Mark Levin Comments on Alec Baldwin, 'Rust' Film Shooting Tragedy

"This shooting tragedy involving Alec Baldwin you know I take no pleasure in seeing something like this or reading something like this I don't like Alec Baldwin He's an urbanite to me But that's quite beside the point This is a horrible accident You've got to feel for the guys Probably going through all kinds of hell As is the family of hanya Hutchins the wife and mother who died in the producer exceeded director who was also shot with the with a prop gun He's been released And they'll figure it out I do understand that the usual crew at least some part of it had walked off the set and went on strike or some such thing And maybe that contributed to it I don't know A friend of mine Bill corsair said you know whenever they used prop guns or so forth they would open them they would look at them they'd make a 100% sure that they were as they wanted them to be obviously But that said you know we're not the left I'm not on social media I don't have to comment on social media on every damn thing and tweet and so I can't tell you how relieved I am not to be tweeting And not to be on Facebook and so forth But it's a horrible tragedy

"There's no breast shield or anything like that or pop shield or anything audio also a little low and i had the it up to a hundred. Does it's missing some audio space. It's not filling the entire spatial area. Okay it's a little compressed but it's okay it's not no but for a boom. Mike is frigging decent man. Yeah i will say i. I always give gaming headsets. My wife she has two. Dozen i- begrudgingly respect. Her opinions on them for some reason. I like i trust my opinion on sound quality but she points stuff out about gaming headset. She's a very headphone sound oriented kind of person so she put these on and immediately was like. I don't like the way these feel what i think. They feel great were no. The headband was tighten the clamping force. Like no it's not clamping force. It's not the pressure against size my head. It squeezing the top of my head and i stared for a minute. I don't think i got a good picture of this. Under the band on each side is a velcro adjustment. You can change the link of this band easily. There's a little strap down here a little bit of both sides that's great. That feels good now. And actually that reduce the clamping force slightly because it wasn't pulling against the sides as much as i'm ahead so these are more configuration than i thought. I thought oh it stretches one size fits all no no no. It's got an adjustment like on a ball cap. So you can make it fit your head better than i thought plus these cups rotate quite a bit and it can rotate completely flat. So comfort was very good. They're not too heavy. There sounds they're lower frequency. Control and depth is outstanding. I did Some audio sweep tests. Do thirty thirty hertz. With powering control rolls off very fast below that but highs. We're very crisp. They have kind of a bright sound. Josh they have that grado sound their mid range. E kind of Aggressive sounding they're not scooped smiley q. Sound at all. And i did some special audio testing. Here's a little screen. Shot is listening to the spatial audio made for spatial audio adobe at most demo and it's interesting it's a sort of effect that sounds like they've remastered the track to isolate things to the left and right channel more but it did a good job. I thought these were great. I was surprised that i saw some reviews that weren't as high on the sound quality. As i was but like what else do you want. I really didn't like was Headroom of the audio amplifier in wireless mode. Which you kind of expect. This is the thing i ran into the last time. I did a pair of headphones. You just don't have enough power to listen at high volumes and still get that dynamic punch when the the sound gets louder. There was nowhere else where to go. They had more headroom when it was plugged in. But when i backed off to what i think regular people we consider a normal listening level which is not you know one. Click away from full blast. Then it was. It was dynamic so i still give it the editor's choice because i was actually. I was kinda surprised that the price. I thought this would be kind of in the two hundred dollar range. Because that's where other premium wireless headsets been recently. But the sound is really really good out of these though..

"Did a a. What is this. If i ninety was the eleven nine hundred k. I think was still on this. This taichi board and it's a artie thirty. Ti and i used this cooler master. Hyper twelve black edition cooler. Which is insane choice with an eleven nine hundred k. but i was manually enforcing all power limits would be fine It's still got ninety to decrease under load but yeah but that's still looks great. It looks really nice though. If it was a nice little nice looking build. I like it. Licks ssd it always looks like. He's outlined in red digitally. It's just that neutron drive. Oh this was interesting because the top you know like all old times used to be Has the series of velcro straps all along the sides. You can have your power cable neatly down the side saying that before it was nice. It's nice and i did some performance testing just real quick. I did it in like components out and then components in the case and the differences are not huge. What you spend those eighties at. I assume i don't know because i had at the performance preset of the motherboard. Because they just had it on motherboard fan fan header check. I have all the data. I think saved from h. w. info. I can walk but from the one one. Nine zero zero zero k section on about. Yeah for for that and as you can see if you're looking at the chart sorry audio listeners. For many reasons but for one I'm not describing this re while the open test bench. The jeep was eleven point. Six degrees above ambient at idle which is zero zero. Pm idle and then fifty one point three above and beyond a load inside the torrent. It was only six point seven over ambien at idle and it dropped from fifty one down to forty seven at low great fantastic. You get better. Temps generally speaking inside the case versus outside the case it kind of flip flop and a couple things but it was within a degree So yeah it's low you'll have lower idle temps you'll have your overall system board will be at a lower temp i should've done more testing on like thermals like memory. You know everything benefits from airflow and you have a tremendous amount of airflow with this case and it wasn't even that loud. I put my sound pressure meter about eighteen inches from the front panel while it was running. And i got a high of thirty nine point one decibels that was at load and idle so it was pretty much just the fan noise from the front fans that point how how much Above room was nine point one that seems like very close to ambient much about it depends on your room. I think ambient. It's hard to say because my meter isn't good enough to really tell me my meter bottoms out at about thirty one decibels even though it claims go onto thirty well i mean. Were you finding somewhere that under thirty decibels with kid in the house. I know that that's way now really literally stopped doing serious noise testing in this house. I would need an office to do it because there used to be a time. I mean no. A benchmark of louder than small child and quieter than small child is actually pretty voluble. He's got a funny point. It's very true. I stick this really seriously. And i would shut everything off. I would tell my wife because it's for my son was born. I'm doing all right..

"So it's it's kinda fun to a sit down chat with him. He puts together some reasonable projections. Maybe some educated guesses as well. It is a fun show to listen to them. His regular moore's law is dead or the audio kind of the podcast. That you're on is common audio show. So he'll usually a stuff fifteen to eighteen minutes fifteen to twenty minutes but you get you taught on. Yeah i must defeat you. It's sad you miss the old two and a half hour. Podcast josh. no. I don't i don't i don't know louise okay. Spot didn't interesting. Our car actually read this on my own time. They were comparing cpu cores and cash. I have a comment about this though. Just because as interesting as this is i i try and level stuff out and they did a good effort. This idea is how much the massive amounts of l three cache especially on the rise inside of things affecting performance when your cpu bound and it seems reasonable to think that all things being equal here at the bottom of this chart this look at this six core intel processors and by the scores only six enabled so six cores enabled on the i nine nine hundred k. You still have twenty megs of cash regardless of how many cores are enabled. Twenty three and as you can see it scales with cash you go from an average foreign twenty nine because this like ultra high frame gaming to four seventy two five. Oh eight and you're jumping from twelve. Meg sixteen twenty minutes of all three. No a problem here that one of the comments made on the article. That i kinda thought about like. If you're getting this kind of scaling impact from. I don't know maybe i'm maybe i'm backwards here because if you're if you're scaling this much. I just wonder if ten eighty p is low enough but and this particular game rainbow. Six siege vulcan. It's one hundred. Ten eighty ultra which is also one of the ones where it's actually visible. "This this morning. So i'm going to mention it because there are more rt x. Games coming. I know this is not really a big shock but certain games they were talking about. We'll have our ex features at launch. The one that. I kind of confused about it. I was battlefield. Twenty forty two if you look at the breakdown of these games include marvel's guardians of the galaxy. Which has retraced reflections and deal s. I was noticing. There were some games that just had the ls like they weren't saying realtime retracing they were saying just deal assess and that's what battlefield twenty forty two is enhanced with nvidia dos s. And invidia reflex. So this is going to be on the reflex games. Oh i don't like reflux. But i don't like struggle with reflects but Yeah it's just. There's no like. I was reading this. There's no like real time like retrace deflections global elimination shadows. no it's just deal assess reflex. Is this the future. Will there be more games. Released that are rt x. branded but don't have real time racing i thought it was weird to change your engine around to do our but not so much d. l. s. From what. I understand. I could be wrong. But let's see Missed missed is going to have real time ray. Tracing and deal s s. It'll be it'll be great looking. I'm sure it will be actually. I would rather demo like play this to demo. Rdx than minecraft personally. But yeah. i'm with you. What about the late game. That one looks amazing. I have not played it yet. I mean it's the best looking demo. I think i've seen does it's weird. It looks ridiculous. What is all the. Lego is sort of embraced the online world. Which you wouldn't expect from them but they have a fluke. Minecraft stole lego and made a game out of it and lagos take you know what and of course it's going to be online component. Because that's what minecraft is. Okay speaking of things and people on this podcast sort of. I don't know i don't have any transition mojo but we're just going to do it anyway. There's josh josh josh. There's a channel ruprecht rather popular with You know the youtube community. amd fans. i'm trying to get past the intro ad here let's see here. "If it's a plug in the front or something. Yeah it'd be the ellen to platform for over actress on on. Pmt is still to designed to be on a bench. Table is not like a traditional motherboard. In any sense no. But i still have two questions. Okay where's the power on the side. You saw thanks sideways here. Okay thank you there it is and where's the seamus battery. It's here oh there it is. It's beautiful oh this okay. That's actually smart. Yeah i it's. It's like an old school motherboard. In that regard. I do kind of like these Even the us bees are Horizontal although the front panel. Connector is still that traditional Configuration we ever get rid of the recessed. One in the bottom left on the the board cut out. What we have had suggested may be separate owners doing. No i think. I think that is powering. Probably the the bottom because a pg slot has a max of seventy five watts. And that's what a six pin will provide is if you look the top you've got the in the top right. You get the twenty four fan and then you got to cebu Eight pin. I think that does provide power to not only just the cpu but also other parts of the board so yeah i think it's i think it's at bottom. What's up here. Some kind of proprietary sega say. That's a weird sodom court well without power a lot of stuff going on here. We don't know okay. I will It was interesting in the replies. Jacob clarified its x five seventy s. Now googling right. I didn't know if that was this fan down here where the logo says or if that was just going to be passive but apparently it's passive. I'll be right back. I think the. I think they're down on logo on this. I think there's only three maybe four only three logos there are only three three really a c one on the board of the heat sink and one just above the main thing this one on the bat as well. Look i can older we go. At least there's four okay. Four over the south you found the hidden. Vija there's only three darks as far as i can tell us right. There's the dark with the reisen logo circle here so dark reisen. There's there in the dark dark dark right here. Yeah or divorced. Or i believe the one and the left right above the i o ports. I bet that lights up. I bet that's what i don't know. But i think this is a ps two port. Right here that's a flash combo port. Yep i'd love interrupt so now all is going to be inexpensively controller on board that i think that's a that's a reach okay All we have right now is a picture. And the fact that it's x five seventy s so. I guess we can move on. I'm sure it'll be a premium priced motherboard. Be saw. Acis has the rg extreme coming out. But i think that one is based on just regular x five. Seventy not x five seventy s. I could be wrong about that Quickly games com is going on right now and other virtual events invidia has a blog post about it..

Corsair's K65 RGB Mini Gaming Keyboard Is for People Who Think Less Is More

"It looks like corsair is brought out a very small keyboard. Colic duckie keyboards. That are out there that you can actually build yourself. This is along the lines of that. It's the case sixty five. It's basically a sixty percent keyboard so it's very very small way smaller than what i have. But i also have a wireless keyboard instead but it looks very interesting. It has done to make pre ki- rgb backlash for advanced tw- twenty layer onboard lighting effects with clue control because of corsairs. The one that bras. Rgb everything because that's what they did and that's what people liked. I guess in some way. It's just a really interesting thing about that. But it's very interesting because it's still uses the mex- keys which is also has the red silent our speed silver variants to have that as well also onboard profile storage of fifty profiles also full and key rollover basic means that. There's no anti ghosting so you don't. It will actually understand when you double click something. Click multiple buttons will also recognize up so anti ghosting. Only a few of the keys. Now enki rollover is the full keyboard. So there is a difference between that and also has the corsair annex hyper processing technology. With eight thousand hertz. Polling and detachable one point eight mill millimeter braided. Usb desi cable also weighs about one is Excuse me weighs about zero point. Eight five kilograms of very lightweight. If you're looking for something very small. But it's not a duckie keyboards more mainstream keyboards. This is something you should actually look for. It looks nice. It looks very very small. Looks like almost like a travel worthy keyboard. If you're looking for a very small keyboard this is it for you or if you just have a very small space for you as

"Response code. You'll see is three hundred one. And that's a permanent redirect and that means that the page requested has moved to a different url permanently. The new permanent. You oriel should be given to you in the location filled in the response. So it was a browser. Should know where you're going. Three hundred and two on the other hand is temporary redirect and that means the page you requested his move to a different url but only temporarily the new temporary url should be given in the location field. As well so you'll know how to interact and find your uri. The next series is our four hundred series response codes. And that's the client errors. So that's you in. This means that the request contains an incorrect syntax. The request cannot be fulfilled usually due to that bad syntax. So if you see a common for hundred that's going to be bad request and that means that the response could not be understood by the server. Due to a mouse formed syntax and remember this is formed by you. So it's either in the application or the page or whatever is creating that key pack a four. Oh four not found what who doesn't know this this is probably the most well known h. T. t. p. Status code by the world renown. It comes up whenever the server can't find the page you requested remember. We're talking to an application. We're not just requesting dead pages off the net. We're talking to an engine neck. Cerna patchy server to get this data and since this is temporary you can actually try again. You can get that page. It doesn't mean it's gone forever. This is not a thrill one or thirty three. Oh to where you're being redirected so if the server knows that it's not temporary it should put in a four ten response code and the four ten response code is gone. It's just gone. This code is similar for four but it's probably lesser known. Not many people would know what a fourteen code is and it means that the requested page is no longer available in there is no associated forwarder. It's different because it means the page is never coming back now. This is useful. You might be asking yourself. Why would i use it and it's useful for search engines to handle page removal to clean up those search engines so it is something that is good for the client to know but it's probably set on the server side speaking of server side that brings us to our last series which is the server error response codes and these response codes means that the server his failed to fulfil an apparently valid request. And the two that you're gonna see here are five hundred five. Three a five hundred is an internal server. Error in this code tells us that the server met an unexpected condition and could not provide the resource. It's very generic. It just kind of handles everything. That's not something else but the five. Oh three on. The other hand means that the service is unavailable and that could mean that the server is either temporarily overloaded or it's down for maintenance something along those lines either way it received an invalid response.

Lincoln To Relaunch The Nautilus

"Really a devastating second quarter. Lincoln is a particularly bright spot for Ford and to pursue that bright spot it is introducing a new version of its midsize luxury SUV. The Nautilus, which Lincoln President joyful, Ayako explained to us. We're really excited about this new vehicle because you're going to see that it has some refinements on our exterior. And then we just have a lot of dramatic changes on the interior. We will be debuting our sink 4.2 system on the inside. It's got an all new 13.2 inch screen and just lots of intuitive technology really kind of bringing it up to the quiet flight DNI that we have in our aviator course. Aaron Navigator. So, as I know, when you change these models, it's in response to the demand that you're saying give us a sense of how this fits into the SUV market overall, as well as into Ford's plans for SUVs. Yeah, sure. So this is at the heart of the premium market. It's the medium premium utility. It makes up over 34% of the industry. So very important segment. We're not Alice place and we're seeing pretty good demand this year, especially on our SUVs were actually up 8/10 on share this year at Lincoln, and we had our best October in 34 years globally, and it really was on the back of our SUV lineup. It's interesting when you talk about market share that perhaps answers my question about how much of your dramatic growth in the second half of this year has been a bounced back from what happened last spring. Because I was the economy was taken almost to a standstill. How much is a bounce back? How much it is organic growth going forward? Yeah, So certainly the volume will was a bounce back in demand that we saw in the second half of the year. But the share growth is a year over year number, So it's really a testament to our clients and their receptivity to our new SUV lineup. How was Endemic, affected Lincoln as a practical matter and both of the demand side but also on the production side as we're going to a winner that the president elect Biden has said, is going to be a dark winter because of coronavirus. How is it affecting your business? Well, obviously, as I mentioned we're up here today We are cautiously optimistic as we look forward and you know the health and safety of our employees are dealers and our clients are paramount. And so we have, you know, brought forward a lot of protocols that we used earlier in the year to ensure the safe. Do with the PPE equipment and will continue to do that and be very vigilant on that. And then for Lincoln, even pre Cupid with our effortless experiences, you know, we have optionality for our customers to have pick up a delivery for service. We have wrote Moz sales delivery, and we even have what we call Lincoln Showcase where a client can actually virtually view our products so well. The safety of our clients are really important. This new novel says I understand it is debuting in China at the same time gives a sense of how you doing China huge market that has been growing. It had some difficult boys. I think it's coming back some for autos. That's correct. They've been really resilient and had a really nice bounce back. Bounce back this year and premium is has been a real bright spot if you will. And as you just mentioned we debuted the novelists there yesterday really pleased with receptivity, and we also have the opportunity to receive the SUV of the year for our new aviator that we localized earlier this year, so really strong performance in China, and we've actually had five consecutive record months. They're so really pleased with the China team and Mormons as you bring out this new Nautilus, How are you gonna judge success? What? Your bars. What your goals. Well, we're expecting to see sales growth with our new interior and matching the lineup And so that's really important for us. It makes up 25% of us are sales so very, very important vehicle for us, so we'll continue toe monitor the receptivity to the vehicle based on our sales. There's a lot of talk these days about electric vehicles, including a Ford. You have a lot of initiatives and electric vehicles give us a sense when it comes to SUVs and Lincoln. What your plans are for electric vehicles. Yeah, You're right. David Electric ation is very important to Ford. We've committed over $11.5 billion in investments in electrification and for Lincoln. We've already started that journey. We actually began last year with the launch of our Aviator Grand Turing plug in hybrid vehicle and we will be launching in 2021 or a Corsair plug in hybrid vehicle as well And we're really excited that right now we have under developed a fully battery electric vehicle. It'll be coming out in the future. That was part of my

But they won't be there only be two connectors or two cables. For four fans, which is a lot better than having for fans times to. Eight cables to plug into was a nice little way of will. Having less connections to actually plug in because it gets annoying after awhile sway route like with a goal with this. It's funny how cooler master hasn't come up with something like this. All I have is the block, but this is individual fans that you connect together. So sexy and way more revolutionary thing than what they did with their little block thing. That's. Hangar Flying to Favorite Airports

"Let's kick things off. and. Let's start sort of sort of closer to home of the three of us come from different parts of the country and different experiences. all around, but Let's start here in the mid and just kind of round. Robin sort to work our way out so tom that you kick it off. Of your favorite One of your favorite Midwest airports. Sure well. Obviously, we all. We all know and love wittman regional airport here in here in oshkosh which. A lot of people don't get to experience during the other fifty one weeks of the year, but it's a very vibrant little airport on I guess it's kind of unique in that you know we have this giant runway lay out that. You know in in many ways serves the needs of the tenants airport, but also another ways you know uniquely serves the needs of Va.. So it's, it's a very big airport for. For what it is, that's kind of neat but. But yeah kind of going a little farther afield of of. I all A- Wisconsin That is sixty three Charlie if I remember correctly. I look. Central County, airport. Is a little grass strip about twenty miles thirty miles, maybe north west of of Oshkosh. That has three grass runways including one. That actually has a parallel grass taxiway. And plenty of space departure airplanes, they even have a little bit of a campsite with a with a fire ring and. Some showers that are available and stuff like that, so you can come in and camp but it is the absolute epitome of a grassroots airport, and the really neat thing that they do at Iowa is on every Friday. They host a lunch for members of the community as well as members of the classic car community locally. And just fly in there pay a couple of bucks for lunch and on a good day in the summer you'll see I think their record is similar north of eighty airplanes. So that's like a really really amazing annual fly in that we do every every week up here. That place really is so much fun. like you said multiple grass runways and number one. When you when you told me that you're you're airstrip. Airport has a grass runway. You know already sold when tell me has more than one than I. Just swoon a little bit. That's so cool and they've got their. Big Open sort of hangar style clubhouse, and there's a million airplane models hanging from the ceiling and pictures all around all kinds of cool history, and you know a great cast of characters. Food is always amazing. Now one thing that Tom United talked about this before, and we've. We've been up there. Many times in order for them to to make this work into serve food without necessarily. Having to call themselves restaurant you know they're still. They still have To adhere to and everything of course, but basically you join. The is the Central County Sport Flyers. Central, county flyers associated. Center County Flyers, association, and a lifetime membership is something like eleven dollars, and so you get there? You show your membership card, and then you are part of the Social Club and you can, you can eat at. Boy It's it's well worth it. You still pay for the lunch. But, just a just a blast to go up there. See what kind of airplanes come in. You mentioned classic cars being a big thing up there. One of the biggest car shows in the country, if not the biggest actually held up there, and I allowed kind of out of the way out of the way spot and that culture pervades around. I think so many of us who love airplanes can appreciate. Cars and motorcycles and other vintage machinery, to yeah, and you mentioned the CL-. The Central County Flyers. Association I believe under Wisconsin Law. If you're in a social club, it has to have some kind of a common purpose so in order to join the Central County Fires Association you must. Attest that you are dedicated to the promotion of General Aviation. That is something that I don't think any of us would have any trouble doing. and. I'm willing to go on record. Yes, we can. We can manage that. So Chris, how about you? What what are you got in the Mid West you like, so? I'M GONNA turn slightly south and talk about the fond lack airport Fund lack airport. I spent a couple of days at it a couple of weeks ago because they let a stage, the Huey there as we're moving our new edition into the museum. And I didn't realize how busy that little airport is that we had a couple really nice clear days and I was blown away. That was a that was. A Busier airport does few days. I, was there, but what really stands out for me is the early trips when I would come from Pennsylvania to hear you know fund. Lack was the first. SORTA signed. That something was different. You heading towards something great, you know you're you're coming up forty one. It's just on the left side of forty one and like you'd go by this normal general aviation look airport and there'd be like a hell diver sitting next to the road. See. You knew that like that's not normal. You know and there'd be a Corsair there or and. It was it was basically overflow for the show and They basically had their own air show down there. I mean you just walk around looking at some of the coupons just park down there either you know someone rides or waiting their turn to get into the field here Nash cash in but it was always that I like I remember. It was probably pretty dangerous because we would always likes trainer. I'm probably not pay close attention to the roads. We should pass and fond lack airport just to. See what was out, and what was there and it really really helped peak the excitement of close out ten hour trip

"Let's get into things. Jabber Nick just say something here, I. Of course. You seem to forget Steve from time to time that the unbelievable jam packed. Brain I have of knowledge. Okay, all right and Welcome back! Jim K. The big Guy Jason. Biggs supporters of the show and longtime car dealer. For? So they got this new, Lincoln. The Corsair. Right that there that they've come out with and I say to you yesterday. I'm going you court. There used to be a Ford Corsair. When you know they're didn't this is new, you know. I didn't know I looked it up. And there was a wikipedia page that said it came out in twenty nineteen I. Yeah, I wasn't strongly saying one way or the other, but I say well. This is what I'm seeing here so I think it's new, but I can. I can hear what you're thinking when I say golf. Jerome doesn't always. Brought US down. Sure enough stevie. I said to you there used to be a car called the Corsair. and. Low and behold stevie. You are correct sir. Not only am I correct, but also when you look I sent you the page where I found, it also said we had one of those. Right. Now, let me specify. This was the Ford Consul Corsair well, which is back in the sixties, not to be confused with what we're promoting on the show, and that's the all new. Lincoln Corsair I know, but still I told him. Yeah, you're right. There was a corsair out there and yeah had a console that was the first car I remember. Like. When my parents had a vehicle. That's the one I remember. I. We had a Red Ford Consul Yeah. I. Had A really cool car. My kids were young and. they were kind of quiet in the backseat of love. This car I love. This car had sport low profile for speed Stevie and the kids sort of goes silent. Okay? There were driving along somewhere. And I finally recognize this loud silence. You know what I mean, right? And look back in my kid is knowing away with his teeth. Do on the side of the door because it's kind of spongy, okay? Piercing the brand new door. Steve with tooth miles teeth marks. Though all looked down. Alligator gone out my and so now it's done okay now. It's done, but it reminded me of the day. When. We, lived in Sudbury and my I'm a lot like my dad was just running for my life all the time you know and my dad was like a busy guy, was a lawyer up and remember parliament, and he was just constantly trying to get shit done. You know and one of them was. Handed out Christmas cards. He sent Christmas cards in the pile of them. That he he didn't get around to sending out, so he threw me in the car. He had a brand new car and said come on. We got I gotta go drop these. It was Christmas Eve. Steve Okay, so he's talking about leaving stuff to the last minute. and. So I said Yeah. It's going to go for a ride the new car, so he's flying around town dropping these things off at like ten at night. People stop it into our drink at every place leaving me in the car. Okay, because it was running. The wintertime and I had one of those he had one of those little plastic scraper. Stevie, the little small ones. Okay! Yeah, there. You scrape your windshield. So I, I got my hands on this I was a little bored Stevie and and proceeded to punch my name with the quarter of the corner of that scraper into the dashboard. Dash is very big dashes, and I got in there and just put jungle. Dad came out and I'm like looked at, and.

Have you learned something new over the last few weeks signed up for an online course on work related skills or maybe decided to take up a new hobby. You are in good company. My friend during the first week of January Lincoln reported that its users watched more than a half million hours of linked and learning. That sounds like a lot but the first week in April learners watched one point seven million hours of classes three times as many same transit true of other online learning platforms to among the heavy hitters in this category is core. Sarah launched in two thousand twelve. The platform offers virtual classes taught by university professors for a fraction of university prices. Since stay at home orders began. The company. Says there's been eightfold increase in enrollment in social science personal development and arts and humanities courses according to The Guardian? That's an unprecedented increase core. Sarah Chief Product Officer Shrub on Goalie told newspaper. So what's happening? Well like so. Many Corona virus related phenomena. A lot of things are happening at once. I of course it's simply that millions of people have been home and while parents are busier than ever trying to help their children learn online. Many people without kids at home have time on their hands. And there's only so much netflix you can watch can hear it amen. In addition millions of us are searching for ways to tame pandemic inspired anxiety both linked in learning and core Sarah have seen enormous enrollment jumps in classes designed to help us manage stress for instance core. Sarah serves up the yield course. The science of wellbeing last year. Half a million students took the course encore Sarah's online platform making it the company's bestseller but that's nothing compared to this year so far in twenty twenty one point. Six million people have signed up for the class and on linked in learning over the last few weeks. People have been gravitating toward classes on mindfulness stress reduction and resilience. And then there's the elephant in the room layoffs as of last week. More than twenty six million. Americans had filed for unemployment. Some people are using. This moment is an opportunity to learn skills. Intended to make them more employable to prepare for job-hunting students are signing up to learn everything from data science and computer to personal branding both core Sarah and linked in are also trying to help solve pandemic related problems. Normally Corsair sells a version of its platform to schools and universities but when schools closed the company offered it to them for free in February fifty campuses were paying for the service today. Sixty eight hundred. Schools and universities are using the platform. The company says course era has also just started to make its courses free to the unemployed through partnerships with state local and international government. The company launched the program last week in Illinois Oklahoma and Arizona linked in to is offering classes in everything from small business management sales skills leadership for free to anyone who wants them unemployed or not normally linked in courses come with premium memberships. Which cost thirty dollars to a hundred dollars? A month courses from these platforms are useful but also quite serious. So what if you're just looking to learn something new for fun? Will you could turn to masterclass which offers eighty courses taught by celebrity? Instructors consider for instance a class self expression from Dragonstar Rupaul. Tennis from Serena Williams were screenwriting from Shonda rhimes. One class costs ninety dollars. In annual all access pass is just twice that much masterclass which is privately held. Says it's enrollments are growing but it's tight lipped and won't give any numbers away. Clearly though masterclasses leaders know how to grab eyeballs with so many of its ideal customers at home. It seems to be advertising more than ever video trailers seem to be all over facebook and instagram streams. The company claims it has an increased. Its advertising budget is just targeting its prospects precisely still. The ads are so ubiquitous that Saturday. Night Live spoofed. M. S. and L.'s. Version parodies actor Timothy. Shell may teaching students. How to wear a Hoodie? And Josie with the teenage former dance MOMS star teaching tick tock skills. Satire is rarely far from the truth. Of course masterclass has such diverse

I'm driving a moving truck backed Omar in a couple days probably so okay cool now you have a question for Christy about yourself yeah I don't know I mean I've been trying to get myself together and because I've been moving around I mean I was living in California for a while and I'm trying to get back to and about then my my parents passed away in last year my mom passed away and so just turn there I don't know went through kind of depression for a while and and this some hard times in just trying to get back into my career working again and and I was trying to connect with some old friends and stuff back in in Lincoln and online and I have a I have a girl I met online and huge sounds like she really cares about me I've been talking to her he's in another country and and she's a really he seems like a really sweet girl and really cares about me for some reason I can't even figure out why stop there Mr Scorpio Happy Birthday by the way yeah we are our own worst enemies actually Scorpios tend to be very very hard on ourselves it's interesting as soon as you said your birthday and there was a monarchy that came through really serene and calm she's made her travels our journey to the other side and she feels very cheap she feels very well whole again as much as you might be having the grief she feels very hall she's really trying to help kind of I. navigate you through all of that you know the future of security of everything and I do actually believe that you're going to meet somebody special and twenty twenty so they show me around summertime is when there's going to be a friendship I don't know if the two you're talking to an hour somebody that in the neighboring community that you end up moving to but they show that she's very loyal she's very trustworthy and then it's going to turn into a romantic relationship she's a little bit younger than me ale little back sell but they show that she's very much to our and I don't know if you necessarily want to get married but I do see you wanting to be attached there is prosperity that's coming for you as well so once you start to stop route mark you're gonna steal much more whole again yourself and and talk to mom and dad because they're trying to help you from the other side especially mom she's trying to help any of the follow up question mark yeah I mean sounds sounds like she connected with me pretty well do do you deal do you do like like private readings like town like the every email or something like that after she rather that that com is my website I DO sessions all over the world because that that link for your market the coast to coast okay okay what what what country she from a curious Thailand okay and I've got a friend who just got married to a girl from Thailand very very stringent in terms of sedition ship here in this country's Justin are you get yourself a good immigration the end up falling in love get yourself a good immigration attorney that in that may be the toughest country for somebody to come into our country and stay it's tough but some some of the laws of charter there so I'm not seeing that happen I don't I don't want to negate that romance you know have charter talking about you know telling the good the bad and the ugly I still feel like he's gonna end up meeting somebody near ham where it's it's going to be L. a little bit and honestly easier but a little bit easier and they keep saying that she may be a teacher sell occupationally there's something very teaching all the possibilities open symbols at next up we're going to Jeremy truck driving in Missouri may seventeenth is Jeremy's birthday Jeremy welcome to the program good morning George more your whereabouts in the Missouri are you right now right outside Carthage okay be careful and the question for Christy go ahead I'm just curious what next years gonna bring me in the families that are pretty rough couple years without the families the moving all over the country so yeah so Jeremy you're a Taurus but you're right on the cusp also seemed a little German I inhale as well a little flash so that that kind of what you've kind of offered to the family as that loyalty and that very hard working masculine energy which also you know it Tauruses have a stereo type being a little bit egotistical now I say stereotype because that's not necessarily true so bad that they try to not let everybody see their emotional side and there is that reliability so this next year this next upcoming year feels like you're not going to be wandering as much as what you have they do show that you love to travel that you love the change of perspective that you like the option but they're showing that to twenty twenty kind of brings a little bit more stability to you and then the office sentences that they don't want you to feel like you're getting bored sellers sometimes you add some drama here life because you think that stability is equating compartment they don't want that to happen and you love you love money you like funny like to earn a cell is there showing that twenty twenty is going to bring some more well organized finances they're gonna be paid follow up Jeremy go ahead no Sir I would live all right my friend hope everything works out for you let's go to bed now in Somerset New Jersey April seventh for Ben welcome to the program high band hi George Christy god bless you guys you have done something George the those two Aries readings that she did before he also so there is some kind of thing with what you were saying yeah we're about similarities yep absolutely you got a question for I've been under the astrology a couple days ago it says that I looking forward to a victory I'm a long held aspiration and I have been I was just wondering if you could tell me anything one aspiration do you head out I guess that's that my question is my biggest desperation that thing for years which I don't know I might personal prayer is I prayed to find myself one with god and willing to do my part that that's very nice I love that life path one of my favorite questions that I kind of offer my clients is what do you want to be when you grow up and I don't mean from an occupational standpoint but we kind of take it from that night at ten year old boy one time that when I ask them what you want to be when you grow up his answer was happy and I thought this person is going to end up having an amazing destiny because the fact that you know that's what's leading in the direction of his life as assisting clients at bringing joy to other people and I think that that's exactly what you are doing you're conscious about it and with you being conscious about it it's it's like you're winning the lottery you know with that there's this good fortune that kind of comes from that kind of a really weird side note is there is a there is a female on the other side that feels like a grandmother energy if you look at mom's mom and she didn't have the easiest life this is such a random thing to come through but she keeps showing me something to do with legal documents around jail and just be careful of legal documents of what she is she sang so it could be real estate that you end up purchasing and twenty twenty or you end up refinancing there's something that she's just heard your taxes the double check your CPA or something to do with that that just feels a little that stressful to me and it is our round that may June time period but they just want you to be careful of but as for you know what is coming in the future it feels like the dark clouds are starting to kind of the center grate around you and there's a lot of unexpected expected things that will happen it feels very positive how many people bring these black clouds over their own heads thank you bye all of us you think so yeah we you know and they're situations that obviously you know get pushed you know around us but we can get stuck in that rut and and not get out of that and it's up to us to choose to get out of that right let's go to Barbara in the old orchard beach Maine welcome to the program I barb George if you nice to talk to both of you thank you go ahead the first question we got about a minute and a half left Christy go ahead bar all okay my birthday is in a sense and my question is am I on the right path choosing an unconventional way of healing I love that so you're a you're a strong willed Torres strait makes the know you're dumb and I may fifth so is they show that you are the the only thing that they do showers they they keep cautioning on something auto immune I feel very inflamed with CEO and they keep saying that there's something I'm notionally connected to the path that is trying to kind of come out and a whole flag and a health care type of away so it's like a hypnotherapist might work with regards to an acupuncturist might work with regards to it but the other side of it not make this really quick is that you are a great healer you heal other people as well and they show that you kind of absorb other peoples stuff especially family stuff for the same kind of give a little bit of a wide berth around that so that you can heal but they do give me the nod that you're on the right path when you do your readings what percent of relationships jobs or health how would you break those down arm eight it seems almost gone way it seems to you know one week or one month I'll have almost all job issues you know one month it'll be a lot of issues it's interesting how it almost seems itself that way then and then the week follows the the same whatever might be it does yeah it's it's interesting how it kind of moves and the different territories but there's all we've sort of a similarity with that and that could also have something to do with the way that the universe is moving at that time as well with the planet the name of the book was Christy rather that is born under a sign and Christy spell out your website for folks that haven't had a chance to go to the link it coast to coast am dot com it is hold our I. W. used to have the username relive vehicles off to winds and tell it to go on came along which was mixture between target and iguana but they was just feeling the Passat was it was named after where the system the Gulf was named after weather system the the jet was named after where the system so you see people going to single names and non nomenclature for their vehicles Tesla model three eccentric but then you see companies like Ford and Lincoln going back to the names of vehicles Lincoln and definitely you know the MKZ the M. K. X. the MKC now being replaced by the corsair and by the aviator certainly I will say that I think Lincoln has done exactly the right thing here thank you are really really good names that I think will stand the test of time hopefully their cars will actually need up to these great naming standards that they're finally come out for the last couple of years here so I'd certainly give them my ten point for something up a good names cat like of course had a nuclear war left over from previous generations some other very bad things to manageable for example if you're going to launch an electric car in your General Motors I mean how in god's green earth would do not labeler held their Rado curricular auto for crying out loud one of my he will it I mean come on they had the best names around and they squander them and not armor I'm a huge team of all in your I've done now coming out for that electric off road jeep that is extremely retro probably only electric cars but I'm seeing to come to market that doesn't have digital gauges or have some sort of connectivity features like it it's not going to let her get an analog world by looking retro vintage what calmer ought to head being the for crying out loud give GM murdered business market would have jumped into the electric error with this pedal retro off road vehicle that would have the others wouldn't it have been the greatest gift of all time if they had done that I mean I'd since and somehow that there something and and product planning and management here that that it's just left to be desired I don't know I think I think the GM will definitely be looking at the however and wondering you know where they're at with and who knows if they have something secretly under the wax they they have a lot of products that they need to bring out amber and refresh over the next few years and definitely with a lot of the vehicle is a sedan is disappearing he's listening Nick smiles are auto expert is moments away on come on this one thousand and ninety seven seven when was the last introducing a new.

EPA Carries out Trump Threat, Cites San Francisco for Water Pollution Linked to Homeless Crisis

"Thing. where broadcasting today from San Francisco where president trump is continuing an all out attack on the city's homeless population and political leaders on Wednesday the trump administration filed an environmental notice of violation against San Francisco falsely claiming the city's homelessness crisis has caused water pollution this is trump announcing the move in a tirade against house speaker Nancy Pelosi who is home district is San Francisco. focus on our own district you see what's happening to our district we call it ten city it's terrible in fact we just sent a violation to the city of San Francisco unsafe water unsafe conditions environmental EPA are EPA which is doing a great job is sending Nancy Pelosi with all the talk about EPA. his needles and drugs all over the street this tense there's people that are dying in squalor. in the best location in San Francisco it used to be a great city now you have to see what's happened to San Francisco you happen to see what what's what the Democrats have allowed to happen. city officials have repeatedly rejected trump's unfounded claims that homelessness is connected to water quality the EPA's action comes a week after environmental protection agency chief financial Wheeler said in a letter to California governor Gavin Newsom that California's failing to enforce the clean water act Wheeler has also threatened to pull billions of dollars in federal highway funding to California accusing it of having the worst air quality in the United States a spokesperson for governor news and has called trump's most political retribution against California plain and simple California is home to twelve percent of the country's population but half of the country's on sheltered homeless people president trump has been pushing for a crackdown on the crisis for weeks The Washington Post reported last month trump ordered the White House officials to launch this effort and that his administration is considering actions like destroying homeless encampments California congressman roe kana told The Washington Post yet again this is bravado for trump's base with no interest in the actual policy experts recommendations to solve an issue conoce at for more we're joined here in San Francisco by two guests Jennifer Frieden Bach is the executive director of the coalition on homelessness and Paul Boden is the executive director of the western regional advocacy project or wrap a homeless advocacy group he was formerly homeless himself Jennifer freedom back let's begin with you the attack by president trump specifically on California now in San Francisco saying that homeless people are responsible for water pollution can you respond overall. yeah I mean it's it's ridiculous on on a few fronts first of all corsair Francisco filters its water there's there's no link to water pollution but more importantly is that trump himself is in a position where he could truly address this crises we have a situation where we have you know in San Francisco about twenty one thousand people experiencing homelessness every year and that can be traced right back to his feet on his wedding gauged in massive cuts to hide he's also done in action in restoring the hud budget which is where the roots of this crisis began when you know the hud budget has been cut so dramatically starting in the late seventies and through the early eighties and has continued since just this divestment from insuring that people in the US have a safe and decent place to call home so it's really ironic that he's complaining about it and then causing the problem and doing nothing to solve it. well I'd like to turn to had secretary that's housing and urban development secretary Ben Carson discussing California's housing crisis on fox news last month. a lot of these people have mental health issues a lot of men of drug addiction some of them simply have fallen on hard times and don't know how to deal with it but as a compassionate society it is something that we have to do something about we can't just talk about it should it be the responsibility of the federal government now these are local problems and the things that work best are when the local authorities take appropriate attention to these problems and then the federal government can help from the state government can help them. so that's had secretary Dr Ben Carson I po Boden if you could respond yeah it's just it's so profoundly ridiculous that this is the person that's running hi when you look at the nineteen thirty seven housing act that created. it said very clearly and that legislation that it was the federal government's responsibility to ensure that people have a clean safe adequate place to live in nineteen ninety eight they amended that to say the federal government cannot be held accountable to do that during the welfare reform must that Newt Gingrich and signed by Clinton but the reason hide was created in this is the individual charged with administering that that federal department is to ensure housing is available to poor people throughout the United States and this is in a California or a San Francisco issue sample California may have a larger number of people according to hides point in time head count but that's because they go out on January twenty fifth every other year and do a head count and that's how they did they come up with the number of homeless people in the United States that's ridiculous and of course warm weather climates are gonna have a higher number we don't know what the number of homeless people as with any specificity because it's something that poor people go in and out of all the time this is a federal responsibility to ensure that people in the United States have a decent place to live that they can afford and we now spend fifty four billion dollars a year in two thousand four constant dollars less on affordable housing than we did before the homeless crisis kicked in in the early nineteen eighties restore that funding look at the cause and effect of eliminating that funding and you'll see the numbers of homeless people go way down because we all know nothing and homelessness like a home. I'd like to turn to San Francisco mayor London braid talking about the causes of homelessness and San Francisco she was interviewed on PBS last month. housing affordability is at the core of what I know is a challenge for even middle income families struggling to live in San Francisco between twenty ten and twenty fifteen the city we concentrate on jobs jobs jobs with a two point six percent unemployment rate but during that same time for every eight jobs we create it we created one unit of housing and then it was like a battle between people who are moving here people have lived here folks are being pushed out of communities that they were born and raised in like my friends and family and and including the public housing I grew up in it was three hundred units it was torn down and only two hundred units were built so there were a lot of mistakes that were made around housing and housing production and over around a portable housing

Gilroy Garlic Festival shooting leaves at least 4 dead

"Day a beautiful day it is and we start out of course with that with sad news once again a of twisted individual has done set the unthinkable but I do want to just discuss this a bit for the purpose of putting things in context I'm in I think it's important to do this and and frankly every time something of this nature comes UP I remind myself and I encourage others to think of it and process it in a similar fashion it goes without saying it's a foregone conclusion that the person ninety to nineteen years of age nineteen that in the world you muster and the mass so much hatred in your life by the age of nineteen is is that it's amazing to me I don't understand that if you look at the the opportunities that exist in our society right now there's plenty to complain about if you don't like the way things are going I understand that but there is all are also just abundant opportunities to live a good life and there are so many chances for people to excel in this wonderful society but for whatever reason he couldn't get there are so it appears and he identified with that very very very old book relative to white supremacy and hatred and vile fought and that apparently you think it's risen reasonable to suggest or infer that that was the other bases upon which he developed this hatred and active in the matter which she did and of course that they the victims on this thing it truly yeah it's it's it's heartbreaking to think about other people lost here so here's here's the story there about a hundred thousand people who attended this weekend long event than they do most years has been going on for a while in Gilroy full disclosure I'm not a garlic fan so I couldn't get far enough away from the place but yeah it's a it's a nice family that is sort of gathering and pleasant people and it said opportune for them to showcase your community and something unique about their community to wit garlic and that is something that there there is a market for obviously people like it people live go out of their way to get it and that what what's not to like about it said there there are charities whose purposes are well served by this event it's a it's a community event it's something to bring people together and it does appear as though the Gilroy police department and their colleagues from the surrounding area have worked rather diligently to ensure that if the unthinkable happens they were prepared to intervene and stop the of the path of carnage before things got to the unthinkable level so in this particular incident appears as though eight three add three people now are confirmed dead at three innocent victims that includes a six year old boy which is just absolutely just just a heartbreaking thought you think a little kid out there with his parents and think what it has done to them and that if it is unreasonable as it is they will feel some level of guilt for this and they shouldn't twelve more have been injured it's one of those people is in critical condition at Santa Clara valley Medical Center the spokesperson for the Medical Center said their patients are between the ages of twelve and sixty nine years the suspect to our will not to identify on the air waves because he's not worth it is not worthy of it he was nineteen years of age and he was fatally shot by police within about a minute of his opening fire the giveaway police chief Scott Smith he said the shooter was armed with an HK forty seven you often times here today K. forty seven people tend to go there when maybe it's not maybe it's in their fifteen platform but it sounds like they are calling this an A. K. forty seven Instagram post bearing the name of the suspect mention as a white supremacist I and a reference book added and showed a picture of people walking around the event shortly before the shooting began it's I find that interesting I would still unknown is the motive and they're working diligently to find out what the motive may be and it's been but I think it's very very difficult if not impossible to try to get inside the head of somebody who's predisposed to engage in this kind of activity it just for the life of me who in the world would have an axe to grind against people who choose to go to a festival of this nature yeah there's all kinds of of things people do that are found one another but but people going out with their families having a nice time on a on a nice weekend I just doesn't rise to that list but one of the things I want people to think about then this case you had one there's there's some there's some possibility there may have been too involved but only one shooter so you have one person who did the unthinkable at one person who'd graphically displayed as the epitome of evil that the worst possible trade the worst possible behavior that a human being can display to to develop such tremendous animus towards others and act on that animus in a way that is life ending of innocent people to include a six year old boy that's the the it just does not get any worse than that it doesn't but the counter that you had people who recognize what he was and what he had by way of potential if in fact he had an HK forty seven and I suspect it's true and he I understand he did magazine changes during the course of his his shooting you have police officers who were there who who are trained and understand not only they trained and prepared to to engage with somebody who's involved and and that kind of behavior but they also have sufficient training and knowledge and background understand the potential futility of their efforts that that's virtually a suicide mission regardless of your marks person skills I had to go up against a person so incredibly well armed and having the ability to do magazine changes with rapid fire if you go up against a person with armed with a handgun that's incredible that is a I defy you to come up with a better illustration of valor and then what they displayed so people who are willing to insert themselves into this equation with the trial against tremendous odds it you know if in the movies you might think no big deal he's got a gun I got a gun I can take him out but they get these guys know and gals remember it was they know absolutely positively unequivocally that they are sufficiently significantly out gunned and the likelihood the the the legitimate evidence based likelihood of them surviving that is not on their side so I'm I'm not saying this because our police officers but they're human beings who personified good in the face of evil and there's no doubts at countless stories of others who behaved in how Rourke self was ways so as as it disheartening as it is S. is maddening is saddening as it is to think about this twisted person engaging in this kind of contact and and leaving significant Linda amount of loss your reversible loss deaths of human beings to include the very young in his wake it is you just think my god how could we possibly have somebody living among us who is who is so so incredibly evil but I encourage you to think about the juxtaposition the balancing effect of that when you to consider the people there who were engaged in an enormous overt conspicuous acts of selfless valor so it is I think worthy of note in it might possibly help people I understand the the kind of balancing of fact that society is not a loss we're not all horrible and in fact the evidence of of incredible good in the face of evil is is very very real yeah and I'm sure without knowing the details without having gotten any information other than what's been published I would be willing to bet that it wasn't just the officers that were there who engage in such incredible valor but no doubt others who stepped into harm's way a to protecting shield and help evacuate other human beings who were in a band that have portable position so when you think of what could have happened when you think of that what the potential was what no doubt what his desires were he is in his being the gunman the fact that the the death toll up one is unacceptable but it but relatively low in the context of what it could have been I am a corsair conversations and comments and questions about detectors another screening at this kind of an event I don't know how you know are realistically if a person is bent on getting in there understand he may have breached a fencing gotten through so that that's yeah I I think trying to hard the target to the extent it can be done is is fine but it also if that's there if you have that present it also is a kind of a signal for somebody who's inclined to behave in a manner which this guy did that if you are armed and you get in there you're likely going to be the only one armed well he was not the only one arm they were good people there there were armed equipped trained and the and willing to engage them he's dead they're alive so it's not as horrific as it could
