has the talent to give you a couple of big play out the season, but you're never going to be able to trust other than maybe. The matchup is great. So you throw him into your DFM more in a negative fashion. Did you then he does yen a positive fashion to himself with that? Yeah. Sure. But mar, I mean, do was fine when Martavis Bryant was there last year, so I don't. I don't think James Washington is a step above Martavis Bryant. I don't. I don't think he takes that much way. The one thing you have to be careful of juju is last year. His efficiency was it was not sustainable. His touchdown rate perceptions. I mean, do is a great player. I believe that fully, but he's not going to be the number one target. He's not going to keep the same touchdown pace that he had last year. He'll be valuable, but I, you know, I don't see him. You know, I've I've cooled a little bit on, you know, the ability for him to crack that top to all of that said, as as Mike mentioned earlier, James, Washington, great op do Smith Schuster great player, Antonio Brown best in the business Levy on Pell, unbelievable, pass catcher. Big Ben is going to be value this, right? And and you know, when you draft a guy late like that, look at the opening schedule. Cleveland is week one. If they're if they're holding back left bell week one, go Big, Ben, Kansas City. Their second there is gone. That's week to Tampa. Bay is week three. Their first difficult matchup is Baltimore and week four, but that's home big been. So I, I like Big Ben as a as a draft, pick love him in best ball, and I'm totally fine. Drafting him as my streaming candidate start the year. Good news when when Martavis didn't play that one game juju had a nice pace. Yeah, that is very let me read this point extrapolate his numb game only for entertainment purpose. Love it. One hundred twelve or sections pretty good. Sixteen touchdowns very nice. Three thousand eighty eight yards baby. So Martavis is gone Jews good for three thousand. That's that's put it in the books. I talk about Vance McDonnell. Jesse, James disagree. Again on this point. I know we have answering Donald. We do have them in in as a potential sleeper at the tight end position because he is he's far more athletic and more talented than Jesse James's? Yes. My concern is loyalty to Jesse. James, the intangibles of Jesse, James, what he does on the field outside of fantasy that will cause Vance McDonald did not get enough of a snap percentage enough targets..

"Jesse James opportunity at the tide imposition on a team that has had value with heath Miller. In the past. You know, James, Washington, the rookie we'll talk about him in terms of the off season moves big overview stuff Martavis Bryant, wide receiver traded to the Oakland Raiders no longer a part of that offense. James Washington wide receiver drafted to replace him in that role. What's the headline for you when you talk about the pits receivers last year, they were the number four, ranked offense of line passing yards per game. Third in the league passing plays on the season. Seventh in the league. Are we talking about big been as that streaming value or do you want them all season long? I would. I like going in on on Big Ben for a later round quarterback. He's he has top-five upside. Yes, we, we, we really haven't seen Big Ben put together an entire full season. But last year after the bye week, Big Ben in points per game was the number one fantasy quarterback, and that was for a a nice long stretch. So yes, I'm very interested in drafting and because you don't have to pay that much in the draft. You're not paying, you know, desha Watson Carson, Wentz levels. You can wait until the wait until the second half of the draft. But the headline you cannot skip over Antonio Brown and levian bell they are. They are absolutely the headline and you have Levy on bell with three seasons of over twelve hundred, rushing yards. Three seasons of ninety..

"Let's get divisional. Quick announcement. We're going to continue our divisional journey, but tomorrow we're gonna take a break and we're going to jump into a mock draft live on the show, not only that, but my popular requests, we're also going to each draft our own team. Sometimes we draft together in the mock draft episodes. Sometimes we draft separately tomorrow will be an opportunity for us to go head to head to head and you guys can vote on what team you like the most. It'll be fun. So tomorrow will be do a live mock draft. We'll get back into the divisional breakdowns next week and some new stuff. Today's the AFC north last year. The Steelers were thirteen and three, the ravens, nine and seven. The Bengals are seven and nine. The Cleveland Browns were own sixteen nowhere to go, but up. Before we lateral exists before we talk about the, I do want to circle back briefly to that read at post. We, I posted yesterday and I posted it with a purpose that said, hey, look, you guys listen to the show. We've been doing this. This is our fourth full season. How do we make the show better? What do you love about the show? We got some cool feedback, right? Like if you're a new listener now we sometimes we remember we think that you've been here since January a year round show, and some people have said, look makes you mentioned the player name and position in the team a little more often because you're listening in the car and we'll be ranting about a certain player and you don't remember who we're talking about. Great feedback. We don't know the rookies Sony, Michelle trade. You guys were talking. Don't even show running back for the New England, Patriots rookie draft grape who al-salam already. I just want to throw this out since we were talking about trade. He I had seen was not at practice this very opportune time to trade Jason. Mike is teaching you how to trade. I'm just reporting that. I mean, he got nicked up and he's not practicing. This is true. He, he's yours for free. But no, we got a lot of really good feedback like we were talking about with the the train drums, and we always, you know, we wanna make the show better. We wanna be receptive to feedback. We want to keep it what it is, but I just want to say, thank you. I mean there's six hundred eighty comments on their from the redder. Some giving a shout out to slash are slash fantasy football for breaking down giving us good feedback and look, we're listening. We want to make this show great. We want you to win. Yes, and you're gonna win. If you keep it here all season long, you don't win it at the draft. You set the table and then then you eat from weeks one through seventeen. No, you do not won Shik one song shame on you week, seventeen years. What do you do in week? Seventeen. After you set the table you. So you're taking. Clear the table. Look, if you're eating is just desert as champ. NASCAR site brought football, the strength get out of here. You play DFS. Here's a fixed Brooks. If there's ever a player that we're talking about for so long that you're like, man, these people gotta know who that is just jumping just jumping with that. Bold, abrasive voice. All right. Okay. You got. And if you do it too much, we'll tell you to stop. All right. Let's start here Steelers. Oh, the Steelers. So much fire on this offense. Some offenses in the NFL you just want you want a lot of pieces jet. Jason just got a juju Smith Schuster bobblehead positioned on his desk so he can see the star that he has fallen in love with. But last year, great season thirteen and three, we know Levy on bell. He's at the top, but I'm curious how we really see the the wide receivers breaking down beyond Antonio, Brown, curious to see and maybe discussed the Vance McDonald..

"Here's my pick and I'm gonna make spicy comparison that people will boo. Oh, I'm ready. The pig is Josh Gordon boo Russell Russia move Cao Cao someone was gonna pick this just I want to read you a stat line. Josh Gordon twenty thirteen one thousand six hundred forty six yards. Nine touchdowns catch rate of fifty five percent. What year. I want also redo another year was that was twenty thirteen. I wanna read you and other stat line. So your argument against against against Josh Gordon is that he did it, but that was two thousand three hundred. No, no, no. But curious what year that? Okay. I was twenty thirteen. He heard. I read through the Tony had eighty seven receptions that year. Okay. I'm gonna read you another stat line from a different player. This player had hundred twenty four targets sixty nine receptions one thousand three hundred thirteen yards and seventeen touchdowns in nineteen ninety eight and he had the exact same catch percents. And that player was Randy moss. That's the season that gets Josh Gordon number one this year. It's not eighty. Seven receptions for one thousand six hundred forty six yards. It's sixty nine receptions, but he scores a touchdown game, and I don't think it's impossible for Josh Gordon store touchdown a game this bear in mind. The overarching principle here is we are not picking Josh Gordon to do this. This is who can do it from a physical ability standpoint with what tyrod Taylor is good at if you throw the ball up to Josh Gordon and he is on this season, you could. He could score fifteen sixteen touchdowns who was Randy mosses quarterback in nineteen ninety eight. I I'm not certain who wasn't nineteen ninety eight. It could have been. I don't think it was Culpepper first year. Was it? Yes, it was called pepper, right? It might take crazy pills over here. It was Culpepper. I just didn't know if it was in his rookie year. Okay. I can tell you that in about two seconds. Thanks the internet now that was cutting him that was cutting him. Yeah. There you go or might have been Brad Johnson, why? My Johnson might have been in there too, but it's raining moss and that's where you're going to do your comparing to Randy moss. But that's the season you get same catch percentage. And guess what? Eighteen point nine yards per reception for Josh Gordon in that twenty thirteen season nineteen yards perception for Randy moss. That's the type of season you get from guy after have big plays. Hassi big plays gotta be going and getting has touchdowns for and I highly recommend going back in listening to the Phillies show where we debate, Josh Gordon, Mike, and I do you want more information and Nonni. Well, I think the correct information that you brought up in that show is that that I'm conceding as not going to be eighty seven receptions for Gordon. All right. I already told you about the listener league. Let's get into the news. News and notes from around the league. All right. Some news broke yesterday during the show about Josh Doksan. We brought it up. Redskins goes, Jay groome now says, Josh Doksan's, shoulder quote, checked out fine. I will take it no broken collarbone. No take AC joint devastation. So we'll see how soon he gets back. We felt bad, Josh, Jackson, literally introduced the show yesterday and was on the show, and then bad news broke during the show about him. I'm sorry, Josh, I'm sorry. But now it's turning the right direction since he's not on the show today. So that's good. Being a c-. Reaper for nothing. Oh, I know. Just no, just take just take the day off. Man. Go to the mall. We have to send out a presser every time we got someone open it up, pretzel kill kit. A pretzel at the mall. Cortlandt I would say talking to Cortlandt Sutton, is he Brooks, he on the show today, do you? All right. There's a Sutton interview at the end of the show today. Thanks for knowing what's going on. Well, here's the thing. Oh, dang, it is in the show notes Brooks that everything right. I can't blame Brooks. It's all on me. You can still blame me. It's your fault thing. "You cannot choose one of them, but what wide receiver outside of those can finish. Number one, who would be the guy that you'd pick as the best chains to finish number one overall, I really like Jason's answer personally, but because he is going to give that answer, I wanted to give someone else who I think has a a chance to finish the number one guy. And that's the fond digs from the Minnesota Vikings. And the reason I went with him is because there are not many wide receivers who can run routes at. The level that digs can this Antonio Brown separates himself in the NFL by by having quick twitch speed and separating from covers getting wide open Stefan digs has four, four, six speed last year and fourteen games yet eight touchdowns. He also gives you those high ceiling games. That's what you need. If a guy's actually going to finish number one, overall, he has to be able to come through with at least three just monster game. You're talking one hundred fifty plus yards in two touchdowns Stefan digs can do that. The he thrived in his new role where they moved him from the slot. They moved them to outside. He was getting short touchdowns getting long touchdowns with the addition of Kirk cousins. I think that's the fun digs actually has a chance to finish as the number one wide receiver. Yeah, this question was actually a lot harder. If you go back and listen to our New York, live show that we did. We had a quick question of what running. Back outside of the top ten has chance to finish the number one down one. I felt like there was a handful of options here when I was I was president throws like, man, this is really tough to actually have someone that I think if you're gonna finish number one, you have to have immense volume. Yeah, and talent. And those guys are usually going in the top ten, the one guy I think that has the opportunity and the talent this season is a marker. Amari Cooper has pretty much been the wide receiver to for his team over the last couple years with Michael Crabtree. There that get rid of Crabtree. Jon Gruden talked about how much he wants to send to offense around Amari Cooper and say what you will about his down year last year, his drops. There were certainly things you saw on the field that were not good, but you can't say he's not a talented wide receiver. You know he's a top ten NFL draft, pick the number one wide receiver drafted in that draft class, I believe, white, no Cooper win. I Cooper went for, so he's hyper talent. And this is going to be his year to really step forward into that. Maybe he gets up to one hundred fifty targets I and has that opportunity Phanom a talented issue at the Mark Hooper or physical ability. I mean, when you watch the highlights from that Kansas City game last season, when he catches a twenty yard en route, and then turns on the jets beats everybody the outside. It's just Kenny overcome the mental hurdles of being relied upon. Can he beat the number-one coverage? Can he catch the ball in important situations and ultimately the resolution for wide receiver you would think, right? There's some talk of JJ Nelson, Arizona, like maybe being on the roster bubble because he cannot catch the ball while in training camp and he's been linked to only being deep route guy. Yeah, I wouldn't limit that to training camp also his career..
