"You are listening to the best of the Sean Hannity Show. Sean Hannity Show Thermonuclear. Mm. May assault on fake news Hannity's on right now. 25 to the top of the hour. 809 41, Shawn, You want to be a part of the program? You know, I said this before. It is amazing. The anger that has come out against James Carville. James Carvell. I've had actually had fun debating him. A number of times is actually a fun guy to be around He loves I mean, he loves l issued Tiger football. Oh, my gosh. Actually, there was a speech before Championship game was supposed to be a debate between me and him one year. And all he talked about was football, football football, and that's all the crowd wanted to talk about someone I I give up. I just I just sat down and I got entertained and paid at the same time. I said Fine. I don't have to work. It was pretty. It was pretty funny moment. And but one thing that he is not is stupid. One thing that I think Bill Clinton did that was smart. His entire campaign and his entire presidency and his entire post presidency is he had a kitchen cabinet. Not people. I agree with some of whom I don't even like, but it included Carvel. I do like it included Begala and included Rahm Rahmbo Dead Fish. It included Georgie Stephanopoulos, and every day they went over the message of the day and had a deal with Whatever controversy might be emerging, especially during impeachment. Monica Lewinsky. I did not have sex with that woman, not a single time getting back to work for the American people. You know that sort of thing. Here's Carvel. It's fascinating to me because I think this is gonna be far bigger. And the minds of the American people in terms of the backlash against woke ism. Cancel culture is, Um, listen, in my view, if you wanted In politics. You should speak the language of the people who should speak clear direct English and address people as address each other, not like the humanities department at Amherst wants you to addressed. Everybody. E is this the kind of an issue is this Is this the kind of an issue James that is impossible to pole. Because people are going to lie to a poster, but when they go in there, and they close that curtain, they're going to do what they want to do. I don't have to put all right after the 2020 congressional elections, it was a huge eruption of democratic carcass where people correctly pointed out. That this whole defund the police stuff cost US congressional seat. I can look at the voting results and real grand bounty. I can look at the voting results in Miami Day. I can relate conversations that I have with people every day. People want to live like this scared to address an issue because it might come out the wrong way and No one is using their language except for you know some of our people on television. If you go toe benefit need. Whoa. Let's just go Listen to NPR. Yeah, I'll leave it out of my truck radio, so I'll never fall asleep. You gotta admit that's pretty funny. And James Carville's not dumb and I think, but but it's only getting worse. You know, it was very, very telling as we're leading into the joint speech before Congress of Joe Biden How every squad member led by Congresswoman I. Cossio, Cortez, Alexandria, Cossio Cortez, the real speaker of the House. Pelosi, speaker in name only is that they all took credit for Joe's agenda, and the reality is the truth is she's right, and so is Congresswoman Omar and Congresswoman Presley and other squad members, and they're all patting themselves on the back because they know they're setting the agenda. Bernie Sanders knows Probably He couldn't have gotten his agenda this far. Had he been elected, and I think they're actually shocked by what the backlash to it all. The reckless spending the policies that are job killing it. Zeynep ver going toe work, and it is a guarantee whiplash in terms of a political earthquake in the other direction. That's what the result of all of this is gonna be. By the way, Linda, you know what everyone keeps asking me about Why does why is Linda? Why won't she let her child be normal and have a happy meal? Everywhere I go. Everyone's asking about Little Liam and why poor little Liam and doesn't get a happy meal. Never had a happy meals. Five years old. Little Liam wants a happy meal and they're actually asking Meteo. See if I can have an intervention with you an intervention? First of all, he wants to be normal. Can we start there? Nobody wants to be normal. My child is he's exceptional. We'll tell you Child does not want any chicken nuggets from McDonald's. He wants to eat my air. Fire chicken, Okay, but he's never He has nothing to compare it to compare it to. There's no baseline comparison. He's never had a McDonald's French fry in his life. This poor kid. So do you remember this from your parents? When you were a kid? They used to say, Be happy with what you got. And then when you get older, you realize that you were content with those things because you never had the other things. So if he makes a decision when he's you know, a teenager that he wants to fill his body with toxin, that's his job. His decision Okay, So you're not gonna let this kid what chili's 21 make the decision that he can have McDonald's? Basically, Yeah. And informed decision might see. I know what goes in those chicken nuggets. I've cut them open is disgusting. I'm sorry. I think that the audience agrees with me. They're just afraid to say it out loud. That doesn't mean you know the audience did not agree with you. We had a pole up on Hannity dot com. I won 85 to 15%. I think that that pole is biased. Do you want to know why the pole was not biased? But this is not losing Sean Hannity website based upon the Sean Hannity show, Okay, you know, they're kind of going to sleep on against remember when I wanted to run the tape of Leo to point on Terrell. That's true. You did lose that one time lost it. I mean, I wanted to run out of the tapes. When Leo used to. I used to piss him off so much. He would rip off his mic and rip out his ear piece and he walked off the show. So funny stories. So you know, Leon are good friends. We've known each other as long as he's been coming on the show. As long as I've been working here almost 17 years scary. And Ah, it was really funny. I was talking him the other day he goes. Remember when I hung up on you. I'm like, Oh, yeah, I remember those days. I mean, I used to like he'd have guessed segments. He gets so many like, I can't even talk to you. Linda need hang up. Like so many times, and now he's like I'm so sorry. Did I would never do that again. Well, I mean, it's such a good dude. I bet you he doesn't eat McDonald's. I bet he probably does He make Donald Bet you he does not. Look. We'll do a quick poll here. All right now don't hang up. After we asked one question, John and Missouri do you like.

"Now the best of Chris Plante. You know this idea This metaphor of a boot straps started off as a joke, because it's a physical impossibility to lift yourself up by a bootstrap by your shoe laces. It's physically impossible. The whole thing is a joke. She's a member of Congress in good standing with the Democrat Party on a hero of the media. Ah, yes, Sandy. There's Sandy Cortez, Alexandria, Casio Cortez in high school. She was Sandy Sandy. Well, happy Wednesday to you and welcome it's it's hump Day it someday. Whereas Hillary calls it build a what? Never mind. Just keep moving, Happy, happy Once they hear the fight continues, President Trump and his team continuing the brawl across the country from Arizona to Georgia to Pennsylvania. The legal teams, the political cames lots of interesting stuff going on there. Pennsylvania have Ted Cruz and Pennsylvania Republicans calling for the United States Supreme Court to take up a very important issue in Pennsylvania. The president continues to throw punches, and the media continues to be smug and smirking. And the usual sort of Democrat party stuff working for the dams and not the truth. Not reality. I more and more. Yeah, yeah, It's not gonna make any difference in the end, of course, but more and more You are hearing people say, Gee, it would be really nice if we had a media that was legitimate and you know Help the public engaged in a well informed public debate on the great issues of our day, But it doesn't seem to be in the cards. At least at this point. They continue to do their their work, You know, you know they're working over their work is And it's not good work. It's not good at all, not not by a long shot. Great shot. But we've got audio for you on on a variety of topics, as you might imagine, in a number of big big stories that some continuing and some cropping up because Even outside of all of this, there's a little bit of real world stuff going on that that isn't getting a lot of attention as well. Now the vote fraud story, of course, Front and center and the president and the Supreme Court. Is being asked to hear challenge Pennsylvania's mail in ballots. The mail in ballots are a big deal. President Trump is talking about those for months on the lead up to the election and problems we were going to have, predictably and then we have the problems in the Media didn't seem to be aware of the fact that anybody said we're gonna have problems. They don't actually follow the news. One of the things I've noticed over the years is that people in the media and the media typically don't actually follow the news. They have no idea what was in yesterday's papers. And they have no memory of what happened A month ago, much less three years ago or five years ago. God forbid we are, of course at 88863096258886309625 this guy we played audio this guy yesterday. Gabe Sterling Gabriel Sterling. He was the Georgia elections chief. "You'll get the inside story that no one else has and the behind the scenes chatter that the mainstream media doesn't even know about this is the Sean Hannity show. I twenty five till the top of the hour. The great one Levin, by the way, is book, number one New York Times yet, again, great news for him, and it's a great book on freedom of the press. Anyway, he interviewed, we've had him on the show a lot to Clinton pollster and Democrats strategist Mark Penn about how the current Democrats focus on impeachment, and now it's hurting them with the American people. It's it's it's way worse than what anybody seeing at this time. If you're reading polls for twenty twenty I'm telling you, it's just just throw it in the fireplace. It's worthless for a couple of reasons. Donald Trump does not poll like any other politician, especially any presidential candidate because there's too many people that, you know, what I have so many people that I know they're never going to answer a pollsters question. Also polls have never caught up with the fact you know, this to higher percentage in some cases of cell phone usage. But there's also a big percentage of people that don't want to argue with a pollster, and then, like, yeah, we like Trump too bad. You can go to help. That's pretty much their attitude and they like his policies. They like his success. They like his fight. They liked that he is a disruptor. They liked that. He is an iconic class. They liked that. He says, what he means means what he says any fights like hell for everything he believes it because it is refreshing, you know, people ask, why did you how did you know this about it. I said, because I've known him for twenty some odd years because we were out there. Linda how true is this point? Wizar- a lot of conservatives leading into 2016 that had doubts about his conservatism. And they said, well, what about this democrat that he donated to what about that democrat that he donated to? What about how do you know that? He's really pro-life. He's now been the most pro-life president in modern American history, along with vice president Pence, but he kept his promise on the tax cuts originalists on the court, and you know, but we went out there, the tall part of a tree, the shortest lamb longest limb. I guess at that point. You know, a little twig hanging on a leaf that remain from last fall telling everybody that I'm that he meant what he said, the same with ending burdensome bureaucracy. He meant it and it's been a -ffective as relates to energy independence. You want wealth creation in America. You want the standard of living for the forgotten men and women in this country that deserve it most, you want now that we are free of any need for the lifeblood of our economy, oil and gas. And now that we know we've got all these resources that Democrats influenced by environmental extremists have prevented us from ever tapping. Now, remember, we're still using oil and gas, except we're importing it. That is until Donald Trump becomes president. But we have more natural resources available to us than the Mideast combined. And if you really now that we're energy independent and a net exporter of energy. You really want to hurt Putin o-, we figure out the best way, the most efficient way, the most cost effective way to get our energy resources to western Europe. And guess what? Putin is on his knees. That is their economy. It's not the basis of our economy, but it will be the wealth creation of our economy, and it will single handedly, be the one thing that raises the standard of living for the Americans that deserve it the most these jobs in the energy industry are real career jobs. You know, they'll train you to be a truck driver. Eighty grand starting pay and all the overtime, you can handle you get the pipelines on tap, the fracking in place, and more discovered we know, vast resources you get all of this all of the. This up to the level of production where we can literally create millions of jobs in this country. It will raise the standard of living, and all those people. And it's always their numbers, but they're real, people real families. Real lives. You know, the thirteen million under Biden Obama that ended up on food stamps, because of their crappy economic policies, and their redistribution policies, and their tax the rich policies, and their burdensome regulation policies. Yeah. Those thirteen million eight million more that they put an on in poverty, as a result of their policies, that now those disproportionately impacted by those negative socialist policies that Democrats stupidly wanted double triple quadruple down on vis-a-vis the new green deal that is death to the American economy. That is a prescription absolutely for poverty. It'll drag this country into a depression faster than you can blink an eye. If we get rid of the lifeblood of our economy oil gas all. Oh, competitiveness is eliminated in terms of the economic economic machine of this country. It's gone. And it's just a fantasy that these people believe in is if Celinda wasn't bad enough. But this is where they're headed. And the problem is, and this is what Mark Penn was saying, is that, you know, now, we've lived through the biggest Tokes ever perpetrated on the American people. And now we're watching this fight of merge in the Democratic Party. I mean, it was a pretty good red state article with the headline Democratic Party is slipping through Nancy Pelosi's fingers. It's, it's not slipping. It's gone. You know, they even use the line. I've been using which is fees speaker in name. Only real speaker of the house is a Cossio Cortez Alexandria, Cossio Cortez, has more power than Nancy Pelosi does and even on the issue the biggest divide now is their obsession among their hard core leftists. They want to impeach President Trump for what they don't know. They can't identify any crime the same people that will nor the real crimes Hillary, which is relevant. They just ignore because it's not the issue. It's just like we don't bludgeon cavenaugh, ignore the Lieutenant governor of Virginia and serious allegations of rape, and serious allegations violence sexual assault. It care about obstruction, but the only liberal, that's ever said it is Bill Maher. And he said it this I guess, last week within the last week, he said, yeah. Hillary. Of course, she obstructed fair. I mean, look at how much they over covered Hillary's emails in two thousand sixteen and what affected that have on the election of there's a lot of reasons? Why the Democrats lost and many of them were Hillary was terrible candidate. That's absolutely. She didn't help the situation with emails. Absolutely. No at right. And she committed obstruction of Justice if Trump did, I think, in, in much worse fashion. But, you know, I mean smashing up your phones. Okay. But they over covered it. No, the only people that covered a conservative slate. But at least the, the honest to say she, yes, she was a horrible candidate. And number two, of course you obstructed Justice. But Democrats don't care. They only care about Trump obstruction, but there's no underlying crime enforce separate investigations that say the same thing. And now all they want to do is, is they wanna fifth investigation until they manufacture something that, that somehow would get them to the level. So you have a real crime, the espionage act with real evidence, top secret classified emails on a server in a bathroom closet. Then you have the real intention to destroy the evidence, hence the subpoenaed emails and so all of that's going on. So you have this divide. But the hypocrisy in selected moral outrage is obvious obstruction only if it's Trump. Violated all only if it's Trump, I believe, but only if you can bludgeon Trump not, I believe, because of the principle. It's all it's all fake phony moral outrage by party, but frankly out of ideas and the ideas that now advancing are beyond scary. Everything's free guaranteed. Job, government job, guaranteed vacation, guaranteed pre K through college education, as, if they haven't screwed up government schools enough, you know, we pay more than any other industrialized nation. But we come in thirty seventh you can't do much worse than that. That also is the Democratic Party in unholy alliance. They have teachers unions, so that will take and then we'll take over the healthcare industry Medicare for all. But you can't have a choice, forget about keep your doctor planning and save money. We're going to now drag everyone into one system and there's no exit strategy. Zoe. Exit ramp. Even if you want to pay for yourself. But then, again they want to seventy percent top marginal rate for individuals and a ninety percent top corporate rate, then they want to bring back all the regulations that would make us energy dependent again until they eliminate oil and gas and ten years and cows and planes. And this is what this is supposed to be taken seriously. Cossio Cortez accusing Pelosi sitting on their hands about impeaching Trump. The pressure is real, the divide is real daily caller had a piece out that, you know, forty-three Democrats are holding newly flip seats. In other words from red to blue and only two of them have voiced any support for any impeachment inquiry because they know they're done. They'll be one and done and fired and out if they follow this radical crew, and then Pelosi's now contradicting 'cause Cortez, she's not even close to starting impeachment, and yet they have this weekend, you know, hashtag impeach Trump a day of action hundred and thirty-three events, nationwide. Okay. There was actually a pretty good piece written by democrat. Jay, Scott Applewhite, and he says an alternative to impeachment is the beat him in the ballot box. The problem is, they don't have anybody. On my radar though. I think in win, and you got the GOP clashing with House, Democrats. You've got this woman, Marcia fudge in reading a letter, calling Trump supporters, racist, and dumb. It is glaringly apparent that many who support the president administration are either racists, steeped in richest religious beliefs, ignorant, or it's my mother used to say, just plain dumb, they have shows to support a president who has a proven Brown and none of the sex. Right. So you're racist than dumb. Your smelly, WalMart voter, you're an era, Dima -able deplorable and you cling to your God gun bibles on religion. Okay. This arrogance is not gonna fly with real Americans. It's not all they do is insult Americans that don't live in DC, New York LA in San Francisco. And that part of the country are going to go out and vote to ask me today. I don't think Trump is was one voter from twenty. Sixteen and my guess is he's probably because of the economy going to gain a bunch of voters, and if he does it's over doesn't matter who they nominate knee end, you know, this idea that, you know, Biden said the dumbest thing we'll get to maybe later in the program, you actually bragging during the eight-year, not a hint of scandal, and Biden, Obama. Well, okay. Look at the Ukraine in this guy, literally using American tax dollars to get a guy a prosecutor fired for investigating his son. That's a scandal or his son flying with him on air force to, to China and days after Biden's in China, a big hedge fund deal. But the course the kid never had any experience in hedge funds. Not a hint of scandal, anyone ever hear Joe crazy. Uncle Joe of Benghazi, every here talk to the families fast and furious..

Now, remember, we're still using oil and gas, except we're importing it. That is until Donald Trump becomes president. But we have more natural resources available to us than the Mideast combined. And if you really now that we're energy independent, and a net exporter of energy, you really want to hurt Putin. Well, we figure out the best way the most efficient way the most cost effective way to get our energy resources to western Europe. And guess what? Putin is on his knees. That is their economy. It's not the basis of our economy, but it will be the wealth creation of our economy, and it will single handedly, be the one thing that raises the standard of living for the Americans that deserve it the most. These jobs in the energy industry are real career jobs. You know, they'll train you to be a truck driver. Eighty grand starting pay and all the overtime, you can handle you get the pipelines on tap, the fracking in place, and more discovered we know, vast resources you get all of this, all of this out to the level of production where we can literally create millions of jobs in this country. It will raise the standard of living, and all those people, and it's always know their numbers, but they're real people real families real lives. You know, the thirteen million under Biden Obama that ended up on food stamps, because of their crappy economic policies, and their redistribution policies, and their tax the rich policies, and their burdensome regulation policies. Yeah. Those thirteen million eight million more that they put on, on in poverty, as a result of their policies, that now those disproportionately impacted by those negative socialist policies that. Democrats stupidly want a double triple quadruple down on vis-a-vis the new green deal. That is death to the American economy that is eight prescription absolutely for poverty. It'll drag this country into a depression faster than you can blink an eye. If we get rid of the lifeblood of our economy, oil guests, all competitiveness is eliminated in terms of the economic economic machine of this country. It's gone, and it's just a fantasy that these people believe in is if Celinda wasn't bad enough. But this is where they're headed. And the problem is, and this is what Mark Penn was saying, is that, you know, now, we've lived through the biggest hoax, ever perpetrated on the American people. And now we're watching this fight of merge in the Democratic Party. I mean, it was a pretty good red state article with the headline. The Democratic Party is slipping through Nancy Pelosi's fingers. It's, it's not slipping. It's gone. You know, they even use the line, I've been using which is fees speaker in name only. Only real speaker of the house is a Cossio Cortez Alexandria, Cossio Cortez, has more power than Nancy Pelosi does and even on the issue the biggest divide now is their obsession among their hardcore leftist. They want to impeach President Trump for what they don't know they can identify any crime, the same people that will nor the real crimes they Hillary, which is relevant. They just ignore because it's not the issue it's just like, you know, bludgeoned cavenaugh, ignore the Lieutenant governor of Virginia and serious allegations of rape, and serious allegations of violence sexual assault. It care about obstruction, but the only liberal, that's ever said it is Bill Maher. And he said it this I guess, last week within the last week, he said, yeah, Hillary, of course, you obstruct it fair. I mean, look at how much they over covered Hillary's emails in two thousand sixteen and what affected that have on the election of there's a lot of reasons? Why the Democrats lost, and many of them were Hillary with a terrible candidate. That's absolutely. She didn't help the situation with emails. Absolutely. Right. And she committed obstruction of Justice. If Trump did, I think, in, in much worse fashion. But, you know, I mean smashing up your phones. Story about it. But it was a bad, okay? But they over covered it. No, the only people that covered conservative slate. But at least the honest say she, yeah, she was a horrible candidate. And number two. Yeah. Of course, you have struck the Justice, but Democrats don't care. They only care about Trump obstruction, but there's no underlying crime and four separate investigations that say the same thing. And now all they want to do is they wanna fifth investigation until they manufacture something that, that somehow would get them to the level. So you have a real crime, the espionage act with real evidence, top secret classified emails on a server in a bathroom closet. Then you have the real intention to Detroit, the evidence, hence the subpoenaed emails and so all of that's going on. So you have this divide, but the hypocrisy and selected moral outrage is obvious obstruction. Only Trump, you know, violating will only if it's Trump, you know, I, I believe, but only if you can bludgeoned Trump not, I believe, because of the principle. It's all it's all fake, phony moral outrage by party that, frankly, that of ideas and the ideas, the now, advancing, are beyond scary, everything. Things free guaranteed. Job, government job, guaranteed vacation, guaranteed pre K through college education, as, if they haven't screwed up government schools enough, you know, we pay more than any other industrialized nation. But we come in thirty seventh you can't do much worse than that. That also is the Democratic Party in an unholy alliance. They have teachers unions, so that will take and then we'll take over the healthcare industry Medicare for all..

But you're well we're not having grandkid because Hollywood is boycotting sex because of the abortion law, and which is good that could lead to an improved higher-quality population actually, by calling them from the herd of breeders. I was like the term breeders breeders is kind of a fun term the Hollywood, you know, what's her name Alicia Alonzo and bet Midland is bent middle. It's what's her name with its bet Miller said, it's Bette midler. She did a funny movie about twenty years ago. Is that right? I think she, she did that isn't. She the same woman who's on the view. Yeah. Now they're very similar, though there. They might have been separated at birth or some Bette midler swearing off sex because Georgia passed the heartbeat law, and no one even so much shrugged. No one, not a single person. It's like, oh, okay. Well, what does that change? Does that move? The needle anywhere is was someone having sex with Bette midler before I'm. I'm just trying to I maybe she'd vacations in whose Becca Stannard. So I don't know. I can't say for sure, but she's boycotting sex and no one really cares. Alicia Milano it. So, you know, hey crazy isn't as much fun as it used to be anyway. So keep it to yourself. Literally, please just somebody said to no never mind. I'll leave that alone. But, but here's there she she's talking about twelve years. We got twelve years left, and there's no reversing and, and she said some people make a joke of it, and you might be laughing, but your grandchildren won't be because that's an, she's eating things that other people grew in the ground in Iowa took her by surprise to. She thought they came from the whole foods fetched festivals garbage disposal really freaked her out and then she gets the twelve years left. And we got twelve and some people make a joke of it. Well, you'll never guess what happened over the weekend. This is almost impossible to believe the daily caller Alexandria, Cortez Alexandria, Cossio, Cortez, rebuffs fetch. Checkers says the world ending in twelve years was dry humor dry humor. I'm going to leave Bette midler out of it at this point. Democratic New York Representative Alexandria Cossio Cortez complained Sunday, that GOP fact checkers, we're taking her dry humor, literally now I've talked about this many times with the, the phonies, at the Washington Post Glenn fraud Kessler, his children, don't even trust. Honestly, Glenn Kessler washed FEC, checking President Trump makes quip. No, no, everybody says I should get the Nobel peace prize. And then Jake tapper checks them. That's false. Not everybody says he should what we got to take a census of the whole planet to get. That's what they do. The news media does that it's theater of the absurd. But nevertheless, and here's Alexandria Cossio Cortez on her Twitter account. She wrote, this is a technique of the GOP to take dry, humor and sarcasm literally and fact checking like quote world ending in twelve years, and quote thing, you'd have to have the social intelligence. The cease sponge to think that it's literal. This is what she says. It wasn't literal. She was only kidding. It was dry humor. It was sarcasm. She writes, but the GOP is basically Dwight from the office. So who knows Dwight from the office was dumb? "I've actually researched this because it's a little too hard to believe. So I'm going to report it through. But it's seems to be to be accurate pie. Everybody. I'm Dennis Prager. Coming to you from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The two big speeches yesterday, including one at mar-a-lago, the the president's home in Palm Beach. Florida extraordinary home say he was not there, by the way. Just telling you where it was. And it was for Jews and Christians on behalf of Israel. It's amazing. How Christians are derided mocked ridiculed for supporting Israel. The president is the the pro Israel support is just from the Jellico community that the biggest single community. Well, you have your choice. It's either to their credit or this credit. All right. Let it be said one or the other isn't it? So if you think that Israel was the villain in the Middle East, then it's to the discredit of the evangelical community, if you actually have a conscience that works properly, you know, who the villains are in the Middle East, and they are the enemies of Israel there the violence people in the world, generally, speaking, not everybody who surrounds Israel and talking about the enemies of Israel. Not everybody around Israel an enemy. The Iranian regime is the most vile regime in the world except for North Korea. And so the Anjelica support of Israel strikes me as a credit through the Jellico community. And if it doesn't last through another generation, and it might not because whatever the left touches poisons, and it's already touched mainstream. Christianity is it has not orthodox Judaism. And it will not to infect. The locals if they're not careful and Israel is the litmus test, Israel and some other issues, but Israel in particular. So anyway, that's where I was. So listen to this. I'm not I don't even know what to make of it. So. It's so unbelievable. As the headline puts it in national view. Just kidding says Alexandria, Aqazadeh Cortez. Alexandria. Oh, oh, Cortez's newest defense of her ideas is that they are just dry humor and sarcasm we should take seriously. But not literally I guess because that's the writer 'cause your gut roasted over the weekend. After saying her tax the rich scheme would only apply like ten people. That's her quote Sunday. She checked into say it was just a joke. And moreover her previous remarks about the world ending in twelve years was also joke. Moreover, anyone who didn't get the these jokes is an idiot. This is Alex Andrea Cosio Cortez's tweet tweet. This is a technique of the GOP to take dry humor. Plus sarcasm literally. And fact, check it like the world ending in twelve years thing, you'd have to have the social intelligence of the C sponge to think, it's literal. But the GOP is basically Dwight from the office. So who knows? I. I'm a little amazed here so one second. She was she she allowed all these months to go by after saying the world as we know it will end in twelve years. She was just engaging in dry, humor and sarcasm. You have to have the social intelligence of cease sponge to think she was she meant that literally. Okay. So here's a question, ladies and gentlemen. The green new deal is an based on the belief that we have twelve years. So is the green new deal also dry humor, plus sarcasm? So I took her literally I thought she was actually being serious when she let it stay out there for months in any event and then built an entire program, which she had Senator Markey of Massachusetts sign onto about costing the economy trillions of dollars this locating vast numbers of workers. It would cause the most it would be a greater social disruption and economic disruption than the great depression. Forget the great recession the great depression. This is even knowledged in articles about it in the mainstream media, which support it. But they say it's worth it. Because global warming would cost trillions of dollars in the damage that it did. So it's worth doing all this damage in advance. So as to prepare us to not have or to ensure that we not have all this damage as a result of Coble warming. But everybody took her seriously, and she meant it seriously. I do not believe her that she meant that is you don't leave something out there build legislation on it. And then months later, say just kidding. But this is a hero to many millennials, and too many people who are older than millennials because the being fool is not restricted the young people. They're young people who are not full. This is quite quite remarkable. She wrote one is the day papal seventeen. So how long has it? It's a month. It's only a month. That's interesting. Okay. So it's a month. I said a few months fine. I was an error. It's a month climate change is here. Plus, we got a deadline twelve years left to cut emissions in half. That green new the'll is our plan for a world and a future worth fighting for. So that's what she sent out on April seventeenth. All right. You go. And now, she's of course, the the the house Yohe Cortez. People are not happy with Joe Biden. I don't know why not exactly thrilled. They're not because the battle on the left would be very healthy for the country. Joe biden. Oh god. If he's a serious, man. It's hard to believe that he is. Anyway, he he said then PR just reported couple of days ago today the fifth reported yesterday. Let's see Okaz yo Cortez. Decries Biden middle of the road approach on climate change. Interesting. But he he buys his press secretary emphasized soon after the story that he is cold climate change in exit threat. So he does believe it's an existential threat, by the way, one clarity here that'll help you all agree with me or not. We we both sides are least they'll speak for me. Okay. I won't speak for all conservatives. I consider leftism an existential threat, I think that western civilization. It's not a physical threat. It's a cultural moral threat. I think the leftism or western civilization, by the way soda. They. I mean, they don't deny if they think western civilization is white supremacy in a different term using just say, it's just a euphemism for white supremacy. When the president spoke in Warsaw about a year ago, if that's what it was or year and a half ago spoken worse. Oh said that we have to preserve western civilization things like the symphony. So you that was the what the caused in part? Remember that famous thing who is he to save a symphony superior music or western civilization is superior. It's just a it's a whistle to dog whistle to white supremacist. And that's when they came up with. Hey, the symphony is no greater than Indonesian gambling music. So Sean it is time for our biannual. Visit to Indonesian gamble music, which we were told by the New York Times music critic is just as good as Beethoven's third symphony. Is it do you have been the readily accessed file? My dear friends, I wanna make some clear joy. At a concert of it for for quite a while. The claim that this is good. As Beethoven's third symphony is an observing, and it's not all matter of just taste because in Indonesia. They're listening to Beethoven's third. But outside of Indonesia, they're not listening to music. It's just it's it's not it's not fair to gamble music. Even make make the comparison. So I'm declared him who's the hot candidate for this week based just based on the fact that he got that important time on Jimmy Fallon show. And as for my not hot candidate. I am going with comma, Harris, California, Senator Harris because the reason is because she's been mentioned in a flurry of stories now as being the VP candidate or Joe Biden. But I mean blabbing black woman next to younger, especially I think Biden, obviously is going to if he does win the nominations going to have to have a woman as his running mate. So. "This is the problem, by the way, folks on on the issue of climate change or global warming. The problem is. When we talk about the issue. We don't when when I say we I mean, the Republicans. Don't talk about the lie of the science. They don't they don't reject the science as a lie. They don't explain that. The models are phoney the climate models are phony. I mean again, you can take the UN climate models. You can zero out all emissions from the United States. You might as well do it with China is well if you zero out all the carbon emitter 's the big carbon emissions of the world. You're not even getting to a degree of celsius in one hundred years, and that's assuming the highest level of carbon sensitivity that the United Nations fantasy models would use which no scientists actually take seriously. But instead of of criticize President Trump is well instead of picking a science czar who could dismantle the lie this junk science lie. That hundreds and hundreds of billions of dollars of bad political policy has been built upon. We. We do nothing. So that every single time someone even makes the case. Well, we can't afford this. They're accused of being a climate denier. They're accused of not wanting to save the planet. And so what you end up getting are crazy piled on top of crazy, lunatic cubed. Exhibit Z in the alphabet of exhibits on this is Cory Booker. Cory Booker trying to out Alexandria, Cossio Cortez. Alexandria, Cossio Cortez. The man who would be Spartacus comes out and says what we really need is to have the entire world be vegan. What? Yes, what we really need is the entire world to be vegan. In addition to the entire world. Not being able to flip the light. Switch on the entire world should be vegan because cows fart and cows graze, and that causes deforestation and deforestation causes climate change. And so we should all not eat meat. So this is what I mean. When you don't reject the science, you end up getting crazy piled on top of crazy. To the point where it's almost so hard to punch your way through it that people conclude that it's tough to even try. All right. I wanna talk about this so-called compromise because it's not much of a compromise. I mean, it's it's a sellout on the border wall. Here's what it is. We went. Let's just remember. We went from twenty some odd billion dollars, which the original number that President Trump throughout their president. Trump himself said I will agree to scale back that number to five point seven billion dollars based on department of homeland security recommendations on where physical barriers could be and using steel fencing instead of say pre cast concrete so five point seven billion dollars. And and now, and he was willing to trade DACA, forty was willing to trade a number of things for it. And now we get this, quote compromise that is one point seven billion dollars telling ice they've got to let eight to thirteen thousand detained. Illegal aliens who have committed crimes beyond the crime of coming into the country illegally turn them out into the interior permanently reduced space for detention centers and somehow call it a victory. Congressman Glenn growth men is on the phone with me to talk about this. I don't see congressman how this is a victory. It looks like a surrender quite honestly. Because the Democrats get what they want which is the beginning of the dismantling of ice and the immigration hardliners. Don't get anything they want. They get maybe requests for proposals in engineering planning documents for a wall that will probably never be built. Well, this is a lesson for your listeners in how not to negotiate. If one side desperately want something and doesn't care what it takes to get it. And the other side is perfectly willing to walk away from the table who's going to win the negotiation. The Republicans on that negotiating committee who many of them have been around here for over twenty years are the type of people who thought we must do anything. We can prevent a shutdown. So our goal at the end of the day is we need no shut down, and the Democrats were not afraid of a shutdown because they know the mainstream media run interference and blame Trump. So therefore, the Republicans at the end of the day as we got closer closer closer closer to Friday candidate Democrats on their knees and said, what does it take? And as the result. When I think how much we need for the wall. I talked to the guy who was the head of border patrol under Obama. A good surprise me conservative guy. Even though he was fired by Trump, and he feels we need eight billion for eight billion wouldn't go from Gulf of Mexico to Pacific Ocean. But in any areas passable, you could cover well, it looks like we got what is that about one fifth of what we need is for the wall. And we set the stage. You're right. For less. Let's places to put people hor sneaking in illegally. So it was like I would describe it as a total surrender. And why did he? Surrendered because the Republican party collectively. Even though I'm sure your listeners are for wall. Have not made the case there is a wall to the public as a whole. So as a result, they were afraid of his shut down at the end of the day, they surrendered and it's a sad thing. I wish President Trump, honestly, and all the speeches. He's given on this topic that a little better jobs explaining how relatively small compared to what we spend another things. This was I wish you would have done a better job of explaining the effectiveness of a wall. I think you should better job explaining the public that the Democrats had no problem doling walls under Obama or Clinton or Bush for that matter, but the Republicans collectively did not do that. So they felt they had to panic the final week and give in and part of the problem is you have a lot of Republicans that the senior Republicans are the ones who cut the deal paving around here, so long. They're just plain revolt from reality. And they think whatever it takes not to shut down the government and people have died so this country down. But yeah, but the shutdown is not something that animates the public at animates the media animates politicians, and it doesn't animate the public. So again, we we went thirty four days before there was a disruption at LaGuardia thirty four days before anybody really felt it if they weren't employed by the federal government. Okay. So it was pretty clear that most people didn't much care about that shutdown. So the idea. That the Republicans think America America's saying, oh, no, President Trump, please on Brandini don't shut down the government that I don't even I didn't even notice was missing for thirty four days is is just pure delusion. But it's not just that that that motivates them. So they're motivated by the shutdown. Not by the wall. Not by the problem with immigration, not by the disaster at the border. Not by the fact, that we have not solved the problem of of the asylum claims and the migrants who are coming in and the children being used as pawns and the family unification problem and all of the enough Fenton, all and the dope and the human trafficking that didn't motivate them that that didn't motivate them the shutdown motivated them. And you're right. Republicans weren't making the case. But the idea the idea that what you would trade for for the Democrats to please just just. Play. Nice was getting rid of turning out eight to thirteen thousand criminals that are being held in detention facilities awaiting deportation into the interior of the United States. We're talking about people have committed sexual assault. We're talking about people who've committed multiple drunk driving offenses beaten up people dealt dope. Thirty eight to thirteen thousand of them. In a snap would be would be turned out into the United States to victimize American citizens. Did the Republicans really think that was a good idea? Well, I guess they were so panics by the shutdown, by the way, they wanna point on that shutdown. So as there was sympathy or concern, it was largely sympathy and concern for the federal employees were not being paid. They could have solved that with a separate Bill at any time and everybody, including even our friends at the Trump administration did not wanna do that. There is no reason why two weeks ago to solve the problems the airports or the humanitarian crisis caused by federal employees, not being paid that they could have not as I wanted them to do paid the people who were working. So even there was an artificial crisis created by congress. You did not have to cave in on the whole budget to say, let's pay the TSA, folks. The people at the Oxford prison that sort of thing. So even did you just say humanitarian crisis or were you being facetious because I'm thinking, there's no such thing as humanitarian crisis, a federal government government employees not getting paid in an economy that has seven point five million unfilled jobs. I'm just saying not a humanitarian crisis in by. By any definition is the federal employees having to go thirty five days without getting a paycheck when it was really easy to go. Find a place to work now to the people who are working anyway. The people who are working anyway border patrol federal prison guards, the idea that we did not introduce right at the beginning introduce legislation saying pay these people in the Democrats vote now and say, all right. We're going to introduce legislation again pay the people who are actually working have the Democrats vote. No. And do it again and do it again and do nothing except introduce a piece of legislation force the Democrats to vote. No. Because eventually eventually that narrative would would come the our narrative would punch through and there's would crumble. Right. That is exactly my point sticky. And for whatever reason there can be no pure reason Nancy Pelosi in the house, and I was co sponsor of a Bill to do just that Mitch McConnell in the Senate did not pass that Bill out of the house. And and to be honest. Donald Trump didn't call for that though. And if you would have called for it, I think the public demand would have been such they would've had to pass it. But for whatever one of their own reasons. Mitch McConnell, Nancy Pelosi, Donald Trump, for whatever reason did not for whatever political reason felt we shouldn't pay the people who are working, and that was horrible. But that is a separate issue as to whether we should caved in on the whole thing because that Bill could have and should have been passed at all times. Really? And eventually, I think you would have been passed. That's my point. Eventually the political pressure would have forced Democrats to to cross the particularly in the house and past that piece of legislation. I know there was a companion piece one that looks substantially similar to yours introduced by another Wisconsin member of the delegation, Ron Johnson in the Senate, and it did not even get pulled to the floor as you point out. Go ahead. Right. It's not just Nancy Pelosi's fault. And she was very duplicitous because she could have paid those employs at any time. We're working, but it is also true. The Republicans in the Senate could have brought that also report anytime, and they would not do it. It is it speaks to the just uncaring this or whatever you wanna call it of the people I work with up here that should have been automatic. But instead that they wouldn't bring that Bill to the floor and either house Trump wouldn't call for it. And instead. So we wind up with this kind of kind of an obviously bad deal in which one side the Democrats willing to hold out until they got what they wanted. And the other side came begging to the Democrats on their knees, apparently, whatever it takes to get this done. So we get as in any negotiation..

"Where here in Acapulco for danger. Three what is going to basically be an almost a week? Of live broadcasts from quite a rooftop. I mean, but it seems like we're on a rooftop copy. Yeah, we're at a very very beautiful location in a very nice place. Mark, you're just checking the weather in Acapulco. We learned last night that there really isn't that much rainfall here despite it being a coastal city about fifty three inches per year. And then you were just looking to see if it changes much from the wintertime to the summertime, and and what did you learn right? I mean, you know, coming from New Hampshire where there's drastic change. I don't have. I don't have it pulled up here in front of me. But the difference between the mean. Hi in February in the mean, high in July. It's a big difference. Yup. Here in Acapulco, it's not even five degrees Fahrenheit. Wow. That's a major says make it always around. It's like this. You're saying maybe a little hotter during the summer, but not that much and Acapulco isn't the resort town. It was a few decades ago. But there's still a lot about it to like. Well, I mean, there's certainly plenty of resorts here still so I mean, I don't know how many of them have gone out of business, but it seems to be a bustling it seems to be where the people from the Mexican Mexican city in Mexico City, and that sort of thing they come to to make the vacation makes sense. So we're here we will take your calls and thoughts about whatever you want. And of course, we're gearing up for the upcoming anarchy polka event that is going to be happening in just under a week's time. It kicks off on Thursday will be going out there to get things set up next week, but we're going to continue doing live shows right up until the just beginning. Just before in Acapulco kicks off because we can and we get the equipment to do. So I'm put together a little update for our Email list, which you can go and sign up for over at freetalklive dot com. Which will give you kind of a picture of what our remote studio looks like here, and the incredible view that you can get in polka for approximately eleven hundred bucks. Plus the power Bill is basically what what you got. Here. You got bedrooms, we got six bedrooms, five baths, and what appears to be a very new or at least renovated structure. Eleven hundred bucks for the month of February four weeks, and well, it's been very very nice. It has so toll free number tonight is eight fifty five four fifty free. Also, we have the discord on air Columbine rooms, which you can join by going to discord dot dot FM just jump on into one of those. And we will get you on the air here with us, Mark. You wanted to talk about some kind of a green deal some kind of thing that's being pitched in DC. The about it. But I don't know I really don't renew deal. And I knew deal was a pretty raw deal. So I'm magin this one isn't going to be much better. Write these these these things that are put out are often terrible stuff. But this green new deal is put out by to some extent the. Cossio cortez. Alexandria, Cossio Cortez's the anti-trump. Okay. You know, the opposite of Trump the socialist lady. Yeah. And a number of Democratic Party presidential hopefuls including Cory Booker, Kamala. Harris Elizabeth Warren, Kristen gillibrand, Jillian Castro Beto who most of the people. I mean, I know some of these names and you're going to know about them because some of them running for president. Yeah. Yeah. That's where I've heard some of the names. But I just don't know anything else about him. I know who the AFC chick as well. Let's go through theirs cute proposal, ugly ideas, though, right, ugly, ideas deadly ideas, Elizabeth Warren. You got that name Corey. The democratic people at the top top dog. I read a headline. She threw her head. She Massachusetts, isn't she? It's okay, nothing. Good comes from there. No. Somebody who's just over the border, right? So okay. So this is a bunch of presidential contenders teaming up to propose what do they call the green new deal? Yup. And I've got here from the federalists dot com. A list of well some of the crazier parts of the of the green new deal. Let's hear it. So it's tie. The timeline is ten years. And here's some of the goals, meaning they have to implement these things with the hope this passes, and it may not and they know that that's a proposal the proposals don't start with passing but ban affordable energy the green new deal calls for the elimination of all fossil fuel energy production. The lifeblood of the American industry in life, which includes not only all but also natural gas one of the cheapest sources of American energy and one of the reasons the United States has been able to lead the world in carbon emission reduction. Yeah. That's gonna happen. They didn't mention the federalist papers. It's really dot com. That it's really important that they're also banning nuclear power look. Well, if you want green energy, and you want to ban nuclear power, you don't understand energy. Well, apparently, you don't want people to actually travel at all because I mean, yeah, there's some battery operated cars. In fact, you got one of them. You've got one of those battery hybrid charger. Yeah. But but it's plug into so I guess that's different than your typical hybrid. Right. So it's electric slow actually the new hybrids pretty much your plug in all of them. Yeah. Okay. Put a bigger battery, and then be able to charge the battery at night. I got one of these things you voluntarily decided to do it because you didn't want to support the the oil industry. It was a choice that you made as a consumer. They're saying they want to force that same decision down everybody's throat. No matter how poor they are. Because you know, you might have been able is a relatively successful man in his late forties. You might have been able to afford one of these fancy new hybrid car. Well in my like in my early forties. We've had the car I think I got the car in my late thirties. Sure. But the average person isn't going to go out and buy a brand new car. Maybe they do that we spent too much, but that was back when the Prius plug in technology was new, but I will say they still aren't cheap. I mean, my my point here is if you are, you know, twenty five years old, and you got an old beater that you're driving around, you know, some some oldie from the nineteen ninety s Toyota Camry or something like that. And that's about all you can afford all of a sudden these politicians come in. And they're like well now, you got five years, and you got to upgrade you gotta get yourself. One of these plugging dailies and switched completely over to that system. Even though you may not be able to afford it. How many people are going to be completely unable to drive from point a to point b they basically did this with the cash for clunkers deal to they essentially made it so that the poor people can't afford cheap cars by giving out subsidies to get rid of. You know, the the lowest end cars, you never find that thousand dollar car that runs anymore. Could you really? Yes. Oh, yeah. You found that? I never found that I found a back in. Let's see probably around the turn of the Senate. I spent a thousand dollars on a car, and it was just piece of garbage. I understand that you have had some bad luck with vehicles in the past. But yes, you can what. Yeah. Okay. I just I'm just telling you back, then a thousand dollars you're going to buy you problems back then you will rarely is problem. Yes. You would rarely find a car for a thousand dollars doesn't come with serious issues. Everything has car payment every car has payments. Right. Sure. Whether it's been payments, you're making to your Bank. But look the point is Mark. This isn't going to fly point is by the way to eliminate ninety nine percent of cars. Well, we'll get to that. But the point is just on point number one. It's not gonna fly. The oil companies are no slouch when it comes to political lobbying and assuredly they have enough politicians in their pocket, even if it were a democrat congress, and it is and the democrat president this proposal wouldn't fly. Those people have all kinds of money, and they have all kinds of influence in Washington DC. Sure, this is just for image. Well, that's the problem though, is that the image. People liked the image that American voters. The problem, isn't that? There are crazy politicians and crazy ideas. The problem is is that people will vote for those politicians really the issue. I mean, you know, look these atrocities that have happened worldwide don't happen in a vacuum. It's not one lunatic. That does them it's a bunch of people. That's true. They want to gut and rebuild. Ev every building in America marquee and Cortes retrofit every building in America with.

Well, that's the problem though. Is that the image? You know, people like the image that American voters. The problem, isn't that? There are crazy politicians with crazy ideas. The problem is is that people will vote for those politicians. That's really the issue. I mean, you know, look these atrocities that have happened worldwide don't happen in a vacuum. It's not one lunatic. That does them it's a bunch of people. That's true. They want to gut rebuild every building in America, marquee and Cortez retro fit every building in America with state of the art.

"Today's Len Berman and Michael Riedel in the morning show at seven forty good morning, everyone. Let's head straight to Washington big day on Capitol Hill. We have Serena Marshall ABC news correspondent standing by. And Serena they take the oath of office. I'm guessing at noon today is that is that the timetable lend this afternoon, they will take the oath of office. You have new members in both the Senate and the house and a lot of I with this new congress I over in the house, you have younger bluer more diverse than ever in total one hundred and twenty seven women we'll be serving in one hundred sixteenth congress as soon as they take the oath of office than they vote on impeachment. Is that how it works? I don't I don't think they're going to go that route. Instead, they're going to be voting on trying to open the government. That's number one priority for those House Democrats right now, we do expect them to vote on onto bills immediately this afternoon evening. The I would reopen all government agencies and provide funding through next fish. School year the end of September the other one would give funding for the department of homeland security for about a month. Well, they would try to negotiate out some kind of terms on border security, but well these bills land both passed the Senate before the government shutdown nearly unanimously the speaker of excuse me, the Senate majority leader has said Mitch McConnell that he does no plans to take these up because he doesn't want to quote, wastes, his time passing bills that the president has said he will not sign. Hey, sorry. And it's Michael Riedel here. So what was that meeting like yesterday with Nancy and Chucky Schumer in the situation room with the president? They didn't seem to get anywhere with this wall funding. No, Michael, they didn't get anywhere all day. Basically, it's a new congress. But stalemates as my colleague Mary Bruce had said earlier, so they are trying to come to terms on this border security funding package. The president wants five point six billion for the wall. Democratic leaders are saying we're not going to give you any money for this wall. But that is where. These negotiations have broken down. You have the president, basically. Communicating with the those that put him in office want a democratic leaders communicating with those that put them in office want and neither side is willing to budget this moment, and we're going to start seeing some real impacts of this government shutdown now in day thirteen coming up very shortly. For example, next. Friday's the last day many government workers, including the coastguard get paid until after the shutdown ends. And if the shutdown continues through the end of the month, then you're going to see a tax season. Get impacted some delays with processing tax return to the IRS wrong with Serena Marshall ABC news correspondent on Capitol Hill so scuttle, but I mean, this government shutdown can't last forever. What's what's the what's the feeling there? What's going to happen? Well, we're waiting for one side to blink is essentially what's going on a yesterday. We heard from the president about a possible two and a half billion dollar package. Now that was presented by the vice president to democratic leaders earlier last later last month in December and the presidency to throw cold water on that yesterday. Say no they still on. Five point six billion dollars. So that is why democratic leaders have been hesitant to negotiate with anyone besides President Trump. And when they went into that meeting yesterday. The president standing firm has five point six billion dollars and democratic leaders are just not willing to give him the money for the wall. Hey, let me ask you. Serena Cossio, Cortez Alexandria, Qazi Cortez from here in New York City getting a lot of attention. Now. What is she? She's objecting to this pay pay package. Do we know about this? So this is a rule change package. It happens every time there's a new congress. They present this new rules package for the next session that will pave the way for how they will basically pushed their legislative priorities forward. It never really gets any attention because it's pretty much part of the pomp and circumstance of a new congress. But this new package allows for a few things, including the house to defend the Affordable Care Act in courts address climate change with new committees allow members to wear religious headwear on the house floor as we have tuning Muslim members in the house. But it will also include this price tag legislation that basically prevents them from putting forward any bills that aren't net neutral. Now, a lot of progressive members of congress are against this rules because they say it will impede their ability to pass legislation that they wanna see pushed forward, but the incoming speaker Pelosi says this must get done in order to move things forward with the Republican controlled Senate. All right. Thanks, dan. So they vote on Pelosi today to right? They do they do as well. Thanks a lot. Serena Marshall, ABC news on Capitol Hill. Thanks. Serena. Look at that little Alexandria Cossio Cortes already defined grandma with the gavel there.
