And then McGregor says, basically the, you know, you guys shut off, he sucks this and that just kind of going off on like just just going off on bisbing, which is like visiting is like I mean, awesome. And, and what you want for bisbing. I mean, he just basically is, it makes no sense, right? How are you doing? Great. I thought you were watching, who's there? She is..

"Care what you put their ends in champion. That was a champion. That's awesome as all of you. Guys are aware. I usually have some strong feelings about john. Jones and the rankings. How about we combine the two. Oh the rankings the rankings gods have done it again right now. Apparently this is the hill. I want to die. Apparently i'm just not ready to let go or willing to let go of the idea of how ridiculous the rankings are. Now understand where i come from acacia new viewer. I love the rankings. But i'm also a guy who gets paid to sit on his ass in front of a camera and it gives me a jumping off point every single tuesday at eight. am never eight time that rankings. Come out that. I don't now have something to discuss particularly on a low day. I can look at the controversy of the rank. And i can look whether or not i agree with the ranking but i will always have something to discuss and it also puts us the community in line with other sports of which all carry a ranking in that regard great my resentment towards the ranking issue coward fighters who don't want to get in there and do any of the heavy lifting and you use your weight of getting out of something into this guy isn't ranked high enough now the rankings have struck yet again to prove how much they stink. They did it this morning. John jones is the number one ranked pound for pound fighter in the world. Why is that ridiculous. Because john doesn't have a license to fight. John doesn't have a contract to fight. John is not fought in a meaningful period of time. And you come forward and you still want to say. Yeah but he's the best okay. Khabib fought more recently than john. Meaningfully more recently eight months more recently and kabaeva is not right. How we were out of meaningful debate x. amount of time ago. Who should be one who should be too. There is even a time because we've asked forty. Did nothing more than ask for but you guys did. Put him at one and you move john to to. Now you've move. John to one without fighting could not right at all. How will g chill real easy. Answer could be retired. How can you say john. Has it used the words. I'm not going to fight again. That was enough to get him unranked. John used other words but his actions were the opposite of them. He hasn't fought as a matter of fact he has no contract to fight. He is not identified a way class and he has no license but he's ranked number one not only easy right number one. He moved up from two to one. I'm not sure that the rankings don't have it right by the way. I'm not sure if i wasn't in charge of the rankings that i wanted to take a guy at his word i would just be confronted with reality. Which is this guy's word as he's going to fight again but he did it eight months less previous than the guy who says he's not going to do it again. Who are you to tell me who. I can rank. If we're not going to look at people that are active in doing it. But moreover we're not even gonna look at people that are licensed to do it. My father was a plumber. Worked hard every day but a plumber doesn't mean he worked for a plumbing. Company is a level of education and schooling. That comes with what's known as a journeyman license it is an actual term. Had my father lead that license expire or heated updated. He would no longer be a plumber. And if you went and took a job and tried to charge wage claiming to be a plumber. And he didn't have that little license in his pocket. It would have been fraud so before you tell me. Quit talking about his license. All he has to do is fill up so people you all have a license to that are sixteen or older. And if you don't have a license you can't operate the vehicle you don't have to go in and be tested every year but you are going to have to renew that and if you ever don't renew it and you get pulled over you're going find out the big difference in having a license and not having one in being currently licensed and formerly licensed so the rankings committee took john. Jones who used to be number two is now number one. Not having fought took the number one guy who was who fought eight months more recent moved him out completely and then they moved up for sale. They moved up surreal. Those things seem to make a level of sense so you got one really weird one in conjunction with two. That makes us. But that's this tuesday's. If i was to take you back to a tuesday prior we had guys who moved into the top ten. Who had wins. But they weren't over top ten. Is i also think the rankings got it right. I don't think it is low. Michael has to beat the number four guy in the world to be right number four in the world. I think we can juxtaposed the performances. We can look at what islam has done at the lack of opposition. He had to face. And i don't mean the lack of competition. I'm talking about the lack of offenses opponents. Were even able to mount because he was so one way aggressive. And i think that you could take him from a number fourteen to a top five spot even if he didn't beat one of those guys but you don't you who argues on the side. My favorite fighters shouldn't fight so and so because my favorite fighter has a number three next to his name and that guy doesn't have a ranking at all. You're kind of left on an island by yourself. You're playing third base where the catcher's mitt. Meanwhile you give me sean. O'malley who i think has a ranking. I don't actually know. But he's got a beautiful record. He's one of the most important guys within the division. He's a main card or higher fighter. And you put them against anybody. Want what's the difference. What is possibly the difference. Because you'll never get around the fact that daniel korea who was a number one contender took a barista who was not in the organization impact. Cummings daniel beat pat. Cummings daniels next. Fight was a main event against jon jones for the world championship. The rankings are ridiculous but nobody in the rankings department needs to be embarrassed. They're not meaningful. Anyway they weren't meant to be they were meant to be something to talk about by a guy like me who used to love to talk about it. My only disdain and push back to the ridiculousness which is our rankings is that you fell. Fighters are using them as an excuse to.

"I can't meet that data. Surreal and you don't want to be punished. What if you're surreal. And you've got the sense that god gave geese and i don't need to deal with francis anyway as big of a fight. That is bigger fight. Is john jones. Let me get something with him. I got a belt. I'll put it up. He says he wants to be a champion company on my belt. Sure they put intrum in front of my title but they ended up with champion. So what the hell's the difference. What would you do a hypothetical question. We're not confronted with this. But what would you do. If you're willing to work around francis the first time which is what derek versus surreal indicated. Why would you not work around him a second time. Particularly when what. I'm presenting for you. As a much bigger fight jones versus surreal and it would only be big. Because of the surprise factor surreal versus and ghana is on track to be the biggest heavyweight fight of all time and i should remind you brock listener used to be a heavyweight so the heavyweights have some damn big fights in this one is still on track to surpass that but the surprise factor of the immersion of john jones would get. Everybody's wow factor. Now john will never see that coming and john's team will never see that coming and john's next video will be posted doing bench pressing or running on a treadmill. It won't have anything to do with the brilliant idea that i just laid out for you. But what if and before you think. That's terribly far fetched. All i'm doing is taking a scenario. That's happening right in front of us in applying different names to it. It's exactly what dustin poor is doing right now. Imagine that dustin just like to have a negotiation as pertains to olivera and the person on the other. The phone goes. There's nothing to negotiate. You have a contract and you're the number one contender. Which means you drawn to this guy. Sorry we just have nothing to talk about. Maybe next time. Imagine that's the scenario so dustin goes out and he creates something else of even more interest and now dangling that he's not going to follow the architecture you put in place and not give you that fight now you need to steer him back and you see a reason to start discussing things. There was just a brilliant move. It was a very very smart move and when you start messing with championships you start to get push back from the media. You can push back from everybody but me. I love the interim championship. I love the f. And if we could add divisions add categories and do more belts. I would be all for it. I think there is a very limited amount of opportunity. A limited amount of recognition. I love the olympics. But the fact that they can only pull it off every four years just shows you how disorganized. The olympic committee is while it's more prestigious. It's not more prestigious that you don't know what you're doing well enough to do it more than once. Every four years abu he's doing that in the grappling world right now. Well we're the most prestigious. You're the most prestigious because you're the most rare the most rare. 'cause you don't know what the hell you're doing good at what you did. You put on more events than once every year. I only bring it to you because they can't get away with this. You're not fooling anybody here. So when you start messing with champions you start to get pushback if you start messing with contenders. There's no pushback. You start out. I'm going to do an interim title here or i'm going to spend this title or i'm going to move the date of the all of a sudden people wanna push back they never do it with contenders if this was all lavera calling out somebody other than pori so now. He's openly not given an opportunity. The number one contender. It's going to be a totally different dialogue right now. We have a contender industrial calling out another contender in d. s. It's very much unchartered territory. I don't know that. I've seen anything like it. A little bit more time to fully deduce what i make of it i can tell you right now. I love it. I love the concept. I don't believe we're going to see poor versus date. I believe we're gonna see. Portia versus oliveira. But the fact that we now have something to talk about. Dustin has to have something to talk about if he starts getting anything to define where he goes next. And this is what you're gonna do based on just because it doesn't put himself in a great position he's found a work around it was a brilliant move.

"Belt on the line point. I'm attempting to make as pori a this isn't revisionist history. This is somebody who he's been trying to clyde with for a number of years so his argument looks very good. We get that as a crash. Grab we get that. He's after the money but you have to be able to disguise that in some fashion and dustin is so what do you do. If you're charles olivera right what do you do. I don't know that anybody's been in this spot before. I don't know that i can recall a time. A number one. Contender has called for a fight. That wasn't the champion. And then you add the caveat that the fight of the number one contender is calling for is a bigger fight. I believe that there would be more attention for as versus. Portia which does have two two and a half year run in history behind it then there would be for pori vs oliver which is a very good fight. It's a very good fight just attempting to acknowledge that. I don't think we've ever been in a spot where number one contender has called for a fight against somebody else. It would be very fascinated. This continued to happen and we all kind of kept our mouths shut. Throw away the key when it came to surreal. God's gonna take on francis and gone we feel as though we understand that we feel that is what the entrance championship represents in the interim champions gotta take on the undisputed champion that is certainly the intent. But what if surreal gone. When after john. John's what if what a surreal gone said. I am the interim champion. I would like to defend my belt. I'm going to put the interim championship up for grabs against john. What would happen. What would you guys do. And i understand that they have any kind of integrity towards the competitive arcus architecture of which this sport greatly lax but to show any kind of integrity for. You could not do that. But what would you do if you weren't a decision. Making role and surreal gone. Call out john johnson johnson. I think that's a great idea of already. Been the undisputed champion. I would like to go for this interim championship. What would you do you ever hard time getting francis to the table. He apparently needs training camps before he goes out and goes to work three times a year. What if john came in said. Yeah the interim championship. That's something new. That's something i would like to do. What would you do. it's an interesting spot. It's not one that. I think that we're going to be put in. I think that it's very much hypothetical that very much. It's for nothing more than conversation but it does appear to be happy at hundred and fifty five pounds right now. I believe area has to go fight all. But that's also because i've been inundated in influenced throughout the number one. Contender fights the champion. And the champion fights the number one contender. I believed that pori. Eight versus conor mcgregor was to represent who that person was at one hundred and fifty five pounds to take on the winter of michael meikeljohn versus olvera conditioned to believe that as they advanced. This fight has done nothing left to see here. Thank you very much for coming. Here's your hat what's your hurry. I don't know that it's quite that obvious. What poor is doing. I don't think it's got legs to it. I think it's a conversation piece but what would happen if other guys did that. What would happen if other number one contenders did not want to fight for the championship or other champions did not want to fight the number one contender. Because that's the game that they've been playing for years in boxing. You have to deal with it every time. There's a big fight. The champion never fights the right guy. In most cases the guy their community calls the champion isn't the best. We haven't had to deal with that in him. And if you do have guys that are unwilling to come to the table. Why should a number one contender have to sit around. If francis in ghana wherever his issue is whatever reason he didn't go out to houston and do what he was supposed to do. Which apparently i begrudge apparent i mean. I've got some tone. What i've been talking about francis lately. There's something about that apparently annoys me. What if he tries to do it again since. You're real have to be punished. Because don't forget the whole alert person that we learned this argument from was francis. It's just once you get a belt all of a sudden the guy's not the same anymore all of a sudden the guy's not as hungry. It's never happened. We've never seen anybody outside of the name of kamara who's men who with. A belt is just as happy and active to compete. We've never seen it but francis. The nineteen stopped rosen strike. Dana came out and said that's the number one contender. He will wait for a world title fight. Francis was angry about francis said no i work for a living. I fight for living. I don't want to be punished. I don't want to be made unemployed. I don't want to have to sit on the shelf. I don't want my good deeds in my hard work to be punished. I want it to be rewarded. That was unforeseen not at all. How dana meta. Not at all how. Our community meant it. It was meant as a pat on the back and a recognition that you are the number one contender and we won't let anything happen to take it from you. Francis didn't see it that way. He saw good work being punished. Great but it's the same guy that now is willing to go to work at all. So what do you do if you get that call from francis..

"At the very beginning. There is no number one contender within the sport and organization anyway class. There is no number one contender who is a clearer. Correct choice for number one contender then destiny. Nobody everybody in the locker room everybody in the division who sold job it is to fight and claw and politics for their own opportunity is standing back and saying i will look like a fool. Of course dustin goes next great but now that you have that established now that the current champion charles. Oliver who would love to be recognized for what he is. Which is a remarkably good fighter. Still has defense still has to do some good work in defending to take his rightful claim in terms of getting recognition from the community. Fine that can start an end with pori all goes out there beats. That's not going close the book. There's always going to be speculation but boy that's going to help you skip a few chapters. Isn't it portrays going into different direction. Now the reason i love. I know portia is gonna find all. Don't think that you have to leave a comment below. I'm well aware i'm bringing to you. What he's doing. All era has to fight the number one contender. Not the other way around. All era has to fight the top guy because he's the champion but it's also what he would like to do internally before his window closes he would like to get as many good names under his belt as he possibly can and the biggest name out there dust emporia goes in another direction. It could look. I.

"And mcgregor. Now i will tell you. This was a piece of drama. That largely caught me off guard to see connor going after daniel. Cormet many ways daniels like this untouchable because everybody likes him. He's the baddest dude in the room at all times. But he's also the most playful right so nobody ever gets mad at daniel and we'll just be really hard to do and connor lashed out with him last out on him. This is through twitter now. Conner has sense deleted the tweets. Which i think is my bigger problem right because now there's no way to defend connor. I would probably have been of the mind of connors out there entertaining. He's doing what connor does. Great job i would probably make a case for mcgregor. I can't do that when he deletes it because now that means that. He wishes he hadn't said it right. There's no way for connor's defenders to defend him when he publicly declares. i'm wrong. i wish i wanted it done. Which is what deleting it is so then you're left to try to interpret and try to guess. How do we get there in the first place now. There is a part of the store. That might be glaring. Obviously that you guys all know that. I don't which is what started this. I believe i believe it came from a comment. That danielle made that had to do with the injury that resulted in that contest. Being stopped right the breaking conner's foot. I believe daniel was saying that it was checked or it wasn't checked. This seems to be a big deal. The connor connor is hung his hat on some very bizarre arguments. The doctor stoppage was a really important one to him. But he's also making an argument on how the injury hap happened. Was it a kick. Was it a check was an offense wasn't defense. There's something there that matters to him. I don't get it on the foggiest idea why it matters that you lost the fight. Doctor stop i haven't the foggiest idea. How your foot broken in half or as to what the relevance would be when the end result is this fight is stopped because you felt was broken f great. It sounds like we're all saying the same thing but connor is getting very specific on how he wants that worded. And there's something about the way that daniel word of the conard it like and it has to do with this check business. I've heard connor say that before. He said the ring the time. There's something with this check business that he wants acknowledged for what it was. Okay so he comes out at daniel and he says you know the daniels looking sloppy and then he said that daniel was drinking the day before at a at a media event. Is that fireable. I think even used the word sackable so there's multiple problems here right because i always come to you from a standpoint of give mcgregor some slack. He's entertainer he's an entertainer. Whose out entertaining. I lose that argument when he deletes it as soon as it gets deleted his no longer out there. There is no longer in entertainment. That is a form of an apology. That is a form of an admission of guilt. So now i as a defender. I can't take that stint. So what do i stand on. I then have to look at it from the standpoint of mr entertainer is now a snitch. Dan did not show up to anything. Drunk guys do not mistake that let's say he did. Connor said he did corners now a stitch he tattled on him. You tattle on one of the boys did he. Do anything wrong with the obnoxious was he. Unruly no okay. Well then how did you know. I just know i could smell it then. You're a snitch. Why did you tattle on particularly from a guy who's in the business of selling alcohol. It shows up a press conference with the whisky right on the desk matt. Great daniel did not do this sharing with you but now i've got a snitch now. I'm going to try to defend a snitch. Which has been one of carter's great allegations from day one. He's called people rats or he's now he's a tattletale. The whole thing just very weird. So dan comes back. He fires back at at connor. Daniel wins the day. Dallas says they don't worry about me don't worry about dang cormie whereabout all those guys that keep kicking your ass every time you get in the octagon okay. Great point daniel then comes out on top of this thing. Daniel does not delete it because daniel is not a coward. It puts me in a tough spot. It really does. I feel right or wrong attached to connors career. I feel as though. I understand him on away. The others don't and therefore it's incumbent on me to come out and explain to come out and smooth it over. I've still got hope of the pie. There is a portion of it that has ever dimming that does lint to the possibility that he's an entertainer i lose that when he deletes. There's a part of me that sees a guy who's marking out for his own gimmick and as human beings we are whoever we pretend to be and the great actors talking about the award winners the going get recognized by the sag at the end of the year by their fellow peers who voted for him an elevated and they will become the person they are portraying. You'll see a guy that does a great job in a western but he's not actually cowboy doesn't actually ride a horse around has gotta sick shooter on his hip but he he did for that character and he believed it. You'll see some of the greats like matthew mcconaughey. Hey that have to lose weight for a role and they will actually do it. They will go and lose forty pounds. They were going to become that person. You'll see people that have to play homeless or somebody like in concentration. Can't tough situation and they will wear less clothing. Eat less food sometimes. Sleeping bag conditions just to get ready for the role. They will become that person but as soon as they quit. You walk away you go back to your normal life and you wait to get the next script. It's an advantage that an actor has because it evan flows and it moves all the time when you're an entertainer in the world of sport in it's the same character in the same gimmick day in day out. You don't get a new script over time. If you become very good at it that character you will mark for your own. Gimmick you will forget where the act ends and the real begins. And i'm seeing side of connor who has preached for years that he will stand alone he has no friends. It's him versus the world ireland versus everybody that is a great story. Line is the very storyline that stone cold. Steve austin used stone cold wasn't with the heels and he wasn't with the bad guys he didn't like the heels and he did. It looked like the good guys. He hated them all he stood alone. Never been done. Before there was no character was ever developed like that. The bad guys when the bad guys good guys with the good guys don't cold stood alone and flip them both off. It been done the closest that we've ever seen in. Mma is the as boys antibody. Everybody gets treated the same. You part of the scrap. Pack or your everybody else. Great great marketing it works. Connor was playing that same role but it appears now. He started to think that he actually could do it by himself. Which he can't he can't find it any advice. I could give connor. It would be just a stop with mcgregor sports whatever that is talking about going out and promoting a fight. He was lose all of his money. We'll be like brewsters millions. He will be broke instantly. We does not know what he's doing and he will never learn 'cause there's three or four people alive that know outta do it and it's a closed mouth business. They're never going to tell you now. I share that with you because the lane that he's in if he stays in it is a beautiful lane made out of gold wonderful spot. But as i start seeing starting to mark out for his own gimmick..

"You got worn out or what, you know, it is. It was fighting for the title. You fought had a couple of days before. But War, they did not regard you. Let me think of more excuses to make question. That's a strategy in Russia, me and fucking whore, which got out there, like twelve hours before the way. In fact, it was like two days before do. I am? It was rough. I didn't mean to me, too. Yeah, I got flashed. And then I grabbed the leg and he kept piled it, and the rest eventually stopped us dead or alive, but I could have pushed forward. I couldn't did more. So, I guess. They're so what's going through your head? Like, I still have it tonight. What? No? I got flashed that. I was just getting pounded. I was hoping up in the leg. Yeah, I just kind of stopped. I didn't I just held onto it was just getting punched your flight. So man. Like when you fought James Krause like even though you didn't win that fight to me, you were such a hero. I never you were it was one of those things where it was like the real life Rudy where I'm like this dude. He's going to catch him. He's a catch him cuz I don't know if you watch the season Ultimate Fighter met him. He was Tom, was a guy that was like everyone would kept picking as like, oh, oh you're going to get destroyed basis. Right? And he just kept rear-naked joking. Everybody. Every single person. You know, I've heard, I never watched it, but I've heard of his exploits. Yeah. Yeah. Every every time they were, like, I would just hate the guy down and just choke him out. People were just like dumbfounded as like, how did that happen? Motherfukers a grappling? Hey, what are those? Damn Chattanooga you in San Jose? German television? Hey, bro. This here. Let me tell you, there's a bunch of Miller's out there. So be careful when you sign up to the gym The Miller's. Yeah. We're From Chattanooga and from, yeah, we're out there from the Appalachians more, you know what I mean? But Chattanooga. Yeah, but yeah, the Miller family is like natural over from yes. So, by the way, we have talked right now. There's a big fight right now between Daniel Cormier and Conor McGregor on Twitter. Oh, wow, you know, if I wage, which one is big, I don't know if you've seen any of it. So, I don't know what Connors doing cuz it keeps tweeting stuff. And then deleting it. I mean this happened like five times. That's the new thing, huh, I think trying to reply to tweets and it says no and I'm like, oh great, another person, blocked me and then it's like, no, this tweet was deleted. Like each me about Daniel. Cormier is a fat mess. Getting the worst conditions of the day. God bless him showing up, drunk immediate events the very day before he was in the booth. Calling my fight, drunken ImmediaDent. Working the day before being a commentator and the biggest fight history. He go off. You're bad situations. Just mental to your weight and way of life is abysmal. And now, you're drunk at work. The day before. You commentate on my bike, pitiful grabs. John on the head, kick knockout anniversary over you. Good. Good always defeats evil. Wasn't sure. You were evil face and then he goes, he goes, get it together. Belching at the Mike at a press event. And on all the day before a fight your disgrace. And then what's the name? Rollback, Daniel Cormier rollback. He kind of he like responded saying right now. Motherfuker. I'm retired,, I'm the best, getting in the UFC the most experienced. You wish you could do this white boy, that would be like a quarter-million. You basically said worry about yourself off because worry about the guys who beat you and like, like what a fight. Start worrying about Connor's Jumping the Shark right now, he's losing. He has a band. Like, come on. Hey Daniel. Cormier has earned the right to drink, some fucking Modelo song. 12 round, 2 kilo or whatever. The clock Connor cells and he can show up to work whenever he feels like in his fucking oversized, 42 long suit, you know what I'm saying? And then and then then, then he said, keep that same energy when I see you. I hate to see Daniel Cormier Theatre rack of ribs and slam Conor McGregor on his Pumpkinhead. Okay. Wage and McGregor need to chill out and worried about his fights. Not, not the commentator, Jesus Christ, and then let me do that. Riverdance, kick and broke his fucking leg off. You know, now it can't see. Conor McGregor fight phone number. Eight weeks. I lead or bombard. We have the bare-knuckle Fighting Champion. Most handsome, his bare knuckle fighter in a whole fucking world wage. Yeah, my man, Jesus Christ already. Looks like you coming back on the morning. I remember back in the days when you had all the all the juice. First off, all the fresh stuff. I remember, I really had a beautiful cars. Had a beautiful house. This guy was he was paid. He was, he was making fun of money. You I'm talking about you. I know, it's just like around the Bully Beatdown going on you guys through, by the way, I don't know who, I don't know who fucking make you change your mind because that's it was great. I appreciate it. I just appreciate it and especially them calling from the blurry diploma land and I don't know what's going on in the background there, but I appreciate it man. So I don't know what's going on with this fucking blurry. I'm just trying to figure out. Yep. Gray me to see exactly. Since we saw you last, you got into a altercation with Tyron Woodley, a bare knuckle boxing about your side chick. You guys both have the same side chick off. And now now listen listen, let me explain to you. Once again, let me explain to you once again. What really fucking happened? Because I don't know for somehow, you know, get it, get it off, explain how some people don't fucking get it, right? Okay, my insurance know about the girl. My age is know about whatever. Okay, my issue is with the fucking clown that his cock blocking. Okay, like Toby, someone fucking trash about me to go ahead and do it. Go fucking mention, my fucking fucking clown. Are you obsessed with me? Are you a form or something? Yeah, right. You you have said that he was putting you down in order to get laid. Just get laid, Don't Worry? Be Happy song, but don't fucking Bosch me. Make sure my name every fucking second. Okay, so when you saw him at the bare knuckle boxing, it sounds like you told them how how you felt you see him like he was somewhat apologetic and then Damon Feldman came over. The promoter. Are you guys going after he beats Jake, Paul? Are you going to fight him and bare-knuckle boxing? I ask me bro, you know, you're listening. I used to I The motherfuker expired. Always delete. Nobody knows what happened with my career and the situations and dramas that I have going on at that time, but You know, I was fucking beast. You still are a B. I mean, not, you know, like everybody else go. Yeah, so I took a couple of times he inspiring, so he knows what's going on, right? So, but but it seemed like he was open to fighting you after he finds Jake Paul, right? He seemed like, he was like, all right, let's do it. He told me you won't do it. Do it. He won't be. But.

"Let's get back to the show next question we're still on the sprint train. This is a very sprint heavy episode. But like han his says. How to period is max velocity work of suing max. Philosophy sprint work. Once intensity is at the max and assisted or over speed is touched upon sporadically. Where do we go from there. Go from fly thirties to flying. Thirty five to forty s question mark we could increase volume of jumps Without increasing sprint volume go from five by forty meters to six to seven by forty meters. I'm very creative and very a lot. But this seems something that stays without consensus. Okay so when you ask me these questions. My mind is very I don't know say divergent in terms of thinking. So i'm probably going to give you something that might be a little bit different in some senses the word but i don't really think of this question in terms of linear volumes. So if i'm talking about how do i go throughout the training year period. max velocity. We're am i taking it. Well maybe i'll and i just wanna make this attracted field question. I know there's a lot of team sport. Conditioning coaches out. There who utilize like flying tens and things like that. And i think that's a good thing i think that's awesome and we've had like joel reinhard andrew cormier mirror talking about a feed the cats bay soccer training system or field hockey. Really cool stuff..

"You just gotta learn to put yourself in the right position. And then it gets way easier with repetition of us doing us and it was just like a ton of really white. Nah our volume of stuff. And i remember like a month and a half later. The coach. like whatever you're doing it's awesome and it was like we're working most basic stuff. It's just teaching her hat. Moving at slowing her down a little bit but still learning how to like. Stand up. Really vassar jump. High whatever biz and it's like once that's tied in and if you communicate that to the entire team when you're working with them i think it makes it so much easier for like especially the woman's the women's side to like. Oh this makes a lot of sense. I just put myself in the right position to do this. And then it'll be better. Yeah i i definitely agree with the idea of the structure dictating the function at i. I remember your stories. Make me think about I have one kind of pop out and there was a tennis player as working with about four years ago. And the was like this guy. He's he's fast. Linearly like powerful that. He really has a hard time moving laterally on the court and i mean i would i knew back then was he had like zero internal rotation so you watch those tennis players in. They're ready position they. They're neither in their feet of this triangle. They do the little hop and they form this kind of triangle. This guy had like very limited capacity right off the bat. So it's like the only way that he's gonna have to somehow find a way to increase this guy's ability to get into you know somewhat of these positions if you're going to ask him to do this and he also did not to get to squat down and now i realize with bill hartman stuff and talking to more of that crowd. It's he had a hard time expanding as pelvic floor..

"Speed training is always fun to talk about in the context of track and field or running a forty yard dash. It's a really simple skill. But we can get very complex and talking about how to improve it or the many facets that make up actually moving as fast as you can in a straight line when we look at speed in the context of team sport had actually gets even more complicated. We have not only athletes running fast in a straight line but also running with different mechanics to get onto a ball or market defender or to change directions or any of the many tasks that are called upon in a game situation. Not only this. But there's also often interaction in training and trading volumes that switch back and forth between the team sport coach and the physical preparation coach or perhaps even the sports medicine and rehabilitation team. I always love learning. Had i think that there's so much to learn it not only speed for track and field and linear running but also Just in the context of how really intelligent coaches are utilizing progressive concepts in making athletes faster. Not only just for pure linear speed but also faster in a way that makes them more robust in the context of team sports so for the show. Today i'm really excited to have andrew cormier joel reinhard. They're both sports. Performance coaches at the university of massachusetts. Andrew works with men's lacrosse women's soccer and softball and joel works with football and women's lacrosse. Together they also runs sprint. Jump throw dot com website as well as the sprint jump. Throw performance podcasts for the show today. Andrew joel are going to talk about their for speed training in the context of sports. That they've taken a lot of adaptations from tony. Holler you may have heard joel. Then teaser talk about the rank record and publish ideas and they get really good. Improvements in top end velocity and joel in andrew. Really work hard to fill the buckets. Athletes are not getting in the context of their workloads through actual team sport play and also to reduce the unnecessary noise. That athletes just don't need with everything else they had going on in the show today. We're gonna talk about this system running technique how they manage workloads how the incorporate the rank recording publish with team sports. They're also gonna talk about visual field. Perception bottling gin and game speed development concepts. Finally we will get in the weight room and talk a little bit on tempo and isometrics and how. The uniqueness of the weight room fills the bucket that the athlete might not be getting everywhere else and how they can complement their speed based training program for team. Sports this was a really fun. Chat these two coaches are young but they are really doing great things and it was great to sit down and have a chat with them. I'm sure you love this conversation. Let's get onto the show andrew. Joel welcome to the show. It's awesome to have you guys here and Just start by telling us a little bit about yourselves. You guys have a podcast. I often ask this question. I think since you guys work together Give me a little background of you. Guys is history in working together as coaches. we've i met. We need a string college. I should say we both did the masters program of string field college. I g eight at springfield a c. Jada amherst college while doing his classes at springfield and i mean we met their end. My head like we're doing sprint training like cool. We got a couple of reps focused on it. And maybe we're going to start a couple. Wraps were narrow stare at a point off to the side like diagonally in front of us. You're always going to track there. But were on the run in a straight line and you're going to learn how to track we'll be in the position and the only thing that were changing his the actual digital supplement fly of beginning of practice than we have a much more open full field style practice. Where there's anything coach wants to work on in a full field on eleven environment put on those days and then we finish that with pretty high intensity lift. You know as soon as we're done tracking it. I rank him senate in the group message like but a top to bottom color coded green to read whatever makes it all pretty scented. The girls Pr's on air. You know they just get excited about it. I was talking with tony about this last week. Actually that was andrew cormier. Joel reinhard. you're listening to the just live performance. Podcast before we get to the show. Today i wanted to mention a really cool item that is available now from our sponsor simply faster dot com in their store. Item is exigent premium wearable resistance. Oxygen is a series of tight fitting sleeves along with uniquely shaped fuse a form weights that strapped directly onto those sleeves. So what i mean is you can have shin sleeves arm sleeves the shorts in a vest and you can strap. These uniquely fuse forms shaped weights their light nature. One hundred two hundred grams that strap on in a way that allows you not only to resist movement very specifically but also add. Fine tuned elements rotation to that resistance. So this is the next level of wearable resistance. You may have heard this from back long ago on the show. Hank cryan hof talking about it too recently. Chris corpus sprint coach. Talking about it. This is the next level in premium. Wearable resistance. I've used it myself. I love it. I love not only the way it feels and the way you feel form and technique chains at. It's like combining technique with power and so often we just think about weighted vests just pure force pure downward gravity loaded resistance. This is the ultimate combination of technique with power and it shows up and things like chris corpus being able to take time off and athletes ten meter fly by putting the sleeves just on one side of the body and hips.

"He looks back to another episode of this week and photo I'm your host Frederik van Johnson today we're traveling all the way to Dubai from California to talk with Katharina about some amazing work that she put together. We're going to dive in deep. We don't have a whole lot of time, but I want to dive in and get an idea of the project. She's put together that she's shooting or that she shot the the the driving force behind that and you can read all about this in the the companion article on the blogger for dot com. But I WANNA I WANNA dive into get a little bit get a little bit deeper and take different angles. So kathrina welcome to the show how are you doing? Thanks for having me. Is. Good to have you, it is really good to have you. You know you are right now sitting in Dubai I gotTa tell you. Dubai is on my list of cities that I absolutely have to go visit. I gotTA climb to the top of that the tallest building in the world. If I if they let me up there, I need to do that. So tell me about that I about yourself tells about Kevin and what makes what your driving force that that pushes you to create these amazing images that you create. So I'm Swedish born in Sweden I left when I was eleven. Had lived in Pakistan and Turkey and California, and and also in France and England and I ended up in Dubai when I was eighteen years old and I walked into a newspaper and then said. I'm really good photography should hire me and I only had a couple pieces. I don't again shooting for the high school use paper. And I think they just I don't know they just took a chance and I got a job with them and I started shooting. For this newspaper and was really interesting time I stayed for almost a year and then I start desisting for for four years almost. So that's Kinda where my training. Happen. Really. And I've been. Working in the commercial sphere in in the United Arab Emirates. Since Nineteen ninety-two I've been here who? How? Wow. Okay. So you're not a visitor, you're a resident. What's life like there? What's life like in Dubai for photographer? Me and I'm asking selfishly because one day. I'm going to go there. If I if I show up into by what, what do I have to expect? It's actually like a super vibrant community. It's very arty community. It wasn't I arrived I mean I was the only female photographer here and that obviously has changed in the last twenty eight years Now it's it's really amazing place to be. You're also in a can. I feel like we're in the middle of the world there because we are now four hours to Kenya, you're coming up hours to You know to Jordan Ghanistan four hours to you know SRI. Lanka and Maldives. So. Kind of you can hope on play. Well, not right now but you Name and and be anywhere. You know within four or five hours I love. That's how I worked in the whole region for for traveling and it's been you know Saudi and Bahrain and Qatar in all these places so I feel Very, much at home in this part of the world mnay. Back to Europe feel a little like I say, Hi to everyone people elect why she saying hi to us. It's more like. It's very friendly now. Wow, that's exciting. Yeah. That's city beds that whenever I see pictures like pictures of Dubai, are on my screen saver on my television. So you know whenever that comes up I'm just thinking that just looks like a city of the future. It looks like if you in this is kind of what he did. It looks like when you if you had a blank canvas and you said, you know what? I want to build an money's no object. Obviously. Build the best city that I can possibly build. This is the city that you would build as. I think very much like that is so modern in you know in. So many ways of of you know the way you conduct your daily life it's oil online and this kind of you can you can it's it's so accessible. I have to say that this morning when it's actually today is the day of. Summer and full rights Eckrodt's. Think. To, Dame, we've had an yesterday we've had fog and it happens when it changes weather from summer you know being really really hot. So every photographer in Dubai on instagram today and yesterday had pictures you know. Everyone makes up. Summer is over let's go out and shoot. Dubai. That's the thing you know photographers. If you you you. If you're in a place without studying places to photograph, it's kind of like torture right? Because you have got what was amazing geared software and others but I don't have anything to take photos of sounds like you. You have what you need to shoot and the locations to go shoe win when you're able to travel. So you're you're living. The dream. Super Hall tried. So it's you know the Celsius so it's it's kind of you don't go out during the day at old. Months. Yeah. Let's switch gears and talk about your work with the ski school in in how that came about and you give me give me a little bit of a background on that project. Right, so I do not philanthropic. Projects. Every. Year. Also parts of the applicable to refers. And, we tend to go to places but this one in particular I'm having because my my husband's boss is from Italy as she was advising the ski school of Cormier in Italy and the Ski Association of Korea. And this guy's premiere. On a brochure were making. She had a look at it and you know they were coming up with ideas and she's like I know this will talk she should come and do this. She doesn't know these projects. So I became involved in just in the year of two thousand and nineteen and we start talking about it. I got really excited because I love skiing and I felt I was heading. Over there to do this project on skis going up in the mountains, but it took so long for us to organize everything eventually on I flew in July of that year in two thousand and nineteen.

"Odds. It's probably as they get worse. You know throw going three to five. I would say they'll probably hang a three three and a half is pretty standard for cormie fights as he is usually usually in championship main event fights for that five around duration so i would say it's probably right around three and a half <hes>. I'm not going to get involved. Both of these guys you know they can put the lights gourmet. That's the fact and you know nobody has really been better in that transition game of of pulling off stoppages in really winning the fight pillar to post if it went to a decision or if it didn't got finished along the way so i'm not gonna probably be getting involved in this either way from a betting perspective as the current prices but you know from a pig perspective man and you're never gonna get me to bet against a new corey unless he's fighting one john jones and that's the stance at i'll take on this one as well all right so we definitely have a lot to look forward to here in the main event now of course be pulling for steeping. Maybe i'll put i don't know maybe i'll put the emotional hedge on cormet here in this one but we've got some very good fights on the card otherwise anthony pettus and nate diaz pedestal right now minus one thirty favourite over at the sl. What are you thinking about this fight here christian yeah making his return polarizing guy and polarizing figure in the sport hasn't fought since the mcgregor series back in two thousand sixteen march fifth and august twentieth and you know if you kind of take those out of their <hes> the last wind comes in other take away his mcgregor win but it is what it is last wins have come in two thousand sixteen in two thousand fifteen nate diaz because of who he is is in the persona that he brings to the table largely gets a pass when it comes to the tactical version of it being mixed martial artist.
