"We're gonna start you in the G league. We don't think you're gonna play very much in the NBA. We're gonna see how this goes. Versus like, you know, we're not gonna tell them, and we're gonna just let it play out. We're not lying to him. We're not telling anything that we don't believe. But we're just kind of like, we're gonna let him do you, we're gonna let him Cory do it Corey does, and we're gonna see how it goes and, you know, I think he definitely chose the right way. It's so funny that he's living at like, you're living like the two K my player life, where you like go in and meet with the GM and you have to hit like a or B unlike decisions. When I played as a kid, those conversations stressed me. And then I got played Madden O 8 growing up and I would answer what I thought would be the right questions and all of a sudden I have you get like these badges that are like, oh, he's like the lone wolf. He's a team player and I'm like, I'm trying to think like a chess match, like three steps ahead, like what do I answer? What button do I press? How is this gonna play out a week from now? No, I actually have them, you know, Madden prepared me for those. Yeah, that's awesome. Do you play do you play two K? I do a little bit, like I've played with, I've played with myself. It really bothered me because they don't give rookies very high numbers. I think Zion Williamson has the highest two K rating like in the last ten years as a rookie and he was like an 83. All right, what was your dog? I was like a 70 7? That's not 7. 6 away from Zion. Those numbers, I know the guy who does the two K ratings and he doesn't hand them out like candy. You guys really like smooth them a little bit. Some guys do, I'm not big into like stream on Twitch or do any of the games or anything like that, but some guys like really are tweeting at them. Have a big week and they're like tweeting at them. So they get did they get your look all right? Like were you happy with the way? I added like the long hair and the headband my senior year of college and so they literally sit in a truck and steer to camera and there's like cameras like whizzing around your head. Oh they did that for they do that for everyone everybody. Jeez. Everybody. Wow. And so it's pretty good. How long does that take? 15 minutes? Do you get geared up for it? No makeup, but I throw the gel in the hair, put the headband on and just sit there and I'm like, oh, that helps. That's what you made it wrong. When you got the.

But you're wearing it no hobby. It's a hobby for you. Because it's like a funny saying that kids says, it was a funny saying that people were saying. But it literally is a lobby. I like. Late checkout. I thought it was a good one. Yep. Why? It's a saying about not everything has to be a play on something. Late check out his lobby party is better than eating a lobby. Lobby potty? The lobbyist. I just got a couple of these a little bit. Eno lobby is. Lazy. It's lazy. Check out desk or whatever. Please check out. That's not lazy. We thought about sayings and terms about it. They know lobby feels like it's a prisoner of the moment. It literally is a lobby. It is a lobby. The only person or something? Yeah, it's like where it's a late checkout. We're hanging around the lobby, which is what you do when you have a late check. This dude fucking loves ain't no lobby. Riggs does. No, no, if he's ready to go to war for it. No, I'm just curious. It's coming off like a really bad. Like you're in a really bad mood right now. I was just curious about ain't no lobby, but it's a lot. Make sure you watch on YouTube to make sure you get the tone of what's going on here. Not just listen to the audio. I was gonna say for his life right now. I think you're kind of the one. I feel fine. I love late checkout. I thought anal lobby just doesn't make any sense because it is a lobby. That's how I feel as well. Why would we do a podcast in the lobbyist has ain't no lobby? Would you like about that? Let's think about this. This one, we're literally on a back in the backyard of this ain't no lobby. I guess I didn't know we took everything so literally. I just thought it was kind of a fun name. I guess if you're gonna go by that premise, I don't understand why late checkout would make a lot more sense. 'cause you're not checking out the hotel here in the lobby. You're not out of the hotel yet. Who is it? The people doing the podcast, dude. If we did, if we did a hotel podcast, why would late check out not make sense? Just because we're not checking out in that moment, we're just like. Correct. We're in the lobby. We're hanging out in the hotel. So when you get a lane, check out, you don't just stay in your room, isn't that why you could stand there and we can go to the bar, you can go to the lobby. I don't want to do a lot. I don't want to do the lobby podcast anymore. No, I don't. I think that podcast is now. Here's full disclosure. We've done the bar so classic today, and I think, I don't know. You're raising a weird mood because we're like, it's been late. Two days in a row, I get it. A lot of handshakes, a lot of people fucking around, and it's just, I don't know, tempers are high. And we just didn't like it either. So we won't cover them. It'll go something different. Yeah. "Corey Dan bongino called the sussman trial and the revelations that are being uncovered. The biggest political scandal in modern American history. I agree with that. Do you? I absolutely agree with it. And the fact that it isn't being covered in most of the press is because they know it's true. They know sussman lied to the FBI. They know the political hit job. And at minimum, they were complicit in this. I know. That came to. They knew this whole dossier was fake. The media did nothing to validate it. They took sussman at his word and they peddled information. Look, Michael, don't forget the guy who lied on the Pfizer applications who was an FBI employee. Why is it that once The New York Times decides something is validated that the rest of the media comes and says, well, The New York Times said it. Look, over the weekend, The New York Times said that 5000 kids between the ages of 5 and 11 years old, 11 years old, died from COVID. Absolutely not true. I know. Corey Lewandowski: Michael Sussmann Will Get a Slap on the Wrist

"Must be a similar satisfaction that you're feeling right now in Robbie mook testifying Friday that it was actually Hillary who said give this phony story to the news media. Corey, give me your thoughts, give me your take. I know you're following this Michael sussman trial pretty closely. What's the Corey Lewandowski takeaway of what we've learned so far? Michael, here's the problem. Sussman is probably going to be found guilty of lying to the FBI because we have his text messages when he reached out to baker who at the time was the chief legal counsel for the FBI and said I'd like to come and see you and it's not for a client and it's not for a political campaign just as the goodness of my own heart. I want to share this information with you. We have that text message and that's what Durham predicated this whole follow-up on. Now what we're going to find out, though, because justice is not equally distributed, we know that Robbie milk has now said that Hillary Clinton green lit this, but that Robbie never knew it was going to go to the FBI. We were just going to give it to The New York Times. And what sussman told baker we now know was we think you should investigate this because The New York Times is about to run the store. And then baker actually called The New York Times and said, hey, please don't run the story yet because the FBI wants to track it down when the entire time Susan was a source to The New York Times. And so what's going to happen to sussman? My guess is, I get to slap on the wrist. Maybe he loses his law license for a year. Maybe he gets probation, but his life will get destroyed like Michael Flynn. He's not going to end up bankrupt. He's not going to be dragged in front of Congress like Corey Lewandowski was in front of Jerry Nadler.

Every one of them did. It's called insider trading. Let's start there. Then on top of that, they're really so stupid to think that the average American will go spend anywhere from 70 to $90,000 for an electric car and have their house rewired to put in one of these plugs, which you still got to pay for the electric. Which I'm told is going to run us anywhere from 70 to a $100 a week to charge one of these damn cars.

The Brutal Power of Teachers' Unions With Corey DeAngelis

"Talk to us about the role of the unions, how they behave, how they intimidate and also give us a fair picture of the teachers, not all of them want to be pro BLM neo marxists today. Yeah, you can be pro teacher and be anti teachers unions because the teachers union bosses like Randy weingarten often don't push for policies that benefit the great teachers that already exist in the public school and private school classrooms. You have Randy weingarten making over 9 times the average teacher salary in the U.S.. Right, because teachers about 50 grand. Yeah, 50 60 grand on average. Over 500. Owned $570,000. And if you look just at the trends over time, I mean, you've got to look at the data since 1970, per people education expenditures in the United States after adjusting for inflation increased by about a 152% in the U.S.. But average teacher salaries only increased by about 8% in real terms. So we're throwing more and more money into the system. It's going to the superintendents and administrative votes. They're associate deans of diversity in blah, blah, blah, right? And so that's good for teachers union bosses like Randy weingarten because that means more dues paying members. If you just paid the teachers better, especially the ones that are doing a good job, well, you don't get an additional dues paying member. And so that means less money for the teachers that are doing a good job, more money for the union bosses and union leadership. Another report by Ben schaffer at kennesaw state university looked between the years of 1992 and 2014 similarly finding nationwide an increase in about 27 per people education expenditures in real terms, whereas teacher salaries over that period actually dropped by 2% after adjusting for inflation. So again, he said the same thing that there's a staffing surge, they're putting more people into the buildings. We saw this with COVID as well. The latest budget numbers I've seen with Los Angeles public schools, they were planning to increase their perpetual education expenditures over the past couple of years by about 69%,

I'm just saying like in the proper head space. Maybe you do something crazy. Like i could imagine. I would kind of lose it a little bit. If i accidentally killed somebody. That's a pretty big deal. You kind of yeah. So i'm playing devil's advocate on that. Yeah no i agree with you. I feel like in most cases if that would happen. If you actually shot somebody you try and get a hold authorities. Come out whatever and what his friends have said. We heard gunshots. Are we heard a gunshot. Yeah especially in the mountains. Yeah yeah one hundred percent. I mean that would echo around and you know unless his friends were in on it. Which that's just crazy. I just felt like saying that another theory was that corey may have survived for quite a long time and one search thought. They may have found a campsite with an old fire. So i don't know if it means anything in the grand scheme of compensation but just a little background information there but everything's well corey's fine and healthy. He missed. The race in michigan sat home and watched it. I think he engaged with all of you on social media. While he was watching the cup series race came back. A daytona had a fantastic run. In that seven car was in contention. I think even led some laps wanted to go up there and flex his muscle he did. Just that and was in contention late of course. Superspeedway racing can be as cruel as it is beautiful. And that's what happened to corey. Didn't walk away with the wind but he definitely got a lot of attention for himself. Spire motor sports as well as sponsor. I think it was built bar. That weekend was really cool to see all right. I hope you enjoyed the conversation as much as i did. You know by now. Hopefully that you can leave a rating in review on apple podcast or wherever. You may be listening to this if you have that option. If not find me on social media very easy to do my handle. Everywhere is just my name at kelly crandall on twitter instagram. The public facebook page. I stressed that a lot. Because if you send me a facebook friend request on my personal page. It's going to go on answered. I am never over there. I can't even tell you what's going on with my family or my friends. Because i don't use facebook in less. I am over there.

"Podcast is not really focused on racing. Corey has spoken many times this year about what's going on with his team so i wanted to instead focus on his side job. I guess you could call it. Corey is doing his own. Podcast called stacking pennies. You can find that on apple google wherever you may listen to podcasts. And he's also done a lot more sirius. Xm nascar radio this year as basically a permanent fill in hosts during the fox portion of the schedule for larry mcreynolds. When larry mack was needed for his fox duties on tuesdays. Corey was on the radio. Alongside daniel trotta so the focus of this conversation as i said is on the media work that has been doing because i've just been fascinated on how he continues to find ways to interact with you the race man as well as offer inside information on the podcast or the radio and just sharing more of a driver perspective. So that's what i want to talk about. And i was actually really impressed with corey. Saying it's become a job for him. The work he puts in particularly with the podcast so again. That's what we focus on today in this conversation with that let's anymore time. Here is corey. Love joy on the racing writers. Podcast.

"Okay welcome back so. The group starts off with corey on the phone with the dispatcher. Trying to get some help. She's trying to figure out where he is so she can send a tow truck to the correct place. then. I hear digging and digging. Sounds like what happens when your car's off but the door opens and the key is the admission then. I hear corey. Say something along the lines of. Yeah i'm good now. What i can barely hear. But according to the transcript officer raja's says really a couple of times then all of a sudden officer raja says. Get your fucking hands up twice. Dan says hold on officer. Raja again. says get your fucking hands up. Drop and right after that. They were three gunshots. So because this is only audio of course. We can't see what happened. But this is what i think happened remember. It is three o'clock in the morning and corey standing on the side of the road with his music equipment. The same equipment. He brought a gun to protect sees a random white van. Pull up mir's vehicle and a random man who we now know as officer raja and street clothes begins to approach him. That's when corrie likely opened the car door. The guy is probably looking and acting strange. So during the confrontation. Corey shows the guy that he's armed. That's when officer raja pulls out his own personal gun and shoots corey first. So that's what i think happened in the moments leading up to corrie's death what happens next is according to the investigation. Corey tries to get away by getting out of the car and running away from officer. Roger while corey is running. He throws his gun and officer. Raja shoots him three more times and he dies at the scene. Corey was thirty one years old according to officer raja. He said he shot at corey and thought corey had dropped a gun when he was running away down an embankment but suddenly corey had turned around and officer. Roger saw something silver in corey's right hand so he fired at corey three more times based on the investigation by the palm beach county sheriff's office and the palm beach gardens police. The gun wasn't even close to corey's body. The investigation also revealed that corey never fired his gun and it was found about seventy two yards from his. Suv and cory's body was found about sixty four yards past that so it sounds like corey was running. He threw the gun pretty quickly and kept running until officer. Roger shot him. There was a span of about ten seconds between the first set of three shots and the second set corey was hit and both arms and the fatal bullet went through his heart and both of his lungs. After the investigation was complete officer. Raja was charged with manslaughter by culpable negligence and attempted first degree. Murder with a firearm. Yes you heard correctly. Attempted first degree murder with a firearm. Now.

This is why you want to be and you do because this film is it starts as a colt and gradually takes us all in the lost boys attain movie fun pie film and not like the used to be lots of bleached hand leather jackets. A soundtrack loves this great version of the doors. People are strange. Don't by echo in the bunny man. Vampires as desirable from pies a sexy and cool before buffet before twilight before. Let the right one. In all the dracula remakes makes his the plot all the important. That corey has to say this big brother. Who's turning into a blood sucking killer. Kiefer sutherland among others is out to get him. Correy's got mate to help him another corey. This one to corey feldman star of the goonies stunned by may thin face. Big black rimmed glasses. Drought and they have you know ill matic draft and then you know even when we got in high school punishment by some of my favorite albums already you know. Know i'm gonna make the case that we we we were in the golden area have nothing nothing but we had these like i mean if you look at the score looks like jordan six rings conversation. You see there though. Is that what it goes to lady off. Yeah it is you know i resisted. I was in the baseball for six years in basketball for that kind of overlapped and then into high school. Aau then i one day. I walked into the van. The band room was a already the marching band. You know in the percussion percussion section. And i don't know man. I wanted to play the trombone. Random lag my uncle played it. But i wasn't that drawn to it. I try to play before you know wasn't really drawn to it then so i quit after like a month went back to sports but i don't know that day it was like november of two thousand. So we're this is almost twenty years now yet. I've been chipping away at it. S pretty late. You know. I was fifteen years old but In terms of you know when you start a star playing an instrument everybody starts in like middle school but middle. School didn't have a program. Had a journalism program had like a telecommunications you know morning show program but it was like we're gonna pass on these whatever that one day. I heard it house. Like i think i wanna play the trombone. I think you know. And i only knew it really in the context of marching band. But i like the trombone. Section was working on a fanfare. Something like that. And i was like this. This is pretty powerful like this. Is you know. I mean the trombone has been you know equated or you know people say it's very similar to the voice of god. The human voice. James corden johnson with Gosh trombones you know. Illiteracy Again equating the voice of guide to the instrument with also you know because of the slide and how it bend it can been notes and everything people think it's the closest thing to the human voice so that day just like the instrument was singing. Now i gotta do this so literally every not every day but every day since then you know. It's just it's been about trying to you know capture that in some some form or fashion chasing the dragon. It the that that that description of kind of being rounded early on And it reminds me of. I think it was a memoir of course loves memoir okay and i fell into the trap not not that is a good. It's a good look on that. But i fall into the trap. If people have the same birthday i have. I have to kind of follow what they do. I got the book and kind of learned about his background and he was just like i was always around circles. He's like being in a house. He's like a sorry thing and that he wasn't necessarily a good student but being around circles and being around like come from you know musician family and being around circles..

"My name is jay is it's thursday afternoon and i gotta tell you something. All oh my gosh. Do we have a great show. I say it every week but i am telling you and i say that every week i i am telling you this show. The book is entitled authentic negotiating by the way the title is great but in my opinion it's not great enough. This is one of those books. Let me tell you what this book. This is one of those books that i read this book from covered covered like i do and i went oh. I don't think this is a show. I think corey wrote this book for me. That's what he did. He wrote this book for me because he's challenging me. He was like going j. You know what you gotta do this. You got your st thing. I'm i'm just telling you right now and by the way you better check in with some c._p._r. Okay we'll get to those akron later. I am just telling you right. Now that this book walk authentic negotiating <hes> clarity detachment in equilibrium the three keys to the negotiating success and how to achieve them is freaking awesome awesome. Okay it is. It is a game changer more than that. It is a life changer. I don't care if you are in business. Not in business you are going to be faced with negotiating something even if it means negotiating with yourself okay and there is a better way to do that and this book tells you how it is brilliant. I i love it and we're going to talk to corey cup for because it's just a while book but let's do what we do every week right. Would i do every week. I check in with you in the four areas of your life you know. I believe that we are four part. People we are physical or mental. People were emotional spiritual people and those four areas right. I always say that the four areas are like the legs of a chair right if they're if they're coming up in there even and at the right height the chairs a perfect place to set okay but if they're uneven it's hard senate uneven sharon if it's too low. It's really hard to sit too so let's check in skill of one to ten one being miserable ten being outstanding five being average. How are you physically today everybody so how does how does that how how oh you. How are you physically not feeling good right. So what are you going to see. Why maybe you're saying you know what i've been slacking in the gym. You know okay well then. Let's get started or you're gonna you know my eating habits had been great. It's labor day weekend. I know i'm going to be sloth and i'm gonna eat horribly. Maybe that's what you're do whatever it may be you know what what can you do to change it right this the whole point. The whole point is okay. Whatever you're doing right now. Change it. You know what are you. What's the discipline. What's what. What do you have to negotiate with yourself to say. I gotta change the way i'm eating or.
